- 0:55Speaker 3: Have we living?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Oh?
- 0:56Speaker 3: Doing great? Doing great?
- 0:59Speaker 5: What's your There's some sport responsibilities right now because obviously
- 1:04Speaker 5: you're heavy into football during football season. Gymnastics is a
- 1:08Speaker 5: big one for you. Just had those national championships. L
- 1:11Speaker 5: s U has a great run finishing second in the country.
- 1:14Speaker 5: Where are we at now?
- 1:16Speaker 6: So so I do work with baseball, So there's all.
- 1:19Speaker 6: There's the baseball components still going on. You know, this
- 1:21Speaker 6: time of year, it definitely does slow down a good
- 1:23Speaker 6: bit from the medical side. You got baseball going on,
- 1:25Speaker 6: you got softball going on right now, where that's pretty
- 1:29Speaker 6: much all that's left, you know, for the next the
- 1:31Speaker 6: next couple of months. But there's so much prep that
- 1:33Speaker 6: that now goes.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Into year round.
- 1:35Speaker 6: You know, we're we're we're doing physicals, young guys coming in,
- 1:38Speaker 6: We're we're playing stuff out. Actually right now, there's uh,
- 1:41Speaker 6: I just got back late last night from Birmingham. There's
- 1:43Speaker 6: there's we had the SEC medical meetings, uh, all that
- 1:47Speaker 6: type of stuff, and you know, so it's it's it's
- 1:49Speaker 6: a lot more administrative this time of year.
- 1:52Speaker 3: There's always stuff.
- 1:53Speaker 7: So the medical miss So is this where all the
- 1:54Speaker 7: SEC doctors get together, share some laughs, yeah, beverages.
- 1:59Speaker 2: But what like what do we always says?
- 2:02Speaker 7: Is it continue in education, bouncing ideas off each other?
- 2:05Speaker 2: What is it?
- 2:06Speaker 3: So it's it's kind of all the above.
- 2:08Speaker 6: So we'll meet and you know, it's basically it started
- 2:10Speaker 6: off as a smaller event where you'd have a lot
- 2:12Speaker 6: of the athletic trainers and and at least some of
- 2:14Speaker 6: the head team docks and we'd go to we'd go
- 2:16Speaker 6: to Opelaika actually was where it was oh my god, Yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 6: they had the trench Jones so there and then that
- 2:21Speaker 6: was actually it's a little more fun because there's more
- 2:24Speaker 6: intimate there, like they'd have like a casino night like
- 2:26Speaker 6: where they'd have like the tables brought in and it
- 2:27Speaker 6: was it was actually a really cool event because you
- 2:29Speaker 6: actually get to see these people that you know, we
- 2:31Speaker 6: might see them a couple of times a year across
- 2:33Speaker 6: the sideline and we have a brief interaction. You actually
- 2:35Speaker 6: had to know the people across the sec And that's
- 2:37Speaker 6: also nice for the camaraderie cause that way, if we've
- 2:39Speaker 6: got one of our athletes and you say they're you know,
- 2:41Speaker 6: playing in Tuscaloosa and we're not there. You know, if
- 2:44Speaker 6: we don't travel with every sport, I can call and
- 2:45Speaker 6: say I know the guy, like hey, let me call
- 2:47Speaker 6: their doc and I already already kind of know them.
- 2:49Speaker 6: But we talk about rule changes, you know, things that
- 2:51Speaker 6: might affect us medically.
- 2:53Speaker 3: You know, there's on the sideline.
- 2:54Speaker 6: You know, for example, we have the iPads that we
- 2:56Speaker 6: were able to get replaced so we can go back
- 2:58Speaker 6: and watch the play. That was something we had to
- 3:00Speaker 6: kind of lobby for because the coaching staff and everybody
- 3:02Speaker 6: had him. But We're like, you know, can we have
- 3:04Speaker 6: one that's more rapid so that if you know, if
- 3:05Speaker 6: you go down with the injury, we can now pull
- 3:07Speaker 6: it up. And so new rule changes things like that.
- 3:10Speaker 6: There's you know, we talk about things across the sec
- 3:12Speaker 6: that maybe we need to do a better job with.
- 3:13Speaker 6: You know, each year there seems to be a topic
- 3:15Speaker 6: that'll come up. You know, one year it might be
- 3:17Speaker 6: you know, how can we do better with the mental
- 3:18Speaker 6: health side of it? What are we what are we lacking?
- 3:20Speaker 6: And from the nutrition side of it. And you know
- 3:22Speaker 6: it's become more comprehensive now where it's you know a
- 3:25Speaker 6: lot of us there, our dieticians come, our physical therapist
- 3:27Speaker 6: was there. You know, we have our mental health folks
- 3:29Speaker 6: there now. So it's it's grown. So that's why we
- 3:31Speaker 6: had to move it to Birmingham. It got too big
- 3:33Speaker 6: for where we were.
- 3:34Speaker 7: You were like, go to these things and you're walking
- 3:37Speaker 7: down the hallway opposite direction of like the doctor for
- 3:40Speaker 7: Florida and never give a shoulder check when you pass them.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah, there, there's there's there's some of that that happens.
- 3:45Speaker 3: You know, there's there's some rivalry. For sure.
- 3:48Speaker 2: We're not allowing you to be the friends with Florida.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Oh no, we can't.
- 3:51Speaker 2: We can't any I think anybody else is a pretty
- 3:53Speaker 2: fair game.
- 3:54Speaker 6: I think all things games. It's hard for me because
- 3:56Speaker 6: he's actually a really nice guy.
- 3:58Speaker 5: You know.
- 3:58Speaker 6: It's hard though, y'all know I have as much hatred
- 4:01Speaker 6: for the for gains of as anybody, but h I
- 4:03Speaker 6: will say, it's it's he's a nice guy.
- 4:06Speaker 2: That's that's front. That's a front. Doctor.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I'm trying to think who's who's Alabama's team doctor.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:14Speaker 6: It's an interesting topic because some potential changes actually went
- 4:18Speaker 6: on there, so.
- 4:19Speaker 3: So I don't know there.
- 4:20Speaker 6: I thin there's some politics involved historically, you know, you
- 4:22Speaker 6: had the same team docs for Auburn and Alabama, which
- 4:25Speaker 6: was the Andrews group.
- 4:26Speaker 3: And who's an LSU guy? Right, Who's an LSU guy?
- 4:29Speaker 6: Which makes it more interesting And I don't know where
- 4:32Speaker 6: there's apparently been some.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Possible shifting, So I don't know.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Yeah, Okay, actually had no one at the conference this
- 4:37Speaker 6: year from their their trainers the bar there, so I
- 4:39Speaker 6: don't know if that was just coincidental or I think
- 4:41Speaker 6: there's some potential yeah, okay stuff brewing there.
- 4:44Speaker 3: You go.
- 4:45Speaker 7: So, guess did you when you ask that question instead
- 4:48Speaker 7: of the doctor, who's just with all the doctors?
- 4:51Speaker 3: I was looking at general directions.
- 4:52Speaker 2: You looked at me and said, who's the Alabama doctor?
- 4:55Speaker 3: I know you didn't know.
- 4:58Speaker 5: The only reason you know who ls U's is because
- 4:59Speaker 5: he's it's by you every Wednesday.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:05Speaker 5: I did come in today and you mentioned baseball, and
- 5:09Speaker 5: I started looking up some different things that I wanted
- 5:11Speaker 5: to talk about with you. And I'm a big Braves fan,
- 5:15Speaker 5: and I started thinking about Man, they had some some
- 5:17Speaker 5: pictures go on the shelf pretty early and like with
- 5:20Speaker 5: elbow stuff, but they're not gonna be out for the
- 5:22Speaker 5: full year. It's like bone spurs floating around in their
- 5:25Speaker 5: elbow that had How does that like, how does that happen?
- 5:30Speaker 5: How do you figure out that that is happening? And
- 5:32Speaker 5: then what do you do once you know that that's
- 5:34Speaker 5: what's going on?
- 5:35Speaker 6: Yeah, So there's there's obviously the elbow injury we think
- 5:38Speaker 6: about the most is that Tommy John injury. We know
- 5:40Speaker 6: that one's gonna be a year, right they're out, So
- 5:42Speaker 6: there are other things with the elbow that you will see,
- 5:44Speaker 6: you know, I think a lot of what you're seeing
- 5:46Speaker 6: with some of these guys that they're having what we
- 5:47Speaker 6: call a free body and that can technically happen in
- 5:49Speaker 6: any joint. Most of the times it's gonna be a
- 5:52Speaker 6: little piece of cartilage, maybe a little piece of bone.
- 5:54Speaker 6: Sometimes it can be traumatic, you know, you fall down,
- 5:56Speaker 6: you have a little fracture or.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Something chips off.
- 5:58Speaker 6: But a lot of times in these guys, they look,
- 6:00Speaker 6: you're throwing that much, you're gonna have some wear and
- 6:02Speaker 6: tear to the carlage. You're gonna have a little bit
- 6:04Speaker 6: of early arthritic changes, even in these guys who are
- 6:06Speaker 6: great with their health and everything, and then that carlage
- 6:08Speaker 6: gets irritated sometimes just that repetitive motion, it can kind
- 6:11Speaker 6: of chip off and break off. And then once it's
- 6:13Speaker 6: in there, you know, it almost can act like a
- 6:15Speaker 6: door jam where certain motions it will kind of catch
- 6:18Speaker 6: and pinch. And then the more times that happens, it
- 6:20Speaker 6: gets inflamed and irritated, and over time it can it
- 6:23Speaker 6: can cause more and more problems. So the surgery is
- 6:26Speaker 6: usually most time it's pretty simple. They go in with
- 6:29Speaker 6: the scope, the scopic, right, yeah, I go with the scope.
- 6:31Speaker 6: They just kind of pull those little pieces out, but
- 6:33Speaker 6: but you know, it is still surgery.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I'll let that heal up.
- 6:36Speaker 5: It's probably though, like when you're looking at it and
- 6:38Speaker 5: you think it's Tommy John and you see, oh no,
- 6:40Speaker 5: it's just like what you call it, like loose bodies.
- 6:42Speaker 5: It's like it's probably a sigh of relief. Yeah, because
- 6:45Speaker 5: it's not gonna be the year long Tommy John surgery.
- 6:48Speaker 5: So if you're just scoping it and you're getting those
- 6:50Speaker 5: things out, like, what does that rehab kind of look like?
- 6:54Speaker 5: Because it's not like you're you know, opening up, you're
- 6:57Speaker 5: not going under the knife, right, But it does feel
- 6:59Speaker 5: like it's still like again, this picture in the Major
- 7:02Speaker 5: League Baseball he had it on February the twenty third,
- 7:06Speaker 5: and he's trying to come back in July.
- 7:07Speaker 6: Yeah, and I think that's and again you also consider
- 7:10Speaker 6: what are you talking about coming back? You know, I
- 7:11Speaker 6: talk to my patients all the time, and it's no
- 7:13Speaker 6: different in my clinic with you know, the rehab for
- 7:15Speaker 6: me and return to work is gonna be different than
- 7:18Speaker 6: a picture. And that's gonna be different than a guy
- 7:20Speaker 6: who works in a plant. You know, I can probably
- 7:21Speaker 6: back at work a couple of days after a procedure
- 7:23Speaker 6: like that, I can pin as sling, I can still
- 7:25Speaker 6: do everything.
- 7:25Speaker 3: I do, but to be a picture.
- 7:27Speaker 6: To get him back throwing, you know you are you
- 7:28Speaker 6: are entering the joint capsule. You do have to let
- 7:31Speaker 6: those those areas heel back up. You do have to
- 7:33Speaker 6: kind of poke some holes in the caps that surrounds it.
- 7:35Speaker 6: That's how you get in there.
- 7:36Speaker 3: And then and then so.
- 7:37Speaker 6: It's gonna be a little irritated, but you'll have him
- 7:38Speaker 6: start moving it quickly because you don't want the able
- 7:41Speaker 6: to get stiff. So you're gonna do some light range
- 7:42Speaker 6: of motion really early after the surgery. And then but
- 7:44Speaker 6: then you got to build back to throwing, especially the
- 7:46Speaker 6: demand these pictures have. So again, if if it was
- 7:49Speaker 6: me today, I guess I'd be back at working a
- 7:51Speaker 6: week probably right, not even that. But but at the
- 7:54Speaker 6: same time, I'm not a picture.
- 7:55Speaker 7: Ye right, So doctor, like when you have an arm
- 7:58Speaker 7: issue and you're let's pitch your quarterback whatever it is,
- 8:01Speaker 7: and you are and you can't throw like you you're
- 8:06Speaker 7: we're done for a couple of weeks, a couple months,
- 8:08Speaker 7: whatever it is, no more throwing. At some point the
- 8:10Speaker 7: throwing becomes part of the rehab. That's part of strengthening
- 8:14Speaker 7: those actual muscles. You can do as many like risk
- 8:17Speaker 7: curls and rubber band stretches and all that stuff as
- 8:20Speaker 7: you want, but at some point the throwing becomes rehab
- 8:24Speaker 7: for that recovery. How involved are you in the discussions
- 8:28Speaker 7: because you got coaches, you got trainers, you got pitching gurus,
- 8:31Speaker 7: whatever it is, How involved are you when that pitch
- 8:33Speaker 7: count Well, we all know the word pitch count or
- 8:35Speaker 7: the term how involved are you with the actual pitch
- 8:39Speaker 7: count when it comes to the rehabilitation, the practicing, the
- 8:42Speaker 7: getting back to that starting or that that game form.
- 8:46Speaker 6: So I think I think on the medical side, it's
- 8:49Speaker 6: interesting because you're not going to find this one agreed upon,
- 8:54Speaker 6: especially wh we're talking about post surgical You know, if
- 8:56Speaker 6: you have if you have a Tommy John surgery, when
- 8:57Speaker 6: do you start throwing? How many pitches can you throw
- 8:59Speaker 6: that first year back? Is there going to be a
- 9:01Speaker 6: pitch count? Because you see, we'll do it with some
- 9:02Speaker 6: guys and you don't do with others. And I think
- 9:04Speaker 6: there's a lot of variabilities. Some of that's gonna is
- 9:06Speaker 6: gonna be based on the surgeon. The surgeons are gonna
- 9:08Speaker 6: make recommendations. They're gonna say, hey, you know, this guy
- 9:11Speaker 6: can't throw until this date. I only want to throw
- 9:13Speaker 6: in this much hint. Then if he's able to pitch
- 9:15Speaker 6: this coming season, we might throw him on a pitch count.
- 9:18Speaker 6: That's the thing, is like, you know that is going
- 9:19Speaker 6: to be all over the map. I think that's gonna
- 9:21Speaker 6: be probably a mutual discussion, usually with the athletic trainer,
- 9:24Speaker 6: the doc who did the surgery, maybe if there's any
- 9:27Speaker 6: other you know, medical people who are really involved, and
- 9:29Speaker 6: maybe maybe with the pitching coach. You get them involved
- 9:31Speaker 6: and say, look, you know, this is what we're comfortable with,
- 9:34Speaker 6: how do you feel about it? Trying to find that
- 9:36Speaker 6: kind of shared decision making the like.
- 9:38Speaker 7: Let's go twenty five pitches today, then let's wait twenty
- 9:41Speaker 7: four hours, we'll evaluate them.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Is it that type of deal?
- 9:43Speaker 3: A lot of times this is as well.
- 9:45Speaker 6: You know, you may have a plan, you know, and
- 9:47Speaker 6: there's all the different kinds of metaphors out there about
- 9:49Speaker 6: how as we make a plan and sayings, But the
- 9:52Speaker 6: end of the day, you make that plan and then
- 9:53Speaker 6: you reevaluate it. And that's the thing I'd tell my
- 9:55Speaker 6: athletes all the time with any injury. It's just I
- 9:56Speaker 6: think this is how you're gonna respond. This is what
- 9:58Speaker 6: we normally see. This one I'm okay with today.
- 10:01Speaker 3: And and again that's where you know you're you're fortunate
- 10:04Speaker 3: when you're playing with the major league team or if
- 10:05Speaker 3: you're playing in a place like LSU or somewhere where
- 10:07Speaker 3: we you have great athletic training staff. We have people.
- 10:09Speaker 3: It's constant communication, eyes on.
- 10:11Speaker 6: It's a little bit harder, you know, weet the high
- 10:12Speaker 6: school kids for example, maybe they don't have a trainer
- 10:13Speaker 6: at their school, or you get a guy that's this
- 10:15Speaker 6: rehabbing somewhere else. But yeah, these you know, major league pitchers,
- 10:18Speaker 6: there's gonna be a very rigid plan to begin with. Yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 6: and if the elball a sudden swells up, they're gonna
- 10:22Speaker 6: change that plan the next day.
- 10:23Speaker 3: You know it's gonna be okay this, We're gonna have
- 10:25Speaker 3: to back off.
- 10:25Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 10:26Speaker 5: You have to, I mean, certainly at this level at
- 10:29Speaker 5: LSU onto the major leagues. Like routine and like what
- 10:33Speaker 5: you do, and like if you're a guy who throws
- 10:36Speaker 5: every weekend and let's say for whatever reason, it rains
- 10:39Speaker 5: and the games you get canceled and you don't throw
- 10:41Speaker 5: like that player is gonna go throw a bullpen because
- 10:44Speaker 5: that arm is used to at this time. I throw
- 10:47Speaker 5: this mini pitches and I have this action, I have
- 10:50Speaker 5: that like they don't even want to take like a
- 10:52Speaker 5: week off of their routine because it is such a
- 10:55Speaker 5: structured this is what he can do, this is what
- 10:57Speaker 5: we want him to do. This is the amount of
- 10:59Speaker 5: pitches that he's going to throw. And so if you
- 11:02Speaker 5: don't pitch and you were scheduled to pitch, you're still
- 11:04Speaker 5: going to get your throws in because it's all about
- 11:06Speaker 5: saying on routine with what you've been doing to build
- 11:08Speaker 5: your arm up.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's it's a good point.
- 11:11Speaker 6: That's such a such a key thing with these guys
- 11:13Speaker 6: is you know there's times you have to change that routine.
- 11:15Speaker 6: You know, if you have a guy that's got a
- 11:16Speaker 6: little bit of elbow soreness and we're trying to determine
- 11:18Speaker 6: man's he got a little bit of an early sprain
- 11:20Speaker 6: or is this little tendonitis or did he maybe have
- 11:22Speaker 6: a small partial tear And sometimes even you get imaging
- 11:24Speaker 6: and it's not one hundred percent clear. So so a
- 11:27Speaker 6: lot of times you got to have that kind of discussion. Again,
- 11:30Speaker 6: that's where we get with the trainers, we get the
- 11:31Speaker 6: coach with the athlete.
- 11:33Speaker 3: They're involved a lot of.
- 11:33Speaker 6: The times say look, I really don't think you should
- 11:35Speaker 6: throw this week, you know, or we only want you
- 11:38Speaker 6: to throw this much, or we don't want you to
- 11:39Speaker 6: go full full, all out, and because they want to
- 11:42Speaker 6: keep that routine because if they can, they're gonna if
- 11:44Speaker 6: it's game's canceled, you know, like I said it horrible
- 11:46Speaker 6: weather or something, they're going to have them in the
- 11:47Speaker 6: bullpen doing some stuff.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Like he's for sure. They don't want to get out
- 11:50Speaker 3: of their routine.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Doc, how does elbow tendonitis?
- 11:54Speaker 3: How does it? You had that, didn't you?
- 11:56Speaker 4: So?
- 11:56Speaker 7: Yeah, it almost ended my career and luckily I found
- 11:59Speaker 7: like the sim cells stuff. Yeah, but I learned a
- 12:01Speaker 7: lot about it at that point. So it was my
- 12:03Speaker 7: understanding of the time you got especially in the elbow.
- 12:05Speaker 7: You you got your golf and your tennis type elbow situation.
- 12:09Speaker 7: It's my understanding that it's basically that all the small
- 12:12Speaker 7: muscle groups around it get a flame. They not up
- 12:15Speaker 7: to protect your arm, and then it puts strain on
- 12:17Speaker 7: the tendon, so like I had all these I remember
- 12:19Speaker 7: one day very vividly in Seattle where it was a
- 12:22Speaker 7: couple hours after practice and it was right in the
- 12:24Speaker 7: middle of training camp. I had just like taking some
- 12:27Speaker 7: golf swings because they had some guys from the Senior
- 12:29Speaker 7: PGA Tour come and like did they did a little
- 12:31Speaker 7: special with some players hitting golf balls with them on
- 12:33Speaker 7: the field. Like all of a sudden, all my forum
- 12:36Speaker 7: just started nodding up and I could feel it, I
- 12:38Speaker 7: could see it, and then it started forming tendinitis on
- 12:42Speaker 7: my elbow. I also learned something that they or throughout
- 12:45Speaker 7: my rehab process. It was like your body knots up
- 12:49Speaker 7: like that to protect to protect from trauma, injury, whatever
- 12:54Speaker 7: it is. It's trying to protect your body somehow, and
- 12:56Speaker 7: sometimes those knots can be there for the rest of
- 12:58Speaker 7: your life unless you get rid of them somehow.
- 13:01Speaker 2: But like, is that kind of.
- 13:03Speaker 7: How like for people that I'm sure there's people out
- 13:05Speaker 7: there have dealt with tennon itis, whether they're tennis players
- 13:07Speaker 7: or their golfers, whatever they do.
- 13:09Speaker 2: How what like what is the actual reason for it?
- 13:12Speaker 8: Is?
- 13:12Speaker 7: It just muscles that contract and they put a lot
- 13:15Speaker 7: of pressure on the tenon or is it actually just
- 13:17Speaker 7: the movement of swinging a tennis racket, swinging a golf club.
- 13:21Speaker 6: Well, the honest answer is is yes, it's it's all
- 13:23Speaker 6: the above. You know, you'll you'll have you'll have these
- 13:26Speaker 6: more acute settings where there is an injury that triggered it,
- 13:29Speaker 6: either like a very traumatic like you fell and caught yourself,
- 13:31Speaker 6: you kind of irritated those muscles, kind of get irritata,
- 13:33Speaker 6: spas them up, and then the tendons sort of overreact.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Or sometimes it is more that repetitive over and over
- 13:39Speaker 6: and over that we see. You know, that's that's the
- 13:41Speaker 6: probably more common way we see it. You know, you know,
- 13:43Speaker 6: the trauma does occur, but most of the times it's
- 13:46Speaker 6: it's the guy who's golfing all the time and his
- 13:47Speaker 6: elbow's getting sore. And and yeah, to your point, golfer's
- 13:50Speaker 6: elbow and tennis elbow, that's the outside and inside of
- 13:52Speaker 6: your elbow were the two most common spots in the
- 13:54Speaker 6: elbow that you're gonna see tendon itis. And that's what
- 13:57Speaker 6: those two conditions are. And I tell patients all the time,
- 14:00Speaker 6: these are weird problems. Tendonitis in general, you don't think
- 14:04Speaker 6: of it doesn't sound that serious. Oh, he's just got tendonitis.
- 14:06Speaker 6: And medically speaking, on the one hand, it's not. But
- 14:09Speaker 6: on the other hand, it can be brutal because it
- 14:10Speaker 6: can affect your mechanics, your strength as an athlete. It
- 14:13Speaker 6: can it can be a thing that ends people's careers,
- 14:15Speaker 6: you know, And you will see that sometimes and and
- 14:18Speaker 6: it's not that uncommon, and it can be very hard
- 14:20Speaker 6: to treat. You know, you talked about having to have
- 14:22Speaker 6: stem cells. That's one of the newer things.
- 14:23Speaker 3: That we're able to do.
- 14:24Speaker 6: But even you know, even with that, I tell people
- 14:26Speaker 6: all the time that there's just there's no like so
- 14:29Speaker 6: many things.
- 14:29Speaker 3: We know what we're gonna do.
- 14:30Speaker 6: If you have a femur fracture, we're gonna go back in.
- 14:32Speaker 6: We're gonna have to put that, reset the bone. We're
- 14:34Speaker 6: gonna we know exactly how to fix that. With the
- 14:36Speaker 6: tendon ititis, it's a weird problem.
- 14:38Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:39Speaker 3: One guy has it and he's like, oh, yeah, I
- 14:40Speaker 3: took advil for a week and it was gone. And
- 14:41Speaker 3: then you talk to somebody else like, man, it's been
- 14:43Speaker 3: three years. I've been to the gym. I've been to
- 14:45Speaker 3: them PTE I took meds.
- 14:47Speaker 7: Is it different? Is the reason for that? Potentially different causes?
- 14:51Speaker 7: Like mine was caused because of muscles in my form
- 14:54Speaker 7: nodding up and pulling on the tendon. It wasn't because
- 14:58Speaker 7: it was just like like you said, if you're playing
- 15:00Speaker 7: tennis or whatever, it's just repetitive movement on that tendon.
- 15:03Speaker 7: It was caused because of muscles not up and like
- 15:05Speaker 7: those muscles just never at least, So is it not
- 15:07Speaker 7: like I was told this is all things I'm told
- 15:09Speaker 7: idn't obviously know that's going into it, but like it
- 15:13Speaker 7: just reduces the blood flow to that area, which reduces
- 15:16Speaker 7: the healing.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Well in tendons, by their nature have a poor blood flow,
- 15:19Speaker 3: and that's part of the problem.
- 15:19Speaker 6: That's why it's so unpredictable. If you ever you ever
- 15:21Speaker 6: look at a piece of steak that's some time to
- 15:22Speaker 6: my patient's lot, it's this red piece of meat and
- 15:24Speaker 6: then you can see the parts where it sometimes turns
- 15:26Speaker 6: into tendon and that yeah, comes white. Well, why is
- 15:28Speaker 6: one part red one part white? A lot of that's
- 15:30Speaker 6: the blood flow to those areas. Tendons don't have great
- 15:32Speaker 6: blood flow, and that's why that's why a lot of
- 15:34Speaker 6: stuff we do in orthopedics is hard. Tendons don't have
- 15:36Speaker 6: a good blood flow, cartilage doesn't always have a good
- 15:38Speaker 6: blood flow. Ligaments to a lot of these structures that
- 15:40Speaker 6: can be a little bit difficult to work with. That's
- 15:42Speaker 6: a big reason why sometimes we have to do something
- 15:44Speaker 6: to help it, whether that's surgery or microfracture surgery, is
- 15:47Speaker 6: that like potentially Yeah for the cartilage. Yeah, you're trying
- 15:50Speaker 6: to stimulate blood flow circulation to that area. You're trying
- 15:53Speaker 6: to do things to stimulate healing, and and that's a
- 15:55Speaker 6: lot of what we do, and and that's.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Why sometimes it won't heal.
- 15:58Speaker 6: That's why sometimes you have to go in and do
- 15:59Speaker 6: some of these seedure surgically and things like that. And
- 16:02Speaker 6: that's why if you get arthritis and your knee it
- 16:04Speaker 6: usually gets worse and worse and worse over time.
- 16:06Speaker 3: It's because the body just can't heal that very well.
- 16:08Speaker 6: So it's it's it's I don't know if you want
- 16:10Speaker 6: to say it's a design flaw or whatever, but it's
- 16:11Speaker 6: it's part of how we're made.
- 16:13Speaker 7: I can't tell you exactly all the other body parts,
- 16:15Speaker 7: but from experience, if you get elbowed in and us.
- 16:18Speaker 7: On your right arm, PRP doesn't work. Just maybe it
- 16:21Speaker 7: works on the other arm and the other stuff jump
- 16:24Speaker 7: from experience.
- 16:25Speaker 3: PRB doad work. If you're an NFL quarterback. It doesn't
- 16:28Speaker 3: work if you're enough quarter Okay, fair enough, fair.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Enough, doc.

- 18:53Speaker 3: All right, welcome backin O TV.
- 18:58Speaker 10: You see from.
- 19:01Speaker 2: The Raising Knees studio. Got some good news, Matt. Come
- 19:06Speaker 2: on what you got? You brought some food in?
- 19:08Speaker 3: Uh No, be hungry all right?
- 19:13Speaker 8: Like you're for real hungry because nobody said anything about
- 19:16Speaker 8: food and you're like, and.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I didn't leave.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I was thinking about food before a commercial breaks.
- 19:23Speaker 7: And then you said raising canes and I was like,
- 19:27Speaker 7: Then you said you got good news and I was.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Like, well, I can get you some food here, Bud,
- 19:30Speaker 3: you want some food?
- 19:32Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, I got you next break egg bites, E
- 19:37Speaker 5: white bites. Shut up, no, but I can. This is
- 19:42Speaker 5: other news. O l SU basketball apparently has seven or
- 19:48Speaker 5: eight guys in the fold.
- 19:51Speaker 2: That's huge.
- 19:52Speaker 5: Our guy Will Wade's been making the rounds different media
- 19:55Speaker 5: outlets and says that they have seven or eight guys and.
- 20:00Speaker 3: It's gonna have a European flair to it.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Players from Europe like cheek kissing.
- 20:10Speaker 11: I think it's I think it's gonna be European with
- 20:11Speaker 11: a little bit of American flayer.
- 20:17Speaker 10: All right, double yeah, double cheeks.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, that's so good.
- 20:24Speaker 2: But that's what they do.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I just the fact that your brain went there, I
- 20:32Speaker 2: know so well.
- 20:34Speaker 7: We do have to say like allegedly, allegedly we allegedly
- 20:40Speaker 7: have seven or eight.
- 20:41Speaker 2: One one Will said we've got seven or eight guys.
- 20:46Speaker 10: I'm mad that.
- 20:47Speaker 8: We were like, oh, we got one guy in the
- 20:50Speaker 8: transfer portal, we got two sinees coming in. We got
- 20:53Speaker 8: three players on this team. Like we're sitting up here
- 20:55Speaker 8: talking about it. Literally as soon as the show's over,
- 20:58Speaker 8: it goes on with Rostine.
- 21:00Speaker 10: It was like, we got seven or eight guys.
- 21:01Speaker 11: Look, you know what, whether this influential was listening to us,
- 21:06Speaker 11: it was like, you know what, I need to let
- 21:07Speaker 11: them know.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I need to let the people know. Will. I'd love
- 21:11Speaker 2: for love to know who they are.
- 21:13Speaker 11: I would love to have them officially official. But hey,
- 21:16Speaker 11: if we got seven or eight guys.
- 21:17Speaker 5: It was some there were some interesting things in it
- 21:20Speaker 5: as well, And but.
- 21:23Speaker 10: Is it seven or eight?
- 21:25Speaker 12: We don't see that's that's another.
- 21:28Speaker 11: That's another that's another issue right there, because Wade's direct
- 21:31Speaker 11: quote was we have seven or eight.
- 21:33Speaker 2: It was probably one of the finish line. Seven are
- 21:36Speaker 2: any of them at the finish line? Wouldn't we know that?
- 21:39Speaker 2: He said in seven or eight? In mind in that.
- 21:42Speaker 11: Interview he said, got seven or eight. You're not going
- 21:45Speaker 11: to know about the final rouster till August.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:48Speaker 5: So, and Hunt did a good job writing an article
- 21:52Speaker 5: off of this if you want to watch or sorry
- 21:54Speaker 5: if you want to read that on Louisiana Sports dot Net.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Hunt has that up right now. And one of the
- 22:00Speaker 5: things that caught my attention was will Way talked about
- 22:05Speaker 5: the way they handled it in Raleigh last year at
- 22:08Speaker 5: NC State. He said, one thing we did last year
- 22:11Speaker 5: that I made a mistake on was we basically paid
- 22:14Speaker 5: eleven guys when we went out and got eleven guys
- 22:18Speaker 5: and had a lot of depth, he said in death's
- 22:21Speaker 5: really important for practice. It's not as important for games
- 22:24Speaker 5: when you're only playing seven or eight guys nine macs,
- 22:29Speaker 5: and so we had some dead money on the roster,
- 22:31Speaker 5: which you know, that's one thing that he's trying to
- 22:35Speaker 5: not do here. In Baton, Rouge said we're really going
- 22:38Speaker 5: to pay seven or eight guys at LSU this year,
- 22:41Speaker 5: and we'll fill out the back half of the roster
- 22:43Speaker 5: with some of the guys that can help us in
- 22:46Speaker 5: a pinch if we had to have them go.
- 22:49Speaker 2: So last year, pay eleven guys.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Right, great depth, great practice.
- 22:54Speaker 11: But what tweet four minutes ago from Jeff Goodman. LSU
- 23:01Speaker 11: basketball has landed tel Aviv forward Marcio Santos, big man
- 23:09Speaker 11: who can score, you can defend. Yeah, he's a center
- 23:14Speaker 11: six foot nine average seven points a game for Tel
- 23:17Speaker 11: Aviv during.
- 23:18Speaker 7: This euro League and you score and defend. Oh good,
- 23:22Speaker 7: you got to do both. That's good for basketball.
- 23:25Speaker 12: No, we were talking about it before the show a
- 23:26Speaker 12: little bit matt like. He said.
- 23:30Speaker 11: The thing that stuck out to me the most was
- 23:32Speaker 11: the reason we haven't announced it is because a lot
- 23:34Speaker 11: of these guys are still in the playoffs. My first
- 23:36Speaker 11: thought was high school basketball is over, March Madness is over.
- 23:40Speaker 11: It's got to be the euro League, and we've seen
- 23:43Speaker 11: a lot of the euroleage players. I mentioned the guy
- 23:45Speaker 11: on Monday that not you know, officially official, but he
- 23:49Speaker 11: had been linked to l s U. It is uh
- 23:52Speaker 11: Seliu Niang also from the euro League out there. He's
- 23:56Speaker 11: a six to eight guard forward. So I mean that
- 23:58Speaker 11: name is not official yet, but it's something It has
- 24:00Speaker 11: been floated around too.
- 24:01Speaker 8: Do you look up phonetic spellings? How did you pronounce
- 24:05Speaker 8: that just now? I would not have been able to.
- 24:07Speaker 12: Do that, so pretty confident on the last name.
- 24:13Speaker 11: Iowa State used to have a Gorgas kneeang that played
- 24:15Speaker 11: there a couple of years ago, same same spelling.
- 24:18Speaker 12: So and he was European.
- 24:22Speaker 10: Sorry about to be the European League.
- 24:26Speaker 11: Yeah, we did this this year. They have a lot
- 24:29Speaker 11: of overseas players on their team, and I mean they
- 24:32Speaker 11: had one of the best teams in the country.
- 24:36Speaker 10: M hmm, all right, all right, so four, So.
- 24:42Speaker 2: You said the guy that committed from where?
- 24:44Speaker 10: Tel Aviv? Not a controversial place at all.
- 24:49Speaker 11: The name of the full name of the team is
- 24:51Speaker 11: macave tel Aviv euro but I mean tel.
- 24:54Speaker 12: Aviv everybody does.
- 24:55Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, I heard of it.
- 25:02Speaker 10: We love it.
- 25:03Speaker 11: So that's too official, not counting the guys freshman seven
- 25:08Speaker 11: or eight.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I love that officially, no till August.
- 25:12Speaker 5: Well, look, this is something I don't know how you feel,
- 25:15Speaker 5: but I've been around Will long enough to know that
- 25:18Speaker 5: there's gonna be a roster, it's gonna be from good players.
- 25:21Speaker 2: We don't know where those players are coming from now.
- 25:23Speaker 3: We never know.
- 25:23Speaker 5: With Will, I mean think about when he was recruiting,
- 25:26Speaker 5: he was getting guys from all over the country.
- 25:29Speaker 3: That's not always been the case for LSU basketball.
- 25:31Speaker 5: LSU basketball has always had to really hope that there
- 25:36Speaker 5: was some really good in state talent.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:38Speaker 5: We started talking about like you know, Tyres Thomas, the
- 25:40Speaker 5: Big Baby, and the Temples and like all those names
- 25:43Speaker 5: which were great LSU basketball players, but they're all from
- 25:46Speaker 5: you know, Louisiana.
- 25:48Speaker 2: I mean, we could go on and on. Well it's
- 25:50Speaker 2: taking this show.
- 25:52Speaker 8: Recently, Javonte with Javonte Smart and and Wannie Wilkinson, LSU
- 25:58Speaker 8: basketball posted a video them in the facility yesterday, or
- 26:02Speaker 8: Red posted.
- 26:03Speaker 3: It, Yeah because like their guy's back. Yeah, guys and
- 26:06Speaker 3: back in the fold.
- 26:07Speaker 8: And so Will went to go see Tari when they
- 26:10Speaker 8: played versus the Pelicans.
- 26:12Speaker 5: And really expanded the footprint of who you can recruit
- 26:14Speaker 5: Telshue basketball.
- 26:15Speaker 3: It look the game's change as well, but will change
- 26:17Speaker 3: with it.
- 26:17Speaker 5: And so this first year roster might be a lot
- 26:21Speaker 5: of European players, but the one thing that at least
- 26:24Speaker 5: for me, I'm speaking for myself, I'm going to bank
- 26:27Speaker 5: on is Will Wade having good basketball players.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Yeah, talented basketball players. It might come from all.
- 26:32Speaker 5: Parts of the world, but it is good to hear
- 26:34Speaker 5: that he's got a plan, he's got a roster in place,
- 26:37Speaker 5: and he's got some guys coming in that are freshmen
- 26:41Speaker 5: that we've talked about as well, and they're gonna be,
- 26:45Speaker 5: you know, probably eight deep. He's like, we're paying eleven
- 26:50Speaker 5: guys and be like eight deep, and that's what they're
- 26:52Speaker 5: gonna roll with.
- 26:53Speaker 11: When people here, oh, you're bringing in European players, like,
- 26:56Speaker 11: why can't you get these guys? The guys that are
- 26:59Speaker 11: left in the port I mean may not be better
- 27:01Speaker 11: than these European guys as well. Has changing a little
- 27:04Speaker 11: bit as far as international. Look at some of the
- 27:06Speaker 11: top players in the NBA. Give me a top ten
- 27:09Speaker 11: list of the NBA players, at least half of them
- 27:10Speaker 11: are European in some form or fashion. And these guys
- 27:13Speaker 11: are in the euro League, which is basically a professional
- 27:15Speaker 11: league over there. It is Yeah, I mean, they're they're
- 27:18Speaker 11: ready to go.
- 27:22Speaker 10: What do you I can hear you.
- 27:27Speaker 7: I mean, I'm communicating I'm interacting or I know, but
- 27:30Speaker 7: you're really after those keys.
- 27:32Speaker 12: I can't wait for this all caps there, it is
- 27:34Speaker 12: all caps.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Lets people know what was the all caps?
- 27:38Speaker 7: They take well, somebody, somebody said that we should come
- 27:41Speaker 7: up with a new segment for me called boring.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Or not boring, okay, And so I was like, I
- 27:45Speaker 2: love it.
- 27:47Speaker 7: Like in basketball already having like a safe, complete roster
- 27:50Speaker 7: of good basketball players, it's kind of boring right now
- 27:53Speaker 7: one person on the roster and rolling the dice in
- 27:56Speaker 7: Europe is absolutely not boring.
- 27:58Speaker 10: This season is going to be elect track.
- 28:00Speaker 2: It's gonna be great. We're not gonna I'm gonna be
- 28:02Speaker 2: back in the mat.
- 28:03Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 28:04Speaker 5: My kids love going. When there's a reason to go,
- 28:09Speaker 5: love it. That's probably the thing to go to.
- 28:11Speaker 12: Better guy, Chris Blair is getting out of pronunciation guy.
- 28:13Speaker 12: As we speak, he's like, let.
- 28:14Speaker 11: Me write these down, get these names correct. John Brady
- 28:19Speaker 11: doesn't have a chance.
- 28:20Speaker 2: He's just gonna say.
- 28:22Speaker 8: Prayers for John Brady. He's gonna be struggling.
- 28:27Speaker 5: Look shout out to all the play by plays and
- 28:31Speaker 5: our guy CV.
- 28:31Speaker 2: You're right. And I've told Elandra this.
- 28:35Speaker 5: I probably said it on the air before, but Elandro
- 28:37Speaker 5: was with me right before it happened. I was doing
- 28:39Speaker 5: a show with Bobby Carpenter at walk Ons for serious
- 28:42Speaker 5: and we're.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Playing u c l A. Two years ago.
- 28:45Speaker 2: It was hotter than hot.
- 28:46Speaker 4: It was.
- 28:47Speaker 10: It was hot.
- 28:48Speaker 5: I mean I showed up to that did you you
- 28:52Speaker 5: did in the trailer you did right after you and
- 28:56Speaker 5: so I was doing that show pretty much like not
- 28:59Speaker 5: of until but basically, yeah, so I and l Su
- 29:04Speaker 5: couldn't get a golf card over there because they said
- 29:06Speaker 5: they were all busy, which I find very hard to believe.
- 29:08Speaker 5: But anyways, I'm I'm jogging, I'm hitting the jog up,
- 29:12Speaker 5: so I'm sweating pretty good.
- 29:14Speaker 10: To the stadium.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's a good slight job.
- 29:17Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 29:17Speaker 5: And so I'm trying to change church too, because I
- 29:19Speaker 5: ain't doing the broadcast all sweaty and nasty, so I'm
- 29:22Speaker 5: changing it. And then I get to starting lineups is
- 29:24Speaker 5: which kind of where I start the broadcast, and oh,
- 29:27Speaker 5: my gosh, that was a mistake because U c l
- 29:30Speaker 5: A had a lot.
- 29:32Speaker 10: Of Pacific Island, my.
- 29:38Speaker 5: Goodness, and there was no pronunciation guy on their flip card.
- 29:43Speaker 2: No, it was not gonna work here anymore.
- 29:48Speaker 12: You have a lot of Bob.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Maybe it's a boy.
- 29:51Speaker 11: Did you have elite pass rushing Cameron La? Yeah, yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 11: on never forget.
- 30:00Speaker 2: That senior name.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. And when T Bob said it, I
- 30:03Speaker 3: was like.
- 30:03Speaker 2: No, like are you serious?
- 30:05Speaker 11: Well he sent me a text for the lower third
- 30:07Speaker 11: like coming to the break here we have Cameron Lattu
- 30:09Speaker 11: and I was.
- 30:10Speaker 12: Like, what's Cameron Lawtu? It's senior boy he graduated last year.
- 30:12Speaker 5: And I was like, all right, I had to correct,
- 30:14Speaker 5: Like it's one of those deals. I had to correct
- 30:16Speaker 5: him on air because like I couldn't just let it go.
- 30:18Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Wati was a great kid too, Like he like one
- 30:22Speaker 5: of those After we interviewed him, even though T Bob
- 30:24Speaker 5: called him by the wrong name and the wrong school. Uh,
- 30:27Speaker 5: he came up to me and was like asking for
- 30:29Speaker 5: advice and like hey, you know what should I do
- 30:32Speaker 5: this week?
- 30:32Speaker 3: And blah blah blah.
- 30:33Speaker 5: So I always root for that guy, even though T
- 30:34Speaker 5: Bob probably come to our house disrespected, right.
- 30:43Speaker 3: I was.
- 30:45Speaker 8: I was in the elevator when Jake ran onto the
- 30:47Speaker 8: elevator and I was like, oh wow, he really did run.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Over here sweating.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Oh, And then I get there and it's like just
- 30:55Speaker 5: the alphabet soup for like the first name Bruh.
- 31:00Speaker 10: I would have panicked.
- 31:00Speaker 2: It was like the first day of Super Bowl, Who
- 31:03Speaker 2: I have a bar?
- 31:04Speaker 11: By Jamela the guy obviously, and then the normal spelling
- 31:10Speaker 11: mat of that if you were wondering just phonetically.
- 31:13Speaker 7: Definitely looks just like that, the normal way it sounds
- 31:15Speaker 7: like it that's spelled say it. I think the key
- 31:21Speaker 7: to any of that is to just say with your
- 31:22Speaker 7: chest out and just understand that we're all from different
- 31:25Speaker 7: places in the world and I might not know exactly
- 31:27Speaker 7: how to say it.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna try.
- 31:30Speaker 11: Chris is textan Will wait right now. He's like, come, man,
- 31:33Speaker 11: I mean, how many more of these we got? He's
- 31:38Speaker 11: like seven or eight?
- 31:43Speaker 3: All right?
- 31:44Speaker 5: Uh, that's good news, great news actually, and uh we're
- 31:47Speaker 5: gonna have Will in the show here pretty soon, by
- 31:48Speaker 5: the way.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Trying to make it happen in studio.
- 31:53Speaker 8: Though, and not just why is he on everybody else's
- 31:55Speaker 8: but ours our time slots?
- 31:58Speaker 10: Like why is he on with Stein? Wasn't he on
- 32:02Speaker 10: Louisiana loaded or something? Or no? Probably I mean I
- 32:05Speaker 10: saw him somewhere else, and no, I.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Won't even studio though, yeah, about half my fault. Like
- 32:13Speaker 5: that's when I wanted to work out. I feel like
- 32:15Speaker 5: you'd be really good.
- 32:16Speaker 10: Come in at nine am and we're good.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Yeah, seven seven seven, start the show with you.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, nothing happens in basketball before seven thirty.
- 32:27Speaker 7: No, right, usually nothing happens in sports before ten because
- 32:30Speaker 7: it always happens.
- 32:31Speaker 10: That Literally, like, hey, is O tb off air? Perfect
- 32:36Speaker 10: break it now go yes?
- 32:39Speaker 11: By the way, that was a recorded interview with ralth
- 32:41Speaker 11: Stein and he decided to publish it at like ten
- 32:44Speaker 11: thirty yesterday.
- 32:46Speaker 2: It was not a lot.
- 32:47Speaker 5: All right, I'm gonna I'm gonna reach out to Whill
- 32:49Speaker 5: like right now, we're gonna we're scheduled.
- 32:50Speaker 10: Come on, Will when you out.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Next Friday, next Wednesday, Friday, right.
- 32:58Speaker 10: In the following Monday, don't you here?
- 33:00Speaker 2: Yeah? Of course.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, who's gonna ask basketball questions to Flinds?
- 33:03Speaker 7: That That's what I'm saying. He's gonna be like, man,
- 33:06Speaker 7: these guys don't know what they're talking about. Is that
- 33:07Speaker 7: Flynn guy?
- 33:09Speaker 8: Well, he's gonna I'm not sure if I understand what
- 33:12Speaker 8: you're asking, but.
- 33:15Speaker 2: You literally call star women's materials. That's kind of what
- 33:20Speaker 2: I want to know.
- 33:24Speaker 10: Whatever, But.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Why would that be your question?
- 33:29Speaker 2: I don't know. Curious it's the leather, but is it
- 33:33Speaker 2: all leather?
- 33:35Speaker 3: Yeah? Okay, come up with a better one.
- 33:39Speaker 5: If he does, come throw that one away, store it
- 33:43Speaker 5: somewhere where we don't see it again, and then come
- 33:45Speaker 5: up with the one.
- 33:47Speaker 2: It makes a difference.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Yea.

- 35:53Speaker 5: so down at the Senior Bawl Hall of Fame golf tournament.
- 35:58Speaker 5: I did see Scott Cochrane, oh LSU grad but obviously
- 36:03Speaker 5: known for being the Alabama strength coach, was our strength
- 36:06Speaker 5: coach here at LSU before he went on to at
- 36:09Speaker 5: the time, he went to the Hornets basketball team and
- 36:11Speaker 5: then he went to Alabama with coach Saban. He's now
- 36:15Speaker 5: a head football coach in Division two. But saw him
- 36:19Speaker 5: catching up with Hims like, you know, what are you
- 36:20Speaker 5: doing now? I'm like doing a couple of radio shows
- 36:22Speaker 5: every day. It's like I do morning show with Flynn.
- 36:26Speaker 5: Actually he goes, and now you don't. I was like, yeah,
- 36:30Speaker 5: he goes. I don't remember much about those days a
- 36:33Speaker 5: long time ago, but I remember one thing that guy hated.
- 36:35Speaker 3: To wake up early.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Oh okay, well, that's good memorable stuff.
- 36:41Speaker 3: And I was like, all right.
- 36:43Speaker 2: I was like, he's there, actually every day, he's there
- 36:45Speaker 2: like a six twenty every day. He's like ah no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 36:55Speaker 3: He did have a hat that said yeah, I'm sure
- 36:57Speaker 3: he did.
- 36:58Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 36:59Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, Well I'm glad I made an impression you did.
- 37:05Speaker 5: I mean literally like, nah, no, no, no, I mean that
- 37:07Speaker 5: guy has. It's been a long time that guy has,
- 37:11Speaker 5: you know, twenty something years. Also a lot of probably
- 37:14Speaker 5: self inflicted head trauma as well, baking his head against
- 37:20Speaker 5: the wall trying to get people fired up.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Yeah, but to remember that good on me. It's accurate,
- 37:30Speaker 5: very accurate. You're I mean you, but you're in it now,
- 37:33Speaker 5: you're in this minute.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I thought i'd be used to it by now.
- 37:35Speaker 2: You're still not. Oh no, I still haven't changed the
- 37:39Speaker 2: nighttime routine.
- 37:40Speaker 3: I don't know when. No, it doesn't.
- 37:42Speaker 2: I fell asleep like twelve thirty last night.
- 37:43Speaker 3: How many years have I been.
- 37:46Speaker 10: Gosh, what time did you fall asleep?
- 37:48Speaker 3: Less night?
- 37:49Speaker 6: Oh no, oh no, no, no, I'm almost there with you.
- 37:57Speaker 12: I'm normally like early Rouser, like a bit like eleven.
- 38:01Speaker 11: Oh dude, it was like eleven forty five for me,
- 38:03Speaker 11: got in bed, just couldn't fall asleep. Normally not an issue.
- 38:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I'm eleven.
- 38:08Speaker 5: Usually you start to show at ten, watch it till eleven,
- 38:10Speaker 5: go to bed.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Liked the.
- 38:14Speaker 12: Somewhere between ten and thirty eleven.
- 38:18Speaker 2: It is five forty Yeah, what do you five fifteen?
- 38:22Speaker 3: Oh?
- 38:23Speaker 2: Or the break is the worm?
- 38:24Speaker 3: So you do like it?
- 38:26Speaker 2: No?
- 38:26Speaker 7: I hate it. That's why I do it. Mental toughness,
- 38:29Speaker 7: like David Goggins. That's what basically people call me that.
- 38:35Speaker 7: I've said it before he came. So David Goggins came
- 38:37Speaker 7: and spoke to us in Seattle one time. People bring
- 38:41Speaker 7: motivational speakers in and he started talking about his lifestyle
- 38:44Speaker 7: and like how he decided tough.
- 38:48Speaker 5: That I could not remember who you're hearing me out
- 38:54Speaker 5: was the mentalist because I was telling Katie about the
- 38:57Speaker 5: segment and how lame Nick's answer was, and I was like,
- 39:00Speaker 5: I cannot remember a Lodgers. All I can remember was
- 39:03Speaker 5: Martha Stewart. That's all I could remember. That's all right, squirrel.
- 39:10Speaker 7: I mean it told us all the things that you
- 39:11Speaker 7: would think I do these things. I do things that
- 39:15Speaker 7: I hate because it makes me stronger. It makes me better,
- 39:19Speaker 7: And he started talking about I hate running, so I
- 39:21Speaker 7: just started running because I'm training my body to overcome anything.
- 39:26Speaker 7: And a lot of stuff was very inspirational, but a
- 39:29Speaker 7: lot of the stuff was super over the top. Like
- 39:31Speaker 7: by the end of it, I was like, you know,
- 39:32Speaker 7: we were kind of in front of it, like divorce
- 39:35Speaker 7: my wife because I loved her too much.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I wanted to be tougher.
- 39:41Speaker 8: I do overcome sadness, do things that I don't like
- 39:44Speaker 8: to do, like the running.
- 39:46Speaker 10: I don't like to do it.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Getting that sweet spot it does feel good.
- 39:50Speaker 7: There was a lot of good messaging in it, but
- 39:53Speaker 7: a lot of it was like, that's kind of over the top,
- 39:55Speaker 7: Like you probably you could be tough about that. And
- 39:58Speaker 7: then like after I got done talk and the coaches like, yeah,
- 40:01Speaker 7: you know, sometimes you got to pick through the bones
- 40:02Speaker 7: to get through the meat, right a little bit. Yeah,
- 40:04Speaker 7: that's definitely one of those situations.
- 40:06Speaker 11: Super Press Good Takeaways from David got promoted because I
- 40:10Speaker 11: been working overtime.
- 40:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 40:12Speaker 5: Now this might be this might be because of our fathers,
- 40:15Speaker 5: but me and e Landra, I think share the same
- 40:17Speaker 5: thought on this, Like if you're like feeling a little
- 40:20Speaker 5: under the weather.
- 40:21Speaker 2: I think you can mentally beat that for sure.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Like my dad used to always say sicknesses.
- 40:27Speaker 10: Of mindset paint his weakness and body.
- 40:30Speaker 5: And I think your dad, being a marine two, also
- 40:32Speaker 5: has the same hime. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 40:34Speaker 2: I mean, can you imagine how much bigger I am
- 40:36Speaker 2: than a little virus?
- 40:37Speaker 12: I don't, right, they're scared of me.
- 40:39Speaker 3: My dad's seventy years old.
- 40:40Speaker 5: Yeah right, He's retired twice and still works because he
- 40:43Speaker 5: can't like this just who he is. I don't remember
- 40:47Speaker 5: a day ever in my life that he called sick
- 40:50Speaker 5: into work, like and y'all know, like he's had some
- 40:54Speaker 5: police stuff for an idiot tried to run him over,
- 40:57Speaker 5: got a concussion, and like that was not that long ago.
- 41:00Speaker 3: And again he's seventy. He had excuses, he had he
- 41:02Speaker 3: had chances.
- 41:03Speaker 5: And like my stepmom had to be like, you're not
- 41:06Speaker 5: going to work today, Yeah you were, You're not.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Clear and to go to work.
- 41:10Speaker 5: So I mean some of that stuff I do think
- 41:13Speaker 5: is like, even if it's not medically true, I do
- 41:17Speaker 5: think there is a power of the mine.
- 41:18Speaker 8: I think there's a power of the mine for sure.
- 41:21Speaker 3: Yes, Like.
- 41:24Speaker 7: There's so many studies done with placebos and people are
- 41:26Speaker 7: getting taken to the CBO effects and like they and
- 41:28Speaker 7: it has the actual same effects that some other things do. Now,
- 41:32Speaker 7: of course that's not in everything. We get that there's
- 41:35Speaker 7: certain yeah, things that they can't do, but it can do.
- 41:38Speaker 7: It can overcome most things. If you believe that it's
- 41:41Speaker 7: going to work, I think there's a better chance.
- 41:43Speaker 2: That it is going.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:44Speaker 8: I feel myself getting sick, and I'm like, you're not
- 41:46Speaker 8: getting sick, You're good. Yeah, And I act like I'm
- 41:48Speaker 8: not sick and I haven't got sick since I last
- 41:52Speaker 8: year whenever I got either COVID or the flu and
- 41:56Speaker 8: food poisoning back to back.
- 41:58Speaker 10: It was awful.
- 41:59Speaker 8: But I was so skinny, Like I want that kind
- 42:03Speaker 8: of dabbing to me again.
- 42:06Speaker 10: Yeah, did not eat for two weeks.
- 42:08Speaker 12: I'm just gonna run up asking people to call for owner.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yeah. So you talking about Placibus too.
- 42:13Speaker 7: It's like if you're buying like a vitamin or a
- 42:16Speaker 7: somethingment that you that you've heard that it works, and
- 42:19Speaker 7: you think it's going to work, yeah, Like you almost
- 42:21Speaker 7: don't want somebody to like ruin that for you, because
- 42:23Speaker 7: if if if you're buying a placebo. You're still buying something,
- 42:27Speaker 7: even if it's not chemically doing.
- 42:29Speaker 12: You're buying the mind to this is what you're doing a.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Lot of times. It makes it work. Beat it, you're sick,
- 42:36Speaker 2: beat it, just beat it, all right.
- 42:38Speaker 5: We'll take break more ot B when we come back
- 42:40Speaker 5: here live from the Raisin Kin Studio.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Off the bench, I gonna see.

- 42:54Speaker 5: to paper, You've probably drawn it multiple times of this
- 42:57Speaker 5: is what I want whenever I build my pool in
- 43:00Speaker 5: my backyard.
- 43:01Speaker 3: That's great.
