Transcript
- 0:22Speaker 1: Wow, it looks so fresh.
- 0:32Speaker 2: We are the Out of Bound Show, ESPN one oh
- 0:36Speaker 2: five nine The Zone. Good morning to you, Welcome in
- 0:39Speaker 2: the SEC Insider hit. This morning is brought to you
- 0:42Speaker 2: by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Mississippi. It is good
- 0:46Speaker 2: to be Blue. We would like to hear from you
- 0:51Speaker 2: on the Dancing Rabbit golf text line. We have two
- 0:54Speaker 2: questions for you this morning, and we would like to
- 0:57Speaker 2: weigh you to weigh in on your Old Miss rebels
- 1:00Speaker 2: and your Mississippi State Bulldogs. Question for Old Miss, you
- 1:05Speaker 2: don't have to be an Old Mis fan to answer this. Okay,
- 1:10Speaker 2: Old missus ranked top ten with Heisman buzz from Trinidad,
- 1:14Speaker 2: and both are deserved. However, when you look at this
- 1:22Speaker 2: schedule for Old Miss, it is brutal and it's a
- 1:28Speaker 2: whole different ballgame. When you're talking about playing LSU Florida, Texas,
- 1:32Speaker 2: Georgia and Oklahoma. Probably went over that too fast, didn't I.
- 1:36Speaker 2: LSU Florida, Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma. Can you get through that
- 1:42Speaker 2: and get to the playoffs or does that group knock
- 1:47Speaker 2: you out of the playoffs? Does shamblers carry them through
- 1:53Speaker 2: on the Mississippi State side. Jeff Levy is seven and
- 1:58Speaker 2: eighteen in two years. You have to play Bama, LSU,
- 2:04Speaker 2: Oklahoma and Texas, and both of you have gauntlets.
- 2:08Speaker 1: In fact, I think Ole.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Miss on the front end is yeeks and Mississippi State's
- 2:13Speaker 2: run of Alabama at LSU, Oklahoma at Texas. My question is,
- 2:21Speaker 2: can Levy go zero to four in that stretch and
- 2:25Speaker 2: make it or get you to whatever the win total is.
- 2:29Speaker 2: If it's six, that's sad, But if it's six or
- 2:31Speaker 2: seven then, especially because I think the league's.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Going to be even more widered down than it was
- 2:36Speaker 1: last year.
- 2:37Speaker 2: So I think there are so many winnable games, even
- 2:40Speaker 2: for Mississippi State, Arkansas, South Carolina, Kentucky type, Auburn type teams.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I really do. I just don't. There's just you watched
- 2:50Speaker 2: it again. Vanderbilt went ten and two last year. Nothing
- 2:54Speaker 2: about them jumped off the screen at me, other than
- 2:57Speaker 2: when Diego would make some really cool It didn't look
- 3:01Speaker 2: like they were super athletics, super talented, blah blah blah.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Vanderbilt went ten and two last year. Ole Miss went
- 3:10Speaker 2: eleven and one. So this league has been watered down
- 3:17Speaker 2: with the portal. We know that Georgia Obama LSU. Texas
- 3:20Speaker 2: don't have the same depth.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Right. I don't know if Ohio.
- 3:25Speaker 2: State, because they're in a different part of the country,
- 3:26Speaker 2: is going to be able to do that. We they
- 3:33Speaker 2: underachieved last year, so we'll see. I guess they maybe
- 3:37Speaker 2: too many pats on the back coming out of their
- 3:41Speaker 2: national championship year, right two years ago, just too much,
- 3:46Speaker 2: You're awesome, we love you whatever.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:50Speaker 2: We saw that with Mississippi State baseball and Ole Miss
- 3:53Speaker 2: baseball a few years ago. Right, But watching vander I
- 3:59Speaker 2: loved watching Diego Pavia. You know, I don't know if
- 4:01Speaker 2: anyone else other than a Vanderbilt shows talked more about him,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and I like him stylistically.
- 4:07Speaker 1: He's fun to watch.
- 4:08Speaker 2: He put you know, he did things at bandy that
- 4:12Speaker 2: have never been done the last two years, but they
- 4:14Speaker 2: went ten and two. Nothing about them was electric or special.
- 4:20Speaker 2: So back to Old Miss and Mississippi State, you both
- 4:23Speaker 2: have gauntlets. I think the Old Miss thing, the Old
- 4:26Speaker 2: Miss scheduled the first four games is way more challenging
- 4:32Speaker 2: than what you've had.
- 4:34Speaker 1: And you have a new head coach. Now you have.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Obviously top ten talent, okay, but you don't have a
- 4:46Speaker 2: top five head coach and a top ten offensive coordinator
- 4:50Speaker 2: anymore in Lane Kiffin. And that's not just plug and play.
- 4:54Speaker 2: I know we all think so when we lost Eli
- 4:57Speaker 2: or Dak or whatever was going on, I've heard it all.
- 5:00Speaker 2: But are you know when certain coaches have left? But
- 5:08Speaker 2: those are my questions. Is chamless enough to get Old
- 5:11Speaker 2: Miss to the College Football Playoff? Knowing that Ole Miss
- 5:16Speaker 2: plays LSU, Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Oklahoma, that doesn't mean
- 5:20Speaker 2: you can't lose some other games. I mean to other teams,
- 5:24Speaker 2: not all those games you're gonna but those teams have talent.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I know Florida's on you know they will be on
- 5:31Speaker 2: the up and up. But still they got dudes, I promise.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I mean, look at last year. Florida led seventy percent
- 5:38Speaker 2: of the game against Old Miss at home and they
- 5:40Speaker 2: had a guy named Billy Gonzalez as their interim coach.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I mean, they had no idea what they were doing
- 5:48Speaker 2: on offense. So Ole Miss plays LSU, Florida, Texas, Georgia,
- 5:52Speaker 2: and Oklahoma. Is chamless enough to carry them through the
- 5:59Speaker 2: Golden Moon Casino tech line is six oh one eight eight, five, three, seven,
- 6:04Speaker 2: seven six. Your SEC Insider Hit this morning is brought
- 6:09Speaker 2: to you by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Mississippi. It's
- 6:12Speaker 2: good to be blue, the official healthcare provider of the
- 6:14Speaker 2: Out of Bound Show, Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Mississippi.
- 6:17Speaker 2: So there's that question with Ole miss and a tougher
- 6:21Speaker 2: non con game, right, I mean last year Washington State
- 6:24Speaker 2: at home was like playing wes Monroe Tech. And then
- 6:31Speaker 2: the question for Mississippi State, Jeff Levy is seven and
- 6:34Speaker 2: eighteen in two years. But you played Bama lsu OU
- 6:39Speaker 2: in Texas? Ou is Oklahoma. You played Bama lsu OU
- 6:44Speaker 2: in Texas? Can can you navigate that they're all in
- 6:55Speaker 2: a row? By the way, there's there's still some land
- 6:58Speaker 2: mines on each side. Again, Old Misses at the end,
- 7:02Speaker 2: they would be considered one of the top ten top
- 7:05Speaker 2: teams you play on your schedule this year. You know,
- 7:10Speaker 2: of course, for Old miss you're one of the bottom
- 7:12Speaker 2: teams that they play this year. In fact, if you
- 7:16Speaker 2: wanted to go Old Misses, Okay, So yeah, you would
- 7:25Speaker 2: be considered the easiest game conference.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Game on the schedule. Yeah, is that fair? Yeah? Yeah?
- 7:32Speaker 1: And then and then what at Vanderbilt and Auburn at home? Okay?
- 7:42Speaker 2: So, But but for for Old you know, Mississippi State
- 7:47Speaker 2: Ole Miss is one of the most difficult games you're playing. Yeah,
- 7:52Speaker 2: you could argue it's at Old Miss. You could argue
- 7:55Speaker 2: it's the most difficult. Well, yeah, at LSU at Old
- 7:59Speaker 2: Miss and at Texas good God, and Bama and Oklahoma
- 8:03Speaker 2: at home. Why have I not looked at it like this?
- 8:07Speaker 2: I keep thinking, there's just an unbelievable path here for
- 8:11Speaker 2: Levy to with in a super water down SEC get
- 8:15Speaker 2: to get I just don't think it's herculean to get
- 8:17Speaker 2: to six or seven wins. Those first four are more
- 8:21Speaker 2: than manageable. But then it gets gross. For Missouri. You
- 8:26Speaker 2: play Missouri, Alabama, at LSU, Oklahoma at Texas, and if
- 8:33Speaker 2: you can, I don't know, survive that whatever that looks like.
- 8:35Speaker 2: You get three at home for Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Auburn,
- 8:40Speaker 2: Tennessee Tech. Those are all winnable. And then you go
- 8:43Speaker 2: play a top ten team and Old I mean a
- 8:47Speaker 2: top A team with top ten talent. I don't know
- 8:49Speaker 2: where Old Miss will be. They could easily have three losses,
- 8:53Speaker 2: if not four, going into that game. They could have
- 8:55Speaker 2: two or three going into that game. Hey taste Italian
- 9:01Speaker 2: Kitchen opened up their raza and so I say it's outdoor,
- 9:06Speaker 2: but if you drive by the Renaissance you've seen taste
- 9:11Speaker 2: Italian Kitchen. It's over there on the kind of I
- 9:15Speaker 2: fifty five south side.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Of the Renaissance development.
- 9:19Speaker 2: And we've talked about their super awesome menu from wood
- 9:23Speaker 2: fired pieces to pastas to terra masouda bolonnetise and so on. Well,
- 9:29Speaker 2: they they have opened up this out it's basically another
- 9:34Speaker 2: restaurant that's connected that you walk through this really cool
- 9:38Speaker 2: corridor and it is a beautiful bar and seeding.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You can have a rehearsal dinner there. Huge. I was
- 9:46Speaker 1: there yesterday. They just opened it yesterday. So they've got so.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Many these air conditioning misters in there. But now, I
- 9:53Speaker 2: mean it's covered, it's got a roof and everything. So
- 9:57Speaker 2: it's going to be amazing. And it is amazing and
- 10:00Speaker 2: you can I mean again, bar food, you can get
- 10:03Speaker 2: it out there. It's really nice. You're gonna want to
- 10:06Speaker 2: check it out. It'll lead the state in Afarol, Sprits's
- 10:09Speaker 2: and you know girls' night out, which then guys go,
- 10:14Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's got the vibe you don't feel
- 10:17Speaker 2: like you're in Jackson, Mississippi. You look out, you're like
- 10:20Speaker 2: where you know. It's it's got a it's got a
- 10:23Speaker 2: Miami type feel. It's the lighting is amazing.
- 10:27Speaker 1: That the core. You need to check it out. Charaza
- 10:32Speaker 1: and it's cool, very very cool. So we've told you.
- 10:37Speaker 2: About all the shrimp, shrimp scampy and fried calamari. It
- 10:40Speaker 2: tastes the Italian Kitchen. Now their new indoor outdoor space
- 10:47Speaker 2: that's totally covered and has all these cool things is open.
- 10:50Speaker 2: It's a bar and restaurant, basically another one attached to
- 10:55Speaker 2: taste the Italian Kitchen.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Love that, Yeah, Chiaza, that's pretty cool. I like that.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I mean Taza. Sorry, yeah, my bad.
- 11:05Speaker 2: All right, So let's go to the Do we have
- 11:08Speaker 2: any MVPs this morning? Let's do an out of bounds
- 11:11Speaker 2: roll call? How are you listening? Where are you listening from?
- 11:14Speaker 2: What do you think about my questions?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Mac is weighing in from I think Seagrove somewhere around there.
- 11:21Speaker 2: On thirty eight and uh, we shipped Mac a couple
- 11:25Speaker 2: of whiskey sixty one hats no a whiskey sixty one
- 11:28Speaker 2: hat a whiskey sixty one pullover and a Whiskey sixty
- 11:34Speaker 2: one T shirt. Mac was kind of enough to send
- 11:39Speaker 2: us something awesome, so very kind of him. Mac says,
- 11:44Speaker 2: Ole Miss is eight and four ten and two, So
- 11:46Speaker 2: I'll go with nine and three.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I think that's about right.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you have a much much better chance to go
- 11:53Speaker 2: eight and four nine and three, way way way better
- 11:57Speaker 2: odds percentage than ten and two. I just that with
- 12:00Speaker 2: this schedule, I don't see it, new coach, this schedule
- 12:05Speaker 2: having to play LSU, Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Oklahoma, and
- 12:09Speaker 2: there's a couple, there's some other teams that could give
- 12:11Speaker 2: you some problems. I do not see ten and two
- 12:15Speaker 2: Mississippi State. For whatever reason, I thought their schedule was manageable.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Maybe I was comparing it to the last two years
- 12:21Speaker 2: where they got absolutely you know what. But then Jackson
- 12:26Speaker 2: I started looking at it piece by piece, and I'm
- 12:29Speaker 2: sitting here going, what the hell just happened?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Right?
- 12:32Speaker 2: But those first four is where Leby makes hey and
- 12:36Speaker 2: then those three that I mentioned on the back end
- 12:38Speaker 2: before Ole Miss at home in November, which you get
- 12:41Speaker 2: some great November games. I don't know how many of
- 12:43Speaker 2: you care if you're losing, but if you're still doing
- 12:45Speaker 2: some good things, which is very possible. In the superwater
- 12:48Speaker 2: down SEC you got Vanderbilt at home, super winnable for Levy,
- 12:53Speaker 2: Auburn at home, super winnable for Levy, and then Tennessee Tech.
- 12:58Speaker 2: So I mean that's you could get some feel good
- 13:00Speaker 2: mojo there at the end. But the deal will be
- 13:02Speaker 2: your first four live and row dub Tom Lougan Bill
- 13:05Speaker 2: will be calling that game, which is cool.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Then you go at Minnesota. You're better than them.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Okay, you're you're thirty, you're thirty second in composite ole
- 13:15Speaker 2: missus top ten, but you're now you're now around thirty
- 13:18Speaker 2: second in composite nil high school recruiting. Minnesota's forty ninth,
- 13:24Speaker 2: all right, And so then you go to South Carolina,
- 13:28Speaker 2: they're around twentieth composite recruiting in IL. Okay, you're thirty second.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Then you come home and Missouri's there and they're in
- 13:39Speaker 2: the they're twenty to twenty five. So these again, these
- 13:41Speaker 2: are not like jump off the page, holy smokes.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Good teams.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Sure, Minnesota, South Carolina, Missouri, those are you know, got
- 13:51Speaker 2: some good you know, they've got some good players. In
- 13:53Speaker 2: some spots, but there you've spent thirty million. You know,
- 13:56Speaker 2: find I've been saying this for months. People are like.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Mister U Stag spent like twelve bucks on their.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Now Andy Staples comes out and goes Mississippi State spent
- 14:04Speaker 2: thirty million on their roster. Yes, Andy, We've been talking
- 14:06Speaker 2: about that since February. Yes, Mississippi State spent thirty and
- 14:10Speaker 2: could have spent five more million, or seven more million,
- 14:14Speaker 2: or ten more million, but yes, that is a more
- 14:17Speaker 2: than competitive fifteen million last year to go five and seven.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Didn't spend all your money the year before because someone
- 14:25Speaker 2: and Levy weren't prepared to go tackle the porter. They
- 14:28Speaker 2: went and chased a high school class. I think that
- 14:30Speaker 2: could be, you know, the one thing that gets you
- 14:33Speaker 2: at the end of the day. But Levy's got a chance.
- 14:35Speaker 2: The front and the back of the schedule has super
- 14:40Speaker 2: winnable games. That middle part and I'm and I'm not
- 14:46Speaker 2: giving Ole miss a pass either. It's a brutal, brutal
- 14:49Speaker 2: so they're gonna be beat to Helen back too. I mean,
- 14:53Speaker 2: if you want to talk physicality index, how are you
- 14:57Speaker 2: going to get through this?
- 15:00Speaker 1: Oh? I don't know.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I mean I hope your strength and conditioning has been
- 15:06Speaker 2: incredible since January fifth, just unbelievable.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I know you're still lifting. You scale it down a
- 15:12Speaker 1: little bit during.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Because you're practicing five or six days a week, right,
- 15:16Speaker 2: but I mean you were lifting five days a week
- 15:18Speaker 2: since January fifth until August whatever second.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So I mean that is unbelievable. How many workouts.
- 15:26Speaker 2: And so my question is, you know, we know Savage,
- 15:29Speaker 2: for example, Savage at LSU's awesome Golding had to go
- 15:33Speaker 2: out and hire a new strength and conditioning coordinator. I
- 15:37Speaker 2: think there's a lot of question Mars about how good
- 15:41Speaker 2: Shad is for Levy. He was the assistant at Oregon.
- 15:45Speaker 2: He grew up with Levy. They went to the same
- 15:48Speaker 2: high school together. And you know, I don't know. I mean,
- 15:53Speaker 2: I'm not saying you I don't know, But do I
- 15:59Speaker 2: think you're going to look more like an SEC team. Absolutely,
- 16:03Speaker 2: And of course you've spent a fortune on the program,
- 16:05Speaker 2: so you should. But I think there is something I
- 16:08Speaker 2: know we brush it off. I mean, you had seven
- 16:14Speaker 2: months in the weight room. I just had to count
- 16:19Speaker 2: that on my fingers because it's early, yeah, and I
- 16:21Speaker 2: haven't had enough coffee. You've had seven months in the
- 16:26Speaker 2: weight room and out on the field for you know,
- 16:29Speaker 2: speed agility. I mean, so you're doing but I mean
- 16:31Speaker 2: you're pumping as much irony, you're hopefully you're working the
- 16:34Speaker 2: right muscle, the right things, the right you know, all
- 16:37Speaker 2: of that, and then you're out doing speed and agility
- 16:39Speaker 2: and dah da da da. So my question is, you know,
- 16:42Speaker 2: here you are, it's August eighteenth. Have you done what
- 16:47Speaker 2: you're supposed to do since January fifth? I mean high
- 16:51Speaker 2: school coaches are asking the same thing, so our NFL
- 16:55Speaker 2: I get it.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Everybody.
- 16:57Speaker 2: You know, if you weren't working out five days a week,
- 16:59Speaker 2: you're definitely in the weight room, pumping iron, doing all
- 17:03Speaker 2: these things plus plus and I mean offensive linemen, defensive
- 17:07Speaker 2: linemen are doing speed and agility stuff too. I mean,
- 17:09Speaker 2: I know it's short burst, but it's super important on
- 17:12Speaker 2: third and two, is it not.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Right?
- 17:16Speaker 2: Or whether somebody's pulling and can get there with that
- 17:20Speaker 2: strong safety coming off the edge, you know, can your
- 17:24Speaker 2: guy get there save the play boom? You connect little
- 17:29Speaker 2: drag route with the tight end coming across the middle.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Everything's on the line. Everybody in the stadium is on
- 17:36Speaker 2: the edge of their seat. You gotta complete the pass
- 17:38Speaker 2: to continue the drive. Does he get there or does
- 17:45Speaker 2: he whiff in? Your quarterback gets smoked, and then you
- 17:48Speaker 2: turn the ball over on downs.
- 17:51Speaker 1: So it feels like you're uh, you're competently over of
- 17:58Speaker 1: the season win total.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I'm sorry, did you tell me it was four and
- 18:01Speaker 2: a half or three and a half for the Mississippi
- 18:03Speaker 2: State Bulldogs four and a half, I'm going over if
- 18:07Speaker 2: you can't go over with this schedule and it's still brutal,
- 18:11Speaker 2: but there are there are. The first four games are
- 18:15Speaker 2: all winnable. So can you go two and two or
- 18:16Speaker 2: three and one? You got those three on the back side.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I keep talking about Vanderbilt at home, all Burn at home,
- 18:23Speaker 2: Tennessee Tech at home. Got to win two of three,
- 18:26Speaker 2: could win three of three. Then where do you get it?
- 18:30Speaker 2: Then you have teams that are really talented that you're
- 18:34Speaker 2: playing like Ole, miss Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas. And
- 18:42Speaker 2: my question with the Big Dogs is can you get one?
- 18:48Speaker 2: Mississippi State? You play Alabama at home at LSU, you're
- 18:52Speaker 2: not winning that game. Oklahoma at home should be what
- 18:56Speaker 2: Oklahoma sixty forty or would you go Oklahoma seventy?
- 19:00Speaker 1: U thirty.
- 19:01Speaker 2: You tell me, all right, at Texas ninety ten, ninety
- 19:05Speaker 2: percent chance Texas wins fair?
- 19:07Speaker 1: Okay?
- 19:08Speaker 2: And then at Old Miss what do you got Old Miss?
- 19:12Speaker 2: Seventy eight percent chance? Dub at home?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Is that fair?
- 19:18Speaker 2: I mean, I'm just I'm just going through the pow
- 19:21Speaker 2: the the the best most talented teams that you're playing.
- 19:26Speaker 2: The best opportunity is Oklahoma at home.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yes, no, by far.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I mean I'm talking big, big percentage, not even talking
- 19:37Speaker 2: about the spread. I'm talking about percentage to win the
- 19:40Speaker 2: game against venables in Oklahoma. That's that's Levy's sweet spot.
- 19:45Speaker 2: That's that's the opportunity to get because no doubt you
- 19:50Speaker 2: should be in the game.
- 19:51Speaker 1: You know you have. You should have chance at Missouri
- 19:53Speaker 1: at home, over at home, Banner built at home?
- 19:55Speaker 2: Okay, Again, Levy pulls a good home for for Golden
- 20:00Speaker 2: and Levy to have brutal schedules. Ah, Levy pulls some
- 20:07Speaker 2: really nice home SEC games Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Auburn. No,
- 20:14Speaker 2: there's nothing special about any of them. You think maybe
- 20:17Speaker 2: the SEC office feel bad that there hasn't been one.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Evidently not, because Mississippi State pulled along with one or
- 20:25Speaker 2: two other teams the most brutal schedule you could the
- 20:29Speaker 2: last two years, and they still get and maybe this
- 20:31Speaker 2: is just part of it when you go to nine.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Okay, Uh well, I mean.
- 20:36Speaker 2: They needed they should have given am Arkansas in Kentucky
- 20:39Speaker 2: for what they did to them the last two years.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I just stood on the table in Birmingham. Now I'm
- 20:43Speaker 2: not kidding, but that's not the mentality. And so show
- 20:48Speaker 2: to answer your question. Alabama at least.
- 20:58Speaker 1: At home at LSU, Oklahoma at home at Texas at
- 21:05Speaker 1: Ole Miss. Those are your brutal games, your best at
- 21:09Speaker 1: your best shot by far and away is Oklahoma. They're good,
- 21:19Speaker 1: They're not.
- 21:19Speaker 2: You're right. I mean, let me go back to my
- 21:21Speaker 2: numbers from from Diamond Dave. Oklahoma was number six and
- 21:26Speaker 2: defensive scoring efficiency and number sixty six in offensive scoring efficiency.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Yet they this is this is the game today. I
- 21:32Speaker 2: want you to think about this, and yet they won
- 21:34Speaker 2: the and yet they made it. They did not look
- 21:37Speaker 2: like a college football playoff team, and yet they went
- 21:40Speaker 2: to the college football Playoff. Now they hosted a game
- 21:42Speaker 2: against an Alabama team that was totally flawed and got embarrassed,
- 21:46Speaker 2: but they made it so give vinable, you know, do
- 21:48Speaker 2: I think Venables is any kind of like long term answer,
- 21:51Speaker 2: Absolutely not. I think he's he's a Will muss Champ.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Other defensive coaches who can't get the offensive side of
- 22:00Speaker 2: the ball right, and we just we see that a
- 22:06Speaker 2: well to date, Jeff Levy, who's an offensive guy, hasn't
- 22:09Speaker 2: gotten the defensive side of the ball right. But the
- 22:11Speaker 2: one thing Will must Chant went eleven and two one
- 22:13Speaker 2: year at Florida with like the number two defense in
- 22:16Speaker 2: scoring efficiency, and offensively they were they would score like
- 22:20Speaker 2: thirteen points and win thirteen to six because I ran
- 22:25Speaker 2: into them down in New Orleans when he and I
- 22:27Speaker 2: were down there, when Charlie Strong and Louisville and I
- 22:30Speaker 2: think Teddy Bridgewater played Will must Champ in Florida and
- 22:32Speaker 2: the Sugar Bowl, yes, which neither one of those teams
- 22:35Speaker 2: were that good, and yet they were in the Sugar Bowl.
- 22:38Speaker 2: You know, different, different day the last fifteen to twenty
- 22:42Speaker 2: years with that, with that Bowl game, we're live in
- 22:45Speaker 2: the Bank plus Studio, the Out of Bounds Show, ESPN
- 22:48Speaker 2: oneh five nine, The Zone. Hey, Friday Night Lights is
- 22:53Speaker 2: powered by Madison Ridgeland Academy Football, Herbert Davis and them
- 22:57Speaker 2: getting ready to strap them on and team up. It
- 23:01Speaker 2: may be a double jockstrap game this Friday night. They're
- 23:05Speaker 2: playing a monster out of Nashville. I think Holy Mary olsapp.
- 23:10Speaker 2: John Weaver, athletic director, joined us last week. This schedule
- 23:14Speaker 2: that m ra is playing is beyond brutal. You're talking
- 23:18Speaker 2: about you know, Mississippi State and Old miss and they're
- 23:21Speaker 2: they're gauntlet. This is an absolute gauntlet for m ra
- 23:25Speaker 2: A football and they're starting off with the power from
- 23:28Speaker 2: the Nashville metro area. You can listen on ESPN one
- 23:32Speaker 2: oh five nine to the Zone every single game, or
- 23:34Speaker 2: stream it on the Out of Bounds Radio app.
