Jack Upchurch has been convicted on all counts for the brutal Christmas Eve murder of Paul Clifford, a good Samaritan who stopped to help him—only to be shot and burned alive. The jury found him guilty of first-degree murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, and arson. Two other suspects, Elmer Smith and Wendy Scott, have already pleaded guilty and testified against Upchurch, sealing his fate.
