- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 0:55Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 3: All right, we're back, We're back. Welcome back, Welcome back man.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Welcome back man. It's been a jam pack week. Shot
- 1:07Speaker 4: to everybody that got the book out in stores. Now
- 1:11Speaker 4: you deserve to be rich for sure.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:13Speaker 4: We had, you know, a lot going on. We did
- 1:15Speaker 4: the book signings, We've done market Mondays, we've done Blackout.
- 1:21Speaker 4: It's a lot going on right now, man, for sure.
- 1:24Speaker 4: But uh, we're gonna finish the game strong. And this
- 1:28Speaker 4: is something that's vitally important because we haven't done it
- 1:32Speaker 4: in a while. We have a few episodes, but they
- 1:34Speaker 4: date back years ago when we actually break down stocks
- 1:40Speaker 4: from a very you know, beginning level, and we know
- 1:43Speaker 4: we have market Mondays every single week shot then. But
- 1:46Speaker 4: that show has become so much of a cultural phenomenon
- 1:51Speaker 4: that it's kind of like double Dutch if if you
- 1:54Speaker 4: don't have some level of education, that sometimes the conversations
- 1:58Speaker 4: might get a little intimidating.
- 2:00Speaker 6: Our conversations have advanced as the audience has matured, as
- 2:03Speaker 6: the earl has been watching and educated themselves.
- 2:06Speaker 3: It's not a beginning course anymore, for sure. But which
- 2:10Speaker 3: is good.
- 2:11Speaker 4: This is the perfect time that revisited the start because
- 2:13Speaker 4: there's still millions the vast majority of people still have
- 2:17Speaker 4: not invested into the stock market. There's still millions of
- 2:20Speaker 4: people that have not invested into the stock market. There's
- 2:23Speaker 4: still millions of people that are still intimidated about stocks.
- 2:25Speaker 4: There's still millions of people that don't have a retirement account.
- 2:29Speaker 4: There's still millions of people out there that have never
- 2:33Speaker 4: made a trade. So it's beneficial to bring it back
- 2:39Speaker 4: and to you know, have conversations for those millions of
- 2:43Speaker 4: people out there right because there's a lot. So that's
- 2:46Speaker 4: what we're going through today. This is how to begin
- 2:49Speaker 4: in stocks, this is how to get started investing, and
- 2:53Speaker 4: it's perfect time because a lot of people have New
- 2:55Speaker 4: Year's resolutions to you know, do better with their finance.
- 2:59Speaker 4: That's like the number one resolution for people to do
- 3:01Speaker 4: better with finances, so to save more money. To start
- 3:04Speaker 4: investing too, and part of that a major part of
- 3:06Speaker 4: that education. So a lot of people have asked me,
- 3:10Speaker 4: like if I never invested, where do I go?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Like?
- 3:13Speaker 4: What video do I watch? If I never invested, I
- 3:15Speaker 4: want to start? What do I if I want to
- 3:16Speaker 4: tell my teach my kids how to invest? Like where
- 3:19Speaker 4: do I start?
- 3:19Speaker 6: That usually is like the number one question is like
- 3:21Speaker 6: if I had five thousand dollars or where should I
- 3:24Speaker 6: put it in the market? Well, first of all, do
- 3:27Speaker 6: you have a brokerage account? So like I feel like
- 3:30Speaker 6: we haven't gotten to that point, we got to ask
- 3:31Speaker 6: that a lot.
- 3:32Speaker 3: What brokege account we're using? How we open the broken account?
- 3:34Speaker 6: Yeah, we talk about fuge is and we talk about options,
- 3:37Speaker 6: but do you even know how to open an account?
- 3:39Speaker 3: That part is being left out.
- 3:40Speaker 4: So this is this is it. So we got a
- 3:42Speaker 4: special guest, Chris saying, somebody that I've be't seen on
- 3:45Speaker 4: YouTube for a while. Yes, we got a chance to
- 3:49Speaker 4: connect with him recently. And former athlete Michigan State spartans
- 3:55Speaker 4: for sure. Yeah, so play at a high level. But
- 3:59Speaker 4: you know, so body like us, like you know, we
- 4:02Speaker 4: didn't really come from financial backgrounds per se, like as
- 4:04Speaker 4: far as as kids, like, you know, kind of learned
- 4:08Speaker 4: finances as he grew up as adults. But he's he's
- 4:11Speaker 4: developed a tremendous community online. I think you had seven
- 4:14Speaker 4: hundred thousand YouTube subscribers and like over a million followers
- 4:20Speaker 4: on socials where all the socials can buy, and a
- 4:23Speaker 4: bunch of viral videos, like a bunch of videos that
- 4:26Speaker 4: have over a million views on his YouTube channel. And
- 4:30Speaker 4: he's a trader and an investor, and you know, he's
- 4:34Speaker 4: he's one of the people that's been online that's been
- 4:37Speaker 4: teaching people when it comes to financial literacy, when it
- 4:39Speaker 4: comes to investing, stock investing. So a lot of people
- 4:42Speaker 4: have been asking us, like when you're going to when
- 4:44Speaker 4: you're going through something with Chris. So it's all about
- 4:46Speaker 4: timing for years. But it's all about timing and for like, now,
- 4:50Speaker 4: now's a good time, Now's a good topic. This is
- 4:53Speaker 4: the good platform.
- 4:54Speaker 3: You know.
- 4:54Speaker 4: It just just felt like it was a right moment.
- 4:57Speaker 6: So and I wanted salute him too, for just as
- 5:00Speaker 6: much as we've been watching him, he's been watching us
- 5:02Speaker 6: and was super gracious, and it was like, Yo, I
- 5:04Speaker 6: love what you guys are doing. I love I've been
- 5:05Speaker 6: loving what you guys have been doing. And so this
- 5:07Speaker 6: collaboration today feels like, all right, the roads have finally
- 5:11Speaker 6: crossed to a point where we're about to create magic
- 5:14Speaker 6: for sure.
- 5:14Speaker 4: So what I'll further, Dot's bring Chris up if we can.
- 5:19Speaker 4: What's going on?
- 5:20Speaker 3: Good? What up?
- 5:21Speaker 4: Though?
- 5:21Speaker 5: What's up? Man? How y'all doing?
- 5:23Speaker 4: What up?
- 5:24Speaker 5: Though?
- 5:27Speaker 4: We representative Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Yes sir, yes sir.
- 5:33Speaker 4: You got the Detroit, you got the Detroit Lions gear on,
- 5:36Speaker 4: you got the Cardier.
- 5:39Speaker 5: So we true to it, We true to a rich shot.
- 5:42Speaker 5: I told Troy, whether we own sixteen or sixteen to one,
- 5:45Speaker 5: we go hard.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Y'all. Definitely, y'all definitely having your way this year. Let's see.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Good luck to y'all in the playoffs. I want to
- 5:51Speaker 3: see so you got to buy.
- 5:52Speaker 6: So congrats to the Lions on a tremendous season, and
- 5:56Speaker 6: shout every Detroit team, what up?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Though? We love Detroit, man, shout everybody in Detroit.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Thanks. So we're gonna get into it before we start,
- 6:02Speaker 4: I just I want to just let you tell your
- 6:04Speaker 4: story of backstories Wall audience that may not be familiar
- 6:07Speaker 4: with you, as far as how you got into the
- 6:10Speaker 4: stock market, Like, what's your pathway to doing what you're
- 6:13Speaker 4: doing now?
- 6:14Speaker 5: Absolutely, Rashad, you kind of led with it, man. I
- 6:17Speaker 5: was a former Division one athlete. Guys and you guys
- 6:21Speaker 5: already know from that route of playing sports and using
- 6:25Speaker 5: sports to get up out of our environments. I used
- 6:29Speaker 5: it as a vehicle, you know, to kind of change
- 6:32Speaker 5: my life, to do something different, to see more and
- 6:34Speaker 5: be more. But then what intrigued me along the journey
- 6:39Speaker 5: I fell short of actually accomplishing my goals and making
- 6:44Speaker 5: it to the league, per se NFL played football and basketball,
- 6:47Speaker 5: but football is what I played. And I was always
- 6:51Speaker 5: intrigued with how do athletes go broke after accumulating so
- 6:56Speaker 5: much money after their career is done? And so on
- 6:59Speaker 5: average do typical athlete three to five years after they
- 7:02Speaker 5: playing career is done, they have some type of financial difficulty,
- 7:06Speaker 5: some type of financial struggle, whether it be bankruptcy, whether
- 7:10Speaker 5: it be going broke or running out of money or
- 7:14Speaker 5: and so that intrigued me, and that was the very
- 7:17Speaker 5: thing that kind of started my journey into getting into
- 7:20Speaker 5: the stock market and just wanting to learn how to
- 7:23Speaker 5: be better with money. And I've always felt like if
- 7:26Speaker 5: we could learn to to to live within our means,
- 7:30Speaker 5: manage manage what we have, we could we could make
- 7:34Speaker 5: the money stretch because for so many of us, we
- 7:37Speaker 5: are accustomed to doing a lot with a little. We
- 7:42Speaker 5: are accustomed to doing more with less. And so I
- 7:46Speaker 5: look at the market, there's no different. We just got
- 7:49Speaker 5: a good starter and it so I'm happy today that
- 7:51Speaker 5: this is coming full circle so we can get back
- 7:53Speaker 5: to the beginning, back to the basics, because there's so
- 7:56Speaker 5: many people still out of all the work and outreach
- 7:59Speaker 5: you guys have done out of all the work I
- 8:02Speaker 5: have done to reach as many people as I can collectively,
- 8:05Speaker 5: we still have so many more to reach combined, and
- 8:08Speaker 5: so the work is still there to do, and it's
- 8:12Speaker 5: still many more people that needs to be introduced to
- 8:15Speaker 5: just the simple fact of how to even invest in
- 8:18Speaker 5: the stock market. And so that's what we're going to
- 8:20Speaker 5: unpack on today.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Yes, that's a fact. And this started before we start,
- 8:26Speaker 4: we do have an announcement. We had said this a
- 8:28Speaker 4: few times this week, but this one day left, so
- 8:31Speaker 4: we came out with our book, our book, our first book,
- 8:34Speaker 4: You Deserve to Be Rich, And we had a special
- 8:37Speaker 4: offer that we offer on market Mondays where if you
- 8:41Speaker 4: buy the book, you get thirty days at ey University

- 8:57Speaker 4: words combined, dot com You Deserved to Be Rich deal
- 9:01Speaker 4: dot com and all the information is there. It's pretty simple.

- 9:07Speaker 4: that that's on that website. After you buy the book,

- 9:29Speaker 4: at the path videos, The whole encyclopedia is there for you.

- 9:34Speaker 4: to get the whole entire Eyo University curriculum for thirty
- 9:39Speaker 4: days for free, no strings attached. And there's one day
- 9:43Speaker 4: left in that office, So go to you deserve to
- 9:45Speaker 4: be rich. Deal, You deserve to be rich. Deal dot
- 9:52Speaker 4: com take advantage. Man, we gotta we got, we got
- 9:55Speaker 4: still got a few more hours left to push for
- 9:57Speaker 4: this book sale this week.
- 10:00Speaker 6: I tell you, man, New York Times bestseller is cool,
- 10:01Speaker 6: but being number one is even better. So you know,
- 10:03Speaker 6: there's the only thing we shoot for is to be
- 10:05Speaker 6: a number.
- 10:05Speaker 3: One for sure. It ain't gonna be a try and
- 10:08Speaker 3: shot win.
- 10:09Speaker 6: It's gonna be a community when because y'all all built
- 10:12Speaker 6: this platform with us. So shout out to everybody that
- 10:14Speaker 6: purchase book. I'm looking forward to having everybody inside the university. Man,
- 10:16Speaker 6: you're gonna be just in time for my next class.
- 10:19Speaker 6: Child to y'all, I'm looking forward to it.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, so yeah, that's the deal. So okay, so
- 10:27Speaker 4: let's let's let's get into this. Let's get into this
- 10:31Speaker 4: because you know, it's interesting that we talk about blacks
- 10:39Speaker 4: big like the quickest growing group when it comes to investing,
- 10:45Speaker 4: and that's something that you know is important and like
- 10:50Speaker 4: over like, I think sixty percent of millennial blacks are
- 10:53Speaker 4: now invested into the stock market, but when you take
- 10:55Speaker 4: it as an aggregate, as far as like every black
- 11:00Speaker 4: person from one hundred years old to eighteen years old,
- 11:05Speaker 4: there's still around forty percent participation in the market. So
- 11:09Speaker 4: that means that there's still sixty percent of the people
- 11:12Speaker 4: that's not participated in the stock market. And that's just
- 11:14Speaker 4: you know, this conversations for everybody. But of course, you know,
- 11:17Speaker 4: we have to you know, prioritize our community. So I
- 11:20Speaker 4: just say that to say there's a lot and don't
- 11:24Speaker 4: feel like you're alone. That's important too, Like if you
- 11:26Speaker 4: haven't invested, don't feel like you're alone or you're like
- 11:30Speaker 4: the last person on earth to learn about stocks. There's
- 11:33Speaker 4: still a lot of people in a similar situation. That's
- 11:37Speaker 4: why this is important. So I think we're gonna start,
- 11:39Speaker 4: We're gonna, were gonna, We're gonna go through some slids,
- 11:41Speaker 4: have a conversation like in the middle of the of
- 11:43Speaker 4: the slots, and we're gonna We're gonna walk you step
- 11:46Speaker 4: by step into your glad.
- 11:48Speaker 6: I'm glad you just said that because a lot of
- 11:49Speaker 6: the conversations that I have is is it too late?
- 11:52Speaker 3: Is it too late?
- 11:53Speaker 4: Right?
- 11:54Speaker 6: Not knowing that there is no way to time at
- 11:56Speaker 6: the time is putting the actual investment to be inside
- 11:59Speaker 6: of the market. So that conversation is going to get
- 12:02Speaker 6: alleviated today.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Man, I'm excited. Chris, your ready to go, Yes, sir,
- 12:05Speaker 3: let's do it.
- 12:06Speaker 5: My guys, Look, so how to start investing in stocks?
- 12:12Speaker 5: And the three of us get this question all the time,
- 12:14Speaker 5: so we wanted to lead with that and we want
- 12:17Speaker 5: to break it down as simply as we can. And
- 12:20Speaker 5: so first you need a brokerage account. What is a
- 12:24Speaker 5: brokerage account? Okay? A brokeragch account simply, guys, allows you
- 12:28Speaker 5: to buy stocks, sales, stocks, invest okay. And so some
- 12:34Speaker 5: of the more notable names you might know of or
- 12:37Speaker 5: be familiar with, or you may not be Vanguard Fidelity.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Those are two ones that has just been around for
- 12:46Speaker 5: the test of time. Now and if you are thinking
- 12:50Speaker 5: long term, these two entities are ones you want to consider.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Fidelity Vanguard you want to think about once I do
- 13:01Speaker 5: take this step to invest. Let me open up a
- 13:04Speaker 5: Fidelity account, let me open up a Vanguard account. You
- 13:07Speaker 5: want to start there with the premise in mind that
- 13:10Speaker 5: you are thinking long term. Then you have everything from
- 13:14Speaker 5: more more newer apps, more user friendly ones like robin Hood,
- 13:19Speaker 5: we Ball, Interactive Brokers, Tasty Trades, to name a few.
- 13:24Speaker 5: So listen, guys. It starts with before you can invest,
- 13:27Speaker 5: you have to have a brokerage account to even deploy
- 13:31Speaker 5: your money too. Okay. This is lateral from your job.
- 13:35Speaker 5: This is separate from whatever you are getting at your
- 13:38Speaker 5: place of employment. This is on you. The book came out.
- 13:43Speaker 5: We're going to make sure this book become a number
- 13:44Speaker 5: one bestseller. You deserve. This is about you. This is
- 13:50Speaker 5: about you, guys. Okay, and so you need to make
- 13:53Speaker 5: sure you have your own brokerage account. You're doing your
- 13:57Speaker 5: your own investing, You're taking your you taking your own
- 14:00Speaker 5: finances and affairs in your hand. Okay, next up.
- 14:03Speaker 4: And I'll take it. I'll take it even stuff furthert too,
- 14:05Speaker 4: because I want to kind of expand on that a
- 14:07Speaker 4: little bit because for some people like to even why
- 14:13Speaker 4: investing is important on what a stock is, right, Like
- 14:15Speaker 4: we talk about stocks as far as that's ownership, and
- 14:17Speaker 4: there's private companies and then there's public companies. Right. So
- 14:20Speaker 4: the public companies anybody can own it like Tesla, like Microsoft.
- 14:23Speaker 4: A private company is like earn your leisure where only
- 14:26Speaker 4: we own it. Right. So it's important to invest in
- 14:29Speaker 4: these public companies because as their value goes up, your
- 14:32Speaker 4: investment going to go up over the course of time
- 14:34Speaker 4: as well. Right, So the only way we talk about inflation,
- 14:36Speaker 4: the only way to beat inflation is to actually invest, right,
- 14:39Speaker 4: because that's how your money's actually working for you over
- 14:41Speaker 4: the course of time. But another question that I get
- 14:44Speaker 4: about the brokerage is like even like how to set
- 14:47Speaker 4: it up, and it's it's really not too complicated. Guys,
- 14:49Speaker 4: like you go to the app store and you download
- 14:52Speaker 4: Charles Schwab is another one, or you download Fidelity and
- 14:55Speaker 4: all of these these these apps and platforms have similar
- 14:59Speaker 4: type of things where you just got to fill in
- 15:01Speaker 4: your information. So they have to it's called like know
- 15:03Speaker 4: your customer, right, so they're actually you're like your social
- 15:06Speaker 4: the actually your number, your email. You have to provide
- 15:09Speaker 4: this information. Guys like you can't try to.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I ain't putting.
- 15:16Speaker 4: I gotta provide. You gotta provide this information and then
- 15:19Speaker 4: from there you link your bank account to it. This
- 15:23Speaker 4: is important for people to fully understand as well, because
- 15:26Speaker 4: they're like, well, how do I get money into the account?
- 15:28Speaker 3: Right? I gotta fund it.
- 15:29Speaker 4: You link your bank account to it, and then you
- 15:31Speaker 4: fund it, and then that that funding goes both ways.
- 15:33Speaker 4: So you put money in from your bank account and
- 15:36Speaker 4: put two thousand dollars for my bank account into Fidelity,
- 15:39Speaker 4: and then when it's time to move for money from
- 15:41Speaker 4: Fidelity to your bank account, vice versa, vice versa. But
- 15:45Speaker 4: where it's hell that this is important, but to our retirement.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Can I give them a hack from what you just said?
- 15:52Speaker 6: This is important too because that transaction time. It can
- 15:54Speaker 6: if you're a new customer, that might take five to
- 15:56Speaker 6: seven days. And so for us having money that we
- 15:59Speaker 6: sent and we don't know where it's going and it's
- 16:01Speaker 6: taking five to seven days, it's a new account opening.
- 16:03Speaker 3: You could fill a little.
- 16:05Speaker 4: ANNGST, especially Robberhood rib hood.
- 16:08Speaker 3: But what you can do right and this is and
- 16:11Speaker 3: this is a good tip.
- 16:11Speaker 6: I use E Trade and so when E trade, I
- 16:14Speaker 6: found out the wire instructions, right, So when I get
- 16:17Speaker 6: the wire instructions that come from E trade, now when
- 16:20Speaker 6: I send the money. Right, let's say I'm sending five
- 16:22Speaker 6: thousand dollars to my E trade account, that's going to
- 16:25Speaker 6: get there within thirty minutes rather than waiting five to
- 16:28Speaker 6: seven days. And so yes, you can do the AH
- 16:30Speaker 6: transfers with take three to five or maybe five to
- 16:32Speaker 6: seven if it's your new account, or you can get
- 16:35Speaker 6: your broke which is wire information, and have that money
- 16:37Speaker 6: expedited because five to seven days in the market can
- 16:40Speaker 6: change a lot, right, like we saw over the past week,
- 16:43Speaker 6: right on Mondays up by Friday, you could have lost
- 16:46Speaker 6: a lot or you could have gained a lot. So
- 16:48Speaker 6: you want to make sure that your money gets there
- 16:49Speaker 6: in expedited fashion. Why in transfers is another way that
- 16:52Speaker 6: you can.
- 16:52Speaker 3: You can hack that.
- 16:53Speaker 4: And then the last day I say before we move on,
- 16:54Speaker 4: is that I used to get this a lot. When
- 16:58Speaker 4: people are talking about their form one case, they'll have
- 17:01Speaker 4: a four one K the money's coming out of there.
- 17:03Speaker 4: That they're checking their money's coming out of their paycheck
- 17:06Speaker 4: and they automatically assume that it's being invested. And I asked, like,
- 17:08Speaker 4: what are you invested in? They're like, I don't know,
- 17:10Speaker 4: did not see their statements, and they're not actually invested
- 17:12Speaker 4: in anything. When your money goes into a brokerage account,
- 17:15Speaker 4: it goes into what's called the money market. That's like
- 17:17Speaker 4: a savings account pretty much for a brokerage account, like
- 17:20Speaker 4: it's sitting on the sideline. You have to direct where
- 17:25Speaker 4: the money's going. So the next thing we'll talk about
- 17:27Speaker 4: like actual investments. But don't think that. Okay, I opened
- 17:31Speaker 4: up a Fidelity, I link it to my Chase bank account.
- 17:34Speaker 4: I put two thousand dollars from Chase into Fidelity, and
- 17:38Speaker 4: now I'm invested into the stock market. That's not you're not.
- 17:42Speaker 4: But like I said, that's how it works. That actually happened.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Like I said, I I see that what I saw
- 17:46Speaker 4: that with retirement when I was a financial adod, I
- 17:48Speaker 4: used to see that with retirements, people have money they
- 17:50Speaker 4: used to have, like twenty fifty thousand dollars into their
- 17:52Speaker 4: retirement account because they didn't. They didn't They would never
- 17:55Speaker 4: fully educated that you had to pick something, and they
- 17:59Speaker 4: just did the for their retirement plans was a money
- 18:01Speaker 4: market account until they decided what they wanted to do
- 18:03Speaker 4: with the money. They never decided what they wanted to
- 18:06Speaker 4: do with the money, and the money was not grown.
- 18:08Speaker 4: It's not a money market is not invested, right, that's
- 18:10Speaker 4: like a zero. It's sitting on it's sitting on a sideline.
- 18:14Speaker 4: That's just important. Just because you open it, you put
- 18:16Speaker 4: it in. Now from there you have to actually put
- 18:19Speaker 4: into as.
- 18:19Speaker 6: A fact, Chris, I'm gonna go back up to this
- 18:21Speaker 6: slide where we're looking at the brokerages.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Yeah, is there one that you.
- 18:25Speaker 6: Prefer all the other or is this case by case?
- 18:27Speaker 6: Like I know E Trade is not on there everybody
- 18:30Speaker 6: euyou knows. I love E Trade, but I'm using because
- 18:34Speaker 6: for informational purposes it's easier for me. I love the
- 18:38Speaker 6: way that we can get information. Is there is there
- 18:40Speaker 6: one that is preferred or the other?
- 18:43Speaker 5: Vanguard for long term I prefer for strictly long term
- 18:49Speaker 5: and or Fidelity. You can't go wrong if that's the mindset.
- 18:52Speaker 5: I'm buying holding this for at least ten years. Vanguard
- 18:55Speaker 5: and Fidelity are phenomenal e trade Robinhood in one fire.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Some of those other ones are good too because they
- 19:03Speaker 5: provide even more information and news and other things that
- 19:07Speaker 5: is helpful to the user. So there's no order. But
- 19:12Speaker 5: except for the long term piece, Fidelity and Vanguard are
- 19:16Speaker 5: the ones you're not trying to trade in those with
- 19:19Speaker 5: Vanguard at least, you're not using that to be a trader.
- 19:22Speaker 5: You're trying to your purpose intently, trying to invest Robinhood. Guys,
- 19:27Speaker 5: the next one is in Rishad touched on this. No,
- 19:30Speaker 5: go right here to the ETFs. We want to make
- 19:33Speaker 5: sure we're being nuanced about this. Putting your money into
- 19:37Speaker 5: the brokerage isn't investing. Here's where some of your money
- 19:41Speaker 5: should go into. Number one being ETFs and growth stocks.
- 19:44Speaker 5: What is the etfre exchange traded funds? Basically, you look
- 19:50Speaker 5: at it like you're going to a mall. If your
- 19:53Speaker 5: favorite store is inside of that mall. You can kind
- 19:56Speaker 5: of similarly look at your stocks in a similar fashion.
- 20:00Speaker 5: So it's like a basket of stocks. One thing it
- 20:02Speaker 5: does for the truck driver, for the traveling nurse, for
- 20:06Speaker 5: the lawyer, for the busy person, the busy parent, the mom,
- 20:10Speaker 5: the teacher, the person that don't have a lot of
- 20:13Speaker 5: time to sit around but know you should be investing.
- 20:17Speaker 5: This is what you want to consider in terms of
- 20:20Speaker 5: kind of taking some of the leg work that should
- 20:23Speaker 5: be done because you shouldn't know what you're investing in,
- 20:25Speaker 5: but it kind of takes some of the legwork out
- 20:28Speaker 5: of it for you. So you can kind of invest
- 20:32Speaker 5: into these basket of stocks knowing that you're investing in quality,
- 20:35Speaker 5: knowing that you're investing in blue chips, knowing that your
- 20:38Speaker 5: money is going into the right vehicles that will serve
- 20:42Speaker 5: you best long term. Okay, So that's where these ETFs
- 20:46Speaker 5: and growth stocks kind of come into place. Speaking of
- 20:49Speaker 5: growth stocks, they have a different purpose. So you need
- 20:53Speaker 5: to think to yourself, have you been investing? Like Shoddy said,
- 20:57Speaker 5: we got so many people still yet invested into the market,
- 21:01Speaker 5: and so we know we got more work to do.
- 21:03Speaker 5: That's why we don't rest on our lawyers. That's why
- 21:05Speaker 5: we showing up every day despite all we got going on,
- 21:09Speaker 5: because we got to get you here. The growth stocks
- 21:12Speaker 5: will allow for some of you to have a little
- 21:15Speaker 5: more growth, to have a little more velocity into your investments,
- 21:19Speaker 5: getting those gains that say a dividend stock may not
- 21:25Speaker 5: get you. We'll talk about dividend stocks later. But growth
- 21:28Speaker 5: stocks are oftentimes not profitable, profitable, not yet profitable, end
- 21:33Speaker 5: route to being profitable. But their whole aim and focus
- 21:36Speaker 5: is to reinvest in a company to grow it as
- 21:39Speaker 5: fast as possible. And so that's another vehicle and mechanism
- 21:44Speaker 5: for you to consider when investing. What do I put
- 21:47Speaker 5: my money in? You should consider an ETF a basket
- 21:50Speaker 5: of stocks. Some that you might know on Vanguard, for instance,
- 21:55Speaker 5: would be VTI. If you rock with me, you know
- 21:57Speaker 5: we go down through there. That's one of our number
- 21:59Speaker 5: one home hootings. VTI. You have VOO, you have VIIG
- 22:04Speaker 5: for if you want that information and growth, you have VUG.
- 22:08Speaker 5: You have a variety of ETFs that are going to
- 22:12Speaker 5: do the heavy lifting for you. Inside of those basket
- 22:15Speaker 5: of stocks that will set you on your way. Then
- 22:17Speaker 5: you have the growth stocks. Some of you may be
- 22:20Speaker 5: familiar with the NASDAK, the or the QQQ things that
- 22:25Speaker 5: have some of our best tech companies inside of them
- 22:29Speaker 5: that gives you that growth. You see when when when
- 22:33Speaker 5: Troy helped you guys hit the micro strategies out the park, Well,
- 22:38Speaker 5: if the options did what he what he helped you
- 22:40Speaker 5: guys do. What do you think the stock did you
- 22:42Speaker 5: get those kind of growth opportunities in Nvidia going up
- 22:46Speaker 5: two hundred percent in a year in a matter in
- 22:49Speaker 5: a Google when you talking growth stocks because their aim
- 22:53Speaker 5: and focus is just to tab a bit different than
- 22:56Speaker 5: other entities and vehicles to invest in.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Yep, I think. And let's stay on this for a
- 23:01Speaker 4: minute too, because even to break it down on a
- 23:04Speaker 4: very like you know, ground level as far as the
- 23:07Speaker 4: difference between index and ETFs, right, and I love to
- 23:11Speaker 4: get yet, respective of how we've said before, like an
- 23:14Speaker 4: index fund is kind of like a supermarket, the whole
- 23:17Speaker 4: entire supermarket, right, So it's like the S and P
- 23:20Speaker 4: five hundred. That's something that people should know if you're
- 23:23Speaker 4: invested in the stock market standing imports five hundred. A
- 23:25Speaker 4: lot of people have heard of that. They don't know
- 23:26Speaker 4: what it is. Like, that's five hundred companies, right, that's
- 23:29Speaker 4: like a microcosm of the of the stock market, which
- 23:32Speaker 4: companies from the automotive industry, energy tech, all of that,
- 23:35Speaker 4: and they all come together. So most people consider like
- 23:38Speaker 4: an index fund is that as the safest way to
- 23:41Speaker 4: invest because that you get all of those five hundred
- 23:45Speaker 4: companies or the Russell two thousand, and you get two
- 23:47Speaker 4: thousand companies where the ETF is like a specific aisle
- 23:52Speaker 4: inside the grocery store. So it's like you got the
- 23:55Speaker 4: Indian aisle or you got the Mediterranean aisle right where.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Just so it's like if we talk about nvidio line,
- 24:03Speaker 4: we talk about computer chip stocks, well, there is an
- 24:05Speaker 4: ETF called SMH which only specializes in computer chips. So
- 24:12Speaker 4: the benefit with the ETF to me is that if
- 24:16Speaker 4: you're not fully confident, you know, you want to invest
- 24:20Speaker 4: in one sector, but you're not fully confident in putting
- 24:23Speaker 4: all your eggs in one basket with one particular stock,
- 24:26Speaker 4: then you get the all star team, right, you get
- 24:29Speaker 4: all of those different companies, right, which will make up
- 24:32Speaker 4: that ETF. It's not going to do as well as
- 24:35Speaker 4: that one company if that one company strikes it out
- 24:37Speaker 4: the park, but you've had your risk right because now
- 24:42Speaker 4: you've got ten fifteen companies, but they're all in the
- 24:46Speaker 4: same exact industry as opposed to just one leader in
- 24:51Speaker 4: that industry.
- 24:52Speaker 6: It's kind of like that table strategy that we spoke
- 24:54Speaker 6: about years ago, where it was like, all right, I'm
- 24:56Speaker 6: going to build my investment table on ETFs or if
- 24:59Speaker 6: it's a mature that has all the semiconductors, I can
- 25:02Speaker 6: have simation as one of my legs. If I were
- 25:04Speaker 6: individually want to invest in video, that can sit on
- 25:06Speaker 6: top of the table. If in video rises, SMAH is
- 25:10Speaker 6: going to rise right because of the allocation. And that's
- 25:12Speaker 6: the beautiful thing about ETFs. The percentage that is invested
- 25:16Speaker 6: in these companies change. So when TSM was running, TSM
- 25:19Speaker 6: let the SMA, ETF and Vidia has taken over over
- 25:23Speaker 6: the past two years.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Now in video is the number.
- 25:25Speaker 6: One allocation aside of estimation. So that's beautiful. It actually
- 25:29Speaker 6: is investing for you when you don't have to. Yes,
- 25:31Speaker 6: the upside isn't as great, but the downside isn't as
- 25:35Speaker 6: volatile as well, and so that's important to know. You
- 25:38Speaker 6: talked about growth stocks. A lot of people always hear growth,
- 25:40Speaker 6: they hear value. There's a difference, right growth. Your broad
- 25:43Speaker 6: are some of the megacap companies, you know, the Max
- 25:45Speaker 6: seven you talked about, But the value stocks are a
- 25:48Speaker 6: little bit different where it's like they're trading below their value,
- 25:51Speaker 6: but they have upside which could mean potential higher growth.
- 25:56Speaker 6: So if I'm a beginner investor, am I looking for
- 25:59Speaker 6: growth or am I looking for value in the anticipation
- 26:02Speaker 6: of a higher upside.
- 26:03Speaker 5: These are things that your age, your personal goals. These
- 26:08Speaker 5: are those things that determines that, Okay, if you're younger,
- 26:12Speaker 5: for example, you might you might look at a value
- 26:16Speaker 5: that that is got a little growth to it. If
- 26:18Speaker 5: you are at a retirement age, if you don't want
- 26:21Speaker 5: the volatility, then you may want something that's slow and steady.
- 26:25Speaker 5: You may want something that that's less volatile so that
- 26:29Speaker 5: you can rest easy at night knowing, yes, I'm invested,
- 26:33Speaker 5: but I got a medium to low risk. Can I
- 26:36Speaker 5: can keep my nerves in check versus versus the younger
- 26:41Speaker 5: individual that's investing at some of my eighteen year olds
- 26:45Speaker 5: that's in the money team to twenty four year olds.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Some of you guys are able to get in get
- 26:51Speaker 5: in some of those fast moving cars, if you will,
- 26:54Speaker 5: that has a lot of runway ahead of them. So
- 26:58Speaker 5: you might want to make sure you just simply looking
- 27:00Speaker 5: at your situation, your age, your income, where you're at
- 27:05Speaker 5: on your own journey. And these are the factors or
- 27:08Speaker 5: some of the factors that come into play when you're
- 27:11Speaker 5: thinking value versus growth, or when you want to do
- 27:14Speaker 5: a mixture of the two. And I like what both
- 27:17Speaker 5: of you guys said about the ESMH and the Aisle guys.
- 27:22Speaker 5: I'm an athlete and I use I use sports to
- 27:25Speaker 5: teach the stock market. And so you want to look
- 27:28Speaker 5: at the ETFs, and like Rashad said about the SMH,
- 27:33Speaker 5: think about super teams. Think about having lebron kd Steph, Wimby,
- 27:41Speaker 5: and Carmelo on the same team. Think of think of
- 27:47Speaker 5: think of owning the best five hundred companies or the
- 27:50Speaker 5: best top stocks in that sector. In that mindset, when
- 27:54Speaker 5: it helps you know I got some of the best
- 27:56Speaker 5: of the best, I got the best in class. I
- 27:59Speaker 5: have the things that should do right by my money
- 28:03Speaker 5: long term, always highlighting long term. So now that's a
- 28:07Speaker 5: good one with the value and growth Troy.
- 28:10Speaker 6: Yeah, if somebody's like still trying to figure out, I'll
- 28:12Speaker 6: give you an example a company like Tesla, right like
- 28:15Speaker 6: you look at if you look at Tesla's chart over
- 28:17Speaker 6: the past two to three years, maybe five years, we
- 28:20Speaker 6: can go back five years and you watch the movement
- 28:22Speaker 6: that volatility.
- 28:23Speaker 3: This is a growth stock.
- 28:24Speaker 6: We can see it has a long runway it trades volatively,
- 28:27Speaker 6: but we're in it for the long term.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Right. If you look like a value stock like a Verrizon.
- 28:31Speaker 6: I remember investing in a Horizon ten years ago, and
- 28:34Speaker 6: I'm just sitting there, like, this thing's trade sideways forever, right,
- 28:39Speaker 6: give a dividend, right, So there's there's value inside of
- 28:41Speaker 6: that company. So it's a strong company. It does move up,
- 28:44Speaker 6: but it doesn't move as quickly. So those would be
- 28:46Speaker 6: like the differences if you're thinking value first growth.
- 28:50Speaker 4: And then also it's like for even the index ETF
- 28:54Speaker 4: individual stock, well, like sometimes you have like Apple, right,
- 28:59Speaker 4: it's a company I'm invested in on an individual stock,
- 29:02Speaker 4: I'm invested in that company, and then I'm invested in
- 29:04Speaker 4: the S and P five hundred, which Apple is a
- 29:06Speaker 4: part of the S and P five hundred. Then I'm
- 29:08Speaker 4: invested in a specific technology ETF called XLK, which has
- 29:13Speaker 4: some thing like thirteen stocks in that, so and Apples
- 29:15Speaker 4: one of is like the one of the leading the
- 29:17Speaker 4: leading holder in that as part as the percentage makeup.
- 29:20Speaker 4: So I'm in the Apple from the large ocean to
- 29:25Speaker 4: the smaller pond to the stream, right, so I have
- 29:29Speaker 4: exposure on every level. But sometimes when you when you're
- 29:34Speaker 4: in a company, that's the way to kind of look
- 29:35Speaker 4: at it as well, where it's like, Okay, I like
- 29:37Speaker 4: this company, but I want to I want to have
- 29:41Speaker 4: some level of protection and some diversification where I can
- 29:44Speaker 4: get other companies as well. So you know when that's
- 29:47Speaker 4: the strategy too, it's like, you know, own the company,
- 29:50Speaker 4: then own the ETF that the company is in, then
- 29:52Speaker 4: own the index that the company is in. Most of
- 29:55Speaker 4: the time, if it's like a good company, they're going
- 29:57Speaker 4: to be in the S and P five hundred, They're
- 30:00Speaker 4: going to be in a lot of like Apple, Microsoft,
- 30:03Speaker 4: these are companies that are leading the world, so they're
- 30:08Speaker 4: going to be in QQQ, they're going to be in XLK,
- 30:10Speaker 4: they're going to be in the S and P five hundred,
- 30:12Speaker 4: they're going to be in VOH. So it's a lot
- 30:14Speaker 4: of overlap. A lot of times you'll see a lot
- 30:16Speaker 4: of overlapp in that. So that's important for people to
- 30:19Speaker 4: understand as well.
- 30:20Speaker 6: It's kind of one of those stores when you tell
- 30:21Speaker 6: people follow the money, right, Like if something's been added
- 30:25Speaker 6: to the S and P, that's because a lot of
- 30:27Speaker 6: money is being poured to it by heshack. People are
- 30:29Speaker 6: invested in that company to now put it on that index.
- 30:31Speaker 6: So we just saw Volunteer get added to the S
- 30:34Speaker 6: and P five hundred. Well there's the reader is Volunteer
- 30:36Speaker 6: had an amazing year. It was up two hundred and
- 30:38Speaker 6: seventy nine percent. Now that's added into the S and
- 30:40Speaker 6: P five hundred. So follow the big money. I'm glad
- 30:43Speaker 6: you brought up Vanguard. I brought these institutions. Don't invest
- 30:47Speaker 6: into these companies for no reason, it's because they're trying
- 30:49Speaker 6: to make money as well.
- 30:50Speaker 4: Before we go to next, I want to ask you
- 30:51Speaker 4: a question because another thing is by people is like Okay,
- 30:55Speaker 4: how much should I invest? That's a that's a big
- 30:57Speaker 4: question the question, So what's your thoughts on that? And
- 31:01Speaker 4: like dollar cost averaging, Like do you do you encourage
- 31:04Speaker 4: people to take the dollar cost averaging approach?
- 31:07Speaker 5: I do. I do my thing. And we know the
- 31:10Speaker 5: numbers were shot in Troy. We need as many people
- 31:12Speaker 5: investing as possible. So because they allow fractional shares, because
- 31:17Speaker 5: they allow different ways to get into the market.
- 31:21Speaker 4: Talk about that, like explain what fractional shares.
- 31:23Speaker 5: Fractional shares means. You can buy a fraction of a set.
- 31:27Speaker 5: So the stock, say is five hundred dollars, and you
- 31:30Speaker 5: don't have five hundred dollars, but you want to own
- 31:33Speaker 5: that stock, you can pay fifty dollars, or you can
- 31:38Speaker 5: pay one hundred and fifty dollars or two hundred, whatever
- 31:40Speaker 5: you can afford, whatever it's feasible for you, after your
- 31:44Speaker 5: bills is paid, after you have handled all your responsibilities
- 31:47Speaker 5: and you got this money allocated to side for investing.
- 31:51Speaker 5: If you don't have five hundred, you can still put
- 31:53Speaker 5: in what you do have, whether that's fifty dollars, one
- 31:56Speaker 5: hundred dollars, five dollars, whatever it is. Now, the goal
- 32:00Speaker 5: we won't want you to stay there. The goal is
- 32:02Speaker 5: to practice the habit of you know what, instead of
- 32:06Speaker 5: blowing the money, I put what I had and could
- 32:09Speaker 5: into this stock, even if it was a fractional share,
- 32:12Speaker 5: because guess what, with a fractional share, you're still getting
- 32:15Speaker 5: a percentage of that stock on the mount you invested. So,
- 32:21Speaker 5: Rishad just told you guys about it in Nvidia, Troy
- 32:26Speaker 5: just told you guys about Polunteer. These are two phenomenal
- 32:29Speaker 5: companies that have phenomenal years. Whether you had ten thousand
- 32:33Speaker 5: dollars or five hundred dollars invested in it. If the
- 32:38Speaker 5: stock double your five hundred dollars, your fractional shares will double.
- 32:43Speaker 5: The mount you invest will appreciate with the percent gain
- 32:47Speaker 5: of that stock.
- 32:48Speaker 4: So yes, it's important people to even when picking up brokerage,
- 32:51Speaker 4: because not all brokerages have fractional very true, very if
- 32:56Speaker 4: you notice, you know that that's something that you're going
- 32:58Speaker 4: to be like, you know, if you're going to be
- 32:59Speaker 4: investing in smaller mouth some money like robin Hood has
- 33:01Speaker 4: fractional shares, so you could just google, you know, does
- 33:05Speaker 4: this brokerage allow fractional share everybody? That's important because like
- 33:09Speaker 4: you said, I mean, if you're invested in a company
- 33:11Speaker 4: and it's a thousand dollars and then it's like you
- 33:14Speaker 4: got to wait six months to get the thousand dollars
- 33:16Speaker 4: and that's going to stop you from investing as opposed
- 33:18Speaker 4: to investing one hundred dollars every single month and getting
- 33:21Speaker 4: a fractional share of that. You know, that's important.
- 33:23Speaker 3: The fractional share part is important.
- 33:25Speaker 6: But also we come up in an age where you
- 33:28Speaker 6: actually have to have a minimum to have a Brokens account.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Not true anymore there are plenty of brokenure. These are
- 33:33Speaker 3: the things you should research.
- 33:34Speaker 6: Right, is there a minimum amount needed to open a
- 33:37Speaker 6: Brokens account? I know sometimes it was a thousand and
- 33:39Speaker 6: then it gets down.
- 33:40Speaker 3: To five hundred.
- 33:40Speaker 5: It needs to be three thousand exactly.
- 33:43Speaker 6: And now there are plenty that have no minimums. So
- 33:45Speaker 6: when people say how much do I need to start?
- 33:47Speaker 6: How much are you willing to start with?
- 33:49Speaker 3: Really you got to fit.
- 33:50Speaker 5: Out ask a better question, how much are you willing
- 33:52Speaker 5: to start with? And our thing is we got to
- 33:55Speaker 5: repair our relationship with money, So I would rather start small,
- 34:00Speaker 5: smart with what we have so we can start developing
- 34:03Speaker 5: good habits. It's about changing what we were once doing
- 34:07Speaker 5: to trying to do what we should have been doing
- 34:09Speaker 5: all along. If we can start five fifty, one hundred,
- 34:13Speaker 5: whatever you have, and then make it a goal, make
- 34:17Speaker 5: it a goal to say I want to get my
- 34:19Speaker 5: first thousand, I want to get my first five thousand,
- 34:21Speaker 5: I want to get my first ten. But I had
- 34:23Speaker 5: to start somewhere, and I remember starting with this, and
- 34:26Speaker 5: so Troy is right. Pick a brokerage that at least
- 34:30Speaker 5: allow you to start with what you got versus letting
- 34:32Speaker 5: it deter you. And then you hold off for another year,
- 34:36Speaker 5: and you letting another year go by without you investing.
- 34:38Speaker 5: And like Rashad told you at the beginning of this episode,
- 34:41Speaker 5: infation will eat you up and leave you in a dust.
- 34:45Speaker 5: If you don't get invested and be in it for
- 34:48Speaker 5: the long term, your money is not going to be
- 34:49Speaker 5: able to work on your behalf. So even if it's
- 34:52Speaker 5: a fractional share, that's imperative that you at least do that,
- 34:56Speaker 5: because I still better than doing nothing.
- 34:59Speaker 4: And then talk about cost averaging and.
- 35:01Speaker 5: Dollar cost averaging DCA. You might hear that lingo use
- 35:05Speaker 5: on CNBC. It shows like that they talk about investing.
- 35:09Speaker 5: It simply means allocating a certain amount every single time
- 35:14Speaker 5: you get paid, whether that's bi weekly, weekly, monthly. So
- 35:17Speaker 5: if you buying two point fifty of a fractional share,
- 35:22Speaker 5: you're buying two fifty every Friday, no matter the price
- 35:25Speaker 5: two fifty, two fifty, two fifty, whether it's an update
- 35:30Speaker 5: a down day, whether the price is up lower, you
- 35:33Speaker 5: are repeating the same habit every day, your dollar cost averaging,
- 35:37Speaker 5: whether the stock is up or low, and you're getting
- 35:40Speaker 5: the medium of all of that over the long term.
- 35:44Speaker 5: And so the goal is for at the end of
- 35:46Speaker 5: your dollar cost averaging for you to have a decent
- 35:49Speaker 5: average cost so that once the stock appreciates value, you
- 35:54Speaker 5: can kind of see that return on your investment. So
- 35:56Speaker 5: dollar cost averaging is also something you can commit to.
- 36:01Speaker 5: It's no different than letting the money get automatically withdrawn
- 36:06Speaker 5: out your account to pay the light bill, to pay
- 36:08Speaker 5: your Verizon bill. You want to set up something similar
- 36:13Speaker 5: once you have budgeted, you want to set up and
- 36:16Speaker 5: have something similar to dollar cost average into your ETF,
- 36:20Speaker 5: into your stock, your individual stock, into your dividy in stock,
- 36:25Speaker 5: into your how your savings account. All of these habits
- 36:30Speaker 5: can be replicated across the spectrum on what you should
- 36:34Speaker 5: be doing on a consistent basis.
- 36:37Speaker 4: And that's something that's important too, because that's another hurdle
- 36:41Speaker 4: that stops people. They're like, I want to save up
- 36:46Speaker 4: to invest because it's like a lot of times people
- 36:48Speaker 4: think like you got to have a lump sung. There's
- 36:50Speaker 4: two ways to invest right, the dollar cost average method
- 36:53Speaker 4: where you put money in weekly, you put money in
- 36:55Speaker 4: two times a month, you put money in monthly, same
- 36:58Speaker 4: amount every single month, or you can do a lump sum.
- 37:03Speaker 4: I'm gonna put ten thousand dollars into the market. Now,
- 37:06Speaker 4: the problem with that is that a lot of times
- 37:09Speaker 4: it's difficult to get the lump sum and something always
- 37:13Speaker 4: comes up. It's like, if it's a goal to save
- 37:15Speaker 4: five thousand dollars, your tie your blows out, and your
- 37:18Speaker 4: kid you gotta you know, get braces, and something always happens.
- 37:23Speaker 4: So it stops you from that goal because you're not
- 37:27Speaker 4: able to save up the money. But even if you
- 37:28Speaker 4: were to save up the money, it's actually been researched
- 37:31Speaker 4: that but an average person it's difficult to kind of
- 37:34Speaker 4: pick the bottom of the market. So it's been proven
- 37:39Speaker 4: that over the long haul dollar cost averaging you actually
- 37:44Speaker 4: your returns are better than putting a lump sum of
- 37:48Speaker 4: money into the market. So if you had, let's say
- 37:50Speaker 4: twelve thousand dollars, just to make it an even number,
- 37:53Speaker 4: it's better to put a thousand dollars a month into
- 37:56Speaker 4: the market as opposed to having twelve thousand dollars than
- 38:00Speaker 4: just trying to pick the right time. That's difficult. You
- 38:04Speaker 4: can do it, but that's a little bit. That's a
- 38:06Speaker 4: little bit more as hard.
- 38:07Speaker 5: Dollar you spot on dollar cost average eliminates your ability
- 38:12Speaker 5: to try to time the market. You're just always investing.
- 38:14Speaker 5: You're always buying, and we should always be buying. If
- 38:18Speaker 5: you have a stock that you want to hold for
- 38:19Speaker 5: the next ten years, you should always be buying it. Especially,
- 38:24Speaker 5: you should be considering buying more on a red day,
- 38:27Speaker 5: down day or five percent down. Have benchmarks, you said,
- 38:31Speaker 5: if my stock is five percent down from the fifty
- 38:34Speaker 5: two week high, if it's ten percent down from the
- 38:36Speaker 5: fifty two week high, if it's twenty percent down from
- 38:39Speaker 5: the fifty two week high, these are my cues to buy,
- 38:43Speaker 5: buy more. On top of the dollar cost averaging, you
- 38:46Speaker 5: were just naturally doing, like Rishard said, out of your
- 38:49Speaker 5: check every two weeks. You was already putting the money in.
- 38:52Speaker 5: But if it comes down significantly, guys, we need to
- 38:55Speaker 5: see that as an opportunity to buy more. Oftentimes we
- 38:59Speaker 5: talk about we love a sell any other time flyers
- 39:04Speaker 5: we like to get. We don't mind getting something on sale. However,
- 39:10Speaker 5: only in the stock market when their assets are on
- 39:13Speaker 5: sale do we now stop doing what the very thing
- 39:17Speaker 5: we should be doing. We stopped out a cost averaging,
- 39:19Speaker 5: We stopped buying on a consistent basis. No, that's when
- 39:23Speaker 5: you want to you want to get that asset at
- 39:27Speaker 5: the lowest price possible, because you're preparing yourself for the
- 39:30Speaker 5: better gain and return once it starts its uptrend again.
- 39:34Speaker 5: So these are the little things that come with it
- 39:36Speaker 5: that you can get to Terred as a new investor,
- 39:38Speaker 5: we hear this all the time, Oh my money went down.
- 39:43Speaker 5: We already looking at it wrong. You know what I'm saying.
- 39:46Speaker 5: We already looking at it wrong. And we need you
- 39:48Speaker 5: to understand it's going to go down. That's your you
- 39:50Speaker 5: to buy more. You need to just you don't need
- 39:53Speaker 5: to worry about if it went down, where is it
- 39:55Speaker 5: going to be three years from now? Where's it going
- 39:57Speaker 5: to be five years from now? Is question you should
- 40:00Speaker 5: be saying. And so as it goes down, that's your
- 40:04Speaker 5: chance to get it lower. We understand buy low and
- 40:07Speaker 5: sell high in every in every other context, except when
- 40:11Speaker 5: it come to investing. We got to change that. And
- 40:16Speaker 5: so guys, dollar cost average buy stocks when they're low,
- 40:20Speaker 5: buy consistently, and then have a mechanism in place on
- 40:24Speaker 5: top of dollar cost averaging. We may double our investment
- 40:27Speaker 5: if we can. If it's five percent down, ten percent down,
- 40:31Speaker 5: twenty percent down. If we have a long term outlook.
- 40:35Speaker 6: Okay, I mean the most important thing is having a plan,
- 40:39Speaker 6: and it kind of said I like the parameters around
- 40:41Speaker 6: what you're saying.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Right, we're going to dollar cost average number one.
- 40:44Speaker 6: We're gonna look at that asset and see if it's
- 40:46Speaker 6: appreciated whatever that percentage is.
- 40:47Speaker 3: I think that's important.
- 40:49Speaker 6: People get confused into saying, well, what stocks should I
- 40:52Speaker 6: be buying?
- 40:53Speaker 3: Right? What's your thoughts.
- 40:54Speaker 6: Around looking at around where I'm already invested in and
- 40:58Speaker 6: starting there? Right, So, if I have an iPhone, I
- 41:00Speaker 6: should be invested with Apple. I'm already invested in the
- 41:02Speaker 6: company from the consumer side. What's your thoughts around that mindset?
- 41:06Speaker 5: I love that you brought this up. I often say this,
- 41:09Speaker 5: and sometimes this don't go over well. You invest in
- 41:13Speaker 5: what you know, like in love, when you're first starting out,
- 41:17Speaker 5: that's still better than doing nothing. If we got our
- 41:20Speaker 5: phones right here, this is an Apple phone that's on
- 41:23Speaker 5: Verizon service. I own both of those stocks. Okay, But
- 41:28Speaker 5: now we're seasoned investors, we know way more that we
- 41:31Speaker 5: know the fundamentals of the company that we so we're
- 41:33Speaker 5: further down the road now. But when you're first starting
- 41:36Speaker 5: off investing what you know, like in love. Anything that
- 41:39Speaker 5: you use consistently, patronize consistently products you like or use
- 41:44Speaker 5: on a regular that's a good place to start because
- 41:46Speaker 5: at least you have an infinity in some type of
- 41:49Speaker 5: relationship and or connection with that asset that you're not
- 41:53Speaker 5: investing in. You're not just being a consumer. So start there.
- 41:57Speaker 5: But then you might learn down the road like oh
- 41:59Speaker 5: this this is a good company, but this is not
- 42:01Speaker 5: a good stock. Then you can try to get deep
- 42:04Speaker 5: and go off into the weeds a little bit and
- 42:07Speaker 5: figure out those nuances that this is a good company,
- 42:10Speaker 5: but it ain't a good stock. Let me not invest
- 42:13Speaker 5: in this and move on. But starting out, I'm a
- 42:16Speaker 5: big proponent get started number one dollar cost average, and
- 42:21Speaker 5: consider investing in what you know, like in love. Least,
- 42:25Speaker 5: it gives you a platform and a foundation to start with.
- 42:28Speaker 5: Now A'm saying you got to stay there. I'm just
- 42:30Speaker 5: saying start there before you branch out. So that's how
- 42:34Speaker 5: I feel about that, Troy.
- 42:35Speaker 3: It's important.
- 42:36Speaker 6: We went to watch the curriculum being taught in schools
- 42:39Speaker 6: and it was a lesson on what they should invest in.
- 42:41Speaker 6: And the interesting thing was, like they had an Apple
- 42:44Speaker 6: I phone, right they ordered Chipotle on Uber Eats while
- 42:48Speaker 6: wearing Nikes. I'm like, that's five companies right there that
- 42:51Speaker 6: you get companies right there while you're sitting there. Yeah,
- 42:54Speaker 6: Like people think it's like, how do I know the companies?
- 42:57Speaker 2: I know the company.
- 42:58Speaker 3: You are already patronized with the companies. Whether you know
- 43:01Speaker 3: or not, you.
- 43:01Speaker 5: Got you got it on.
- 43:03Speaker 4: It's good. It's good to mirror success and success that
- 43:08Speaker 4: most people have in a stock market out even knowing
- 43:10Speaker 4: it is there. Four one K. It's successful because it's
- 43:13Speaker 4: a workable model. It takes money out of your paycheck
- 43:17Speaker 4: every single month, every single time you get paid, so
- 43:20Speaker 4: you don't even realize it. That's dollar cost averaging. It's
- 43:23Speaker 4: not invested in individual stocks where you have to be
- 43:25Speaker 4: a stock market genius to pick. It's invested in index
- 43:28Speaker 4: funds and mutual fund type of portfolios where you have
- 43:32Speaker 4: a group of stocks. That's a workable model to follow.
- 43:37Speaker 4: So you as a as a regular retail investor, you
- 43:41Speaker 4: can follow that same blueprint right a discipline amount that's
- 43:46Speaker 4: coming out twice a month or once a month, just
- 43:49Speaker 4: like your four one K that's been proven to work.
- 43:53Speaker 4: Invest in an index fund, just like your four one
- 43:56Speaker 4: k that's been proven to work right over the course
- 43:59Speaker 4: of time. I like you said, as far as you
- 44:00Speaker 4: could do both, as far as a lump sum and
- 44:02Speaker 4: a dollar cost averaging. With you have two hundred dollars
- 44:05Speaker 4: a month that you're going to put into the market,
- 44:06Speaker 4: no matter what. The fifteenth of every month, two hundred
- 44:11Speaker 4: dollars is going into the market. Let's say one hundred
- 44:14Speaker 4: dollars goes into S and P, five hundred and one
- 44:16Speaker 4: hundred dollars goes into QQQ, and that goes every single month,
- 44:19Speaker 4: every single month. But then you know, you see an
- 44:23Speaker 4: opportunity because once you start to realize how market trends work,
- 44:26Speaker 4: and you know, we might have something where the stock
- 44:30Speaker 4: market goes down thirty percent, right, and now you see
- 44:32Speaker 4: buying opportunities where you can add more lump sum. This
- 44:36Speaker 4: might have been money that you might have three thousand
- 44:38Speaker 4: dollars that you just got back from your tax return.
- 44:40Speaker 4: Now in addition to the two hundred dollars that you've
- 44:42Speaker 4: been putting in. Now you're doing the lump sum adding
- 44:45Speaker 4: because you do want to you want to buy low
- 44:48Speaker 4: and sell high. Unless your dollar cost averaging, then you're
- 44:51Speaker 4: buying at all different costs. But the buy low, sell
- 44:54Speaker 4: high is still a mentality that you still want to
- 44:56Speaker 4: have as far, especially for lump sum. You never want
- 44:58Speaker 4: to buy something at the very highest point possible because,
- 45:02Speaker 4: like you said, that's when you start to say, yo,
- 45:04Speaker 4: where's my money at? Even Damon John, Damon John told
- 45:07Speaker 4: us the story, like he invested in the stock market
- 45:12Speaker 4: in like the summer of two thousand and one, and
- 45:18Speaker 4: then of course what happens in September, Yeah, nine to eleven.
- 45:25Speaker 4: The stock market crashes and he loses millions of dollars
- 45:30Speaker 4: on paper. He panics, he sells his position because he
- 45:34Speaker 4: thinks it's going to zero. But that that's the story.
- 45:38Speaker 4: And this is somebody that was already a millionaire. He
- 45:40Speaker 4: was already successful. So it's like that happens all the time.
- 45:43Speaker 4: You buy at the highest point possible. It's a natural
- 45:46Speaker 4: correction that's going to happen. You look at you look
- 45:49Speaker 4: at the computer, and you like, I put ten thousand,
- 45:51Speaker 4: and now I have six thousand. This is a Ponzi scheme.
- 45:55Speaker 4: I want my money. Yeah. To avoid that, don't chase
- 46:01Speaker 4: whatever is at the highest point, wait, wait for.
- 46:05Speaker 6: And it will That's just the natural cycle of it.
- 46:08Speaker 6: At some point there's going to be a correction. And
- 46:10Speaker 6: by definition, correction is anything over ten percent. Right, So
- 46:14Speaker 6: if a stop pulls back twelve percent, thirteen percent up
- 46:17Speaker 6: to twenty this is a correction, right. Anything before that
- 46:20Speaker 6: is a pullback. So anything from zero to ten percent
- 46:22Speaker 6: that's instead of pulled up. That's going to happen, and
- 46:24Speaker 6: naturally it should. It gives opportunity for new people to invest.
- 46:27Speaker 6: People always say by low, sell high. I'm telling you
- 46:30Speaker 6: buy low and hold long term, especially if I'm beginning right,
- 46:35Speaker 6: because if I start selling high, so then I might
- 46:37Speaker 6: I'm going to have my initial investment hopefully, but I
- 46:40Speaker 6: might sell out of the position. But if I keep
- 46:41Speaker 6: taking when it gets to a high, So make sure
- 46:44Speaker 6: that you allocate a plan in place to say, all right,
- 46:47Speaker 6: well I've hit a threshold. This is where I'm going
- 46:50Speaker 6: to take a little bit of profit. Take some profit.
- 46:52Speaker 6: You should don't take all the profit. A lot of
- 46:54Speaker 6: time we're like, oh, wait, we may do that, I'm
- 46:55Speaker 6: taking it out. No, you want your money to grow.
- 46:58Speaker 6: That's the point of this.
- 47:01Speaker 5: We have a mechanism for that too. When we get
- 47:04Speaker 5: the question, coach, when should I take profit? How do
- 47:07Speaker 5: I take profits. That's a system too. So to Troy's point,
- 47:12Speaker 5: when your money runs up, if you have let's say
- 47:16Speaker 5: you have one hundred shares, you can sell fifty shares
- 47:21Speaker 5: to take some profit, to lock some of that gain
- 47:25Speaker 5: in while still holding fifty and allowing that to run earners.
- 47:31Speaker 3: What's up?

- 48:42Speaker 6: people think podcasts about work are boring, and sure they
- 48:45Speaker 6: definitely can be, but understanding a professionals routine shows us
- 48:49Speaker 6: how they achieve their success little by little, day after day.
- 48:54Speaker 6: It's like banking with P and C Bank. It might
- 48:57Speaker 6: seem boring to save, plan and make calculated decisions with

- 49:21Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 49:24Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 49:28Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas. Man of Venezuelan charged with
- 49:33Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 49:37Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 49:40Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 49:44Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 49:49Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 49:52Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Have been arrested.
- 49:55Speaker 1: If you are here illegally, your next you will be
- 49:59Speaker 1: fine nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported,
- 50:03Speaker 1: you will never return. But if you register using our
- 50:07Speaker 1: CBP home app and leave now, you could be allowed
- 50:10Speaker 1: to return legally. Do what's right. Leave now. Under President
- 50:14Speaker 1: Trump America's laws, border and families will.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Be protected sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 50:21Speaker 5: If the eventual run continues in that stock, however, the
- 50:25Speaker 5: profit that you now have, you can go shop around
- 50:27Speaker 5: to see if there's any other better opportunities for that
- 50:30Speaker 5: profit you took to deploy your money into, and or
- 50:34Speaker 5: wait till the stock that you just took the profit
- 50:36Speaker 5: from to retest those levels that Troy just gave you
- 50:40Speaker 5: and then redeploy that money in either at or below
- 50:44Speaker 5: your average costs to rins and repeat the process. Because
- 50:48Speaker 5: it's over time, it's going to go right back to
- 50:50Speaker 5: some of those previous levels that it achieved along the journey.
- 50:55Speaker 5: And so if you have the right mindset, you can
- 50:57Speaker 5: play profit taking in that manner, and you can choose
- 51:01Speaker 5: whether you want to sell half or sell a third,
- 51:05Speaker 5: or buy and hold forever you can. You can massage
- 51:09Speaker 5: that a little bit, but have a plan for what
- 51:12Speaker 5: do you want to do, and or an exit plan
- 51:15Speaker 5: in case leadership change, in case the CEO leaves, in
- 51:20Speaker 5: case the board is changed. These are some of the
- 51:23Speaker 5: things as new beginner investors you want to be mindful of.
- 51:26Speaker 5: If you're thinking about selling, you're not just selling for
- 51:29Speaker 5: the sake of selling. You have to have a vehicle
- 51:33Speaker 5: as to why you're selling before you make that exit.
- 51:37Speaker 5: Because you should always be investor. You should always remain
- 51:40Speaker 5: in the market long term is the ultimate goal.
- 51:44Speaker 6: Chris, I want to tell you something because we use
- 51:46Speaker 6: the word love and when people say that they love
- 51:48Speaker 6: a company, well, I often think of emotion. What role
- 51:52Speaker 6: or psychological factor do you think emotions have to play?
- 51:55Speaker 6: If they have a role inside of investing.
- 51:57Speaker 5: You have to keep your evotions in check. We always
- 52:00Speaker 5: say in my community we don't fall in love with
- 52:03Speaker 5: any of these stocks. We ready to sign on papers
- 52:06Speaker 5: any given time, and so with us, I don't let
- 52:10Speaker 5: you fall in love with a stock. There are they
- 52:12Speaker 5: are as. There are a tool for you to get
- 52:15Speaker 5: to your financial goals, reach financial independence, or reach financial freedom.
- 52:21Speaker 5: Far is loving them, never selling them. We don't subscribe
- 52:25Speaker 5: to that per se. However, you can. You can be
- 52:28Speaker 5: in a relationship for a season with a stock. You
- 52:31Speaker 5: know what, I rock with Apple for the last three years. Okay,
- 52:34Speaker 5: that's fine, but that don't necessarily mean you're married to it.
- 52:38Speaker 5: That if Tim Cook get to acting up, that we
- 52:40Speaker 5: won't pull the trigger and find another asset to put
- 52:44Speaker 5: that and deploy that money into. So we don't. We don't.
- 52:47Speaker 5: We don't allow love to exist in investigating our stocks
- 52:52Speaker 5: because sometimes management change, things go out of season. You
- 52:56Speaker 5: see Blockbuster and Netflix. You have things like that that
- 53:00Speaker 5: come along. You have variety of things that will make
- 53:04Speaker 5: you make the decision that you know what is time
- 53:07Speaker 5: to exit. And I'm big on who the leadership. I'm
- 53:10Speaker 5: big on who's at the hem. I invest in people,
- 53:14Speaker 5: you guys, other goodlies. Mark Zuckerberg, elon Musk, I'm looking
- 53:20Speaker 5: at people. Okay, on top of the company you birth,
- 53:26Speaker 5: if that change, I got decisions to make. I ain't
- 53:30Speaker 5: saying this automatic sale, but I have decisions I didn't
- 53:32Speaker 5: need to make. So that's that's how we look at
- 53:36Speaker 5: keeping emotions out of investing and sticking to your thesis
- 53:40Speaker 5: that you laid out from the start.
- 53:43Speaker 4: All right, so let's go into Okay, so let's go
- 53:45Speaker 4: into next slot. Yeah, dividends. That's something that people talk
- 53:51Speaker 4: about a lot.
- 53:53Speaker 5: Dividends. Now, seventy five percent of companies paid dividend, and
- 53:59Speaker 5: that's simply they're retained earnings that companies are paying. But
- 54:02Speaker 5: oftentimes those seventy five companies are we're talking about your
- 54:06Speaker 5: blue chip, your old guard companies. They're so profitable that
- 54:11Speaker 5: they're now deploying the money into and to share their shareholders. Okay,
- 54:16Speaker 5: and so dividend stocks are Troy alluded to it. Rashida
- 54:21Speaker 5: alluded to Verizon. Think Verizon, Think Coca Cola, Think PEPSI,
- 54:27Speaker 5: think Modernant, think five. Think about those names that you
- 54:31Speaker 5: know or are familiar with that's been around for a
- 54:34Speaker 5: long time. They're done growing. They're not the hot stocks
- 54:38Speaker 5: that people are talking about. That's one clue that you
- 54:40Speaker 5: can use to understand whether or not something is is
- 54:44Speaker 5: at that stage that they could be paying potentially a dividend.
- 54:48Speaker 5: You can also look at dividend kings, dividend aristocrats, you
- 54:52Speaker 5: have other ways to kind of figure out who are
- 54:56Speaker 5: these companies that are paying dividends withh can serve as
- 55:00Speaker 5: some type of passive income for you as a shareholder. Okay.
- 55:05Speaker 5: Now you have to understand people that are dividend investors
- 55:09Speaker 5: have a different focus and a different goal in mind, okay.
- 55:13Speaker 5: And so if you're thinking dividends, you might not want
- 55:18Speaker 5: the volatility. You might not be looking for all the growth.
- 55:22Speaker 5: You just might be wanting a little kickback on the
- 55:25Speaker 5: amount you have invested. Okay. And so those type of
- 55:29Speaker 5: companies are there in the market for you to consider.
- 55:34Speaker 5: Stocks like a Tesla, which are growth companies, stocks that
- 55:38Speaker 5: are still in that growth mode, CrowdStrike, other stocks that
- 55:41Speaker 5: you might hear that are new or younger. They're not
- 55:46Speaker 5: at that stage to be paying out a dividend to
- 55:50Speaker 5: shareholders yet because they're still reinvesting all their money back
- 55:53Speaker 5: into the company to allow it to grow further and
- 55:57Speaker 5: do more innovation. So understand the differentference when you're thinking
- 56:01Speaker 5: about dividends, then you have reads for all my real
- 56:04Speaker 5: estate people out there, you have real estate Investment trust
- 56:09Speaker 5: and these vehicles allow you to invest in companies that
- 56:13Speaker 5: are solely focused on real estate, okay, and so they
- 56:18Speaker 5: too pay a dividend. That's why a lot of people
- 56:21Speaker 5: lean towards some of those stocks. So think about this.
- 56:24Speaker 5: If you guys are in Atlanta, If you guys are
- 56:27Speaker 5: in New York, think about your malls, Think about your
- 56:31Speaker 5: cvs is. Think about some of the buildings that those
- 56:36Speaker 5: places are in that their mall is housed in. Those
- 56:40Speaker 5: are reats, Okay. Then you have medical think about your hospital,
- 56:45Speaker 5: think about your grocery store, think about the building. We're
- 56:49Speaker 5: talking infrastructure. Those are ways for you to invest in
- 56:53Speaker 5: some of those vehicles, which they are required to pay
- 56:57Speaker 5: a dividend. Okay. So there there's ways to make passive
- 57:01Speaker 5: income through dividend investing, reinvesting. If you got a nice
- 57:06Speaker 5: slant towards real estate and you kind of want to
- 57:08Speaker 5: stand that lane on the top of the properties you
- 57:11Speaker 5: might own, but do it through investing in the stock market.
- 57:14Speaker 5: Reads are things you can consider alongside dividends.
- 57:18Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's important to know, especially from a diffidence standpoint,
- 57:22Speaker 6: the more you own the shares in the stock, the
- 57:24Speaker 6: more obviously you're going to pay back to you. And
- 57:26Speaker 6: I always tell people, right, like, try to get to
- 57:28Speaker 6: a threshold or a goal, right, whether it's going to
- 57:31Speaker 6: have one share to start with, maybe by the end
- 57:34Speaker 6: of the year, I want to have ten, Hopefully I
- 57:35Speaker 6: get to one hundred. I always say one hundred is
- 57:37Speaker 6: a good threshold, right, because that allows you to use
- 57:40Speaker 6: other derivatives to now trade. Right when we're talking about options,
- 57:43Speaker 6: having a hundred shares of it equals one call or
- 57:46Speaker 6: a put. So the more you own number one, you
- 57:50Speaker 6: can now trade differently. But it also gives you voting power, right,
- 57:53Speaker 6: So you'll start getting emails from some of these companies,
- 57:55Speaker 6: whether it's a micro Microsoft for Apple, because they're going
- 57:58Speaker 6: to have board meetings that they're going to have annual
- 58:00Speaker 6: meetings that you're gonna invite to that and have privy
- 58:02Speaker 6: to to watch. So there's benefits that come with owning shares.
- 58:06Speaker 6: Dividends is one of them, but there are also other
- 58:08Speaker 6: benefits as well.
- 58:09Speaker 5: Let's tell them this joy. Some growth companies become dividend companies,
- 58:15Speaker 5: they end up paying a dividend, maybe because of profitability
- 58:20Speaker 5: as well their balance sheet allows them to. So some
- 58:24Speaker 5: more companies now, for instance, Meta would be more what
- 58:29Speaker 5: is a growth company, and there's still got more growth
- 58:31Speaker 5: in it, but they're now paying a dividend. What you
- 58:34Speaker 5: will see when companies that are currently growth companies but
- 58:38Speaker 5: they have moved into panidividing, their dividend payout will be
- 58:42Speaker 5: a lot smaller. So if you look at the dividend
- 58:45Speaker 5: payout of Meta versus the dividend payout of Main Street
- 58:49Speaker 5: Capital or Capital Southwest or Verizon, you will notice a
- 58:55Speaker 5: vast different in the dividend yield. So understand that, yes,
- 59:00Speaker 5: some growth stocks are reaching that level of growth where
- 59:02Speaker 5: they are paying a dividend, but that dividend is smaller
- 59:06Speaker 5: to start out, and it will get bigger and snowball
- 59:09Speaker 5: years down the road. But right now you have some
- 59:12Speaker 5: of those dividend kings and some of those dividend aristocrats
- 59:15Speaker 5: that are simply relling in shareholders by way of the
- 59:20Speaker 5: payout of their.
- 59:21Speaker 3: Dividing, and nothing you need to do, right this is
- 59:23Speaker 3: automatically going to happen. Automatic They're going to send.
- 59:26Speaker 6: You an alert saying that there's a dividend being paid out,
- 59:28Speaker 6: it's going to go directly into your account. So if
- 59:30Speaker 6: you have shares, it's going to add into the value
- 59:32Speaker 6: of those shares.
- 59:33Speaker 5: And let's say this add this to the troy UH.
- 59:35Speaker 5: Dividend payouts come out. Some pay weekly, some pay monthly,
- 59:42Speaker 5: most quarterly. You need to know you can you can
- 59:45Speaker 5: build a whole system on certain stocks that will pay
- 59:48Speaker 5: you monthly, certain stocks that will pay you weekly, and
- 59:51Speaker 5: certain stocks that will pay you quarterly. You can have
- 59:54Speaker 5: a whole formula in terms of how you pick and
- 59:57Speaker 5: teer your stocks so that the they can pay you
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: in that manner and you always get something coming out.
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: And so that's the other thing. They pay in different timeframes.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: And also if you want to accelerate your growth, you
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: can choose to reinvest the dividend, yeah, with the company
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: whoever you're holding with, right, And that's you're just buying
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: more stock, more shares, but you're not actually taking five
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: hundred dollars. If they give you a dividend for four
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: hundred dollars, you just use that to put it back
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: into the market.
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: Yeah, And that's just that's a click of a button. Right,
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: If you wanted to have reinvested. You just actually clicked
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: that as an option on on your broger's account and
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: to do it for you.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Again, you don't this is automatic. You don't do anything.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: Would you recommend investing in a company just for a dividend?
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: Again, that type of question depends on the person's situation,
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: So like if they were solely looking for a dividend payout,
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: or like, for instance, guys, I have a dividend portfolio.
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: It's more for teaching purposes, but it helps me to
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: each people better. So mainstreat Capital and Verizon for example,
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: and Altria are some of the best paying dividend stocks.
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: But I use it. I use it to show the
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: masses that this can pay my consumer's energy bill or
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: we in Michigan dte okay. And so when they see
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: what my dividend payout is and then I show them
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: what the bill was on my energy and gas bill,
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: they're seeing the correlation that this had the ability to
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: pay this. Obviously, we're dripping we call dividend reinvestment. We're
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: dripped back into the play, so we're not actually paying
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: it with the dividend, but we're showing them that it
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: could actually pay a bill and what Troy told you
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: guys is key. The more money you get into the dividend,
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: the bigger the payout, So you could get to a
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: level where it could do something more substantial. Rashad talked
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: about recently for you guys about letting your investments pay
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: for your lifestyle. You can do that through dividend investing
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: that just take a lot of money, or you can
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: simply do it through long term investing and you will
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: see it happen and take shape organically over time. It's
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: ways to do it, and it's possible that it could
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: be done.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think you gave out a bunch of
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: good dival ones.
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: If anybody's looking at the dividends, I'll trio is that
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: was probably one of the top performed ones last year.
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: You talked about Chevron, Pepsicol, Coke the Rising, which we
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: spoke about. So they're out there and it's a quick search,
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: right like if you're on any of these publications. Morning
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: Star is a good source if you're going to use that,
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: they'll tell you how they're performing.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: You can watch this on a monthly basis.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: And then on the reach. It's important too that for
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: people to know the difference between equity and mortgage reach right,
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: like the mortgage reaches like mortgage backed securities, and equity
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: reaches like the actual malls and the physical property. So
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: if the real estate people like the two forms of
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: real estate that you can invest in the market, you
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: can actually invest like in the stock market and have
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: that real estate exposure for people that don't necessarily want
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: to go in and just buy a bunch of properties
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: and deal with that issues. All right, all right, let's
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: slip onto best button and share, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: Very IRAIS and retirement account Make sure I hit the
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: like button. Make sure you guys share this IRAIS and
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: retirement accounts. What are the options? Guys? These are things
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: Rasha alluded to this. You have some of these already.
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: Some of you have been investing blindly and passively just
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: through your job and dollar cost averaging. So some of
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: the things we talked about in our lesson today you
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: have been doing just by happenstance. Traditional wrathed IRA wrath
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: IRA are some investment in retirement accounts. You have your
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: four to one K. You guys all may be familiar
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: with that. If you have a W two type of job,
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: your four or three B. Myself and Troy, we are
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: former educators, and so we know about the four fifty seven.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: You got your health savings account. You have various ira
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: and retirement vehicles to investing. Let me break down this
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: traditional roth ira okay, and the roth ira. These two vehicles, okay,
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: not that there is a knock. There's never no knock
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: to investing. But they have caps, they have limitations, they
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: have income limits, okay, and so if you make a
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: certain amount over a certain threshold, then this might not
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: be readily available to you. You might have to do
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: a roth conversion. Okay, you have to do something different.
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: But a wroth ira is after tax dollars that you
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: guys would be investing. So after your money has went
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: into your work for one CA that they automatically debited
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: out of your account into your retirement. Hopefully you got
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: that at least seven percent or fifteen percent. We got
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: to do better with our allocation, okay, After tax dollars
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: would then go into your roth ira. Similar to what
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: Rashad told you guys earlier with you need to get
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: your own brokerage account. You got to have inside that
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: brokerage account a roth ira as well. So that you
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: can put up to the limit, which this year is
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: seven thousand dollars into that, and if you're over fifty,
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: you can put up another thousand, which would get you
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: up to eight thousand dollars on a year. And so
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: these are other things you can do in addition to
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: your stocks, in addition to your ETFs, in addition to
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: trading options, in addition to your money markets. These are
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: things you can do as well on the wealth building journey,
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: even as a beginner.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Yeah, an HSA thing is something that people don't talk
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: about a lot of either because.
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: They don't that's the game changer for me. The HSA
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: Health Savings Account gods just so you know, the acronym
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: health savings account. So whether you're married and or single,
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: if your insurance has a HSA a health savings plan,
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: you can use the money to take care of doctor bills, appointments,
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: code pays. But whatever money isn't used, the HSA invest
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: in it invested for you. Inside some of their allocations.
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: They have mutual funds that you can pick from growth tech,
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: some of the things that Shad told you guys about earlier.
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: Growth tech. You can do energy. They have it all
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: inside the HSA, just type health savings account, okay, and
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: you will see like health equity dot Com will come up.
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: You will see certain things come up. And if you
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: invest inside that I know, being married, we can put
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: up to seven a little over seven thousand, maybe seventy
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: eight hundred a year into this and guess what, guys,
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: it reduces your taxable income. Okay, So there's another way
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: for on that front, for you guys to also be
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: doing the right thing by your money, doing right by
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: your money, but also reducing your taxable income. And that money,
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: if not used for a copey simply is there growing
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: on your behalf and that can snowpole pretty big. For
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: those of you that stay on top of your health
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: and wealth.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: You can use it.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: You can sixty five. So if that's gonna be a
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: question people like, well, if I don't you you're supposed
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: to use the for medical expenses. If you don't use
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: it for medical expenses, if you can use it after
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: sixty five without getting penalized, Yeah, it's like it's another
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: form of retirement, right, another form saving money that you
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: have to pay like a deductibles or like you said,
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: out of the pocket medical expenses but it's invested in
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: the market. But as that's growing, if the money that
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: you don't spend. So if you're sixty five years old,
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: you have one hundred thousand dollars in HSA. Now that
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: effectively is like another IRA for you because you can
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: use that for your retirement without getting penalized. So if
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: you use it before that for anything other than medical expenses,
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: you get penalized. But if you use it after sixty five,
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: that's important for people to fully understand. So it's a
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: way to definitely, you know, kind of hedge with the
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: medical aspect of it, but also it's like a double
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: edged sword where you saving for retirement also if you
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: don't use it.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Chris, you brought something in terms of education.
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: I was both being education about maximizing these allocations. Now
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: at twenty five, I'm fresh in to the game. I'm
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: about to make sixty five thousand dollars for the year,
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: seventy dolls. You're not thinking, hey, I should take the
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: largest percentage, just like, all right, what's the lowest I
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: can put three percent?
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: I'm gonna do that.
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: Talk about the mindset and the ship because people are
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: looking like what can I do right now? Like this
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: is something that you can go to your HR department
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: like on Monday right and say, hey, I want to
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: actually max out my four or three B Talk about
- 1:09:24Speaker 6: the importance of that, because I don't think people really
- 1:09:26Speaker 6: understand it. Is that one guy that comes once a
- 1:09:28Speaker 6: year to talk to you about it at lunch and
- 1:09:30Speaker 6: you never see him and then you just forget about it.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: Talk about the importance.
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: It's so important because time is our greatest asset, and
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: so the earlier you can do these things, take advantage
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: of all these vehicles, the bigger your pot will be,
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: the bigger your nest egg will be when it's all
- 1:09:46Speaker 5: said and done. So listen to this. You can't miss
- 1:09:49Speaker 5: what you never had. You can't miss what you've never seen.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: If you take that allocation that they're going to buy default,
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: have it at between one and three percent, If you
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: move it to seven percent or fifteen percent, and you
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: get used to living your lifestyle around what your check
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: will then be when that comes to you every two
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: weeks or how often when you get paid, you won't
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: miss it because you didn't see it. It's only when
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: you see, oh man, my check three thousand dollars you
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: think you got three thousand dollars to spend. Okay, But
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: if you never seen three thousand or whatever your check
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: may be, because it is going to something that's going
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: to your future self is gonna thank you for. That's
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: how you get ahead of the game. And so the earlier,
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: if you're twenty four years old and you're seeing this,
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: the earlier you can go into your employer, your place
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: of employment and tell them, if I'm receiving a four
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: to one K contribution, can you make sure my allocation
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: is at least seven to twelve percent. Fifteen percent is
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: on the higher end, but that will even be good
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: if you can make that shake. If you're still living
- 1:10:54Speaker 5: at home and you don't have and your mom is
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: letting you do your thing, and you not having a
- 1:10:58Speaker 5: whole bunch of responsibility, put it at fifteen percent into
- 1:11:02Speaker 5: you get your own place, and then scale it back
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: down to seven. But you can't miss what you never had, okay.
- 1:11:08Speaker 5: And so if you get that mindset early, you're off
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: into the races. Okay. For me, it kind of clicked
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: when I was around twenty seven. Between that twenty seven
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: and twenty nine year range for me, you know what
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: I'm saying, but listen to how it happened. Though my
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: wife I saw her four A one K killing mine.
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: I'm looking like, what am I doing? My allocation was poor,
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: My allocation wasn't where it needed to be. I'm looking like, man,
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: I've been I was the administrator in higher education for
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: ten years? What am I doing? My investments? Because of
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: what I was controlling? Blew my higher education job, which
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: was good benefits, It blew those in. They blew that
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: four one K out the water. That showed me the
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: importance of man. My wife life retirement was way higher
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: than mine simply because hers was like at twelve or fifteen,
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: the whole teen year she was in the health field.
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: And so Troy brought it up. But it's need to
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: be said, do it as early as you can. Your
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: future self will thank you later.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: And then also before we leave this topic, it's impoint
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: people to understand the full one K forth to be
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: four fifty seven, like they'll give you a bunch of
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: different options. A lot of time people don't invest because
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: they don't know how to go about it, and there
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: intimidate it. One of the easiest ways is to pick
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: a target date fund, so a target date fund is
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: that it calculates your age and the age that you
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: would be like around sixty year postal retirement, so it
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: might be twenty thirty, twenty forty, twenty fifty, depends on
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: how old you are. And the whole theory with retirement
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: plan is that you got to be aggressive when you're
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: young and conservative when you get older, so it automatically
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: changes over the course of time. So that's a very
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: cookie cutter, easy approach to take if you if you
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: are like unsure of like twenty different options that you
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: have available to you. The target date is something that
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: is recommendable. I used to recommend it when I was
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: in advisor. It's like, that's something that is kind of
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: does the work for you and you don't have to
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: worry about changing in every five years and switching the allocations.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: And then sometimes you have a rough full one K
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: component two in your job. That's important to acts because
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: the wrong the difference between the ROW and the traditional
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: is that one takes money you save money today, which
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: is a traditional, when you save money later, which is
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: the ROW. So it depends on your situation. But if
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: you have let's say a million dollars in retirement and
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: you took out that whole million dollars at one time
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: from your four one K, you would get like six
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: hundred thousand net because that is fully taxable. So that's
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: important for people to fully understand, especially when you think
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: about your retirement. You think that you got a certain
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: amount of money, but you don't. You don't realize that
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: that's taxable state and federal tax. That's why a lot
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: of people to Florida when they retire because there's no
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: there's no state tax, but regardless the way you look,
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: you still gotta pay federal tax. But if you have
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: the row, if you have a million dollars, hypothetically, then
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: you took out all a million dollars at one time,
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: you would get one million dollars because it's not taxable.
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: But you didn't you didn't get a tax benefit when
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: you put the money in today. So that's important for
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: people to understand. As far as a tax, because we
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: don't talk about taxes at all, but even like capital
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: gains short term long term, that's important for people because
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: it's like you do a lot of like trading or
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: selling stocks, and you don't realize that you you're racking
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: up a tax bill and then at the end of
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: the year, you like, damn, I gotta pay taxes. I
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: didn't even know I had to pay taxes on this,
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: Like I kept it in my broken account and I
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: didn't put it in my bank account. But if you
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: sell a stock, you pay capital gains tax on that stock.
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: You don't pay capital gains tax on your retirement, but
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: you do pay federal and state tax if it's not
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: a row. So understanding that is in important because you
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: don't want to get like twenty years down the line
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: and it's like, damn, I wish I had a rough
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: because now I gotta pay hundreds of thousands of dollars
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: because I have millions of dollars in my four to
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: one K.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: Yeah, and you don't want to put the profits.
- 1:15:13Speaker 6: If you're talking about stocks into your account and say, oh,
- 1:15:15Speaker 6: this is all profit. Now, there's a percentage of that
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: that's going to be for taxes if it's been with
- 1:15:21Speaker 6: if you sold it within a year and a day,
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: that's going to be short term capital games. And depending
- 1:15:26Speaker 6: on your tax threshold, that's the allocation that you're gonna
- 1:15:28Speaker 6: have to pay for it.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: If it's over a year and a day.
- 1:15:31Speaker 6: It's long term, and again there's a cap on that
- 1:15:34Speaker 6: things like fifteen percent for the most part.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: Sometimes it does go up to twenty.
- 1:15:38Speaker 6: But that's a big percentage, right, I know, in the
- 1:15:39Speaker 6: short term it can get up to thirty thirty seven
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: to thirty nine percent. So you're talking about a twenty
- 1:15:43Speaker 6: percent difference if you just hold long term.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: That's why we always stress it.
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: Yeah, that's good, all right, all right.
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: Let's keep cooking, man, let's do it moving along.
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: But we got here money markets and h y s
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: a high yell savings account, guys. Money market accounts just
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: another account that you need to be mindful of, maybe
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: at your bank, Like Rashad told you, guys, if you
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: do open a brokerage account, your money is going into
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: some form of a money market account in that specific brokerage. Okay,
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: now listen to this. Money market accounts are based on
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: what's going on in the economy sometimes, and so you
- 1:16:30Speaker 5: might see the rates on those change. Now, it's still
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: a little bit better than a savings account, okay. And
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: so if you can get your money marketed account to
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: be at three zero point seven percent, four percent, if
- 1:16:44Speaker 5: you even get five percent on a money market account.
- 1:16:47Speaker 5: It's not a bad place to park your cash. Why
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: you're deciding what you want to invest in, okay, money
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: market is not an investment, so you want to make
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: sure you not playing a money market game thinking you're investing. No,
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: that money is. You're trying to devise a game plan
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: for where it's going to go, and you're letting it
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: build and grow wise sitting okay until your plan is finalized.
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: A high yeld savings account okay, is a little bit
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: better in terms of the rate of return you can
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: get on your capital that may be sitting in one.
- 1:17:21Speaker 5: Ally investments have some nice rates, okay, some nice CDs,
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: some nice regular rates. If your money is in a
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: checking and or savings account at Ally so Far has
- 1:17:33Speaker 5: some decent rates. Goldman Sacks has some decent rates. There
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: are plenty of vehicles with high yield savings rates that
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: make it worth at least getting some consideration, especially during
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: tons of uncertainty, during times where you may have doubt
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: about what you're doing, what to do next. These are
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: good vehicles. That's a part of the whole spectrum that
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: you might want to park your money into. Okay, So
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: these are just money market accounts and in high yold
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: savings account. I'll tell you guys this quick story. My
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: wife and I retired when we were thirty seven. I
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: worked in higher education. I worked at Notre Dame. She
- 1:18:13Speaker 5: worked in healthcare. And so check this out. When we retired,
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: we had a wealth team and my wealth team. Now
- 1:18:22Speaker 5: I won't go deep into all of how they allocate
- 1:18:25Speaker 5: our wealth, but one thing they did. We work to
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: go to the bank and we no longer have savings
- 1:18:33Speaker 5: and checkings account all of our money. We have eleven accounts.
- 1:18:37Speaker 5: Every one of them is in that's in a bank,
- 1:18:42Speaker 5: a money market and or high yield savings account. Look
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: at this. He told us to demand that they pay
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: five percent or we leave. So what we noticed was
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: this the one they gave us the rate number two.
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: The rate do go down if like over time, if
- 1:19:02Speaker 5: you don't go back in and make that same declaration
- 1:19:04Speaker 5: to them. But what we were noticing was that the
- 1:19:07Speaker 5: money we had sitting in our money marketing howyo savings
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: account were working on our behalf while we were able
- 1:19:16Speaker 5: to continue to invest, continue to look for real estate
- 1:19:20Speaker 5: and other opportunities commercial residential opportunities with the money we
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: had on hand okay, And so again, guys, there's ways
- 1:19:29Speaker 5: to be strategic about the wealth building journey using everything
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: that's at your fingertips, from stocks, ETFs, dividends, traditional iras,
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: roth iras, retirement accounts, four one case TSP plans four
- 1:19:46Speaker 5: fifty three, four to three, four fifty seven, four or three,
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: all of it, guys can be working for the greater
- 1:19:53Speaker 5: good of your future self. And so that's just a
- 1:19:56Speaker 5: note to kind of share with you guys that on that.
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: Level, your savings account.
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: So I mean, when you think about it, for the
- 1:20:04Speaker 6: most part, we were taught to put our money in
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: the bank and get a checking account and the savings account.
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: And if you ever looked at the yield on a
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: traditional savings account, it's like point zero zero three percent.
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: So I mean you demanded five percent. I kind of
- 1:20:17Speaker 6: liked that man five percent. Usually you see between four
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: to four and a half. So that the man with
- 1:20:22Speaker 6: five that that was.
- 1:20:23Speaker 5: A strong He told me the strong garment And that
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: wasn't even my personality type out And and I won't
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: even go into it. And I had one account that
- 1:20:33Speaker 5: was sitting with some bank for a year. They'll remain nameless,
- 1:20:37Speaker 5: and they didn't. They didn't even tell me that these
- 1:20:40Speaker 5: vehicles existed. I'm looking like, Wow, I had one hundred
- 1:20:44Speaker 5: K sitting in this account for almost ten years. It
- 1:20:48Speaker 5: ain't earned nothing. It still was the same exact amount. Yeah,
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: I'm still heard about that one. Don't even get me
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: going down that bro.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: Two cents a month, two cents a month.
- 1:20:59Speaker 5: And so but when I got with my team and
- 1:21:01Speaker 5: he he, he informed me about that, and it was
- 1:21:05Speaker 5: he said, the bank worked for you. And that's another thing.
- 1:21:08Speaker 5: I don't know if our community understands you can tell
- 1:21:11Speaker 5: the bank what to do with your money, because if
- 1:21:13Speaker 5: you don't, they're going to lend it out and make
- 1:21:15Speaker 5: it return on your money. And so it was just
- 1:21:18Speaker 5: as little new one. It ain't nothing that's even that deep.
- 1:21:21Speaker 5: It was just like, hey, I want my money in
- 1:21:24Speaker 5: this the type of account, and I want this percent.
- 1:21:27Speaker 5: If not, I'm leaving, I'm taking it up the street.
- 1:21:30Speaker 5: He already had gave us other options that made that
- 1:21:33Speaker 5: that to consider. That would do it. They didn't want
- 1:21:36Speaker 5: to see you leave, so they got on the eight
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: ball and so salute to them.
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: Real Detroit player.
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: Also, CDs been going absolutely like the rates ORCS have
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: been going up a lot too, even pretty competitive rates
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: these days too.
- 1:21:59Speaker 5: Yep, we got those as well. Those are other vehicles
- 1:22:03Speaker 5: to consider in addition to ones that's been laid out
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: in this episode.
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: All Right, all right, all right, so I think we
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: got one more slide.
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: Let's bring it on.
- 1:22:14Speaker 5: Home, Bring it on home, and there's just some resources.
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: Troy talk to you guys about morning Star. I want
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: you guys to add Morningstar Investing dot Com. Now, this
- 1:22:26Speaker 5: whole website is good, but there's a.
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: Good go ahead. That's my joint right there.
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: Yep, it is the one, and this whole site is
- 1:22:36Speaker 5: good if you guys are investing, if you're new, if
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: you just want to be in the know about what's
- 1:22:42Speaker 5: going on. But there's a tab inside investing dot Com
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: called Calendar, and so this one helps you know all
- 1:22:51Speaker 5: of those events that are coming up on the day,
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: the week, the month, so that you can kind of
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: be just aware informed about when CPI is coming, when
- 1:23:02Speaker 5: PPI is coming, when the FED speech is coming, when
- 1:23:05Speaker 5: the Fed minuce is coming out. Other news about the
- 1:23:09Speaker 5: Asian market, the Europe market, just Japan like, it has
- 1:23:14Speaker 5: so much information for those that wants to go that
- 1:23:16Speaker 5: deep into it that you're fully informed on either what's
- 1:23:20Speaker 5: coming down the pipe, what moves, and what plans you
- 1:23:23Speaker 5: might want to put in place for something that may
- 1:23:26Speaker 5: be about to happen in the future. But investing dot
- 1:23:29Speaker 5: com is one that I want all of you guys
- 1:23:31Speaker 5: to consider.
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: Bloomberg, Chris, let me just ask something really quick about
- 1:23:35Speaker 6: investing dot com because I think it's important for anybody.
- 1:23:38Speaker 6: And people will hear the word technical analysis, the fundamental analysis.
- 1:23:43Speaker 6: I think this is one of those sites that combines
- 1:23:45Speaker 6: both the fact if you start opening up some of
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: the charts, it makes it a separate page in itself,
- 1:23:50Speaker 6: and then it compares it by sect. There it concerns
- 1:23:52Speaker 6: of it, by industry. It compares it on a broad scale.
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: It is a wealth of information. Plus they'll tell you
- 1:23:59Speaker 6: the hot streak, So if you ever go to that
- 1:24:01Speaker 6: page of the top one hundred, they'll tell you what
- 1:24:04Speaker 6: companies are now hitting the hot streak by their criteria.
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: It's one of the best sites that you can use.
- 1:24:09Speaker 5: Absolutely for more information. Bloomberg will be one just if
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: you want to know information what's going on with the
- 1:24:16Speaker 5: overall market, economy, jib, political things that might be coming
- 1:24:21Speaker 5: down the pipe with stocks, you know, like in love
- 1:24:23Speaker 5: that you might be investing in. Bloomberg is a good
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: place everybody that rocks for me. We are commanded to
- 1:24:30Speaker 5: watch CNBC on a regular just to just that's our
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: sports center. That's the ESPN for traders, okay. And so
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: CNBC you want to just see what tickers are flashing,
- 1:24:43Speaker 5: whatever they're saying, what the breaking news is at the
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: top of the hour, every top of the hour at
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: ten o'clock, in two o'clock, CNBC will hit you at
- 1:24:52Speaker 5: breaking news. Oftentimes these moves can shift the market. So
- 1:24:57Speaker 5: no key time frames in the market as well, that
- 1:25:00Speaker 5: your stock may change course or direction at certain hours
- 1:25:05Speaker 5: throughout the day. And this is Eastern time, okay. But
- 1:25:08Speaker 5: CNBC is another one. And then even though Troy just
- 1:25:12Speaker 5: gave y'all the gym is investing dot com, I still
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: through in here trading view. You can get all this
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: on investment dot com. But you trading view good charts
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: Yahoo Finance, we will think or swim got good charts.
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: There's things you might want to know in terms of
- 1:25:32Speaker 5: I use technical analysis for example, to buy my stocks
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: as well, like to get an entry to see when
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: something has pulled back to the two hundred day movie average.
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: That's a little more advanced, but you might get to
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: that place as a beginner, where do I buy my stocks?
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: When do I buy? If you're not calculating five percent down,
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: ten percent down, twenty percent down, you might want a
- 1:25:54Speaker 5: technical viewpoint of where that stock is at and when
- 1:26:00Speaker 5: is a good entry for you to get it. And
- 1:26:02Speaker 5: so that wraps it up. Guys, just a few resources
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: for people give them.
- 1:26:06Speaker 6: I'm gonn give them a few more that they can
- 1:26:08Speaker 6: write down. The writing is one that's filled with a
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: lot of notes. Bar chart are still thing is important.
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: I love the support and resistance section on it. A
- 1:26:18Speaker 6: lot of people who are trying to figure out how
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: I read the chart.
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: Troy Troy add add unusual options on bar chart.
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: Section.
- 1:26:29Speaker 6: Inside of unusual options, it'll tell you the analyst ratings.
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: So you'll see, hey, when they tell you this analyst
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: is now saying it's a bah. Well, you can see
- 1:26:36Speaker 6: overall throughout the market how many are saying so, Toby,
- 1:26:39Speaker 6: what's the percentage of people that are saying toabai?
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: So these things the things you should look at.
- 1:26:42Speaker 6: I think stimizes another one, especially around earnings, which we
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: know is quarterly, but it's like the Super Bowl every
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: quarter for these companies. To see what they're reporting, what
- 1:26:52Speaker 6: their guidance is. You can see what Wall Streets expecting.
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: You could actually start predicting what you think and what
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: other people on the side are looking at as well,
- 1:26:59Speaker 6: to get kind of a good gauge.
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: I still use Zachs.
- 1:27:02Speaker 6: I think zax is a good site when it's the
- 1:27:06Speaker 6: free one is pretty cool, but the payd one's even better.
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: I'm still using Wall Street Journal.
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: I think it's important, especially when I'm looking for fundamentals.
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: A lot of times they're breaking stories and so prior
- 1:27:16Speaker 6: to everybody waking up, I gotta check what's happening on
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: before it even gets to ce NBC.
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: I want to read in Wall Street Journal.
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: If you add all these things, this is a wealth
- 1:27:24Speaker 6: of information, a wealth of places of resources to get
- 1:27:27Speaker 6: knowledge before you make a decision. You have to make
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: the research part of your plan, right, so you can
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: have the stock make the research part of your plan,
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: because now you're making an educated decision before you make
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: an investment.
- 1:27:37Speaker 5: I love it.
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: And then a couple of other resources market mondays, Oh.
- 1:27:42Speaker 5: Sure, Mondays, make sure you'all tap in.
- 1:27:46Speaker 4: And you deserve to be rich.
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: The number one star to be rich. Hey, guys were
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: making that number one, Same game money team, y'all know
- 1:27:55Speaker 5: what we do. Y'all know how we do. Make sure
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: we push that to number one on the charts. We
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: talk about number one, not the New York Times bestseller list.
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: We talking about number one bestseller. You deserve to be
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: rich out not.
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: I appreciate that. So with that being said, this still
- 1:28:10Speaker 4: one day we're running the promo. You can go to
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: you Deserve to be Rich deal dot com. You deserve
- 1:28:16Speaker 4: to be rich deal dot com and if you buy
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: the book, you get thirty days free uy University and
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: all information is on that website and it goes through
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: everything you need to do. So yeah, we got to
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: push that. But Chris, I want to thank you for
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: your time. Talk about you. Talk about you as far
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: as like you know, your community, your platform, your YouTube channel,
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: like you know people that might not be familiar, like
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: talk about what do you actually do as far as
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: on on the content side.
- 1:28:41Speaker 5: We built the organic empire.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: Of course, our saluted you guys along the way because
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: it was just good to see two brothers, two best
- 1:28:50Speaker 5: friends doing what you guys do. But in lateral to
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: you are trailblazing. I've been slowly doing the same and
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: built the organic empire like you alluded to. We got
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: a I got a huge discord community. I gotta it's
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: over fifty thousand and now on the Money Team community.
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: But I'm I'm a teacher, so we it's a it's
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: a learning environment. All we do is teach. We teach
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: risk management and how to read the chart candle structure.
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: We're just big and heavy into that. Of course, what
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: we talked about today, that's the top of the funnel,
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: and then once you get down it, you get to
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: the teaching and learning part. So so with me, coaching
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: is required. You do one on one coaching, we do
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: group coaching, and we foster that organic community that and
- 1:29:41Speaker 5: we do this so you guys know, every time you
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: guys do invest Fest, to keep the momentum going, we
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: have a trader's meetup because one thing I noticed attending
- 1:29:50Speaker 5: Investmentest there's so much contagious energy still in the room
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: days later that nobody's capitalizing on. So what what our
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: community do. We take all the high energy and high
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: performers that's really ready and we meet up. So we do,
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: we do tours. I'm big on we have a community
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: that show up. They That's why I said we're gonna
- 1:30:14Speaker 5: make sure your book get number one, because they gonna
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: do what we That's how we do. But I'm saying
- 1:30:19Speaker 5: that to say we do trader meetups in La Chicago, Florida, Miami,
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: and in Texas. But it's to keep the momentum going
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: from what they experience what you guys do. Okay, and
- 1:30:35Speaker 5: so we notice we can't allow no drop off because
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: we still got too much work to do. So the
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: whole community is about live. I'm talking about touching people live,
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: like letting them be accessible, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: And then every day in the discord and part of
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: the way, they're two separate things. So they're not they're
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: not mutually excrewed, they're they're two separate things. So if
- 1:30:59Speaker 5: you want a disc you get a certain set of services,
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: but if you're on a money team, you get a
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: different set of services. That's on a whole nother level.
- 1:31:07Speaker 5: And so we've been able to do that rashot at
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: a high level since twenty twenty, I want to say,
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: and right now it's just a. It's a beautiful community
- 1:31:17Speaker 5: to be a part of where everybody is eager to learn,
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: grow and just be better with their finances.
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: Fun. How can they follow you? Like, what's your social man?
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: I need all the help I can get. We would
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: slow to Instagram, man, so Chris saying underscore Chris Underscoes saying,
- 1:31:37Speaker 5: there's my name on Instagram, Twitter. Of course, I'm more
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: prevalent on YouTube and so just my name, Chris saying
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: on YouTube where you can find me there, chrisaying dot com.
- 1:31:49Speaker 5: If guys, you want to join one hundred K challenge,
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: that's another thing, rashad it was a game change. We
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: have a legendary one hundred K challenge zero to one
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: hundred k. So we have a tier of people that
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: join because they're trying to make their first ten k,
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: a tier people that's trying to make their first twenty
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: five K, fifty K, seventy five K, and one hundred k.
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:32:08Speaker 5: If I showed you guys the testimonials and the outcomes
- 1:32:11Speaker 5: of that, that's a whole. That's the whole thinking and
- 1:32:15Speaker 5: of itself. That really gets people galvanized and mobilized in
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: one place, are shooting for their own individual goal. We
- 1:32:23Speaker 5: have a saying, run your race at your pace. Don't
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: keep up with what nobody else doing on social media.
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: Run your race. If you don't know how to trade,
- 1:32:33Speaker 5: you can't expect to do what Troy able to do. Okay,
- 1:32:36Speaker 5: you got to learn what you You got to learn
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: how to just make one hundred dollars a day. And
- 1:32:41Speaker 5: so your goal on one hundred k may be different
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: than a person that come to me from boring. He
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: an engineer, he got six hundred thousand, but he just
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: ain't never invested. Your goal might be different than his.
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: And so you have to run your race at your pace.
- 1:32:54Speaker 5: And so that has changed a lot of lives. But
- 1:32:57Speaker 5: it gives us a goal and we walk it out
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: or twelve months. It don't take us that long to
- 1:33:01Speaker 5: hit one hundred k. I saw that seventy eight k
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: you hit Rasha, so you already smashing half of the
- 1:33:08Speaker 5: group just on en route to that. But that's how
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: we do. We do one hundred k in a week
- 1:33:14Speaker 5: and the month sometimes and so but it's a beautiful
- 1:33:17Speaker 5: community as well. And then it's just a bunch of
- 1:33:20Speaker 5: like minded individuals. One thing I would say I do
- 1:33:22Speaker 5: a coaching So it gives me a little more insight
- 1:33:25Speaker 5: than your average person. And I talk to the people.
- 1:33:28Speaker 5: It ain't my team, it's me talking to the people,
- 1:33:31Speaker 5: and so I get these stories every day. And one
- 1:33:34Speaker 5: thing I noticed is that they are eager to learn.
- 1:33:40Speaker 5: I got the best spirited people. They come with the
- 1:33:42Speaker 5: right energy, come with the right mindset, and I just
- 1:33:44Speaker 5: love it. In a lot of days, which I salute
- 1:33:47Speaker 5: you guys for we don't feel like showing up. Sometimes
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: it's the love and the energy from the people that
- 1:33:52Speaker 5: energizes you and gets you through and gets you going
- 1:33:56Speaker 5: and gets you up for that next day. And so
- 1:33:59Speaker 5: that's a little bit of it in a nutshell.
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: Man, absolute thank you for coming on. I think this
- 1:34:05Speaker 4: was very helpful and beneficial and I'm sure a lot
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: of people will gain great insight. Hopefully it could push
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: people to, you know, take the first step. I always
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: say the most important step is the first step. So
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: you know, there's a lot of people that's kind of
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: on the fence and thinking about it and a little nervous,
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: and you know, so just start, man, it doesn't matter
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: if it's a thousand dollars, one hundred dollars, whatever you've got,
- 1:34:29Speaker 4: start be intelligent, be disciplined. If you're not gonn get
- 1:34:33Speaker 4: anything else from out of it's just understand that it's a marathon,
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: right like, one day at a time, one day at
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: a time, put the money in. It's not something that
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: you're going to become a billionaire overnight. But you can't.
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: You can't change it, change your situation with discipline over
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: the course of time. So you know, perfect, perfect way
- 1:34:55Speaker 4: to start the new year. Absolutely hopefully you know, hopefully
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: everybody that that's watching it. Yes, if you haven't invested,
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: hopefully you know by next week, you guys have your
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: brokerage account set up, you have money in your brokerage account,
- 1:35:08Speaker 4: and you'll be ready to you know, place your first
- 1:35:11Speaker 4: investment hopefully.
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: I said, Man, that's the rules for investment.
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: Man, start where you are, use what you can and
- 1:35:17Speaker 6: do what you get what you have what you can
- 1:35:18Speaker 6: as well. It's the mindset around it is just begin,
- 1:35:22Speaker 6: just begin. So from one educated to the next man,
- 1:35:25Speaker 6: we salute you brother.
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: This is I'm excited. I'm excited to see people get involved.
- 1:35:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:35:31Speaker 6: I had this conversation the other day about the proximity
- 1:35:34Speaker 6: to success and wondering, like you know, there's people around
- 1:35:37Speaker 6: us that have close proximity to us. They haven't opened
- 1:35:40Speaker 6: their brokerage account, right, but somebody's going to encourage them, right.
- 1:35:43Speaker 6: They might hear it from somebody else sometimes and it's like,
- 1:35:46Speaker 6: all right, this is the starting point. So twenty twenty five,
- 1:35:49Speaker 6: we speak about it and it sounds fearful, but this
- 1:35:52Speaker 6: is the most important five years that we're going to
- 1:35:54Speaker 6: see when you're talking about the obviously from the political landscape,
- 1:35:57Speaker 6: but the way technology is had it, we can't miss
- 1:36:00Speaker 6: this opportunity.
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: And so the best time to start is today.
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: Absolutely, appreciate you, brother, I appreciate youall having me man.
- 1:36:09Speaker 4: As always, love and thanks to everybody that watch. We'll
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: see you guys next week.
- 1:36:14Speaker 5: Let's make sure that book is number one you deserve.
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: That's a great.
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: Make sure you get the book. Get the book a
- 1:36:20Speaker 4: couple of hours left before that, before that, that first
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: week cycle is over. So we need all all book
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: sales help, every book sales help. Hard copy is better
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: than audio. So yeah, if you're going get the audio,
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: get the hard copy too. Even if you don't.
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: He's done plenty of times. Man, you you read the
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: book while you listen to us. Read it with you.
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: So that's dope and it's us. It's us too.
- 1:36:45Speaker 5: Family.
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: Yes, all right, guys, we'll see you next week.
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: Peace.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from El Salvador
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: Do what's right, leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
