- 0:13Hi guys, and welcome back to another episode of the Hawkgirl Energy Podcast.
- 0:17I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is your weekly reminder that it's a
- 0:21new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another day for
- 0:24you to become the Hawkgirl Energy you want to attract. Hi guys, Happy
- 0:29August. I cannot believe we have officially entered the month of August. That
- 0:34is, Oh my god. I don't know how to feel about that.
- 0:37I kind of feel sad knowing that it's kind of officially the last month of
- 0:43the summer. Oh my god, I can't believe I'm saying that. But
- 0:46yeah, I don't know how to feel right now. I feel kind of
- 0:49sad, But I also love the month of August just because I feel like
- 0:52so many fun things are happening for me specifically. And yeah, I always
- 0:57feel like August. It's like you try and cram everything in that you you
- 1:00know haven't done throughout the summer that you're like realizing, oh my god,
- 1:03summer won't buy so fast. I need to do all these things that I
- 1:06wanted to do when you're doing it, like the whole month of August.
- 1:07So anyways, at least that's what works out for me all the time.
- 1:11But Happy August. Before we even get in today's episode, this episode is
- 1:15really just going to be about a girl chat. I really wanted to just
- 1:19talk about some things that are going on, obviously going into a new month.
- 1:23I want to talk about some goals because we haven't done that in a
- 1:26hot minute where I've talked about goal setting going into a new month, so
- 1:30I want to get back into that because we have not done that for the
- 1:34past few months. In terms of episodes, I also want to talk about
- 1:38some traveling tips because, as I mentioned in the last episode, I am
- 1:41heading to Vancouver this week, so I thought it'd be fun to just give
- 1:47you guys some of my tips on flying specifically, and then just things about
- 1:53fall because going into August, yeah, September is coming quick and falls coming
- 2:00quick, so we're going to briefly chat about going into fall. So,
- 2:04as I mentioned before going into this episode, I just want to highlight that
- 2:07we have officially reached the one year mark of Hot Girl Energy Podcasts, which
- 2:12is so crazy to me that there is officially fifty episodes. Well, I
- 2:16guess fifty two would make it an exact year, but there's been like a
- 2:21week or two that I obviously didn't record a podcast episode because we would be
- 2:25at fifty two episodes if we officially reached a year. But in terms of
- 2:29like the timeline, this is around the time frame that I first launched the
- 2:35podcast, So it's very crazy just to see how much of a community we've
- 2:38built and just seeing all the you know, same listeners and all that,
- 2:45it just makes me so so happy that you guys have been listening for so
- 2:49long and it just brings the biggest smile to my face. So thank you
- 2:52to each and every one of you for supporting me and just always downloading an
- 2:55episode, referring my podcast to your friends and all that. That just means
- 3:00the world to me. You girls are my besties, and I always love
- 3:02being able to chat with you every Monday, but every Tuesday for you guys,
- 3:08and yeah, just give you guys advice and all that. So going
- 3:13into almost a year, we almost have two million downloads, which is so
- 3:16insane. So thank you guys so so much. You guys know how much
- 3:21I love you all. So let's briefly talk about Hot Girl Fall, because
- 3:25as I said, September is coming quickly and I don't know about you guys,
- 3:30but the other day I went to home Sense. If you guys don't
- 3:34know what home Sense is if you're not from Canada, it's basically a home
- 3:37goods that you have in the States. So I went to home Sense to
- 3:42look at a few home decorse stuff just because I'm decorating one specific area of
- 3:46my house that I've been neglecting to do this past year and I finally have
- 3:51everything to do it. So I'm like, Okay, I'm gonna get a
- 3:53few things at home Sense just for decor wise, and all the Halloween stuff
- 3:59was out, pillows, pumpkin decor in general, pumpkin spice, candles,
- 4:04Autumn sense, everything like everything was all fall. I felt like I just
- 4:09walked into a like a halloween store. It was crazy, and I was
- 4:13just like, it is July at this point. It was like July twenty
- 4:15fifth, and I'm like, it is July twenty fifth, it's not even
- 4:18August, and we already have fall stuff out, Like is that always the
- 4:21case? I feel like they're starting early this year, Like to me,
- 4:24that is mind blowing. And then there's other stores like Winners and Michaels that
- 4:30I also went to same thing all the fall stuff, so all the I
- 4:34just I couldn't believe it, Like I was like, are you actually kidding
- 4:38me? And then if you guys listened to my last episode, I mentioned
- 4:41to you guys that I went to the States, because if you guys don't
- 4:45know I'm from Canada, I always like to just hide. Like some of
- 4:47you guys that have been listening for a while, you guys know that I'm
- 4:49Canadian, but there has been a few new listeners that didn't realize that I
- 4:54was not from the States and from Canada. So on Saturday, my sister
- 4:59and I drove through hours to go to Syracuse, which is like the closest
- 5:02place to go for like a Target, a Trader Joe's home goods, like
- 5:06all the places that we don't have. That is the closest place that we
- 5:10have from my location in Canada, which is Ottawa. So we drove the
- 5:15six hours total for the day literally just the day, and that entire day
- 5:19we literally just went food shopping. Like I did not go to any clothing
- 5:24stores. We literally just went to Trader Joe's Target and we strictly were just
- 5:28looking for food that you can't get in Canada. So some of the things
- 5:30I got were like Lack colomb coffee, like literally my favorite coffee ever.
- 5:34So I got like the oat milk vanilla draft, like cold brew in a
- 5:42can So I got a few of those. My favorite Graham Crackers are the
- 5:46anti Bunny Graham crackers or like these, like basically it's my dessert. And
- 5:50they have two flavors that you can't get in Canada, which is the birthday
- 5:55cake and it's like the chocolate chip or something like that. So that was
- 5:59something that I can't get. All epop I can't get, so I got
- 6:01some of that. You guys sent me so many recommendations for Trader Joe's stuff
- 6:06and like Dunkin Donuts. I tried that for the first time. I had
- 6:10a I think it was a Peacan pecan butter am I wrong pecan something and
- 6:16it was so good, but it was so sweet, Like I was like,
- 6:19I didn't realize how sweet the coffee was, Like the stirrups. I
- 6:23only got two pumps and it was really sweet. You literally only need one
- 6:27pump in a small coffee. Like it was really really sweet, but it
- 6:30was good and yeah, just like a few other things that you can't get
- 6:34in Canada, so it's so fun just to do like like grocery shopping basically
- 6:40in the States. But again, when I went to Target, same thing,
- 6:45like all the false stuff was out, So I don't know, maybe
- 6:46this is typical and I'm just not remembering like this time last year, and
- 6:51you know, saw all the pumpkins spice stuff, Like Target had the pumpkin
- 6:54spice. Starbucks coffee out like all that, like not the actual coffee that
- 6:58you get at Starbucks, but like the the whole beans that you could bring
- 7:00home for your coffee machine. But I'm pretty sure like Starbucks starts to sell
- 7:05their pumpkin cold foam and all that, I think that starts in the beginning
- 7:09of August or second week of August, so I know August is typically when
- 7:14things start to like release for fall stuff like fall coffees and all that.
- 7:18But I didn't think July like I thought July was a little too soon.
- 7:23So anyways, I mean, I'm excited for fall, don't get me wrong,
- 7:26but I would have to say summer is by far my favorite, and
- 7:30I just hate when like these stores just rush into the next season. I
- 7:35understand why they do it, but I don't like it. I don't like
- 7:39to see it. Like I hate when you're going into Halloween and you see
- 7:42Christmas stuff. It's like, really like Christmas is not for another three months.
- 7:45So whatever. I understand why stores do it, but it's also just
- 7:47like I feel like I just need to avoid those stores clearly to not you
- 7:51know, get me too excited for the next thing. So but as I
- 7:57said, summer's going by so fast, but I am excited for Fall.
- 8:00I think fall will be good. So yeah, all right, let's get
- 8:03into my August goals. I wrote down four goals that I really want to
- 8:11make a priority this month, and the first one being less screen time and
- 8:16being more present I think specifically, like knowing that August is the final month
- 8:22of the summer, it's really you know, putting me in the perspective where
- 8:26I'm like, this is literally the last month of the summer, and I
- 8:28just want to soak everything in. I want to be so present. I
- 8:31want to be outdoors the entire time. I really want to try and you
- 8:37know, lower my screen time. Obviously, me working in social media,
- 8:41I have to be on my phone, you know, probably still at least
- 8:46six hours within the day, if not longer. But if there's ways where
- 8:50I can, you know, stop using my phone at six pm and just
- 8:54you know, do outdoor activities with Zach or go to my parents' house and
- 8:56catch up with them, or you know, go on a date with Sack
- 9:00something like that, You know what I mean, Like, I just need
- 9:01to find ways to lower my screen time because I actually haven't even looked what
- 9:07my screen time is. I don't even want to know, to be honest,
- 9:09because I think it's going to be really freaking high. And yeah,
- 9:15I just don't need that anxiety in my life. So I'm just not even
- 9:18going to look at it. But I just know it's probably bad. So
- 9:22we are making that a priority this month where I just want to be more
- 9:24present and just yeah, try and stay out my phone as much as possible
- 9:28this month, and kind of touching in like working social media specifically, Like
- 9:33just obviously bringing up this goal, it makes me think of the love and
- 9:37hate relationship for this job. Like I would say nine of the job is
- 9:41a love. I love the flexibility my schedule. I love being able to
- 9:46do what I love, which is creating content inspiring women like there's so much
- 9:50a love for the job. But the hate to the job is is that,
- 9:54you know, being on your phone all the time, Like I don't
- 9:56want to have to be on my phone all the time, but I have
- 9:58to. And another thing is it's just like filming. I love filming,
- 10:03but if you're a girl, you understand me. Where there's days where you
- 10:09don't want to film yourself. Like, for an example, last week,
- 10:11I was on my time of the month. I did not want to pick
- 10:15up the camera and film myself, Like I just was not feeling good.
- 10:20It wasn't even like about how I looked on the outside of just I like
- 10:22inside and mentally, I just wasn't in the mood to film myself. But
- 10:28because it's my job, I had to force myself to, you know,
- 10:33be in the public eye and deal with that, you know what I mean.
- 10:37And so that's kind of like the hate when it comes to the job
- 10:39is that the days where you feel low, in the days where you don't
- 10:41feel confident, or the days that you don't feel yourself, you really have
- 10:46to like push yourself. I mean, like it's definitely good to take breaks,
- 10:52and I have done that in the past, but I wasn't going to
- 10:56take a you know, a week off just because it was the time of
- 10:58month or because I wasn't having a good week, Like I can't justify doing
- 11:03that when I love what I do so much that I don't want to just
- 11:07like take that week off because I wasn't feeling you know, like I'll regret
- 11:11it the next week. I'll be like, why didn't at least take two
- 11:13days to film like as much content as I can and then the other days
- 11:16to wreak. So there's definitely days where I can be hard on myself where
- 11:20it's like, you know, it sounds lazy because it's like killy, like
- 11:24you're like filming your life is so easy, Like yes it is, and
- 11:28that's the truth. But if you can understand from like another woman to another
- 11:33woman, like if there's days where you just like don't feel yourself and you
- 11:35don't want to put yourself out there, like you know, you don't want
- 11:39to do it, Like I don't know. So as much as I love
- 11:41what I do, like I would, like I said, ninety five percent
- 11:45of my job I like, adore, but that five percent of like those
- 11:50days where it's like I really don't want to pick up the camera and I
- 11:52have to. It's like days like that where it's kind of like, like
- 11:54that is not something that I want to do. And also sometimes you know
- 11:58I talked about in the past, but like hate comments and all that that
- 12:03can get to you as well, and then still putting yourself in the public
- 12:05eye, like not beating yourself up for it. It's can sometimes be hard,
- 12:09but that's the reality of working in social media sometimes. But as I
- 12:13said, there's nothing in the world that I would change about what I do
- 12:16or anything. I just wanted to like rant and just tell you guys my
- 12:20honest opinion about you know, how people feel sometimes when it comes to working
- 12:24in social media. Going into the next goal before we do that, I'm
- 12:28so sorry if you guys heard like jingling noises. I had these earrings on
- 12:31and they were like kind of ringing in my ear so I'm so sorry if
- 12:35you guys can hear that listening to the podcast episode. I just took them
- 12:37off, so hopefully it's better moving forward. I won't know until editing this
- 12:43episode if you didn't hear like the little ringing, but those are my earrings,
- 12:48so I just took them off. So we should be good for the
- 12:50rest of the episode. But anyways, so goal number two is journaling.
- 12:56I sucked at journaling the entire month of July. I'm not gonna lie and
- 13:01right now I'm going to use the excuse and be like, oh, like
- 13:03some are so busy, I don't all the time, Like that's not a
- 13:05good excuse, Like I'm fully calling myself out for that. But I think
- 13:09that was like my mindset where I was like, oh, like, you
- 13:11know, I've just been so busy, I don't I don't need to journal
- 13:13today. Well, no, I need to get back into it because I
- 13:16enjoy journaling. I feel good when I journal, and I just kind of
- 13:20push it to the side. So my goal for August is to definitely make
- 13:24it a priority at least like five times a week, Like there's no issue
- 13:30for me to take five to ten minutes on my morning to write down things
- 13:33that, you know, things that I'm grateful for, affirmations all that.
- 13:37So that is definitely something that I just kind of pushed to the side this
- 13:41month. And yes, it was a busy month, and I know August
- 13:43is going to be even busier, but as I said, like, there's
- 13:46no excuse for me to take five minutes out of my morning to do such
- 13:50a small task that I know is good for my mental health and it's good
- 13:54for me. So that is definitely something that I'm going to stick to this
- 13:58August. Okay, this is something I've highlighted in previous episodes, and i
- 14:05want to highlight it as a goal because I'm not doing it every night.
- 14:09I'm only doing it every third night, so maybe like twice a week if
- 14:13I'm lucky. Is meditation. I've talked about it where I've just been trying
- 14:18to meditate to help with stress. And I know meditation is it's not for
- 14:26everyone, and it might not be for me, but it's something that I
- 14:31want to challenge myself to do. I really like to, you know,
- 14:35try and include things that I know is good for my health and my mental
- 14:37health and all that. Like obviously, getting into a new habit is not
- 14:41easy, and so you know, maybe some of you guys like you don't
- 14:45really work out, but and it's challenging for you to include that into your
- 14:48routine. So but it's something that you're working on, right that's kind of
- 14:52like new with meditation, Like working out for me is so easy, but
- 14:56meditating is not. So I really need to focus on meditating for like five
- 15:01to ten minutes every night before I go to bed, because I've tried in
- 15:05the mornings. I tried it for like two weeks, and I just didn't
- 15:09think it was the best for me, just because I felt like all I
- 15:11could think about during meditation was everything that I had to get done throughout the
- 15:15day. Like I was like, I don't have time to do this right
- 15:18now, Like I'm thinking about everything I have to get done for work,
- 15:20and then I would get stressed thinking about it. So that didn't work for
- 15:24me. But I tried a few times at night because I'm not really thinking
- 15:28anything about night. The only thing I'm thinking about is having a good sleep.
- 15:31So I've decided to start to do meditation before I go to bed for
- 15:37like five to ten minutes and strictly just putting on my headphone, sitting in
- 15:41my bed, making it a whole vibe, like lighting a candle all that
- 15:43and just listening to it. And I downloaded the Aloe Moves app for my
- 15:50app of choice for meditation, but there's also apps like I think it's called
- 15:54Superhuman. I hear that's really really good, and I know form as well
- 15:58as Sammy Clark's platform, they also have some meditation options as well, but
- 16:03I've been using the Alamos one and they have like different stages, so it
- 16:08could be like beginner stages, expert like whatever you're you know, however long
- 16:12you've been meditating for can allow you to kind of pick what suits you best.
- 16:15But that is something that I really really want to try and like challenge
- 16:19myself to do, is meditate for like five to ten minutes every single night.
- 16:23Okay, last goal for August for myself is kind of similar to the
- 16:30FOTE first one, which is about like staying off my phone and just like
- 16:33lowering my screen time, but no phone for thirty minutes before bed. I
- 16:37used to do this all the time, And I guess, you know,
- 16:41you go in and out a habit sometimes, right, So right now I'm
- 16:45in that bad habit again where I'm like constantly on my phone. And then
- 16:48when I'm on my phone too close to bedtime. I don't know about you
- 16:51guys, but looking at that screen, like when I try and go to
- 16:53sleep, I have a hard time falling asleep because I was staring at a
- 16:56screen for so long, right, so, which is obviously not good.
- 17:00So this is a rule that Zach and I used to do together where we
- 17:03both like put our phones to the side and just like watch a TV show
- 17:06together or you know, just him and I just spend time in the room.
- 17:10So I need to get back into that where we do no phone for
- 17:14thirty minutes before bad. So those are my four goals for August. I'm
- 17:19really hoping I can stick to them. I think they're pretty achievable. Obviously,
- 17:25I've mentioned this in previous episodes that it's really important to set goals for
- 17:30yourself each month and making sure that they are achievable, because it's definitely not
- 17:34a good feeling when you set goals to yourself and they're not achievable. So
- 17:38if there's one tip that I can give, it definitely makes it motivating for
- 17:42yourself to have goals each month, but make sure that they're achievable. That
- 17:47way you feel good going into each month. Right. So, anyways,
- 17:51that's a little tip. If you're someone that doesn't typically set goals for the
- 17:53month, it's so so important, honestly, Like, especially for someone who
- 17:56doesn't feel motivated all the time, maybe you need that push as goal setting,
- 18:02like you need to have goals each month in order to push yourself.
- 18:04So yeah, I don't know. I find that works for me and I
- 18:07do it every month. And yeah, but we're going to get back into
- 18:11that for each beginning episode of each month again because yeah, like I said,
- 18:18we definitely well I slacked on that in terms of like forgetting to do
- 18:22it. But since the episode falls on an August first, it's a perfect
- 18:27opportunity to bring back the goal setting for each month, all right, So
- 18:32let's get into travel tips for flying. So I am leaving for Vancouver in
- 18:40two days and it is a five hour flight, so it's kind of long.
- 18:45It's not that short, and I thought I could share with you guys
- 18:48some of the things that I find work for me when it comes to like
- 18:55flying, just like some tips of things that I always remember to pack or
- 19:00always remember to do before I leave, or things that I do on the
- 19:03plane, anything like that. So I feel like I've mastered some of these
- 19:07things because I feel like I probably like I'm not a huge travel bug.
- 19:11There is a lot of other influencers who are traveling like way more than me,
- 19:15so I'm sure they have it down to a t. But I would
- 19:18say I probably get on a plane at least like six to seven times a
- 19:22year, which I think is a decent amount of time. And yeah,
- 19:26so I'm going to share with you guys some things that I always do before
- 19:29leaving. So first things first, this is like the number one thing I
- 19:33will never forget and I will always put in my carry on a reusable water
- 19:37bottle. I need water on the plane, Like I hate getting those cups
- 19:41of water that are literally the size of like the height of my fingers.
- 19:47Like I can't even explain to you how small these cups are that you get
- 19:48from the plane, And I always ask them can I buy a water bottle?
- 19:52And they're like no. So I've learned, like this past year specifically,
- 19:56is that I always bring an empty, reasonable water bottle. Way,
- 20:00you know, you don't have to worry about going through security of the water
- 20:03being filled. I've had times where I've had to dump my water out,
- 20:07put it through security, and because there's still like water residue in the cup,
- 20:11it will go off and then I have to go back in the line,
- 20:14go through the security again and then usually it's cleared. But yeah,
- 20:18so come with an empty water bottle, and then there's usually like water fountains
- 20:22and all that that you can fill it up at the airport. And then
- 20:26that way, when you're on the plane, instead of getting cups of water,
- 20:29you have your big water bottle, just because I'm always asking them like
- 20:30can you bring me two cups instead of one, or I'm like clicking the
- 20:33button to get more water. Like obviously, like if you've been on a
- 20:37plane a few times, you know how like dehydrated you get from being on
- 20:41a plane. And I just hate that feeling. And I also hate like
- 20:45coming off the plane feeling like crap, having a headache and all that just
- 20:48from like being super dehydrated. So yeah, I mean, if you have
- 20:52to go to bathroom a lot of times, it is what it is like
- 20:55if you can't you know it, if you don't have a good bladder and
- 20:59you can't deal with it, like, it is what it is like.
- 21:00I don't really care if I have to get up and go to the bathroom
- 21:03all the time when I'm on the plane, but I just like can't stand
- 21:06the feeling of being dehydrated, so I always always bring a reusable water bottle.
- 21:11Okay, another tip that I always do because I have had my bags
- 21:15missing multiple times, as I always pack at least one item like per category
- 21:21in my carry on, so one pair of shoes, a pair of socks,
- 21:25underwear, braw one top, one dress, like I just like,
- 21:29I mean, yes, it's kind of heavy to Cairia and the carry on,
- 21:32but I want to at least have some stuff that way, I you
- 21:36know, with my bag does go missing, I have some things that I
- 21:40can use and I don't have to rely on someone else or you know,
- 21:42if it's just me and Zach traveling for an example, like I don't want
- 21:45to have to go to Zara and go buy clothes or whatever. So I
- 21:48always try and do that because, like I said, I feel like it's
- 21:51so common, especially now I feel like like bags going missing. Another thing
- 21:56too to add on to this, this is like another tip is get an
- 22:00air tag that way you know if your baggage hasn't made it or not.
- 22:04I did this for when did I get it? I don't remember my last
- 22:10trip. I got it for my last trip and it was a game changer.
- 22:11So that is definitely something I recommend, especially because like you don't want
- 22:15to have to stand there and wait for like two hours for your baggage to
- 22:18get out. Kay, two hours. Two hours is a bit over exaggerated.
- 22:21Let's say forty five minutes after your flight and you're still waiting, assuming
- 22:23that your baggage is eventually going to come, and then you realize it didn't,
- 22:26and then you have to go through that whole process of saying, yes,
- 22:29my baggage got lost, they have to submit it, blah blah blah.
- 22:32It's like a two hour process. In the end. I'd rather just
- 22:34have an air tag and no, yeah, no, my bag isn't here,
- 22:37Okay I got to go up to the girl immediately or nope, it
- 22:38made it. I can wait and all come out. So highly recommend getting
- 22:42an air tag if you're the kind of person that always stresses if you know
- 22:47your bag is there or not. Another thing. This is actually something that
- 22:51my friend Land recommended to me. I okay, I'm going to talk about
- 22:56this in terms of like anxiety. I'm going to talk about plate anxiety.
- 23:00If you like travel and have anxiety when you're on the plane and all that.
- 23:03I luckily don't have anxiety on the plane. I have the anxiety before
- 23:07getting on the plane. What I mean by that is that going through customs,
- 23:11talking to the security guard, going through the security in general, my
- 23:15mind is full of anxiety thoughts like I'm thinking, oh my god, like
- 23:19did I accidentally pack and an illegal weapon? Obviously no I didn't, but
- 23:23in my head, I'm thinking, what is the worst thing in my bag
- 23:27that could be seen? As you know, for some reason, I think
- 23:30there's something illegal in my bag every time I go through security. I don't
- 23:33know why. There's obviously nothing, but I get that in my head and
- 23:37then I get all stressed and anxious. So I get all my anxiety before
- 23:41getting on the plane. Don't they get on the plane, I'm a happy
- 23:42camper. I'm like, oh my god, We're finally getting to the destination.
- 23:45Things are great, vibes are high. All that. It's the anxiety
- 23:48before, especially when it comes to customs and talking to like the officers.
- 23:55So one thing that I've downloaded recently just to help my stress is this app
- 24:03called MPC. And basically what it is is that it's an app for you
- 24:07to fill out the custom crossing information. So instead of the security guard asking
- 24:11you, or the officer or whatever you want to call it, you know,
- 24:15seven to eight questions and you're feeling stressed to answer them and all that,
- 24:18there's this app where they ask you all the questions that the guard would
- 24:22typically ask you, like, you know, are you declaring anything, are
- 24:26you bringing anything over the border, blah blah blah. And then when you
- 24:30get to the security customs there's two lines or three lines. There's like the
- 24:37next pass, which is like the people that typically travel a lot, that
- 24:40is something that I would love to get is the next pass if you have
- 24:42that amazing, But it's like a two year waitlist right now, So we
- 24:48got to think of other options and this is the best option. So MPC
- 24:52is another line and then it's like the normal one. So the MPC allows
- 24:56you to get through customs pass because sometimes there is really long line if you
- 25:00guys know, you know, and obviously it sucks waiting at a two hour
- 25:03line. So the MPC app not only allows you to talk to the officer
- 25:08less, but it also gets you through the line faster. And usually when
- 25:12you go through that line of you know, the MPC app, you basically
- 25:17just show your it's like a barcode just to show that you've completed the form
- 25:22that you had to do. The officer scans it and usually they just ask
- 25:26you one question. They're like, Okay, where are you going? Okay,
- 25:30I'm going to Los Angeles. Okay, have a great day. That's
- 25:33it. They don't say what do you do for a living? You know,
- 25:36where are you staying, who are you going with? Who are you
- 25:37seeing? Like you know all those questions like that. Just I know all
- 25:40the answers to it, but it just gives me anxiety. So anyways,
- 25:44maybe it's just because I've had bad like experiences like with officers. I've just
- 25:48like not like I've said the wrong thing, but I feel like sometimes when
- 25:52I'm trying to get my point across, I can talk a little too much.
- 25:55Obviously, you guys probably know that because listening to my podcast episode,
- 25:57I just ramble all the time. So anyway, sometimes I can just ramble
- 26:02too long and then I'm like, what am I doing? Like, I
- 26:04think it's just the anxiety playing in a factor when it comes to rambling in
- 26:07front of an officer. So the MPC app is a game changer for cutting
- 26:12long lines and going through customs way faster. So if you're someone who goes
- 26:18through customs a lot, you know, traveling through different destinations, that is
- 26:22key, Okay. Another thing is downloading the airline app before your flight.
- 26:26So whether you're flying through you know, Delta, West, Jet, Air,
- 26:30Canada all those, I always try and make sure I have the app
- 26:33downloaded. I check in before my flight always, that's like something I do
- 26:37twenty four hours before. That way, I can also like pick my seat
- 26:41if I want to sit like in the aisle, if I want to sit
- 26:42by the window or like closer, I always do that twenty four hours ahead
- 26:47of time. And then yeah, just always having the app is good because
- 26:51sometimes when you get on the plane, like they don't have TVs, so
- 26:52if you want to like watch a movie or something like that, sometimes you
- 26:56have to watch it on your phone. And updates in general, Like it's
- 27:00just good to like have the app on your phone. I think for like
- 27:02any delays or anything for your flight, they'll like notify you, so that's
- 27:06key. Another thing is downloading your boarding pass onto your phone. I hate
- 27:11carrying the paper ones like in my passport. It bothers me so much.
- 27:15So like having it in my Apple wallet, I'm just able to like pull
- 27:18it up, they scan it. It's easy. I don't have to worry
- 27:22about, you know, having it in my hand. The other thing is,
- 27:26and I'm sure you guys can feel me when it comes to this kind
- 27:27of stuff, is like I am checking for my passport like eighty five times
- 27:32whenever I'm traveling, so I'm like, Okay, where my passport did I
- 27:34put in my purse? So to put in my carry on? Is it
- 27:36in my hand? So I always like to not have those papers in my
- 27:40passport, like the boarding passes, because I always feel like I might like
- 27:42put it down somewhere accidentally when I'm you know, going to get food or
- 27:47you know, going to get a coffee, and then it's like, oh
- 27:48my god, like where is it? Because those papers are so long they
- 27:52don't typically fit in my purse and obviously they have to scan them and all
- 27:56that. So I feel like lately it's been much easier to like put my
- 27:59pass or in my carry on or my purse, so I don't have to
- 28:00worry about the boarding passes sticking out of it. I can just have it
- 28:03on my phone. It's all in one spot, and yeah, okay.
- 28:07Another thing is pack snacks. Airport food sucks, like being on the airplane
- 28:14the food sucks too, Like it's never good. So I always just pack
- 28:18like granola bars or anything like, oh go to the girls's join and just
- 28:19like pack the snacks that I love to have, and I'll always have it
- 28:22in my carry on. That way, if I'm like craving something to eat
- 28:26on the flight, I have snacks that I can resort to. And also,
- 28:29like the prices of things are just ridiculous on the plane, like everything
- 28:33is just obviously the prices are increased on there because obviously you can't leave the
- 28:38plane to go get something, like everything is on the flight, so you
- 28:41have no choice but to pay what they have there. So I always always
- 28:45bring some snacks for the flight. Okay, so let's talk about flight anxiety.
- 28:49So, as I said, this is not something that I really struggle
- 28:53with at all, to be honest. So I feel like my anxiety is
- 28:56all before the flight. But if I've ever felt like, you know,
- 29:02there's been really bad turbulence, or if I just feel uncomfortable in the flight
- 29:06specifically, I really feel like one thing that could work. I've never done
- 29:11this, but one thing that could work for someone who might be struggling with
- 29:15flight anxiety. One recommendation that I think could really help a lot is meditation
- 29:22on the flight, like doing breathing exercises while you're sitting. I honestly think
- 29:27that could be a really good way of distressing and helping the anxiety when you're
- 29:32going through your flight. Like put like a fifteen to twenty minute meditation or
- 29:36a five to ten minute whatever it works for you, and almost just like
- 29:38shut your eyes completely, zone out, put noise canceling headphones on, and
- 29:42just like focus on your breathing and focus on the persons speaking. And I
- 29:48honestly think it would really help just like relax you and just put you in
- 29:52the better headspace on that flight. Again, I've never tried this before,
- 29:56but I definitely think that would be extremely helpful for someone who struggles with like
- 30:00flying anxiety, Like this could be something that maybe I should do before I
- 30:04get to customs, like I don't know where, before security, Like maybe
- 30:07that would help me and put me in a better like headspace going into like
- 30:12all the pre things that you have to do before a flight. So try
- 30:17it out if you're someone who really struggles with flight anxiety. I definitely think
- 30:19that could be something that could work well I know there's other things, like
- 30:23there's obviously medication if you want to do that, which I mean totally your
- 30:26choice if you have to do that, or there's other things that you could
- 30:30probably google that could help out. But that is definitely something that I think
- 30:34could really help with anxiety. And then there's a few other ones that I've
- 30:38seen, like people post tiktoks about like compression socks and all that. Again
- 30:41I've never done that, but those are other tips that you could use if
- 30:45you're someone that gets like swollen feet or ankles after a flight, compression socks
- 30:49could be key. But yeah, those are just some of the tips that
- 30:52I feel like have worked for me. Again, I'm not a huge traveler,
- 30:56but I have you know, I do travel a few times a year,
- 31:00and I definitely feel like I've gotten down to a t of like everything
- 31:03that I typically need and just like make the process less stressful and all that
- 31:08by doing these things. All right, guys, So that's a bit of
- 31:11a girl chat episode. I always love doing these because I just feel like
- 31:15we're just having a FaceTime session. It's just kind of like a best friend
- 31:18to another best friend just having a conversation. So I hope you guys like
