- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:10Speaker 1: Amy Torber and coming up on today's show. Fitness mogul
- 0:14Speaker 1: Kayla Itzenis reveals she was stalked for seven months. Sarah's
- 0:19Speaker 1: day continues to breadcrumb her son's name and our highs
- 0:23Speaker 1: and lows of the week. But first, Mitch Orville has
- 0:26Speaker 1: made a triumphant return to fiancé Chloe Zepp's bedroom. Yeah,
- 0:30Speaker 1: the newly engaged couple are back sharing a room together
- 0:34Speaker 1: for the first time in four years. Well, this was
- 0:37Speaker 1: after Mitch was relegated to the movie room, wasn't it?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:40Speaker 1: And then after they sold that house, he would either
- 0:43Speaker 1: sleep on the couch or in a spare bedroom. A
- 0:46Speaker 1: lot of people thought this was a bit odd. I mean,
- 0:48Speaker 1: does he snore? Like that's kind of the only real
- 0:51Speaker 1: reason I can see him sleeping in a different room. Well,
- 0:53Speaker 1: I think it was down to the fact that he
- 0:55Speaker 1: didn't want to sleep with two kids in his bed. Now,
- 0:57Speaker 1: Chloe opened up about it in an Instagram story last year.
- 1:01Speaker 1: So a follower said, how is Mitch and your relationship
- 1:04Speaker 1: since expanding your family? And she responded saying, it's never perfect.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We argue, get disconnected. He sleeps on the couch the
- 1:11Speaker 1: majority of the night because he sleeps better. She then
- 1:14Speaker 1: went on to explain how this sleeping situation affects their
- 1:17Speaker 1: sex life. She said, we juggle the household and kids.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And if there's any time at night, we'll watch something
- 1:22Speaker 1: or give each other a massage, have a bath, get frisky.
- 1:25Speaker 1: And then on the other nights, we want to watch
- 1:27Speaker 1: our own shows or do our own things. It's a
- 1:29Speaker 1: wild ride, but we're doing it together at the end
- 1:32Speaker 1: of the day. It becomes almost a mutual understanding and
- 1:35Speaker 1: we take what we get. Well, at the time, their
- 1:37Speaker 1: decision to sleep apart really divided the internet. So one
- 1:41Speaker 1: user wrote, this relationship is doomed. Whilst another said, if
- 1:45Speaker 1: that's your relationship at 24, I would be worried. Get
- 1:49Speaker 1: those kids out of your bed and into their own
- 1:51Speaker 1: bed before it's too late. Now, others defended the couple
- 1:55Speaker 1: saying their arrangement is their business and they need to
- 1:58Speaker 1: do what feels right. What do you think about it?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Look.
- 2:01Speaker 1: It's each to their own. Personally, my partner and I,
- 2:04Speaker 1: we sleep in the same room at nighttime. We don't
- 2:06Speaker 1: have kids though. I think it is a new kettle
- 2:09Speaker 1: of fish when you have a newborn or very young children. So,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know what the future holds in
- 2:14Speaker 1: that regard. I personally would like to stay in the
- 2:17Speaker 1: same bedroom as my partner, but I don't hold any
- 2:19Speaker 1: judgment to those who don't because just say you've been
- 2:23Speaker 1: single for a really long time. it's going to be
- 2:25Speaker 1: a huge change to suddenly have someone sleeping in your bed,
- 2:28Speaker 1: changing your routine, taking up all of your space. I've
- 2:31Speaker 1: heard of a lot of hosts of breakfast shows doing
- 2:33Speaker 1: it because they wake up at such an ungodly hour
- 2:36Speaker 1: that it just absolutely disrupts their partner's sleep. And I
- 2:39Speaker 1: think in that instance, it's a really good idea. I
- 2:41Speaker 1: think maybe if your partner's a snorer and you just
- 2:44Speaker 1: can't get any sleep, kick them out to the other room.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But here's a tip for anybody. And of course, cost
- 2:49Speaker 1: of living crisis, it's very difficult, but Dale and I,
- 2:52Speaker 1: a few years ago, we saved up and we got
- 2:54Speaker 1: a king-size bed and my husband's six foot four. So
- 2:58Speaker 1: that alleviated- Isn't he six five? Well, six four, six five.
- 3:01Speaker 1: That alleviated a lot of issues because he would absolutely
- 3:04Speaker 1: hog the bed and I would get the worst sleep ever.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Now it feels like he's not even in the bed. Yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I need to get a king-size bed desperately. Now, Mitch
- 3:12Speaker 1: seemed ecstatic to be joining Chloe back in the bedroom.
- 3:15Speaker 1: He said, it comes with its difficulties though. Here's what
- 3:18Speaker 1: he said. Well, it is well overdue after four long,
- 3:23Speaker 1: long years. I have a very special announcement to make.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I'm back in the bed, ladies and gentlemen. I am
- 3:32Speaker 1: back in the bed. I must admit, there is some
- 3:39Speaker 1: perks having your own bed. I did forget what it's
- 3:41Speaker 1: like sleeping with someone and I would be lying if
- 3:44Speaker 1: I haven't snuck back into my own bed in the
- 3:46Speaker 1: middle of the night because pros and cons, I'm sure.
- 3:51Speaker 1: In this video, Mitch showed vision of one of his
- 3:53Speaker 1: sons tucked up in his new bed and finished by saying,
- 3:56Speaker 1: Chloe better be a good negotiator to get baby number
- 3:59Speaker 1: three out of him. Baby number three. I don't think
- 4:02Speaker 1: it'll be happening. He seems pretty happy to be back
- 4:04Speaker 1: finally in the bedroom and reconnecting with his partner again. Yeah, well,
- 4:08Speaker 1: this news also comes off the back of their youngest son, Sonny,
- 4:11Speaker 1: celebrating his second birthday. And he had such an Instagrammable
- 4:16Speaker 1: basketball themed party. The decorations appeared to be gifted by
- 4:20Speaker 1: a Gold Coast company called Chaos and Petals, and the
- 4:23Speaker 1: media wall was unreal. Yeah, they had these huge balloon
- 4:27Speaker 1: installations of orange, black, gray, and white balloons. And on
- 4:31Speaker 1: one of the media walls, they had shelves with 12
- 4:33Speaker 1: orange basketballs sitting on them for the kids to play with.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Sonny also had a large cake in the shape of
- 4:39Speaker 1: a basketball. I know my partner personally, who's turning 31
- 4:41Speaker 1: in a couple of months, would have loved this setup.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I just can't get over how much the kids look
- 4:46Speaker 1: like Mitch. I think they look like a perfect mixture
- 4:49Speaker 1: of both of them, to be fair.
- 4:50Speaker 2: His job was to, he was given a task to
- 4:56Speaker 2: convert me to some sort of church group.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Fitness mogul Kayla Edsenas has revealed she was stalked for
- 5:04Speaker 1: seven months by a young man who was on a
- 5:06Speaker 1: mission to convert her to an exclusive church group. Now, Sophie,
- 5:11Speaker 1: this ordeal made Kayla feel so unsafe in her own
- 5:14Speaker 1: home that she invested in two guard dogs. Yeah, that's right.
- 5:17Speaker 1: She now has a very large Doberman and a German
- 5:20Speaker 1: Shepherd living at her property for protection. Now, her best
- 5:24Speaker 1: friend at the time, who now happens to be her husband,
- 5:26Speaker 1: Jay Woodruff, suggested that she reach out to an organization
- 5:30Speaker 1: called Protection Dogs Worldwide who train guard dogs. So are
- 5:33Speaker 1: they actually your pets or are they just there on
- 5:36Speaker 1: the premises to protect you? They are still pets but
- 5:39Speaker 1: they've had a lot of training and I think that
- 5:42Speaker 1: they probably spend a bit more time outside guarding the
- 5:45Speaker 1: perimeter of your house. Now she chose to open up
- 5:48Speaker 1: about her ordeal on the organization's YouTube channel. So she
- 5:53Speaker 1: said she felt compelled to tell her story and show
- 5:55Speaker 1: others the lengths she's gone to to protect herself. Now,
- 5:59Speaker 1: this seven-month ordeal began with a chance meeting outside her home.
- 6:03Speaker 1: So the man spotted Kayla and pulled up in his
- 6:06Speaker 1: car to have a chat. Now, Kayla said he was
- 6:08Speaker 1: very unsuspecting. He was very young, looked like a surfie,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and claimed to be working on the construction site down
- 6:15Speaker 1: the road. He gushed that his girlfriend was a big
- 6:18Speaker 1: fan of hers and she'd recently completed her workout guide.
- 6:22Speaker 1: And Kayla said she was more than happy to stop
- 6:24Speaker 1: and have a chat with the guy. She took a
- 6:25Speaker 1: selfie with him and even filmed a video for his girlfriend. Now,
- 6:29Speaker 1: after what seemed like a very innocent encounter, Kayla said
- 6:33Speaker 1: she started seeing the man popping up everywhere. She said
- 6:37Speaker 1: it didn't seem out of the ordinary though, because he
- 6:40Speaker 1: still claimed to be working down the road. Now, what
- 6:43Speaker 1: is particularly unnerving about this story is that Kayla said
- 6:47Speaker 1: the man initially seemed like the nicest person in the world. However,
- 6:52Speaker 1: things changed seven months in when he pulled up beside
- 6:55Speaker 1: her at a traffic light. So the man wound down
- 6:58Speaker 1: the window and told Kayla to wind down hers too. Now,
- 7:02Speaker 1: all of a sudden, Kayla said she got a feeling
- 7:04Speaker 1: in the pit of her stomach that something was off.
- 7:07Speaker 1: She felt like she was in an unsafe situation. Now,
- 7:10Speaker 1: she decided to keep her window shut and waved at
- 7:12Speaker 1: him and drove off. And straight after that, she spoke
- 7:16Speaker 1: to her family members about it, and they suggested checking
- 7:18Speaker 1: her security footage to try and put her mind at ease. Gosh,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and the security footage confirmed Kayla's worst fears. The man
- 7:27Speaker 1: was stalking her. So without fail, he would park his
- 7:30Speaker 1: car on a dead-end street close to Kayla's house and
- 7:33Speaker 1: wait for her to come out the front and proceed
- 7:36Speaker 1: to do his drive-by. And the cameras captured him doing
- 7:39Speaker 1: this every single day for months. How unnerving. Well, she
- 7:44Speaker 1: discovered the man's real identity and got a hold of
- 7:47Speaker 1: one of his family members. Now, she found out that
- 7:49Speaker 1: the man lived more than 30 minutes from her house
- 7:52Speaker 1: and he did not work at the construction site down
- 7:55Speaker 1: the road like he claimed. She also quickly discovered that
- 7:58Speaker 1: the man's motives were even stranger than she thought. Here's
- 8:02Speaker 1: what she said.
- 8:04Speaker 2: We tracked him down. We got a hold of one
- 8:06Speaker 2: of his family members and long story short, his job
- 8:13Speaker 2: was to, he was given a task to convert me
- 8:17Speaker 2: to some sort of church group. And so his job
- 8:21Speaker 2: was to befriend me and then bring me into this
- 8:24Speaker 2: group of people, which was a very, very weird, very,
- 8:28Speaker 2: very exclusive group.
- 8:31Speaker 1: We are the city of churches in Adelaide, so don't
- 8:34Speaker 1: let that put people off. Yeah, we shouldn't laugh at
- 8:36Speaker 1: this because it's actually very, very scary. Well, it's interesting
- 8:40Speaker 1: that Kayla said that the church is seeking out exclusive
- 8:44Speaker 1: group members. Now, she didn't name the church, but we
- 8:47Speaker 1: are seeing a distinct rise in Pentecostal megachurches setting out
- 8:52Speaker 1: to recruit young people. And I wonder if it is
- 8:54Speaker 1: one of these megachurches. It's a hard ask, isn't it though,
- 8:58Speaker 1: for the church to get this guy just to suddenly
- 9:00Speaker 1: befriend Kayla? Wouldn't you send a female down? Well, it
- 9:05Speaker 1: seems very desperate, doesn't it? The thing about these Pentecostal
- 9:08Speaker 1: churches is that they're being marketed as cool churches for
- 9:12Speaker 1: young people. And instead of hymns and organs, they have
- 9:15Speaker 1: these indie rock bands performing worship songs like They're really
- 9:19Speaker 1: trying to entice young people to get into it. Is
- 9:21Speaker 1: it terrible? I just instantly thought of Chloe Zep and
- 9:24Speaker 1: Mitch Orville. Or Anne Sarah's Day. There's quite a few
- 9:26Speaker 1: of them recently who have converted. These megachurches also have
- 9:30Speaker 1: a very slick social media and marketing presence. There's billboards
- 9:34Speaker 1: and posters popping up all around CBDs and inner city suburbs.
- 9:38Speaker 1: They've also headed online, which makes it a lot easier
- 9:41Speaker 1: for young people to get involved. So they hold Live congregations,
- 9:44Speaker 1: they've also got online courses. Well, it's all about rebranding religion,
- 9:49Speaker 1: isn't it, to a new audience? And many of these
- 9:51Speaker 1: churches are filled with young families in their late twenties
- 9:54Speaker 1: and thirties. And these types of mega churches have been
- 9:57Speaker 1: labeled powerful money making machines. So one well-known mega church
- 10:02Speaker 1: brings in 80% of its revenue through music and merchandise sales.
- 10:06Speaker 1: That is wild. And there are just so many reasons
- 10:09Speaker 1: why a church like this would be interested in Kayla Itzina.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I mean, her net worth has been highly publicized online.
- 10:17Speaker 1: In the 2019 financial review, she was listed in the
- 10:20Speaker 1: rich list and her then fiance and her were said
- 10:22Speaker 1: to be worth an estimated $ 486 million. So it really
- 10:27Speaker 1: seemed like this stalker was on a mission to befriend her,
- 10:31Speaker 1: bring her to the church group who would then perhaps
- 10:34Speaker 1: brainwash her into donating large sums of money to the church.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And the thing is, these organizations are always looking for
- 10:42Speaker 1: donations and they're also looking to align with people who
- 10:46Speaker 1: hold power and influence. I mean, for instance, Mega Church
- 10:49Speaker 1: Hillsong has become one of the most influential churches in
- 10:52Speaker 1: the world due to the support it has from celebrities
- 10:55Speaker 1: like Justin Bieber and the Kardashians. And having someone like
- 10:58Speaker 1: Kayla on board, who's got over 15 million followers, it
- 11:02Speaker 1: would be very alluring for them to have her spruiking
- 11:05Speaker 1: the church's teachings to her very large following. Well, it's
- 11:08Speaker 1: also interesting timing for when the church appeared to have
- 11:11Speaker 1: searched her out because it sounds as if this was
- 11:14Speaker 1: during the period she was going through her breakup with
- 11:17Speaker 1: Toby Pearce. She would have been very vulnerable, the perfect
- 11:20Speaker 1: type of person to try and manipulate into this environment.
- 11:24Speaker 1: She has been known to donate money to the Liberal Party.
- 11:27Speaker 1: So I wonder if the church organization got wind of
- 11:30Speaker 1: that and thought, well, maybe she's conservative. She might be
- 11:32Speaker 1: interested in joining our group. Now, Kayla said the ordeal
- 11:36Speaker 1: left her feeling really ashamed and unsafe. And as I said,
- 11:39Speaker 1: Jay suggested that she seek out a dog for protection.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And ever since having the dogs, Kayla said she's never
- 11:45Speaker 1: slept more soundly in her life. I do wonder if
- 11:48Speaker 1: this incident was one of the reasons that she decided
- 11:51Speaker 1: to move to the Gold Coast. Yeah, because it seemed
- 11:53Speaker 1: like a really quick decision and kind of a bizarre
- 11:56Speaker 1: one for Kayla because she'd always spoken so much about
- 11:59Speaker 1: how she loved Adelaide because her family just lived down
- 12:02Speaker 1: the road from her. I mean, that being said, I
- 12:04Speaker 1: think that the core reason for her move to the
- 12:06Speaker 1: Gold Coast is because she wanted to continue co-parenting with
- 12:09Speaker 1: Toby Pierce because he'd moved there to be with his
- 12:12Speaker 1: then fiance, Rachel Dillon. So I think it's important for
- 12:15Speaker 1: her to make sure that their daughter, Anna, is in
- 12:18Speaker 1: both of their lives. It was a really nice thing
- 12:20Speaker 1: for her to do if that is the case. Do
- 12:21Speaker 1: you think this was a deal between Kayla and Protection
- 12:24Speaker 1: Dogs Worldwide, her appearing in this video? Initially, I thought
- 12:28Speaker 1: maybe this is some sort of paid endorsement or that
- 12:31Speaker 1: they've gifted her a dog in exchange for the video.
- 12:35Speaker 1: But with Kayla, she doesn't really do many paid partnerships.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I mean, she has so much money, she doesn't need
- 12:41Speaker 1: to do it. She's spoken a lot in podcasts about
- 12:44Speaker 1: how she doesn't like to do influencer work because she
- 12:47Speaker 1: only wants to work with products and brands that she
- 12:50Speaker 1: actually aligns with. And I know we hear influencers say
- 12:52Speaker 1: that all the time, but I mean, the girl's probably
- 12:55Speaker 1: worth $ 400 million. She doesn't need to be doing these
- 12:57Speaker 1: types of deals. Well, it's kind of an odd endorsement
- 13:00Speaker 1: too because not that many people would be in that
- 13:02Speaker 1: same situation where they need a protection dog. I think
- 13:05Speaker 1: maybe her husband, Jay, is potentially linked to the business
- 13:09Speaker 1: or his family are linked to them and she's done
- 13:12Speaker 1: it out of the goodness of her heart because she
- 13:14Speaker 1: actually has had a genuinely good experience with the dogs.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I still can't believe I'm doing this for the third time.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm 34 weeks pregnant today. Self-proclaimed holistic health princess Sarah's
- 13:27Speaker 1: Day has provided an update on her unborn son's name. Now,
- 13:31Speaker 1: last week, we reported that she had been dropping some clues,
- 13:35Speaker 1: and the clues included an emoji of a hand saluting,
- 13:38Speaker 1: a mountain, and the praying hands. Now, this was posted
- 13:42Speaker 1: in our Facebook community, and the top guess was Elijah,
- 13:45Speaker 1: as Elijah is referenced in the Bible because God asks
- 13:49Speaker 1: him to go up to the top of a mountain.
- 13:51Speaker 1: So it played into a few of the emojis. Now,
- 13:54Speaker 1: the other contenders were Everest or Rocky due to the
- 13:57Speaker 1: mountain emoji. And Sarah provided an update saying no one
- 14:01Speaker 1: has guessed the boy's name yet, but she loves everyone's guesses.
- 14:05Speaker 1: She then shared the most common guesses, which included Zeon, Everest, Moses, River, Solomon,
- 14:12Speaker 1: Isaac and Elijah. She added that she'd considered Solomon as
- 14:16Speaker 1: a middle name. and that she loves the name Zeon,
- 14:19Speaker 1: but her son Fox's friend already has that name. So
- 14:22Speaker 1: clearly this is not unique enough for Sarah. I would
- 14:24Speaker 1: love to know all of the kids' names in Fox's kindy. Jesus, Joseph, Matthew,
- 14:29Speaker 1: could you please come outside? She also confirmed that she
- 14:33Speaker 1: loved the name Elijah, but they won't be using it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Interestingly though, she didn't include Rocky, which has been a
- 14:40Speaker 1: very popular guest so far, as well as Gabriel, which
- 14:43Speaker 1: was a top contender. So potentially she's going to give
- 14:47Speaker 1: birth to Gabriel or Rocky in a couple of weeks time.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I think I like Rocky better than Gabriel.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:52Speaker 1: What's the nickname for Gabriel? Is it Gabe? Gabe.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I think Rocky's cuter. She has been trying to get
- 14:58Speaker 1: her followers in on the fun though. It seems to
- 15:00Speaker 1: be a conscious effort to create some engagement because she
- 15:04Speaker 1: also put a call out for a one syllable middle name.
- 15:07Speaker 1: So very specific. Apparently she thinks that the one syllable
- 15:12Speaker 1: middle name will go better with the first name. But
- 15:16Speaker 1: her husband, Kurt, has fallen in love with a two-syllable name.
- 15:20Speaker 1: So clearly they're in this stage of fighting for the
- 15:23Speaker 1: middle name. Well, there's no way Kurt's going to get
- 15:25Speaker 1: a say on this. Oh, of course he won't. I
- 15:28Speaker 1: love that they've never thought, like, maybe we should call,
- 15:30Speaker 1: you know, name the kid's middle name Kurt. That might
- 15:33Speaker 1: be nice. I mean, that's a one-syllable middle name. Perfect.
- 15:36Speaker 1: So we've got Zeon Kurt. So we've got Gabriel Kurt
- 15:43Speaker 1: or Rocky Kurt. Rocky Kirk doesn't really go. It needs
- 15:48Speaker 1: to be something like Rocky Wild, like something we just
- 15:52Speaker 1: love if she surprised us all by giving the kid
- 15:55Speaker 1: a normie name like Justin Bieber.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I mean, I can't see her naming her son Jack. Well,
- 16:01Speaker 1: a few people are saying that maybe she's going to
- 16:03Speaker 1: go for the middle name Blues.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Oh, yes.
- 16:06Speaker 1: But I don't think so. But she is so hell-bent
- 16:09Speaker 1: on being unique. Wait, what's Malachi's middle name?
- 16:13Speaker 2: Koa.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I don't mind Fox. Like Fox has grown on me.
- 16:16Speaker 1: It has grown on me, but I have never, he's
- 16:18Speaker 1: the only child I've ever heard of called Fox. Let's
- 16:22Speaker 1: get into our highs and lows of the week. Now
- 16:25Speaker 1: I'm going to start with my low. It's that Dale
- 16:27Speaker 1: has been sick over the weekend. So I have been
- 16:29Speaker 1: constantly following him around everywhere, just spraying Glen 20 because
- 16:34Speaker 1: I do not want to get sick again. It was
- 16:35Speaker 1: only a few weeks ago that I was ill. And
- 16:39Speaker 1: aren't boys just a different breed when they're not well? Well, men,
- 16:42Speaker 1: I mean, the man flu has its name for a reason. Yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 1: I mean, poor Dale. He's actually been up and about
- 16:47Speaker 1: doing stuff. I'm like, just rest. You're trying to cover
- 16:50Speaker 1: your ass in case he listens to this. He will
- 16:52Speaker 1: not be listening. He will not listen to this at all.
- 16:54Speaker 1: So my high of the week was Sophie and I
- 16:57Speaker 1: attended the Royal Adelaide show on Saturday and we had
- 17:00Speaker 1: such a good time. It was very nostalgic and we
- 17:03Speaker 1: were trying to pick out what the it trend of
- 17:05Speaker 1: the show, Downside Show Alley, was going to be. In
- 17:08Speaker 1: previous years when we were little, it was the jester hats.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Last year it was cowboy hats. This year it was
- 17:14Speaker 1: a hat that had really long flaps down either side,
- 17:17Speaker 1: which covered your ear. Sounds very rude, long flaps. It
- 17:20Speaker 1: was hard to explain, but basically it was Teletubby designed.
- 17:25Speaker 1: So there was all the different Teletubbies and when you got, sorry,
- 17:29Speaker 1: it's really hard to explain, but when you pushed on
- 17:32Speaker 1: one of the flaps, the ears move. And it was
- 17:36Speaker 1: so cool. It lit up. I was so tempted to
- 17:38Speaker 1: buy one, but when they told me it was $ 25,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I was like, no, thank you. Some of the prices
- 17:43Speaker 1: were out of this world. Like to have just a
- 17:46Speaker 1: tray of chips was almost $ 20. Like that is just crazy. Well,
- 17:50Speaker 1: they had a bit more of a gourmet selection at
- 17:52Speaker 1: this year's show. I was so disappointed. I just wanted
- 17:54Speaker 1: a jacket potato. They don't sell them anymore. We were
- 17:57Speaker 1: saying the iconic show food is a dippy dog or
- 18:01Speaker 1: jam donuts but this year it was all like paella
- 18:04Speaker 1: stands oh they had a sushi cart like i just
- 18:06Speaker 1: want to eat crap when i go to the show
- 18:09Speaker 1: expensive crap my law of the week is that i'm
- 18:12Speaker 1: shopping for bathers currently i want to find a one-piece
- 18:15Speaker 1: swimsuit impossible it is always a nightmare either looking online
- 18:20Speaker 1: or going into the store because all of the one-piece
- 18:23Speaker 1: bathers seem to just go up your ass crack or
- 18:26Speaker 1: your front. Yeah, they're not comfortable. I remember looking for
- 18:29Speaker 1: some before I went to Bali for my honeymoon and
- 18:31Speaker 1: I thought, yeah, I'm going to get the one piece.
- 18:33Speaker 1: And I said to you, don't even bother. They're so uncomfortable.
- 18:37Speaker 1: If anyone has a really good quality pair that doesn't
- 18:41Speaker 1: ride up both ends and looks sophisticated, please let me
- 18:44Speaker 1: know because that's what I'm after. Like I've got some bikinis,
- 18:45Speaker 1: but I just thought it'd be nice to also have
- 18:48Speaker 1: a one piece for my honeymoon because it's nice to
- 18:50Speaker 1: just get around in it with denim jeans and I
- 18:53Speaker 1: want either a red or a black one. Denim shorts,
- 18:55Speaker 1: you mean? Denim shorts, sorry, yeah. So that is my
- 18:58Speaker 1: low of the week. My high of the week was
- 19:01Speaker 1: getting Yochi. That's really sad. It sounds like a simple high,
- 19:06Speaker 1: but we spoke about in our subs episode the man
- 19:10Speaker 1: who is going viral for going on a Yochi date.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Side note, how fucking cheap can you be? But, I mean,
- 19:16Speaker 1: he was complaining because his date supposedly racked up a
- 19:20Speaker 1: $ 300 Yochi date. bill, which is impossible. That's the thing.
- 19:25Speaker 1: We felt like we had a craving for it after
- 19:27Speaker 1: we saw that TikTok and after we spoke about it.
- 19:29Speaker 1: And I wanted to see if you actually could, like
- 19:32Speaker 1: if it is feasible to get a $ 300 Yochi, it
- 19:35Speaker 1: is not. Well, while we were at Yochi, there was
- 19:37Speaker 1: a couple who walked in and they'd clearly been out
- 19:39Speaker 1: to a fancy date and they were getting Yochi after.
- 19:42Speaker 1: They were so glammed up. They actually stood out like
- 19:45Speaker 1: sore thumbs because normally the attire at Yochi is either
- 19:48Speaker 1: trackies or even pajamas. Or a nudie.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 1: And we were all laughing because we were trying to
- 19:53Speaker 1: see how much Yochi the woman put in to see
- 19:56Speaker 1: if she did the dirty like this other girl. Yeah,
- 19:58Speaker 1: she definitely did it. She was a lot more conservative
- 20:00Speaker 1: with her consumption, but I feel like it's such a
- 20:02Speaker 1: good place to go in Adelaide because most dessert bars
- 20:06Speaker 1: or restaurants close so early. And this stays open to
- 20:09Speaker 1: at least 10.30. Now, it sounds almost as if this
- 20:12Speaker 1: is an ad for Yochi, which it definitely isn't. But
- 20:14Speaker 1: I want to know, what is your go-to Yochi selection?
- 20:17Speaker 1: I usually go for the fruity flavors, like the strawberry
- 20:21Speaker 1: or the mango. But I'm weird because I don't then
- 20:22Speaker 1: like to add extra fruit to it.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Really?
- 20:25Speaker 1: I love that. I go strawberries on mine. I then
- 20:28Speaker 1: add the jewels. What are they called? Like the bubble
- 20:30Speaker 1: tea jewels.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And then I like Nutella in there. And also the
- 20:35Speaker 1: sort of like chocolate buttons. Oh, I don't know if
- 20:37Speaker 1: I rate that. No, it's good. My go-to is adding
- 20:41Speaker 1: some strawberries. I could actually just eat it with strawberries.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Last time I added Maltesers, which were a good addition.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And I also like these little lollies. Like they're sort
- 20:50Speaker 1: of like those moon candy things. It's funny. I said
- 20:53Speaker 1: to Brandon on Friday, can we go and get Yochi?
- 20:55Speaker 1: And he's like, what the fuck is Yochi? I'm like,
- 20:58Speaker 1: are you even living on this planet? I don't think
- 21:00Speaker 1: Dale knows what it is either. Maybe we'll have to
- 21:03Speaker 1: do it. Yochi day. Well, Dale would hate it because
- 21:05Speaker 1: he also hates going to Sushi Train because he said
- 21:08Speaker 1: that he never gets full from it. Like he's like,
- 21:10Speaker 1: I need at least 10 plates. And then it gets
- 21:12Speaker 1: really expensive. Maybe, maybe he'd rack up a 300 Yochi.
- 21:16Speaker 1: If anyone saw my video from when we were in
- 21:18Speaker 1: Bali of how much ice cream he ate over there
- 21:21Speaker 1: in one sitting. He would be the only person I
- 21:24Speaker 1: think that could do a $ 300 Yochi. Who'd do a
- 21:26Speaker 1: 300 Yochi and he'll derail Sushi Train. Yeah. Well, I
- 21:30Speaker 1: think that is all we have time for today. Thank
- 21:32Speaker 1: you so much for joining us for this episode. If
