• 0:35
Speaker 1: Enjoy this moment. This is the longest week of our
• 0:37
Speaker 1: entire lives. This weekend will probably be the.
• 0:40
Speaker 2: Fastest of your entire lives.
• 0:41

Speaker 2: of your game. Thank you Fandel, Thank you Fandel, and
• 1:38
Speaker 2: also thank you to the audience. Last week we said
• 1:42
Speaker 2: if you like the show, simply subscribe to The Boys
• 1:45
Speaker 2: on the Locker Room alone, we gained over one thousand subscribers,
• 1:48
Speaker 2: which is massive for the brand, massive for the Boys.
• 1:51
Speaker 2: If you love the Boys and you love the Locker Room,
• 1:53
Speaker 2: just subscribe again, because if you're watching a second time,
• 1:56
Speaker 2: then you like what you see. You like this pretty
• 1:59
Speaker 2: bald head up here if you don't pay for it,
• 2:01
Speaker 2: beautiful mustache. But fellas, how are we feeling?
• 2:05
Speaker 1: I feel like a million domestic dude. This has been
• 2:07
Speaker 1: I think this is the first year where the dust
• 2:10
Speaker 1: is settled. My first year being a fan of football, Josh,
• 2:13
Speaker 1: you don't know this. I won a national championship with
• 2:15
Speaker 1: my team. Yeah, that was like my first year kind
• 2:17
Speaker 1: of diving into college sports.
• 2:20
Speaker 2: Now a year is gone.
• 2:21
Speaker 1: I had a year year of turmoil where we couldn't
• 2:22
Speaker 1: pass the ball at all. All Right, the only team
• 2:24
Speaker 1: we passed more than we're like military schools. Now I'm
• 2:27
Speaker 1: in this excitement. I got Bryce Underwood, I got a
• 2:30
Speaker 1: full slate of games.
• 2:31
Speaker 2: That I'm excited for.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: This is my I think the first time in my
• 2:33
Speaker 1: life that I've been like, I cannot wait for the
• 2:35
Speaker 1: football season. I called JP on Tuesday to talk about
• 2:38
Speaker 1: South Carolina and we're both in agreement. This is the
• 2:41
Speaker 1: longest week of the entire year.
• 2:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't believe I'm looking at these games in
• 2:45
Speaker 3: my hand right here, because sometimes in August you'll find this.
• 2:48
Speaker 3: As your fandom goes on and you mature, you'll find
• 2:51
Speaker 3: that sometimes you get to the week one countdown and
• 2:53
Speaker 3: you say, I feel like this one kind of snuck
• 2:55
Speaker 3: up on us a little bit. I feel like not
• 2:57
Speaker 3: a lots of being said about this team, that team.
• 2:59
Speaker 3: You missed this How Carolina. I've heard thirty different takes
• 3:02
Speaker 3: on Lenora Sellers. I've heard people talk about Shane biemeran
• 3:05
Speaker 3: whether he can backload defensive talent for it feels like
• 3:08
Speaker 3: a year. I feel like we have very very much
• 3:10
Speaker 3: saturated the preseason talk and we'll do a little bit
• 3:13
  Speaker 3: more right now.
• 3:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's did the energy? Do you feel like
• 3:17
Speaker 2: that same thing has happened with Oklahoma?
• 3:19
  Speaker 3: With me?
• 3:19
  Speaker 2: It has.
• 3:20
Speaker 3: So I was doing radio last week and I'm trying
• 3:22
Speaker 3: to figure out because they're asking me, hey, give it,
• 3:24
Speaker 3: give us an under the radar team. I've been on
• 3:26
Speaker 3: them for like half a year. I've been on Matier
• 3:28
Speaker 3: like I know him better than his parents do, so
• 3:29
Speaker 3: to me, they're not under the radar. But I got
• 3:31
Speaker 3: to think, are these folks just now talking, like if
• 3:33
Speaker 3: I'm doing radio in Dallas, are they just now talking
• 3:36
Speaker 3: college football? Because if they are, they're going to think
• 3:39
Speaker 3: the dude's insane. S she thinks Oklahoma could be a
• 3:41
  Speaker 3: top ten team.
• 3:42
  Speaker 2: That's insane.
• 3:43
Speaker 3: So maybe depends on how in the weeds you've been.
• 3:45
Speaker 1: Because it seems like it like March, everyone was like
• 3:47
Speaker 1: Oklahoma was bad last year, they're gonna be bad this
• 3:49
Speaker 1: year than this Matereer guy transfers him and then in
• 3:52
Speaker 1: the last month and a half, Matier is going to
• 3:55
Speaker 1: be a Heisman candidate. He's the guy ball ball Oklahoma's
• 3:58
Speaker 1: back Jackson Arnold, He's gone like they just seem like
• 4:02
Speaker 1: everyone's now fully on the Oklahoma train.
• 4:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, and then they did that with Florida State last year,
• 4:06
Speaker 3: and then what happened like this, just to let people
• 4:09
Speaker 3: know how to watch the show, to let us know
• 4:11
Speaker 3: how to talk about the show. It was this week
• 4:13
Speaker 3: last year where I turn on Game Day and I'm
• 4:16
Speaker 3: high on Florida State. Everyone timing in Florida State, and
• 4:18
Speaker 3: I listen to Nick Saban, who I regard is maybe
• 4:20
Speaker 3: the best judge of talent out there. He says, I
• 4:22
Speaker 3: just went to practice. I watched Florida State. That looks
• 4:25
Speaker 3: like the best personnel I see in the ACC. They're
• 4:28
Speaker 3: gonna win the ACC. Dive bomb crater into the side
• 4:32
Speaker 3: of the mountain. No one knows anything.
• 4:34
Speaker 2: No one knows anything. No one knows anything. Because you
• 4:37
Speaker 2: were saying before you you think you see the board clearly.
• 4:39
Speaker 2: Today I will say nobody sees anything. But nobody's seeing
• 4:42
Speaker 2: the field as clearly as Willy see is this weekend. Yeah,
• 4:46
Speaker 2: I've been doing some deep dives, deep dives, some deep
• 4:49
Speaker 2: dives on these teams, just to give people a little
• 4:51
Speaker 2: easier You guys, see your boy decked out in Nebraska gear.
• 4:55
Speaker 2: We're going to be talking Nebraska Cincinnati Thursday night, where
• 4:58
Speaker 2: a for the for the haters in the comments to
• 5:00
Speaker 2: say we don't touch the Big twelve. Outside of Taylor's
• 5:02
Speaker 2: monologue with Arizona State Josh bad he's an SEC homer,
• 5:05
Speaker 2: we're talking Big twelve this week, and by Big twelve,
• 5:08
Speaker 2: were talking Baylor Auburn, Yes, that's an SEC team. We're
• 5:10
Speaker 2: talking Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame in Miami. The Convicts,
• 5:13
Speaker 2: the Catholics versus Convicts rivalry is kicking off our college
• 5:17
Speaker 2: football season. Virginia Tech, South Carolina whom I mess LSU, Clemson,
• 5:22
Speaker 2: and then the main event of the evening Ohio State Texas, which,
• 5:26
Speaker 2: by the way, there's a lot of noise around Ohio
• 5:28
Speaker 2: State right now. Wow, big newon kickoff. Dave Portnoy ban
• 5:33
Speaker 2: from Ohio State. I'm also reading that Dave Portnoy's not
• 5:36
Speaker 2: going to any of the Big ten schools. I feel
• 5:38
Speaker 2: like it's a massive wrench in the plan for Fox.
• 5:41
Speaker 2: Fox is also in a debate with YouTube TV.
• 5:44
Speaker 3: I'm asking the Auburn Baylor games on Friday night that's
• 5:47
Speaker 3: on Fox, right Yeah, I have a working theory that
• 5:49
Speaker 3: could already be shot to death by the time this
• 5:51
Speaker 3: is uploaded, that they're gonna use that game as leverage,
• 5:55
Speaker 3: and they're gonna let that game go dark. And if
• 5:57
Speaker 3: you're on YouTube TV looking for Auburn Baylor, apologies to
• 5:59
Speaker 3: certain people standing behind me Friday night, you don't see
• 6:01
Speaker 3: that one. And then there's outrage, torches and pitchforks everywhere,
• 6:04
Speaker 3: and they get it settled just in time for Ohio
• 6:06
Speaker 3: State Texas Saturday. But I think Auburn and Baylor may
• 6:09
Speaker 3: have to suffer, at which point the committee asks, come
• 6:12
Speaker 3: selection Sunday, if Baylor's had a ten to two season,
• 6:15
Speaker 3: if we didn't see the Baylor game in week one,
• 6:18
Speaker 3: can we really judge Baylor on that game in Week one?
• 6:21
Speaker 3: Who knows? Man YouTube TV could.
• 6:22
Speaker 2: Keep judge it? Future college football commissioner, how would you
• 6:27
Speaker 2: view that game if it wasn't on TV?
• 6:28
Speaker 3: Don't you have to have multiple viewing options. Don't you
• 6:31
Speaker 3: have to have a buddy. Don't you have to have
• 6:32
Speaker 3: a backup plan you've had six months. Don't you have
• 6:36
Speaker 3: to have at least some kind of dude who knows
• 6:38
Speaker 3: the Internet and the inner workings of it enough to
• 6:40
Speaker 3: get you a pirated stream. That's not something we advocate
• 6:43
Speaker 3: for on this channel, we advocate.
• 6:45
Speaker 1: For responsible, responsible gaming, responsible viewing everything.
• 6:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, gotta have it. Yeah, I'm worried about it though.
• 6:52
Speaker 2: Should we dive in? Yes?
• 6:53
Speaker 1: Do we want to quickly dive into the Dave Portnoy
• 6:58
Speaker 1: saga and the Ryan Day or we want to leave
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: that alone?
• 7:00
Speaker 2: We can dive into it.
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: We want because I get a little I get a
• 7:02
Speaker 1: little nervous because you and I we're trying to go
• 7:04
Speaker 1: to Texas, Ohio State this weekend.
• 7:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, the boys are trying to go. Listen to themazing evening,
• 7:09
Speaker 2: there's been one clearance College game Day, Big noon Kickoff,
• 7:12
Speaker 2: Fall Don't Lie Tour. Yeah, the Boys of Fall are
• 7:14
Speaker 2: the bus and boys gonna be able to get in
• 7:16
Speaker 2: this game. We don't know.
• 7:17
Speaker 1: I know fifty percent has already been approved. No content
• 7:20
Speaker 1: we put in. We go to big new kickoff.
• 7:22
Speaker 2: He keep saying in the main and bed at the evening.
• 7:24
Speaker 2: This is at noon noon.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: We we sent in myself, Will Compton, JP Hovey, Jack McPherson.
• 7:33
Speaker 1: We want, we want to go to this game. You
• 7:36
Speaker 1: get approved immediately. The three of us are kind of
• 7:39
Speaker 1: sitting in the rafters. I think there's something that might
• 7:41
Speaker 1: happen where I don't know how much noise Ryan Day
• 7:44
Speaker 1: allows to creep into his office.
• 7:45
Speaker 2: You kind of allude to it before the show started.
• 7:48
Speaker 1: I'm worried if he does allow the noise to creep
• 7:50
Speaker 1: in a little bit, even though he is a friend
• 7:51
Speaker 1: of the show, because he's been on we had a
• 7:52
Speaker 1: good time friend of the show.
• 7:53
Speaker 2: He's a friend of the show.
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: I have said nasty things, and I think there's a
• 7:57
Speaker 1: situation where will JP and Jack are getting on a
• 8:00
Speaker 1: plane Saturday morning, early morning, and I'm I'm back at home,
• 8:04
Speaker 1: hoping God the YouTube TV Fox Rights get dialed in
• 8:07
Speaker 1: so I can watch the game.
• 8:08
Speaker 3: Don't you think a little bit? Well, let me ask
• 8:10
Speaker 3: you this. Do you think you'd be the same way
• 8:11
Speaker 3: if you were him? No, you don't think you'd be
• 8:14
Speaker 3: the same way. So I can't disagree with you. You know
• 8:18
Speaker 3: you better than me. I think a lot of the
• 8:19
Speaker 3: folks out there saying, man, Ryan Days soft, Ohio State soft.
• 8:22
Speaker 3: I think if I put them in this similar situation
• 8:25
Speaker 3: and they were to have just gone through, you know,
• 8:26
Speaker 3: watching their neighbor to the north get investigated, and then
• 8:29
Speaker 3: they watched their main media partner hire a guy who
• 8:33
Speaker 3: is on record is calling him crying day ten days
• 8:36
Speaker 3: out of the week. I would look at it and
• 8:38
Speaker 3: I could say, I can't do anything to take that
• 8:39
Speaker 3: guy off here. I'm a little unhappy my media partner
• 8:42
Speaker 3: hired him. The one thing in my control is at
• 8:45
Speaker 3: least I control access to our building. I think I
• 8:48
Speaker 3: may be that small. I think I would.
• 8:49
Speaker 2: Actually go that route you think he would.
• 8:51
Speaker 3: So I haven't called him soft because I actually think
• 8:53
Speaker 3: it would aggravate me enough to where I'd say to
• 8:55
Speaker 3: my sid or I would say to my director for
• 8:58
Speaker 3: football operations, screw that guy. I'm not letting him in here.
• 9:01
Speaker 3: But then I also think it's fair on the other side,
• 9:03
Speaker 3: like Fox has got to make a move. Fox has
• 9:05
Speaker 3: got to counter what's happening on the other program. You
• 9:07
Speaker 3: got Lee Corso's last day, and you've also got McAfee
• 9:10
Speaker 3: doing what he's doing on the other network, so you
• 9:11
Speaker 3: had to make a move. I just think a lot
• 9:13
Speaker 3: of times people get tied up into this is the
• 9:15
Speaker 3: football business, this is the foot it's the entertainment business.
• 9:17
Speaker 3: You get paid eight figures per year because you're in
• 9:20
Speaker 3: the entertainment business. That's why you make more than the
• 9:23
Speaker 3: lacrosse coach makes so a little bit of the trade
• 9:25
Speaker 3: off is, yeah, you're all about ex's nose. You kind
• 9:28
Speaker 3: of have to deal with with stuff in that bubble
• 9:30
Speaker 3: every now and then. So I actually got no problem
• 9:32
Speaker 3: with what Dave says about him. I got no problem
• 9:34
Speaker 3: with the measures they've taken. It's just fun to talk about.
• 9:37
Speaker 3: To me, I fare both ways.
• 9:38
Speaker 2: To me, you brought up the entertainment.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: You're in the entertainment industry as a head coach, like
• 9:42
Speaker 1: allowing people into the building. There is a path where
• 9:44
Speaker 1: Ryan Day can go and have fun with Dave Portnoy
• 9:47
Speaker 1: and said, making Dave Portnoy an enemy.
• 9:49
Speaker 2: Unless in his mind he just personally hates him like
• 9:51
Speaker 2: he might. You know, he might just have the we
• 9:53
Speaker 2: were talking about before, like an assistant or somebody come up,
• 9:55
Speaker 2: give them the information of what's going on the internet.
• 9:58
Speaker 2: And Ryan Day could simply just be like, yeah, I
• 10:00
Speaker 2: don't like this guy, keep him out of the keep
• 10:01
Speaker 2: him out of the stadium, then get and then go
• 10:03
Speaker 2: on about his business in football. There's evidence out there
• 10:05
Speaker 2: that says he's got his pulse on everything.
• 10:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, the evidence is Notre Dame, Ohio State and South
• 10:09
Speaker 1: Bend Day When they get the fourth and goal.
• 10:11
Speaker 2: I can't is it. Did they score? They're not way
• 10:13
Speaker 2: they scored, because there's ten minutes Ohio States scored and
• 10:16
Speaker 2: Notre Dame had nine players, all.
• 10:18
Speaker 1: Hard, hard fought game, hard fought game, and he's so
• 10:21
Speaker 1: focused on lou Holtz. Then the flag gets planted after
• 10:25
Speaker 1: Michigan wins thirteen to ten, and they're so caught up
• 10:28
Speaker 1: in that that they're even taking away from their own
• 10:30
Speaker 1: national championship. And now this it's like, I understand you
• 10:34
Speaker 1: want to keep the noise out of your building, but
• 10:36
Speaker 1: this is not the way.
• 10:37
Speaker 2: You're just adding more noise on that. Maybe it's a
• 10:39
Speaker 2: boulder on his shoulder, man, Maybe he just creates those
• 10:42
Speaker 2: ships and he might be thinking about it. He might
• 10:44
Speaker 2: not be solely focused on it. But I could see
• 10:46
Speaker 2: the other way, Like for myself, once you they once
• 10:50
Speaker 2: Dave gets suspended, it's like if I was he coach
• 10:51
Speaker 2: Ohio State, I could see myself just posting a selfie,
• 10:54
Speaker 2: just a shit eating grin, and you're like, yeah, you
• 10:55
Speaker 2: guys know me, I don't give a fuck, right, and
• 10:58
Speaker 2: that's funny, Yeah right, Dave did that right now. But
• 11:01
Speaker 2: I would wipe my hands like that or publicly say
• 11:04
Speaker 2: or publicly do something to where Hey, Dave, you you
• 11:07
Speaker 2: can come in. The only way you can come in
• 11:09
Speaker 2: is if you take a picture of me midfield with
• 11:11
Speaker 2: the National Rital trophy.
• 11:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, or all these people that come in the media
• 11:15
Speaker 1: they have to wear some sort of Ahio state thing,
• 11:17
Speaker 1: like if you're gonna be here, you're gonna report all
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: the hollowed grounds.
• 11:20
Speaker 2: At the shoes. I saw another good idea where it's
• 11:22
Speaker 2: like you set up their set because they're inside the stadium,
• 11:24
Speaker 2: but you set their set up to where the national championship,
• 11:27
Speaker 2: the banner and everything else framed behind them the whole time,
• 11:31
Speaker 2: and just have them run the show that way. But
• 11:32
Speaker 2: I think there's fun ways to troll.
• 11:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, And if I'm Fox, I'm putting Dave Dave just
• 11:36
Speaker 1: outside the building, like literally one foot away from the
• 11:39
Speaker 1: distance he's not allowed to walk into and just having
• 11:41
Speaker 1: like a sideline reporter type of vibe.
• 11:43
  Speaker 3: See, I think it's a it's a lot more personal
• 11:45
Speaker 3: to Fox to me with them, it's a lot more
• 11:46
Speaker 3: personal to Fox because they're sitting there having to play
• 11:48
Speaker 3: all their big games at noon, big new kickoff the
• 11:51
Speaker 3: name of the game.
• 11:52
Speaker 2: Actually, Yeah, and I.
• 11:52
Speaker 3: Think it's worn on them like it's yeah, they get
• 11:55
Speaker 3: a ton of money for it, like the Big tens
• 11:56
Speaker 3: and media right steal with Fox, and so they're already
• 11:58
Speaker 3: rubbing a long way by light. Yeah yeah, like so
• 12:00
Speaker 3: you don't have to complain.
• 12:01
Speaker 2: Now what's going beyond Ohio States where saying that he
• 12:04
Speaker 2: can't go into the Big ten stadiums.
• 12:06
Speaker 3: Which they tried to pass off as protocol, which absolutely
• 12:08
Speaker 3: was not protocol until about forty eight hours ago.
• 12:11
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's on fire in that office right now
• 12:13
Speaker 2: because they got to appease. It's like they yeah, they
• 12:15
Speaker 2: want to operate, have Dave, they're trying to compete with
• 12:18
Speaker 2: ESPN and stuff, but they got to appease their biggest
• 12:21
Speaker 2: media rights partner in the Big ten, Big ten saying.
• 12:23
Speaker 3: No, this is where we're standing on it. I'm just
• 12:25
Speaker 3: gonna say, this is supposed to be all about Lee Corso.
• 12:28
Speaker 3: This week is supposed to be about him making the
• 12:29
Speaker 3: last headgear pick. I have not heard anyone speak about
• 12:32
Speaker 3: it all week. It's been all about Fox, it's been
• 12:34
Speaker 3: all about Big News, it's been all about Portnoy, been
• 12:36
Speaker 3: all about Ohio State.
• 12:37
Speaker 2: So it's more guerrilla warfare. But I think it's been successful.
• 12:41
  Speaker 3: No.
• 12:41
Speaker 2: Publicity's bad publicity and the thing that fixes everything.
• 12:44
Speaker 3: Winning kickoff in this case fixes everything.
• 12:47
Speaker 2: What game we want to start with? Huskers? That's the
• 12:53
Speaker 2: main event of the evening, the evening like that. Do
• 12:56
Speaker 2: you want to do that now Huskers? Yeah? Yeah, it's
• 13:01
Speaker 2: Thursday night. This game takes off tomorrow. This is the
• 13:03
Speaker 2: first game of week one. Where's the uh we have
• 13:06
Speaker 2: a little talking point? Is that it? Yeah, yeah, you
• 13:10
Speaker 2: want me to hit you?
• 13:10
Speaker 1: Well, it says Taylor, and then it says Will, and
• 13:12
Speaker 1: then it says Taylor, Okay, want me to Yeah.
• 13:14
Speaker 2: I don't know what the card is. Ryan's like, you
• 13:16
Speaker 2: can borrow my card and then hand it back to Okay. Hey, guys,
• 13:19
Speaker 2: By the way, the boys are heading the road.
• 13:20
Speaker 1: We're tackling a little trip at Aarwhead Stadium to witness
• 13:23
Speaker 1: Will's Nebraska Cornhuskers face Cincinnati Bearcats. Of course, we're locked
• 13:26
Speaker 1: and loaded with our pick. We are rolling with our boy,
• 13:29
Speaker 1: Will Compton. We'll let get we'll get to his pick
• 13:32
Speaker 1: in a minute. But FanDuel said, you know what, let's
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: make it interesting.
• 13:36
Speaker 2: Will. This is your card. Yes, sir, FanDuel is giving
• 13:38
Speaker 2: every single customer a massive fifty percent profit boost. No
• 13:43
Speaker 2: matter what side you pick. You could tail the boys
• 13:46
Speaker 2: and go Nebraska. You could tail the boys and go
• 13:50
Speaker 2: Nebraska for a fifty percent profit boost, or completely go
• 13:53
Speaker 2: against us and roll with Cincinnati. One way or another,
• 13:56
Speaker 2: someone's walking away with a little extra bread. Yeah.
• 14:00
Speaker 1: Okay, whether you're back in the cornuss with us, or
• 14:02
Speaker 1: you think you've got it got it wrong, and you're
• 14:05
Speaker 1: ready to fade, head over to Fandel sportsbook app right now,
• 14:07
Speaker 1: grab a fifty percent profit boost for Nebraska versus Cincinnati.
• 14:12
Speaker 2: Will the stage is yours?
• 14:13
  Speaker 3: Yeah?
• 14:14
Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if you guys agree. This
• 14:16
Speaker 2: has got Husker's written all over it. This is a
• 14:18
Speaker 2: big year. Just look at the optics. Stick with me
• 14:20
Speaker 2: here for a second, Joshua, Just look at the optics
• 14:24
Speaker 2: since they were of this week. That's take a will
• 14:27
Speaker 2: content ism lately. Stick with me. Listen to me. Listen
• 14:30
Speaker 2: to me, shut up, listen to me, because listen my
• 14:32
Speaker 2: daughter does to me at home. No dead down, I'm talking.
• 14:34
Speaker 2: Listen to me. Fair. I'm like, okay, all right, but
• 14:37
Speaker 2: just look at the optics this entire week. What superstars
• 14:40
Speaker 2: played at Cincinnati Jason Kelsey, Travis Kelsey, Jason Kelsey, Travis Kelsey,
• 14:44
Speaker 2: where we playing at? We're playing that arrowhead? What do
• 14:47
Speaker 2: you do to distract the public from this ass whoop
• 14:50
Speaker 2: and that's coming an Arrowhead on Thursday Night? Travis Kelcey
• 14:52
Speaker 2: coin flip you propose to Taylor switch?
• 14:54
Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty selfish and make it about.
• 14:57
Speaker 2: Something completely different, to act like this game's not even
• 15:00
Speaker 2: gonna happen. We all know the optimism that that's out
• 15:03
Speaker 2: there with Willie see Nebraska. I'm well aware that we
• 15:06
Speaker 2: are the we have the most, we have the the
• 15:08
Speaker 2: longest active streak of the comment this is our year.
• 15:12
Speaker 2: I'm not dumb into knowing that about us. I think it.
• 15:16
Speaker 2: This year is actually our year. This year you got
• 15:19
Speaker 2: Matt rule in year three. Everybody talks about the process
• 15:22
Speaker 2: of Matt rule. It's always year three. Joshua talks about
• 15:25
Speaker 2: it on his show. This is the formula Matt rule
• 15:27
Speaker 2: in year three, that's when it starts to shake. Dylan
• 15:29
Speaker 2: RelA year two with Dana Holgerson. JP knows Dana Holgerson,
• 15:34
Speaker 2: He's got the headset on the sideline for a full
• 15:36
Speaker 2: year under his belt. This is his team this year,
• 15:38
Speaker 2: not in the middle of the year. This year, full
• 15:40
Speaker 2: off season. You got Emma Johnson who is running the
• 15:43
Speaker 2: rock and averaging over five years of carry toward the
• 15:45
Speaker 2: back end of last year. We need him to stay healthy.
• 15:47
Speaker 2: Now we do need Emma Johnson to stay healthy because
• 15:49
Speaker 2: we have a young running back room. Our old line
• 15:51
Speaker 2: is Beefy Beefy. That Roco boy coming from Notre Dame.
• 15:55
Speaker 2: We got some size on the old line. We got
• 15:57
Speaker 2: guys on the outside. Dankey from Kentucky is Nazaiah Close.
• 16:04
Speaker 2: Zaia Hunter transferred to cow We got weapons on the outside.
• 16:07
Speaker 2: Jacory Barney one of the most electric returners in all
• 16:10
Speaker 2: the college football. He's in the slot shaking it up. Defensively,
• 16:14
Speaker 2: we have a younger deep. We have a veteran, veteran secondary.
• 16:16
Speaker 2: We got a young defensive line who I'm excited to
• 16:19
Speaker 2: see who's going through stand out on the defensive line,
• 16:21
Speaker 2: guys or high on this young Williams Kidd. He's a
• 16:23
  Speaker 2: freshman that's gonna be playing. He's a black shirt. I
• 16:26
Speaker 2: love the Huskers. You guys know I'm going to Huskers.
• 16:28
Speaker 2: This is mine six and a half. I don't know
• 16:30
  Speaker 2: why it hasn't moved up. I don't know why it's
• 16:31
Speaker 2: not minus thirteen and a half, but I'm taking the Huskers.
• 16:34
Speaker 2: I am a little nervous about Soresby, quarterback from Cincinnati.
• 16:39
Speaker 2: Little dual threat cat can always any dual threat quarterback
• 16:42
Speaker 2: you're slinging a little bit, They can always cause a
• 16:45
Speaker 2: little trouble. But I love the Huskers. This weekend Huskers.
• 16:51
Speaker 2: Scott Saderfield Huskers Scottfield.
• 16:54
Speaker 3: Scott Saderfield is just sitting there. Third year. I think
• 16:57
Speaker 3: at Cincinnati line looks so weird. I agree with you,
• 17:00
Speaker 3: line looks so weird. I have pulled the entire public.
• 17:03
Speaker 3: Haven't found a single Cincinnati better. But they got to
• 17:06
Speaker 3: be out there at FanDuel somewhere. If we could see
• 17:09
Speaker 3: under the hood, FanDuel could probably tell us. Yeah, a
• 17:11
Speaker 3: few people, a couple didn't wanted to Moine one and Fresno.
• 17:13
Speaker 3: They bet, they bet Cincinnati. I am kind of worried
• 17:17
Speaker 3: that what we are getting sucked into. You know, the
• 17:20
Speaker 3: Nebraska contingent of the greater Nashville area is that we're
• 17:23
Speaker 3: taking our season predictions and we're we're kind of projecting
• 17:27
Speaker 3: it onto the game because this is a game, it's
• 17:28
Speaker 3: not a season. So they could win by three Saturday
• 17:31
Speaker 3: or Thursday or whenever it is. It is a night game, though,
• 17:33
Speaker 3: and they could technically come through, but then Cincinnati gets
• 17:37
Speaker 3: the back door like vulture cover and so we're out money.
• 17:40
Speaker 3: But there's still one to oh. I think veteran dual
• 17:43
Speaker 3: threat quarterback Tony White gone as DC, so like you're
• 17:47
Speaker 3: trying to plug and play there a little bit younger
• 17:49
Speaker 3: D but like you said, secondary should be good, I
• 17:52
Speaker 3: think you may end up needing outscore them, at which
• 17:55
Speaker 3: point the most underrated part of this Nebraska roster comes through,
• 17:59
Speaker 3: and that's the wide receiver. Because o that side of you,
• 18:00
Speaker 3: no one's talking about Nebraska wide receivers. And I think
• 18:03
Speaker 3: the Nebraska wide receiver room, even if since he has
• 18:05
Speaker 3: an uncomfortable number twenty four to twenty seven on the board,
• 18:08
Speaker 3: I think Nebraska can find thirty four. So I like
• 18:11
Speaker 3: Nebraska to win it and cover.
• 18:12
Speaker 1: I like all the things both of you guys said,
• 18:14
Speaker 1: talk to them, Josh one.
• 18:18
Speaker 2: One thing I disagree with this. This is not a game,
• 18:20
Speaker 2: this is this season.
• 18:21
Speaker 1: This is every every like since Matt rule came here,
• 18:24
Speaker 1: Since Matt rule came here, it's been like, don't worry
• 18:27
Speaker 1: about year one, don't even look at year two. Year
• 18:29
Speaker 1: three is the time it's going to happen. You're going
• 18:31
Speaker 1: to say, quarterback that ends up flipping this game must win.
• 18:34
  Speaker 2: It's a must win.
• 18:36
Speaker 1: It's a must win game for the Huskers if we're
• 18:38
Speaker 1: going to set the tone. And I have to sit
• 18:40
Speaker 1: on a fucking bus every single year and hear the
• 18:43
Speaker 1: same comment of this is our the year, this is
• 18:45
Speaker 1: our year. A couple of years ago it was the
• 18:46
Speaker 1: best three to nine team of all time. Last year
• 18:49
Speaker 1: you were thought, what was the big, more.
• 18:51
Speaker 2: Bad, more bull was the national championship because we lost
• 18:54
Speaker 2: a lot of very close games on the back half.
• 18:56
Speaker 2: Saying we were in position. I'm Huskers, yep. I think
• 19:00
Speaker 2: minus six and a half is disrespectful. I mean, it's
• 19:02
Speaker 2: me wondering what do they know in Vegas that we
• 19:04
Speaker 2: don't know? What this fan don't know that we don't know.
• 19:06
Speaker 1: What do we know that they don't know if they
• 19:08
Speaker 1: must cover over thirteen and a half here. I think
• 19:12
Speaker 1: this is a year. This is a statement game for Nebraska.
• 19:14
Speaker 1: This is Royola's coming out party. This is when the
• 19:17
Speaker 1: Nebraska cornersker fans finally go to put their hat at
• 19:20
Speaker 1: night and they finally have something to hang it on.
• 19:22
Speaker 1: It's like, we are fucking here.
• 19:25
Speaker 2: So you know what this show's got the Vegas does
• 19:27
Speaker 2: and half what you're looking at him this brain right here,
• 19:30
Speaker 2: that's seeing the field as clear as day, buddy.
• 19:33
Speaker 1: I would love to like I would love to have this,
• 19:35
Speaker 1: but this happens every single year, every single year. No, no,
• 19:40
Speaker 1: the can bust and fa can come and pop on by.
• 19:42
  Speaker 2: That's hilarious. Will's dude, That's that's all Will's. He really
• 19:45
  Speaker 2: is bought in.
• 19:46
Speaker 1: I've seen it. I've been around it, I've lived it.
• 19:48
Speaker 1: You're my best friend. I see it every single day,
• 19:51
Speaker 1: every single day. In the fall, husters get brought up.
• 19:54
Speaker 1: This is the reason why it's different this week. This
• 19:55
Speaker 1: is the reason why it's different this year. I agree
• 19:58
  Speaker 1: with you.
• 19:58
Speaker 2: This year. Every year it has been different.
• 20:00
Speaker 1: Needs Cincinnati and I'm sorry. I need Nebraska to prove it.
• 20:04
  Speaker 2: I need it. Every year it's been different. I wasn't
• 20:06
Speaker 2: singing ten and two college playoff last year?
• 20:09
Speaker 1: Was I I think you said twelve and oh in March,
• 20:11
Speaker 1: I think you said twelve and oh the March before that.
• 20:14
Speaker 2: Every year we look at it, you go, but you
• 20:16
Speaker 2: know it's a crazy thing. We can't win the Big
• 20:17
Speaker 2: ten this year. You know, I'm feeling a little different
• 20:19
Speaker 2: this year. I know that. You know that if you
• 20:21
Speaker 2: know me as well as you say, you know, there's
• 20:23
Speaker 2: just a different feeling.
• 20:23
  Speaker 1: I understand because there's there's a real expectation out there.
• 20:26
  Speaker 1: It's not like a hope, it's a real like, Oh,
• 20:29
Speaker 1: this is something you can grab taste and feel.
• 20:31
Speaker 2: You can put your senses on the this year, if I.
• 20:34
Speaker 3: If I can, if I could just insert something here,
• 20:38
Speaker 3: The difference this year is that I believe it. Oh
• 20:42
Speaker 3: that's the difference this year.
• 20:44
Speaker 2: Having said that comments, yeah, we believe Will.
• 20:50
Speaker 1: Will is a bunch of papers, right Augusta Winn comes
• 20:52
Speaker 1: to start playing, you're the paper weight that's going to
• 20:54
Speaker 1: hold it down from.
• 20:55
  Speaker 2: My host pick.
• 20:56
Speaker 3: But how about how about must win on a Thursday night?
• 20:58
Speaker 3: Just the must win label thrown on has to sadderfield rule.
• 21:02
Speaker 3: Do you want to go alt line? You know you
• 21:04
Speaker 3: can go alt line on this you like nine and
• 21:06
Speaker 3: a half, you can lay ten.
• 21:07
Speaker 2: I'll listen. I will responsibly and personally put in my
• 21:12
Speaker 2: bet which I will be moving the line. But for
• 21:15
Speaker 2: the fans out there, we want to add more a responsibility.
• 21:18
Speaker 3: Smart. It is Thursday of week one.
• 21:20
Speaker 2: It is Thursday and week one.
• 21:23
Speaker 1: I mean rules got a podcast, He's got all these
• 21:26
Speaker 1: transfer portal guys. He's got everyone's saying your three met rule,
• 21:30
  Speaker 1: you feel it.
• 21:31
Speaker 2: Out of the forty out of the forty four of
• 21:34
Speaker 2: the two deep, over half is underclassmen. The development and
• 21:39
Speaker 2: the process is coming into play. Guys are making, Guys
• 21:43
Speaker 2: are gonna get their number called on Saturday. You look
• 21:45
Speaker 2: at that depth chart, there's a lot of ores that
• 21:47
Speaker 2: sit around because there's gonna be rotations. Nebraska's got a
• 21:50
Speaker 2: little bit of depth right now.
• 21:51
Speaker 1: Here's where I want to see more than anything. The
• 21:53
Speaker 1: third quarter ends, fourth quarter starts.
• 21:56
Speaker 2: The offense. Navasa's offense is coming in the field. Riolo's
• 21:59
  Speaker 2: not on there.
• 22:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, but you guys are up comfortable.
• 22:02
Speaker 2: That's what I want. Would love to see that.
• 22:03
Speaker 1: That's when I would sit there wherever you and I
• 22:05
Speaker 1: are sitting, because I know the NFL is we're ruals,
• 22:07
Speaker 1: but they're staying. Will probably be sitting in a box
• 22:08
Speaker 1: somewhere and I'll look at you fan those box, I'll
• 22:11
Speaker 1: put my hand on your knee and I go, you've
• 22:12
Speaker 1: done it like this is this is something we can
• 22:15
Speaker 1: look at and on Monday we could be like, this
• 22:16
Speaker 1: is a real team.
• 22:18
Speaker 2: Just I'll be smiling into your so you'll set anyway.
• 22:20
Speaker 2: But the internal part of me, the compliment, the sentence,
• 22:25
Speaker 2: I will love to hear.
• 22:26
Speaker 3: The endorsement is you guys look pretty good. Nothing better.
• 22:31
Speaker 2: That's what I want to walk away a backdoor cover.
• 22:34
  Speaker 2: It's a tight game, like.
• 22:36
Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm thinking the entire exactly yeah.
• 22:39
Speaker 2: And god forbid it like if Nebraska doesn't cover.
• 22:42
Speaker 3: Don't talk like that, don't talk like that.
• 22:43
Speaker 1: Right, But this is a show that people are watching.
• 22:45
Speaker 1: There's probably thirteen Cincinnati fans that are probably tuning into
• 22:47
  Speaker 1: the show right.
• 22:48
Speaker 2: Now, the majority ninety five percent probably when are they
• 22:51
Speaker 2: going to get to the next game? We know Will's
• 22:52
  Speaker 2: going huskers?
• 22:54
  Speaker 1: I think, I mean, I don't think there was were
• 22:56
Speaker 1: you ever not going to go Huskers in this game?
• 22:58
Speaker 3: There was there was a time where I was driving
• 23:00
Speaker 3: over this morning that I sought out the alternative point
• 23:02
Speaker 3: of view because I legit wanted to know. I called
• 23:04
Speaker 3: a couple of buddies, like you're betting, sensey why? And
• 23:07
Speaker 3: they taught me through it And I said, respectfully you're wrong.
• 23:09
Speaker 3: So no, I was never coming off Nebraska.
• 23:11
Speaker 2: The same guy that I picked the Iowa state last week.
• 23:13
  Speaker 2: That's true.
• 23:13
Speaker 3: I'm just saying there's a large portion of the viewing
• 23:17
Speaker 3: contingent that may watch this Friday when the game has
• 23:20
Speaker 3: already happened. Imagine that world. Imagine how we look one
• 23:24
Speaker 3: way or the other to the Friday crowd.
• 23:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the best looking like geniuses are looking like
• 23:30
Speaker 1: for the most part, idiots.
• 23:31
Speaker 3: Because that's when the comments come in, when someone has
• 23:32
Speaker 3: the benefit of hindsight on their side.
• 23:34
Speaker 2: Blood, that's when the flood starts and it's usually it's
• 23:36
Speaker 2: easy though, We'll be easy to go. Yeah, we'll be
• 23:39
Speaker 2: all right. LSU at Clemson number nine verse number four.
• 23:43
Speaker 2: LSU's uh, Clemson is favored by three and a half.
• 23:48
Speaker 2: The over under on this game is fifty seven and
• 23:50
Speaker 2: a half. I feel like there, you know, I feel
• 23:53
Speaker 2: like there's a couple of different sides in this in
• 23:55
  Speaker 2: this conversation.
• 23:57
Speaker 1: Yeah, least at least too Yeah, there might be you listen, Clemson.
• 24:03
Speaker 1: Dad has been there in two thousand and eight. They've
• 24:05
Speaker 1: got a lot of their returning stars happening. Their entire
• 24:07
Speaker 1: offensive line comes back They got a nasty defensive, a
• 24:09
  Speaker 1: lot of depth.
• 24:10
  Speaker 2: They got TJ.
• 24:11
Speaker 1: Parker and Peter Woods, a couple of guys that can
• 24:13
Speaker 1: wak some havoc on the defensive line. They you look
• 24:16
Speaker 1: at this and you say, well, LSU's lost. They haven't
• 24:20
Speaker 1: won a home opener since twenty nineteen, Brian Kelly's oh
• 24:23
Speaker 1: and three in his home openers. You look at the
• 24:26
Speaker 1: history and you would say, this is a game that
• 24:27
Speaker 1: looks like it's going to go Clemson. Especially in Death Valley.
• 24:30
Speaker 2: You talked about a lot of great points in say Clemson,
• 24:33
  Speaker 2: I know that. That's what I'm That's what I'm getting at.
• 24:35
Speaker 1: Now we start to flip the script a little bit.
• 24:37
Speaker 1: We talk about Garrett Nosmile. This cat is he is
• 24:41
Speaker 1: a guy that was NFL the most NFL ready college quarterback.
• 24:45
Speaker 1: Every year he tends to get a little bit better
• 24:47
Speaker 1: and better. He's a guy from Louisiana. He bleeds you know,
• 24:50
Speaker 1: the what is it, purple and goal, bleeds purple and gold.
• 24:54
Speaker 1: They go out, they get Byron Brown from from Kentucky,
• 24:56
Speaker 1: Nick Anderson from Oklahoma. They look at their defense, it
• 24:59
Speaker 1: was abysmal two years ago. Last year they get a
• 25:01
Speaker 1: little bit better now they finally got Wes Weeks back
• 25:05
Speaker 1: who had an ankle ankle injury.
• 25:08
Speaker 2: Brothers about them white linebackers. They got a couple of transfers.
• 25:11
Speaker 2: They got two d in transfers, one from Florida State
• 25:13
Speaker 2: at one from Florida. But the big one here is
• 25:15
Speaker 2: Harold Perkins. Harrold Perkins Junior. He's now wearing number seven
• 25:18
Speaker 2: for US. He's a cat that can roll around and
• 25:20
Speaker 2: cause cause crazy half. He tore his a c L
• 25:23
  Speaker 2: versus ul ul u c L A last year.
• 25:27
Speaker 1: This is the year that Brian Kelly has to get
• 25:29
Speaker 1: over the hump. We talked about it in our futures.
• 25:30
Speaker 1: How they are like sitting in that third fourth in
• 25:32
Speaker 1: Fandor's future about winning the SEC. Something's got to give
• 25:36
Speaker 1: Brian Kelly his personality and LSU's culture personality they don't
• 25:41
Speaker 1: necessarily mix. This is the year we're going to find
• 25:43
Speaker 1: out if he's the guy for the job. I think
• 25:45
Speaker 1: this year they flip the script. I think they go
• 25:47
Speaker 1: in to Clemson, they finally get that monkey off their
• 25:50
Speaker 1: back about winning or losing their first game. I liked
• 25:53
Speaker 1: Lsu here, I could. I mean the biggest question marked
• 25:57
Speaker 1: to me is is LSU's offensive one. They lose two
• 25:59
Speaker 1: guys to the draft. One guy goes forth over all
• 26:01
Speaker 1: their left tackle to the Patriots. But at the end
• 26:04
Speaker 1: of the day, I think the star power. I think
• 26:06
Speaker 1: that what they did the transfer portal. After Bryce Underwood
• 26:09
Speaker 1: de committed from LSU and went to Michigan, a lot
• 26:11
Speaker 1: of money started flying into LSU. We got to figure
• 26:13
Speaker 1: out the guys we're going to get. I think this
• 26:15
Speaker 1: is the year that LSU flips it.
• 26:18
Speaker 2: Deep breath, so give it like a Lee corsoism to him.
• 26:23
Speaker 3: Well, the first thing I will inform you is you
• 26:26
Speaker 3: mentioned Harold Perkins. Are you aware of what they're doing
• 26:29
  Speaker 3: positionally with him?
• 26:31
Speaker 2: He's like the honey Badger a little bit, right.
• 26:34
Speaker 3: Yeah. I accept that these twice his size and so
• 26:36
Speaker 3: they're playing him at like a star type position. So
• 26:39
Speaker 3: you may see Harold Perkins do some wild stuff this
• 26:42
Speaker 3: year and against Clemson you mentioned the offensive line. Completely
• 26:45
Speaker 3: agree with you. This is the fundamental disagreement I've had
• 26:48
Speaker 3: with LSU fans. I put him at eight and four,
• 26:51
Speaker 3: and you know, that's of course crazy, And I'm told
• 26:53
Speaker 3: that it's crazy because they portaled in a new secondary
• 26:56
Speaker 3: which I'll get to in a second. But their offensive
• 26:58
Speaker 3: line is going to be okay. Okay, If their offensive
• 26:59
Speaker 3: line's okay, we don't have to wait. They don't play
• 27:02
Speaker 3: three tune up games, so they're going into one of
• 27:04
Speaker 3: the toughest environments they'll play in all year. I don't
• 27:07
Speaker 3: believe they're settled yet, So to be very clear, my
• 27:10
Speaker 3: pick is based on the fact that I don't know
• 27:13
Speaker 3: that they'll have any semblance of balance Saturday night because
• 27:16
Speaker 3: they didn't run the ball well last year. Joe Brady
• 27:18
Speaker 3: actually loved the dude, but he is not called an
• 27:21
Speaker 3: offense where the rushing statistics were outside the one hundreds.
• 27:25
Speaker 3: And that's an unfair position to put Garrett Nusmeyer in.
• 27:28
Speaker 3: Like my whole question, I wrote it down this piece
• 27:29
Speaker 3: of paper, what is that less year require Garrett Nusmeyer
• 27:31
Speaker 3: to do? Because if they require him to perform well
• 27:34
Speaker 3: first and ten, second, five, third and two, and they
• 27:36
Speaker 3: stay on schedule, and he's looking to check down and
• 27:38
Speaker 3: he's got a complimentary tail backed tandem in the backfield
• 27:41
Speaker 3: and he's just asked to make good decisions.
• 27:44
Speaker 2: He can do that.
• 27:45
Speaker 3: What he can't do is third and seven all night,
• 27:47
Speaker 3: and that's what they ask him to do too much
• 27:49
Speaker 3: last year. So when I had I think twelve picks
• 27:51
Speaker 3: last year. So I look at that and I say,
• 27:54
Speaker 3: if I don't fully believe in the offensive line yet,
• 27:56
Speaker 3: and I do think Clemson's got NFL guys all three levels,
• 27:58
Speaker 3: ileank Clemson. The one hang up with Clemson is last
• 28:02
Speaker 3: year top twenty explosive offense. They had nine games where
• 28:06
Speaker 3: they had five plus explosive plays, but it didn't happen
• 28:09
Speaker 3: against the SEC teams. In the three games against SEC teams,
• 28:12
Speaker 3: they were fourteen to forty on third down. So if
• 28:15
Speaker 3: they get past that, if they're really improved, and they
• 28:18
Speaker 3: do got a wide receiver stable that I appreciate and
• 28:20
Speaker 3: I respect. If they do have that, I think over
• 28:24
Speaker 3: four quarters they affect Nusmier enough to where they force
• 28:27
Speaker 3: the mistakes that LSU has been so prone to in openers.
• 28:30
Speaker 3: Haven't won an opener period since twenty nineteen. I think
• 28:34
Speaker 3: that's going to continue here. So I'm taking Clemson actually
• 28:36
Speaker 3: lay in the three.
• 28:37
Speaker 2: And a half. I'm Clemson, I'm Clemson. You guys have
• 28:42
Speaker 2: talked about the O line. It's like they lose four
• 28:44
Speaker 2: guys on their offensive line last year. Wasn't that great
• 28:47
Speaker 2: of an old line. You got two guys that get drafted,
• 28:50
Speaker 2: and it's like, this is an old line. Last year
• 28:52
Speaker 2: the talent that they had that they should have been
• 28:54
Speaker 2: in a conversation for, like the Joe Moore Award type
• 28:56
Speaker 2: of talent. This year, you already mentioned the two guys, TJ.
• 29:00
Speaker 2: Parker and Peter Woods. Peter Woods is like a per
• 29:02
Speaker 2: job projected top ten pick as a d tackle. You
• 29:05
Speaker 2: got TJ. Parker first round protection coming off the edge,
• 29:09
Speaker 2: projection coming off the edge. And you look at LSU's line.
• 29:13
Speaker 2: They have two sophomores, a freshman, and two transfers going
• 29:18
Speaker 2: against a veteran group in Clemson. They got their returning
• 29:21
Speaker 2: basically everybody on offense. I like club Nick more than
• 29:24
Speaker 2: I do nes Meyer. I like Dabbo more than I
• 29:27
Speaker 2: do Brian Kelly. And it's like the difference difference with
• 29:30
Speaker 2: me of like is LSU gonna show up this year
• 29:33
Speaker 2: versus you know the formula is there for Clemson. It's
• 29:36
Speaker 2: like there's this saying, if you like something, you pick it.
• 29:38
Speaker 2: If you love something, you water it. I feel like
• 29:40
Speaker 2: at LSU they've been trying to fill holes with picking
• 29:43
Speaker 2: transfers and everything else. You look at Clemson, Dabbo, he
• 29:45
Speaker 2: was getting punished for it a couple of years back
• 29:47
Speaker 2: of not really utilizing the portal. He's grown his entire
• 29:50
Speaker 2: team and they bring back everybody this year. Yes, I
• 29:53
Speaker 2: think they're in a weak conference with the ACC, but
• 29:55
Speaker 2: I do think they beat teams like LSU. I think
• 29:58
Speaker 2: they're very good this year. I think Club It's gonna
• 30:00
Speaker 2: be really good this year. I like the talent that
• 30:02
Speaker 2: they have. You alluded to their wide receivers. They got
• 30:04
Speaker 2: it like a three headed monster. They have all the pieces.
• 30:07
Speaker 2: They have a very good defensive unit, and I think
• 30:10
Speaker 2: they I think they take Clemson or I think they
• 30:12
Speaker 2: take LSU down in Clemson. Your boys going Clemson Clemson.
• 30:18
Speaker 2: Think about the old line, bro, think about like you guys.
• 30:20
Speaker 1: I'm with the I wrote down on my Pace favor
• 30:22
Speaker 1: with the question mark is the offense line for sure
• 30:24
Speaker 1: to handle the veteran, veteran defensive line of Clemson.
• 30:26
Speaker 3: Imagine trying to figure that out on the road.
• 30:27
Speaker 2: And you just like you put yourself in them rooms
• 30:30
Speaker 2: like you're confident. You're trying to instill confidence, like maybe
• 30:33
Speaker 2: it's coming from one of the transfers. Maybe it's a
• 30:35
Speaker 2: second year sophomore guy that's trying to instill a little
• 30:37
Speaker 2: bit of confidence. But there's there's a couple in there
• 30:39
Speaker 2: that know the TJ. Parker, the d tackle that I
• 30:42
Speaker 2: alluded to, like those freaks of nature. You got Seemy
• 30:45
Speaker 2: Woods at the second level. Like they have elite type players,
• 30:49
Speaker 2: They're going to fuck up this young offensive line, especially
• 30:52
Speaker 2: I think in the second half. So that's why I
• 30:54
Speaker 2: got I just think the mentality there. The boys show
• 30:58
Speaker 2: up on Clemson. We interrupt this episode to bring you
• 31:01
Speaker 2: Form Energy. Form Energy delivers best in class taste with
• 31:05
Speaker 2: natural flavors and zero sugar. Form Energy has natural caffeine
• 31:09
Speaker 2: derived from Green Tea and then come in a variety
• 31:11
Speaker 2: of flavors. Your boys holding Screaming freedom right now, there's
• 31:14
Speaker 2: a Screaming Eagle roller coaster at the Saint Louis six
• 31:16
Speaker 2: Flags if you ever want to check it out. There's
• 31:18
Speaker 2: great smash, Blue Blitch, Orange Fury, and it's perfect for
• 31:21
Speaker 2: those who put in the work. Form Energy. We do
• 31:24
Speaker 2: the work. The boys do the work. This show does
• 31:27
Speaker 2: the work. Back to this episode Notre Dame at Miami
• 31:31
  Speaker 2: and Josh Lechev.
• 31:32
Speaker 3: The four Man. This is a Sunday night game, so
• 31:35
Speaker 3: it's standalone, so the whole world gets to see it.
• 31:37
Speaker 3: I think there's going to be a lot of focus
• 31:39
Speaker 3: on quarterback for both sides. Got Carson Beck, Like I
• 31:41
Speaker 3: always picture, a lot of people are going to watch this.
• 31:44
Speaker 3: Some people are just coming back to the college football table.
• 31:46
Speaker 3: They've been gone since January, and they're probably going to
• 31:49
Speaker 3: be surprised to learn Carson Beck plays from Miami. Now,
• 31:52
Speaker 3: you were asking me earlier today who we were talking
• 31:54
Speaker 3: about Nusmeyer, and you were saying, Hey, give me an
• 31:56
Speaker 3: example of a guy who was expected to just continue
• 31:58
Speaker 3: to elevate and at flat line. Carson Beck. That's a
• 32:01
Speaker 3: really good one. This time last year, he's sure off
• 32:03
Speaker 3: our first round pick, Heisman favorite at Georgia, favorite to
• 32:06
Speaker 3: win the national title. None of that happens. He's gone,
• 32:08
Speaker 3: So you got a good redemption story potentially set up here.
• 32:11
Speaker 3: He's got probably the best offensive coordinator in the ACC,
• 32:14
Speaker 3: I think, in Shannon Dawson, trying to replace their top
• 32:16
Speaker 3: half dozen pass catchers at Miami. So that's not how
• 32:21
Speaker 3: they win this game. The way they win this game
• 32:25
Speaker 3: is they have recruited and developed monsters on the offensive
• 32:28
Speaker 3: line for three years now. They've got multiple NFL guys
• 32:32
Speaker 3: across the front. I went down there to Washington practice
• 32:33
Speaker 3: last year. Everyone's talking about Francis Malgoa, and Mario says,
• 32:37
Speaker 3: look at the stude over here seventy it's Markel Bell.
• 32:40
Speaker 3: He came from Juco in Mississippi. He's like six eight
• 32:42
Speaker 3: three sixty at that point. He said, you'll know him
• 32:45
Speaker 3: next year, and sure enough, he's projected to be I
• 32:47
Speaker 3: think they're starting to left tackle this year. My point is,
• 32:51
Speaker 3: for all the attrition from fifty thousand feet, I'm looking
• 32:55
Speaker 3: specifically at Notre Dame's defensive front. If there's a solid
• 32:58
Speaker 3: edge that Miami has, which I think they do over
• 33:01
Speaker 3: four quarters, it is running between the tackles as tail
• 33:03
Speaker 3: as old as time, Mark Fletcher, Jordan Lyle specifically Fletcher,
• 33:08
Speaker 3: are a couple of guys at tailback that if Miami wins,
• 33:11
Speaker 3: that's the name you circle. That's the one that ended
• 33:13
Speaker 3: up being ridden for twenty five twenty six carries, two
• 33:16
Speaker 3: hundred and eight yards something like that. You think, man,
• 33:19
Speaker 3: that's against Notre Dame. Yeah, I know it's eye opening,
• 33:22
Speaker 3: but that's what's going to have to happen, because at
• 33:24
Speaker 3: that point, if you do that, I can more than
• 33:26
Speaker 3: trust Carson Beck to make good decisions complimentary to a
• 33:29
Speaker 3: ground game. He didn't have a ground game at Georgia
• 33:31
Speaker 3: last year. He didn't have guys catching the ball for
• 33:33
Speaker 3: him last year. So it's not like you forgot how
• 33:35
Speaker 3: to play the position. If he gets that, and then conversely,
• 33:38
Speaker 3: you've got a first time starter going on the road
• 33:41
Speaker 3: in CJ. Carr. I think Notre Dame's receiving room is
• 33:44
Speaker 3: incredibly underrated. I don't know that its potential will be
• 33:47
Speaker 3: reached here because the other thing about Miami's secondary is
• 33:50
Speaker 3: it sucked last year so bad that they completely overhauled it.
• 33:54
Speaker 3: Talked to someone down there last week. They said, we
• 33:57
Speaker 3: low key think this could be a strength of our
• 33:58
Speaker 3: team this year. You feel plenty good enough about it
• 34:01
Speaker 3: to go to war with it. I think Miami is
• 34:03
Speaker 3: going to win the game out right.
• 34:04
Speaker 2: But that's what a coach would tell you about the secondary. Luly,
• 34:06
Speaker 2: No coaches, you're not gonna walk to do a coach
• 34:08
  Speaker 2: all luckily.
• 34:08
  Speaker 3: Yeah, Lucky, you're right. That's why I don't talk to
• 34:11
  Speaker 3: coaches about it.
• 34:13
Speaker 1: So you like the idea of Miami having an overhaul
• 34:16
Speaker 1: of transfers into their secondary and be like, Okay, that's
• 34:18
Speaker 1: going to a jail. But you look at LSU and
• 34:19
Speaker 1: their transfer portal and how much they've done and you're like,
• 34:21
Speaker 1: I'm not so sold on that.
• 34:22
Speaker 3: Well, the difference is I'm looking at CJ. Carr trying
• 34:26
Speaker 3: to throw against Miami's guys on the road versus looking
• 34:30
Speaker 3: at Cade Club Nick throwing against LSU's guys at home.
• 34:33
Speaker 3: So there's a little different gap and experience level.
• 34:36
Speaker 2: There different gap. But CJ. Carr has been throwing against
• 34:38
Speaker 2: the number one pass defense in the country. Coming out
• 34:40
Speaker 2: of twenty twenty four. CJ. Car has been throwing against
• 34:43
Speaker 2: the number one defense when it comes to takeaways in
• 34:46
Speaker 2: twenty twenty four, I like, Notre Dame here, this is
• 34:49
Speaker 2: my iPad game. Oh wow, this is my iPad game
• 34:53
Speaker 2: because Miami. To me, you get excited about Miami because
• 34:56
Speaker 2: number one, it's Miami. You got the U, you got
• 34:58
Speaker 2: the documentaries that have come out, You've got a little
• 35:00
Speaker 2: better each year. But again, they were the number one
• 35:03
Speaker 2: offense in the country last year, but the majority of
• 35:05
Speaker 2: the a lot of that offense is now here in Nashville, Tennessee.
• 35:09
Speaker 2: With cam Ward and we think all of a sudden,
• 35:11
Speaker 2: Carson Beck is gonna be the guy that gets them
• 35:14
Speaker 2: over the hump. I agree with you. On the old line,
• 35:16
Speaker 2: they returned four out of their five guys. They got
• 35:18
Speaker 2: this this cat from what it homes community college. Markel Bell,
• 35:23
Speaker 2: Markel Bell. He's six nine, three forty unit, built like
• 35:27
Speaker 2: a submarine. But Miami's been the team. Miami's been the
• 35:31
Speaker 2: team where it's like, you know, you know how you
• 35:32
Speaker 2: got the the dog that barks at the gate, but
• 35:35
Speaker 2: the minute you step in the gate, they don't bite you.
• 35:37
  Speaker 3: Oh wow.
• 35:37
Speaker 2: I feel like that's what Miami has been because they
• 35:40
Speaker 2: have talent. I don't doubt that they're gonna have talent
• 35:42
Speaker 2: at the skill position. It's Miami. They're always gonna have talent.
• 35:45
Speaker 2: But I think when you you're when you compare both
• 35:48
Speaker 2: the offense of Miami compared to the offense of Notre Dame.
• 35:51
Speaker 2: What I also like about Notre Dame. What is something
• 35:53
Speaker 2: that they did really well and was top ten of
• 35:55
Speaker 2: the country last year running the football. They returned four
• 35:58
Speaker 2: guys that have started experience on that old line. The
• 36:02
Speaker 2: new face is at right guard, not on the edge,
• 36:04
  Speaker 2: not a tackle. It's a right guard and it's a freshman. Yeah,
• 36:07
Speaker 2: it's a freshman name Gerby Leonard. He's six This boy
• 36:11
Speaker 2: is six seven, three thirty five at right guard. Going
• 36:15
Speaker 2: on this offensive line that can run the football really well,
• 36:18
Speaker 2: and you already alluded to how good it and criminally
• 36:20
Speaker 2: underrated their wide receiver unit is. And you got your
• 36:23
Speaker 2: Heisman favorite Jeremiah Love running the ball of the backfield.
• 36:27
Speaker 2: And this is a steady operation. This isn't you know?
• 36:29
Speaker 2: We hit the portal. One of the fancy words that
• 36:32
Speaker 2: come out of every year now with all these different
• 36:34
Speaker 2: teams is we've revamped the room. We've overhauled the room.
• 36:38
Speaker 2: Not Notre Dame, this is These are top five recruiting
• 36:40
Speaker 2: classes year in and year out, because it starts with
• 36:42
Speaker 2: Marcus Freeman in the operation he's built since he got
• 36:45
Speaker 2: announced as a head coach in that weight room and
• 36:46
Speaker 2: everybody went absolutely berserk. Then you go on defense again,
• 36:50
Speaker 2: the number one pass defensive in the country last year,
• 36:53
Speaker 2: they returned five out of their seven. On the back end,
• 36:55
Speaker 2: you lose Xavier Woods, but is his name Jeremiah Moore.
• 37:01
Speaker 2: Jeremiah Moore, an up and comer cornerback who supposedly he
• 37:04
Speaker 2: set up to be the next star filling in for
• 37:06
Speaker 2: Javier Wooz who got drafted last year. But they were
• 37:09
Speaker 2: turned five out of their back seven. They were turned
• 37:11
Speaker 2: seven out of eleven of that elite defense that they
• 37:13
Speaker 2: had last year. They got guys up front. I agree
• 37:16
Speaker 2: with you when it comes to Miami's offensive line, but
• 37:18
Speaker 2: when you look at Carson Beck and the teams he
• 37:21
Speaker 2: played last year and when he performed, this is a
• 37:24
Speaker 2: guy who can turn the ball over. He's also a
• 37:26
Speaker 2: guy who can have a nice looking stat record. But
• 37:28
Speaker 2: when you look at who he played when he's playing Massachusetts,
• 37:32
Speaker 2: Tennessee Tech, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Tennessee was the one where
• 37:35
Speaker 2: he played against a solid defense eighteen touchdowns, zero interceptions.
• 37:39
Speaker 2: But when you're playing against quality defenses in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Ole,
• 37:44
Speaker 2: miss even Mississippi State, Kentucky, where he put up goose
• 37:46
Speaker 2: eggs across the board twelve touchdowns, eighteen turnovers, Carson Beck
• 37:50
Speaker 2: isn't even close to the player that Cam Mooreen is.
• 37:53
Speaker 2: And I think against an elite level pass defense that
• 37:55
Speaker 2: Notre Dame has, I like Notre Dame. I love Notre Dame.
• 37:59
Speaker 2: This is my iPad game this is the game I
• 38:02
Speaker 2: see as clear as day. I'm talking baptism under the water,
• 38:05
Speaker 2: give him a Rosary on the way home type of baptism.
• 38:07
Speaker 2: I love Notre Dame in this pig.
• 38:09
Speaker 1: There's not a whole lot you can more same more
• 38:11
Speaker 1: than that. I got some stuff that's pretty incredible. I
• 38:14
Speaker 1: think all the things he said about Carson back he
• 38:16
Speaker 1: did he lose the spring because he's a ucl the
• 38:18
Speaker 1: Tommy John's whatever that is. Their defense was a slow
• 38:22
Speaker 1: start and extremely inconsistent all last year. That's Miami. For
• 38:25
Speaker 1: you to think that they're going to be that much
• 38:26
Speaker 1: better is a little wild. I think when you look
• 38:29
Speaker 1: at Mike Denbrock, what does he want to do? He
• 38:30
Speaker 1: obviously knows he's going to have a strong run game
• 38:32
Speaker 1: for all the reasons you said, my heisman pig Jeremy Love.
• 38:35
Speaker 1: But you go and get a couple of wide receivers
• 38:37
Speaker 1: and then you have CJ. Carr sitting there, who's going
• 38:39
Speaker 1: against the best pass defense in all college football. He's
• 38:42
Speaker 1: the grandson of Lloyd Carr, legendary.
• 38:45
  Speaker 2: Michigan football coach.
• 38:47
  Speaker 3: He is.
• 38:48
Speaker 1: It's in his blood. He's done it day in and
• 38:50
Speaker 1: day out for his entire life. He is welcoming this opportunity.
• 38:54
Speaker 1: I think not only going to see a strong one
• 38:55
Speaker 1: game from there Dame, but I can see Denbrock getting
• 38:58
Speaker 1: the boys spread out a little bit love put him
• 39:00
Speaker 1: in the slot, have them in those third and manageable
• 39:03
Speaker 1: type of situations. And any time you want to be
• 39:06
Speaker 1: successful in football and you're going away to a place
• 39:09
Speaker 1: that can may or may not be allowed environment, you
• 39:13
Speaker 1: got to pack a defense. You gotta pack a run game.
• 39:15
Speaker 1: Those are the two things you got to put in
• 39:17
Speaker 1: your lunchbox. And those are the two things that Notre
• 39:18
  Speaker 1: Dame has the.
• 39:19
Speaker 2: Markets run game. And by the way, it was Leonard
• 39:22
Speaker 2: Moore for the for the Notre Dame Irish I other
• 39:24
  Speaker 2: tapping in.
• 39:27
Speaker 1: I like CJ Carr, I like c Do Carson back
• 39:29
Speaker 1: in this game. I think he's gonna have a deal.
• 39:31
  Speaker 3: That's a headline.
• 39:32
  Speaker 1: It's a headline. That's a headline, like we'll look at
• 39:36
Speaker 1: the look what's happening. All the stats you said about Georgia.
• 39:39
Speaker 1: He leaves Georgia for what reason sounds like because he
• 39:42
Speaker 1: got a little too in love. He didn't keep the
• 39:44
Speaker 1: main thing, the main thing and cash like you got
• 39:46
Speaker 1: money and he got girls. Two things that will take
• 39:49
Speaker 1: out your foundation from under right. He sits on a podium,
• 39:52
  Speaker 1: He's got a chain on him with a turtleneck. He's
• 39:54
Speaker 1: in Miami, like he he fits the mold of Miami
• 39:57
Speaker 1: a little bit more. He doesn't have the team to
• 39:59
  Speaker 1: back them up.
• 40:00
  Speaker 2: CJ.
• 40:00
Speaker 1: Carr's got better pieces around him. I think he's got
• 40:02
Speaker 1: a stronger coaching staff around him. He's gonna he's not
• 40:05
Speaker 1: only gonna have a hand the ball real well to love,
• 40:06
Speaker 1: but he's gonna get guys outside. He's gonna have a
• 40:09
Speaker 1: couple of nice plays.
• 40:10
  Speaker 4: To me.
• 40:10
Speaker 1: He'd go, Hey, this kid, who's this kid? And they're
• 40:13
Speaker 1: gonna wash the locker room and go, oh shit, I
• 40:14
Speaker 1: know he's the grants on the Lloyd Carr.
• 40:16
Speaker 2: Oh this kid he's got He's got to take care
• 40:18
Speaker 2: of the football. I trust that his arm is probably better.
• 40:20
Speaker 2: It's not it would be hard to beat Riley Leonard
• 40:22
Speaker 2: and throwing the ball around, but he's got to take
• 40:24
Speaker 2: care of the football and operate the same way like
• 40:26
Speaker 2: Riley did a very good job at that. I do
• 40:28
Speaker 2: want to challenge one thing on the defensive, the overhaul
• 40:32
Speaker 2: of U of mainly the secondary. They got six portal
• 40:35
Speaker 2: guys that came in that are playing defense on the
• 40:38
Speaker 2: back end. They're back five, they're five in the secondary.
• 40:41
Speaker 2: Four out of the five or transfers, and three out
• 40:44
Speaker 2: of those five in the secondary are also sophomores. So
• 40:47
  Speaker 2: I don't doubt that they're that. They're very athletic. They
• 40:50
Speaker 2: got some youth, which could be a positive, but they're
• 40:53
Speaker 2: also very inexperienced, and they're gonna be working together, you know,
• 40:56
Speaker 2: for the first time again the word overhaul and revamped.
• 40:59
Speaker 2: They might the talent level might be there, but I'm
• 41:02
Speaker 2: interested to see this unit perform again with a lot
• 41:04
Speaker 2: of new phases and a lot of youth.
• 41:06
Speaker 3: So you mentioned Beck last year, how's performance level didn't scale,
• 41:10
Speaker 3: which you were right about. Probably a lot to do
• 41:13
Speaker 3: with their O line getting caved at Georgia, which it
• 41:16
Speaker 3: did several times last year against your texases of the
• 41:19
Speaker 3: world and leading the league by a mile in drops.
• 41:23
Speaker 3: So I would counter with your Notre Dame run game.
• 41:26
Speaker 3: No one needs to sell me on Notre Dame's offensive line.
• 41:28
Speaker 3: I watched a million of them get hurt last year
• 41:30
Speaker 3: and performance level never drop. Just incredible job developing and coaching.
• 41:34
Speaker 3: I watched the tailbacks. No one needs to sell me
• 41:36
Speaker 3: on the tailbacks. I would tell you in the interest
• 41:39
Speaker 3: of exploring scalability of performance against the better teams. They
• 41:44
Speaker 3: played Ohio State, Georgia, Penn State last year and yards
• 41:46
Speaker 3: per carry dropped to four yards little under four yards
• 41:49
Speaker 3: per game. So if Miami is what I think they
• 41:53
Speaker 3: could be defensively, then maybe that ground game doesn't click,
• 41:56
Speaker 3: and maybe you got to lean on a guy who
• 41:57
Speaker 3: did not lock down the starting quarterback position about a
• 42:00
Speaker 3: week and a half ago in camp a little more
• 42:02
Speaker 3: than you thought you'd have to lean on him in
• 42:04
Speaker 3: week one. That's actually how I think the game is
• 42:05
Speaker 3: gonna go. That's why I lean Miami.
• 42:07
Speaker 1: I like you should about bow constricter. Miami be a
• 42:09
Speaker 1: little boull constrict on that run game a little bit.
• 42:12
  Speaker 2: It's gonna be a fun game. It's just if I'm
• 42:14
Speaker 2: thinking about where I'm gonna put my coin in the
• 42:16
Speaker 2: Fandels sportsbook. It's like you got crystal Ball, he's winning
• 42:18
Speaker 2: what five and seven, seven and five, ten and three?
• 42:21
Speaker 3: This is fair? The staff versus staffis.
• 42:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, Stafford. And then you got Freeman who's went what
• 42:25
Speaker 2: nine and four, ten and three? And then fourteen and two,
• 42:28
Speaker 2: coming off a national twer run like the operation over
• 42:31
Speaker 2: at Notre Dame, even though quarterback won a job a
• 42:34
Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago. Just feeling like how that culture
• 42:37
Speaker 2: is operating. And you mentioned the old line, like a
• 42:39
Speaker 2: lot of guys getting hurt the talent and not diminishing.
• 42:42
Speaker 2: This is a veteran group this year, and the crazy
• 42:44
Speaker 2: thing about the veteran group is nobody's a senior. So
• 42:46
Speaker 2: they they developed, they build that old line. It'll be
• 42:50
Speaker 2: fun though, It'll be fun. It'll be a fun game.
• 42:52
Speaker 3: So you're Miami, I am Notre Dame.
• 42:55
Speaker 2: Notre Dame. Love it all right?
• 42:56
Speaker 1: We run up this episode to bring you Boosting with
• 42:59
Speaker 1: the Boys. You don't already know, the Boys have a
• 43:01
Speaker 1: fifty percent profit boost tooking every college football Saturday. That's
• 43:04
Speaker 1: a fifty percent boost on any college football Saturday.
• 43:07
Speaker 2: Just open up the.
• 43:07
Speaker 1: FanDuel Sportsbook app this Saturday and look out for the
• 43:10
Speaker 1: Boost with the Boys PBT.
• 43:12
Speaker 2: Let's get back to this episode. Alabama Florida State. Alabama
• 43:16
Speaker 2: at Florida State. Alabama's favorite by thirteen and a half.
• 43:19
Speaker 2: The over under on points here is fifteen and a half.
• 43:22
Speaker 2: You have to stay on this one very long.
• 43:25
Speaker 3: So I assume everyone's going Bama. Yeah, are you going
• 43:27
Speaker 3: Bama to Is everyone going Bama to cover?
• 43:30
Speaker 2: That's my gut tells me yes. The thing that I'm
• 43:35
Speaker 2: curious about with Florida State because they just they dropped
• 43:38
Speaker 2: off last year, they did a massive overhaul. They thought
• 43:41
Speaker 2: they revamped the talent room and everything else. They're kind
• 43:43
Speaker 2: of doing the same thing this year. What I'm curious
• 43:46
Speaker 2: about Tony White, Terrence Knighton and there was another coach too,
• 43:52
Speaker 2: left Nebraska. They go to Florida State. I think believe
• 43:55
Speaker 2: the special teams there are still Yeah, always goes back
• 43:58
Speaker 2: to the special teams coordinated there John Papooches. What was
• 44:02
Speaker 2: Jean Papucha's doing in twenty twelve? What was he doing
• 44:04
Speaker 2: the defensive coordinator at the University of Nebraska? So I
• 44:07
Speaker 2: got some cats down there, or I'm curious how this
• 44:11
Speaker 2: Florida State team is gonna be. I feel like people
• 44:13
Speaker 2: got them out of absolutely everything. I think they're gonna
• 44:16
Speaker 2: be a lot better than people anticipate. But as far
• 44:19
Speaker 2: to answer the question on the thirteen and a half,
• 44:21
Speaker 2: am I confident enough to go Alabama thirteen and a
• 44:23
Speaker 2: half here. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it
• 44:27
Speaker 2: because of your monologue on Alabama last week and the
• 44:30
Speaker 2: talent and the depth, and I am a massive fan
• 44:32
Speaker 2: of Debor. I think ty Simpson's gonna be good and
• 44:35
Speaker 2: they got freaks everywhere. I think they're poised and pissed
• 44:39
Speaker 2: off and ready to go coming out of this year
• 44:41
Speaker 2: because you end the season losing the Michigan last year.
• 44:44
Speaker 2: And again, I think it's just the mentality is gonna
• 44:47
Speaker 2: be coming out of the gate set in the tone
• 44:48
Speaker 2: because they're not in a position of people have them
• 44:51
Speaker 2: as favorites everywhere like for the season, but I don't
• 44:53
Speaker 2: think they do in the building. And I think they're
• 44:55
Speaker 2: gonna be looking to prove a point coming out against
• 44:58
Speaker 2: Florida State. So I'm gonna take a minus to a
• 45:00
Speaker 2: teen and a half. But I'm very curious to see
• 45:02
Speaker 2: how Tony White turns around the defense because he can
• 45:03
  Speaker 2: do it fast.
• 45:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, Alabama, when we went there for the spring practices,
• 45:09
Speaker 1: they were talking about how much more relaxed Calen Debor
• 45:11
Speaker 1: was compared to compared to the next game. And you
• 45:13
Speaker 1: can see there all their shoulders a kind of out.
• 45:14
Speaker 1: There's music being played here, allowed to keep your shirt untucked.
• 45:17
Speaker 1: There was a whole lot of a lot of looseness.
• 45:19
Speaker 1: It's kind of like one of you give an inch,
• 45:21
Speaker 1: they take a mile.
• 45:21
Speaker 2: Ye. I mean last year, lad, this is last year.
• 45:23
Speaker 2: This is last year.
• 45:24
Speaker 1: This year I think they have they have that chip
• 45:26
Speaker 1: on their shoulder. The way they ended the season. It's
• 45:28
Speaker 1: not it's not what they want. You look at Florida State.
• 45:30
Speaker 1: Florida State twenty twenty three, they go thirteen and no,
• 45:32
Speaker 1: they end up not making the playoffcause their quarterback breaks
• 45:34
  Speaker 1: his leg.
• 45:34
Speaker 2: They take them out.
• 45:35
Speaker 1: They're real mat They have a lot of guys transfers,
• 45:37
Speaker 1: so they bring a lot of new players in. It's
• 45:39
Speaker 1: a whole new roster. In twenty twenty four they go
• 45:41
Speaker 1: to and ten. The next year, same thing has kind
• 45:44
Speaker 1: of happened. There's been twenty three transfers that have come
• 45:47
Speaker 1: into into Florida State. One of those transfers is Tommy Gasilanos. Gacianos.
• 45:54
Speaker 1: I don't know, it sounds like gonna stick with stick
• 45:55
Speaker 1: with Casianos. Casianos Boston College. He was at Boston College
• 46:01
Speaker 1: with Bill O'Brien. They wanted to run the PROS style offense.
• 46:03
Speaker 1: This kid's more of a backyard football type of guy
• 46:05
Speaker 1: who wants to run around a lot. A Malson guy, Yeah,
• 46:08
Speaker 1: a Mauason guy exactly. He gets benched at Boston College,
• 46:12
Speaker 1: ends up transferring to Florida State. And if you have
• 46:15
Speaker 1: so many pieces, you have twenty three new pieces across
• 46:18
Speaker 1: your team. Malzon who is a guy who wants it.
• 46:21
Speaker 1: He wants to play a little backyard football. He wants
• 46:23
Speaker 1: to call a game like that. They're not going to
• 46:25
Speaker 1: have the jilling points of this earlier. I think Alabama
• 46:27
Speaker 1: is a stronger team from a talent standpoint. They have
• 46:29
Speaker 1: more continuity. They have the same feeling of what they
• 46:32
Speaker 1: had last year, being like obviously that wasn't up to
• 46:34
Speaker 1: the Alabama standard. They lost as many games that last
• 46:38
Speaker 1: year as they did in Nick Saban's first year. What
• 46:40
Speaker 1: happened to Nick Sabans second year? They go to the
• 46:41
Speaker 1: National Championship Game. So I expect to see a big
• 46:44
Speaker 1: turnaround from Alabama being just clear and concise, you know,
• 46:48
Speaker 1: on special teams, offense and defense. I think they cover
• 46:52
  Speaker 1: this game. I don't think it's close.
• 46:54
Speaker 3: I agree with you. I agree with you. What I
• 46:55
Speaker 3: like to do on our show when there's a favorite
• 46:57
Speaker 3: of double digits and everyone's on one side at least,
• 47:01
Speaker 3: ask could the upset happen? Is there an outside like
• 47:05
Speaker 3: greater than five percent chance it could happen? I would say, yeah,
• 47:07
Speaker 3: line's thirteen and a half at FanDuel upset could happen.
• 47:10
Speaker 3: Vandy happened last year, so an upset could happen. My
• 47:13
Speaker 3: question is always, aright, how would that happen? If you
• 47:16
Speaker 3: were to turn this game on and it was a
• 47:17
Speaker 3: dog fight in the fourth quarter. Probably what has happened
• 47:20
Speaker 3: is Florida State has duplicated the Vandy plan. The Vandy
• 47:24
Speaker 3: plan was finding out early Obama struggling with a mobile quarterback.
• 47:28
Speaker 3: Bama's struggling with option stuff. We went twelve of eighteen
• 47:32
Speaker 3: against them on third down. Wow, if we stay on
• 47:35
Speaker 3: the field, they can't have the ball. Malzon knows Alabama
• 47:39
Speaker 3: intimately got a long history with him. Caine Womack, who
• 47:42
Speaker 3: is Bama's DC, coached for Malzon in high school up
• 47:46
Speaker 3: in Arkansas. So I think if Castianos, who is the
• 47:49
Speaker 3: transfer here, talked a lot in the summer, if he
• 47:52
Speaker 3: just throws caution to the win, and frankly, I think
• 47:54
Speaker 3: they're going to ask him to do some stuff Saturday
• 47:57
Speaker 3: that you can't ask a guy to do every week
• 47:58
Speaker 3: because he's going to get beat to death. But in
• 48:01
Speaker 3: a one game scenario, like you talked off Spring and summer,
• 48:04
Speaker 3: everywhere there was a microphone, he talked. If I'm malsan,
• 48:07
Speaker 3: I look at him and I say, did you mean it?
• 48:09
Speaker 3: He's gonna say yeah, And I'm going to look back
• 48:11
Speaker 3: at him and say, all right, well, I need you
• 48:13
Speaker 3: to put your face really, really really in the fan Saturday,
• 48:15
Speaker 3: because that's the only shot we got. If that kind
• 48:18
Speaker 3: of stuff happens, If anything like the Vandy mobile quarterback
• 48:21
Speaker 3: giving Bama trouble, huge conversion rate on third down type
• 48:25
Speaker 3: thing happens, and Bama struggles with turnovers on the road
• 48:28
Speaker 3: like they did last year, struggles with penalties on the
• 48:31
Speaker 3: road like they did last year. They were very schizophrenic
• 48:34
Speaker 3: on the road last year. If that's still a problem
• 48:37
Speaker 3: for him, I don't think it will be. But if
• 48:38
  Speaker 3: that's still a problem for him, that's how it's close.
• 48:41
Speaker 3: It took me a long time to say that the
• 48:43
Speaker 3: path for Alabama is you line up and you realize
• 48:46
Speaker 3: we're that much better than them, and you lean on them,
• 48:48
Speaker 3: and you offensively stay on schedule, take the crowd out
• 48:51
Speaker 3: of it. Play action games work in run games work,
• 48:53
Speaker 3: and get a lot of wide receivers involved. Early secondary smothers.
• 48:57
Speaker 3: Florida State makes them go on ten play drives score,
• 49:00
Speaker 3: which they probably can't do. There's just so many more
• 49:03
Speaker 3: ways where Bama's fourteen plus point winners here than I
• 49:06
Speaker 3: think Florida State covering. So I like Bama to win
• 49:08
  Speaker 3: it cover.
• 49:08
Speaker 1: The example you gave of how Alabama can lose is
• 49:11
Speaker 1: the reason why I think.
• 49:12
Speaker 2: That they're not gonna lik They're aware of it. They're aware, right.
• 49:15
Speaker 1: They go on to Vanda last year Nick Saban right
• 49:17
Speaker 1: there is like he says on a college game day,
• 49:20
Speaker 1: the only place that's not hard to play in the
• 49:21
Speaker 1: SEC is Vanderbilt. They hear, they take it personal. Pavia
• 49:24
Speaker 1: does what Pavia can do, and so now they're no.
• 49:28
Speaker 1: Florida State's looking at it being like this is how
• 49:31
Speaker 1: you beat Alabama, and Alabama is already identified, like this
• 49:34
Speaker 1: is our weak spots and this is how we.
• 49:35
Speaker 2: Can fix it. I don't think this game is close. Yeah,
• 49:37
Speaker 2: I think if you have the fan duel app open, Josh,
• 49:39
Speaker 2: this is why you're great. I just want to tell you,
• 49:41
Speaker 2: I want to give you a compliment. I appreciate it.
• 49:44
Speaker 2: If I had the Fan Duel sportsbook open and I
• 49:47
Speaker 2: listen to what you just said about how Florida State
• 49:50
Speaker 2: can make this game interesting in the fourth quarter, and
• 49:52
Speaker 2: I paused it, like as a guy, and I know
• 49:54
Speaker 2: there's plenty of brains out there that will latch on
• 49:57
Speaker 2: any type of optimism. You could have easily sold on
• 50:00
Speaker 2: why Florida State would cover and potentially win this game.
• 50:03
  Speaker 2: I think that's a great I think that's a great
• 50:07
Speaker 2: thing that you do, is you're able to talk about
• 50:08
Speaker 2: the other side and I'm like, yeah, he's making some
• 50:11
Speaker 2: good points here, like maybe I do get a little
• 50:13
Speaker 2: spicy and go Florida State plus thirteen and a half.
• 50:17
Speaker 2: I'm not going to No, we're not going to just
• 50:19
Speaker 2: the tip of the cat to where you had me
• 50:20
Speaker 2: for a moment here he could.
• 50:22
Speaker 3: Be dropped the yeah butt on him.
• 50:25
Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, Pava twelve to eighteen spicy quarterback that
• 50:31
Speaker 2: you're like, you just line up and say we're better
• 50:33
Speaker 2: than you. I'm like that's a good point too.
• 50:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, all those stats and then it's like they are
• 50:37
Speaker 1: just better than them.
• 50:38
Speaker 3: It's like, well, the problem is what you said about
• 50:40
Speaker 3: Miami Secondary. Florida State's trying to do with virtually their
• 50:43
Speaker 3: whole team right against Alabama, right.
• 50:46
Speaker 2: I truly I am. I am excited to see how
• 50:49
Speaker 2: Tony White does with that. It's the three three five.
• 50:52
Speaker 1: Ye JP Hovey Game of the Week, Virginia Tech versus
• 50:57
  Speaker 1: South Carolina.
• 50:58
Speaker 2: This game is in Atlanta.
• 51:00
Speaker 1: You got Shane Biemer, the head coach of South Carolina.
• 51:03
Speaker 1: His father, Frank Biemer, like legendary head coach at Virginia Tech.
• 51:07
Speaker 1: They're probably sitting there having a couple of conversations. I'm
• 51:09
Speaker 1: sure his dad's Hey, I'm rooting.
• 51:10
  Speaker 2: For a cent I want it. But there's a piece
• 51:12
Speaker 2: of theem where it's like, hey, this is a win
• 51:13
  Speaker 2: win for me.
• 51:13
Speaker 1: In a lot of ways, this is a win win
• 51:16
Speaker 1: Virginia Tech. Brent pryor on or Brent probably they haven't
• 51:18
Speaker 1: finished in the top twenty five since what the early nineties,
• 51:21
Speaker 1: since I was in diapers, Like they haven't You said, no, No,
• 51:28
Speaker 1: Brent Pryye his stint every year he's been the head coach,
• 51:31
Speaker 1: they have not finished in the top twenty five. That
• 51:33
Speaker 1: has not happened since I was in diapers. I'm glad
• 51:37
Speaker 1: I got an opportunity to land that plane a little bit.
• 51:39
Speaker 1: But you look at South Carolina every year JP and
• 51:41
Speaker 1: I talked about on the phone. They start slow. They
• 51:44
Speaker 1: have the tools, they have the pieces. They got this kid,
• 51:48
Speaker 1: Rasoul Faison, who up until three days ago they didn't
• 51:51
Speaker 1: know if he was going to be eligible. They had
• 51:52
Speaker 1: the same situation as Diego Pavia. Does the junior count?
• 51:55
Speaker 1: Does the community collegs think count? Does it not count?
• 51:58
Speaker 1: He's at Houston Utah State. He runs for thirteen hundred yards.
• 52:00
Speaker 1: Nick Harbor, who was you know, all world everything on
• 52:03
Speaker 1: college football twenty five because he was a ninety nine speed,
• 52:05
Speaker 1: had a lot of uncharacteristic drops, couldn't run the whole
• 52:08
Speaker 1: entire route tree. He decides, I'm not going to do
• 52:10
Speaker 1: track and field during the spring anymore. I'm gonna hang
• 52:13
Speaker 1: up my track cleats, put my football cleats back on,
• 52:15
Speaker 1: and start refining my game a little bit. Lenora Sellers.
• 52:18
Speaker 1: A lot of people are high on it, including yourself.
• 52:20
Speaker 1: I believe is that your heisman.
• 52:21
Speaker 3: Guy that is right there along with my tier?
• 52:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah for guy.
• 52:25
Speaker 1: I blocked out when he said matterier because I was
• 52:26
Speaker 1: so upset about that. I think this is a game
• 52:32
Speaker 1: that every year South Carolina fans get upset about because
• 52:35
Speaker 1: they don't find a way to like step on their throat,
• 52:38
Speaker 1: and this is the perfect game for them to sit
• 52:40
Speaker 1: in a neutral site location. The head coach of South Carolina,
• 52:44
Speaker 1: his dad was the coach of the other team, and
• 52:46
Speaker 1: he's alleged he's probably got a statue out there in
• 52:48
Speaker 1: Virginia Tech. This is the game that South Carolina finally says,
• 52:51
Speaker 1: we're here, We're going to put these pieces together. Every year,
• 52:53
Speaker 1: South Carolina has players Like every time I got to
• 52:55
Speaker 1: sit around JP during the football season, it's like, oh,
• 52:58
Speaker 1: this guy plays South Carolina that play and you're like,
• 53:00
Speaker 1: it's pretty incredible. How much without the success from a
• 53:04
Speaker 1: team standpoint. Shane Beemer is a guy, man, He's a guy.
• 53:07
Speaker 1: I think he takes the next step. I think they
• 53:09
Speaker 1: put their throat on Virginia Tick in this game, put
• 53:11
Speaker 1: their throat on them.
• 53:13
Speaker 2: I was looking at my and just to put out
• 53:15
Speaker 2: there too with FanDuel Uh, South Carolina is favored by
• 53:18
Speaker 2: seven and a half.
• 53:19
Speaker 3: Seven and a half. I think it's a total sucker number.
• 53:22
Speaker 3: That's what I think it is I looked at my
• 53:24
Speaker 3: own numbers last night. My own numbers do not agree
• 53:27
Speaker 3: with what I'm about to say. Like the model I
• 53:29
Speaker 3: use that we built that's been so profitable for us
• 53:32
Speaker 3: over the years, screams Virginia Tech plus the points. I
• 53:35
Speaker 3: just think it's wrong. I think what screamed? Screamed it
• 53:38
Speaker 3: screamed it. The model spits out South Carolina minus five,
• 53:41
Speaker 3: which differential two and a half points crossing a key
• 53:43
Speaker 3: number at seven is a really really big it's a
• 53:45
  Speaker 3: really big.
• 53:46
Speaker 2: I listen, I consume you show your show, Josh, like
• 53:48
Speaker 2: it might be like one off, never that many two
• 53:51
Speaker 2: and a half points swing.
• 53:52
Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's okay because the model's been wrong. It
• 53:55
Speaker 3: had Oklahoma number twelve last year, Like how did that
• 53:57
  Speaker 3: work out?
• 53:58
Speaker 2: Like this out there in Holy shit?
• 54:01
Speaker 3: So every year Week one especially, there's a number out
• 54:05
Speaker 3: there where it's seven and a half. This is also
• 54:09
Speaker 3: Cincinnati only six and a half. Why is Nebraska only
• 54:13
Speaker 3: favored by six and a half. You either trust your
• 54:16
Speaker 3: preparation and you trust your knowledge of the teams, or
• 54:19
Speaker 3: you don't. You can't let the board override what you've
• 54:23
Speaker 3: invested six months of your life into learning what I've
• 54:26
Speaker 3: learned with South Carolina and specifically with this matchup, is
• 54:29
Speaker 3: Virginia Tech got gutted by the portal. First thing, Okay,
• 54:33
Speaker 3: kiraen Drome's big body of quarterback, he can run. I
• 54:36
Speaker 3: think their tailback room is probably underrated. And I think
• 54:39
Speaker 3: they look at South Carolina's front and they look at
• 54:41
Speaker 3: Dylan Stewart like man, Dylan Stewart's a stud could be
• 54:44
Speaker 3: a net liability in run defense. That's what separates him
• 54:48
Speaker 3: and maybe a Colin Simmons. Colin Simmons is a plus
• 54:51
Speaker 3: run defender at Texas, whereas Dylan Stewart maybe that's a
• 54:53
Speaker 3: little bit of a liability. Here's the problem. That's where
• 54:56
Speaker 3: my optimism ends with matchup wise, what could lean Virginia Tech.
• 55:02
Speaker 3: I know everyone thinks Leonora Sellers is really good. Most
• 55:05
Speaker 3: people think he's great. I truly don't know how many
• 55:08
Speaker 3: people have popped on tape of him last year or
• 55:11
Speaker 3: not tape. Just go watch games, go watch YouTube clips
• 55:14
Speaker 3: to remember how insanely good he is, Like he took
• 55:17
Speaker 3: over the Clemson game and against this defense, especially if
• 55:21
Speaker 3: there's wide receiver talent, which JP's vouching for above, just
• 55:25
Speaker 3: that of Nick Harbor, Nickel de why above just that
• 55:27
Speaker 3: of Nick Harbor. If they've got that, if they've got
• 55:30
Speaker 3: Fason eligible. Now there are so many things to me
• 55:34
Speaker 3: that scream South Carolina that I told you before we
• 55:37
Speaker 3: hit record. I'm not looking at it saying, oh, they
• 55:39
Speaker 3: got to cover seven and a half. I'm looking at
• 55:42
Speaker 3: it saying I can't believe I get South Carolina only
• 55:44
Speaker 3: lay in single digits because I think they're gonna win
• 55:47
Speaker 3: by double digits. So I'm taking South Carolina to win
• 55:49
Speaker 3: and cover to feel good.
• 55:51
  Speaker 2: JP.
• 55:51
Speaker 3: What you said is gonna happen. What you said, the
• 55:53
Speaker 3: foot on the throat, they don't do it. The old
• 55:55
Speaker 3: Dominion game is still fresh in everyone's mind. You just
• 55:58
Speaker 3: sneak by teams the Bama game, you let it get away.
• 56:02
Speaker 3: Referee stole the LSU game from you last year. None
• 56:05
Speaker 3: of that happens if you don't leave the game in doubt.
• 56:07
Speaker 3: I don't think South Carolina's gonna leave the game in doubt,
• 56:09
Speaker 3: so I'll take him to win a cover.
• 56:10
Speaker 2: Yeah. I agree with all that. I agree with you boys.
• 56:13
Speaker 2: The one thing I have a disagreement with is it's
• 56:16
Speaker 2: feeling like a win win for Shane Biemer because you
• 56:19
Speaker 2: watch the any given Saturday documentary of the SEC and
• 56:22
Speaker 2: you sit there and watch Shane in his body language
• 56:24
Speaker 2: and the words that he's saying about like he wants
• 56:27
Speaker 2: to carve his own way outside of his dad's name.
• 56:29
Speaker 2: Because Shane, he's a Virginia Tech graduate, a hokey letterman,
• 56:33
Speaker 2: the son of Frank Biemer. As we all know, this
• 56:35
Speaker 2: game hasn't happened in thirty three years. Frank Beamer coach
• 56:39
Speaker 2: him in nineteen ninety one when they lost to South
• 56:41
Speaker 2: Carolina twenty eight to twenty one. It was Frank Biemer's
• 56:44
Speaker 2: fifth year as a head coach. This is now Shane's
• 56:46
Speaker 2: fifth year as a head coach. And I like to me,
• 56:49
Speaker 2: when you look at South Carolina, this is a team
• 56:52
Speaker 2: we gotta remember. This is a team nobody wanted to
• 56:55
Speaker 2: see at the end of the year last year. My
• 56:57
Speaker 2: question is because again they got a lot of new faces,
• 57:00
Speaker 2: My question is, what's the team gonna be beyond Leonora
• 57:03
Speaker 2: Sellers and Dylan Stewart, Because outside of them, you have
• 57:09
Speaker 2: two of the best players in the country. But who's
• 57:11
Speaker 2: gonna step up in those other rules? South Carolina is
• 57:15
Speaker 2: a team that you're not talking about when you hear
• 57:16
Speaker 2: the word revamped and overall and everything else. I think
• 57:19
Speaker 2: South Carolina coach Beemer has a good track record of
• 57:22
Speaker 2: developing transfers when they get on campus. Kyle Canard is
• 57:25
Speaker 2: a great example. Is it Demetrius JP Demetris Davis, Demetrius
• 57:30
Speaker 2: Knight linebacker? Last year? Those guys are two puzzle pieces
• 57:34
Speaker 2: that developed as transfers. Kyle Canard was fifteen and a
• 57:37
Speaker 2: half tackles for loss, eleven and a half sacks, three
• 57:40
Speaker 2: forced fumbles. And that's because Dylan Stewart is a freak
• 57:43
Speaker 2: and he's gonna get all the attention. Who's gonna step
• 57:45
Speaker 2: up this year? Is it gonna beat Brian Thomas Jr.
• 57:48
Speaker 2: On the other side? The dtackled transfer out to Alabama,
• 57:51
Speaker 2: his name is Minkel Goodwin. Is he gonna step up
• 57:55
Speaker 2: because he's got a lot of hyper coming out of
• 57:57
Speaker 2: training camp? But who's gonna step up when Dylan Stewart's
• 58:00
Speaker 2: taking on all the attention? And then Leonora Sellers he's
• 58:03
Speaker 2: a freak. He's one of the best, if not the best.
• 58:06
Speaker 2: He is my Heisman pick to win it this year.
• 58:08
Speaker 2: I like South Carolina. I think they build on the secondary.
• 58:11
Speaker 2: They were strong last year and secondary. I think they're
• 58:12
Speaker 2: gonna play aggressive. I think they wonte Virginia Tech. I
• 58:15
Speaker 2: hate that Virginia Tech has fallen the way that they
• 58:18
Speaker 2: have because in the two thousands with Frank Biemer I
• 58:21
Speaker 2: mean you can give him Frank Biemer in a block punt.
• 58:23
Speaker 2: In this game, South Carolina is still gonna win. But
• 58:26
Speaker 2: the way that the VT Tech logo has just kind
• 58:28
Speaker 2: of fallen, I hate it. This would this would have
• 58:30
Speaker 2: been a game that South Carolina back in the day
• 58:33
Speaker 2: would be circling. Oh, we got to get this team now.
• 58:35
Speaker 2: I think it's a smiley face. So I got South Carolina.
• 58:38
Speaker 2: I got it. Building the rest of the week, I
• 58:40
Speaker 2: got a minus seven and a half. I like South Carolina.
• 58:43
Speaker 2: I'm excited to see who's gonna step up on the
• 58:45
Speaker 2: defensive side. Along with Dylan Stewart, Well said, we're all
• 58:52
Speaker 2: South Carolina. We're all South Carolina.
• 58:54
Speaker 3: So everybody out there trying to fade the boys. People
• 58:56
Speaker 3: are gonna say, say curse the curse. People are gonna
• 58:58
Speaker 3: say fade. People are gonna look at that and say
• 59:00
Speaker 3: that that's a square bet. You're laying seven and a half.
• 59:02
Speaker 3: They got you across the key number. You're going with
• 59:04
Speaker 3: the big SEC brand, and I just think you're overthinking
• 59:07
Speaker 3: the room if you look at it that way. It's
• 59:09
Speaker 3: so fundamental South Carolina. Is that much talk about Virginia Tech?
• 59:13
Speaker 3: All the transfers, seven starters transferred out, they switched, they hired,
• 59:18
Speaker 3: or they fired and hired two new coordinators. I like,
• 59:21
Speaker 3: I pray is that his name?
• 59:23
Speaker 2: Yeah? I think he's on the hot seat. But I
• 59:26
Speaker 2: don't see how this ends well at all for Virginia Tech,
• 59:28
Speaker 2: especially neutral site, like this is.
• 59:30
Speaker 1: All right right up this episode to bring you michelob Ultra,
• 59:32
Speaker 1: brought to you by Michel Bulcher, a superior light beer.
• 59:35
Speaker 1: The delicious taste of victory deserves something equally superior. Cheer
• 59:39
Speaker 1: Cheer on your new team with michelob Ultra. At two
• 59:41
Speaker 1: point six carbs and ninety five calories, it's a superior,
• 59:44
Speaker 1: smooth taste worth playing for mikeelob Ultra superior light beer.
• 59:49
Speaker 1: But you brought up something that is like it is
• 59:51
Speaker 1: a big deal on I think does play a lot
• 59:52
  Speaker 1: of biases.
• 59:52
Speaker 2: The SEC logo with the SC.
• 59:54
Speaker 1: Logo versus the ACC logo. It's like, oh, you just
• 59:57
Speaker 1: assume that the SEC is gonna win. Every single time
• 1:00:00
Speaker 1: I had trouble with this game Auburn, Auburn at Baylor
• 1:00:03
Speaker 1: because you got Hugh Freeze, who's on the hot seat
• 1:00:06
Speaker 1: right now. You got Jackson Arnold, I'm with you, bro,
• 1:00:09
Speaker 1: who gets laughed out of Oklahoma, and every like every
• 1:00:12
Speaker 1: when I went to google Jackson Arnold, what's going on
• 1:00:15
Speaker 1: with him? It's like everything is about what's his confidence?
• 1:00:17
Speaker 1: Like how he is going to get back. We've seen
• 1:00:18
Speaker 1: the highest of hies and the lowest of lows, like
• 1:00:20
Speaker 1: what is this guy going to be? And then you
• 1:00:22
Speaker 1: got a head coach who's probably has a piece of
• 1:00:24
Speaker 1: anxiety himself where he's got to go see his therapist.
• 1:00:26
Speaker 1: He's got to sit down there across and say I'm
• 1:00:28
Speaker 1: having a tough time too because everyone's saying, get me
• 1:00:29
Speaker 1: the hell out of Auburn. So it's and then you
• 1:00:32
Speaker 1: look at them and it's like, yeah, they have a
• 1:00:33
Speaker 1: they have a running back storyer Robinson, he can win
• 1:00:35
Speaker 1: the ball a little bit. They have an underrated Bryson
• 1:00:38
Speaker 1: Washington who rushed over one thousand yards last year, and Baylor,
• 1:00:41
Speaker 1: like you see kind of how Baylor can win the game.
• 1:00:43
Speaker 1: And that's keeping it in third and manageable running the.
• 1:00:45
Speaker 2: Ball being successful that way using the RPO blackout in Waco.
• 1:00:51
Speaker 1: But then you got Auburn who has an outstanding wide
• 1:00:54
Speaker 1: receiver room. You have a guy who has an extremely
• 1:00:56
Speaker 1: high ceiling that had extremely low lows at the quarterback position,
• 1:01:00
Speaker 1: and a coach that's like, you know, is he confident himself?
• 1:01:03
Speaker 1: So you're dealing with like confidence issues. I think me personally,
• 1:01:07
Speaker 1: and I love to get more like a dollar in
• 1:01:09
Speaker 1: opinion of what you think. But like when I look
• 1:01:11
Speaker 1: at Auburn, I think the game is what are your top.
• 1:01:15
Speaker 2: Fifteen plays look like?
• 1:01:16
Speaker 1: Because you have an extremely good wide receiver room, You've
• 1:01:19
Speaker 1: got a good defense or do you have starters coming
• 1:01:21
Speaker 1: back in all areas defense? Line, linebacker and your secondary?
• 1:01:25
Speaker 1: Your wide receiver room is really impressive. Can you get
• 1:01:28
Speaker 1: Jackson r All to start develop a little in game
• 1:01:30
Speaker 1: confidence very very early, and that's with high percentage throws.
• 1:01:34
Speaker 1: That's your bubbles, that's your checkdowns. And then you got
• 1:01:36
Speaker 1: Coleman on the outside, maybe that fourth, fifth or sixth play,
• 1:01:39
Speaker 1: you go and throw a vert and just see if
• 1:01:41
Speaker 1: you can get him a back shoulder, just to feel
• 1:01:43
Speaker 1: out that confidence. Because if Jackson can get confident. I
• 1:01:46
Speaker 1: can see Auburn running away with this thing, but I
• 1:01:49
Speaker 1: can also see Baylor controlling the clock, playing good defense.
• 1:01:53
Speaker 2: And really they return a lot of production from last year,
• 1:01:55
Speaker 2: a lot of guys like Soldier Robertson, swry. Robertson's kind
• 1:01:59
Speaker 2: of nasty. I love the head coach. What's remind me
• 1:02:01
  Speaker 2: of his name?
• 1:02:02
  Speaker 3: Dave Randa.
• 1:02:03
Speaker 2: I love Dave Randa. Him going on the press conference
• 1:02:05
Speaker 2: last year talking about the scene from Wolf of Wall Street.
• 1:02:09
Speaker 2: You know what I'm talking about.
• 1:02:10
Speaker 3: Beautiful, beautiful moment in American history, not Baylor.
• 1:02:14
Speaker 2: History, in American history. Just comparing recruiting to throwing midgets
• 1:02:18
  Speaker 2: on the wall.
• 1:02:20
Speaker 3: Uh, they didn't even go little people.
• 1:02:21
Speaker 2: Didn't even go little people midget. I didn't see the clip.
• 1:02:26
Speaker 2: So kind of fires me up though. Make him feel
• 1:02:29
Speaker 2: like they belong and they don't want you thinking you're
• 1:02:30
Speaker 2: laughing at him. He's like, that's kind of you know,
• 1:02:32
  Speaker 2: that's that's recruiting.
• 1:02:33
Speaker 1: I got pasting in the back. He's got to cut
• 1:02:35
Speaker 1: off Baylor Bear Baylor. What was it we pair of players.
• 1:02:39
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's got he's got the It's just like
• 1:02:43
Speaker 1: I want to go Baylor for shirm, but I just
• 1:02:48
Speaker 1: feel like it's Auburn.
• 1:02:50
Speaker 2: Like it's Auburn. I'll let you go because I know
• 1:02:54
Speaker 2: you got a solid little breakdown to Auburn and how
• 1:02:56
Speaker 2: this game could play out.
• 1:02:58
Speaker 3: I Uh, when I looked at in the spring, you
• 1:03:00
Speaker 3: know how you know what the games are going to
• 1:03:01
Speaker 3: be week one and you know you haven't broken the
• 1:03:04
Speaker 3: game down, but you just think I'm probably going to
• 1:03:06
Speaker 3: go Baylor in that one. That's what I thought in
• 1:03:08
Speaker 3: the spring. That's what I thought in the summer. I
• 1:03:10
Speaker 3: got not glowing returns out of Auburn spring ball about
• 1:03:15
Speaker 3: Jackson Arnold. It didn't sound great. The early portions of
• 1:03:18
Speaker 3: fall camp very very hit and miss, which, by the way,
• 1:03:21
Speaker 3: I expect it to be. Early I've looked at this
• 1:03:23
Speaker 3: is get in there, crawl over broken glass. If you
• 1:03:26
Speaker 3: have to get the win, get out, regroup and get
• 1:03:28
Speaker 3: ready for conference to play down the roads. I don't
• 1:03:30
Speaker 3: think there's a choice where they pull away like I
• 1:03:33
Speaker 3: think it's Auburn when somehow, some way, best case scenario,
• 1:03:37
Speaker 3: it's a dogfight form. The more I looked at it,
• 1:03:40
Speaker 3: the more I said, which two units have takeover potential?
• 1:03:43
Speaker 3: If there is takeover in this game, and it ended
• 1:03:46
Speaker 3: up being Auburn's O line, which is the most underrated
• 1:03:48
Speaker 3: part of their team, and wide receiver gives them an opportunity. Now,
• 1:03:52
Speaker 3: I got such low confidence in that because I have
• 1:03:54
Speaker 3: low confidence in Jackson Arnold. That's a turnover prone player. Freeze.
• 1:03:58
Speaker 3: His system is turnover prone throughout his career. Even when
• 1:04:02
Speaker 3: he was good at Ole Miss, they turned the ball
• 1:04:04
Speaker 3: over at a rate that was higher than any other
• 1:04:07
Speaker 3: successful team. They turned it over chronically last year. So
• 1:04:12
Speaker 3: there's low confidence in this. The way if I try
• 1:04:14
Speaker 3: and try and close the eyes and envision the game
• 1:04:17
Speaker 3: going is all right. Neither side's having a ton of success,
• 1:04:21
Speaker 3: or either both sides are having a ton of success,
• 1:04:23
Speaker 3: but neither is pulling away. Auburn has such a good
• 1:04:26
Speaker 3: receiver room that when all else fails, you can throw
• 1:04:29
Speaker 3: it up to guys. And I really think when you
• 1:04:32
Speaker 3: watch Auburn, if they win, which I think they will,
• 1:04:34
Speaker 3: I'm gonna go Auburn to win the game very narrowly.
• 1:04:36
Speaker 3: I think it's gonna be a whole lot more just
• 1:04:38
Speaker 3: throw it up and let freaks make plays. And you
• 1:04:41
Speaker 3: watch it and you say, dude, there's no design behind this.
• 1:04:44
Speaker 3: That's just better athletes winning. That's actually why I think
• 1:04:46
Speaker 3: they're gonna win. They're gonna take better athletes into Waco.
• 1:04:49
Speaker 3: It won't so much be they're gonna scheme them to death.
• 1:04:51
Speaker 3: They're gonna out athlete them just enough to get out
• 1:04:54
Speaker 3: of there with a win. You're still gonna have questions
• 1:04:56
Speaker 3: about Auburn. You're still gonna find yourself saying they're not
• 1:04:58
Speaker 3: gonna be able to win in the SEC like that,
• 1:05:00
Speaker 3: and then Auburn's gonna say that's okay, because maybe we'll
• 1:05:03
Speaker 3: be better than this by the time we get the
• 1:05:05
Speaker 3: conference play. We got the win. Now, if the opposite
• 1:05:08
Speaker 3: were to happen, it's a nightmare for Hugh Freez. I'm
• 1:05:11
Speaker 3: just telling you, I know he doesn't have a job.
• 1:05:14
Speaker 3: There's a chance that that begins the terminal like trajectory
• 1:05:20
Speaker 3: towards him not having a job. That is a place
• 1:05:23
Speaker 3: I know very well, and that is a place that
• 1:05:25
Speaker 3: needs this game very badly.
• 1:05:28
Speaker 2: God, you're going to be the one that puts him
• 1:05:32
Speaker 2: on his back, on your back, I want to badly.
• 1:05:36
Speaker 2: I want to sit there and look at Peyton not
• 1:05:38
Speaker 2: so fast, my friend, and talk about the Baylor Bears
• 1:05:41
Speaker 2: in a way of returning all that production, returning a
• 1:05:44
Speaker 2: team that is very excited to open their season on
• 1:05:47
Speaker 2: a Friday night. We're talking Friday night lights. Blackout in Waco, Texas.
• 1:05:51
Speaker 3: Could be a blackout on YouTube TV, could be a
• 1:05:55
Speaker 3: lot of excitement because Baylor, Baylor is a contender for
• 1:05:57
  Speaker 3: the Big twelve.
• 1:06:01
Speaker 2: I'm with you. I agree on the talent. You got it,
• 1:06:06
Speaker 2: you didn't there he is, I'm looking for the bus.
• 1:06:11
Speaker 2: I got no body over here.
• 1:06:12
Speaker 3: Never mind, I saw fun.
• 1:06:14
Speaker 2: I kind of wanted to hit a but just something
• 1:06:19
Speaker 2: tells me. I know the Pate State model can't predict turnovers,
• 1:06:23
Speaker 2: but something just tells me you're gonna try and establish
• 1:06:26
Speaker 2: the run and protect mister Jackson Arnold. But all you
• 1:06:30
Speaker 2: need is one turnover early for that place to get rocking,
• 1:06:35
Speaker 2: for them to field just a little bit of confidence.
• 1:06:38
Speaker 2: I know we can't predict turnovers, but the whole close
• 1:06:41
Speaker 2: your eyes saying, I can see it happening, and it
• 1:06:44
Speaker 2: juices up a sideline, It rallies the troops, and it
• 1:06:47
Speaker 2: puts just that little bit of pressure. It's like Jackson,
• 1:06:50
Speaker 2: oh yeah, he's got a high ceiling. You talk about
• 1:06:51
Speaker 2: with all the mental words, yet mentally but what happens
• 1:06:54
Speaker 2: to that team when they get hit in the mouth.
• 1:06:56
Speaker 2: What happens when not even hitting the mouth, but one
• 1:06:59
Speaker 2: bad thing happens over Baylor goes down the score. This
• 1:07:03
Speaker 2: is a game I want to reach in and I
• 1:07:05
Speaker 2: want to take the underdog. I want to take Auburn
• 1:07:07
Speaker 2: and that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna ride with
• 1:07:09
Speaker 2: the Baylor Bears. And also who I want to cement
• 1:07:12
Speaker 2: this is not your man, Randy Savage coming from the
• 1:07:15
Speaker 2: back end. We got our Baylor Bear. We got Sherman Young.
• 1:07:18
Speaker 1: Say, I want to reach in, take Auburn, and that's
• 1:07:20
Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. I'm taking the Baylor Bears.
• 1:07:26
Speaker 2: Holy shit, I'm taking Baylor. I want to reach out.
• 1:07:32
Speaker 2: I want to take Baylor. Like everything says Auburn is
• 1:07:35
Speaker 2: the better football team, but I'm gonna I'm going with
• 1:07:38
Speaker 2: that turnover early in the game.
• 1:07:40
Speaker 3: Let me tell you, I like the speed on the
• 1:07:42
  Speaker 3: outside of Baylor.
• 1:07:44
Speaker 2: You start, You're starting?
• 1:07:46
  Speaker 3: Are you sold?
• 1:07:47
Speaker 2: He's starting to sell me? Like?
• 1:07:48
  Speaker 3: Are you leaning?
• 1:07:50
Speaker 2: Do we need the last bit of tip? Just like
• 1:07:53
Speaker 2: have you read about there's new slow receiver Fondell bro
• 1:07:57
Speaker 2: They got some talent on the outside.
• 1:07:58
Speaker 3: Reach in and Fondel.
• 1:08:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what if l.
• 1:08:05
Speaker 3: I just wanted to say, Fondelle really slowly would reach in.
• 1:08:07
Speaker 3: That's all I wanted to do. Hey, let me tell
• 1:08:09
Speaker 3: you something speaking of speaking of uncomfortability.
• 1:08:12
Speaker 2: And go ahead, make our new guests feel uncomfortable. No,
• 1:08:16
Speaker 2: he knew what was coming. Oh he knew. He knew
• 1:08:19
Speaker 2: what was coming. But I forgot make our new guests
• 1:08:21
Speaker 2: feel uncomfortable. I'm gonna reach my hand.
• 1:08:23
Speaker 1: In the cookie jar, get Josh.
• 1:08:24
Speaker 2: Wait, I'm gonna get Will Compton. Fuck, he was this close.
• 1:08:30
Speaker 2: He was this. I thought about it. Did you bite?
• 1:08:33
Speaker 3: You just bet on that I was gonna bite a
• 1:08:35
Speaker 3: different way though, Will, Like Will's heads turned like this.
• 1:08:40
Speaker 1: You say fine down he just slowly he looks at me.
• 1:08:43
Speaker 1: I'm like, oh no, that's your one.
• 1:08:47
Speaker 2: Josh. I forgot what we say next week? If I
• 1:08:49
Speaker 2: get you, I get you, well, you're probably gonna talk
• 1:08:52
  Speaker 2: about the speed.
• 1:08:52
Speaker 3: No, no, I'm gonna tell you this. So you said
• 1:08:55
Speaker 3: what a turnover would do, and you said what it
• 1:08:57
Speaker 3: would do mentally to Jackson, Arnold reas was it media
• 1:09:00
Speaker 3: days and told us that he had instructed his defensive
• 1:09:03
Speaker 3: coaches to allow practice to end on a positive note
• 1:09:07
Speaker 3: for his offense and his quarterback. That's how they had
• 1:09:10
Speaker 3: scripted practice during film.
• 1:09:12
Speaker 1: Can I say one thing, give me Baylor Bears hearing?
• 1:09:16
Speaker 1: Give me Baylor Bears because I cannot. I can't have that.
• 1:09:20
Speaker 1: When I'm looking at Jackson oorticle, I'm seeing all the articles.
• 1:09:22
Speaker 1: Where's his confidence out? How is he meant? Blah blah blah.
• 1:09:25
Speaker 1: A lot of people are saying, you gotta worry about
• 1:09:26
Speaker 1: this kid. If he gets his confidence back, it's real.
• 1:09:29
Speaker 1: The fact that the head coach is saying, it's real.
• 1:09:31
Speaker 1: We have to finish practice on a positive note for
• 1:09:34
  Speaker 1: this kid's mentals.
• 1:09:37
  Speaker 2: I get.
• 1:09:37
Speaker 1: I'm all about I'm all about people taking care of
• 1:09:39
Speaker 1: himself mentally. This game doesn't care about your feelings, right,
• 1:09:43
Speaker 1: It does not care about feels. I know, damn well,
• 1:09:46
Speaker 1: everybody in Waco, tex doesn't give a fuck about Jackson
• 1:09:48
  Speaker 1: Arnold's feelings.
• 1:09:50
Speaker 2: Give me the Baylor Bears. I'm flipping. I'm flipping. Come on,
• 1:09:53
Speaker 2: how are you feeling the not your man, Randy Savage?
• 1:10:00
Speaker 2: You get that, mic brother, Oh my god, Pete Staters,
• 1:10:05
Speaker 2: welcome to the show.
• 1:10:08
  Speaker 3: Talk to me.
• 1:10:12
Speaker 5: Speaking of Pete Staters, I'm here with the Commissioner of
• 1:10:17
Speaker 5: College Football, Josh Pate. He's picking the Auburn Tigers this
• 1:10:22
Speaker 5: Friday night when they go up against those Baylor Bears
• 1:10:27
Speaker 5: down in Waco, Texas. Auburn Tigers cup of coffee, not.
• 1:10:32
Speaker 6: Gonna let it slip through my fingers. You know why,
• 1:10:35
Speaker 6: because the Baylor Bears are the cream that will rise
• 1:10:38
  Speaker 6: to the top.
• 1:10:40
Speaker 7: If we're talking about Jackson Arnold and making them comfortable.
• 1:10:44
Speaker 7: Dave Randa's got blitzes more exotic than the Amazon River.
• 1:10:47
Speaker 5: Josh Paid, He's gonna be getting in that kid's face
• 1:10:50
  Speaker 5: all night.
• 1:10:51
Speaker 6: But let's not talking about what's going on on the field.
• 1:10:55
Speaker 6: Let's talk about what's going on in the crowd. We
• 1:10:57
Speaker 6: gotta blackout on the bazas.
• 1:11:00
  Speaker 2: We got the.
• 1:11:01
Speaker 7: Chrome domes dripping gold all night. And if you freeze
• 1:11:06
Speaker 7: once a boat race, by god, we're built on the Brezis.
• 1:11:10
Speaker 7: In a boat race, it will be fifty seven and
• 1:11:13
Speaker 7: a half is the over under?
• 1:11:15
Speaker 5: Correct me behind the computer if I'm wrong, smash the
• 1:11:19
  Speaker 5: over bailer.
• 1:11:20
Speaker 6: Ain't going underneath thirty five points all night. And I'll
• 1:11:24
Speaker 6: tell you one last thing. I love that you're talking
• 1:11:28
Speaker 6: about my coach Dave Arinda. Because the cream the green
• 1:11:33
Speaker 6: tailor rises to the top. Dave Randa has put six
• 1:11:37
Speaker 6: or seven head coaches into a coffin, into a casket.
• 1:11:42
Speaker 6: Lincoln Riley came to Waco when he was coaching the
• 1:11:46
Speaker 6: Sooners and he beat that ass so bad he ran
• 1:11:48
Speaker 6: off to the back.
• 1:11:49
  Speaker 2: Twelve.
• 1:11:50
Speaker 7: Steve Sarkizan came in lost to Dave Randa Mike Gundy
• 1:11:55
Speaker 7: in the Big twelve Championship.
• 1:11:57
Speaker 6: Dave Randa's got a body count. You know who was
• 1:12:00
Speaker 6: on that buddy count? Tell us twenty sixteen head coach
• 1:12:05
Speaker 6: of all miss you Freeze, who's the defensive coordinator at
• 1:12:09
Speaker 6: LSU that kept him to twenty one points? This guy
• 1:12:13
Speaker 6: knows what he's doing. He knows what's coming in.
• 1:12:16
Speaker 7: There, and the Baylor Bears are gonna be walking out
• 1:12:19
Speaker 7: with the w because the cream right just to the top.
• 1:12:26
Speaker 2: Thank you, not you man, do that? Thank you? Does
• 1:12:29
Speaker 2: that change your mind at all?
• 1:12:30
Speaker 3: Yeah? He would have changed my mind. I definitely gonna
• 1:12:32
Speaker 3: drink this cream. You know the game they beat Lincoln
• 1:12:38
Speaker 3: when he was at OU was so great. Surem you
• 1:12:40
Speaker 3: remember this. You stormed the field twice. They stormed the
• 1:12:44
Speaker 3: field twice. I was on the field. I know they
• 1:12:47
Speaker 3: stormed the field twice. It does not change my mind.
• 1:12:49
Speaker 3: But I'm in love with you. I'm in love with
• 1:12:52
Speaker 3: everything that just happened.
• 1:12:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought he was gonna have a heart attack
• 1:12:56
  Speaker 1: halfoy through.
• 1:12:56
Speaker 2: Honestly, he's like fucking a green will rise to the top.
• 1:13:03
Speaker 2: Good slay of games, Great sla game, great games, great
• 1:13:06
Speaker 2: slate of games. Do we get to it? The game
• 1:13:10
Speaker 2: of the week, the True Classic game of the week.
• 1:13:12
Speaker 2: Every Saturday, It's got games, but only one fits just right.
• 1:13:15
Speaker 2: This is True Classics Game of the Week. The True
• 1:13:18
Speaker 2: Classic Game of the Week is presented by you guess
• 1:13:20
Speaker 2: that True Classic. They sent us a boatload of the
• 1:13:23
Speaker 2: new Pima shirts. They fit amazingly. If you look at
• 1:13:26
Speaker 2: Josh Paton right here, and you look at the genetics
• 1:13:28
Speaker 2: that this man has. If he doesn't have a True
• 1:13:30
Speaker 2: Classic shirt on, he looks like our boy Jared Beaman.
• 1:13:32
Speaker 2: He puts on a True Classic shirt, he looks like
• 1:13:34
Speaker 2: Josh pate Stack. Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good. You
• 1:13:38
Speaker 2: can find True Classic at Amazon and Costco, Sam's Club,
• 1:13:41
Speaker 2: Target nationwide, or online at Trueclassic dot com, slash bussing
• 1:13:46
Speaker 2: Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good. Let's get to the
• 1:13:49
Speaker 2: big game of the week, Texas at Ohio State. The
• 1:13:52
Speaker 2: Heisman favorite arch Manning takes on the defending national champions
• 1:13:56
Speaker 2: Ohio State. Ohio State is favored at home. It's two
• 1:14:00
Speaker 2: and a half. The over under on this game is
• 1:14:02
Speaker 2: forty seven and a half. Gentlemen, can I go on
• 1:14:09
Speaker 2: record saying I want Ohio State the witness game?
• 1:14:11
Speaker 3: You portanly everybody does I want.
• 1:14:14
Speaker 2: To win this game? I do.
• 1:14:17
Speaker 1: I just look at the turnover at the the OC
• 1:14:20
Speaker 1: and DC. I like Brian Hartline actually a lot. Not
• 1:14:22
Speaker 1: only is your great recruiter, but friend of the show,
• 1:14:24
Speaker 1: friend of the show, friend of the show, best swag
• 1:14:27
Speaker 1: in America. On the best Swag in America, guy looks
• 1:14:29
Speaker 1: absolutely fantastic. I think he'll do a great job. And
• 1:14:31
Speaker 1: plus he has aliens all over Ohio States offense. Matte Patricia,
• 1:14:36
  Speaker 1: I'm not I don't want to be discribed. I'm not
• 1:14:38
Speaker 1: like completely sold on him. Like I know he was
• 1:14:40
Speaker 1: big time at the Patriots with any kind of jumped
• 1:14:42
Speaker 1: all over the place, so I didn't really see a
• 1:14:44
Speaker 1: whole big jump from him. I look at Texas. The
• 1:14:48
Speaker 1: question mark there is their offensive line they have, They're
• 1:14:51
Speaker 1: they're putting a bunch of new guys in there, but
• 1:14:52
Speaker 1: they have an elite secondary. They have a kid that's
• 1:14:55
Speaker 1: been all world everything, a manning that can run. Who
• 1:14:58
Speaker 1: would have thought that can cauction even exis He's a
• 1:15:01
Speaker 1: Heisman front warning candidate. I think Texas is like a
• 1:15:05
Speaker 1: vampire going to sleep man, and then they Ohio State
• 1:15:08
Speaker 1: put them to bet.
• 1:15:09
  Speaker 2: It's not a casket. It's a.
• 1:15:12
Speaker 1: Vampire sleeping, not a casket. Coffin these nuts, dude, all right, listen,
• 1:15:17
Speaker 1: I think Texas loses to Ohio State after a team
• 1:15:24
Speaker 1: that had and complete.
• 1:15:25
Speaker 2: And cough in. He didn't break tribe, the bast of
• 1:15:40
Speaker 2: six and a half and a half.
• 1:15:44
Speaker 1: Ohio State lost their entire defense. One coffin, coffin these nuts, dude,
• 1:15:50
Speaker 1: it's you've got got mad about What are you mad?
• 1:15:55
Speaker 1: If they give you that one? Caleb downs all world safety,
• 1:15:58
Speaker 1: he's your main returner. You lose all of your production,
• 1:16:02
Speaker 1: the six the most pressures you got, your six guys,
• 1:16:05
Speaker 1: they're now gone. Matt Patricia has to now go in
• 1:16:09
Speaker 1: and reinstill confidence and have I mean, there's no debt
• 1:16:11
Speaker 1: that a HOI of State's always going to reload everything
• 1:16:13
Speaker 1: I think it takes a little bit of time. I
• 1:16:14
Speaker 1: think Texas right now, at this point, they have a
• 1:16:17
Speaker 1: more cohesive unit. From the OC standpoint, I think Sarkesan
• 1:16:20
Speaker 1: sees blood. He needs it, He's got to have it.
• 1:16:22
Speaker 1: They already held Jeremiah Smith to one reception for three yards.
• 1:16:25
Speaker 1: They understand how to neutralize him a lot of ways.
• 1:16:28
Speaker 1: I think Ohio State is going to give their licks
• 1:16:30
Speaker 1: in this game. I'm hoping this game is close. I
• 1:16:33
Speaker 1: want Ohio State to win. If the game is close,
• 1:16:35
Speaker 1: Ohio State will win this game. I can see Texas.
• 1:16:39
Speaker 1: I can see this being a disappointing Week one where
• 1:16:42
Speaker 1: we're like, man, Texas just blew the doors off of them.
• 1:16:45
Speaker 2: I can see that happening.
• 1:16:46
Speaker 1: I don't necessarily see it going the other way. That
• 1:16:49
Speaker 1: playoff game they had. Every guy who scored a touchdown
• 1:16:53
Speaker 1: is no longer on the Ohio State offense anymore. Both
• 1:16:56
Speaker 1: both their running backs are gone. The one receiving touchdown
• 1:16:59
Speaker 1: they had with the Trayvonson, he scores a seventy five yarder.
• 1:17:03
Speaker 1: I think there's a lot of turnover for Ohio State.
• 1:17:05
Speaker 1: I think Texas has been waiting for this for a
• 1:17:07
Speaker 1: long time, and this is the team they lost to
• 1:17:09
Speaker 1: last year. This is a get back game for them.
• 1:17:12
Speaker 1: If Ohio State wins, it's a good look for the
• 1:17:15
  Speaker 1: Big Ten.
• 1:17:16
Speaker 2: So you got Ohio State minus two and a half.
• 1:17:18
Speaker 1: No, I got Texas. I want I've already said Texas.
• 1:17:22
Speaker 1: I want Ohio State to win. But I think Texas
• 1:17:24
Speaker 1: is gonna win this game.
• 1:17:25
Speaker 2: Okay. If I'm sitting here.
• 1:17:26
Speaker 1: And people are watching the show, they're like, I'm gonna
• 1:17:27
Speaker 1: listen to what Taylor Want says, I would say Texas.
• 1:17:30
Speaker 2: I can't go wrong by the fanduels people. Yeah, Okay,
• 1:17:35
  Speaker 2: I got you. What's a vampire sleeping? I can't give
• 1:17:40
Speaker 2: you a cough. I look at both of these both
• 1:17:43
Speaker 2: of these schools. They all got great talent, they all
• 1:17:46
Speaker 2: got good coaching staffs. They're all gonna have good game plans.
• 1:17:49
Speaker 2: If I just focus in on how this game can
• 1:17:52
Speaker 2: play out, and if I'm leaning on the Matt Patricia
• 1:17:54
Speaker 2: side of the defense, you got arch Manning having his
• 1:17:58
Speaker 2: first big game, doesn't have a whole lot of starts
• 1:18:01
Speaker 2: and experience to where you're watching the film and it's like,
• 1:18:04
Speaker 2: this is how we're gonna attack this kid. Patricia is
• 1:18:06
Speaker 2: more of an aggressive play color, a lot of more
• 1:18:09
Speaker 2: mann and man coverage and everything else. I think when
• 1:18:11
Speaker 2: you get a good quarterback that can dice you up,
• 1:18:13
Speaker 2: you're not gonna want to sit in zone. So I
• 1:18:15
Speaker 2: think this plays into Matt Patricia wanting to implement this
• 1:18:18
Speaker 2: very aggressive style defense, especially coming out of a week one.
• 1:18:22
Speaker 2: But I think it plays into the hands of an
• 1:18:25
Speaker 2: arch of arch Manning and Sark. I think they're gonna
• 1:18:27
Speaker 2: have great counters to everything they do defensively. I think
• 1:18:32
Speaker 2: the wide receivers will get just enough separation. And I
• 1:18:34
Speaker 2: think if arch Manning is as advertised, which I think
• 1:18:38
Speaker 2: he is, I think he eats up this man to
• 1:18:41
Speaker 2: man coverage. I got Texas in this game. I'm taking
• 1:18:43
Speaker 2: Texas plus two and a half. To me, That's what
• 1:18:46
Speaker 2: it comes down to, because I think everywhere everybody's good.
• 1:18:49
Speaker 2: There's gonna be new faces on both sides of the ball.
• 1:18:51
Speaker 2: They've all recruited very well. They have everything. Each team
• 1:18:54
Speaker 2: they're ploys for a big year. You want to know
• 1:18:55
Speaker 2: who the quarterback is gonna be on Ohio State side.
• 1:18:59
Speaker 2: But again, arch Manning as advertised, and I think he
• 1:19:02
Speaker 2: has a lot of success against the man coverage that
• 1:19:04
Speaker 2: he's going to see this weekend.
• 1:19:06
Speaker 1: Julian's saying too, having his first start in this type
• 1:19:08
Speaker 1: of game. I mean, what is it the loudest. Oh yeah,
• 1:19:13
Speaker 1: JP's getting his third vehicles bought to him. You're right, yeah,
• 1:19:16
Speaker 1: Julian's saying like, it's like what an uphill battle he has.
• 1:19:19
Speaker 1: He has, He's lost his running backs. I mean, he
• 1:19:21
Speaker 1: has like an alien wide receiver, a guy you can
• 1:19:23
Speaker 1: just kind of go throw it up to.
• 1:19:25
Speaker 2: But Texas, man, like.
• 1:19:26
Speaker 1: You're basically inheriting, inheriting a problem from your former family.
• 1:19:30
Speaker 1: Like Ohio State win beat the breaks off of Texas
• 1:19:33
Speaker 1: this year, they haven't forgot. It doesn't matter if it's
• 1:19:34
Speaker 1: a different guy at quarterback. They have not forgotten about
• 1:19:37
Speaker 1: what the Buck guys did to him.
• 1:19:40
Speaker 3: I just keep hearing so many people do what you
• 1:19:42
Speaker 3: just did. You just did. I'm about to do it.
• 1:19:44
Speaker 3: I'm about to pick Texas too. And I just fixturer
• 1:19:46
Speaker 3: folks sitting at Columbus. We just won a national title.
• 1:19:49
Speaker 3: A returning or replacing a starter at Ohio State is
• 1:19:52
Speaker 3: a little different than what it is everywhere else because
• 1:19:55
Speaker 3: you're replacing a starter with another stud problem is Texas
• 1:19:58
Speaker 3: is that same way and Texas is questions I think
• 1:20:00
Speaker 3: are lesser than than Ohio States Hilasius pass rush edge Texas.
• 1:20:05
Speaker 3: I think quarterback will be an edge to Texas, but
• 1:20:07
Speaker 3: who really knows. I just guess on that there's a
• 1:20:09
Speaker 3: staff edge to Texas. I love those dudes at Ohio State,
• 1:20:12
Speaker 3: but I mean, they wouldn't be able to call me
• 1:20:14
  Speaker 3: a liar with a straight face if I said, you're
• 1:20:17
Speaker 3: replacing coordinators one of them like you said with Matt Patricia,
• 1:20:20
Speaker 3: not really a lot of college experience to begin with.
• 1:20:23
Speaker 3: And then on Texas's side, I consider Stark their OC
• 1:20:26
Speaker 3: Pete Wakowski's been there forever and he's probably kept them up.
• 1:20:29
Speaker 3: In fact, I know he's kept him up late this
• 1:20:30
Speaker 3: week because I've spoken to them about staying up late
• 1:20:32
Speaker 3: this week about trying to run the ball on him.
• 1:20:35
Speaker 3: Special teams man Texas Jeff Bank's got one of the
• 1:20:37
Speaker 3: best special teams guys in the country. I just I
• 1:20:40
Speaker 3: look at it so many different ways. Like one thing
• 1:20:42
Speaker 3: is people say all the time when these number one
• 1:20:45
Speaker 3: versus number two top five matchup type games happen, is
• 1:20:48
Speaker 3: they say, well, either way, it'll be a great game.
• 1:20:50
  Speaker 3: I don't know that it'll be a great game, because
• 1:20:52
Speaker 3: there's a world where you get this much talent and
• 1:20:54
Speaker 3: this much uncertainty, you throw it in a blender. It
• 1:20:57
Speaker 3: could spit out thirty eight to seventeen either way. I
• 1:21:00
Speaker 3: think it could be a blowout either way. I just
• 1:21:01
Speaker 3: trust Texas's answer is a whole lot more, I guess,
• 1:21:05
Speaker 3: than Ohio State's answers. So, like many other people, I'm
• 1:21:09
Speaker 3: going to Texas to win and cover.
• 1:21:10
Speaker 1: I think the public would be like understanding if Texas
• 1:21:12
Speaker 1: was a thirty eight to seventeen winner. I think the
• 1:21:15
Speaker 1: public's a little more unforgiving if Ohio State's on the
• 1:21:18
Speaker 1: winning version of that blowout, they should be, especially with
• 1:21:21
Speaker 1: arch Manning like everybody and their mother, the use of
• 1:21:23
Speaker 1: the cohesiveness of the of the DC's and the head
• 1:21:25
  Speaker 1: coach like everything.
• 1:21:27
Speaker 2: If there's going to be a blow it's has the
• 1:21:29
  Speaker 2: Longhorns written all.
• 1:21:30
Speaker 3: Do you think Sark or Ryan Day needs the game more.
• 1:21:34
Speaker 1: That see that's where iileen favored in Ohio State. I
• 1:21:37
Speaker 1: think Sark needs the game more than Ryan Dates.
• 1:21:39
  Speaker 3: I don't think it's close. I think it's sarked by
• 1:21:41
Speaker 3: ten mints. One guy just won a national title, right Okay,
• 1:21:44
Speaker 3: one guy if he wins Saturday, great, But like do
• 1:21:47
Speaker 3: the alternate scenario if all three of us are wrong,
• 1:21:49
Speaker 3: very rare. But if all three of us are wrong
• 1:21:51
Speaker 3: and they're flying back home and Ohio State just got
• 1:21:53
Speaker 3: the win, here's what Texas fans start to say. You,
• 1:21:57
Speaker 3: Steve Sarkis, had a shot against the Boer a couple
• 1:21:59
Speaker 3: of years ago in the playoffs, you lost to a
• 1:22:01
Speaker 3: lesser roster. You had two shots against Kirby last year.
• 1:22:05
Speaker 3: You lost. Then you lost again and they put their
• 1:22:07
Speaker 3: backup quarterback in at halftime because we not the starter
• 1:22:10
Speaker 3: at you still lost. You had a shot against Ryan
• 1:22:12
Speaker 3: Day in the playoffs, you lost. You just got another
• 1:22:14
Speaker 3: shot against Ryan Day, you lost again. Do we have
• 1:22:17
Speaker 3: a big game problem? Does our guy match up in
• 1:22:21
Speaker 3: big game? We don't play one hundred and sixty two
• 1:22:23
Speaker 3: games in football, we played twelve of them, so over
• 1:22:26
Speaker 3: the span of one Saturday. The narrative, which is an
• 1:22:29
Speaker 3: overused word, but in this case it fits. The narrative
• 1:22:31
Speaker 3: a round a guy can start to shift pretty radically,
• 1:22:33
Speaker 3: So you can say it's one game. People can say
• 1:22:36
Speaker 3: it's one game. All they want to go lose the game,
• 1:22:38
Speaker 3: not even a conference game, but go lose the game
• 1:22:40
Speaker 3: on the road in the shoe against number one or two,
• 1:22:43
Speaker 3: it'll be you know.
• 1:22:44
Speaker 2: The eight stock market crash. Yeah, back in Texas.
• 1:22:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it turns more to a Ryan Day
• 1:22:53
Speaker 1: situation before this past year.
• 1:22:55
Speaker 2: Which is worse because because I think Texas fans are crazier.
• 1:22:58
Speaker 3: But people would look at his roster. People look at
• 1:23:00
  Speaker 3: Franklin's roster. They've never said Franklin's got a roster that
• 1:23:04
Speaker 3: compares to Ohio State. They got to squeeze every drop
• 1:23:07
Speaker 3: of water out of the rag to win a game.
• 1:23:09
Speaker 3: They would look at Texas and say, you've got an
• 1:23:11
Speaker 3: embarrassment of riches. You've out recruited everyone. You guys can
• 1:23:14
Speaker 3: portal like no one else. You've got infinite resources. If
• 1:23:17
Speaker 3: you can't get it done with all the resources at
• 1:23:19
Speaker 3: your disposal, it would in a way be viewed worse
• 1:23:22
  Speaker 3: than James Franklin.
• 1:23:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, and a lot of Ferraris in that parking lot,
• 1:23:26
Speaker 2: a ton of them, a lot of them figuratively and literally. Yeah,
• 1:23:31
Speaker 2: there it is Texas across the board. I hope we
• 1:23:33
Speaker 2: seem right. I feel really good about the weekend. We
• 1:23:36
Speaker 2: do have our dog of the week Dogs of the Week,
• 1:23:40
Speaker 2: Dog of the Week. What we're doing on Dog of
• 1:23:42
Speaker 2: the Week is we're picking an underdog with the points
• 1:23:47
Speaker 2: so that way we can talk about a different game
• 1:23:48
Speaker 2: or a different team that's out there right now. Because
• 1:23:50
Speaker 2: the thing with college football is once you get outside
• 1:23:52
Speaker 2: of the big games of the spreads are a little
• 1:23:55
Speaker 2: more marginal. Outside of that, it's all double digit spreads.
• 1:23:58
Speaker 2: My money line, it's hard to look at the viewer
• 1:24:02
Speaker 2: and go, hey, guys, listen, I'm gonna take this underdog
• 1:24:03
Speaker 2: that's you know, plus fifteen and a half. Yep, this
• 1:24:06
Speaker 2: is why you should take him, and then you.
• 1:24:07
Speaker 1: Lose your good heart in mind, right, talking spread is
• 1:24:10
Speaker 1: trying to give you the best opportunity you will go first.
• 1:24:12
  Speaker 2: I like Syracuse plus thirteen and a half. I don't
• 1:24:15
Speaker 2: on Tennessee not to win. I think Tennessee wins the game.
• 1:24:18
Speaker 2: But I like Syracuse plus plus thirteen and a half.
• 1:24:23
Speaker 2: I really like Fran Brown. He was the He was
• 1:24:26
Speaker 2: the dB coach at Georgia. Syracuse hires him to be
• 1:24:29
Speaker 2: the head man. In the first year at Syracuse. Look,
• 1:24:33
Speaker 2: nobody knows that Syracuse plays football up in the Northeast.
• 1:24:36
Speaker 2: He goes ten and four.
• 1:24:37
Speaker 1: Tell it to Troy Nuns do what Troy Nuns, legendary
• 1:24:41
  Speaker 1: Syracuse quarterback coach.
• 1:24:43
Speaker 2: Okay, fair, but Syracuse historically they haven't had They just
• 1:24:48
Speaker 2: went ten and four with fran Brown's first year as
• 1:24:51
Speaker 2: the head man. And this is a guy that loves
• 1:24:53
Speaker 2: the smoke. Deon talks about, Hey, let's do you know
• 1:24:56
Speaker 2: we should we should be open up and being able
• 1:24:57
Speaker 2: to practice against other teams. You know, fran Brown's on
• 1:25:00
Speaker 2: the internet being like, hey, we'll be that team. NCAA
• 1:25:02
Speaker 2: shuts it down. But this dude, like he has the
• 1:25:05
Speaker 2: swagger right now. Currently they have a top twenty five
• 1:25:08
Speaker 2: recruiting class. Like he's talking athletes in the hey, Syracuse
• 1:25:11
Speaker 2: is the best place for you to play football. He's
• 1:25:13
Speaker 2: talking transfers at Notre Dame, Alabama LSU being like, hey,
• 1:25:17
Speaker 2: this is a better spot to play because he knows
• 1:25:19
Speaker 2: how to develop and get the most out of his talent.
• 1:25:22
Speaker 2: I like fran Brown a lot against. Syracuse hasn't had
• 1:25:25
Speaker 2: a double digit win season since two thousand and two,
• 1:25:27
Speaker 2: and he does it in his very first year. Will
• 1:25:30
Speaker 2: Howard was a big part of that. But again, this
• 1:25:31
Speaker 2: is a guy who can recruit and get people in there,
• 1:25:34
Speaker 2: and he knows how to develop guys. Comiccord my fault.
• 1:25:37
Speaker 2: They're both you know they're they're quarterbacks Ohio State. But
• 1:25:44
Speaker 2: I like fran Brown. I like Syracuse. I like the
• 1:25:46
Speaker 2: thirteen and a half against the Tennessee team, who they're
• 1:25:49
Speaker 2: going to be very good defensively, but I don't know
• 1:25:51
Speaker 2: who they're going to be offensively without Nico. And they
• 1:25:53
Speaker 2: got a lot of new faces across the board, O
• 1:25:56
Speaker 2: line receivers that are placing the running back. Uh So
• 1:26:00
Speaker 2: that's why I like Syracuse plus with the points plus
• 1:26:03
Speaker 2: thirteen and a half.
• 1:26:05
  Speaker 3: I love it.
• 1:26:06
  Speaker 2: You like that.
• 1:26:06
Speaker 3: I've been on it all week. Love it. Steve Angeli.
• 1:26:09
Speaker 3: By the way, new quarterback for Syracuse transfer from Notre Dame.
• 1:26:13
Speaker 3: Good player, competitive character of that team, trusted a lot.
• 1:26:18
  Speaker 3: Tennessee's not pulling.
• 1:26:18
  Speaker 2: Away on that.
• 1:26:19
Speaker 3: So Syracuse is going to cover that game?
• 1:26:22
  Speaker 2: Oh wow?
• 1:26:22
Speaker 3: Yeah? No, I like it. I like it a lot,
• 1:26:24
Speaker 3: You like it a lot. I've taken in a strong
• 1:26:27
Speaker 3: position on Syracuse this, okay. I would also like to
• 1:26:30
Speaker 3: take a strong position on South Florida plus five and
• 1:26:33
  Speaker 3: a half. This is a either a Thursday or a
• 1:26:35
  Speaker 3: Friday game.
• 1:26:36
Speaker 2: I want you to know. I'm taking it about this game.
• 1:26:38
Speaker 3: Who they playing to playing Boise, They're playing that in Tampa.
• 1:26:42
Speaker 3: They are. Alex Golish is one of the coaches that
• 1:26:46
Speaker 3: I've had circled for a couple of years, Like Alex
• 1:26:48
Speaker 3: Goldish was the OC at Tennessee, gets the South Florida job,
• 1:26:51
Speaker 3: been down there a couple of years. He's he's taken
• 1:26:53
Speaker 3: Bama to the wire twice. That's probably the only time
• 1:26:56
Speaker 3: people have really watched him. I just believe everyone's looking
• 1:26:59
Speaker 3: at Boise and they just automatically pencil him in. It's
• 1:27:02
Speaker 3: either them, like you default to them as the playoff
• 1:27:05
Speaker 3: team for the G five, and if they lose a game,
• 1:27:07
Speaker 3: it's gonna be when they play Notre Dame. They're five
• 1:27:10
Speaker 3: and a half point favorite in Week one, not fifteen
• 1:27:13
Speaker 3: or twenty five. They're five and a half point favorite.
• 1:27:14
Speaker 3: I think South Carolina could be South Florida, both of
• 1:27:17
Speaker 3: them actually, but South Florida could be very sneaky there.
• 1:27:19
Speaker 3: So I'm gonna take them plus five and a half.
• 1:27:21
  Speaker 2: I'm taking it.
• 1:27:22
Speaker 1: Fandal Fandal, Yeah, I don't know nothing about that game,
• 1:27:25
Speaker 1: And to be honest with you, I forgot when they
• 1:27:27
Speaker 1: had to do this until about forty five minutes before
• 1:27:28
  Speaker 1: the show started.
• 1:27:29
Speaker 2: I threw a drop in the bucket here. I looked
• 1:27:31
  Speaker 2: at Colorado.
• 1:27:32
Speaker 1: I said, there's been a lot of distractions in the
• 1:27:33
Speaker 1: Sanders family, A lot of distractions going on there. Shiloh's
• 1:27:37
Speaker 1: out there throwing punches on tight end guys.
• 1:27:40
Speaker 2: Dion just beat cancer.
• 1:27:41
Speaker 1: A lot of people not talking about the program of
• 1:27:43
Speaker 1: Colorado right now. I don't know who's their starting quarterback.
• 1:27:46
Speaker 3: It's gonna be Kayden Salter, Caiden Salter.
• 1:27:48
Speaker 2: Everyone knows about Kayden Salter. I don't even have to
• 1:27:50
  Speaker 2: be He's salty.
• 1:27:52
Speaker 1: He's salty. He's gonna be salty out there. They're playing
• 1:27:53
Speaker 1: Georgia Tech. They're dogs by four and a half. I
• 1:27:56
Speaker 1: can see them being sneaky here covering that.
• 1:27:58
Speaker 2: I can see him ask me how.
• 1:28:00
Speaker 3: I have no idea.
• 1:28:01
Speaker 2: Do you know either? But this is one of the
• 1:28:03
  Speaker 2: situations where.
• 1:28:06
Speaker 1: Forty minutes before the show, we had this and I
• 1:28:07
Speaker 1: was like, I got too much going on with the
• 1:28:09
Speaker 1: other five games. I got to make sure and get
• 1:28:10
Speaker 1: something out here. I like Theon, I love Deon, I
• 1:28:13
Speaker 1: like Prime Time. I think it's actually gonna help not
• 1:28:15
Speaker 1: having his kids on the team either from a distraction standpoint,
• 1:28:18
Speaker 1: they kind of get right to ball, focus on ball,
• 1:28:21
Speaker 1: not worry so much about nepotism, no disrespect, not so
• 1:28:24
Speaker 1: worried about nepotism. So I got let me get Colorado.
• 1:28:28
Speaker 1: Here's what parlay that weekly parlay?
• 1:28:31
Speaker 2: Do you like that? Pick it all?
• 1:28:33
  Speaker 3: No, man, I don't know why it's so low. That's
• 1:28:35
Speaker 3: why I stayed away from it, because I love Georgia Tech.
• 1:28:37
Speaker 3: This year. I love the spot for him.

Speaker 2: Hey, Josh love he loves he sees him in the
• 1:28:42
  Speaker 2: Action Championship.
• 1:28:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, last year they did in Dublin.
• 1:28:47
  Speaker 2: And Dublin overtime.
• 1:28:51
Speaker 3: Rival the window the linebacker with they got everybody. Everybody's
• 1:28:56
Speaker 3: back with that horse, color back. Actually, I don't know
• 1:28:58
  Speaker 3: if he's back.
• 1:28:59
Speaker 2: He's he's back, Mitch. Oh yeah, he runs around, He
• 1:29:02
Speaker 2: hunts in between the tackles, hunts. Don't get him dropping
• 1:29:05
  Speaker 2: them comforts.
• 1:29:06
Speaker 3: Never seen in thin air though, never seen him play
• 1:29:08
  Speaker 3: in thin air.
• 1:29:09
Speaker 2: That all right? Okay? Parlay weekly parlay. Yeah, I'm just
• 1:29:13
Speaker 2: trying to give us a no brainer. You want to
• 1:29:15
Speaker 2: talk to us about You want to talk to me
• 1:29:18
  Speaker 2: about ball state?
• 1:29:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, not much, but I want to talk to you
• 1:29:20
Speaker 3: about ball State. They're playing Purdue. They're getting eighteen and
• 1:29:24
Speaker 3: a half. Purdue has eighty two new scholarship players on
• 1:29:28
Speaker 3: the roster. It's impossible to know what they have. Barry Odoms,
• 1:29:31
Speaker 3: the head coach there, there is no way that he
• 1:29:33
Speaker 3: knows what he has. Winning by ten is a great
• 1:29:36
Speaker 3: day for them. Saturday, they are laying eighteen and a
• 1:29:39
Speaker 3: half though, so I'm taking ball State plus eighteen and
• 1:29:41
Speaker 3: a half. It is one of my favorite bets of
• 1:29:42
Speaker 3: the end. It is my favorite bet of the entire week.
• 1:29:44
Speaker 2: Actually, oh really yeah.
• 1:29:46
Speaker 1: Okay, pain State is going crazyh Purdue, Man, I feel
• 1:29:49
  Speaker 1: bad for Purdue.
• 1:29:49
Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Montana State. They're a plus twenty seven
• 1:29:52
Speaker 2: and a half versus Oregon.
• 1:29:54
Speaker 1: Why you ask, I don't know, because they were in
• 1:29:55
Speaker 1: their own national championship last year and I'm going fifteen
• 1:29:58
Speaker 1: and one. They got the stamp transferred justin Lampson. Good there,
• 1:30:03
Speaker 1: dual threat quarterback guy like that. Oregon last year they
• 1:30:06
Speaker 1: started slow. They put Idaho State and they only won
• 1:30:09
Speaker 1: that game by like three points.
• 1:30:11
Speaker 2: Took them only get that.
• 1:30:12
Speaker 1: Ball rolling a little bit, get them mobile into what
• 1:30:14
Speaker 1: they were towards the end of the year before they
• 1:30:15
  Speaker 1: run into the.
• 1:30:16
Speaker 2: Busaw of Ohio State. Montona State's sneaky.
• 1:30:20
Speaker 1: I think Oregon's also a team that like they know
• 1:30:22
Speaker 1: who they are as a unit.
• 1:30:23
Speaker 2: They're gonna get up.
• 1:30:24
Speaker 1: Montana State's gonna keep their starters in there because they're
• 1:30:27
Speaker 1: getting guys film whatever, and then they're gonna pull their
• 1:30:29
  Speaker 1: guys back.
• 1:30:30
Speaker 2: They're gonna let them play their game.
• 1:30:31
Speaker 1: Is gonna be a twenty one point win for Oregon,
• 1:30:33
Speaker 1: and I think Montana State kind of it's like, you know, more.
• 1:30:36
Speaker 3: Victory, good recall, good recall from the start last year,
• 1:30:39
Speaker 3: very slow start, very slow, very slow.
• 1:30:41
Speaker 2: I'm gonna ride with you, yeah, I mean, look, this
• 1:30:45
Speaker 2: is our parlay. So I got right with the boy.
• 1:30:47
Speaker 2: I got to back my boy. I'm thinking Oregon is
• 1:30:49
Speaker 2: his national champion, and then he's also he's going Montana
• 1:30:52
Speaker 2: State out of the Week one of college football.
• 1:30:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, Oregon, who also was the number one seed, won
• 1:30:58
Speaker 1: the Big Ten and then was in a dog fight
• 1:31:00
Speaker 1: with Idaho State and two other schlups.
• 1:31:03
Speaker 2: Was it Boise State? Yeah, listen again, I'm backing you.
• 1:31:08
  Speaker 2: Trust you.
