- 0:00Speaker 1: That we got right there on both sides of that
- 0:02Speaker 1: Luca ad deal. And you throw the Jimmy Butler situation
- 0:05Speaker 1: in there. So Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Anderson on their way
- 0:12Speaker 1: to Miami. Dennis Shrewder wound up in Detroit after being
- 0:15Speaker 1: traded to Utah as part of this. But he's a
- 0:18Speaker 1: Jimmy Butler now a Golden State Warrior.
- 0:22Speaker 2: So look, I got traded twice already.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Is yeah, that's crazy.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Fourth team, Yeah, fourth team, that's crazy. That shruder It
- 0:28Speaker 1: started with Brooklyn went to Golden State, traded to Utah briefly,
- 0:31Speaker 1: and now and now on to Detroit. Where do you
- 0:34Speaker 1: want to unpack first? You want to do this chronologically
- 0:37Speaker 1: and look at the Ad Luca thing that that stunned
- 0:40Speaker 1: everybody over the weekend.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll go with the Dallas La La trade. Of course,
- 0:45Speaker 3: it definitely shocked everybody. Dallas made the trade for the
- 0:49Speaker 3: next two to three year window. You know, I like
- 0:52Speaker 3: Ad on this team. You know a lot of good
- 0:54Speaker 3: players around them. They have a possibility of at least
- 0:57Speaker 3: going to the Western Contint westn Commas Finals. Ang with
- 1:00Speaker 3: andir own thing. My only concern is this is no
- 1:03Speaker 3: disrespect to court Kyrie. But Kyrie flourishes when he's off
- 1:07Speaker 3: the ball. Now you make him the main guy, he
- 1:09Speaker 3: has to make all decisions, he has to handle the
- 1:11Speaker 3: ball more.
- 1:12Speaker 1: You know, history tells.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Us that when he's the number two guy, him off
- 1:15Speaker 3: the ball, he definitely flourishes more. Now on the Lakers side,
- 1:19Speaker 3: you know, this is more about the future. Lebron is
- 1:21Speaker 3: forty years old. At some point he will not be
- 1:24Speaker 3: there anymore. And the Lakers have always had a mega
- 1:26Speaker 3: star on their roster. So you know, I think they're really,
- 1:29Speaker 3: you know, focusing on this guy. We don't know how
- 1:33Speaker 3: they're doing this year.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I said, well, what do you what do you feel?
- 1:36Speaker 1: What do you feel his impact will be playing with
- 1:39Speaker 1: Lebron and now and you get Mark Williams if he
- 1:42Speaker 1: stays healthy, playing in the middle. So what's the ceiling
- 1:45Speaker 1: for the Lakers in the West.
- 1:46Speaker 3: The Lakers are playing well, and you know they're by
- 1:49Speaker 3: playing some really good ball. But it's not about what
- 1:52Speaker 3: Luca and Lebron gonna do. The others will have to
- 1:55Speaker 3: be dominant. And I'm talking about dominant all the time.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And you know how much you know on the others,
- 2:00Speaker 3: Reeves is gonna have to play well. Hachi More is
- 2:03Speaker 3: going to have to play well, and you know, if
- 2:05Speaker 3: they can play well and you know, shoot the ball well,
- 2:07Speaker 3: they definitely have a shot. I was surprised that the
- 2:10Speaker 3: Lakers are in fifth right now. But you get an
- 2:12Speaker 3: explosive guy like Luca and Lebron, you know, playing at
- 2:15Speaker 3: the higher rate offensively like they played, the others are
- 2:18Speaker 3: definitely gonna have to step up. Vince is gonna have
- 2:19Speaker 3: to play well too, And I think if the others
- 2:22Speaker 3: can play well consistency like you know Kenning and played
- 2:25Speaker 3: for the Rockets, like my Rick Fox and b Show
- 2:28Speaker 3: did when I was winning our championships, they have a shot.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Had to part with the Dalton connect in the the
- 2:35Speaker 1: course of the course of that deal.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Did you did you have for this question?
- 2:38Speaker 4: Man?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:39Speaker 1: I answer the question. What did you say you if
- 2:41Speaker 1: you said they're playing well right now? I said, what's
- 2:42Speaker 1: the what's the ceiling? Yeah?
- 2:44Speaker 4: I said, what's I don't think first of all, the
- 2:48Speaker 4: may have how you're not a continent with Luca Dante,
- 2:50Speaker 4: Tim Dull like one of two because they're not a contender.
- 2:53Speaker 4: The last year Luca wentr gotta let you well. I
- 2:57Speaker 4: think Shaq does have a point. This is about the
- 3:00Speaker 4: MAVs right now. I love Max Christie too. I think
- 3:02Speaker 4: people sleeping on the Max Christie part. The MAVs gonna
- 3:05Speaker 4: have a chance to win a championship this year. The
- 3:09Speaker 4: Lakers don't have a chance to win a championship this year.
- 3:11Speaker 4: The MAVs do. I still okay, see it's the team
- 3:15Speaker 4: to beat. I don't think the Lakers are better than
- 3:19Speaker 4: the MAVs. I'm not sure they're better than Memphis. I'm
- 3:24Speaker 4: not sure they're better than the Rockets. But this trade,
- 3:28Speaker 4: in my opinion, we're all just conjectured.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So even after adding Luca, you don't think they're better
- 3:32Speaker 1: than those teams.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I do not.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I still think they're five right now. You're gonna they're
- 3:35Speaker 1: gonna stay five, or they're gonna.
- 3:37Speaker 4: They're gonna stay five, right because number one, they're not
- 3:40Speaker 4: gonna be good defensively, and it's gonna be a really
- 3:45Speaker 4: hard adjustment for Luca Dunek in my opinion, you know,
- 3:49Speaker 4: because I've said I think they're gonna have a hard
- 3:51Speaker 4: time playing together because both of them are really ball dominant.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Lebron can kind of get away with that. Lucas never played,
- 4:01Speaker 4: never played with doctor ball. He's going to have the
- 4:03Speaker 4: ball probably less he's ever had in his life. Like
- 4:06Speaker 4: I say, Lebron is so great, he can make the adjustments,
- 4:09Speaker 4: but Luca's going number one. We've said he's going to
- 4:11Speaker 4: learn to play faster because they're not going to play
- 4:14Speaker 4: like Lebron and those guys are not going to do
- 4:16Speaker 4: like he did against the matter he gets the ball
- 4:18Speaker 4: one hundred percent of the time. You know he's gonna
- 4:20Speaker 4: have to learn to play the wing some. But you
- 4:24Speaker 4: just can't put great players together and think it's going
- 4:27Speaker 4: to work well. I think, first from a Dallas standpoint,
- 4:30Speaker 4: I don't think you trade a guy like you, Luca Dondas,
- 4:32Speaker 4: if he's unhappy, you try to make him happy. I
- 4:35Speaker 4: think you trade him when you're unhappy. And so there
- 4:38Speaker 4: was something about the management that probably they were unhappy
- 4:40Speaker 4: with that made this happen. Now, when you get a
- 4:44Speaker 4: d you know you are secure. I agree with Shock,
- 4:47Speaker 4: you are secure for the next two three years. It's
- 4:49Speaker 4: a parallel move and could be a positive move.
- 4:53Speaker 2: With Ad, there's.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Nothing there's no drop off because Ad is averaging over
- 4:57Speaker 4: twenty six twenty seven points a game. He impacts the
- 5:01Speaker 4: game differently than Luca, of course, but he can impact
- 5:04Speaker 4: the game at a higher level at the four when
- 5:08Speaker 4: you got guys who now, who's gonna have to So
- 5:11Speaker 4: if you play the Lakers and you're the Dallas Mavericks,
- 5:13Speaker 4: Lebron James is going to have to possibly guard Anthony
- 5:17Speaker 4: Davis when Lively and Stafford are there.
- 5:18Speaker 2: That's not gonna happen and not going to be good
- 5:20Speaker 2: for anyone.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Aaron Gordon's gonna have to guard him and not Jokic.
- 5:24Speaker 4: So there's a lot of difference in the advantages for Dallas.
- 5:28Speaker 4: But Luka Doncis is a generational talent. Anytime he's on
- 5:31Speaker 4: the floor, your team is going to be thought of,
- 5:34Speaker 4: is they can win a seven game series because he
- 5:37Speaker 4: can put together.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Five games, not two, not three. He could put.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Together five games that are astronomical in a series. So
- 5:45Speaker 4: I think they've both gotten better, But in the short term,
- 5:48Speaker 4: Dallas is the best.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I think Jimmy Butler's impact on the Golden State Warriors
- 5:52Speaker 1: will be blank.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I think he can make a positive impact, you know.
- 5:57Speaker 3: I think he's going to go in there with a
- 6:00Speaker 3: chip on his shoulder. We dubbed him playoff Jimmy many times.
- 6:05Speaker 3: So I think he's gonna go in there and give
- 6:07Speaker 3: them seventeen eight to twenty points a game. And I
- 6:10Speaker 3: think if they can stay healthy, I know, you know,
- 6:12Speaker 3: they're you know, big for his agent. If they can
- 6:14Speaker 3: stay healthy and the others can play play played play well,
- 6:19Speaker 3: I think he can make some impact. Did I have
- 6:20Speaker 3: the chance to win the championship? Probably not, But I
- 6:23Speaker 3: think they can put the you know, gether some consistency
- 6:26Speaker 3: and the string of wins. And I think, you know,
- 6:28Speaker 3: he's gonna love playing with Steph Curry and Dreylne Green.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Steph says he expects a motivated, committed Jimmy who is
- 6:36Speaker 1: committed now to be with the Warriors till the end
- 6:38Speaker 1: of the twenty six twenty seven season. How about the
- 6:42Speaker 1: DeAndre Hunter move? How about Cleveland adding they Andre Hunter? Today?
- 6:46Speaker 4: Two teams to me, really got good today. The cav
- 6:50Speaker 4: Or really got better better and the Milwaukee Bucks. But
- 6:53Speaker 4: this right here, I have no idea what the hell
- 6:56Speaker 4: the Atlanta Hawks are doing. And he got rid of Bogdanovitch.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Also to the Clippers, you know, we've been arguing me
- 7:01Speaker 4: and Kenny who's the best player in Atlanta after trade.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I think it's DeAndre Hunter. I think this is a
- 7:08Speaker 4: home run. They didn't give up a lot for him.
- 7:11Speaker 4: And I'm telling you, man, I love the Cavaliers today,
- 7:14Speaker 4: but I think I say I love what Milwaukee did also.
- 7:17Speaker 2: But this to me with the Middleton and Kuzma, yes, uh.
- 7:21Speaker 4: And also they got another guy today, the Milwaukee buck tead.
- 7:24Speaker 4: They got the Porter Jim Porter Cheerdan.
- 7:26Speaker 2: But they had to get more athletic. They were one
- 7:28Speaker 2: of the worst defensive team in the world.
- 7:29Speaker 4: They had zero athletic ability. Kyle Kuzma and Porter JUNI
- 7:33Speaker 4: are going to have him. But this was to me
- 7:35Speaker 4: right here, this made in my opinion, this made the
- 7:39Speaker 4: calv They solidified themselves with the Boston Celtics as the
- 7:43Speaker 4: two best teams in the Eastern Conference. This was a
- 7:45Speaker 4: great play. And I can say, man, I don't know
- 7:46Speaker 4: what the hell of the Hawks are doing. Well, you know,
- 7:48Speaker 4: the Hawks is just playing for the future. Basically, when
- 7:51Speaker 4: you look at the trade, you go they think and Johnson,
- 7:54Speaker 4: do you do you do?
- 7:55Speaker 2: You know? How can you think we should.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Saying Johnson are the guys that they need to develop,
- 7:59Speaker 4: But they don't even have their number one pick that
- 8:01Speaker 4: goes to San Antonio next year, they're gonna be.
- 8:04Speaker 2: But I'm just saying they're gonna be in the lottery.
- 8:06Speaker 4: They've lost like eight nine in a row and that
- 8:08Speaker 4: pick goes to the San Antonio Spurs. So how can
- 8:11Speaker 4: they be playing for the future in terms of playing
- 8:14Speaker 4: Risha Cha and playing Johnson more Man.
- 8:17Speaker 2: You don't do that.
- 8:17Speaker 1: That was stopping.
- 8:18Speaker 4: That's what they're doing. That's what's gonna happen. Listen, we
- 8:21Speaker 4: better damn GMS tonight. My team, that's right, the young,
- 8:25Speaker 4: the gen Z's, and then all start getting
