- 0:58welcome back to the aftermath of podcast.
- 1:01Yes, it's Thursday and we're back again.
- 1:03If you tuned in last week, you would have noticed that we
- 1:05didn't release our usual episode and we aired something that we
- 1:08filmed back in Ramadan. I highly recommend you go back
- 1:11and listen to that episode if you have not yet listen to that
- 1:16now. We have so much to discuss.
- 1:18I haven't seen Ahmed for almost 2 weeks now, so Salaam alaikum.
- 1:31Alaikum. Salaam how you doing?
- 1:37I've what's happening in the hood Better other way?
- 1:40They say it was better. No, I was going to say I was
- 1:44going to say, but it's maybe I reference it during the podcast.
- 1:50I'll mention what I mean. But yeah, better other way.
- 1:53House of Gokul. Yeah, I'm good, bro.
- 1:56Hamdullah. Hamdullah Shukar.
- 1:58How are you? I'm, well, I can't complain.
- 2:00Yeah, honey, I'm, I'm back to the UK.
- 2:03You know, if, if, if our viewers and our subscribers and
- 2:06Charlotte is subscribed by now. They tuned in two weeks ago.
- 2:09Yeah, they would have heard that.
- 2:10I recently just came back from Umrah.
- 2:13I was there for a week. So I'm still trying to settle in
- 2:17into normal. Life you told me two days ago
- 2:19you're your sleep has not regulated and I was thinking bro
- 2:22it's only like 3 hours time difference.
- 2:24The thing is, it wasn't the time difference, Ahmed.
- 2:26It was, I think the lack of sleep.
- 2:28Yeah, that was happening. I think that we spent almost an
- 2:31entire day of travelling, by the way, 'cause we, we, we left the
- 2:35UK in the afternoon, we got there at night in Ryav, and then
- 2:38we waited for many hours. We had to catch another flight
- 2:41all the way to Medina and so on and so forth.
- 2:44And all of that was hardly any sleep.
- 2:46You know, when, when you're travelling with good brothers,
- 2:48there's no sleep, Let's be honest, late night discussions.
- 2:53But you know what, those discussions, I think I'll never
- 2:55forget them, honestly. Especially, especially when you
- 2:58have convos with a brother like Zahidi Hamad Zahidi, he was an
- 3:03amazing supporter after May I love bless him.
- 3:06Honestly, I I I have to take out his phone and hit follow.
- 3:11Guys, do you know what? Yeah.
- 3:13I'm sorry. We love this guy's like he's,
- 3:16he's like family to us. This brother is.
- 3:19We love him so much. I love him.
- 3:21I love him. I love him.
- 3:22OK? I love him, however, he's part
- 3:24of our group chats. He's part of our group chats.
- 3:27We've added him by force. Yeah, into the internal
- 3:30aftermath. The guy has never seen one
- 3:32episode in his life I love. He's not.
- 3:33I had to force him to subscribe. I think he followed us when we
- 3:36were on like 10K followers. Yeah, you know, so.
- 3:39And despite the fact that he sees us nearly every two or
- 3:42three days, That's crazy. No, may Allah bless him as well
- 3:44as I travelled with a good brother, a good friend of mine I
- 3:47think from very early. Childhood on the podcast, Say
- 3:49Mohammed. Say Mohammed Musa, We and we
- 3:50spoke about our buying about two years ago.
- 3:53Yeah, one of the first podcasts we did.
- 3:55You know, someone asked me how did it feel travelling with your
- 3:58friends to Amara, because normally people go on like Zeara
- 4:01groups or family and things like this.
- 4:04And the first thing that came to my head and I and I think I said
- 4:06it to them as well over there. I was like, you know, normally
- 4:08with your friends, you discuss, you know, let's go to let's go
- 4:11Spain, you know, let's go, I don't know, let's go to some
- 4:13beach in Dubai or something. But Ashley said, you know,
- 4:16let's, let's go to the House of a lot Azza Wajal.
- 4:19So that was that was unique and I think it reminds us we need to
- 4:22have friends like this one. 100% bro yeah I need.
- 4:25Someone who tells you so. Listen, listen, tell me about
- 4:26it. So sorry to interrupt you, but
- 4:28like, OK, so you went on. Why?
- 4:30Why did you go without a group, without like a spiritual guide,
- 4:36without a RSI? Do you know what I mean?
- 4:40Without a structure. See, back in the day, I don't
- 4:43want to prolong my answer here, but back in the day, you really
- 4:46had to go with the group because you had like visa restrictions
- 4:49and things like this. But because recently over the
- 4:51last, I think year or two, the access to Saudi Arabia has been
- 4:56very easy. All you need is a visa and you
- 4:58can go. You don't need, you know, to
- 4:59book with a travel agent and apply for a Umbra or a Haj visa
- 5:03and things like this. Although Haj there are
- 5:04restrictions, but for Umbra, it's easy access.
- 5:07Anyone can go any time of the year outside of the high season.
- 5:10So you know, last week prior, a week prior, sorry to go on
- 5:15Umrah. We were together.
- 5:17We were actually having Chai Chai Karek and we looked at we
- 5:20looked at each other and we were like, I think it was me.
- 5:23I'm not going to I'm not going to take credit.
- 5:24Well, I was like, guys, I think it needs a trip to Umrah.
- 5:27Like honestly, I said it and and I think we all looked at each
- 5:30other and I remember I'm not going to mention well, who who
- 5:32it was. He was like, I don't know, I
- 5:34need to chat to my missus. And I was like, bro, imagine now
- 5:38you speak to your missus and she tells you I don't want you to
- 5:41go. What?
- 5:41You're going to stop. You're going to tell me you're
- 5:43going to allow your wife, you're going to allow your wife to say
- 5:47no, you're not going to the House of God.
- 5:49So we all make the decision, decision then and there.
- 5:51Let's walk and then we'll deal with the.
- 5:53Consequences. I think you're going to get in
- 5:54trouble for that. I'm not.
- 5:55Going to lie to you, maybe it was me, I said.
- 5:57I'm not going to miss. You.
- 5:59But listen, I'm going to ask you a couple quick questions.
- 6:01It was a calling genuinely to answer it.
- 6:03Of course it was a. Calling, you know, these things
- 6:05are divine intervention. I'm saying Allah's invited you
- 6:09to, to, to the Kaaba like that's not a joke, you know, and you're
- 6:12going to, to the, the grave shrine of Allah Muhammad
- 6:16Salallahu Salam and gentle Baki. And you know, the, the, the
- 6:21mosques in Mecca and Medina are like, there's, there's nothing
- 6:25more pure. And I've been when I was young
- 6:27and I loved it and I vividly remember I have like maybe 10 or
- 6:3115 very vivid memories from there when I was younger.
- 6:35And it's beautiful. Absolutely.
- 6:37And you know what's crazy? Sorry.
- 6:39I'll just one thing that I you know what I'm grateful for my
- 6:43grandmother, may Allah bless her, protect her when I was
- 6:45young, she took me for Amla and I have a lot of memories suffer
- 6:50Madawa and like just many things.
- 6:52One thing I vividly remember was the first time we saw the Kaaba.
- 6:57A lot. And I was, I was really
- 7:00struggling with my Kanan restitution when I was young,
- 7:02really compared to my siblings. I don't know what it is ADHD,
- 7:06something like I, I, I just couldn't, OK.
- 7:09My siblings were way better than me and we all used to practice
- 7:12the same amount daily basis with our grandmother who's a who was
- 7:15a Quran teacher. And it just wasn't clicking.
- 7:19And I remember her telling me, look at the cut about maker da,
- 7:22that your Quran is good, but you enjoy it.
- 7:26And I came home and bro, I promise you, it was like I had
- 7:30aged 3 or 4 years in my development of Quran and I came
- 7:35back and I was fluent in my unrest station.
- 7:38And she always, till this day, she always talks about it.
- 7:40But anyway, going back to the story or the questions rather,
- 7:44what are I'm going to ask? Like two or three of the things.
- 7:46Yeah. What was your highlight?
- 7:48What was like the moment or like a memory or like an experience
- 7:52or like a feeling in your heart that you're like, yeah, that was
- 7:54a highlight for me. The entire experience I think
- 7:59was something that I won't forget.
- 8:02I know it sounds possibly cheesy.
- 8:04I enjoyed every moment because at every stage I felt like I'm
- 8:08Muslim. Yeah.
- 8:09And if someone told me the other day, how did it feel to go
- 8:14Umrah? And, for example, compared to
- 8:16Ziara, to Karbala Meshadi, my brother, I was like, look, I'm
- 8:20going to be real. And I'll say as it is, when I go
- 8:23to Ziara, I'm Shiite. I feel Shiite but when I went to
- 8:27Umbra. The Global.
- 8:28Omra I felt like I was a Shia, a Muslim like I, I, I felt like I
- 8:32was able to connect not just to our, you know, our in the Orasul
- 8:38Allah, but to God himself directly.
- 8:40Because when I saw the Kaaba, when I you know, you know, after
- 8:44doing the the Mikad entering the state of Haram, leaving Masjid,
- 8:48the Shahjari heading towards Mecca, eventually finally
- 8:51getting entering the mosque, entering the doors, going by the
- 8:57stages, going past the pillars, going down towards there's the
- 9:01cabinet in front of you. Allah.
- 9:02I think the first thing that came to my to my mind, I was
- 9:04like, you're the king, you're my master and I'm your slave.
- 9:10That's what I felt. I felt like, you know, this is
- 9:13where we have been praying towards all our life.
- 9:16This is, you know, the sacred House of Allah, Subhan Allah.
- 9:20So that feeling, I was, I, I didn't just feel like, OK, yes,
- 9:24I'm Shia or something. No, I felt that I believed in La
- 9:27Ilaha Allah, Muhammad Rasool Allah, and of course, Ali, Ali
- 9:30Allah. That was my yeah.
- 9:33It's like it completed my experiences of all the Ziaras
- 9:37I've been to. This was like the cherry on top,
- 9:41if that makes sense. But at the same time, also when
- 9:43I was in Medina and Messi, the Naboi roll, that place is
- 9:46something else. Why is there something else?
- 9:48Firstly, yes, it's Rasulullah Muhammad sallallahu alaihi, but
- 9:51we have a connection there, Shia.
- 9:53We connect with the places and something I would say as a sad
- 9:56reality, I think in the Muslim world, an observation I made
- 9:59while I was there in Masjid and Naboi and the surrounding areas.
- 10:03Be a genital, but be, be a, you know, the Rover, be it the, the,
- 10:08the actual Bari Al Rasulallah himself and certain other
- 10:12special moments with places with significance is that I felt like
- 10:16many people that went to the Masjid, it was like a museum
- 10:20experience for them. And I felt sad that they don't
- 10:23know the significance of this place.
- 10:24Yes, they know Rasulallah is buried here, but that's it for
- 10:27them. This is what I saw, this is what
- 10:30I felt, and it was upsetting at the Om of Rasul Allah.
- 10:34He didn't really connect with Rasul Allah the way.
- 10:36Of course he deserves to be connected to.
- 10:38Yeah, man, I don't know if you get what I'm.
- 10:40Trying to say it must be really infuriating.
- 10:42Yes, it must. Be really infuriating.
- 10:43No, on a personal level I was satisfied.
- 10:47My heart was content and I also had handle up and I remembered
- 10:51all of you. Guys, every year.
- 10:53I I remembered, I think I didn't say every subscriber, but I said
- 10:56everyone who benefits from aftermath.
- 10:57Of course. Yeah.
- 10:58So for those who don't benefit because many people watches on
- 11:01that they're haters, right? Some people are not awesome on
- 11:03that. I don't pray for them.
- 11:05I prayed for those who have love for a lost one.
- 11:08Whatever. I said no.
- 11:09I said don't, no, awesome, don't know.
- 11:11They misunderstand. Anyone who and also be someone
- 11:14who is their inmates. How can you love God?
- 11:16You can't love God. You can't.
- 11:18Impossible. In Charlotte you get to go every
- 11:19year bro in Charlotte. One day together.
- 11:22And I think if I can say one last thing about my own
- 11:26experience is that I really wish I went with my family because it
- 11:31was it was something was like I wish my wife was there.
- 11:33I wish my children were with me. You know, I wish my family were
- 11:37with me siblings and all of this this I felt like it needs
- 11:40another experience with them. Of course.
- 11:41Yeah. And inshallah I don't know a
- 11:43lot. And a lot makes you know, like
- 11:45it would be an enjoyable experience.
- 11:47Every, you know, like every ziyada has its own experience
- 11:50and you create memories and going with family would be
- 11:54really special. It would be grateful like your
- 11:57marriage and your children and their upbringing and shaping
- 12:00them with memories. Like I said with me when I when
- 12:03you went when you were a kid as well, like these kind of things
- 12:06shape your memory growing up and it solidifies your identity as a
- 12:09Muslim and as part of the globe warmer.
- 12:11Like when I, when I was a child with the family, I remember, I
- 12:15like, I remember more the aeroplane and the hotel than I
- 12:18do, yeah, than I do Mecca and Medina, Right.
- 12:21So I think because at a young age I didn't know the
- 12:23significance possibly on the place, so I didn't connect well
- 12:26with knowing my surroundings and environment.
- 12:30And I will say one last thing then Inshallah will move the
- 12:32conversation and that's. Hamdullah, Yeah.
- 12:37Ham Kumallah, God bless you. Thank you.
- 12:41I would say, Ahmed, is that I don't want to make it a shitty
- 12:46moment, but when I went to genital Bacaya and perhaps maybe
- 12:51this can lead us into a conversation like when I went to
- 12:55genital Bacaya, it was firstly a in a feeling that, you know, we
- 13:02have the Emma who are oppressed while lomine and who are who
- 13:06their graves are abandoned and lonely, right?
- 13:09But something that really upset me was that the area of our
- 13:16Masomine who are buried there, the area was closed off.
- 13:20So we couldn't really, how can I say, connect the way like we do
- 13:25when we go ZR and Karbala, like we're blessed when we go to
- 13:28Najaf and visit him. Ali, Ali, we go to, we go to
- 13:33they've, they've. Done it in such a way now where
- 13:37it's even less of his. I was going to come to this.
- 13:39So now there's actually like bricks that's being built around
- 13:42it. And it's like, I feel like
- 13:44compared to previous years that I've seen from videos and
- 13:46images, it's like they've raised the ground a little.
- 13:49So it's no longer an eyesight. That's crazy.
- 13:50So only if you know, you know from far that this is your
- 13:55imams, these are the Helen Bait and Charla Blasco last one that
- 13:59there will come a day where we see.
- 14:01A Dome reconstruction. And the minaret over their
- 14:03graves. Shahar Hosseini, Kari Zohar, who
- 14:07came on the podcast, one of the things he did was he actually
- 14:11developed. He's an architect.
- 14:14Yeah, by his like profession, he developed a model and I think he
- 14:19co-authored a book, if I'm not mistaken with Sheikh Muhammad
- 14:22Heli on gentle bucket and he talked a lot about the like he
- 14:27actually designed, he submitted his design to the office of the
- 14:33different mirage if I'm not mistaken.
- 14:34I may be wrong on what his submission would be for the
- 14:38reconstruction of bucket. Like imagine that.
- 14:39Like I thought he went into. I remember seeing the drawings,
- 14:42the Bowers like one day, nuts Marshall one day.
- 14:45All right, let's let's crown a crack on the conversation.
- 14:47A lot's happening. So for those who were not, like
- 14:51I said, said a couple of weeks ago, we had a podcast on Donald
- 14:54Trump and the election with said I'm Mark Azmi, who's a great
- 14:59friend of ours and 10 out of 10 podcasts really, really good.
- 15:02Likewise, last week we had a discussion with Sheikh Sadiq
- 15:05Megji and that was a discussion from Shahala Malvan.
- 15:08And that topic was why do I or do I blindly follow the religion
- 15:12of my parents? Because of course we've seen the
- 15:14100 Quran. Allah talks about the people who
- 15:15follow the religion of their parents.
- 15:17And we want to know how we do we fall into that category?
- 15:19And if so, how can we get out of that category and and be people
- 15:22who don't do that? So we talked about that.
- 15:24I was a wicked amazing podcast. And this week of course, is or
- 15:30in the week gone by, the 2nd narration of the commemoration
- 15:35of Fatimiya. And for those who don't know
- 15:38what Fatimiya is in, in, in a literal sense, Fatimiya is the
- 15:43commemoration of the death anniversary of say the Fatima to
- 15:46Zahra Salaam Alayhi Alayhi, the daughter of the Holy Prophet of
- 15:49Islam, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.
- 15:53And it's really, I think say, and I'm sure you'll agree, it's,
- 15:57it's a time of the year which is so monumental for us in many
- 16:01ways. If I'm going to be real about my
- 16:04understanding or my experience with FAFA me on a personal
- 16:07level, it's less, less. It's, it's not given the
- 16:12attention it deserves or the recognition it deserves.
- 16:15And that could be for different reasons.
- 16:17The first could be that there are obviously 3 narrations which
- 16:21split different people's commemorations accordingly
- 16:25according to the calendar. Not that that's an excuse, but
- 16:28yeah #2 is there? Of course those who don't accept
- 16:33the narrations of what actually took place in Fatima, which I
- 16:37know a portion of the community does and some don't.
- 16:40And again, that comes down to differences in research and each
- 16:43to their own. And the third, in my opinion, is
- 16:46that we are very unified, as we should be on the day of Ashura,
- 16:50but less so on the days and the nights of Fatha Media.
- 16:53And that's something which I think we need to talk about.
- 16:55So I'm going to start this conversation here by mentioning
- 16:57something to you which I read and I think I posted on the
- 17:00podcast page a few days ago. OK.
- 17:03And this was written by Ayatollah Gulpe Ghani, Saathi
- 17:07Gulpe Ghani. And he wrote this is this is
- 17:09crazy. Fatimiya is an era.
- 17:12Fatimiya means to oppose the leaders of oppression.
- 17:15Fatimiya means to wage war in order for truth to be victorious
- 17:19over falsehood. And ultimately, Fatimiya means
- 17:22the global and divinely appointed governors of Imam and
- 17:24Mahdi, may Allah his and his noble advent.
- 17:27Yes indeed, Fatimiya is Ashura, Fatimiya is the knight of Qadar,
- 17:31Fatimiya is Ghadir, Fatimiya is the 15th of Shahaban.
- 17:34And Fatimiya is in its true essence, the day of victory of
- 17:39light over dark. And in a day like now, in a time
- 17:43like now, where we have darkness proceeding over light in many
- 17:47ways, where we have oppression and we have tyranny, which is at
- 17:51the forefront of our minds and on display on our screens.
- 17:56And we have ignorance kind of just plaguing over the world
- 18:02around us. There's no other time for, no
- 18:05better time really, for Fatima to come out.
- 18:08You know, like when we talk about the rights of say, the
- 18:11Fatima and how her rights were usurped in many ways it reminds
- 18:17us of all of the Omaha name of Salaam and how they equally say
- 18:20it as well. So Imam and Mehdi, if I'm not
- 18:22mistaken, in the book of docket art in Baharal Alwar, if I'm not
- 18:26mistaken, references Jafr al Kebab, who of course claimed
- 18:30that Omar, he claimed the Imam rather, and he likens him to
- 18:34those who, who, who, who deny the Imama of Seyda Fatima.
- 18:42And he mentions my grandmother Seyda Fatima and her Imama.
- 18:46And in the same way she talks about how her Imama as well on
- 18:49multiple occasions, she talks about Imam Matana, you know,
- 18:53when she talks about our rights as the Imams and that this is
- 18:57Surat al Mustafim. And it just goes to show that
- 19:00the like, I think it's really important to for us to
- 19:03understand that we can't understand Fatima unless we
- 19:05understand who Seyda Fatima was, Who is Bibi Zara?
- 19:08Like, what is her maqam? You know what?
- 19:11What? Who is this great lady that the
- 19:13imams themselves? Imam Hussein says himself that
- 19:16they, the imams before me were great.
- 19:18And he says my mother and my father and my older brother were
- 19:21greater than I am. We're talking about Imam
- 19:24Hussein. Do you know what I mean?
- 19:26So, like, maybe it's a good point to some because do Muslims
- 19:29love be without them? Yeah, of course Muslims do.
- 19:31But do they really love her? They really love her.
- 19:33Do we know what happened? Forget what happened, but who
- 19:37she was. I don't think you'll find any
- 19:38Muslim that will claim they don't have love for say the
- 19:41Fatima Ali as Salaam. It's I think it's impossible,
- 19:45but I don't think all Muslims understand what true love is for
- 19:50Ali Muhammad, right? Sallallahu Ali, Ali Wasallam and
- 19:54I think something unique to us as Shia.
- 19:56Look, I'm probably going to say as Shia many times during this
- 20:00conversation because I say as it is, I think we have.
- 20:05Understood the status of Ahlil Beit Ali Huma Salaam according
- 20:09to the teachings of Rasul Allah Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
- 20:12alaihi wasallam. Because when he says things like
- 20:15Fatima is a part of me, whoever hurts her hurts me.
- 20:20Whoever angers Fatima, angers me, angers Allah azawajal.
- 20:25These are not small things because I say why they're not
- 20:29small things. Firstly, he didn't say that
- 20:32about any other lady. Did he say that by any other
- 20:35lady, Ahmed in history? I don't know.
- 20:36I haven't come across. If you come across, I want to
- 20:38know honestly. So on one level we see there's a
- 20:42special, special conversations that are unique just for say the
- 20:46Fatima why Rasul Allah Muhammad, her father sallallahu alaihi
- 20:50wasallam. And you know, there's even, you
- 20:52know, Subhanallah, the other day I was listening to, to, to a
- 20:57lecture, an Arabic lecture by Sheikh Hasnaoui.
- 21:02And he was given a point where he was like no one truly
- 21:07understood Fatima Alayhi Salaam. They only understood her by how
- 21:11Rasul Allah treated her and spoke of her that it was to such
- 21:16a level that people will be mesmerized.
- 21:18Like why does Rasul Allah treat his daughter like this?
- 21:21Why does he speak speak of her like this to the extent that one
- 21:26of the wives of Rasul Allah, Aisha, she went to Rasulallah
- 21:30one day, she told him, You know, O Messenger of Allah, I I see
- 21:34the way you treat Fatima. I see the way you speak with
- 21:37her. I see the way you welcome her,
- 21:40the way you kiss her hand, the way that you would ask
- 21:44permission to enter her home, the way that when she comes into
- 21:48your presence, you would stand up and offer her your seats.
- 21:51But there is one thing I haven't understood Rasulallah, why do
- 21:56you kiss the neck of Fatima? He tells her, if I yearn, Jenna,
- 22:04I kiss the neck of Fatima like, well, when you hear these things
- 22:09and then when you hear what happened to her the way, you
- 22:12know, you mentioned a bit early on, like, we live in a world
- 22:14where there's darkness and we were trying to look for that
- 22:18light. I think we can all relate to
- 22:21her. Yeah.
- 22:21And if we talk about this darkness, what do we see today?
- 22:24Oppression, rights being taken away, homes being demolished.
- 22:29All this happened to say the Padma Alayhi Salaam Yani father
- 22:32me here on a personal level, for me, for me, it's it's yes,
- 22:38there's an emotional attachment. There's that connection that we
- 22:41feel upset and we mourn for the tragedy that befell her.
- 22:44But there is something that allows us to understand what's
- 22:48right, what's wrong, What does Allah want from us?
- 22:51What does also allow one from us?
- 22:52What's that? What of Saratha musaqim as you
- 22:54referenced early on, right. And this happened, but it's very
- 22:57important. Yeah.
- 22:59I mean, when we look at the EHL bait, and this is the sad
- 23:01reality is that whoever, let's say, oppressed them or whoever
- 23:09angered them or whoever sadly killed them, all of them.
- 23:13The EHL bait, Alim Salaam, was done by those who claimed they
- 23:17were Muslim. And it it, it paints a picture
- 23:22of the sad reality of how the Islamic kumba is right that
- 23:27people who believe in the kelema or claim to believe in the
- 23:30kelema and represent the kelema and claim to be the ones
- 23:33representing Allah on this earth will do such atrocities,
- 23:37atrocities on the very family of Rasul Allah.
- 23:41So when I say hacken bottle light and darkness, right and
- 23:45wrong, everything can be found at Fatamir.
- 23:47I don't want to speak too much. And the reason why I don't want
- 23:50to speak too much because I think there's a time and place
- 23:52for every convolve, Ahmed And I'm aware and and I know we have
- 23:57an audience star, not just Shia Muslim who listen to us, of
- 24:00course. And I and I and I think it's
- 24:02important to I won't say restrain myself, but I would say
- 24:05be careful and mindful of how I speak.
- 24:08Right. Yeah.
- 24:09So I don't want to say everything.
- 24:11We have other conversations where we speak about, for
- 24:12example, you can go TuneIn to other episodes where we speak
- 24:15about as Fatima sectarian, you know, things like this.
- 24:19But that's not the convo I want to have today.
- 24:21I don't know who Fatima the. Sahara look for this BB Fatima
- 24:28Salamahi alayhah Fatimata Zahra is the litmus test between right
- 24:35and wrong and huck and bark is truth and falsehood.
- 24:39She is the the decider between what is right and what is wrong.
- 24:45OK, when Rasulullah says umuah Abiha, she's the mother of her
- 24:50father. A lot of the time we downplay it
- 24:53and we say, yeah, she tended to his wounds, she dressed his
- 24:56wounds after battle. It's much more than that because
- 24:59he's trying to say something much deeper.
- 25:01He's saying that she is the pillar of their family.
- 25:04Allah says in the Holy Quran Sutil bayina Dalekadenal,
- 25:10Dalekadenal Ayyama and that ayyama which he mentions in the
- 25:14Holy Quran is a feminine, a feminine term with the Tamar
- 25:20bhuta at the end of the word, which implies that it's an
- 25:23entity of a feminine nature, IE it's a noun.
- 25:26A person who's a feminine of a female in Islam, who's the
- 25:30highest ranking female, say the Fatima Zahra.
- 25:32And when we talk about that ke muma, what is ke muma?
- 25:36It is the oversight, the overseer maybe.
- 25:39Fatima is the overseer of the Halo Beta name of Salaam.
- 25:42She is the Imam of the Imams. Imam Barker said that the Aya
- 25:45itself is specifically referring to say the Fatima.
- 25:48Beyond that, look at Haditha Kisa.
- 25:50When Allah says he doesn't say this is in Ahlu Kisa, you know
- 25:58it doesn't say it's it's Allah and his daughter and his welly
- 26:04and his grandchildren. He says it's Fatima and her
- 26:07father and her husband and her children.
- 26:09And for that reason we know that Bibi Fatima is the difference
- 26:12between right and wrong. If anyone ever asks you what do
- 26:15you believe in as a Shia, all you have to say is we follow
- 26:19the, the words of say the Fatima.
- 26:21We follow the opinion of say the Fatima.
- 26:23We look to her. You don't trust our scholars or
- 26:26the ones oh, that's fine. We look to her.
- 26:29We follow the, the, the lineage of Asul Allah.
- 26:32We follow the blood of Asul Allah.
- 26:34We follow the daughter of Khadija and Muhammad.
- 26:37And this in itself is enough of a proof of or of an evidence or
- 26:42is enough of a backing for us to say that our, our belief system
- 26:46is valid and legitimate in its cause.
- 26:48When say the Fatima comes out and she talks about the rights
- 26:50and she talks about the, the, the, the, the Makam as the Ahlu
- 26:55Beta Salam. That is something which we look
- 26:58to as guidance because in many ways BB Fatima was more than the
- 27:02oppressed mother or the oppressed daughter.
- 27:05Say the Fatima was an academic, she was a speaker, she was a,
- 27:09she was a teacher. She was someone who mobilized
- 27:12the population around her. She would support a Miramat
- 27:15Manin and she would advise the Miramat Manin as well.
- 27:18She would remind her children of of their responsibilities and
- 27:21their duties and how to act when in accordance to the Sunnah when
- 27:25they grow up. Like, there's many things which
- 27:27we take for granted here. There is so much and, and This
- 27:30is why I said a bit earlier on, I don't want to focus too much
- 27:32on focus on her life. And I mean, there's so much life
- 27:35lessons you can learn from her. That was, you know, there's,
- 27:37there's, there's even trying to understand gender roles at home.
- 27:40For example, one day Lady Palmazar Ali Salaam, she'll go
- 27:42to our father and she'll go with Emir al mam Ali Ali Salaam and
- 27:46she'll tell him, you know what? Raswell, Allah, you know,
- 27:48Avatar, you're just let us know. Like, what should we do?
- 27:52Like, you know, what should we do at home?
- 27:54What should we do outside? Like, what's the advice you'd
- 27:56give to us? You know, they were newly
- 27:57newlywed, right? And he tells you know what,
- 27:59Fatima? Whoever is inside this door in
- 28:02the home, you look after it. It's on you.
- 28:05It's on you. Yeah.
- 28:05Andy, do the best you can. Right.
- 28:07And he looks at him and he says anything outside of this door,
- 28:10it's your responsibility. Yeah.
- 28:11Andy, it's it's there's more than.
- 28:14Just say that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:17That's proper guidance. There is so much we can learn
- 28:20from their life. And and not just not just solely
- 28:24how she lived or how she died, but rather, you know, how she
- 28:28became Fatima. Like Fatima Salam allahi alayhi.
- 28:31Look, she has so many names, right?
- 28:33That's the altar and Mohad Dafa. But Fatima, Where did Fatima
- 28:39come from? Where did that name come from?
- 28:41Many asked like who came up with this name?
- 28:43Like what? What is Fatima, right.
- 28:45And we say it with on the sip of our tongue.
- 28:47But Fatima is a great name. It's a special name.
- 28:50Why? That was a name given by whom?
- 28:53Allah Azza wajal, right? So there is a narration.
- 28:57It's there is a narration. Imam al Bhaktar Alihass Salaam,
- 29:03as well as Imam al Jawat, as well as Imam Assad of Alayhi
- 29:07Salaam. So I know these three for a
- 29:09fact. I've mentioned this, that the
- 29:12name was made in heaven. It was sent to the Angel, to
- 29:16Muhammad to name her Fatima. OK, so that's one.
- 29:21And then they were asked, you know, what does Fatima mean?
- 29:26Right? And here's Imam al Barker.
- 29:30He responds and he says the name Fatima means is Fatima and her
- 29:36Shia are protected from the Hellfire.
- 29:39Yeah. And there's other narrations and
- 29:41different variations, but they all, they all come back to the
- 29:44same thing. And another thing that relates
- 29:47to her name is that when she died, now I'm going back to a
- 29:54martyrdom. When she died, she wrote a will,
- 29:57right? And she wrote a will to Emir and
- 29:59not Manin where she started off by saying a shadow Allah Allah
- 30:05and Allahu ahdullah Sharikalah washed and Muhammad and
- 30:08Abdulhuwarasulu. You know I testify that there is
- 30:11no no God but Allah and that Muhammad sallallahu alaihi was
- 30:16saying that Mrs. Servant and Messenger washed and al Jenna to
- 30:21Haq 1 Anara Haq 1 Nassar to Haq. So I bear witness that Paradise
- 30:29is true, Hellfire is true, the hour of Judgement Day is true,
- 30:36you know, the day when we're raised from our graves is true.
- 30:39And she goes on and on and on. Then she mentions something
- 30:42right? And she says I am Fatimah, the
- 30:48daughter of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi Hawaii wasallam.
- 30:51And she tells Imam Ali what? Then she goes, I am Fatimah.
- 30:55There's a there's an emphasis to this, the daughter of Muhammad
- 30:58sallallahu Alai Hawaii Wasallam. There's no one worthy in this
- 31:03world as a match for me other than you to Imam Ali and not
- 31:08just in this life, but the Archer.
- 31:11So she goes on and on and on. Let me let me talk about the
- 31:14world a bit more actually. And she even goes on to say, for
- 31:17example, how to bury her. So she's telling, you know, do
- 31:23do the you do the Rosen, she tells Emir Al Malminian.
- 31:26But there was something which I think is very important and
- 31:30yeah, maybe men, but I think more for the sisters where she
- 31:33references hijab in her will Ahmed.
- 31:36And she says when I die, I want to be in hijab.
- 31:41What does that mean? That is when you die, you're
- 31:45you're Kevin. Like what is hijab?
- 31:47She would say in her will and she will direct a smart, which
- 31:52is, believe it or not, the wife of Abu Baker Siddiq, first
- 31:57caliph. She tells a smart you look after
- 32:01microphone. Make sure that my shape is not
- 32:07visible in microphone. Like to that extent, like she'd
- 32:11worry about her hijab after her death.
- 32:15What does that say about father? There's more, there's more.
- 32:18There's so much Allah. There is so much from her life
- 32:20we can learn. Like first we spoke about what
- 32:23what's our gender roles, you know, naming your children, I
- 32:28think something we can learn as well.
- 32:30And what does Hassan mean? What does Hussein mean?
- 32:32What all these names people left people now naming their
- 32:35children, what letters and numbers and symbols?
- 32:38And we have Muslim trends naming their people.
- 32:41So no, when we say who is Fatima, bro?
- 32:43Fatima is. Is Fatima, Yeah yeah, yeah bro
- 32:48who is Fatima? What is Fatima?
- 32:49That's the question. And I Hadid we see a lot of the
- 32:55time the, the, the the reference escapes me in Behar al Allah,
- 33:02I'm not mistaken, but it says in, in in the Behar that there
- 33:08was a time where Allah was alone, you know, and Allah was
- 33:12in his essence. And obviously we don't want to,
- 33:14we don't want to emphasize on the time element because there's
- 33:17beyond space and time. And then Allah created the light
- 33:20of Muhammad Ali and Fatima and then he remained with them for
- 33:241000 lifetimes. And obviously, you know, in the
- 33:27Arabic language, the what's the greatest number is elf.
- 33:29You don't have, you know, million and all these things
- 33:32that came later, you know, through English.
- 33:35But it specifies it said that a last panel were to Anna remained
- 33:40with them for 1000 lifetimes. These three essences, these
- 33:44three personalities, and he gave them the the.
- 33:50Do you mean the authority? Yeah, the authority, yeah, he
- 33:53gave them the authority over what is right and wrong and
- 33:56halal and Haram and all of these things.
- 33:58Obviously, when we talk about halal and Haram, we're not
- 34:01talking about the tertiary element like the filk element,
- 34:04you know, drinking and this and that, rather what is right and
- 34:07wrong in terms of creation. OK, specifically speaking, when
- 34:11we talk about the K muma and the oversight, which of course you
- 34:14should guys go back and watch the drama tonight's episode on
- 34:17this. But there is a really specific
- 34:20point here that she has oversight over creation through
- 34:24the permission of our last panel to Allah in the guidelines of
- 34:26our last panel to Allah. This is so important because
- 34:30Torrid is fully in its full form here.
- 34:32Like there's no question of, of, of, of Torrid being compromised
- 34:36or whatever. This is so important for us
- 34:38because Wilaya taqwiniya is such a core belief system in the
- 34:44majority of, of Shia thought. And that for those who subscribe
- 34:49to that thought process and that ideology believe that's a the
- 34:52Fatima and in middle Mott Manin and of course for Sallam
- 34:55Muhammad, each had some authority over certain
- 35:00responsibilities that Allah permitted them.
- 35:02This is who farther ways we're talking about the one who the
- 35:06Imams themselves would look to and say that's my Imam, the Imam
- 35:09of the Imams like this is a serious Makam, serious Mitaba
- 35:12that she had. And then, of course, in today's
- 35:15day and age, when we see, like you said, rightly so, when we
- 35:19see the well-being like rampaged and pillaged, we see mothers who
- 35:22are suffering and mothers who are losing their unborn
- 35:24children. And we're seeing mothers who are
- 35:27witnessing abuse to their husbands and their front of
- 35:29their eyes and abuse to their fathers and so on and so forth.
- 35:33This is where we look to say the Fatima Zahra, you know, if we
- 35:36are, if we are men, we are husbands or fathers or sons.
- 35:39And we see our wives, mothers, sisters being harassed or
- 35:42abused, our daughters being harassed or abused.
- 35:45Remember the patience of Bhu Fatima.
- 35:47Remember how she stood tall, She stood tall.
- 35:50She stood as an example to everyone around her.
- 35:53She silenced those, those atrocious and filthy men, you
- 35:57know. And there she made them lower
- 36:00their gaze. And ultimately, you know, this
- 36:03is something which we're really missing in the world when we
- 36:05talk about Muslim women in leadership, the ultimate
- 36:09example, forget Muslim women, Muslims in leadership, say the
- 36:13Fatima is the example for all Muslims, men or women.
- 36:16And I hate the narrative that a lot of people have that when we
- 36:19talk about women and women's times and women's stuff, we talk
- 36:23about, say, the Fatima's life. When we talk about men, we talk
- 36:25about men. We talk about the Holy Prophet,
- 36:28forget all of that. That's nonsense and rubbish
- 36:30because we don't subscribe to the men following this
- 36:33personality and women follow say the Zainab, say Fatima and say
- 36:36the Maria and then say the Khalija.
- 36:37We forget all of that. We don't believe in any of that,
- 36:39that that all makes no sense. OK.
- 36:42Because the lessons to be learnt here are unanimous and you know
- 36:45that they they are homogeneous. Their beliefs and the, the
- 36:49values of the other debate never had any contradiction to one
- 36:52another. I'm waffling a lot, but my point
- 36:54ultimately is that there's so much to learn here in terms of
- 36:56understanding who she is in her core, in her essence, not just
- 37:00in her 18 years, give or take of life, but outside of that, who
- 37:04she was before her birth and who she remains after her birth.
- 37:08Do you see what I mean? Because what there's without the
- 37:111st, we talk about all of these atrocities and violations that
- 37:16took place in early Islamic history.
- 37:18Fatima has got to be up there, man, and it's got to be
- 37:20something which we never forget. Yeah, no, and we will never
- 37:24forget. We will never forget.
- 37:26If we forget, I, I, I don't think there's, there's anything
- 37:30left in Islam because as you, as we alluded to earlier in the
- 37:33conversation, it's like Hacken Barton, right and wrong, you
- 37:37know, So there is, I think it gives us a form of barometer to
- 37:42understand. You know 100.
- 37:43Percent where we, where we should be heading, You know,
- 37:45where's our compass pointing? Where's that?
- 37:47No point, right? Someone believes something and
- 37:49Bibi Fatima disagrees with them Council's argument.
- 37:54Yeah. Do you know what I mean?
- 37:55If someone is saying I don't agree with XY and Z, you know,
- 37:59but this is an opinion held by the daughter of Rasul Allah.
- 38:02Well, you've got you've got no right to speak anymore.
- 38:04See, look, early on I said I don't want to get into this, but
- 38:06now you're making me get into. This.
- 38:07No, no, that's not. But let me get into it a bit.
- 38:10Go on. Right.
- 38:11Yeah, I need if if all with what you've said, all we with what we
- 38:16know from Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi when he wasallam that you
- 38:20know, what hurts, that hurts him, what angers are angers God,
- 38:24all of this. When we speak about hack and
- 38:28battle and when we speak about right and wrong and when we
- 38:31speak about oppression on volume and when we look at the life of
- 38:37Fatima towards the end of her life, rather things become
- 38:43apparent and clear. And I think it's important.
- 38:47And I would say this, right, Many people, I think find it
- 38:51hard to accept that's the founders of sabafa would do such
- 38:58a thing, right? Well, I think if you have an
- 39:01open mind and you tell Allah as they were just panel at Allah,
- 39:06you know, you point me to the truth, you know, let me know
- 39:09what happened or let me know which path to take, right,
- 39:13which, which school to follow, right?
- 39:16Things like this, right? When it comes to how are they
- 39:19there, our beliefs, how we see history, what you know, what
- 39:24references we should go towards, God will open up your heart.
- 39:28Because I know there's many people out there who say they
- 39:30love Fatima, but they don't know what happened to her.
- 39:33Look into it many. My my point is bro, take it easy
- 39:37breathing you know the. Just chillax.
- 39:40Forget the polemic. Just relax.
- 39:42Just read, research. Forget your mind.
- 39:44Forget. This is what the shit I say.
- 39:45Let me let me see what history says right and things like this
- 39:48and if I think if we're smart. Enough and don't take sides.
- 39:51Don't try and find. Don't take sides.
- 39:53This is my point, but you ultimately you will come to a
- 39:55conclusion where you see OK, something happened.
- 39:59OK, there was even if you don't want to say something happened
- 40:02to they default money salon, you cannot.
- 40:07Disregard the facts that there was an attempt for example, to
- 40:12attack the House of Fatima or there wasn't an intention of
- 40:16aggression towards Lady Fatima, towards burning door of Fatima,
- 40:20things like this. This is all there and there's no
- 40:23forgetting. She died angry with certain men
- 40:27and these men need looking into. And if I I don't know how, how
- 40:33how clear I can be right? But no, no, you mean, I know you
- 40:36mean. And for those who know, they
- 40:37know. And those who don't know, they
- 40:38can research and learn because the answers are there.
- 40:41So I. The answers are there, but The
- 40:43thing is the answer can be there, Ahmed.
- 40:45And but because you don't want to believe it, you say now how
- 40:48can these men do that? You know the argument of I don't
- 40:52believe it. Why?
- 40:53How much times have you had this OK, or this this new one, right?
- 40:59This is a new one now. It's a new trend I've come
- 41:01across. Why do certain people say it's
- 41:04impossible this thing happened? Not the Shia, of course they say
- 41:07what Fatima Zahra didn't say this happened to her.
- 41:12So if we open up history, do we see Lady Fatima say for example,
- 41:15they burnt my door, for example, or they broke my ribs?
- 41:18Do we do we see references like that?
- 41:20But if we look at the AL Beit in general.
- 41:23So just to this argument, let's go to Karbala, right?
- 41:29Do we see, for example, Imam and Hussain telling the enemy or his
- 41:34family or look what they done to my family or look what they done
- 41:37to Ali Azhar? No, they ask, you know Lady
- 41:43Zainab, look what happened to you?
- 41:44Does she say what happened? No, she says mare to Allah
- 41:47Jamila. Like they have never referenced
- 41:50such a thing happened to me. Why?
- 41:52There's nothing to them. There's Office Sabil.
- 41:54Allah right so. Like even.
- 41:56Was effective. When Fatima Zahra Ali Assalam
- 41:58that we believe she was attacked for her, she was protecting the
- 42:03Imam of that time, which was right.
- 42:07So what she is she going to come out and say, OK, they they took
- 42:11my right. No, she's not.
- 42:13This is my point. We try to find things because we
- 42:17find it hard to believe and that's the reality of life.
- 42:20What we don't want to accept something.
- 42:22We'll come up with excuses even though it's there.
- 42:25Let's look at, let's will, let's look at.
- 42:28We know right and wrong. We see the world split in half.
- 42:31We know what's oppression. We know what's occupation.
- 42:34You know what, like sorry to sorry to talk to you, but on
- 42:37that point, it's like, you know, you think like, you know,
- 42:40there's elements in the Holy Quran which talk so much about
- 42:43the punishment of of the disbelievers and the punishment
- 42:46of the oppressors. Like sometimes you think like,
- 42:48how would a Lord so merciful be able to do that to someone his
- 42:52own creation? But then you see like the world
- 42:55right now on the way that Palestine is being attacked and
- 42:57destroyed and you know the the sheer destruction that you see
- 43:01in Palestine and of course Lebanon, you think, well,
- 43:04actually I believe that because. It makes it more real.
- 43:06Those people who instigate and support and participate and
- 43:10endorse that kind of behaviour, they deserve to be in the pits
- 43:13of help. They deserve to be in the bottom
- 43:15of house, you know, no oxygen in that Hellfire.
- 43:18And and because of that, it makes you believe that all the
- 43:21presses in history have ever done anything, any act of
- 43:24violation to anyone should be in the same position.
- 43:28Anyone who's harmed another human soul, anyone who's who's
- 43:31denied the rights of a mother to see her child or, you know,
- 43:34taking the life of innocent children or anyone who's just
- 43:37done, you know, like there's a lot of people like me who find
- 43:40certain things like bullying very upsetting.
- 43:43When you see bullying that I remember when I used to teach in
- 43:45Sunday school, I used to get so annoyed when I used to see kids
- 43:47bully other kids. And I'd really take it
- 43:49personally. And I think a lot of us when we
- 43:51become parents, especially in the early stage, we go through
- 43:54that experience as well. When you see any, any sort of
- 43:57violence or aggression, you know, towards someone, it really
- 44:00makes your blood boil. Now imagine that that is on a
- 44:03higher degree with those who are doing this act to the daughter
- 44:07of Rasulullah and in other in other settings maintain a
- 44:12dignified persona or dignified character and they will they
- 44:16will claim to be those of piety and those people with with
- 44:18dignity and in other settings, perhaps not.
- 44:22But that opposition, let's call it opposition at the minimum and
- 44:25at the at the most, the opposition to the House of of
- 44:30Ali and Fatima Salam Alayiha is in itself is an abomination.
- 44:34You know that. That should be where it is.
- 44:36That should be what it's accepted.
- 44:37As and it's a sad reality of our history and if I can just go
- 44:41back to, I know interject it there, but I want to go back to
- 44:44the wall of Fatima because it continues.
- 44:46You know, if you actually read the wall of Fatima, it's there
- 44:48for everyone to go on the Internet and Co read the wall of
- 44:51Fatima Salam that was written for Amir al Mummini.
- 44:54She mentions on there, Bury Me, You know, in The Secret of the
- 45:00Night. Why would she have to do that?
- 45:02And she goes on further. Don't invite a certain man to my
- 45:07funeral, to my burial. You know, she doesn't want them
- 45:10there. She, she, she actually states I
- 45:12don't want the people who oppressed me present at my
- 45:17janaza. If if we look at history, who,
- 45:21who angered her, It's easy to connect.
- 45:24The dots right connecting. Dots.
- 45:25Yeah, yeah, and it's all about connecting dots.
- 45:27And Sage, should we move on? We can move on, but there is one
- 45:34narration I want to mention by Rasul Allah.
- 45:37And look, when Rasul Allah speaks, he's not lying.
- 45:42When Rasul Allah speaks and he doesn't speak from himself, he
- 45:46speaks with divine wisdom and with divine well of Allah upon
- 45:50of Attallah right And he says this and listen to this and we
- 45:52can find this in Bihar. When the last messenger one was
- 45:57on his deathbed, he cried until tears overtook his beard.
- 46:03He was asked what makes you cry, O Messenger of Allah?
- 46:08The Prophet answered, I am crying for my progeny for the
- 46:13crimes that will be committed against them by the evil doers
- 46:18of my nation after my death. My nation being my ummah, It is
- 46:24as if I can see my daughter Fatima being oppressed and
- 46:29crying about her or father, but no one will come to help her
- 46:33among my ummah. Father Zahra began weeping when
- 46:38she heard this, so the Prophet said to her, do not cry my
- 46:41daughter, She said I am not crying because of that which
- 46:45will be done to me after you rather I am crying because I
- 46:48will be separated from you or Rasul Allah he he sallallahu
- 46:54Hawaii W Salaam replied rejoiced or daughter of Muhammad at this
- 46:58close accession to me for you will be the first to follow me
- 47:01from among my Helen mates. We see there's like a convo
- 47:06right between his daughter and the prophet himself, for he
- 47:11references oppression towards his progeny, which is the Helen
- 47:15Bates, which we're supposed to hold on to and never let go.
- 47:18So we'll never deviate from the path of Salat al Mustafaim.
- 47:21And he references he can see an attack on his daughter and he
- 47:26tells her, you know, you'll be the first to join me.
- 47:28And something I think as a final point, I think surrounding her
- 47:32martyrdom was that before she left this world, how did she
- 47:37know she was she was approaching the near end of her life, Rasul
- 47:43Allah. Her father came to her in the
- 47:44dream, right? And this reassured.
- 47:46And I think I think that helped ease her difficulties.
- 47:50I think that alleviated some of the pain and some of the, you
- 47:54know, afflictions that befell her and the tragic events that
- 47:58surrounded her martyrdom. I need Rasul Allah coming to you
- 48:05in the dream, saying, you know, rejoice, you're joining me.
- 48:11I don't care if they break my ribs.
- 48:13I don't care if they bump my door.
- 48:15I don't care, you know, if if, if they allow me to miscarry my
- 48:21baby. I don't care if you know, we
- 48:25even have narrations where they say this.
- 48:27They struck the face of Fatima. So I don't want to go into
- 48:30there, but for Fatima Zara, I genuinely believe she became an
- 48:35armour and a shield for Amir al Mumminin because ultimately they
- 48:38came to a house for what? To get the beta of Amir al
- 48:42Mumminin, Alayhi Salaam. And we can maybe can have a
- 48:45serious convoy, maybe in the upcoming Fatimid episodes,
- 48:47because there will be a third, a third narration.
- 48:50And perhaps I think we can have scholar join us, Charla, because
- 48:55I don't want to say something wrong and it's a sensitive topic
- 48:57for lots of people. No, it is.
- 48:58It is. And it's important I've careful.
- 49:01Ultimately said, look, we, we like, we, we, we, we have to say
- 49:05like, you know, the, this, the event, the occasion which we
- 49:10commemorate 3 * a year, quite literally.
- 49:14And we, we remember across the year is, is so intertwined in
- 49:18our history and our understanding of history.
- 49:21And we're talking about one of the most pivotal figures in
- 49:26Islam. So we have to, it's like an
- 49:28obligation and responsibility on us to research it.
- 49:30And then obviously beyond that, as an extension of that,
- 49:33understand who she is and what she gave to Islam or what she
- 49:36did for Islam and what she did for her family and all in the
- 49:40service to our last part of Allah, Massive, massive
- 49:44inspiration to us. And we are honoured to be
- 49:47Inshallah amongst those for accepted as those who are her
- 49:50Shia, you know, and she is our Imam, She is our mother and we
- 49:53look to her for guidance and to Wasol and Wasila and ultimately
- 49:59the, the, the inspiration and the the shared guidance that we
- 50:04need to carry on our life. I'm saying we we proudly name
- 50:07our daughters after her and we proudly carry her name and her
- 50:11legacy on. That's something that will last
- 50:13forever. We should and I think every
- 50:14parent out there should consider and look, we have narrations
- 50:17that we have a hadith that if a family has, you know, a child
- 50:21and they name them, for example, if it's a boy Muhammad or if
- 50:25it's a female Fatima Alayhi Salaam, one of the their names,
- 50:30for example, Ahmed Mustafa. Like these things are related to
- 50:33Rasulullah, for example, and Sadiqa and Pahar and things like
- 50:36this is all related funds that are in Salaam.
- 50:38If you name your children those names that will poverty will not
- 50:42enter that home. And there is more.
- 50:44There's so much generations that comes from, you know, learning
- 50:47from, from, from the names and importance of naming.
- 50:49My daughter's. Name and naming our children and
- 50:54and look, it goes without saying like these names are something
- 50:58that if if we name our children after these names, this will be
- 51:02a constant reminder of who the Heller base are because these.
- 51:06Are people they won't. Die people will look up to Ahmed
- 51:08Gani. Well, when we go to measure
- 51:09this, right, and we cry and we mourn and but we have to learn
- 51:14from their life as well. It's not.
- 51:15Yes, the Martim is there, right? Yes, the Mossam are there.
- 51:18The tears are there and everything.
- 51:19And of course, the tears are there and it's impossible.
- 51:21Yeah. I need not to cry for the ribs
- 51:24that broke. Ali has Salaam al Fatima Zahra.
- 51:26But then The thing is the the volume and the oppression of the
- 51:30debate didn't end there. Rather it started there and it
- 51:34went on and on and it went led to Karbala and so other things.
- 51:37And we're here, we're here. We're talking about the ribs of
- 51:39Sahara. What about the ribs of Abdullah
- 51:41and the plains of Karbala? And we talk about the fire on
- 51:43the door. What about the tents in Karbala?
- 51:45Like these are all things I think we all have to reflect and
- 51:49relate to. And you know, whilst I mentioned
- 51:51this, I'll make this my final point.
- 51:52I promise you. This is my final point.
- 51:53Right back to the will apartment Sahara, something we missed out,
- 51:58but we remember on Ashura as what?
- 52:00The will that Lady Fatima gave to her daughter Zeynep with Ali.
- 52:05Ali has Salaam to fulfill. She had.
- 52:08She had the wish. Yeah, I know what you say, God.
- 52:11The shirt of Abad, the law, right, or the shirt of fatwa, we
- 52:14call it on the day of judgement. You know, we have this hadith
- 52:18and this is a mad hadith Ahmadiya we have and we have
- 52:22many narrations actually not one.
- 52:24I think that's about 9:00 I've come across honestly, I've come
- 52:26across about 9. Ahmed yeah, where it references
- 52:29that on the day of judgements there will be a call that says
- 52:33lower your heads for passing is who Fatima with Rasulullah
- 52:39sallallahu alaihi wasallam and was was in her hands the bloody
- 52:44shirt of about Abdullah Hussein. So I ended there.
- 52:48I don't want to, you know. Know it's very simple to
- 52:52tragedy. But Karbala is Karbala, and my
- 52:56opinion is Karbala Assad. What's that mean for?
- 52:58Yeah, yeah, did indeed. That's that's undoubted
- 53:01unquestionable. Yeah.
- 53:04What can we say? I don't have to say now, but I
- 53:07look ultimately like when we see oppression around us today, we
- 53:11have to say something. We have to do something.
- 53:13We have to be active and we have to continue the fight.
- 53:17We're still on the battlefield ultimately and we we have to
- 53:20continue that fight. We have a place in this world.
- 53:24We will have a duty in this world inshallah.
- 53:26Mohammad is coming. Inshallah you're not even then,
- 53:28but even from now like we have to, we have the work starts now.
- 53:31And you know, I had a conversation with, with someone
- 53:34today, someone respected and I respect and, and he asked me
- 53:40about the role that we see ourselves in terms of a podcast
- 53:44and what we want to do and achieve and what are places on
- 53:47that battlefield. And I mentioned that I think
- 53:50it's important to, to use what small platform we have and small
- 53:55resources and experience we have to teach rather than maybe not
- 54:00teach, but to share the message of the atheist beta, name some
- 54:03and the Holy Quran to as many people as we can.
- 54:06And to ultimately try and find hack ourselves and, and share it
- 54:10with people around us. Because there's such a dire need
- 54:15for it. The world is it's in special
- 54:17terms of media is all over the place and there's disinformation
- 54:20everywhere. And what is Shiism and Islam
- 54:24more more generally is becoming widely distorted and, you know,
- 54:28convoluted. And because of that, we need
- 54:31more rational voices and more relevant voices in our field.
- 54:38And I like, I encourage as many people at home to, to try and
- 54:42find their niche and like we're trying to find ours as well and
- 54:47to support because look, we, yeah, we do pods and every week
- 54:50we're talking about this, next week we're talking about that.
- 54:52But the broader message of what we're trying to do is develop
- 54:55our identity, improve ourselves, elevate our knowledge and our
- 54:59skill levels to the point where the Imam sees us as a valuable
- 55:03asset to him. You know, we are, and I
- 55:05mentioned this to you a lot, but we are such a minority in the
- 55:08imams community, you know, 1% of his global Shia population who
- 55:13live in the West, for example. And we speak the language of the
- 55:17West and we're educated by the West and we understand the
- 55:20psychology of the West and the behavioural aspects of the West.
- 55:23And that is a massive advantage to him.
- 55:26And, and we want to be worthy of being those who believe in his
- 55:29message and the message of his, his forefathers and but who
- 55:35practice in the West. So like that's our place.
- 55:39That has to be our place. And I finally, like after 29
- 55:42years of life, I think I've finally come to this point where
- 55:46I'm like, our place is is here like a lot put us here for a
- 55:49reason. And our our reason is to have my
- 55:52jealous after me in London in 2024.
- 55:54You know, I mean, like this is we're here for like a lot like
- 55:58our purpose is to be here, right.
- 56:00A lot, a lot knew that. You know, we're going to be
- 56:03souls who will be crying for for Bibi Fata mind.
- 56:06We're going to live 1000 years after her death, her her blessed
- 56:09death and her let her departure from this world.
- 56:11But we will be in a faraway land, speaking a faraway
- 56:14language and we will be talking about a tragedy to a group of
- 56:17people from all parts of the world.
- 56:19That is just mind blowing. Yeah.
- 56:21And mind blowing. And the fact that we can
- 56:23digitalise that conversation and share it with the world is even
- 56:26more beautiful. Now you smashed it beautifully
- 56:28said. Bro, it's madness, man.
- 56:30It's absolutely madness. Beautiful reminder as well.
- 56:32Yeah, Bros, reminder to all of us, man.
- 56:34Anyway, guys, we'll call it a day because I'm knackered.
- 56:37It's like 1:00 AM. It's actually 1:00 AM we're.
- 56:39Shattered. Shattered.
- 56:41Knackered about another opportunity for commemoration.
- 56:44Anything from? Fatima is Zahra.
- 56:45Yeah, man. We say Rabbi be Fatima Abiha
- 56:50about Alihawa Beniha was suddenly mistowed that Afiha
- 56:54ajil faraja Mehdiha, may Allah hasten the reappearance of the
- 56:58Imam of our time. Imam Sahabin Asari was Zaman the
- 57:02night in the combo here Salaam alaikum allahi.
- 57:08Salaam.
