Latest / Embodied Wisdom: A Walk and a Talk with Dr. Brooke

You Can’t Prevent What Already Happened
When we try to prevent the past from repeating, we can unknowingly recreate it.
In this episode, I explore how unresolved emotional experiences can quietly shape perception, defensiveness, and the urge to control what happens next. When we respond to the present as though we are still preventing an old wound, we can create the very patterns we are trying to escape. Through discernment, containment, and a shift toward present-moment context, I consider what changes when we stop trying to fix what cannot be changed—and begin responding to what is actually in front of us.
