- 1:01Speaker 2: The guineas are now old enough to be out with.
- 1:04Speaker 3: The rooster that I gave him. Yeah, the rooster thinks

- 4:14Speaker 3: So the Miloe's Tea location in Homewood has just closed
- 4:19Speaker 3: the tea location. Yes, so they more than half the
- 4:22Speaker 3: people working. They were relocated to the facility in Bessemer.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Don't worry.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Milo's is not shutting down, just the Homewood location. The
- 4:29Speaker 3: people that they were able to relocate have the same
- 4:32Speaker 3: job title and same pay. There were thirty eight people
- 4:35Speaker 3: they had to let go, and they were offered four
- 4:37Speaker 3: months severance and the opportunity to apply for open.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Position to other locations.
- 4:42Speaker 3: And if they don't want to apply, they're helping them
- 4:44Speaker 3: with career planning like resume writing. I'm glad that they're
- 4:47Speaker 3: at least looking out for the people they let go,
- 4:49Speaker 3: because most people are like.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You're out the door. So yeah, good luck, buddy, So
- 4:53Speaker 2: good for Milo's for doing that.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Today is National Take Down your Christmas Tree Day.
- 5:00Speaker 4: There's a day for this.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Yeah. And if you were wondering why it's always January sixth,
- 5:05Speaker 3: it's because the twelve days of Christmas just ended. You're
- 5:08Speaker 3: supposed to wait until the twelve days passed before you
- 5:10Speaker 3: take it down.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Is the twelve days of Christmas?
- 5:13Speaker 2: Like the song?
- 5:13Speaker 6: You know, oh twelve days after Okay, okay, I'm following now.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I have already taken one down because I'm stick of
- 5:19Speaker 3: looking at my Christmas stuff. And if you needed a
- 5:22Speaker 3: reason to love Taylor Swift even more, she left a
- 5:25Speaker 3: six hundred dollars tip for a stadium worker during the
- 5:29Speaker 3: Kansas City Chiefs Christmas Day game.
- 5:32Speaker 2: There was a.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Concession stand worker that said that Taylor Travis and Travis
- 5:36Speaker 3: Kelsey's mother came up to her. They thanked her for
- 5:39Speaker 3: working on Christmas. They gave her a six hundred dollars
- 5:41Speaker 3: tip while wishing her Merry Christmas. The worker said she
- 5:44Speaker 3: looked at her hand after they left and counted the
- 5:47Speaker 3: money and was like, this is.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Two weeks of my pay.
- 5:50Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 5:51Speaker 2: She was super excited.
- 5:52Speaker 3: She even framed one of the one hundred dollars bills.
- 5:56Speaker 4: She should have got it signed.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I know it is awesome. That story's gone viral. I
- 6:01Speaker 3: love Taylor Swift. She always if you see her, she's
- 6:03Speaker 3: always given big tips. That's the things you need to
- 6:06Speaker 3: know more at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 6:09Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demands free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 6:12Speaker 3: There was a hostage takeover at my little cousin's engagement.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Excuse me, what so my little cousin Hannah.
- 6:20Speaker 3: By the way, thanks for listening to The Alabama Show.
- 6:23Speaker 2: I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
- 6:24Speaker 3: You know my little cousin Hannah, she is the that
- 6:29Speaker 3: was her when she was a kid.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I talk about her on the show all the time.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Her and baby Daddy had a baby. She's got. She's
- 6:34Speaker 2: a new teacher.
- 6:36Speaker 3: He proposed to her over the holidays, right, and he
- 6:39Speaker 3: called me a week before he was gonna do it.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I cried like a baby. I was like, oh my god,
- 6:46Speaker 2: I love you.
- 6:46Speaker 3: You're such a good dad deals baby, and you're such
- 6:49Speaker 3: a good boyfriend.
- 6:51Speaker 2: So he had been planning this all week.
- 6:54Speaker 3: He had a friend that owns a barn in the
- 6:56Speaker 3: middle of nowhere. He fixed up the barn, and me
- 7:00Speaker 3: and my grandmother, me Ma, me mall raised. My little
- 7:02Speaker 3: cousin Hannah and I were on our way there to
- 7:08Speaker 3: like hide so that after he did it, we could
- 7:10Speaker 3: jump out and be like eww, you know, and see
- 7:13Speaker 3: it and be there. We're on our way there, and
- 7:17Speaker 3: this poor kid, he starts panicking. He calls me and
- 7:21Speaker 3: he's like, there's a hostage takeover down the street.
- 7:25Speaker 2: There's a standoff and the cops and a fire truck
- 7:31Speaker 2: had the road blocked off to get to the barn?
- 7:35Speaker 4: Did you also get stopped on the way to yes?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Of all days, of all days, the exact street that
- 7:42Speaker 2: my little cousin is.
- 7:43Speaker 7: And she he's had this ring for months, for like
- 7:46Speaker 7: four months, she's been waiting, and of course on all
- 7:48Speaker 7: days there's a freaking hostage takeover and a standoff with
- 7:52Speaker 7: cops and some guy down the road.
- 7:54Speaker 2: So he goes.
- 7:55Speaker 3: He's panicking. He's like, where are y'all at? Are y'all
- 7:58Speaker 3: gonna come this way? He's like, there's a fire truck
- 8:00Speaker 3: blocking the whole road. When you get to the fire truck,
- 8:02Speaker 3: just tell them you're going to the engagement.
- 8:04Speaker 2: And I was like, okay.
- 8:06Speaker 3: He said, tell me you're going to the blah blah
- 8:07Speaker 3: blah farm, the people's house to the engagement. And I said, okay,
- 8:10Speaker 3: So we pull up, I'm gonna tell the firefighter and
- 8:14Speaker 3: he was like he laughed, He's like, yeah, you're good.
- 8:16Speaker 3: He goes, just don't go any further than that house
- 8:18Speaker 3: because past that barn is where the standoff was.
- 8:23Speaker 2: So so we go.
- 8:25Speaker 3: But then I was like, well, what if he says
- 8:28Speaker 3: something to Hannah because he like the lie that the
- 8:32Speaker 3: guy told Hannah maybe Daddy to get there so he
- 8:35Speaker 3: could propose with something like they're doing a yard cell
- 8:38Speaker 3: come get some jewelry.
- 8:40Speaker 2: And so he had to tell her to.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Say, I'm going to the so and so's barn, and
- 8:46Speaker 3: I was like, oh, please tell me.
- 8:47Speaker 2: He doesn't. The firefighter doesn't say are you.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Going to the engagement?
- 8:54Speaker 6: He didn't plan to tell the firefighters, And he's like, well,
- 8:58Speaker 6: I figured he'd tell the firefighter, right, did he?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yes, he told the firefighter. Did not ruin it. Okay.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I was like, she got engaged. It was perfect, but.
- 9:11Speaker 3: It's a hostage takeover and a standoff three doors down.
- 9:17Speaker 4: And we almost didn't make it.
- 9:19Speaker 6: Well, my question is, did you hear any of that
- 9:21Speaker 6: situation going on?
- 9:22Speaker 2: And the guy's good.
- 9:22Speaker 3: No, we couldn't hear anything. The guy's good. It was
- 9:25Speaker 3: on the news. He's fine.
- 9:26Speaker 2: They you know, everything's good. Okay, it ended up not
- 9:30Speaker 2: being a hostage.
- 9:31Speaker 4: We thought it was.
- 9:32Speaker 3: It was just a standoff. The guy he got the
- 9:35Speaker 3: help he needed.
- 9:36Speaker 2: He's good.
- 9:36Speaker 6: And now your cousin's going to be in a lifelong standoff.
- 9:41Speaker 2: She's getting married. But I want to know call the show,
- 9:45Speaker 2: and I.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Want you to remember this because you're going to propose
- 9:47Speaker 3: to your girlfriend at some point in the future.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Things could go wrong.
- 9:52Speaker 3: What is the worst thing that has ever happened during
- 9:55Speaker 3: your engagement?
- 9:56Speaker 2: Like, did you plan this whole engagement?
- 9:58Speaker 3: Because this poor guy was so stressy planning it for
- 10:00Speaker 3: months and then this happened. What went wrong when you proposed?
- 10:04Speaker 3: Eight three three five one BAMA is the number. It's

- 10:33Speaker 8: I was seventeen and I thought it was gonna be
- 10:35Speaker 8: some big honky door thing. And we went to the
- 10:38Speaker 8: fair and I had ate a bunch of chili dogs
- 10:41Speaker 8: and stuff. I'd knelt down in the parking lot and
- 10:43Speaker 8: I shook my pants.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I swear to God that ruined most short.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Wait when you get happened as you got down on
- 10:54Speaker 3: one knee.
- 10:55Speaker 8: Yes, I lost my balance and kind of wanted to
- 10:58Speaker 8: catch myself, like gonna read balance on up with my
- 11:00Speaker 8: stomach just let go.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and I had to ride all the way home
- 11:06Speaker 2: like that. I still didn't ask her to marry me.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I had to skip that part.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I would have not.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Been the time.
- 11:16Speaker 8: Yeah, let's just say that me and that girl did
- 11:18Speaker 8: not last like another eight months.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Well did you even get married? Did you even propose?
- 11:24Speaker 1: Ever?
- 11:25Speaker 8: I Dieah. I tried to like later on, and her
- 11:27Speaker 8: dad was like, and then, I don't blame him. I

- 11:34Speaker 8: to crack his drawers all the time.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Exactly that she saw a future of cleaning up your

- 11:57Speaker 4: I have a few ideas. At the moment, I.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Want to ask so bad, but I know she's listening
