  SPEAKER_00: I know at the start of the podcast, when we first started, I'd mentioned that I just started True Detective.

  SPEAKER_00: With everything I've had to watch since the podcast and some other stuff coming out, I did finally finish.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm only gonna watch the first season.

  SPEAKER_00: Um one of those shows where every season's a different story, different actors and stuff.

  SPEAKER_00: Um but I've heard that the first season is one of the best seasons television ever.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, it's good, yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: But it doesn't make you want to watch the second season?

  SPEAKER_00: Because I saw like the little clip, but he's he plays Penguin, he plays uh Bullseye, then he's playing those.

  SPEAKER_00: Makes me kind of want to watch it, but the first season is very good, and I've heard the rest of just not.

  SPEAKER_00: I can't attest it is one of the best seasons of television I've ever watched.

  SPEAKER_00: Uh not really spoilers, but a little bit of a spoiler warning for lanterns if you're still watching it.

  SPEAKER_00: Um y'all kind of know my thoughts already, so what do you think so far?

  SPEAKER_01: I guess I I guess I was probably an episode in last podcast, huh?

  SPEAKER_01: It's for a superhero show, it's just it's not I don't know, man.

  SPEAKER_01: Um for Green Lantern kinda makes me mad that he just he's so like weak and they make him look so bad.

  SPEAKER_01: Like he's supposed to But he's washed though.

  SPEAKER_01: It's always dead, and like the projections that they make, besides the one that Jon Stewart made, uh, with the drill, they're all just like iffy.

  SPEAKER_00: And he can fly, but there's no like green or it does go to him being.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's not creative anymore.

  SPEAKER_00: He's old, he's been doing it for a long time.

  SPEAKER_00: And it's just easier.

  SPEAKER_00: Because when you talk about how powerful it is, those this will be a spoiler for the most recent episode.

  SPEAKER_00: The laser beams come from the sky where we're destroying buildings instantly.

  SPEAKER_00: And he was able to take a bunch of them on at a time just by blocking it.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I guess yeah, that that part kinda you can s see the power in it.

  SPEAKER_00: I think whenever Jon Stewart eventually does get the ring, you'll really like it because his whole thing is he is a art student that can make up anything.

  SPEAKER_01: But then like how Jordan's supposed to be the strongest willed and supposed to be one of the strongest lanterns, and he just seems so bungee.

  SPEAKER_01: And I thought that Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart were both lanterns at the same time, not like training him to be a replacement.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so the like I don't know if you watched the trailer for the new episode.

  SPEAKER_00: There's a moment where Guy Gardner and Jon Stewart are talking, and Jon Stewart basically goes to him.

  SPEAKER_00: I think it goes, it's gonna go up to that 2026 part.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's some stuff where it shows like I'm pretty sure how Jordan like goes to jail, like it's arrested and blamed for everything.

  SPEAKER_00: Um Jon Stewart basically goes and like in the trailer asks uh uh Guy Gardner to help him, and he's like, I'm not gonna help you.

  SPEAKER_00: And Jon Stewart says you owe me, which makes me think that like I mean, obviously we know Guy Gardner gets a ring, but I'm pretty sure he's saying, like, I left the ring so they had to choose somebody else and they chose you, so you owe me because because I left the ring, you got it.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh, so you're saying Okay, whoa, whoa, whoa.

  SPEAKER_01: So this is based off before Guy Gardner gets the ring.

  SPEAKER_00: Oh and then at the end of the first episode where you see how Jordan and the Bleachers in the Snow, that's 2026, that's present day.

  SPEAKER_01: So there's only that makes sense, because I guess they've said that there's only been one lantern on Earth.

  SPEAKER_00: Because then it leads up to Jon Stewart being, I think, I mean, he's in the new Superman movie.

  SPEAKER_00: Like they've been a lot of people, but I'm assuming he's gonna be Green Lantern in that movie.

  SPEAKER_01: I really I the actor that plays Jon Stewart I really like.

  SPEAKER_01: I I think he he look like the I don't know which I've just seen clips of like the cartoon version of the lantern or the Green Lantern, and probably it's probably Justice Lee, I think.

  SPEAKER_01: And he's like the he looks like a superhero.

  SPEAKER_01: Uh you said how Jordan would grow on it.

  SPEAKER_01: And I just think he he just seems weak and uh lame kinda.

  SPEAKER_01: The that last episode did a good job of being like, oh, I'm excited for what comes next.

  SPEAKER_00: One of my favorite second favorite show of all time.

  SPEAKER_00: So what do you think about this second season?

  SPEAKER_01: I wanted to ask, is were you higher on it before or after the second season?

  SPEAKER_00: Like did the second season bump it for you or did it I think I was about I thought the first season was so good, and I think the second season just kept it the same pace.

  SPEAKER_00: I thought I think going into the second season I was like, if they keep it up from the first season, that's gonna be one of my favorite shows, and they did.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought that the second season was good.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought it was worse than I thought it was had a few episodes in there that were s the worst episodes of the whole show.

  SPEAKER_01: The ending was so good that it it made up for it.

  SPEAKER_01: Um that one, the episode with Jemma and her whole story and what's going on with her uh downstairs, I like it took me away from the characters that I love, so it was like kind of tough, but I get it, and it made a lot of sense.

  SPEAKER_01: So I mean that one wasn't as bad, but the episode with uh Cobel, I just did not like the whole episode, it was just her and her family and her town.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought that was that's the worst episode of the show for me.

  SPEAKER_01: Um it it it was kind of cool to see like how she started everything with like the severance and everything.

  SPEAKER_01: So that was the only like highlight of that episode.

  SPEAKER_01: And I I thought that they could have had other stuff going on while like with the um so that I didn't really like.

  SPEAKER_01: So Cold Harbor is just finally splitting her into that final and what was I don't understand what was gonna happen to her.

  SPEAKER_00: Maybe they're trying to find a way to program someone's brain to do exactly what you want all the time.

  SPEAKER_00: When I first saw You just have to you have to imagine something to alter s like work on inside the brain and alter it and make people, you know what I mean?

  SPEAKER_01: The way I saw it at first, when we first kinda got involved in Gemma's story down there, I thought that they were just trying to figure out ways to split minds and kinda get them to learn how to do certain jobs so that they can do it for a variety of different jobs and not just at that company.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought that's what they were going for, or like live and they that might be trying to sell the I just didn't understand why like they said it would kill Gemma as once he'd finished Cold Harbor.

  SPEAKER_01: Like she would have been every she would have been everything else, but he did finish it and he took her out and she was fine.

  SPEAKER_00: The main actor won uh best lead in a comedy series, and he won best lead in like a TV show for a different show he's in.

  SPEAKER_00: Emmies, it's like the it's just like the big award show for TV shows.
