Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_04: Previously on the Stephen Jeff Show.
- 0:02SPEAKER_04: We have been dealing with that great producer crisis of 2023.
- 0:06SPEAKER_04: It's gonna end tonight, Jeff.
- 0:07SPEAKER_04: From Omaha, the producer capital of the world.
- 0:11SPEAKER_04: It's the Stephen Jeff Producer Game, where one lucky contestant will be the new executive producer for the Stephen Jeff Show.
- 0:21SPEAKER_03: But these are the best candidates in the world.
- 0:23SPEAKER_03: The amazing Valentino is always hard.
- 0:26SPEAKER_03: You need to invite fewer sluts and whores and degenerates.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: I love solving problems.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: You know, when those around you think it's impossible, it really defines who you are to be able to get in there and really solve the hard equations.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Because I actually uh did a TED talk over you know successful advertising.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: I gotta go.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be morning in America again.
- 0:51SPEAKER_03: Lots of okay.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: I really think that I could take this places if if chosen.
- 0:57SPEAKER_04: Well, Jeff, that week has passed and people are ready to find out who won our producer game.
- 1:04SPEAKER_04: That was an exciting show.
- 1:05SPEAKER_04: That producer game, you know.
- 1:06SPEAKER_04: In fact, well, first of all, how's it going, Jeff?
- 1:08SPEAKER_04: It's going good, Steve.
- 1:09SPEAKER_04: Well, we say, how's it going, Steve?
- 1:10SPEAKER_04: So I thought I'd throw it the other way, you know?
- 1:13SPEAKER_04: Okay, how's it going, Jeff?
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: Uh, now I'm completely lost.
- 1:16SPEAKER_03: Do they have an award for the best show in social media or on the airwaves?
- 1:21SPEAKER_03: Because I think last week's show, it had everything you wanted.
- 1:24SPEAKER_03: You know, it had drama and excitement and humor.
- 1:27SPEAKER_03: I think the show started.
- 1:29SPEAKER_04: I was getting a massage from you know those guys that do massages, you know, uh misogynists.
- 1:33SPEAKER_04: He said, What a great show! He he couldn't believe how great the show was.
- 1:37SPEAKER_04: He couldn't wait to find out who won.
- 1:39SPEAKER_04: The fans love it.
- 1:40SPEAKER_04: He probably especially liked the happy ending.
- 1:42SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 1:43SPEAKER_03: Last week was amazing.
- 1:44SPEAKER_03: I'm so excited to announce our new producer, maybe to do a little backstory on it so that everybody knows what we did.
- 1:52SPEAKER_04: All those who listened to last week's show, and even if you listen to last week's show after this show, you'll still know it.
- 1:57SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure I understand that myself, but I just basically everyone who listens to the show got to pick who we should hire as our new producer.
- 2:06SPEAKER_04: The vote totals were astounding.
- 2:08SPEAKER_04: It was the highest vote total of any contest, any podcast has done ever.
- 2:13SPEAKER_04: A lot of people told me that there were millions of people that wanted to vote but couldn't because they were kept out because they had to wait in line too long and then the polls closed and they couldn't drink water and all this stuff, you know.
- 2:25SPEAKER_04: But still, millions of votes came in, Jeff.
- 2:27SPEAKER_03: Well, it's interesting, Steve, because I know the results.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: You know, you and I went over them before the show.
- 2:32SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 2:33SPEAKER_03: And they line up exactly with the way I would have picked them if I picked them myself.
- 2:37SPEAKER_03: We are in so in tune with our audience, it's crazy.
- 2:41SPEAKER_04: We really are.
- 2:42SPEAKER_04: You know, you could even say, I don't think we'd be going too far on the on a limb to say, Jeff, our fans are us, and we are our fans.
- 2:50SPEAKER_04: So true.
- 2:50SPEAKER_04: But we digress, we digress.
- 2:52SPEAKER_04: People want to know who our new producer is because the competition was so close, it was fierce, and it was a very close vote, Jeff.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: It was.
- 3:00SPEAKER_03: I think it's okay to make this public.
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: But the leading vote getter was a woman, right?
- 3:05SPEAKER_03: 94 years old in a nursing home.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: It was Lizzie Bordine, she was number one, and I think would have made a wonderful producer.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: But unfortunately, Steve, I don't know when this is recording or when this is airing, but that's the bad news about Lizzie.
- 3:19SPEAKER_03: You know, she's not with us anymore.
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: What happened, Jeff?
- 3:23SPEAKER_03: She died on the can.
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: And ironically, her favorite performer was Elvis, and Elvis did the same.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: So I'm sure she's happy wherever she is, but she's not gonna be producing our show.
- 3:32SPEAKER_04: You know, she should not have skipped that morning cigarette like she was talking about.
- 3:36SPEAKER_04: See, sometimes, sometimes smoking a cigarette can be good for your health.
- 3:40SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: So it was down to two, and Steve.
- 3:43SPEAKER_03: It's not gonna be morning in America then without Lizzie.
- 3:46SPEAKER_03: It is not, and like I said, that brings us down to two that we're left to fill in because if the first one can't, which Lizzie can't, then the next one would take over.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 3:56SPEAKER_04: It's like Miss America, you know.
- 3:57SPEAKER_04: If for whatever reason Miss America, let's say, dies on a can, then the runner-up and would have to avoid the can, like nobody's business, but you know, would take over as Miss America then.
- 4:06SPEAKER_03: Do you want to explain who this the number two vote getter was?
- 4:09SPEAKER_04: Jeff, I'd be glad to.
- 4:11SPEAKER_04: The number two vote getter was that incredible entertainer, Valentino.
- 4:16SPEAKER_04: I loved him.
- 4:17SPEAKER_04: Now, Valentino was so excited to take this job.
- 4:21SPEAKER_04: He was very thrilled.
- 4:22SPEAKER_04: He was a little upset that Lizzie beat him out in the raw vote, but he was glad that circumstances led us to choose him.
- 4:30SPEAKER_04: But unfortunately, Jeff, he maybe this wasn't really clear from his appearance on the show last time, but how should I put it?
- 4:38SPEAKER_04: Everything he does isn't strictly legal.
- 4:40SPEAKER_04: And he did something that was a little, let's just say it was a little not legal, and he got caught.
- 4:47SPEAKER_04: And so he's back in his hometown of Joliet now.
- 4:50SPEAKER_04: And and actually he's probably hanging with your dad.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: Oh, you know, well, then he's in good hands, he's in good hands, whatever position they're in.
- 4:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that would have been great.
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: And I'm sorry he can't do it.
- 5:00SPEAKER_03: Now, there is no way that we could have, I'm just spitballing here that we could have set up the producer's job in the prison so that he could sort of do it remotely.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 5:09SPEAKER_04: Well, you know, funny funny thing is I got on a phone call with the warden.
- 5:13SPEAKER_04: And when he stopped laughing, he said, No, we are not gonna do that.
- 5:17SPEAKER_04: Click.
- 5:18SPEAKER_04: That was that.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: That kind of leaves us with Claire.
- 5:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I'm very excited.
- 5:23SPEAKER_04: Yes, I am so excited to say that our new producer is going to be Claire.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: She said the other side of the glass here.
- 5:29SPEAKER_04: We're gonna let me tap.
- 5:31SPEAKER_04: You know, some traditions need to continue to have that tapping.
- 5:34SPEAKER_04: That's important.
- 5:34SPEAKER_04: It's important because they don't like it here at the studio.
- 5:37SPEAKER_04: You know, that's but yeah, but I digress.
- 5:39SPEAKER_04: Jeff, before we bring Claire on, I think we really should let everybody know some of the fabulous prizes that our new producer is going to get.
- 5:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, they are just fabulous prizes.
- 5:48SPEAKER_04: And of course, we we kept that announcer, so he's gonna do that.
- 5:50SPEAKER_04: But let me just first say that the ones who didn't win, they or their estate, will be given the home version of the Steve and Jeff show.
- 5:57SPEAKER_04: So they will walk away with something.
- 5:59SPEAKER_04: But Jeff, let me bring that announcer on.
- 6:01SPEAKER_04: Johnny, tell them about the fabulous prizes our producer will win.
- 6:05SPEAKER_04: Right, Steve?
- 6:06SPEAKER_04: Our new producer will win an all-expenses paid trip for one to Sunny Mozambique.
- 6:11SPEAKER_04: Courtesy of Big D Travel.
- 6:13SPEAKER_04: Big D puts the D into departure.
- 6:15SPEAKER_04: And our producer will win dinner for two at Mahuan Hame, the Metro's premier Armenian restaurant and pharma boot testing lab, where you'll enjoy a fragrant dinner and earn up to$50 in a clinical study.
- 6:28SPEAKER_04: Plus, a guest appearance on the wildly popular and otherwise inexplicable public access cable show Council Bluffs After Dark, where you'll have a high time watching High Crime.
- 6:39SPEAKER_04: And least but not last, a lifetime supply of Permace, a pharma fruit biscuit.
- 6:43SPEAKER_04: One permace a day will take hooking up off the hook.
- 6:47SPEAKER_04: Now back to the Steve and Jeff Show.
- 6:52SPEAKER_04: Jeff, I tell you, we really got a real bonus with that announcer.
- 6:57SPEAKER_04: Johnny Johnny's tremendous.
- 6:59SPEAKER_04: He's tremendous.
- 7:00SPEAKER_04: He he's sticking around.
- 7:01SPEAKER_03: I'm telling you, this is Emmy, Oscar, or whatever it would be, territory here.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: This is the production values are through the roof.
- 7:09SPEAKER_04: The millions of fans, let's be honest, Jeff, the millions of fans love that extra style, that extra finesse, that extra je ne sais quoi, that extra, I don't know.
- 7:18SPEAKER_04: But I digress.
- 7:19SPEAKER_04: I should point out, you know, that that restaurant, Mahue Haman, or uh, you know, whatever it was.
- 7:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, my I understand that is not only the Metro's premier Armenian restaurant, but two interesting things.
- 7:31SPEAKER_04: It's also an appropriation station brand, which you know, go figure, right?
- 7:35SPEAKER_04: That's important.
- 7:36SPEAKER_04: They're taking over everybody.
- 7:37SPEAKER_04: And I understand that that the Mahuan Hame the is Armenian for nose hair.
- 7:42SPEAKER_04: So I think that's oh that should make everyone feel good about eating there.
- 7:46SPEAKER_04: I think it's like saying that the nose hairs are in the name, not in your food.
- 7:50SPEAKER_04: Which there's a slogan there, I think.
- 7:52SPEAKER_04: Which is so important.
- 7:53SPEAKER_04: It's so important very important.
- 7:54SPEAKER_04: Well, well, Jeff, should we bring on our new producer?
- 7:58SPEAKER_03: I can't wait.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: I'm so excited to introduce her as a it's kind of like in a wedding, you know, the first time you announced yeah, Mr.
- 8:05SPEAKER_03: and Mrs.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: Mr.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: and Mrs.
- 8:07SPEAKER_03: This is like Claire the producer.
- 8:10SPEAKER_04: Let me tap one more time.
- 8:11SPEAKER_04: I just because I enjoy that.
- 8:12SPEAKER_04: All right, I'm good.
- 8:13SPEAKER_04: I think I'm over.
- 8:15SPEAKER_04: Hey Claire.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: Well, hello.
- 8:17SPEAKER_04: Congratulations for winning that hard fought but really close producer vote.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say something a little bit earlier, but I think my mic was locked out or something.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: But I'm really just wanted to come on and tell you guys that I'm only here because I'm contractually obligated to do this second show.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: I really don't want to work with you guys.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: You were completely rude, had tons of attitude towards me.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: I did not go to Yale Business School to be treated this way.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: I've had so many companies that I've worked with and entertainers, and I really don't need to be treated this way by second-class celebrity wannabes.
- 8:54SPEAKER_04: Second class celebrities wannabes?
- 8:57SPEAKER_04: Steve, I don't know about it.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: It just left a bad taste in my mouth.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: I gotta be honest with you guys.
- 9:02SPEAKER_04: Wait, is she talking about us or is she talking about Lizzie Bordine and Valentino?
- 9:06SPEAKER_03: I think she's talking about us, Steve.
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: But to be honest with you, I'm impressed.
- 9:09SPEAKER_03: I mean, she's got courage and I like it.
- 9:11SPEAKER_03: You know, maybe I'm kind of used to it.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: If you quite heard me, I'm I'm not gonna be doing the producer, so I I really do uh you know appreciate this and your votes or whatever, but I yeah, I gotta call out on this one, guys.
- 9:25SPEAKER_04: Now, Claire, you you know that we are the number one comedy show on the podcast world on the podcast internet in the history of podcasts, in the history of podcasts.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: I'd really love to see where you guys are getting these numbers because other than your mom, uh, I think you have like eight viewers in total.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: So these millions of votes that she got going.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: That's not right.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: I really like to see those data.
- 9:49SPEAKER_03: Isn't Steve isn't that the difference between like repeat visitors and and it depends on where you look.
- 9:55SPEAKER_04: If you look in some of the big kind of the insider stuff, yeah, okay, it doesn't look so good.
- 10:00SPEAKER_04: But if you look at Google Diuretics, we we're we're just flowing all over the place here.
- 10:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we we got all kinds of numbers, and you know, talking about my mom, I bought her a bottle of kettle one just so she could drink it while listening to that show that you were on, the last one, because you know, she's 90 and she's got a new baby, she shouldn't be drinking pop off anymore.
- 10:20SPEAKER_04: You know, it's just it's just not right.
- 10:21SPEAKER_04: So I got her the good stuff and she invited a lot of friends over.
- 10:25SPEAKER_04: Now, it may only show that one person was connected, but there were oh, I don't know, seven, eight hundred people in her house listening to that.
- 10:33SPEAKER_04: I just love that woman.
- 10:34SPEAKER_04: She's the best.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: Oh, Claire.
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: Sorry.
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: So, Claire, you have to take this job.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: We've done all this video and audio work.
- 10:42SPEAKER_03: Have you heard Steve's promo stuff?
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Because if you don't take this job, all that would be wasted.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: Well, I think you're you're tugging on my heartstrings a little bit.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: I do have a soft spot for clueless people with their heads in the clouds.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: I do love to work with a cocky celebrity, but I mean, you guys gotta understand there's gonna be some ground rules and changes to the show, and y'all really should start treating me with some respect, is bottom line.
- 11:07SPEAKER_04: Jeff, I I actually kind of like this.
- 11:08SPEAKER_04: Oh, I can't explain it.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: I'm excited.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: Go on, Claire, please.
- 11:11SPEAKER_04: Please, please what what's some of these changes?
- 11:13SPEAKER_04: What what what should we do?
- 11:14SPEAKER_04: What can we do to get you to work with us, Claire?
- 11:17SPEAKER_04: This is good.
- 11:18SPEAKER_03: I like this.
- 11:18SPEAKER_03: Hey, Claire, before you go on, let me just move over to the couch.
- 11:22SPEAKER_03: Okay, go on.
- 11:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, get comfortable.
- 11:23SPEAKER_04: This is my takeover.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: Go ahead, get comfy, you know, put your feet up.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: I know last show I said that I was, you know, really just doing this for fun.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: Scratch that idea.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: I really would like to get paid.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: If I'm gonna be sticking my neck out doing this for y'all, I want a little bit of that cash, still a little negotiable, but we're looking at a a little bit of a higher percentage and not country buffet coupons, you know, roll-up dollar bills, none of that kind of stuff.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: We're talking real deposits into my bank account.
- 11:50SPEAKER_04: But but that's a 50% off at the old country buffet, and it's all you can eat.
- 11:54SPEAKER_04: I mean, you could eat for the day.
- 11:55SPEAKER_04: Lizzie loved that restaurant, it was Lizzie's favorite place.
- 11:58SPEAKER_04: It wasn't probably ate there shortly before she died.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: Maybe died incentive.
- 12:02SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: Little incentive on the side.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't be opposed to that, but nothing really replaces that good cold hard cash, you know.
- 12:09SPEAKER_04: Cash.
- 12:09SPEAKER_04: If we're gonna pay her cash, I'm no economist, but if we're gonna pay her cash, I think that means we have to earn some cash.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, might have to get on that.
- 12:18SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 12:19SPEAKER_03: Wow, okay.
- 12:20SPEAKER_03: You threw me a curveball here, but that is I mean, yeah.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: You know, Jeff, maybe this is what we were missing.
- 12:27SPEAKER_04: Because you know, remember we were missing Chelsea.
- 12:29SPEAKER_04: Well, we're missing Chelsea, but you know, remember in the last show I said, Hey, I'm looking for a producer because you said, Hey, we you're getting all these ideas, we don't need a producer.
- 12:36SPEAKER_04: I said, Oh, I'd like a producer to tell me, don't do that, Steve.
- 12:38SPEAKER_04: It's a stupid idea.
- 12:39SPEAKER_04: I think that's what we got.
- 12:40SPEAKER_04: I think we got one.
- 12:42SPEAKER_04: She'll tell me I'm stupid.
- 12:43SPEAKER_04: I mean, I right?
- 12:44SPEAKER_04: I mean, I come on, right?
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: Uh so Claire, is there anything else that you are you wanted to negotiate besides more money?
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, funny you should ask.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: I would like to be called uh Miss Claire when in the studio.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: I think it's a very good way to show respect, especially as someone, you know, coming from Columbia School of Business.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: I think that that would be appropriate.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: Was it Yale?
- 13:06SPEAKER_04: So now Miss Claire, is that that sounds kind of southern?
- 13:09SPEAKER_04: Are you from the south?
- 13:10SPEAKER_04: Are you from like South Boston or something?
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: I'm a little a little bit of all over, I think.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: A little hop and a skip all throughout childhood.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: So I I hung my hat many places.
- 13:19SPEAKER_04: And now when you say call you Miss Claire in the studio, is that if we're walking into the studio, is it like the front door is the line?
- 13:26SPEAKER_04: So like in the parking lot, we'd say we'd say something else.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: If I cross your line of sight, you best be turning your heads to me, acknowledging Miss Claire, recording or no, you know, a little acknowledgement from the other side that would that would help kind of move me in the right direction, motivate me to really do my best for you guys.
- 13:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, fair enough.
- 13:45SPEAKER_03: You know, as long as I know the rules, that's it.
- 13:47SPEAKER_03: You just want to know up front.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:50SPEAKER_04: Jeff, you know, I'm I'm starting to think maybe this is what we've needed all along.
- 13:54SPEAKER_04: If my mom had just made some rules like this, maybe I I don't know.
- 13:57SPEAKER_04: And she wouldn't have gotten pregnant, and she well, she would have gotten pregnant because you know she didn't have any rules, but you know, if she had laid rules for me, it could be a whole different world, Jeff.
- 14:05SPEAKER_04: And maybe, maybe this is a way to get there, it's not too late.
- 14:09SPEAKER_04: This is a very exciting.
- 14:10SPEAKER_03: So, welcome aboard.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: Well, I know there's one more condition that y'all have to agree upon.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: Because the last time I came here, when I was leaving the studio, I went into use the restroom, came out, and uh one of the hands were just yelling at me for getting into the boys' bathroom, he called it.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: I looked on the door, there's a hand-drawn picture of a little boy, you know, marking that it's the boys' bathroom, but that's the only bathroom there.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: So I really think you need a woman's bathroom that I can partake in what I need to partake in in my own little area.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: Side note, why is it called the boys' bathroom?
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: Like, are we in sixth grade again?
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: You know, what's happening?
- 14:48SPEAKER_04: I think all of life really is junior high.
- 14:51SPEAKER_03: I agree completely.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: Steve, I didn't know we didn't have a girl's bathroom because I I don't think we've ever had a girl in here.
- 14:56SPEAKER_03: Did Chelsea ever make it?
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: Your mom was here, but I don't know if you call that a girl.
- 15:01SPEAKER_04: Yeah, my mom was here, and and we had Meg, the my ex-girlfriend from Florida, and then we've had we had so we've had women here, yeah.
- 15:08SPEAKER_04: We had Sonia Montamayor.
- 15:10SPEAKER_04: We we've had several.
- 15:11SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 15:12SPEAKER_04: So I wonder we're gonna be able to do that.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: If you're not gonna include the ladies, you might be looking at some lawsuits in the future.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: This is why you need someone like me on, you know.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: I'll be pointing these things out to you.
- 15:22SPEAKER_04: Lawsuits need money, and here again, in order to have money for the lawsuit, you have to have money.
- 15:28SPEAKER_03: Slow down.
- 15:29SPEAKER_03: I think you're jumping to conclusions, and we should consider it.
- 15:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, certainly as a business strategy.
- 15:35SPEAKER_04: Maybe if we have a women's bathroom, dude, maybe we just have a bathroom and then we could use the women's because you know that the boys' room here, that that smells really bad.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, it smells like the last producer died in it.
- 15:46SPEAKER_04: That would explain why she never called back.
- 15:48SPEAKER_03: Now it's possible that our the new producer would have died in it, but you know, she died at Old Country Buffet or wherever.
- 15:56SPEAKER_04: I I think it was Old Country Buffet.
- 15:59SPEAKER_04: She was eating lunch into dinner.
- 16:01SPEAKER_04: It's like that 4 30 run, you know.
- 16:03SPEAKER_04: So she can get the cheaper rate.
- 16:04SPEAKER_04: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 16:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah, cheaper.
- 16:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you start before three and then you keep eating.
- 16:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 16:10SPEAKER_04: Smart, Steve.
- 16:11SPEAKER_04: She's got a lot going on.
- 16:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, she would have made a great producer, but I you know, I'm so I'm excited about working with Miss Claire here.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: Good, good.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: We're starting to get those rules down.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 16:22SPEAKER_04: So gosh, Miss Claire, I guess we will start bright and early on Monday then.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: Uh I I can't do Mondays, you know, not after a long weekend of partying, and I tend to do that every weekend.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: So no Mondays for me.
- 16:33SPEAKER_03: That's fine.
- 16:34SPEAKER_03: I'm there's that's why they have seven days of the week.
- 16:36SPEAKER_03: So Tuesday then.
- 16:37SPEAKER_03: So we'll see you Tuesday morning.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Tuesday's great.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: Uh we'll put that in pencil.
- 16:42SPEAKER_04: Pencil that in.
- 16:42SPEAKER_04: We'll put a pin in that.
- 16:44SPEAKER_04: It's almost the same as let's talk corporate.
- 16:46SPEAKER_04: We're gonna put a pin in that for now, and we'll come, we'll circle back.
- 16:50SPEAKER_04: Isn't it fun to talk like that?
- 16:51SPEAKER_04: That's it is Steve.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, as much as I am so happy that we have found the right person, there still is a hole in my heart.
- 16:59SPEAKER_03: There still is something that I feel like there's a sadness, I feel like that we're leaving.
- 17:05SPEAKER_04: Do you feel that too?
- 17:06SPEAKER_04: I know what you mean, Jeff.
- 17:07SPEAKER_04: And we had some difficulties with Chelsea, but bottom line, uh, she was a person, I'm pretty sure.
- 17:14SPEAKER_04: And she now she's gone.
- 17:15SPEAKER_04: I got a little misty-eyed the other night, and I I wanted to put together some remembrances of Chelsea of her her brief time, and we're really gone way too soon.
- 17:25SPEAKER_03: I think this is the least we can do for her, literally the least we can do for her.
- 17:30SPEAKER_04: I thought we should do the least.
- 17:31SPEAKER_03: The least because that would fit.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: Uh she deserves it.
- 17:34SPEAKER_04: Uh that would be a problem.
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: She deserves all of it.
- 17:36SPEAKER_04: But she gave the least, so we should give the least.
- 17:39SPEAKER_04: I mean, I I think that's fair.
- 17:41SPEAKER_04: Or give it back if she gives us the least.
- 17:43SPEAKER_04: Yes, exactly.
- 17:44SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 17:45SPEAKER_04: So I went ahead and prepared a little tribute to Chelsea here, and and let me let me play this right now.
- 17:56SPEAKER_04: I saw the warning signs when she told me that her favorite movie was cats.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: Chelsea, are you sure you don't want the food menu as well?
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: I had a big breakfast, so just a bloody merry, please.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: Hold the blood! Huh?
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: Morning, Chelsea.
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: Uh, I hope that you're not too hungover this morning.
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: Give me a call when you have a chance.
- 18:18SPEAKER_03: I want to get started on some of the things that we talked about.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: I'm just putting some finishing touches on it.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: I should have you something by the end of the week.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: Hi, Chelsea.
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: Now I never received the stuff that you were supposed to send to Steve either.
- 18:32SPEAKER_03: I'm dying to look at to see what you're working on.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: I never got Steve's email about the show.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Or Jeff's, but it could be the internet.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: I was in Mexico, wait, and Michigan.
- 18:44SPEAKER_04: Chelsea was always an innovator.
- 18:46SPEAKER_04: She took Slacker to the ultimate level.
- 18:50SPEAKER_03: Morning, Chelsea.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: We were just getting ready to give you your second payment, but we realized that we haven't really received anything from you, so uh, why don't you send over what you have and we can take a look at it?
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: You should have it by Friday, Sunday, Tuesday morning for sure.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I was going to send it, but I lost the keys to my car.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Wait, my apartment.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: No, my computer.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Hi Chelsea, something wrong with your phone.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: It sounded like it was disconnected.
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: Uh maybe I have the wrong number.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: I know I said I would do it, but I didn't promise I would do it.
- 19:26SPEAKER_04: I only met her that once, but I'll never forget what she said.
- 19:30SPEAKER_04: I'll have a Thai chicken salad and a Cosmo.
- 19:41SPEAKER_04: Chelsea, we'll always remember you.
- 19:44SPEAKER_04: That was beautiful.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: She was so good.
- 19:46SPEAKER_04: She went too early.
- 19:49SPEAKER_04: You know, Jeff, I don't know that we really appreciated her talent.
- 19:53SPEAKER_04: She had an incredible talent for creating something that wasn't real.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: Terrific imagination.
- 20:02SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah.
- 20:03unknown: Yeah.
- 20:04SPEAKER_03: A dreamer and a drinker.
- 20:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 20:06SPEAKER_03: You know, which is a good combination.
- 20:08SPEAKER_04: Two of my favorite things.
- 20:10SPEAKER_04: Jeff, I uh I hate to I hate to leave on such a sad note, but uh I think we're just about out of time.
- 20:16SPEAKER_04: And you know, they they haven't liked a lot of the stuff we've done here at eccentric Lady Land Studios, so we gotta be a little nicer to them now.
- 20:24SPEAKER_04: We and we also gotta be nice to Miss Claire.
- 20:26SPEAKER_04: So we gotta be Jeff.
- 20:27SPEAKER_04: Jeff, we're gonna have to be nice.
- 20:29SPEAKER_04: I don't know if we can do that.
- 20:30SPEAKER_04: We haven't done that in maybe ever.
- 20:33SPEAKER_03: You know, I wanted to thank Miss Claire for being uh on the show.
- 20:36SPEAKER_03: Before we go, Steve, we should probably raise a toast to Chelsea, maybe just a shot or a double shot of something to care.
- 20:45SPEAKER_03: I'll pour us something.
- 20:46SPEAKER_03: Well, thank you.
- 20:50SPEAKER_04: There you go.
- 20:51SPEAKER_04: Jeff and to Chelsea.
- 20:53SPEAKER_04: We hardly knew ye.
- 20:55SPEAKER_04: We hardly knew ye.
- 20:59SPEAKER_04: Hey, Reposada, that's pretty good.
- 21:02SPEAKER_04: Uh Miss Claire and Jeff, I look forward to seeing you guys on the next show.
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: Me too, and thank you, Miss Claire.
- 21:09SPEAKER_03: We're I can't wait to get started.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: And uh until next time.
