Transcript
- 0:11Good evening. My name is Erica Kirk.
- 0:15Charlie Kirk is my husband. I first want to thank the local,
- 0:21state and federal law enforcement who worked
- 0:24tirelessly to capture my husband's assassin so that he
- 0:28can be brought to justice. I want to thank the first
- 0:32responders who struggled heroically.
- 0:36Heroically. To save Charles's life and the
- 0:42police who acted bravely to make sure that there were no other
- 0:46victims on that terrible afternoon.
- 0:50I want to thank the officers who have protected our Turning Point
- 0:54USA family these past two days. And I want to thank the Turning
- 0:59Point USA board, the COO Justin Strife, and my husband's Chief
- 1:06of staff, the amazing Mikey McCoy for all their work in
- 1:12these terrible days to be the stability for our family and for
- 1:17the wider Turning Point USA family as well.
- 1:21My heart is with every one of my husband's employees who lost a
- 1:25friend and a mentor. I want to thank the staffers of
- 1:32this his amazing Charlie Kirk show who helped him broadcast
- 1:38from the studio this this chair. Every day he loved it.
- 1:47He loved what he did. I want to thank the millions of
- 1:52people who have shown their love for Charlie here in Phoenix,
- 1:57across America and worldwide. I want to thank my husband's
- 2:04dear friend, Vice President Vance, and his phenomenal wife
- 2:10Usha for their love and support. You guys honored my husband so
- 2:18well bringing him home. You both are.
- 2:23Tremendous. I want to thank President Trump
- 2:27and his incredible family for the same.
- 2:32Mr. President, my husband loved you, and he knew that you loved
- 2:44him too. He did.
- 2:47Your friendship was amazing. You supported him so well, as
- 2:54did he for you. 2 days ago my husband Charlie went to see the
- 3:01face of his Savior and his God. Charlie always said that when he
- 3:09was gone, he he wanted to be remembered for his courage and
- 3:14for his faith. And one of the final
- 3:18conversations that he had on this earth, my husband witnessed
- 3:23for his Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ.
- 3:30Now and for all eternity, he will stand at his Savior's side,
- 3:38wearing the glorious crown of a martyr.
- 3:43Charlie loved, loved. Life.
- 3:47He loved his life, he loved America, he loved nature, which
- 3:55helped him always bring him closer to God.
- 3:59He loved the Chicago Cubs and my goodness did he love the Oregon
- 4:04Ducks. Want me to say go Ducks?
- 4:07So I have to since they play on Saturday, so go ducks.
- 4:13But most of all, Charlie loved his children and he loved me
- 4:23with all of his heart. And I knew that every day.
- 4:27I knew that he made sure I knew that every day.
- 4:31Every day he would ask me, how can I serve you better?
- 4:34How can I be a better husband? How can I be a better father
- 4:37every day? Every day.
- 4:40Such a good man. He still is a good man.
- 4:44He was the perfect father. He was the perfect husband.
- 4:51Charlie always believed that God's design for marriage in the
- 4:54family was absolutely amazing. And it is, it is, and it was the
- 4:59greatest joy of his life. And over and over he would tell
- 5:07all these young people to come in and find their future spouse,
- 5:11become wives and husbands and parents.
- 5:14And the reason why is because he wanted you all to experience
- 5:18what he had and still has. He wanted everyone to bring
- 5:23heaven into this earth through love and joy that comes from
- 5:27raising a family. It's beautiful.
- 5:34Charlie always said that if he ever ran for office, I know a
- 5:37lot of you asked if he ever was going to, but privately he told
- 5:40me if he ever did run for office that his top priority would be
- 5:46to revive the American family. That.
- 5:51Was his priority. One of Charlie's favorite Bible
- 5:55verses was Ephesians 5 verse 25. Husbands, love your wives as
- 6:09Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
- 6:16My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our
- 6:24children. He showed the ultimate and true
- 6:28covenantal love. I will never ever have the words
- 6:35to describe the loss that I feel in my heart.
- 6:40I honestly have no idea what any of this means.
- 6:43I know that God does, but I don't.
- 6:48But Charlie, baby, I know you do too.
- 6:50I know you do. So does our Lord.
- 6:57And our world is filled with evil, but our God.
- 7:03You guys are God is so good so. Incredibly good.
- 7:11And we know that for those who love God, all things work
- 7:14together for good, for those who are called according to His
- 7:18purpose. Already I have seen the
- 7:23worldwide outpouring of love for my husband.
- 7:28I've heard the testimonies from people my husband inspired to
- 7:31get married, to start families, to seek out a relationship with
- 7:36God. It's the most important, most
- 7:38important one of all. The evil doers responsible for
- 7:48my husband's assassination have no idea what they have done.
- 7:57They killed Charlie because he preached a message of
- 8:00patriotism, faith, and of God's merciful love.
- 8:07They should all know this. If you thought that my husband's
- 8:13mission was powerful before, you have no idea.
- 8:20You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this
- 8:23entire country and this world. You have no idea.
- 8:30You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this
- 8:35wife. The cries of this widow will
- 8:40echo around the world like a battle cry.
- 8:49To everyone listening tonight across America, the movement my
- 8:52husband built will not die. It won't.
- 8:57I refuse to let that happen. It will not die.
- 9:03All of us will refuse to let that happen.
- 9:06No one will ever forget my husband's name, and I will make
- 9:11sure of it. It will become stronger, bolder,
- 9:19louder and greater than ever. My husband's mission will not
- 9:23end, not even for a moment. And one of Charlie's greatest
- 9:29talents was his ability, this phenomenal ability to choose
- 9:34great people to follow him. He could always find the ones
- 9:39who could handle any set back. And it's almost like he knew he
- 9:42just, he could see it in you. Even when you couldn't see it in
- 9:46yourself, you just knew. He knew you could handle it.
- 9:49You thought you only had 5% left and he knew you had 15.
- 9:54He knew you were ready to go that extra mile even when you
- 9:56didn't. He always challenged people
- 10:00around him to work harder and to be better.
- 10:03He never gave up. And I love knowing that one of
- 10:06his, one of his mottos was never surrender.
- 10:13So I want to tell you that, that we'll never surrender.
- 10:17We never will ever, ever. Our campus tour this fall will
- 10:25continue. There will be even more tours in
- 10:30the years to come. America Fest here in Phoenix
- 10:34this December will go on. It will be greater than ever.
- 10:40The radio and podcast show that he was so proud of will go on.
- 10:50And in a world filled with chaos, doubt and uncertainty, my
- 10:53husband's voice will remain, and it will ring out louder and more
- 10:57clearly than ever. And his wisdom will endure.
- 11:04My favorite. My favorite too, but my
- 11:07husband's favorite word in the English language was earn.
- 11:15He would call all of you to be people of action who earn the
- 11:19future America deserves. So to all of the young people
- 11:25who felt inspired by my husband's faith and hard work,
- 11:31all of you already know what Charlie would want you to do.
- 11:34You know, you know if you're in high school or if you're in
- 11:40college. Go find your local Turning Point
- 11:43USA chapter. Join it.
- 11:47Stay involved. He wants you to make a
- 11:50difference and you can. You can.
- 11:56The movement's not going anywhere and it will only grow
- 11:58stronger when you join it. There isn't a chapter.
- 12:04You can't find one, then start one.
- 12:06There is no excuse. You can start one and as my
- 12:10husband used to say in this room, every single day, if you
- 12:13want to get involved, the best way you can do that is going to
- 12:16tpusa.com. That's what he would say every
- 12:19day from this chair, every single day.
- 12:22I watched his show every day and he would always say, if you want
- 12:24to get involved, go to tpusa.com.
- 12:29If you're a pastor, join our movement at TPUSA Faith.
- 12:33And if you're a parent, I highly recommend that you come to
- 12:37America Fest in December. Sign up right now for that
- 12:41because we would love to see you.
- 12:43I would love to see you, Charlie would He'll be there.
- 12:47He'll be there in spirit. Bring your kids, bring your
- 12:51family. But most important of all, if
- 12:55you aren't a member of a church, I beg you to join 1A Bible
- 13:00believing church. Our battle is not simply a
- 13:04political one. Above all, it is spiritual.
- 13:07It is. Spiritual.
- 13:08The spiritual warfare is palpable.
- 13:15Charlie loved his Savior with all of his heart and he wanted
- 13:18everyone of you to know him too. He wanted everyone to know that
- 13:23if they confess, if they confess the Lord Jesus Christ who rose
- 13:30from the dead, then they will be saved.
- 13:36Hear me when I say this. Nobody is ever too young to know
- 13:40the Gospel. Nobody.
- 13:44Nobody is ever too young to get involved with saving this
- 13:46beautiful country, this country my husband loved and still
- 13:50loves. And nobody is ever too old
- 13:54either. There's no age limit.
- 14:00I know my husband is still here. He's watching over us.
- 14:09I don't remember the last time I slept.
- 14:13I couldn't sleep last night. And Charlie, baby, Charlie, I
- 14:22promise I will never let your legacy die, baby.
- 14:27I won't. I promise I'll make Turning
- 14:29Point USA the biggest thing that this nation has ever seen.
- 14:34I promise. Charlie, I love you.
- 14:40I love you baby, rest in the arms of our Lord as He blankets
- 14:47you with the words I know your heart always strives to hear.
- 14:53Well done my good and faithful servant.
- 14:59When I got home last night, Gigi, our daughter just ran into
- 15:07our my arms and I talked to her and she said, Mommy, I missed
- 15:15you. I said I miss you too baby.
- 15:17She goes, Where's Daddy? What do you tell a three-year
- 15:21old? She's 3.
- 15:26I said baby daddy loves you so much.
- 15:29Don't you worry. He's on a he's on a work trip
- 15:32with Jesus so he can afford your blueberry budget.
- 15:39And my goodness, am I so humbled to witness Charlie, you
- 15:45alongside Jesus right now, doing what you always want to do,
- 15:50baby, Making heaven crowded, right?
- 15:53That's what it's all about, making heaven crowded.
- 16:01I can't wait to see you again one day.
- 16:06Thank you all again who love my husband, who supported him, who
- 16:12wrote him an e-mail every single day during his radio show.
- 16:15He read all of them, all of them.
- 16:25God bless you all, and May God bless America.
