- 0:04Speaker 1: Good morning family, Good morning God bless you. Welcome back
- 0:07Speaker 1: to the Morning Devo with your bro Sam Lopez aka
- 0:10Speaker 1: DJ Sam Rock so Win is with a z RG.
- 0:13Speaker 1: That's the home of the celeb Radio Network, the Lehigh
- 0:16Speaker 1: Valley's number one urban gospel music station online since two
- 0:20Speaker 1: thousand and eight. And we're still here and the party
- 0:22Speaker 1: doesn't stop. Amen. We're gonna dance until the party's over
- 0:26Speaker 1: on this side of eternity. But listen, dancing in itself
- 0:31Speaker 1: is not considered a sin in the Bible. And that's
- 0:36Speaker 1: a bomb for somebody. Psh. Some brothers and sisters that
- 0:40Speaker 1: I know. Quick story. I literally dj' in New York. Amen,
- 0:46Speaker 1: a Christian wedding. Amen me. And at the time, I
- 0:51Speaker 1: think it was brother of Mikey came down with me. Amen.
- 0:54Speaker 1: He was my DJ assistant and we were in a
- 0:57Speaker 1: story of Queen's I believe we were. I knew beforehand.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I just didn't believe it. The groom had set everything up.
- 1:05Speaker 1: He said, listen, there's not gonna be any dancing. So
- 1:07Speaker 1: I asked, why do you need to DJ then? Because
- 1:11Speaker 1: the playlist was a lively playlist. Amen, nice Christian music,
- 1:17Speaker 1: dancing music line, dancing music and all that. So when
- 1:21Speaker 1: we were there, the other part of the family, the
- 1:27Speaker 1: wife's family, was like, we don't care what they say.
- 1:29Speaker 1: We're going to dance. We're go PARTI is a celebration.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah, this is a celebration, so
- 1:34Speaker 1: there should be some dancing. But the groom came up
- 1:38Speaker 1: to me to listen. I'm all about it, like I
- 1:41Speaker 1: would love to dance celebrate. But his wife's part of
- 1:44Speaker 1: the family were believers, and they were the believers that
- 1:52Speaker 1: feel that dancing is not gotti. So I know when
- 1:58Speaker 1: I said dancing in itself is not considered a sin
- 2:02Speaker 1: in the Bible, I know some brothers and sisters are like,
- 2:05Speaker 1: you have to prove that, amen, because there's no way. Oh,
- 2:10Speaker 1: we're gonna prove it. We could see it on a site.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Two scriptures say in the morning DeVos tewod Samuel chapter six,
- 2:15Speaker 1: verse number fourteen and Psalms Chapter one hundred and forty nine,
- 2:19Speaker 1: verse three. Those two scriptures want to get you to
- 2:22Speaker 1: think about it. Amen. I always say this man, we
- 2:25Speaker 1: are the most we should be the most celebrated people,
- 2:28Speaker 1: like we should be celebrating the fact that Jesus Christ
- 2:32Speaker 1: is our lord and Savior, he's coming back soon. I
- 2:36Speaker 1: know there's a lot of chaos in this world. I
- 2:38Speaker 1: know all of that. I live in the same world
- 2:40Speaker 1: you live in. But the dance party, Amen, the Holy
- 2:45Speaker 1: Dance Party, don't stop, don't stop. Amen. And I have
- 2:52Speaker 1: some people that I know. I have a sister the
- 2:54Speaker 1: Lord Amen, that she puts her videos with her family.
- 2:57Speaker 1: She's always dancing. Amen. And she's born again. She just
- 3:00Speaker 1: wrote a book, Amen. And it's not about dancing. But
- 3:05Speaker 1: she wrote a book and she's living a life, you know,
- 3:09Speaker 1: single now at the time of this recording. But she dances. Amen.
- 3:15Speaker 1: To me. It blesses me because I'm like, yeah, we're
- 3:17Speaker 1: supposed to be dancing, celebrating, praising God. Amen. I'm showing
- 3:21Speaker 1: people that we do have joined our hearts, that we
- 3:24Speaker 1: are celebrating, Amen, that we're alive in Christ and we
- 3:29Speaker 1: have something to celebrate and we have someone to worship
- 3:32Speaker 1: and celebrate. Amen. By the eye. And I see you.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Good morning. Blessing to you, my friend. Amen. sureI yes,
- 3:39Speaker 1: dance like David. We're gonna go there in a couple
- 3:42Speaker 1: of minutes. Amen, Holy dance Party, Amen, It's possible. I'm
- 3:46Speaker 1: a Christian DJ. I know it's possible, and it's hard
- 3:50Speaker 1: to convince people sometimes that you can have a good time,
- 3:54Speaker 1: dance and everything and honor God in those dance parties
- 3:58Speaker 1: that I'm talking about, Amen, Christian DJ. I crave that
- 4:01Speaker 1: people don't believe it. They think that the music that
- 4:04Speaker 1: I'm going to play is going to be so religious
- 4:07Speaker 1: or so corny that they don't buy into it. But
- 4:10Speaker 1: I've done it before. I hope to do it again
- 4:14Speaker 1: for whatever generation, the younger generation, older generation. A man,
- 4:18Speaker 1: the dance party for God's people doesn't stop. So we're
- 4:22Speaker 1: gonna be in two scriptures on today's Morning Devo two
- 4:26Speaker 1: Samuel six fourteen A Psalm one forty nine and Verse
- 4:29Speaker 1: number three. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or
- 4:32Speaker 1: any prayer requests, don't hesitate to dven on the live chat.
- 4:35Speaker 1: That's what we're here for. If you're listening only on
- 4:38Speaker 1: so wins with is z do org or you live
- 4:41Speaker 1: that so one is with z do org A man,
- 4:44Speaker 1: welcome back to the Morning Devo. There should be spaces
- 4:47Speaker 1: there where you could connect with me as well from
- 4:49Speaker 1: the website and also from live that someone is with
- 4:52Speaker 1: a z dot org. There's a live chat. There's an
- 4:54Speaker 1: interactive Bible right then and there right there on the site.
- 4:57Speaker 1: And it's a real, real distraction free website over there.
- 5:00Speaker 1: So if you really want to focus, Amen, go to
- 5:03Speaker 1: live that so Winness with z do org. We'll go
- 5:06Speaker 1: to soul Winness with a z that org. So, thank
- 5:09Speaker 1: you so much for coming back. Well, if this is
- 5:11Speaker 1: your first time, welcome to the morning Devo. There's no mistakes.
- 5:15Speaker 1: This is not a coincidence. This is a divine meeting
- 5:18Speaker 1: with the Word of God by way of Holy Spirit.
- 5:21Speaker 1: He's drawing people to himself. Amen, So you are being
- 5:24Speaker 1: drawn into the Word of God. So welcome to the
- 5:27Speaker 1: family of God over here on the morning Devo. So
- 5:30Speaker 1: let's pray first. After we pray, we'll share this out
- 5:32Speaker 1: for like sixty seconds. When we come back on the
- 5:34Speaker 1: other side of those sixty seconds, we'll get right into
- 5:38Speaker 1: dance party today in the morning, Devo. Father, I thank
- 5:41Speaker 1: you that we are able to celebrate. Thank you, Lord God,
- 5:44Speaker 1: that we are able to praise and worship you through
- 5:47Speaker 1: dancing through party holy parties. Amen, thank you, Lord God
- 5:52Speaker 1: that you give us a smile on our face every
- 5:54Speaker 1: time we think about what you have done in our
- 5:56Speaker 1: hearts and what you have done in our lives. Thank
- 5:58Speaker 1: you for transforming, redeeming us, saving us, rescuing us. And
- 6:03Speaker 1: I pray I had your protection over us in Jesus
- 6:05Speaker 1: Name physically, that you will protect us physically, emotionally, spiritually
- 6:11Speaker 1: in Jesus Holy Name. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord God, that you,
- 6:14Speaker 1: Lord God, are setting us up for your return and
- 6:18Speaker 1: that you are returning soon. Thank you for your promises,
- 6:21Speaker 1: Thank you for your love, your grace and your mercy.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Thank you for allowing us to breathe another day. And
- 6:27Speaker 1: I pray, Lord God, for whoever is a feeling alone
- 6:30Speaker 1: right now, that you would comfort them, that you would
- 6:32Speaker 1: send your arkwen Angels, minister angels by this side right now,
- 6:36Speaker 1: including me and my household and every single household and
- 6:39Speaker 1: family member represented on my side of the family and
- 6:42Speaker 1: on my White's side of the family as a union,
- 6:45Speaker 1: that we bless people in Jesus Holy Name, from the
- 6:48Speaker 1: very youngest family member to the very oldest and everyone
- 6:52Speaker 1: in between. I pray that same prayer over every single
- 6:54Speaker 1: person watching and listening right now in the name of Jesus.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I pray it's by faith Jesus Holy Name, we all
- 7:01Speaker 1: say Amen to the amen. So to help me shut
- 7:04Speaker 1: this out sixty seconds. When we come back, we'll get
- 7:06Speaker 1: right into dance party today on the morning, devil, I'll
- 7:10Speaker 1: be right back. All right, we're back, We're back. Let's
- 8:48Speaker 1: go for it, ladies and gentlemen. Let's see what the
- 8:51Speaker 1: Word of God has to say this morning, Amen, to
- 8:54Speaker 1: try to get you to think differently. I know people
- 8:57Speaker 1: have been debating about this through the centuries, about dancing, celebrating, festivals,
- 9:03Speaker 1: parties and all that other stuff. There's a session of
- 9:07Speaker 1: believers that I'm aware of, at least, that don't do
- 9:11Speaker 1: any of that. They're ain't going to movies, and they
- 9:13Speaker 1: don't listen to any kind of music outside of what
- 9:17Speaker 1: they're listening to in church. And is actually a debate
- 9:20Speaker 1: interesting enough, interest interestingly enough that people are saying what
- 9:29Speaker 1: type of music is considered worship? Amen. Honestly, I've heard
- 9:33Speaker 1: those debates and I'm like, wow, and what do you
- 9:36Speaker 1: get that from? So we're trying to draw things out
- 9:38Speaker 1: of the scripture sometimes that are not even there. But
- 9:41Speaker 1: we're in our feelings and we have to be careful
- 9:43Speaker 1: with that. Let's see what the Word says, Amen, and
- 9:46Speaker 1: let Holy Spirit, minister to our hearts in our mind
- 9:48Speaker 1: when it comes to dancing and the dance party that
- 9:52Speaker 1: God endorses, Amen, not man, God endorses. God endorsed this. Okay,
- 10:00Speaker 1: let's put this on the screen, a man dance party
- 10:03Speaker 1: for those who are just listening, No worries. I'm going
- 10:05Speaker 1: to read this word for word so that way you
- 10:07Speaker 1: get the word of God in your in your mental
- 10:12Speaker 1: second Samuel Ready, chapter six, verse fourteen. Amen. I could
- 10:16Speaker 1: back I should back it up and well read the
- 10:19Speaker 1: whole chapter for yourself, but I'm going to just concentrate
- 10:22Speaker 1: on verse number fourteen. There's a lot more to this.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And David was dancing before the Lord with great enthusiasm.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And David was wearing a linen ephod a priest since
- 10:40Speaker 1: it is upper garment, so there was no there was
- 10:42Speaker 1: no bottom garment. It's only a upper garment. But the
- 10:45Speaker 1: thing is he was dancing before the Lord. What kind
- 10:50Speaker 1: of dance was that? Amen? So obviously he was going
- 10:55Speaker 1: in because it says with great enthusiasm, so he was enthusiasm.
- 10:58Speaker 1: He was going in. David was dancing, Amen. And if
- 11:03Speaker 1: you're doing it before the Lord, then it was okay.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Otherwise we would have seen a scripture that it would
- 11:10Speaker 1: not be okay. Somebody that wasn't feeling it. I think
- 11:12Speaker 1: it was his wife or someone ran in the room.
- 11:16Speaker 1: You got to do your due diligence so that I
- 11:18Speaker 1: won't mess the story up. Its Second Samuel, chapter six.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Read it for yourself the whole chapter. And someone wasn't
- 11:24Speaker 1: pleased with the way he was dancing. Someone was, you know,
- 11:28Speaker 1: in their feelings. Like I said, be mindful, be careful.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Let's see what the word says about dancing. Amen. We're
- 11:37Speaker 1: in a season to celebrate, right. We have reasons to dance.
- 11:40Speaker 1: We have reasons to put on some praise and worship.
- 11:42Speaker 1: We have reason to play on some gospel rap, some
- 11:44Speaker 1: gospel house music. We have reason to listen to music
- 11:47Speaker 1: and dance to it. If you're married, Amen, then there's
- 11:53Speaker 1: a lot of limits that are taken off. And when
- 11:56Speaker 1: you're dancing with your wife or you're with your husband
- 11:58Speaker 1: right single, there should be limits, there should be barriers,
- 12:03Speaker 1: there should be boundaries. Amen. Let's keep it holy. But
- 12:08Speaker 1: to celebrate one to another with one another before the Lord,
- 12:13Speaker 1: dancing before the Lord. It is mentioned in the scriptures. Amen.
- 12:18Speaker 1: But since this is a morning devo. I'm not gonna
- 12:20Speaker 1: do a deep dive into it. I'm gonna just get
- 12:22Speaker 1: you to consider dancing. According to the scriptures, hey man.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So that's the first scripture right there. Let's go to
- 12:30Speaker 1: the second. One. Second scripture we have is Psalms chapter one,
- 12:35Speaker 1: verse number three. Psalm Chapter one, forty nine, verse number three.
- 12:40Speaker 1: The Bible says, let them praise his name. Oh, get ready,
- 12:45Speaker 1: and it's a shout out to all my brothers and
- 12:47Speaker 1: sisters who don't believe in this, But let them praise
- 12:50Speaker 1: his name with dancing. You believe that. Let them sing
- 12:55Speaker 1: praises to him with the tambourine and with the light leer. Wow.
- 13:01Speaker 1: It literally says, we're given permission to praise his name
- 13:07Speaker 1: with dancing. Amen. The dance party is not going to
- 13:12Speaker 1: stop until it's over. The party here will be over,
- 13:18Speaker 1: but we're gonna get a brand new reason to party,
- 13:21Speaker 1: reason to dance when Jesus cracks open the sky and
- 13:25Speaker 1: brings with him the new heaven and the new Earth.
- 13:27Speaker 1: It's going to be a more exciting time than any
- 13:30Speaker 1: other time in history. God is faithful, God is good.
- 13:34Speaker 1: God knows what he's doing. God knows what he said.
- 13:36Speaker 1: God means what he says, and says what he means.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Let them praise his name with dancing, let them sing
- 13:44Speaker 1: praises to Him with the tambourine, use instruments, right, That's
- 13:48Speaker 1: another thing. Some Christian communities don't even allow music in
- 13:56Speaker 1: the sanctuary and they don't play instruments. They just clap sing.
- 14:02Speaker 1: We're putting sometimes of restrictions on ourselves for no reason actually,
- 14:06Speaker 1: other than traditional teachings. That's why it's dangerous to mix
- 14:13Speaker 1: traditions of men with the word of God, very dangerous.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It has to be a fine line. Someone has to
- 14:20Speaker 1: be sorting out the scriptures to make sure on what
- 14:24Speaker 1: you're doing is biblical first and foremost. And we want
- 14:28Speaker 1: to please God. We want to please God. And I
- 14:30Speaker 1: think the only way we could please God by faith
- 14:32Speaker 1: in his word and his commandments. To love God. We
- 14:36Speaker 1: love his commandments right absolutely. To be free in Christ
- 14:42Speaker 1: is that is very very powerful. Be free to do
- 14:48Speaker 1: what He calls us to do and what he allows
- 14:51Speaker 1: us to do, amen, what He permits us to do
- 14:54Speaker 1: in the Lord and like the DJ I finally realize
- 15:00Speaker 1: years ago, I realized this, but I finally realized that
- 15:03Speaker 1: I could play a part in people's celebrations. Amen, they
- 15:08Speaker 1: discover music that they probably would never have heard or
- 15:11Speaker 1: never even looked for ever before. Amen, I search it
- 15:16Speaker 1: out because I know the Lord. I always ask God,
- 15:20Speaker 1: there has to be music that's going to reach generations,
- 15:23Speaker 1: the younger generation, the older generation, my generation, that will
- 15:27Speaker 1: be honoring to you. Yet at a level where we
- 15:31Speaker 1: could use it as a tool to celebrate and get
- 15:34Speaker 1: people off their chairs and onto their feet and onto
- 15:37Speaker 1: the dance floor to praise the worship God, not only
- 15:41Speaker 1: at a worship concert, not only at a praise event,
- 15:44Speaker 1: not only in the church communities, but outside in the
- 15:49Speaker 1: marketplace where people will actually look at us and be like,
- 15:52Speaker 1: oh wow, those Christians are dancing and that music, Wow,
- 15:57Speaker 1: it's really good. But when they listen to the lyrics
- 16:01Speaker 1: and when they see the boundaries that we're placing, there's
- 16:04Speaker 1: no towerking, there's no booty music, none of that stuff,
- 16:08Speaker 1: And they realize that we're still enjoying ourselves and there's
- 16:11Speaker 1: no alcohol, there's no marijuana, none of that, And they're
- 16:14Speaker 1: looking at our dance party and they could want something
- 16:17Speaker 1: of it. I'm telling you they're gonna want in. They
- 16:19Speaker 1: were like, this is a clean party. Everyone's having a
- 16:22Speaker 1: good time, and they're dancing, and they're celebrating their Lord
- 16:26Speaker 1: and their savior, the Lord Jesus, through music, through dancing,
- 16:29Speaker 1: through instruments. Powerful man, powerful get into a Holy Goos
- 16:36Speaker 1: dance party, you would be amazed. Amen, Amen, serri a man,
- 16:41Speaker 1: sister Joanne, good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to
- 16:44Speaker 1: the morning. Deal with my sister, my friends. So let's
- 16:47Speaker 1: get some more points in here about it looks like
- 16:49Speaker 1: serious listening, bright serious listening. So dancing in itself is
- 16:55Speaker 1: not considered a sin in the Bible. And we saw
- 16:59Speaker 1: two examples that The key consideration I'm trying you to consider,
- 17:04Speaker 1: trying to make you consider, is the context, the intent
- 17:13Speaker 1: behind the dancing. It's very simple. If you're dancing, it's
- 17:20Speaker 1: not pleasing to the Lord, or you have to look
- 17:22Speaker 1: around and make sure nobody sees you when you're dancing,
- 17:26Speaker 1: then you know you should keep that. It's questionable your intent,
- 17:31Speaker 1: what are you trying to do? And the music obviously
- 17:35Speaker 1: should be pleasing to the Lord. So if you're at
- 17:38Speaker 1: a party and you're born again and you're hearing some
- 17:41Speaker 1: music that's really enticing your flesh, not your spirit, enticing
- 17:47Speaker 1: your flesh to dance in a certain way, then you
- 17:50Speaker 1: could kindly remove yourself off that dance floor. It's okay
- 17:55Speaker 1: to be different. It's okay people. Gay Ah, you're corny.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Oh you too religious for us? Oh you think you bet?
- 18:02Speaker 1: I know. I've heard it all the time. I've heard
- 18:04Speaker 1: it a long time since I got saved. I heard
- 18:06Speaker 1: that since two thousand and one. But it's okay. You'll
- 18:09Speaker 1: get courage, enough courage to say no, and you'll just
- 18:15Speaker 1: sit down for that. Stay, though, I suggest you would
- 18:19Speaker 1: stay unless you're being pressured so much that your flesh
- 18:23Speaker 1: is actually taking over. Then you have to run out
- 18:25Speaker 1: of there. But if you're still under the annoying thing
- 18:29Speaker 1: and the power of God and that moment, amen, stay
- 18:32Speaker 1: and wait for the opportune moment to get up and
- 18:35Speaker 1: dance again. You men. There has to be a song
- 18:38Speaker 1: that will break past that worldliness, you man, and get
- 18:42Speaker 1: you back on point with your holiness. Amen. So the
- 18:46Speaker 1: key consideration is the context and insent behind the dancing.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Consider what we just considered. There are instances in the
- 18:55Speaker 1: Bible where dancing is portrayed positively, positively all there's other
- 19:04Speaker 1: places in the scripture but like I said, this is
- 19:05Speaker 1: the morning Devo, I can do a deep dive sing.
- 19:09Speaker 1: David dance before the Lord. We read that in tewod Samuel,
- 19:12Speaker 1: chapter number six, verse number fourteen, and a similar passage
- 19:17Speaker 1: that we see that we read Psalm on forty nine,
- 19:19Speaker 1: verse three. God actually encourages his people to praise him
- 19:25Speaker 1: through dancing. We're dancing, Amen, So it's possible. What kind
- 19:30Speaker 1: of dance did David dance? I don't know. You don't know,
- 19:33Speaker 1: but I would imagine since the Bible says with great
- 19:36Speaker 1: enthusiasm he was dancing, I could imagine that he was
- 19:39Speaker 1: going in, he was celebrating, and he was dancing. He
- 19:42Speaker 1: was in the party mode. Amen, unto the Lord. I
- 19:46Speaker 1: know it doesn't make sense to a lot of people
- 19:48Speaker 1: what I'm saying, but it's in the scripture, and I
- 19:50Speaker 1: believe God is not the author of confusion. He would
- 19:53Speaker 1: explain to you if you ask him what it means
- 19:56Speaker 1: about dancing, he would explain to you what it means
- 19:59Speaker 1: about how King David danced with enthusiasm. And some theologians
- 20:04Speaker 1: say he was naked, but he had an upper garment. Amen.
- 20:07Speaker 1: It just speaks about the upper garment just's speak about
- 20:09Speaker 1: the bottom garment, and so he probably technically he was
- 20:12Speaker 1: probably in his underclothes and the underwear dancing. Amen. And
- 20:16Speaker 1: I believe it was home. And I believe the person
- 20:19Speaker 1: who had an issue with it, I believe it was
- 20:21Speaker 1: his wife. I got to read the scripture again. But
- 20:24Speaker 1: somebody wasn't happy with the way he was dancing. Amen.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And it's gonna be like that with us. Someone is
- 20:30Speaker 1: not gonna be happy because, like I said, there's certain
- 20:33Speaker 1: Christian communities that I don't think that dancing is allowable,
- 20:37Speaker 1: or dancing is pleasing to the Lord, or they don't
- 20:40Speaker 1: even think certain music is worth listening to. This people
- 20:44Speaker 1: debating what kind of music is actually praising worship music.
- 20:49Speaker 1: A lot of people are totally against gospel rap, totally
- 20:52Speaker 1: against gospel house music. They said it sounds too worldly.
- 20:56Speaker 1: But I would challenge that. In the Book of Songs,
- 20:59Speaker 1: I would challenge that, when David was being chased by
- 21:02Speaker 1: King Saul, a man, he wrote some he wrote some
- 21:06Speaker 1: psalms in there asking God to do some things to
- 21:09Speaker 1: his enemies, and then he said that was to the
- 21:12Speaker 1: music director. So he was singing that ripped the teeth
- 21:16Speaker 1: out of people's mouths and all that stuff. It sounds
- 21:18Speaker 1: like hardcore rap. Amen. And it was a song because
- 21:23Speaker 1: he says, this is to the music director, this is
- 21:25Speaker 1: for this person. And David was being chased and he
- 21:28Speaker 1: was speaking out these things, singing these things out. So
- 21:32Speaker 1: if you heard that on a beat or in the church,
- 21:35Speaker 1: you would think who wrote that? That's blasphemy, and then
- 21:38Speaker 1: you realize that it was King David that wrote that song.
- 21:42Speaker 1: So you'd have to be mindful and be careful. I know,
- 21:45Speaker 1: I could get on my feelings too over certain issues
- 21:48Speaker 1: about church, you know, events or church things around Halloween, especially,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I get into my feelings a little bit. I don't
- 21:57Speaker 1: like celebrating any parts of Halloween, and I don't like
- 22:00Speaker 1: the church celebrating and taking my kids to celebrate anything
- 22:03Speaker 1: like that. Some people are like that about any kind
- 22:06Speaker 1: of celebration or any kind of traditional holiday. Right, dancing
- 22:11Speaker 1: good honor God. We can honor God without dancing or
- 22:14Speaker 1: our praise with our worship. Amen. It's in the scriptures,
- 22:18Speaker 1: so it's not like a stretch. I'm not trying to
- 22:20Speaker 1: force anything. You could read the chapters for yourself that
- 22:22Speaker 1: we read Second Samwich, chapter six. Read the whole thing.
- 22:26Speaker 1: So you don't think I'm taking this portion of dancing
- 22:30Speaker 1: out of context. It actually speaks about why David was
- 22:33Speaker 1: dancing and who wasn't happy with it. And then you
- 22:36Speaker 1: could go to Psalm one read the whole chapter for
- 22:39Speaker 1: yourself as well. We camp thro out of verse number
- 22:41Speaker 1: three when God himself is encouraging us to praise His
- 22:45Speaker 1: Holy name. Praising God with dancing. Also, it's going to
- 22:50Speaker 1: be a hard issue anytime you get up and a
- 22:53Speaker 1: crowd to celebrate. Listen, there's some churches that don't even
- 22:56Speaker 1: allow people to yell out Hallelujah in this service. Since
- 23:00Speaker 1: I've seen it, I've been to those churches. You get up,
- 23:03Speaker 1: raise your hands and yell out Hallelujah, eyes are on
- 23:06Speaker 1: your legs, sit down, don't do that here. I have
- 23:10Speaker 1: to have reverence, be quiet. Preachers preach it like you know,
- 23:14Speaker 1: and if that's the community, have to respect that community,
- 23:18Speaker 1: the community guidelines and the community standards. Amen. It would
- 23:22Speaker 1: be surprising. It was surprising the first time that happened.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I just thought everybody was able to celebrate God through
- 23:29Speaker 1: hallelujah to you know, lift up your voice like the
- 23:32Speaker 1: Bible says, lift up your voice for praises, Amen, hallelujah.
- 23:38Speaker 1: You know amen. I thought those were things that every
- 23:41Speaker 1: community of the Body of Christ was into, but I
- 23:46Speaker 1: realized that not everybody was on that frequency oddly enough
- 23:52Speaker 1: where I could show people the scriptures. But what are
- 23:54Speaker 1: you gonna do? Are you gonna go around from people?
- 23:57Speaker 1: Why don't we praise God this way? It says that
- 23:59Speaker 1: it's it's not time for that right. Just we have
- 24:03Speaker 1: to trust God. He knows what he's doing, and those
- 24:06Speaker 1: hearts that he's touching a man I believe will grow
- 24:10Speaker 1: into a relationship, out of a religion, out of traditions,
- 24:14Speaker 1: into a relationship with our Lord and our savior, the
- 24:17Speaker 1: Lord Jesus. So the heart and intent is very critical
- 24:22Speaker 1: when it comes to dancing for God. The dance party,
- 24:25Speaker 1: Holy party, right, Holy ghost party. The heart and intent
- 24:29Speaker 1: behind the dancing are very important. And it's obvious why
- 24:33Speaker 1: it's important, because we don't want to get up there
- 24:36Speaker 1: on the dance floor and not represent the Lord Jesus.
- 24:41Speaker 1: We don't want to start doing other types of dances
- 24:44Speaker 1: that people. This is amazing to me that the young generation,
- 24:48Speaker 1: young adults and teenagers, they watch these TikTok videos YouTube videos,
- 24:53Speaker 1: Instagram videos, or whatever other platforms that they're not telling
- 24:56Speaker 1: us about, because I got a feeling that there's other
- 24:58Speaker 1: platforms that they're using that we don't know about. My
- 25:02Speaker 1: generation doesn't know about. But whatever the case is, wherever
- 25:05Speaker 1: they're watching his videos from, they're actually using and putting
- 25:08Speaker 1: those dances in the church. And since we never seen
- 25:12Speaker 1: the dances, this generation, my generation, the older generation, we
- 25:15Speaker 1: all look at it like, Okay, that looks kind of cool,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and then when you find out where it's from, you're like,
- 25:20Speaker 1: how dare they do those dances in the church. But
- 25:25Speaker 1: like I said, God knows what he's doing. He'll hold
- 25:27Speaker 1: the heart of all his children. He'll test us right,
- 25:31Speaker 1: he'll grow us into a relationship with him, and we'll
- 25:34Speaker 1: get a proper understanding, or more deeper understanding, a deeper
- 25:38Speaker 1: level with him. Our freedom is in Christ, Amen. Our
- 25:42Speaker 1: freedom doesn't come from religion. We're not dancing and celebrating
- 25:45Speaker 1: a religion. We're dancing and celebrating a holy, righteous, loving God,
- 25:50Speaker 1: a God of heaven and earth, a God who saves,
- 25:52Speaker 1: a God who redeems, a God who transforms life. So
- 25:56Speaker 1: when I got saved, the first I said that one
- 25:58Speaker 1: of the first questions I asked, I said, do I
- 26:01Speaker 1: have to stop playing music? Do I have to stop
- 26:03Speaker 1: being a DJ? Do I have to stop dancing? I
- 26:06Speaker 1: love to dance, And literally literally Holy Spirit said, I
- 26:11Speaker 1: gave you these things to give honor and worship. Unto me,
- 26:16Speaker 1: I was like, no way. And when I first heard
- 26:18Speaker 1: my first gospel rap song, I didn't know who they were.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I just grabbed it by favorite CD that I got
- 26:24Speaker 1: from a Christian bookstore. When I got it to get
- 26:26Speaker 1: home and listen to it, I started crying. I was like,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I wasted all these years. I could have been rapping
- 26:31Speaker 1: for the Lord. I could have been dancing for the Lord.
- 26:33Speaker 1: I could have been DJing for the Lord all these
- 26:36Speaker 1: years I didn't know they meant. And then, like I said,
- 26:40Speaker 1: when I got a little bit more mature in the
- 26:42Speaker 1: faith and started getting hired by Christians and doing weddings
- 26:46Speaker 1: and stuff like that, I realized that not everybody dances
- 26:50Speaker 1: as believers. There's people who actually are against dancing in
- 26:55Speaker 1: a Christian community, let alone in the church. Some people,
- 26:59Speaker 1: because of the sanctuary, they hold it so sacred that
- 27:02Speaker 1: they doesn't even allow events in the sanctuaries. Let alone
- 27:06Speaker 1: music things like that, So heart the intent of our heart.
- 27:10Speaker 1: If dancing is done in a way that honors God
- 27:13Speaker 1: and there's an expression of joy, which it should be,
- 27:16Speaker 1: expression of celebration of worship, it can be a beautiful
- 27:20Speaker 1: and meaningful activity a man. We'll get into it maybe
- 27:25Speaker 1: some other time. I'm out of time, but listen, take
- 27:28Speaker 1: those scriptures, read it for yourself. Amen. The dance party
- 27:32Speaker 1: is a Holy Goos dance party I'm talking about. You
- 27:35Speaker 1: are able to celebrate the fact that the Lord Jesus
- 27:37Speaker 1: has changed your life right dancing to him, even if
- 27:41Speaker 1: you want to start doing that by yourself. Put on
- 27:43Speaker 1: some good Christian music and dance it the night away
- 27:46Speaker 1: unto the Lord. Amen. So I hope that encourages you
- 27:50Speaker 1: for today. God bless you all, got keep you all
- 27:53Speaker 1: and remember always that God is good. Peace.
