- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's time for a very special episode of the Almost
- 0:08Speaker 2: Famous Podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 3: And I have somebody with me today. Who.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Yes, I've been a co host with Ashley for six
- 0:17Speaker 2: years and I was nervous about this person being a
- 0:21Speaker 2: co host with me a few years ago.
- 0:24Speaker 3: She stepped in and was an incredible friend partner.
- 0:29Speaker 2: And now she's here on the Almost Famous podcast because
- 0:31Speaker 2: Ashley is doing a very special project that I know
- 0:35Speaker 2: about that I can't talk about yet because it's not
- 0:37Speaker 2: my place too. But we will be updating everybody listening
- 0:40Speaker 2: very soon on what Ashley's up to. She might be
- 0:42Speaker 2: out for a bit, but we'll fill in her spot
- 0:47Speaker 2: with some incredible people.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Beka Kufrin, Welcome to Almost Famous.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Hello, it's so good to see you. It's great to
- 0:53Speaker 4: be here. So thank you for asking me to co
- 0:55Speaker 4: host with you this week.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Well, it's it's true.
- 0:58Speaker 2: When I knew Ashley it was going to be out,
- 1:01Speaker 2: they said who would you like to be your co host?
- 1:03Speaker 2: And I said, well that's easy, it's Becca and you
- 1:07Speaker 2: agreed and it means a lot, so thank you.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Of course.
- 1:10Speaker 4: When we go way back, I was like, dang, if
- 1:12Speaker 4: there's anyone I'm going to co host with, it's going
- 1:14Speaker 4: to be bad.
- 1:14Speaker 5: Of course.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Yeah, we had a good run, and that's kind of
- 1:18Speaker 2: when on to start. There's a lot of catching up
- 1:19Speaker 2: with you. There's a lot of big announcements here, a
- 1:21Speaker 2: lot of crazy things happen. And I haven't asked you
- 1:26Speaker 2: any questions before we started talking, because I do want
- 1:29Speaker 2: to learn a lot about what's happening to here. But
- 1:33Speaker 2: a thing that meant a lot to me for a
- 1:36Speaker 2: period of life, and I think that meant a lot
- 1:37Speaker 2: to you is Bachelor Live on Stage. And we had
- 1:40Speaker 2: the first season. The first run, it was really incredible.
- 1:43Speaker 2: It was a lot of fun, but unfortunately we don't
- 1:45Speaker 2: like a lot of good momentum. It ended because of
- 1:47Speaker 2: COVID too early, and so we kind of had to
- 1:50Speaker 2: go home. And then after that I never joined back on.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Life kind of changed course and other things came in
- 1:57Speaker 2: and it just never worked out for me. You stayed on,
- 2:00Speaker 2: and we're the featured host at that point, and I
- 2:04Speaker 2: know you came on with Ashley a few months ago
- 2:06Speaker 2: to talk about Bachelor Litte on Stage. We recently heard
- 2:09Speaker 2: it's not happening and I don't have any details why,
- 2:14Speaker 2: which is sad for me because I was really hoping
- 2:16Speaker 2: to be a big success.
- 2:17Speaker 5: What went on, that's a great question.
- 2:20Speaker 4: So it was actually supposed to take place back in April,
- 2:23Speaker 4: so the time has come and gone, if you will.
- 2:26Speaker 4: But I think it was just all dependent on ticket
- 2:31Speaker 4: sales for this one.
- 2:32Speaker 5: So when you and I.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Did it a few years ago, we were traveling the
- 2:36Speaker 4: entire country, right, we were in a new city every night.
- 2:39Speaker 4: This one was going to be different, So it was
- 2:41Speaker 4: only going to be at one place for a residency
- 2:44Speaker 4: in Arizona, and that space where it was supposed to
- 2:48Speaker 4: be was massive. It was all outdoors, and so I
- 2:52Speaker 4: think from what I heard, and again like it was
- 2:55Speaker 4: all very sudden, it was just kind of up to
- 3:00Speaker 4: the promotion and ticket sales, and they weren't quite where
- 3:03Speaker 4: they wanted it to be for this wide open space,
- 3:06Speaker 4: which I mean I kind of expected, especially like going
- 3:10Speaker 4: back last year and being on the road since COVID.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Just it wasn't like the shows.
- 3:15Speaker 4: That you and I did together, where some of them
- 3:17Speaker 4: were sold out and it was packed and the meet and.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Grates were full every night.
- 3:21Speaker 4: It was just a different time, a different space, and
- 3:25Speaker 4: I think that still is kind of trickling into today.
- 3:28Speaker 4: So it was a bummer when we heard it was canceled.
- 3:32Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie. It was kind of a relief
- 3:35Speaker 4: because we so, Thomas and I have a lot going
- 3:39Speaker 4: on in our lives. I was going to be like
- 3:42Speaker 4: seventeen eighteen weeks pregnant, and we were having to fly
- 3:45Speaker 4: back and forth between Italy for his best friend's wedding,
- 3:48Speaker 4: and so it all kind of worked out where we
- 3:50Speaker 4: could just relax for the month of April, if you will,
- 3:53Speaker 4: and just travel at our leisure, which was nice.
- 3:56Speaker 5: But it was a bummer.
- 3:57Speaker 4: I mean, it's always fun when you have these cool opportunities.
- 3:59Speaker 4: But I mean, I don't know, who knows it might
- 4:02Speaker 4: come back, A might not. I'm like just as dark
- 4:05Speaker 4: as you are right now about it. But but they
- 4:08Speaker 4: gave it a good go I think.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it was.
- 4:11Speaker 2: It was a really fun event when we did it,
- 4:12Speaker 2: and it was great to meet so many people. I
- 4:16Speaker 2: really liked the concept of the show because you know,
- 4:19Speaker 2: the dating aspect, there's always wild and weird things happening unexpecting.
- 4:22Speaker 5: So yeah, every night, and you know.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I know, times did change, right, COVID. You can't have
- 4:27Speaker 2: people kiss on stage, I'm assuming or at least you
- 4:30Speaker 2: can give to make them signs and document.
- 4:32Speaker 5: It wasn't like when we did it pre COVID.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say that, Yeah, I can't be can't
- 4:37Speaker 2: be sharing spit in an air full of COVID. Well,
- 4:42Speaker 2: I do get that it was probably at some level
- 4:46Speaker 2: a relief because you did and make an announcement that
- 4:50Speaker 2: I don't know was expected, as you said you would
- 4:53Speaker 2: have been like seventeen weeks pregnant during this show.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Was that the plans, No, it.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Wasn't very unexpected, but we always could ask like were
- 5:06Speaker 4: you trying?
- 5:07Speaker 5: And all I can say is we were not trying.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You know.
- 5:13Speaker 4: It just kind of happened, and we like we joked
- 5:17Speaker 4: about it before we found out. Like Thomas is like, yeah,
- 5:20Speaker 4: it's gonna happen right away, and for me, I'm like, no,
- 5:22Speaker 4: it's not.
- 5:22Speaker 5: It's not gonna be that easy.
- 5:24Speaker 3: But why do you have that confidence? That takes some confidence?
- 5:27Speaker 5: I know, right, I was like, you don't know how
- 5:29Speaker 5: good your swimmers are? Like why you know you've what?
- 5:33Speaker 4: But but he I mean he's like, look my mom
- 5:37Speaker 4: like popped out four kids, and he's like, we can
- 5:40Speaker 4: do the same, and I was like, whoa pump the
- 5:42Speaker 4: brains do this one right now?
- 5:43Speaker 5: We're not having four, Like, let's just get through this.
- 5:46Speaker 5: But but yeah, we're so excited.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I mean, we found out in January and we just
- 5:52Speaker 4: announced it about two weeks ago. So it's been a
- 5:55Speaker 4: big secret that we've been keeping for a while just
- 5:59Speaker 4: with our close family and friends. But it's good to
- 6:01Speaker 4: finally share it with everyone. And I feel like I
- 6:03Speaker 4: don't have to like wear big baby sweatshirts to hide
- 6:07Speaker 4: everything these days.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Which is nice.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You Uh, you've I mean even like you've always been
- 6:12Speaker 2: excited about being a mom, and you've always been excited
- 6:15Speaker 2: about the idea of raising a child, and so when
- 6:20Speaker 2: you found out, Like, do you just feel right now
- 6:22Speaker 2: like you're in your groove?
- 6:24Speaker 3: Are you nervous? Is Thomas nervous?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Ben?
- 6:27Speaker 5: I am so nervous. Thomas is over in the moon ecstatic.
- 6:31Speaker 4: He is just he's like roses in his eyes, like
- 6:36Speaker 4: this is going to be so exciting the best time.
- 6:38Speaker 4: I'm very realistic where I'm like, oh my gosh, everything
- 6:42Speaker 4: is about to change, and we have we have so
- 6:44Speaker 4: much to learn.
- 6:45Speaker 5: We have nothing ready here.
- 6:47Speaker 4: We you know, I've just been on Pinterest and talking
- 6:49Speaker 4: to friends who've had babies. But it's a lot and
- 6:54Speaker 4: as excited and grateful as we are, Like I'm still scareduless,
- 6:58Speaker 4: if I can say that on this podcast, But I'm
- 7:01Speaker 4: just in the mindset where I'm trying to take it
- 7:03Speaker 4: day by day because really that's all I can do,
- 7:06Speaker 4: and slowly trying to prepare everything. But it's when I
- 7:11Speaker 4: first found out, I was definitely the one crying because
- 7:14Speaker 4: I was scared, and he was crying because he was
- 7:16Speaker 4: so excited. So we kind of balance each other out.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I do I feel like, you know, I didn't get
- 7:22Speaker 2: to know Thomas at all before you're meeting him on
- 7:27Speaker 2: the beach in Paradise, and I've been able to be
- 7:29Speaker 2: around him, i think three times now since then. He
- 7:33Speaker 2: seems to me like a guy that's just like one
- 7:36Speaker 2: full of a lot of joy.
- 7:39Speaker 3: And two.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I think unexpectedly like does just like lean in the
- 7:45Speaker 2: situations and get pumped up about him and doesn't like fret,
- 7:50Speaker 2: you know, the unnecessary worrying, the the you know, gosh,
- 7:54Speaker 2: I'm not ready kind of thoughts, Like it just feels like, yeah,
- 7:56Speaker 2: he would cry because of excitement and be super ready.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Another piece of that is because what I've seen in
- 8:02Speaker 2: him is he just loves you a lot like which
- 8:05Speaker 2: is such a cool thing to see and witness because
- 8:08Speaker 2: I've been around for you know, a couple of seasons
- 8:11Speaker 2: of your life. So it's really cool to see how
- 8:14Speaker 2: much he loves you so like I would imagine right
- 8:17Speaker 2: he for you. It brings you a since a peace
- 8:19Speaker 2: that somebody's so excited to raise a child with you,
- 8:22Speaker 2: And that's a part of why he's so excited.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Yeah, oh one thousand percent.
- 8:26Speaker 4: And listen, I could talk about Thomas and they're rave
- 8:29Speaker 4: about him all day.
- 8:30Speaker 5: I don't want to get too sappy.
- 8:31Speaker 4: And annoying, but he really is so incredible, and he's
- 8:36Speaker 4: been incredible since we first got together, in every different
- 8:40Speaker 4: kind of phase that we've gotten to know each other
- 8:42Speaker 4: and have been in this relationship. But to see him
- 8:46Speaker 4: be I mean, I have always known he was going to.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Be a great father.
- 8:50Speaker 4: He's the first guy really in my life that I
- 8:54Speaker 4: was like, I could see you being a father for
- 8:58Speaker 4: my children and being like an equal partner and I
- 9:01Speaker 4: wouldn't have to stress and worry about you with a
- 9:04Speaker 4: little newborn.
- 9:07Speaker 5: He has been like the.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Most supportive through all of this, like whether I'm having
- 9:10Speaker 4: a hard day, going through the hormones and just all
- 9:14Speaker 4: these feelings, he has been there no matter what to
- 9:17Speaker 4: be like what do you need?
- 9:18Speaker 5: Like do you need a solution? Do you need comfort
- 9:20Speaker 5: right now?
- 9:20Speaker 4: And so that's I mean, I can't imagine going through
- 9:24Speaker 4: this without him. He has been so steadfast and so incredible,
- 9:27Speaker 4: and it's really made this experience so far.
- 9:31Speaker 5: I mean we're we're only twenty.
- 9:33Speaker 4: One weeks in, but he's made it like the most
- 9:35Speaker 4: meaningful so far, which is so special.
- 9:48Speaker 2: So you obviously started out as a as a couple
- 9:52Speaker 2: that met in paradise. We don't go through your you know,
- 9:56Speaker 2: the twists and turns of that. But now you find yourself,
- 9:59Speaker 2: you know, a couple years removed, you're having a baby together,
- 10:02Speaker 2: when like, does it still feel like you're a bachelor couple?
- 10:06Speaker 2: I've wondered that about people, Like is there still a
- 10:08Speaker 2: level where it feels like a bachelor couple? Are you
- 10:11Speaker 2: guys kind of in a new season where you feel
- 10:14Speaker 2: removed from that and you've now created your own things
- 10:18Speaker 2: and that part of life is passed or kind of
- 10:21Speaker 2: how how do you sit there and view your relationship?
- 10:24Speaker 4: Yeah, it's I mean, look like we still like even
- 10:28Speaker 4: in the other week, we're sitting down and we were like,
- 10:30Speaker 4: how the heck did we meet on a TV show?
- 10:32Speaker 4: So it really does feel like that phase has passed.
- 10:37Speaker 4: I mean, yes, that's how we met, but that was short,
- 10:40Speaker 4: such a short stint in I feel like where we've
- 10:44Speaker 4: come that we just and also we're so boring and
- 10:48Speaker 4: normal that it's weird that that was the beginning of this.
- 10:53Speaker 4: But yeah, we feel like that that chapter is kind
- 10:57Speaker 4: of closed. And of course, like we'll always be grateful
- 11:00Speaker 4: for the way that we met, because had it not
- 11:01Speaker 4: been for Paradise and the weird circumstances, we would have
- 11:05Speaker 4: probably never met and had the time to even chat
- 11:08Speaker 4: and start dating.
- 11:10Speaker 5: But it's you know, everything.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Has its season, and I feel like we've kind of
- 11:15Speaker 4: moved on from that, and but it's still wild to
- 11:18Speaker 4: think about, honestly, like, how did we meet on a
- 11:21Speaker 4: beach in Mexico and break up there and then get
- 11:24Speaker 4: back together and get engaged and now we're here having
- 11:28Speaker 4: this baby.
- 11:29Speaker 5: It's just a wild ride.
- 11:30Speaker 3: It is a wild ride.
- 11:31Speaker 2: It is It's pretty incredible because you know, with Ashley
- 11:35Speaker 2: and I've talked about it, like I've gotten to see
- 11:37Speaker 2: her for you know, over six years now. So I
- 11:39Speaker 2: saw her single, I saw her single and wanting. I
- 11:42Speaker 2: saw her meet somebody at Bachelor Winter Games. I saw
- 11:46Speaker 2: that end. I saw her finally get with Jared. I
- 11:49Speaker 2: saw them get married and to have a kid. Like
- 11:50Speaker 2: it's a really weird place when we get to this
- 11:53Speaker 2: age where you get to see somebody's kind of journey.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I got to see it with you right we're living
- 11:58Speaker 2: on the tour bus. Like it was a very intimate,
- 12:00Speaker 2: right experience for all of us. We were up close
- 12:02Speaker 2: and personal with each other's lives and like the goods
- 12:06Speaker 2: and the bads and the hard days and the days
- 12:08Speaker 2: that we didn't feel like, you know.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Moving forward.
- 12:12Speaker 2: It was It's crazy now to look at you and
- 12:15Speaker 2: see you happy.
- 12:17Speaker 3: And to see where you get where you've ended up.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Yeah, And that's the thing.
- 12:20Speaker 4: It's like, I mean, just in general with life, you
- 12:23Speaker 4: never know what's going to happen, where somebody is going
- 12:25Speaker 4: to go. And I think especially just like from the
- 12:28Speaker 4: show standpoint, things are so fleeting and can change so quickly,
- 12:31Speaker 4: and it just goes to show you know, you could
- 12:34Speaker 4: go through the ringer while you're on the show where
- 12:36Speaker 4: you could have the best time and you never know
- 12:38Speaker 4: where you're going to be in two years, five years,
- 12:41Speaker 4: ten years. And I think Ashley and Jared are a
- 12:44Speaker 4: great testament to like really all the life.
- 12:46Speaker 5: Changes you could go through in a pretty short amount
- 12:49Speaker 5: of time.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Also, I have you to thank for really going on
- 12:52Speaker 4: Paradise because you're the only person I called beforehand to chat.
- 12:56Speaker 5: About to be like should I do this? I don't know?
- 12:59Speaker 5: And you kind of talked me through everything. So have
- 13:03Speaker 5: I ever actually thanked you for that?
- 13:06Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know. Well, thank you, well,
- 13:09Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 13:09Speaker 4: You know.
- 13:10Speaker 3: I think I remember the conversation.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I remember exactly where I was sitting because I'd heard
- 13:14Speaker 2: a rumor that you were considering it and you had
- 13:18Speaker 2: called saying, hey, I just need to you know, from
- 13:20Speaker 2: two leads from somebody knows me, some somebody cares about me.
- 13:24Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 13:25Speaker 2: And we talked it through and I think the conclusion
- 13:27Speaker 2: really was like why not? Like what's the worst that
- 13:29Speaker 2: can happen? Like you go on there, you make a
- 13:31Speaker 2: fool of yourself. Everybody like criticize you and you leave
- 13:33Speaker 2: and you say, okay, you know, it's worth a shot,
- 13:35Speaker 2: or maybe maybe you just meet somebody, because dating after
- 13:39Speaker 2: being a lead is not is not easy now, especially
- 13:43Speaker 2: for somebody like.
- 13:43Speaker 3: You and me.
- 13:44Speaker 2: You know, if people don't know it, we aren't like, hey,
- 13:47Speaker 2: let's go to the bars, let's go out, let's be
- 13:50Speaker 2: super social all the time, let's start. You know, it's
- 13:53Speaker 2: not you know, so we sit in our homes and
- 13:55Speaker 2: we read and we do we play with our dogs,
- 13:58Speaker 2: and so meeting somebody is not easy, and so going
- 14:01Speaker 2: on these shows sometimes feels like the best next step.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Mm hmm yeah. Yeah, So I have you to think
- 14:08Speaker 4: and thank goodness you did. I mean, had I talked
- 14:10Speaker 4: to anyone else, that probably would have been talked off
- 14:11Speaker 4: the legend not of.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Have not have ended up there. So thank you.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I mean, you have a you have a hand in
- 14:18Speaker 4: all of this. And when I say all this, I'm
- 14:20Speaker 4: pointing to my belly right now in a very weird way.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Don't take that.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Weird people, I know how we can twist things.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, and I'll celebrate that. It's it's like I said,
- 14:30Speaker 2: it's just great to see you happy. Well we did
- 14:32Speaker 2: have some listeners that wrote them wrote in a couple
- 14:35Speaker 2: questions for you, who will be the stricter parent?
- 14:39Speaker 5: Me one thousand percent me.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Tumas will be the cool dad, and I'll be the
- 14:44Speaker 4: one who I mean, she's just so easy, breezy and
- 14:47Speaker 4: lets things fly where I'm like, mm mmm, that is
- 14:50Speaker 4: not okay, honey. So but I will say it also
- 14:55Speaker 4: is very hard for me at this point to even
- 14:57Speaker 4: discipline the dogs. I can't imagine having to discipline my
- 15:00Speaker 4: own child. So we'll see, but I think right now.
- 15:04Speaker 5: I'll be much more strict, probably for the little one.
- 15:09Speaker 2: You have a lot of like you you obviously do
- 15:12Speaker 2: you have a lot of Midwest like you have a
- 15:14Speaker 2: lot of Midwest mom?
- 15:15Speaker 3: And you oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah. Next question was
- 15:19Speaker 3: you have any names picked out?
- 15:21Speaker 4: We do, Yes, we had both boy and girl names
- 15:27Speaker 4: picked out. Girl names to me are just like way easier.
- 15:30Speaker 4: We we really went back and forth on boy names.
- 15:34Speaker 4: We do have I think the one, but we're not
- 15:37Speaker 4: sharing it until he's born, So you'll have to wait
- 15:41Speaker 4: what four more months until the little dude comes.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Well that's awesome, And do you have a hard time
- 15:45Speaker 2: not like referring to the baby publicly as the name.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Yes, oh yes, and especially Thomas.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I'm convinced he will accidentally let it slip on an
- 15:56Speaker 4: Instagram story at some point.
- 15:58Speaker 5: So we we've come up with a code name for it.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I mean, you know, like when we're on the show,
- 16:02Speaker 4: you have code names when you're in a relationship.
- 16:04Speaker 5: It's kind it feels just like that. We have a
- 16:06Speaker 5: little code name. So we're calling him Tony right now,
- 16:10Speaker 5: little Tony.
- 16:12Speaker 4: So if you actually hear that, that's not gonna be
- 16:14Speaker 4: his real name unless he comes out looking like a Tony.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Who knows.
- 16:18Speaker 4: But but I'm hoping we don't let it slip before September.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Okay, the uh what has been the best and worst
- 16:27Speaker 2: part of pregnancy?
- 16:29Speaker 5: Oh my gosh. Okay, well I'll start with the worst,
- 16:34Speaker 5: just to get it out of the way.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Overall, and I don't want anyone to take to take
- 16:38Speaker 4: this the wrong way. I am so grateful for being
- 16:43Speaker 4: able to carry life and it's such an amazing thing.
- 16:47Speaker 4: But I don't love being pregnant, I think, just overall,
- 16:51Speaker 4: there's just I also don't like being told like I
- 16:54Speaker 4: can't do things so to be like not being able to.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Drink wine or eat heared meats and soft cheeses. I'm
- 17:01Speaker 5: my gosh, dang it.
- 17:02Speaker 4: But I mean that's been the hardest part, I think,
- 17:05Speaker 4: is just having to refrain from things that you're so
- 17:08Speaker 4: used to consuming and doing in.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Your daily life.
- 17:13Speaker 4: The best part so far, I would say, is starting to.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Feel him kick.
- 17:18Speaker 4: It has been the most weird but incredible sensation. I
- 17:25Speaker 4: will just say, women's bodies are so incredible.
- 17:29Speaker 5: It's just so inspiring.
- 17:31Speaker 4: And I've seen women go through this growing up, of course,
- 17:34Speaker 4: like friends, family members, other people.
- 17:36Speaker 5: You know.
- 17:37Speaker 4: I mean, this is like how life is made. But
- 17:39Speaker 4: it wasn't until I was finally pregnant where I can
- 17:42Speaker 4: appreciate just how my body is changing and like being
- 17:46Speaker 4: able to bring life into this world is so beautiful.
- 17:49Speaker 4: And so when I finally started to feel him kick
- 17:52Speaker 4: two weeks ago, I was like, oh, this is real.
- 17:55Speaker 4: This is really cool. And now when I like, because
- 17:57Speaker 4: at first you don't really know what it is, it
- 17:58Speaker 4: feels like butterflies popping in your stomach. But now I
- 18:01Speaker 4: can feel him all the time, and he is moving
- 18:03Speaker 4: and grooving and kicking all the time, and it's so
- 18:07Speaker 4: fun to feel, even though it's like uncomfortable sometimes I'm like, oh,
- 18:10Speaker 4: keep it up a little man.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Yeah, isn't that weird? So wild?
- 18:15Speaker 5: And Thomas is like, why can't I feel him? I
- 18:16Speaker 5: can't feel him?
- 18:17Speaker 4: I'm like, well, he's the size of a banana and
- 18:19Speaker 4: his legs are the size of a penny right now,
- 18:22Speaker 4: or like his feet are the size of a penny.
- 18:24Speaker 5: Of course you're not going to feel him.
- 18:25Speaker 4: But yeah, it's I mean, one day, whenever you and
- 18:29Speaker 4: Jess decide that this is for you and and she
- 18:32Speaker 4: starts to experience these things again, if she wants.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Like it's, you'll be in awe. It's so amazing.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm really nervous for that day. It's obviously something
- 18:42Speaker 2: we want. But as you said, I have a hard
- 18:44Speaker 2: time like leaving my dog now, and you know, obviously
- 18:50Speaker 2: I have a hard time leaving Jess.
- 18:51Speaker 3: I don't know what.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Kind of human I'm going to become once there's another
- 18:55Speaker 2: human that's in my life.
- 18:57Speaker 3: That's small. I mean, I'm responding, I you might never
- 19:00Speaker 3: see me again. You might. I think I'm gonna be
- 19:03Speaker 3: a puddle.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Hey, I get it, I get it. You will be
- 19:05Speaker 4: such incredible parents, no doubt. But I understand the nerves
- 19:09Speaker 4: like trust me. I'm like, I'm going to be anxious
- 19:11Speaker 4: for the next every day of my life, like not
- 19:14Speaker 4: even eighteen years of my life, but forever from here
- 19:17Speaker 4: I know.
- 19:17Speaker 5: But yes, it's I mean that that's parenting.
- 19:22Speaker 3: I get it, all right, you get the parents worry.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I feel it for a child that doesn't even exist yet.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Okay.
- 19:31Speaker 2: A couple more questions that were sent into us was
- 19:35Speaker 2: now we're kind of switching gears to the wedding. Obviously
- 19:39Speaker 2: we did talk about this being unexpected. You weren't not
- 19:41Speaker 2: not trying, but you also have a wedding that you're
- 19:43Speaker 2: planning for. Has this changed the plans? What is wedding
- 19:46Speaker 2: planning been like now with this event happening in your life.
- 19:50Speaker 4: I knew you were going to ask this one. Uh,
- 19:53Speaker 4: that is a great question. I would love to give
- 19:56Speaker 4: you a firm answer, and I can't. We So basically,
- 20:01Speaker 4: the little guy is coming the middle of September. We
- 20:04Speaker 4: were supposed to have our ceremony the very beginning of October,
- 20:09Speaker 4: and I was like, there's no way we're going to
- 20:11Speaker 4: want to travel and have to coordinate this extravagant thing.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Not that it was even going to be big. It
- 20:17Speaker 4: was just going to be small with our family. But
- 20:19Speaker 4: I was like, there's no way we're going to want
- 20:21Speaker 4: to do that. So I think, and we don't have
- 20:23Speaker 4: any firm dates or we haven't really talked about anything
- 20:27Speaker 4: further than we're just going to push it back I
- 20:29Speaker 4: think a year.
- 20:29Speaker 5: So we're going to wait until twenty twenty four, when
- 20:32Speaker 5: we have the.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Baby kind of settled and we're in a routine and
- 20:36Speaker 4: know what the heck we're doing, then we'll probably pick
- 20:40Speaker 4: it back up. But I will say the part that
- 20:43Speaker 4: we love the most about that and pushing it back
- 20:46Speaker 4: a little bit is Thomas is like, I'm going to
- 20:49Speaker 4: have a little best man to walk me down the aisle,
- 20:51Speaker 4: And so I think that'll be I mean, you know,
- 20:54Speaker 4: you've been married.
- 20:55Speaker 5: I've never been.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Married, but you just know how special an intimate that
- 20:59Speaker 4: is between you and your partner, and so to be
- 21:01Speaker 4: able to share that with this child that we've created,
- 21:04Speaker 4: I think is going to.
- 21:04Speaker 5: Be I mean, I'm going to be a mess.
- 21:06Speaker 4: I will be a puddle of tears regardless, but that's
- 21:09Speaker 4: the fun part that we're looking for.
- 21:10Speaker 5: So hopefully by that point he's walking yeah.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Right, I mean I think I mean that makes sense
- 21:15Speaker 2: because yes, one you have the pictures of the three
- 21:18Speaker 2: of you, now, I mean, how cool is that? And
- 21:21Speaker 2: then two you're able to enjoy it a little bit
- 21:23Speaker 2: more like if you want, you know, if you want
- 21:25Speaker 2: to take some SIPs, and if you want to dance
- 21:27Speaker 2: around like you can, you can really.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Have a good time. Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's important too, because it's a lot of fun
- 21:35Speaker 2: when you can celebrate well on your wedding.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to do it the right way, you know,
- 21:39Speaker 4: not that like, I mean, it's no surprise I love champagne,
- 21:43Speaker 4: and so I mean Thomas, Thomas is ready to go
- 21:45Speaker 4: to the courthouse tomorrow and do it. And I'm like,
- 21:47Speaker 4: but I want to celebrate properly and I want to
- 21:50Speaker 4: like have champagne showers and just not have to stress
- 21:54Speaker 4: about if I'll fit into a dress or not.
- 21:57Speaker 5: And so I think, I think that's the way we'll
- 21:59Speaker 5: do it.
- 22:11Speaker 2: My perspectives changed, you know when you when the show
- 22:14Speaker 2: first aired and Thomas was the one that you were
- 22:17Speaker 2: hanging out with, Like obviously there was the assumption of
- 22:22Speaker 2: who Thomas was based on his time on the first show,
- 22:26Speaker 2: and then as you get to know him, you're like, no,
- 22:28Speaker 2: this dude's great. And then the best part is just
- 22:32Speaker 2: seeing how much he loves you, and like all of
- 22:34Speaker 2: these things that you're saying are hilarious, but it's just
- 22:37Speaker 2: showing how much she loves you and how excited he is.
- 22:40Speaker 3: To be with you and do this whole thing with you.
- 22:42Speaker 2: And for a friend and somebody who's gotten to see
- 22:46Speaker 2: a couple, like I said a couple of seasons, it's
- 22:48Speaker 2: just super exciting and encouraging and there's a lot of peace.
- 22:53Speaker 2: And also out of everything might be one of the
- 22:56Speaker 2: best testaments that the show's ever produced, right, like that
- 22:59Speaker 2: this actually.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Work Ken and and again also too with editing. I
- 23:05Speaker 4: mean everything is for some sort of storyline, right, Like
- 23:09Speaker 4: it's no secret it's a reality TV show, but like
- 23:12Speaker 4: there's also parts that play into it. And so yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 4: for Thomas who have been like this horrendous villain coming
- 23:19Speaker 4: from the season he was onto this, I'm like, you can't.
- 23:22Speaker 5: You can't put everything into what you're seeing in the show.
- 23:25Speaker 2: So yeah, well it's a great testament. Okay, you you
- 23:30Speaker 2: always are up to something. As we said, we mentioned
- 23:32Speaker 2: Bachelor Live on stage at the beginning of this. You
- 23:35Speaker 2: were a massive, massive part of that through the three
- 23:40Speaker 2: seasons or two seasons and a third season those announced
- 23:43Speaker 2: that never worked out, but you were the steadfast.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Leader of that.
- 23:48Speaker 2: You have had your podcast Happy Hour for years now.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I know there's other things happening, So we'll start with
- 23:57Speaker 2: what's going on with Happy Hour? I know I checked out.
- 24:01Speaker 2: You know, the episodes has been a little hiatus. Are
- 24:03Speaker 2: you just taking a break?
- 24:04Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 24:05Speaker 5: Yeah, we're on We're a little vaca right now.
- 24:09Speaker 4: We wrapped up Zach's season, which feels like decades ago,
- 24:13Speaker 4: I swear, and we've just been taking a break. There's
- 24:16Speaker 4: so much internal change going on within the franchise, which
- 24:20Speaker 4: I'm sure everyone's read about and seen in the headlines,
- 24:23Speaker 4: and so we're just taking a little break and I'm
- 24:27Speaker 4: I'm actually enjoying some time off to just kind of
- 24:32Speaker 4: ness and just taken like this whole phase of my life.
- 24:35Speaker 4: So it's been it's actually been very nice. So yeah,
- 24:38Speaker 4: I'm hoping we'll have more updates in the next couple
- 24:42Speaker 4: of weeks.
- 24:43Speaker 5: Fingers crossed you.
- 24:44Speaker 3: You probably that is interesting. You probably had of anybody
- 24:48Speaker 3: that I know would have at least like experienced the
- 24:52Speaker 3: changes internally because you do work you know with Warner Brothers.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Who you know obviously is the parent to the Bachelor franchise.
- 25:03Speaker 3: That's where the podcast. Who produces the podcast? What is
- 25:07Speaker 3: it like?
- 25:07Speaker 2: Explain to me. Because I've heard the rumors, I've read
- 25:10Speaker 2: about the rumors. I still know a few producers who
- 25:13Speaker 2: are still around who are talking about chaos is pretty
- 25:15Speaker 2: much the only word I get, and trying to figure
- 25:18Speaker 2: it out. But from your perspective, what is happening behind
- 25:21Speaker 2: the scenes, I mean, they filmed the season in the
- 25:23Speaker 2: midst of this, so let's go on.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Honestly, I am just as in the dark as you.
- 25:29Speaker 4: I think people think because I do the podcast and
- 25:32Speaker 4: because you know we'll do appearances and we've been on
- 25:35Speaker 4: the show before we know everything.
- 25:36Speaker 5: That is not the case. Like, especially when.
- 25:40Speaker 4: It comes to like higher levels within the franchise and
- 25:44Speaker 4: the executives.
- 25:45Speaker 5: I'm like, I have no idea what's going on.
- 25:47Speaker 4: I don't even think people that are in it really
- 25:51Speaker 4: know what's going on. I'll hear like little sprinklings here
- 25:54Speaker 4: and there. But much like you, like a lot of
- 25:56Speaker 4: the producers and the team that you worked with when
- 25:58Speaker 4: you were on the seas, like a lot of them
- 26:02Speaker 4: are gone, and so it's like, I really don't know
- 26:07Speaker 4: much at all, and I don't know what's true or not.
- 26:10Speaker 4: So we're kind of in the same boat, which is crazy.
- 26:16Speaker 2: It's gonna be because like Zach's season, I don't know
- 26:19Speaker 2: if you and Michelle felt this way, but astly and
- 26:22Speaker 2: I kind of felt, you know, it was kind of
- 26:25Speaker 2: a throwback season in a lot of ways, like it
- 26:27Speaker 2: felt like a season from six, seven, eight years ago.
- 26:30Speaker 2: It wasn't as you know, maybe drama filled as other seasons.
- 26:34Speaker 2: The drama wasn't the focus. At least, love stories were
- 26:36Speaker 2: the focus. We really enjoyed that. Maybe not everybody did so.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I felt like they were getting closer to a path
- 26:43Speaker 2: that maybe selfishly I wanted, I don't know if everybody
- 26:46Speaker 2: else wanted it. I'm intrigued now with the next season
- 26:51Speaker 2: coming up on what that will feel like, if that
- 26:54Speaker 2: will feel similar, if there will be changes.
- 26:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know.
- 26:58Speaker 4: I mean, you said it best, and I kept saying
- 27:00Speaker 4: this when his season was going was airing. It felt
- 27:04Speaker 4: like it was going back to the basics, back to
- 27:07Speaker 4: before all of the drama really was so heightened, and
- 27:11Speaker 4: that was like the beef of each episode, which again,
- 27:14Speaker 4: like you, I appreciated. I felt like we got to
- 27:17Speaker 4: know all the contestants a lot more on a just
- 27:21Speaker 4: a deeper, different level than what we've seen in the past.
- 27:25Speaker 5: I don't know, what would you say, like five or.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Six years, And I would hope Charity season is like
- 27:31Speaker 4: that too, just given the fact that people have campaigned
- 27:35Speaker 4: so hard in the past couple of years for another
- 27:37Speaker 4: lead of color, I would hope that her season could
- 27:41Speaker 4: be not tainted with the drama, but like focus on
- 27:44Speaker 4: the love too, And so I hope she has that.
- 27:47Speaker 4: I mean, I like, again, I've been kind of checked
- 27:49Speaker 4: out lately, so I.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Don't know anything.
- 27:51Speaker 4: I don't know who her men are, I don't know
- 27:54Speaker 4: any spoilers. But I really hope she could have a
- 27:59Speaker 4: journey similar his act sorts, focusing on the love and
- 28:01Speaker 4: the contestants get along for the most part, and she
- 28:03Speaker 4: doesn't have to deal with a lot of the bs
- 28:05Speaker 4: that we've seen lately.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Yeah. I hope so too.
- 28:08Speaker 2: She did post this last week that she's back and
- 28:11Speaker 2: that she's recovering.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Have you talked to her?
- 28:14Speaker 5: I have not, no, and I definitely will reach out.
- 28:18Speaker 4: And we have a little bachelor at group chat that
- 28:21Speaker 4: will check in with each other every now and again,
- 28:23Speaker 4: and so we'll definitely be adding her. But I should
- 28:25Speaker 4: reach out just to see. But she's looking good from
- 28:29Speaker 4: the picks I've seen. I was like, damn, those men
- 28:31Speaker 4: were lucky.
- 28:33Speaker 2: It's the Bachelorette like posts, like all these people come
- 28:36Speaker 2: on the show, they leave and you're like, goodness, gracious,
- 28:39Speaker 2: you are glowing. Like it's that glow you know, yes,
- 28:43Speaker 2: good or bad? You come off that show and you're.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Like, yeah, yeah, Well, she's probably catching up on all
- 28:49Speaker 4: the sleep now too, that she's lacked for the past
- 28:51Speaker 4: two months. She's like, I'm on a schedule, I'm catching
- 28:54Speaker 4: up on sleep, I'm.
- 28:55Speaker 5: Eating right, I'm probably able to work out again. So
- 28:57Speaker 5: I'm good.
- 28:58Speaker 4: I mean, I'm hoping she's enjoying this time before her
- 29:00Speaker 4: season starts and it gets crazy.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's also probably the first time in I
- 29:06Speaker 2: mean geez for her. She was announced right afterwards, like
- 29:08Speaker 2: three and a half months. It's not a camera within
- 29:11Speaker 2: five feet of her as she like you know, picks
- 29:14Speaker 2: her nose or you know, walks to the bathroom like
- 29:17Speaker 2: she doesn't pay anybody.
- 29:18Speaker 3: I'm going to one or two today.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Yeah, just like It's a very nice season of life
- 29:23Speaker 2: to just get away post filming because you finally feel
- 29:27Speaker 2: human again.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Right, I think you just have quiet like she's been going, going, going,
- 29:32Speaker 4: just like the quiet is one of the best parts.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Yeah, well, what else is exciting happening that you're looking
- 29:39Speaker 2: forward to her?
- 29:40Speaker 3: Maybe it doesn't even have to be exciting.
- 29:41Speaker 2: It's exciting for you now that you are taking a
- 29:45Speaker 2: little break from Happy Hour that bachelortte on stage. Even
- 29:48Speaker 2: though the time has passed, you know, you were able
- 29:50Speaker 2: to travel Italy and not have to rush back home.
- 29:53Speaker 2: So what is life looking like in the near future.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I am so excited for the next
- 30:00Speaker 4: couple months because we have been going going wind like crazy.
- 30:05Speaker 4: We've been traveling between Italy Nashville, LA. Like We've just
- 30:09Speaker 4: I feel like we haven't been at our house, which
- 30:11Speaker 4: we just moved into like a month or two ago.
- 30:16Speaker 4: So I'm just excited to get our house done, finish that.
- 30:21Speaker 4: I'm still working on my Sparkling Wineline board done. So
- 30:24Speaker 4: we still have a lot of in person events planned
- 30:27Speaker 4: for this summer, which is one of my favorite parts
- 30:29Speaker 4: is just getting out and being with people again. We
- 30:31Speaker 4: launched in the middle of COVID, which is a very
- 30:33Speaker 4: hard time to launch a new brand.
- 30:35Speaker 5: So I'm looking forward to that.
- 30:38Speaker 4: If anyone needs bubbles in their life, check out Board Done,
- 30:41Speaker 4: Sparkling Wine a little plug there, and then.
- 30:45Speaker 5: I do have another. I can't say too much.
- 30:47Speaker 4: There is another little project coming in the next couple months.
- 30:53Speaker 5: I'm thinking.
- 30:55Speaker 4: It's with it's with one of my friend's brands that's
- 30:58Speaker 4: based in Minnesota come to California. So again I can't
- 31:02Speaker 4: say a lot, but stay tuned because that'll be very
- 31:05Speaker 4: fun to announce and a very fun thing for people
- 31:08Speaker 4: in the California area. Hopefully in twenty twenty three.
- 31:12Speaker 2: I see that in your future. I'll speak some prophecy
- 31:15Speaker 2: over you. I feel like the future for Becca will
- 31:19Speaker 2: be creating really great brands and being involved in the
- 31:22Speaker 2: creation of really great brands. And who knows, it could
- 31:26Speaker 2: also be still, you know, doing a podcast. It could
- 31:28Speaker 2: be doing another show. I don't know that, but I
- 31:30Speaker 2: think you're gonna thrive at bringing really great products to people,
- 31:36Speaker 2: and I see you just enjoy.
- 31:38Speaker 5: It, thinks Ben, I appreciate that.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope that type that comes true. I hope
- 31:43Speaker 2: it comes true too.
- 31:45Speaker 5: Fingers crossed.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Well, really, thank you so much for coming on the
- 31:49Speaker 2: Almost Famous podcast.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Do Not Go Anywhere.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Why you ask, well, because we have an incredible episode
- 31:56Speaker 2: that's out now breaking down all the headlines happening in
- 31:58Speaker 2: Bachelor Nation.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Yes, Becca is here for that. There's some incredible headlines.
