Transcript
- 0:08Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear. When you're a guest to my home, you
- 0:21Speaker 1: gotta come to me empty. And I said, no, guests,
- 0:27Speaker 1: you're own presences, presents enough. I already had too much stuff,
- 0:35Speaker 1: So how do you dare.
- 0:36Speaker 2: To surbey me?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Welcome to I said, no gifts. I'm pretture Winneker. We're here,
- 0:55Speaker 3: you're here. I'm glad you're listening to the podcast rather
- 0:59Speaker 3: than doing something stupid like reading or talking to a
- 1:03Speaker 3: loved one or I don't know, improving your life. This
- 1:07Speaker 3: is where you need to be. You know what I
- 1:09Speaker 3: thought as I came into the studio this morning is
- 1:11Speaker 3: it's been a long time since I've had a life check.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Throughout public school, you're getting lice checks and then suddenly
- 1:18Speaker 3: they're gone.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I might have lice.
- 1:21Speaker 3: So that's something that our guests will have to just
- 1:23Speaker 3: deal with. I mean, my life is rich and full.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Everyone knows my life is rich and full. Don't ask anything.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I'm wearing a cute top, and I expect you to
- 1:32Speaker 3: be doing the same. If you can't see it, you're
- 1:34Speaker 3: obviously listening.
- 1:35Speaker 2: More. If you're watching it.
- 1:36Speaker 3: On YouTube, you get to enjoy my cute top for
- 1:39Speaker 3: as long as you want. Is there anything else going on?
- 1:42Speaker 3: Let me look at my business. No, No, just more
- 1:46Speaker 3: right wing rhetoric. Our guest is out of control already.
- 1:54Speaker 3: He's been on the show before during the you know
- 1:58Speaker 3: when he you know, we'll get into that probably or
- 2:01Speaker 3: maybe not. Maybe I'll avoid the topic. I well, everyone
- 2:05Speaker 3: loves today's guests. I have a lot of problems with him.
- 2:07Speaker 3: It's yes or leicster.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yes, just top three things you hate about me right now? Well,
- 2:14Speaker 2: you're hideous okay, Yes, I think that's just a constant problem. Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Personality and you don't loan me money.
- 2:23Speaker 4: That okay, that is legitimate. But the other two I
- 2:26Speaker 4: can't do anything about. I should be giving you.
- 2:28Speaker 2: You should be giving on a weekly basis. Stipend.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah, so stipend to have a stipend.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Have like I I think about once a week. I'm like,
- 2:38Speaker 4: what if you just had like a bene factor or.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Even a controlling spouse.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Truly, if I like, the spouse can do whatever they
- 2:46Speaker 3: want if I get the stipend.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Are you? Oh my god? The idea of like I
- 2:50Speaker 2: was on Instagram and I saw this woman who, by
- 2:55Speaker 2: the way, I really I do.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Outside of the right wing rhetoric, there's the white right
- 3:02Speaker 4: wing rhetoric kind of saying right right wing rhetoric, but
- 3:08Speaker 4: it also always, you know, that's if that's the tree,
- 3:11Speaker 4: the branches are always kind of like weird fringe conspiracy.
- 3:14Speaker 4: And so what got into my algorithm was this woman
- 3:17Speaker 4: sitting at like a beautiful infinity pool and she's like
- 3:22Speaker 4: the caption is something like everyone remembers me as like
- 3:26Speaker 4: the Connecticut hedge fund wife until one day I woke
- 3:29Speaker 4: up and realized I was seeing demons and vampires and
- 3:32Speaker 4: that was the actual essence of everyone's soul that I
- 3:36Speaker 4: had been friends with. But like I was like, okay, ay,
- 3:40Speaker 4: like why.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Are you messing your money up? One? Right, just keep
- 3:45Speaker 2: the money. But two it's like, but you're still living
- 3:47Speaker 2: the life I think unless that was an old video
- 3:50Speaker 2: that you put the caption on. But it was interesting
- 3:53Speaker 2: in the sense that I was like, oh, like everyone
- 3:56Speaker 2: so messed up that you, even like rich just used
- 3:59Speaker 2: to be its own person anality. But now we need
- 4:02Speaker 2: a secondary.
- 4:02Speaker 5: It's not enough.
- 4:04Speaker 3: You now need to become broken brain exactly possessed it is. Yes, yes,
- 4:09Speaker 3: so this but her new her new take is I
- 4:12Speaker 3: see demons.
- 4:13Speaker 2: She's a very rich claar of I was like, yeah,
- 4:19Speaker 2: but that's why I think it's well they usually but
- 4:23Speaker 2: they start poor and then then becomes the money. But
- 4:28Speaker 2: I was like, wow, you started with money and then
- 4:31Speaker 2: was like, I also.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Need this new opportunity to scam.
- 4:35Speaker 2: People's that she's that board, rich that board at this point,
- 4:40Speaker 2: she's a clear for the love of the game, You don't.
- 4:43Speaker 2: You don't see a lot of those.
- 4:45Speaker 3: That's somebody who's really just for the purity. Yes, exactly, Wow,
- 4:50Speaker 3: I should get in touch. Yeah, I hit a quick
- 4:53Speaker 3: save on that Instagram so.
- 4:55Speaker 2: More than now, your algorithm is gonna.
- 4:58Speaker 5: Be feeding you.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Absolutely absolutely it's that. And it's a lot of like
- 5:03Speaker 4: homemade Russian horror clips. I know, it's great, sounds good
- 5:07Speaker 4: to me actually, just like people in Russia who make
- 5:10Speaker 4: like these, like literally like thirty second short horror.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Films, Like I don't know, it's really it's interesting because
- 5:16Speaker 2: you're like the Internet is so terrible, but then you're like,
- 5:18Speaker 2: I never would have seen this, and like I clearly
- 5:21Speaker 2: am a huge Russian horror short version.
- 5:25Speaker 3: No one knows you like the internet knows you, right, exactly,
- 5:29Speaker 3: like what are they putting in these horror videos.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It's it's a lot of it so weird.
- 5:33Speaker 4: It's like a young woman like going through a house
- 5:36Speaker 4: and it's dark and it's empty, and they also all
- 5:39Speaker 4: of them do this.
- 5:40Speaker 2: They put on a VHS like cam quarter film. Oh sure,
- 5:43Speaker 2: she looks found footage. Yeah, and it's like them like.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Oh yeah, absolutely, it's very it's very it's very like, uh,
- 5:52Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of the It's like when you
- 5:54Speaker 4: go to a barber shop and everything is leather.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It's like the same where you're on something exactly exactly.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I'm not buying that, yes exactly.
- 6:05Speaker 4: It's just very my first barship, my first horror film.
- 6:12Speaker 4: But it's like them looking through a house and then
- 6:14Speaker 4: like they always end with them seeing an evil version
- 6:18Speaker 4: of themselves like across the room, like making a crazy face,
- 6:21Speaker 4: like and then they go and it.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Ends I'm gonna get into this, I'm gonna start making
- 6:26Speaker 2: you know what. I saved a few and I'm glad.
- 6:30Speaker 3: They're probably making so much money.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I mean, well here's the thing.
- 6:33Speaker 4: And it's like, look far be it for me to
- 6:35Speaker 4: know anything about like what what's the money they spend
- 6:38Speaker 4: in Russia.
- 6:39Speaker 2: The rouble is.
- 6:41Speaker 4: That the role now you're setting like a real rupee India, yes, okay,
- 6:47Speaker 4: and maybe other countries.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Okay, I was and also Zelda, what's it? Zelda's what?
- 6:52Speaker 3: And Zelda you collect rupees literal?
- 6:56Speaker 2: I thought you're naming a currency that is so funny,
- 7:03Speaker 2: drowning of course many ok arenas to purchase. I uh uh.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Here's what I'll say though, is currency wise, Like I
- 7:14Speaker 4: just feel like, you know, you throw up a few
- 7:16Speaker 4: horror videos.
- 7:17Speaker 2: On Instagram, like I could buy you a house in Russia.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I'm sure you know.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I yeah, I wonder how what the exchange rate is
- 7:24Speaker 3: between I mean, I can't imagine the dollars soaring.
- 7:28Speaker 2: No, but Russia.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I'm always unclear as to what's going on. And my
- 7:34Speaker 3: I get the things I get from Russia or Eastern
- 7:36Speaker 3: Europe are usually people who have a hundred raccoons.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Oh, I get a few of those. I don't get
- 7:41Speaker 2: the but I'm I am also part of raccoon Instagram.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I feel like I think I've talked about this on
- 7:48Speaker 3: this podcast before, but I feel like the majority of
- 7:51Speaker 3: multiple raccoon owners when they have you know, they're all
- 7:54Speaker 3: over the kitchen floor is Eastern Europe, Russia, and I
- 7:56Speaker 3: don't understand why. I wonder if there's just like not
- 8:00Speaker 3: a law. I'm just trying to figure out why is
- 8:05Speaker 3: it such a such a buzzy thing over there?
- 8:09Speaker 2: And then it's like the Deep South here or something.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Right, But is it like, are are like raccoons, They're
- 8:16Speaker 4: like parakeets?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Oh interesting?
- 8:18Speaker 4: I mean like it's just like this isn't a dog.
- 8:21Speaker 4: It's smarter, right, you know what I mean? But like,
- 8:24Speaker 4: because I also just you know, the American the American
- 8:27Speaker 4: attitude towards raccoons.
- 8:29Speaker 2: It's complicated. It's complicated.
- 8:32Speaker 4: So you know, some are our friends, some have made
- 8:35Speaker 4: themselves out to be our enemies, and it's you never
- 8:38Speaker 4: know which when you're getting I feel like maybe the
- 8:39Speaker 4: Eastern European raccoons are like we're here just a peaceful
- 8:43Speaker 4: yeah yeah, exactly, yeah, yeah, give me a few cheetos,
- 8:47Speaker 4: give you a handful.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Of rabbit food and like.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Or what oh yeah, yeah, some pickled cabbage?
- 8:55Speaker 2: Is that is that? Now?
- 8:56Speaker 3: This is the rest of the podcast will be us
- 8:58Speaker 3: trying to guess currencies and things that people.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Even Eastern Europe.
- 9:02Speaker 2: We just saw it like two weeks all the time,
- 9:04Speaker 2: trust me that I believe.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Speaking of wildlife, I last night was eating dinner and
- 9:13Speaker 3: atwater Village and I saw several mice at an outdoor situation.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Nightmare.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, this is a new thing in LA.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Yes, okay, But here's my question. So were these mice
- 9:23Speaker 4: of the world or mice of the restaurant?
- 9:25Speaker 3: That's a good question. I think mice of the world.
- 9:29Speaker 3: I think they were coming from the street for the food,
- 9:32Speaker 3: so that's right, I guess better. Yes, yes, but also
- 9:35Speaker 3: you think the mice from the restaurant, or at least
- 9:38Speaker 3: full They're not coming from me, right, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 9:40Speaker 3: These ones are a nightmare situation. But I don't know
- 9:44Speaker 3: what's I don't know what's happening. It's the exploding mice population.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I've.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Exploding mice populations. Such a good string of arts. I've
- 9:57Speaker 3: lived here for now, I don't know, fifteen years or something,
- 9:59Speaker 3: and it's in the last two years it's just suddenly everywhere.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Well weirdly enough.
- 10:03Speaker 4: So I know this only from living I live in
- 10:06Speaker 4: me and my wife lived in Upstate New York for
- 10:08Speaker 4: a little bit as well. And with climate change, it's
- 10:13Speaker 4: always it's always climate. But mice apparently have not not
- 10:18Speaker 4: like super not super intolerant, but are pretty intolerant too
- 10:23Speaker 4: cold weather. So what would happen is that winter would strike,
- 10:27Speaker 4: especially in the Northeast, they would all die minus like five.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Maybe'd repopulate in the summer months, and the warmer months
- 10:33Speaker 4: same thing. Here, we'd have rain, it'd be a little
- 10:36Speaker 4: bit colder, but now it's never cold enough for all
- 10:39Speaker 4: of them.
- 10:39Speaker 2: To die, so they're just reproducing.
- 10:42Speaker 4: And it's it's intense because like, here's the thing, Like
- 10:45Speaker 4: I don't love mice. I go out of my way
- 10:47Speaker 4: not to harm them, but I'm not I'm not, like,
- 10:50Speaker 4: you know, I'm not hanging out with mice.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Rats.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Like you can teach a rat to do stuff that's
- 10:55Speaker 4: very small. You know, they wear they wear pants, that's
- 11:01Speaker 4: one thing.
- 11:01Speaker 2: If they do math, I would believe that. I bet
- 11:08Speaker 2: they can do basic math.
- 11:09Speaker 5: They can't.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I mean, they at least know mazes, which is right.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I know is not math.
- 11:13Speaker 4: But if someone asked me, is a maze math, I'd go, yeah,
- 11:16Speaker 4: it is kind of.
- 11:19Speaker 3: You would probably find both of those in like a
- 11:20Speaker 3: highlights magazine or something exactly. Rats can read highlights magazine.
- 11:25Speaker 2: That that is one thing we do know.
- 11:28Speaker 4: So you're seeing what you're seeing are a new school
- 11:31Speaker 4: of winter.
- 11:32Speaker 2: But I would add that speaks highly of the restaurant.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Oh that it's good food. Yeah yeah, and they've got
- 11:39Speaker 3: good tastes. Yeah yeah, right, they love Mediterranean food. They're
- 11:42Speaker 3: after hamas.
- 11:43Speaker 2: This kind of.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Thing, just like walking around like a piece of couscouse
- 11:48Speaker 4: uh a couse if.
- 11:50Speaker 2: You won't.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Did it?
- 11:53Speaker 2: Did it ruin?
- 11:57Speaker 3: Ruined a lot of things?
- 11:58Speaker 2: Okay, okay, no, totally fait. It ruined dinner.
- 12:00Speaker 3: It basically has ruined my week. It's ruined that restaurant. Yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 3: it's ruined my friendship with that friend that I was
- 12:07Speaker 3: having dinner with.
- 12:09Speaker 4: It's all over, Okay, that's you know, we had a
- 12:12Speaker 4: mouse at our place here in Los Angeles and I
- 12:17Speaker 4: caught it and I caught it in a plastic like shoe.
- 12:19Speaker 2: It was a it was a clear plastic shoebox, you know,
- 12:23Speaker 2: the one comes in a clear plastic Amazon. No, no, no,
- 12:26Speaker 2: I just bought it off Amazon. It's like those collapsable
- 12:28Speaker 2: ones that have the little stack whatever. But can't getting it.
- 12:33Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. You get it was important
- 12:37Speaker 2: with dummy, I know, a plastic shoeboxes.
- 12:41Speaker 4: I get this mouse and I'm talking to my wife Chelsea,
- 12:43Speaker 4: and I'm like, hey, it's in here, Like do we
- 12:47Speaker 4: just let it out in the backyard?
- 12:49Speaker 2: Do we like take it out to the street.
- 12:51Speaker 4: As we're having this conversation, the mouse jumps, knocks the
- 12:55Speaker 4: lid open of the shoe box, then jumps again like truly,
- 13:00Speaker 4: like nine like a whole nine inches, just clears this
- 13:02Speaker 4: box and then takes off into the into the backyard.
- 13:05Speaker 2: And I was like, well, I mean, first of all,
- 13:08Speaker 2: like I gotta respect that, Like I can't, you know
- 13:11Speaker 2: what I'm saying, Yeah, saw an opportunity, Yes, yes, exactly. Yeah.
- 13:16Speaker 2: To me, it's like when someone I genuinely believe this,
- 13:19Speaker 2: if you break out a prison legally should not be
- 13:21Speaker 2: allowed to go look for you absolutely, like you're hey,
- 13:24Speaker 2: it's very hard to do exactly. They've made it very
- 13:28Speaker 2: difficult at this point. Yes. And I also it's like
- 13:31Speaker 2: you lost as law enforced man, Yeah, like you know
- 13:34Speaker 2: what I'm saying, Like you've had your chance when you
- 13:37Speaker 2: went trials and like a sentencing like all of these things.
- 13:42Speaker 2: And then someone I don't know with like a file
- 13:45Speaker 2: and a birthday cake figured it out. I'm sorry, that's amazing. Yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 2: they didn't.
- 13:49Speaker 3: They put in the work, a lot of work, yes,
- 13:53Speaker 3: and they had to think it out.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Did you ever see Escape at Danamora? Oh?
- 13:57Speaker 2: No, I didn't.
- 13:58Speaker 3: That's the good until Yes, Britian Arquett, Yes, Patricia, Patricia
- 14:03Speaker 3: Arquette and Benicio del.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Toro, and I love Paul, I love a Benicio Paul
- 14:09Speaker 4: Dano and you you're one of two people in Hollywood
- 14:12Speaker 4: who hates it.
- 14:15Speaker 2: What do we like? Look? Far be it for us
- 14:17Speaker 2: to talk about Hollywood stuff, But here we are. This
- 14:19Speaker 2: is a holo cast.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Yeah, if you if you would have made me choose,
- 14:23Speaker 4: like even if you like, even if you narrowed it
- 14:27Speaker 4: down to two choices on each end and said like, okay,
- 14:31Speaker 4: here are two directors. One is Quentin Tarantino and the
- 14:33Speaker 4: other one is Steven Spielberg. And then on this side
- 14:35Speaker 4: we have actors. One is Paul Dano and one is
- 14:38Speaker 4: I don't know, well.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Benicio del Toro.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Which director is going to say something really terrible about
- 14:46Speaker 4: one of these actors? I there's no world where the
- 14:49Speaker 4: combination of Quentin Tarantino and Paul Dano would have made
- 14:52Speaker 4: it into my mind. It's like it's so objectively funny
- 14:58Speaker 4: because like it just doesn't make makes sense.
- 15:00Speaker 3: But that's the sort of thing where it's like it
- 15:02Speaker 3: feels like he's like reading you don't really picture Tarantina
- 15:06Speaker 3: watching current media like path. So it's like something must
- 15:11Speaker 3: have else, must have happened, had run in at a
- 15:13Speaker 3: restaurant or something, because why else that poll is so weird?
- 15:17Speaker 2: No, but that's what makes it so funny. It would
- 15:20Speaker 2: be like, like legitimately, if me and you were talking
- 15:23Speaker 2: and like suddenly you were like, I hate Rob Kardashi,
- 15:27Speaker 2: like no one is talking about that. Really it really
- 15:34Speaker 2: look it was terrible and it was mean and it
- 15:35Speaker 2: was cruel. Now that being said, I did laugh when
- 15:38Speaker 2: I first. I was just like, this is so crazy,
- 15:40Speaker 2: Like in a world where everything is already crazy, the
- 15:44Speaker 2: fact that something that crazy could still stick out, I
- 15:48Speaker 2: was like, wow.
- 15:49Speaker 4: That was you went for it so needlessly mean, Yes,
- 15:53Speaker 4: exactly exactly.
- 15:54Speaker 2: I didn't have to commise on this anyway, you know what.
- 15:57Speaker 4: I think maybe it felt like something someone would do
- 15:59Speaker 4: to me, And that's why it feels like I would
- 16:03Speaker 4: like someone that someone just be like you know who
- 16:05Speaker 4: I hate?
- 16:08Speaker 2: And I was like, wow, I I kind of love
- 16:11Speaker 2: that this is not aimed at me in a really
- 16:14Speaker 2: in a really terrible way. Like it just like it was,
- 16:18Speaker 2: you know, like bullying is I don't want to say
- 16:20Speaker 2: never funny. Sometimes it is funny, but when someone deserves it,
- 16:23Speaker 2: you're like yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 4: But that one in particular, I was just like, oh yeah,
- 16:29Speaker 4: I think it was like striking maybe. Like my giggling
- 16:31Speaker 4: was like, oh, I'm like so glad this wasn't me.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I hope.
- 16:36Speaker 3: During his next like press, Torris Spielberg is like, do
- 16:38Speaker 3: you know what I hated? Black Monday?
- 16:42Speaker 4: That would Okay, this reminds me of a story story. Okay,
- 16:46Speaker 4: so now granted this this person didn't really they didn't
- 16:51Speaker 4: know me, right, So I this is years ago.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I had to.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Host a tent sponsored by Toyota at a music festival.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Okay. So it was like, here's your next band, and
- 17:03Speaker 2: like you should also check out the new fully loaded Corolla,
- 17:06Speaker 2: of course, and you should buy the right Yeah exactly,
- 17:08Speaker 2: I mean sat Car. You know that a Toyota sand
- 17:11Speaker 2: I get out of it out. So I'm hosting this tent.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I do it for a weekend.
- 17:16Speaker 4: It ends up being one of the worst weekends of
- 17:19Speaker 4: my life.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Like I legitimate. It was in New Orleans. Okay, it
- 17:23Speaker 2: starts it was called the Voodoo Festival. It starts like storming.
- 17:28Speaker 4: They don't know if they're gonna be able to like
- 17:29Speaker 4: fly us out because you know, anytime it rains there
- 17:33Speaker 4: it's Catrina. I'm eating dinner. I was eating dinner by myself.
- 17:39Speaker 4: My it was so this is this had to It
- 17:42Speaker 4: was like ten years ago my uh now ex but
- 17:45Speaker 4: girlfriend at the time had literally broken up with me
- 17:48Speaker 4: as I was getting on the flight. So I get there,
- 17:51Speaker 4: I've been dumped. I was eating dinner alone. I'm doing
- 17:56Speaker 4: this sponsored tent. While I'm eating dinner, I got outside
- 17:59Speaker 4: of smoke a cigaret. Someone starts hitting me with water
- 18:01Speaker 4: balloons that are filled with black paste, and I was
- 18:04Speaker 4: just like, this is like, get me out of it.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I was just like everything about New ORNs is terrible.
- 18:09Speaker 4: I get why all these things can happen, and y'all like,
- 18:12Speaker 4: I'm so. I make it back to New York City
- 18:16Speaker 4: and I am in a pizza place called Fiories. It's
- 18:21Speaker 4: on like McDougall and Bleaker, and I'm telling my friends,
- 18:25Speaker 4: the stories of how badly this like experience was for me,
- 18:30Speaker 4: and how I was hosting this tent and like every
- 18:33Speaker 4: time I said something, people were like, get off the stage, right.
- 18:37Speaker 2: And there's a woman in front of us in line
- 18:38Speaker 2: at this pizza shop. She goes, are you talking about
- 18:41Speaker 2: Voodoo Fest?
- 18:42Speaker 4: And I'm like yeah, Actually she was like, oh my god,
- 18:45Speaker 4: I had a band there and it was just like
- 18:49Speaker 4: one of the worst experiences.
- 18:50Speaker 2: I was like, I know, and she goes and the
- 18:53Speaker 2: host was literally one of the unfunniest people I've ever seen.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Was like, what was your band's name?
- 19:01Speaker 4: And she tells me and I go I was that
- 19:05Speaker 4: host and she's like no, what Confidently, She's like no,
- 19:09Speaker 4: it wasn't you. And I was like, did they play
- 19:11Speaker 4: any other tents? And she's like no, And I was
- 19:14Speaker 4: like the Toyota tent right, She's like yes, and I'm like,
- 19:17Speaker 4: and he was wearing glasses. I was wearing contacts at
- 19:20Speaker 4: the time, and I'm like she and he was wearing
- 19:21Speaker 4: glasses and she's like, yes, I pull out my glasses.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I'm like these Warby Parker. My friends are crying, laughing,
- 19:27Speaker 2: they can't believe it. And this woman is like it
- 19:29Speaker 2: wasn't you. And I'm like, I can tell you every
- 19:32Speaker 2: single detail about this interaction and you're telling me that
- 19:36Speaker 2: like I'm making it up, and she's like, it wasn't you,
- 19:40Speaker 2: and she got mad at me because she was bullying me,
- 19:45Speaker 2: like I don't She's stuffling down on the fact that
- 19:48Speaker 2: it wasn't me, even though like like here's the thing. Respectfully,
- 19:51Speaker 2: you can think I'm the worst, but like you can't.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Be like and it wasn't you, but you know what
- 19:56Speaker 4: I'm saying, denying reality exactly.
- 19:58Speaker 2: You can be like, oh wow, I'm sorry that I'm caught.
- 20:02Speaker 2: You were the worst thing to happen. You said that,
- 20:06Speaker 2: and we know this is what you're doing exactly.
- 20:08Speaker 3: This is the saddest like Superman Clark Kent situation the bridge.
- 20:14Speaker 2: And the point is always wear your glass. It was like, legitimately,
- 20:19Speaker 2: so I think maybe that's where the Quinton Paul Banno thing,
- 20:23Speaker 2: but it felt like situation a pizza shop and someone's like, hey,
- 20:27Speaker 2: Quentin Herdto hates you, and it's like, I'm sorry.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Also good for you for just like continuing to try
- 20:32Speaker 3: to confirm this.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Because at this point I'm like, I you know, it's
- 20:36Speaker 2: a thing where like, you know, you like you don't
- 20:39Speaker 2: just trip, but you trip so hard that you're gonna
- 20:41Speaker 2: cry in front of a bunch of people, so you
- 20:43Speaker 2: have to get up and laugh and everyone's like, nah,
- 20:45Speaker 2: you want to cry, and you're like, nope, I want
- 20:46Speaker 2: to laugh. Your voice is cracking exactly. I actually love bleeding.
- 20:55Speaker 3: That would have that would have been the end of
- 20:56Speaker 3: my life.
- 20:57Speaker 4: Yeah, well here's you know, and I will say, then
- 21:01Speaker 4: having to buy a dollar fifty slice of pizza because
- 21:05Speaker 4: you have no other money, it's like really the really
- 21:07Speaker 4: the icing on the cake in a way that you're
- 21:09Speaker 4: just kind of like.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Huh, I.
- 21:11Speaker 4: I know that you're not supposed to give up on
- 21:14Speaker 4: a dream, but what if, Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 2: What if what do you end up with?
- 21:19Speaker 4: Someone's like, hey, I actually don't think you should keep
- 21:21Speaker 4: pursuing this.
- 21:22Speaker 2: That's what she was saying. Of course, yeah, yeah it was.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Do you remember the band? Well, here's the thing, so
- 21:28Speaker 2: if because it was it was a band slash like
- 21:32Speaker 2: there were technically DJs, Like I want to say, if
- 21:34Speaker 2: I remember correctly, it was yeah, yeah, Louie the Child.
- 21:40Speaker 4: If I remember correctly, and if I remember correctly, it was, uh,
- 21:44Speaker 4: it wasn't a singular person, and if it was, it's
- 21:47Speaker 4: just like he had you know, engineers or whatever, right, but.
- 21:50Speaker 2: It was it was, And like again, look, far be
- 21:54Speaker 2: it from.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Me to say that no one should have opinions about
- 21:58Speaker 4: anything ever, but when it comes to me, just.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Keep your mouth shut. When it comes to talking about me,
- 22:06Speaker 2: keep your damn mouth shut, and don't hurt my feelings.
- 22:09Speaker 2: No one hurt the feelings anymore.
- 22:12Speaker 4: That's oh, I ask, like, and I mean it like
- 22:14Speaker 4: the amount of times like I tell my why too constantly,
- 22:18Speaker 4: Like I'm like the amount of times that like I'm
- 22:20Speaker 4: just somewhere and like an insult makes it to me.
- 22:23Speaker 2: I'm like how like like I'll just be at like.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Target and I'll just like overhear someone be like, oh man,
- 22:30Speaker 4: like I'm glad that yaes, sir Lester didn't get the role,
- 22:33Speaker 4: And I'm like, what are you guys following? Like is
- 22:35Speaker 4: someone paying you to be around me? Like the dude, yes,
- 22:40Speaker 4: it truly, It's like really, it's really shocking how many times,
- 22:44Speaker 4: like especially like in twenty twenty five, I'll sell on
- 22:46Speaker 4: Chelse like like at New Year, you know, New Year's evils.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Just like if I could change one thing if I
- 22:51Speaker 4: could have a resolution. It's just that like all the insults.
- 22:54Speaker 2: People have, Like I'm like the guy that like when
- 22:58Speaker 2: you're texting someone else to be a like, wow, so
- 23:01Speaker 2: and so looked terrible today, you accidentally said to me. Yeah,
- 23:04Speaker 2: And I'm like, I mean we I didn't even know
- 23:07Speaker 2: you saw me today, but thank you. You know. Yeah, well,
- 23:10Speaker 2: I feel like New Year's resolution for you is be better.
- 23:13Speaker 2: But see there that It's just it's not gonna happen, baby.
- 23:19Speaker 4: And yeah, like I feel like the universe is chowsen
- 23:23Speaker 4: for me because it's like anytime, like look at you right,
- 23:27Speaker 4: you're you're swollen. I'm swallen patroll dog and like if
- 23:31Speaker 4: I tried, if I tried that, I would be like
- 23:34Speaker 4: I would shred every tendon in my body. Like there's
- 23:37Speaker 4: no lifting weights for me good shape. It's it's all
- 23:41Speaker 4: I do is walk the dogs. Three dogs, and I
- 23:45Speaker 4: just walk the dogs. And I only eat for four
- 23:47Speaker 4: hours a day.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Wait, is that a fasting thing?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:52Speaker 4: For you do it for four hours aga from four
- 23:54Speaker 4: Like every once in a while I get a little
- 23:56Speaker 4: loose and you're like two pm to eight pm, but
- 23:59Speaker 4: it's usually four pm to eight people, Oh.
- 24:00Speaker 3: My god, you wake up and then go essentially all
- 24:04Speaker 3: day without eating. Yeah, that seems impossible to it.
- 24:07Speaker 2: You know. I here's the thing, and I wish I
- 24:10Speaker 2: could be like, no, you actually stop thinking about it.
- 24:12Speaker 2: That's not true. It's hell. It's hell. But you really
- 24:15Speaker 2: are just kind of like, at least for me, like
- 24:19Speaker 2: I can't always be eating, and that's the problem is
- 24:22Speaker 2: that if you write me alone, I would always be eating.
- 24:25Speaker 2: And also, look, I don't want to be one of
- 24:27Speaker 2: these anti meds guys, but this is the podcast. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I was on Zoloft for like two years, and it
- 24:36Speaker 4: spiked my appetite in a way that I never thought imaginable.
- 24:40Speaker 4: So when I started switching and like coming off one
- 24:43Speaker 4: and going on another, I was like, I need to
- 24:46Speaker 4: be able to like regulate.
- 24:47Speaker 2: This a little bit better.
- 24:48Speaker 4: So I was like, what better way to regulate eating
- 24:51Speaker 4: by not doing it at all?
- 24:55Speaker 2: And between four and eight?
- 24:56Speaker 3: Are you going crazy?
- 24:58Speaker 2: You want to?
- 24:59Speaker 4: But like a, You're stomach is just so small, and
- 25:01Speaker 4: and like you can really only do so much eating
- 25:04Speaker 4: in four hours.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Like I'm not like, Okay, now I'm going to Mikey's diner.
- 25:08Speaker 2: To eat the four by four cheeseburger challenge or whatever.
- 25:12Speaker 2: It's like I have like a sandwich and I'm like,
- 25:14Speaker 2: all right.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Wow, yeah, you have any type of treat or anything.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Oh, come on, you know I have a treat.
- 25:21Speaker 4: But but what I've been thinking about as of late
- 25:24Speaker 4: is like, do I open the window to a permanent
- 25:26Speaker 4: six hours and then only do a treat like.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Every five days? Oh?
- 25:30Speaker 4: Interesting, you know, because I think that is one of
- 25:32Speaker 4: my problems that like, I'm not like I'm a sweet
- 25:36Speaker 4: tooth person. I'm like, if anything with sugar is around me,
- 25:40Speaker 4: I will I will have ten of it, Like I'm not.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't. Oh, I like, why has no one
- 25:46Speaker 2: ever called me that? I? Oh? Here he comes very cummingbird.
- 25:54Speaker 2: That hummingbird sure is ugly. I'm like, okay, wait, wait,
- 25:57Speaker 2: are you talking about me or we're talking about you?
- 26:00Speaker 2: For sure?
- 26:01Speaker 3: I didn't realize you had guys had three dogs.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Now, But so okay, So this is a little backstory.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Me and Bridge our dogs go to the same dog
- 26:12Speaker 4: walkers hiker big big Daddy, Yeah, big Daddy, Saul, And uh,
- 26:19Speaker 4: I saw you repost a Saul post about what is
- 26:24Speaker 4: I'm not gonna say your dog's name, but I show you.
- 26:27Speaker 5: I don't want to get kidnapped.
- 26:29Speaker 2: So I am very open with my dog's names. Both
- 26:33Speaker 2: Chelsea DeVante as my wife, and Chelsea Peretti are very
- 26:37Speaker 2: anti people knowing your dog's names. Sing and it's because
- 26:41Speaker 2: of kidnapping, and I was like, I and it's not.
- 26:48Speaker 2: And I love my dogs so much as like I
- 26:51Speaker 2: think if something somebody wants something out of me, like
- 26:54Speaker 2: they would just jump me or whatever, I don't think,
- 26:57Speaker 2: and then get the dog and then we're gonna you
- 26:59Speaker 2: know what he called the dogs, Yes, exactly exactly. First
- 27:02Speaker 2: want to find the trainer. Then we're gonna you know.
- 27:04Speaker 2: But then I'm like, I say all that, and then
- 27:06Speaker 2: someone clubbed Lady gagas like you know, so like, but
- 27:11Speaker 2: that's Lady Gaga, right, you know what I mean? Like,
- 27:13Speaker 2: you know you're getting X amount of money less you
- 27:15Speaker 2: know that there's a pool of me exactly.
- 27:17Speaker 4: No one's kidnapping my dogs a real gamble, yeah exactly,
- 27:20Speaker 4: Like I hope this guy's worked in the past eighteen
- 27:23Speaker 4: months because otherwise this.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Is I hope it's a decent pantry.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Like so, they're very anti dog names on podcasts. I
- 27:31Speaker 4: won't say it, but that's how I found out. And
- 27:34Speaker 4: I was like, oh, look at us brothers.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Brothers unbelievable, and like the way he's this guy's a matriician.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Yes, truly, he's so incredible.
- 27:44Speaker 3: He like lines them.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Up from y'all have one. Yes.
- 27:51Speaker 4: And so there's to the original question. You're saying that
- 27:53Speaker 4: we have three. Yes, we have three now. We got
- 27:55Speaker 4: one two days after the initial COVID shut down. Then
- 28:02Speaker 4: almost a year ago exactly, we got our second dog
- 28:06Speaker 4: because of the fires, and then this third dog we
- 28:08Speaker 4: were going to foster, but it bonded so hard with
- 28:12Speaker 4: our second dog that like this was crazy. Yeah, it
- 28:15Speaker 4: was just like, I'm never going to work again anyway,
- 28:17Speaker 4: I'll just be at home. I'll take care of the dogs.
- 28:18Speaker 4: It's fine, I'm a dog.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Well, there's something else we probably should talk about. Yeah,
- 28:25Speaker 3: I mean, I've been trying to avoid the topic.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Answer.
- 28:28Speaker 3: You were on the podcast years and years ago, and yes, yes,
- 28:33Speaker 3: the time you were wearing like a mic that made
- 28:34Speaker 3: you look like you're working in a call center over zoom,
- 28:39Speaker 3: it felt like I had called in to complain. Yeah, yes,
- 28:42Speaker 3: but at the time the podcast is called, I said no,
- 28:44Speaker 3: gifts another time it was early days. I can't blame
- 28:47Speaker 3: you for not realizing what was going wrong. We've been
- 28:50Speaker 3: around for six years now. I assume you know what
- 28:53Speaker 3: the deal is. Yes, yes, So it's a little surprise
- 28:56Speaker 3: when you showed up with what's clearly a gift and
- 28:59Speaker 3: I assume it's for me. Yes, okay, yes, do you
- 29:03Speaker 3: have anything to say or should I.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Just open an Okay? Now, now I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 29:07Speaker 2: be real with you.
- 29:08Speaker 4: It's I'm in a I'm in a utilitarian place in
- 29:13Speaker 4: my life. Okay, so even you know, even getting someone flowers, like,
- 29:18Speaker 4: I feel like, what is the purpose behind this?
- 29:21Speaker 2: With yes, love and emotion, but like, can it also
- 29:24Speaker 2: be used for decoration? You know what I mean?
- 29:27Speaker 5: Vegetables?
- 29:27Speaker 2: Right exactly? Yes? Well will this one day become a
- 29:30Speaker 2: nice popery? Right? You know?
- 29:33Speaker 4: So, while this is a gift, I know you, I
- 29:37Speaker 4: know your lifestyle, I know the things that you're going through,
- 29:41Speaker 4: and so this is this is what I find to
- 29:44Speaker 4: be maybe the most useful thing for any adult to
- 29:50Speaker 4: It's a gift, but any.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Adult to have, and it's a very suicide pick. It's
- 29:58Speaker 2: it's a collassable betel.
- 30:04Speaker 3: I like what you're saying, because I have collected a
- 30:07Speaker 3: lot of things are unusable, so we'll see about Yes, yes,
- 30:15Speaker 3: oh this is great.
- 30:17Speaker 4: It's not just a screwdriver, and this is important. This
- 30:20Speaker 4: is it's a ratcheting screwdriver. Oh I haven't heard of
- 30:23Speaker 4: a ratcheting So a ratching screwdriver is the one that
- 30:26Speaker 4: clicks and then you push, click and turn, click and turn.
- 30:29Speaker 4: And the reason that is important is because you can
- 30:33Speaker 4: apply more force with a ratching screwdriver than you could
- 30:37Speaker 4: with the regular I had no idea.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yes, when I see this sort of thing, I just think, oh,
- 30:41Speaker 3: it's just like a convenient.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Of course, yes, of course we have multiple bits and
- 30:47Speaker 4: like we have we got look we got a Phillips
- 30:48Speaker 4: head on there. We have two Phillips heads. I think
- 30:50Speaker 4: we have a few torques. We have two flatheads as well.
- 30:55Speaker 4: And as someone who has a house, it's just you're
- 30:58Speaker 4: constantly there's constantly something needs, there's.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Constantly something happening. And like I also think that like
- 31:05Speaker 2: I don't know if you're a power tools person, mildly, mildly,
- 31:09Speaker 2: this is something you keep in your kitchen drawer. You
- 31:12Speaker 2: always know where it is. Click click, clack clack. You
- 31:15Speaker 2: throw it right back in there. It's it's great for it.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Like I mean, I even use them to like quite literally,
- 31:20Speaker 4: like I'll just use the Phillips part of it, puncture
- 31:23Speaker 4: a tiny little hole in the drawwall, and I'll know
- 31:25Speaker 4: exactly where to hang a picture. Like I genuinely cannot
- 31:28Speaker 4: say enough.
- 31:30Speaker 2: About a ratcheting screwdriver.
- 31:31Speaker 4: So that is that's you can use it for your car,
- 31:35Speaker 4: like I mean, just anything anything.
- 31:36Speaker 2: They're the best.
- 31:38Speaker 3: I don't buy it. Screwdriver seems like a fad. People
- 31:42Speaker 3: aren't going to get into these things. But I do
- 31:45Speaker 3: want to back up and just say I don't feel
- 31:47Speaker 3: like you were impressed enough that I knew these were
- 31:49Speaker 3: called bits.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Oh no, I absolutely I feel like I should get
- 31:53Speaker 2: a little more. First of all, Utah correct, Utah. Okay.
- 31:59Speaker 4: So there's the reason maybe it didn't seem as impressed
- 32:02Speaker 4: is because, like there's just a certain level of osmosis
- 32:05Speaker 4: that happened. Right when you're from a place like a Utah.
- 32:09Speaker 2: You can't avoid exactly. Screwdriver has been right exactly.
- 32:13Speaker 4: If you were like and then these little ding dooms,
- 32:15Speaker 4: I'd be like, okay, Okay, that's impossible.
- 32:17Speaker 2: You're doing this for the You're doing this for the joke,
- 32:19Speaker 2: you know what I mean? But no, it's it's like look.
- 32:23Speaker 2: And also again, I.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Genuinely believe that once you reach a certain level of
- 32:28Speaker 4: muscular guys just start saying things to you, and so
- 32:32Speaker 4: you just have to learn them, you know what I mean.
- 32:34Speaker 4: And I think you're at that point where guys are
- 32:36Speaker 4: just like talking to you about things, and even if
- 32:38Speaker 4: you didn't want to know, you have to be like, yeah, no.
- 32:40Speaker 3: For sure, a bit, oh yeah, that's it. I'm at
- 32:42Speaker 3: home depot every day just kind of picking up the
- 32:44Speaker 3: vocabulary and.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Wirepers Cool.
- 32:51Speaker 3: You've become like a very like, uh, let's be honest,
- 32:54Speaker 3: a Tim Allen type. You think you own a truck.
- 32:58Speaker 3: You're giving away screwdrivers?
- 32:59Speaker 2: Is gift?
- 33:00Speaker 3: Yeah, you're puncturing holes in the dry wall.
- 33:03Speaker 4: No, you know what it is. And I genuinely it's
- 33:06Speaker 4: a twofold thing.
- 33:08Speaker 2: One.
- 33:08Speaker 4: I'm from Georgia and that is the mostest at all.
- 33:11Speaker 4: So there's actually three things.
- 33:12Speaker 2: There's that. There's very much the like, I'm I'm not
- 33:16Speaker 2: ashamed of my age. I'm okay, he's seventeen years old,
- 33:22Speaker 2: and I like to kiss.
- 33:26Speaker 4: But I'm forty one, and like I, I did not.
- 33:31Speaker 4: I didn't expect as much of childhood influence to make
- 33:35Speaker 4: it back into my adulthood in terms of just being like, oh,
- 33:40Speaker 4: per the truck and all these things. I think that, like,
- 33:42Speaker 4: especially when you're in your early twenties, you want to reject.
- 33:46Speaker 2: All that stuff and be like no, no, no, no, no,
- 33:49Speaker 2: I don't like trucks.
- 33:49Speaker 4: What I do like is the criteria collection and tense
- 33:53Speaker 4: at the Voodoo festival exactly.
- 33:57Speaker 2: And then one day you're like, oh, but.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Like I you know again, it's like I started to
- 34:01Speaker 4: see the usefulness of all this stuff and it lost
- 34:05Speaker 4: the meaning of just being like redneck kids at my
- 34:08Speaker 4: school having this stuff and then being like, oh, okay,
- 34:11Speaker 4: I actually need a truck because of X, Y and Z.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Mostly my mom needs things hold on Facebook marketplace, like
- 34:20Speaker 4: the amount of like like me and Chelsea move so
- 34:22Speaker 4: much stuff, and then the other sixty five percent of
- 34:26Speaker 4: the time it's just my mom being like, there's a
- 34:28Speaker 4: shelf in Santa Clarita that you need to go get
- 34:32Speaker 4: by eight am, and of course, thank you so much.
- 34:36Speaker 2: And the last thing was uh covid r, I just.
- 34:40Speaker 4: I got really freaked out about I was like, I
- 34:43Speaker 4: just don't want to be caught in a situation where
- 34:44Speaker 4: I don't know anything, and like I knew enough, but
- 34:47Speaker 4: I was like it really you know to actually the
- 34:51Speaker 4: last time we were talking on the podcast, it was
- 34:53Speaker 4: like the last time we spoke six years ago.
- 34:57Speaker 2: But I was just like I just wanted to make
- 34:59Speaker 2: sure that like a like I was man like, I'm
- 35:02Speaker 2: not gonna lie like I was a bleach on the groceries.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Like I mean, there was a period literally everyone wants
- 35:08Speaker 3: so and then that like if you were in a
- 35:10Speaker 3: couple that you saw a little bit of split and
- 35:12Speaker 3: then yeah.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Exactly, so like I was like I don't want people
- 35:16Speaker 4: in the house and like so I was just like
- 35:18Speaker 4: on the internet being like how do I do this?
- 35:19Speaker 2: How do I do that? And so like.
- 35:21Speaker 4: Uh And also lastly, in all seriousness, I love Tim Allan.
- 35:28Speaker 2: That I just more than anything. His face it gets better. Yeah. Yeah,
- 35:34Speaker 2: I'm just like one of these guys. I'm like, whoa
- 35:36Speaker 2: the brad Pitt, Tim Allen.
- 35:40Speaker 3: That's your What is Tim Allen doing?
- 35:44Speaker 2: Man? I it's it's and I know you're asking us
- 35:46Speaker 2: some joke, but it is. It is interesting in the
- 35:50Speaker 2: sense that like you're like, how did he become the
- 35:55Speaker 2: guy that like not even us.
- 35:57Speaker 4: It's not like low world is like Tim Alan like
- 36:01Speaker 4: like here's the thing guy Fieri. Everyone is like that
- 36:04Speaker 4: is the diner guy.
- 36:08Speaker 2: His entire life is like a halopeno pancake, you know
- 36:13Speaker 2: what I mean. Like, but Tim Allen is just like you.
- 36:16Speaker 2: You were honest like for a little bit, like hope
- 36:19Speaker 2: improvement was huge. I'm not right, but it's like you
- 36:21Speaker 2: then got to just like fully adopt the personality. It's
- 36:25Speaker 2: so weird love like being like man, yeah exactly exactly,
- 36:29Speaker 2: like permanently. Yeah.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Like it's not like he's not like Mike, was it,
- 36:34Speaker 4: Mike Low Is that the guy from like Dirty Jobs,
- 36:36Speaker 4: Mike Row Mike.
- 36:38Speaker 2: You know who like literally going and be like, hey,
- 36:40Speaker 2: I changed a sewer to watch you do it right? Right,
- 36:45Speaker 2: Like I don't know, So so I say to say
- 36:47Speaker 2: that I'm literally literally stronger than Tim Allen spiritually, mentally, physically.
- 36:52Speaker 3: I believe you make a really good point because he
- 36:55Speaker 3: wasn't like known as like the tool man guy until
- 36:58Speaker 3: that show, right, and then he was an actor portraying
- 37:00Speaker 3: that and now that's just who he is, and he's like, it's.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Like if you and like, here's the thing you always
- 37:07Speaker 2: look You always come with a cute top. We know that.
- 37:10Speaker 4: But it's like if just from this episode, you addressing
- 37:14Speaker 4: the fact that you're wearing a cute top and then.
- 37:17Speaker 2: All of a sudden, you're cute top Bridger like feel like, well,
- 37:21Speaker 2: you know he has other stuff, you know, I would
- 37:24Speaker 2: be like the opposite of Bert Christ. Oh my god,
- 37:27Speaker 2: whoa no top?
- 37:28Speaker 4: Cute top that like, I don't know what's better? Do
- 37:32Speaker 4: you do you play with in you before Bert? Or
- 37:35Speaker 4: do you come in after Bert.
- 37:37Speaker 2: And remind people exactly? And now we're getting dressed. People
- 37:43Speaker 2: are so happy my shirt is not because you're you're
- 37:47Speaker 2: the guy that should have it all.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Oh, but people are begging for it. People are begging
- 37:51Speaker 3: for it.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Get this guy on.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Stage without a shirt?
- 37:54Speaker 2: What'd you do it?
- 37:55Speaker 3: Would I take my shirt off on stage?
- 37:57Speaker 2: Like okay, what is how about this?
- 37:59Speaker 4: What is the amount of money that you're like uncomfortable
- 38:02Speaker 4: doing fifty dates no shirt?
- 38:04Speaker 3: You're asking the wrong guy because still to me, like
- 38:06Speaker 3: forty dollars is a lot of money.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Okay, I mean if it's forty dollars, then yeah, but
- 38:10Speaker 2: I mean what forty times fifty show fifty nights? Yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 2: what is twenty grand? Yeah that's not worth it. Come on,
- 38:19Speaker 2: come on with travel. I don't know the business the
- 38:22Speaker 2: way it is. That's true. Ask me in a few weeks.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I might need that to brand and suddenly I'm
- 38:28Speaker 3: all over the country driving I need it. What are
- 38:34Speaker 3: you working on around the house? Are you constantly doing projects?
- 38:36Speaker 2: Yes? You know.
- 38:37Speaker 4: And it's also like this is like maybe I don't know,
- 38:40Speaker 4: maybe it's kind of I want to say cheap scape,
- 38:43Speaker 4: but again it's also necessity because you know, we rent
- 38:47Speaker 4: where we live.
- 38:49Speaker 2: It's like we I really try.
- 38:51Speaker 4: To avoid hitting up the landlord slash owner of the
- 38:55Speaker 4: house as much as possible. So I'm like, if I
- 38:57Speaker 4: can just do this, I'll just do this always on
- 39:00Speaker 4: landlord's sides.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Well, that's my huge thing. It's it's literally why I
- 39:04Speaker 2: flew to New York to vote against body. I was like,
- 39:09Speaker 2: it's gotta be Guomo or the Curtis. What was it?
- 39:14Speaker 3: I can't remember.
- 39:15Speaker 2: I always want to say see one, but that's just
- 39:18Speaker 2: a character. Yeah.
- 39:20Speaker 4: But also it's like like, look, the reality is that
- 39:23Speaker 4: we do have three dogs, and so like you don't
- 39:26Speaker 4: want someone to just pop it up right when you're
- 39:30Speaker 4: renting you know you're right exactly exactly, and like you
- 39:34Speaker 4: know they've been cool and all that stuff.
- 39:36Speaker 2: So I say all that to say that it's also
- 39:40Speaker 2: like a good like like I'm.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Not gonna tear down a wall and fix the plumbing, sure,
- 39:45Speaker 4: but anything that I mostly can do, like if I
- 39:50Speaker 4: knew plumbing, and then I would have done it. But
- 39:52Speaker 4: like almost anything that happens I I take care of.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Well, it's like it's a nightmare when there is something
- 39:58Speaker 3: that feels so small and you're like, oh, if only
- 40:00Speaker 3: I had paid slight attention to how to do this,
- 40:03Speaker 3: yeah yeah, and then you're now.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Paying somebody to do it well. Perfect example or dishwasher.
- 40:09Speaker 4: I fixed it twice. Oh my god, it was a nightmare.
- 40:12Speaker 4: It was installed, so and this is one of the
- 40:14Speaker 4: times I called the landlord. It was installed, and then
- 40:18Speaker 4: they put in a new floor and the problem is
- 40:21Speaker 4: that now the tile was too high to get the
- 40:24Speaker 4: so I had to cut out the tie to get it,
- 40:26Speaker 4: cut out tool, cut out the tile, all the stuff,
- 40:28Speaker 4: I pull it out. I completely fix it, filters, all
- 40:31Speaker 4: this stuff, and then something happened where the tubing from
- 40:36Speaker 4: the sink to the actual dishwasher gets messed up.
- 40:39Speaker 2: You first of all, you love this story. Second of all,
- 40:43Speaker 2: it gets longer, I'm going to steal the story longer
- 40:46Speaker 2: and it gets more boring.
- 40:48Speaker 3: I'm taking this on the road, wash chan.
- 40:59Speaker 2: The short version is I didn't I couldn't see where
- 41:03Speaker 2: the tube connected. Oh and so I actually did have
- 41:06Speaker 2: to call someone and I literally showed up within thirty seconds.
- 41:10Speaker 2: It's like it's cleaned. That'll be two hundred and fifty dollars,
- 41:14Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, of course, of course, of course.
- 41:16Speaker 2: It is exactly that amount of money that would have
- 41:18Speaker 2: changed my life, and I've been able to save it. Yeah,
- 41:21Speaker 2: I mean, and that guy feels so powerful. I'm suah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 41:25Speaker 2: oh for sure. It's like mechanics where you're just like, hey,
- 41:28Speaker 2: like you just have the tools for this, Like almost
- 41:32Speaker 2: anyone can change oil if you go, unscrew this, screw
- 41:37Speaker 2: it back, change the filter. Poor oil. But there was
- 41:40Speaker 2: just like, oh, look at this idiot, Look at this
- 41:43Speaker 2: idiot who can't stop crying.
- 41:46Speaker 3: This is my problem with surgeons, you know, But you've
- 41:49Speaker 3: got the tools, big deal.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Do you Okay, do you think I'm not I'm not
- 41:55Speaker 4: saying that you could be a surgeon, but thank you.
- 41:58Speaker 4: I actually appreciate that you I think I like, no, no, no,
- 42:01Speaker 4: I mean right now, like, I don't think you just
- 42:03Speaker 4: hop into surgery. But do you think there's emotionally a
- 42:06Speaker 4: part of you that could have handled being a surgeon?
- 42:08Speaker 2: Yes?
- 42:09Speaker 3: Absolutely? Really emotionally yes, I think I could have been.
- 42:12Speaker 3: But whoa be like the grossness element? I don't thinkled
- 42:17Speaker 3: just like I would have been gagging.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Correct?
- 42:19Speaker 3: Do you want to hear your searche and gagging? O?
- 42:22Speaker 2: I was gonna say, well, if you hear them, then
- 42:24Speaker 2: that's the worst part. Verston. It was like, oh my god,
- 42:26Speaker 2: I'm awake. What I got? So again? Very late in life?
- 42:36Speaker 2: I just got my wisdom teeth pulled like three or
- 42:39Speaker 2: four months ago. What were you just say?
- 42:40Speaker 3: No, this is so interesting to me because you might
- 42:42Speaker 3: have to get his out and I had mine out
- 42:43Speaker 3: when I was eighteen and late in life, and let's
- 42:46Speaker 3: be honest, you're very late in life.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, yes, this might be the last. This
- 42:50Speaker 2: might be the last part.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Don't say things like that on this podcast especially, You've
- 42:56Speaker 3: got many podcasts Okay, cool, I I hit mine out
- 43:00Speaker 3: eighteen and you're halfing years out now as an adult.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. I might as well have had open
- 43:07Speaker 2: heart surgery. That's how hard my body reacted to the
- 43:13Speaker 2: recovery of it. Like I mean, I was like waking
- 43:16Speaker 2: up in the middle and I like sweating. Like Chelsea's like,
- 43:20Speaker 2: what is going on? Like my wisdom teeth? I'm sorry? What?
- 43:23Speaker 4: Like again, she got hers out when she was eighteen,
- 43:25Speaker 4: and like I, I kept going to the dentist and
- 43:29Speaker 4: I kept being like, yours are like they're in mostly normal,
- 43:33Speaker 4: like something may change, but like you don't need to
- 43:35Speaker 4: do it. If you don't need to do it, that's fine.
- 43:37Speaker 4: But then they started like you know, turning and whatever.
- 43:40Speaker 4: So so I get the surgery, the hard hitting surgery
- 43:46Speaker 4: of wisdom teeth. The dentist when she's taking out this
- 43:51Speaker 4: bottom sorry, this bottom left one, she's like, hey, uh,
- 43:55Speaker 4: if anything becomes you'll always feel pressure.
- 43:59Speaker 2: If anything becomes painful, you have to let me know.
- 44:01Speaker 2: So they did not put.
- 44:03Speaker 4: You onto Yeah, no, of course not. I think they
- 44:05Speaker 4: looked at my insurance so like he's gonna be awake.
- 44:07Speaker 4: So the first two they get out in the problem.
- 44:10Speaker 2: They get to this.
- 44:11Speaker 4: One, this this bottom left one, and I'm like, ah,
- 44:13Speaker 4: like I can feel it.
- 44:14Speaker 2: I can feel it. Something's wrong. And she goes, I
- 44:17Speaker 2: think you're confusing pressure with pain, and I went, I'm not, like,
- 44:20Speaker 2: I know you just took two out. You know, there
- 44:23Speaker 2: are two people here and having the experience exactly.
- 44:27Speaker 4: So she literally goes, ugh, rolls her eyes like re
- 44:31Speaker 4: numbs me or whatever.
- 44:33Speaker 2: I get it out. A week later, Bridge, I'm in
- 44:37Speaker 2: so much pain, like I'm just like having a sip
- 44:39Speaker 2: of water and just like merely like cusping my lips.
- 44:43Speaker 4: To the glass is like too much. So I just
- 44:45Speaker 4: like hit her up and I'm like, hey, can I
- 44:47Speaker 4: just come in and talk to you? And so uh
- 44:50Speaker 4: I go back in and I swear to God, I'm like, hey,
- 44:53Speaker 4: how are you. When she walks in, she goes, I
- 44:55Speaker 4: told you this would happen.
- 44:57Speaker 2: I was like, what is going on? Like she I
- 45:00Speaker 2: was like, I don't know how I made you mad?
- 45:02Speaker 3: Like sincerely, she got kicked out of her band exactly.
- 45:08Speaker 2: It was that's full I'm shusy now, but I'm also
- 45:13Speaker 2: just now on the other side of it. And she
- 45:15Speaker 2: called me like she you know, the office called me
- 45:17Speaker 2: and they're like, uh so when you want to come
- 45:19Speaker 2: in for your phone up? And I was like, never, never,
- 45:22Speaker 2: I will. I would rather start with someone who just
- 45:25Speaker 2: is like in school, right, you know what I mean?
- 45:27Speaker 2: So wow, So I say all that to say that
- 45:32Speaker 2: I'm with you emotionally. I think I could do it.
- 45:34Speaker 2: And I even think I could handle the queasiness. I
- 45:39Speaker 2: don't know if I don't think I can handle I mean,
- 45:42Speaker 2: I guess that's part of the emotion of it. I
- 45:43Speaker 2: don't know if I can handle the fan like if
- 45:44Speaker 2: there's like families around like.
- 45:46Speaker 4: That really freaks me out because then it's like, you know,
- 45:50Speaker 4: it's us, so where you have to be like Patch Adams.
- 45:53Speaker 2: And so there's leg gone was Patch Adam's based on
- 46:02Speaker 2: a real thing? I believe he was.
- 46:04Speaker 4: And I'd also argue there's no way he was as
- 46:06Speaker 4: funny as Robin Williams.
- 46:08Speaker 2: So they really lucked out, right.
- 46:09Speaker 3: This guy was probably an annoying loser, right.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Because I mean, here's the thing. If your doctor dressed
- 46:14Speaker 2: as a clown, get a life.
- 46:15Speaker 3: First of all, Hey, but I don't want anything to.
- 46:18Speaker 5: Do with it.
- 46:19Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, no, figure out this hepatitis like,
- 46:22Speaker 4: I don't why are you why are.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Your lips red? Yeah, there's nothing about that.
- 46:28Speaker 3: I want anything. I do not want a professional in
- 46:30Speaker 3: my life being funny, right, especially.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Trying dude, I look man.
- 46:35Speaker 4: And it's also why like I genuinely I don't think
- 46:39Speaker 4: you can tell anyone what you actually do. You have
- 46:43Speaker 4: to say you were like when people ask me, I'm like,
- 46:46Speaker 4: I work in production.
- 46:47Speaker 3: I'm in marketing. Yes, oh see there you and not
- 46:51Speaker 3: for fun thing right?
- 46:51Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, it's for Pfizer and not the commercial.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Right.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Just have to keep fighting the pamphlets, the pamplets that
- 46:59Speaker 2: you see the doctor, they're very depressed. Stop asking me questions.
- 47:04Speaker 3: No, the moment you tell somebody there, you'll be pitch
- 47:08Speaker 3: television shows. Yes, they'll be joking. They'll be asking you
- 47:12Speaker 3: to tell.
- 47:13Speaker 5: Them a joke.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Just hell, pure hell.
- 47:17Speaker 3: I When I first moved to LA I moved in
- 47:19Speaker 3: with a couple in their baby.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Oh, Hollywood, Hollywood swinging, and it's fine. I moved to
- 47:26Speaker 2: the big city.
- 47:27Speaker 4: It was with a couple of their baby.
- 47:30Speaker 3: But the first thing they asked me was to tell
- 47:31Speaker 3: them a joke, and I knew it was downhill from there.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Oh wait, you didn't know them. No, it was.
- 47:38Speaker 3: Yes, literally craigslist. That can you imagine?
- 47:43Speaker 2: That is legitimately insane. That is so I would I
- 47:51Speaker 2: would rather.
- 47:52Speaker 4: Live with a single drug addict then a couple.
- 47:56Speaker 2: And how old was the baby? The baby was like
- 47:59Speaker 2: a year old. Oh, so you were living with a
- 48:02Speaker 2: nuclear family.
- 48:06Speaker 3: I believe in the family, traditional family.
- 48:09Speaker 4: That is so okay, okay, I don't want to switch
- 48:15Speaker 4: the dynamic, but it really feels like you're.
- 48:18Speaker 2: But just just here. Okay, So was this a guess
- 48:21Speaker 2: house situation or like just in there with the family,
- 48:25Speaker 2: just simply another one of the bedrooms.
- 48:26Speaker 5: What are you talking about?
- 48:28Speaker 2: It's just like over to big dinner. They were like,
- 48:34Speaker 2: that is crazy. It was.
- 48:36Speaker 3: I mean, it didn't surprise, it didn't work out. I
- 48:39Speaker 3: was out of there after like three months, and they
- 48:40Speaker 3: were so mad that I left. But sorry, you didn't
- 48:43Speaker 3: get me onto your lease.
- 48:44Speaker 5: That's your fault.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you were clearly paying for that baby.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I was absolutely paying for the baby. But like
- 48:51Speaker 3: the whole situation, they asked me to tell a joke immediately.
- 48:54Speaker 3: They wanted me to pay one hundred and fifty dollars
- 48:56Speaker 3: a week for groceries or I was like, I'm going
- 48:58Speaker 3: to be eating shredded.
- 48:59Speaker 2: When I'm sorry.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Yeah, they criticized like my diet choices when I started
- 49:05Speaker 3: buying cheap groceries. But it was like, you know, I'm
- 49:07Speaker 3: living with a couple on their baby. Where do you
- 49:09Speaker 3: think my money is?
- 49:10Speaker 1: I get?
- 49:11Speaker 2: Wait, what part of was that? Like?
- 49:13Speaker 3: Mid city West Hollywood is my god, right behind the
- 49:18Speaker 3: Magnolia Bakery there on Third Stroke.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Okay, hitting part of town. We love that part of
- 49:23Speaker 4: love that part of town. I mean you're near.
- 49:26Speaker 2: I believe there's a volcano down there.
- 49:28Speaker 5: There is a volcano.
- 49:29Speaker 2: I love that. I will only live within walking distance. Wow,
- 49:32Speaker 2: but you're talking to the king. Look that is here's
- 49:37Speaker 2: the thing. Look, people struggle all that stuff. I get.
- 49:41Speaker 2: They're like, hey, we need a roommate and alleviate some
- 49:44Speaker 2: of this. I've never heard of a family being like
- 49:48Speaker 2: and you also need to go in on groceries. You
- 49:51Speaker 2: know that is? That is so to me. That's like
- 49:55Speaker 2: literally like hey, we're all putting in ten dollars on
- 49:58Speaker 2: this one shirt. It's like very like traveling pants. Like
- 50:01Speaker 2: I'm sorry, we have no idea how this is gonna
- 50:03Speaker 2: work out. I just met you fifty.
- 50:06Speaker 3: Can you imagine is so much money?
- 50:08Speaker 2: That is so much money.
- 50:10Speaker 3: It's an enormous like And then so that brings up
- 50:14Speaker 3: some questions, actually, are they putting any money in for
- 50:16Speaker 3: the groceries? For all that?
- 50:18Speaker 2: I've never even thought about that.
- 50:19Speaker 3: I just kind of assumed, Oh, they're paying the other half,
- 50:21Speaker 3: which is an exorbitant amount of money. Right now, I'm like, oh,
- 50:25Speaker 3: was I going to just be paying for all of the.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Food, right and they're just like eating shrimp?
- 50:31Speaker 4: Wait, okay, okay, sorry, one more question, and and like, actually,
- 50:37Speaker 4: maybe it may not be comfortable answering, but how much
- 50:39Speaker 4: was it per month?
- 50:41Speaker 3: I think it was like six hundred a month?
- 50:43Speaker 2: Did you have your own bathroom?
- 50:44Speaker 5: Yes?
- 50:45Speaker 3: Okay, so it was, you know, and I was living
- 50:48Speaker 3: in a decent part of town, right and I knew
- 50:50Speaker 3: literally no one in La. It was like a safish
- 50:54Speaker 3: seeming like coming to La. Still on the on paper,
- 50:59Speaker 3: a very bad, very bad.
- 51:01Speaker 2: Have you ever spoken to them ever?
- 51:03Speaker 3: No, but one of them I think found me on
- 51:05Speaker 3: social media at some point. I hope that they're not listeners.
- 51:08Speaker 5: We'll get at.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Least three bad reviews and like followed me as like
- 51:13Speaker 3: simply not following because when I gave them the month's notice,
- 51:16Speaker 3: they were so pissed.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Yeah, they were furious with me.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not going to be friends with you, right yea,
- 51:22Speaker 3: yeah for three months and then you were mean to me.
- 51:24Speaker 3: You take pictures of the apartment so you could put
- 51:26Speaker 3: the apartment back on Craigslist. So the only other things
- 51:30Speaker 3: I remember about them were at one point she was
- 51:32Speaker 3: watching classic movie Jack and Jill Adam Sadler's Jack and Jill,
- 51:37Speaker 3: and somehow I was like, I must have said, how's
- 51:39Speaker 3: the movie? And she said, well, it's not Shrek funny,
- 51:42Speaker 3: it's just like crazy, Like what is your bar for comedy?
- 51:48Speaker 2: Are there any what year was this?
- 51:51Speaker 5: Twenty ten?
- 51:52Speaker 2: There has to be like emails like you have to
- 51:55Speaker 2: have my god, I should what if?
- 51:59Speaker 3: Oh we haven't even thought?
- 52:00Speaker 2: What if?
- 52:01Speaker 3: I'm sure they're there?
- 52:02Speaker 2: At least they run Warner Brothers.
- 52:06Speaker 3: It's David Allison's Could you were mad?
- 52:10Speaker 2: That is? I'm not that like?
- 52:11Speaker 4: And I had a Mine wasn't super crazy, but like
- 52:15Speaker 4: when I moved here, I moved from Atlanta. I was
- 52:18Speaker 4: working at a restaurant.
- 52:19Speaker 2: The bartender was like, Hey, at this other restaurant I
- 52:22Speaker 2: used to work at one of the other guys there
- 52:24Speaker 2: is moving to LA You guys should live together. We
- 52:27Speaker 2: met for ten minutes and went okay, and then we
- 52:29Speaker 2: just got in a car and drove across the county.
- 52:31Speaker 2: So it's like, that's great, he's still one of my
- 52:32Speaker 2: good friends. But like we weren't like hey, and also
- 52:37Speaker 2: we need to put a family.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yours is a much more normal situation.
- 52:42Speaker 2: Were you like, were there was there a curfew?
- 52:46Speaker 3: Well, there was no curfew. I avoided them almost at
- 52:49Speaker 3: all costs.
- 52:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that there was really an expectation of
- 52:53Speaker 3: me being kind of part of the situation though. Yeah, yeah,
- 52:57Speaker 3: because I think they were like they found it like
- 52:59Speaker 3: off putting that I was like, I'm you know, I'm
- 53:01Speaker 3: renting a room, right, yeah, I don't want to be
- 53:04Speaker 3: the uncle full house or whatever. So God blasts, I guess.
- 53:10Speaker 3: The only Yeah, the only other thing I remember is
- 53:12Speaker 3: they had a massive framed poster of the band crazy
- 53:16Speaker 3: Town autographed. So there were some red flags, I mean
- 53:20Speaker 3: obviously from the very beginning, and then it was just
- 53:23Speaker 3: red flag, red flag, red flag and worked out perfectly,
- 53:28Speaker 3: that is.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Okay, Like and then and then you moved in by yourself.
- 53:33Speaker 3: Yes, I obviously after a situation like yeah yeah yeah
- 53:37Speaker 3: yeah yeah yeah Wow. So I found something that was like,
- 53:40Speaker 3: thank god, something slightly I mean almost the same costs
- 53:43Speaker 3: obviously have much smaller, less fun space. Well fund's not
- 53:47Speaker 3: the word, but uh so I never had a roommate again.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Did they ever invite you to stuff? No?
- 53:53Speaker 3: But they were kind of like I think they at
- 53:55Speaker 3: least retired like rave culture or something like.
- 53:59Speaker 5: This, or real party type.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Who they seemed like with like they're the sort of
- 54:05Speaker 3: person that you would run into who's a promoter, right,
- 54:09Speaker 3: you know where you're like, oh yeah, do anything right?
- 54:11Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah?
- 54:13Speaker 3: And there was there was just like they were both
- 54:14Speaker 3: very tan. There was something about them that was like
- 54:17Speaker 3: what was happening to you in the nineties interview process barely.
- 54:21Speaker 3: I remember talking to one of them still in Utah
- 54:24Speaker 3: on my cell phone in a Walmart, just like figuring
- 54:26Speaker 3: it out.
- 54:27Speaker 4: I man, this is because here's the thing, is like
- 54:30Speaker 4: that part of the story is.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Like magnificent. That sounds exactly like what should be happening.
- 54:37Speaker 4: It's just like I spoke to strangers that have a
- 54:40Speaker 4: Walmart in Utah and I ended up living with them.
- 54:43Speaker 2: That part I'm all for. The part that gets me
- 54:46Speaker 2: is like a now meet family.
- 54:51Speaker 3: So also like, are they on the other side telling
- 54:54Speaker 3: their friends we once lived with a man we met
- 54:56Speaker 3: from Utah. We let a drifter into our house.
- 54:58Speaker 4: And no, because I'm assuming you didn't put up the
- 55:02Speaker 4: ad being like any families want to take it a
- 55:04Speaker 4: cool guy looking.
- 55:05Speaker 3: To kill somebody?
- 55:08Speaker 2: Like what when you Okay, I'll ask more questions later.
- 55:12Speaker 2: This is great. I don't want to waste your time.
- 55:14Speaker 2: This is that is Yeah, that's a fun one.
- 55:16Speaker 3: It was a big swing.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Yeah, thank god it works out because I could have. Also,
- 55:21Speaker 3: like the fact that I found another place is like,
- 55:24Speaker 3: I'm surprised I didn't just move back to Utah. Yes,
- 55:27Speaker 3: what are you talking?
- 55:29Speaker 2: Yeah, like, oh, only people in l A are weird families.
- 55:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it just speaks to have strong.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Of a person. I mean again, like the muscles man.
- 55:43Speaker 2: You know you want to you don't want to talk
- 55:44Speaker 2: about it, but I want to talk about listener.
- 55:46Speaker 3: You have no idea the things he said to me
- 55:48Speaker 3: off my right.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but you do what you gotta do for
- 55:53Speaker 2: your friends.
- 55:55Speaker 3: Well, is there anything left to say about the screwdriver?
- 55:56Speaker 3: I'm so excited about this, go under my sink, yes, like.
- 55:59Speaker 4: Literally all all I can say that. The only new
- 56:04Speaker 4: thing I can say about it is that just don't
- 56:07Speaker 4: don't take it for granted because people start losing bits.
- 56:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, of course this thing's almost worse exactly, but
- 56:16Speaker 3: don't do that. I have a question for you, as
- 56:18Speaker 3: a handy person. My water bottle is now screwed too
- 56:21Speaker 3: tight and I can't even like I'll put it between
- 56:24Speaker 3: my legs and try to unscrew it. How am I
- 56:26Speaker 3: going to get this thing open?
- 56:27Speaker 2: Okay, So there's there's a few things you could do.
- 56:29Speaker 4: I like, I'm assuming you don't have a vice, which, right,
- 56:34Speaker 4: there's what's called a strap wrench, or you could also
- 56:37Speaker 4: just use like a leather belt. But what you want
- 56:40Speaker 4: to do is put that around, Okay, make it tight.
- 56:43Speaker 4: There's enough friction usually that you can, just as long
- 56:45Speaker 4: as you're holding it with something that also has friction,
- 56:48Speaker 4: right kind of.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Okay, Well I own one of those things.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go. It's the same thing they use
- 56:54Speaker 2: for oil filters in your car. You can't get them
- 56:56Speaker 2: off a leather belt strap wrench version if you don't
- 57:01Speaker 2: have rise what does a strap wrench look like it.
- 57:04Speaker 4: Literally it's it looks like a handle and then looks
- 57:07Speaker 4: like a long like a rubber belt attached.
- 57:10Speaker 3: To it holding the dog catcher.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Us.
- 57:12Speaker 4: Yes, exactly, and then you pull that, you pull the
- 57:14Speaker 4: rubber strap through it, and you get enough tension on it,
- 57:17Speaker 4: and then you just start the other way.
- 57:19Speaker 3: Wow, this is great to know. This is very good
- 57:21Speaker 3: information that God be recorded. Conversation is worthless.
- 57:28Speaker 2: You you have your water bottle.
- 57:30Speaker 5: Well, we should play a game.
- 57:31Speaker 3: Yes, I need a number between one in tent from
- 57:34Speaker 3: you five. Okay, I have to do some light calculating
- 57:37Speaker 3: to get our game pieces. So right now you can
- 57:39Speaker 3: promote recommend to whatever you want.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Our film The Gutter is still streaming on Hulu, written
- 57:46Speaker 2: by me, co directed by me and my brother Isaiah Lester,
- 57:50Speaker 2: starring Shamik Moore, Darcy card and Susan Sarand and Paul Reiser,
- 57:56Speaker 2: j Ellis Langston Kerman, Adam Brody, Paul Sheer, and Pally Uh,
- 58:02Speaker 2: Monique gall God, who else is in this movie?
- 58:06Speaker 4: There's There's, it's it's names Galore, my wife Chelsea Devant is,
- 58:10Speaker 4: Aaron Dewey, Lennox uh.
- 58:12Speaker 5: Start naming extras Okay.
- 58:15Speaker 2: My cousin Mike, Uh, that's what, all right?
- 58:22Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 58:22Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's a it's a fun, stupid bowling comedy
- 58:27Speaker 4: and you should watch it.
- 58:29Speaker 3: Everybody please go watch that. Watch something that has to
- 58:32Speaker 3: do with comedy.
- 58:33Speaker 2: That's fun. Right, we're begging. Okay, this is how we
- 58:39Speaker 2: play get real battle? Sorry, good battle, Jack Harvey jack a,
- 58:43Speaker 2: Harry kim Field Sorry.
- 58:46Speaker 3: Unbelievable camp yeah crazy yeah, yeah, everyone can watch it. Yeah,
- 58:51Speaker 3: it's on Hulu. Who's got it all?
- 58:54Speaker 2: Yeah? We love Okay.
- 59:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna name three things. You're going to tell me
- 59:02Speaker 3: if they're a gift or a curse and why? Okay,
- 59:03Speaker 3: and I'll tell you if you're right or wrong because
- 59:05Speaker 3: they're a correct answer.
- 59:06Speaker 2: Okay, all right, so be very careful. Yes, all right.
- 59:09Speaker 3: This first one is from a listener named Colin. Gift
- 59:11Speaker 3: or a curse a very chatty mail carrier.
- 59:15Speaker 4: Oh I I'm not gonna lie. I'm gonna say that's
- 59:18Speaker 4: a gift. And the reason I say it's as a
- 59:19Speaker 4: gift is because anyone in particular that service not just
- 59:25Speaker 4: like restaurants. People talk to you because you know, the
- 59:28Speaker 4: server talks to you because they want a bigger tip.
- 59:29Speaker 4: There's kind of no, there's no endgame for a mail
- 59:33Speaker 4: carrier to want to talk to you other than like
- 59:36Speaker 4: they are nice and kind and because of that, they
- 59:40Speaker 4: want to reciprocate your niceness and kindness. And they always
- 59:44Speaker 4: make sure not only are your packages on time, but
- 59:47Speaker 4: they hide them for you, especially if you got porch pirates.
- 59:51Speaker 4: So I say, I say, it's a gift.
- 59:54Speaker 3: Correct gift.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I couldn't.
- 59:56Speaker 3: I mean, I can't say anything else. I mean that
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: this would be the podcast. No, I love it. I
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: first of all, I love to see the male carrier
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: because I feel like we're on such opposite schedules. It
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: almost feels like seeing a unicorn or something.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: Here's the person.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: They never talked to me, which you know, I think
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: I just have a deeply off putting personality. Nobody who
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: does any type of service wants anything to do with
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: me or a conversation. So the idea of someone even
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: like answering how are you doing? Melts my home. Also,
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: like these good I'm sure they're full of gossip. They
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: know the neighborhood. These people really are on the ground
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: snooping on your neighbors. They're seeing their male ask them
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: about your neighbors into it.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: I you know, I'm in a very I'm in a
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: precarious situation. I'm in a very, very suburban area where
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: like the talk about a gift of a curse is
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: that like because of where I am.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: It's a beautiful place. But I'm also.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: And you know me, so this is gonna sound crazy.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: I'm also the most dangerous person on my street. So
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: like people like see me walking the dogs, They're like, there,
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: he is the bad boy.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: In Los Angeles.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: So I want I whereas I want to ask that gossip.
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: I'm afraid again I get back into my Tarantino situation.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: It's like, oh no, everyone hates you, and I'm like, okay, okay,
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: thank you.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: I'm throwing a lot of away, a lot of hate man,
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: trying to protect you. All right, Okay, You've gotten one
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: right so far. This next is from a list next
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: one is from a listener named Addie. Gift to a
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: curse baby up in this bitch car stickers.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Oh man, I I'm going full curse. And I love
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: babies and I love children, but I don't think babies
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: and children can be cool in the ways that adults
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: project coolness onto them, Like you know, when you see
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: like a baby like in like Warby Parkers, yeah exactly,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: or like you know, uh, like a Nike jog or
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: tech sweatsuit, you're like, what is like that? No kids
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: should be wearing that, you know what I mean?
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: And so like when you do when you do a
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: license or not a licenseate like a bumper stick or
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: whatever like that, that still reads to me as you
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: projecting that like this is either a a cool kid
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: or that you think you're so cool about your I
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: don't know, Hondai Sonata that like it's just like so
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: like I I also I also think I'm just very
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: anti a thing on your car that is not we
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: are Charlie Kirk.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: I think you have that. I think you have.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: That's your one.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's just me. But we know that correct.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Of course, I used to even be against the like
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: baby uh in car whatever, and then I realized that
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: those are kind of like they actually have a purpose
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: where it's for emergency.
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: Things or whatever.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: At some point I thought people are just like bragging
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: about carrying a baby around.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: That is a cynical. Take. Look at this, Look at
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: this idiot just bragging that they have a baby, it's
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: like so funny to me.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: No, it's a real thing, but yeah, this is Naola, Like, no,
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: you're not cool. You made the dorky choice to be
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: a parent.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Oh you're a nerd exactly.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: And now your child is going to be a bigger
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: nerd because you're trying to be cool, right, exactly. Your
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: child is not into prints. Your child doesn't love David Bowie.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: They're three years old.
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: Like the idea of like a three year old listening
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: to Darling Nikki being like, oh why.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: This is ziggy starts alright, They're like they want to
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: eat candy, use the bathroom all themselves, and then to sleep.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: And listen to the most irritating music you can possibly imagine.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Anyone who knows a child knows that they want to
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: listen to the worst music ever creates just a series
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: of like bells like xilophone.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: Yes exactly, that's yeah, I uh that like baby up
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: in the sticker is the same reason why they do
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: like Minivan commercials.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: But like the song they use is like ride and DIRB,
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: which is like it drives me. I'm like stop.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: Insecurity showing there is so embarrassing.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: And it's also like by the way minivans, great cars,
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: excellent cars, all wheel drive, tons of space, save made.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: The earnest decision to have a family.
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: Good for you.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: That's okay, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: Or buy a Yukon and be that person. But anyway,
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: I digress.
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: All right, you've gotten two right so far. This final
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: one is from a listener named Brandon Gift your a
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: curse showers with only half a shower door.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: Oh my god, this is that.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: It's crazy that would even come as anything other than
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: a curse.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: I mean it sincerely.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: Like I, you know, you before the world fell apart,
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: You're every once in a while, you're like, I have
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: X amount of money in my account and I have
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: to go on a trip. I'm gonna splurge a little bit,
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: and you go to one of these hotels. The most
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: notorious one is the W Hotel. I had seen it.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: This is so pitiful.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: By the way, I only knew what the W Hotel
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: was because I had seen an episode of Curb Your
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: Enthusiasm where they like do an event at the W Hotel,
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: and so I was like, going to like Dallas, by
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: the way, and I was like, same hotel. It's got
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: to be the same hotel. I go, I I sincerely
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: mean it. I think not only is it maybe the
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: wildest imposition you can put on a guest, but I
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: also I'm like, what is what's the money play here? Like,
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: is there is getting a second pane of glass destroying
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: the profitability of this hotel?
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: The floor is soaked, you get like it.
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: It becomes that it goes from I'm taking a shower
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: to now my entire bathroom is taking a shower.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: It drives me crazy. Curse, curse, curse for me, curse.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: You win the game, You win the game, you get
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: all through.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: These are a course, And there's a chance I may
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: have talked about this on this podcast before, but I
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: feel like, you know, like people like gen X or
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: whatever got a lot of shit for the the sinks
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: that are essentially a punch bowl on top.
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: Of a cabinet.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: I think, millennials, we've created this half shower door. This
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: is our you know, the thing that we would just
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: have to live with, the curse we put on the earth,
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: an absolutely worthless invention. Yeah yeah, Like you understand for
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: about three seconds, oh, it's supposed to look cool, and
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: then you realize, like, well, this is supposed to be
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: a practical thing.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I'm doing exactly.
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: This is so, this is just now leading to all
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: sorts of problems. For so it looks a little bit
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: more like an apple store.
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: I don't care.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Give me a door, give me a curtain at least.
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: And I'm also like, and you know, uh, far be
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: it from me, But I'm like, if I'm a woman,
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: the last thing I want to do is be in
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: a hotel room by myself in some strange city and
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: be like, oh, I wonder how much access someone could
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: have to me.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like it feels it feels
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: like a genuinely there might as well not be any
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: glass sincerely, because it's not doing the thing that anywhere.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: I want to see a remake of Psycho with the
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: half shower door.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: He walked and he's like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sorry,
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: You're always supposed to see a sillabuette.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: You did it again? Normal?
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: No.
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: I And speaking of the no shower door, when we
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: were living in New York, we lived we had a
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: sublet in Williamsburg for like a month and it was
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: like a very nice like the owner had really like
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: done it up to look nice. She had elected to
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: have literally no shower door. She's like, I'm gonna have
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: the most minimalist bathroom alive. She literally had a mop
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: in there because it doesn't work like the water is all.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry, And then you would so it was like, okay,
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: I just I just showered. Now I'm gonna mop.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: Yeah, literally, because the whole bathroom's the shower.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: Okay, wait, sorry, is this like a floppy restaurant that
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: was up one of those big stinky would be so fun.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: Needless to say, she was terrible, right right, and we
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: hate her that we wished that. Okay, well you won
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: the game. Will you help me answer a listener question?
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: All right, but this is oh people. I should mention
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: people are writing in too. I said, no gifts at
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: gmail dot com, or they're sending voice notes. Those have
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: to be under sixty seconds. Do what you need to
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: do with your computer or your phone. I don't care. Okay,
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: this is hybridg you're an esteemed guess that's nice. About
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: a year ago, a friend of mine was invited to
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: a wedding that was called off a week beforehand. It
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: was called off too late to get a refund, so
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: they're still in debt from the first wedding. They never
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: returned to their gifts. This year, the same couple has
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: reconciled and is planning a destination wedding. The couple is
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: acting like the first wedding plan never happened. She had
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: another bachelorette party, they redid their engagement photos, et cetera.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: I know people go to second weddings all the time,
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: but not usually and it's the same people. What do
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: you think is the gift obligation here? Does my friend
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: need to get another gift?
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: Thanks?
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: Love the pod? Okay, butter me up am alike. This
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: is the worst couple that's ever lived.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: I mean it sincerely. Luigi Manzilo should be free and
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: he should be able to he gets one more and
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: it's this couple allegedly allegedly he that is And I like,
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: there's too much and I'm gonna maybe this is I don't.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: I don't consider it a controversial take.
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: I think we live in a post wedding I don't
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: think we should allow or have to celebrate the pomp
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: in circumstance of weddings anymore. I think where like, look,
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: there's no like cattle involved. Like the fact that like
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: you can watch any TV show that's ever been made
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: on your phone to me negates the fact that, like
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: weddings are cool, you know what I mean, it's just
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: not yes. So first of all, that on its own
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: is like its own island. Secondly, the idea that this couple,
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: like I don't even like it when like people argue
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: in front of me and then I see them next
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: time and like things are fine.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: The idea that like they split up literally everyone knows,
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: everyone got an email we broke up.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: That is because there's there's also the thing when people
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: break up like or split whatever, like one, you're gonna
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: end up talking bad about one of them at some
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: point for at least a small like there's the window.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: And then when they get back together, it's like, Okay,
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: I really hope you don't.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Hey, just hey, just make sure you don't say the
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: thing that I said that was because you were mad.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I actually don't really have So you're dealing with that.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: And then this idea that like you would even hopefully.
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: They're being presumptuous and thinking that this couple wants gifts,
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: but like if if they're asking for.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: Also a destination. Now the escalation, so that is demonic
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: to begin with the destination wedding is too much, yes,
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: exactly to have this second try, you.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: Have to work to break these people up. Yeah, you
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: have like this is like a Hangover sequel or something
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: where it's like, now we have to break up the
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: couple or something. You have a ticking clock. You should
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: not be Do not ask me to have a destination wedding.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: I'm not using my vacation money on your part your
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: essentially birthday party.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: But in like, sorry, keep going.
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: Sorry, no, I mean that's I just it's that that
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: is the most presumptuous thing you could possibly do is say, okay,
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: now everyone, we're going to like a perfectly fine vacation
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: spot and most of it will be spent in weird
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: social situations.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's like, hey, where's the place you've never
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: wanted to go. That's where we're going. And guess what,
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: you will have zero time to yourself.
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: Cool?
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: What then? What's the plus? Is? Like you get to
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: watch people talk to each other like that.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: Oh, you have to take time off of work.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: That's fun, man.
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: I that is that is a listener If you're listening
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: I know you are. I would say, not only do
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: not feel obligated to get a gift, I think you
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: should go full like Jared leto suicide Squad, like mail
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: them like dead animals and be like I'm a crazy
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: joker guy, really really like really be bad about.
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: And you don't want to go to this thing anyway?
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: That's because okay, but and then here's and I'll leave you.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: But like I'm kicking you under the table. But what
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: what world? Like what I guess, like how unaware are you? That?
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: Like you're like the second time to the first person
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: is a destination way, but that is it's like literally
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: it's it kind of making me anxious, Like I'm like,
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: oh my god, Like if I was friends with someone
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: like that, I'd be like, oh, something's wrong.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: Right, there's something I need to work through before you
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: get married to anybody. Yeah, and we're pregnant, Like they're
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: making like dangerous life choices at this point, and there
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: it's risky becase.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: Yes, yes, that is a man. I look all power
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: to them. Maybe this is maybe we're looking at it
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: negatively and it's a test.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: They're like, if these people don't come to our second
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: that's how you prove your real friends don't show up?
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: Right, and you do write into podcasts about us, yes,
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: and then we're like, we know we can keep you around. Yeah,
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: and talk about the Joker.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: These people are screwed there, loco.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: This is literally Jared Leto's oh god.
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: I look, I don't want it. Is that slander libel.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: We don't know that he's done any of these things.
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: We're just thinking really about his character, the Joker.
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: Right, yeah, Also heave in real life, who's a scumback?
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: Who's a filthy scumbany.
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: Disney loves him?
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Whatever?
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Emily, we answered your question perfectly. Do not
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: write back in yeaes sir, I have a practical object,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: thank god. Yeah, every like one in a hundred is
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: something I can implement in my life.
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, and I'm so happy.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: To have it.
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: Like, here's the thing that one, by the way you're
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: using for those of you not being able to see Bridger,
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: he's got a MacBook out in.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: Front of him.
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: That one has the Torques bits so you can actually
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: use it to open your mac book really yeah?
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: Oh and what would I do in there? Like, look,
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: you're red peanut butter around.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: Just put a bomb inside. Yeah dust, but look upgrade
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: my ram you know, if you ever needed to look
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: because also I don't want to.
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: I don't want to go into the nerd stuff. Anyway,
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: you got to open it if you need it to.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: That's good to know, that's very good to know. Well,
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: I had obviously a lovely time.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: This was just this is just everything we wanted.
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: This is what we've both been begging each other for
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: it since the day we met. Thank you for being here,
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: Thank you for having me listener. The podcast is over
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: a reminder to send in the voice notes or the
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: emails to I Said No Gifts at gmail dot com.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: Keep them under sixty seconds. If it's a voice note,
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: record it like not in a tornado. And I think
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: that's it. The podcast is really coming to a screeching halt.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: I love you, goodbye.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: I Said No Gifts is an exactly right production. Our
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: senior producer is Ellis Nelson, and our episodes are beautifully
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: mixed by Ben Holliday. The theme song is by miracle
