- 1:17Speaker 5: Yes, I am live.
- 1:18Speaker 1: This is not Memorex.
- 1:19Speaker 3: It's Wayne Allyn Root. I'm here. Just barely, but I'm here.
- 1:23Speaker 3: If you guys knew what a rush it is around
- 1:25Speaker 3: my TV studio, I just raced in here seconds ago.
- 1:28Speaker 3: And I had one eye on the clock and one
- 1:32Speaker 3: eye on all the stories out there that I was
- 1:33Speaker 3: trying to get downloaded and get ready for the show.
- 1:36Speaker 3: So Wayne Allyn Root, Warzone Live. I am the Wayne
- 1:39Speaker 3: Stream Media. No more mainstream media for you. You're here.
- 1:43Speaker 3: That means you're locked into the mainstream media. I'm the
- 1:45Speaker 3: biggest mag of mouth in the world. The root, the root,
- 1:48Speaker 3: the root is on fire, as we say every single show.
- 1:53Speaker 3: President Trump is about to declare a national security emergency.
- 1:56Speaker 3: My idea. Very proud, very honored. If it happens, I
- 1:59Speaker 3: assume it's going to happen. I assume he's going to
- 2:01Speaker 3: lay out the case for it on Thursday night in
- 2:04Speaker 3: his presidential address and then announce it either Thursday night
- 2:07Speaker 3: or sometime over the next month. Some are telling me
- 2:10Speaker 3: it's going to happen in the next month, like maybe
- 2:13Speaker 3: early August, mid-August, late August, but not necessarily on Thursday night.
- 2:18Speaker 3: But he's going to lay out the case on Thursday
- 2:19Speaker 3: night for foreign interference cases. American elections. Here is my commentary.
- 2:25Speaker 3: President Trump's about to declare a national security emergency for elections.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Democrats and the liberal media are panicked and hysterical, and
- 2:31Speaker 3: it all starts Thursday night with the presidential address to
- 2:34Speaker 3: the nation. For many months now, I've been on a
- 2:39Speaker 3: national security emergency crusade. While Republicans in the House and
- 2:43Speaker 3: Senate and conservative activists like Scott Pressler, who obviously means well,
- 2:48Speaker 3: I like Scott, have been pushing the SAVE Act 24-7,
- 2:52Speaker 3: I've been pushing something a thousand times better, a national
- 2:57Speaker 3: security emergency for elections. This national security emergency invention was
- 3:03Speaker 3: created by myself and an assist from my election security expert,
- 3:07Speaker 3: John Goodman. This idea is like comparing, you know, when
- 3:10Speaker 3: comparing this to the SAVE Act, It's like comparing a
- 3:13Speaker 3: tiny 1% tax cut to Ronald Reagan's massive record-setting Income
- 3:19Speaker 3: Tax Act of 1981 that cut income tax rates from
- 3:22Speaker 3: 70% to 28%. There is no comparison. Now, don't get
- 3:28Speaker 3: me wrong. The SAVE Act is good. I support it
- 3:30Speaker 3: if it could ever pass, but it can't. The GOP
- 3:34Speaker 3: would need to suspend or permanently kill the filibuster, or
- 3:37Speaker 3: they need 60 votes. And we don't have 60 votes.
- 3:41Speaker 3: It's not even close. We don't have 52 votes. But
- 3:44Speaker 3: even if by miracle the GOP could suddenly find a
- 3:46Speaker 3: way to pass the SAVE Act, it's too little, too late.
- 3:50Speaker 3: It would never be in place to protect the midterms.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Why does no one understand this? Get this through your skulls.
- 3:56Speaker 3: As I've pointed out, for many months, the GOP needed
- 3:59Speaker 3: to pass the SAVE Act a year ago. thereby leaving
- 4:03Speaker 3: enough time for nonstop Democrat legal challenges and a final
- 4:07Speaker 3: Supreme Court ruling. And seeing the terrible, awful, horrible, embarrassing
- 4:12Speaker 3: Supreme Court decisions of last month on birthright citizenship and
- 4:17Speaker 3: on allowing the counting of late ballots past Election Day,
- 4:20Speaker 3: does anyone feel confident we'd even get a positive outcome
- 4:25Speaker 3: for the Supreme Court? And then there's the final problem
- 4:28Speaker 3: with the SAVE Act. It doesn't go far enough. It
- 4:30Speaker 3: never addresses the disaster of machine voting versus paper ballots.
- 4:35Speaker 3: The SAVE Act could pass and elections would still be
- 4:39Speaker 3: stolen by machine vote fraud. In particular, fraud committed by
- 4:43Speaker 3: foreign enemies of the United States. So knowing all that,
- 4:47Speaker 3: while the whole GOP was obsessing 24-7 with finding some long-shot,
- 4:52Speaker 3: one-in-a-million way to pass the SAVE Act, I came up
- 4:55Speaker 3: with something a thousand times better that addresses every failing
- 5:00Speaker 3: of the SAVE Act. The problem is that most MAGA
- 5:04Speaker 3: conservatives still do not understand why my national security emergency
- 5:08Speaker 3: is so much better than the famous and, I believe,
- 5:11Speaker 3: flawed SAVE Act. First, understand the most positive sign of all.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Democrats and the media are freaking out about my national
- 5:19Speaker 3: security emergency idea. If Democrats are scared to death, then
- 5:24Speaker 3: you know we're on the right track. As soon as
- 5:27Speaker 3: I appeared on Steve Bannon's War Room TV show to
- 5:29Speaker 3: promote this idea, the Democrat media machine led by George
- 5:32Speaker 3: Soros-funded Media Matters went into overdrive, shrieking at my idea,
- 5:37Speaker 3: howling at the moon, screaming, the sky is falling. That's
- 5:42Speaker 3: because Democrats realize my idea is foolproof. They cannot stop it. Second,
- 5:47Speaker 3: this isn't my first rodeo.
- 5:49Speaker 5: This is my second.
- 5:51Speaker 3: National security emergency idea. It was already proven unstoppable the
- 5:54Speaker 3: first time around. Way back in 2019, President Trump could
- 5:58Speaker 3: not secure the open border and build his wall because
- 6:01Speaker 3: Congress refused to provide the funding. So I came up
- 6:04Speaker 3: with the idea for President Trump to declare a national
- 6:06Speaker 3: security emergency at the border. And that would allow him
- 6:10Speaker 3: to take the money from the Pentagon budget to finish
- 6:14Speaker 3: building the wall. It would also allow him to bypass Congress.
- 6:18Speaker 3: President Trump adopted my idea. It worked then and it
- 6:20Speaker 3: will work now. It worked because this national security emergency
- 6:24Speaker 3: could not be challenged in court. The Supreme Court already
- 6:27Speaker 3: ruled in 1983 under Reagan. that a national security emergency
- 6:31Speaker 3: can only be overturned by a two-thirds vote on both
- 6:34Speaker 3: houses of Congress, which is literally impossible to achieve. Third,
- 6:38Speaker 3: my idea is not an executive order. So please stop
- 6:42Speaker 3: confusing the two. Traditional executive orders can be challenged in court,
- 6:47Speaker 3: but a national security emergency is a whole different animal
- 6:50Speaker 3: and cannot be challenged in court. Fact. So I've invented
- 6:53Speaker 3: a way to grab every element of the SAVE Act,
- 6:56Speaker 3: voter ID, proof of citizenship, and strictly limiting mail-in voting. Plus,
- 7:02Speaker 3: this idea adds many more important reforms for election integrity
- 7:07Speaker 3: and rolls them into a foolproof vehicle, a national security
- 7:10Speaker 3: emergency declaration. Again, let me stress, my idea is not
- 7:14Speaker 3: an EO, executive order. It's a national security emergency, a
- 7:18Speaker 3: whole different animal, completely different, and it cannot be challenged
- 7:22Speaker 3: in court. No wonder Democrats are panicking. No wonder Media
- 7:26Speaker 3: Matters is hysterical. Fourth, my idea stops Democrats, i.e. communist
- 7:31Speaker 3: traitors who steal elections, cold in their tracks from using
- 7:35Speaker 3: foreign interference to hack into machines, change vote totals, and
- 7:39Speaker 3: steal elections. Even if the SAVE Act passed, it does
- 7:43Speaker 3: not address machine voter fraud. This national security emergency mandates
- 7:48Speaker 3: voting by paper ballots. This is how Americans have voted.
- 7:52Speaker 3: from the beginning of our nation 250 years ago, and
- 7:54Speaker 3: it works. I would also include bans of ballot harvesting
- 7:58Speaker 3: and ballot drop boxes, which are illegal in every other
- 8:01Speaker 3: major country because both practices lead to massive voter fraud. Fifth,
- 8:07Speaker 3: my national security emergency really is based on a serious emergency.
- 8:11Speaker 3: It's based on foreign interference in U.S. elections. Our elections
- 8:15Speaker 3: are being rigged and stolen by foreign enemies of the
- 8:18Speaker 3: United States. President Trump is holding a presidential address to
- 8:22Speaker 3: the nation on Thursday night. Word has it this will
- 8:24Speaker 3: be when he starts to lay out his case of
- 8:26Speaker 3: foreign interference in U.S. elections to the American people, and
- 8:30Speaker 3: not just stolen presidential elections, but dozens of U.S. Senate
- 8:35Speaker 3: and House seats have been stolen. Soon, therefore, I expect
- 8:38Speaker 3: President Trump to declare a national security emergency for elections.
- 8:42Speaker 3: If you think President Trump can't prove foreign enemies are
- 8:45Speaker 3: stealing our elections, I have news for you. Why do
- 8:48Speaker 3: you think America invaded Venezuela's presidential palace, captured their president,
- 8:52Speaker 3: Nicolas Maduro, and brought him back to U.S.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Soil?
- 8:56Speaker 3: Why go to all that trouble? We could have just
- 8:58Speaker 3: bombed his palace and killed him. Why go to the
- 9:02Speaker 3: trouble of capturing him? Because they needed him to testify.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Maduro coordinated the stolen election of 2020, knows the details
- 9:10Speaker 3: of how it was done, and can testify against Democrat
- 9:13Speaker 3: leaders involved. But the most obvious example of foreign interference
- 9:17Speaker 3: in U.S. elections is a no-brainer. The open border invasion
- 9:22Speaker 3: conducted and coordinated by Democrats to change the demographics of
- 9:27Speaker 3: the electorate. The plan was simple and purposeful. Open the borders,
- 9:32Speaker 3: invite the whole world in, wave them in, illegally register
- 9:36Speaker 3: them to vote, and use the illegal, alien foreign invaders
- 9:40Speaker 3: to to steal elections across the USA. Non-citizens are voting.
- 9:45Speaker 3: That is a fact. This is the perfect proof of
- 9:48Speaker 3: foreign interference in U.S. elections and the perfect reason to
- 9:52Speaker 3: declare a national security emergency for elections. It all starts
- 9:56Speaker 3: with President Trump's address to the nation on Thursday night
- 10:00Speaker 3: Want to bet?
- 10:02Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:03Speaker 3: That was my opening commentary. I've been campaigning for this.
- 10:07Speaker 3: I've been lobbying for this. I don't know what word
- 10:08Speaker 3: you want to use. I've been begging for this. I've
- 10:10Speaker 3: been hounding this. I've been cajoling this for months and months.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Of course, I've been hounded by John Goodman, my national
- 10:17Speaker 3: security expert, who never leaves me alone. He is always pushing, pushing, pushing. Wayne,
- 10:22Speaker 3: push President Trump to do a national security emergency. And
- 10:26Speaker 3: by George, I think we're going to get it. I
- 10:28Speaker 3: think we're going to win this one. All right, the
- 10:30Speaker 3: sponsor of this segment of the show, Zcha Genesis Medicine.
- 10:35Speaker 3: They're a biotech company. They've been developing medicines to treat
- 10:39Speaker 3: Parkinson's disease, reverse type 2 diabetes, and to grow new
- 10:43Speaker 3: blood vessels in the heart to reverse heart disease, which
- 10:46Speaker 3: is going to kill about one-third of the people watching
- 10:49Speaker 3: right now. Zitra has a new breakthrough to potentially reverse
- 10:52Speaker 3: chronic pain. More than 50 million Americans suffer from chronic pain.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Their medications could lessen or eliminate pains such as neuropathy,
- 11:01Speaker 3: back pain, or migraine headaches. Data shows at least 10%
- 11:05Speaker 3: of everyone watching right now suffers from severe back pain alone.
- 11:09Speaker 3: To get this medicine to market, they're seeking investors to
- 11:12Speaker 3: fund more medical research studies, each as offering investors a
- 11:16Speaker 3: royalty of 50% of cash received until they reach 10
- 11:20Speaker 3: times their investment. If you're interested in learning more about
- 11:23Speaker 3: this investment opportunity, go to the website they created just
- 11:26Speaker 3: for my fans, cure-covid. cure-war.com. That's cure-war.com. Wouldn't it be
- 11:31Speaker 3: great to make money and help cure diseases at the
- 11:33Speaker 3: same time? Go to cure-war.com. All right, we're headed to
- 11:39Speaker 3: a break. I'm Wayne Allyn Root. The Root, the Root,
- 11:41Speaker 3: the Root is on fire. When we get back, lots
- 11:44Speaker 3: of new stories that I haven't got to yet because
- 11:47Speaker 3: I was busy reading my commentary I'm so excited about.
- 11:50Speaker 3: By the way, it's the lead commentary at the very
- 11:52Speaker 3: top of thegatewaypundit.com. We are the official podcast of thegatewaypundit.com.
- 11:57Speaker 3: This is the big one. I'm telling you, I've pushed
- 11:59Speaker 3: President Trump to do a national security emergency for borders
- 12:03Speaker 3: in 2019, and he funded the wall with my idea.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Now we're going to push him to put into effect
- 12:08Speaker 3: a national security emergency for elections and stop stolen elections.
- 12:12Speaker 3: We'll be right back. All right, Wayne Allyn Root, joining
- 12:21Speaker 3: me is Silvano DiGenova, owner of Tangible Investments.
- 12:24Speaker 5: Sil, I've known you forever, and I've been buying.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Gold forever and silver forever and rare coins forever. It's
- 12:32Speaker 3: great to have you with us. With the Iran deal done,
- 12:35Speaker 3: how do you see the economy and inflation moving in
- 12:37Speaker 3: the near future?
- 12:39Speaker 6: Well, nothing's really changed. We're in an inflationary environment. The
- 12:44Speaker 6: government deficits are through the roof. The reality is that
- 12:50Speaker 6: oil prices may come down, but inflation is going to
- 12:53Speaker 6: be with us long term.
- 12:56Speaker 5: How does inflation impact the demand for gold and silver?
- 13:01Speaker 6: Well, the more inflation there is, the more demand there's
- 13:05Speaker 6: going to be for gold. People want to get away
- 13:07Speaker 6: from their paper assets. They want to hold something that
- 13:11Speaker 6: is going to hold its value or appreciate in an
- 13:14Speaker 6: inflationary times. And gold and hard assets are the only
- 13:18Speaker 6: real thing that are an insurance policy against this type
- 13:22Speaker 6: of inflation. And the reality is, we may still have
- 13:27Speaker 6: rampant inflation. And we saw that under a different administration.
- 13:33Speaker 6: And this one's doing okay to try and buckle it down.
- 13:36Speaker 6: But long-term, government spending is not going to stop. World
- 13:40Speaker 6: government spending is not going to stop. And that's going
- 13:44Speaker 6: to be good for gold and hard assets into perpetuity
- 13:47Speaker 6: at this point.
- 13:49Speaker 3: And world debt is not going to stop. And America's
- 13:51Speaker 3: debt is not going to stop. It just keeps getting
- 13:54Speaker 3: higher and higher. How should buyers of gold and silver
- 13:57Speaker 3: know which gold products to buy and what to avoid?
- 14:02Speaker 6: Well, they certainly don't want to buy products that trade
- 14:05Speaker 6: or are being offered.
- 14:06Speaker 1: At big premiums.
- 14:09Speaker 6: If you're going to buy gold as your hedge, you
- 14:12Speaker 6: want it as close to the spot price of gold
- 14:15Speaker 6: as possible.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Right now, we have an anomaly.
- 14:18Speaker 6: You can actually buy some fairly rare coins at no
- 14:23Speaker 6: premium or very little premium to just bullion coins, like
- 14:27Speaker 6: $ 20 gold pieces that are 100 years old. We're selling
- 14:31Speaker 6: them at $ 50.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Over the melt price. Or you can buy.
- 14:40Speaker 6: Bullion coins from us at a very small premium over
- 14:43Speaker 6: the spot price. There's a lot of gimmicks out there,
- 14:47Speaker 6: a lot of companies selling certified gold coins at big
- 14:51Speaker 6: premiums and saying they're a gold investment.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Well, they're not.
- 14:55Speaker 6: I mean, you're going to have to overcome their markup.
- 14:59Speaker 3: If you want gold, silver, precious metals, or rare coins
- 15:02Speaker 3: from a real firm with real credibility and honest pricing,
- 15:05Speaker 3: call Sill.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Tangible Investments is Silvana's company.
- 15:08Speaker 3: 888-330-4351. Or go to the website they created just for
- 15:13Speaker 3: my fans.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Rootforgold.com. Tell them War sent you.
- 15:50Speaker 3: All right, so much going on, so much going on.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Coming up in just like 35 minutes, I'll be on
- 15:55Speaker 3: with Steve Bannon on his War Room show. So I
- 15:58Speaker 3: was just texting Bannon and saying, hey, you asked me
- 16:00Speaker 3: to be on at 5 o'clock. My podcast ends at
- 16:03Speaker 3: 5 o'clock, so we've got to coordinate this. It's going
- 16:05Speaker 3: to be very tight. Got to figure out what to do.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I've got a guest on now, Wayne Barnes. Another Wayne.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Welcome to the other Wayne. Wayne Barnes, 29-year FBI counterintelligence agent.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Let's first say hi to Wayne. Wayne, how are you?
- 16:18Speaker 3: It's Wayne.
- 16:20Speaker 7: I'm doing really well, Wayne. My name, Wayne, is going
- 16:22Speaker 7: well through life. I've really enjoyed having it.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Two Waynes. Two Waynes. And the third Wayne is Wayne Newton.
- 16:27Speaker 3: So now we've got three Waynes in Las Vegas. On
- 16:31Speaker 3: June 3rd, the FBI and MI5 and three other allied
- 16:35Speaker 3: services issued a joint warning. Chinese military intelligence is running
- 16:41Speaker 3: active recruitment campaigns through LinkedIn, posing as think tanks... and
- 16:47Speaker 3: consultancies to target clearance holders. So let me tell you,
- 16:52Speaker 3: as a person who studies politics 25 hours a day
- 16:54Speaker 3: and thinks he's a smart guy, Wayne, I have no
- 16:57Speaker 3: idea what this says. I don't even know what that means.
- 16:59Speaker 3: What the hell is a clearance holder? I don't even
- 17:01Speaker 3: know what you're talking about. Tell me in layman's terms
- 17:05Speaker 3: what the hell's going on.
- 17:07Speaker 7: When you're in the federal government, if you have a clearance,
- 17:10Speaker 7: and many, many thousands of people do have clearances, tens
- 17:12Speaker 7: of thousands, It means you pass the background check. They've
- 17:15Speaker 7: interviewed your neighbors, your relatives. They've done your background. They
- 17:18Speaker 7: look for your online information. And they determine if you,
- 17:22Speaker 7: in fact, are a security risk so that you can
- 17:26Speaker 7: learn our nation's secrets. In the FBI, everyone has a
- 17:29Speaker 7: top-secret security clearance. But also we have individuals who are
- 17:32Speaker 7: defense contractors. You're a naval architect working on the new
- 17:35Speaker 7: design for a submarine or the new plane wing for
- 17:39Speaker 7: the B-2 bomber. All these people have clearances while they're
- 17:42Speaker 7: not in the federal government per se. So there are
- 17:44Speaker 7: really tens of thousands of people who have clearances. So
- 17:47Speaker 7: what this organization was doing, what the Chinese were doing,
- 17:50Speaker 7: was they were using a typical American website, LinkedIn or
- 17:54Speaker 7: others similar to it, and they were posting employment for
- 17:58Speaker 7: people who.
- 17:59Speaker 8: Had the skill sets to have those jobs completed. which
- 18:02Speaker 8: would require government clearances.
- 18:04Speaker 7: Of course, in England, there's an Official Secrets Act where
- 18:06Speaker 7: you sign something on the dotted line. When you leave
- 18:09Speaker 7: a government job or when you leave the FBI and
- 18:11Speaker 7: if you had a clearance, there's also a document. It's
- 18:13Speaker 7: not so high and mighty sort of a name, but
- 18:15Speaker 7: it's a very specific document, which indicates that secrets you have,
- 18:18Speaker 7: things you know, will remain with you.
- 18:20Speaker 8: You won't give them to others.
- 18:22Speaker 7: So if someone is either fired from a job or
- 18:23Speaker 7: just decides to leave or moves and hasn't got a position,
- 18:26Speaker 7: but they used to have a clearance, What it looks
- 18:29Speaker 7: like the Chinese are aiming at are those kind of
- 18:31Speaker 7: people involved in the tech world where they've got clearances
- 18:34Speaker 7: and technology skill. The difficulty is they're pitching people in
- 18:38Speaker 7: this effort to get their knowledge, their secrets, in a
- 18:41Speaker 7: very cold way. That is to say, at one point,
- 18:46Speaker 7: they have to say, well, show us examples of things
- 18:48Speaker 7: you've written, saying.
- 18:49Speaker 8: What your skill set is in your particular field. And
- 18:52Speaker 8: at that point, they.
- 18:54Speaker 7: should say, well, everything I've written in the past five
- 18:56Speaker 7: years was classified for the federal government. But some, right,
- 19:00Speaker 7: or secret or top secret or compartmented something. So at
- 19:04Speaker 7: one point they may say, well, listen, I'm stuck here
- 19:06Speaker 7: in Portland, Oregon. I moved here to be with my
- 19:09Speaker 7: wife's family.
- 19:10Speaker 8: I don't have a job. I got to get a job.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Maybe I just give them one of these papers I
- 19:14Speaker 7: had so they see my skill in writing.
- 19:16Speaker 8: And that's the kind of thing they're looking for.
- 19:18Speaker 7: But the weakness in that from the other side is
- 19:21Speaker 7: that if you give someone your secret or if you
- 19:24Speaker 7: realize that's what they want, you report this to your
- 19:26Speaker 7: local FBI office or the security officer in the last
- 19:29Speaker 7: place where you worked if you're a defense contractor, and
- 19:32Speaker 7: that person will put out the alert. They'll say, hey,
- 19:34Speaker 7: all you people who are leaving your positions now, whether
- 19:36Speaker 7: you're leaving them or looking to leave the position, be
- 19:39Speaker 7: aware this is out there. So it could only work
- 19:41Speaker 7: maybe one or two times unless someone is really against
- 19:44Speaker 7: the U.S., and uh it can be shut down.
- 19:47Speaker 8: By having not noticed that just like came out but.
- 19:50Speaker 7: Enough people did it or happened it happened to them
- 19:52Speaker 7: where they were pitched this way uh that it became
- 19:55Speaker 7: known so all.
- 19:56Speaker 8: The effort all the time and they.
- 19:57Speaker 7: Put into it uh i don't know how much it
- 19:59Speaker 7: succeeded but um.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Well, here's the problem.
- 20:02Speaker 8: That was the plan.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Here's the problem I see as a common sense guy.
- 20:05Speaker 3: There's there's several things. Number one, most people need money.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 20:10Speaker 3: And if you leave the government, you don't have the
- 20:11Speaker 3: job anymore. You really need money. So they become desperate.
- 20:15Speaker 3: And number two, based on everything I've learned in the
- 20:17Speaker 3: last 10 years with Donald.
- 20:18Speaker 5: Trump as president.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Multiple times, almost the whole government is against them. They're
- 20:23Speaker 3: all communists. I mean, it's amazing. I mean, I know
- 20:26Speaker 3: it's not 100%, but it must be like some very
- 20:28Speaker 3: high number that are communists and traitors and willing to
- 20:31Speaker 3: sell out the United States. They hate the country. They
- 20:33Speaker 3: hate capitalism. They hate people in private industry. They hate
- 20:37Speaker 3: people like me who are entrepreneurs, who make money. They
- 20:39Speaker 3: hate successful people, many of them. Now, nowadays, it seems
- 20:43Speaker 3: like they all hate Jews for being Jewish. I mean,
- 20:46Speaker 3: it's just crazy how bad the liberal left is. And
- 20:50Speaker 3: it seems like everyone in the government is part of
- 20:51Speaker 3: the liberal left and the deep state and the D.C. swamp.
- 20:54Speaker 3: So when they put ads like that out, it seems
- 20:56Speaker 3: to me there's a high level of probability they're going
- 20:59Speaker 3: to find people who are willing to play ball.
- 21:02Speaker 7: Well, you know the term fishing expedition. This is, from
- 21:05Speaker 7: their side, really a fishing expedition. It's not like you're
- 21:08Speaker 7: looking for a search warrant, anything in the house you
- 21:10Speaker 7: think might be of interest. You have to name it specifically.
- 21:13Speaker 7: Their fishing expedition is going to these people, the kind
- 21:15Speaker 7: you mentioned. Some people leave America and go to Ireland.
- 21:19Speaker 7: Others leave the job because they just don't want to
- 21:21Speaker 7: work for the government or for the president. But most
- 21:23Speaker 7: people who are loyal Americans who have the clearance and
- 21:25Speaker 7: work for the federal government, it's their job to do
- 21:28Speaker 7: their job and also to keep the secrets once they leave.
- 21:31Speaker 7: And I know they find out or they realize that
- 21:33Speaker 7: if they give away secrets, they can be convicted of espionage,
- 21:37Speaker 7: providing someone information covertly or overtly as much as you
- 21:41Speaker 7: can to get whatever money you want. But it's the
- 21:44Speaker 7: only crime mentioned in the U.S. Constitution where it has
- 21:48Speaker 7: a death penalty to go along with it.
- 21:50Speaker 8: That's espionage. And that's what they'd be committing.
- 21:53Speaker 3: All right, so we're talking to Wayne Barnes, 29-year FBI
- 21:56Speaker 3: counterintelligence agent. Now, Wayne, you use the same playbook to
- 22:01Speaker 3: turn sources yourself. In other words, to turn foreign sources
- 22:05Speaker 3: into American spies who are spying on our behalf. Is
- 22:09Speaker 3: that correct?
- 22:10Speaker 7: Hopefully, I'd like to say my efforts were much more
- 22:13Speaker 7: sophisticated than a fishing expedition through LinkedIn.
- 22:16Speaker 3: But you did turn people, but you did turn people
- 22:20Speaker 3: for a living, so you understand how it's done.
- 22:23Speaker 8: Right.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:23Speaker 7: No, we use the term recruit.
- 22:25Speaker 8: You recruit an individual.
- 22:27Speaker 7: And if you have a Soviet during the Cold War,
- 22:30Speaker 7: a KGB officer, and he decides to defect to the West,
- 22:33Speaker 7: and we know that that's the case, maybe he's in
- 22:36Speaker 7: trouble at home, we'd like to find him, befriend him,
- 22:39Speaker 7: recruit him, and understand what his difficulty is. And instead
- 22:43Speaker 7: of having him leave the country and come out as
- 22:45Speaker 7: an open defector, we'd like to turn him around and
- 22:48Speaker 7: send him back.
- 22:49Speaker 8: Or if he's in the Soviet embassy in Washington— We
- 22:51Speaker 8: like to have him.
- 22:52Speaker 7: Just stay in place as long as he can, as
- 22:53Speaker 7: long as it's safe for him.
- 22:55Speaker 8: So that's a recruitment in place.
- 22:57Speaker 7: We'd rather have someone not defect openly if we can
- 22:59Speaker 7: possibly do that. So we have cases where we work
- 23:02Speaker 7: on individuals during the Cold War, during the era of
- 23:06Speaker 7: the Warsaw Pact. We dealt with embassy officials from Romania, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria,
- 23:13Speaker 7: and the effort was to recruit them. And you found someone,
- 23:16Speaker 7: for instance, in the Czech embassy, a man who was
- 23:17Speaker 7: a Czech colonel and charged their intelligence service in the embassy,
- 23:20Speaker 7: but he was also a captain in the KGB, had
- 23:23Speaker 7: that rank. So people in the bloc embassies would know
- 23:26Speaker 7: a lot of what the Soviets were doing besides having
- 23:28Speaker 7: the Soviets as targets.
- 23:30Speaker 8: So the goal is to recruit one of them. And
- 23:32Speaker 8: it isn't much to turn them.
- 23:33Speaker 7: That's more like a criminal term when you're talking about
- 23:36Speaker 7: someone in a gang, you turn them so they work
- 23:38Speaker 7: against their fellow men or their fellow gang members. But
- 23:42Speaker 7: so the terms we use are it's a recruitment in place.
- 23:45Speaker 7: And it's the defectors. And when you hear about the
- 23:47Speaker 7: gymnasts and the rowers, they say, oh, this person defected.
- 23:50Speaker 7: They are asylum seekers. In order to be a defector,
- 23:53Speaker 7: you have to have intelligence information. Whether you had a clearance,
- 23:56Speaker 7: we have to have intelligence data to either to bring
- 23:58Speaker 7: with you or that's in your head when you come out.
- 24:01Speaker 7: So we deal with defectors and intelligence officers.
- 24:04Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:04Speaker 5: So this is a LinkedIn story.
- 24:06Speaker 3: But in addition to LinkedIn, how else is Chinese intelligence
- 24:11Speaker 3: trying to recruit Americans? What other ways are they doing it?
- 24:15Speaker 8: Well, their system is completely different than ours.
- 24:19Speaker 7: A number of years ago, a senior intelligence official in China,
- 24:23Speaker 7: he was making a presentation at some sort of a
- 24:25Speaker 7: meeting where he was wearing an American-style suit. And he
- 24:29Speaker 7: was asked about, how do you get information from the West,
- 24:32Speaker 7: the U.S.
- 24:33Speaker 8: In particular?
- 24:33Speaker 3: And he laughed.
- 24:35Speaker 8: And he said, we have them covered.
- 24:37Speaker 7: Now, if we want to try to cover China, they
- 24:40Speaker 7: have an embassy in Washington, D.C.
- 24:42Speaker 8: They have consulates in various places.
- 24:44Speaker 7: And You could try to recruit an intelligence officer who's
- 24:47Speaker 7: there or any other embassy official, but they have a
- 24:51Speaker 7: much more advantageous situation.
- 24:53Speaker 8: To go against the U.S.
- 24:55Speaker 7: So how many American students are exchange students in China working.
- 24:59Speaker 8: On a Ph.D.? Not many. How many Chinese students are
- 25:03Speaker 8: in the U.S. working on a Ph.D.? I mean, the
- 25:06Speaker 8: number of students are extraordinary.
- 25:08Speaker 7: I have worked some cases involving Saudi, not in counterintelligence,
- 25:13Speaker 7: but I was surprised to learn that there are 18,000
- 25:15Speaker 7: Saudi students in the U.S. That's an astonishing number. And
- 25:20Speaker 7: the Chinese, I'm sure that it's more. So we have
- 25:24Speaker 7: documents which we would consider not classified, something which an
- 25:28Speaker 7: individual wrote a Ph.D. thesis on, whether it's to do
- 25:30Speaker 7: with physics or orbiting of planets or whatever it might be.
- 25:33Speaker 7: In places like the Soviet Union, places like China, those
- 25:36Speaker 7: things are classified. So you can get things which in
- 25:40Speaker 7: their countries would be classified, but not in our country.
- 25:43Speaker 8: So it's enormously open.
- 25:45Speaker 7: But if you have a driver for Nancy Pelosi, if
- 25:47Speaker 7: you have a girlfriend of Congressman Swalwell, if you have
- 25:50Speaker 7: other individuals, they're all over. How many Americans are chauffeurs?
- 25:56Speaker 3: Working in China.
- 25:56Speaker 7: Or an official in China. So they can pepper the
- 25:59Speaker 7: continent off. with all sorts of people at different levels. Now,
- 26:03Speaker 7: if you remember, many people asked about the show The Americans,
- 26:05Speaker 7: which was a Soviet couple on TV and Netflix or
- 26:09Speaker 7: one of those shows, where they were illegals.
- 26:11Speaker 8: That is to say, they were.
- 26:12Speaker 7: Undercover, pretending to be Americans just for the regular jobs.
- 26:15Speaker 7: And the question is, well, they don't have clearances. Well,
- 26:17Speaker 7: what could they do? But they meet people with clearances.
- 26:20Speaker 7: They go to the party of FBI agents who lives
- 26:22Speaker 7: across the street.
- 26:23Speaker 8: They hear what he and his friends have in conversation.
- 26:25Speaker 7: You can learn things, not necessarily with clearances, but about people,
- 26:28Speaker 7: about meetings, about concepts. But coming to the U.S., they
- 26:33Speaker 7: can have people in positions. You know, if you're Nancy
- 26:35Speaker 7: Pelosi's chauffeur, what can you learn? You would be surprised
- 26:39Speaker 7: what you can learn.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Well, how about Dianne Feinstein's chauffeur, right? Wasn't there a
- 26:42Speaker 3: problem with him as well, if I remember correctly, or
- 26:44Speaker 3: chief of staff, something like that?
- 26:45Speaker 7: Yeah, I'd be making a mismatch whether it was Pelosi
- 26:50Speaker 7: versus Feinstein.
- 26:51Speaker 8: But yes, I apologize to whoever it was. But certainly,
- 26:54Speaker 8: that's the same idea. And there's a lot that can
- 26:56Speaker 8: be learned. Plus, if they want, if they have the
- 26:58Speaker 8: technology— They can put, you know, bugs places.
- 27:01Speaker 7: You can have the back window sealed up so that
- 27:04Speaker 7: if they attack you, you can't get from front to back.
- 27:06Speaker 7: You can put a listening device there, so it doesn't
- 27:08Speaker 7: matter whether the window is sealed. You can still have
- 27:09Speaker 7: someone listening. I mean, the espionage back says to be
- 27:12Speaker 7: enormously opportunistic in the U.S.
- 27:14Speaker 8: For these people.
- 27:15Speaker 3: So, Wayne, we're talking here, this entire interview has been
- 27:18Speaker 3: about China, China, China, and all their attempts to stick
- 27:21Speaker 3: spies in the United States. But my director, Pitar, was
- 27:23Speaker 3: just asking me here off to the side, Pitar saying,
- 27:27Speaker 3: ask Wayne about this. Iranian intelligence. They must be sticking
- 27:31Speaker 3: people inside the United States to spy as well in many,
- 27:36Speaker 3: many different ways.
- 27:38Speaker 8: It's not that it's not as sophisticated.
- 27:41Speaker 7: It's much more technology with NSA and other organizations. What
- 27:45Speaker 7: the military has with what they know about Iran is
- 27:48Speaker 7: absolutely extraordinary, plus our allies and the skills and technologies
- 27:52Speaker 7: coming out of Ukraine with their various levels of drones,
- 27:57Speaker 7: boats that are drones now. I don't know what the
- 28:01Speaker 7: status is of counterterrorism and U.S. intelligence against Iran if
- 28:06Speaker 7: they're functioning in the U.S.
- 28:07Speaker 8: Like, we can't easily go there.
- 28:10Speaker 7: We can have people covertly as the CIA or other
- 28:13Speaker 7: intelligence organizations.
- 28:14Speaker 3: But they can easily come here.
- 28:16Speaker 7: They can easily come here, much more easily than we
- 28:18Speaker 7: can go there. It's not that their standards are higher.
- 28:22Speaker 7: You just, you know, look at me. I probably can't
- 28:24Speaker 7: go there and start speaking Farsi and have them accept
- 28:26Speaker 7: the conversation from me. So you have someone who's ethnically
- 28:29Speaker 7: from that country. In this country, your ethnicity hardly makes
- 28:33Speaker 7: a difference in many locations.
- 28:34Speaker 9: Right.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Well, especially like Beverly Hills. It's known as Little Iran now.
- 28:38Speaker 3: It's just Iranians everywhere. And I'm sure 99% of them
- 28:41Speaker 3: are good Iranians who are escaped to this country. Many
- 28:44Speaker 3: of them are Jewish Iranians who ran away from the
- 28:47Speaker 3: Muslim radicalism. But there must be a few that slip
- 28:50Speaker 3: in who are working for the Iranian government and are
- 28:53Speaker 3: here as spies, I'm sure. You recruited the source that
- 28:57Speaker 3: took down Robert Henson, who was a FBI trader. Your book,
- 29:03Speaker 3: A Trader in the FBI, The Hunt for a Russian Mole,
- 29:06Speaker 3: tells that story. Tell us what happened in that story.
- 29:11Speaker 7: I've been assigned to Washington, the Washington field office, for
- 29:14Speaker 7: 18 years. And I had been the security officer for
- 29:18Speaker 7: the field office. I had a record number of hours
- 29:21Speaker 7: of what we call FaceTime, working undercover operations against harder targets,
- 29:25Speaker 7: the Soviets, Romanians, Czechs, Poles, Hungarians, all sorts of people.
- 29:30Speaker 7: I wrote a handbook about working undercover counterintelligence. for the
- 29:34Speaker 7: newer agents coming in to know how to do it.
- 29:35Speaker 7: So I had an awful lot of that experience. And
- 29:38Speaker 7: I debriefed a record, I think, 24 defectors and recruitment simplifies.
- 29:42Speaker 7: So my brain was deeply embedded into that area. And
- 29:45Speaker 7: then I had a daughter who was born with a disability.
- 29:47Speaker 7: And they said, would you need to go to San
- 29:48Speaker 7: Diego where the children's hospital have the best orthopedic surgeons
- 29:51Speaker 7: in the world? So I left all that behind. I
- 29:53Speaker 7: was happy to do it regarding my daughter. But so
- 29:56Speaker 7: I moved to San Diego and I was away from counterintelligence,
- 29:59Speaker 7: working health care fraud and other things. And then one
- 30:02Speaker 7: day I got a call from an old, old friend
- 30:03Speaker 7: from Washington on a Sunday morning. He said, Mike and
- 30:06Speaker 7: Dave and I are coming out on Tuesday. Don't tell
- 30:08Speaker 7: anybody we're coming. And that's a surprise. That's called undercover
- 30:11Speaker 7: of darkness. And the Bureau doesn't do that. But they
- 30:14Speaker 7: came out.
- 30:15Speaker 8: Don't tell your wife. Don't tell the counterintelligence people.
- 30:17Speaker 3: No one.
- 30:18Speaker 7: So I met them on a Tuesday, and they said
- 30:19Speaker 7: right up front, we have a penetration of the FBI.
- 30:22Speaker 7: We have a mole in the FBI working for the KGB.
- 30:26Speaker 7: And at one point, there was a question whether it
- 30:27Speaker 7: was the FBI or the CIA. Well, it turns out, obviously,
- 30:29Speaker 7: it was the FBI. So they said there's a Russian
- 30:32Speaker 7: who we know knows the face of the man he
- 30:34Speaker 7: has seen, the American who's giving secrets to the Russians.
- 30:38Speaker 7: They said he's coming to a film festival in Santa
- 30:40Speaker 7: Monica in two months. They said, we want you to
- 30:42Speaker 7: go to this film festival, create some kind of backstopping cover,
- 30:47Speaker 7: some legend, which would enable you to be there, like
- 30:49Speaker 7: a finance or independent film, something like that. But go
- 30:52Speaker 7: to the film festival, find this man, meet him, befriend him,
- 30:55Speaker 7: recruit him, and then show him photos of a dozen
- 30:57Speaker 7: senior agents who we suspect, one of them.
- 31:00Speaker 8: Might be the mole in the FBI. Now, that's really
- 31:04Speaker 8: your mission impossible.
- 31:05Speaker 7: And when the Soviet was assigned to Washington for four
- 31:08Speaker 7: years during the Cold War, it was almost impossible to
- 31:10Speaker 7: recruit them. So I said, well, gee, how long do
- 31:13Speaker 7: I have to do this? And they said, well, the
- 31:14Speaker 7: festival lasts for eight days. You're laughing with me, right?
- 31:20Speaker 5: Mission Impossible.
- 31:21Speaker 3: There's the movie.
- 31:23Speaker 8: Right.
- 31:23Speaker 7: So Tom Cruise's movies make that point. His obstacles were physical,
- 31:27Speaker 7: jumping out of airplanes and motorcycles off of cliffs.
- 31:30Speaker 8: Mine was psychological.
- 31:31Speaker 7: There were two superpowers, and the Russians believed they belonged
- 31:34Speaker 7: to the best superpower. So why would the guy want
- 31:36Speaker 7: to talk to me? And the answer is he probably wouldn't.
- 31:39Speaker 7: But that is the whole idea of recruiting. Now, I
- 31:42Speaker 7: have a dear friend in John Douglas who was the
- 31:44Speaker 7: original profiler. He invented profiling. He is a mind hunter,
- 31:47Speaker 7: and the Criminal Mind Show was based upon him as well.
- 31:50Speaker 7: He was creating profiles for people. He started with serial murderers.
- 31:55Speaker 7: He went to prisons, interviewed all the serial murderers to
- 31:58Speaker 7: know what their mindset was. At the same time, parallel
- 32:01Speaker 7: to that but not directly connected, we were profiling people
- 32:04Speaker 7: in the various embassies who we wanted to target, and
- 32:07Speaker 7: that was great.
- 32:08Speaker 8: Extremely important. You just can't pitch someone in a bathroom.
- 32:11Speaker 7: You really have to have a lot of knowledge about
- 32:13Speaker 7: the individuals. And in this situation, we had some information
- 32:17Speaker 7: about the man, but the idea is I had to
- 32:19Speaker 7: go to the film festival and find him and then
- 32:21Speaker 7: meet him in a way that he wouldn't think was suspicious.
- 32:24Speaker 7: I mean, in the CIA, they have what they call
- 32:26Speaker 7: a cold bump. You have an embassy reception. You invite
- 32:29Speaker 7: everybody in who wants to come. And someone who came
- 32:32Speaker 7: who was a target of yours, you just back around
- 32:34Speaker 7: and hit them on the sides.
- 32:35Speaker 8: Oh, excuse me. And then you start a conversation. There
- 32:38Speaker 8: couldn't be anything more.
- 32:39Speaker 7: Obvious of someone who's trying to get close to an
- 32:41Speaker 7: interview by having the cold bump.
- 32:43Speaker 8: We had to do that completely the other way around.
- 32:45Speaker 7: We had to find him in a way that would
- 32:47Speaker 7: be unsuspicious to meet him and have him become a
- 32:51Speaker 7: friend and then try to deal with it from there.
- 32:53Speaker 7: But it didn't work in that eight days, but it
- 32:55Speaker 7: did eventually work. He did point out a photo. And
- 32:58Speaker 7: a couple of years later, Robert Hansen was arrested. So
- 33:01Speaker 7: it worked well. But I was retired by then, so
- 33:03Speaker 7: I was out of the intelligence classification loop when that happened.
- 33:07Speaker 3: All right, last thing, and then we'll have to say
- 33:08Speaker 3: goodbye because we're running out of time. But you mentioned
- 33:11Speaker 3: a little earlier, this struck me, you mentioned all the,
- 33:14Speaker 3: you know, how easy it is for China to spy
- 33:16Speaker 3: because there's very few American students in China. But there's
- 33:19Speaker 3: thousands and thousands, tens of thousands of Chinese students in America.
- 33:23Speaker 3: And actually, it's more tens of thousands. Last I heard,
- 33:25Speaker 3: I believe President Trump talked about 600,000 Chinese students in America.
- 33:29Speaker 3: And he said he was going to let them keep
- 33:31Speaker 3: going because the university would go broke without them. And
- 33:35Speaker 3: I'm a very big pro-Trump guy. I'm a friend of
- 33:38Speaker 3: President Trump. He made a point of saying at the
- 33:40Speaker 3: White House, Wainwright never wastes a minute. He introduced me
- 33:42Speaker 3: to the crowd. He said, Wainwright never wastes a minute.
- 33:45Speaker 3: saying negative things about me, and that's what I appreciate
- 33:47Speaker 3: about him. I'll never forget that about you. But I'm
- 33:49Speaker 3: about to say something negative about him. I'm allowed to
- 33:51Speaker 3: disagree with him once in a while. Why would we
- 33:54Speaker 3: let in 600,000 foreign students from China? They're almost likely
- 33:58Speaker 3: to be, almost all of them, if not most of them,
- 34:01Speaker 3: are likely to be enemies, spies working for China, bringing
- 34:05Speaker 3: back information. I don't want to let them in our country.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Don't you think that's a national security risk to let 600,000
- 34:11Speaker 3: Chinese students into America? I can't imagine that they let
- 34:16Speaker 3: them come here without them being recruited to be spies,
- 34:19Speaker 3: every one of them.
- 34:20Speaker 9: Right.
- 34:21Speaker 8: Well, I don't make the rules. It would be different
- 34:23Speaker 8: maybe if I did. But here's the deal.
- 34:25Speaker 7: When they talk about how many Muslims of Islam is
- 34:28Speaker 7: a peaceful language and how many bad Muslims are, what's
- 34:31Speaker 7: the percentage?
- 34:32Speaker 8: And if there's, you know, a.
- 34:34Speaker 7: Billion Muslims in the world, how many of those would
- 34:35Speaker 7: be in the U.S. would not be peaceful Muslims? How
- 34:38Speaker 7: many students could come over here and not be connected
- 34:40Speaker 7: with their services? When we work for Eastern Bloc countries,
- 34:44Speaker 7: not just Russia, but all the other Warsaw Pact, anytime
- 34:47Speaker 7: a student came out, even priests, if they were a
- 34:49Speaker 7: remaining Orthodox priest and you came to be a priest
- 34:52Speaker 7: in a new church in Washington, for instance, you had
- 34:55Speaker 7: to be, if not recruited, you had to be at
- 34:57Speaker 7: least a person who would do their bidding and And
- 35:00Speaker 7: if you came out and you didn't do the bidding,
- 35:01Speaker 7: you got sent back or they punished your family. Your
- 35:04Speaker 7: wife lost her job back there. So it's the same
- 35:07Speaker 7: deal here. The number of Chinese students, they're not all, quote, officers,
- 35:12Speaker 7: not all working for them. But it doesn't matter what
- 35:14Speaker 7: the percentage is. Whatever percentage is, the whole number is
- 35:17Speaker 7: simply enormous.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Right.
- 35:19Speaker 7: And that's really a problem. You can knock it back
- 35:21Speaker 7: to half as many and they would still have that many.
- 35:23Speaker 7: But they do commit espionage. They get secrets that don't
- 35:26Speaker 7: seem to be significant secrets many times. But someone back
- 35:29Speaker 7: there in Beijing is putting all the pieces of the
- 35:32Speaker 7: puzzle together, which greatly concerns me.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:35Speaker 3: And by the way, when you talk about numbers like that,
- 35:37Speaker 3: the number I've heard for years now is when it
- 35:39Speaker 3: comes to Muslims, about 20 percent of all the Muslims
- 35:43Speaker 3: in the world are radicalized and want to kill us
- 35:45Speaker 3: and want to be terrorists. and like it when Americans die,
- 35:48Speaker 3: whether it's 20% or not. I hear that's the number. Well,
- 35:51Speaker 3: there's 2 billion Muslims in the world. So that means
- 35:53Speaker 3: there's 400 million Muslims that want to kill us. That's
- 35:56Speaker 3: a really big number. Even if 80% are not bad people,
- 36:00Speaker 3: that's a huge number, a scary number, right?
- 36:04Speaker 8: That's the problem with an open society. We want to
- 36:06Speaker 8: have the open society.
- 36:07Speaker 7: And you have to figure out how to filter out,
- 36:09Speaker 7: how to keep many out. I just think as a
- 36:11Speaker 7: whole number, there's far too many. But those who come out,
- 36:14Speaker 7: who they want to live in the West. They want
- 36:16Speaker 7: to be honest, decent Americans like these, the World Cup
- 36:19Speaker 7: fans that came from Scotland, Australia, the.
- 36:22Speaker 8: Brits, and anyplace else. They want to be here. They
- 36:25Speaker 8: want to love it here. And that's a big deal.
- 36:27Speaker 7: I just wanted to show you this. This is the book,
- 36:29Speaker 7: A Traitor in the FBI, The Hunt for a Russian Mole.
- 36:32Speaker 7: It came out April 7th on Amazon. It sold out
- 36:35Speaker 7: the first day and was the number one for new
- 36:36Speaker 7: release for the rest of the month. And it's doing
- 36:39Speaker 7: pretty well. But it is that story, how that story ended,
- 36:43Speaker 7: resulting in recruiting an intelligence person from the Soviet Union,
- 36:48Speaker 7: the former Soviet Union. And it turned out to be
- 36:51Speaker 7: a dynamic story. You can write fiction, but this one
- 36:53Speaker 7: was all true. And I'm proud of it.
- 36:55Speaker 3: He's got great stories, a great patriot. He has really
- 36:58Speaker 3: bled for his country. Wayne Barnes, 29-year FBI counterintelligence agent.
- 37:03Speaker 3: His book, a traitor in the FBI, the hunt for
- 37:06Speaker 3: a Russian mole, a fascinating story. It's more fascinating than
- 37:10Speaker 3: even fiction. Real life, very often, more fascinating than fiction,
- 37:14Speaker 3: and Wayne's got the proof. Wayne Barnes, thank you for
- 37:17Speaker 3: hanging with us. My pleasure.
- 37:19Speaker 8: Thank you very much.
- 37:20Speaker 3: All right, the other Wayne. We've got lots of Waynes here.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Waynes are wild.
- 37:23Speaker 8: We'll be right back.
- 37:24Speaker 3: I'm Wayne Allyn Root. This is Warzone Live.
- 37:26Speaker 5: RootForAmerica.com is my website.
- 37:28Speaker 3: You can email me anytime, WayneRoot, at gmail.com. And coming
- 37:31Speaker 3: up in 15 minutes, I'll be a guest on Steve
- 37:34Speaker 3: Baden's show, War Room. Steve Baden's show coming up with
- 37:37Speaker 3: Wayne Allyn Root.
- 37:38Speaker 1: We'll be right back.
- 37:44Speaker 7: We'll be right back.
- 37:49Speaker 3: All right, way down the road, Dan Montano is with me.
- 37:52Speaker 3: He's the CEO of Zichogenesis Medicine, a biotech company developing
- 37:57Speaker 3: medicines to treat Parkinson's, type 2 diabetes, and even heart disease.
- 38:03Speaker 3: And now Zicha has a new breakthrough, exciting to potentially
- 38:07Speaker 3: reverse chronic pain. Dan, tell us about your breakthrough that
- 38:10Speaker 3: could lessen or eliminate the pain for people suffering from neuropathy,
- 38:14Speaker 3: back pain, or migraine headaches.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Very simple.
- 38:18Speaker 10: As we've been dosing people for those other indications, they
- 38:21Speaker 10: keep reporting to us the pain in their feet is gone.
- 38:23Speaker 10: The pain in their back is gone. Their migraines have stopped.
- 38:26Speaker 10: So as we started digging into it more over the
- 38:29Speaker 10: last couple of months, we've discovered that nerve regeneration is
- 38:32Speaker 10: something our molecule can treat. And we're starting to see
- 38:36Speaker 10: people that we dose on Monday and Thursday, their back
- 38:39Speaker 10: pain's gone. Their migraines have stopped. So we're now taking
- 38:42Speaker 10: that to a medical research study here in Las Vegas.
- 38:45Speaker 3: A big one for me would be neuropathy foot pain,
- 38:48Speaker 3: because I have several friends who have lived wonderful lives, successful,
- 38:51Speaker 3: they're CEOs, and they could barely walk anymore because of neuropathy.
- 38:55Speaker 5: What have you done for that?
- 38:57Speaker 10: Well, the people we've dosed for their diabetes have reported
- 39:01Speaker 10: after a week or two that they don't have the
- 39:02Speaker 10: pain anymore. So we're going to run with that and
- 39:06Speaker 10: find out how much of that is true and how
- 39:07Speaker 10: much of that we can repeat.
- 39:09Speaker 5: Amazing. What are your next steps?
- 39:12Speaker 10: Well, we're going to be getting a clearance here in
- 39:14Speaker 10: Las Vegas to do a medical research study. We'll be
- 39:16Speaker 10: doing it primarily for back pain, neuropathy, and headaches, migraine
- 39:21Speaker 10: headaches primarily. We'll have that approval probably in 30 to
- 39:23Speaker 10: 60 days. And start dosing people here in Vegas.
- 39:28Speaker 5: And you're looking for test patients everywhere. and investors, correct?
- 39:32Speaker 10: Same as with the type 2 diabetes. As you know, Wayne,
- 39:35Speaker 10: you guys generate a lot of subjects for us to test,
- 39:40Speaker 10: and you also produce a lot of investors for us.
- 39:42Speaker 10: We're looking for the same. Chronic back pain is everywhere.
- 39:45Speaker 10: People have got it. It's serious everywhere. And we've been
- 39:47Speaker 10: able to alleviate it.
- 39:48Speaker 1: I'm excited.
- 39:49Speaker 10: This could be the biggest thing around.
- 39:51Speaker 5: Dan, why is your approach to treating pain different?
- 39:55Speaker 10: Well, first of all, we don't treat the, we don't treat,
- 39:58Speaker 10: we don't camouflage the pain. We treat the nerve that
- 40:01Speaker 10: is sick. We heal the nerves. With this white paper,
- 40:05Speaker 10: which is on the website, curewar.com, is phenomenal. Everybody should
- 40:11Speaker 10: be downloading that and reading this, like a science fiction
- 40:13Speaker 10: novel on how your nerves regenerate.
- 40:15Speaker 1: That's how we do it. On the nerves.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Dan Montano is the CEO of Zcha Genesis Medicine, the
- 40:23Speaker 3: website cure-war.com, looking for test subjects and investors, cure-war.com.
- 40:31Speaker 11: And we're now en route. What is going on here, brother?
- 40:48Speaker 12: I'm saying right now it's 50-50 whether you even have
- 40:51Speaker 12: this presentation tomorrow night, sir, the way the White House
- 40:54Speaker 12: staff is fighting it.
- 40:56Speaker 8: Your thoughts, sir?
- 40:58Speaker 5: Well, I would use the term Democrats use.
- 41:00Speaker 3: I think Democrats are living on stolen land. in Washington, D.C.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I think it's pretty obvious they stole 2020. It's pretty
- 41:07Speaker 3: obvious they stole both races in Georgia. And I got
- 41:09Speaker 3: to tell you, it's pretty obvious they stole both races
- 41:12Speaker 3: in Arizona. I think it's pretty obvious they've stolen Senate
- 41:15Speaker 3: and House seats. I think it's pretty obvious that the
- 41:19Speaker 3: real example of foreign interference in American elections is not
- 41:23Speaker 3: even China or Serbia or Venezuela or Italy.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Those were all the places I've heard that foreign interference
- 41:30Speaker 5: went on.
- 41:30Speaker 3: I think the real example that's easily provable is illegal
- 41:34Speaker 3: aliens voting in American elections. Democrats, that was their game plan.
- 41:39Speaker 3: That's Cloward Piven. That's Obama's game plan. My college classmates,
- 41:43Speaker 3: supposedly at Columbia University, where we learned Cloward Piven, Steve,
- 41:47Speaker 3: which is you flood the nation with people on welfare
- 41:50Speaker 3: until the economy collapses and the country collapses, and then
- 41:54Speaker 3: you get everyone begging for government to save them, and
- 41:57Speaker 3: then you turn America into a socialist nation. And when
- 41:59Speaker 3: they couldn't get enough Americans to go on welfare to
- 42:02Speaker 3: completely collapse the system, they said, let's open the borders
- 42:06Speaker 3: and let's bring in 50 million foreigners to want cradle
- 42:10Speaker 3: to grave welfare and to give them everything they want
- 42:13Speaker 3: in return for voting Democrat and will change the demographics
- 42:16Speaker 3: of America, the great replacement, and will turn America into
- 42:19Speaker 3: a socialist nation filled with foreign invaders who vote in
- 42:23Speaker 3: American elections. That's the real low-hanging fruit of this national
- 42:28Speaker 3: security emergency for elections that President Trump should be, and
- 42:32Speaker 3: I think will be, calling in the next month.
- 42:34Speaker 5: I don't think he's going to call it on Thursday night.
- 42:37Speaker 3: I think he's going to lay out a case of
- 42:39Speaker 3: stolen elections, and he's going to lay out the case
- 42:41Speaker 3: why he's going to call a national security emergency for elections.
- 42:46Speaker 3: And I think he'll declare it in the next month
- 42:48Speaker 3: by the mid to late August or the first week
- 42:50Speaker 3: of September, something like that. But it's illegal aliens voting
- 42:54Speaker 3: on American soil and putting Democrats into stolen positions.
- 42:59Speaker 5: In the U.S. Senate and the U.S.
- 43:00Speaker 3: House, even more important than the 2020 election. Democrats are
- 43:04Speaker 3: living on stolen land. Quote Wayne Root.
- 43:08Speaker 12: Wayne, the evidence will be so compelling that people like
- 43:14Speaker 12: Tom Tillis and John Cornyn will demand of Thune that
- 43:20Speaker 12: we immediately take up the Save America Act and do
- 43:22Speaker 12: the standing filibuster and pass it. So your executive order.
- 43:27Speaker 11: Is going to be OBE, right?
- 43:28Speaker 12: Because seriously, you saw Cornyn was interviewed by Steve Gruber.
- 43:32Speaker 12: Cornyn is going to go to Thune and say we
- 43:34Speaker 12: must immediately call the Senate back We must pass the
- 43:37Speaker 12: Save America Act. We have to do the standing filibuster.
- 43:40Speaker 12: Anything we're going to have to do. Is my reasoning correct, sir?
- 43:44Speaker 3: Yeah, you're being very funny, Steve.
- 43:46Speaker 5: I understand the humor in it.
- 43:47Speaker 3: It's not going to happen for those guys.
- 43:49Speaker 5: Look, we've had Jeff Sessions. We've had Bill Barr. You've
- 43:52Speaker 5: got the Cornins.
- 43:53Speaker 3: You've got the horrible Mitch McConnells. You've got all these
- 43:59Speaker 3: people that are in the perfect place. to always stop us.
- 44:02Speaker 3: You know, I thought the most significant thing I've heard
- 44:05Speaker 3: in a long time was when Tom Tillis said, maybe
- 44:08Speaker 3: this was two months ago, whoever the new AG is,
- 44:11Speaker 3: he's going to have to sit in front of me
- 44:13Speaker 3: and admit that January 6th was like an insurrection and
- 44:17Speaker 3: an overthrow of the government and the January Sixers deserve
- 44:20Speaker 3: to be in jail.
- 44:21Speaker 5: That's coming from a Republican senator.
- 44:24Speaker 3: There are, in my opinion, traitors, backstabbers, all amongst us
- 44:29Speaker 3: on the Republican side who are put in place by
- 44:32Speaker 3: the deep state, by the DC swamp to make sure
- 44:35Speaker 3: we never get the right people in office around president Trump.
- 44:39Speaker 3: So we can never, ever carry out what you and
- 44:42Speaker 3: I know needs to be done. which is clean all
- 44:44Speaker 3: the communists out of government, clean the deep state out
- 44:46Speaker 3: of government, clean them out of the military, clean them
- 44:49Speaker 3: out of every aspect of American government.
- 44:51Speaker 5: And we never quite do it because there's always.
- 44:54Speaker 3: A Tom Tillis, a Republican churn coat backstabber owned by
- 44:59Speaker 3: the deep state standing in the way. And it's really
- 45:01Speaker 3: after a while it gets sickening, you know, and I
- 45:04Speaker 3: got to tell you something, Steve, I don't know where
- 45:05Speaker 3: you stand on this one. I'm going out of limb.
- 45:07Speaker 3: I don't even know where you stand. You may disagree
- 45:09Speaker 3: with me.
- 45:10Speaker 9: But when Lindsey Graham died, I got to tell you,
- 45:12Speaker 9: does Lindsey Graham's sister deserve to be a United States senator?
- 45:17Speaker 3: I got a problem with that.
- 45:18Speaker 5: I know she got sworn in today or getting sworn
- 45:20Speaker 5: in today.
- 45:21Speaker 3: I got a problem with that. What's her qualification for
- 45:24Speaker 3: being a U.S.
- 45:25Speaker 5: Senator?
- 45:25Speaker 3: Is she on our team? I have no idea what
- 45:27Speaker 3: she stands for. She's never been in office. She's never
- 45:30Speaker 3: run for office. I have no idea if she's really
- 45:33Speaker 3: a MAGA conservative and she's going to do a good
- 45:36Speaker 3: job at least the next few months and carry on
- 45:39Speaker 3: for the MAGA agenda. Do you know that? I don't
- 45:41Speaker 3: know why she deserves to be a U.S. senator.
- 45:44Speaker 5: I have no idea.
- 45:45Speaker 12: It's a critical question, given the fact that we're down
- 45:48Speaker 12: just a vote or two. Let me ask you, because
- 45:50Speaker 12: I want to make sure I get this for a
- 45:51Speaker 12: run out of time. Your theory is obviously the Senate's
- 45:54Speaker 12: not going to do anything. They're treating President Trump like
- 45:56Speaker 12: a lame duck.
- 45:57Speaker 4: Correct.
- 45:57Speaker 8: So therefore.
- 45:58Speaker 12: You believe the predicate will be laid out tomorrow and
- 46:01Speaker 12: in future rollouts that by mid-August to late August, maybe
- 46:06Speaker 12: early September, enough information will be there that President Trump
- 46:11Speaker 12: as commander in chief will declare a national security emergency
- 46:15Speaker 12: around the security of voting.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Is that your theory? That's correct, and I wanna make
- 46:20Speaker 3: it very clear to everybody, because sometimes people don't understand
- 46:22Speaker 3: what I'm saying. This is not an EO. This is
- 46:25Speaker 3: not an executive order. This is a very different thing
- 46:28Speaker 3: than an executive order. A national security emergency is not
- 46:31Speaker 3: the same as an executive order. An executive order can
- 46:34Speaker 3: be taken to court. It could be challenged in court.
- 46:37Speaker 3: You have to go through the courts, each appeals process.
- 46:40Speaker 3: That takes a long time. And then it has to
- 46:42Speaker 3: go before the Supreme Court eventually. And by the way,
- 46:44Speaker 3: after the rulings on birthright citizenship and counting ballots long
- 46:48Speaker 3: after election day is over, I don't know if you
- 46:51Speaker 3: could even count on the Supreme Court ever again to
- 46:53Speaker 3: be on our side on something like of the Save
- 46:56Speaker 3: America Act. So that's why I tried to come up
- 46:58Speaker 3: with something, Steve, that's better than the Save America Act.
- 47:01Speaker 3: It's a Save America Act on steroids. It's a national
- 47:05Speaker 3: security emergency declaration for elections like the one I.
- 47:09Speaker 5: Proposed that Trump adopted in 2019. national security election.
- 47:13Speaker 3: For the border, where he was able to bypass Congress,
- 47:16Speaker 3: use the money for the Pentagon budget to build the wall,
- 47:19Speaker 3: secure our border. Democrats never sued because they realized that
- 47:22Speaker 3: in 1983, the Supreme Court ruled very clearly that you
- 47:26Speaker 3: cannot take a national security emergency to court and win
- 47:31Speaker 3: in the courts. You've got to get a two-thirds vote
- 47:33Speaker 3: in both houses of Congress to overcome a national security emergency.
- 47:37Speaker 3: So I'm trying to give an option here that I
- 47:39Speaker 3: believe is a much better option than a Save America Act.
- 47:44Speaker 3: I love the Save America Act, but it doesn't deal
- 47:46Speaker 3: with machines or paper ballots, by the way.
- 47:49Speaker 5: And most importantly, it's never going to pass. It will
- 47:51Speaker 5: not pass.
- 47:52Speaker 3: And if it does pass, it will never be in
- 47:54Speaker 3: effect because of legal challenges in time for the midterms.
- 47:58Speaker 5: My idea, national.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Security emergency could actually be in effect for the midterms,
- 48:03Speaker 3: and Democrats cannot stop it. So I'm trying to get
- 48:06Speaker 3: us some ammunition here to win the midterms, and I
- 48:09Speaker 3: think this does it.
- 48:11Speaker 12: And your belief is, after tomorrow night, and there are
- 48:13Speaker 12: going to be other revelations coming forward in the next
- 48:16Speaker 12: couple of weeks, that by the time we get to mid-August,
- 48:19Speaker 12: a predicate will be laid that the president, then his commander-in-chief,
- 48:23Speaker 12: can declare a national security emergency and have all these
- 48:26Speaker 12: details in there about what the predicate is, why he's
- 48:29Speaker 12: doing it, and what the immediate solutions he's going to
- 48:32Speaker 12: implement to make sure that the 2026 elections are free
- 48:35Speaker 12: and fair, correct?
- 48:36Speaker 5: Correct.
- 48:37Speaker 3: And you know one question I've never really heard a
- 48:39Speaker 3: lot of people ask? I'm going to ask it right
- 48:41Speaker 3: now on Steve's show. I hope the whole world hears
- 48:43Speaker 3: me ask it. Who gave the order in 2020? for
- 48:47Speaker 3: five states to shut down the counting of the votes.
- 48:50Speaker 3: How come nobody ever asked that in front of Tom
- 48:53Speaker 3: Tillis and John Cornyn and all these turncoats?
- 48:57Speaker 5: Isn't the president of the United.
- 48:58Speaker 3: States, Trump was the president, he didn't give the order,
- 49:00Speaker 3: he didn't say shut down the vote. Who decided for
- 49:03Speaker 3: the first time in America's history to stop counting votes
- 49:07Speaker 3: at midnight with Trump winning by hundreds of thousands of
- 49:10Speaker 3: votes in those five states and then we woke up
- 49:13Speaker 3: in the morning, in the middle of the night they
- 49:14Speaker 3: decided to restart the count and suddenly Trump was behind
- 49:18Speaker 3: and they did it with no witnesses in the room.
- 49:20Speaker 5: And you think I'm so stupid.
- 49:22Speaker 3: I may have been bored yesterday, Steve, but I wasn't
- 49:24Speaker 3: bored in the last five minutes that I would believe
- 49:27Speaker 3: that that is a fair election that wasn't stolen. For
- 49:30Speaker 3: the first time in history, they stopped counting with our
- 49:34Speaker 3: guy way ahead and was about to win a legislative,
- 49:37Speaker 3: excuse me, an electoral landslide. And then in the middle
- 49:40Speaker 3: of the night, they started counting again. No witnesses in
- 49:43Speaker 3: the room. And suddenly all the votes came in for
- 49:46Speaker 3: the other side.
- 49:47Speaker 5: And suddenly Trump was behind.
- 49:48Speaker 3: And you expect me to believe that. No problem.
- 49:52Speaker 12: They shut it down and said, we're going to reconvene
- 49:54Speaker 12: at like six or seven in the morning. Of course,
- 49:56Speaker 12: at two or three, they started recounting. By six or seven,
- 50:00Speaker 12: they're up. It's just, you know, it's just one of
- 50:02Speaker 12: those things, Wayne. You just got accepted. Wayne, where do
- 50:04Speaker 12: people go to get your show? You're going to be
- 50:07Speaker 12: on with us tomorrow night. Where do people go to
- 50:09Speaker 12: get your show? Where do they go to get all
- 50:10Speaker 12: your content, particularly all the articles and writings you've been
- 50:14Speaker 12: doing about this national security emergency, sir?
- 50:17Speaker 5: Yeah, my website's rootforamerica.com.
- 50:19Speaker 3: I'm Wayne Root.
- 50:20Speaker 5: I root for America all day.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Rootforamerica.com.
- 50:23Speaker 5: It's got all my TV shows, all my podcasts.
- 50:25Speaker 3: I've got two shows on Rav, and one of them
- 50:28Speaker 3: is actually on Rav's YouTube channel following your show right now.
- 50:32Speaker 3: It's on at 6 o'clock Eastern, 3 o'clock. I start
- 50:34Speaker 3: it in 15 minutes. And it's a call-in show. So
- 50:37Speaker 3: it's 1-800-347-ROOT. Call me.
- 50:40Speaker 5: I'd love to talk to you. I talk to everybody
- 50:42Speaker 5: who calls. 1-800-347-ROOT.
- 50:45Speaker 3: RootForAmerica.com or email me. WayneRoot at gmail.com.
- 50:49Speaker 5: Thank you, Steve. Love you and appreciate everything you do.
- 50:52Speaker 11: Love you too, brother. And we will see you tomorrow night.
- 50:54Speaker 11: Wayne Allen Root.
- 50:55Speaker 5: You got it.
- 50:55Speaker 1: War.
- 51:22Speaker 3: All right. Wayne Allen Root from Las Vegas, the city
- 51:25Speaker 3: that's growing with rich people. I don't think it's growing
- 51:29Speaker 3: with everyone, but I think it's growing with rich people.
- 51:31Speaker 3: I know. I live in Summerlin. It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable.
- 51:34Speaker 3: You know what makes us different than every other city
- 51:36Speaker 3: in the United States? Los Angeles has almost no gated communities,
- 51:40Speaker 3: almost zero. Like in the whole Los Angeles, there might
- 51:43Speaker 3: be like three gated communities, if that. And those are
- 51:46Speaker 3: all with $ 100 million houses at the top of Beverly Hills.
- 51:49Speaker 3: Magic Johnson lives up there. Movie company heads live up there.
- 51:54Speaker 3: The head of Warner Brothers lives up there. The head
- 51:56Speaker 3: of Paramount lives up there. These are $ 100 million homes.
- 51:59Speaker 3: That's the only gated communities. But in Las Vegas— Everything
- 52:02Speaker 3: in Summerlin is a gated community. Almost everybody in Summerlin
- 52:05Speaker 3: lives with a gate. You can't get in without the gate.
- 52:08Speaker 3: And behind those gates are million-dollar houses, not $ 10 million,
- 52:11Speaker 3: $ 20 million, $ 50 million, $ 100 million, just million-dollar houses, $ 1. 2 million, $ 1. 5 million,
- 52:16Speaker 3: $ 2 million, and in some cases $ 10 and $ 20 million houses.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Everyone lives behind gates, and therefore there's no robberies, therefore
- 52:23Speaker 3: there's no carjackings, therefore there's no home invasions. It's a
- 52:26Speaker 3: great way to live. I love living in a gated
- 52:28Speaker 3: community in Summerlin. Sponsor of this segment of the show,
- 52:32Speaker 3: Tangible Investments. That's how you get a gated community. That's
- 52:35Speaker 3: how you afford a gated community.
- 52:37Speaker 1: You've got to own gold.
- 52:38Speaker 3: How important is it to own gold? China's central bank
- 52:40Speaker 3: just increased their gold reserves for the 19th consecutive month.
- 52:44Speaker 3: China's prepared for what's coming. Are you? And I don't
- 52:47Speaker 3: make too many predictions about gold. I'll make one right now.
- 52:50Speaker 3: China will buy all-time record for the 20th consecutive month,
- 52:53Speaker 3: and then the 21st, and then the 22nd. China knows
- 52:57Speaker 3: that they're going to cause some bad times and probably
- 52:59Speaker 3: World War III is coming and probably civil war is
- 53:01Speaker 3: coming in America. They're going to instigate it. They're going
- 53:04Speaker 3: to cause it. They're going to really cause us a
- 53:06Speaker 3: lot of problems. You've got to be prepared. They are.
- 53:10Speaker 3: But just buying gold is not enough. You need to
- 53:12Speaker 3: buy gold at the right price. This is where buyers
- 53:14Speaker 3: get misled. Other gold companies say we charge only 1%
- 53:18Speaker 3: over cost. That means nothing. Whose cost are they talking about?
- 53:23Speaker 3: The real question you need to ask is, What are
- 53:26Speaker 3: you charging me over spot price? Which you can look
- 53:29Speaker 3: up online at 100 different gold sites. Then compare the
- 53:33Speaker 3: answer to Tangible Investments. These guys charge 1% over spot
- 53:37Speaker 3: for gold. Unheard of. No one's ever done something like that.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Tangible's been in business for more than 40 years. They've
- 53:42Speaker 3: handled more than $ 2 billion in transactions involving precious metals.
- 53:47Speaker 3: And their team brings over 200 combined years of experience.
- 53:50Speaker 3: They offer gold bullion 1% over spot, silver 1%. as
- 53:53Speaker 3: low as 3% over spot. Unheard of. If you want gold, silver,
- 53:57Speaker 3: precious metals, or rare coins from a real firm with
- 54:00Speaker 3: real credibility and honest pricing, call Tangible Investments right now, 888-330-4351, 888.
- 54:04Speaker 3: So it's toll free, 888-330-4351. Or go to the website
- 54:06Speaker 3: that they created just for my fans, rootforgold.com. Rootforgold.com, I
- 54:09Speaker 3: love that name, rootforgold.com. and tell them Wayne Root sent you,
- 54:23Speaker 3: they'll roll out the red carpet, you'll be a VIP,
- 54:25Speaker 3: and you'll get gold at 1% over spot, silver at
- 54:28Speaker 3: 3% over spot, rootforgold.com. All right, Alan Dershowitz is with us,
- 54:32Speaker 3: one of the greatest lawyers in American history, some would
- 54:35Speaker 3: argue the greatest, professor emeritus at Harvard Law School, best-selling author,
- 54:40Speaker 3: and his newest book, I love this title, Founding Fathers
- 54:44Speaker 3: and One Jewish Mother. I love that, love that.
- 54:47Speaker 5: Alan, welcome to the show.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Well, thanks.
- 54:50Speaker 2: I wrote this book for the 250th anniversary of America.
- 54:53Speaker 2: I own a lot of the documents of liberty, original copies.
- 54:57Speaker 2: I have letters of Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, George Washington.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I have an early copy of the Declaration, the Constitution.
- 55:06Speaker 2: And I put them all together in a book glorifying
- 55:09Speaker 2: the establishment of America. And then I also own the
- 55:12Speaker 2: documents of establishing Israel. The one Jewish mother, of course,
- 55:16Speaker 2: is Golda Meir.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Golda Meir, yeah.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Like David Ben-Gurion and Theodor Herzl.
- 55:21Speaker 2: And the similarity between the founding of these two countries
- 55:25Speaker 2: is absolutely remarkable. Thomas Jefferson is David Ben-Gurion. They both
- 55:31Speaker 2: wanted to have agrarian countries. Alexander Hamilton is Benjamin Netanyahu.
- 55:36Speaker 2: They wanted to have international commercial companies. We both had
- 55:40Speaker 2: problems with native population, the Palestinians, the Native Americans, the African-Americans,
- 55:45Speaker 2: so many similarities. And I bring them together in this
- 55:49Speaker 2: book you can get on Amazon right now. So if
- 55:52Speaker 2: you're in a July 4th spirit, even though we're beyond
- 55:54Speaker 2: that a week, you know, get this book.
- 55:56Speaker 1: I think you'll enjoy it.
- 55:58Speaker 3: And by the way, I want to mention something I
- 55:59Speaker 3: talk about all the time on my shows. The pirates,
- 56:03Speaker 3: the Muslim pirates are Of Tripoli, that's how the Marines
- 56:07Speaker 3: got formed, under Thomas Jefferson, who was the most anti-war
- 56:11Speaker 3: president in the history of America, the most libertarian anti-war
- 56:15Speaker 3: guy who said, I don't want any foreign entanglements. The
- 56:18Speaker 3: entire eight years of his presidency, we were fighting the
- 56:21Speaker 3: pirates who were all Muslim, who were capturing our sailors
- 56:25Speaker 3: and enslaving them and killing them. And so that hasn't
- 56:29Speaker 3: changed either. I mean, you talked about the problems we
- 56:31Speaker 3: had with Indians, Native Indians. The problems we've had with
- 56:35Speaker 3: Muslims began from the first day of the founding of America.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Well, from the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.
- 56:45Speaker 2: And the shores of Tripoli were obviously the problems that
- 56:49Speaker 2: we had with Muslims who didn't think Americans had the
- 56:54Speaker 2: right to be in the Mediterranean.
- 56:56Speaker 1: And they would go and they would kidnap. And, you know,
- 56:59Speaker 1: the Americans— Enslave.
- 57:00Speaker 3: And enslave our sailors.
- 57:03Speaker 1: And they beat them.
- 57:04Speaker 2: You know, we've had— both America and Israel have had enemies
- 57:07Speaker 2: from the very beginning, but they've emerged as the strongest nations. America,
- 57:12Speaker 2: the strongest in the world. Israel, the strongest in the
- 57:15Speaker 2: Middle East, although they're always fighting for their survival. with
- 57:19Speaker 2: the Iranians and the Turks and who knows what else.
- 57:22Speaker 2: But they both managed to survive and maintain democracy.
- 57:26Speaker 1: That's the key.
- 57:27Speaker 2: They're both democratic countries with equal rights for all. And
- 57:31Speaker 2: that's rare, certainly rare in the Middle East. Israel is
- 57:34Speaker 2: the only country that's a democracy in the Middle East.
- 57:36Speaker 2: And America is the strongest democracy in the world.
- 57:40Speaker 3: I doubt I can ever catch you on anything because
- 57:42Speaker 3: you're a very learned man filled with wisdom. But I
- 57:45Speaker 3: want to make sure you know that America would not
- 57:47Speaker 3: be here today if it weren't for the American Revolution.
- 57:51Speaker 3: And the American Revolution would not have been won if
- 57:53Speaker 3: it were not for a Jew. Very few people in
- 57:56Speaker 3: America know that, that one Jew, I think his name
- 57:58Speaker 3: was Chaim Solomon, something like that, funded the entire American Revolution.
- 58:04Speaker 2: He gave money to George Washington, didn't charge a penny interest,
- 58:09Speaker 2: in order to fund the revolution.
- 58:11Speaker 1: He loved America. He came from Europe, settled. He was
- 58:15Speaker 1: an immigrant. And he loved America. And he helped finance
- 58:18Speaker 1: the revolution.
- 58:20Speaker 2: And the Continental Congress acknowledged that and how important it was. And,
- 58:27Speaker 2: you know, Jews died in the revolution. Jews died in
- 58:30Speaker 2: the Civil War. There's a lot of Jewish blood that
- 58:34Speaker 2: has been spilled for America. And we're so proud of
- 58:38Speaker 2: Jews' contribution as well as the contribution of everybody else.
- 58:41Speaker 1: So many people, so many people gave.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Their lives to support America, starting, you know, even before
- 58:48Speaker 2: the revolution and going until tragically not many years ago
- 58:54Speaker 2: when Iranians killed American Marines in the barracks and blew
- 58:58Speaker 2: up American ships.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Military installations.
- 59:03Speaker 3: Beirut, yeah. So, let me ask you a question. I
- 59:10Speaker 3: hear sometimes some of the Muslim politicians in America and
- 59:13Speaker 3: some of the liberal Democrats claiming that America had Muslims
- 59:17Speaker 3: from the very first day, and I think that's a
- 59:19Speaker 3: complete lie. To your knowledge, I know there were Jews
- 59:23Speaker 3: from the first day and there were Christians from the
- 59:24Speaker 3: first day. I don't believe there were ever any Muslims
- 59:27Speaker 3: from from the first day in the history of America.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Are you aware of any?
- 59:31Speaker 1: I've never heard of it at all.
- 59:33Speaker 2: I know that there were some Muslims who were deeply
- 59:36Speaker 2: involved in the African slave trade. Many of the traders
- 59:41Speaker 2: who were in Africa were Muslims, but I'm not aware.
- 59:44Speaker 2: There could be, but I'm simply not aware of any
- 59:48Speaker 2: identified Muslims early in American history. Look, you know, we
- 59:52Speaker 2: had clashes in American history. Adams and Jefferson were both anti-Catholic.
- 59:58Speaker 2: They thought that the popes would try to come to
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: America and turn America into a theocracy. And you read
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: some of their letters, and they're bigoted against Catholics. But
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: George Washington— in his famous letter, said that we will
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: not tolerate bigotry. He was the first head of any
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: country to give completely equal rights to Jews, to Catholics,
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: and if there were Muslims, they would have had equal
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: rights as well.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Our country was founded on.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Religious freedom, religious dissent, political freedom, political dissent, and they've
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: continued that tradition until today.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Now the American left is trying to destroy it.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: They're trying to create a kind of political theocracy where.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: If you don't agree with them, you're not allowed in.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: For example, the Democratic Socialists of America won't allow you
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: to join their party unless you're prepared to say that
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Israel shouldn't exist.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi yesterday. Nancy Pelosi.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Voting to deny Israel military aid, not only necessary for
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Israel's survival, but that so benefits the United States. Israel
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: helped develop the Iron Dome, so many other things. Israel's
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: military capacity helps America. And despicably, some Democrats, including some very,
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: very prominent Democrats, or against any aid and even any
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: military exchanges, because, you know, the aid that Israel gets
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: comes right back to America. Every penny Israel gets has
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: to be spent. in America, on American, on Boeing, on
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: General Dynamics, on you name it. But they have to
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: reinvest it back in America. And so America benefits. Americans
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: are employed because of aid to Israel. So it hurts
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: us Americans if we would cut back on military aid essential,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: not only to Israel, but to the survival of America's
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: allies in the Middle East.
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: It's interesting that you.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Brought that up, Alan. We're talking to Alan Dershowitz, one
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: of the great alerted lawyers in the history of this
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: country and maybe in the world and a good friend
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: of the show and a good friend of Wayne Root.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: I love Alan. And I must say, Alan, that I
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: was kind of anti the Ukraine war, the funding of
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: the Ukraine war. And the reason wasn't because I had
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: anything against Ukraine. It was that I always believed that
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: the money was being stolen. Most of the money we
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: gave them, I believed, and I think now it's been
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: proven I was right. A lot of it was stolen
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: by Zelensky, by his generals, by the mafia there, by
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: the Nazis there. The money was given out, and it
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: wasn't used for the war. And yet with all the
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: hatred in America for Jews, and let's face it, it's
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: ripe now. It's everywhere, the hatred for Jews and the
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: hatred for Israel. I've never heard one person ever say,
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: even the enemies of Israel, have never tried to say
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: that one penny has ever been stolen, the aid that
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: we give Israel. Ukraine, they may have stolen the money,
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: but in Israel, nobody stole the money. They use it
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: to survive and fight our enemies and their enemies. Am
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: I on the money with that?
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: Every penny is accounted for because it must be reinvested
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: in the United States. and it must employ Americans working
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: in America at American military factories, which produce the planes
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: that are then sent to Israel to help Israel with
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: the United States destroy enemy targets in Iran. You look
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: at the way Israel and America together with the F-35s
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: and the B-2s together went in and destroyed some of
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: the Iran military capacities.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: That's where American aid to Israel goes.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: And Netanyahu has said, look, he wants to pull back
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: a little bit on American aid. He wants Israel to
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: become self-reliant and independent. And so the people who say
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: we're anti-Israel because he gets too much money from Israel
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: are no longer going to be able to have that excuse. Look, anti-Zionism,
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: for the most part, is a disguise for anti-Semitism. only
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Jewish state in the world, and you don't complain about Sudan,
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: you don't complain about China, you don't even complain.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: About Russia in Ukraine, if you only.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Complain about the nation-state Jewish people, you're an anti-Semite. You're
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: an international anti-Semite. Instead of saying, you're a Jew, I
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: don't like you, you're saying, you're a Jewish country, we
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: don't like you.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: Well, that's, I think, where they got this whole genocide
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: thing from, which makes me so angry every time I
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: hear it. Every country in the world that gets attacked
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: hits back hard. When they attacked Pearl Harbor, we bombed
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: Japan till there was nothing left. Then we dropped two
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: atomic bombs on them, on their civilian population. We firebombed
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: Germany till there was nothing left. And we killed so
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: many civilians. Because that's Cold War, and that's how you
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: win a war. When someone attacks you, you have to
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: attack back. Well, Israel does it, and the whole world's
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: up in arms. Oh, my God, it's genocide. Israel hasn't
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: done anything in Gaza that hasn't been done by America
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: to our enemies and every other country in the world
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: to their enemies.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: And the ratio of innocent people to combatants is lower
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: in Israel than in any country in the world. People
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: don't realize, even on D-Day, when American soldiers, young kids,
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: sacrificed their lives to go to Europe and free the
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: European countries, many French citizens, civilians, were killed in the war.
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: Killed?
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Because they were in the way. That's war is about.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: Collateral damage, killing of innocent civilians, when the American soldiers,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: if you saw Band of Brothers, great television show.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: Right, great show.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: When Americans went to a home or a store on
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: the way to Berlin, and they would go into the
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: store and knock, they would get killed. So what they
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: did is they blew up the house, and they blew
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: up the store, and inevitably there would be some civilian casualties. America,
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: like Israel, tries desperately to lower the number of civilian casualties,
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: unlike the Palestinians' leadership, which wants to maximize casualties. both
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Israeli casualties and Palestinian casualties, so they can claim falsely
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: that Israel involved in genocide.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: Human shields. They've got human shields, and we've never done
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: that in history. The United States or Israel put civilians
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: purposely in the way so they'll get killed, and you
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: could claim, oh, my gosh, the other guy's the bad guy.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: They're evil. All right, Alan, I could talk to you
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: for hours, and I would, except in about five minutes,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: I'm on Steve Bannon's show. So I've got to cut
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: my podcast a few minutes short.
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: I will.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: I will. I'll say hi to him for you. Last question,
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: real quick. You changed the Republican Party. You said for
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: the first time since 1959, you're no longer a Democrat.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Now you're a Republican. I assume that has stuck, and
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: you still agree with that, yes?
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I agree with it. I wrote a book about it.
