- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey everyone, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. I'm here
- 0:09Speaker 2: at the Whitney Fransleigh, and I'm so excited to get
- 0:11Speaker 2: chatting with her because she and I are both Bachelor
- 0:15Speaker 2: alum that are now Bravo. I don't go say stars.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I don't know what we call each other. We're not
- 0:23Speaker 2: like contestants anymore. We're just we're on a show.
- 0:27Speaker 3: We're part of the Bravo family.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Now part of the Bravo family. That's right, Yeah, Bravo Labs,
- 0:32Speaker 2: that's what it is. So Whitney, first, let's go like
- 0:37Speaker 2: revisit where we know you from originally, which is next
- 0:40Speaker 2: season of the Bachelor, and then you created a great
- 0:44Speaker 2: crew of girls from that season.
- 0:46Speaker 4: And then did you do Paradise?
- 0:48Speaker 3: For a hot minute, I feel like I don't really
- 0:50Speaker 3: count it. I made an appearance on Paradise.
- 0:53Speaker 4: But every guy wanted you there, so how is it
- 0:56Speaker 4: just an appearance?
- 0:57Speaker 3: I had a weird situation where uh Connor was somebody
- 1:01Speaker 3: who I was interested in and he ended up taking
- 1:03Speaker 3: myself out early, and there was like this whole little
- 1:06Speaker 3: like cat and mouse game of us, like finally meeting
- 1:10Speaker 3: up after he left Paradise. So I walked down to
- 1:14Speaker 3: the beach and he wasn't there, and then we kind
- 1:17Speaker 3: of connected after that.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Okay, so the Dean and Kylen mess of it all
- 1:22Speaker 4: kind of delayed your entrance perhaps, Yeah, I feel.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Like there was a lot happening, So I don't know.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I guess like I was on Paradise, but I feel
- 1:33Speaker 3: like I wasn't. That makes sense.
- 1:36Speaker 4: And who are you close to in the franchise? Still?
- 1:39Speaker 3: I'm still really close to Rachel Lindsay and Christina Shulman,
- 1:44Speaker 3: like a Lexus Waters, that kind of group of girls.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I feel like the same with your season. I feel
- 1:49Speaker 3: like we both had really tight knit girl gangs that
- 1:53Speaker 3: like came out of our seasons.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah, when I think of the other like girl gang,
- 1:57Speaker 2: I feel like it's yours. Have you kept in touch
- 2:00Speaker 2: with Nick at all?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Have you done his podcast yet?
- 2:03Speaker 3: I have not done his podcast. We didn't keep in touch.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I feel like we, you know, bumped into each other
- 2:09Speaker 3: a little bit after, but nothing crazy where we like
- 2:14Speaker 3: really stayed in touch after the show.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Okay, so your boyfriend gets you've been dating him for
- 2:22Speaker 2: how long now?
- 2:23Speaker 4: Because when did you film in the city.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Yeah, we filmed in the city in the fall, and
- 2:30Speaker 3: we've been dating since the fall before that. That's like
- 2:32Speaker 3: when we started kind of like going on our first dates.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Uh So it's been like, I guess.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Over a year and a half, two years, Okay, Yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 2: So when when you started dating Kenny, did you know
- 2:46Speaker 2: that he was involved with the Summerhouse crew, Because just
- 2:50Speaker 2: for our audience out there, like in the City is
- 2:53Speaker 2: the spin off to Summerhouse, So it's basically like they
- 2:57Speaker 2: go and do Summer in the Hampton's and then in
- 2:59Speaker 2: the fall, you guys are going to be filming in
- 3:02Speaker 2: the city, right, Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 3: I So one of Penny's best friends, Gavin, is on
- 3:07Speaker 3: the show, and I didn't know that he was like
- 3:11Speaker 3: so integrated and kind of knew like Lindsey and Kyle
- 3:14Speaker 3: and was an investor and lover boy. I obviously like
- 3:17Speaker 3: started to get to know that as this conversation came up.
- 3:22Speaker 3: But I wasn't really sure about doing the show at first,
- 3:25Speaker 3: you know, having done TV before, I just wasn't really
- 3:28Speaker 3: sure if it was in like the cards for me.
- 3:31Speaker 3: But it's honestly been a really fun process so far.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Did they ask him first yes to be on the show,
- 3:40Speaker 4: and then when did they start to be interested in
- 3:43Speaker 4: having you on with them?
- 3:44Speaker 3: It was pretty much at the same time. At the beginning,
- 3:49Speaker 3: it was well because the show is so different than
- 3:52Speaker 3: Summer House, right, It's it's about couples in there and
- 3:57Speaker 3: like some singles in closer to their forty and in
- 4:00Speaker 3: their early forties, navigating relationship and in the city and friendship,
- 4:05Speaker 3: and you know, it's not really as much of a
- 4:08Speaker 3: like a party show as Summer House. So with it
- 4:12Speaker 3: being focused on relationships, it was kind of like a
- 4:15Speaker 3: package deal.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Okay, gotcha.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, what was your initial take? Were you like, oh, yeah,
- 4:24Speaker 2: I'm down or were you a little hesitant because Dared
- 4:26Speaker 2: and I were a bit hesitant going over to Bravo,
- 4:29Speaker 2: which just definitely feels like they're after drama more, whereas
- 4:34Speaker 2: we came from a show where, yeah, drama is definitely
- 4:37Speaker 2: a part of it, but like love is number one totally.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Like on The Bachelor, you're in a bubble. You're not
- 4:43Speaker 3: in reality. You're like you don't have your phone, like
- 4:46Speaker 3: you're so much in this like love bubble talking about
- 4:48Speaker 3: relationships like this exactly like your show. It's like, oh,
- 4:52Speaker 3: like you have to open up like your whole life,
- 4:55Speaker 3: and it's like are you willing to do that? And
- 4:58Speaker 3: like do you think you can do that? Because if
- 4:59Speaker 3: you're not going to, it's not going to benefit the show,
- 5:02Speaker 3: it's not gonna benefit you, it's not going to benefit anybody.
- 5:05Speaker 3: So I just wasn't really sure. I'm like, do I
- 5:08Speaker 3: want to let people in that much in my life
- 5:12Speaker 3: and really put everything out there? And I think, yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 3: like relationships on reality TV, that can also be a
- 5:19Speaker 3: little scary. But I just felt like ultimately, Kenny and
- 5:22Speaker 3: I had a lot of good conversations about it, and
- 5:24Speaker 3: we have really good communication with each other, and it
- 5:28Speaker 3: just felt like, you know what, why not, like we're
- 5:31Speaker 3: on the same page and they kind of after talking
- 5:35Speaker 3: to the producers and like the casting directors and the
- 5:38Speaker 3: exacts about the show and what it was, they were
- 5:41Speaker 3: really reassuring that they want us to be portrayed as ourselves.
- 5:46Speaker 3: So it made me feel a little bit more comfortable
- 5:48Speaker 3: about it.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I keep thanking the producers because I was super
- 5:54Speaker 2: skeptical last summer about how they would make me look.
- 5:57Speaker 2: You know, coming from Bachelor, where you know you live
- 5:59Speaker 2: it and then you see such a small portion of
- 6:03Speaker 2: what you lived on TV, and you're like.
- 6:05Speaker 4: I did that.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I always say that Bachelor was kind of like a
- 6:07Speaker 2: caricature of me, and I loved the caricature was wonderful
- 6:11Speaker 2: and like I had fun with it. But I was
- 6:14Speaker 2: also just going into Housewives thinking, you know, how am
- 6:19Speaker 2: I going to look like myself? Right?
- 6:20Speaker 4: And I'm like, you know what, I look like myself?
- 6:23Speaker 4: Thank you very much. I'm surprised.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like they do. They do a great job,
- 6:27Speaker 3: and obviously there are like there's so much more that
- 6:30Speaker 3: they don't. They don't have time for everything, right, and
- 6:32Speaker 3: like so much that I'm sure that happened when you
- 6:34Speaker 3: film two of you just can't show everything. But I
- 6:39Speaker 3: do have to say I did pull an Ashley eye
- 6:42Speaker 3: and I cry multiple times this episode this week.
- 6:46Speaker 2: This week, this is episode three, which nice is like
- 6:48Speaker 2: you and I are. Now we get to see our
- 6:50Speaker 2: episode a couple of days before it airs. Well, I'll
- 6:53Speaker 2: ask you about your episode in a little bit. Okay, First,
- 6:57Speaker 2: I want to know if you we watched Summer House.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Did you watch his Friends on there?
- 7:02Speaker 3: So I had seen a little bit of Summerhouse here
- 7:04Speaker 3: and there. I feel like I kind of started watching
- 7:08Speaker 3: the last couples like seasons of Summerhouse, but kind of
- 7:12Speaker 3: like not super intentionally, right, Like Summerhouse is kind of
- 7:15Speaker 3: one of those shows you can have other things done
- 7:17Speaker 3: at the same time and be doing things. So I
- 7:20Speaker 3: had definitely seen the show before and understood some of
- 7:25Speaker 3: the dynamics that it was walking into.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Okay, well dynamics. Lindsay Hubbard is obviously a huge star
- 7:33Speaker 2: from Bravo for the past like ten years and definitely
- 7:36Speaker 2: one of the figureheads in this series, and she seems
- 7:41Speaker 2: to write off the bat have a problem with you
- 7:44Speaker 2: and Kenny moving in so quickly, But it's not like
- 7:47Speaker 2: we know that they've had like this strong friendship. So
- 7:50Speaker 2: how did that feel to have somebody that is very popular.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Take issue with your situation quickly?
- 7:59Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 7:59Speaker 3: I mean I would say that her and Kenny like
- 8:01Speaker 3: have been acquaintances. It's not like they were like best
- 8:04Speaker 3: friends going into the show or anything by means, and
- 8:08Speaker 3: me walking into these this new group of people who
- 8:14Speaker 3: have established relationships and all this history definitely intimidating. So
- 8:19Speaker 3: I feel like I was really just kind of taking in,
- 8:21Speaker 3: like what was going on. You can go almost kind
- 8:23Speaker 3: of see on my face. I'm like, okay, like wait, what,
- 8:27Speaker 3: like where is this coming from? Like is this like
- 8:30Speaker 3: her trying to be a girl's girl?
- 8:32Speaker 1: Is this?
- 8:32Speaker 3: And then like the more like it's it's unfolding. I'm like,
- 8:36Speaker 3: if you were a girl's girl, you would just kind
- 8:38Speaker 3: of pull me aside and ask me questions. Like I
- 8:41Speaker 3: barely have had a conversation with her at this point,
- 8:43Speaker 3: and she's kind of like questioning with It feels like judgment,
- 8:51Speaker 3: you know, like some kind of like interrogation versus being like, oh,
- 8:55Speaker 3: like you know, like having my best interest in pulling
- 8:58Speaker 3: me aside.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Like did you wonder why she was so opinionated
- 9:03Speaker 2: about you guys moving together without a ring? I feel
- 9:06Speaker 2: like it's kind of common.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like it's common. Obviously it was a
- 9:10Speaker 3: huge move, right Like I moved across the country for love,
- 9:15Speaker 3: so a little bit more on the line. It felt
- 9:18Speaker 3: like a little bit of a scarier move for me.
- 9:22Speaker 3: But she Yeah, I'm just like I obviously know a
- 9:26Speaker 3: little bit of her story at this point, and I'm
- 9:29Speaker 3: like this feels like a little bit of projection. You know,
- 9:32Speaker 3: we're all like a little bit jaded by her own life. Experiences,
- 9:36Speaker 3: and so I'm like, is she just like projecting her
- 9:39Speaker 3: own thing. It's just like coming off really harsh though.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Mm hmm, yeah, that's interesting.
- 9:55Speaker 2: So you in this upcoming episode kind of have a
- 10:00Speaker 2: moment with her and with the big the group, and
- 10:06Speaker 2: you're hoping that this hang is going to get you
- 10:09Speaker 2: closer to them, but it feels like it's just making
- 10:11Speaker 2: you emotional and you feel like you kind of have
- 10:14Speaker 2: a targ the target.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Don't necessarily feel like I have a target, but honestly,
- 10:19Speaker 3: like he has a strong personality and Lindsay has a
- 10:22Speaker 3: strong personality, so they're like starting off butting heads and
- 10:25Speaker 3: then you know, I'm kind of like, oh, I'm not
- 10:28Speaker 3: used to this kind of like intense dynamic plus like
- 10:33Speaker 3: intense personality.
- 10:35Speaker 2: You and I are basically in the exact same situation
- 10:38Speaker 2: on different Bravo shows.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Because we are the new ones in the group.
- 10:42Speaker 2: And then we just don't know how to deal with
- 10:45Speaker 2: these personalities outside of crying.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, we can so so relate because it's
- 10:50Speaker 3: like we're stepping into like these these groups of friends
- 10:54Speaker 3: that have history and have known each other, so it's
- 10:57Speaker 3: like you're kind of trying to learn your place and
- 10:59Speaker 3: like see who you get along with and like understand
- 11:01Speaker 3: everyone and like really like feel all dynamics in person,
- 11:04Speaker 3: but like especially in your thirties, like it's weird trying
- 11:09Speaker 3: to make new friends, right, And I was going through
- 11:12Speaker 3: this like transitionary time too, with like you know, uh,
- 11:16Speaker 3: starting a company, like moving across like the country and
- 11:20Speaker 3: like inf like doing this situation and like trying to
- 11:23Speaker 3: make friends. So I feel like everything was really heightened,
- 11:27Speaker 3: which I'm sure you can relate to, where just so
- 11:30Speaker 3: much going on and I just felt like really fragile
- 11:33Speaker 3: about so much new transition and like miss in my life.
- 11:38Speaker 3: So I feel like when there's all these dynamics of
- 11:41Speaker 3: like people fighting and like not being a smooth entrance
- 11:45Speaker 3: to the friend group, it's just a little overwhelming.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Of course, I feel you more than I feel like
- 11:51Speaker 2: anyone can please, like, can text me anytime you're filming.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I'm sure this will be getting in another season because
- 11:59Speaker 2: people like love you know members of your cast so well.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Now I I don't know, like New York or LA
- 12:06Speaker 2: after the big move and you've been there for.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Almost a year, how are you? How are you simulating?
- 12:12Speaker 3: I honestly love it I feel like it's so fun
- 12:16Speaker 3: to be in the city and be out and about.
- 12:18Speaker 3: There's so much more happening, and like it's super motivating
- 12:21Speaker 3: and inspiring here. You know, you can kind of be
- 12:24Speaker 3: in your own little bubble in LA. So I think
- 12:27Speaker 3: it's really good to even though it's scary and the
- 12:29Speaker 3: transition is scary, Like, it's good to put yourself in
- 12:33Speaker 3: a little bit of an uncomfortable situation to grow. Look like,
- 12:36Speaker 3: my friends in LA are still there, they're still my
- 12:38Speaker 3: best friends, but it's good to kind of make yourself
- 12:42Speaker 3: a little uncomfortable to grow. So that's where I feel
- 12:45Speaker 3: like I'm kind of in this like blooming like stage
- 12:49Speaker 3: right now, still in New York.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Okay, good when you are out with the group and
- 12:55Speaker 2: they are, you know, making all these comments about Kenny
- 12:59Speaker 2: and your relationship, Did any of this make you feel
- 13:02Speaker 2: any trepidation about the situation you put yourself in As.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Far as like your relationship my relationship.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I would say more of like your relationship. Were you
- 13:12Speaker 2: like getting any weworry that red flags are popping up?
- 13:15Speaker 3: I mean, I think at this point, like Kenny and
- 13:19Speaker 3: I have kind of talked about most things and kind
- 13:22Speaker 3: of had an untraditional start to our relationship, and you'll
- 13:26Speaker 3: kind of see a little bit more of that unfold
- 13:30Speaker 3: as the season goes on. But he was going through
- 13:34Speaker 3: something that made our relationship a little bit untraditional, I
- 13:38Speaker 3: think with like how it started. So me moving here
- 13:42Speaker 3: and taking that stuff was like a huge deal and
- 13:45Speaker 3: a huge step forward and like a huge intentional commitment.
- 13:50Speaker 3: But you know, as you get older, you have these
- 13:53Speaker 3: scars from like previous relationships, right that come up that
- 13:58Speaker 3: can be like triggers. So especially in this week's episode,
- 14:04Speaker 3: there is something that comes up that makes me question
- 14:10Speaker 3: even though I feel so solid with him, I'm like, wait,
- 14:13Speaker 3: could this be I don't want to be that naive
- 14:15Speaker 3: girl that's moving across the country for love and I'm
- 14:19Speaker 3: missing something, you know, like was Lindy right, Like I
- 14:23Speaker 3: started kind of spiraling like, oh my gosh, I just
- 14:25Speaker 3: need to talk to Kenny. So you'll see that in
- 14:29Speaker 3: this episode.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Well how did you guys meet?
- 14:35Speaker 3: So we actually met through a dating app and it
- 14:39Speaker 3: wasn't until like six months later, two falls ago, that
- 14:42Speaker 3: we I was in the city and we went out
- 14:45Speaker 3: in person.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Okay, and then it was long distance for a while.
- 14:50Speaker 3: It was long distance for a while, I was like
- 14:52Speaker 3: coming to New York. I was also like looking at
- 14:54Speaker 3: moving here already before we started dating, so I was
- 14:57Speaker 3: spending more time here and that's why I was here
- 14:59Speaker 3: and we ended up connecting, and then we probably did
- 15:06Speaker 3: long distance for like a year, I guess, but officially
- 15:11Speaker 3: like more six months, seven months.
- 15:14Speaker 2: He mentioned in one of the episodes that his mom
- 15:17Speaker 2: passed away from cancer in the past year, and you
- 15:19Speaker 2: guys did take a break during that time.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's I guess. That's where I was going with
- 15:26Speaker 3: the untraditional aspect of it. He obviously was going through
- 15:31Speaker 3: a crazy time with his family, and you know, everyone
- 15:38Speaker 3: processes something like that differently. And then plus because he
- 15:41Speaker 3: had to be very present, and it was he was
- 15:44Speaker 3: her caretaker a lot of the time that he only
- 15:48Speaker 3: had so much capacity, right, And so we kind of
- 15:51Speaker 3: had this conversation after a few months seeing each other,
- 15:54Speaker 3: like I just don't know if I can be who
- 16:00Speaker 3: you deserve me to be in this this moment, And
- 16:04Speaker 3: so he kind of had to take a step back
- 16:06Speaker 3: and and go through what he did with his close
- 16:11Speaker 3: people and go through his mom passing. And it wasn't
- 16:16Speaker 3: until after that when he reached back out. It wasn't
- 16:19Speaker 3: really sure, to be honest, if we were going to reconnect.
- 16:21Speaker 3: I felt like we were going to pick up. But
- 16:24Speaker 3: you know, in that moment, like all you can really
- 16:27Speaker 3: do is like release someone and like trust like the
- 16:30Speaker 3: universe of like whatever's meant to be will be. And
- 16:34Speaker 3: obviously it's been amazing. I feel like if you try
- 16:37Speaker 3: to hold onto something so tight, it just never works out.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Yep, I get that.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Well.
- 16:44Speaker 4: I feel so bad for him. How's he doing now?
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's been a crazy year. He is
- 16:52Speaker 3: doing good. There is a lot more that you get
- 16:56Speaker 3: to see unfold with his family this year, which we'll
- 17:02Speaker 3: be exciting for everyone to be a part of and
- 17:04Speaker 3: see a glimpse of his life. But I haven't lost
- 17:07Speaker 3: one of my parents, so it's super You can only
- 17:10Speaker 3: be so understanding, and there's ups and downs of course,
- 17:14Speaker 3: like grief doesn't look linear. So he's doing good. And
- 17:18Speaker 3: I feel like he has done a lot of work
- 17:20Speaker 3: on himself, so he's good at processing things and in
- 17:24Speaker 3: journaling and talking about things. So so yeah, I feel
- 17:28Speaker 3: like like it's nice that he has need to support
- 17:32Speaker 3: him in those.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Moments we see you going on a girl day with Danielle,
- 17:50Speaker 2: any friendships that you've created throughout this that like you
- 17:53Speaker 2: feel more comfortable in the group the group environment, Now.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's like ben Baby's steps. It's always
- 18:00Speaker 3: interesting to see who you gravitate towards, right, especially with
- 18:03Speaker 3: like people's energies in person. But you know, I know
- 18:07Speaker 3: that there's a lot of opinions out there about certain
- 18:10Speaker 3: cast members and Danielle being one of them. But I
- 18:14Speaker 3: kind of walked into this like just clean slate right
- 18:18Speaker 3: for me personally, and I've actually really enjoyed like getting
- 18:23Speaker 3: to know Danielle and Lexi and Georgina and like the
- 18:26Speaker 3: girls on the show. You see that I'm like kind
- 18:29Speaker 3: of starting to do that. And Danielle was one of
- 18:32Speaker 3: those first conversations that she reached out to me and
- 18:35Speaker 3: we got some girl time one on one.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Wonderful, wonderful Glad to hear that. Okay, So.
- 18:42Speaker 2: We I get asked about the difference between Bachelor and
- 18:46Speaker 2: Bravo a lot now, and I know that we can
- 18:49Speaker 2: only say so much, but how would you describe it?
- 18:53Speaker 3: Well, I just think that like you're so much in
- 18:56Speaker 3: this bubble on the Bachelor, right, like you don't have
- 19:00Speaker 3: contact with the outside world and you know, you're you're
- 19:03Speaker 3: in this house with people all day long, and I
- 19:05Speaker 3: feel like you mostly talk about relationships and like what
- 19:08Speaker 3: shaped you in that way in this show, like you're
- 19:11Speaker 3: opening up your whole life. You know, you're opening up
- 19:14Speaker 3: all sides of you. It's not just relationship, it's work,
- 19:17Speaker 3: it's friendship, it's life event, big life events, and like
- 19:22Speaker 3: this transitionary time. So I feel like they're really different
- 19:27Speaker 3: in that way. Yeah, I agree.
- 19:31Speaker 4: I agree with through there any difference in the fans
- 19:33Speaker 4: that you see.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like they both have really huge,
- 19:38Speaker 3: like cult communities, right, and I think from my experience
- 19:44Speaker 3: with Bachelor and in probably yours too, it's very positive
- 19:48Speaker 3: and like everyone wants to see everyone win, and like
- 19:51Speaker 3: everyone wants to see people find love, and it's a
- 19:54Speaker 3: little bit more positive. I think with Bravo there's a
- 19:57Speaker 3: lot more chatter and a lot more pinions shared. So like,
- 20:01Speaker 3: I haven't really gotten so much of that yet.
- 20:04Speaker 2: But I'm sure, Yeah, you've only gotten two episodes so far.
- 20:07Speaker 4: So yeah, I've noticed that.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I noticed that the Bachelor audience can be harder on
- 20:14Speaker 2: the contestants in the sense that like they want the
- 20:18Speaker 2: lead to end up with the perfect person, So if
- 20:21Speaker 2: you're not the one for them, you can be I
- 20:24Speaker 2: feel like criticized a little bit more.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Yeah, true, that's true. Yeah, they kind of have their
- 20:29Speaker 3: like fan favorites, whereas like I feel like, I feel
- 20:31Speaker 3: like the Bravo people have really strong opinions that they're
- 20:35Speaker 3: not afraid to voice.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Oh yeah, definitely, yeah, definitely.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Bit more.
- 20:41Speaker 2: So, you and Kenny, you went to Peru in April
- 20:45Speaker 2: and you posted a video saying they have accidentally gotten
- 20:47Speaker 2: married in Peru.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Like what tell us more?
- 20:50Speaker 3: Okay, this is actually a funny story. So we were
- 20:53Speaker 3: in Peru and I'm like, what does one do in
- 20:55Speaker 3: Peru that's like, you know, kind of like something unique
- 20:59Speaker 3: to being here. And our hotel had this. Kenny and
- 21:03Speaker 3: I are both like spiritual and and they had this
- 21:08Speaker 3: ceremony called like pashamama, which is basically you sit down
- 21:13Speaker 3: with this uh like Peruvian. I don't even think it's
- 21:16Speaker 3: necessarily like a shaman. It's just something that they do
- 21:19Speaker 3: in their culture. And they have this whole like ceremony
- 21:23Speaker 3: that they do, like like getting blessing blessings from Mother nature,
- 21:30Speaker 3: and so they have these different like foods and like
- 21:34Speaker 3: different things that they symbolize as like abundance or work
- 21:40Speaker 3: or love or you know, different categories in their life.
- 21:44Speaker 3: And it was like an hour long thing and we're
- 21:47Speaker 3: doing the ceremony and half like almost where it's almost
- 21:51Speaker 3: to the end. It's like forty minutes in and he's like,
- 21:54Speaker 3: are you guys married? And we're like no, and he's
- 21:57Speaker 3: like do you want to be? And we're like yeah.
- 21:59Speaker 3: So we're sitting there, he's, you know, doing his thing,
- 22:02Speaker 3: and we're like, all of a sudden like holding hands
- 22:06Speaker 3: with like some different like herbs or something, and like
- 22:09Speaker 3: he's like asking Mother Nature like for her blessing basically
- 22:14Speaker 3: for us to be married, and all of a sudden,
- 22:17Speaker 3: he was just like you may now kiss your your wife.
- 22:21Speaker 3: And we were like, uh, we just we didn't even
- 22:25Speaker 3: like smile. We were like so in it, and we
- 22:28Speaker 3: just like kissed each other and we just like looked
- 22:29Speaker 3: forward and the ceremony went on. Then after we're like,
- 22:32Speaker 3: are we married? Are we married? In Paro?
- 22:35Speaker 4: Yeah exactly, So in some cultures you may be married.
- 22:38Speaker 3: I know. I'm like calling missus Martin like, so we
- 22:42Speaker 3: joke about it now all the time. We're not obviously
- 22:45Speaker 3: actually married, but it's kind of a funny story.
- 22:48Speaker 2: That sounds like a Bachelor date. Like does that not
- 22:50Speaker 2: sound like something we would do down in Paradise?
- 22:52Speaker 4: Yeah, totally, totally.
- 22:55Speaker 2: How do you think The Bachelor prepared you for going
- 22:58Speaker 2: on this show?
- 22:59Speaker 3: I think think like Bachelor prepared me in the sense of,
- 23:02Speaker 3: like you kind of like get a little bit, you know,
- 23:07Speaker 3: you get used to the cameras, right, Like you start
- 23:09Speaker 3: to like kind of see those melt away, and like
- 23:12Speaker 3: you start to be more and more yourself when you
- 23:17Speaker 3: start filming, right, And I think I knew that that
- 23:20Speaker 3: was going to happen. I think it also made me
- 23:22Speaker 3: a little bit scared. I think it made me a
- 23:24Speaker 3: little nervous, just because I just knew that I had
- 23:28Speaker 3: to like have my walls down like going into this right.
- 23:31Speaker 3: And I think I did like for Bachelor to some extent.
- 23:35Speaker 3: But I also feel like I was, you know, I
- 23:37Speaker 3: was twenty four, I think when I did The Bachelor,
- 23:40Speaker 3: and now I'm thirty four, and so such a difference
- 23:43Speaker 3: in ten years of just like knowing yourself and being
- 23:46Speaker 3: more confident and like being able to be my full self.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I think when I was on The Bachelor, I was
- 23:50Speaker 3: a little bit more like protective of my image and
- 23:54Speaker 3: like you know, trying to be like sweet and like
- 23:57Speaker 3: not be controversial or any of those things, Whereas, like now,
- 24:01Speaker 3: being thirty four, I knew that on Bachelor, I was
- 24:04Speaker 3: portrayed with myself, but I didn't show all sides of me,
- 24:07Speaker 3: and I went into the show being like, Okay, no,
- 24:10Speaker 3: I'm gonna I like need to be my full self
- 24:12Speaker 3: and like show everyone all of me, because that's like
- 24:15Speaker 3: how they're going to connect to me.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Interesting, mine was actually the opposite, Like mine was a
- 24:21Speaker 2: detriment and a benefit at the same time. I felt
- 24:25Speaker 2: like I was more guarded because of The Bachelor, because
- 24:29Speaker 2: I know how things can be like twisted or cut
- 24:32Speaker 2: down so that they appear one way versus the other.
- 24:36Speaker 4: So I was very careful on camera with Housewives.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I understand I relate to that too.
- 24:41Speaker 3: I think parts of me like were especially at the beginning,
- 24:44Speaker 3: like maybe I wasn't like speaking up as much, especially
- 24:47Speaker 3: being with new people, I can be a little bit
- 24:48Speaker 3: more quiet, and maybe you feel the same.
- 24:51Speaker 4: That was the same.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, so I can definitely relate.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't say if I had known everyone. Like
- 24:58Speaker 2: if basically I was out with my girl crew from
- 25:01Speaker 2: Bachelor and the cameras were around, I probably wouldn't be
- 25:05Speaker 2: super unfiltered. I would my guard would be a little
- 25:08Speaker 2: bit more down. But it's because I can be very
- 25:10Speaker 2: introverted when it comes to new people.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Totally like takes like people like a second once you
- 25:16Speaker 3: like feel them out, to like get more of those
- 25:19Speaker 3: like layers peeled back for you to really be yourself.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Yeah, because with these with these Bravo labs, you know,
- 25:25Speaker 2: especially you think, I don't know how they're going to react.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Like I know how my friends would react to me
- 25:31Speaker 2: saying something like this, but I don't know how they're
- 25:33Speaker 2: going to react, So it's best that.
- 25:34Speaker 4: I just don't say anything at all.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Totally. I'm like not gonna speak my opinion. I'm like
- 25:39Speaker 3: scared of, like you know, rocking the boat. Right, Maybe
- 25:45Speaker 3: maybe not as much as the season goes on, we'll see.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Well, tell everybody where they can find you and where
- 25:53Speaker 2: and when they can watch in the city.
- 25:57Speaker 3: That you can watch in the City on Bravo on
- 26:00Speaker 3: Tuesdays on cable and on Wednesdays it's streamed on Peacock.
- 26:06Speaker 3: You can find me on Instagram. My name is just
- 26:08Speaker 3: Whitney Fransway TikTok the same, and I think that's about it.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, guys, well I'm gonna keep watching because
- 26:18Speaker 2: now I'm in because you know, we're the same.
- 26:21Speaker 3: We're the same. Oh my god, I'm literally going to
- 26:22Speaker 3: be texting you on the side being like, you're just
- 26:25Speaker 3: like you so understand where I'm coming from. So it'll
- 26:28Speaker 3: be nice to talk offline.
