Micaiah: Well, what's coming from three Michigan fans is mostly college football. Another episode, another day, another dollar. It's good to be back. I'm Captain Boring. So don't forget to like, subscribe, and share. Thank you to the three brand new followers on YouTube. We up Simeon Schlicher: Shout out. Micaiah: we appreciate you all. Thank you to everyone who interacted with us on TikTok and called us dumb. We're not, but you can still think that. Roberto Con Queso: Well, hold on. I kinda am. Micaiah: Okay. Hey, you might be dumb, but you're not an idiot, right? Roberto Con Queso: Amen, brother. Micaiah: All right. All right. We got a banging show for you today. No, we're not banging on the show, but we do got Simeon Schlicher: Come on. Micaiah: a gr great show for you today. we're the A the AP poll dropped, so we'll go over that. and we're going to pick the all fourth in one team. We're gonna pick some superlatives. We're going to talk about Jaden Daniels and LSU and all that drama. But we are going to start in Happy Valley because it is very happy, and we know why there is a nickname Happy Valley now. There is a new whiteout in Penn State, and that would be the cocaine. Like I said, we're mostly college football. This has nothing to do with college football. No football players were involved that we know of. Roberto Con Queso: Well, it has everything to do with college football. 'Cause NAL is not paying for itself. Micaiah: Well, that's true. That's true. Just the you know who was paying for all the NIL? Pablo Pledge Scobar. He is the dubbed kingpin of the large-scale cocaine trafficking ring that was being operated out of Penn State University Fraternities that was busted yesterday. Wild story. Robert, you had this first, so I'll let you talk about it. Roberto Con Queso: yeah, I saw it, it came across yesterday and I was like, hm, that's kinda weird. Pulled that bad boy up and penn State's in the headlines again. Hey, when push comes to shove, I don't see Michigan or Ohio State doing the hard stuff. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, right. Like there isn't Micaiah: I mean Simeon Schlicher: co cocaine at any at literally every college campus ever. Yes, thank you. Micaiah: Hey, s well Simeon, you you Roberto Con Queso: Is that better? Okay. Micaiah: you know that you know the rule. You know, you drive across the border from Ohio to Michigan, immediately weed. Immediately weed. Okay, Simeon Schlicher: Weed. Immediately weed. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: so so they're they're doing soft stuff, okay? They're doing soft stuff in Ann Arbor and maybe even Columbus. wild story. Simeon Schlicher: Listen, Columbus is Roberto Con Queso: I mim. Simeon Schlicher: in the south of Ohio. Last time I checked, so they are not doing soft stuff in Columbus. Roberto Con Queso: When push comes to shove though, this is a Florida drug. This is like you know, this Micaiah: yeah, big time Florida move. Roberto Con Queso: is a Miami University drug. Like, Micaiah: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: to be in the middle of nothing Pennsylvania, nothing. To be like, yeah, we're running a Coke ring through the college. Simeon Schlicher: He's probably from the Philly area. His parents probably have a house down in Florida. Roberto Con Queso: no he was New York, the kingpin. Micaiah: It it is it is kind Simeon Schlicher: Okay. Micaiah: of the last college like besides the Dakotas and the Big Sky Conference, right? And maybe even Washington, Oregon. It would be the kind of the last college you would think of that would have a big cocaine ring associated to it. I mean, not top ten. I mean, we can make a top ten if we want of this. Simeon Schlicher: All right, top ten, Miami number one. Micaiah: Florida State number two. Roberto Con Queso: I mean Florida s Florida State, Florida let's just go through the mo the Florida schools. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, Florida State number two. Yeah. Micaiah: All of Florida, so that's seven. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, definitely. Roberto Con Queso: Now let's go to the California schools. Simeon Schlicher: No, California's o the tweed. I Micaiah: I I I think I think that's more fentanyl and weed, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: No, fentanyl, that's Philadelphia, born and raised. That yeah, that's Temple, Villanova Simeon Schlicher: Villanova Temple Micaiah: And that's Villanova Temple. Simeon Schlicher: question after we get through all seven schools in Florida, the other three, is that New York? Is that Atlanta? Micaiah: Maybe New Jersey, maybe Rutgers. Simeon Schlicher: See it? Roberto Con Queso: Ooh, Ivy League schools. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, Harvard. Yeah. NYU. They don't count, but like yeah. Micaiah: yeah, yeah, yeah. K the the n the Northeast, Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Yeah. Micaiah: Boston College, Harvard, Yale. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: Yeah. The Pacific Northwest, they just got ketamine. Simeon Schlicher: Interesting K holes. Roberto Con Queso: T. Micaiah: yeah, so I w Florida, Florida International, they're in there, right? They're they're in Miami. That's downtown Miami. Yeah, yeah. So Simeon Schlicher: We said seven schools, Makaiah. Yeah. No one was thinking FCS Florida. No one was thinking about Florida A and Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Florida Gulf Coast. Micaiah: Florida Gulf Coast. Would you go into Georgia and Alabama with cocaine or no? Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, for sure. Florida Bama? Are you kidding me? Mobile? Roberto Con Queso: Well I mean if I g if you say like can would it make you drive fast? Micaiah: Yes, it would make you drive fat. Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: I mean there's a reason they're partying in Athens, Roberto Con Queso: Be Simeon Schlicher: you know? Roberto Con Queso: because if you're driving fast then a hundred percent. Simeon Schlicher: I mean, I'm not gonna speak for Robert or Makaiah, but I have not done this drug and I like how we're talking about it like we know, just based off of stereotypes. Roberto Con Queso: I mean it's all speculation. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah. Micaiah: I I've never done cocaine. Yeah. Yeah, th that's true. Roberto Con Queso: Innocent until proven guilty. More than likely they are a thousand percent guilty. However, they gotta go through the the the court system out of state college, which they're not football players, so it should be Oakland and Sinker. Simeon Schlicher: Well, the I I f you know, I I wanna say I feel bad for Penn State, but boy when they do it, they do it up. Micaiah: Yeah, they they do it up for for sure. And I mean, better than touching kids, for sure. Simeon Schlicher: Well, that's one way to do it up if you're Sandusky. Micaiah: Or yeah, or do a town, you know. I don't I don't want I don't want you Roberto Con Queso: I mean I don't know what you want me to say on that. So Micaiah: to I don't want you to say anything on that. if I Simeon Schlicher: He's dead now, right? Micaiah: if I'm the A D or the president, Roberto Con Queso: think so. Micaiah: I immediately drug test every single football player. Immediately. Simeon Schlicher: No, because then you wouldn't have a football team. Micaiah: Wait. I there I don't cocaine's Hard dri I I think you're getting your dopamine Russian football from clanking heads with people, not from putting a little booger sugar up your nose. Simeon Schlicher: I mean, I don't know, I gotta do I O money somewhere. Roberto Con Queso: I guess what else would you do in State College, Pennsylvania though? Micaiah: I I mean Roberto Con Queso: Like like what else would you do other than if you're not going to watch a football game or a wrestling match, Micaiah: Yeah. Uh-huh. Roberto Con Queso: than doing hard drugs on a college campus? Like Simeon Schlicher: He's Micaiah: I mean drinking a Simeon Schlicher: not he's not dead. He is in Laurel Highlands in Somer set County for the record. Micaiah: Simeon, what are you talking about? my goodness. Simeon Schlicher: Jerry Sandowski. I'm I'm back on Micaiah: Why are we talking about Jerry Sandusky? yeah, there's not much to do. Simeon Schlicher: It all started somewhere. Micaiah: There's not much to do up there. And that's for sure. But a wild story to come out of Happy Valley that is, we now know why it is happy. But so that is your some other news other than college football. But we are moving to things that are related to college football, and the AP poll dropped. So it is a little, Simeon Schlicher: Boom. Micaiah: it is a little bit different. Simeon hates the AP poll. We'll get into that in just a second. Just some the top ten of the AP poll is Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia, Notre Dame, Texas, Indiana, Miami, Texas AM, Old Miss, and Oklahoma. The only changes from between the AP top 10 and the coaches poll top 10 are Notre Dame and Texas are flipped four and five in the AP. Notre Dame is higher. And Oklahoma and Old Miss are flipped. Old Miss is higher than Oklahoma in the in the AP version of the top 10. Some notable things. AP still gave Indiana eight first place votes, which is the third most, but they are six. And why don't we start there? They were six in the coaches' poll, but fourteen. I think it's just dumb that Indiana's that low. Yes, Saman. Simeon Schlicher: I here's my question. I have two I have two points. the first or the first question. One, why don't we just leave the rankings how they finished last season and let teams figure it out through the regular season? Just an idea. Cause like why is Ohio State one? Why is Texas five? Which leads me to question number two. Why on God's Green Earth is Michigan on this list? At all? Micaiah: 'Cause they're they're them kind of that ranking there, sixteen through eighteen, those three teams are getting a lot of shatter from other networks, more popular shows than are of hey, they might be pretty good. Penn State's got the easy schedule, Washington's got a dynamic quarterback and a head coach that can call plays, and then everyone's like, Michigan won three games with With a head coach focused on his mistress more than he was football, so now they got a an adult in the room and a whole bunch of adults in the room, Michigan might be pretty good. You know? That's why they're sixteen. Simeon Schlicher: I d I d I feel like a poll should be based off of performance and we haven't seen anything. And I get that I'm just saying what you've said multiple times on this podcast, but a poll and in the group chat, but a poll should be based off of performance and we haven't seen anything, and this is just the popularity context. Roberto Con Queso: Well, Michigan finished twenty first last year. So based Micaiah: Shut up. Roberto Con Queso: off of your knowledge anyways, they would be on the they would be on. Case in point. However Simeon Schlicher: I yes, I understand. I I realize today that twenty Micaiah: Got him. Simeon Schlicher: twenty five and twenty twenty six are just blended to together in my brain. Roberto Con Queso: Penn State is ranked 18. I mean, yeah, they ended on a high note, but they could have been the first or second C. Micaiah: Haha No pun intended. Roberto Con Queso: Hey, it's just it all comes together. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: they could have been, if anything, they could have been one of the first or second ones of the others receiving votes, like sitting at twenty six, twenty seven, like to get their way in. but I mean, overall. I don't know. The A Ps stupid doesn't count for anything. Micaiah: It so s Simeon, I mean Clemson's not ranked in the AP. So if LSU if L SU's beat Simeon Schlicher: They got a hundred and they got a hundred and twelve votes though. Micaiah: right, they're they're the next one out, quote unquote. Simeon, you would not have Michigan in the top twenty five. Robert, who would you not have in the top twenty five? Roberto Con Queso: Probably Penn State. That would be the one like but like I said, they would be at like twenty six. They'd be the first ones out just because they're sp you get new coach, bringing in a whole new team, new offense defense. So you don't really know who they're coming out of or what they're gonna be really. other than that, I mean everyone else has kind of proven that they're at least top twenty five caliber. You know, whether you The Michigan at sixteen, they probably could have been down in twenty twenty one and it probably would've made more sense. Micaiah: I'm gonna take out Utah just because they lost their offensive coordinator, their head coach, they lost a lot of key pieces. They lost their edge. I mean, they lost a lot of key pieces to Michigan. so I would take Utah out if I'm taking anyone out. not to say Utah won't be good because I because no one knows, right? Like Ohio State could go five and seven, unlikely, but that could happen. You know, Missouri could go 12 and 0 again, unlikely, but that could happen. A anything can happen this time of year. That's why preseason is so hyped. Roberto Con Queso: I do have to say though, did you notice the points between Michigan and Washington? Two hundred and seventeen points. So Micaiah: seven eighteen No, I did not see that until you just said something. Roberto Con Queso: that's a pretty big gap between them because everyone else is relatively close. USC and BYU are essentially the same. They could go back and forth. And it's really not until what A and in Miami, that's another another two hundred forty point jump. Like They're all relatively close, but it just falls apart in certain spots. Micaiah: Yeah, no one here likes the AP, right? Like right, right, you right, you don't like the AP. I Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: don't think any I don't think we should have rankings until week four, until after week four. Robert, you're die hard. You make the committee rank these team from week one on all the way through. It's dumb that they have to rank them starting in week eight or whatever, and then they just piggyback off the AP poll, I feel. The AP there are a lot of voters on the AP poll. It is well documented. The hilarity of some of these voters having very little knowledge of college football and they just watch their team and they don't watch a whole day's worth and the whole entire slate of a Saturday or an entire weekend starting Thursday all the way on. So it these polls mean nothing, but it gives us something to talk about, right? And and we are ten days, eleven, twelve, something something right in there away from from kickoff, and we are all very excited. What we Yeah Roberto Con Queso: okay, just one one one quick thing. If on your little screen that you're sharing there, if you could scroll down a little bit. Yeah, yep, go ahead. Go ahead, a little bit a little bit. One of you, whoever who's who's controlling it. Okay. Micaiah: I was just about to talk about that actually. Keep going. Keep going. Simeon, can you just make Simeon is Simeon Schlicher: To this? It's it's me. What do you need? Roberto Con Queso: I need you to keep on scrolling, baby. Okay, okay. Micaiah: I make that make the Roberto Con Queso: What go up. Yeah. Micaiah: Yeah, make that window bigger. Simeon Schlicher: Okay, well you know Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: I wanted to compare we twenty twenty five to twenty twenty six. Micaiah: Okay, all right. Roberto Con Queso: Well, I'm just gonna I just want you to look at that Simeon Schlicher: There you go. Roberto Con Queso: and tell me what's wrong with it. Simeon Schlicher: With the FCS coaches poll. Roberto Con Queso: Yes. Micaiah: What do mean what's wrong with it? Roberto Con Queso: It's just very Micaiah: Montana, Montana State. Roberto Con Queso: it's just very hard seeing it without North Dakota State on it. You know? How many years has it been Micaiah: Isn't it right? Isn't that wild? Simeon Schlicher: yeah. Roberto Con Queso: since they they just haven't been on it? You know? Micaiah: Wild. Simeon Schlicher: They should have gotten one vote. We should have North Dakota State with one vote right here. Shout out to Roberto Con Queso: Shout out to Lehigh and Villanova. Micaiah: Yeah. Yeah, for sure. But I mean th this is now Simeon Schlicher: And Virg and Virginia and Western Michigan. Micaiah: the the dominant powers in FCS are now Montana, Montana State and South Dakota State. Simeon Schlicher: State. South Dakota's down here at twelve. Roberto Con Queso: Those are the next three to move up. Micaiah: Yeah, I mean Simeon Schlicher: Yeah. Micaiah: For sure. No, they'll they'll be tagging along. All Simian, go ahead and compare Compare and contrast. I like this exercise. Simeon Schlicher: I mean, I I thought it was helpful for for guys like me, you know, who's missed a thing. One of the things that jumps out to me first, nineteen. We're gonna jump down to nineteen. SMU at nineteen. I didn't, unfortunately, I should have clipped the last the the the votes. I have no idea what they finished. But SMU's all the way at nineteen, they're unranked. End of last year. Okay. JMU nowhere on this list. 12 and 2, playoff team. Okay. Tulane got one vote. I'm looking at the bottom of the I I understand. Micaiah: Well, JMU's not on it because Billy Napier is their head coach, but that's just me throwing shade. Simeon Schlicher: I I don't know why. They got the same guy. You got a guy who's proved himself at a lower level who can recruit to a to a college on the come up. To me, that's one of the best hires this offseason was JMU hiring Billy Napier, but that's just my take. Micaiah: Everyone go ahead and bet the under on the win total for JMU. Simeon Schlicher: okay, wha hold on, Roberto Con Queso: S Simeon Schlicher: hold on. Pause. Roberto Con Queso: U go ahead. Simeon Schlicher: I'm sorry. Pause th Robert Micaiah. What it they hired the same person in Florida. He had a he had a proven track record at what was it? UNL the Raging Cajuns, their Monroe. Micaiah: Louisiana. Louisiana. The raising the raging cajons. Simeon Schlicher: He had a proven track record. He went to he's going to a better school with better resources with the same level. He was like ten a ten and what is it? Ten and two team basically. Micaiah: Simeon, I was just commenting that you're wrong just like ninety percent of the time. Simeon Schlicher: I mean, I just feel like this is gonna be one of the ones that I'm not. Are they gonna go twelve and two again and make the playoffs? No, but they're not gonna be a crap t Micaiah: You wanna make a bet? You wanna make a bet? Simeon Schlicher: are you gonna bet that they're gonna go to the playoffs? Micaiah: no, I'm gonna bet whatever their win total is that they hit their under. Simeon Schlicher: I'm gonna bet I I'm gonna bet that they have they're a one loss team. That's their that to me, if we're playing if we're paying if we're pick Micaiah: well I'll take that bet. Five bucks? Simeon Schlicher: if we're playing ceiling floor, ceiling is a is is a one loss team. I'd let w let hold on. Let's be fair to me. Yes, five bucks. Micaiah: There okay. Simeon Schlicher: Let's look at their schedule. We gotta look at their schedule first before I bull before I blindly Roberto Con Queso: This is divulging into madness. Simeon Schlicher: bet. Okay, Liberty hard game. Wagner win, South Dakota State win. Micaiah: R Robert, you're just sitting up there at the top of the block just like ho hummin. Simeon Schlicher: All Dominion win, Marshall Hard Game, Troy Hard Game. Roberto Con Queso: Hey, I'm just saying the worst college football coach in the SEC is on the screen. Simeon Schlicher: Yes, that is true. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Ha ha Simeon Schlicher: we have to and they're in the sun belt, so we have standings here. Roberto Con Queso: He's not the worst. He's probably like the fourth best. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, yeah, yeah. One I'll I'll stick with Micaiah: We we we got a lot of different tabs open right now. Simeon Schlicher: it for the sake of the bit, I will stick with it. One loss, five bucks. Micaiah: Alright, fine, easy money. Thank you. You'll owe me five bucks by week Roberto Con Queso: Man, it is gonna be really bad week. Micaiah: three. Roberto Con Queso: I'll say if if it's week two and they're and two and be like, Man, man. Micaiah: I I Simeon Schlicher: Alright, so back to to back to ca we were talking about SMU, Robert. Explain to me SMU. Thank you. So they're they're Iowa. Micaiah: Yeah, go ahead. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: They they went nine and nine and four last year. And it polished it Micaiah: So nine and three with a bowl Roberto Con Queso: off Micaiah: gloss. Roberto Con Queso: polish no, nine and no, they won their bowl. Micaiah: Nine and three with a bowl loss. They won bowl. eight and four. Okay. Sorry. Sorry. My bad. Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. So they're eight and four and then they won their bowl. and they did it against a ranked Arizona team, so I think that carries weight as well. So Simeon Schlicher: Sure. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm just wondering we have I hated that Iowa was ranked at the end of last season too. Don't get especially seventeen when the other non ranked teams were Houston and TCU jumping in. But like walk me through to their Iowa. Iowa's not ranked on this list. Micaiah: Did did Arizona lose their quarterback? Cause how does Arizona go from if they didn't, which I think that's the case, I'm not a hundred percent sure. How does Simeon? This is a prime example of how does Arizona be ranked at the end of the season, or at least in that bowl game against SMU, and then only get 32 vote votes? Simeon Schlicher: Am I completely missing them in the twenty twenty five list? Micaiah: Well, no, they were probably ranked before that. Simeon Schlicher: okay. Arizona. Yeah, probably. I mean we can look. I just realized I'm on a computer. Roberto Con Queso: Iowa also went nine and four and had a victory against fourteen Micaiah: It is no off of fear, huh? Roberto Con Queso: Vanderbilt, so Simeon Schlicher: That's right. Roberto Con Queso: they're getting ranked wins in their bowl games at the end of the year. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah. So they went nine and four at the end of the season. Micaiah: Yo, everyone's kind of hating on Vanderbilt. Only eight votes. I know they lie Roberto Con Queso: I I have no confidence in Vanderbilt without Pavia, so Micaiah: No, not in Clark Lee. Roberto Con Queso: I don't think I d I don't I think Clark Lee is a very good coach. However, it is still Vanderbilt. Like it that's To get kids to come to the SEC that like just aren't gonna go to the big schools it's like you know, it good. Micaiah: The they got they got that quarterback though, that five star quarterback, remember? Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, well saying you got a five star quarterback, that doesn't really mean anything anymore anyways. What is that the kid Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, raft. Micaiah: Well, that's true. Roberto Con Queso: who was a five star that got paid by Florida and then was not paid by Florida and then bounced around to eight different schools? Micaiah: Yeah, I mean I I understand that being a five star doesn't mean anything. What I'm saying is like money is e is leveling the playing field. Now whether or not Vanderbilt's gonna invest in putting money on the football field, that's another thing. I just thought that people would have a little more respect. Like I I'm not saying I'm not saying you have to rank them, but more than eight votes I would have given them. Like for how much or maybe people are still mad at Diego Pavia for saying fuck the voters at at the end of the Heisman ceremony, I don't know. Simeon Schlicher: Trying to look at the difference in the top ten. Roberto Con Queso: Well, he did kind of have a case for that. Micaiah: They got less votes than Navy. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, why can't we put Nav just for fun? We can't throw we can't throw navy Micaiah: We we Simeon Schlicher: in the top t in the top twenty-five just for fun. Micaiah: Western Michigan got one vote along with Tulane, Liberty, and Virginia. Virginia was in the ACC title game last year. They got Simeon Schlicher: Finished eleven and three. Micaiah: one vote. Talk about disrespectful. Simeon Schlicher: That is I I Roberto Con Queso: I mean the assumption there has to be that they just lost everything. Micaiah: I but I think they brought in I Roberto Con Queso: I don't know if that's true though. Micaiah: I I I think they brought in a bunch. Simeon Schlicher: All right. Roberto Con Queso: they bought Br Bowen. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, so what's the big deal it's Simeon Schlicher: I'm I'm Micaiah: I Simeon Schlicher: now Makai, now that you mention it, I'm looking at this list and that is probably like Iowa makes sense. I'm looking at the teams who aren't on the list. JMU, Toon Lane, okay. I don't love Toon Lane, but that's fine. I think they lost anyway. J Micaiah: They got Braden Hillman. He won't tackle anyone all season at safety. You remember him last year? All he would do is just hit stick people. He was so Roberto Con Queso: Hmm. Micaiah: frustrating. Sorry, Saman, I cut you off. Go ahead. Simeon Schlicher: you're good. Tennessee isn't on this list. and they are on that list. But no, like Iowa Tulane, of all the teams, North Texas makes sense. TCU, I would have ranked them just for the frickin' first week, so there was an actual ranked matchup in Ireland. but hey, that's just me. I think of all the of all the falloffs, the Virginia with one vote is the most wild. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Did they Did they lose their coach? Simeon Schlicher: Mind you, Duke isn't on this list. Micaiah: No, they're they're Robert, their coach is still there. Simeon Schlicher: Y you take Virginia to eleven and three. You're not leaving. You're not getting fired. Roberto Con Queso: In the coaches poll, Virginia got forty. Micaiah: So at least the coaches have a little more respect than than the A but I mean again, this is just a glaring problem with the AP with the A people. I mean, who cares about the top twenty five? Let's just look at the bottom five, right? I mean, Roberto Con Queso: Right. Micaiah: liber the Christians got one vote even. The Christians, based on alphabetical order, got are higher rank than Virginia. And that's liberty. Simeon Schlicher: My question is who's voting Western Michigan? Who's like these are all alums? That's what that's Micaiah: Who's that one vote that voted for Western Michigan? Roberto Con Queso: Mm-hmm. Simeon Schlicher: like that's that's the thing that shocks me. Tulane and Virginia getting one vote. Micaiah: Vatec got six. So Franklin's not getting a lot of respect either. Simeon Schlicher: And Vatec did nothing last year. Like, w what are we voting on here? Miami Micaiah: And I and I but this is the well, this is the this is the tough thing Simeon Schlicher: got a single first place. Why? Micaiah: The this is the tough thing about Simeon Schlicher: I know why they came in second, but still. Micaiah: ranking teams week one is because you have no idea what any team is gonna be, right? What if Virginia just runs the table in the ACC and at the end of the year they're number five in the country, right? Everyone's gonna be look back and be like, what a bunch of idiots, right? But This is why we shouldn't use the ranking system until after week four. Or until at least we've played some game to have some data on the field. What are we doing now? Simeon Schlicher: I'm just I wanna be able to see your face. So I'm just changing what it is and I wanna look at the cavaliers. Micaiah: Robert, does anything stand out to you in the AP Simeon Schlicher: Schedule. Micaiah: poll? Roberto Con Queso: not so much. I'm just currently looking at each AP voter's Position of who they put in. Micaiah: Hmm. Simeon Schlicher: You can do that. Micaiah: I I on the flip side of my on the thought I just finished is why we shouldn't rank because there's so much turnover. This is also another reason why you could rank Virginia Tech because James James Franklin is a steady hand. James Franklin did get the quarterback in there. The defense is going to be good. Brent Pye is there. He has good defenses, right? So there are reasons Simeon Schlicher: Yeah. Micaiah: for the same argument why you shouldn't rank, like you don't know based on turnover. You don't know, so you can basically go off of coaching and and the things you do know, right? Like I don't mind Iowa being twenty twenty-two. They're gonna be dead last in the FPS in passing, but you know, they're gonna have good punting and and and Simeon Schlicher: Hey, they got a new offensive coordinator. Micaiah: kicking and and special teams in defense. Who's this? Virginia Simeon Schlicher: So Micaiah: who? Simeon Schlicher: this is Virginia, which is I'm just looking at it. They both obviously it's the rivalry week so they end Micaiah: Yo, is that a week zero game, the 29th NC State? That's awesome. Love that. Simeon Schlicher: Yes. Yes it is. they have an easy they get I mean they have at they have SMU. maybe Syracuse or Florida State does something, I doubt it though. And then they have if North Carolina is good, which there probably won't be, and obviously Duke. So they have SMU, Duke, and Virginia Tech. With a question mark at Virginia V at West Virginia, right? And a and a question mark at NC State. Micaiah: Virginia and West Virginia will merge to form one large Virginia, to quote iCarly. All right. We are going to move on away from the AP Simeon Schlicher: Moving on. Micaiah: top 25, and we are going to go to the state of Ohio and just talk about something that I think is utterly ridiculous, and not just because Ohio State's doing it. I think it's utterly ridiculous if any school, even my school, were to do this, I would call them out. they are moving, and I had to fact check this because I saw it on Facebook and I don't believe much I see on Facebook. So I had to fact check it. It is real. This is from CBS Sports. Ohio State moves senior day to week one to eliminate distractions ahead of the Michigan game. What? Simeon Schlicher: H I no, we need to move senior day. Micaiah: What? Are we really concerned that senior days is the reason why you've lost three straight home games to Michigan? Is that the real reason? Or am I missing something? Roberto Con Queso: I don't know, man. I don't get it. It just doesn't make Simeon Schlicher: My question is why I get Roberto Con Queso: sense. Simeon Schlicher: it's such a spectacle to move senior day, right? You want the seniors to have a special time. My question is why week one? Micaiah: 'Cause they know they can win that week. Simeon Schlicher: They play Northwestern. They're that's their second Roberto Con Queso: Well Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: to last home game. Move it to the second to last home game. Micaiah: That's true. That that's a fair point. I didn't even think about that. I didn't even look at their Roberto Con Queso: Well, and it's it's Micaiah: schedule. Roberto Con Queso: I mean, if you're gonna move it, you move it. It's ki like it's kinda whatever. I don't know. I'm always used to your last home game being like your senior send off and everything like that. But yeah. I don't why you wouldn't just make it Northwestern? I mean, you weren't gonna make it Oregon, 'cause if you're not gonna make it Michigan, you're not gonna make it Oregon. I mean they even could have did Maryland in the middle of October if they wanted to, but Micaiah: I that might be homecoming though, because I you got homecoming somewhere in there. But still, I mean Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, but that's normally in October, isn't it? Micaiah: the the the point is still valid, right? So Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: what I would like to do is I'm not gonna stay in here and I I've already this is dumb. Okay. A hundred percent dumb. Ohio State fans, do you like this? Do you honestly like a rational be rational for three seconds? And I know that you that's hard for you because you think you're the greatest college in the world. Do you really in like the fact that Ryan Day moved senior day to week one? Okay? Let us know in the c let us know in the comments. Simeon Schlicher: Let us know in the comments. Also, half a G to go see Texas and Ohio State play in Austin. Micaiah: That's cheap. Roberto Con Queso: Tell you what though I I would do it. If I had if I had good. Micaiah: Hey, but you do You do know what though? Roberto Con Queso: Let me hear it. Micaiah: It's hot, so Bow's gonna smell bad. Roberto Con Queso: Yo, listen, that is a genuine concern. Micaiah: Ha ha ha. Roberto Con Queso: If you are behind Simeon Schlicher: I don't think Roberto Con Queso: dude, have you gone to a fair? Micaiah: Yeah, yes. Roberto Con Queso: You go to a fair and even when it's not hot out, it still stinks. Micaiah: Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: The game it's a night game. You're not gonna be Micaiah: He he he he he looks pretty clean though. Roberto Con Queso: a night game in Texas. Okay, so instead of a hundred and seven it's ninety. Simeon Schlicher: No, I'm just saying I'm not gonna be smelling things if I'm in the front row and I'm going and I'm spending Micaiah: Listen. Simeon Schlicher: more than a thousand dollars. Roberto Con Queso: Stale beer. Stale beer and cow. I could not do it for Simeon Schlicher: I I will be inebriated. I won't be smelling things 'cause I would be inebriated. Roberto Con Queso: No. Micaiah: Yeah. Robert, the the the reason why Robert works for this podcast is he is so passionate about the most random things and one of them are heat. Simeon Schlicher: Is Bivo smelling bad? Roberto Con Queso: Dude, I'm a fat guy. He is not good. Micaiah: But but it he however, whenever you see him on TV, he doesn't look dirty. He doesn't look like the Fair Cows. That's what I'm trying to say. Like Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, they definitely give Roberto Con Queso: I I I am sure they Simeon Schlicher: him a wash. They're giving him a scrub. Roberto Con Queso: probably take care of it and I'm sure they take the extra amount to like kind of maybe catch the poop or something. Or like they Micaiah: Right, sure, yeah, yeah, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: just get rid of it really fast. Because if they if they wouldn't Micaiah: But still that's gotta s where wherever that's going, that's gotta smell bad. Roberto Con Queso: just bacon in that heat ho Simeon Schlicher: Mm. Micaiah: Yeah, imagine imagine a Simeon Schlicher: Yummy. Micaiah: noon kickoff in Austin in like the fourth week of September. It's just a Roberto Con Queso: No. Micaiah: hundred and two degrees outside. Roberto Con Queso: No. If Te if it wasn't always hot in Texas, and if it wasn't always hot in Texas, even in like November, I would I would love to go to Austin to see a football game, but I know I would die in that heat. That Micaiah: yeah. Yeah, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: is why I could never go down to an Alabama game because I would be stuck to the seat because of the swamp. Micaiah: So it was we went first weekend of November last year for the LSU game. It was they they said it was actually kind of cooler for that time of year. At s thankfully it was a night game. Start of the game, it was eighty three degrees. I was Roberto Con Queso: Dude. Micaiah: kind of sweating. And by the end of the game, it was sixty five. So it was nice. It cooled off quite a bit, but and it was nice. But right, at the end, right. Roberto Con Queso: Alright, for at the end. Like, November in Pennsylvania is great. It's a brisk it it's a brisk morning. Micaiah: yeah. Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: Beginning of November. Beginning of November. Roberto Con Queso: It warms up to like maybe lower 70s, mid seventies, and it is generally sunny. Little breeze going on. Feels like football weather. I don't want to be just sweating my balls off in November. Like Micaiah: It it was Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: it the culture shock for a Pennsylvania, right? Going down to a game in Alabama, they had if you go to a Penn State game, there's not free water stations around the stadium. There are multiple, and I am talking huge, huge, like 500 gallon like Gatorade like coolers. Just being water being pumped at free water for everybody. And they tell you bring in a clear water bottle. And cause they're just giving away free water. Like they that's how hot it is down there. And that was just a culture shock to me. I was just like, dude, that's amazing. But that's how hot Roberto Con Queso: Get out of here. Yeah. Micaiah: it is. Roberto Con Queso: All all they do up here is give out free Coke in the parking lot. Back at it, baby. Let's go. Micaiah: Back back at it again. All right. so we are gonna move on from that and we are going to take a trip south to Baton Rouge. And no, we are not going to talk about Lane Kiffen for one podcast. Finally, thank the Lord, all the fans are saying. They're not gonna hate Roberto Con Queso: No. I already did it earlier. Micaiah: they're not gonna hate on Lane Kiffen, at least more for five seconds. Who we are maybe gonna hate on. Or at least touch on is Jaden Daniels' representatives sent a cease and desist letter revoking Simeon Schlicher: His mammy. Micaiah: the school's right to use his name, image, and likeness. The dispute erupted after LSU allowed sophomore quarterback, corn cornerback, DJ Pickett to wear Daniels number five jersey. Which Daniels won the 2023 Heisman Trophy in. And his family and him felt like that was deeply disrespectful. couple things. Your jersey's not allowed to be retired at LSU until after five years removed from competition. Joe Burroughs isn't even retired yet. And Joe Burrow was statistically and accomplished on the field in terms of a national championship, way better. And Jaden Daniels. Both won the Heisman, but that's just about where the comparison stopped. Another thing is any jersey that goes into the Hall of Fame or is retired after 2007, you could still wear getting some exception or something. The no that is why the number seven jersey could still be worn, because the number seven jerseys technically retired, but a whole bunch of like players wear them. Or or have worn them over the years, I I should say. So, whose side are we on in this? LSU or Jaden Daniels? The Simeon Schlicher: see you. Micaiah: memes are hilarious, by the way. Okay. Roberto Con Queso: LSU. It's it's an easy one. There's actually only five Micaiah: I just want to make sure. Roberto Con Queso: numbers that are retired at L S U. Simeon Schlicher: Apparently d' the one thing it's a wink and a nod, gentleman's agreement that you don't wear nineteen. Or nine, whatever he what whatever he wore at whatever Micaiah: Yeah, he he was pro p someone asked Joe Burrow and Joe Burrow said, They told me no one would ever wear it again. I mean he wasn't really concerned, but they told me no one would ever wear it again, but we'll we'll see, right? Roberto Con Queso: There's only one number for LSU football that can never be worn, and that is number twenty. That was Billy Cannon. Simeon Schlicher: I'm trying to find some of the things. I know the Mets 'cause not everybody's plugged in as as we are. I know the Mets trolled Roberto Con Queso: He was a halfback and tight end. Simeon Schlicher: nice. I know the Mets trolled by saying we stopped at four when they beat the Nationals on the fifteenth, so five three days ago. We stopped at four and to respect Jalen Daniels. Jaden Daniels, sorry. Micaiah: the 2007 bylaw for any jersey retired after January 1st, 2007, the honor applies to the jersey recognition and not the numerical number itself. So that's why, like the like Billy Cannon, as you said, number 20, Robert, but number seven was retired after that. But that is like a historic, like secondary number. at LSU. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: So that's why like Patrick Peterson, I think Tyron Matthew wore that, like a lot Roberto Con Queso: For Matt. Micaiah: yeah, Fourn Leonard Fournette wore that. That is like if you're number seven at LSU, you are the guy. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, it's four, twenty one, thirty seven and seven are the honored ones that you can still Well and Michigan Micaiah: Okay. It sh Roberto Con Queso: did the does the same thing. Micaiah: Well n Brady well Roberto Con Queso: Kind of. Because they did it with Micaiah: They did it with Howard's number and when that ninety seven. Yeah. It's not Tom Roberto Con Queso: Ho Tom Harmon? Tom Harmon? Micaiah: Harmon, that's the actor, but it's his like great grandfather or something. Roberto Con Queso: His his yeah, his yeah, whatever. Micaiah: Right. but they no now numbers at Michigan that are retired are actually retired again. So yeah, this is ridiculous. I I don't Jaden Daniels, Simon, you think this is his mom? Simeon Schlicher: I mean that's the joke. I would I wouldn't disagree with that. I mean, it's pretty well n well known that his mom guy gets into everything. And it's his agent. But like Roberto Con Queso: Well that's his agent, isn't it? Yeah, so Micaiah: Yes, you are correct, Robert. Roberto Con Queso: so yeah, then that's it's directly one in one. Simeon Schlicher: Do you remember him like he was flirting with a girl like Roberto Con Queso: She shot that down. Simeon Schlicher: casually and then they cut back and he's like not like not allowed to flirt with that girl anymore? I mean like Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: this is this is Hamilton, Josh Hamilton li level of helicopter parenting. Micaiah: Josh Hamilton, the baseball player? Simeon Schlicher: Apparently his parents apparently his parents followed him around and that's why he had a drug problem. Micaiah: okay. That do that Roberto Con Queso: not because he was taking drugs. Simeon Schlicher: I mean, you know how it is. Micaiah: Did he go to Penn State? Simeon Schlicher: He didn't go to college at all. That's the issue. Gerald Ford's numbers retired at Michigan. Forty eight. Micaiah: Yes. Captain. all right. So we'll leave it at that. Alright, so we are going to do we are going to pick an all fourth in one team. And how we are going to do it this year is ChatGPT. And with a wheel spinner. So those of you that are not watching, Roberto Con Queso: No. Micaiah: sorry about it. You'll just have to listen. What I have done is I have Put in a wheel or Hadchat GPT put in a wheel all the top twenty five teams. Okay. And Simeon Schlicher: This is hot deck for you, bro. Micaiah: And this is how we're doing it. So, Robert, we'll need a little help on your end as well. But what we're gonna do is Roberto Con Queso: no. Micaiah: I'm gonna spin the wheel for a position. It will give us a team, and then we will pick if it's quarterback, say it lands on Ohio State, Julian Sand, right? And so on and so forth. Simeon, you're gonna write the names down. Robert, you're gonna tell us because after quarterback and when we get into running backs and other positions, I we don't know as well, we'll need that. Roberto Con Queso: So before and I know this is probably something I should have talked about before we actually started the podcast. I have the fantasy points for each college football player. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: So all I need need is a team in a position and I could probably find Micaiah: Okay, great. Well, let's get things started. Do we want to start with cordback? What do we want to start with, everybody? Simeon Schlicher: I see that a running back if we're doing if we're doing fantasy sty I thought we were gonna gonna pick like last year, but yeah, let's just do I would I mean running back's gonna get you more but Micaiah: Okay. let's start with running back. Here we go. Running back Texas. Roberto Con Queso: I This is why We're good at this. Micaiah: This is why we're the worst of podcasts. By the way, we will remove Texas then so we can't Roberto Con Queso: I can't I can't go by team? Simeon Schlicher: So we can't pick Archmanning. Is that what you're saying? Micaiah: Correct. We won't be able to pick more Arch Manning. But who's the running back for Texas? Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, okay, I'll just do that part later. we're just gonna go into here and we're gonna find Texas. Simeon Schlicher: Deep in the heart of Texas They're in the Southeastern Conference, Robert. Roberto Con Queso: Yep, found him. Simeon Schlicher: Can you name their stadium, Makaiah? Micaiah: Roy No, I think that's the feel isn't it just no I can't. Roberto Con Queso: okay. Here's how we're doing this. Let's see, they got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight running backs on the roster. Micaiah: Well pick number one. Who's number one? Roberto Con Queso: Dog. Simeon Schlicher: They have a depth chart. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, well I yeah, I have to pull up the depth chart to do number one because right now number one doesn't have a picture. Micaiah: Is it Ralique Relique Brown? Simeon, what's their stadium name? Roberto Con Queso: I th I w I wanna say yeah, because I think he played it at at Arizona State and then transferred. Simeon Schlicher: it's DRK DRK Durell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. I thought it was Texas Memorial Stadium. I don't know who. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: twenty twenty six Texas depth chart. Simeon Schlicher: This formerly War Memorial Stadium. Roberto Con Queso: okay, we can either do Hollywood Smothers or Relique Brown. Micaiah: Do relie relic Brown. Okay. We are removing yep. Roberto Con Queso: Okay, and then Simeon's writing these down, right? Micaiah: So we are removing Texas. Let's and we are Simeon Schlicher: the transfer. Number zero. Micaiah: and we are spinning for quarterback. Can't be Texas. Simeon Schlicher: Proud of you, bro. Roberto Con Queso: This is a lot easier now. Micaiah: Washington's quarterback, Damian Williams. Slight, but v that's that sucks. Simeon Schlicher: That sucks. Micaiah: Hey, he was explosive at times last year. Simeon Schlicher: How do you spell Damien? Roberto Con Queso: It's Damon D E O N D. Micaiah: Bro. it's Damon. Roberto Con Queso: I also could be wrong, could be Damon. I don't know. Micaiah: Could be. All right, we want a wide receiver. Wide receiver Uno. Simeon Schlicher: Sound. Well Damon Williams? Roberto Con Queso: It's table. Micaiah: Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: I listen, I swear. Micaiah: All right. Here we go. Who's our L we're gonna need a some LSU wide receiver options, Robert? Simeon Schlicher: Nice. Roberto Con Queso: Okay. LSU. Micaiah: Tiger Stadium to symbian to name their stadium. Thanks, Simeon Schlicher: Nice, Makaiah, way to be Micaiah: thanks. Roberto Con Queso: Alright, so I'm just gonna give you the starters for the X to Z and the slot. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: We got J C Brown, Jackson Harris, and Winston Watkins Junior. Simeon Schlicher: Now we're just taking wide receiver one. Micaiah: Yeah, it's just one wide receiver. Roberto Con Queso: I w I would I would say one of those three. Micaiah: Okay, so give me Win Winston Watkins, I guess. I don't know. Simeon Schlicher: You just like the name. Micaiah: I do like the name. That's exactly it's a very Marvel name. I love it. Simeon Schlicher: we sh I should be putting these schools. Micaiah: All right. O line. So this is gonna be the O-line for the entire team. Not a specific O-line. Iowa's O-line. Okay. Alright. Simeon Schlicher: That's a great pick. There we go. Roberto Con Queso: Let's go. Woo! Micaiah: Let's go, everybody. Okay, alright. Roberto Con Queso: The Joe Moore Award winners, baby. Micaiah: All right, defense. So again, this is just the team defense. Roberto Con Queso: Big money, big money, big money, big money. Micaiah: that's Iowa. Hold on. That was Iowa again. Can't be Iowa. Simeon Schlicher: You forgot to remove them. Micaiah: I it reset it. it's Georgia. We got Georgia for defense. Simeon Schlicher: That's a great pick. Roberto Con Queso: We'll take it. We'll take it. Micaiah: Unless if the unless if they get in their cars. Unless if they get in their cars. Okay. Roberto Con Queso: All gas, no brakes. Micaiah: All gas, no brakes. All right. Tight end. Here we go. Simeon Schlicher: That we really wanted Iowa for. Micaiah: I can't do Washington. Roberto Con Queso: Very tip, Washington. Micaiah: Sorry. It added it back. Notre Dame's tight end. They always got good tight ends. Who who Simeon Schlicher: We'll we'll allow it. Micaiah: Who's Notre Dame's tight end, Bob? Roberto Con Queso: Let's get to the N. Tight end Cooper Flanagan. Micaiah: Cooper Flanagan from Notre Dame, all right. Simeon Schlicher: Definite probably from South Philly, right? Roberto Con Queso: His the backup tight end is actually James Flanagan, spelled differently. Simeon Schlicher: Well okay, how does he spell his how does Flanagan spell his name? His last name? Roberto Con Queso: F F L A N A G A N Micaiah: Spelling on the podcast. Yay. Simeon Schlicher: Well listen, I gotta Roberto Con Queso: And then Simeon Schlicher: get it right. Roberto Con Queso: and the other flanagan is F L A N I G A N. Simeon Schlicher: an eye in there. Flynn Egan. Micaiah: Who is our second running back from Louisville? Robert. Roberto Con Queso: JKL Simeon Schlicher: He has a shiny helmet. We know that much. Roberto Con Queso: Louisville Cardinals Isaac Brown Micaiah: Isaac Brown. Roberto Con Queso: This team is going to be interesting. No, our team. Micaiah: Louisville? Yes, they are. RT. I was like, All right. Wide receiver two will be a wide receiver from USC. Simeon Schlicher: That's a good that's a good one. We'll take it. Roberto Con Queso: We have Tannook Hines, Zicarius Williams, and Tyrell Anderson. Micaiah: Alright, which name do we like the back? Zanook Heinz. Is that the name we like the best? Because that's how we're picking. Didn't she just say Zanook Heinz? Tannook Heinz. Roberto Con Queso: What name did you just say? Tannook. Tannock. T A N O O K Micaiah: I like that one. Watch him not even play any snaps this year. Simeon Schlicher: He's a sophomore from Roberto Con Queso: He's from Texas. Simeon Schlicher: Houston. Micaiah: All right, wide rece our third wide receiver, Texas Tech. Did they pay any money? We know they tried to Roberto Con Queso: Texas Texas Micaiah: pay bet Brandon Soresby and he bet a whole bunch. Roberto Con Queso: receiver. Micah Hudson, Kenny Johnson, and Koy Eakin. Aiken. Micaiah: send me in your pick. Simeon Schlicher: Who's the X receiver listed there? Roberto Con Queso: the X is Micah Hud Hudson. Simeon Schlicher: Okay. Micah Hudson it is. Micaiah: Okay, tight end numero dose. Who's the tight end for Indiana? And do they throw to him at all? Roberto Con Queso: It would be Brock Shot, S C H O T T. He is a transfer red shirt freshman. Micaiah: What a name. Roberto Con Queso: He had two catches for twenty four yards last year. Simeon Schlicher: Where was Micah Hudson from? What team? The other wide receiver last wide receiver? Thank Micaiah: Taxis stack. Simeon Schlicher: you. Roberto Con Queso: Next step. Micaiah: All right. Kicker. Who is going to be our kicker this year? Simeon Schlicher: Probably some semi Australian guy. TCU? Micaiah: Missouri's kicker. Simeon Schlicher: Nazoo Roberto Con Queso: Missouri There we go, special teams. we want Place Kicker, correct? Not kick off. Okay. Micaiah: That is correct. Simeon Schlicher: Yes. Roberto Con Queso: So Place Kicker, we are going with Blake Craig. Micaiah: Craig. Simeon Schlicher: Could this guy have a whiter Roberto Con Queso: Out of Kansas City, Missouri. Simeon Schlicher: Could this guy have a wider name? Like Micaiah: All right. All right. Punter. Houston who is Houston's punter. Roberto Con Queso: Houston. They're punter Holder, long snapper, kickoff, plays kicker. Micaiah: They're not planning on punting the Roberto Con Queso: I'm assuming I'm assum Micaiah: ball. Roberto Con Queso: I'm assuming PT is punter, so I'm gonna go Liam Doherty. Micaiah: Dirty. Okay. Roberto Con Queso: He's from Australia. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, we he he where Micaiah: Yeah, that that checks out. A hundred percent. Simeon Schlicher: where is what schools he play for? Houston. Micaiah: Houston. Roberto Con Queso: Houston. Simeon Schlicher: Houston. Micaiah: All right. And finally the stadium slash stadium atmosphere. Simeon Schlicher: no, we c all the good ones are gone. Micaiah: Yeah that landed on Washington, so I removed them. We already did Texas Tech. We could be here for Roberto Con Queso: we should also pick a coach. Micaiah: That's true. Tennessee, Knoxville, Nealan, Nealand Simeon Schlicher: okay. Thanks a good Roberto Con Queso: Mayland Stadium, let's go. Micaiah: Stadium. Let's go. All right. you wanna you wanna coach? Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, it's gonna coach. Micaiah: Okay. All right, here we go. I just reset it to QB because it put all the teams back in. Nope, can't do Georgia. We might be here for a while. Dan Lanning. Roberto Con Queso: Stand landing. Micaiah: Dan Lanning for coach. Okay, so that is the all fourth and one team, everybody. we got Damon Williams, Relique Brown, Isaac Brown, Winston Watkins, Tanuk Hines, Micah Hudson, the Iowa offensive line, the Georgia defense, Cooper Flanagan, not to be confused with the other Flanagan on the roster spelled differently. Brock shime, that's Brooke's shot. Brock is Simeon Schlicher: my bad. Micaiah: B-O-C-K. No, Roberto Con Queso: What though, did I look at it wrong? Simeon Schlicher: Who Micaiah: Simeon spelled it B-R-C. Simeon Schlicher: I said Brooke, I forgot to see. and Micaiah: okay. Roberto Con Queso: I was like, Man, I could have swore it was brun. Simeon Schlicher: I didn't even when we get to the punter, just l it's Doherty. I don't know how you spell that last name. Micaiah: Okay. The the kickers Blake Blake Craig, the punters, Liam Doherty, the we got Knoxville or Nealand Stadium, and our coach, again, Simeon, rough spelling there. Rough. It's A, not you, bud. Simeon Schlicher: whatever. Micaiah: That's couch. Roberto Con Queso: Well done. Micaiah: That's almost couch. Simeon Schlicher: Where it is Micaiah: Dan Dan Lanning. Simeon Schlicher: couch. That is how you spell couch, Mickaya. I was quickly adding it. That's how you spell Doherty? There's way too many letters. How do you think you spell d doherty? Micaiah: you're asking the wrong guy. You did a lot Roberto Con Queso: D O U G H E R T Y Micaiah: better job than Mikaiah would have done on that. I'm just letting you know. Simeon Schlicher: I just put it in. Hold on. Hold on. Micaiah: That's what she said. Simeon Schlicher: She? Yeah, I know. Dug or Dugger T Pro Micaiah: That's how you spell Dory. I would I would say that would be closer to Daughtry or even Daugh Daughter Tree. Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: probably. Micaiah: Yeah, probably. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: The podcast goes spelling. Micaiah: If hey, we already have a title. You already told us what the title had to be. Roberto Con Queso: Dude, what a I mean, ten out of ten title. Micaiah: Ten a Absolutely. Maybe Robert should just get the title privileges and he just gets the title all the pot. Roberto Con Queso: No, this this one was just a layup and I just had to jump on that, you know. Micaiah: You don't jump, don't jump, you'll tear something. Roberto Con Queso: It's Simeon Schlicher: You will. Roberto Con Queso: more like a up on the tippy toes, back down, below an Achilles. Micaiah: Yeah. All right. let's finish this podcast with some super relatives. Simeon Schlicher: Superlatives. Micaiah: because next week we are guys, we're previewing games next week. How great is Roberto Con Queso: Woo! Micaiah: that? How great is Simeon Schlicher: They're they're okay. Micaiah: that? We are back. We are back, ladies and gentlemen. That was the whitest thing I've ever done. All right. Roberto Con Queso: You like that? Micaiah: you like that? Simeon Schlicher: Trying to find that. Micaiah: All right. Super relatives, let's start who's gonna Thank you, who's gonna have the best defense? Someone say some college. Simeon Schlicher: Probably Georgia. Roberto Con Queso: I'm gonna go Bama. Micaiah: Okay. G E O R G I A and I still spell it wrong. Robert, you got Bama. I'm gonna go Texas. Simeon Schlicher: Wow, someone put someone put best offense Alabama as well. Micaiah: that was me. I did that. Simeon Schlicher: Wow. You guys are real real creative there. Micaiah: All right, shut up. Send me in best coordinator. Simeon Schlicher: Do you know how badly that I wanna pick Arthur Smith at Ohio State just Micaiah: my gosh. Simeon Schlicher: for the trolls? Guys, Micaiah: Do it. Simeon Schlicher: get ready for them to not use Jeremiah Smith at all. He's gonna be running wide open, play designed for some random white kid from Topeka to get Roberto Con Queso: So how so then how many weeks do you give it until Ryan Day's back at Call and Plays? Micaiah: Six. Simeon Schlicher: Not even. Micaiah: I they're gonna go they're gonna walk into Austin and struggle, right? Just because Texas has a good defense, in all seriousness. And they're gonna get to like week four. Murmurs are gonna start then six. Jeremiah Smith is gonna have some shit game middle Simeon Schlicher: Have to Micaiah: of the season, and that's when Ryan Day takes over play calling. Easy. Easy. Simeon, are you going with Arthur Smith? Simeon Schlicher: No, I'm not. what's the Oregon coach, then Philadelphia, then San Francisco, then Ohio State coordinator got hired in Oakland. Micaiah: Chip Kelly. Simeon Schlicher: Thank you. Chip Kelly. Where's he at right now? Micaiah: N Northwestern. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, give me Chip Kelly. Roberto Con Queso: You just followed his whole hiring. He went here, then he went here, then he went here. Can't remember his name but knows exactly where he went to the bathroom last Tuesday. Micaiah: Yeah, dude, that was actually pretty impressive for Simeon. Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: I forgot UCLA. Micaiah: R Robert, coordinator. Roberto Con Queso: Ooh, the best coordinator did Jim Knowles go anywhere? Micaiah: he is i at Tennessee now. Roberto Con Queso: Okay. Tennessee's defense is gonna be pretty stellar this year. So we're gonna Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: go chim knolls. Micaiah: Alright. I am going I spell Knolls wrong, but that's fine. I am going to go with Mike Shanahan. Not to be confused with The r the real Mike Shanahan, the offensive coordinator at Indiana. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's his name. Simeon Schlicher: It yes. Where is it? Yes. Offense coordinator and wide receivers. Yeah. Micaiah: Yes. Okay. Great. best unis this year. Roberto Con Queso: So Micaiah: Well yeah, you navy or n you can't pick both. Simeon Schlicher: Or army. Micaiah: You gotta pick woo. Roberto Con Queso: It's always it's always gonna be navy. Micaiah: Alright, alright. Alright. Didn't need the tone. Simeon? Simeon Schlicher: give me Roberto Con Queso: Do have to say two lanes looks pretty good too. That's the city. Simeon Schlicher: Get Yeah, I was gonna be I'm gonna go Louisville. Micaiah: Yeah. Okay. Simeon Schlicher: Talking to me or Robert? Micaiah: You Roberto Con Queso: You Simeon Schlicher: What's wrong with Louisville? Micaiah: Nothing's wrong with Louisville, it's just everything's wrong with Louisville as best uniforms for the upcoming season. Simeon Schlicher: W walk me through you want me to go western Kentucky? The Hilltoppers? With Grimace's cousin? They had some pretty tight ones. That the year that they had the positions on the helmet with the with the hilltopper Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, I like that. It was creative and it was different. Simeon Schlicher: correct. And it was fun. Roberto Con Queso: Still isn't the best, but it was creative. Simeon Schlicher: It it w it was it is kind of annoying. Robert has brought up a point, and I hate that he's right. It's we play this game every year, and then we get to November and it's always army and navy, with the exception that Air Force throws a banger in there w Micaiah: Well, that's who I'm going with. I'm going with Air Force. Simeon Schlicher: once in a while. My favorite was the the shark helmet ones, I forget what those were called, but when they put the they had the shark helmet like the old World War II decals, Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: Yeah. Simeon Schlicher: those ones were pretty sick. Roberto Con Queso: I mean, especially Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: with this year being two fifty, like these jerseys this year are gonna be incredible. Micaiah: A quick quick pause on mostly college football. how come we're not decorating planes anymore? That's what I want to know. Simeon Schlicher: They are. Micaiah: Are they? Simeon Schlicher: Yeah, I'll pull some up, I got you. Micaiah: All right, thanks, man. biggest impact player, not quarterback. Roberto Con Queso: Mm. Micaiah: I feel like this one's kinda easy too. Roberto Con Queso: I I mean I would obviously you wanna go Jeremiah Smith. That's kinda like the layup. Micaiah: Right. Roberto Con Queso: But I think I'm actually gonna go Keywan Lacey. Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: The other layup. See, that was the I was like, let let Micaiah: Tippy toes. Roberto Con Queso: me use my right hand for Jeremiah Smith, but then quickly switch it to my left hand for the other layup, which is Keon Lacey. Micaiah: I I no, I'm just thinking the layup on the tippy toes. You didn't even jump layup on the tippy toes and you tore your Achilles. What you said Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: earlier. Sorry, I'm still laughing about that. okay, I will take Jeremiah Smith. I spelled his name way wrong, but that's fine. We all know. Simeon, do you got a do you got a biggest impact player non-quarterback? Simeon Schlicher: Biggest impact player. Well, Caleb Downs finally retired. who's the k who's the wide receiver? Micaiah: N nope, went to the NFL. Simeon Schlicher: I know sorry, not retired. Graduated. who's the kid down in Alabama? The wide receiver. O'Ryan Williams. Micaiah: Ryan Williams. Roberto Con Queso: right. Don't you waste that pick. Simeon Schlicher: I am. He's gotta have a comeback here at some point. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, when he goes to the NFL. Micaiah: It will be the if he lights it up this year, Robert is gonna be flabbergasted. He will Robert will be most shocked per person. Roberto Con Queso: Well he'll be he'll be twenty. So they'll just be like, Ryan Williams decided he's gonna play football this year and he's not eighteen anymore. Micaiah: most improved player, Robert. Roberto Con Queso: Arch Manning. Micaiah: Yeah, that one kinda ready to go there. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, 'cause he was god awful for like eight weeks out of the year. Micaiah: However, I believe that no, Simeon put Arch Manning as as the most overhyped player last year. or or this year. most improved. I am going to go with Roberto Con Queso: So there's one answer that could Micaiah: Gunner I'm actually gonna go with Gunnar Stockton, just to be a little different. What Simeon? Most improved? Simeon Schlicher: Sorry, I'm still trying to find these plain most improved arch man Gunnar Stockton, I like that. give me Mendoza's brother. Micaiah: Alberto Mendoza. Simeon Schlicher: Mendoza a Ja Tech. Micaiah: Robert, you said there's one right answer. Roberto Con Queso: No, I said I w not that there's one right answer, but there's one answer Simeon Schlicher: Bryce Underwood. Roberto Con Queso: where it's yeah, it's kinda like that could probably be a if he throws Micaiah: Well I I I yes. Roberto Con Queso: the ball for one game he throws for four hundred, that's the most improvement that anyone would ever see. Micaiah: Yeah. If he throws for three thousand yards, yeah, you're right. I also but I put him as most overhyped player, so I can't put him in two categories. I'm just I I just can't do that. biggest Roberto Con Queso: I mean he would have been most overhapped for last year, but not this year. Micaiah: I yeah, I I don't know. I I'm a I'm expect new coordinator. I'm expecting big Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: things from him. I we've both seen this. Overhyped five star down first year. You think he's gonna make a big jump and he just doesn't. biggest disappointment on the year. Roberto Con Queso: I'm going to say LSU whole. Micaiah: Interesting. Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Not like putting it on Kiffin, but I'm just saying as the just as a as a whole, the team, just because I feel like there's a ton of hype behind it because of Kiffen and They're are kind of like behind the sticks when it comes to that. Micaiah: Okay. Simeon. Biggest disappointment. Ohio State. Simeon Schlicher: gimme OSU and I say that yeah, and I say that as to be fair, Oklahoma State is fifty fifty. I don't believe in Arthur Smith, and I think that was a really bad hire. I don't know how many times he's had to prove himself that he's not a good coordinator or coach. I think that was a bad hire. So, you know, they're not gonna look hot and they should. They're a good team. Micaiah: I'm gonna go with Dan Lanning and Oregon. And I still think they'll Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, that's a good one. Micaiah: be good this year, but I just think losing two coordinators, you promoted from within, and I get all that, and we were roasted on the TikTok page that how how dare I, but I I don't know. You got a third you got Dante Moore there, and I actually picked him to win the Heisman. So I I don't know. Just Something someone at the top is just gonna have a ri a good just a really mediocre season and I I think it's Oregon. I I I don't have any reasoning for it besides that it's Oregon and sometimes you just have mediocre seasons. high scoring game of in the top twenty five this season. So preseason top twenty five, I don't know, pick or just high scores scoring game this season, I guess. Roberto Con Queso: Whoever give me a North Texas Somebody. North Texas versus somebody. Micaiah: North Texas versus somebody. Awesome. Simeon Schlicher: Top twenty five as in Micaiah: Just just pick Roberto Con Queso: Anyone. Micaiah: two teams that are playing this year and give me your high scoring game. Simeon Schlicher: all right, we're gonna jump over to Stillwater because that is the right answer. Micaiah: Okay, so Roberto Con Queso: That's the right answer. Simeon Schlicher: Robert, your right answers have been right this whole time. Micaiah: North Texas versus anybody. Thanks, Robert. Roberto Con Queso: Find an opponent. Hold on. Micaiah: Ha ha. Simeon Schlicher: Give me I hate this with a burning passion. No, only because the oldest loses by seven. Give me Oklahoma State UCF. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: North Texas U T S A. Micaiah: North Texas UTSA. Simeon, does Oklahoma Simeon Schlicher: Great. That's a good pick. That's a good pick. Micaiah: State and UCF play each other this year? Did you make sure of that? Okay, great. I'm just gonna. Simeon Schlicher: Yeah. Yeah, that's what I was doing. They play on October tenth. Micaiah: the high scoring game of the year is gonna come in week eight. Okay. And why? Because that's the week I clicked on. and we're just going to scroll to Iowa and Minnesota. I'm just kidding. Everyone, I'm legitimately kidding. however, I do think the highest scoring game is going to be LSU Auburn. Don't ask me to back that up with stacks because I don't have any. lowest scoring game Roberto Con Queso: Is L L S U plays A and right? Micaiah: Yeah, they should. I thought they were rivals. Roberto Con Queso: I mean that that has some history to be big. Micaiah: they do in the middle of s or w like week four, it looks like. okay. The lowest scoring game of the season is going to be win. Roberto Con Queso: Army Navy. Gonna snow. Micaiah: Watch it be like eighty five degrees that day. That'd be Roberto Con Queso: I would be shocked the the end of December in the northeast. Simeon Schlicher: I found one there were some other ones, but these Micaiah: That's not nearly as creative as they used to be though. Simeon Schlicher: These were Roberto Con Queso: We got radar dog. Can't put too much on there. Simeon Schlicher: striky eagles coming home. These are this is reef recently. So these are all the bombs that they dropped. Micaiah: That's a lot of bombs. This is why we're mostly college football. my Simeon Schlicher: That's crack cracking. Yeah, these guys were biz This is Micaiah: lowest scoring game is going to come November 4th. That's a Wednesday. Ball State and UMass. Simeon Schlicher: That's a horrible pick, Micaiah. Micaiah: What do you that's a horrible pick? UMass is horrible. Simeon Schlicher: So there's a part of me that wants to take Oklahoma State again at Oregon. Micaiah: in for the lowest scoring game. Roberto Con Queso: For the lowest. Simeon Schlicher: I know. Micaiah: Oregon's gonna score nine thousand points. Nine thousand. Simeon Schlicher: Well, yeah, but Oregon always has a way like if they get into a stalemate and it's not till the fourth quarter, you never know. Roberto Con Queso: Dog, we're going back to the printer press here. my god. Micaiah: Here we go again with this guy! Ladies and gentlemen, do we have him? Simeon Schlicher: my gosh. Guys, give me I give Roberto Con Queso: Case. Simeon Schlicher: me gimme give me October third, Iowa takes on Ohio State. Micaiah: my you should have said Iowa, Minnesota. Roberto Con Queso: Give me Texas versus Abilene Christian. Simeon Schlicher: Actually Iowa and Illinois wouldn't be too bad either. It's out there. Just I know, I'm just letting you Micaiah: You already said Iowa, Ohio State. Simeon Schlicher: know. It's out there. Micaiah: All right. Roberto Con Queso: I will take Texas versus an FCS school. Micaiah: Biggest surprise team. This says sur Simeon Schlicher: What I have ever done to you, Robert? Roberto Con Queso: Ha ha ha Micaiah: It's eight nineteen. That's what you did to him. biggest surprise eight team, guys. Roberto Con Queso: Biggest surprising team. Simeon Schlicher: Biggest surprise Roberto Con Queso: I mean Simeon Schlicher: team. Not surprising. They're the surprise to everyone. does Vat Tech count? I feel like Vatech doesn't count. Micaiah: Yes, v no Vatec counts. Roberto Con Queso: if you're gonna go vodke, I'll go Virginia. Simeon Schlicher: I like both of those. Robert, I like yours. That's a great pick. I think Duke should Roberto Con Queso: Thanks. Simeon Schlicher: also be considered. Roberto Con Queso: Okay, so ACC, we got a running theme. Yeah, that's what it sounds like. That's what it sounds like. Micaiah: So I'm only allowed to pick ACC, is that's what's happening right now. Is that what h Simeon Schlicher: No. No my god. Micaiah: I am Simeon Schlicher: Gonna go eat ice cream after this, 'cause you guys are so mean. Micaiah: I'm gonna go with Michigan State. Simeon Schlicher: I like that pick. Roberto Con Queso: That's a good one. Micaiah: Thank you. All right. Best conference championship game. So just give me the conference. Simeon Schlicher: Love this Roberto Con Queso: S C C Simeon Schlicher: pick wrong because the best conference championship game last year was the ACC. I think we can Micaiah: Okay. Simeon Schlicher: I hope your X ray machine doesn't work tomorrow. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, not a problem for me, dog. That's that's Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: a Micaiah problem. Simeon Schlicher: I hope you accr accrue three points tomorrow. Roberto Con Queso: All right, dog. What do I got, like four more to go? Micaiah: It's s it's still not a Roberts problem.
