- 0:01Luke chapter 6 Let us pray. Heavenly Father, you are
- 0:11exalted. Lord, you are lifted up high
- 0:16above every entity, everything, every thought.
- 0:22God, you are the highest and most loftiest idea in
- 0:28literature. You are above all of our
- 0:35feelings and emotions. You are above every single
- 0:40ruler, king. You are above all government.
- 0:46You are above all of our wants and cares and desires.
- 0:52You are high and lifted up above every single man, woman, child,
- 0:59beast, all of the landscape, every planet.
- 1:05God, you are high and you are lifted up above it all.
- 1:11You are the King of the universe.
- 1:14You are the ruler of our hearts. You are the greatest and
- 1:21mightiest God, Elohim. You are the great I am, and
- 1:29Father, we worship you today in spirit and truth.
- 1:33Father, we come to you and ask that you will purify us and
- 1:38purge all the dross out Father. Purge all of the iniquities out.
- 1:44Father, pull anything out that does not belong.
- 1:49God, I pray in the name of Jesus the Holy Spirit that you will
- 1:53highlight that you will magnify anything within us does that
- 1:58does not belong anything within us that is holding us back from
- 2:02you. God Almighty, I pray in the name
- 2:05of Jesus, you cut out the cancer.
- 2:07Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will put a
- 2:11spotlight on anything in our lives that we are holding on to
- 2:16that is keeping us from experiencing the fullness that
- 2:19you have for us today. Father, in the name of Jesus,
- 2:22come in Holy Spirit and fill us today, overflowing into the
- 2:27communities, God into our families, God, into our hearts
- 2:33and minds, and let us speak the truth over our circumstances.
- 2:38Father, let us speak the truth over our health.
- 2:41Let us speak the truth over all of the negative pulls in our
- 2:47lives. God, I pray against distraction.
- 2:50God, I pray against the delusion.
- 2:53God, I pray against anything that is trying to rear its ugly
- 2:58head above you. And so, Lord, we put you in your
- 3:03rightful place on the throne of our hearts.
- 3:05God and Lord, we ask that you will give us a sound mind.
- 3:10God, give us the mind of Christ. God, take us to new depths of
- 3:14your love. God, take us to new heights of
- 3:17your wisdom. Lord, give us more of you, give
- 3:21us more of Christ. Lord, we just want to know
- 3:25Christ and Christ crucified. And as we open up your holy Word
- 3:30today, as we open up the Scriptures today, I pray in the
- 3:34name of Jesus that you will give us a greater understanding of
- 3:39your words, of the full counsel of you, the knowledge of Jesus
- 3:46Christ. Lord, we just want to be where
- 3:49you are. And God, I pray you'll fill us
- 3:52today. Overflowing.
- 3:53You will give us more. God, we just want to see you, to
- 3:59see you rightly, to see you high and lift it up over this world
- 4:03to take your rightful place as the ruler over the earth.
- 4:08God, we pray that your Kingdom comes and your will is done
- 4:12right here on this earth, just as it is there in heaven.
- 4:14God, thank you for the daily bread of your word today.
- 4:18Let us devour it. God, let us drink deeply and be
- 4:22satisfied. Father, I pray against all
- 4:26deception. God, I pray against any of the
- 4:31darkness. God, I push against it.
- 4:34In the name of Jesus, let light flood in.
- 4:37God, in the name of Jesus, I pray that many people will be
- 4:41rescued out of bondage today. Let today be the day of
- 4:44salvation. Father, we love you.
- 4:46King Jesus, we love everything about you.
- 4:49King Jesus, you are our everything we laid down today.
- 4:55God, we laid down all of our presuppositions of how we think
- 4:58that this world should go. We laid down all of our cares,
- 5:02Lord, we laid down all of our wants and desires and God, we
- 5:06just take up our marching orders from you and we want to do what
- 5:11it is that you want us to do today.
- 5:13God Almighty, we love you and it's in Jesus holy and precious
- 5:17name that I pray, Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 5:28And it came to pass on the second Sabbath after the first,
- 5:34that he went through the cornfields, and his disciples
- 5:38plucked the ears of corn and did eat, rubbing them in their
- 5:44hands. What's He talking about here in
- 5:47verse one? Well, we know that this was on a
- 5:51Sabbath. We know that the religious folk
- 5:55of the day had created all kinds of bylaws on top of their laws
- 6:00to protect the original law from being broken.
- 6:04And it was like these bumpers that are attached that would
- 6:08keep you from getting to the center.
- 6:11And here they were watching Jesus's disciples to see what
- 6:16they were up to. And they saw them meticulously.
- 6:21They were watching and they saw them grabbing some of this food
- 6:28and crushing it within their hands and eating it.
- 6:32And let's see what they have to say in verse 2.
- 6:35And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, why do you that?
- 6:40Which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath days.
- 6:45They're calling them lawbreakers.
- 6:48They're telling them that they're guilty of breaking the
- 6:51law. But this was man made law, by
- 6:54the way, friends. And we're going to see here the
- 6:57heart of God and that the human need far supersedes any of their
- 7:03religious dogmatic approach to God.
- 7:07And that God sees the heart of man and God judges us in what we
- 7:13do for our neighbors. He sees that we love our
- 7:18neighbors and love them well and that we should always choose to
- 7:21do good and hear these religious people were so afraid of
- 7:29breaking man made religious rules that they had forsook the
- 7:35heart of God here. 3 And Jesus answered them and said, have you
- 7:39not read so much as this? What David did when himself was
- 7:46hungered and they which were with him.
- 7:49He says, do you even know the scriptures?
- 7:52That's what he's asking these religious people.
- 7:55And there are so many today and our day and our hour who could
- 8:00quote the Bible back in front. They will tell you that they've
- 8:05read the Bible and they know the Bible and they grew up with the
- 8:08Bible, but they miss the heart of God, friends.
- 8:12And here Jesus is going to expound on how God works and the
- 8:17way that God thinks. And Jesus is God, and He had all
- 8:21authority to tell us what it was that the Father desired of us,
- 8:26because He is the Father Son, the only begotten.
- 8:29For how he went into the House of God, and did take and eat the
- 8:35showbread, and gave also to them that were with him, which it is
- 8:40not lawful to eat, but for the priests alone.
- 8:44So here Jesus points them to the Scripture where David went in
- 8:49and got the bread that was only supposed to be for the priest.
- 8:53And God did not condemn him to death.
- 8:56God did not strike. Write him dead.
- 8:58God gave him this special permission.
- 9:04And don't be surprised when you're following hard after God
- 9:07Almighty if God doesn't do the same for you.
- 9:11Friends, there are so many times that we miss the mark because
- 9:16we're so incensed against people.
- 9:24And we have so much division within our hearts and minds, and
- 9:29God is inviting us into this labor of love.
- 9:32God is inviting us into these arenas where it's uncomfortable
- 9:38and where we have to rely on God for our very next meal.
- 9:43We have to rely on God to protect us, and we miss it
- 9:47because we choose comfort. We miss it because we choose
- 9:50religion and we don't have the relationship that it takes to
- 9:54stay connected to the vine and produce much fruit.
- 9:57And we play it safe and by doing so, friends, we miss the mark
- 10:05five. And he said unto them that the
- 10:08Son of Man is Lord also of the Sabbath.
- 10:13He was claiming deity here, He was claiming divinity here, and
- 10:18he was showing these religious leaders that all of their man
- 10:21made rules were going to be torn down because Jesus is on the
- 10:26scene. Jesus is doing a new thing, and
- 10:29you cannot put the new wine into old wineskins that will burst
- 10:35them. And Jesus is saying that both
- 10:39are beneficial, but we need to be able to hear from God.
- 10:44We need to be able to know that God is speaking to us.
- 10:47We need to have the convictions that come from following after
- 10:50God Almighty and He'll lead us home.
- 10:52Friends, 6 And it came to pass also on another Sabbath that he
- 10:59entered into the synagogue and taught, and there was a man
- 11:02whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees
- 11:07watched him whether he would heal on the Sabbath day, that
- 11:11they might find an accusation against him.
- 11:14Here it seems as if they have placed this man strategically in
- 11:20this particular synagogue. It seems as if they had their
- 11:25little spies there because they knew the heart and they knew
- 11:29that Jesus was love and they knew that he would heal.
- 11:34Imagine the evil ear of using Jesus's heart against him to try
- 11:43to convict him and to try to condemn him to death.
- 11:48What an evil plot, and you can see it playing out in our day
- 11:52and our hour, the goodness of God being torn down.
- 11:56And woe to them who call evil good and who call good evil.
- 12:03And it's happening all around us.
- 12:05You can see it, friends. It's all shaping up just like he
- 12:08told us it would. Nothing should be a surprise
- 12:11when you're connected to the vine and you know the heart of
- 12:14God, and you know that all these things must take place, but woe
- 12:18to the one whom they come through. 8 But he knew their
- 12:25thoughts, and he said to the man which had the withered hand,
- 12:29Rise up, stand forth in the midst, and he arose and stood
- 12:34forth. 9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing,
- 12:40Is it lawful on the Sabbath days to do good or to do evil?
- 12:46To save life or to destroy it? Common sense theology here,
- 12:52friends. Is it better to do good or evil?
- 12:56Knee jerk reaction, it's better to do good.
- 12:59Is it better to save life or destroy it?
- 13:02Knee jerk reaction to save life. But here you can see the evil
- 13:07intentions of these men who loved their little Playhouse.
- 13:10They loved all of their little rules.
- 13:13They love to exact this over the masses.
- 13:17They loved the power and the greed and they saw someone who
- 13:21was coming in and threatening their little way of life.
- 13:25And God saw through it and Jesus sees through it.
- 13:29And Jesus heals this man anyway, even though he knew their evil
- 13:33intentions. And we should be so bold in the
- 13:36face, friends of opposition. We should not shrink back and be
- 13:40cowards whenever we're up against the rulers and up
- 13:44against the people who could very well take our lives.
- 13:49We need to stand firm in the faith.
- 13:52We need to stand our ground and know that we are rooted in the
- 13:56rock solid foundation of Jesus Christ the cornerstone. 10 And
- 14:03looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man,
- 14:07Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so, and his hand was
- 14:12restored whole as the other. That is what it's like when we
- 14:16come in contact with Jesus. We are made whole.
- 14:19Friends. If any man is in Christ, he is a
- 14:21new creation. The old is passed away.
- 14:23Behold, the new has come. And we need to know that we are
- 14:28restored. We need to know that we are
- 14:30whole. We need to know that our sins
- 14:32are forgiven. We need to know that we know
- 14:35that. We know that if we were to die
- 14:37today, we would be welcomed into paradise and eternity and be
- 14:43there with him. We do not need to have a hope.
- 14:46So maybe so kind of faith. We can have a no so kind of
- 14:50faith today because today is the day of salvation.
- 14:53Work out your salvation with fear and trembling friends. 11
- 15:01And they were filled with madness, and commune one with
- 15:07another what they might do to Jesus.
- 15:11Anytime you come up against Jesus, it is madness.
- 15:16It will only lead to your demise.
- 15:19There is no mocking of God's word that will not be poured
- 15:24back on top of you. God's word will never return
- 15:28void and God will not be mocked. 12 And it came to pass in those
- 15:33days that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued
- 15:40all night in prayer to God. When is the last time you
- 15:45prayed? All the way through the night
- 15:47with God? And you can see the model of
- 15:50Jesus Christ. You can see all the power that
- 15:53he had was connected to this prayer life, Friends. 13 And
- 15:57when it was day, he called unto him his disciples, and of them
- 16:02he chose 12, whom also he named apostles.
- 16:07So you can see these 12 are the foundation friends.
- 16:10Just as Israel had the 12 tribes, here Jesus has the 12
- 16:15disciples friends, and it's all adding up and it's congruent and
- 16:20God is good at what he does. And here this all night prayer
- 16:24has LED Jesus to pick the 12 and we can see just how blessed this
- 16:31entire world has been from the faith of these men.
- 16:37And God turned the whole world upside down with 12 lives.
- 16:42We should not be concerned with numbers, friends.
- 16:46We need to be concerned with the devotion that we have for God
- 16:56and the ability to endure hardships and not run and tuck
- 17:01tail and flee when persecution arises. 14 Simon, whom he also
- 17:10named Peter, Andrew his brother James, John, Philip Bartholomew,
- 17:16Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon called the
- 17:21Zealot. 16 and Judas the brother of James and Judas Iscariot,
- 17:28which also was the traitor. We know that God can use people
- 17:39and nations, but never excuse what they do.
- 17:45God gives us free will, but he already knows what we're going
- 17:50to do. 17 And he came down with them and stood in the plain, and
- 17:56the company of his disciples, in a great multitude of people out
- 18:00of all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and
- 18:05Sidon, which came to hear him and to be healed of their
- 18:08diseases. So here is the sermon on the
- 18:11plain. And it depends on which thought
- 18:16process you flow into either. This was the same as the Sermon
- 18:23on the Mountain. Just depends on which angle
- 18:26you're looking at it. Or this was a sermon that Jesus
- 18:31would give in multiple places. Either way, it's going to mimic
- 18:37and mirror a lot of the the beatitudes that we saw on the
- 18:41Sermon on the mount. Perhaps the same sermon just
- 18:46reorganized, or perhaps a different time Jesus was
- 18:50reiterating the same sermon, but either way, friends, it stays
- 18:55the same. The heart of God, the heart of
- 18:58Jesus, the teachings that this entire world, the entire globe
- 19:03benefits from everything, all the laws and all the land should
- 19:09be traced back to these very words.
- 19:13And look at how Jesus is healing them of their diseases.
- 19:16Look at how the great multitude of people, it would look as if
- 19:20he's trying to amass some kind of army to go and overtake the
- 19:25Roman government. And a lot of people were there
- 19:28for the wrong reasons, and Jesus had mercy on them. 18 And they
- 19:36that were vexed with unclean spirits, and they were healed.
- 19:40So not only were they healed of their diseases, but they were
- 19:43healed of all of the demonic possession and oppression and
- 19:49influence. And today, friends, there's so
- 19:53much going on around us. And we would do well to make
- 19:57sure that we have a host of angels encamped all around us,
- 20:02forming a hedge around us, friends, and not giving in to
- 20:06all of the pressures of this world, all the pressures of the
- 20:11darkness. We need to pray circles around
- 20:14our families, in circles around our houses.
- 20:18In circles around our minds, friends.
- 20:21And we need to know that the devil is so subtle and he comes
- 20:26in, he's like a roaring lying. And he comes in and looks for
- 20:31the weak who are not connected to the vine, those that forsake
- 20:35the reading of the Scripture and their prayer life, those that
- 20:39forsake the assembling. He looks for the weak friends.
- 20:43And those are the easy targets. And that is who that prowling
- 20:47lion goes and finds the weak friends.
- 20:50We would do well to strengthen ourselves in the Lord, like
- 20:55David did when he thought that the men were going to kill him
- 20:59and stone him because their families and their children were
- 21:02let off. It says that David strengthened
- 21:05himself in the Lord. Are you strengthening yourself
- 21:08in the Lord, or are you too busy being entertained?
- 21:12Friends 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him,
- 21:20for there went virtue out of Him and healed them all.
- 21:27Have you gone in today for a touch of the Lord?
- 21:30Have you grabbed a hold of the hem of His garment?
- 21:32Has He led you into the holiest of holy places?
- 21:35Have you received your healing today?
- 21:37Friends, I pray that you have go to Him daily and receive your
- 21:42wholeness. Do not let a day go by without
- 21:46getting connected to the vine and without giving your lives
- 21:49completely overly over to Him daily, every day give your life
- 21:55to the Lord. 20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples and
- 22:00said, Blessed be you poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God.
- 22:05He's talking about the poor and spirit.
- 22:08Friends, we know that God looks very generously upon the poor of
- 22:16this world, and He expects for us to take care of those that
- 22:22have lack. If you have much in your house,
- 22:25there should be a very generous, outflowing and outpouring upon
- 22:31those that do not have, whether it be from their inabilities,
- 22:38whether it be from some kind of ailment.
- 22:42We need to be tapped in and tuned in to the needs of the
- 22:47poor. And he says, blessed are they,
- 22:50for theirs is the Kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you that
- 22:54hunger now, for you shall be filled.
- 22:59Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh.
- 23:03So he's saying that those that hunger and thirst after
- 23:07righteousness will be filled. Friends and blessed are those
- 23:12that mourn, for they will laugh, they will rejoice, and we should
- 23:19not mourn like the rest of the world who has no hope.
- 23:24We have hope, Friends 22 Blessed are you, and men will hate you,
- 23:31and when they shall separate you from their company and shall
- 23:36reproach you and cast out your name as evil for the Son of
- 23:41man's sake. So when you get connected to
- 23:44Jesus, do not be surprised when you are subtly persecuted,
- 23:48financially persecuted, when you are ousted and outcasted from
- 23:53the in crowd because they are debaucherous and because you,
- 23:58your whole presence is conviction unto them.
- 24:02Friends, just you being there, just the you being silent and
- 24:07looking around is convicting unto them and they do not want
- 24:12it. They do not like it.
- 24:13Don't be surprised whenever you give your life over to the Lord
- 24:17Jesus Christ, and you go in to the places that you used to go
- 24:21in. If they do not laugh you to
- 24:22scorn, if they do not ridicule you, if they do not say all
- 24:29kinds of evil things against you, do not be surprised.
- 24:32Friends, what does he say about it?
- 24:3523 Rejoice you in that day. Leap for joy.
- 24:40Behold, your reward is great in heaven.
- 24:43For in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets, they
- 24:48stoned the true prophets of God. They killed the true prophets of
- 24:52God. And when you're truly connected
- 24:54to the power, it is convicting unto the world.
- 24:58And they do not want to watch it.
- 25:01They do not want their consciences to be pricked.
- 25:04They do not want to have to sit and think about the truth.
- 25:09They just want to be delusional. They just want to drown it all
- 25:14out in the drugs and alcohol and sex friends.
- 25:17They just want to continue down these paths of sin.
- 25:22But they do not realize that the enemy is here to steal, kill,
- 25:27and destroy, and if they will get out and away from all of
- 25:31their sinful practices and behavior, that Jesus Christ will
- 25:34give them the abundant life that he promises them. 24 But woe
- 25:39unto you that are rich, for you have received your consolation.
- 25:47So we know that we should not seek after wealth and riches.
- 25:52Friends, he says that we should have just enough.
- 26:00That way we do not forget about him.
- 26:03When you become too rich and too wealthy, you will have a
- 26:06tendency to forget him. And it is easier for the camel
- 26:10to go through the eye of the needle than it is for a rich man
- 26:14to make it into heaven. And that is because they turn
- 26:18their backs on Almighty God, and they trust in their riches.
- 26:24They have received their consolation. 25 Woe unto you
- 26:29that are full, for you shall hunger.
- 26:33Woe unto you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.
- 26:39So you can see here how these points are represented against
- 26:45each other, where he tells the ones above that if they hunger
- 26:51they will be filled, and if they weep they will laugh.
- 26:54And then down here it says, woe to you that laugh now, for you
- 26:57will mourn, woe to you that are full, for you will hunger.
- 27:01You can see that these are set against each other.
- 27:05You can see here that it is better in this lifetime to count
- 27:10the cost because in the life to come it will be much better.
- 27:16But if you get everything that you ever wanted down here and
- 27:20you are cast into hell, what good is that?
- 27:23What is it? Profit a man to gain the whole
- 27:26world but to lose his soul and do not fear the one that can
- 27:30take your life away, but the one that can take your life and your
- 27:34soul away and cast it into hell. We need to be hyper fixated upon
- 27:40eternity and we need to live in light of eternity friends, and
- 27:44not choose used to have all of our blessings and consolation
- 27:48and fullness and joy in this life. 26 Woe unto you when all
- 27:55men shall speak well of you, for so did their fathers to the
- 27:59false prophets. My goodness gracious, pay
- 28:03attention, lock in friends, listen.
- 28:06We do not need to have our names exalted in this lifetime.
- 28:12We do not need to be known in this lifetime by any other than
- 28:16Jesus Christ. We do not need to be those that
- 28:19stand before him and give him our pedigree, give him all of
- 28:25our resume and he says depart from me for I never knew you.
- 28:29We need to only be known by Jesus Christ and Jesus alone.
- 28:33He knows everything. He knows your inner motives.
- 28:36He knows why you do what you do and when you do it, and he, he
- 28:41is going to be the one to decide where you go.
- 28:45And it's all hinged upon being known by him, being covered in
- 28:50his blood. Friends 27 But I say unto you,
- 28:59which here love your enemies, do good to them which hate you.
- 29:04This is foundational, friends. It will prove that you actually
- 29:09belong to him when you have no hate and harbor no hate in your
- 29:17life for another human being. This is a hinge point, an hour
- 29:22walk with him. You should not hate anybody.
- 29:26You can hate the spirit that is behind those people, but do not
- 29:32hate them. There's hope for them if there's
- 29:34breath in their lungs. 28 Bless them that curse you.
- 29:39Pray for them, which despitefully use you.
- 29:41And just remember, friends, that you were once these people, you
- 29:45were once, you were once hostile towards the cross of Christ.
- 29:51Do not forget that. And if you have breath in your
- 29:53lungs today, God's not done with you.
- 29:56If they have breath in their lungs today, there's hope for
- 29:58them, friends. 28 Bless them that curse you, pray for them,
- 30:06which despitefully use you. What did Jesus say on the cross?
- 30:11He says, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
- 30:1629 And unto him that strikes you on one cheek, offer also the
- 30:21other. And him that takes away your
- 30:23cloak, forbid him not to take away your coat also.
- 30:27So Jesus here he is giving us these foundational truths of how
- 30:34we are to operate in this lifetime.
- 30:37And when we suffer violence, it is OK for us to remove ourselves
- 30:46from those situations. But when people revile you and
- 30:50say all kinds of nasty things towards you, do not be surprised
- 30:55if they were to strike you. Then you are to turn the other
- 31:01cheek. And this is when someone is
- 31:06disgracefully treating you. And Jesus here is giving us our
- 31:13marching orders and showing us how we are to operate in this
- 31:17lifetime. If they take away our outer
- 31:21garment, give them our inner garment, because there is no
- 31:23lack in the Father's house, and we know where everything comes
- 31:27from. And with food and clothing be
- 31:29content. Be content with your wages.
- 31:33And just know that godliness with contentment is great gain.
- 31:3930 Give to every man that asks of you, of him that takes away
- 31:44your goods. Ask them not again. 31 And as
- 31:47you would that men should do to you, do you also to them
- 31:51likewise? It is very simple, friends, just
- 31:54do unto others as you would want done unto you.
- 31:58Do not treat others shamefully and disgracefully, because you
- 32:02are in a position to do so. God sees that, and he'll remove
- 32:06you from that position. 32 For if you love them, which love
- 32:12you, what think have you? For sinners also love those that
- 32:17love them. He's saying it's easy to love
- 32:20those who are lovable, it's harder to love those that are
- 32:24unlovable, It's harder to love those who don't deserve love,
- 32:29it's harder to love those who are violent, and it's harder to
- 32:32love those who seek your demise. 33 And if you do good to them,
- 32:39which have done good to you, what thank have you for sinners
- 32:43also do even the same. He's saying the rest of the
- 32:47world operates that way, but we should look differently. 34 And
- 32:51if you lend to them of whom you hope to receive what thank have
- 32:56you for sinners, also lend to sinners to receive as much
- 33:01Again. He's saying when you give, don't
- 33:03expect to get back. Give generously and liberally,
- 33:11knowing that you can never out give.
- 33:12God in the grace that's been poured upon you cost him
- 33:16everything. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and land
- 33:23hoping for nothing again, for your reward shall be great.
- 33:27And you shall be the children of the highest.
- 33:31For he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
- 33:35For he is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.
- 33:39For he is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.
- 33:41For he is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.
- 33:43Friends He makes it rain on the righteous and the unjust.
- 33:49You can see God in his provision over the land that He is
- 33:54merciful, and this is as close to heaven as the unrepentant
- 34:02Sinner. This is as close to heaven as
- 34:05they will ever get, but for us who are blood bought and born
- 34:09again, this is as close to hell as we will ever get.
- 34:13And you can see that all of creation proclaims His name, so
- 34:17that man is without excuse. You can see the goodness of God
- 34:21in this lifetime, friends, and how people who are blasphemous
- 34:27towards God, He continues to give them love and He continues
- 34:33to give them food to eat. He continues to give them warmth
- 34:37and He continues to give them rain. 36 BU therefore merciful,
- 34:48as your Father also is merciful. 37 Do not judge, for you shall
- 34:53not be judged. Do not condemn, and you shall
- 34:56not be condemned. Forgive and you shall be
- 34:59forgiven. Very simple stuff here, friends.
- 35:02It's the same measurement that you judge people, that you will
- 35:05feel and have that judgment. It's the same measure that you
- 35:10condemn others, that you will feel and have that condemnation.
- 35:15You need to know that the unforgiveness that you will not
- 35:20give to another, it's the same unforgiveness that you will feel
- 35:24and have in your own mind and heart.
- 35:27Friends, this is simple stuff. It is by not judging that you do
- 35:32not feel judgment. It is by not condemning that you
- 35:36will not feel condemned. It is by offering the
- 35:39forgiveness that you will feel the forgiveness.
- 35:43Friends, it's simple stuff that Jesus is teaching us.
- 35:46We need to know. It's that same measurement. 38
- 35:49Give, and it shall be given unto you a good measure, pressed
- 35:53down, shaken together, running over, shall men give into your
- 35:58bosom. For with the same measure that
- 36:01you meet with all, it shall be measured to you.
- 36:04Begin There it is, friends. You need to know that.
- 36:08You need to know that we need to act graciously, we need to be
- 36:13forgiving and we need to make sure that we do not hold
- 36:17anything over anybody else and we do not ridicule and make fun.
- 36:21Because if we will do that, then we can walk in freedom. 39 And
- 36:28he spoke a parable unto them. Can the blind lead the blind?
- 36:32Shall they not both fall into the ditch?
- 36:35This is simple stuff here, friends.
- 36:37Obviously, if a blind guide is leading someone, they're going
- 36:41to lead them off the wrong path. 40 The disciple is not above his
- 36:46master, but everyone that is perfect shall be as his master.
- 36:51So when you're learning is done, you will not be greater then
- 36:54Jesus's teachings here. You will only mirror what he
- 36:58says, 41. And why behold you the note that
- 37:02is in the Moat that is in your brother's eye, but perceive not
- 37:07the beam that is in your own eyes, talking about a speck in
- 37:11your brother's eye and you're trying to point it out when
- 37:14you've got a whole 2 by 4 hanging out of yours, 42 either.
- 37:20How can you say to your brother, brother, let me pull out the
- 37:23Moat that is in your eye when you yourself behold not that the
- 37:27beam that is in your own eye, you hypocrite, cast out first
- 37:32the beam out of your own eye and then you shall see clearly to
- 37:35pull out the Moat that is in your brother's eye so you can
- 37:39see. He doesn't say not to go and
- 37:43show you, your brother, the error of his way.
- 37:45He's saying, first deal with your own stuff. 43 For a good
- 37:50tree brings not forth corrupt fruit, neither does a corrupt
- 37:55tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his
- 38:01own fruit. For a thorn's men do not gather
- 38:04figs, nor of a Bramble Bush do they gather grapes.
- 38:08So he's showing us here that we will know each other by the
- 38:11fruit that we bear, and out of the mouth comes springing out
- 38:15what is stored in it, whether it be evil or good. 45 A good man
- 38:20out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is
- 38:24good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart
- 38:27brings forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance of the
- 38:32heart his mouth speaks. If you'll just get quiet and
- 38:36listen, a lot of times people will give you the calling cards.
- 38:39If you will just sit and listen, be slow to speak and quick to
- 38:44listen, be slow to anger. Friends, you will find out a lot
- 38:50out of people. That is what Jesus is telling us
- 38:57that out of the heart of man they speak. 46 And why call you
- 39:05me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say.
- 39:11So he's telling us what to do, and he's telling us why it'll be
- 39:15when people get there and they stand before him and say, Lord,
- 39:19we prophesied in your name, Lord, we cast out demons in your
- 39:23name, Lord, we perform miracles in your name.
- 39:26And he says, depart from me, for I never knew you.
- 39:29And it was all a bunch of outward expressions.
- 39:32It was just ceremony and tradition, and they never had
- 39:35the heart of God. They were just going through the
- 39:38motions. And that is what he says here.
- 39:40Why do you call me Lord? Lord, and you don't do what I
- 39:44say. If you call him Lord, you will
- 39:45do what he has asked us to do. It's that simple.
- 39:49Friends. When you're connected to the
- 39:52vine, you will produce much fruit. 47 Whosoever comes to me
- 39:57and hears my sayings and does them, I will show you.
- 40:02To whom he is like 48. He is like a man which builds a
- 40:06house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation on a rock.
- 40:10And when the flood rose, the steam beat vehemently upon the
- 40:21house, and could not shake it, for it was founded upon a rock.
- 40:28So you can see that this flood came.
- 40:30The stream rose. You can see that it was violent
- 40:34upon that house, but it could not take it down.
- 40:38Why? Because it was founded upon
- 40:40Jesus, the cornerstone, the rock.
- 40:45He is our foundation, friends, and when you build your house
- 40:50upon that, all the storms of life that come that try to tear
- 40:54it down, it could never tear it down, because He is the rock
- 40:58that was cut out without human hands, that smashes all the evil
- 41:03kingdoms of the earth. Friends, we'll end on 49.
- 41:08But he that hears and does not is like a man, that without a
- 41:15foundation, He built the house upon the earth, against which
- 41:21the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell.
- 41:27And the ruin of that house was great.
- 41:31When we try to build our life upon this earth, When we try to
- 41:35build our life upon all of the logical teachings of man.
- 41:41When the storms come and the wind blows, we will be knocked
- 41:46over quickly, Friends, we will be duped, friends.
- 41:51Whenever we build our house upon the shaky foundation of this
- 41:56earth, we will be tossed to and fro by every single storm that
- 42:02comes. And that is what Jesus is
- 42:06showing us, that if we try to build our house on anything but
- 42:09Him, it will lead to our demise. It is only by getting into this
- 42:14good book, trusting in Him, giving our lives completely,
- 42:18totally and utterly over to Jesus Christ, our cornerstone,
- 42:22that we will find life and life abundant.
- 42:25And there is no other way to the Father except through Jesus
- 42:29Christ. What an amazing chapter this has
- 42:31been. I hope you've been blessed by
- 42:36it. I know I sure have, many times
- 42:40over. Jesus is Lord.
- 42:45Can you say that today? Friends?
- 42:48Is Jesus Lord of your life? Are you not only reading this,
- 42:54but obeying it? It's the love of Jesus that
- 42:57produces the obedience. Friends, I love you, so does
- 43:06Jesus, so does God. I pray that you're full of the
- 43:11Holy Spirit today. I pray that you've been blessed
- 43:15by our time through the Word. We'll see you back here
- 43:20tomorrow. God bless you.
