- 2:21Speaker 4: Good morning, Welcome to the show.
- 2:23Speaker 6: Good morning, Thanks so much for having me.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Dave, thank you for being here. I know you just
- 2:27Speaker 4: had a little getaway with the family prior to school starting,
- 2:30Speaker 4: not trying to get all up in your personal business.
- 2:32Speaker 4: But how did that go? Hope, everything went well.
- 2:36Speaker 6: It was good.
- 2:37Speaker 7: We were able to go over. We went to say
- 2:40Speaker 7: it Ville and had a good time with extended family.
- 2:42Speaker 7: I had tod It slightly short to go for my work.
- 2:46Speaker 7: Yesterday was National Whistleblower Day, so I had to I
- 2:49Speaker 7: had to leave my family go to DC and head back.
- 2:51Speaker 7: That the vacation before that was great.
- 2:53Speaker 4: All right, and explain exactly, and we're going to talk
- 2:56Speaker 4: about House to Delegate stuff, but explain what National Whistleblower
- 2:59Speaker 4: Day is.
- 3:00Speaker 7: So National Whistleblower Day is a commemoration that about fifteen
- 3:05Speaker 7: years ago Congress started doing. Actually when I worked for
- 3:08Speaker 7: Senator Grassley helpedim introduced the first resolution recognizing that day.
- 3:13Speaker 6: But it's a commemoration.
- 3:15Speaker 7: It's based on a date from seventeen seventy eight when
- 3:18Speaker 7: whistleblowers during the Revolutionary War first came to Congress about
- 3:23Speaker 7: an issue within government and they were recognized and commended
- 3:26Speaker 7: by the psych Continental Congress. And so now we use
- 3:29Speaker 7: that as a day to just honor the accomplishments of
- 3:31Speaker 7: whistleblowers coming forward and to promote their protection.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Yesterday Governor Morrissey announced that August Friday, August first, Monday
- 3:43Speaker 4: August fourth, families can take advantage of savings to come
- 3:47Speaker 4: from this tax, the back to School Sales tax holiday,
- 3:51Speaker 4: a couple of days. Whatever your thoughts on that.
- 3:54Speaker 6: I think it's great. This is a wonderful opportunity, like
- 3:57Speaker 6: you say, starting.
- 3:57Speaker 7: Tomorrow goos all the way through Monday, opportunity for families
- 4:01Speaker 7: to get stuff that they might be purchasing anyway as
- 4:03Speaker 7: kids are going back to school.
- 4:05Speaker 6: We have five kids, and.
- 4:06Speaker 7: So you know, just the things on the list, clothes
- 4:10Speaker 7: that are under one hundred and twenty five dollars, or
- 4:12Speaker 7: computer school instruction materials, school supplies again, all the sorts
- 4:16Speaker 7: of things we would be buying anyway, So this weekend's
- 4:18Speaker 7: the time to do it if you want to save
- 4:20Speaker 7: some additional money.
- 4:22Speaker 4: I thought it was interesting. Of course, you know you've
- 4:23Speaker 4: been on the show several times. You do have five kids.
- 4:25Speaker 4: That would you start when you refer to your extended family?
- 4:28Speaker 4: I would say, well, isn't that's your everyday family? Five kids.
- 4:31Speaker 4: I mean, that's pretty much an extended family in its
- 4:32Speaker 4: own right.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Right, Well, you're not wrong.
- 4:35Speaker 7: But since my wife is one of five kids and
- 4:36Speaker 7: I'm one of seven kids, Okay, when he gets together,
- 4:39Speaker 7: then the Lord crew, that's for sure.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Lord, I can imagine what that Thanksgiving looks like or
- 4:44Speaker 4: Christmas morning or whatever.
- 4:45Speaker 6: Well, that's what we all.
- 4:47Speaker 7: We all went into Eighth Adventures the other day with
- 4:48Speaker 7: the whole entire five family group altogether, the whole, whole,
- 4:53Speaker 7: entire extent.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Would you do just rent the whole park? Is that
- 4:55Speaker 4: what you did?
- 4:58Speaker 6: You just play so much water you couldn't the zipline anymore.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I was gonna say, well, if you if you all
- 5:02Speaker 4: jumped in the water at the same time, it's just
- 5:03Speaker 4: all gonna, you know, go out the other side. We're
- 5:05Speaker 4: talking to Tristan lev a delicate Republican delegate from fifty
- 5:09Speaker 4: third And on a serious note here, I did want
- 5:11Speaker 4: to you want to talk a little bit about school
- 5:12Speaker 4: safety as we get ready to head back to school.
- 5:15Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just an important time.
- 5:17Speaker 7: You know, we have a lot of conversations in our
- 5:19Speaker 7: house and as people are thinking as going back to school.
- 5:22Speaker 7: Some some people already have school safety on their minds,
- 5:25Speaker 7: some don't, some don't really give it a thought. But
- 5:28Speaker 7: you know, God forbid anything ever happened in West Virginia
- 5:30Speaker 7: at one of our schools, any sort of you know,
- 5:32Speaker 7: violent incident or crisis like that. But I just think
- 5:35Speaker 7: it's an important it's a it's a helpful time to
- 5:37Speaker 7: be able to talk about these important issues. And so
- 5:40Speaker 7: the state Department of Education has a page that's on
- 5:43Speaker 7: the school safety policy and laws, a lot of different
- 5:46Speaker 7: information in there. There are a number of nonprofits like
- 5:50Speaker 7: Safe and Sounds Schools dot org that provide resources for parents,
- 5:55Speaker 7: again just to be able to talk to their kids
- 5:57Speaker 7: as they go back and help help identify safe pract
- 6:00Speaker 7: This is that can range from just you know, as
- 6:02Speaker 7: kids are walking to school, safe conduct on the street
- 6:06Speaker 7: on the roads, of course, their behavior with other students
- 6:09Speaker 7: and that ties in with the bill that got passed
- 6:12Speaker 7: during this last legislative session set up TILL one ninety
- 6:16Speaker 7: nine to try and address behavioral issues so that if
- 6:21Speaker 7: there are kids that are being dangerous or violent or
- 6:25Speaker 7: threatening around other kids, the teachers can remove them from
- 6:28Speaker 7: the classroom. And so I think that's helpful for parents
- 6:32Speaker 7: to be aware of what's in there. But again, it's
- 6:35Speaker 7: something you don't ever want to think about for some
- 6:38Speaker 7: and again for others, I know it's sometime they just
- 6:39Speaker 7: think about all the time, and so kind of finding
- 6:41Speaker 7: that balance of you know, getting reading the resources and
- 6:46Speaker 7: being prepared is helpful. This last about two weeks ago,
- 6:49Speaker 7: I went to the American Legislative Exchange Council. They're a
- 6:53Speaker 7: group that provides support to state legislators around the country,
- 6:56Speaker 7: and they had a conference in Indianapolis, and while I
- 6:59Speaker 7: was there, I met Laurie Alhadaf and she is the
- 7:04Speaker 7: mother of one of the victims from the Parkland shooting.
- 7:08Speaker 7: And so Alyssa's Law is one of the things that
- 7:12Speaker 7: after that, a number of states have passed to try
- 7:15Speaker 7: and sure the teachers have silent panic arms. Again, God forbid,
- 7:21Speaker 7: in an emergency situation, they can be able to you know,
- 7:26Speaker 7: notify law enforcement immediately, and that was something we tried to.
- 7:29Speaker 6: Get through in this last legislature.
- 7:30Speaker 7: It was originally sponsored by Delegate Jonathan Pinson, and it
- 7:34Speaker 7: didn't make it all the way. We did get a
- 7:36Speaker 7: great school mapping bill passed, and so a year from now,
- 7:40Speaker 7: the requirements of that going to effect, you know, requiring
- 7:43Speaker 7: that each county school district have the you know, the
- 7:47Speaker 7: school totally mapped out the way they need for safety
- 7:49Speaker 7: and law enforcement in case there is a crisis. But
- 7:52Speaker 7: I think Alyssa's law could be at a great additional resource.
- 7:55Speaker 7: So that's something I'm going to be focusing on in
- 7:57Speaker 7: the next legislative session. But you know, again, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 7: these things never happen, but it's really important to talk
- 8:02Speaker 7: to your kids about just being safe in general and
- 8:04Speaker 7: helping make sure they're aware.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Yeah, you're exactly right. We're talking to Delegate to Tristan
- 8:08Speaker 4: Levitt The Dave Allen Show and five eighty Line, broad
- 8:10Speaker 4: to you in part by Pinnacle Consultants. They're lead paint
- 8:12Speaker 4: inspection risk assessment services are designed to identify it to
- 8:15Speaker 4: assess the presence of lead based paint and buildings and
- 8:18Speaker 4: other structures using a three phase approach inspection, sampling, the
- 8:21Speaker 4: lab analysis and assessment report. Check out Pinnacle Corp dot net.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Because what you don't know can hurt you. Delegate, we
- 8:27Speaker 4: all saw the horrific story on the news earlier this
- 8:31Speaker 4: week about the shooting in New York, the guy who
- 8:34Speaker 4: apparently had some issues with CTE and had an issue
- 8:37Speaker 4: with the NFL and he went in there. One of
- 8:39Speaker 4: the things I took away from that tragic situation, though,
- 8:42Speaker 4: and it's it's on one hand, it's a good thing,
- 8:45Speaker 4: but on the other hand, it's a kind of a
- 8:47Speaker 4: sad commentary, is that many of the people that were
- 8:51Speaker 4: affected by this shooting, the ones that were able to
- 8:53Speaker 4: get out safely, were younger people. My younger, I mean
- 8:57Speaker 4: maybe like you know, let's say thirty and thirty and younger.
- 9:01Speaker 4: And several of them commented, they said, no, it was
- 9:04Speaker 4: a tragic situation. We didn't panic because we were trained
- 9:07Speaker 4: for this in public school. And I heard that on
- 9:10Speaker 4: the radio drive it into work on ABC News on
- 9:12Speaker 4: our morning news, and I thought, that's that's a good thing.
- 9:16Speaker 4: But it's also a sad commentary as well. Would you
- 9:19Speaker 4: not agree it is.
- 9:21Speaker 6: A sad commentary. And you know that's just a reality
- 9:24Speaker 6: though of the world we live in today. And you know,
- 9:27Speaker 6: I remember Columbine when.
- 9:28Speaker 7: I was I think I was in high school is
- 9:31Speaker 7: when it happened. And you know, are just our society
- 9:35Speaker 7: has changed a lot since then, and so many many
- 9:38Speaker 7: things are outside of our control. But you know what
- 9:41Speaker 7: is it in our control is to try and prepare
- 9:42Speaker 7: and teach our children, do them as much as we can.
- 9:45Speaker 7: But I agree, it's a horrible situation that, you know,
- 9:50Speaker 7: people know that could happen at a time and you
- 9:53Speaker 7: just pray to God that.
- 9:54Speaker 6: It does not.
- 9:55Speaker 4: I want to ask you a quick question before we
- 9:57Speaker 4: let you go, and I appreciate you taking time out
- 9:58Speaker 4: of your schedule to be here. I know you've been
- 9:59Speaker 4: really busy with the family and doing some other things
- 10:01Speaker 4: the last couple of days as we get ready to
- 10:04Speaker 4: begin to school year. But this was totally unrelated to school.
- 10:06Speaker 4: I want to ask you, I'll good put you on
- 10:07Speaker 4: the spot here. You ready, sure I knew you would be.
- 10:12Speaker 4: You're running for reelection.
- 10:14Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely, I'm excited about this next session. There's a
- 10:19Speaker 7: lot of good to do, and you know, I definitely
- 10:21Speaker 7: I had a great experience during this first session, and
- 10:24Speaker 7: there's just there are a lot of good things happening
- 10:26Speaker 7: in West Virginia. There are a lot of things that
- 10:27Speaker 7: we need to focus on, and our educational achievement is
- 10:32Speaker 7: one of those. As you're you know, honestly just bringing
- 10:36Speaker 7: economic development and investment and other things. But you know,
- 10:40Speaker 7: I'm wanting to continue to keep my sleeves rolled up
- 10:44Speaker 7: and do whatever I can, So I definitely running for reelection.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Well, the reason I have to ask is because it's
- 10:48Speaker 4: that time, you know, when you when you know next year,
- 10:50Speaker 4: people are starting to look ahead, and I just wanted
- 10:52Speaker 4: to I've asked all I've had. I think you're the
- 10:54Speaker 4: third delegate I've had on this week, and I have
- 10:56Speaker 4: another one coming up tomorrow, and I'm asking all of them.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Are you running for re election? So far in three
- 11:00Speaker 4: for three, everybody's running for re election, So there's that,
- 11:02Speaker 4: so we wish you the best.
- 11:03Speaker 6: You must have a positive effect on them, then.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, exactly, that's what it is. You want to
- 11:08Speaker 4: believe it at all? Right, DELI get to Tristan Levitt,
- 11:11Speaker 4: Republican from the fifty third. I do appreciate you taking
- 11:14Speaker 4: time at your schedule. Thanks a lot man, We'll talk soon.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Good Thank you, all right, Tristan Lovitt Again, I gotta
- 11:20Speaker 4: ask them, you know, because sometimes it doesn't happen very
- 11:23Speaker 4: often that somebody runs for the legislature and wins and
- 11:26Speaker 4: is a one and done. Sometimes it does. But but
- 11:29Speaker 4: I mean by their own accord, I mean, and yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 4: I just got to ask. But Ave Villan showing five

- 12:16Speaker 4: to get him on the show this morning, reached out
- 12:18Speaker 4: to him, but he had a doctor's appointment. I guess
- 12:20Speaker 4: he's undergoing some kind of you know, he's got to
- 12:23Speaker 4: make sure of that because he's an old guy. You know,
- 12:26Speaker 4: he's my age. That's why I said that he's got
- 12:28Speaker 4: to make sure that he's fit enough to throw out

- 15:50Speaker 4: So you think I'm not totally cracky. We were Amanda
- 15:53Speaker 4: and I were interviewing Ryan Wilson, who's the sports guy
- 15:56Speaker 4: with with with her TV station. Uh and and I
- 16:01Speaker 4: had notes in front of me of who we were
- 16:02Speaker 4: talking to, because I have a tendency to forget, I said.
- 16:06Speaker 4: I jumped in and I said, hey, Ryan, and then
- 16:10Speaker 4: I said, this is Dave. And then for some reason
- 16:12Speaker 4: I picked up Wilson because that's Ryan's last name, Ryan Wilson.
- 16:15Speaker 4: So I said to hey, this is Dave Wilson. And
- 16:18Speaker 4: Dave Wilson co host a talk line in Morgantown. Just
- 16:21Speaker 4: happened to be listening, and thought that was hilarious. Sent
- 16:24Speaker 4: me at tex and said, I always knew why was
- 16:25Speaker 4: your hero? So keep in mind you're not the only
- 16:29Speaker 4: one that gets confused. Perfectly, I called myself the wrong
- 16:31Speaker 4: name yesterday, so there's that.
- 16:33Speaker 3: I just want to give you guys the wrong promotion.
- 16:35Speaker 3: We're in the middle of a nine game homestance. That's
- 16:37Speaker 3: why my brain's a little foggy right now. But with
- 16:39Speaker 3: it being Thursday, it is Thirsty Thursday tonight. A part
- 16:42Speaker 3: of that, you get one dollar sixteen ounce domestic beer
- 16:45Speaker 3: or one dollar Waters, which everyone you prefer for Thirsty
- 16:48Speaker 3: Thursday until seven thirty and then it bumps up to
- 16:51Speaker 3: four dollars. Still a good deal. Friday is one of
- 16:55Speaker 3: our big promotions. Every Friday is a giveaway, and this
- 16:57Speaker 3: Friday is a shirt giveaway thanks to you Mark Health
- 17:00Speaker 3: and also the Mountain. And then the big one we're
- 17:03Speaker 3: talking about is Eighties Night this upcoming Saturday. Really excited
- 17:06Speaker 3: for that with postgame fireworks.
- 17:08Speaker 4: All right, so what all is going to go on
- 17:10Speaker 4: at Eighties Night? The greatest decade?
- 17:11Speaker 3: By the way, I'll take your word for that one,
- 17:14Speaker 3: Dave ye.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Oh, cut deep, deep cuts, because I'm sure you weren't
- 17:20Speaker 4: around the.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Night I was born in ninety six, so yep, sorry,
- 17:24Speaker 3: that hurts all right, but Eighties Night, of course you
- 17:27Speaker 3: can look for eighties music. Our on field MC has
- 17:31Speaker 3: the brightest outfit I think I've ever seen on a
- 17:34Speaker 3: grown man, So I'm very excited for that one. A
- 17:38Speaker 3: lot of it is postgame fireworks with the music. Shockley's
- 17:40Speaker 3: gonna be there for the first pitch. He's gonna be
- 17:42Speaker 3: there to interact with fans. But we're gonna have some
- 17:44Speaker 3: really fun in game stuff, an air guitar competition, a
- 17:47Speaker 3: headbanging competition, and my favorite that I'm excited for, we're
- 17:50Speaker 3: gonna have gen z Or's go on to the dugout
- 17:52Speaker 3: and we're gonna put an image up on the video
- 17:54Speaker 3: board or play a sound and see if they can
- 17:56Speaker 3: name that. Ees thing I want like a dial up tone.
- 18:00Speaker 3: I want to see a cassette tape up there. I'm
- 18:03Speaker 3: excited for it.
- 18:04Speaker 4: So how are you going to pick the just random
- 18:06Speaker 4: people out of the crowd?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yeah, random people usually people can If you want to participate,
- 18:09Speaker 3: you can go to our guest services are fan assistants
- 18:11Speaker 3: booth on the first base side and sign up to participate.
- 18:14Speaker 3: But usually our promo team is kind of eyeing for
- 18:16Speaker 3: the for the victims out there.
- 18:18Speaker 4: The victims is a good way to put it. And
- 18:20Speaker 4: the the interesting thing about you know things like that.
- 18:22Speaker 4: And I talked about this a couple of weeks ago.
- 18:24Speaker 4: We've all seen these videos on YouTube and whatnot or
- 18:26Speaker 4: TikTok or whatever about. You know, you get somebody that's
- 18:30Speaker 4: younger and try to have them use it. We did.
- 18:32Speaker 4: We did this experiment a couple of weeks ago with
- 18:34Speaker 4: one of the younger folks in the building and having
- 18:36Speaker 4: them use a rotary tellels. But it's all relative because
- 18:41Speaker 4: many of us old heads. You put us in an
- 18:44Speaker 4: environment where we're going to try to use something that's
- 18:47Speaker 4: relatively new. We're going to struggle with a little bit too,
- 18:49Speaker 4: So tell the gen z or is not to feel
- 18:51Speaker 4: too badly.
- 18:52Speaker 12: I don't.
- 18:52Speaker 4: That's exciting though.
- 18:54Speaker 3: It's just fun to poke fun at people, you know,
- 18:55Speaker 3: It's it's just so exciting.
- 18:57Speaker 4: We need in the world is more people making fun.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Of it, exactly, So baseball's here for what we are here.
- 19:02Speaker 4: What we need more of is people making people laugh
- 19:05Speaker 4: and having fun and not taking everything so dang seriously,
- 19:08Speaker 4: that's what we need. Editorial comment there.
- 19:10Speaker 3: For me, but love that. But yeah, we're excited to
- 19:13Speaker 3: have that at the ballpark again. Posting fireworks is always
- 19:17Speaker 3: a lot of fun. We're nearing down to the end
- 19:18Speaker 3: of season. We only have about a month and a
- 19:21Speaker 3: half left of home games unless we make the playoffs,
- 19:23Speaker 3: So make sure you're coming out to the ballpark too
- 19:25Speaker 3: to enjoy some summer baseball before we get ready for
- 19:28Speaker 3: late the night.
- 19:28Speaker 4: All right, I got a text here for you. This says,
- 19:31Speaker 4: for those of us at the Dirty Birds game, will
- 19:33Speaker 4: you please give scoring updates to the TBT game tonight.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Yes.
- 19:37Speaker 4: I can do that absolutely, because the person that would
- 19:39Speaker 4: do that would be you.
- 19:40Speaker 3: It would be me for on air, and then for
- 19:42Speaker 3: the PA announcer. I'll just text them the updates and they, knowing,
- 19:46Speaker 3: knowing our staff, they're going to be checking things off.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Yeah, Well it's an exciting time. And you know, with
- 19:51Speaker 4: the with with TBT, I mean, it's it's just been
- 19:53Speaker 4: such a shot in the arm of the summer here
- 19:55Speaker 4: and I mean this team, you know, and I know
- 19:57Speaker 4: you guys get your own thing going on, but you
- 19:59Speaker 4: are hearing for Best Virginia as well, because this is
- 20:02Speaker 4: this is pretty awesome.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Of course, we had half of our staff, including some
- 20:05Speaker 3: of our players and coaching staff, were at the game
- 20:08Speaker 3: on Monday, on our one off night, so definitely we
- 20:11Speaker 3: want to go support them.
- 20:12Speaker 4: And how cool is that? I mean, because not only
- 20:14Speaker 4: not only were you guys there, but we also had
- 20:17Speaker 4: members of the West Virginia team in the basketball Gas
- 20:20Speaker 4: was there as well.
- 20:20Speaker 3: It just makes it so much more fun. Not being
- 20:23Speaker 3: from West Virginia, not being from Charleston, and I didn't
- 20:25Speaker 3: really understand what this community was like. And I think
- 20:29Speaker 3: that's a perfect example.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I just got a note here from our Metro
- 20:32Speaker 4: News Midday producer Stephanie that we just found out that
- 20:35Speaker 4: the Emverlin team will be in blue tonight, So we
- 20:38Speaker 4: want to encourage best Virginia fans to wear gold into
- 20:41Speaker 4: a gold rush at the Conliseum tonight. And yeah, and
- 20:46Speaker 4: so I think Veronica was going to try to get
- 20:47Speaker 4: with us on that, but if not, we'll give you
- 20:49Speaker 4: the information now. And so we'll talk about that a
- 20:52Speaker 4: little bit later on. All right, what else is going
- 20:54Speaker 4: on throughout the weekend there? What are we doing on Sunday?
- 20:56Speaker 3: Sunday is our Princess Night. We're going to have Anna
- 20:59Speaker 3: and Elsa Wana and Mary Bell, they will all be
- 21:02Speaker 3: here to take photos with fans. We also have a
- 21:04Speaker 3: VIP meet and greet that's specific for them. If you
- 21:07Speaker 3: do that, go through our social media, buy your ticket there.
- 21:10Speaker 3: You get entry early at one thirty. You get a
- 21:15Speaker 3: buffet as a part of that ticket and exclusive meet
- 21:18Speaker 3: and greet with the princesses. And if you don't want
- 21:21Speaker 3: to do that, you just want to come in because
- 21:22Speaker 3: Sunday's kids are free. We will have the princesses walking
- 21:25Speaker 3: around starting at two thirty.
- 21:26Speaker 4: It's pretty good. So how's everything going to overall at
- 21:29Speaker 4: the ballpark this season? I mean, not just on the field.
- 21:31Speaker 4: But how just what's the mood over at Go Mark Ballpark?
- 21:33Speaker 4: How are things going with the Dirty Birds?
- 21:35Speaker 9: It's good.
- 21:35Speaker 3: It's a loaded question when you're asking me in the
- 21:37Speaker 3: middle of a tenday home stands. So I'm a little
- 21:39Speaker 3: tired right now. It's a lot of fun.
- 21:41Speaker 13: You know.
- 21:42Speaker 3: How can you be mad when you're working in baseball?
- 21:44Speaker 3: You know, it's so much fun working here. The staff
- 21:47Speaker 3: is ready. Where May was tough because we had about
- 21:50Speaker 3: twenty one home games with the Birds and now we're
- 21:53Speaker 3: just seeing the end of season coming. We want to
- 21:55Speaker 3: make sure that all of these last minute promotions, but
- 21:57Speaker 3: the last promotions are some of our best ones yet.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Allep talking with Joe Garnt, the Dirty Birds, Dave Valance
- 22:02Speaker 4: showing five eighty Live is broad to part by Fresh
- 22:04Speaker 4: Air Filters of Tay's Valley Fresh Airs, your trusted filter

- 22:09Speaker 4: four four zero one one zero four or visit fresh
- 22:12Speaker 4: Air Filters dot us because everyone deserves fresh air. Now
- 22:16Speaker 4: did I see did I read this the other night?
- 22:18Speaker 4: It wasn't at the game that you guys set a
- 22:20Speaker 4: record the other night. We'll talk about this with the
- 22:22Speaker 4: with there's a home run the home run record.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Yes, this was in Long Island. I want to say.
- 22:27Speaker 3: The date was July twentieth, and we had ten home
- 22:32Speaker 3: runs in one game, and that ties the professional record,
- 22:35Speaker 3: not just the Atlantic League or not just minor league
- 22:37Speaker 3: baseball and all of professional baseball. Ten home runs in
- 22:40Speaker 3: one game tied it.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Ten homers in game.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I think the last team to do it was the
- 22:44Speaker 3: Toronto Blue Jo That's what I was thinking. It was
- 22:46Speaker 3: tied with the Blue j I think it was nineteen
- 22:47Speaker 3: eighty seven, so.
- 22:49Speaker 4: That ties the professional record. Last night, again you said
- 22:51Speaker 4: not just I mean with those many home runs, you
- 22:53Speaker 4: probably hit one, right.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Right exactly, mean I just thought it, and that's exactly
- 22:56Speaker 3: what happened.
- 22:57Speaker 4: I mean ten home runs. That's an incredible feat. Because
- 23:00Speaker 4: i'd actually seen something on ESPN about that and I
- 23:03Speaker 4: meant to make a mental note of it, and well
- 23:04Speaker 4: I forgot. But that's that's incredible, and for you know,
- 23:09Speaker 4: the Charleston Dirty Birds will be getting love on ESPN
- 23:11Speaker 4: for doing that's that's pretty good stuff.
- 23:13Speaker 3: It is special. I think it was six different guys
- 23:15Speaker 3: at home runs, so some guys hit multiple home runs
- 23:17Speaker 3: that day too, so it was it was a good game,
- 23:18Speaker 3: and these guys can hit. So it's a fun, fun
- 23:21Speaker 3: time right now to be a dirty Beard.
- 23:22Speaker 4: And how many runs did you put up?
- 23:24Speaker 8: Total?
- 23:25Speaker 4: I mean, I know you've got home runs, but how many?
- 23:26Speaker 3: How many seventeen seventeen?
- 23:28Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 23:28Speaker 4: And how many did the opposition get?
- 23:30Speaker 6: Long?
- 23:30Speaker 3: Sixteen? So it was needed.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Well, I was going to say, they said you could
- 23:35Speaker 4: hit that night, and maybe the pitching not so much,
- 23:37Speaker 4: but just on that one night because you've had a
- 23:39Speaker 4: good pitching exactly. All right, Seventeen to sixty was the
- 23:42Speaker 4: final score. We're talked with Jill Garrett of the Dirty Birds.
- 23:44Speaker 4: All right, so give us all the details again, kind
- 23:47Speaker 4: of review. What's going on between now and Sunday at
- 23:49Speaker 4: the ballpark?
- 23:49Speaker 2: Yep?
- 23:49Speaker 3: So Tonight Thursday Thursday one dollar sixteen ounce domestic beer
- 23:53Speaker 3: and one dollar water until seven thirty, then it bumps
- 23:55Speaker 3: up to four dollars. On a Friday is a T
- 23:57Speaker 3: shirt giveaway presented by Martial Health and The Mountain. On
- 24:01Speaker 3: Saturday is posting fireworks with Eighties Night, and Sunday is
- 24:05Speaker 3: Princess Night where you can meet Anna, Elsa, Marrabell and Mulwana.
- 24:08Speaker 3: All information go to dirtybirdsbaseball dot Com.
- 24:11Speaker 4: And do a great job on your social media pages
- 24:12Speaker 4: as well. You're on all those as well. Joe Garren
- 24:14Speaker 4: or the Dirty Birds appreciate it. Unfortunately, I'm not going
- 24:17Speaker 4: to be there Saturday night. I'm actually going to be
- 24:19Speaker 4: out of state this weekend. But if you could keep
- 24:21Speaker 4: an eye on Shockley, because I mean, he's an older guy.
- 24:25Speaker 3: I heard he had a doctor's appointment. Hopefully, hopefully he'll
- 24:27Speaker 3: get he'll get clear to be able to come and
- 24:29Speaker 3: throw the first thing.
- 24:29Speaker 4: He'll be there with all that hair, you know, so
- 24:33Speaker 4: it'll go along with the head banging and the air
- 24:35Speaker 4: guitar contest and everything else you're doing over there for
- 24:37Speaker 4: eighties Night again, sponsored in part by our sister station
- 24:41Speaker 4: ninety eight seven of Mouth and Joe Garon. Always a
- 24:42Speaker 4: pleasure to have you on the show.
- 24:43Speaker 3: We'll talk again, Sue, absolutely, thank you.
- 24:45Speaker 4: All right, thanks lot. You can go ahead and take
- 24:46Speaker 4: off because I gotta do a couple of other things here.
- 24:48Speaker 4: I appreciate you stopping by the studio. Thanks a lot,
- 24:50Speaker 4: Joe Garan and the Dirty Birds Again, I did want
- 24:53Speaker 4: to throw this out here about the TVT tonight. We
- 24:55Speaker 4: have received information again that their opposition tonight, they're going
- 25:00Speaker 4: to be in blue. And so the folks at the
- 25:02Speaker 4: Colosseuma Convention Center and with Best Virginia are urging if
- 25:06Speaker 4: you're coming to the game tonight over at the Colosseuma
- 25:08Speaker 4: Convention Center, please wear gold because they are doing a
- 25:12Speaker 4: gold rush for the game tonight. The tickets will be
- 25:15Speaker 4: available at the box office opening at ten this morning.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Tip office set for six o'clock. And somebody had asked
- 25:20Speaker 4: if the game was going to be televised. It is
- 25:22Speaker 4: going to be televised, But why would you want to
- 25:25Speaker 4: watch it on television when you can listen to it
- 25:27Speaker 4: on Metro News. That's what I'm saying. But yeah, I
- 25:29Speaker 4: do believe it is going to be televised. Text says
- 25:34Speaker 4: Dave went to the TBT Tuesday, had a great time. However,
- 25:37Speaker 4: the lower level seats are god awful. Mayor Goodwin promised
- 25:41Speaker 4: on your show a while back they would be fixed.
- 25:43Speaker 4: She needs to keep her word. Thanks, All right, all right,
- 25:45Speaker 4: Mayor's office, you're on the clock, okay, So if I
- 25:49Speaker 4: know they listened to the show every day, So if
- 25:51Speaker 4: folks at Mayor good One's office they need those seats fixed.
- 25:54Speaker 6: All right.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Follow up from some text we had from the show yesterday.
- 26:02Speaker 4: We talked to the new Dunbar Police chief John Garton
- 26:05Speaker 4: on the show yesterday. Text says Dunbar citizens are scared.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Crime is rampant. The chief is not fooling us as
- 26:12Speaker 4: it's extra well. He's been on the job since January.
- 26:15Speaker 4: Needs more officers, as he talked about yesterday, so hopefully
- 26:20Speaker 4: they'll they'll get it taken care of. Text says this
- 26:26Speaker 4: is from yesterday. Way to carry water for the wealthy elites,
- 26:30Speaker 4: Dave here to break down the details of millionaires, what
- 26:33Speaker 4: they do, how they earn their money, what their wages
- 26:36Speaker 4: and compensations are, not just vague generalities about how you
- 26:41Speaker 4: could be a millionaire too, and quit whining about high prices.
- 26:43Speaker 4: I have a long memory and we're called vividly you
- 26:45Speaker 4: Dave crying about inflation. Okay, I don't know that I
- 26:50Speaker 4: did that, but okay I will. I will if I did,
- 26:54Speaker 4: I will own that vague generalities. Average millionaire in America
- 27:00Speaker 4: work sixty seventy hours a week. It's available. You got
- 27:02Speaker 4: to get off here, rear in and go make it happen.
- 27:05Speaker 4: That simple Tex says, the dirty birds have done a
- 27:11Speaker 4: great job of keeping my family away. When they cease
- 27:14Speaker 4: taking good old American money, I stopped going and won't
- 27:16Speaker 4: go back until they accept money again, make the dirty
- 27:18Speaker 4: birds normally again, start accepting currency again. Well that's probably
- 27:22Speaker 4: not gonna happen, textter. I appreciate the text, but I'm
- 27:25Speaker 4: gonna say it's probably not gonna happen, because that's just
- 27:29Speaker 4: we're moving that way. Marshall University announcing last week that
- 27:32Speaker 4: they would no longer be accepting cash at the ballgame.
- 27:36Speaker 4: So if you're gonna get a beer, you gotta get
- 27:37Speaker 4: a soda or whatever, a hot dog or whatever at
- 27:41Speaker 4: the jon. Then if you go down for a Marshall game,
- 27:44Speaker 4: you can't use cash. They made an announcement last week.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Dex said, I'm so glad to live in a country
- 27:48Speaker 4: where mass shootings are so pervasive that it's nonchalant when
- 27:51Speaker 4: one happens. Our kids are trained on how not to
- 27:54Speaker 4: be a target, and Republicans, who wear God in their
- 27:56Speaker 4: sleeves like hypocrites, as Jesus said, offer only prayer and
- 28:00Speaker 4: admit it's just a fact of life that our kids
- 28:02Speaker 4: are targets. Republicans have no honor or integrity as a text. Uh,
- 28:10Speaker 4: Dave says the texture. Will the Mike Stewart Center confirmation
- 28:14Speaker 4: be televised? I don't know, Uh, maybe somewhere from what
- 28:18Speaker 4: I understand about the Stuart confirmation, and this is we're
- 28:23Speaker 4: talking about s Senator Mike Stewart, who is up for
- 28:25Speaker 4: confirmation to a new role in the Trump administration today.
- 28:28Speaker 4: There's actually several people that are going to be It's
- 28:32Speaker 4: we call it into business, a cattle call when everybody
- 28:34Speaker 4: comes together. And that's what I understand is that we're
- 28:36Speaker 4: keeping a close eye on it. Brad mcilahanney and I
- 28:38Speaker 4: talked about it this morning. Don't know if it will
- 28:40Speaker 4: be televised, but it's just one of many confirmations that
- 28:44Speaker 4: are scheduled to take place today or hearings I should
- 28:46Speaker 4: say about about confirmations. Let's see can the rent for
- 28:55Speaker 4: the ballpark? Well, she's already gone. Say if there will
- 28:59Speaker 4: be fireworks after this game and sow times since they
- 29:02Speaker 4: choose to use ultra megablazed fireworks also extra loud, and
- 29:05Speaker 4: I live two blocks away. I need to make sure
- 29:07Speaker 4: my dogs are inside and say that's after Saturday's night's game.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Texture David's text is neither here nor they're regarding your
- 29:16Speaker 4: show's subjects. So far, that's fine, but Jerome Palle's a
- 29:19Speaker 4: terrible fed chair. Whoever hired that fool needs to be fired,
- 29:25Speaker 4: says a Texture. Texas man. I've never heard so much venom,
- 29:28Speaker 4: envy and hate for people that have more than others
- 29:31Speaker 4: from these textures. Grow up people, says a Texture. I
- 29:34Speaker 4: said this once before that and it old boy. It
- 29:40Speaker 4: elicit some texts. We'll say this and we'll go to break.
- 29:42Speaker 6: Ryan.
- 29:43Speaker 4: They talk about the wars in this country and the
- 29:46Speaker 4: culture wars. There's a war in success in this country
- 29:49Speaker 4: and it's been going on for some time.
- 29:50Speaker 6: I'll leave that there.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Twenty three minutes away from ten, we'll take a break.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Joe Stevens, the ultra successful, always entertaining and non controversy.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Joe steven from the City of Nitro. TASA Nitro is
- 30:02Speaker 4: going on Saturday. We'll talk to him when we come

- 32:23Speaker 4: Text says Mike Stewart had a death in his family.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Prayers to all of them. Yeah, I saw that. I
- 32:27Speaker 4: believe it was Senator Stewart's ants that was. I think
- 32:32Speaker 4: it was his aunt that was allegedly killed by a
- 32:33Speaker 4: drunk driver, and so if if I'm incorrect about that,
- 32:38Speaker 4: I'll apologize, But yeah, it is our Our thoughts and
- 32:42Speaker 4: prayers certainly go out to him and his family. Tex says,
- 32:47Speaker 4: first time on sixty four West since I retired in December.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Please police, do something. Run the speed limit at your
- 32:53Speaker 4: own risk, dangerously stupid. As a texture, textures are coming
- 32:57Speaker 4: alive here today. Man didn't even really solicit tech because
- 33:00Speaker 4: of all of the guests I have on the show today, Bey,
- 33:02Speaker 4: We're always happy to have you here, Tex says. And
- 33:05Speaker 4: just an fy I to those magas who don't know
- 33:07Speaker 4: which is most likely the case. Donald Trump hired Jerome Palell,
- 33:10Speaker 4: says a Texter. Another texta says the same thing. Donald
- 33:14Speaker 4: Trump hired Jerome Palell in twenty eighteen, so I agree
- 33:16Speaker 4: whoever hired him should be fired. Bye bye, Donny says
- 33:20Speaker 4: a texture. Big happenings in Nitro this Saturday, the Taste
- 33:24Speaker 4: of Nitro is going on. Joe Stevens with the City
- 33:26Speaker 4: of Nitro joins us now. Good morning, sir, and welcome to.
- 33:29Speaker 8: The show Non Controversial. Where deco from.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Well, in your official role as a spokesperson for the
- 33:39Speaker 4: City of Nitro, you're non controversial. Away, you're extremely controversial.
- 33:45Speaker 8: To be debated. But talking about the Taste of Nitro.
- 33:49Speaker 8: I got try non controversial event going on in Nitro
- 33:54Speaker 8: on Saturday. It's gonna be a it's gonna be a
- 33:57Speaker 8: good time, David. It's a fundraising event that has been
- 34:03Speaker 8: going on for a number of years and it is
- 34:05Speaker 8: to raise money for the Nitro Mission Team. The Nitro
- 34:09Speaker 8: Mission Team runs the Nitro Food Pantry, which just does
- 34:13Speaker 8: a bunch of great things for the City of Nitro
- 34:16Speaker 8: and the residence. And the event on Saturday will go
- 34:19Speaker 8: from twelve until four and it'll be from It'll be
- 34:23Speaker 8: right there at Living Memorial Park and that will be happening,
- 34:28Speaker 8: Like I said, twelve to four, but it's right at
- 34:30Speaker 8: Second Avenue and twenty first Street. Just lots of good
- 34:33Speaker 8: food and that's right up your alley.
- 34:34Speaker 4: I want to hear about the food, so let's break
- 34:37Speaker 4: it down what do we got food wise for the
- 34:38Speaker 4: taste of Nitro.
- 34:40Speaker 8: Well, we've got everything has been fixed and served right
- 34:44Speaker 8: there on site. We've got hamburgers, we've got hot dogs,
- 34:48Speaker 8: we've got Italian sausages, we've got a lot of the
- 34:52Speaker 8: condiments of ice cream, and we've got of course, we've
- 34:55Speaker 8: got pepperoni rolls.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 34:57Speaker 8: But what people will do they will show up and
- 35:00Speaker 8: just buy tickets, and tickets will get them the food
- 35:03Speaker 8: that's being served by the various churches in Nitro. They've
- 35:07Speaker 8: all come together and they're volunteering their time and raising
- 35:11Speaker 8: money for the Nitro mission team. Again, they run the
- 35:16Speaker 8: Nitro pantry and every Tuesday there's they they they open
- 35:21Speaker 8: up and they help a lot of residents in the area.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Talk about how the tickets will work. You got to
- 35:27Speaker 4: buy your tickets for this. How many tickets do you get?
- 35:29Speaker 4: What's the pricing? How does how does all that work?
- 35:32Speaker 8: It's a bucket ticket, five for you know, you five
- 35:36Speaker 8: for you know, it's a it's a dollar ticket and
- 35:40Speaker 8: you can get your sausages for like three tickets, or
- 35:43Speaker 8: your hot dogs for like three tickets, that sort of thing.
- 35:46Speaker 8: You just take your tickets up there'll be different tables
- 35:50Speaker 8: where you can go up and buy your tickets. Something
- 35:52Speaker 8: I definitely wanted to mention is that the city of
- 35:55Speaker 8: Nitro with Secure Net out of South Charleton, which provides
- 36:00Speaker 8: the fiber service in Nitro, they are giving away one
- 36:05Speaker 8: hundred school backpacks filled with various things like ear buds
- 36:11Speaker 8: and just different school supplies that will be needed with
- 36:15Speaker 8: school starting in just about a week or so.
- 36:19Speaker 4: It's good stuff and I do will do want to
- 36:20Speaker 4: mention that, speaking of the folks of Secure Net, our
- 36:24Speaker 4: Cissusation ninety eight seven, A Mountain Wild Wonderful Classic Rock
- 36:27Speaker 4: will be broadcasting live from their courtesy of the folks
- 36:30Speaker 4: to Secure Net. Steve Animal is going to be there,
- 36:31Speaker 4: So you're gonna have to put up with Animal on
- 36:33Speaker 4: Saturday too, you know that, right.
- 36:35Speaker 8: Well, I can do that. Animals also got to put
- 36:39Speaker 8: up with me.
- 36:39Speaker 4: There you go the rual side.
- 36:41Speaker 8: Of things in this equation. But also we will have
- 36:45Speaker 8: a foam dome and a swip inside for the kids
- 36:49Speaker 8: to enjoy, and there'll be a kid zone there, so
- 36:52Speaker 8: come on out and scrub a dub's kind of thing.
- 36:55Speaker 8: That foam dome is so cool. You just go in
- 36:57Speaker 8: there and and they end up look seeking like a
- 37:00Speaker 8: foam snowman or snowboy or snowgirl, as it.
- 37:03Speaker 4: May be explain in night you're where this stuff is
- 37:06Speaker 4: taking it's taking place again.
- 37:10Speaker 8: It's at Living Memorial Park, just one block off of
- 37:13Speaker 8: First Avenue or Route twenty five, right next to City
- 37:16Speaker 8: Hall and the Fire Department. And actually the CVB is
- 37:20Speaker 8: right there and it will be right at second and
- 37:23Speaker 8: twenty first Street.
- 37:24Speaker 4: All right, Joe, as always, it's pleasure to have you
- 37:27Speaker 4: on the show. Great event, and the weather absolutely the
- 37:30Speaker 4: Spencers and the Brian Hughes of the world have done
- 37:33Speaker 4: a fantastic job with the weather because once we get
- 37:35Speaker 4: through today, there's some storms on the prow another hot day,
- 37:38Speaker 4: but it's going to move out of here by tomorrow.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Great for Live on the Levee tomorrow night, but it's
- 37:42Speaker 4: also going to be great for your event on Saturday
- 37:45Speaker 4: as well. So can't complain about the weather, especially when
- 37:48Speaker 4: you compare and contrast to what we've had over the
- 37:50Speaker 4: last couple of weeks. So come on out there and
- 37:52Speaker 4: enjoy it.
- 37:54Speaker 8: Hey, it will be a fun time and for a
- 37:56Speaker 8: good cause. Dave have to pat you on the back.
- 37:59Speaker 8: I know you're big Cincinnati Reds fan. Big trade for you, Yes,
- 38:02Speaker 8: snap the third Basement from Pittsburgh.
- 38:05Speaker 4: I saw that that's not going to make Dave Weekly
- 38:08Speaker 4: very happy, or maybe it will make you happy. I
- 38:10Speaker 4: don't know. He's on vacation this week, so I don't
- 38:12Speaker 4: have to text him and see what he thinks about that. Hey, Joe,
- 38:14Speaker 4: I appreciate you being here. Man, Thanks a lot, Hey, safriend.
- 38:18Speaker 4: All right, again, that event is happening this Saturday in
- 38:21Speaker 4: Nitro and again our sister Station ninety eight seven of
- 38:24Speaker 4: the Mountain Wild wonderful classic rock Steve Animal will be
- 38:26Speaker 4: their lives. Come on out and help out a great cause,
- 38:29Speaker 4: the Nitro Mission and lots of great food, the taste
- 38:32Speaker 4: of Nitro. Can't complain about the weather because it's going
- 38:35Speaker 4: to be absolutely fantastic. Let's go back to the text.
- 38:38Speaker 4: I don't know what's up with the Texters today. Man,
- 38:40Speaker 4: everybody's got something to say, and that's fine.
- 38:42Speaker 9: O G.
- 38:43Speaker 4: Working sixty to seventy hours a week guarantees I'll be
- 38:46Speaker 4: a millionaire and no need to talk about the actual
- 38:48Speaker 4: wage amount. Dave, I bet you're a billionaire with all
- 38:50Speaker 4: the hours you work. Quit carrying water for the elites.
- 38:53Speaker 4: I'm go leave that one alone, Texas, Dave, I'm your
- 38:56Speaker 4: Florida listener who used to live there. You're so right
- 38:58Speaker 4: about the war and success. I'm successful because I busted
- 39:01Speaker 4: my butt to get there. I was paid very well.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Not many out there are flight medics who landed on
- 39:07Speaker 4: the interstate or an open field to save lives. I
- 39:09Speaker 4: did that.
- 39:09Speaker 6: Well.
- 39:09Speaker 4: Thank you, texture whomever you are, for your service. I
- 39:15Speaker 4: do appreciate that. Dave. Please bring someone on your program
- 39:19Speaker 4: to discuss the repair and paving projects for our secondary roads.
- 39:24Speaker 4: We as a state deserve better secondary roads. Tex says, sorry,
- 39:29Speaker 4: but I got to ask. Since winter earbuds required school supplies,
- 39:32Speaker 4: I don't know about them being I guess they're required.
- 39:35Speaker 4: I don't have kids or grandkids in school, so I
- 39:37Speaker 4: don't are anywhere for that matter. But I don't know.
- 39:39Speaker 4: But I do know because we'll be doing our backpack,
- 39:42Speaker 4: our beat back attack next week, and I do know
- 39:45Speaker 4: that is an in demand thing. Is the era is
- 39:47Speaker 4: the earbuds? I'm presuming because I know in Kanawha County
- 39:51Speaker 4: every student is given an iPad. I'm for their work,
- 39:56Speaker 4: and I'm presuming that that would be so they can study,
- 40:00Speaker 4: you know, I guess I don't know, but yeah, it's
- 40:03Speaker 4: that and water bottles. They have to have their own
- 40:05Speaker 4: water bottle in many school systems. That seems to be
- 40:07Speaker 4: the big thing gone of the days of the trapper keepers.
- 40:11Speaker 4: It looks like just really dated myself there. It's thirteen
- 40:13Speaker 4: minutes away from ten Metro News Midday with thirteen News
- 40:17Speaker 4: and Tonight Live anchor Manda Bear to me, except no
- 40:20Speaker 4: Amanda today, it's just me on the show. I'll be
- 40:22Speaker 4: flying soda. We're gonna spend more time talking about the
- 40:24Speaker 4: TBT West Virginia now being one went away from playing
- 40:28Speaker 4: for the one million dollar prize. Daniel Woods for the
- 40:30Speaker 4: Metro News Sports team will be here to talk about that.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Our old buddy Rob Cornelius's gonna stop by. We're gonna
- 40:36Speaker 4: get a first hand account of the tsunami situation in Hawaii.
- 40:40Speaker 4: The West Virginia Teacher of the Year who just happens
- 40:43Speaker 4: to teach in the PoCA area and happens to be
- 40:46Speaker 4: in Hawaii on vacation, so we're gonna check in on him.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Mentioned earlier some severe weather on the Prime, but the
- 40:51Speaker 4: weekend shaping up to be fantastic good news for events
- 40:54Speaker 4: like the Taste of Nitro Live on the Levee and more.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Meteorologies show Fitzwater will join us to talk about it.
- 40:58Speaker 4: There's a big mind rescue event going not at at WVU.
- 41:01Speaker 4: We'll get into that, plus mentioned earlier. We are monitoring
- 41:04Speaker 4: the confirmation process for Senator Mike Stewart as he stands
- 41:07Speaker 4: before the US Senate Finance Committee attempting to become a
- 41:09Speaker 4: leader within the Department of Health and Human Services. He'd
- 41:13Speaker 4: be serving as general counsel for the department within the
- 41:16Speaker 4: Trump administration if he's chosen. That hearing set to begin
- 41:18Speaker 4: at ten, and I'm told, as I mentioned earlier, there
- 41:21Speaker 4: are several other confirmations being considered around that time, so
- 41:24Speaker 4: the actual time for Senator Stewart is kind of TBA.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Brad and Jeff and the folks are keeping an eye
- 41:29Speaker 4: on that. Jeff Jenkins will stop bye with the latest

- 45:27Speaker 19: So we just found out early this morning. Actually on
- 45:31Speaker 19: my drive in, I was got a text message that
- 45:34Speaker 19: the opposing team here tonight, Everleen, is going to be
- 45:37Speaker 19: in blue. We can't have that. We need all of
- 45:41Speaker 19: our best Virginia fans to come out in full force.
- 45:44Speaker 19: And let's do a gold rush.
- 45:46Speaker 4: Tonight at the Coddloseum and Convention Center for the TV day.

- 45:51Speaker 19: Well I've been saying Everleen, but I could be rolled.
- 45:54Speaker 4: All right, Well, we'll just call it something. The old
- 45:57Speaker 4: broadcasting trick is you just called it something different every time.
- 46:00Speaker 4: So we'll go from anyway, they're the enemy. That's all
- 46:03Speaker 4: we need to know, is that Veronica is that they're
