Ocean City is set to get a massive $27 million beach makeover, dredging hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of sand from offshore to rebuild dunes and a sloping berm along eight miles of coastline. Starting in October 2025 and wrapping by Memorial Day 2027, the project — delayed by funding delays — aims to combat erosion and protect waterfront properties from storms, having already saved nearly $1 billion since 1991.
