After 30 years of heroic service, Newton Fire/EMS Chief Steve Roberson hung up his helmet—leaving behind a legacy as one of just 99 global leaders to hold both Chief Fire Officer and Chief EMS Officer titles. Starting in 1995 with the Newton Ambulance Department, he rose through the ranks, earning advanced degrees, becoming a registered nurse, and completing the elite National Fire Academy Executive Program.
