- 0:59Speaker 4: It's good morning to you, my friend.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Good morning, welcome home to West Coast, West Coast soil. Yes,

- 1:13Speaker 3: Happy to see you too. I hope everybody had a
- 1:16Speaker 3: wonderful time for Thanksgiving. Uh you So you were in
- 1:20Speaker 3: New York for Thanksgiving?
- 1:22Speaker 5: I was, yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 6: I just flew back yesterday and evening, had a quick
- 1:27Speaker 6: Thanksgiving meal with my family and then went right to bed.
- 1:30Speaker 5: So I could be here this morning.
- 1:32Speaker 4: That's a diligent little person, right.
- 1:35Speaker 6: I'm committed, committed to focused. I really also just want
- 1:39Speaker 6: to make sure Amy can have a break.
- 1:41Speaker 5: I always feel so bad.
- 1:42Speaker 6: I'm like, I will do whatever I need to do
- 1:44Speaker 6: to make sure she can have a day off.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it really there it that's the system here right now.
- 1:50Speaker 3: There is not a whole lot padding. No bad, there's
- 1:54Speaker 3: no bench, Like, can you do this so I can breathe,
- 2:00Speaker 3: I can go potty.
- 2:00Speaker 6: I would have loved to have stayed in New York
- 2:02Speaker 6: a few more days, but nope, no deal, no dice.
- 2:05Speaker 7: Uh.
- 2:05Speaker 4: You know what.
- 2:06Speaker 3: One time I used to go to New York, probably
- 2:08Speaker 3: twice a year, and I had landed, gotten to my
- 2:16Speaker 3: brother's apartment in Manhattan, put my bags down, and got
- 2:21Speaker 3: a call from Robin, our old PD. There were fires.
- 2:25Speaker 3: It wasn't these you know ones in January. This was
- 2:28Speaker 3: some years back, big fires, and I had to jump.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Back on a plane.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Oh come home. Yeah, I've had a couple of vacations.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Like does your brother still live there?
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yeah, he's They've got a place here there and on
- 2:45Speaker 3: Cape cod Oh, I know right, well in the wrong field. Hello,
- 2:51Speaker 3: and those gay men man, you know, it just I
- 2:55Speaker 3: don't know what it is. It's the the setup they just.
- 3:01Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 3:02Speaker 5: They just they just know how to buy homes. I know.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I mean it's like, uh, I don't know.
- 3:08Speaker 3: It's not like it's a two income family and male
- 3:11Speaker 3: female or not two incomes.
- 3:13Speaker 4: It's just I don't know what it is.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It's harnessing the energy of your gayness, O god, your gaosity,
- 3:20Speaker 3: your folk.
- 3:21Speaker 4: I don't know what it is. And they pick cute
- 3:24Speaker 4: ass places too.
- 3:27Speaker 5: I don't think they're connected in that way. I don't.
- 3:29Speaker 4: I don't listen.
- 3:30Speaker 5: I don't think being.
- 3:31Speaker 6: Gay means you automatically know how to save money and
- 3:34Speaker 6: why buy and make it?
- 3:37Speaker 3: Okay, says you. I think science is still out, it
- 3:40Speaker 3: is what I'm saying.
- 3:41Speaker 6: The streets, also, single streets with no kids also are
- 3:44Speaker 6: able to save up money.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I think it's a kid. I think it's kids.
- 3:47Speaker 7: Oh yeah, right, science.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Wins out again.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Uh No, they're wonderful people and they and they the
- 4:00Speaker 3: all their places are great.
- 4:01Speaker 5: But that sounds really nice. Yeah, they all have different vibes.
- 4:05Speaker 5: And do you like New York for the holidays or
- 4:07Speaker 5: I do?
- 4:08Speaker 3: And I think a lot of the weather, and I
- 4:10Speaker 3: know you and Sam were talking about that it is special.
- 4:12Speaker 3: But here's the deal. We have everything they have, it's
- 4:15Speaker 3: just not in one place. That's the problem, right, It's
- 4:17Speaker 3: so spread out. So yes, you can walk around and
- 4:20Speaker 3: get to everything. Plus we don't do in downtown and
- 4:27Speaker 3: the like. They still have the windows for it, yeah,
- 4:30Speaker 3: but they don't use them the same way.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Now.
- 4:31Speaker 6: Downtown makes me sad. When I was walking through all
- 4:35Speaker 6: of the streets and seeing all of these beautiful storefronts,
- 4:38Speaker 6: and I was like, this looks like what downtown LA
- 4:42Speaker 6: could be. We have this, We have these kinds of buildings.
- 4:46Speaker 6: We have even cooler buildings, you know.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And they have horrible, horrible politics in California and Los
- 4:54Speaker 3: Angeles in particular.
- 4:56Speaker 4: It's sad.
- 4:56Speaker 5: It's so sad.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Not just a liberal Democrat thing versus. It's just it's
- 5:02Speaker 3: it's we're trying to be too much to too many.
- 5:05Speaker 6: It's also a destination like New York for the holidays
- 5:08Speaker 6: is a go People go to look at their their storefronts.
- 5:12Speaker 5: People go to look at what they used to.
- 5:14Speaker 3: My dad was a designer of for you know, bullets,
- 5:19Speaker 3: Wilshure and uh he did art there.
- 5:23Speaker 4: He for Sears.
- 5:24Speaker 3: He did display art, went back when you did those things,
- 5:28Speaker 3: and so I'm a big fan of it, you know.
- 5:32Speaker 3: And you go like Disneyland. We're at Disneyland the other
- 5:35Speaker 3: day and you go to Main Street and they have
- 5:37Speaker 3: the displays in the windows. Yeah, they have animatronics in
- 5:41Speaker 3: the windows. They have there is something magical about that.
- 5:44Speaker 3: But we have great ice skating rings here in two yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 3: Pershing Square.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 4: On LA Live.
- 5:51Speaker 6: It just it just feels weird when you're out there
- 5:53Speaker 6: and it's like seventy five degrees and you're like, I'm
- 5:55Speaker 6: ice skating.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Well, that's the biggest difference.
- 5:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Is the weather.
- 6:00Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I'll take LA all day, every day
- 6:02Speaker 6: over in New York. But they're definitely, especially around this
- 6:04Speaker 6: time of year. Some benefits and one thing, just a
- 6:07Speaker 6: little side note here. I love their public transportation. Oh
- 6:12Speaker 6: the fact that I literally could just pop on a
- 6:14Speaker 6: subway in and out everywhere and I'm there where I
- 6:16Speaker 6: need to be and not sitting in my car for
- 6:18Speaker 6: hours and hours.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Those two things alone, the weather and being able to
- 6:23Speaker 3: get placed. When we say here in LA i'd love
- 6:26Speaker 3: to get together. We mean it, we mean it, but
- 6:29Speaker 3: you don't want to deal with the parking, the driving,
- 6:33Speaker 3: the Yeah, but it's so many park restrictions. When I
- 6:36Speaker 3: visit friends in New York, it's like, hey, what are
- 6:38Speaker 3: you doing? You want to meet me here? Yeah, because
- 6:41Speaker 3: they know that one you can go have a cocktail
- 6:44Speaker 3: and not drive.
- 6:45Speaker 4: You can.
- 6:46Speaker 3: It's so those two things. Yeah, we absolutely pale in comparison.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Plus we're not centralized. You can go, you can go
- 6:54Speaker 3: to Manhattan and everything centralized it is.
- 6:58Speaker 6: I mean we saw you know, I planned everything. I'm
- 7:00Speaker 6: a big planner when I travel, So I planned everything
- 7:03Speaker 6: that we wanted to see that was sort of within
- 7:05Speaker 6: maybe a ten to fifteen minute either walk or short
- 7:08Speaker 6: subway right of each other each day. And it was
- 7:11Speaker 6: amazing all of the things we were able to see.
- 7:14Speaker 6: We almost had too much time. We're like, okay, now
- 7:17Speaker 6: we're done.
- 7:17Speaker 4: What do we do?
- 7:18Speaker 6: Because it was so easy to get on the subway,
- 7:20Speaker 6: so quick to walk a few blocks where we wanted
- 7:22Speaker 6: to go. And I will say, in terms of like safety,
- 7:25Speaker 6: people talk about New York and it's not safe. I
- 7:27Speaker 6: felt we felt very safe everywhere.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Well that's ignorance.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yeah, well.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, New York is no. I feel pretty safe.
- 7:38Speaker 3: When I'm in New York. I know my way around
- 7:40Speaker 3: New York pretty well. But yeah, and I have no
- 7:43Speaker 3: problem taking the subway anywhere by myself. But I'm a
- 7:47Speaker 3: two hundred and fifty five pound nobody's gonna mess with
- 7:50Speaker 3: Neil Well, you know, former martial artists, so for goatee. Yeah, yeah,
- 7:54Speaker 3: it's intimidating, it's uh, it's it just is. I'm a
- 8:01Speaker 3: little different about those things, however. Yeah, New York's got
- 8:05Speaker 3: its issues.
- 8:05Speaker 5: It definitely does. And you know, and we do do
- 8:08Speaker 5: to here.
- 8:09Speaker 4: We're a mess.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Don't even get me started about it here. I love
- 8:11Speaker 3: my city. I bleed Los Angeles. Yeah, yeah, we.
- 8:16Speaker 5: We we can't. We love being here. We love, but
- 8:19Speaker 5: we love.
- 8:19Speaker 6: It's like a nice little We went and we visited,
- 8:21Speaker 6: we did our thing, we had our our moment in
- 8:24Speaker 6: New York, and now it's just really nice to be home.
- 8:26Speaker 3: So yeah, but I agree with you, there is something
- 8:28Speaker 3: magical about New York and uh in this time of
- 8:32Speaker 3: the year, at this time of the year, a lot
- 8:34Speaker 3: of movies are set there. Yeah, yeah, and so, and
- 8:37Speaker 3: like I said, it's centralized.
- 8:38Speaker 4: We have big trees.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I mean, you go to the grove, you go to
- 8:41Speaker 3: the Americana. They're gorgeous. They have windows placed, they have
- 8:45Speaker 3: it's just not centralized.
- 8:47Speaker 5: It's we're just so spread out here.
- 8:48Speaker 6: And by the way, a lot of the calls that
- 8:50Speaker 6: you miss from people were calling in they are all working.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Everybody is working. They're like, we're working, just like you are.
- 8:56Speaker 6: On the way to work listening to cafe. I so
- 8:58Speaker 6: like Candle, not like that guy or Amy King. No, yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 6: I know kono jerks.
- 9:05Speaker 3: All right, let's start handle on the news, shall we
- 9:09Speaker 3: with Heather Brooker and me lead story.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Oh god, this broke my heart. I saw the news
- 9:17Speaker 4: yesterday and.
- 9:21Speaker 3: President Donald Trump course was the one that broke the
- 9:23Speaker 3: news yesterday on Thanksgiving, US Army specialist Sarah Beckstrom, one
- 9:28Speaker 3: of the two West Virginia National Guard members wounded in
- 9:32Speaker 3: that now known to be targeted shooting near the White House,
- 9:37Speaker 3: on Wednesday, that she has died. Trump called her highly respected, young,
- 9:43Speaker 3: magnificent person. Your social media feeds were probably plastered with
- 9:50Speaker 3: her kind face yesterday, And the only thing we don't
- 9:56Speaker 3: know is how this what the repercussions of this are
- 10:02Speaker 3: truly going to be. The other wounded National Guard member,
- 10:05Speaker 3: Andrew Wolf twenty four still in critical condition hanging on there.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Of course, we found out that it was a three
- 10:13Speaker 3: point fifty seven revolver that was used, and if you
- 10:17Speaker 3: know anything about guns, it is a very simple but
- 10:25Speaker 3: effective weapon and the rounds are just confidess but very sad.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Story sounds like a complete ambush. And as we find
- 10:41Speaker 3: out more about the wingnut that did this, we'll learn.
- 10:45Speaker 3: I mean, ultimately, something's mentally wrong when you get to
- 10:49Speaker 3: a state like this. So I'm a big, big, big
- 10:57Speaker 3: on defining things properly. Like you know, if somebody says
- 11:01Speaker 3: Islamic terrorist, the thing that you should be afraid of
- 11:05Speaker 3: is the terrorist part, not the Islamic part. Right, Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 3: So these things if somebody is pushed mentally to something
- 11:13Speaker 3: or to make a statement or whatever, yes, every part
- 11:17Speaker 3: of that person plays a part of it. But I'm
- 11:20Speaker 3: kind of looking to see what sense or what ties
- 11:25Speaker 3: to the mental imbalance and all of that stuff.
- 11:28Speaker 6: I mean, you look more why when something like this happens.
- 11:30Speaker 6: Everyone wants to know why, and we often don't ever
- 11:33Speaker 6: truly find out.
- 11:35Speaker 3: No, I mean, we know that he's a twenty nine
- 11:37Speaker 3: year old Afghan national lived in Washington State and made
- 11:44Speaker 3: the drive all the way over there, came to the
- 11:48Speaker 3: US in twenty twenty one, and we'll continue to find
- 11:51Speaker 3: out more. I mean, you'd be hard pressed to say
- 11:53Speaker 3: it doesn't play a part in this, but I am
- 11:58Speaker 3: curious to see how this goes. Obviously it's gonna the
- 12:01Speaker 3: country's going to be on lockdown a bit, and I
- 12:04Speaker 3: would not want to be somebody from Afghanistan right now
- 12:08Speaker 3: with the national setup that we have here. Yeah, all right,
- 12:11Speaker 3: we'll come back and have some more of handle on
- 12:14Speaker 3: the news. Neil Savagri in the morning crew here with
- 12:17Speaker 3: you this morning. Happy Black Friday to you. If you're
- 12:19Speaker 3: up and out there being all crazy, I want to
- 12:22Speaker 3: know what you're getting, Like what would what would make
- 12:25Speaker 3: me get up and run out?
- 12:26Speaker 4: And would it be a TV.
- 12:28Speaker 6: I mean I always you always se people getting their
- 12:30Speaker 6: TV deals and I'm like.
- 12:31Speaker 3: How many teams are so greatly priced now?
- 12:34Speaker 7: So yeah, yeah, right, you could get a big one.
- 12:37Speaker 7: Yeah all right, so stick around.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I mean, we know that he's a twenty nine year
- 12:42Speaker 3: old Afghan national, lived in Washington State and made the
- 12:49Speaker 3: drive all the way over there, came to the US
- 12:52Speaker 3: in twenty twenty one, and we'll continue to find out more.
- 12:56Speaker 3: I mean, you'd be hard pressed to say it doesn't
- 12:58Speaker 3: play a part in there. But I am curious to
- 13:03Speaker 3: see how this goes. Obviously it's gonna the country is
- 13:06Speaker 3: going to be on lockdown a bit, and I would
- 13:08Speaker 3: not want to be somebody from Afghanistan right now with
- 13:13Speaker 3: the national setup that we have here. Yeah, all right,
- 13:16Speaker 3: we'll come back and have some more of handle on
- 13:19Speaker 3: the news. Neil Savador in the Morning crew here with
- 13:21Speaker 3: you this morning. Happy Black Friday to you. If you're
- 13:24Speaker 3: up and out there being all crazy, I want to
- 13:26Speaker 3: know what you're getting, Like, what would what would make
- 13:30Speaker 3: me get up and run out? And would it be
- 13:31Speaker 3: a TV?
- 13:33Speaker 6: I mean I always you always se people getting their
- 13:34Speaker 6: TV deals and I'm like, how many.
- 13:37Speaker 4: TV these are so greatly priced now?
- 13:39Speaker 7: So yeah, yeah, right, you could get a big one.
- 13:41Speaker 7: Yeah all right, so stick around. No you're not.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Sorry, not happening.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Kf I am six forty live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Good Friday, Black Friday morning to you.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Neil Savader in the morning crew, and has got the
- 14:00Speaker 3: day off, Amy's got the day off, Cone has got
- 14:02Speaker 3: the day off. Well, basically it's Anne and me and
- 14:07Speaker 3: as you're you know, go to traditional morning show folks,
- 14:11Speaker 3: and then we've got Heather Brooker in for Amy and
- 14:15Speaker 3: Samsa in for Cono. But we're here for you and all. Yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 3: and all your Citadel craziness. That's what's popping off apparently,
- 14:26Speaker 3: and that's where it's at. Daughter was going to work
- 14:28Speaker 3: early this morning and she contacted you and said, holy hell.
- 14:34Speaker 6: Yeah, she goes, I'm driving a work mom on the
- 14:35Speaker 6: five and the Citadel is going off.
- 14:38Speaker 3: And what was that like five in the morning. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 3: when they open. I mean that place is always popping off,
- 14:45Speaker 3: no matter what.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Open last night at midnight as well. Oh my lord,
- 14:49Speaker 5: that's a great shopping area by the way.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Oh it's gorgeous. And yeah, the shops are great. Everything's great.
- 14:54Speaker 3: But that's a lot of humanity. It's a lot of humanity. Yeah,
- 14:59Speaker 3: that's that's the kind of humanity I do. I reserve
- 15:02Speaker 3: for Disneyland only. All right, back to handle on the
- 15:06Speaker 3: news we go with Heather Brooker and me.
- 15:10Speaker 6: So we were talking about the National Guards member who
- 15:15Speaker 6: was shot and killed another one in critical condition.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Well.
- 15:19Speaker 6: In response to this attack, President Trump has said that
- 15:23Speaker 6: he's going to permanently pause migration from all quote third
- 15:28Speaker 6: world countries. Now, he didn't identify any country specifically by
- 15:33Speaker 6: name or explain what he meant by third world countries
- 15:36Speaker 6: or permanently pause, but he said that his plan would
- 15:40Speaker 6: include cases approved under former President Biden's administration. He says
- 15:46Speaker 6: he's going to terminate all of the millions of quote
- 15:49Speaker 6: Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe's auto pen.
- 15:56Speaker 5: I know, I know else.
- 15:59Speaker 6: So he says he's going to and it also end
- 16:01Speaker 6: all federal benefits and subsidies were non citizens. So he's
- 16:06Speaker 6: really taking a really strong response here to what happened.
- 16:14Speaker 6: I no details on what I heard.
- 16:17Speaker 3: He was going to home depot and he was getting
- 16:19Speaker 3: some paint chips. And if you're darker than those paint
- 16:22Speaker 3: chips is what it's just. Listen, we got to get
- 16:26Speaker 3: rid of brown people. They're causing problems again, all right.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Horrible apartment block fire in Hong Kong, and the deftoll
- 16:38Speaker 3: keeps jumping at now at one hundred and twenty eight,
- 16:43Speaker 3: and officials there are just saying that this is not done.
- 16:48Speaker 3: You've got two hundred people missing as of today, and
- 16:53Speaker 3: firefighters finally brought the blaze under control. About forty two
- 16:58Speaker 3: hours after it I did, but just rapidly spread through
- 17:05Speaker 3: the multiple buildings. It's this public housing estate and this
- 17:11Speaker 3: neighborhood just just went up in flames.
- 17:15Speaker 5: You know.
- 17:15Speaker 6: That's something we were thinking about too when we were
- 17:18Speaker 6: walking around New York as though they have the massive,
- 17:21Speaker 6: massive high rises.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I could never.
- 17:25Speaker 6: I would never want to live in a building that's
- 17:28Speaker 6: that tall, like where you just literally have no escape.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Not anything.
- 17:32Speaker 3: There's not the you know, the fire escapes and stuff
- 17:38Speaker 3: like that. Or it's a whole different world to live
- 17:41Speaker 3: and that I know every entrance and exit to my home.
- 17:45Speaker 4: How could you in a place like that.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but yes, very very sad story across the board.
- 17:52Speaker 6: And we'll continue to follow it as well because there
- 17:55Speaker 6: will be some more developments in the coming days on weeks.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Oh.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Absolutely, earthquakes, earthquakes everywhere. You had a six point zero
- 18:03Speaker 3: magnitude earthquake struck the northwest of Anchorage there in Alaska,
- 18:11Speaker 3: and we had some here, we had some in northern California.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Hawaii had a four point zero magnitude earthquake five miles
- 18:21Speaker 3: east of Gilroy, California. Here Gilroy, you know where they
- 18:25Speaker 3: have the garlic. Have you ever driven through Gilroy? Yes,
- 18:30Speaker 3: I don't care windows up, air conditioning off.
- 18:32Speaker 5: This smell.
- 18:33Speaker 4: It is pure garlic, it is.
- 18:36Speaker 3: I went around and just started planting little zelmans, just
- 18:43Speaker 3: started planting, putting the eastern seeds like Johnny appleseeed throughout there.
- 18:49Speaker 4: You know they should do that.
- 18:51Speaker 3: I'm going to talk to Anthony over there and say,
- 18:54Speaker 3: just dump Zelmans over the town of Gilroy and see
- 18:58Speaker 3: if it.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Love the smell of garlic.
- 19:01Speaker 6: But holy hell, I also love the smell of garlic,
- 19:04Speaker 6: and like saw take garlic with little onions and whatnot.
- 19:07Speaker 6: But like, it is a powerful stench in Gilroy. And
- 19:11Speaker 6: but they're probably used to it, you know. I went
- 19:13Speaker 6: to school in Oklahoma and Central Colahoma, and there was
- 19:16Speaker 6: farm lands around, and every once in a while when
- 19:18Speaker 6: the wind would shift, it was the smell of the
- 19:21Speaker 6: pig farms around Stillwater, Oklahoma would just blanket the whole school.
- 19:27Speaker 6: And after a while, you just kind of get used
- 19:28Speaker 6: to it. But so I imagine they're used to it,
- 19:31Speaker 6: you know, But it's it's powerful. That was my story,
- 19:36Speaker 6: So you sa, I went.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Into that one, and then I looked at this one,
- 19:39Speaker 3: and I'm like, Okay, do them all on the Let's
- 19:41Speaker 3: just do the well, let's get through the earthquake one.
- 19:44Speaker 3: So this hit the Inland Empire as well, three point
- 19:47Speaker 3: eight magnitude near I had a while, and.
- 19:52Speaker 4: You know what, and Cono's not here.
- 19:55Speaker 5: No Cono.
- 19:56Speaker 3: All the earthquakes and the Inland Empire and oh it's
- 20:00Speaker 3: not here. Interesting.
- 20:04Speaker 2: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 20:08Speaker 2: six forty.

- 20:29Speaker 3: ones with h's on them, Okay, because that's the kind
- 20:32Speaker 3: of guy I am.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I was blowing through those. I just you know,
- 20:36Speaker 3: I'm in it's the trip to fan. I'm in a
- 20:40Speaker 3: Turkey Koma.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Still.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I love Thanksgiving and I'm just eyeballs deep in all
- 20:45Speaker 3: its glorious brownness.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Are you gonna do That's what she said? Are you
- 20:50Speaker 5: gonna do a.
- 20:51Speaker 6: Foody Friday today and talk about your Thanksgiving?
- 20:54Speaker 5: Like leftover stuff?
- 20:55Speaker 4: I will talk about that.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I'll tell you how you know how to deal with
- 20:58Speaker 3: the leftovers and win they're bad and all of that stuff.
- 21:03Speaker 6: Yeah, some people, My husband is like, nah, it's been
- 21:05Speaker 6: another two weeks. It's fine, And I'm like, you throw
- 21:07Speaker 6: that away.
- 21:08Speaker 5: You know what.
- 21:09Speaker 4: If he wants to experiment.
- 21:12Speaker 6: He can eat and he has like an iron stomach.
- 21:14Speaker 6: He will eat anything and just be like no, I'm okay.
- 21:17Speaker 6: And then I can see he's physically in pain.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Oh wow. Carry Hoffman has that like they're like scavenger dog.
- 21:26Speaker 6: I don't know what that's about. And I'm like, just
- 21:28Speaker 6: don't eat it. If it's a couple of days old,
- 21:30Speaker 6: I don't eat it. I'm with you, all right, here
- 21:34Speaker 6: we go. Let's get back to some hard news. As
- 21:37Speaker 6: they say, Putin has doubled down on you.
- 21:41Speaker 4: I feel like we should like a melodrama.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Boo no news or just for Putin, No for Putin,
- 21:47Speaker 3: okayo boot Putin.
- 21:50Speaker 6: He is doubling down on his core demands for ending
- 21:52Speaker 6: the war in Ukraine. He says Russia will lay down
- 21:55Speaker 6: arms only if Kiev's troops withdraw from territory claimed by Moscow.
- 22:02Speaker 6: He is pushing for legal recognition. Of the Ukrainian territories
- 22:06Speaker 6: that Russia has seized by force include the Crimea Pensila,
- 22:11Speaker 6: which it illegally annexed in twenty fourteen, and the donbas
- 22:15Speaker 6: Am I saying that right donbas made up, which Moscow
- 22:20Speaker 6: has occupied for the most part. So he's not giving.
- 22:24Speaker 6: He's saying, if they don't withdraw, we will achieve this
- 22:28Speaker 6: by force of arms. So they're going to get even
- 22:31Speaker 6: more tough with Ukraine if they don't do what he's saying.
- 22:35Speaker 3: What's that saying? You give a dictator an inch and
- 22:39Speaker 3: they'll take everyone's life, take your country, in your life,
- 22:42Speaker 3: something like that. Campbells, they have been the news man.
- 22:46Speaker 3: What a time is the wildest food time of the year,
- 22:50Speaker 3: and your brand is in the news because you're talking
- 22:52Speaker 3: about three D printed meat. So the Campbells company said
- 22:56Speaker 3: Wednesday that it has fired that executive who was recorded
- 23:00Speaker 3: to making racist comments and mocking the company's products and customers.
- 23:06Speaker 3: If you remember, basically what was said is that he
- 23:10Speaker 3: made a comment that Campbell's is highly processed food, said
- 23:15Speaker 3: that it was for poor people. What's the person's name,
- 23:21Speaker 3: Bally Bally Bally.
- 23:22Speaker 4: So this.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I mean horrible in every way talking about three D
- 23:31Speaker 3: printed meat and stuff, and they do have that technology,
- 23:34Speaker 3: but I don't know that it's used yet for mass production.
- 23:38Speaker 3: There is meat glues and stuff where they will glue
- 23:44Speaker 3: parts of meat together to make larger parts in processing.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I mean, some of that stuff's not pretty. But if
- 23:51Speaker 3: they're using three D printed meat at this point, that's fascinating.
- 23:59Speaker 6: It's fascinating but also terrifying, Like, who's gonna oversee the
- 24:05Speaker 6: the three D printed meat and this stuff.
- 24:08Speaker 5: I saw this.
- 24:09Speaker 6: I just it's all just so scary what we're our
- 24:12Speaker 6: whole food supply chain and everything is what's going on,
- 24:15Speaker 6: and it feels like there's just a massive lack of
- 24:17Speaker 6: oversight for any part of it. But I saw a
- 24:21Speaker 6: video that went viral on TikTok and it was like
- 24:24Speaker 6: Fruity Pebbles and like one of the other some of
- 24:26Speaker 6: the other companies owned by Campbell's, and they were like, hey, guys,
- 24:30Speaker 6: look we're trending, We're going viral. What are we going
- 24:33Speaker 6: viral for?
- 24:34Speaker 5: This is great.
- 24:34Speaker 6: We've been working so hard to get like attention and
- 24:37Speaker 6: free you know, press or whatever. And they're like, oh, oh, oh,
- 24:41Speaker 6: this is bad. This is very very bad because they
- 24:46Speaker 6: have a lot of brand They have a ton of brands.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Yeah, and Phony Pebbles is one of them.
- 24:49Speaker 6: They're like, oh, all right, okay, so we're getting more information.
- 24:54Speaker 5: This is uh, this is good to know.
- 24:57Speaker 6: Here what we're getting more information about the Spike who
- 25:02Speaker 6: was shot and killed. Police say the suspect is a
- 25:06Speaker 6: documented gang member, thirty seven year old Jose Domingo ayala
- 25:11Speaker 6: alas alice if I'm saying that right. He's from Palmdale,
- 25:16Speaker 6: and they believe he is the one who shot Spike,
- 25:21Speaker 6: and they also believe that he is involved in local gangs.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Yeah, apparently was a known gang member and obviously a
- 25:30Speaker 3: dirt bag. So horrible situation. These canine officers are obviously
- 25:38Speaker 3: very brave and trained to do things that are dangerous.
- 25:41Speaker 3: But what a horrible, horrible story. So sad, all right.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Ticket prices at Disneyland, which I'm very familiar with and
- 25:51Speaker 3: talking about dynamic pricing, which is something that you know,
- 25:57Speaker 3: the old saying, you can't make more hours in a day,
- 26:00Speaker 3: you have to make more an hour. You know, that's
- 26:03Speaker 3: the reality of life, and companies are still trying to
- 26:06Speaker 3: find ways to you know, you can only squeeze so
- 26:12Speaker 3: much for a product or whatever, so they find these
- 26:15Speaker 3: different ways to change it, and that's what they're doing.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Disney ECFO and Senior executive vice president Hugh Johnson said,
- 26:23Speaker 3: we're actually investing in creating dynamic pricing. So I guess
- 26:28Speaker 3: Disneyland Paris has been using it for about a year
- 26:32Speaker 3: and it's off to a good start, they believe, but
- 26:35Speaker 3: they're trying to find ways to optimize it and make
- 26:38Speaker 3: sure that it's working before they bring it to the
- 26:40Speaker 3: domestic parks here in the States. So probably not something
- 26:45Speaker 3: we're going to see this year, maybe next year, but
- 26:50Speaker 3: it's coming. I'm going to be curious how you do that,
- 26:52Speaker 3: because to me, I want to pay more on a
- 26:56Speaker 3: slower day, you would, okay, well, because like I'd paid
- 27:01Speaker 3: more to be there with less people.
- 27:03Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Oh I see, we're saying, yah, yeah yeah. This is
- 27:06Speaker 6: to me, is very similar to like surge pricing. If
- 27:09Speaker 6: I'm going to lax For those who don't know about
- 27:11Speaker 6: dynamic pricing, they're they're basically saying, at any given time,
- 27:14Speaker 6: we can at we can make things cost more. So
- 27:17Speaker 6: around the holidays, when everybody wants to go, maybe they
- 27:21Speaker 6: increase the price by a couple hundred bucks or a
- 27:23Speaker 6: hundred bucks or whatever it might be. And then during
- 27:26Speaker 6: the times, like you say, when it's slower, then it'll
- 27:28Speaker 6: be cheaper. Well that just means then it's gonna shift
- 27:31Speaker 6: and less people will start going during the holidays and
- 27:34Speaker 6: more people will start going during the slower.
- 27:36Speaker 4: People will save money.
- 27:37Speaker 3: But yeah, i'd like like during I think it's be
- 27:39Speaker 3: super cheap during Christmas time or whenever everybody wants to go,
- 27:44Speaker 3: cause it's gonna be packed.
- 27:46Speaker 5: It's gonna be packed.
- 27:47Speaker 4: I will tell you.
- 27:47Speaker 3: We were there on Sunday and on Monday, and yeah,
- 27:50Speaker 3: there was a lot of humanity, but it was a blast.
- 27:55Speaker 5: It's always a blast though.
- 27:56Speaker 3: It was so much fun. And the food. They have
- 28:00Speaker 3: the holiday festival going on there, Festival of Holidays and
- 28:06Speaker 3: at California Adventure Park, and the food is outstanding. It's
- 28:11Speaker 3: really good. And they did a twist on a Paloma,
- 28:14Speaker 3: which is a great Mexican cocktail and it was delicious,
- 28:20Speaker 3: and it was at it's festive and cars Land is
- 28:25Speaker 3: super beautiful this time of year, and Main Street is
- 28:30Speaker 3: and it just was and you know, I did for
- 28:32Speaker 3: the first time I paid extra to get to go
- 28:35Speaker 3: through a lightning lane.
- 28:36Speaker 5: I do that every time I'm too old to wait
- 28:39Speaker 5: in line.
- 28:40Speaker 4: And it was great.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Here's the thing for lines, It's not about the length
- 28:45Speaker 3: of the line. It's about the people you're in line with.
- 28:47Speaker 3: So I actually enjoy conversation with my boy and my wife,
- 28:52Speaker 3: so I don't mind the lines.
- 28:54Speaker 4: But as I get older, do my hips.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Just feel the same way?
- 29:00Speaker 7: Right?
- 29:01Speaker 5: I was like for me, my body, yeah, doesn't enjoy it.
- 29:04Speaker 5: So waiting for two hours.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Yeah, so that it's you know, there's not much I
- 29:09Speaker 3: can do about it. I got flat feet, and you're
- 29:11Speaker 3: you know, have fallen arches and stuff standing around. Yeah,
- 29:15Speaker 3: and I'm the one, you know, taking two fifty five
- 29:19Speaker 3: around with me everywhere I go. So it's different for me.
- 29:24Speaker 3: But as far as being in the line, some of
- 29:27Speaker 3: the cues like in the Star Wars UH rides like
- 29:31Speaker 3: Rise of the Resistance, I could be in those all
- 29:34Speaker 3: day because they have props in them, and yeah, in
- 29:36Speaker 3: sets and I can look at that stuff all day.
- 29:39Speaker 6: I feel that way about the Harry Potter ride at
- 29:41Speaker 6: Universal too. They've done such.
- 29:43Speaker 4: An amazing Q to me, is better than the ride.
- 29:46Speaker 5: It's so cool.
- 29:47Speaker 2: I walked through there because my kid, for a long
- 29:50Speaker 2: time was too small to get in on the ride.
- 29:52Speaker 4: We walked.
- 29:53Speaker 3: They have the option to just walk through the castle
- 29:56Speaker 3: to see all of the stuff that they have in there.
- 29:58Speaker 4: It's amazing.
- 29:59Speaker 6: And the same thing with Anintendo ride too, down where
- 30:01Speaker 6: it looks like you're literally in the Nintendo world. Guys,
- 30:05Speaker 6: should we all just go to the Let's just go
- 30:07Speaker 6: to Universal or Disney right now, Let's just let's.
- 30:10Speaker 5: Just take everyone. But Neel's like, hold on, I've lost control.
- 30:14Speaker 4: No, I have passes for both. I'm in let's do it.
- 30:18Speaker 6: By the way, people are calling in who are in
- 30:20Speaker 6: line at the Citadel, they're shopping and they're saying, yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 6: we're here, it's act.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Well what are they getting?
- 30:26Speaker 6: Well, this guy says, I just thought one call. This
- 30:28Speaker 6: guy said he is going to Santa Surplus outlet on
- 30:33Speaker 6: the five and Commerce because they have a huge Santa
- 30:36Speaker 6: mural and electronics, appliances, food, candy, he has every they
- 30:40Speaker 6: have everything, and he's really excited to go there.
- 30:42Speaker 5: Wait, what's the name Santa I've never heard of it.
- 30:45Speaker 6: I was gonna look it up, but the news got
- 30:47Speaker 6: in the way. But I've never heard of Santa Surplus outlet.
- 30:51Speaker 6: Maybe this is an ad for their story. I don't know,
- 30:53Speaker 6: but he called it and he's like, yeah, we're here
- 30:57Speaker 6: at the Citadel. It's there's a lot of cars, We're excited.
- 30:59Speaker 6: People are calling in and they're like, we're waiting in
- 31:00Speaker 6: line to go to the citadel.
- 31:02Speaker 3: So, well, the you know, hey, I used to do
- 31:04Speaker 3: that for Apple products. I get it being there with
- 31:07Speaker 3: like minded people.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Got sorry.
- 31:08Speaker 3: I'm all for that if that's part of your festivities.
- 31:10Speaker 3: I'm just curious, like, what are you buying that You're like, no,
- 31:14Speaker 3: I have to get it today.
- 31:15Speaker 5: That I can't order online.
- 31:17Speaker 6: I don't know, Okay, maybe the atmosphere, maybe the human
- 31:20Speaker 6: connection you cannot get that online.
- 31:23Speaker 3: You mean the ambience, the ambience, the ambience, easy it,
- 31:27Speaker 3: miss fia us. So that's an old line, never mind,
- 31:31Speaker 3: that just always makes me laugh. Ambience, easy it, Miss
- 31:35Speaker 3: fia kfi am six forty heart everywhere on the iHeart
- 31:42Speaker 3: Radio app. Good Friday morning to you. Everybody's out with
- 31:45Speaker 3: their Black fridayness out there. Yeah, it looks like, uh,
- 31:50Speaker 3: what is that? What is that movie with Brad Pitt
- 31:57Speaker 3: and the zombies something z World Wars yeah, World War Z.
- 32:03Speaker 3: It's like that.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Are they like climbing on each other there at the citadel,
- 32:07Speaker 5: but in their cars.
- 32:09Speaker 6: All it looks like they're it's just like just a mile.
- 32:12Speaker 6: They're just trying to get in at this point. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:15Speaker 6: that seems to be the place that's popping off. Yeah,
- 32:18Speaker 6: but good on you have fun, be nice, don't hurt anybody.
- 32:22Speaker 6: I mean a little elbowing here and there. You gotta
- 32:24Speaker 6: do what you gotta do to get in there. Yeah, TV,
- 32:26Speaker 6: after all.
- 32:27Speaker 5: TV Scarf. Maybe that candle you've had your eye on hand.
- 32:31Speaker 3: You're gonna you're gonna throw bows for a candle. Geez,
- 32:36Speaker 3: you're mean, Heather Brooker, It's true. Tell your friends back
- 32:39Speaker 3: to handle on the news with Heather Brooker and me.
- 32:43Speaker 3: All right, the ballroom arc tech course, this whole.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Guy tearing up there.
- 32:51Speaker 6: Hold on a second, you're just skipping the Turkey trot
- 32:53Speaker 6: in the palisades. Wait what Yeah, that's why we did
- 32:56Speaker 6: run to you at the music.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I'm out of it, Heather, Thank god for you your jet
- 33:03Speaker 3: lag and you're still uh, I am like absent minded today.
- 33:08Speaker 3: You know what mention of turkey, the mention of Turkey
- 33:11Speaker 3: and you're immediately re tripped a fan.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. I'm like going through these stories.
- 33:15Speaker 3: I think I'm reading them and just going, oh, that's
- 33:17Speaker 3: a neat.
- 33:17Speaker 4: Story, and then.
- 33:20Speaker 6: We are to tell people about that next Anyway, So
- 33:23Speaker 6: good news in the Palisades, which I know that they
- 33:26Speaker 6: desperately need. Over there, they had their Turkey trot. This
- 33:30Speaker 6: is the what did I see? It's the eleventh Annuel. Yeah,
- 33:34Speaker 6: the eleventh Annuel Turkey Trot. Everybody lined up yesterday morning.
- 33:38Speaker 6: About two thousand people signed up and they ran through
- 33:42Speaker 6: the Palisades. Of course, much of it still burned out.
- 33:47Speaker 6: Sixty eight hundred buildings were destroyed by the January wildfires,
- 33:51Speaker 6: and a lot of people and the organizers were saying
- 33:54Speaker 6: this was a much needed boost for the community, something
- 33:57Speaker 6: really positive for them to be able to come together
- 34:00Speaker 6: in this way and still hold on to some of
- 34:02Speaker 6: their traditions in the paliss.
- 34:04Speaker 4: I think that's powerful too.
- 34:06Speaker 3: I can only imagine that the community boost that that
- 34:10Speaker 3: gives you to see some traditions.
- 34:13Speaker 5: Still holding on.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Having said that, Hey, have I talked to you about
- 34:18Speaker 3: the ballroom over there at the White House?
- 34:21Speaker 5: I mentioned that, Well, yeah, no, what's going on with the.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Ballroom, tiny little ballroom, tiny little humble. Yeah, so the
- 34:31Speaker 3: ball the architect there will keep their role despite going
- 34:36Speaker 3: back and forth and arguing with Trump. Trump doesn't like
- 34:41Speaker 3: when you argue with them. It's like his least favorite thing.
- 34:46Speaker 3: I think he would beat the crap out of his
- 34:47Speaker 3: own conscious consciences. Yeah, that's what I was looking for.
- 34:54Speaker 3: It if it disagreed, it's if it talked back. Yeah,
- 34:57Speaker 3: he flicked the angel right off his shoulder.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Leave me alone.
- 35:02Speaker 3: But James mcquarie, the second he brought he was brought
- 35:07Speaker 3: on board by Trump to serve as the lead architect,
- 35:11Speaker 3: but he, I guess, expressed some concern it could dwarf
- 35:14Speaker 3: the White House.
- 35:16Speaker 6: It's gonna be the White House is now going to
- 35:19Speaker 6: be in the shadow of the Trump Ballroom.
- 35:22Speaker 3: You know, it'll be so big. So you know, the
- 35:27Speaker 3: White House is not that big. That's why they've had
- 35:30Speaker 3: to create, you know, other portions of the structure. But
- 35:35Speaker 3: it's a ninety thousand square foot ballroom connected to a
- 35:40Speaker 3: fifty five thousand square foot executive mansion.
- 35:45Speaker 6: It's like when I added on my bathroom to my house,
- 35:49Speaker 6: did I really need a ninety thousand square foot bathroom.
- 35:52Speaker 5: No, but it's nice to have it.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Sure.
- 35:55Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not saying that the White House doesn't
- 35:58Speaker 3: need a big ballroom. I mean they're doing tents and
- 36:01Speaker 3: stuff for events, but that's big.
- 36:07Speaker 5: That's a big Those are.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Some big ballrooms.
- 36:11Speaker 5: All Right, it's going to get cold.
- 36:13Speaker 6: It is going to get cold, but not here back
- 36:16Speaker 6: in the Northeast. This is always this always feels like news, like, yeah,
- 36:21Speaker 6: this happens every year in the Northeast.
- 36:23Speaker 5: It's going to be cold. This is going to be.
- 36:25Speaker 6: Unusual though, because it's going to be colder than normal
- 36:29Speaker 6: in the northern and northeastern parts of the US. It
- 36:33Speaker 6: is going to send some of the earth's most extreme
- 36:37Speaker 6: cold weather uh is starting in the first week of
- 36:41Speaker 6: December towards mid December, and climatologists, meteorologists, weather experts are
- 36:46Speaker 6: all like, bundle up, get ready, it's about to be
- 36:49Speaker 6: cold when that polar vortex hits.
- 36:52Speaker 4: But this is just the East coast, right.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Yeah, we're good. Get those shorts.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Out, stop your whining.
- 36:58Speaker 5: Keep your flip flops ready to go.
- 36:59Speaker 3: And the last story we've been talking about all morning
- 37:02Speaker 3: Black Friday shopping, where you're flocking to Citadel outlets and
- 37:08Speaker 3: other so cow malls. I haven't been to a mall
- 37:11Speaker 3: other than you know, like your Americana. Love the Americana,
- 37:14Speaker 3: Love the Grove Glenda Galeria. Man, that's where I live
- 37:17Speaker 3: in a Glendale.
- 37:18Speaker 4: I haven't been there in forever.
- 37:20Speaker 6: The Galleria and the Americana, to me, are the most
- 37:23Speaker 6: perfect combination because you get a little bit of the
- 37:25Speaker 6: indoor mall, like your hot topics, you know, your Victoria secrets,
- 37:29Speaker 6: whatever you need, and then you walk across the street
- 37:31Speaker 6: and you get a big dose of Christmas at the
- 37:34Speaker 6: Americana and all the higher end stores. It's really it's
- 37:37Speaker 6: the perfect combo in my opinion. That being said, everyone
- 37:39Speaker 6: stay away. It's two pass.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Yeah about it?
- 37:41Speaker 3: Away alrighty, stick around, More to come. Neil Savadra in
- 37:46Speaker 3: the Morning Crew today handles off. We're keeping it kind
- 37:50Speaker 3: of light and fun and playful today. A lot of
- 37:52Speaker 3: shopping and things like that going on, So stick around.
- 37:54Speaker 3: This is KFI heard everywhere in the iHeartRadio app.
