- 0:00Speaker 1: By from Midtown Manhattan.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Here comes the Mark Simone Show on seven Too Long.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Well, hey, it's Wednesday. It's Opening Day, Yankees Opening Day
- 0:14Speaker 3: to day. Unfortunately, you can't see the game unless you
- 0:17Speaker 3: have Netflix, but most people have Netflix. It's the first
- 0:20Speaker 3: time opening days. Tonight they're playing in San Francisco, first
- 0:24Speaker 3: time the Yankee home day, Opening Day, which is a
- 0:27Speaker 3: big day, a lot of ceremonies, a lot of stuff,
- 0:30Speaker 3: first time. It won't be on regular television. You gotta
- 0:33Speaker 3: have Netflix to see it. Mets Opening Day is tomorrow,
- 0:37Speaker 3: So baseball season underway as of tonight. A lot to
- 0:40Speaker 3: get to today. We'll get to the latest on Iran
- 0:43Speaker 3: negotiations are taking place, that has been confirmed by both sides.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Now they've been taking place. We'll get to the latest
- 0:50Speaker 3: on Iran. We'll get to Savannah Guthrie, We'll get to LaGuardia,
- 0:55Speaker 3: and we'll get to crazy Mayor Mom Donnie, who now
- 0:58Speaker 3: wants to put tariffs on bill businesses here in New York.
- 1:02Speaker 3: The TSA, now it's interesting, the TSA still a big,
- 1:08Speaker 3: big shortage. Ice agents are doing a great job in
- 1:10Speaker 3: the airport. Despite what Chuck Schumer said, they're not shooting people,
- 1:16Speaker 3: despite what Blumenthal and all the other Democrats that there
- 1:21Speaker 3: would be in the airport brutalizing people shooting no gun
- 1:25Speaker 3: find in the airport from Ice agents. And the problem
- 1:30Speaker 3: is they've now made the negotiations are taking place between
- 1:35Speaker 3: the Republicans and the Democrats. They've actually made a lot
- 1:38Speaker 3: of progress in the negotiations, Republicans submitting to the Democrats
- 1:43Speaker 3: a deal that would be exactly what they wanted, and
- 1:47Speaker 3: Democrats turning it down. Now. The reason they're turning it
- 1:50Speaker 3: down is they believe, through their own polling, through their
- 1:54Speaker 3: own surveys, that the voters are blaming the Republicans. Right now,
- 2:00Speaker 3: there's no reason to do that. The Republicans aren't really
- 2:03Speaker 3: behind this, but that's what they believe is the perception.
- 2:06Speaker 3: So as long as they think the Republicans are getting blamed,
- 2:10Speaker 3: they'll keep this shutdown going. And this tsa problem going.
- 2:15Speaker 3: As long as it looks like it's helping them, doesn't
- 2:18Speaker 3: matter what's really true. So that's why the delay they've
- 2:21Speaker 3: offered the Republicans are offered every now. The problem is
- 2:24Speaker 3: the Republicans have to do more messaging wise. Now, you
- 2:28Speaker 3: got to remember, the Democrats will blame the Republicans and
- 2:31Speaker 3: the fake news. The media will join in and blame
- 2:33Speaker 3: the Republicans. So for people not paying such close attention,
- 2:38Speaker 3: there's the perception that the Republicans that close down the government,
- 2:41Speaker 3: which when it's actually not true. So Republicans have to
- 2:44Speaker 3: do more. They got to go to the airports. They
- 2:46Speaker 3: got to hold press conferences there. They got to be
- 2:49Speaker 3: right there for great visuals, great optics, and explain what's
- 2:52Speaker 3: really going on the reporters all over. Let's see the
- 2:57Speaker 3: Atlanta Airport.
- 2:58Speaker 4: And there seems to be more live opened than normal
- 3:01Speaker 4: right now with the TSA workers here breezing people through.
- 3:05Speaker 4: In fact, a lot of folks have been showing up
- 3:07Speaker 4: shot at how short the lines are.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Yeah, the ICE agents have pretty much solved the problem
- 3:11Speaker 3: in a lot of airports. But again Republicans have to
- 3:14Speaker 3: go there, bring the cameras there, and let everybody see this.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Let's check the Philadelphia Airport.
- 3:19Speaker 5: ICE agents have arrived here in Philadelphia, but I do
- 3:21Speaker 5: want to point out this is an empty line right now.
- 3:24Speaker 5: We are standing in the middle where travelers come to
- 3:27Speaker 5: check in for TSA. Yesterday, this was all the way
- 3:29Speaker 5: back to the garage. So good news today, lines aren't
- 3:32Speaker 5: too bad.
- 3:32Speaker 3: TSA helping out Phoenix Airport.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Most of the travelers we spoke would say, well, it's disappointing.
- 3:37Speaker 5: The current shutdown is having a negative impact on TSA staff.
- 3:40Speaker 5: They're pleased to see ICE agents stepping in.
- 3:42Speaker 6: They're protecting us.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but again, you need more coverage of this.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Republicans got to play this up. They gott to force
- 3:50Speaker 3: the media to cover this a little more. Now, why
- 3:53Speaker 3: is it with Democrats and the ICE agents? They hate
- 3:56Speaker 3: these ICE agents. They've been a couple of ugly incidents,
- 3:59Speaker 3: but that's a billionth of one percent. Why do they
- 4:03Speaker 3: hate these ICE agents so much. Well, because they're rounding
- 4:07Speaker 3: up illegals and getting them out of the country, especially
- 4:09Speaker 3: the criminal illegal aliens. Democrats want the illegals here. It's
- 4:15Speaker 3: very important to them. Now Chris Murphy, he's this crazy,
- 4:20Speaker 3: awful Connecticut senator, but the Democrats love him because he
- 4:24Speaker 3: says the most outlandish far left things in the world.
- 4:29Speaker 3: In fact, there are a lot of Democrats are now
- 4:30Speaker 3: looking a dump Schumer as the leader. Get rid of
- 4:34Speaker 3: Schumer in the Senate and put in Chris Murphy. Big push. Now,
- 4:38Speaker 3: get Schumer out and put in Chris Murphy. But listen
- 4:41Speaker 3: to this Chris Murphy speaking yesterday, and he's always on
- 4:45Speaker 3: every wherever there's a camera there he is. He's as
- 4:48Speaker 3: bad as Schumer, just always running around doing TV shows, appearances.
- 4:53Speaker 3: But he slipped, he slipped. He actually spoke the truth
- 4:57Speaker 3: out loud. They're really just for illegals, more for ill
- 5:01Speaker 3: legals than for Americans. Listen to Murphy make this slip.
- 5:04Speaker 7: That's been a failed play for twenty years. So you
- 5:07Speaker 7: are right that that has been the Democratic strategy for
- 5:10Speaker 7: thirty years maybe, and it has failed to deliver for
- 5:14Speaker 7: the people we care about most, the undocumented Americans that
- 5:18Speaker 7: are in this country.
- 5:20Speaker 3: The people we care about most, the undocumented. He actually
- 5:26Speaker 3: said it out loud. So it'll continue, but we'll see,
- 5:31Speaker 3: negotiations will continue. The lines are much better Ice agents.
- 5:35Speaker 3: And again they're not shooting anybody all over the place.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Remember the crazy Bloomenthal in Connecticut said they would be
- 5:42Speaker 3: shooting people and brutalizing people and grabbing kids away from
- 5:45Speaker 3: their families. He actually said that. Hakim Jeffrey said that
- 5:50Speaker 3: kind of stuff. And even Corey Booker jumped in yesterday
- 5:53Speaker 3: trying to say that these Ice agents. They're violent, they're terrible.
- 5:55Speaker 3: He's taking that agency that is reckless, out of control
- 5:59Speaker 3: and bringing them to airports under the lie that somehow
- 6:03Speaker 3: this is gonna help.
- 6:04Speaker 7: Deal with the long lines that he created in the
- 6:07Speaker 7: first place.
- 6:09Speaker 3: This is an outrage Well, the outrageous booker waited a
- 6:12Speaker 3: couple of days too long, because we've already done it
- 6:14Speaker 3: for a couple of days, and we've seen that they
- 6:16Speaker 3: did make the lines longer. They actually made the lions shorter.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Tom Homan responded.
- 6:20Speaker 8: He's misleading American people. He's lying. I want him to
- 6:23Speaker 8: give me one example, just one when ices went into
- 6:26Speaker 8: a church to wrest somebody, or we went into a
- 6:29Speaker 8: hospital to wrest somebody, or we went into an elementary
- 6:32Speaker 8: school to wrest somebody. Just give me one example. You
- 6:35Speaker 8: know why he can't. There isn't anything.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Yeah, but they just make up this stuff. They get
- 6:39Speaker 3: on MSNBC, they go on Morning Joe and they say
- 6:41Speaker 3: they're arresting people in churches, they're arresting people in hospitals.
- 6:44Speaker 3: A lot of people talking about Morning Joe yesterday the
- 6:50Speaker 3: argument was against the Save Act and Morning Joe pointing
- 6:54Speaker 3: to Mika and saying Mika does not know where her
- 6:56Speaker 3: birth certificate is. She can't find it, so she can't
- 6:59Speaker 3: vote in this country. Under this act, she cannot vote.
- 7:03Speaker 3: And a lot of people falling for this. This is
- 7:06Speaker 3: totally misleading every American. If you don't have your birth certificate,
- 7:11Speaker 3: you can get it replaced in two seconds. There's dozens
- 7:13Speaker 3: of websites you can go to. The government has one,
- 7:15Speaker 3: and there's plenty of private ones. You can go to
- 7:17Speaker 3: these websites. Just google it. Just google replacement birth certificate
- 7:22Speaker 3: and hundreds of websites will come up. You can go
- 7:25Speaker 3: to any of these websites. All you can do is
- 7:27Speaker 3: type in your information. They will find your birth certificate
- 7:31Speaker 3: and for a little feed, they'll send you a new
- 7:33Speaker 3: birth certificate. You can have it in about four days.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Anybody can get a replacement birth certificate. It's a very
- 7:38Speaker 3: easy to use. So they're totally totally misleading America. And
- 7:43Speaker 3: always count on Chuck Schumer. He's the one that says this.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Women are too stupid, they don't know how to get ID.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Minority voters too stupid, they don't know how to get
- 7:52Speaker 3: an ID.
- 7:53Speaker 9: Let's make it very clear, Donald Trump is the one
- 7:56Speaker 9: standing in the way of paychecks for TSA workers with
- 8:00Speaker 9: a ridiculous attempt to pass the Save Act. Yeah, the
- 8:05Speaker 9: Save Act, which would destroy a lot of what we
- 8:09Speaker 9: know about democracy.
- 8:13Speaker 3: It Save Act just means you've got to be a
- 8:15Speaker 3: citizen to vote destroy democracy. Anyway, let's get to Iran.
- 8:21Speaker 3: There are negotiations tacond place. As we've been telling you,
- 8:25Speaker 3: Iran did put out a statement Monday, we have not
- 8:27Speaker 3: had any talks with the US. Well technically that's true,
- 8:33Speaker 3: but they were kind of lying to you. We have
- 8:35Speaker 3: been in negotiations for quite a few days with Iran.
- 8:38Speaker 3: They were using a third party intermediary to negotiate. We
- 8:42Speaker 3: go through the third party. They go through the third party.
- 8:45Speaker 3: It's another nation. That's why Iran was technically able to
- 8:49Speaker 3: say we've had no talks with the US. They've been
- 8:51Speaker 3: working through a third party. Negotiations are They're going as expected.
- 8:57Speaker 3: The Iran is asked for all kinds of things that
- 9:01Speaker 3: we're never going to give them. They want the control
- 9:03Speaker 3: of everything. There's President Trump on negotiation.
- 9:05Speaker 10: They're talking to us and they're talking sense. And remember
- 9:09Speaker 10: it all starts that they cannot have a nuclear weapon.
- 9:12Speaker 10: Just you know I said yesterday they said what are
- 9:15Speaker 10: the top ten? I said, well, number one, two and
- 9:17Speaker 10: three is they can't have a nuclear weapon.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Okay, now here's what it'll probably come down to. Iran
- 9:22Speaker 3: has given us like fourteen demands, twelve of which are ridiculous.
- 9:27Speaker 3: I think what it's going to come down to, they'll
- 9:29Speaker 3: end us at some point. The Straits of Hormuz. Now
- 9:33Speaker 3: it's not open technically, but there are ships coming through
- 9:36Speaker 3: the Straits of Hormoose right now and have been this week.
- 9:39Speaker 3: About ninety ships have come through, and they're ships that
- 9:42Speaker 3: are delivering Iranian oil. And they're letting those ships through.
- 9:46Speaker 3: And now the way they do it is they give
- 9:48Speaker 3: them a code. This is what they do also in
- 9:51Speaker 3: a war in the air, you know, when we're bombing
- 9:54Speaker 3: the hell out of Iraq and Israel's going to help us,
- 9:56Speaker 3: other countries are going to help us. Each plane has
- 9:58Speaker 3: to transmit a code. If it has the right code,
- 10:01Speaker 3: we don't attack them. They're allowed into the combat zone.
- 10:04Speaker 3: So they're using that technology on the Straits of horm Moose.
- 10:07Speaker 3: If the tanker has the right code, it can go
- 10:10Speaker 3: through the straits without being attacked. It transmits that code. Now,
- 10:15Speaker 3: what Iran is going to propose, and so far they've
- 10:19Speaker 3: let ninety ships come through because those ships are delivering
- 10:22Speaker 3: their oil. What they're going to propose is the use
- 10:26Speaker 3: that code system on tankers for anybody wants to get
- 10:29Speaker 3: through the Straits of horm Moose. If it's not one
- 10:31Speaker 3: of their tankers, they're going to want a fee, a
- 10:35Speaker 3: big fee. They're going to charge money to come through
- 10:37Speaker 3: the Straits of horm Moose. This is what the negotiation
- 10:39Speaker 3: will probably come down to, and from now on it'll
- 10:42Speaker 3: be a revenue generator. We'll have to pay to come
- 10:45Speaker 3: through the Straits of horm Moose. Now this is not unusual.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Egypt has been doing this for years with the Siuez Canal.
- 10:51Speaker 3: You got to pay a fee to go through the
- 10:54Speaker 3: Siuez Canal, bring your tanker through there. Now, it's not outrageous.
- 10:59Speaker 3: We do it all the time. You got to pay
- 11:01Speaker 3: a feed across every bridge, to go through every tunnel,
- 11:04Speaker 3: you got to pay a fee. It's easy pass congestion pricing,
- 11:08Speaker 3: all that stuff. So that's probably gonna be the final
- 11:11Speaker 3: thing that'll settle this Iran making a fee off that,
- 11:15Speaker 3: and they're gonna need money. They're gonna need to rebuild
- 11:18Speaker 3: the country, so it'll probably work. It'll come down to that. Hey,
- 11:23Speaker 3: LaGuardia Airport. Well, it looks like I mean, the controller
- 11:28Speaker 3: looks like he just went brain dead allowing the truck
- 11:32Speaker 3: to come onto the runway when he had already cleared
- 11:35Speaker 3: a plane to land. But I guess they're trying to
- 11:39Speaker 3: help the controller a little. I mean, it's just they're
- 11:41Speaker 3: saying it was a number of errors. So it was
- 11:43Speaker 3: that error, but it was also a number of errors.
- 11:46Speaker 3: There weren't enough controllers on the fire truck didn't have
- 11:50Speaker 3: a transponder. There's radar that keeps track of all the
- 11:53Speaker 3: planes in the air, but they also have ground radar
- 11:56Speaker 3: keeps track of every vehicle on the ground and matches
- 11:59Speaker 3: it up with the planes. And to do that, each
- 12:03Speaker 3: vehicle has to have a transponder transmitting a signal. That's
- 12:07Speaker 3: how the radar picks it up. And that fire truck
- 12:10Speaker 3: didn't have a transponder on it. But most fire trucks
- 12:13Speaker 3: usually don't have a working transponder. But here's the spokesman.
- 12:18Speaker 11: We have no indication there were transponders on any of
- 12:21Speaker 11: the trucks, but there are transponders on other trucks. At
- 12:26Speaker 11: other airports across the nation. In this case, they did
- 12:31Speaker 11: not have transponders.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Yeah, so they're coming of all these explanations, but really
- 12:35Speaker 3: that controller he already cleared a plane to land. Once
- 12:37Speaker 3: you clear a plane the land the plane owns the runway.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Nothing else comes on. So it was a big mistake. Now,
- 12:43Speaker 3: how many controllers were on? Were there enough?
- 12:46Speaker 11: We have identified the midshift generally as concern in other investigations,
- 12:52Speaker 11: largely due to fatigue because it spans that time frame
- 12:56Speaker 11: at your circadian low during the day when you're most fatigued.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I don't know, there's a little too much explanation the
- 13:03Speaker 3: circadian level, the fatigue when you're landing. I don't think
- 13:09Speaker 3: you want to know that the controller might be falling asleep.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Circadian level has to do with falling asleep fatigue. Do
- 13:16Speaker 3: you want a guy that's actually awake and watching the runway?
- 13:19Speaker 3: So hey, I did check on those some argument yesterday.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Whose fire trucks are they? They're not NYFD. I met
- 13:26Speaker 3: with the commissioner, the fire commissioner and all the top brass.
- 13:30Speaker 3: They do not control those fire trucks. They do come
- 13:34Speaker 3: in if it's a big fire. Those are Port Authority
- 13:38Speaker 3: fire trucks at the airport run by port authority. Are
- 13:41Speaker 3: they as good as NYFD? Nobody would answer on the record,
- 13:46Speaker 3: but I saw the looks in their faces, So you
- 13:47Speaker 3: don't don't count so much on those Port authority fire trucks,
- 13:50Speaker 3: not like the New York Fire Department. But when they're
- 13:53Speaker 3: in trouble and it's a big fire, they call in
- 13:55Speaker 3: the NAFT. But those were port authority fire trucks. And
- 13:59Speaker 3: again and they didn't have transponders. There's a lot wrong
- 14:02Speaker 3: with the way things were run at LaGuardia Airport. Hey,
- 14:07Speaker 3: Savannah Guthrie finally did the first interview when she's going
- 14:12Speaker 3: to finally go on camera and talk at length. Well,
- 14:15Speaker 3: Hoda Cottby the Today Show did the first interview and
- 14:19Speaker 3: she broke down. She cried, it's unbearable, it's agonizing, She
- 14:26Speaker 3: went through the whole story. It's just agony, unbearable. So
- 14:29Speaker 3: just heart wrenching. But always count on NBC to totally
- 14:34Speaker 3: exploit the situation. They've broken it up into two parts.
- 14:39Speaker 3: It's going to be on both days Thursday, Friday. They're
- 14:42Speaker 3: already promoting it. They want you to watch. They'll take
- 14:45Speaker 3: advantage of that pain and suffering trying to get people
- 14:48Speaker 3: to watch the Today Show. She is going to return
- 14:51Speaker 3: to the Today Show. They're looking at April tenth for
- 14:54Speaker 3: the return date. Hey, we'll take some calls next. Eight
- 14:58Speaker 3: hundred three to two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:01Speaker 3: So give me a call, especially if you haven't called before.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Lease give
- 15:08Speaker 3: the number again. Some people say, well, you don't give
- 15:10Speaker 3: the number enough. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Mister New York Mark Simone wr.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:26Speaker 3: seven ten is the number. Let's go to Ron in Pittsburgh. Ron,
- 15:30Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 15:31Speaker 6: I'm good, Mark, how you doing today?
- 15:33Speaker 3: Good?
- 15:34Speaker 12: Hey?
- 15:35Speaker 6: Love your show.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Hey love Jimmy Fahler.
- 15:37Speaker 13: Thank you for that. And Hey, if people are complaining
- 15:40Speaker 13: about Bencent, please keep him on because I love that guy. Hey,
- 15:44Speaker 13: but I got the thing I wanted to call you about.
- 15:46Speaker 13: I have an idea. How about Cuba is having a
- 15:50Speaker 13: blackout while all the green people take their soul panels.
- 15:53Speaker 14: And windmills and get rid of all the power plants.
- 15:55Speaker 15: You show us how they work.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Well, that's a good idea, but we the Cuba will
- 16:01Speaker 3: be free at some point, probably this summer. They'll free
- 16:04Speaker 3: up Cuba and then a lot of people will be
- 16:05Speaker 3: heading to Cuba for all kinds of opportunity, lots of
- 16:10Speaker 3: lots of interest in Cuba. Now you can used to
- 16:12Speaker 3: imagine that by the fall, you could have Iran free,
- 16:17Speaker 3: no more dictatorship. Same thing with Cuba. You could have
- 16:19Speaker 3: two of the biggest problems in the world all of
- 16:22Speaker 3: a sudden ended. Let's go to James in Secaucus. James,
- 16:26Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 16:27Speaker 16: Okay, Well, I want to ask you. A fourth of
- 16:30Speaker 16: July is Saturday, celebrated Friday nine to eleven is Friday.
- 16:34Speaker 16: Chris was in New Year's Friday. Do you think he'll
- 16:36Speaker 16: put that prayer rug out and if he does, well,
- 16:38Speaker 16: Kathy All will do anything about it?
- 16:40Speaker 3: Yeah? Well wait, wait a minute. Fourth of July is
- 16:43Speaker 3: on a Saturday this year.
- 16:45Speaker 16: Yeah, but they celebrated Friday a lot of places.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Oh why would they do that when it's on a Saturday.
- 16:50Speaker 16: Well, anyway, you mean they get we.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Had Friday off that weekend, not Monday.
- 16:55Speaker 16: Yes, yes, yeah, Friday.
- 16:58Speaker 6: I don't like that.
- 16:58Speaker 3: We should get Friday and Monday enough, we should get
- 17:00Speaker 3: two days how you're doing.
- 17:02Speaker 16: Get Friday, Sadday, you get Friday, Sunday, you get Monday.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Now you got me all confused. Who's on first? I
- 17:07Speaker 3: don't know? But anyway, thanks for Colin. Let's go to
- 17:09Speaker 3: Paul and White Plains. Paul, how you doing?
- 17:13Speaker 13: Mark?
- 17:13Speaker 14: I'm doing well, but I almost drove off the road
- 17:16Speaker 14: when I heard you say that Trump is going to
- 17:18Speaker 14: agree to allow the Iranians to tax every ship that goes.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Through this not not not not tax, but one thing
- 17:25Speaker 3: they want is a fee. It's not unreasonable. We do that.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Every country does that.
- 17:29Speaker 17: But but Mark didn't.
- 17:31Speaker 6: We all see.
- 17:33Speaker 3: It's going to keep going every A lot of countries
- 17:36Speaker 3: do it. It's perfectly normal. We do it, harbors do it,
- 17:38Speaker 3: ports do it. It's not unusual.
- 17:41Speaker 14: But isn't it giving them sort of like a little
- 17:44Speaker 14: payback for for what's going on? I mean, it seems
- 17:47Speaker 14: to make no sense.
- 17:49Speaker 3: You know, I could, we could keep doing this for
- 17:51Speaker 3: an hour, and you're gonna keep saying that it makes
- 17:52Speaker 3: no sense. It's again, I'd rather not give them a fee.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I understand your feeling, but it's not unusual happenings, so
- 18:00Speaker 3: it's got to be a reasonable fee.
- 18:01Speaker 11: You.
- 18:01Speaker 3: I mean, but a million supports Harbor's countries. As I said, Egypt,
- 18:05Speaker 3: there's a fee that who used the Suez Canal. It's
- 18:08Speaker 3: done all the time. You know, you do you go
- 18:10Speaker 3: through it yourself. You want to go over the throgs Neck,
- 18:12Speaker 3: you're gonna pay a fee. You want to go through
- 18:14Speaker 3: the Lincoln Tunnel, You're gonna pay a fee. You want
- 18:16Speaker 3: to come into Midtown, You're going to pay a fee.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Congestion pricing. Let's go to Mark and Allentown, Mark, how
- 18:22Speaker 3: you doing.
- 18:23Speaker 18: Hey, good morning.
- 18:25Speaker 19: Before I get to my question, my statement is that
- 18:28Speaker 19: I was shocked watching ABC News World last night how
- 18:31Speaker 19: they covered the poor girl that was killed in Chicago.
- 18:35Speaker 19: And they've said illegal immigrant a few times. That really
- 18:39Speaker 19: floored me.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Wow, that's a big concession from them. Absolutely, it was
- 18:46Speaker 3: really amazing. Yeah, this poor girl was killed by this
- 18:49Speaker 3: illegal immigrant. You see very little coverage of it. Actually,
- 18:54Speaker 3: you know, if it was the other way around, if
- 18:56Speaker 3: she killed the illegal immigrant, it'd be there'd be protests
- 18:59Speaker 3: all of the street, there'd be riots would be every
- 19:01Speaker 3: but uh, this is getting very little attention. But good
- 19:06Speaker 3: for ABC News. Maybe they're maybe they're waking up a
- 19:08Speaker 3: little Let's go to Linda and Pennsylvania. Linda, how you doing.
- 19:12Speaker 20: I'm good?
- 19:12Speaker 21: How are you?
- 19:13Speaker 3: I'm good?
- 19:15Speaker 14: I just have a question.
- 19:16Speaker 20: Why is there no outraged over the fact that White
- 19:21Speaker 20: is flooding and SEEMA is not being paid?
- 19:25Speaker 3: Say again, what's flooding?
- 19:28Speaker 20: Okay, Hawaii.
- 19:31Speaker 8: Years Oh, Hawaii, Hawaii, and you hear nothing about SEMA,
- 19:37Speaker 8: and yet SEMA's one of the agencies that's not being paid.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good point. You have a very good point.
- 19:42Speaker 3: After this were Republican Congress holding this up. If the
- 19:46Speaker 3: Republicans held this up, yet, it's all you'd be hearing
- 19:48Speaker 3: about is Hawaii is flooding while FEMA's not being paid.
- 19:51Speaker 3: FEMA is part of a department Homeland Security, not funded
- 19:54Speaker 3: at the moment. Let's go to Dennis in Long Island. Dennis,
- 19:57Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 19:59Speaker 12: Hey Mack?
- 20:01Speaker 6: Great?
- 20:01Speaker 12: Show Mark?
- 20:04Speaker 3: Everybody sounds like a character from in nineteen forties movie
- 20:06Speaker 3: Hey Mark you Mark?
- 20:08Speaker 12: Yeah, Schulma wants to tell Schulma wants ice to take
- 20:12Speaker 12: their masks go up to identify them. Why don't we
- 20:14Speaker 12: even to playing field. All protesters cannot wear a mask
- 20:18Speaker 12: so we can identify the bad players.
- 20:20Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 20:21Speaker 3: Well, good, idea. They do do that in some cities's
- 20:24Speaker 3: not allowed to wear a mask. But the problem is
- 20:28Speaker 3: you could have protesters with no masks and no, the
- 20:31Speaker 3: Republicans won't bother them, gonna do anything about it. But
- 20:34Speaker 3: you know, the problem with a nice agent is if
- 20:36Speaker 3: he's not wearing a mask. In today's world, you can
- 20:38Speaker 3: take a picture of their face. You can reverse image
- 20:41Speaker 3: search it. You can find out who they are. You
- 20:44Speaker 3: can get their address and go on the internet and
- 20:46Speaker 3: do this, get their address, and then Democratic protesters will
- 20:49Speaker 3: go to their house and terrorize their children and their family,
- 20:53Speaker 3: yelling and screaming and causing chaos outside their house. It's
- 20:57Speaker 3: called doxing. You find the address, you go to the
- 20:59Speaker 3: house us and it's just going to be a nightmare
- 21:04Speaker 3: for these families. So that's why they wear masks. Now,
- 21:07Speaker 3: Republicans never do this kind of stuff, never ever ever
- 21:10Speaker 3: do this kind of stuff. They don't surround somebody's house
- 21:13Speaker 3: and try to terrorize their kids. So that's the reason
- 21:16Speaker 3: for the masks. They're not wearing masks at the airports.
- 21:19Speaker 3: And a lot of people are worried about this, that
- 21:21Speaker 3: they're gonna start photographing these ice agents and start doing
- 21:23Speaker 3: this stuff, so we'll see. Let's go to Joe and
- 21:26Speaker 3: NUTLEYT Joe, how you doing?
- 21:29Speaker 15: Yeah, Hey, Mark, are you a long time listener? I
- 21:33Speaker 15: just want to talk about the mid term elections coming up.
- 21:36Speaker 15: I've been hearing so much on even the Republican side,
- 21:39Speaker 15: how the GOP isn't going to do well in the elections,
- 21:43Speaker 15: and frankly, I just can't see how we can't.
- 21:45Speaker 6: Do well well.
- 21:46Speaker 3: No, I don't don't fall for a lot of fake
- 21:49Speaker 3: poles being reported. We played the clip of CNN yesterday
- 21:52Speaker 3: where they had a real poll and they had to
- 21:53Speaker 3: admit Democrats are so far underwater. They're down like fifty
- 21:57Speaker 3: five points unders now. But also remember, you can't predict
- 22:01Speaker 3: the midterms right now. People love to do it. They
- 22:03Speaker 3: love to predict, they love to guess, They love to
- 22:05Speaker 3: go to the polymarket, see where they gamblers. It doesn't
- 22:09Speaker 3: mean anything. This is like it's like trying to predict
- 22:12Speaker 3: who's going to win the super Bowl in twenty twenty eight.
- 22:14Speaker 3: You're way too far out to know what's going to
- 22:16Speaker 3: happen in the midterms. It's a long way off now.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Some will argue that as you get into the late
- 22:22Speaker 3: summer it gets set. I mean maybe in the midsummer
- 22:25Speaker 3: it starts to get locked in and so. But but
- 22:27Speaker 3: that even the midsummer, you're talking about months and months away.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Get a long way to go. Hey, when we come back,
- 22:32Speaker 3: Roger Friedman will be with us, the great entertainment reporter.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Lots to talk to him about. We'll do that next
- 22:38Speaker 3: on seven ten WR.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's the Marks Among Show on seven ten WR.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Well, Roger Friedman is a great entertainment reporter. His website
- 22:50Speaker 3: is showbiz for one one dot com. You check it
- 22:53Speaker 3: every day. There's always new stuff up there. Showbiz for
- 22:56Speaker 3: one one dot com. Roger Friedman, how.
- 22:59Speaker 6: You doing, I'm great? Good morning Mark.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Hey, Savannah Guthrie is going to finally do the first
- 23:05Speaker 3: Today Show interview Thursday. Friday breaks down christ.
- 23:09Speaker 6: Thursday and Friday thing. Yeah, well, no, I mean she
- 23:15Speaker 6: wants to go back. She has to go back to work.
- 23:18Speaker 6: It's a terrible story. Nobody's they haven't been able to
- 23:20Speaker 6: find the mother. It's been a huge public thing, and
- 23:26Speaker 6: I think to pave the way for her to come
- 23:27Speaker 6: back to work, she's got to do. Get it all
- 23:30Speaker 6: out on the table. So they'll do it Thursday, Friday,
- 23:34Speaker 6: they'll get big ratings, and then maybe a month later
- 23:36Speaker 6: in May, she'll come back.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Yeah, well I'm here in April tenth. That's the day
- 23:40Speaker 3: she's looking to coming back.
- 23:41Speaker 6: Oh April tenth, is that what they're saying. Okay, well,
- 23:44Speaker 6: then then she'll be back April tenth. And you know,
- 23:49Speaker 6: she has to go back to living, her kids have
- 23:51Speaker 6: to go back to school, and you know, life has
- 23:54Speaker 6: to go back to normal, and they may never find
- 23:57Speaker 6: this woman. Yeah, you know, who knows what's going to happen.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Not the best. I think that maybe it's not the
- 24:04Speaker 3: best thing for the Tucson Chamber of Commerce. I mean,
- 24:06Speaker 3: you look at that goofy sheriff and those crazy locals,
- 24:09Speaker 3: and oh.
- 24:10Speaker 6: And the mayor of Tucson has never said a word
- 24:12Speaker 6: about this, not a word. This woman has never spoken
- 24:16Speaker 6: about it. I think at the beginning she says something like, oh,
- 24:18Speaker 6: we have a problem in town. That was February first.
- 24:23Speaker 6: This woman has not done a thing to help in
- 24:25Speaker 6: the case.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, if I were looking at this, that
- 24:28Speaker 3: was very weird. Would not want to live in one
- 24:29Speaker 3: of these breaking bad kind of towns.
- 24:34Speaker 6: As New Yorkers, you know, we're against this generally speaking.
- 24:38Speaker 6: You know, I always said that in the movie Fatal Attraction,
- 24:42Speaker 6: when the family lived in Manhattan in an apartment building
- 24:44Speaker 6: with a doorman, nothing happened to them. The minute they
- 24:48Speaker 6: moved to the suburbs, Glenn Close got in there and
- 24:52Speaker 6: you know, boiled the bunny. So it took the kid hostage,
- 24:56Speaker 6: and you know, the whole thing. So it's much better
- 24:59Speaker 6: to be in the city and be in a nice
- 25:01Speaker 6: doorman building and not have these problems.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Also, you'd have surveillance cameras on every inch of every block.
- 25:07Speaker 3: You'd know what happened.
- 25:09Speaker 6: Well, this is a very weird story about missus Guthrie
- 25:12Speaker 6: because there doesn't seem to have been much security at
- 25:15Speaker 6: the house or anybody living with her. She's eighty four
- 25:18Speaker 6: years old and she can't walk or something. And the
- 25:22Speaker 6: night that she had dinner with a daughter and son
- 25:25Speaker 6: in law, they sent for her in an uber. They
- 25:29Speaker 6: didn't even go pick her up. I don't understand this
- 25:32Speaker 6: is not if she was so old and so infirm,
- 25:36Speaker 6: they were sort of treating her like, you know, a package.
- 25:41Speaker 6: So there's a lot I hope that I doubt that
- 25:43Speaker 6: how will ask her these questions, But those are the
- 25:46Speaker 6: questions I would ask, like, why were you not why
- 25:49Speaker 6: didn't you have someone living in the house with your mother?
- 25:52Speaker 6: First of all, you know, I mean it's a remote area.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Yeah, no, they're good questions. But hey, have you been
- 25:58Speaker 3: watching this? Jfkgu in your mini series this?
- 26:03Speaker 6: I watched a little bit of it, you know.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Around you around for the real around how realistic does
- 26:09Speaker 3: it look?
- 26:11Speaker 6: And not really realistic at all? And I'm sort of
- 26:15Speaker 6: offended by the fact that people are doing these uh
- 26:19Speaker 6: you know, they're dressing up as John Kennedy Jr. And
- 26:23Speaker 6: they're having contests about who looks like him and all this.
- 26:28Speaker 6: It's it's offensive. They died in a really terrible accident
- 26:32Speaker 6: and none of these people knew him. The people who
- 26:36Speaker 6: made the TV show didn't know him. And you see
- 26:40Speaker 6: a lot of people who worked for John complaining now
- 26:44Speaker 6: and saying that the show has no bearing on the truth.
- 26:46Speaker 6: Of course, Jack Schlossberg doesn't you know, believe it, and
- 26:50Speaker 6: has you know, really criticized Ryan Murphy. And also don't
- 26:56Speaker 6: don't remember, you know, don't forget Carol Bassett died and
- 26:59Speaker 6: her sister, So how hard is this show, you know,
- 27:03Speaker 6: for the that family I think it's just exploitation.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Oh definitely. But they really went the great length and
- 27:09Speaker 3: expense to recreate all the locations of the nineties. All
- 27:12Speaker 3: the streets are filled with nineties cars. It does have
- 27:15Speaker 3: a good look to it. I know it brings back
- 27:18Speaker 3: a lot of memories.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Hey, yeah, I don't know if they're good memories.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Yeah, tell us about Paul McCartney. What's he up to?
- 27:26Speaker 3: Paul McCartney.
- 27:28Speaker 6: The other day he started posting cryptic messages on Instagram
- 27:33Speaker 6: and now he's now even more cryptic messages came out
- 27:37Speaker 6: overnight and it looks like he's going to be announcing
- 27:40Speaker 6: a new album maybe tomorrow today, Tomorrow, Friday. And it's
- 27:44Speaker 6: amazing because he's going to be eighty four and he
- 27:48Speaker 6: never stops. And the album is called The Boys of
- 27:52Speaker 6: Dungeon Lane. Dungeon Lane is a street in Liverpool where
- 27:58Speaker 6: he grew up, where they all grew up. And I
- 28:01Speaker 6: think it's going to be a very autobiographical album about
- 28:03Speaker 6: his young days. And then, of course this Friday and Saturday,
- 28:07Speaker 6: he's playing two shows in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theater.
- 28:12Speaker 6: Were seats about twelve hundred people each night, and of
- 28:17Speaker 6: course the thing is totally sold out and people are
- 28:19Speaker 6: going to be lined up around the block to try
- 28:21Speaker 6: to get in. You know, he did this a couple
- 28:22Speaker 6: of years ago at the Bowie at the Barry Ballroom
- 28:28Speaker 6: here in New York. I went to it. Getting into it,
- 28:32Speaker 6: you literally had to give a kidney to get in there.
- 28:35Speaker 6: And the Barry Ballroom is only about half as many seats.
- 28:39Speaker 6: I think it's five seventy five and everybody stood and
- 28:43Speaker 6: it was an amazing show. I'm sure that people in
- 28:47Speaker 6: LA will have a similar experience. And then I guess
- 28:52Speaker 6: maybe the album will come out for his eighty fourth
- 28:54Speaker 6: birthday in June.
- 28:56Speaker 3: So from Penny Lane to That's pretty Cool, Penny Lane
- 28:59Speaker 3: to Dungeon Land.
- 29:00Speaker 6: Dungeon Lane, right, there are a lot of lanes apparently
- 29:03Speaker 6: in Liverpool.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Barry Manilow, what's going on with him?
- 29:10Speaker 6: You know, Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, all these guys in
- 29:13Speaker 6: their eighties are putting out music. Barry Manilow has had
- 29:19Speaker 6: a hit all winter on adult contemporary radio. It's called
- 29:24Speaker 6: Once Before you Go. Babyface remixed it and it turned
- 29:28Speaker 6: out to me a little bit of a hit. So
- 29:30Speaker 6: he's got a whole album coming out next month, but
- 29:35Speaker 6: all new songs. Health Wise, he has lung cancer and
- 29:42Speaker 6: he was operated on and it looks like he's done
- 29:45Speaker 6: very well. He's done very well and he's going to
- 29:50Speaker 6: start touring again next month.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Oh okay, well that's great.
- 29:54Speaker 6: So it's pretty cool. And then Neil Diamond, he's putting
- 29:58Speaker 6: out an unreleased album from from decades ago that he
- 30:03Speaker 6: never put out. And now I kind of tell you.
- 30:07Speaker 6: The first song is great. You know, the Neil Diamond
- 30:10Speaker 6: stuff I love is like solitary man. You know, it's
- 30:14Speaker 6: that before all that, you know, I Am I said,
- 30:17Speaker 6: and all that and Hello America. But this album, this
- 30:22Speaker 6: song sounds pretty good. So many of the album is nice.
- 30:25Speaker 3: It sounds pretty good to the musicologists and they love
- 30:27Speaker 3: but you know, there's a reason it was unreleased. You know,
- 30:34Speaker 3: they always give you the album we put back. The
- 30:36Speaker 3: missing cut wasn't missing. They just didn't want to use it.
- 30:38Speaker 3: It wasn't that good.
- 30:39Speaker 6: So yeah, but this this song sounds pretty good.
- 30:44Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 30:45Speaker 6: I mean, I'm not a big Neil Diamond fan, but
- 30:46Speaker 6: I give him credit. You know, these guys keep plugging away.
- 30:49Speaker 6: You know, it's like as long as We're alive. We
- 30:51Speaker 6: just keep going. Nobody wants to retire.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, we only got about thirty seconds left. Tell
- 30:55Speaker 3: us how Broadway's doing. It is business, Okay, Broadway is booming.
- 31:01Speaker 3: It was up five million dollars this week from last week.
- 31:04Speaker 3: All the shows are booming. Yep, Hamilton is booming. The
- 31:08Speaker 3: Harry Potter Show is booming. Everybody.
- 31:11Speaker 6: Everybody was up in the last week because of spring break,
- 31:15Speaker 6: and it's busier than ever. On Monday night, I went
- 31:18Speaker 6: to see Giant with John Lithgow, who's just a fantastic
- 31:22Speaker 6: actor and gives a great performance. Daniel Ratcliffe is doing
- 31:27Speaker 6: a one man show on Broadway. It's supposed to be excellent.
- 31:30Speaker 6: I haven't seen it yet. And then coming in June
- 31:34Speaker 6: is a sting to the Metropolitan Opera with his show
- 31:37Speaker 6: The Last Ship, which played on Broadway a few years
- 31:41Speaker 6: ago and now is coming back in sort of a
- 31:43Speaker 6: new form with beautiful sets and it's supposed to be
- 31:46Speaker 6: got incredible reviews in Europe, and now it's sailing into
- 31:51Speaker 6: the Metropolitan Opera House for nine performances in June.
- 31:55Speaker 3: That's it, nine.
- 31:57Speaker 6: Just nine, that's it. Then he's got to move on
- 31:59Speaker 6: to the next.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't like that they got to do more
- 32:01Speaker 3: than that, but anyway, it sounds good. Well maybe they will,
- 32:04Speaker 3: all right, Well, everybody check out Roger Freeman's website. There's
- 32:07Speaker 3: always great stuff there. Just go to Showbiz for one
- 32:10Speaker 3: one dot com. Showbiz for one one dot com. Roger Friedman,
- 32:15Speaker 3: thanks for being with us. Thank you, Take care. Hey,
- 32:18Speaker 3: don't forget Bucking Clay Noon Today, excellent show at twelve
- 32:23Speaker 3: noon and the most listened to radio show in America.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Sean Hendry at three, Jesse Kelly at six, and Jimmy
- 32:30Speaker 3: Fayla Real good show, very funny every night at nine
- 32:33Speaker 3: on seven to ten wo R.
- 32:36Speaker 2: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 32:38Speaker 2: time and tap the preset button.
- 32:40Speaker 19: Now.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simon Show on woor.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Well. Hey, coming up after the news. Another hour to go.
- 32:50Speaker 3: We'll get to crazy Mayor Mom, Donnie wh wants to
- 32:52Speaker 3: put tariffs on businesses in New York. We've got to
- 32:56Speaker 3: the shrinking, shrinking TV business coming up, and a lot
- 33:00Speaker 3: more to talk about in the next hour. Don't go away.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Back after the news on seven to ten WR.
- 33:06Speaker 2: On seven ten WR, it's more of the Marksimsia.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Well, crazy Jack Smith back in the news. We'll get
- 33:17Speaker 3: to Crazy Mayor, Mom, Donnie and more coming up. Opening
- 33:22Speaker 3: day to day Yankees Opening Day. They'll actually open in
- 33:27Speaker 3: San Francisco tonight at eight o'clock. You can't see it
- 33:30Speaker 3: on regular TV. It's only on Netflix. Netflix paying a
- 33:34Speaker 3: fortune for that. It's the first time that's ever happened.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Matt's opening day is tomorrow. That's here in New York.
- 33:39Speaker 3: That'll be at City Field. Weather is good for it's
- 33:44Speaker 3: a day game, right tomorrow. Yeah, weather's good for the daytime.
- 33:47Speaker 3: This may be rain tomorrow night, tomorrow night into Friday morning,
- 33:51Speaker 3: but opening day city Field tomorrow, that should be good.
- 33:55Speaker 3: So you remember crazy Jack Smith, that weirdo, bug eyed
- 33:58Speaker 3: weirdo with the cape that they brought in from halfway
- 34:02Speaker 3: around the world. He's like a hit man they brought
- 34:03Speaker 3: in to get Trump and he's the guy that manufactured
- 34:06Speaker 3: this whole classified documents scandal. Well he's back. He's releasing
- 34:11Speaker 3: parts of his report, his investigation, and they found that
- 34:17Speaker 3: President Trump took those classified documents. Now there's nothing in
- 34:22Speaker 3: there of any national security, nothing, nothing, nothing, because remember,
- 34:26Speaker 3: first of all, Trump didn't really have any classified documents.
- 34:30Speaker 3: You remember the pictures of the hundreds and hundreds of
- 34:33Speaker 3: boxes all over the ballroom, on the stage. Remember the
- 34:37Speaker 3: picture in the storage room, another hundred boxes of documents.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Remember the picture in the bathroom. Here's another fifty boxes
- 34:43Speaker 3: of documents. Well, Jack Smith rated mar A Lago. He
- 34:46Speaker 3: took every one of those boxes and he went through
- 34:50Speaker 3: every inch of the house, including Milania's bedroom. He went
- 34:54Speaker 3: through Baron Trump, the kid's bedroom. They went through Malania
- 34:59Speaker 3: Trump's underwear drawer, just like Polly Wallets and the Sopranos did.
- 35:04Speaker 3: And they went through everything, and all they found in
- 35:07Speaker 3: the end were thirty five classified documents. Now, if you
- 35:12Speaker 3: take thirty five classified documents and put them in a folder,
- 35:15Speaker 3: it's about one inch thick. So one inch of one
- 35:19Speaker 3: box had classified documents. All the rest had nothing in them.
- 35:24Speaker 3: And then Jack Smith and the sleazy Merrick Garland, the
- 35:28Speaker 3: whole Justice Department, the whole Biden administration, they looked at
- 35:31Speaker 3: the classified documents that Trump had and they found that
- 35:34Speaker 3: there was absolutely nothing in there of any significance. Now,
- 35:39Speaker 3: in Washington, d C. They overclassify everything. They'd put that
- 35:43Speaker 3: big red classified stamp on a lot of stuff. That
- 35:48Speaker 3: means absolutely nothing. Sometimes it's just a weather report for
- 35:52Speaker 3: a battlefield, something like that. So they looked through everything.
- 35:56Speaker 3: There was nothing bad in there. That's why you've never
- 35:58Speaker 3: heard what they found. You've never heard what they found
- 36:00Speaker 3: because it's nothing of any significance. And the fact that
- 36:04Speaker 3: he only had thirty five classified documents one inch of
- 36:09Speaker 3: one box, you'd never heard that. Now, Biden, Joe Biden.
- 36:12Speaker 3: They caught him with eight thousand classified documents, eight thousand
- 36:18Speaker 3: classified documents at his house, at his office, at another office,
- 36:22Speaker 3: in his garage. And Biden when he took them, was
- 36:25Speaker 3: just a senator or a vice president, so he had
- 36:28Speaker 3: no authority to take the documents. When Trump took the documents,
- 36:32Speaker 3: he had all the legal authority he needed to take them.
- 36:34Speaker 3: He was president of the United States. They're his documents.
- 36:39Speaker 3: He has the power to unclassify them at any second.
- 36:42Speaker 3: So when when Elson the Jacksmith report says he stole
- 36:47Speaker 3: the classified documents, well, it's impossible. They're his documents. He's
- 36:52Speaker 3: the president, he's in charge of the documents. They're his.
- 36:54Speaker 3: You can't steal from yourself. It's impossible, can't be done.
- 36:59Speaker 3: So this is Jamie raskin others. You can hear this
- 37:01Speaker 3: story all over the fake news For a couple of days.
- 37:04Speaker 3: It turned out he was using them for business purposes.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Now I don't know what the hell that had me
- 37:08Speaker 3: business purposes, but their argument is that he showed them
- 37:12Speaker 3: to people. And that's the kind of thing Trump would do.
- 37:15Speaker 3: He does like to show you stuff. When you come
- 37:17Speaker 3: into his office, he shows you stuff. That's how he
- 37:19Speaker 3: always starts a meeting. He's got interesting things that you know.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Here's Tom Brady's a helmet he gave to me. Here's this.
- 37:26Speaker 3: He shows you all this stuff. And that's why. If
- 37:28Speaker 3: you notice in the White House where it used to
- 37:30Speaker 3: be a clean desk and some chairs, he's got stuff
- 37:33Speaker 3: all over the place, in cases, on the desk, on
- 37:36Speaker 3: the walls. He takes you around and he shows you
- 37:39Speaker 3: all this stuff. Hang on, I gotta blow my notes.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Allergies driving me crazy. So he just shows you a
- 37:48Speaker 3: bunch of stuff. So I would imagine down at Marloga.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Those one of the things you want to see some
- 37:52Speaker 3: classified documents. A look at this and they look very
- 37:55Speaker 3: impressive on the front, while the folder and big red
- 37:58Speaker 3: letters classified top secret, highly classified. Then you open it up.
- 38:02Speaker 3: There's nothing in there. But I guess that means business purposes.
- 38:07Speaker 3: But it's at mar A Lago. It's not really a
- 38:09Speaker 3: business purpose because you're just showing him to the the
- 38:12Speaker 3: jentas of mar Alago. How are you that crowd that's
- 38:16Speaker 3: hanging around there. It's not a business purpose. But you're
- 38:18Speaker 3: gonna hear this story for a couple of days. They'll
- 38:20Speaker 3: try to make something out of it. Hey, let's play
- 38:24Speaker 3: this clip again. This is the crazy senator from Chris
- 38:28Speaker 3: from Connecticut. Chris Murphy, an awful guy. He slipped and
- 38:33Speaker 3: spoke the truth. Democrats are fighting for illegal immigrants. They
- 38:38Speaker 3: want illegals here. That's why they left the border wide
- 38:41Speaker 3: open when they could. They want all these illegals here.
- 38:43Speaker 3: That's who they're fighting for. Listen to Chris Murphy. He
- 38:45Speaker 3: actually slips and says it out loud.
- 38:47Speaker 7: That's been a failed play for twenty years. So you
- 38:50Speaker 7: are right that that has been the Democratic strategy for
- 38:53Speaker 7: thirty years maybe, and it has failed to deliver for
- 38:57Speaker 7: the people we care about most, the undocked mented Americans
- 39:01Speaker 7: that are in this country.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Oh, he said it. That's what we care about the most,
- 39:05Speaker 3: the undocumented, the illegals. That's a big slip for him
- 39:09Speaker 3: to say, oh hey, another fake news alert. There's that
- 39:12Speaker 3: convention taking place outside of Washington. It's called Sea Pack.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Every year they have the Sea Pack Convention. President Trump
- 39:19Speaker 3: is sometimes spoken of it through the years, other people
- 39:22Speaker 3: have it means absolutely nothing. It's a good thing. It's
- 39:26Speaker 3: just doesn't mean anything. It's a convention. You know how
- 39:29Speaker 3: they have those comic book conventions where all the fans
- 39:31Speaker 3: show up, and then they have those old TV star
- 39:34Speaker 3: conventions where you get to meet all these old TV
- 39:36Speaker 3: stars and get their autograph and they have the Star
- 39:39Speaker 3: Trek Convention. Well that's what this thing is for Republicans.
- 39:42Speaker 3: It's just it's a guy and his wife that holds
- 39:44Speaker 3: this thing every year and it's just a big convention
- 39:48Speaker 3: where you used to be call them autograph shows. Now
- 39:51Speaker 3: it takes selfies with people, so they try to get
- 39:53Speaker 3: you know, through the years, you'd go there, Ted Cruz
- 39:56Speaker 3: is speaking and Tucker Carlson back when he meant something,
- 40:00Speaker 3: or the President Trump is even gonna speak. JD. Van's
- 40:02Speaker 3: is gonna speak. So they're having it this year. Nobody's
- 40:05Speaker 3: gonna show up. President Trump's not going. They'll get some people,
- 40:08Speaker 3: but not the big names. They won't show up. This
- 40:10Speaker 3: year means absolutely nothing. But at some point during the
- 40:12Speaker 3: sea pack and the speeches, somebody might attack Trump and
- 40:17Speaker 3: then you're gonna hear all over the fake news. You're
- 40:19Speaker 3: gonna hear the Megabasis torn apart, the Megabasis fighting a
- 40:24Speaker 3: civil war, and the MAGA. But this seapack has nothing
- 40:27Speaker 3: to do with the Magabase, no connection to anything. But
- 40:31Speaker 3: I'm just warning it. You're gonna hear about this for
- 40:32Speaker 3: a couple of days. They'll make a they'll make a
- 40:34Speaker 3: big deal out of it. Hey, Hey, speaking of television,
- 40:38Speaker 3: speaking of Connecticut, the television business is shrinking. People don't
- 40:43Speaker 3: watch television anymore. You know, people think the radio business
- 40:46Speaker 3: is shrinking. You got more people listening to the radio
- 40:49Speaker 3: now than twenty years ago. Every day, sixty three million
- 40:52Speaker 3: listen to AM radio talk radio one hundred and fifty
- 40:57Speaker 3: nine million listen to AMFM radio one hundred and fIF
- 41:00Speaker 3: fifty nine million. You know how many people watch network
- 41:03Speaker 3: TV twenty five million, that's it, twenty five million. So
- 41:10Speaker 3: it's shrinking and it's getting less all the time. So
- 41:12Speaker 3: the canceling shows, you know, they just canceled the Access Hollywood,
- 41:15Speaker 3: they canceled this show, that show. The syndicated shows less
- 41:18Speaker 3: and less of them. So it's affecting Connecticut because in Stamford, Connecticut,
- 41:24Speaker 3: years ago, they decided to open a big studio there
- 41:26Speaker 3: where they could do all these shows they did. I'm
- 41:29Speaker 3: trying to remember. They did a lot of shows there.
- 41:31Speaker 3: I know that's where Access Hollywood was using it, and
- 41:34Speaker 3: I think Maury Povich was using that for a while.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Jerry Springer used it, Steve Wilcose used it, Maury Povich. Yeah,
- 41:42Speaker 3: there were a bunch of shows, a lot of shows
- 41:44Speaker 3: coming out of Stamford. Was an old theater, a nice
- 41:47Speaker 3: theater called the Rich Forum, NBC converted to a TV studio.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Not one reason they went all the way up to
- 41:53Speaker 3: Stanford to do all these TV shows. It's non union.
- 41:55Speaker 3: You could save a fortune, you could have done cheaper. Well. Again,
- 41:58Speaker 3: all these TV shows are getting canceled, so they're closing
- 42:04Speaker 3: the theater. That's it, it's done. No more NBC TV
- 42:06Speaker 3: studio in Stanford closing it down. I guess it'll go
- 42:09Speaker 3: back to being the Rich Forum. And it's a very nice,
- 42:13Speaker 3: beautiful concert venue. So actually you're probably lucky. They're in Connecticut.
- 42:19Speaker 3: In Stamford, you've got a nice new concert venue. You know,
- 42:22Speaker 3: everywhere all over the Tri state area, all over the suburbs.
- 42:25Speaker 3: You got these beautiful little theaters and that's where all
- 42:28Speaker 3: the acts play. Now, you know, the Paramount and Huntington,
- 42:30Speaker 3: the Ridgefield Playhouse, the Paramount in this one in Westchester.
- 42:37Speaker 3: And of course New Jersey got a whole bunch of them,
- 42:38Speaker 3: the New Jersey and j Pack and the count Basy Theater.
- 42:43Speaker 3: So you get all these theaters all over the place.
- 42:44Speaker 3: So you'll get another one in Stamford. Now, crazy Mayor Mom, Donnie,
- 42:50Speaker 3: you remember all these Democrats that we yelled and screamed
- 42:52Speaker 3: about tariffs. They hate tariffs. Tariffs are going to destroy
- 42:55Speaker 3: the economy. If a business has to pay a tariff,
- 42:58Speaker 3: why they will raise their prices. It hurts everybody, It
- 43:01Speaker 3: hurts everybody's pocketbook. But nobody does more tariffs than the Democrats.
- 43:07Speaker 3: They love tariffs. Now they call it corporate tax. It's
- 43:11Speaker 3: the same thing. Actually it's worse. A tariff is not
- 43:14Speaker 3: as bad as a corporate tax, because if you put
- 43:16Speaker 3: a tariff on a product, the American company does not
- 43:20Speaker 3: really pay the whole tariff. Sometimes they pay none of it.
- 43:23Speaker 3: Sometimes the exporter pays it. But in every case, if
- 43:27Speaker 3: there's a tariff, the exporter has to pay some of it,
- 43:30Speaker 3: the middlemen pay some of it, and the American company
- 43:33Speaker 3: has to pay some of it. But if you put
- 43:35Speaker 3: a corporate tax, the American company pays it all one
- 43:40Speaker 3: hundred percent. So it's worse than a tariff. It's the
- 43:42Speaker 3: biggest tariff of all, a corporate tax. Crazy mayor Mom
- 43:46Speaker 3: Donnie is talking about we already have the highest corporate
- 43:49Speaker 3: tax right now, Crazy mayor Mom Donnie talking about raising it.
- 43:53Speaker 22: You know, I think that the two clearest ways to
- 43:56Speaker 22: raise that money is through the raising of the state's
- 43:58Speaker 22: corporate tax. To matters in New Jersey, I think that
- 44:00Speaker 22: a lot of this is still a case to be made,
- 44:02Speaker 22: whether it's the corporate tax or that's the personal income
- 44:04Speaker 22: tax on those who make more than a million dollars
- 44:06Speaker 22: a year or more. I think that these are the
- 44:08Speaker 22: clearest ways. I've also said that if there are other
- 44:11Speaker 22: ways to raise this funding, the most important fact is
- 44:13Speaker 22: that we funded.
- 44:14Speaker 3: Now. If you do this corporate tax, every company has
- 44:20Speaker 3: to raise the price of everything to match the tax.
- 44:23Speaker 3: So All it does is the price goes up and
- 44:26Speaker 3: a lot of companies move out, so you'll actually, in
- 44:29Speaker 3: the end get less revenue increase the cost to everybody. Now,
- 44:32Speaker 3: you could explain this to mom Donnie all day and night,
- 44:35Speaker 3: and he's not gonna learn. He doesn't care. They don't
- 44:38Speaker 3: care that socialist communist, democrat, left wing socialisty. It's all feelings.
- 44:44Speaker 3: They just feel it feels good, it sounds good. It
- 44:46Speaker 3: makes them feel good to do. It doesn't work, it
- 44:49Speaker 3: doesn't matter, it feels good. They they really enjoy doing
- 44:53Speaker 3: that just makes them feel better. Hey, you know, there's
- 44:56Speaker 3: an article in the New York Times about once in
- 44:59Speaker 3: a while they the New York Times is pretty bad
- 45:01Speaker 3: when it comes to news, it's just total fake news.
- 45:03Speaker 3: But they're not bad when it comes to these little
- 45:05Speaker 3: lifestyle things. And they write a piece about how many
- 45:08Speaker 3: older people are moving from Florida back to New York.
- 45:13Speaker 3: A lot of them coming back to New York as
- 45:15Speaker 3: they get old. You know, it used to be when
- 45:18Speaker 3: you get really old, you got to go to Florida,
- 45:20Speaker 3: as Seinfeldt said, that's the law. But a lot of
- 45:23Speaker 3: them getting real old and the problem now it was
- 45:27Speaker 3: different years ago. But now if you're living in Miami
- 45:29Speaker 3: or even Palm Beach or Bulkot, it's a big city
- 45:32Speaker 3: with gridlock, with traffic, with crime. Right back in New York,
- 45:37Speaker 3: it's a I mean, Miami is a traffic nightmare. There's
- 45:40Speaker 3: a crime all over the place in Miami. It's a problem.
- 45:45Speaker 3: So it's just like New York, except they don't have
- 45:47Speaker 3: the great doctors we have. They don't have all the
- 45:49Speaker 3: stuff we have. So there's a lot of older people
- 45:52Speaker 3: actually moving back to New York better healthcare, better medical
- 45:55Speaker 3: you know, all those people down there. When you get
- 45:56Speaker 3: really God forbid of a real medical problem, they have
- 45:59Speaker 3: to I'm running back to New York for a real doctor.
- 46:03Speaker 3: So you're starting to see and it's happened before. When
- 46:07Speaker 3: Florida became the hottest place in the world in the
- 46:09Speaker 3: late fifties early sixties, no hotter place in America. By
- 46:13Speaker 3: the end of the decade, it was dead and it
- 46:15Speaker 3: became a ghetto. In Miami, same thing happened in the eighties.
- 46:19Speaker 3: It got revived when Miami Vice came along. It got
- 46:22Speaker 3: hot again. Every people all flocking to Miami. By the
- 46:27Speaker 3: end of the decade, it was a mess. Again a ghetto,
- 46:29Speaker 3: completely bad all over again. So you may see that
- 46:33Speaker 3: happen again. By the end of this decade, you might
- 46:36Speaker 3: see an exodus start from Florida. Now the difference is
- 46:39Speaker 3: Palm Beach, sleepy little Palm Beach. It's filling up with
- 46:43Speaker 3: more restaurants, and right across is West Palm Beach that
- 46:47Speaker 3: is becoming a major city. The biggest, biggest, biggest developers,
- 46:51Speaker 3: Steve Roth related all those they're all down there building skyscrapers,
- 46:55Speaker 3: building you know, the Hudson Yards. They're building like fifty
- 46:58Speaker 3: of those down there. It's going to be tons of
- 47:01Speaker 3: people moving in. They're talking about creating a billionaire's row.
- 47:04Speaker 3: This is West Palm Beach.
- 47:07Speaker 12: Now.
- 47:07Speaker 3: They're making one huge mistake. They do this every so often,
- 47:11Speaker 3: though they did it in Austin, Texas. They do all
- 47:13Speaker 3: of this, but they forget to put in more roads.
- 47:18Speaker 3: So it's the same amount of roads with like a
- 47:20Speaker 3: million more people and a thousand more buildings, and all
- 47:22Speaker 3: of a sudden, it's gridlock everywhere. You can't move. Palm
- 47:26Speaker 3: Beach has the greatest airport because it's a little tiny
- 47:29Speaker 3: air of the little simple airport. They're doing all this
- 47:32Speaker 3: without doubling or tripling the size of the airport before
- 47:34Speaker 3: they do this. So Palm Beach, a lot of people
- 47:36Speaker 3: are worried is going to become a traffic nightmare West
- 47:39Speaker 3: Palm Beach. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred
- 47:42Speaker 3: three two one zero seven town is the number. Eight
- 47:46Speaker 3: hundred three two one zero seven to ten. Hey, make
- 47:50Speaker 3: sure you follow me on Instagram, Twitter, of course, but Instagram.
- 47:54Speaker 3: It's Mark Simone NYC at Instagram. A lot of pictures
- 47:58Speaker 3: and stuff up there. It takes some calls. Next eight
- 48:01Speaker 3: hundred three to two one zero seven ten, it's.
- 48:05Speaker 11: More Mark, Mark Simone, Han seventen tell me your Hey.
- 48:11Speaker 3: Let's take some call. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 48:15Speaker 3: seven ten is the number. Let's go to Jim in Arizona.
- 48:17Speaker 23: Jim, how you doing, Hey, Mark, Yeah, greetings from northern Arizona,
- 48:26Speaker 23: where I just met with my sister who's a super liberal,
- 48:32Speaker 23: and all I had to hear was that Trump was
- 48:35Speaker 23: bombing innocent Venezuelans, that the war had nothing to do
- 48:42Speaker 23: with our safety, and there's no help and there's nothing
- 48:47Speaker 23: that you can do for liberals except stay in Arizona
- 48:52Speaker 23: and not come to Bocer Withton Florida.
- 48:54Speaker 3: Well, tell her, Tell her to go to my Twitter.
- 48:57Speaker 3: There's a video clip up there where you'll see every
- 49:01Speaker 3: major figure of the Democratic Party, the Biden administration saying
- 49:05Speaker 3: Iran is an imminent threat. It's all cut together. This
- 49:09Speaker 3: is all her heroes saying Iran is nuclear, it's an
- 49:12Speaker 3: imminent threat. We have to stop them. Tell her a
- 49:15Speaker 3: look at.
- 49:15Speaker 18: That, showed her.
- 49:16Speaker 23: I showed her the picture of the Venezuelan fishing boat
- 49:20Speaker 23: with the drugs on it, and she said, oh, I
- 49:24Speaker 23: never saw that, So what did I do?
- 49:27Speaker 18: I changed the subject.
- 49:29Speaker 3: That's a good idea because liberals have a great talent
- 49:31Speaker 3: for it. Three seconds after you're going forgetting everything, you said, well, Jim,
- 49:35Speaker 3: thanks for calling. Yeah, I remember they we were bombing
- 49:38Speaker 3: the drug boats. They said, it's just a fishing boat.
- 49:40Speaker 3: Then you looked at the picture of it. I never
- 49:42Speaker 3: saw a fishing boat like that with forty five big
- 49:46Speaker 3: oil drums on it and seventeen high speed outboard motors.
- 49:51Speaker 3: I never saw a fishing boat going on two hundred
- 49:53Speaker 3: miles an hour through the water in the middle of
- 49:55Speaker 3: the night. Let's go to Stuart in South Carolina. Stuart,
- 49:58Speaker 3: how you.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Doing, Hey?
- 50:00Speaker 17: Mark, how are you You know?
- 50:01Speaker 24: I want to mention as far as Florida. You're absolutely right.
- 50:04Speaker 24: I've been in South Carolina about forty five years out
- 50:08Speaker 24: of New York, over fifty from Levittown, and what I'm
- 50:12Speaker 24: finding is most of these Floridians are New Yorkers, but
- 50:16Speaker 24: they will never go back to New York. They got
- 50:19Speaker 24: tired of Florida, as you said, but they're coming to
- 50:22Speaker 24: South Carolina and where the number one state with the
- 50:24Speaker 24: most people moving into it right now? Unfortunately. I yeah,
- 50:29Speaker 24: many many Floridians here in New York, and.
- 50:32Speaker 3: There are people coming back to New York. Believe or not.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Check out the New York Times article where they interview
- 50:36Speaker 3: a lot of these people.
- 50:37Speaker 20: In New York Times.
- 50:38Speaker 12: H I believe that one.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Well, lifestyle stuff there, they're pretty good.
- 50:44Speaker 24: I know it's like eighty Yeah, it's been eighty five
- 50:47Speaker 24: degrees here. It's been very nice, so.
- 50:49Speaker 3: It's gonna be seventy tomorrow here. I'll take that. Yeah,
- 50:52Speaker 3: thanks for calling. Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach.
- 50:55Speaker 3: Rich how you doing?
- 50:56Speaker 23: Hey?
- 50:57Speaker 20: Thanks? A couple of things. Mark, Number one Steward is right.
- 50:59Speaker 20: You people moving down here and here in Myrtle Beach
- 51:02Speaker 20: in South Carolina. They've even changed the name of the
- 51:05Speaker 20: Independent line and the ballot to the Forward Line. And
- 51:09Speaker 20: we got some women down here just look at him,
- 51:11Speaker 20: you know, the Liberals, and they're running on the forward
- 51:13Speaker 20: line to move things forward. They don't even have an
- 51:16Speaker 20: independent line anymore. And then the caller yesterday that brought
- 51:19Speaker 20: up a good point. If really it uses if we're
- 51:22Speaker 20: oil independent, and that WTI oil jumped the price like
- 51:27Speaker 20: the rest of the world did. That's pretty much price
- 51:29Speaker 20: gouging and the definition of price gouging when there's no
- 51:32Speaker 20: need to do that. Why is our guests going up
- 51:34Speaker 20: when our oil hasn't gone up, it's our own domestic oilth.
- 51:38Speaker 3: Absolutely good point. Yeah, there was no reason to raise them.
- 51:40Speaker 3: We don't get any oil from the Straits of Horn Moose.
- 51:42Speaker 3: We don't use that oil. China uses it, India use it.
- 51:45Speaker 3: We don't use any of it. We don't need it.
- 51:48Speaker 3: The two guys oil we use Brent crude comes from
- 51:50Speaker 3: the North Atlantic and WTI West Texas Intermediate, and those
- 51:55Speaker 3: WTI guys, most of the oil we uses from them,
- 51:58Speaker 3: just deliberately raise the price. They saw a price increase
- 52:01Speaker 3: overseas that raised the price. I'm sure a few phone
- 52:04Speaker 3: calls were made because they dropped it back down about
- 52:07Speaker 3: five bucks a barrel yesterday. Let's go to Gary in
- 52:11Speaker 3: Long Island. Gary, how you doing, Hi?
- 52:14Speaker 15: A mark?
- 52:14Speaker 18: It's scary. I just want to bring on a couple
- 52:18Speaker 18: of issues.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Yes, one was the.
- 52:22Speaker 18: You talk about tariffs, but you want them. Congestive pricing
- 52:27Speaker 18: is a is a way.
- 52:29Speaker 3: That's a terror.
- 52:29Speaker 18: Another way of calling tariffs.
- 52:31Speaker 3: That's right.
- 52:32Speaker 18: And you know what we need to call, you know,
- 52:34Speaker 18: a spade to spade and say, you know it, start
- 52:37Speaker 18: making a mark about Oh that's a pun a shout
- 52:44Speaker 18: out that conestic pricing is just tariffs.
- 52:48Speaker 6: That's right.
- 52:49Speaker 3: And where are you in Long Island?
- 52:52Speaker 18: That's piqua?
- 52:53Speaker 3: Oh, very good, excellent.
- 52:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 52:56Speaker 18: So the other thing, the guy just talked about the
- 53:00Speaker 18: price of gas going up. Yeah, well guess what, you know,
- 53:04Speaker 18: what's extra taxes they're getting summit figure it out.
- 53:07Speaker 3: Yeah, Now you know, when you see the price, how
- 53:10Speaker 3: come it's so high in New York? How come it's
- 53:11Speaker 3: so high in California? When you pay that whatever it is,
- 53:15Speaker 3: three dollars and fifty cents, about four cents is going
- 53:18Speaker 3: to the oil company. About six cens is going to
- 53:21Speaker 3: the gas station and the rest is all fees, taxes,
- 53:25Speaker 3: state taxes, local, So there's tons of gas tax on
- 53:29Speaker 3: all of that. One more, let's go to Trent in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Trent,
- 53:34Speaker 3: how you doing good?
- 53:36Speaker 15: And Mark?
- 53:36Speaker 3: How are you good?
- 53:38Speaker 17: All right, maybe you can clear up some confusion on
- 53:41Speaker 17: my part. Go ahead, now, the FCC, the FCC can
- 53:45Speaker 17: find you guys for using foul language.
- 53:48Speaker 3: Yeah, that correct, Yes, depends how you use it to
- 53:51Speaker 3: go ahead.
- 53:53Speaker 17: Well, also, you're telling me all these people, the NBC's
- 53:58Speaker 17: the NBCs are a lining. Isn't that really appropriate? Inappropriate language?
- 54:04Speaker 17: I don't understand how they can get away with that.
- 54:06Speaker 3: I have no idea what you're talking about. But as
- 54:08Speaker 3: long as you do, that's all that counts. You know,
- 54:10Speaker 3: they've actually loosened up that FCC stuff. You can actually
- 54:12Speaker 3: use foul language if you put a disclaimer first. You
- 54:16Speaker 3: can use it after ten pm at night. It's not
- 54:19Speaker 3: as strict as it as it used to be. Hey,
- 54:22Speaker 3: when we come back, we'll talk to the great columnist,
- 54:24Speaker 3: the best selling author and culter. Last to talk to
- 54:27Speaker 3: her about and we'll get to that in a moment.
- 54:30Speaker 3: On seven to ten.
- 54:31Speaker 1: Wo r mister newjaws, Marximone, you're the best seven tenor.
- 54:40Speaker 3: And Culter, the best selling author, the great columnist. You
- 54:44Speaker 3: can get all of her best selling books at Amazon.
- 54:46Speaker 3: You can follow her on Twitter. Great stuff there and
- 54:50Speaker 3: even better Substack where she's got podcasts and interviews, the
- 54:53Speaker 3: column all sorts of stuff. Just go to and culture
- 54:56Speaker 3: dot substack dot com and culture dot dot com and Culter.
- 55:02Speaker 21: How you doing fantastic? How are you Marximone?
- 55:06Speaker 3: I'm good. You haven't had to go through any airports
- 55:08Speaker 3: have you lately?
- 55:10Speaker 1: Uh?
- 55:10Speaker 21: No, not recently. I'd love just saying a load to
- 55:13Speaker 21: ice ations and tell them to please get back on
- 55:16Speaker 21: the street and back to work.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Well yeah, because according to Blumenthal, the Connecticut centers, they're
- 55:22Speaker 3: going to start shooting people in the airports and ripping
- 55:26Speaker 3: kids away from their families.
- 55:28Speaker 21: We haven't seen so apparently the lines are moving much
- 55:31Speaker 21: more smoothly. The flying public loves them, but I think
- 55:35Speaker 21: the flying public always love them. Liberals are just very
- 55:39Speaker 21: very loud, but Americans keep saying they want the mass deportations. Duh,
- 55:46Speaker 21: you know you just tweeted. I don't know if you
- 55:48Speaker 21: saw my retweet of you someone had put up Bocrats
- 55:54Speaker 21: are describing as their dream administration in the future and
- 55:59Speaker 21: new some as president and I don't know AOC is
- 56:02Speaker 21: vice president Jasmine croc okay okay yah. That would be fantastic.
- 56:12Speaker 21: But the thing is that's perfectly plausible unless Trump gets
- 56:16Speaker 21: back to mass deportations and building the wall. This this
- 56:21Speaker 21: is the idea the Democrats long have long said it
- 56:25Speaker 21: out loud. This is how they're going to to achieve
- 56:29Speaker 21: total hegemony over America. I mean, look at, as I've
- 56:34Speaker 21: often said, California, red state, gave us Nixon and Reagan
- 56:39Speaker 21: no chance. Now we even had, not that long ago,
- 56:44Speaker 21: Republican senders and governors in New York State and and
- 56:49Speaker 21: of course the mayor of New York not flipped. They
- 56:54Speaker 21: have flipped state by state, which is why at this
- 56:57Speaker 21: point they're so focused on on Texas. It's the last
- 57:01Speaker 21: one they need.
- 57:02Speaker 12: Now.
- 57:02Speaker 21: It may not be Texas, but they've they've flipped an
- 57:07Speaker 21: awful lot of states. Oregon, Washington, all these states used
- 57:11Speaker 21: to give US Republican senators, and of course the senators.
- 57:15Speaker 21: The makeup of Congress is a reflection of how the
- 57:18Speaker 21: people who happen to be loads and loads of immigrants
- 57:23Speaker 21: from authoritarian and left wing and well not well fair
- 57:29Speaker 21: dependent dependent, but they're now welfare dependent people who will
- 57:32Speaker 21: if they're not voting now, they and their kids are
- 57:36Speaker 21: going to start voting. It's coming. It's a title wave.
- 57:39Speaker 21: That's why immigration is the most important issue. That horror
- 57:43Speaker 21: show you posted that I think is quite unrealistic next election.
- 57:49Speaker 21: Although Newsom could be president, I don't think that would
- 57:53Speaker 21: be his cabinet. It's very plausible before the end of
- 57:58Speaker 21: our lives and us in the lives of all the
- 58:02Speaker 21: children and grandchildren.
- 58:04Speaker 3: They get back to the Airport's the idea of the
- 58:06Speaker 3: TSA patting you down and all that. It's twenty five
- 58:09Speaker 3: years after nine to eleven. Do we really need to
- 58:11Speaker 3: keep doing that anymore?
- 58:14Speaker 21: I'm glad you asked that. Oh Joon, no, no, no,
- 58:19Speaker 21: What is Trump doing? Why hasn't he gotten rid of
- 58:21Speaker 21: the TSA? Do they all vote for him? Is he
- 58:25Speaker 21: afraid that in one election cycle Republicans will lose their
- 58:28Speaker 21: vote votes? Maybe do it now because we're about to
- 58:30Speaker 21: be wiped out in the mid terms anyway, So who cares?
- 58:34Speaker 6: No.
- 58:35Speaker 21: As I've said before, every year they've started hiding the
- 58:37Speaker 21: results of their studies. But every year TSA is put
- 58:41Speaker 21: through a test, the government tests, you know, how are
- 58:43Speaker 21: you guys doing, And they try to slip all kinds
- 58:46Speaker 21: of weapons through TSA missus ninety percent of them, over
- 58:51Speaker 21: and over and over again. And a few years ago
- 58:54Speaker 21: they said, okay, we're going to stop publicizing these studies.
- 58:57Speaker 21: We're not releasing these the public. Somebody ought to do
- 58:59Speaker 21: it for your request.
- 59:00Speaker 13: On that.
- 59:01Speaker 21: So number one accomplishes absolutely nothing and tortures the flying public.
- 59:09Speaker 21: I mean, it used to be sort of pleasant to fly.
- 59:11Speaker 21: It's funny you watch these old movies were just you know,
- 59:14Speaker 21: walking and going straight from the car, walking onto the tarmac,
- 59:17Speaker 21: walking up on the plane. Let the airlines take care
- 59:21Speaker 21: of their own airport security. They who has the most
- 59:24Speaker 21: incentive to present to prevent an airplane from going down
- 59:30Speaker 21: the airline. If an airline is overtaken by terrorists, that'll
- 59:36Speaker 21: be bad for the bottom line. They will go out
- 59:38Speaker 21: of business. Moreover, as the TSA itself admits, they go
- 59:43Speaker 21: looking for these threats. Is anybody trying to take over
- 59:45Speaker 21: an airplane? Of course they aren't. Mark Simone nine to
- 59:50Speaker 21: eleven is a sucker. Punch that works once. It works once.
- 59:54Speaker 21: They couldn't even get the fourth plane to complete its
- 59:56Speaker 21: mission because once people realize, oh, they're not hijacking the
- 1:00:00Speaker 21: plane to take us to Cuba and demand money and
- 1:00:03Speaker 21: a getaway car. Once they realized they're going to turn
- 1:00:06Speaker 21: something that had never been done before, turn a commercial
- 1:00:09Speaker 21: airplane into a missile, it can never be done again.
- 1:00:13Speaker 21: It can only be done as a surprise attack. Well haha, now.
- 1:00:17Speaker 20: We know.
- 1:00:20Speaker 21: It's it's it's utterly Oh and by the way, who
- 1:00:23Speaker 21: has the most incentive to make sure terrorists aren't getting
- 1:00:25Speaker 21: on planes? Something that is I think very little known,
- 1:00:29Speaker 21: though I keep screaming it from the rooftops. There was
- 1:00:32Speaker 21: a gate agent I don't know. Maybe he was I
- 1:00:34Speaker 21: don't know if he was TSA. I think it was
- 1:00:35Speaker 21: a gate agent tour. He was taking tickets for the flights,
- 1:00:41Speaker 21: the one out of Boston on nine to eleven and
- 1:00:44Speaker 21: the one Muhammed Ada got on. And he later said
- 1:00:47Speaker 21: he looked at Muhammad Ada so he had no luggage,
- 1:00:50Speaker 21: thought it was the most evil looking person he had
- 1:00:52Speaker 21: ever seen. And he said to himself, if I if
- 1:00:57Speaker 21: I've ever seen a terrorists, this guy is a terror
- 1:01:00Speaker 21: But then he says, I gave myself a politically correct
- 1:01:04Speaker 21: slack and let them board the plane. Do you think
- 1:01:09Speaker 21: you'd get a promotion at American Airlines or United No?
- 1:01:13Speaker 21: I oh, yes, he looked like a terrorist, but I
- 1:01:16Speaker 21: let him through.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:01:18Speaker 21: But for you kids today measuring this for no reason,
- 1:01:21Speaker 21: why is he not getting rid of this?
- 1:01:22Speaker 12: Why? Why? Why?
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: Yeah, you figure kids today, twenty six years ago, he
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: could show up at the airport six minutes before the flight,
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: just wave your ticket and go right on the plane.
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: And remember shuttle to Boston. You didn't even need a ticket.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: You could just jump on the plane and buy your
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: ticket on the plane. It's a different world back then.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: So hey, that's crazy, Mayor, Mom, Donnie you brought him up.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: Wants to raise our taxes, corporate taxes. How come these
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: people can't figure out that this never works, You actually
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: get less revenue. They've tried it a billion times, fails
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: every time. Why don't they ever realize this?
- 1:02:00Speaker 21: That's a good question. I guess it's I guess it's
- 1:02:05Speaker 21: the short term gain, and they figure somebody else is
- 1:02:08Speaker 21: gonna have I mean, it's the same thing in Congress,
- 1:02:11Speaker 21: just keeps spending spending, build up this gigantic deficit. They
- 1:02:14Speaker 21: can buy their way to reelection and then you know,
- 1:02:17Speaker 21: the next administration can deal with.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's just insane. Also, before we run out
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: of time, you've got another case of poor kid murdered
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: by an illegal. It gets absolutely no coverage anywhere. What
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: do we do about that?
- 1:02:35Speaker 21: It's really something Well, I think I think the American people,
- 1:02:40Speaker 21: the voters have done everything they can do. They've now
- 1:02:44Speaker 21: elected the guy who promised to build a war wall
- 1:02:46Speaker 21: and this last time promised I quote, mass deportations. What
- 1:02:51Speaker 21: else can people do? For Meatee's sake? We elected a
- 1:02:55Speaker 21: lunatic reality TV show host. We promised to build a wall,
- 1:03:02Speaker 21: illegal lunatic, and.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: You can't call him a reality TV show host.
- 1:03:10Speaker 21: That was not what the Apprentice was.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: That was like half a second out of a fifty
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: year career. That's how call him. Ronald Reagan just a
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: lifeguard who got elected.
- 1:03:18Speaker 21: Well, it was what he was most famous for.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: No, it was, and he was famous before that.
- 1:03:24Speaker 13: He was.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: You know, I asked the guy that created the Apprentice,
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: he came up with the format. I said, what made
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: you pick Trump? He said, well, we came up with
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: this idea, and then we said who's the most famous
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: businessman in America? And it was Donald Trump. That's how
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: he got the show.
- 1:03:38Speaker 21: For bankruptcy.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: He didn't have any bankruptcies. That was the he did not.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Those are the casinos and that was all of Atlantic
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: City went bankrupt. MGM had bankruptcy.
- 1:03:48Speaker 21: There a very unusual presidential candidate, much less president.
- 1:03:54Speaker 16: What got him elected, I'll give you.
- 1:03:56Speaker 21: That was the wall and the mass deportation. For I'm
- 1:04:00Speaker 21: elected a second time.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: He's getting it.
- 1:04:04Speaker 21: If if if you want to, if you want to
- 1:04:09Speaker 21: not have that administration you tweeted today, the only hope
- 1:04:13Speaker 21: is Searchum to keep his promises right, He'll gail, he'll.
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: Get back to it.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: He'll get back to it. Well, you go, uh, you
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: go wobbly on him. Sometimes your forum you're against him.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Your forum, you're against all.
- 1:04:24Speaker 21: Well, the clocks a chicken. You saw that a Democrat,
- 1:04:29Speaker 21: just one in special election is in his own district
- 1:04:32Speaker 21: in Palm Beach, a district he won by eleven points.
- 1:04:35Speaker 21: This bodes very poorly for the midterms. Oh my gosh,
- 1:04:39Speaker 21: the Iran war boots.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: That is that is true. You've got a good point there. Well,
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: We're out of time, but everybody follow and Culture on Twitter.
