- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: What we do here is every week, we kind of run down a movie that we review.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: We talk about the movies that are coming out this week.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're also going to talk about in this particular episode, our favorite TV drama.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm all talking to you.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: OK. Well, in case you have forgotten, there is a spreadsheet that you have access to on the Google's that you can look at that has all the different on the Google, not the Google, the Google's.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's how we pronounce it.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's like going to the joules, you know, that's how you're supposed to do it when you're from Chicago.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: Chicago.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you got to go down by the, you know, you got to go over by there.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: Over by there.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yes today.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be ready.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: So the movie review in this week.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: Spider-Man brand new day.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we have a guest reviewer as well, too, don't we?
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: We may be not that hot up.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: We're hoping too because we saw Spider-Man together, but our guest reviewer who you would like to be the main reviewer is not available.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting, he's not shopping for his back to school clothes because he's no taxi.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: My I'm taking advantage by the way should just shout out to my I'm doing this show with us You know we shot it out to our man who's a dad and Victoria you want to thank you for allowing Tina to do this show with us We know he has a lot of fun with it.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: But we probably have more fun than he does Yeah, probably says he's my boss
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: least as I work for him.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: That was awesome.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: And that one I still haven't seen Toy Story 5.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's a demaret for you, Grandpa.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I may be getting fired.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you might be getting fired too.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, so we'll give you our review of Spider-Man.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: We're also going to talk about this week's releases.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: So let's kick it off with what's coming out this week.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: So the end of Oak Street is the very
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's basically where a mysterious cosmic event rips oak street from suburbia and then transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, wow.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: Anne Hathaway's in it, David Robert and Michael.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: Is she really in everything?
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: You just said that because Devore's product too came out like not too long ago.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: But she was in something else too, recently.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if you don't know what it is, then it doesn't count.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: When you get yelled at, yeah, you know.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, by our our critic over at Bebeard, water repair, water repair, and I didn't have a new.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: In Downers Grove.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Move it on.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: The brink of war.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: Basically this movie is about President Reagan, where he's racing against time to salvage a deal with the Soviet leader, Mikhail Garvachav, all about dismantling the nuclear threat and the war.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that had anything to do with them.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: JK Simmons.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: That was a Gorbachev.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Reagan told Gorbachev to tear it on the war.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: That was a Gorbache on really, Mr. Gorbache on that with the tear down this wall the guy with the you talking about the Berlin of the of Russia talking about the Berlin wall.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Okay interesting.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: pretty sure.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not denying you.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I would have been Anne Hathaway.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think I was eight at the time.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's part of, that's why the questioning is comes out because you think Anne Hathaway was in the bunch of films this year so far.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: JK Simmons is, of course, in the Brink of War, along with Jared Harris, and then Michael Russell, Russell, Gun, and Jeff Daniels.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: Moving on, the wrong girls, which is basically about some close friends who are struggling financially, and then, but they get by on minimal earnings and frequent marijuana use.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds like a fun one, doesn't it?
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like a fun ride indeed.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: And then last but not least, and I feel like these movies come out every once in a blue, I feel like these movies come out like every other year.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: We have a Paw Patrol movie come out like every other year, don't we?
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: They're fun movies, don't I?
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I kind of, I don't know.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: Redundant?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, it's hard to believe that dogs can save a city,
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know what, I asked my doctor today with two minus two was, you know what you said?
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Woof!
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: You should have asked him what's on top of a house.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see, yeah, well, yes.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Then it probably would have worked with him because he probably would have just been rough.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Unless he goes rough, you know, no, that's what you say.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: How does sandpaper feel?
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, rough, okay.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: What's on top of a rough on top of a house?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: Well, easy for you to say there.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: Paul Pashore, of course, featuring your typical cast of characters.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: This one's called Paw Patrol, the Dino movie.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so it could be interesting to go back in time then.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, after their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm the Paw Patrol dog ship I guess so after their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm the Paw Patrol Pups crash land on an unantarded Tropical island filled with dinosaurs who has to pick it up when they ship I don't I don't know who picks up the ship They probably don't give a ship about who picks up the ship oh dogs on a ship.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, again
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: They got to do something right.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I mean technically it's kind of take I mean the at least in the putt of an helicopter Then it would be like a total rip off Interactive the one flies a helicopter But what I'm saying is that would be a total rip off of Jurassic Park that like if they arrive to this place So they got to change it a little bit right well maybe they get stuck in an island with a guy named Gilligan
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: that perhaps, Gipper, I'm not sure.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: Good be, right?
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: Who knows?
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so that's what's coming out this week.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: A couple other movies as well, but a lot of them have been limited or released, and so we won't talk about those.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: However, a movie reviewed quite some time ago is now on HBO Max.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, normal.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Normal.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: Did you ever get to see that?
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: I did.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: What'd you think of it?
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: Because we never got back to that.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was pretty good.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I mean, I'd probably give it like a seven and a half.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot what I gave it, but I saw the Irishman recently.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, really.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't care for it.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Really.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I saw this Martin Scorsese masterpiece.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was slow and kind of boring and dragged out.
- 7:21[UNKNOWN]: I
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: well there you go folks you got you got an un-requested review that's like a three-and-a-half-hour movie up the Irishman i started watching in eleven and i felt as i kept i was like it's gonna get better it's gonna get quicker it's gonna be more martenskore sazy and it never did no so you streamed it on like Netflix or something yeah it was on that okay
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Because you said well you have you seen the Irish when I got nervous and then I I was looking through movies and I'm like well, I guess I may as well watch it.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's not that's a great As we do here on the show, we don't always agree with you.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know hardly ever agree.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's not that's not true We agree a lot.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: So any of those excite you because I'll just be up front and honest if you're not a single one of them excites me whatsoever although I have a feeling I know what you're going to pick I think I think we're going to be on the brink of something here If I'm being honest, but anyway
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we could do Paw Patrol, we couldn't.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then we could get, that's not really a Tino movie, though.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's more, I don't think it's a little too old for them.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: And we can always get a belated Spider-Man review from him next week, because he's got some thoughts on that movie.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: So that's good.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: How about any current TV shows you'd rather take a look at in the maybe review?
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: because I can tell you that I can definitely review a TV show next week for sure.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: I said it once in Alona, Alana, Aloni.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the Sherlock Holmes did you do that?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and no la home in no la.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, very slow to What it just was I'm sorry.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: What movie were you watching the first one was quick and funny and fast-paced?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: You are now the first I watch two episodes and they're not episodes.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: They're movies.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: So I was the first movie Then okay, I think I don't think I made it through halfway who play Sherlock
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I can't think of his name.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: Cumberbun, was it Cumberbun?
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: Then you didn't run.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: Nope.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: I did watch it.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not denying that you watch it.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Watch it.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Sherlock Holmes gets kidnapped and leaves clues for her to figure out what's going on.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Sherlock Holmes gets kidnapped.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Sherlock Holmes gets kidnapped.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'll try.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: Sherlock Holmes does not get kidnapped.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: He does kick in there.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: No, he does not.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: Well, maybe at the end they reveal that he didn't make it to the end.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: No, he does not.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: You're not watching the same thing, dude.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: You got taken.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: No, he didn't.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: Her brother gets taken.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Sherlock Holmes gets taken.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, and Watson is not even in the movie.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: So I know you've had the movie.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: Not, not until the end.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: Watson does not introduce to Sherlock Holmes in a Nola Holmes one until the end of the movie.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, did I watch in all the homes to them?
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see to?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: I saw to.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: Did he get kidnapped into?
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Nope.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: Where do you get kidnapped and when moving then I watch?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea what you watch and especially if you said Benedict Cumberpat, you probably just watched.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like him.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: And probably, wait, those two look nothing alike, my friend.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Although those two both have played different superheroes.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's for sure.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: But however, no, I don't think you were talking about that.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: So here to be on it, to be fair.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Where is she going?
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let me tell me if I'm wrong.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: Who plays her?
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: She leaves the guy at the altar.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: What the hell am I watching?
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you watched, I don't know what you watched, but it's not a Noah Holmes, not the first one.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: The first one, she's not even, she didn't even have a boyfriend in the first one.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: Let alone the second one.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: I saw.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you watched a Noah Holmes three.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: Was there a three?
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: There is a third one.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's, that's new on Netflix and I'm gonna gear, I'm gonna bet that's probably what you watched.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: And the problem is if you watch that, that's the third one in the series.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: So we're not talking about the same thing which we'd explain why we're we're not on the same page when it comes to that you might have watched in all homes three I have not watched in all homes three yet just to be honest with you No, I did watch it.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just messing around with you Yeah, you watch in all what we and it would make sense that you watched it because that's the one that I reviewed
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: but that's the last one.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: So you missed out on the first two.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: But yes, in that case, then you are absolutely right.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: She travels to Malta for the wedding.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: You're absolutely losing it the all the time.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I said homes gets taken.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I said in that case.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: You first one.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you said you saw the first one.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: So that's what I was watching the first one.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just telling you what.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why you threw me on.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Was it have a number on it?
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't see a number three.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, it's at the end.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so now watch one because it might be quicker this one.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see three?
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: three was the one I reviewed three was the one that I said we didn't need to have I said they're NKC and three was kind of slow it was slow it did make sense it was just it didn't follow it didn't so this is your right she didn't leave him at the altar you're right Sherlock and now by the way you're giving spoilers away but there's a big fire yep
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, so you watch three for sure parts of three maybe the other like three quarters of the way.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so yes, but you need to watch the first one You need to go back on the first one a second one because they were a hell of a lot more fast I'm going to officially apologize to my co-host.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my what could you say that again, please?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, okay All right, it's been another four or five years.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right episode 50 So I got away three episode three Big cake.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: This is I'm sorry.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: Okay Appreciate that.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you don't have a pez cake
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: a pes cake.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: That'll be delicious.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to open up and there's going to be stuff in the middle of it.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: It might, it might.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not get too clear.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: No too carried away with cakes open.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know where that goes.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: So move on.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: TV shows do you have a TV show you'd like to review that?
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: A new one.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'll let you think about it.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: We'll review Spider-Man and then you can come back to it and then we can figure out if we're going to review something maybe I just watched a series.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just started watching a series and I thought was kind of good and that's because I They got Netflix and keep up with you.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'll let you use your little cheat tool over there go on.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: You phone figure out what TV show you You just started watching.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about Spider-Man.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about Spider-Man brand new day.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to start off at the very beginning And I'm going to tell you I gave it a 9.5
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: I will not give anything a ten because honestly nothing's perfect.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm sorry because I have a feeling, I feel I know what you rated it only because we got to see the little preview of what we're going to be putting up on Instagram and Facebook and all that kind of stuff.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, because I knew what my score was.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what your score was, so I'm sure you figured out what mine was.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, yeah, 9.5.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: It is spectacular.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: It is amazing.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: It is stupidest.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: It is incredible.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's not the right one.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: Incredible doesn't go with Spider-Man.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, you see what I did there.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: Amazing, spectacular.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: OK.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, all right.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: So here's the thing.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to flat out say this.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: The best Spider-Man casting ever is our good friend Tom Holland, right?
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's his name.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, correct.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: We got it right.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot get it.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot get enough of him a Spider-Man.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: I just can't.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm gonna say this.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he wasn't acting when he looks at MJ.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that's just how much he loves her in real life.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like you know, I feel like you're seeing raw emotion from him because of their relationship.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's a Peter Parker MJ thing.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's just the two of them like naturally.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: However, it makes it even better because if you've ever read any of the comics, you know how infatuated Peter was with MJ.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: So it plays and you wanted to protect her.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: right and it plays in perfectly so that's awesome um great way to start things I love the whole ninja thing in the middle I'm not going to give too much away but there's there's a ninja fight that's just spectacular amazing spectacular um stupendus on this
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't have a lot of bad things to say the only thing I will say and this is going to be a little bit a little bit of a spoiler alert But what the hell is Jean Gray doing in this movie she has nothing to do with Spider-Man.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: I know and and as an MCU fan I just want to turn on and be like just give us this MCU X-Men first before you do this because I just feel like I mean I know what they're doing here because if you know what they're if you know what they're about to release
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same token it doesn't make sense because I just felt like she was just in there because they want to do other cool things like her powers or and the effects of her powers completely awesome like I got nothing bad to say got nothing bad to say about the casting the visual effects are amazing the cinematography is great the soundtrack is even great.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: I can't say, the only negative thing I can say is I just don't understand what Gene Gray was doing in there and it just didn't make sense and it didn't make the, it didn't do anything extra for the movie.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: It just maybe go, oh, we got our first X-Men in an MCU movie, so to speak, you know, because we know that other X-Men are going to be in other MCU movies, at least if you see some of the spoilers talking about Doomsday.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah other than that, I mean, it's great.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's spectacular.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: Go see it if you haven't already.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: Go see it a second time if you already saw it once because I get up guarantee you that you miss something.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: I will say this.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: What a waste of time the uncredits soon was.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: Such a waste of time.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I like in it to at man 2.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're at stupid an is playing the drums I'm like what was the point of this?
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess spoiler alert here if you haven't seen it.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: Don't wait for the final for the for the end credits because it's as well.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's stupid.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, wait, wait for it to come out on Disney plus where you can fast forward through it and then not have to sit through 20 minutes worth of credits.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: But other than that, 9.5 great movie, like I said, I don't give things a 10 and the reason being is because not everything is 100% amazing.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: There were a few little.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: a few little things that I like we're kind of like and that doesn't make any sense but that's just me being more critical because I'm a comic book kid from way back when so that's that's my review and that's that's all I got to say about that and then the immortal words of
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: uh... what do you give it nine point five i gave it a nine oh i gave it a nine a couple of reasons well well then then then the picture's wrong we need to yell at somebody that the picture is wrong would picture i'm talking about this picture that i bought the book on my phone and just a second if you give me a second that one
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: where it says 9.5 slash 10.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: So you're listening to this, you need to fix that because his ratings are nine, not a 10.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: Unless you texted him with 10, I don't know.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: But that's why he was asking the questions that he was asking because he wanted to put, so I'm showing the folks, he's got you back then.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: nine five I didn't but the ten would have been you nine five out of ten maybe nine point five out of ten right okay I guess that's what he's doing okay but normally mine's initially usually he did he send you the other one with a nine out of ten no oh all right so he's probably just using our highest record we're talking about our boss by the way who sends a communicator more recrystall with me you know I'm an actual father Fajra
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I gave it an an.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: I thought Tom Holland really delivered a multi-faceted performance.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: You're right about the the scene with with a Sunday.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to interject this.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's the best.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: He is literally the best Spider-Man I have ever seen.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's really really good.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's the best.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I usually say Toby's pretty good.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: To be was good was okay, but anyway, go ahead.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he really acted Really well a lot of levels.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, he's a great love the alliance with the Punisher if you haven't seen untarded
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: I saw I'm sure that was good too that was exactly and that's Tom Holland.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's great in that too.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: I like the alliance that he formed with the Punisher the while that that's that's so comic bookie that's in the comic.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: I know what I like it.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: I like the way you did it.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: I like that the the two they played off each other really well.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'd send there was cool to have in there but she really I don't think she added a whole lot except to give Tom Holland somebody to stare at and woo
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: The facts were amazing, a fake, a facts were really amazing.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: You're right, the tease at the end was just a poignant.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: What's really a weird is that I went to go see with my grandson, who was going to review with us today, but he's not available.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, because he saw it, is it, are they doing a teasing?
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, there's a teaser.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: So we sat through all the credits.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: for what was a non-teaser and he knew it, he knew it and he made me sit there, that's a really easy, all that made me sit there, so that's way to go, Tilo, I love it, and you birthday getting that nice, way to go, Tilo, I love it, I thought, because because we weren't thinking to take it my granddaughter and I thought, you know, you know,
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: This is like the most complicated Spider-Man.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: I've ever seen it.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: And if you don't have a really good knowledge of previous Spider-Man, you're gonna be really alive.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's why I gave it such a high rating because we've got finally And no no bad things to Thor or to Iron Man or to any of the other movies Hulk.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at you though
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like we finally've gotten one where the story, the continuation of the story goes through each movie and it's just it's so seamless and it's just and it's amazing and that they they It's really it's really high-brow with the technology that he's doing there, too With the computer.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost Iron Manish in that the computer talks to him and stuff But it would that part of it was really cool.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the one confusion I had besides the teaser at the end
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I forgot about something else that I wanted to say, but go ahead.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: I bet it's the same thing.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't think so.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: OK.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: So he works out the modulator, right?
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: The key.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: Spoiler alert if you haven't seen it, by the way.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's for alert.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: To keep him from going to full blown spider, to keep the, uh, what's the word I'm looking for the, uh, mutation mutation.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then, and then he figures out a way to get it to Hawk.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: But Hawke had already figured that out in endgame.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: So you'd spoil the world by the way.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: But that was, I'm like, wait a minute.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Banner had already figured that out in endgame.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's doing autographs in a restaurant to little kids.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: So why is in this movie, which is after all that, is he now full blown out of control Hawke?
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: Don't forget that two things.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, we're talking about multi-universe stuff.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: And number two, Dr.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: Strange did something in the previous movie to make everybody forget who he was.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody forgot Peter Parker was Spider-Man because of the whole what happened in Homecoming with how would that have affected the home?
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would that have affected Because because he made it every because because Dr.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: Strange did something to the physical thing that he did No, no mental thing.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: No, Dr.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: Strange altered.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying with the Hawke.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, right.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: He did a physical alteration to his genetics that kept the mutation more in the control, so he could still be the hog, but still be, I'm blanking at his name, Steve Banner, right?
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: you're talking about Bruce Banner.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: He could still be Bruce Banner at the same time.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: Could this movie that's all gone, although he starts out as Bruce Banner, right, mild mannered, and then he just mild mannered.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he's a professor.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: You just took that, you just took that from some other, what is that?
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's Superman.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: Who's that from?
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's Superman.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, now matter reporter my old matter reporter Clark Kent's on the scene, but I thought that was a slip that's my opinion show.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't think it's a slip.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a it's an easy to do.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's an afternoon.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're you're entitled to your dumb stupid opinion.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just kidding.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're entitled to your opinion.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was more of a
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: Dr.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: Strange altered that whole reality kind of thing and I think that's I think that's an aftermath of the effect But but I agree with you it did it was weird and I I was so I came up I'm like wait a minute.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: He already figured this out or clearly you've watched endgame at least 12 times so you know Andrew you know my son
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: He wouldn't even take me to end game until I watched the last three.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: The first, the three previous.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: I had to go to his apartment and watch three movies.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: Marvel movies before we went to the theater.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then we saw it six times as as a marble fan.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot blame him from doing what he did because I've already seen.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's it.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: If you if you if you very saw them, that's a little much.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: But I'll say that if you if you haven't seen the other Spider-Man, you will be a little bit lost in this one.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: It could easily be lost in this one because a lot of the technology, the advanced technology and that stuff you won't get it.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you won't get it.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so that's my, my thoughts, uh, Tino just texted me.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: He said he'll, he'll do his review next week.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: That sounds good.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: Be a little late.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll get a perspective as well.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll receive.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: We know anything at all.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: We got exactly, uh, exactly for sure.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: So go see Spider-Man.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think we'll see.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, go see it brand over a billion already.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely a good movie.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: Check out in the course coming up with December.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I got some things to say about that.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so I will totally nerd out of here on you.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: I actually went back and picked up to have these graphic novel things that are out there with the comic books.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I used to have the secret wars.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: The first, I think it came out in 1984, 85.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: There was like 12 issues.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think I still actually have all those issues.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: Then there was secret wars too.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: Well, over the weekend, I went out and visited some friends and family and stuff like that.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I stopped in the comic book store.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: Because I was like, you know what, I wonder if they ever put those together in a graphic novel.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: they did.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I went to my local library, which by the way, that's where our thanks downers grow of library for the use of your facilities and everything.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I actually have checked out Sugar Oars 1 and 2 so that I can go back and read through them to refresh my memories on who the beholder is.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: Because I have a feeling something's gonna happen in doomsday that's gonna lead that way But we'll see and I won't say anything else, but anyway, that's it.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: So so enough Marvel and Marvel nerdiness Merchamists.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Merchamists.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's a word looking up that you're the one that's got the phone in front of you So you look it up because
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: there you go.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so let's move on to our favorite TV dramas and I feel like we should let you go first.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I, I, everybody that's heard this show knows by now my favorite TV drama of all time is Colombo.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's number one.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: Number two, who was it was okay?
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: Who'd had the lollipop was that clumber or code?
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: No, that was code Jack.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: Code Jack had the lollipop.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: Jake had the fat man Aaron Burr had the other fat guy that wheeled him around Aaron Burr that was he was a press or he was a vice-pres member
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: Raymond Burr.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: Raymond Burr.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: That makes more sense.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then bring it forward.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: Ellie Law.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: I like Ellie Law.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then forward.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's like the 80s.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: What I'm going to bring it forward.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: To Yellowstone.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: Did you forget one there?
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Huh?
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: Do you forget one there?
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: Who?
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: Did you forget?
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh no, I see what you did there.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: You got your little title there in your little note.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: So Columbo, number one, LA Law, yellowstone.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: Any flavor that you want to add to any of those are just going to leave them out there and say that's that.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: If you've never seen Columbo, if you're younger than 55, catch up on some Columbo episodes because they're the cool thing about Columbo that I always like
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: They show you the murder, and the murderer, and then Colombo has to figure it out.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: And there's always something as hard as I watch those shows when I haven't seen one.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: When I first, I would like just focus so hard on the murder, because I just knew I would find the one thing that the murderer slipped on and Colombo finds, and I never did.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, now I can't because I've seen him, but back in the day, it's always like a match out of place or a serial number on a champagne court because he poisoned his wife.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: Is there something that's so with some small?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the beauty of that show.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: Two things are the beauty of the show.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's a crumbled trench coat.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: to shoveled, looking detective who's a brilliant number one, and they tell you what what happens, they show you what happens, and you still can't figure out how he figured it out.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: LA law was just slick, it was just a slick show, and I just enjoyed that show a lot.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was probably super close to the real law, in my opinion.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: I thought, I thought there was really nobody overacting in that.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: There was some surprises, there was a lot of good story lines, good writing.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a Stephen Batchko, right?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: And he's just a great writer.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yellowstone, I mean, that's the latest drama that I followed all the way through.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: And it just was, I don't know, it just, I started watching one episode one night because I don't know when we would tell me about it.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I picked it up on peacock.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: I stayed up to three watching four episodes and then I got hooked and watched everything all the way up.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: I started watching marshals.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't watched it not in ranch yet, that's the next sequel to the actual other stuff.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty good.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: I've heard it's pretty good, but it's on Paramount.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have Paramount.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like CBS anymore.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I did watch marshals because that was a free and prime for a little bit.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_00]: Now it's not anymore.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: some boycotting per month CBS and all that stuff.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, okay, my rant right there for good reasons, I believe, okay, as the next TV person television person at ABC Chicago that is
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: I really bleed for what's going on in journalism and media right now.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think that anybody is worse at it on regular TV than CBS per month.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: Fox is the worst, but then CBS per month is second in my opinion.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: So there you go.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: Enough of that.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: Can't you probably cut that out?
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: No, he won't.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't cut that stuff out.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so on to me, you seem to be on a roll here with just three.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I don't know what the situation is because someone brought a pest dispenser in here and was shooting him at me if I went into more than three.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I got tired of getting hit in the eye.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: That wasn't me.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, all right.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm breaking the mold here.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: Only because there's there's too many great dramas out there.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't go too far back.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: I did go into like the late 80s early 90s though.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: So in no particular order, the more so my preference, I guess, madmen.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: would be would be one of them a great sixies drama or a great drama about the sixties but it's a great show.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great show.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's phenomenal.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you haven't seen it yourself a favor he should you know what they they missed something there.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: They had John Ham they never had Kevin Bacon.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_00]: They could have had him and bacon.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god nobody asked for your jokes.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: That would have been so cool.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: No one knows.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine the
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: Madman eating ham and bacon?
- 31:32[SPEAKER_00]: Hello?
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're just mad.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the only thing better would be if there was an actor whose last name was eggs.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: Then it'd be bacon and eggs.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: And ham.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: Bacon and eggs.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: On madman Saturday at nine.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: That'd be awesome.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: You eat your little radio voice over there.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: I ate my radio voice like that.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have, uh, we all do.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: Um, not really.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, uh, the sopranos.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: Probably one of the greatest TV drivers of all time I don't care nobody asked you all right Breaking bad another great one.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: I only saw a few of those I don't know why I didn't get into it because I like Brian Crest and a lot and actually met the young man who played his son The young man with cerebral palsy.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: I met him in a couple of events that you noticed it Proposary didn't he's just a really super nice guy I don't know why I never get into it though
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: Probably because you didn't like the overall the summation of it or something like that.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't have a problem with that kind of the summation in a TV show or movie.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: I just really, the science teacher is the one that's the drug dealer.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know why I didn't watch it.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like just that it's, you know, love itself would have been something to make you go you haven't done.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that makes a lot of sense of science teacher going into that.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a drafting teacher playing pool.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: they got to be great at pool they know they have every angle that's ultra-fd t-t angle they're all and that's all pool is his angles I'm just saying up next to show that I'm pretty sure you've never seen the hand-made tail
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's on Hulu.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: I did not see that.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a great one as well too.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_00]: You should watch that as well.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's how the whole tell me it's tail, which I'm sure for you did, and we don't need to go any further than that.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, completely filmed at a red line.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I bet it was, anyway, no more enough, that's it, billions, which is a great show from, I think it's show time.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: I heard of that.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's basically, it's a show about people who are like day traders and the way they go about their corporations and things and all that kind of stuff and they make a lot of money and then just like the way they hold the money for Thursdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays and Saturdays
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: do not say another way.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: Leave it alone.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: He was not insane elsewhere.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, while they got it start in a medical drama called ER.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: And now he's in another medical drama called the pit.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: And he's fabulous.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: He was fabulous.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: And he's fabulous in the art.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: And both of them are really great.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like the dramas.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: I love the art.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to ask you a question.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: The last couple of seasons were like towards the end of it.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: It got really good.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: It was really good.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't supposed to be, but there were a lot of comedic moments in it for sure.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: There are a lot of really unrealistic, oh no, I didn't say anything about it being realistic.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: I just said it was a great, I just said it was a great drama.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: He told me about it.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: I watched an episode.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: I watched the first time minutes, and I called him, I said, this is so stupid.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: I believe we've had this conversation because that would be what the maintenance guy in the duck.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_00]: And they said, well, the time of death, and then the guy falls through the ceiling onto the patient that they just declared dead and he comes back to life.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I went, really?
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: Good, my brother was like, this is most realistic medical.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, really?
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I didn't say anything about it being realistic.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: It was very realistic and like, well, a lot of people did at the time.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: But there were some very unrealistic.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: The guy following no doctor is that good looking.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's not true.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's not true.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very good looking doctors.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_00]: And most of my hair coming out of their nose in the ears.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't know, you must be going to some cut rate doctors.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what's going on there.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to clinic.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about the clinic.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, nobody's talking about the clinic.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's a different series.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: That actually part of the clinic will be a great part right there.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, all right, now that you just, but you changed, just gave the idea away to all of our audience.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: No, what do you write that down?

- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're entitled to your opinion.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm being nice.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm being nice.

- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: relevant.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: That was not a relevant because I'm giving you the opportunity to do something that you know to watch on them that you may actually want to watch.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: Then we'll pick a movie we could review again.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's been out for a little while.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like the retro-spective.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: What movie?

- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you liked them.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, he's okay in a few films But he's not like at the top of my list.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: He was really good.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you know Mark Walker needs to start to stay even though I don't think this was it No, it was him.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: He needs to stay marking mark in the funky bunch.

- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think if I remember correctly.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, I'm going to review death by lightning, which is that four part series on Netflix.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: How do that that's about?
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's about Grover Cleveland.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: No, crap.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: What is his name?
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: Grover from Sesame Street?
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's the 20th president of the United States of America.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and not the same guy that's on here now.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: He thinks he won everything.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_01]: James Garfield.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: So it's about James Garfield and the man that I love a lasagna.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: Would you stop it's about James Garfield and the man that assassinated him?
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: So they take their lives and parallel assassinated him.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God, you're fucking killing me.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, hey, be.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember his name, but it's irrelevant at this point, because... Odie?
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: Someone's already... No, Odie, kill the wrong guard field.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: Because somebody's already yelling at us through the radar going, It's blah blah blah!
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: Don't you know it blah blah blah!
- 40:28[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, it was an Odie.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: No, it wasn't Odie, but you know, now that you keep talking, I'm gonna... Charles Guto, Guto, first guy.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what they say, but he says he's from America, but anyway spoiler alert anyway So yeah, that's because that's by lightning.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's got a twenty twenty six Emmy nomination Wow, yeah, I mean Emmy nominee Do you have three of me nominations in my career?
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: Did you know that?
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have them or does the studio have the personal really Congratulations, but it's a it's a it's a thing to be to be
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: I like it to be nominated, so it was very nice to be nominated.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_00]: Well there you go.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah three documentaries that nobody watched.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well some people watched obviously because I got nominated.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: People in the documentary were all watched them.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody watched.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry when you say documentaries I just go.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, in that mind, you'd like mine.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: My or half hour documentaries that were really only half hour.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: I might actually enjoy this.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is a really good one.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: It was a pool wheel of fortune.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was one about making the truth.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: It was a month to play the documentaries that ABC, back when it was WLS.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: So once a month, we had four producers, we'd rotate.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: We each got to do.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I was called Wheel of Fortune.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: We each got to do one documentary every month.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then they pool wheel of fortune for it.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's huge.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: Pulling wheel.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's because they had to change the rotation.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, so I did one.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: They were taking you for a spin.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, this is how goofy it is.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: Did you guess a letter on one of them?
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: I wait.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: I get a documentary about John Drivers called Morning After Spel, MOU, our beautiful title.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I get the sheet for the rundown for the half hour.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: There are six commercials in a half hour show.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_00]: They used to be.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: Three of them were for Bud Light.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I went up to the sales department that had a, I said,
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 42:19[SPEAKER_00]: He goes, well, you're going to play Bud Light in a documentary that I produced about drunk driving, where we're talking to a mom, we lost her daughter, and a guy who was in his way home from his batch of party that night before his wedding, hit a little kid and his entire life change, and you're going to play beer commercials, are you crazy?
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: He said, you know what?
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: So they pulled the beer commercials, but that's not in there.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: But from that moment on, whenever I did a documentary, the first thing I did was call the sales department and say, hey, I'm doing a documentary.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Polish war veterans.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: Don't know about the commercials.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: What you want to, you know, you can place your commercials.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: And they appreciated that.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's good.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's good.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: Instead, they played earners in juvenile gallo commercials, right?
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: That was all they did.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: And it's in juvenile, but that's okay.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: How is that okay?
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: for Polish war veterans?
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, for the, for the drunk.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they didn't put that.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: No, I forgot what they put.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_01]: What they took was like a, who was it that we, we will sell no wine before it's time was that Ernest and Julian, okay, there we go.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, all right, we ran off on it.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: We went off on a tangent there folks.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, episode number, we do 40 showship because cheesy tangent.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: Because of you, anyway, all right.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: So episode 48, we're going to focus on science, our favorite science fiction TV shows of all time.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, good, good.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: We will review, um, Colummo again.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna review Colummo again.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: And science fiction.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: You can have so selling.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: So, Mr. Mac, you like guys with bald heads.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's really what it is.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that bald?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: Colummo?
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: Don't forget, I hope you're thinking to tell these of all of us.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: My God, you.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to talk about, talk about leaning someone.

- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Not everything.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_01]: No.
