Caswell Beach, North Carolina, is set to revolutionize water rescue with a donated U SAFE device — a self-propelled, remote-controlled lifebuoy that zips to distressed swimmers and brings them safely back to shore. This tech lets first responders stay out of harm’s way during rough conditions, turning danger into a win-win. The nonprofit FPTower Inc. is giving it away as part of their maritime safety initiative, and Caswell was chosen by public vote in 2026 through their Save A Life Raffle.
