- 1:43Speaker 3: and for all.
- 1:45Speaker 2: We tied with compassion. We stand in the light for ed.
- 1:54Speaker 5: But hello, Hello, hello, and welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 1:57Speaker 6: I know you not used to seeing us on here
- 2:00Speaker 6: on a Wednesday night, nor are you used to seeing
- 2:03Speaker 6: us here together. But today it's just one of those
- 2:07Speaker 6: days that we just felt like we needed to come
- 2:10Speaker 6: on and share. There's some things that are happening around
- 2:15Speaker 6: America that we just need to shed some light on.
- 2:21Speaker 6: Today I'll tell you it's just not a good day.
- 2:26Speaker 6: Those that know know that a lot of us have
- 2:30Speaker 6: really been advocating and trying to bring light to Carmelo
- 2:34Speaker 6: Anthony's case, and today we felt like justice was not
- 2:39Speaker 6: served in so many ways. The justice system fell this
- 2:45Speaker 6: young man. And tonight we we just on the top
- 2:49Speaker 6: about what we observed and what we have observed throughout
- 2:57Speaker 6: our time working with the justice system. And and I
- 3:02Speaker 6: tell you there has to be a change. And and
- 3:06Speaker 6: my question is tonight when will change come? Because it
- 3:12Speaker 6: is not coming, you know. And we keep looking to
- 3:16Speaker 6: people to treat us fairly, to treat us different, and
- 3:20Speaker 6: to allow the system to work when we know that
- 3:25Speaker 6: this system has not been designed for us. So it
- 3:29Speaker 6: is time for us to really to boots on the
- 3:33Speaker 6: ground and get really involved in our lives. I'm not
- 3:38Speaker 6: even gonna say our communities, but our lives.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Our lives start.
- 3:45Speaker 6: With each and every one of us individually, and then
- 3:48Speaker 6: we can expand out to the communities.
- 3:50Speaker 5: But what are we going to do.
- 3:52Speaker 6: Individually to make a difference and to begin to be
- 3:58Speaker 6: that change that we truly want to see in this world?
- 4:01Speaker 6: I tell you one thing, And you know, people keep
- 4:05Speaker 6: telling me I need to I need to pursue this,
- 4:09Speaker 6: this this different walk, and today really makes me want
- 4:13Speaker 6: to pursue this different walk.
- 4:16Speaker 5: But I can't be quiet no more.
- 4:18Speaker 6: You know, I thought advocating and doing the things that
- 4:22Speaker 6: we were doing was making a difference, But it looks like,
- 4:27Speaker 6: you know, what more can I do? You know what
- 4:30Speaker 6: more can I do to really begin to see change?
- 4:34Speaker 6: You know a lot of us we don't never see
- 4:37Speaker 6: the change that we work hard for. But I want
- 4:41Speaker 6: to see change, and I want to see it while
- 4:44Speaker 6: I'm here. I don't want to wait till I'm going
- 4:47Speaker 6: like my ancestors, because a lot of them they prayed
- 4:50Speaker 6: and they believe for a black president, and a lot
- 4:53Speaker 6: of them didn't get to see that. But I want
- 4:56Speaker 6: to see our lives mattering before I'm not here no more.
- 5:01Speaker 6: I want to see change while I can enjoy it
- 5:06Speaker 6: with the ones that I'm fighting for that's coming after me.
- 5:11Speaker 6: It has to come because justice is not fair. What
- 5:18Speaker 6: does justice look like for a black person? Because we
- 5:23Speaker 6: definitely see that it is not fair, and we see
- 5:26Speaker 6: that if you are another race, it always look different.
- 5:33Speaker 6: So tonight we're gonna talk about that. I'm gonna let
- 5:36Speaker 6: Chanett come on in and share her perspectives. But I
- 5:40Speaker 6: want y'all to share this out with somebody, because tonight
- 5:44Speaker 6: we need the truth to come forth, and we need
- 5:47Speaker 6: to begin to walk in these things and begin to.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Really get active.
- 5:53Speaker 6: That means a lot of us, a lot of us
- 5:57Speaker 6: don't go to our city council. A lot of us
- 5:59Speaker 6: don't go to a lot of us don't even vote locally.
- 6:03Speaker 6: We wait to the big the big time to vote
- 6:07Speaker 6: before we go vote, but we don't go to our
- 6:09Speaker 6: city hall meetings. We don't get involved in what's going
- 6:13Speaker 6: on with the police department, the fire department, the EMTs,
- 6:17Speaker 6: everything that affects your community.
- 6:19Speaker 5: We don't get involved in.
- 6:20Speaker 6: We don't go sit on the school boards so that
- 6:22Speaker 6: we can see what's going on in our community.
- 6:25Speaker 5: But when something comes up, we'd be the first ones
- 6:29Speaker 5: to complain. Y'all.
- 6:31Speaker 6: We got to get more involved. We got to see
- 6:34Speaker 6: more representation, because there's no way that there should be
- 6:38Speaker 6: an all white tea jury. There's no way it should
- 6:44Speaker 6: be all white, jewelry, Hispanic whatever, with no black representation.
- 6:49Speaker 5: And that was fair. Ain't no way that was fair.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Ain't no way that was fair was that talk about it.
- 6:56Speaker 6: We're gonna get deep into it set come on in
- 6:59Speaker 6: a show. I didn't even introduce myself, so I hope
- 7:02Speaker 6: they know what They already know who you are. You know,
- 7:08Speaker 6: get a evenion everybody. My name is Sett Johnson and
- 7:11Speaker 6: I'm the host of Let's Talk About It, where we
- 7:14Speaker 6: talk about brown for conviction, grief, whatever it may be.
- 7:18Speaker 6: We're gonna talk about it on today. Me and Angela
- 7:25Speaker 6: was listening in for the verdict when we found out
- 7:29Speaker 6: the verdict was coming back, and deep down inside I
- 7:36Speaker 6: knew Carmelo was not going to get a fair trial
- 7:41Speaker 6: because of the juror the juror makeup.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Over there in Texas, it's had been.
- 7:49Speaker 6: That every male black mail or brown male, Hispanic male
- 7:56Speaker 6: that goes to court on chy just like this always
- 8:02Speaker 6: get a white jury. It's never a jury of their peers.
- 8:07Speaker 6: When it states that they should have a jury of
- 8:12Speaker 6: their peers, they never get a jury of their peer.
- 8:17Speaker 6: We just seen recently, I believe over in Mississippi it
- 8:21Speaker 6: was a black male sitting on death row and because
- 8:28Speaker 6: he didn't have a jury of his peers, he took
- 8:31Speaker 6: it all the way to the Supreme court, and the
- 8:33Speaker 6: Supreme Court turned it over where he's getting a new
- 8:38Speaker 6: trial with a jury of his peers. This is something else.
- 8:47Speaker 6: We have to talk to our young men and our
- 8:52Speaker 6: young women to let them know that our lives matter.
- 9:00Speaker 6: People of color, life do matter, no matter what the
- 9:05Speaker 6: other excellent groups may say. Our lives do matter, and
- 9:10Speaker 6: it has to matter with us first in order for
- 9:14Speaker 6: them to take us serious. So, you know, young people,
- 9:18Speaker 6: I'm definitely speaking to you guys because you are our future.
- 9:23Speaker 6: You know, you guys got to hold it together. You
- 9:29Speaker 6: guys got to get out there and make your voice heard.
- 9:33Speaker 6: Not out there with violence, not out there, un alive
- 9:40Speaker 6: in one another. We have to say enough is enough.
- 9:46Speaker 6: I have four grandsons from the ages fourteen down to five.
- 9:55Speaker 6: I have to sit and talk to them and let
- 10:00Speaker 6: them know that their lives matter. I'm not trying to
- 10:03Speaker 6: raise them to to or help their parents raise them
- 10:09Speaker 6: saying that it's okay to let another another.
- 10:14Speaker 7: Race treat you badly and you just walk away.
- 10:16Speaker 6: You just tuck your tail and you walk away because
- 10:19Speaker 6: of the justice system don't work for you.
- 10:22Speaker 7: No, I'm teaching.
- 10:23Speaker 6: We're going to teach them how to be strong Black
- 10:26Speaker 6: men to stand up for what's right and walk into
- 10:30Speaker 6: their God give, God given authority. That's what we're gonna
- 10:36Speaker 6: instill into my grand my grandson. My son is no
- 10:40Speaker 6: longer here, and I always talk to him, you know,
- 10:46Speaker 6: about his about his anger. Because you do something to him,
- 10:55Speaker 6: He's not gonna just calm down. He's going to react
- 11:01Speaker 6: on it. That's how he was when he was when
- 11:05Speaker 6: he was here. This is this is such a hard day.
- 11:11Speaker 6: You know, I cried. I even cried when Rick chew
- 11:17Speaker 6: Child I guess that's his name. Verdict came in. So
- 11:22Speaker 6: you're telling me that our children's life are less than
- 11:30Speaker 6: a water bottle. You hunted, They hunted him down. They
- 11:37Speaker 6: chased that baby down, and they shot him in the back.
- 11:42Speaker 6: I don't know if the jury heard that. This was
- 11:46Speaker 6: not his first rodeo of him doing anything like that.
- 11:50Speaker 6: This is his third time he did a person of
- 11:53Speaker 6: color like that. He shot him, but this baby passed away.
- 11:57Speaker 6: We can also go back to the hurling back in
- 12:02Speaker 6: ninety one out here in Los Angeles, California, where she
- 12:09Speaker 6: picked up a bottle of orange juice and she put
- 12:12Speaker 6: it in her backpack, and she had the two dollars
- 12:14Speaker 6: in her hand. The lady of the store thought she
- 12:19Speaker 6: was stealing, but she wasn't, and she tried to take
- 12:22Speaker 6: the orange juice out of Natasha's backpack. In the midst
- 12:28Speaker 6: of that, they got into a tug tuggo, so Natasha
- 12:33Speaker 6: would in her backpack and took the orange juice out,
- 12:36Speaker 6: set it on the corner on the counter, and began
- 12:40Speaker 6: to walk out.
- 12:41Speaker 7: The lady went up.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Under the cabinet and pulled out a gun, and as
- 12:47Speaker 6: Natasha was walking out, she shot her in the back
- 12:51Speaker 6: of the head. And the sad part about child, it's
- 12:57Speaker 6: rick child that is here in South Carolina where I'm from,
- 13:02Speaker 6: happened in our capital, Colombia. That baby had left that
- 13:08Speaker 6: store and was football felled away from the store. They
- 13:12Speaker 6: chased that baby down, shot him in the back and
- 13:15Speaker 6: he got off. Shot him in the back and he
- 13:19Speaker 6: got off with self defense. How is it self defense
- 13:22Speaker 6: when someone is running away from you. So many lives,
- 13:27Speaker 6: so many lives have been shared, and the fact that
- 13:32Speaker 6: Carmelo's case went the way that it went, I am
- 13:35Speaker 6: a paull. I'm disapping it. I cried, because there was
- 13:41Speaker 6: no way that that verdict should have came back The
- 13:43Speaker 6: way that it came. There's no way that the prosecutor
- 13:47Speaker 6: that that prosecuting side did not make their claim of murder.
- 13:52Speaker 5: One.
- 13:52Speaker 6: They did not make their claim, you know, and the
- 13:55Speaker 6: fact that every last one of their witnesses got up
- 13:59Speaker 6: there and lied. They got up there and lied on
- 14:01Speaker 6: the stand, and it was brought to their attention that
- 14:04Speaker 6: they were lying. You know, if you go back and
- 14:07Speaker 6: you compare the police reports of what was taking at
- 14:11Speaker 6: the scene, and you compared up to what these people,
- 14:15Speaker 6: what these kids said in court, it did not match.
- 14:19Speaker 5: All of them lied.
- 14:20Speaker 6: They all took Hunter away from the scene, like Hunter
- 14:25Speaker 6: didn't go up there. They tried to blame it on
- 14:27Speaker 6: Austin because Austin is no longer here to speak for himself,
- 14:32Speaker 6: so they blamed everything on Austin. When Hunter pacifically said
- 14:35Speaker 6: in three interviews news interviews, and we had recordings of
- 14:40Speaker 6: these news interviews, what he pacifically said, me, my brother
- 14:46Speaker 6: and two friends. He asked Carmelo to move, and then
- 14:52Speaker 6: his brother came, his brother came after him.
- 14:56Speaker 5: But yet he put everybody that came up on their stand.
- 15:00Speaker 6: And yet Hunter did not take the stand at all,
- 15:03Speaker 6: did not take the stand at all. But Hunter Hunter
- 15:09Speaker 6: in every interview, all three interviews, he said it, but
- 15:14Speaker 6: we all know what this is about because we see
- 15:17Speaker 6: what happens in Texas. We have seen what was happening
- 15:20Speaker 6: in Texas. What drew me to this case from the beginning, Shinet,
- 15:24Speaker 6: was the fact that we have been working with people
- 15:26Speaker 6: in Texas and we knew what has been going on
- 15:30Speaker 6: in the system here in Texas.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Like people when I get up on these panels and
- 15:34Speaker 5: I used to.
- 15:35Speaker 6: Say stuff, people used to tell me that I didn't
- 15:37Speaker 6: know what I was talking about.
- 15:39Speaker 5: But yet we work with these people.
- 15:42Speaker 6: We see what has been happening with people that are
- 15:44Speaker 6: behind prison Wall's right now. So I'm over there telling
- 15:47Speaker 6: them now that he need to get his money back
- 15:51Speaker 6: for ineffective counsel. They tell me you can't do that. Yes
- 15:54Speaker 6: you can, because guess we just had somebody that did it.
- 15:58Speaker 6: Somebody just filed the motion and got back over twenty
- 16:00Speaker 6: thousand dollars for ineffective counsel. When they say no, you
- 16:03Speaker 6: cannot do it, that you can see. I don't say
- 16:06Speaker 6: a lot of stuff because people act like you don't know.
- 16:09Speaker 6: I always stay in the background. Yeah, I listen to
- 16:13Speaker 6: these panels I listen to a lot of stuff. I
- 16:15Speaker 6: hardly ever say anything, but I listen. But I know
- 16:18Speaker 6: what we have been doing. I know what we.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Hear every day on a day to day basis.
- 16:23Speaker 6: I just got off the phone with someone inside of PDCJ.
- 16:29Speaker 7: And you know.
- 16:31Speaker 6: They they came on the podcast with us, and you
- 16:37Speaker 6: guys always know we had James Legate. Mister Legate. It's
- 16:44Speaker 6: telling you. All of them is telling you, guys what's
- 16:47Speaker 6: going on. All of them even stated that.
- 16:50Speaker 7: They did not.
- 16:52Speaker 6: Have a jury of their peers. And if you look
- 16:57Speaker 6: at every last one of them, they're always see. What
- 17:01Speaker 6: I have learned is if you don't got money, you're
- 17:05Speaker 6: gonna become a part of that system. And then some
- 17:07Speaker 6: of them they gonna make it if you if you us,
- 17:09Speaker 6: we don't. They don't care if you got money or not.
- 17:12Speaker 6: They don't care if you got money or not. They
- 17:14Speaker 6: still gonna railroad you yes' the all white jewelry And
- 17:18Speaker 6: then they say, oh, it's not all white because they
- 17:20Speaker 6: got Asian on there, they got Hispanics on there, they
- 17:23Speaker 6: got whatever whatever next ethnic group they got on there.
- 17:27Speaker 6: But what do they identify as? They identify as white.
- 17:31Speaker 6: Because when you go on there and you check what
- 17:33Speaker 6: is it? They identify as white, they don't identify as black,
- 17:38Speaker 6: And if they're not your peers, how can they How
- 17:42Speaker 6: can they relate to you? If you never if you
- 17:46Speaker 6: never experienced some of the things that I have experienced,
- 17:49Speaker 6: how can you relate to me? If you've never been
- 17:53Speaker 6: watched when you go in stoves, they never been profiled,
- 17:56Speaker 6: If you've never been looked at like you're stealing something,
- 17:58Speaker 6: how can you relate? You can't, you can't relate. And
- 18:03Speaker 6: you know some of the comments, you know, I had
- 18:07Speaker 6: came on social media for a while because I would
- 18:12Speaker 6: get so upset. I would be my heart will started
- 18:15Speaker 6: racing and everything. I just be wanting to cry because
- 18:19Speaker 6: to see all the racism out there, how they're saying
- 18:24Speaker 6: the parents should have raised their child better, or where
- 18:28Speaker 6: is the father at and all of this stuff. You
- 18:31Speaker 6: want to know where what happened to our black men?
- 18:35Speaker 6: Let's take when in order for back. Let's go all
- 18:39Speaker 6: the way back.
- 18:40Speaker 5: Yeah, let's talk about when.
- 18:43Speaker 6: There was Yeah, the black father, the black father was
- 18:48Speaker 6: in the house with his family. But then when if
- 18:54Speaker 6: you had got if a mother needed to get public assistance,
- 18:59Speaker 6: hey are housing guess what that's when the father couldn't
- 19:04Speaker 6: be no longer in the house.
- 19:08Speaker 5: But they did. They didn't make the white parents didn't
- 19:11Speaker 5: have to move.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Yeah, all you gotta do is do your research because.
- 19:16Speaker 5: I'm in section.
- 19:18Speaker 6: They and still be in the house and they could
- 19:21Speaker 6: be married. But let a black get well, you.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Can't have a husband. You can't have a husband, astance,
- 19:28Speaker 5: you can't have a husband. But that's why they have done.
- 19:31Speaker 5: They have everything that they have done.
- 19:33Speaker 6: They took they took the father out of the household.
- 19:37Speaker 6: Come on, people, do your research before you start flapping
- 19:41Speaker 6: off on a behind these screens and stuff. Ask them
- 19:44Speaker 6: where our black male is at.
- 19:47Speaker 5: They know where they at because they put them there.
- 19:49Speaker 5: And always.
- 19:52Speaker 6: To make your thirteen percent thirteen percent, we have more
- 20:00Speaker 6: are black male that's incarcerated then that's out here on
- 20:05Speaker 6: the streets, and half of them more in there wrongfully,
- 20:12Speaker 6: wrongfully and they do the most time out of any
- 20:18Speaker 6: ethnic group on a wrongful conviction. So before you get
- 20:27Speaker 6: on here talking about where are the black where's the
- 20:30Speaker 6: black men at? Do your research and you find out
- 20:35Speaker 6: they were in the house until y'all the government want
- 20:39Speaker 6: to start giving stipulation for a person that was in
- 20:44Speaker 6: need that they're uh their their father couldn't be in
- 20:47Speaker 6: the house. Luckily, my father was in the house with us.
- 20:53Speaker 6: He raised they were I'll come from a two parent
- 20:56Speaker 6: hounst and and and they don't understand that a lot
- 21:03Speaker 6: of the things that they've done, it still didn't break us.
- 21:07Speaker 6: You know, if you look at statistics today, there are
- 21:11Speaker 6: more two parent homes in the black community than it
- 21:16Speaker 6: is in the white community.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Now because we're tired, We're tired.
- 21:21Speaker 6: Of all of the stigmas, were tired of all the scenarios.
- 21:24Speaker 6: We're tired of all of the things that are happening.
- 21:28Speaker 6: And when you get tired, you have to begin to
- 21:31Speaker 6: do something about it. You know, we have to be
- 21:34Speaker 6: that change that we want to see and in this world.
- 21:38Speaker 6: And what does that look like right now? Right now?
- 21:43Speaker 6: That looks like, what are we gonna do for Camelo?
- 21:47Speaker 6: What are we gonna do for Christian Nie Highs? What
- 21:50Speaker 6: are we gonna do for all of these individuals that
- 21:54Speaker 6: are wrongfully and overly incarcerated James logate Le, Kendrick Nord,
- 22:01Speaker 6: Adonis Washington, Eugene Earl Bryant, Glenn kemp One Johnson, What
- 22:10Speaker 6: what are we gonna do for names of people like
- 22:13Speaker 6: that that have been wrongfully incarcerated, overly incarcerated for crimes
- 22:17Speaker 6: that they not they did not commit because of the
- 22:20Speaker 6: judicial system that was not designed for us.
- 22:26Speaker 5: It no't matter what we do.
- 22:27Speaker 6: It seems like the more and more we try, the
- 22:31Speaker 6: harder and harder they try to break us, and then
- 22:33Speaker 6: they walk around. It seemed like things have just really
- 22:36Speaker 6: gotten out of control since we got that number forty seven,
- 22:39Speaker 6: that Orange man. We see what happened with January the sixth,
- 22:45Speaker 6: and they made it seem okay. But what are we
- 22:50Speaker 6: gonna do as a people? What are we gonna do
- 22:53Speaker 6: as a people to say enough is truly enough and
- 22:56Speaker 6: and not continue to allow these people to do what
- 23:00Speaker 6: they do within our judicial system. We have to come
- 23:04Speaker 6: together as one. It's a lot of people out here
- 23:09Speaker 6: that do not utilize the gifts and talents that they have.
- 23:13Speaker 6: People have they they got, They got some of the
- 23:18Speaker 6: most intelligent. They can speak well, they can debate, they

- 35:01Speaker 6: It's time out to stop sitting and letting everybody go
- 35:04Speaker 6: vote and allowing all these people to take office. It's
- 35:07Speaker 6: time for us to get in office. It's time for
- 35:10Speaker 6: us to take over. It's time for us to do
- 35:12Speaker 6: what we're supposed to do. And if they don't want
- 35:15Speaker 6: to elect us, we gotta learn how to form our
- 35:17Speaker 6: own stuff. We gotta learn how to form our own government.
- 35:20Speaker 6: We gotta learn how to do something outside of falling
- 35:24Speaker 6: and continuing to do the same old stuff because it's insanity.
- 35:29Speaker 6: We continue to rely on the judicial system. The judicial
- 35:33Speaker 6: system that's not working for us. It's failing us every

- 37:07Speaker 6: the unjustice. Everybody saw it. You have to be blind
- 37:12Speaker 6: not to see it. A blind person could hear it.
- 37:22Speaker 6: It's no excuse, it's no excuse.
- 37:26Speaker 7: My head hurt. And then.
- 37:33Speaker 6: Stop saying your vote don't count. We can get these judges.

- 38:25Speaker 6: his last case he was sitting on. She's a prosecutor,
- 38:28Speaker 6: this lady that's talking right now as a prosecutor.
- 38:31Speaker 7: And she said, that's sad man while he thirty five

- 42:28Speaker 7: Yeah, but no, yep, h h.
- 43:10Speaker 6: There ain't nobody they they're not gonna commit. They're not
- 43:13Speaker 6: gonna commit. They don't want to come together. They want
- 43:17Speaker 6: to keep going and spending their dollars with other people.
- 43:19Speaker 5: Were the ones that won't change will and the ones
- 43:22Speaker 5: that don't they ain't got to so they can keep
- 43:25Speaker 5: going along with these people. But I'm not.
- 43:30Speaker 6: Better learn how to do do do stuff for yourself,

- 44:15Speaker 6: see when the shoe is on your foot, on your foot,
- 44:20Speaker 6: would you laugh. Let's see if you laugh if you

- 44:29Speaker 6: Let's see if you laugh if you if one of
- 44:32Speaker 6: your children, grandchild got sending to a time like that
- 44:36Speaker 6: wrongfully That baby is wrongfully convicted. Another one wrong another

- 45:03Speaker 5: Man.
- 45:04Speaker 7: We just come together as one.
- 45:09Speaker 6: As one. We gotta talk to our young men and
- 45:19Speaker 6: our young women. We have to talk to him, my lord,
- 45:42Speaker 6: we gotta talk to him.
- 45:46Speaker 7: The heart is hurt right down.
- 45:48Speaker 5: It's just I just can't believe that this is like,
- 45:55Speaker 5: this is the truth.
- 45:56Speaker 12: We know.
- 45:59Speaker 5: That video. Everybody.
- 46:01Speaker 6: You can't change what people saw and we know that,
- 46:06Speaker 6: like how I'm just not I just can't wrap my
- 46:10Speaker 6: hands around this when you.
- 46:12Speaker 5: Know that people know the truth and yet you still
- 46:14Speaker 5: do what you do. How did these people sleep that night?
- 46:19Speaker 6: How these people gonna holland know that he's the reason
- 46:22Speaker 6: why his brother's not here, He know that he started
- 46:25Speaker 6: this and everybody that.
- 46:27Speaker 5: Went along with that.
- 46:28Speaker 6: How do these people sleep that night, even that got
- 46:32Speaker 6: up there on that stand and said that he did
- 46:34Speaker 6: not know Camello, said he didn't know Camello.
- 46:37Speaker 5: And then when they pulled out the pictures and proved
- 46:40Speaker 5: that he knew.
- 46:41Speaker 6: Camello, that him and Camelo had been at their house together,
- 46:44Speaker 6: Kamelo been to his grandmother's birthday, his mother birthday, they
- 46:48Speaker 6: had pictures together.
- 46:49Speaker 5: He lied on the stand, Yet.
- 46:53Speaker 6: Y'all still believe them. Every last one of them got
- 46:57Speaker 6: up there and lied. Every last one of them got
- 46:59Speaker 6: up there and changed the story that they told on
- 47:02Speaker 6: that police report. But when everybody was debating this case,
- 47:07Speaker 6: there was the relying on that police report. The police
- 47:10Speaker 6: report was telling the truth. But when these kids look
- 47:13Speaker 6: up the lie, then these kids, these kids ain't lying.
- 47:17Speaker 6: They telling the truth. The police report was lying.
- 47:20Speaker 7: No, it doesn't have nothing new.
- 47:23Speaker 6: I don't think that they they the jurors that they
- 47:27Speaker 6: sat on there listen to the evidence I believe they
- 47:30Speaker 6: already had their mind made up.
- 47:33Speaker 7: Their mind was already made up.
- 47:38Speaker 5: That's what that judge.
- 47:42Speaker 7: That judge already knew what he was gonna sentence.
- 47:46Speaker 5: His last case. This was we don't have no more cases.
- 47:50Speaker 5: This is his last case.
- 47:52Speaker 6: But I bet you it's gonna come. A picture is
- 47:55Speaker 6: gonna a picture is gonna be revealed with him. The
- 48:01Speaker 6: andy already been circulating. They're gonna be right. He said
- 48:09Speaker 6: that he his bias had nothing to do with he
- 48:12Speaker 6: was he would be fair on this case.
- 48:13Speaker 5: But there's so many things that he messed up on.
- 48:16Speaker 6: But see what they relying on is people to not
- 48:19Speaker 6: know the law and people to not know how to
- 48:22Speaker 6: fight for stuff. But he failed to realize that we
- 48:25Speaker 6: don't just we don't just talk. We are true advocates.
- 48:29Speaker 6: We we know how to do research, and we know
- 48:31Speaker 6: people that really know how to do research. Please, I'm
- 48:38Speaker 6: about to call Sharer in just a minute, and I'm
- 48:40Speaker 6: about to Yeah, I'm about to get on the phone
- 48:43Speaker 6: with seat.
- 48:48Speaker 5: That's her lawyer, that's our lawyer. Oh yeah, I got
- 48:52Speaker 5: to get on the phone with her.
- 48:56Speaker 7: But it makes no sense.
- 48:59Speaker 5: It makes sense.
- 49:00Speaker 6: You can't keep sitting back and allowing this to happen.
- 49:04Speaker 6: So it's gonna have to be it's gonna have to
- 49:06Speaker 6: be some major changes, and and it's gonna have to
- 49:09Speaker 6: start with our dollars. See a lot of us we
- 49:11Speaker 6: don't wanna.
- 49:11Speaker 5: We don't.
- 49:11Speaker 6: We were so used to running the walmart, were so
- 49:14Speaker 6: used to running the target, were so used to running
- 49:16Speaker 6: to all these places and giving these people our dollar.
- 49:18Speaker 6: And then they want to talk to us any kind
- 49:20Speaker 6: of way. We want to treat us, any kind.
- 49:21Speaker 5: Of way we need to.
- 49:22Speaker 6: I know, sometimes it may be rough treating supporting our own,
- 49:26Speaker 6: but we're gonna have to learn how to support our
- 49:28Speaker 6: own and and and and be nice and public. And
- 49:31Speaker 6: if you got to get with them, you get with
- 49:33Speaker 6: them in private. We got to learn how to go
- 49:36Speaker 6: behind these corners, go behind these these these these walls
- 49:40Speaker 6: sometimes and if we get out of order, we got
- 49:42Speaker 6: to learn how to check ourselves behind the wall instead
- 49:45Speaker 6: of checking ourselves in front of people, because that's what
- 49:48Speaker 6: they do. They think if if if we gonna check ourselves,
- 49:51Speaker 6: then they can check us too. Ain't finna happen no more,
- 49:55Speaker 6: Ain't finna happen no more? But and one of them
- 50:00Speaker 6: trying to check in their minds, and we got to
- 50:06Speaker 6: learn how to stay with each other regardless where we like.
- 50:11Speaker 6: We're gonna have to learn how to go behind them
- 50:13Speaker 6: doors and behind them walls and check each other and
- 50:15Speaker 6: get each other in line.
- 50:16Speaker 5: But in front of them, huh, ain't nothing wrong. Ain't
- 50:21Speaker 5: nothing wrong?
- 50:22Speaker 6: You know, in front we have I know we have
- 50:26Speaker 6: lost a lot of young people, but these last two
- 50:31Speaker 6: cases it should make a parent feel that that's that
- 50:35Speaker 6: their child, that's their child, like a part of them
- 50:39Speaker 6: has left, because.
- 50:40Speaker 7: I know it made me feel. It made me feel

- 51:20Speaker 5: We got community and Acus.
- 51:27Speaker 14: And Carmel and lawyer. Basically, you know, it's tough something
- 51:34Speaker 14: with sudden passion. And he explained alone but he wasn't
- 51:41Speaker 14: super passion. I don't want to say anything wasn't.
- 51:45Speaker 5: Yeah she talking about when they was explaining, what's the
- 51:52Speaker 5: name working?
- 52:00Speaker 4: And you feel a life?
- 52:02Speaker 5: Oh, he said, a life for.
- 52:03Speaker 7: A life a life for a life, and that's what
- 52:08Speaker 7: they feel.
- 52:09Speaker 5: That's how they feel.
- 52:13Speaker 7: So what what happened to Rick? True?
- 52:15Speaker 5: What?
- 52:15Speaker 7: What why he didn't give a life for a life?
- 52:20Speaker 2: I know of course.
- 52:26Speaker 12: Of course, so y'all said that Hunter wasn't there, but
- 52:30Speaker 12: he didn't And how just just for just for how
- 52:36Speaker 12: big is the country in comparison, because.
- 52:43Speaker 7: We now we now know, we know that we know that.
- 52:48Speaker 13: Five seven about one hundred and thirty.
- 52:51Speaker 12: Yeah, well yeah now he comes from but now that
- 52:55Speaker 12: everything is down, he hopped his big ass in there.
- 52:58Speaker 13: I don't give a dad a kid no more, big
- 53:00Speaker 13: ass bitch. Yeah, so he didn't have a big impact.
- 53:08Speaker 5: Did Jeff?
- 53:09Speaker 6: I wanted to Jeff do an impact statement because he
- 53:11Speaker 6: wasn't supposed to do an impact statement that dad, because
- 53:14Speaker 6: he came most tik tok and did the racist rent.
- 53:19Speaker 5: So honest ass.
- 53:28Speaker 2: That I just I just know you.
- 53:34Speaker 5: What's your next?
- 53:35Speaker 10: Dad?
- 53:35Speaker 5: Stephanie?
- 53:36Speaker 13: Do you have a TikTok getting murdered?
- 53:42Speaker 5: Y'all?
- 53:42Speaker 13: Somebody put that in a chat for me, like, y'all
- 53:44Speaker 13: go follow her.
- 53:45Speaker 4: She's a beautiful queen.
- 53:46Speaker 13: I just met her today. Jared, you've been in there
- 53:49Speaker 13: with me every month, so you, yes, tell me, just
- 53:57Speaker 13: tell him a little bit.
- 53:58Speaker 6: About I'm gonna get on. I'm not saying so I
- 54:01Speaker 6: can kind of gather my thoughts, get my thoughts together.
- 54:05Speaker 6: But it's gonna have to be some change, and we
- 54:08Speaker 6: will talk.
- 54:09Speaker 5: We will talk.
- 54:10Speaker 6: We're gonna have to go ahead and get this organization
- 54:12Speaker 6: off the ground so we can really get our hand
- 54:14Speaker 6: do some stuff.
- 54:15Speaker 5: So we're definitely gonna talk behind the scenes and get
- 54:17Speaker 5: some stuff going. But this is a sad day. This
- 54:23Speaker 5: is a sad day.
- 54:24Speaker 6: If you don't mind, if you want to, we'll pray
- 54:28Speaker 6: for Camelo before we leave, pray for his family, and
- 54:35Speaker 6: pray for him before we end this live. I'll start
- 54:39Speaker 6: us off, Father God, in the name of Jesus Or
- 54:44Speaker 6: we thank you, Father. We thank you that in spite
- 54:47Speaker 6: of what is happening in the natural, Lord God, Father,
- 54:49Speaker 6: we know that you're always working behind the scenes. We
- 54:52Speaker 6: know that you're always working in the midst or God,
- 54:55Speaker 6: and Father, we know that you will never allow anything
- 54:59Speaker 6: upon us or God. We know that everything that comes,
- 55:02Speaker 6: Lord God, it is to work together for our good
- 55:05Speaker 6: and to bring you glory, Lord God. So regardless of
- 55:08Speaker 6: what it looked like to us, in the natural. Father,
- 55:10Speaker 6: we know that you are yet working. We know that
- 55:12Speaker 6: you're yet in control, Lord God, and sometimes things have
- 55:15Speaker 6: to come just to shake us up, just to wake
- 55:17Speaker 6: us up, Lord God, just to put us on the
- 55:19Speaker 6: right path for God. So, Father, we're just asking right
- 55:21Speaker 6: now that you will wrap your arms around Kamelo, wrap
- 55:24Speaker 6: your arms around this.
- 55:25Speaker 5: Family, boyd God Father. Allow them to know that.
- 55:27Speaker 6: It is not over until you say it's over. Lord God,
- 55:30Speaker 6: and Father, we thank you for aligning those that you
- 55:32Speaker 6: need to have in place. For a God Father, Continue
- 55:35Speaker 6: to expose, continue to expose the corruption. Continue to bring
- 55:39Speaker 6: to light those that have been corrupted during this time,
- 55:41Speaker 6: Lord God, that allow nobody that brought evil to this
- 55:45Speaker 6: family or did anything underhanded. Lord God, allow no rest
- 55:48Speaker 6: to come upon them, Lord God, but Father, allow them
- 55:51Speaker 6: to be uneased, allow them to be upset, allow nothing
- 55:54Speaker 6: to flow right in their lives, Lord God Father, allow
- 55:57Speaker 6: your justice to flow through Commelo. Lord God Father, give
- 56:00Speaker 6: them peace to wrap your arms around him, give them
- 56:02Speaker 6: peace to surpass our understanding, Lord God, and cover him
- 56:05Speaker 6: from the crown of his head to the souls of
- 56:07Speaker 6: his feet. Rooyd, God Father. Put him in the midst
- 56:09Speaker 6: of people that would help him. Lloyd God and Father,
- 56:12Speaker 6: we asked that you would send the family resources for
- 56:14Speaker 6: a God, resources that will help them on this journey.
- 56:16Speaker 6: Lord god Father, align the people in place Forloy God
- 56:19Speaker 6: that will help them. Bloyd, God and Father, allow this
- 56:22Speaker 6: to pass quickly, Loyd. God allowed the pass swiftly, Lord
- 56:25Speaker 6: God and Father. All those that have spoke evil, all
- 56:29Speaker 6: of those that have had their hands and evil doing,
- 56:31Speaker 6: Lord god Father, we want you to continue to expose them. Father,
- 56:35Speaker 6: Allow Haunter to get no rest, Or god Father, continue,
- 56:38Speaker 6: continue to allow your peace to flow. Looyd, god Father,
- 56:41Speaker 6: allow no Allow Hunter to not get rest, Floyd God Father,
- 56:45Speaker 6: until he comes forth with the truth, Floyd god Father,
- 56:48Speaker 6: let him be uneased, Lord god Father, let none of
- 56:51Speaker 6: that family be at peace. Floyd God for the devilish
- 56:54Speaker 6: things that they have done. Father, we ask that you
- 56:56Speaker 6: continue to expose that Da, Lord God and that assistant Da.
- 56:59Speaker 6: Loyd God and Father, we asked that you were exposed
- 57:02Speaker 6: to judge. Lord god Father, allow things to come out
- 57:04Speaker 6: during this appeal. Lord God and Father, we asked that
- 57:07Speaker 6: you will just comfort the family be with them. Lord
- 57:11Speaker 6: God and Father. We thank you for every person that
- 57:13Speaker 6: has advocated every person that has stood in the gap.
- 57:16Speaker 6: Lord God Father, we thank you for them bringing forth
- 57:19Speaker 6: the truth. Lord God and Father, we know that you
- 57:22Speaker 6: will have the last say, Lord God, so Father, we
- 57:24Speaker 6: thank you right now.
- 57:25Speaker 5: We thank you for the dominique. Lord god Father. We
- 57:29Speaker 5: thank you for his advocacy.
- 57:30Speaker 6: Lord God and Father, we thank you for him donating
- 57:33Speaker 6: the first ten thousand towards Comelod's appeal. Lord God and Father,
- 57:37Speaker 6: we asking that you will allowed to overflow to come.
- 57:39Speaker 6: Lord god Father, allow the funds to be available, Lord
- 57:42Speaker 6: God for that family. Lord God and Father, we asking
- 57:44Speaker 6: that you will wrap your arms around kay Lord Lord
- 57:46Speaker 6: god Father.
- 57:47Speaker 5: That family needs you.
- 57:49Speaker 7: They need you.
- 57:50Speaker 5: Lord and Father. We're asking that you will be in
- 57:52Speaker 5: the miss And this is my prayer and your son

- 58:07Speaker 5: up this thing.
- 58:10Speaker 7: So yeah, I am.
- 58:13Speaker 3: You know.
- 58:18Speaker 7: It's not over. This is not over.
- 58:23Speaker 6: I just wanna say, God is still in the midst
- 58:26Speaker 6: of this. As long as he's on the thrown, it's
- 58:30Speaker 6: not over. God is still writing our story and we're
- 58:34Speaker 6: gonna come through this. And when we come through this,
- 58:40Speaker 6: everybody gonna look back and gonna wonder how we got
- 58:43Speaker 6: over this. We just gotta come together as one. We
- 58:49Speaker 6: got to stop targeting our own, our own people.
- 58:54Speaker 5: We don't need to.
- 58:55Speaker 6: Fight nobody but this justice system. All the hate we
- 59:01Speaker 6: have towards one another. Young people, you don't own no street, corner,
- 59:09Speaker 6: no block. Put the guns down, put them down, and
- 59:17Speaker 6: come together and let's fight this system.
- 59:22Speaker 5: And we got there.
- 59:23Speaker 6: And they need to learn how to keep their hands
- 59:24Speaker 6: to theyself and say the white people to leave us
- 59:27Speaker 6: wrong because we we we are not our ancestors.
- 59:30Speaker 5: And you keep on, You're.
- 59:31Speaker 6: Gonna mess around and find out for real, for real,
- 59:35Speaker 6: for real, for real, but we're gonna leave this. He's
- 59:40Speaker 6: the rebel, She's the rebel. Angela is the rebel. I'm
- 59:43Speaker 6: trying to walk in the spirit. Okay, I'm gonna play this.
- 59:48Speaker 6: I'm on, I'm gonna finish playing this song on our
- 59:50Speaker 6: way out, because this.
- 59:50Speaker 5: Is this is where we at, just this, just the name.
- 59:59Speaker 9: We don't ask for lives, We ask for equal treatments
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: underneath the same skies. Look at every witness, every action,
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: every fact. Don't paint one child guilty while the system turns.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Its back all this should be mourn. Yes, his life
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: was not in vain. Carmello is still a child.
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: Caught inside this bad two families forever change, two future
- 1:00:33Speaker 9: torn apart.
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: But justice must be honest.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: If it's coming from the hall. How many black sons
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: must learn to fear the street?
- 1:00:47Speaker 9: How many black mothers pray when they hear police so
- 1:00:52Speaker 9: how many court rooms will decide before they know that
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: our children are nine monsters.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: They have dreams that need to group.
- 1:01:03Speaker 9: So we say f on her, for the families in
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: this fair for the children, faith and sister that will
- 1:01:12Speaker 9: never built.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Fair Well, we say for truth than healing. We sing
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: against the life, that black pain should be silent.
- 1:01:22Speaker 9: File him, Justice passes by, and justice.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: For our back.
- 1:01:27Speaker 9: It's fairness, the truth and the story gets told by
- 1:01:31Speaker 9: the self.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Defense looks different.
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: For the child is black and booth, a man tall
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: and watching the tired out choke. Names and justice say
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: for everybody, and justice is just the name fo.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Justice for Austin means truth must be known. Justice for Carmelo.
- 1:01:56Speaker 9: These fairness must be shown, no fine, no silence, no
- 1:02:02Speaker 9: system playing games.
