- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: And what can I say?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's they're they're great sponsors of the crew show and you know, we think highly ballad brisket solid brisket.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a text and solid brisket.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_03]: Seriously, what is the key?
- 1:02[SPEAKER_03]: No, is there such a thing as Texas barbecue?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yes.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you know, there's Kansas city barbecue.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_03]: There's Texas barbecue.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_03]: What?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_03]: What is what how would you separate or how would you differentiate Texas barbecue is about to be a two-hour show Larry Come on man.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: I went to grad school a kids city group in Texas those are like my two loves man So Texas dry rub German brisket Slow cook that that's kind of the thing that they do slow smoke.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it is Kansas City all about that sauce burning ribs.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they got Both are incredible and to be honest with you.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: I prefer Kansas City, but man.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: I would
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: I would fight a baby for some Texas barbecue at any point right now.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be a very, very honest with you.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you start?
- 1:45[SPEAKER_03]: Is it brisket?
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: Is it ribs?
- 1:49[SPEAKER_03]: Is it chicken?
- 1:50[SPEAKER_03]: Is it, you know, a pulled pork?
- 1:53[SPEAKER_03]: What exactly is at the front of a line?
- 1:56[SPEAKER_03]: And when you go brisket, there's the marbled side.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_03]: And then there's the, what's the other word for it?
- 2:01[SPEAKER_03]: The lean, lean side.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, come on man, you've seen me.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: That, that, that, it, my jam.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: So brisket I think is the truest measure if you are a barbecue like it's the best of the best right it's the hardest to do But if you're in Kansas City, man, you go to Joe's Man on 90-fist street come on now.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's the best ribs probably in the country if I like they're incredible so
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: Texas brisket.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: If you're in Kansas City, you got to do the burn-ins just because they kind of started that but ribs and burn-ins in Kansas City, but yeah, man.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, you get me pumped, dude.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: There's a few things better than barbecue, 49ers footballs, one of them, but, you know, they're close.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: They're close.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, I wanted to promote this for our friend Damon Stainbrook.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a thing going on in Emoryville where one of his friends is going to be there doing a doing an event in Emoryville.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: And you guys should all check that out if you're in Emoryville tonight.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: I believe at Pig and a Pickle in Emoryville, they got an author there.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: who's going to just got a baseball book and he's going to be talking tonight at Emoryville.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: So I just got a picture.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my gosh, I just got a picture of a lot of the the chicken in the in the smoker.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my goodness.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: He just sent me a picture from the event.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_03]: So thanks to Pig and a pickle for me.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_03]: Those boxers of the crew show.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: We love barbecue and we love pig and a pickle.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_03]: So thanks to them.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_03]: Also, of course, the crew show is brought to you by our
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: America's number one sports picks up, price picks is super simple.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_03]: You just pick more or less on player stats or even game outcomes and build your lineup it's available in most states including California.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_03]: So if you haven't checked it out yet use code HMA when you play $5, you'll get $50 in lineups and it will happen instantly.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: And we will do a lineup here in a bit.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_03]: Alright before we get to that though.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: One of the, we want to start tonight with Jason Locke and Fora has linked the 49ers to AJ Brown.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_03]: He says the 49ers who at some point will part with AWOL receiver brand and I you have a very high payroll as it stands and their cap space has been an issue.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what he, what that means because they've got the most cap space in football, but even with Mike Evans, there could be, there.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_03]: their one, their one could make a case for Brown, especially with some of the recent injuries with some of their top pass catchers.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_03]: So he's floating, and we got it.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's a really poorly worded report there by Jason Lachenforra.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's consistent at least in his reports.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: That seems to come across all of them.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that is crazy.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm not, I'm not the warners, you know, you know, warners guide to proper English.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, that is just that doesn't seem right at all.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, AG Brown to the Niners, and I've read more about this.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I just gave you guys that, but there's talked that a lot of speculation that AG Brown's going to be traded from the Eagles to the Patriots.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_03]: But there's also speculation that maybe that is not a done deal.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: And that,
- 5:05[SPEAKER_03]: This article basically by a lock and for us says that they may want a player and a pick coming back for AJ Brown.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think?
- 5:15[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the Niners and Eagles got together, John Lynch and how he roseman did a deal for Bryce Huff.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_03]: Do the 40 Niners have a player that if combined with a draft choice, that would be and would would want, would make the Eagles want to
- 5:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like, we're, we're Nardo Green and a, and a, and a, and a 2027 draft choice for AJ Brown move the needle with a Ricky Pierce all and a 2027 draft choice move the needle.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, what, what do you think of this report?
- 5:51[SPEAKER_03]: Law confer is, is it rates pretty low overall?
- 5:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like,
- 6:04[SPEAKER_03]: is interesting.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: Age of Niners clearly clearly have made wide receiver.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_03]: the big deal, right?
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, look at the way that what was their biggest free agent, Mike Evans, what's their biggest draft choice to Sean Stremlin?
- 6:19[SPEAKER_03]: Both their biggest assets, they have spent on wide receivers.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_03]: So there is no doubt that as far as they're concerned, wide receiver was a problem.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_03]: And blocking at wide receiver also is considered a problem.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_03]: A.G. Brown is a big physical receiver.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Evans is a big physical receiver.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think?
- 6:40[SPEAKER_03]: Is it possible that the 49ers are not done yet?
- 6:44[SPEAKER_03]: Mayoco says that he thinks they could still make some moves.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_03]: AJ Brown to the Niners for a veteran in a pick.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_03]: Would you do it?
- 6:52[SPEAKER_03]: Should they do it?
- 6:53[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: AJ Brown's a stud.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like you have to start there.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if you could add playmakers at, you know, the third most valuable position now in the NFL, it goes quarterback edge wide receiver.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's the pecking order of premium positions with what they get paid.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's incredible.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is that you already addressed the X position, not once, but twice, you know, Mike Evans, the most X, Y receiver of all X, Y receivers.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then you'll get to Sean Shribbling.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be an X factor into that role as well.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: So is the are the 49ers better with AJ Brown?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that answer yes.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: you know, maybe I should try to influence on as he as he's speaking, let me see if I can influence John, there you bring it on, buddy, bring it on, and then you know, he's a stud dude.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_03]: And he's happy to be chasing him.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: We're in, we're in 11, he's a stud dude.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying, um,
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: and like I don't have a problem with the locker room issues whatever else I don't think that's ever really impacted his play on the field.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he is consistently a stud in this league and I think he's great.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: What's the what are the issues by the way?
- 8:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean can you I mean he reads on the sidelines.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_03]: I know he brought a book on the sidelines and they made a big deal about that in Philly.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_03]: But is there other issues besides that?
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like there's a Seriani AJ Brown
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: There's a seriani everybody problem.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: And so like there's a video where they're walking into the locker room after a win It's seriani's doing basically his coke fueled ranch or whatever the hell he does And you see AJ Brown just like rolling his eyes like what the hell's wrong with this guy like he's just a weird cat, man It's just what it is.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: So AJ's weird too
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think that anywhere he has been, anybody's had problems with what he does on the field.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like he is not, he should never be mentioned in the same breath as Brandon, I use one, he's a better player.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: They win in different ways.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is, I think that the,
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: The Patriots deal is basically going to be for a 2028 first rounder.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: How do you beat that?
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: Are you willing to pay more for that?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Do you believe that?
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_03]: I really think they would they would give a 28 first round pick for AJ Brown.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's got to be done.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, if anybody had the inside track on that whole thing, it's it's Diane recedian.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: She seemed pretty confident in it.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: So like, I'm going to trust her her sources.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you think she's got sources within the walls of the Patriots?
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: And just a little bit.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: Just a little bit.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: But like, and so can you beat that trade, right?
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Can you offer more?
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Does Renardo Green and a 2028 second?
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that that's more.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: So are you going to give a 2028 first?
- 9:41[SPEAKER_03]: Wait a second.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think that is more.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, you could have a, you could have what the Patriots are going to pick.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to be one of the better teams they have see they're going to pick.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say 25 to 32 in that range and you could have the nine or second round pick and Ronaldo Green who was the second round pick.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's, you know, they get, you know, like Renardo Green at this point.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: I still on the rookie deal as young as he is with a second round pick or is better than a two years, I mean, it's, it's not a bad trade, it's close, I mean, it's close.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: But man, if you get that first rounder from,
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: The NFL Covets first rounders in the Eagles do know and and I think that the Eagles would prefer to trade him to the AFC instead of a contender that just knocked them out of the playoffs.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: So like I think that there's something for that as well.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the 49ers are really in on this trade just because they have the redundancy with dribbling and Mike Evans and Jordan Watkins, you know, in the wings, they have three X wide receivers.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: So if you didn't land Evans, if you didn't draft dribbling, then yes.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this is a conversation that they would have to do, but I'll say that Jason Lawson for May have inside sources, he has none with the 49ers and has struck out swinging multiple times with any take that he has on the red and gold.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's interesting, and this time of year, yeah, we get entertained.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: Some of this stuff and it's fun.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see the 49ers even being involved in this conversation, but AJ Brown's a stud, and he makes all 32 teams better, no matter what team he goes to.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: It is definitely go time for the Niners.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I hit on this on the radio.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_03]: This is the go year for the regime.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, let's be honest about that.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I guess it's not like the team's going to disintegrate next year, the year after 20, the upcoming season.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_03]: But
- 11:37[SPEAKER_03]: Trent Williams ain't getting better and neither's Bosa and neither's Kittle and neither's McAfrey and neither's Greenlaw and neither's Lenore and neither's Warner.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_03]: Do you see what I'm going on this?
- 11:49[SPEAKER_03]: And Brock Pertis in his super prime and they just had two volume drafts and you brought in Rahim Morris to quarterback the defense and you got and he's really, really impressive.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, I got to just tell you very impressive, very impressive guy.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's go time for the regime.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_03]: They've got two volume drafts back to back.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_03]: You got Seattle just won the Super Bowl, the Rams are futsin' around with their future at quarterback.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's now.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: It is now.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: And it may be now or never for this current group.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying it's now or never for a lynch and shane hand, but it may be now or never for the rest of those, you know, leaders of this football team.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Evans was not a move that screams the future, it screams the present and I don't want to see them roll over 70 plus million dollars in a year where they got to go for it and so I want to see them spend some of that money.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to get into where I want them to spend it for first.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: We share the screen and look John Chapman JL Chapman if we go to this tweet is remember when the 49er schedule comes out tomorrow to come party with the 49er rush road trip.

- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: We have a good time.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, tickets are up right now.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: So we have a day before we won this little.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, here we go.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing it.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: 49ers rush road trip is going into 6th year with over 40 events at road gains.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: If you are traveling to see the 49ers play this year, you got to come party with us.

- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to build the 49ers community, you're traveling by yourself.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: We got you covered 49ers rushroatrip.com.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: nice.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: So pumps man.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the Niners are traveling way too much, but there's a bad ass cities.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's some great venues.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: Man, we're going to be having a great time.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: So 40 Niners Rush Road Trip.com.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: Go check it out.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now sites live.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: We may add a couple more games depending on how the schedule falls, but all of those cities 100% we're going to be at.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: Those tickets are up now for purchase day before and all inclusive tailgate is going to be a good time Larry.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it looks like a good time.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_03]: It definitely looks like a good time.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_03]: And we know you guys do it up and do it up big.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_03]: So everybody check out what John's got going.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: And once again, give the site, if people want to go check that out, Johnny, where is the best place to go?
- 15:14[SPEAKER_03]: 49ers rushroadtrip.com, 49ers rushroadtrip.com.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_03]: All right, the Niners have $71 million in Caproom and I know they want to roll it over, but the cap also goes up.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: So they want to roll it over because they're going to have cap short falls most likely in 27 and 28.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_03]: So I get that and there's an I understand why they want to roll it over.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_03]: I want them to spend some of that because I think as I just said, this is go time for the regime.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_03]: 40 new players 40 now I call Jordan lockins a new player.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_03]: I'm calling Jordan James a new player.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_03]: You know guys basically are on the team, but we just haven't done anything yet.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: Jacob Cowling is a new player.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_03]: There's 40 new players.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_03]: That's that's how many new put young players that they have on their draft either via trade draft or guys that they picked up in the last year that just haven't done anything they have 40 new players
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: They've got party in the prime, they've got all kinds of guys in what I would call the twilight of their prime.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_03]: And when you have that kind of structure, I think you've got to go for it.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: And I really believe they ought to spend some money.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I think they had to go after Joey Bosa.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_03]: And I looked into it, I did a video on it this week.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_03]: Joey Bosa would be better than what they got.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_03]: There's just no doubt in my mind.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_03]: He would be a better addition than what they have.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_03]: They need a guy who's versatile, they need a guy who can play a bunch of different spots.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_03]: They need somebody who could be a three-four run defender with this stand-up rusher if they want to go with three-four fronts.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_03]: They need somebody who can play a four-three defense event.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: They really, to me,
- 17:00[SPEAKER_03]: could use another body there.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: They're far deeper at defensive tackle than they are at defensive end.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to share the screen.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think they have to go for Joey Boe.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: So listen to what Mayoco, who is very piped in with the Niners.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_03]: I just think he knows things.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_03]: Here listen to what he said about this.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: I really think, you know, there is the possibility
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: any number of veteran players, but it has to be the right fit.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: It has to be the right price.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not sure at this point, if there's really any position other than one that I would still consider a need.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason I would consider this one position a need is because there's really not a whole lot of room for error and I'm talking specifically about edge russia.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're fine when it comes to just kind of the meat and potatoes defensive linemen that they have, you know, I would consider Michael Williams, one of those players, you know, out of that Eric armstead mold where.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: You set the edge and the run game on base downs.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: He move inside and rush the passer and nickel situations.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: So Mike Elweim's might be out for the first four games of the season.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, we have an indication as time goes on.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: The reports coming out of the rookie camp where that, you know, he looked like he's making good progress coming off the ACL injury that if he's staying in week nine of last season.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: But where I think the 49ers still have some question marks would be at just getting after the quarterback, and it's specifically the edge rusher is getting after the quarterback.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_03]: I really, so he's, he's going edge rusher there, and, you know, Leonard Floyd should devvy on clowny, but man, the guy, there's a bunch of guys out there, but man, Cam Jordan, Cam Jordan, who's love Cam Jordan, you know what to call, you know, so he's a Bay Area guy.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: But Joey Bosa just makes so much sense to me.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_03]: I really think Joey Bosa makes a lot of sense.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think you can play inside.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_03]: You can play outside.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_03]: You scheme, virtually smart.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_03]: You had 12 quarterback hits last year.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_03]: The Niners leader last year had six.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_03]: He had five force fumbles.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that alone is probably worth $10 million.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_03]: That kind of change of possession.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_03]: So that kind of, you change possession.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's a big play in a football game to do that five times in a game over the course of one single season.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_03]: That's that's pretty damn good.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm all for Mama Bosa, you know, having Joey and Nick on the same team.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think it would be good for Nick.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: I think Nick needs a new challenge anyway, and having his brother there who's also a technician.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_03]: He's a really smart football player.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_03]: One of the things that we don't talk about Nick Bosa, because he sounds kind of, he sounds kind of, you know, who?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: But you know, he or he's smart.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's a really smart football player.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's one of his best traits.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and Joey's a really smart football player.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_03]: So I, I, I would that's where I would that's I would be okay with Joey Bosa and Leonard Floyd, but I, my take away from training camp or from a rookie camp was that man, they got loaded defensive tackle room, but they may still be one.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_03]: address your shy.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_03]: If Nick and Michele were not coming off ACLs, if Keon White had not been shot in the ankle, maybe they'd be deep enough.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_03]: But with those factors factoring in,
- 20:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think they need more depth.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_03]: I think Joey Bosa, the price that you would pay for in the off season is a fraction of what you would pay for them.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_03]: I think if you try to get them in the middle of the year, you know what I mean?
- 21:02[SPEAKER_03]: The middle of the year, it's like, oh, God, we need this guy.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_03]: And then we got to trade picks, high picks, you know?
- 21:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's just money at this point and you got a lot of it.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: To me, I'm all about Joey.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think the 49ers really liked the approach of, okay, they built out their 90 man roster.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: And there are some intriguing guys getting snaps at the end position.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: And Michele Kamara, one of my favorite, you know, priority free agents, they brought in, Cam sample, they paid a decent penny to, like, they want to see what they have in house.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know what Joey Bosa is, you know what Joey Bosa brings.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: like there's not a lot of questions and and I feel like when the 49ers since the Shanahan regime is taken over and this even goes back to 2019, they want to see what their guys can do.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you get into the season or training camp and there's an entry or somebody's not up to par, that's whenever you bring in a safety off the street.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's whenever you bring in, you know, an edge rusher off the street.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's whenever you trade for somebody, you know, for the trade deadline.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: And all this salary cap space gives them room to do that.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: Now they don't always last year through trade deadline, it was pretty much crickets.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: Well, were they really making a title push with all those injuries?
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: Turns out, no, they were not.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: And they kind of knew that, they were smart, not to do so.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that there's room where Joey Bosa could definitely help this team.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Cam Jordan's one of my favorite football players of all time.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's who I want, but Bosa's skill set is much more in tune with the Niners need.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: But I think they want to see how the guys progress in-house.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think they want to wait and see just a little bit with what they have before they sign.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_03]: I hear you.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_03]: I hear you.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_03]: I, you know, I, Ramello Hight is really light and he's a great speed rusher.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just not sure exactly where this is gonna be.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_03]: You know, where this is gonna go.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_03]: You know, how, do they have enough?
- 23:02[SPEAKER_03]: They may,
- 23:04[SPEAKER_03]: You know, let's just say this.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_03]: Joey, Nick Boses had a lot of entries.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_03]: And if they lose Nick Bosa, they're really not in any better spot than they were last year.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_03]: And I could see it being another rough year for their defense, especially their young DBs.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: If they can't put some past rush up front, you know, I think that's that's a big part of it.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's let's move on to the next topic.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: Um, one of the big stories of the week is this whole back and forth going on between Jai and Brown and Dante Whittner.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_03]: And um, everybody's got different thoughts on it.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_03]: Whittner, I guess, is, uh, Brown, I guess is clap back.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_03]: on Instagram.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: And he's got a codec black project blue.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_03]: You ain't never seen your dog squeal.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_03]: All this stuff.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_03]: Do I even dare to ask you to make sense of it?
- 24:06[SPEAKER_03]: and then we'll see what you think of this.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk a little bit about this.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: Dear Lord, this is going to get good.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, this should be very good.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: All right, here we go.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: Let me see.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, many moments.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have to bring it.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: All right, there we go.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_03]: We'll bring it out again.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_03]: But here it is, basically.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: Jaiar Brown.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: That's a mess, man.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, what a mess.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_03]: And then for those who missed it, Dante Whitner doubled down on his rip of Jair Brown and said, hey, look, man, he came at me.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, this thing, I got a lot of thoughts on this thing, you know, and I don't particularly, I think Dante went a little too far.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_03]: I understand why people are frustrated with child care Brown, but, you know, the child care Brown story is still like in the early stages.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_03]: This is year three, and it's like, you know, Dante winner was a good player, okay?
- 25:08[SPEAKER_03]: Don't, don't get me wrong, Dante, Dante winner was a better player than child care Brown, okay?
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: But you're also talking about a guy and I looked at their numbers.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Dante Whitner didn't contribute to winning in Buffalo.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_03]: They went 7 and 9.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_03]: They went 7 and 9.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_03]: They went 7 and 9.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: They went 6 and 10.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_03]: They went 4 and 12.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't win, okay?
- 25:33[SPEAKER_03]: So it wasn't like he was on some winning team early in his career.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_03]: And then if you look at the first three years of Dante's career, he had two picks.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_03]: Jair Brown's got five.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so yes, Dante would become a pro-border in his seventh year and then in his ninth year.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_03]: And I get it.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: He's, you know, he, he's, Jair Brown struggling.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I'm not saying he's a perfect player, but Jair Brown was the defensive MVP of the Penn State Nittany Lions.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and this is, it's not like this guy's just been crap.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: 49 games in three years.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a higher interception rate than, then, then,
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: then Dante Whitner and he's got a super ball and picked off my homes in a super ball.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: He's got an interception of Patrick Mahomes in a super ball.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_03]: So let's not pretend that this guy's just total garbage.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the other thing.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_03]: Who helps the safety's the most?
- 26:33[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's the past rush.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_03]: If you get past rush, then guys throw the ball before they want to.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_03]: If guys throw the ball before they want to, some safety is lurking, and he picks it off.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know, I think Dante went too far.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: I think Jaiya Brown sought out Dante Whitner and Whitner then just spilled that publicly.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and made Brown look really bad and a lot of nine of fans are judging this so much about what's what their most recent thoughts are on Jai or Brown and there's so many nine of fans were he's trash man.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_03]: He's trash and it's like
- 27:10[SPEAKER_03]: Really, is that where you're at?
- 27:11[SPEAKER_03]: Is that where we're at?
- 27:12[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's no nuance at all.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_03]: If I had great cocellen here talking about him, I just saw a video late in the year where cocellen was like, hey, yeah, he's a really good football player who's got some really great traits.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I realize he hasn't been a really good productive consistent football player and he sounds a little delusional about his his overall worth and he'll figure that out when it's time to get paid where he's flat where he stacks and this thing, but here's the bottom line on this thing.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: all these people are upset.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: Because a young defensive back is over-confident.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_03]: Really?
- 27:49[SPEAKER_03]: That's what you're mad at.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, I scouted football players.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's what you want.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_03]: You want over-confident defensive backs.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_03]: I want guys who think their shit don't stink.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_03]: I want guys who think that bring it on.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm the baddest mother.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_03]: There is.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_03]: I want guys who have tons of confidence.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care if it's delusional.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'd rather have delusional, awesome confidence than some
- 28:11[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, man.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if I can hang with anybody.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if I'm good enough.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just, yeah, I'm self reflective, but I don't know.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I want that confidence.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, does he have too much confidence for the way he's played?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_03]: Sure, but I mean.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_03]: You know, there's two topics here.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_03]: There's the, how is Jair Brown playing and he's not playing great, but he's also a third year player who's had a shitty defensive line in front of him, who can't rush the passer 20 sacks is fucking sucks.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, this just in, 20 sacks is six less than the jets.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_03]: That's 30 second Malig, that's the worst in football.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_03]: That's one of the worst sack totals in the history of the 49ers.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_03]: So guess what?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_03]: All these DBs back there are better than their stats.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_03]: Stout's better, La Nore's better, Giaires better, Mustafa's better.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_03]: They're all better than their stats.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_03]: So tell me about stats, talking about this guy.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_03]: Has he gotten it done yet?
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: Is he a premier guy?
- 29:12[SPEAKER_03]: No, but he's been four years in the three years in the league.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: This is his fourth year He's had four different coordinators.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: That's not an easy thing to do.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_03]: He's also played big and some big games including the Super Bowl So I kind of thought like he was one of the only guys that played big in that in that Seattle game at times.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he had a couple big hits in that game
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: this guy is big and physical and strong and athletic and talented and it's like people want to just throw this guy out because he's struggled with no past rush and in playing out of position, he's more of an up on the line of scrimmage kind of a play or he struggles more in coverage.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying he's a superstar, but man.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Dante Whittner wasn't on a winning football team until he came to the Niners, and his first three years in the league, his teams were not winning, and he had two picks.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_03]: This guy's first three years in the league.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_03]: He's got two 12 and five season.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a pick of my homes in the Super Bowl.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a better interception, right?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_03]: He's got five picks.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know, man.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like, yeah, you can go daunting knows, daunting knows.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's not about that.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's about, it's about a couple of things.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's about you're going to run the guy down for for clicks.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_03]: You know, there, there wasn't a game this weekend.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_03]: So what are we talking about?
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's like this guy got burned for a touchdown last week.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_03]: And we can't help but talk about it.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_03]: There's no reason at all to bring this up.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'll say this.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_03]: I mean,
- 30:47[SPEAKER_03]: you know, this could look really bad because we're he more so damn good defense a back coach and this is a young guy who's smart and tough.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: I'm telling you man, I'm not saying that I'm like, I'm, hey, I'm, you know, Tigg is those my favorite nine or whatever, but you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you
- 31:07[SPEAKER_03]: I see the struggles like all of you, but I just don't, I just haven't signed off on him like he can't do it, you know?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_03]: I've, I've more signed off on Prendel as a run blocker than I've signed off on Shiree Brown as a safety and, and people like Prendel as a, you know, people like Prendel and think he's a good past protector and a good run blocker.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see him, I mean, if he was a really good run blocker, would they have run on fourth and one?
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like right there.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't think he's moving by her Murphy or Leonard Williams anytime soon.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_03]: So that's a major concern.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_03]: I got a bigger concern about the Niners interior offensive line, the ability to handle the strength of Seattle D line than I have in Mustafa, Seigo, and Brown.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_03]: and what they have at safety.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_03]: That's just me.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_03]: Dante's totally entitled to do whatever he wants and say whatever he wants.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's not about what he knows.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's about betraying a trust.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody came to you and you betrayed that trust.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_03]: Now, maybe it was worth it.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: I guess we'll find out if the grit code becomes some hot podcast, maybe it was all worth it.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: But to me it's like are you there to not like what do you want to be you want to be some harsh critic in the peanut gallery with your podcast or do you want to be a trusted agent of the organization and of the players and it sounds like he wants to just he's all in on the podcast, but he's also kind of put in will listen to tough spot because will support of the organization and he's sitting right on that podcast next to him.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: My guess is, you know, and Dante's, Dante's is one of my favorites as far as I'm not running Dante down.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_03]: Dante was one of my favorites.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: I went to him all the time in post game locker rooms, him and Boone were the go-to guys in the Harbao era.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: I just think that
- 32:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just noticing that he has fractured this relationship with the Niners and which I year and it's not going to be un fractured and all I would say is I hope it's worth it for the grit code really you're doing all that for the grit code for a podcast that you know I mean maybe it's a good podcast I haven't seen it but
- 33:21[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's not making a lot of money and he's not coming on you.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_03]: So you're crushing this guy for views on a podcast that's not making a lot of money.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: You're ruining a relationship with a team that you played for.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, don't think that he's he's persona non grata.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_03]: There's no question.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's not invited.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and then you got guys like Mustafa and the other players of course they're going to back their guy.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_03]: I like that.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_03]: I like that.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's two things.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's like did he did he, is he right?
- 33:50[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, of Jair Brown struggled and has definitely not played up to his potential and definitely needs to get better.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_03]: So if you just want to isolate it and say, that's it.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: But there's a bigger issue here in that he went, he betrayed a trust and he fractured the relationship.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_03]: And what do I care about that?
- 34:09[SPEAKER_03]: But at least I'm noticing that.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_03]: Give me, give me your thought on it.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know what, you know, I don't know what TIG is saying here, you know, as far as his clap-back at Dante, but whatever.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's it's a mess man because you look at what Jair Brown did is Ricky here with Steve Wilkes was the DC one of the best DB coaches in the NFL and has been for decades.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: He was incredible as a rookie.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: You talked about the interception, the Super Bowl.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: It was like holy cow.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: This guy is somebody that you build around.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: He's taken steps back back to back years.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: Give up the most touchdowns and coverage last year of an E 49ers player.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: He had one of the highest missed tackle rates and my
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's just consistency, whether it's coverage or support in the ranking.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see that.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's the worst tackler that the 49ers have on the defense as a whole.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_03]: He's not a rapper, he's more of a, he's more of a hit.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_00]: He looks at the ground when he hits a lot of times.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: He'll throw a shoulder.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't bring his arms.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: But the talent is there.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: And the 49ers are betting on Jerry Gray, new DB coach, you know, freaking hook them baby, one of the best ever to do it, college and NFL level.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_00]: Can you return that play that you saw from Gyer his rookie year whenever you had quality DB coaching?
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they're betting on.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think that this team is still really high on Marquis Seagull.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: And so no doubt I wish they would draft to the safety I really really do but this front office does not value the safety position at all like John Lynch could get up there and make a joke about how safety is a premium position and laugh and all that's a they just don't address safety at all and you go back to when they added to Sean Gibson that was a week before the season they signed him off the street.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: So for some reason, you're not seeing the progressing because Jair Brown is one of the worst players that training camp last year.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: You were there consistently terrible.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: Can he turn it around?
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Is this enough fire?
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: I hope so.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I like that the players are coming to bat for him.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not out on Jair, but the consistency's just not there.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_00]: If for him to say he's a probable level guy, I like the confidence.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's back to back really bad years of play.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: Consistently, bad years of play.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, it's weird.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_03]: People have, you know, Jaiya Brown has an interception in the Super Bowl.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_03]: And people are like, he sucks.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: Pierce Hall has played 14 games and played what played 20 games in Miss 14.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: and people are like, he's awesome, I don't get it, I don't get it, whatever.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, one other topic here that I want to hit before we take a quick time out for a little
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: a big day today, talked a little bit about the Bosa thing.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_03]: But then he also had another video here.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_03]: And this one is maybe the more newsworthy item.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_03]: We probably could have started the pot.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_03]: We could probably could have titled the stream tonight around this.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: I'll share the screen and we'll play this little video.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_03]: This little ditty from Mayoco.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_03]: This is Mac Jones, maybe here a while.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_03]: And this is an interesting take and I'm one that I'm really excited about.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_03]: Mayo, go on.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_03]: Matt Jones.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_03]: Be better.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_03]: You could hear Mayo.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_03]: Go.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: Took down the the music on the Jair Brown video and there it is.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: Take to Matt Mayo, although I must say I'm not 100% convinced that.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Mac Jones will be signing somewhere else at the end of this season.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's remains a decent chance that Mac Jones is back with the 49ers.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of a long-term back-up player because I'm not totally convinced that a team would be willing to pay him Starter's money even in
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like there wasn't much discussion at all as far as trading and there will be teams.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, that will be looking for quarterbacks a year from now, whether in the draft where it's supposed to be.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: At least the early thought is that it will be a better draft for quarterbacks next year.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: And teams might be looking for that placeholder kind of guy that Kirk dozens type of player who can fit in, be a starter if needed while a team drafts a guy to eventually take over.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's really, it's an interesting idea.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_03]: Basically, I think it has been kind of a foregone conclusion that at the end of the 2026 campaign, that Mac Jones is going to write off into the sunset.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_03]: And the 49ers will get some kind of compensatory selection in the 27 draft or reflect that departure.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_03]: But that he's taken off.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be this is it.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_03]: I've heard a lot of people say definitively.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_03]: This is Mac Jones's final year with the 49ers.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to throw out a name.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_03]: Don Stroke.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_03]: Remember, Don Stroke?
- 39:41[SPEAKER_03]: Don Stroke was Dan Marina's backup.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_03]: But he wasn't Dan Marina's backup for a day.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_03]: He was like, Dan Marina's backup for like life, right?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, guys, I remember that then it's like that you had one starry at a backup and the backup like was stayed as your backup.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_03]: unique in today's NFL to have this have a backup that like sticks around.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_03]: And the Niners also have Curtis work.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to talk about him for a second at some point.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_03]: And also Adrian Martinez, who they also like, and they picked him up now two times.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's on a second stand.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_03]: But what do you think of a concept of that?
- 40:15[SPEAKER_03]: When I watch Mac Jones John, I feel like I'm, I feel like it sounds corny, okay?
- 40:21[SPEAKER_03]: But it feels like Mac Jones is meant to play
- 40:28[SPEAKER_03]: And, but I don't know, I also kind of feel like Mac Jones has a higher calling than to be Brock Perti's caddy for the rest of his life.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I think Mac Jones could win a Super Bowl.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a believer of that.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_03]: I saw a list of quarterback rankings earlier this week, and I thought to myself as I'm looking at this list, Mac Jones is better than everybody, like between 20 and 32.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Mac Jones is better than an easily 10 quarterbacks that are starting in the NFL right freaking now.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_03]: I think they're other of Mac Jones and several of these guys.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_03]: So, so there you go, I mean, is it possible?
- 41:06[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a cap?
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: You know, somehow gymnastics that could happen, that could make it where Max a winner and the Niners are winners, and he's not here for two years, but here for seven years, something like that, five years.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think I've never, what he did last year, I've never seen anybody do.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_03]: He asserted leadership on a team that already had a young leader
- 41:38[SPEAKER_03]: threatening the leader at all.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's all.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_03]: And yet, everybody was all in on him from the coaches to the fans to the, that was the smoothest quarterback thing I'd almost ever seen.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_03]: It was amazing.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody loved him.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_03]: The media loved him.
- 41:55[UNKNOWN]: The
- 41:55[SPEAKER_03]: other players in the room love them when he walks in the room.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's like Elvis is entered the building dude.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's like he's a crack up.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_03]: He is legitimately when you see Mac Jones, you can't help but smile.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_03]: I love the guy.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_03]: I seriously love talking to the guy.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: He's I love watching and play.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_03]: He's deadly accurate.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_03]: he processes what he sees.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_03]: He sounds kind of like a doofus.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, Mac.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_03]: But you know what?
- 42:22[SPEAKER_03]: He's smart as hell.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_03]: He's football genius.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_03]: He's right there with Brock Perti.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_03]: He's really, really smart.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_03]: He makes good decisions.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a Mac Jones fan.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: I love Brock Perti.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_03]: Every knows that.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_03]: I, but if Brock Perti wasn't the niner's quarterback,
- 42:39[SPEAKER_03]: I could have a bunch of different guys around the league.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_03]: I'd probably take Matt Jones.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like Matt Jones.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_03]: I believe in Matt Jones.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_03]: I think they can win with Matt Jones if they had the bad good enough talent around him.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_03]: I want him to stick around long term.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_03]: I hope Mayo goes right.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think of the report?
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you look at Matt.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's making three and a half million dollars a year right now.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's his average salary.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: The highest paid back up in the NFL that's not on a rookie contract is Davis Mills at seven million per year.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: You look at what Malik Willis just got in $22 million per year.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think there are several teams that would prefer Matt Jones to Malik Willis.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the sea leans not there with the mobility and the arm strength and all that stuff.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_00]: But it would take Matt Jones leaving a lot of money on the table.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: to sign long-term here.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think Kyle Shanahan would love it.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: You heard rumors all off season about trading Macchones, trading Macchones.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_00]: But Kyle said if we don't get a first, we're not even entering into that conversation.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: So how much money would Macchones be willing to leave on the table?
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man, somebody's gonna offer him 15 to 20 billion.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's say this is a guy that knows his role.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's not gonna overstep a rookie quarterback that if they draft them as that bridge guy.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_00]: I love the idea.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see it in today's NFL cap structure.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_03]: man, I wish it could happen.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_03]: I wish it could happen.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: Um, who are you intrigued by when looking at some of the highlights from mini camp, uh, from rookie mini camp?
- 44:16[SPEAKER_03]: Is there any, um, either story or clip or anything that you saw that you, that makes you go, hey, you know what?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait to see this guy.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I liked, I liked the untrafted free agent Kamara.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like I really thought Mikael Kamara, you know, back to this in position.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he was, I had a six round grade on him.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: The nighter's got him as a priority free agent.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody that fits kind of.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's not that ultimate speed guy that they need, um, but, you know, your hope in Romelo goes into that and the burst there is incredible.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_00]: But it's, it's D-line.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_00]: That was the first position I ever coach.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: So like I have a little biased, obviously, I always want to see, you know, how the guys come out of their stance and what that looks like and all that, it, it, it, it, McKayel Kumar, like that is a guy that I just really, really want to see what he can do because I think there's room there, right?
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: they want to see what they have in house.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: And this 2026 49ers roster is way more competitive than anything we have seen in the past two seasons for the 49ers.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be damn hard to make the 53 man roster Larry.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: Good players are going to get cut.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_00]: People are going to be pissed.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever that cut rose.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: Last year we knew the 53 man roster by this point.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: There was really nothing
- 45:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be murderers row out there, man, who's your, who's your starter at left card?
- 45:42[SPEAKER_03]: Are we at Boone?
- 45:42[SPEAKER_03]: Robert Cohen and I, we got into this, I said Robert Jones, Boone said Connor Colby, I think grant my agreed with him, Connor Colby, um, I think Robert Jones, but only because of scouting buddy, mine has said to me, do Robert Jones, if the next right, and this guy says he thinks
- 46:06[SPEAKER_03]: three hundred twenty five pounds long arms.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: He thought that was one of the more underrated line of scrimmage pickups that any team had was Robert Jones to the Niners if the neck is all right.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think they paid him.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: He got paid twice the guarantee to twice the structure they gave bid bars last year to start.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think Carter Colby having those seven games experiences huge.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: He fits.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: Carver Willis, I understand why the Niners took him.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: He is raw, and that past protection is a problem.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_00]: But the run game, like you see it, and it's like, oh, hell yeah.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's going to take a little while to transition down.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think Carver Willis, and I can be wrong here.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: We got to see how he transit.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's never played inside.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: So not only is he transitioning, but he has to develop past pro anchor.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_00]: way Spender gets it probably plays way too high.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot there.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think eventually they wanted to be Carver Willis, but I bet Robert Jones if he's healthy.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody hit like and subscribe.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_03]: We're 47 minutes in.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_03]: We're only going to go for another 10 minutes or so.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_03]: But we are going to do our prize picks line up and we're going to do it right here.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_03]: The crew show brought to you by prize picks.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_03]: We'll move Johnny and I in the corner.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_03]: and nobody puts John Chapman in the corner.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_03]: We'll move prize picks in there.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll also come over here and change the format.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_03]: So you guys can see the advertisement, the whole deal.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's just very, very professional here on the crude show.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: If I could find it, it would even be better.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_02]: There we go.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, look at that.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_03]: Prize picks.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_02]: I see.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_03]: Look at that.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to go with NFL futures and there's a bunch of them here.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_03]: Myos Garrett Pookin to Kooa, Jackson Smith, Najigba, Jack Prescott.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_03]: I can also type in 49ers.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_03]: If you want to see some 49er props on the season.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, I am the biggest underbedder ever on season totals.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like in win totals.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like like the dinosaur stats for even these stats.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: I almost whoever is the highest, I take the yunders.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, just because you don't know with injuries, suspicions, whatever, you just never know.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why I'm just really, really big.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an underbedder on season long stuff, pretty consistently.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just throwing that out there right now, Larry.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just letting you know my bias.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: I hear you.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_03]: I know I think it's smart, and here's why, because these numbers are projected on a full season.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: injury factor is like a hundred percent so i'll say this one i love this one under Derek Henry under twelve seventy four point five rush yards um i just think that you know there's gonna be more of a shared backfield going forward he's an older player he's going to get more injuries he's he's a collision guy runs a lot of collisions i think those guys age poorly
- 49:07[SPEAKER_03]: I also think I like less on Drake May the Patriots played a very favorable schedule and didn't really get their come up and like the Niners until the playoffs and ultimately it was the Super Bowl for Drake May and I just think that he was a little bit of a magic carpet ride last year.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_03]: Now you don't have, you don't have Stefan Diggs.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if they're going to get AJ Brown and who knows how he plays.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to go less on Drake May.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_03]: is I like, uh, see, I like Ashton Gentie, you know, that's a nine word load.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_03]: No, that's a low nine fifty nine fifty point five rush yards.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's a thousand yard back.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_03]: Now I know there's I know there's other guys there.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_03]: They just drafted the Arkansas back, uh, who's got some talent for sure.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_03]: But I still think genties going to have their their improved offensive line.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's just the overall.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Raiders are going in the right direction.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_00]: He had nine seventy five last year and he was terrible and they didn't have a line or a quarterback.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, I'll try for him to go nine fifty one this year is hardly ridiculous.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_03]: So this will do.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: We'll put
- 50:18[SPEAKER_03]: but five dollars on it because I don't want to go through the cash too fast and we'll submit our lineup and take 30 seconds or so and then there it is and you can we've submitted the lineup and you can view the lineup by clicking this button we will we've got a three pick power play five dollars pays us 30 if we win we have Derek Henry 1274 rush yards or less
- 50:47[SPEAKER_03]: or less, Ashton Janties got a rush for 951 yards.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_03]: If they three things all happen, our $5 turns into 30, thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crude show and were big fans of prize picks.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_03]: great sponsor and we appreciate them.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_03]: We'll move this off the screen in a way we go.

- 52:28[SPEAKER_03]: So very cool very cool.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: All right
- 52:32[SPEAKER_03]: Breakout players, Matt Barrow's and Victafer had a list of their breakout players for this year.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_03]: And they are number one breakout player.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_03]: Did you see the article?
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: I did not know this because it's a short of James.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_03]: It was all there we go.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's all like a snippet of it.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_03]: So Jordan James is number one, then they have remote height number two to Sean struggling number three.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's draft heavy number four Connor Colby number five Carver will us number six Nick Martin number seven Klon black number eight Jacob Cowning number nine Jordan Watkins number 10 Jaden Dugger
- 53:09[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm really got to get your thoughts on Ham too, because he is so intriguing.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_03]: And when you look at that length and that speed, the 125 tackles at Louisiana this year, the fact that he looks like an edge rusher in the sub-package, he's got length for days, athleticism, he's young, all those, all that production at Louisiana with those traits, really impressive.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_03]: To me, he could be a boomer bus guy, but there's a bus potential too,
- 53:38[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but if I said to you, it's funny, the guy that I'm thinking of as the breakout player is not even in their top 10, which makes me wonder if maybe I'm wrong.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I'm doubting myself.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_03]: But you know, I, I'm going to stick with it.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_03]: Give me a breakout player and then I'll tell you who I'm thinking of.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_00]: My three that I would go with is Marky Seagull, I really believe in the kid, I really believe in the kid.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_03]: Four three out of it speed converted corner didn't have great metrics as a past defender last year, but I said they're terrible.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: he was always there.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_00]: He just didn't make plays like he was where he was supposed to be.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I'm a big marquee sequel guy.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go Jake Tonches.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think like this dude is going to get so much playing time.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_00]: He was a lead when Kiddler was out.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: I really want Shetta hand to find away to allow
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: Tonjus and kiddo to co-habitate whenever they're both healthy.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that could just add something to the 49er's offense and then I'm huge on Jordan James.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is going to have a great great year now.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's got to be a little bit of a downturn from Christian McAfrey just because he led the NFL touches.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's his third time doing that every single time he's done that in the past.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_00]: The following year did not go well I hope he bucks that trend, but I'm a big believer in Jordan James and you go back to that sea out I'll play off game, which was terrible.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_00]: The entire offense was basically two guys Brock Perti playing by himself in Jordan James and the limited touches he had I think those would be the three that come to mind for me that I'm just like man stock up on these guys
- 55:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to give you one that I'm really, really confident in, and I just really think that this is the right guy and the right time and for the right team, and I can't believe that they were able to get this guy, and I think they're going to catch lightning in a bottle.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think the one of the most underrated pickups for the 40 enters of this off season was signing Christian Kirk.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_03]: Christian Kirk had a great playoff game.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_03]: Christian Kirk played a Texas A&M.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_03]: We never had a good quarterback play.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_03]: Came into the league with Arizona.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_03]: His quarterback was Josh Rosen.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_03]: that he went to Jacksonville signed a big money deal.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_03]: He got very young Trevor Lawrence.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_03]: He has never played with a quarterback like Brock Perti, who can put it on your hands, who can throw it with a dissipation.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_03]: Or if you can separate, he can put it on your hands.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_03]: Down the field, you know, and Kirk, I think is going to be dynamic.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think he can help them as a return man.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's their best option in the return game.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_03]: But I think Christian Kirk's going to help them from scrimmage, and I would not be surprised if Christian Kirk has a much more significant role than anybody really believes.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_03]: I know there's been so much talk about scribbling, so much talk about Evans.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_03]: But Christian Kirk, I think, is going to be a player for the Niners.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_03]: I really do believe that.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_03]: you know, Pauling is a slot receiver, but he's got 42 inch vertical, 37 inch or 42 inch vertical, 43, 43, 47, 40.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_03]: So he's got good speed.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_03]: He scored six touchdowns last year.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_03]: And then he improved his ball skills.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_03]: He had a bunch of drops at Wisconsin.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_03]: Only had two last year at Notre Dame.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_03]: And he's got some downfield playmaking ability.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_03]: And he showed really nice movement ability.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_03]: Wesley Grimes is also moves really well.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, really well for a guy who has got good size and is kind of tough.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_03]: So those two receivers and those three receivers current.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be hard.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's a tough.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's wide receiver room.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the competition is going to be fierce.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be awesome.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to be beating out Jordan walk, it's Jacob Cowling, Burgeon, guys who have been around for a while.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: If one of those untrafted guys steps up and lays claim to that number six wide receiver spot, I'm telling you right now that maybe not for this year because it's so crowded.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: Gosh man, the competition this year all across this step chart, besides tight end and safety, it's pretty damn elite.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is a deep roster and that is fun going into training camp.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited about this layer because we're going to be going back and forth all these players for the next couple months and I'm excited.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_00]: When's day the new time slot?
- 58:17[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, it's a great story.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's going to be amazing.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_03]: Two more guys.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to give you this guy.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_03]: he needed to redo his body.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_03]: You know, sometimes this happens as well, right?
- 58:29[SPEAKER_03]: You get that guy and then he also needs to, he needs to, he needs to gain a step.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that was kind of like Brock Perti, he needed to gain a little arm strength.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_03]: He did.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_03]: And it was like taking Bethune, he needed to gain a step and rekind of do his body, he did and look, he had a 16 tackle game last year and he was faster and more instinctive and kind of flowed towards the ball better.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_03]: This year, you know, every year you see guys that kind of change their body, the one guy who was really noticeable with the mini campus Drake Nuget.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_03]: And I know people, they got bremble, they got they signed Brett Tooth, they have Nick Sekel, they've got Carver Willis, so I think it's probably going to be the long-term answer at the center.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_03]: I really do believe that, but Drake Nuget put on a
- 59:13[SPEAKER_03]: a lot of good upper body weight and he still looks really quick.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's smart.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_03]: He's tough.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_03]: If he starts moving people a little bit with, you know, using those arms a little bit, he looked a whole lot stronger.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_03]: He put on a lot of good weight and that's a pretty good football player who just needed to get stronger.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: So, um,
- 59:32[SPEAKER_03]: really excited about him.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think he, he, he's going to be a guy that is going to, I don't know if he's going to make the team, but he's going to, he's going to compete like crazy for that spot.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_03]: And then you're, you're guy, um, McCathe McCyle Kamara, you know what, it's funny.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_03]: When you draft awesome athletes, you expect to see at the mini camp like them really pop, because you're like, oh man, this guy's a freaky athlete.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_03]: And the freaky athlete guys do typically pop in OTAs and in this rookie mini camp setting.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_03]: McCoyle Kamara is not that, right?
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_03]: He's six feet.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_03]: He's 260.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody says he's two this.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's two that.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's two.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's arms are too short.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_03]: He's too short.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't have statuary.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't have that.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_03]: He's a million
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_03]: But then you remember he was damn good on Indiana and they won the National Championship and he blocked a punt and he's a special teams, Maven and he's an unbelievably quick guy and he's he has multiple speeds.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_03]: He's got like a speed for the 40 he's got a much faster speed when he's attacking the quarterback.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_03]: He looked quick and he looked explosive and he looked really comfortable.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_03]: He there was nothing about him John that where you were like Wow fish out of water.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_03]: This is a college athlete on an NFL field with NFL athletes.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_03]: He does not belong.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_03]: He absolutely did belong and that actually is huge because
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_03]: I thought there was a very good chance he would look like he didn't belong.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_03]: And then it's like, ah, well, you know what?
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_03]: He was good at NDN, but maybe he's just, that's where he tops out.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_00]: I remember filling that way about what's a Josh Williams, the running back, the first training camp.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_00]: He kept pushing other players ahead of them and drills because he did want to go, and I was just like, do this ain't it?
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, who's this little number 22 guy?
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh, it's Matt Breeda, who's Matt Breeda?
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, but yeah, you see it.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_00]: When they belong and I'm excited once the pads come on that helps out a lot, but yeah, you gain a lot from just getting an eye on these players and just seeing what it is the coaches response to the players is a fun draft class all at all the rookies.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a lot of reaches, but there's a lot of good fits to and a lot of damn good athletes.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_00]: So excited to see how it's going to pan out this year.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_03]: Brandon, I uke photographed with his cash and watches and stuff.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_03]: David Bocchiari went and said, hey, man, I'm concerned about this guy.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_03]: It looks like he's headed towards a fall.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't look good.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_03]: God, it really, it's just a makes you think, man, that money's going to dry up.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_03]: And then what's going to happen to you is body's broken.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_03]: It just seems, I don't know, man.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_03]: What did you think of that post?
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_00]: I hate it, man, you know, like obviously he's not going to ever contribute for the 49ers again and, you know, just as a former coach or just human being, you care about people.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, I get stuck in this man screw this guy, screw it over his team, he screwed over the fans, he screwed over everybody, and that's true, but yeah, once you get to this, this area, it's just man, you know, uh,
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_00]: what unites this is greater than what divides us and I just hope as a human being there's somebody in his life yeah TJ Hussmanzada is wide receiver coach is like yeah this guy you stay away from and so I just hope he gets some help you know but he's rich he can afford it
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: I know life's bigger than that, but hope the best for him.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, I hear you.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's hit a couple of these supers and we'll bolt.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: We got this one from Stefan Niners top to 2026 away games.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_03]: You recommend going to you.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and my kind of final thought on that as well.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_03]: What are you looking for tomorrow as far as the schedule release?
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: Outside of your traveling and that kind of thing.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_03]: Is there something that you're looking for?
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_00]: not back to back travel that that's a killer like that is hard as hell on the body and so you know just space in it out correctly especially those East Coast trips which you don't have a lot of them because got to international games uh but you know if you if you're asking by top two games to go to this here
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_00]: Dallas Cowboys got to be the largest event we've ever had.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_00]: I fully expect over 800 people being at, you know, we've written it out Texas live right in front of the stadium.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to be incredible.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then Betchoo Atlanta or Kansas City.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_00]: So wherever you're at, that would be number two.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_00]: Atlanta we've been there in the past and it's just such a good time.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_00]: That city's really good time.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_03]: You know what, I think I'm going to have to try to make my way to Atlanta.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_03]: My daughter lives in Atlanta.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_03]: My god, come on, yeah.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, she's going to school there.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I got a stadiums a good time.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_00]: I got to try to make a good job there.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully that Atlanta game is scheduling a time that's nice and convenient.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_03]: uh we got this one from what does it say Darrell Darrell says remember for 44 months what a good year thank you do give a little little clap um step in Niners says would you do dribbling and pierce all for AJ Brown no i don't get with but i would do Ronaldo or pierce all in a pic
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_03]: I can do that.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of wonder how they feel about those two guys.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_03]: Stephen Draper, Dinkens will surprise everyone, stud.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_00]: They need them.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_00]: That room is light.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_00]: That room is light.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_00]: It really is.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely is.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_03]: John, awesome stream.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'm loving our new spot.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'll give you the final word as we we both for the door.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_03]: One of the
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_03]: One of the articles I read today on Niners web zone was from Alex K. I was kind of a article that was linked from bleach report and he had one fatal flaw for every Super Bowl contender and the Niners fatal flaw again The offensive line is the offensive line their fatal flaw.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's rough whatever you
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_00]: the center point of your offense, which Jake Brindle is such a poor run blocker, and you have a run design scheme.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that they're gonna be very pass heavy.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_00]: You look at all the wide receivers they've added.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's gonna be a very pass centric offense this year, which I think it'd be fun.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see what Shanna Hank could do that.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that this roster, like this would be my final thought.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_00]: This team is built for now.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's the way you started the show and I agree.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's an old aging roster and you've been added more old aging players.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_00]: But it's a consistent roster.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_00]: And that is going to be the biggest difference between last year and this year.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_00]: We had so many young guys playing and it was boomer bust all the time.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_00]: If you can get some consistent play from a lot of these new additions, straight green love, Mike Evans.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: Kurt, I mean, you could just keep going.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_00]: Robert Jones.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, if you get some good consistent left guard play.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_00]: Watch out.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_00]: You were shoot a couple quarters away from being homefilled advantage throughout the playoffs last year with all those injuries without the depth.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_00]: this is a much better team.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_00]: There should be a lot of optimism if you're 49ers fan right now and you should be excited and man Larry I appreciate you and just you know bringing it all the freaking time and I'm learning throughout these shows and this is a fun off season you should be enjoying this you should be excited about the season coming up.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_03]: I am I absolutely am and I feel like
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see the 90's get aggressive, as I said, off the outside.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see that Nick post.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see maybe one more defensive back.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see maybe a veteran tight end to take some pressure off George.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to see that inherent sadness of George getting re-insured because he rushed back too fast.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't mind a little brother combination of like, hey, maybe I you for Luke McAfrey at the cut down, maybe Joey and Nick, you get the McAfrey brothers and the Bosa brothers, let's get this done.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get this done.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_03]: That's going to do it for tonight.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: Great stream.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks to Johnny.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm back tomorrow morning.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_03]: Got a busy day tomorrow, 8.50.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be on.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_03]: KMBR with Merff and Marcus talking Niners and schedule release 5 p.m. Damon Bruce and I are going to do a little schedule release live stream when it goes out and then 9 o'clock tomorrow night sterling Bennett and I from 95 7 the game are going to stream sterling is always good we missed a couple weeks but we're going to get back on the beam Friday chasing your will be in the house as well Saturday coaches going to stop by and we're fired up where we're
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_03]: We're getting, you know, this is the time of year when it gets from the draft.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_03]: If you can get from May to Camp, man, you really, the rest of the year is pretty easy.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_03]: But for guys like us, grind and look for stuff.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_03]: I know you, you don't put out, you don't just put out a bunch of garbage in these two months.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's more challenging to put out good content, but it's there.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's absolutely there, and that's our challenge to put out good content on a daily basis, and we will be up to the challenge.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_03]: Johnny, awesome stuff, man.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_03]: Have a great week.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk to you next week.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks to the rest of you guys.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_03]: Peace.
