- 0:00Speaker 2: The Mark Simone Show. Nine till noon weekdays. More Mark.
- 0:06Speaker 3: 710WOR.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hey, it's Tuesday. It's a beautiful day. A lot going on.
- 0:13Speaker 2: 60 Minutes. Boy, you can't trust them at all anymore.
- 0:17Speaker 2: You know, the problem is a lot of people still
- 0:19Speaker 2: read the New York Times believing it's a newspaper. And
- 0:25Speaker 2: some people still watch 60 Minutes thinking it's a news program.
- 0:28Speaker 2: They don't, you know, when you say fake news, they
- 0:30Speaker 2: don't really fully comprehend what it is. You know, it
- 0:34Speaker 2: doesn't really sink in that you're being lied to. There's
- 0:37Speaker 2: so many fake stories, totally fake, fraudulent stories. The New
- 0:42Speaker 2: York Times has pushed. The Washington Post has pushed. And
- 0:47Speaker 2: 60 Minutes has been caught doctoring video. The Kamala Harris interview,
- 0:51Speaker 2: she wasn't able to, answer a question. So they doctored
- 0:54Speaker 2: up the video, took an answer from a different question,
- 0:56Speaker 2: spliced it in. So, I mean, just out and out fraud.
- 1:01Speaker 2: They just did a piece on the Trump administration. Now
- 1:04Speaker 2: I'm going to go after CBS again, 60 minutes, just
- 1:07Speaker 2: did a piece on this guy that was deported. Ice
- 1:11Speaker 2: came and deported the guy and they did a piece.
- 1:15Speaker 2: It was so sympathetic to, you know, he was a husband.
- 1:19Speaker 2: He was a father. And they just took him and
- 1:22Speaker 2: deported him. And it was a touching piece. He's the
- 1:27Speaker 2: father of two. He's married. Well, the Trump administration, furious,
- 1:33Speaker 2: they forgot to mention this guy committed fraud in his
- 1:36Speaker 2: immigration application. He lied. They found all kinds of fraud
- 1:40Speaker 2: in his immigration forms. And he lied about everything. So
- 1:45Speaker 2: they forgot to mention that in the piece. I mean,
- 1:48Speaker 2: you could argue, well, you still don't have to, but
- 1:50Speaker 2: the point is they forgot to mention it. Now, let's
- 1:52Speaker 2: be honest. They didn't forget to mention it. They left
- 1:54Speaker 2: it out. They deliberately left it out of the story.
- 1:59Speaker 2: You know, this story has been going around for a
- 2:00Speaker 2: week or two about Elon Musk, how he was trying
- 2:04Speaker 2: to get people killed. He was on Russia's side. He
- 2:07Speaker 2: was helping Putin. Ukraine depends on Starlink to guide their drones. And,
- 2:15Speaker 2: you know, the killer drones, the military drones. And all
- 2:20Speaker 2: of a sudden, Musk throttled them down, shut down their
- 2:23Speaker 2: speed on the Starlink. Well, it turns out, and remember
- 2:27Speaker 2: at one point they said President Trump ordered it, Musk
- 2:30Speaker 2: ordered it. They kept going on with these fake stories.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Turns out it was throttled down. Starlink did shut down,
- 2:37Speaker 2: slow down deliberately Ukraine's account. But now that all the
- 2:41Speaker 2: details have come out, it turns out when you're on Starlink,
- 2:47Speaker 2: You are not allowed to use it for military purposes.
- 2:51Speaker 2: You can use it on drones, but you can't use
- 2:53Speaker 2: it to send drones 150 miles an hour to attack somebody.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And it wasn't Musk ordering it to slow down. It's
- 3:02Speaker 2: built into the software. They have stuff in the software
- 3:06Speaker 2: that if they see anybody violating the terms, it automatically
- 3:10Speaker 2: slows their account down. And most sites have this. If
- 3:13Speaker 2: you do something you're not supposed to do on Facebook,
- 3:16Speaker 2: it'll throttle down your account immediately. Same thing on Twitter.
- 3:20Speaker 2: They all have this. It was just built into the software.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Once it got to be a big, huge story and
- 3:24Speaker 2: Musk was told and got involved, he got the engineers
- 3:28Speaker 2: to fix it, but it's automatic. Now, why can't you
- 3:33Speaker 2: use Starlink for military purposes, for attacks? Well, there's a
- 3:40Speaker 2: good reason for that. Now, what they have, they have
- 3:42Speaker 2: another thing called SpaceShield. That's the military version of Starlink.
- 3:47Speaker 2: If you're going to do military stuff, you know, trying
- 3:49Speaker 2: to bomb and kill, you got to use Space Shield.
- 3:52Speaker 2: The reason they won't allow it on Starlink, Starlink depends
- 3:59Speaker 2: on satellites. It's run by satellites in space. And Musk is,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and this is only logical, Musk has said if he
- 4:08Speaker 2: allows it to be used for military use, for instance,
- 4:12Speaker 2: Zelensky blowing up stuff in Moscow, then the next step
- 4:15Speaker 2: will be Russia will shoot down the Starlink satellites. And
- 4:20Speaker 2: he doesn't want that. He wants Starlink strictly peaceful. He
- 4:23Speaker 2: doesn't want Russia or China blowing up his satellites. So
- 4:26Speaker 2: that's the reason. But Ukraine, I don't know why they
- 4:29Speaker 2: did it. They knew they had to use Space Shield,
- 4:31Speaker 2: the military version. But for some reason, they tried it
- 4:34Speaker 2: on Starlink. The software just automatically, it's built into the software.
- 4:38Speaker 2: If they see anybody doing anything you're not supposed to do,
- 4:41Speaker 2: it slows down their account immediately. So That's all that happened. Now,
- 4:45Speaker 2: that part of the story naturally is not getting reported
- 4:48Speaker 2: by The New York Times, CBS, or any left-wing fake
- 4:52Speaker 2: news site. Anthropic has filed for the big IPO. Everybody
- 4:58Speaker 2: was waiting for this. They value Anthropic at $ 2 trillion. Actually,
- 5:07Speaker 2: they've posted a staggering loss in the first half of
- 5:10Speaker 2: the year, $ 80 billion, almost $ 81 billion in the first
- 5:13Speaker 2: half of the year. But that's all the big tech
- 5:16Speaker 2: companies in the first few years because they just keep
- 5:19Speaker 2: pumping it back into the company. So that could spook
- 5:22Speaker 2: Wall Street investors because they're all worried about an AI bubble.
- 5:26Speaker 2: But the revenue over the same period was $ 16 billion,
- 5:30Speaker 2: and that's up from $ 40 million two years ago. So
- 5:34Speaker 2: that's a pretty good jump there. So this is going
- 5:37Speaker 2: to be a big IPO. It's supposed to happen probably
- 5:40Speaker 2: in a month or so. Uh, French president Macron promises
- 5:45Speaker 2: strong measures to stop the protests. He promised on Monday
- 5:49Speaker 2: that his government, you see, they're very slow over there.
- 5:52Speaker 2: If this was, uh, uh, the U S and Donald
- 5:54Speaker 2: Trump and those protests started, the response would be about
- 5:58Speaker 2: an hour later. Uh, but it's two weeks into it.
- 6:01Speaker 2: And Macron has announced not strong measures. No, he's announced
- 6:05Speaker 2: that they're going to announce a package, uh, later in
- 6:07Speaker 2: the week, later in the week, they'll announce a package. His, uh,
- 6:11Speaker 2: Prime Minister Sébastien Leconneau is set to hold a news
- 6:16Speaker 2: conference after meeting with unions of high school students. Now,
- 6:19Speaker 2: there were some students originally in these protests complaining about something.
- 6:23Speaker 2: I don't know. The temperature wasn't right in the classroom.
- 6:25Speaker 2: They didn't like the lunch. Something. I don't know. So
- 6:29Speaker 2: they're going to meet with these student unions and work
- 6:30Speaker 2: that out. Get them out of the mix. The Interior
- 6:34Speaker 2: has deployed 70,000 police for this weekend coming up. So far,
- 6:40Speaker 2: 1,500 people arrested nationwide, but they got to stop this.
- 6:44Speaker 2: They really got to stop this. President Trump really going
- 6:48Speaker 2: after Obama. Obama going after Trump. By the way, let
- 6:54Speaker 2: me repeat this. I keep repeating this throughout the show.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Anytime Obama goes on the stump in campaigns, the person
- 7:01Speaker 2: always loses. That's his track record. Remember in 2024, he
- 7:05Speaker 2: went out on the campaign trail the last few weeks
- 7:06Speaker 2: to stop Trump. Again, he always fails on the campaign trail.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Obama's only good campaigning for himself. His coattails stink. They
- 7:16Speaker 2: always have. But Obama attacked him like crazy on everything,
- 7:21Speaker 2: every issue. Trump now going after Obama.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Guys like Obama, they would pass the front door. They'd
- 7:27Speaker 3: see the broken.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he's talking about Obama, who was in the White
- 7:32Speaker 2: House for eight years and let the whole building just decay.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Stuff was crumbling. Stuff was broken. And Obama, for eight years,
- 7:40Speaker 2: never did anything about it.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Guys like Obama, they would pass the front door. They'd
- 7:45Speaker 3: see the broken masonry. They'd see the broken, the beautiful
- 7:50Speaker 3: pilasters that were all broken. For years they were broken.
- 7:54Speaker 3: And he wouldn't notice because he doesn't notice that. He
- 7:57Speaker 3: doesn't notice dirt and filth. that hadn't been cleaned, where
- 8:00Speaker 3: the walls hadn't been cleaned for years. He doesn't notice
- 8:04Speaker 3: areas that haven't been painted. So it's very easy for
- 8:07Speaker 3: me to do. I do it very, very simply because
- 8:10Speaker 3: it's by nature, you know, I'm a very clean person.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Yeah, well, he's also a professional builder. A professional builder
- 8:17Speaker 2: got that eye. He sees everything wrong. Obama, not a
- 8:20Speaker 2: professional builder. Never even actually had a job doing anything
- 8:22Speaker 2: except politics. Biden, you can't blame because the guy's Doesn't
- 8:26Speaker 2: know where the hell he is. He's just bumping into walls.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You can't expect him to notice anything.
- 8:31Speaker 3: You have to remember, the White House, we have to
- 8:33Speaker 3: explain that to Obama because he doesn't understand it because
- 8:36Speaker 3: he's not a smart guy. Let me tell you, in
- 8:38Speaker 3: my opinion, he's not smart at all because the way
- 8:41Speaker 3: he ran the country, only a stupid person would run
- 8:44Speaker 3: the country like that. But we have to explain to
- 8:46Speaker 3: Obama that the White House is a symbol of America
- 8:50Speaker 3: and it has to be maintained properly.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Yeah. See, one good thing about Trump, he's got this
- 8:56Speaker 2: thing about He'll go after you for all your faults.
- 9:00Speaker 2: But even if you don't have a fault, he'll just
- 9:03Speaker 2: make it sound like it is. You know, there's a
- 9:04Speaker 2: lot wrong with Obama. You could criticize Obama for a
- 9:07Speaker 2: lot of things. I don't think anybody could make this
- 9:09Speaker 2: case that he's stupid. Obviously, he's a brilliant guy. You
- 9:13Speaker 2: can't say he's stupid. But Trump will do it anyway.
- 9:16Speaker 2: It's just the way he is. He's unbelievable at that.
- 9:18Speaker 2: He's great at that. You know, like.
- 9:23Speaker 2: George Clooney, he'll just say. He's an ugly guy. I
- 9:25Speaker 2: think everybody agrees. He's ugly. He's really ugly. He'll just
- 9:28Speaker 2: make the case so forcefully and with such confidence. You
- 9:32Speaker 2: start believing the guy.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Guys like Obama don't see it. You don't see dirt.
- 9:36Speaker 3: He doesn't see filth. He doesn't see broken ornaments on
- 9:39Speaker 3: a building. The White House to President Obama is a
- 9:44Speaker 3: symbol of America. It has to be clean. The columns
- 9:49Speaker 3: can't be broken. The bricks can't be falling off from
- 9:54Speaker 3: under the plaster. And for you to say it's a
- 9:58Speaker 3: Cheesecake Factory, that's shows why you were a lousy president.
- 10:03Speaker 2: He's not going to live down that cheesecake factory stuff
- 10:06Speaker 2: also you know you're in the midwest where people love
- 10:09Speaker 2: the cheesecake factory obama talks about it like it's a
- 10:12Speaker 2: cheap little nothing it's a very special place for people
- 10:15Speaker 2: in the midwest the cheesecake factory and it's great I mean,
- 10:20Speaker 2: name a restaurant that has a better menu than the
- 10:22Speaker 2: Cheesecake Factory. Anytime the menu's in a book, like a
- 10:27Speaker 2: leather-bound book, and it's 47 pages, that's pretty impressive. In fact,
- 10:32Speaker 2: I don't know why you don't even have to look
- 10:34Speaker 2: at the menu. They have everything. Just say anything. Whatever
- 10:37Speaker 2: you want, they got it on that menu. It is
- 10:39Speaker 2: an amazing place. The food is delicious. Everything. thing you
- 10:46Speaker 2: order is 4,700 calories. But aside from that, it's a
- 10:50Speaker 2: great place. You know what people are getting crazier about?
- 10:54Speaker 2: And the public is starting to rebel against this. These
- 10:58Speaker 2: red light cameras are everywhere. Red light cameras are driving
- 11:03Speaker 2: people crazy. 600 drivers now starting a protest. First of all,
- 11:10Speaker 2: you go through the red light or they got these
- 11:12Speaker 2: speed cameras. You get a ticket in the mail and
- 11:17Speaker 2: And you got to pay it. There's nothing you can do. Now,
- 11:20Speaker 2: what's driving everybody crazy is there's two cars and 400
- 11:24Speaker 2: bikes on the same street. The bikes are breaking the
- 11:27Speaker 2: speed limit. The bikes always go through red lights. The
- 11:30Speaker 2: bikes go through stop signs. The bikes are up on
- 11:33Speaker 2: the sidewalk. The bikes are going the wrong way down
- 11:36Speaker 2: the street. Start ticketing them. It's easy to do. You
- 11:40Speaker 2: require every bike to get a license. The license must
- 11:45Speaker 2: be on the bike. The license could have a chip
- 11:48Speaker 2: in it that the cameras can read. First of all,
- 11:52Speaker 2: you make a fortune selling the bike licenses. And then
- 11:54Speaker 2: every year they got to renew it. And so you
- 11:58Speaker 2: make money that way. It's a lot of revenue. And
- 12:00Speaker 2: the bikes are breaking the law every second. The revenue
- 12:04Speaker 2: will come pouring in off these bikes. Now, after a while,
- 12:08Speaker 2: if they keep getting tickets, they'll stop. They'll make sure
- 12:11Speaker 2: to stop at the stop sign. They'll make sure to
- 12:13Speaker 2: go the speed limit. But that's good. That's good. So
- 12:17Speaker 2: either way you win, start ticketing bikes. You've got to
- 12:21Speaker 2: do it. I don't know how you're going to get
- 12:23Speaker 2: that done because politicians hate cars, love bikes, but start
- 12:29Speaker 2: ticketing them. E-bikes, e-scooters, all that crap and those stupid pedicabs.
- 12:35Speaker 2: You know, they got rid of the horse and carriages.
- 12:37Speaker 2: There's more problems with those pedicabs, with the illegal alien
- 12:41Speaker 2: gang member peddling furiously with two frightened tourists in the back.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Get rid of those things. Oh, good news. You know,
- 12:48Speaker 2: they say there's no good news. Well, here's some good news.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Former FBI director James Comey facing new criminal charges. This
- 12:57Speaker 2: he should have been charged with a long time ago.
- 12:59Speaker 2: This story had been around for a while. You remember
- 13:02Speaker 2: he had a guy, I think he was a professor
- 13:04Speaker 2: at Columbia, a professor of journalism or something like that,
- 13:08Speaker 2: very close to Comey. And Comey, if he needed stuff
- 13:11Speaker 2: leaked to the New York Times, would show it to
- 13:14Speaker 2: his friend and his friend would leak it. That way
- 13:16Speaker 2: Comey never had contact with the New York Times. Comey
- 13:19Speaker 2: could say, I did not talk to anybody in the
- 13:22Speaker 2: New York Times. I didn't leak it to the New
- 13:24Speaker 2: York Times. But the friend did. There was always that
- 13:27Speaker 2: story floating around. I forget the guy's name. They even
- 13:30Speaker 2: named the guy. Well, he's now being charged with leaking
- 13:34Speaker 2: classified information, transmitting national defense information, but doing it through
- 13:42Speaker 2: a third party There's specific cases of this. There was
- 13:46Speaker 2: an October 2016 New York Times article that revealed stuff
- 13:52Speaker 2: about our surveillance and spam filters. The New York Times
- 13:56Speaker 2: got a hold of it. They believe Comey leaked that
- 13:58Speaker 2: through his friend. They've indicted him. I don't think they
- 14:02Speaker 2: would have gone ahead with this unless they had the evidence.
- 14:04Speaker 2: They've probably gotten cell phone records and GPS stuff and
- 14:08Speaker 2: seen these guys together. And then the record of the
- 14:11Speaker 2: other guy's cell phone transmitting to the New York Times. Comey,
- 14:16Speaker 2: more legal trouble, real legal trouble for him. Hey, New
- 14:21Speaker 2: York City district attorneys, we're talking about this last hour,
- 14:24Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg, the one in the Bronx. These district attorneys
- 14:28Speaker 2: are so pro-criminal. They don't put the criminals in jail.
- 14:31Speaker 2: They let them right back on the streets. They're anti-ICE.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Apparently now, there's certain things, if you got charged with
- 14:38Speaker 2: a serious felonies case, committing awful crimes in the street,
- 14:43Speaker 2: the ICE agents can deport you over it. So apparently,
- 14:46Speaker 2: these district attorneys are deliberately downgrading the charges to make
- 14:53Speaker 2: sure they're non-deportable offenses. This is the House Judiciary Committee
- 14:59Speaker 2: that's done a report. They said New York City's district
- 15:01Speaker 2: attorneys are doing this deliberately, covering up for these illegals,
- 15:07Speaker 2: deliberately downgrading the charges, even though they just committed a
- 15:10Speaker 2: serious crime, downgrading it so they won't get deported. This
- 15:14Speaker 2: is unbelievable. Now, the governor, if you get the right governor,
- 15:17Speaker 2: and it's Bruce Blakeman, can remove these district attorneys and
- 15:20Speaker 2: put real ones in, real crime fighters, replace these district attorneys.
- 15:25Speaker 2: That would change everything. So make sure you get out
- 15:28Speaker 2: and vote. Do it this week. Do the early voting.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Get out and vote. It's all about turnout. Hey, we'll
- 15:33Speaker 2: take some calls next. 800- 321-0710 is the number. Give
- 15:40Speaker 2: us a call.
- 15:40Speaker 5: 800-321-0710.
- 15:41Speaker 2: The Mark Simone.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Carl in
- 15:55Speaker 2: New Jersey. Carl, how you doing?
- 15:58Speaker 1: Hey, Mark. Thanks for taking my call. Hold it down.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Hold it down. People are sleeping here. Okay.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 16:06Speaker 1: What people seem to be talking about here in New
- 16:08Speaker 1: Jersey is Cory Booker is on the ballot. He's a senator.
- 16:11Speaker 1: It's a six-year term. He's running against a guy named
- 16:14Speaker 1: Justin Murphy. And he's a nobody, and he's a long shot.
- 16:18Speaker 1: But this is a chance to really shake the Democratic
- 16:21Speaker 1: cage at the top. And nobody seems to be covering it.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I know, but let's be honest. You people in New Jersey,
- 16:28Speaker 2: nothing personal, but you people in New Jersey vote in
- 16:31Speaker 2: the worst people as governors, as senators.
- 16:33Speaker 5: As senators.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm a mom of county, and we went red, but
- 16:37Speaker 1: you are not wrong. You are not wrong.
- 16:39Speaker 2: You vote in some wacky governors, and that Cory Booker
- 16:42Speaker 2: is like, as they call him, the Dollar Store Obama.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Dollar Store Obama. He's going to run for president again,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and if he's in the next cycle, he's going to
- 16:53Speaker 1: continue to throw New Jersey under the bus to gain
- 16:55Speaker 1: favor with his party.
- 16:56Speaker 2: He runs for president every time. Nobody knows, but he
- 17:00Speaker 2: runs for president every time. Let's go to Larry in Cranford,
- 17:03Speaker 2: New Jersey. Larry, how you doing?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Hey, Mark.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Hi.
- 17:07Speaker 1: So what has Kathy Holcomb been doing all this time?
- 17:10Speaker 1: She's going to lower prices? When?
- 17:12Speaker 2: The day after Election Day? Yeah, no, it's a fascinating phenomenon.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Democrats have had total control in New York for 15 years.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Democrats controlled City Hall, the legislature, the governor's mansion, every
- 17:26Speaker 2: inch of New York governed by Democrats, 15 years. Now
- 17:30Speaker 2: they tell you there's a crime problem. Oh, there's an
- 17:32Speaker 2: affordability crisis. There's this. Electric bills are too high. Well,
- 17:36Speaker 2: if this is the case, it's all your fault. They
- 17:38Speaker 2: should throw you out. It's the most unbelievable chutzpah ever.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Let's go to Diane in Connecticut. Diane, how are you doing?
- 17:47Speaker 6: I'm doing pretty good. I wanted to speak about James Carville.
- 17:54Speaker 6: I was watching him on a show last week. And
- 17:58Speaker 6: he was ranting and raving about how much he hates Trump.
- 18:04Speaker 6: He said, I hate him. I can't sleep at night
- 18:07Speaker 6: because of him. I can't eat. I'm losing weight. I
- 18:13Speaker 6: can't have any fun or whatever. I never saw such craziness.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I know. They're like little children. They're like crazy little whining, pouty,
- 18:21Speaker 2: pouty children. Like they won't go to bed unless.
- 18:24Speaker 6: You give them this. He should know better.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I know. It's crazy. Listen, I didn't like Kamala Harris,
- 18:30Speaker 2: but it didn't keep me up at night. I wasn't
- 18:33Speaker 2: losing any sleep over it. I wasn't foaming at the mouth.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I hated that Joe Biden is president. But I didn't
- 18:41Speaker 2: run around screaming about it all day. I didn't go
- 18:43Speaker 2: out in the street with a no kings or, in
- 18:46Speaker 2: his case, no zombies sign. They're just nuts. But they're
- 18:50Speaker 2: like children. It's just childish ranting and raving. Let's go
- 18:54Speaker 2: to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how are you doing?
- 18:57Speaker 4: Good morning mark mark i will take speaking about album
- 19:00Speaker 4: break downgrading charges and the black community in hispanic community
- 19:05Speaker 4: should be incensed in fact today at the arraignment of
- 19:09Speaker 4: that dirty cop who shot the guy on the bridge
- 19:13Speaker 4: Alvin Bragg only charged him with manslaughter. That guy should
- 19:18Speaker 4: have been charged with murder too, reckless endangerment, reckless discharging
- 19:24Speaker 4: of a firearm, which Internal Affairs, before the guy retired,
- 19:30Speaker 4: after only seven years, they brought him up on a
- 19:33Speaker 4: reckless endangerment for discharging his firearm.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Vincent, Vincent, you seem very familiar with the charging system
- 19:40Speaker 2: here in New York.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I actually am very familiar. There's no way that
- 19:44Speaker 4: that cop should have been charged with, on the onset,
- 19:48Speaker 4: with manslaughter. And here's the reason why. Usually, during the
- 19:52Speaker 4: course of a trial, depending on which way the trial's going,
- 19:57Speaker 4: either the DA or the defense attorney will say, hey,
- 20:02Speaker 4: I'll cop out to this. I'll plead out to that.
- 20:05Speaker 4: You don't start low so you could go lower. You start,
- 20:08Speaker 4: you charge them high, and then you work the charges down.
- 20:12Speaker 4: This cop could be out in three years. And knowing that,
- 20:17Speaker 4: the family is... planning a protest outside of Central Book
- 20:22Speaker 4: in Manhattan today. That's mob stuff with this cop.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Okay, but you would think a left-wing kook like Alvin
- 20:28Speaker 2: Bragg would overcharge a cop. You think he would hate cops?
- 20:31Speaker 4: Well, I guess he's trying to curry favor with the
- 20:34Speaker 4: police union and detectives union. But this guy is no
- 20:39Speaker 4: altar boy. He retired after seven years. That tells you
- 20:44Speaker 4: a lot because internal affairs probably told him, hey, We're
- 20:48Speaker 4: going to bring this case against you to court. Either
- 20:51Speaker 4: you quit now or we're going to court with this
- 20:54Speaker 4: because why would the guy retire after seven years? And
- 21:00Speaker 4: this came out last week on WOR and other channels
- 21:04Speaker 4: that report the real news, not NPR and those garbage stations.
- 21:10Speaker 2: All right, well, Alvin Bragg, the worst district attorney in America.
- 21:13Speaker 2: If you get a new governor... He can remove Alvin Bragg.
- 21:17Speaker 4: That would be great. Well, let's hope it happens, Mark.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Yeah, go out and vote. Vincent, thanks for calling. Go
- 21:22Speaker 2: out and vote. Do the early voting. You can do
- 21:26Speaker 2: it this week. Hey, when we come back, the brilliant
- 21:29Speaker 2: columnist Liz Peek, we'll talk to her next on 710WOR.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Mark Zemmong, Mr. New York.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Well, Liz Peek, the brilliant columnist. You can read her
- 21:47Speaker 2: columns at foxnews.com or thehill.com. But even better, go to
- 21:51Speaker 2: her website. Everything is there, plus a lot of great stories.
- 21:55Speaker 2: You go to lizpeek.com, lizpeek.com. Liz Peek, how are you doing?
- 22:01Speaker 5: I'm great. Thank you for having me on.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Hey, one week from today, seven days away. What do
- 22:08Speaker 2: you think is going on now, midterm-wise?
- 22:11Speaker 7: Well, look, I think that we have been hit with
- 22:16Speaker 7: a blizzard of negative polls, negative headlines. I think Democrats
- 22:22Speaker 7: and the liberal media are throwing absolutely everything at us
- 22:25Speaker 7: to make us convinced that the election is basically over
- 22:29Speaker 7: and done with and trying to convince Republicans not to
- 22:32Speaker 7: bother to vote. Because if you think it's hopeless, Mark,
- 22:36Speaker 7: you stay home. And I think that is absolutely what
- 22:39Speaker 7: they're trying to accomplish. What I see is tightening polls
- 22:43Speaker 7: in a lot of critical races. Michigan's a good example,
- 22:46Speaker 7: where Abdul Al-Sayed was up over Mike Rogers a few
- 22:49Speaker 7: weeks ago by almost four points, and now it's one point,
- 22:54Speaker 7: or in some cases, tied.
- 22:57Speaker 5: And that is true in Texas.
- 22:59Speaker 7: I think it's true in Iowa and various other races
- 23:03Speaker 7: where you know, yeah, Democrats have put up a really
- 23:06Speaker 7: good fight.
- 23:07Speaker 5: But when you look.
- 23:09Speaker 7: At the historical bias of polling, and I don't mean
- 23:14Speaker 7: that the polls are purposefully manufactured to make Republicans look bad,
- 23:19Speaker 7: but in something like 13 out of the last 14 elections,
- 23:21Speaker 7: Republicans have been undercounted. And in particular, according to The Economist,
- 23:27Speaker 7: in states that are red states. In other words, you
- 23:30Speaker 7: go into Iowa, you go into Texas and you do
- 23:33Speaker 7: a poll and A lot of Trump voters aren't going
- 23:36Speaker 7: to respond because they're just ornery and they don't like polling.
- 23:39Speaker 7: And maybe they're embarrassed. Their neighbors, you know, they don't
- 23:43Speaker 7: know who's going to look at these polls, whatever. But
- 23:45Speaker 7: the answer by three or four points, Republicans are undercounted.
- 23:49Speaker 7: And if that is the case, a lot of these
- 23:52Speaker 7: supposedly squeaker races are not going to end up being
- 23:55Speaker 7: as tight as we think. So I am optimistic that
- 23:59Speaker 7: the GOP will hold the Senate. I think probably the
- 24:01Speaker 7: House they will not hold.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Well, you never know.
- 24:04Speaker 4: You never know.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Anything can happen. The good news is they sent Obama out,
- 24:08Speaker 2: a panicky move, Obama out on the campaign trail. Check
- 24:11Speaker 2: his track record. Everybody he endorses loses. That's generally the case.
- 24:17Speaker 5: True, true.
- 24:18Speaker 7: And, you know, I think he's been like out in
- 24:22Speaker 7: Michigan because El-Sayed, lost Detroit, by the way, in the primary.
- 24:28Speaker 7: I mean, if you go back and look at how
- 24:30Speaker 7: he has done with black voters, it is terrible. So,
- 24:34Speaker 7: you know, Obama is supposed to be getting out there
- 24:36Speaker 7: and rallying black voters to show up for al-Sayed. Is
- 24:39Speaker 7: that really going to pull, as you point out, it
- 24:42Speaker 7: has not proved an effective strategy in the past.
- 24:45Speaker 5: Maybe this time will be different.
- 24:47Speaker 7: But I think a lot of conservative black voters are
- 24:50Speaker 7: looking at al-Sayed with this, you know, very clear borderline,
- 24:57Speaker 7: I guess we have to say, alleged ties to the
- 25:00Speaker 7: Muslim Brotherhood, etc.
- 25:01Speaker 5: And they don't like that. I mean, they're patriotic Americans.
- 25:04Speaker 7: They don't like the fact that this guy's coming in
- 25:06Speaker 7: and bashing Israel, bashing capitalism.
- 25:10Speaker 5: That's just not their cup of tea.
- 25:12Speaker 7: So I think Jewish voters are definitely having second thoughts.
- 25:17Speaker 5: Black voters just may not show up.
- 25:20Speaker 7: And so I'm Again, I'm sort of optimistic that in
- 25:23Speaker 7: some of these races, the numbers are not really counting
- 25:26Speaker 7: what's going to happen.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Here in New York, you know, the Cato Institute does
- 25:30Speaker 2: a survey of governors in America. Kathy Hochul just won
- 25:34Speaker 2: as the single worst governor in the United States of America.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I think Bruce Blakeman's going to do it. I think
- 25:41Speaker 2: he's going to win.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Oh, man, that would be, would that not be a thunderbolt?
- 25:45Speaker 7: Because I have likened New York voters to Stockholm Syndrome victims.
- 25:51Speaker 7: where you're held captive and you don't know how to
- 25:53Speaker 7: get out, but you end up sort of loving your oppressors.
- 25:57Speaker 5: In this case, how could.
- 25:59Speaker 7: She not be in the bottom of the rankings when
- 26:03Speaker 7: you have the highest taxes in the country, the worst
- 26:07Speaker 7: conditions to run a business, and just cost of living
- 26:12Speaker 7: through the roof, cost of electricity, not because of the
- 26:15Speaker 7: war in Iran, I hesitate to point out, but because
- 26:19Speaker 7: Kathy Hochul and Andrew Cuomo's policies, Democrat policies, have basically
- 26:24Speaker 7: made natural gas unavailable to New Yorkers, banning not only pipelines,
- 26:29Speaker 7: but also fracking, which means that our neighbors in Pennsylvania
- 26:33Speaker 7: are doing much, much better income-wise and electricity price-wise than
- 26:38Speaker 7: people in New York. These are policies that they should
- 26:40Speaker 7: be fired for.
- 26:42Speaker 5: Andrew Cuomo was fired, thank God. Now we should fire
- 26:45Speaker 5: Kathy Hochul.
- 26:46Speaker 7: And by the way, If you're worried, if you're a
- 26:48Speaker 7: New York City resident, you're worried about Mamdani, the governor
- 26:53Speaker 7: is the only possible break on Mamdani, and she will
- 26:56Speaker 7: not be that break on Mamdani. So as he continues
- 27:01Speaker 7: to throw up there all these benefits he wants to provide,
- 27:05Speaker 7: programs he wants to initiate and so forth, you're looking
- 27:08Speaker 7: at higher taxes. You're looking at losing more taxpayers to
- 27:11Speaker 7: Florida and Texas and Tennessee and other low-tax locales. This
- 27:16Speaker 7: is not working. And I think, you know, the sooner
- 27:20Speaker 7: there's a political... And, you know, Mark, what drives me
- 27:24Speaker 7: nuts is that Republicans in this state are so fatalistic.
- 27:28Speaker 7: It's sort of like, oh, you can't elect a Republican. Well,
- 27:30Speaker 7: George Pataki was a Republican. Mike Bloomberg was elected mayor
- 27:34Speaker 7: of New York City, for heaven's sakes, as a Republican
- 27:37Speaker 7: because people were so fed up with Democrat incompetence.
- 27:42Speaker 5: That's where we are now. That's, I think, where we
- 27:44Speaker 5: will be very shortly.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Yeah. You know, the governor has the power to remove
- 27:49Speaker 2: the district attorneys. It's a state job. He could put
- 27:52Speaker 2: in real crime fighters that could turn everything around crime-wise.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Yeah, and just justice-wise.
- 27:59Speaker 7: I mean, we've had, you know, somebody in the DA post,
- 28:05Speaker 7: attorney general post, who has had political vendettas. I mean,
- 28:10Speaker 7: it's hilarious when they talk about Trump going after his enemies.
- 28:13Speaker 5: My God.
- 28:15Speaker 7: I mean, what do they think Letitia James has done
- 28:17Speaker 7: over the last many years? All she has really targeted,
- 28:20Speaker 7: as far as I can see, is political enemies like
- 28:22Speaker 7: Donald Trump, creating cases where they went after him on
- 28:28Speaker 7: the most preposterous, even described by the New York Times
- 28:33Speaker 7: as creative charges, and basically not done her job in
- 28:39Speaker 7: terms of locking up criminals. Mark, imagine if somebody you
- 28:43Speaker 7: loved was shoved in the front of a subway train
- 28:46Speaker 7: and killed or stabbed to death in the park or whatever.
- 28:49Speaker 7: And you found out that same person had been arrested
- 28:52Speaker 7: for similar things not long prior to that and put
- 28:57Speaker 7: back out on the streets. How can people tolerate this?
- 29:00Speaker 7: I don't understand it.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah. We're talking to Liz Peek, the great columnist. Listen,
- 29:05Speaker 2: gas prices are too high. They're not Joe Biden high,
- 29:08Speaker 2: but they're high. And it's an issue, but it's not
- 29:11Speaker 2: the issue. If you watch the fake news, they make
- 29:13Speaker 2: it sound like the entire election is going to be
- 29:15Speaker 2: based on gas prices. That's never happened in history where
- 29:18Speaker 2: the number one issue was gas prices, right? There's more
- 29:21Speaker 2: to it.
- 29:22Speaker 7: Well, I mean, they want us to believe that everything
- 29:24Speaker 7: that's wrong with the economy, and there is nothing wrong
- 29:27Speaker 7: with the economy except high oil and gas prices, is
- 29:31Speaker 7: the fault of exclusively Donald Trump.
- 29:34Speaker 5: I can tell you, in states like New York and California.
- 29:38Speaker 7: energy costs and electricity costs were going 60, 50% above
- 29:43Speaker 7: the national average way before.
- 29:45Speaker 5: The war in Iran.
- 29:47Speaker 7: Yes, the war in Iran has elevated oil prices.
- 29:49Speaker 5: There's no question.
- 29:50Speaker 7: Thank God that President Trump has also at the same
- 29:54Speaker 7: time pushed domestic energy production so hard Otherwise, we would
- 29:59Speaker 7: be in big trouble and we're not.
- 30:00Speaker 5: I mean, this is, yes, one element that is causing concerns.
- 30:04Speaker 7: But Mark, when you have a conversation about affordability and
- 30:09Speaker 7: you look at the most, you know, these are easy
- 30:11Speaker 7: rankings to uncover. The most unaffordable places to live in America,
- 30:16Speaker 7: without exception, are run by Democrats. I don't mean just
- 30:20Speaker 7: run by Democrat mayors. When they take over a state
- 30:24Speaker 7: like California or New Jersey or New York and they
- 30:28Speaker 7: impose their policies of high taxes, tight regulations, anti-fossil fuel mandates,
- 30:34Speaker 7: et cetera, guess what?
- 30:35Speaker 5: You end up with unaffordable living.
- 30:38Speaker 7: And that's those, it's really, I mean, it's genius that
- 30:42Speaker 7: Democrats have co-opted this issue when they absolutely don't have
- 30:46Speaker 7: any credibility or should not have at all, right?
- 30:50Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're going to yell and scream about Trump
- 30:52Speaker 2: and $ 4. 30 for gas, How come you're right? They never
- 30:56Speaker 2: mentioned Gavin Newsom and his $ 8 gallon gas.
- 30:58Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 30:59Speaker 5: Yes. Or high taxes.
- 31:02Speaker 7: Where do people think, if you're a company and you're
- 31:05Speaker 7: operating in New York or California, Illinois, New Jersey, it's
- 31:08Speaker 7: not just these two states, and you have high corporate taxes,
- 31:13Speaker 7: do people not understand that those taxes are not swallowed
- 31:17Speaker 7: by the business?
- 31:18Speaker 5: They're passed along in terms of higher prices.
- 31:21Speaker 7: Don't they understand that if you delay and make very
- 31:25Speaker 7: cumbersome the act of building a home, that home prices
- 31:29Speaker 7: are probably 50 to 60 to 70% higher than they
- 31:32Speaker 7: would be in a state that is more flexible, more
- 31:37Speaker 7: permissive in terms of handing out permits. I will tell you,
- 31:41Speaker 7: I have been trying to add on to a house
- 31:44Speaker 7: in Westchester County in New York, a minor, minor adjustment
- 31:49Speaker 7: in this house. And it has taken months to get
- 31:52Speaker 7: a permit. And I got to tell you, I am
- 31:55Speaker 7: not alone. Everybody is bitching about the same thing.
- 31:59Speaker 5: And guess what? Every day that you sit there and
- 32:01Speaker 5: it doesn't happen, the price goes up.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Well, it's seven days away. Everybody get out and vote early.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Early voting is important. Do it this week. You vote early.
- 32:11Speaker 2: You can sail right in, breeze through, no lines.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Truth.
- 32:16Speaker 1: All right.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Well, Liz Peek, brilliant as always. Everybody read her website, LizPeek.com.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Her columns, everything's up there. LizPeek.com. And thanks for being
- 32:26Speaker 2: with us.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Mark, thanks for having me on. Good luck. And, you know,
- 32:30Speaker 5: make sure you go out and vote. We need you.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. All right. Well, thanks. Take care.
- 32:37Speaker 5: All right.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Bye-bye. Thanks.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Everybody get out and vote. Do it today. Do it tomorrow.
- 32:42Speaker 2: The early voting is the easiest. It's all about turnout.
- 32:47Speaker 2: If Republicans turn out in great numbers, they win. It's
- 32:50Speaker 2: that simple. If they don't turn out in great numbers,
- 32:52Speaker 2: they lose. So get out there and vote. Do the
- 32:54Speaker 2: early voting. Hey, coming up at noon, Buck Sexton and
- 32:57Speaker 2: Clay Travis have an excellent show for you. Three o'clock,
- 33:00Speaker 2: you got the most listened to radio show in America.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Sean Hannity is back today at three o'clock. Six o'clock,
- 33:07Speaker 2: you got Jesse Kelly. Jimmy Fallon does the funniest things.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Most interesting show every night, 9 to midnight. So listen
- 33:14Speaker 2: to it tonight, every weeknight on 710WOR. Here's more Mark
- 33:20Speaker 2: Simone on 710WOR. It's going to be nice today. Beautiful,
- 33:27Speaker 2: bright sunshine. It's going to be kind of cold. It's
- 33:30Speaker 2: going to be, well, it's autumn. It's 60 degrees. It'll
- 33:33Speaker 2: be 61 tomorrow, Thursday, 67. Friday, the nicest day of
- 33:39Speaker 2: the week. Friday, sunshine. It'll be 73 degrees on Friday.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Let me look ahead. Weekend looks pretty good, 60 and sunny.
- 33:46Speaker 2: No rain in the forecast until maybe Tuesday. So you
- 33:50Speaker 2: got one week with no rain at all. Tuesday, by
- 33:56Speaker 2: the way, is election day. You see what I mean?
- 33:58Speaker 2: Do the early voting. I mean, you can't tell a
- 34:01Speaker 2: week ahead of time how accurate the forecast is, but
- 34:03Speaker 2: right now it's supposed to rain election day. Go out
- 34:06Speaker 2: and do the early voting. It's easier. There's no line.
- 34:11Speaker 2: You get it done. Early voting is open in New York.
- 34:13Speaker 2: You can do it today. You can do it tomorrow.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Go out and get it done. Hey, I'm here 9
- 34:19Speaker 2: to noon now, three hours every day. Or if you
- 34:22Speaker 2: can't listen live, you can get the podcast, hear the
