Prairie Days in Yelm turned sweet with a bustling pie baking contest, powered by Commissioner Rachel Grant and the Yelm Rotary Club. Families flocked to the free event, competing in youth and fruit/non-fruit categories, all for the chance to win prizes and savor delicious pies. With 30 entries and a crowd buzzing with community spirit, the winners shone: Jaden Thompson, Ezra Brooks, and Daniel Thompson in youth; Kiana Wheeler, Cassie Z, and Courtney Andren in non-fruit; and Korinna Panic, Kiana Wheeler, and Samantha S in fruit.
