- 0:00Speaker 1: Yet I love the station.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Program loaded and ready and away we go.
- 0:07Speaker 3: See see.
- 0:12Speaker 4: See, see see.
- 0:18Speaker 5: You see.
- 0:29Speaker 6: Ladies and gentlemen, It's the Ron Edwards American Experienced talk
- 0:34Speaker 6: show where our unalienable rights are celebrated. And now your
- 0:39Speaker 6: radio refreshment.
- 0:41Speaker 7: Ron Edwards and everyone, this is Brian Johnson for the
- 0:56Speaker 7: as Ron Edwards on the Ron Edwards American Experience.
- 0:59Speaker 2: As to day, we have a treat. We have Congressman
- 1:01Speaker 2: John James on the line. He is the Michigan Republican
- 1:06Speaker 2: candidate for governor. And good afternoon in Congressman, how are
- 1:10Speaker 2: you today.
- 1:11Speaker 8: I'm doing wonderfully, well, blessed and highly favorite. Thanks for
- 1:14Speaker 8: having me, all.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Right, Amen, Amen, congratulations on your stunning victory. We're looking
- 1:20Speaker 2: forward to a new Michigan come January. Times wants bring
- 1:24Speaker 2: you on today to talk to you about just your
- 1:28Speaker 2: plans for Michigan once you're elected, some of the things
- 1:32Speaker 2: that you may see wrong with Michigan right now, and
- 1:35Speaker 2: how you plan to deal with tasks on fifteen.
- 1:37Speaker 8: Yeah, I actually see more things right with Michigan. Michigan
- 1:42Speaker 8: is the best place in the world. We're surrounded by
- 1:44Speaker 8: fresh water, we have an amazing environment. We have all
- 1:47Speaker 8: the ingredients, but we are being failed by leadership and Landsling.
- 1:51Speaker 8: There's more right with Michigan and wrong, and there are
- 1:54Speaker 8: ten million reasons why Michigan is going to not just
- 1:57Speaker 8: survive but thrive in the future. The people in the
- 2:00Speaker 8: state of Michigan, the people all over the state who
- 2:03Speaker 8: are demanding leadership who works as hard as them. I
- 2:07Speaker 8: believe very strongly that we need to stop socialism. We
- 2:10Speaker 8: need to save Michigan by focusing specifically on things that
- 2:13Speaker 8: everybody needs, that everybody can agree to, things like having
- 2:17Speaker 8: safer streets and communities, things like having excellent schools and education,
- 2:22Speaker 8: and things like tackling the affordability issues by doing things
- 2:25Speaker 8: like lowering taxes, having better jobs with higher pay, and
- 2:29Speaker 8: going after the healthcare, housing, and energy costs that have
- 2:32Speaker 8: ballooned under this administration. I'm excited for the opportunity to
- 2:35Speaker 8: lead all ten million Michiganders because these are the types
- 2:38Speaker 8: of things that really truly matter in the real world
- 2:41Speaker 8: for folks who've been hurting for so long.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So tell me about your first one hundred and twenty
- 2:47Speaker 2: days in office. What are your priorities to help Michigan
- 2:50Speaker 2: get back on try.
- 2:51Speaker 8: Well The first thing we need to do is address education,
- 2:54Speaker 8: and on day one, I'm going to be opting in
- 2:58Speaker 8: to the working Family tax cuts, the tax Freedom tax credit.
- 3:06Speaker 8: That's something we passed last year that Gretchen Whitmer could
- 3:09Speaker 8: opt into on day one. This is seventeen dollars tax free,
- 3:15Speaker 8: no strings that are going to other states that a
- 3:18Speaker 8: governor can opt into that Gretchen Whimer is not doing.
- 3:22Speaker 8: This is money that our parents can use to send
- 3:25Speaker 8: their child where they will be safest and most successful.
- 3:28Speaker 8: These are resources that could go to tutoring, additional school supplies,
- 3:33Speaker 8: things that will help the children be successful and safe.
- 3:37Speaker 8: I'm going to be opting into that on day one.
- 3:39Speaker 8: I'm also making sure that I put in place a
- 3:44Speaker 8: cabinet and administration that recognizes that Lansing works for the locals,
- 3:49Speaker 8: not the other way around, recognizes that our government needs
- 3:54Speaker 8: to be customer service obsessed, change the culture, so that
- 3:58Speaker 8: we're focusing on doing of things uh to to change
- 4:02Speaker 8: this trajectory around where we're going. So again we're going
- 4:06Speaker 8: to be focusing squarely on putting an administration in place
- 4:10Speaker 8: that will return the rights and good service to the people.
- 4:13Speaker 8: I firmly believe that the best government is is fair,
- 4:18Speaker 8: efficient and limited, making sure that we are we're executing
- 4:23Speaker 8: according to what's best for the people, protecting the rights
- 4:27Speaker 8: of the individuals. Uh and also of course prioritizing education.
- 4:31Speaker 8: Uh uh in that as well.
- 4:34Speaker 2: And when it comes to jobs and business, I think,
- 4:37Speaker 2: you know, Michigan is situated in one of the best
- 4:40Speaker 2: places in the country room international border, which I think
- 4:43Speaker 2: is very underutilized. You know, there's not a good inducive
- 4:48Speaker 2: business model for businesses to actually come in. So how
- 4:53Speaker 2: do you plan to address to get businesses back into
- 4:55Speaker 2: Michigan and bringing it back our middle class?
- 4:59Speaker 8: Yeah, this is this is something that I've dealt with.
- 5:01Speaker 8: I've actually created jobs, and I think that before you
- 5:04Speaker 8: become a CEO of a state, maybe you should have
- 5:06Speaker 8: run a business before. You know, I come from a
- 5:09Speaker 8: world where experience matters, and my opponent has not had
- 5:13Speaker 8: the occasion to develop the skills that to understand what
- 5:16Speaker 8: it actually takes to create economic development. See, because here's
- 5:19Speaker 8: the key. Economic development is not just about brick and mortar.
- 5:23Speaker 8: It's about flesh and blood. It's about making sure that
- 5:26Speaker 8: we can create pipelines of prosperity to folks who've been
- 5:29Speaker 8: hurting and disappointed from inner city Detroit to rural Upper Peninsula.
- 5:34Speaker 8: These are areas black or white, gay, straight, male female
- 5:37Speaker 8: upper Lower Peninsula who deserve to have economic opportunity. And
- 5:41Speaker 8: the way you do that is you have to change
- 5:43Speaker 8: the environment, philosophy, and culture in Landing. And the only
- 5:47Speaker 8: thing that I've ever been able to see that can
- 5:49Speaker 8: change all three of those things is leadership, proven tested leadership.
- 5:52Speaker 8: So as far as changing the environment in Michigan, we
- 5:55Speaker 8: have to have the tax reform, we have to have
- 5:57Speaker 8: the tort or the insurance reform, and we have to
- 5:59Speaker 8: have the regulatory reform so that we are keeping prices low,
- 6:03Speaker 8: we are keeping competition fair, and that we are keeping
- 6:08Speaker 8: we're keeping everybody able to grow and thrive with that environment.
- 6:12Speaker 8: Right now, Michigan is downright adversarial to business and that
- 6:16Speaker 8: hurts job creation and wage growth. By looking at the taxes,
- 6:22Speaker 8: lowering taxes, looking at lowering harmful regulations, this is going
- 6:28Speaker 8: to lower prices and create an opportunity for the businesses
- 6:31Speaker 8: that we have to stay and others to come, which
- 6:34Speaker 8: leads to the changing philosophy. This administration is frankly wasted
- 6:40Speaker 8: over one point eight billion dollars to create about six
- 6:43Speaker 8: hundred jobs. Imagine what you and your community could do
- 6:48Speaker 8: with a fraction of that amount. I believe very strongly
- 6:50Speaker 8: in changing the philosophy to retention, then reclamation, then recruiting.
- 6:54Speaker 8: Right now, with this overspending on corporate welfare and these
- 6:59Speaker 8: tax giveaways, they're having to do that because of the
- 7:02Speaker 8: business environment that is not favorable for job growth of
- 7:06Speaker 8: all sides. If we change our philosophy, then we're going
- 7:10Speaker 8: to have growth. Frankly, the current situation in Michigan doesn't
- 7:14Speaker 8: lend itself to growth of any business size. You cannot
- 7:17Speaker 8: bribe people enough money to make value destroying decisions. So
- 7:21Speaker 8: we're going to focus on keeping the businesses that we
- 7:24Speaker 8: have here, making it easier for small businesses to stay
- 7:29Speaker 8: and grow and large businesses to continue to offer jobs
- 7:32Speaker 8: to the largest amounts of people. And we're going to
- 7:35Speaker 8: grow our tax base rather than growing our tax rate.
- 7:38Speaker 8: And then finally, culture, it's changed the culture to a
- 7:41Speaker 8: customer service obsessed culture, one that recognizes that lansing works
- 7:46Speaker 8: for the locals, lancing works for the people, and specifically
- 7:50Speaker 8: access to contracts, access to capital, and also a concierge
- 7:54Speaker 8: approach to compliance, repealing the harmful red tape that we
- 7:59Speaker 8: have out there, and then some of the things that
- 8:01Speaker 8: we do have, let's help our small businesses in particular
- 8:05Speaker 8: navigate that and not have such a punitive approach. These
- 8:09Speaker 8: are the types of things that are going to create
- 8:11Speaker 8: more opportunities, is going to increase affordability, is going to
- 8:14Speaker 8: have economic growth, and it's going to make Michigan the
- 8:18Speaker 8: powerhouse that we deserve to be and that we once were.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Now you know, we had met. We've talked about Detroit
- 8:25Speaker 2: and other disenfranchised areas within the state, whether it's places
- 8:29Speaker 2: in the up or down here in the Detroit area,
- 8:33Speaker 2: and you know, it's pleasantly surprised when we talk because
- 8:38Speaker 2: you know, it's typically an eidol or a thing. And
- 8:41Speaker 2: I want you to talk about your exclusiveness all of Michigan.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I think that's important for people to understand that you're
- 8:48Speaker 2: not divisive in your thinking, and you're thinking of all Michiganders,
- 8:52Speaker 2: not just one segment.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 8: Man, look, I don't care if you're black, white, gay, straight, male, female,
- 8:57Speaker 8: or Democrat or Republican. I'm a combat veteran, uh and
- 9:02Speaker 8: I I fought for Americans and and to keep them safe.
- 9:08Speaker 8: Nobody cared when they call for for my help. They
- 9:12Speaker 8: didn't care that I was black. I didn't care about
- 9:16Speaker 8: their race, color creed either. We're all Americans, and so
- 9:19Speaker 8: I'm dedicated to serving all Americans, UH, submitting to the Lord,
- 9:23Speaker 8: and making sure that we have a state that works
- 9:26Speaker 8: for everybody, all ten million of us. When I was
- 9:28Speaker 8: in business, I created jobs for everybody UH with the
- 9:32Speaker 8: with the help of a great team UH and and
- 9:34Speaker 8: by the grace of God, I'm looking forward to helping
- 9:37Speaker 8: to create economic opportunity for everyone. And as a Congressman,
- 9:40Speaker 8: I've had to serve in Southeast Michigan, in a purple district, UH,
- 9:45Speaker 8: in a Macomb Oakland County district. I have areas of
- 9:48Speaker 8: people who didn't vote for me. I have areas of
- 9:50Speaker 8: people who did. But I was able to get resources
- 9:53Speaker 8: back for Warren and UH and and for East Point
- 9:57Speaker 8: and and for Mount Clemens the same way I was
- 10:00Speaker 8: able to get resources back for Rochester, Rochester Hills, Shelby
- 10:03Speaker 8: Township and everywhere in between. I got nearly three hundred
- 10:06Speaker 8: million dollars back for Selfidge and help the president and
- 10:10Speaker 8: get a fighter mission UH to self International Guard base.
- 10:15Speaker 8: Those are things that are going to benefit everybody. And
- 10:17Speaker 8: so when you have somebody who can say that they've
- 10:20Speaker 8: delivered regardless for everybody, that's what we're gonna need in
- 10:23Speaker 8: the next few years, delivering as governor.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Exactly liberty and.

- 14:32Speaker 4: eight hundred and six one oh three six, nine oh
- 14:35Speaker 4: eight hundred six one oh thirty six ninety.
- 14:44Speaker 6: It's the Ron Edwards American Experienced talk Show where our
- 14:48Speaker 6: unalienable rights are celebrated.
- 14:51Speaker 16: Not from.
- 14:54Speaker 2: You gotta mess with Ryan Kiptain, Ryan Johnson coming back
- 15:02Speaker 2: with congress Man John James after that commercial break. Times
- 15:06Speaker 2: when you stay with us, I am all right. Before
- 15:09Speaker 2: we had to go to commercial break, I was saying
- 15:11Speaker 2: that that was amazing what you did a self Wige.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I understand that you brought back to Lifeline for self
- 15:18Speaker 2: and uh.
- 15:22Speaker 8: Yeah, it was certainly a team effort. But the President
- 15:25Speaker 8: is a man of his word. He he came in
- 15:28Speaker 8: and uh we had a conversation goodness six years ago
- 15:32Speaker 8: and before he came in, he asked me what he
- 15:34Speaker 8: what he could do in the area, and we talked
- 15:36Speaker 8: about among many other things, UH fighters at Selfish and
- 15:39Speaker 8: saving Selfish National Guard base. So when he came into
- 15:42Speaker 8: a rally of Warrant after we spoke, he talked about
- 15:44Speaker 8: delivering very fast planes. Well, he came back and within
- 15:48Speaker 8: his UH it took a little while because of some
- 15:51Speaker 8: of some other stuff that happened, But in his first
- 15:57Speaker 8: one hundred days of this presidency, he made on his
- 16:00Speaker 8: promise and he said that we're going to be getting
- 16:03Speaker 8: F fifteen ex fighters in addition to the tanker mission
- 16:07Speaker 8: and the money that I've been able to get back
- 16:10Speaker 8: that nearly three hundred million dollars is the top in
- 16:15Speaker 8: the nation, and I think that's a down payment on
- 16:19Speaker 8: what we Michigan has contributed to this nation.
- 16:22Speaker 12: This is going to do.
- 16:23Speaker 8: More than just help Selfridge, but it's going to really
- 16:26Speaker 8: help the economy of Southeast Michigan and the entire state
- 16:30Speaker 8: as a whole. And that's just the start. I've gotten
- 16:33Speaker 8: money back for the sulaps that also helps Michigan's economy,
- 16:37Speaker 8: but also up up north. I've also helped get resources
- 16:42Speaker 8: back for people from the irs, getting passports done, twenty
- 16:46Speaker 8: million dollars for folks in the district and for a
- 16:49Speaker 8: state Michigan, where forty percent of our budget comes from
- 16:52Speaker 8: the federal government. Having a governor who has experienced bringing
- 16:56Speaker 8: resources back out of Washington that we've been paying into
- 17:00Speaker 8: it is something that that's very, very important. We need
- 17:03Speaker 8: to make sure that we continue to be first in
- 17:06Speaker 8: line rather than laugh to the troth because we have
- 17:09Speaker 8: infrastructure issues take care of, we have health and education
- 17:13Speaker 8: issues to take care of, and we need to make
- 17:15Speaker 8: sure that we're at the front of the line. And
- 17:16Speaker 8: that's something that I'm looking forward to continue working and.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Delivering wonderful wonderful If we revisit a real quick we
- 17:22Speaker 2: talked about taxes, and you know, I think people believe
- 17:26Speaker 2: in Michigan that we're over taxed. We have a fifty
- 17:28Speaker 2: two cent per gallon gas tax and some other things.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Do you plan only need tax reforms in Michigan.
- 17:35Speaker 8: Of course I hate taxes, but I recognize they're necessary. Evil.
- 17:42Speaker 8: But like I said, if we get back to the
- 17:44Speaker 8: role and size of government that's right size and appropriate. Again,
- 17:49Speaker 8: I believe the best government is fair, efficient and limited.
- 17:52Speaker 8: And so the first thing I'm going to be doing
- 17:54Speaker 8: in year one is we're going to be going after
- 17:57Speaker 8: We're going to be going after wasteful spending. We're in
- 18:00Speaker 8: your personal income tax to start, and this is how
- 18:02Speaker 8: we're going to do it. It's not going to be
- 18:04Speaker 8: political talking points or word gimmicks, but I'm going to
- 18:08Speaker 8: be going after the pork. So think of the acronym
- 18:10Speaker 8: pig pig so p this is the politician's pet projects
- 18:16Speaker 8: and lansing. We can cut that. That's one point five
- 18:18Speaker 8: billion dollars I Improper payments and fraud. That's point eight
- 18:23Speaker 8: five billion dollars G general funds that are unspent, that
- 18:27Speaker 8: is PIG. Those come up two point sixty five billion
- 18:30Speaker 8: dollars for a total of up to three billion dollars
- 18:34Speaker 8: that we can cut in year one. That would take
- 18:36Speaker 8: your personal income tax rate down to the threes. That
- 18:39Speaker 8: makes us more competitive with other states like Indiana and Ohio,
- 18:43Speaker 8: and that makes it that you put more money back
- 18:45Speaker 8: in your pocket. And now that's just a start. That's
- 18:48Speaker 8: just the start. Because Gretchen Whitmer is spending twenty billion
- 18:51Speaker 8: dollars more per year than she's spent during the height
- 18:54Speaker 8: of COVID, and she also has fifty percent more in
- 18:58Speaker 8: her budget than she from rich Schnyder. Do you feel
- 19:01Speaker 8: like your roads are fifty percent better. How about your schools?
- 19:04Speaker 8: How about your healthcare? No one in the state of
- 19:07Speaker 8: Michigans can say that anything is fifty percent better, But
- 19:09Speaker 8: that's what they're wasting. And so after that first year
- 19:12Speaker 8: of returning that we'll be able to put more money
- 19:15Speaker 8: back into your pocket without touching vital services like Medicaid,
- 19:20Speaker 8: touching vital services like our infrastructure improvement, because we do
- 19:24Speaker 8: have an infrastructure that's failing all around us. Our roads
- 19:26Speaker 8: are still crumbling, our water and sewer services are crumbling
- 19:30Speaker 8: under our feet, and our grid is among the worst
- 19:32Speaker 8: in the nation. We can do the initial cuts without
- 19:36Speaker 8: touching those vital services, and then when we get to
- 19:40Speaker 8: see what we're dealing with, we'll be able to return
- 19:43Speaker 8: more money to the people, be able to invest and
- 19:46Speaker 8: focus on what the role of state government should be,
- 19:49Speaker 8: and then making sure that we're protecting our rights, returning
- 19:52Speaker 8: money to the people, and still delivering those services. But
- 19:55Speaker 8: that is the first step. I believe again in what
- 19:59Speaker 8: we've talked about in Isi Ryan, we're getting the better environment, philosophy,
- 20:03Speaker 8: and culture. We'll be able to attract more business here
- 20:06Speaker 8: so that we can lower our tax rate specifically talking
- 20:10Speaker 8: about property taxes, because our seniors are being pinched, and
- 20:14Speaker 8: also our young people are leaving the state. When you
- 20:17Speaker 8: don't address property taxes, you hurt both our young people
- 20:21Speaker 8: and our seniors, and that cannot continue. So if a
- 20:25Speaker 8: guy like Nick Shirley, a nineteen year old journalist, can
- 20:29Speaker 8: find nine billion dollars worth in fraud in the state
- 20:32Speaker 8: of Minnesota, a state that has sixty percent of our
- 20:36Speaker 8: budget and fifty percent of our population, trust me, Regretchen Whimer,
- 20:39Speaker 8: who's spending exorbitant money above what she should, We're going
- 20:44Speaker 8: to be able to find enough money to make sure
- 20:46Speaker 8: that we return to the rightful owners, which is the people.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Now, I know you got to go parts, So let's
- 20:53Speaker 2: can you take one more or two more questions from me? Yeah? Sure,
- 20:57Speaker 2: we've talked about the young people. How do you envision
- 21:02Speaker 2: getting young people, our talents to stay in Michigan and
- 21:05Speaker 2: bringing more to us from outside of Michigan when it
- 21:08Speaker 2: comes to our young people, Yeah, I think that our
- 21:13Speaker 2: young people.
- 21:14Speaker 8: I mean we have to remember, I mean, once upon
- 21:16Speaker 8: a time, we were young, right, what did we want?
- 21:18Speaker 6: We wanted?
- 21:20Speaker 8: We wanted the opportunity to have good schools. We wanted
- 21:26Speaker 8: public safety, we wanted economic opportunity, we wanted just basic things.
- 21:33Speaker 8: All we have to do is look at what's going
- 21:35Speaker 8: on in the states that young people are leaving for.
- 21:39Speaker 8: These are red states with low taxes, lower regulations, and frankly,
- 21:45Speaker 8: eight of the top ten states that are growing are
- 21:48Speaker 8: run by Republican governors, and the states that are shrinking
- 21:51Speaker 8: are run by Democrat governors. Young people are just looking
- 21:55Speaker 8: for a hope, they're looking for a lifeline, they're looking
- 21:57Speaker 8: for a start. And I mean now we have young
- 22:00Speaker 8: people who are moving to California because there's more opportunity.
- 22:03Speaker 8: California is eleven spots.
- 22:06Speaker 13: Better than us.
- 22:07Speaker 8: According to US News and World Report, Michigan is forty
- 22:10Speaker 8: second in infrastructure, forty third in the economy, forty fifth
- 22:14Speaker 8: in schools, forty sixth overall. And we're talking about trying
- 22:18Speaker 8: to attract people. Come on, now, we have to make
- 22:21Speaker 8: sure that Michigan is a place where everybody cannot just
- 22:24Speaker 8: survive but thrive. And I think that when you put
- 22:27Speaker 8: the reforms in place that will lower costs and pre supportability,
- 22:32Speaker 8: public safety, and have excellent schools, I think our young
- 22:35Speaker 8: people are going to continue to move back here because
- 22:37Speaker 8: this is going to be the place once again where
- 22:39Speaker 8: they cannot pursue the American dream.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Say man, And one of my last questions to you,
- 22:44Speaker 2: we've talked about businesses coming back, what is your plan
- 22:49Speaker 2: for the mom and pops? You know, community strive off
- 22:53Speaker 2: for mom and pop businesses, small family businesses, which is
- 22:57Speaker 2: kind of a dying gree nowadays. But we know that
- 23:01Speaker 2: communities don't really thrive if you don't have that.
- 23:03Speaker 8: Yeah, So the first thing is is somebody who has
- 23:07Speaker 8: benefited from entrepreneurship and education, somebody who was able to
- 23:12Speaker 8: help grow a business in Detroit working with his family. Again, specifically,
- 23:18Speaker 8: we need to change the culture and lansing customer service
- 23:22Speaker 8: obsessed culture, and I think that particularly with small businesses,
- 23:27Speaker 8: lowering regulations that are harmful. These are the types of
- 23:31Speaker 8: things that small businesses really struggle with because they don't
- 23:35Speaker 8: necessarily have the bench of lawyers to help with these
- 23:40Speaker 8: with lawsuits and regulations and so really having a concierge
- 23:45Speaker 8: approach to compliance. We need to have increased access to capital,
- 23:50Speaker 8: and we also need access to contracts. These are things
- 23:54Speaker 8: that other states are doing so that our small and
- 23:57Speaker 8: medium businesses can compete and frankly, nowhere the opportunity.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Okay, well we are going off, or wait and we'll
- 24:09Speaker 2: be right back.
- 24:19Speaker 17: How would you like to help this program reach more
- 24:21Speaker 17: people and earn silver at the same time.

- 25:31Speaker 13: If only black Americans had followed the advice of Booker T. Washington. Hello,
- 25:36Speaker 13: I'm Ron Edwards on today's pace from Mewar's Notebook, brought
- 25:40Speaker 13: to you by Root Brands, premium products for your Body

- 25:44Speaker 2: Booker T.
- 25:45Speaker 13: Washington was born into slavery in eighteen fifty six, but
- 25:48Speaker 13: chose to work to become one of the most influential
- 25:51Speaker 13: American leaders of the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Washington
- 25:55Speaker 13: founded the Tuskegee Institute in eighteen eighty one, which he
- 25:58Speaker 13: helped build into a prestigious school for black students in Alabama.
- 26:02Speaker 13: Washington believed in vocational education as a path to economic
- 26:05Speaker 13: empowerment and self reliance for black Americans. He advised US
- 26:09Speaker 13: Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft regarding racial matters,
- 26:14Speaker 13: making him one of the first black advisors to a
- 26:16Speaker 13: US president since Frederick Douglas. Mister Washington part of the
- 26:20Speaker 13: Neuro Business League to support Black owned businesses.
- 26:23Speaker 8: Booker T.
- 26:24Speaker 13: Washington encouraged black Americans to produce for themselves draw their
- 26:28Speaker 13: own businesses rather than hope and wish for the day
- 26:30Speaker 13: white business owners would welcome doing business with Black Americans
- 26:34Speaker 13: are welcoming in them and as customers. Booker T. Washington
- 26:38Speaker 13: believed in uplifting through hard work and thrift. He died
- 26:42Speaker 13: in nineteen fifteen, but his legacy of education, self reliance
- 26:46Speaker 13: in institution building lives on. I'm Ron Edwards, The Ron

- 27:30Speaker 1: Ron Edwards the new voice of America.
- 27:38Speaker 2: And the Blacks Break. This is Ryan Zosiphillan for Ron Edwards,
- 27:41Speaker 2: and we just got all the Congressman John James. I
- 27:46Speaker 2: think that he has a very good vision for Michigan
- 27:50Speaker 2: and for business, education and for families. We're in a
- 27:54Speaker 2: time right now where our children in the inner cities,
- 27:57Speaker 2: whether it's in Detroit, Hontiac or up they can't read
- 28:02Speaker 2: it right. On the third grade level. We have families
- 28:05Speaker 2: that are falling apart with no assistance, no help, and
- 28:10Speaker 2: so we want to help get things together in the
- 28:14Speaker 2: state of Michigan. And I'm so happy that the Congressman's
- 28:17Speaker 2: had time to come on. If we have any callers
- 28:22Speaker 2: out there, you can call in to the phone and
- 28:26Speaker 2: let's talk about what's going on in Michigan or other states.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Right now, the fall in number is going to be
- 28:34Speaker 2: two zero three, two one six six one zero zero,
- 28:38Speaker 2: And so let's look at some things going around the
- 28:41Speaker 2: country right now. Around the world, Let's talk about things
- 28:45Speaker 2: that's going on in the Middle East with Iran. I
- 28:48Speaker 2: think the President's stand on Iran has been very great.
- 28:52Speaker 2: He's given them grace to get theirself together. But I
- 28:55Speaker 2: think ultimately the President's plan for Iran is actually genius.
- 29:01Speaker 2: We're actually taking control of the oil production. We're making
- 29:06Speaker 2: people come back to America for oil. We should have
- 29:10Speaker 2: been in the first place with Iran, China and Russia
- 29:14Speaker 2: devaluing the American dollar, and I think the President's plan
- 29:20Speaker 2: with this is is wonderful. We're going through some things,
- 29:27Speaker 2: but you know, it's temporary. And our next caller that
- 29:32Speaker 2: we have and our next caller, we're gonna have doctor
- 29:35Speaker 2: Linda Barbara. She's an educational person. She's written two books
- 29:41Speaker 2: for the President, and we're getting her on the line
- 29:45Speaker 2: now so that she can talk to us about her
- 29:48Speaker 2: books and why she wrote them and why she felt
- 29:51Speaker 2: it important to do it. And I want to really
- 29:55Speaker 2: thank round for giving me the opportunity to come on,
- 29:58Speaker 2: and we're trying to get our next call, so forgive me.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I wanted to do a show where we had people
- 30:04Speaker 2: come on that can enlighten us on some things that
- 30:06Speaker 2: they're doing around the country and that they're doing for
- 30:09Speaker 2: the country. And so which is holding on right now
- 30:13Speaker 2: as we get in touch with doctor Linda Tarboro? Okay,
- 30:16Speaker 2: doctor Tarboro, how are you? I'm great?
- 30:19Speaker 13: How are you?
- 30:20Speaker 2: I am doing well? Thank you for coming on. I
- 30:22Speaker 2: was going on a wing and a friend who we
- 30:24Speaker 2: got you. Thank you, thank you. I wanted to bring
- 30:30Speaker 2: you on, doctor Tarboro. You know, we've had many conversations
- 30:34Speaker 2: over the year, and I really admire your commitment to
- 30:37Speaker 2: this country, to the state, and also to the children.
- 30:41Speaker 2: But what I wanted to bring you on today you
- 30:42Speaker 2: wrote two books today, so tell us the title of
- 30:45Speaker 2: your books.
- 30:46Speaker 1: So I was delighted to be an author in twenty
- 30:50Speaker 1: eighteen and two books there was. My first book was
- 30:55Speaker 1: Died in the World, the political Christian book, and a
- 31:00Speaker 1: children's book that I wrote in twenty eighteen, Jesus who
- 31:05Speaker 1: was Christmas is Born. So I was delighted for that,
- 31:08Speaker 1: and then the Lord pressed upon my heart to really
- 31:12Speaker 1: write two books again. They were introduced this year in April,
- 31:21Speaker 1: and so I am delighted to have them. One is
- 31:25Speaker 1: called Shall I Pursue? And the other is All the
- 31:31Speaker 1: President's Men? And so they both came out in April
- 31:35Speaker 1: of this year, and they are Christian.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Books.
- 31:42Speaker 1: I consider, of all my accomplishments, being a Sunday school
- 31:45Speaker 1: teacher as one of those. And it's a passion to
- 31:48Speaker 1: teach a young people, so children and adults the Word
- 31:52Speaker 1: of God rightly dividing the Word of God. But the Lord,
- 31:55Speaker 1: I've been in politics for thirty two years and I
- 31:58Speaker 1: really wanted to illuminate what the Lord was doing in
- 32:04Speaker 1: our election of twenty twenty four, that was a very
- 32:09Speaker 1: deviceive election. And the Lord told me to publish it
- 32:14Speaker 1: in twenty twenty four, and I held off, and I
- 32:17Speaker 1: should know, but I did, and I published it this year,
- 32:22Speaker 1: So shall I pursue? That is out of for Samuel
- 32:26Speaker 1: thirty and that was the Battle of ver zick Lag.
- 32:31Speaker 1: And then shortly after that, All the President's Men was inspired,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and I said, Lord, I'm just going to publish them
- 32:40Speaker 1: at the same time. It deals with loyalty, and that
- 32:45Speaker 1: is out of Second Samuel twenty three. So those are
- 32:48Speaker 1: the two books, and I'd be happy to talk about
- 32:52Speaker 1: them and answer any questions that you might have.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Let's start, So let's talk about the books. Let's start
- 32:59Speaker 2: with or Show Show I pursue. I read it and
- 33:04Speaker 2: I was very impressed by it. And one of the
- 33:06Speaker 2: things that I was impressed by is that you came
- 33:09Speaker 2: from a biblical perspective, which is, you know that's not
- 33:13Speaker 2: often done, and you made it, you tied it in
- 33:16Speaker 2: so well together. So let's talk about that. In the
- 33:20Speaker 2: first book, shall I pursue? What was your inspiration? I
- 33:25Speaker 2: know that you're very close to the President, and I
- 33:28Speaker 2: know you pray for him all the time. We have
- 33:31Speaker 2: many conversations, and you you know you you you compared
- 33:36Speaker 2: him to to David in your first chapter, So let's
- 33:40Speaker 2: talk about that.
- 33:42Speaker 1: And so what I didn't want people to take away
- 33:45Speaker 1: is that you know, President Trump is not King David,
- 33:49Speaker 1: but he went through an experience similar to David, and
- 33:56Speaker 1: I am vocal said basically about David's experiences and how
- 34:00Speaker 1: they lasted. I was David in some of these looking
- 34:06Speaker 1: at parts of my life, and you will find shall
- 34:09Speaker 1: I pursue as even parts of your life at some
- 34:12Speaker 1: of the zick Lag moments of our lives. But first,
- 34:17Speaker 1: Samuel thirty deals with zick Lag and what happened in
- 34:21Speaker 1: zick Lag is David was leaving Saul. He was running
- 34:25Speaker 1: from Saul. Saul was trying to kill him. David was
- 34:28Speaker 1: anointed by Samuel the prophet to be the king, the
- 34:31Speaker 1: next king. The spirit of God left Saul. David was
- 34:35Speaker 1: filled with the Holy Spirit to be anointed before he
- 34:39Speaker 1: took office, but he was fighting with another king, and
- 34:46Speaker 1: that king was so impressed with David because he was
- 34:48Speaker 1: a warrior, that he gave him a land called zick
- 34:52Speaker 1: Lag and said that you can live here. And so
- 34:55Speaker 1: David and his six hundred men were fighting with this
- 34:58Speaker 1: other king. They said, you know, we're going to attack
- 35:03Speaker 1: the Jews, and so they sent them away. David and
- 35:07Speaker 1: his six hundred men not to fight alongside with them.
- 35:13Speaker 1: They sent them back home. Well, when they got back home,
- 35:17Speaker 1: it was burnt in ashes, it was destroyed. All of
- 35:22Speaker 1: the people were gone. And the men and David did
- 35:27Speaker 1: not know if the if their families were killed, kidnapped, raped, murdered.
- 35:32Speaker 1: They didn't know. They had come back to Zicklag and
- 35:38Speaker 1: found it destroyed. All their wealth was taken, all of
- 35:42Speaker 1: their property was taken, all of their families were taken.
- 35:48Speaker 1: And you know, a lot of people quote a scripture
- 35:51Speaker 1: that David encouraged himself from the Lord. That was First
- 35:54Speaker 1: Samuel thirty, that was Zicklag. And imagine coming home. Your
- 35:58Speaker 1: home was burnt down, your wife and family are gone,
- 36:01Speaker 1: and your dog and cats are gone, your jewelry, all
- 36:05Speaker 1: of your furnishings are gone, and your home is in ashes.
- 36:11Speaker 1: And the people who left with you are thinking, you know,
- 36:16Speaker 1: we're going to kill you. So his men wanted to
- 36:18Speaker 1: kill him, And so the Word of God said that
- 36:21Speaker 1: David had to encourage himself in the Lord. And then
- 36:24Speaker 1: once he got that encouragement, he asked for the ephod
- 36:30Speaker 1: which is an opportunity of covering to pray to God
- 36:34Speaker 1: and to inquire of the Lord. And the first question,
- 36:37Speaker 1: he asked, the Lord, seeing everything in this belief of
- 36:44Speaker 1: his old Ziglag community is gone, he said, shall I pursue?
- 36:54Speaker 1: And that was the question that I believe President Trump asked,
- 37:00Speaker 1: having run twice, you know in twenty sixteen and twenty twenty,
- 37:07Speaker 1: after the twenty twenty election, that you had this situation
- 37:13Speaker 1: where there was a lot of terrible things going on.
- 37:17Speaker 13: Well run edwards American experience a chargement of the emerging

- 39:04Speaker 3: Is your portfolio up over one thousand percent since the
- 39:07Speaker 3: year two thousand? Let me ask you that again, because
- 39:10Speaker 3: it sounds a little shocking. Is your investment portfolio up
- 39:14Speaker 3: one thousand percent in the last twenty five years? If
- 39:17Speaker 3: you would have bought ten thousand dollars in physical gold
- 39:20Speaker 3: in the year two thousand and left it in your

- 40:01Speaker 13: Hello, I'm Ron Edwards. I want to thank my guest

- 40:30Speaker 13: Listening to the Ron Edwards American Experience.
- 40:34Speaker 8: Man, it doesn't get any better than that.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Oh we're back off commercial break and we're back with
- 40:43Speaker 2: doctor Linda Tarbor, Doctor Tom. Let's continue talking about sre
- 40:47Speaker 2: we pursue and we had to cut you off on
- 40:51Speaker 2: a point, so let's pick back up when we left off.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Yeah, So, just in summary, shall I Pursue is about
- 40:57Speaker 1: a pursuit for reserration and of what was lost? And
- 41:01Speaker 1: I compared in the book America four years under the
- 41:07Speaker 1: Biden administration, where we had seventy seven genders to where
- 41:12Speaker 1: we are now the pursuit was worth it. We did
- 41:17Speaker 1: not recognize America and we don't want to get back
- 41:19Speaker 1: there again. So that's still I pursue. It's an awesome book.
- 41:24Speaker 1: The next one is All the President's Men. One of
- 41:27Speaker 1: the things that was and I appreciate about President Trump
- 41:32Speaker 1: is that he demands loyalty. Well, the Lord does as well,
- 41:37Speaker 1: so that there's many scriptures where the Lord looks to
- 41:41Speaker 1: and fro for a heart loyalty him. Loyalty is an
- 41:44Speaker 1: attribute of God. And in Second Samuel twenty three, the
- 41:48Speaker 1: last words of David, it was not about his victory
- 41:51Speaker 1: over Goliath, it was it was about his loyal men.
- 41:54Speaker 1: And so I highlight that at the end of his life,
- 41:57Speaker 1: David's life, he is reminiscent of the men who are
- 42:01Speaker 1: loyal to him, willing to fight with him. And so
- 42:04Speaker 1: that is about loyalty and that we should never be
- 42:07Speaker 1: ashamed of loyalty or expecting loyalty. And you can check
- 42:11Speaker 1: these out at my website at doctor Linda Lee Tarbor
- 42:15Speaker 1: dot com, doctor Linda Lee Tarbor dot com, or just
- 42:19Speaker 1: Lenda Lee Tarbor dot com and you'll be able to
- 42:22Speaker 1: see the website, but at the bottom of those, you'll
- 42:26Speaker 1: be able to see some of the book reviews that
- 42:28Speaker 1: are very important, people who've weighed in, who've read the books,
- 42:33Speaker 1: and they will bless you. They're written for patriots, they're
- 42:37Speaker 1: written for Christians. They're not written for the naysayers or
- 42:41Speaker 1: the unsaved. But what's important is that you know we
- 42:45Speaker 1: should be consistent in voting our faith and understanding the
- 42:49Speaker 1: times that we live in, and that the Lord allows
- 42:54Speaker 1: us to see trends and to see things going on.
- 42:58Speaker 1: And I said about shall I pursued? I've gone through
- 43:01Speaker 1: where difficult times in my life that I felt like
- 43:06Speaker 1: everything was falling apart, and I was at zick lack
- 43:10Speaker 1: and the Lord, I pray to the Lord, shall I pursue?
- 43:13Speaker 1: Shall I give up on everything? Or shall I pursue?
- 43:16Speaker 1: And he and he said pursue. And so that's why
- 43:21Speaker 1: I wanted to say, all of us are David at
- 43:23Speaker 1: one point in our lives. And then even with the
- 43:27Speaker 1: all the president's men, you know the people who stood
- 43:30Speaker 1: with you, who are standing by you through thick and
- 43:33Speaker 1: thin your ride or dies, those are the loyal people
- 43:37Speaker 1: that David reminisced about in Second Samuel twenty three at
- 43:42Speaker 1: his dying words, he reminisced about them. And so that's
- 43:46Speaker 1: that's what those books are about. They're they're considered political,
- 43:51Speaker 1: but they are definitely biblical, rightly dividing the Word of
- 43:54Speaker 1: God and in my opinion, things that are important for
- 43:57Speaker 1: us to know today.
- 44:01Speaker 2: And I agree with you wholeheartedly. You know, nowadays you
- 44:04Speaker 2: have people that say their believers they vote their conscious
- 44:07Speaker 2: instead of God, and I think that's a big problem.
- 44:10Speaker 2: And I know, mean you have discussed that, and so
- 44:12Speaker 2: let's talk about you know, your your personal beliefs over God.
- 44:16Speaker 2: But as Christians, we should always stand with God. Yeah,
- 44:20Speaker 2: and how does that tie into everything politically? You know,
- 44:24Speaker 2: I'm a person I vote based upon God's principles, not
- 44:28Speaker 2: my own, and a lot of people today vote against
- 44:31Speaker 2: God's principles for their own agenda. And so how do
- 44:35Speaker 2: you tell you?
- 44:36Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, in Israel, they present and they're going
- 44:41Speaker 1: to have an October and Israel election, they put up
- 44:44Speaker 1: a party platform. You don't vote for individuals. You vote
- 44:49Speaker 1: for a party platform like the Luket party is the
- 44:53Speaker 1: Benjamin at Yaho's party, and there's some other progressive and
- 44:57Speaker 1: conservative and you know, ultra orthodoxg but you vote for
- 45:02Speaker 1: a party platform in the United States, you've put up
- 45:07Speaker 1: these shiny objects of people and maybe more articulate people,
- 45:11Speaker 1: but their platform is of the devil, and you need
- 45:14Speaker 1: to know that and stop embracing what your mother, fathers,
- 45:18Speaker 1: just a cousin friends have voted for in a political
- 45:22Speaker 1: party and look at the platform to see if it
- 45:26Speaker 1: aligned with the Lord. And if it does not, then
- 45:30Speaker 1: you have to ask yourself, are you laying down your
- 45:33Speaker 1: cross in order to vote for a political party in
- 45:38Speaker 1: a machine that does not honor God, that is against
- 45:41Speaker 1: God and against his righteousness. You know, you don't have
- 45:46Speaker 1: to look very far to know that. In Congress, the
- 45:50Speaker 1: Republicans voted overwhelmingly to stop a general mutilation of children
- 45:58Speaker 1: we should not as Christians, and the even debating whether
- 46:03Speaker 1: children should have their body parts cut or some transgender
- 46:08Speaker 1: affirming care. But this is a political party that has
- 46:13Speaker 1: allowed it. The Democrats have allowed it. If you even
- 46:17Speaker 1: just go through and look at removing boys out of
- 46:21Speaker 1: girls sports. You know, back in the day, we didn't
- 46:24Speaker 1: have a question on what a girl and what a
- 46:26Speaker 1: boy was, and so this should not be. And so
- 46:31Speaker 1: there's a lot of brothers and sisters in Christ out
- 46:34Speaker 1: there who will who will put up an alter and
- 46:38Speaker 1: it is an idol if you put their political party
- 46:42Speaker 1: above the word of God and vote against God. Shame
- 46:46Speaker 1: on you, and I ask the Lord to have mercy
- 46:49Speaker 1: on you. But you need to repent. You have an
- 46:51Speaker 1: opportunity to repent in November of twenty twenty six, because
- 46:56Speaker 1: you should not ever put a political entity that is
- 47:00Speaker 1: operating out of the will of God with abortion, killing
- 47:05Speaker 1: and shedding of innocent blood over over what God has said.
- 47:11Speaker 1: And so you have to decide what you're going to choose.
- 47:17Speaker 1: But when you cast your luck for a person or individual,
- 47:22Speaker 1: political entity and party, you must give an account to
- 47:25Speaker 1: God for that. And that I'm just telling you you
- 47:29Speaker 1: might as well be holding the cloaks like Saul while
- 47:32Speaker 1: the Christians are being crucified. You are holding the cloaks
- 47:37Speaker 1: like Saul did. Even though you said I'm not participating
- 47:42Speaker 1: in the in the beatings and the whipping and the
- 47:44Speaker 1: killings of Stephen, you are still holding the cloaks. And
- 47:48Speaker 1: so vote according to the word of God.
- 47:52Speaker 2: That that is my.
- 47:56Speaker 1: My desire for all believers, all those who claim Jesus
- 48:01Speaker 1: as Lord and Savior, that they will do that.
- 48:08Speaker 2: And you know, we talked about looking at the party's platform,
- 48:11Speaker 2: and I think a lot of people fail to do that,
- 48:14Speaker 2: and most Democrats don't know, and especially Christians at the
- 48:17Speaker 2: Democratic Party took God out of their platform in the
- 48:19Speaker 2: lates two thousands, early two thousands, right, and that's an
- 48:24Speaker 2: indication of where their hearty is any party that takes
- 48:29Speaker 2: God out. And I remember doing the elections. During Kamala
- 48:34Speaker 2: Harris's one of her rallies, somebody yelled out Jesus as
- 48:38Speaker 2: the Lord. She told them to their face, you're at
- 48:40Speaker 2: the wrong rally. But Christians were an outrage about that.
- 48:46Speaker 2: They still supported an ungudly person and an unguardly party party,
- 48:51Speaker 2: which is uncomprehensible. And I think, you know, if we
- 48:54Speaker 2: don't turn back to God, that you know, our country
- 48:56Speaker 2: is going to be in dire straits. The Bible talks
- 48:59Speaker 2: about it, and I see it's starting already.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Yes, I will tell you. I was so greatly relieved
- 49:08Speaker 1: that the Church of God in Christ came out as
- 49:11Speaker 1: pro life. I was so estatic behind that they put
- 49:17Speaker 1: out a press release that we are pro life, we
- 49:19Speaker 1: stand with life. Jesse Jackson rest Is Soul was pro
- 49:23Speaker 1: life and so I was excited, but the leader of
- 49:26Speaker 1: the Church of God in Christ endorsed Pamala Harris, and
- 49:30Speaker 1: I'm like, God is not double minded, nor is he schizophrenic,
- 49:34Speaker 1: nor is he contradicting himself. You don't endorse those who
- 49:39Speaker 1: are who who do not cherish and value life.
- 49:43Speaker 2: You just don't.
- 49:45Speaker 1: And so that I'm telling you is is what we
- 49:49Speaker 1: see as hypocrisy. But people can repent and get right.
- 49:53Speaker 1: We have an opportunity to get right this time. But
- 49:58Speaker 1: you cannot come out as an organiization and say I'm
- 50:01Speaker 1: pro life and then endure someone who's so death. You
- 50:05Speaker 1: just can't. You just can't. In the name of Jesus.
- 50:08Speaker 1: You're just shouldn't and you can't because God is watching
- 50:12Speaker 1: all that we do, and it's hypocrisy at the highest level.
- 50:23Speaker 2: And you're You're absolutely right. And so I'm so happy
- 50:26Speaker 2: that you were able to come on the show today,
- 50:29Speaker 2: and I would uh ed everybody to buy your books
- 50:34Speaker 2: there there. They're very good bread and so I wanted
- 50:40Speaker 2: to bring you on because I want you what to
- 50:42Speaker 2: read and understand what's going on.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Thank you, God, bless you, and thank.
- 50:48Speaker 2: You doctor Tarborough. Thank you, and I thank you you
- 50:51Speaker 2: have a blessed and wonderful then thank you for taking
- 50:53Speaker 2: time out of your schedule to talk with me today.
- 50:57Speaker 1: God bless you. Yeah, bless you, aren't you?
- 51:02Speaker 2: And we are coming towards the end, and I just
- 51:05Speaker 2: want to thank my friend Ronan Evers for allowing me
- 51:08Speaker 2: to come on. I hope the show was informative today
- 51:11Speaker 2: and a blessing to everyone. And again, thank you Ron
- 51:15Speaker 2: for allowing me to fill in for you pass some
- 51:17Speaker 2: bictions to fill in and I hope that we did
- 51:20Speaker 2: it justice today.
- 51:25Speaker 16: That's all folks tags that stage right.
- 51:29Speaker 20: This was an occasion when three gentlemen arrived at the
- 51:32Speaker 20: Gates of Heaven and Saint Peter told him that there
- 51:35Speaker 20: were certain limitations on who could get in due to crowding,
- 51:39Speaker 20: and so he said they had decided that whichever one
- 51:41Speaker 20: of the three the practice the oldest profession or avocation
- 51:47Speaker 20: would be admitted. And one stepped forward and said, well,
- 51:50Speaker 20: I think that's me. He said, I am a surgeon.
- 51:54Speaker 20: He said, we know that the Lord made Adam and
- 51:57Speaker 20: then he created Eve from a rib of Atam that
- 52:00Speaker 20: required surgery, and so I guess that's the oldest. But
- 52:02Speaker 20: before he could move on in the second I said,
- 52:05Speaker 20: wait a minute, I'm an engineer, and he said, before
- 52:09Speaker 20: the Lord made Adam, all was chaos. And he spent
- 52:13Speaker 20: six days and on the seventh day rested after eliminating
- 52:17Speaker 20: the chaos. So I think engineering. I go in, and
- 52:22Speaker 20: before he could advance, the third one said, I'm an economist.
- 52:27Speaker 20: Where do you think they got all that chaos?
- 52:31Speaker 4: Good morning, guys.
