- 0:03Enough is enough. I don't have any Why shall share your sup and we
- 0:08hold the world ransom for excuse me while I whipped this out broadcasting live and
- 0:16Atlanta, Georgia. This this is the Sports Shot Ship with Wadandy. You
- 0:23may gigging comes, so comes it comes? Is it just I'm a doing
- 0:39Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way you made Bill Vegan. Welcome,
- 0:43Welcome, Welcome. You're listening to the Sports Shock Show. I am the
- 0:48Sports Shop. Wayne Gatty, Good morning to you out there listening. Land.
- 0:53Glad to be here with you. As we roll into the end of
- 0:58college basketball. We got tournaments going on on the women's side. A lot
- 1:03of you state tournaments are going on as well. In the last couple of
- 1:07regular season games for the men in college basketball, one thing I was thinking,
- 1:15Crew before I bring you on, Caitland Clark's been so huge this year
- 1:21that we have paid very little attention to the men. I was sitting there
- 1:29like, you know what, I don't know who is the best player in
- 1:33men's basketball. I don't know who is other than when they let me know
- 1:37who's number one, like Yukon or Houston or someone like that. I haven't
- 1:42really paid. But I have clicked on to Caitlin Clark games. I've clicked
- 1:48on to South Carolina games this year even a couple of LSU. I went
- 1:53to a couple of Auburn games. But the consistency of knowing men's when we
- 1:57were talking about driving the needle, it has really been the Caitlin Clark show.
- 2:05It's not your fault, it's not mine, No, who's responsible,
- 2:09it's men's college basketball's fault. Well, you know, their biggest issue and
- 2:17has been for a while, is the whole one and done the whole you
- 2:24know, no going to college at all, so you don't really get to
- 2:28sink your teeth into the guy that you might like. He's gone in nine
- 2:31months, he gets there in August, he's going in April, so you
- 2:38don't even get to develop the character for your top players. And now with
- 2:43all these other European leagues and leagues, they're just not going to go at
- 2:49all. And I think it's not only hurting the game. I think it's
- 2:52hurting some of their fame. We've talked about this several times before a lot
- 2:55of guys built more of their fame before they even got to the pros.
- 3:00They were household names that just added on to them, right, and they
- 3:06were already legends in the sport, and then they just went to league to
- 3:09solidify it. But you're right, there is no real big name at least
- 3:15this year that has continued to jump off the page. On men's side,
- 3:19that for me has been one of those let me get to the house and
- 3:23watch the game. But Caitlin Clark, the young lady out of Iowa,
- 3:31has driven people to specifically tune in to watch games, which is a very
- 3:37powerful movement. Will that translate when she goes to the WNBA. Hopefully for
- 3:43the WNBA, they need a new spark of something to kind of get fan
- 3:49base growing. Right now, they seem to be on plateau and all they're
- 3:53doing is like, you know, pouting like some two year olds, like
- 4:00know what, I don't know what else to do to get the people out
- 4:02to see you. I don't mean whether it's a matter of trying to get
- 4:04like the like newer players in and we've seen like where first round picks get
- 4:12cut, but they come in with very little fanfare, right and that's the
- 4:16biggest issue. I think. You know, they're they're very anonymous to it's
- 4:21like one person that you kind of know each draft, and that doesn't always
- 4:28mean that that person is the first pick. It's just me like one person
- 4:30comes in, you know the Breonna Stewart and A, but you don't know
- 4:34the other eight people at all, or Sabrina A nest Q, but you
- 4:39don't know the other eight people at all that got drafted in the same draft,
- 4:43and so they don't have a lot of pull to bring in an audience,
- 4:46even you know this year with Caitlin Clark, you have Angel Reef probably
- 4:53come in as well. Those are names that at least you got two right
- 4:58there. But you know, so we're growing. Vin Kenny, I got
- 5:01that church finger. Yes, sir, I would want to go to the
- 5:03bathroom or you're tied of what path you're talking about now? Not this time.
- 5:08I want to ask questions. You said that Kate and Clark going to
- 5:12w NBA could be the spark that they need. Could her spark in the
- 5:15w n B A be a bucket of water dowsing the fire that is this
- 5:20season's n c A A women's basketball Like after Caitlyn Clark has gone from women's
- 5:26college basketball, who's gonna care? Who's gonna rush home for the four o'clock
- 5:31game with this women's team against that women's team. Well, women's sports in
- 5:38college is always protected. It's the same reason with people and the whole ni
- 5:42L And we'll talk about that later in the show. And remember, the
- 5:46college fan base is made, it's already made. It's plug and play.
- 5:54You don't really create a fan base. The Auburn people were coming to the
- 5:59game. You can get a bigger crowd based on those who don't watch a
- 6:04particular team. But in college it is safe. It's safer than the pros
- 6:13in a lot of aspects. It doesn't waver as much. Carolina basketball is
- 6:18not just that they're not waiting around for the next Michael Jordan. They're still
- 6:24producing. They're looking for the next good team. Remember, colleges are always
- 6:27telling you. You just feel like that when you bo Jackson. But every
- 6:32three four of you, somebody's gonna come along and it's gonna be the next
- 6:35one. You know. It's just it's the proving ground. And as we
- 6:41talked about with someone like a Caitlyn Clark, I think a lot of her
- 6:45is just the purity of it. There is the only storyline about this young
- 6:49lady is playing basketball, not her dad. It was a firefighter and none
- 6:56of that kind of stuff. You know, it is not any It's has
- 7:00been basketball, basketball, basketball, Bad producer in the morning, Bad Big
- 7:04Kenny. What do your shirts say right there? Classic? Class classic?
- 7:09Classic? Okay? It genius? You made that yourself? No, it
- 7:15says C L S C. Yes, those are initition because he's different,
- 7:19right, But that's what it stands for classic. Is that correct? And
- 7:24And see that's the that's the the text generation, that's the the we'll spell
- 7:30it phonetically, will spell it with the shortest amount of characters that we possibly
- 7:35can because that's nowhere near how you spell the word classic. Right, But
- 7:40that that's the that's the brand. So so they could they could just couldn't
- 7:46call be confused with something. You know what I'm saying. See what I'm
- 7:48saying. And if we give everybody trophy, now yours say gap? Now
- 7:53what is gap? Uh? You stand for? From God prayers? I
- 7:58don't, I don't, I don't know. I thought it just stood for
- 8:03the gap because that's the only thing that's that's his brand. That's what he
- 8:07said. Okay, you have on the GAP brand spelled gap in the dictionary
- 8:13on a regular piece of paper, Classic is only spelled like that for that
- 8:18shirt. What's my point? Okay, I don't know the Latin original original
- 8:24way of spelling classic. Maybe that was it was that it was that the
- 8:30root word. If I, if I but mad producers in the building as
- 8:39well this morning, you seem like you have something you need to say for
- 8:41I was as we was just going to talk about that. We talk about
- 8:43the popularity. You can think about Agent Wilson when she came out of univers
- 8:48South Carolina with Don Stalley when they first won back to back, she had
- 8:52all that popularity, came out and then we didn't hear nothing from from her,
- 8:56and then all of a sudden, next time we hear about her because
- 9:00he's at the Usher concert. Uh and she won the w NBA Championship and
- 9:03everything else. It just seems that you're you're on some kind of I've heard
- 9:09of a whole lot before. What I'm saying, you know what I'm saying
- 9:13is we heard about the world to the A. Oh yeah, I don't
- 9:16know. You know. What I'm all I'm saying is that we've heard about
- 9:20the ace. They went back to back they were playing, but it really
- 9:24did. It didn't resonate until she started calling out Usher after they won.
- 9:28I'm not saying that we don't we know who Asia Wilson, but a lot
- 9:31of I don't think that Asia Wilson ever had the torch like Caitlin Clark.
- 9:39I'm not saying she wasn't good. I'm just saying this is great. I'm
- 9:43not saying she's never had not She's never done a one on one with Robert
- 9:48Roberts. I don't think you know, and and and that's where and that's
- 9:52what I was saying about the media coverage of women's basketball is at the pinnacle
- 10:00of its popularity right now. The last time I remember someone having it like
- 10:05this for women's basketball, I would say with the Cheryl swoops, some something
- 10:13one of the legendary uh W n B A names that we hear. I'll
- 10:18say Canvas Parker, pro Diana. But it was more about the UK the
- 10:26you how she fitted, but it was it wasn't But Diana nor Britney were
- 10:33the darlings. It's a difference. Steph Curry is the darling of the n
- 10:41B. A Ye, Britney grinder was not the Darling of college basketball.
- 10:50It's just saying just as great, just as accomplished everything else they were first
- 10:56picked. But it's it's just like a different kind of it took are going
- 11:00to prison to be fully and brace But that'll happened to you you because we
- 11:05didn't all been there. We didn't all went to prison, and when we
- 11:07came back down a whole much more love than where we went. Am I
- 11:11right? Yeah, you get more lovely. They treated you funny when you
- 11:18came home. But we have a lot of the usual suspects, some big
- 11:22names, Nick Saban, Bill Belichick, Charles Barkley. We're gonna get around
- 11:26to today. Jason Kelsey, Russell Wilson will be on tap for a second
- 11:31or two. Raffee on the Dolls, Ion Williamson, even the great Emmett
- 11:37Smith and the Hall of Famer Dion Sanders are on board today for the show.
- 11:41Sit back, relaxed. We'll be right back with more of the Sports

- 14:54Day on the Sports Jockshore just taken it to a completely different level this year.
- 15:00Here we highlight an accolade that has taken their game to the next level.
- 15:07Let mester your go back, Welcome back to the show. I'm this
- 15:20Moore show queen came to. Good morning to you out there and this thing
- 15:22laying back it you see, look like something on your mind over there.
- 15:24I read your thoughts right now. I was just thinking about the Yukon those
- 15:28ten and who they got is the top ten in Yukon women. Who's the
- 15:31most loved? And it was just surprising to see the top ten but they're
- 15:37solid surprising you mean the gun power No no, no, see if you
- 15:43look at that time in the era you got to you look at University of
- 15:46Tennessee in Yukon, they were the top two female programs. And just like
- 15:52I said, I was just some of the names. You said. They
- 15:54got breon the Steward, Maya Moore down to ROSSI Us, then relet Rebecca
- 16:00Lobo and you guys, y'all Basically y'all said that y'all felt that Maya Moore.
- 16:06I feel like Maya Moore is probably the best U Can player ever.
- 16:10That's just all our opinions. But you said because we got to move on.
- 16:12I didn't mean to stay on this so long. What your you're you
- 16:17are We're saying one thing and you're hearing something else. This is not a
- 16:22segment or a show or I haven't talked about who I think is the best
- 16:26player in college basketball. It's all don't cut me off. That's that's what
- 16:30you're talking about. The top ten list. You just said, I think
- 16:33Maya Moore was better than blah blah blah blah blah. That that's just what
- 16:37you just said. So relax. I said, Caitlin Clark was the darling
- 16:44we were thinking of. Darlings of. Nobody said who is the best player.
- 16:48You're hearing me say darling of through what the bad producer processes as I'm
- 16:57saying that she we're in some kind of she's the best player. That is
- 17:02not the same thing. I know, that's a stretch for your how your
- 17:08computer work, and and and his problem with the list is that he feels
- 17:15like racism played up. He just wants to jump to We're not even having
- 17:21a conversation about who's the best college player. He just wants to jump to
- 17:25race. We were talking about the darling of a sport. Thank someone getting
- 17:29the media attention. Well, all those ladies deserved that interview with Robin Roberts
- 17:33at some point time. They didn't. Why because it didn't happen. Say
- 17:38say racism sports and not sports, because that's what that's what you That's that's
- 17:44what it is. You feel like racism weird, it's ugly head, it's
- 17:48a white player. Must find that doesn't seem to be a racism try harder.
- 18:03I mean, he spent the whole segment searching up some names to defy
- 18:07what we were talking about. Some people are the darlings of a certain sport.
- 18:15That's all. Don't mean neither best. Well, that man, he
- 18:26can't hold him back. He ran to run across the bridge. He read
- 18:33to run across. He is so upset. I'm saying that, you know
- 18:41that can build up inside you and you have to go see a doctor after
- 18:44a while, you're gonna have to let that. That's that's yeah, I'm
- 18:49saying he's built up quicks. Jason Kelsey of the Eagles of the Famous Center.
- 18:56And you have to say it that way because, as you know,
- 18:59being off as alignman back in the day, my position in my brethren,
- 19:06we typically only are in the spotlight for what we do wrong. You know,
- 19:11why didn't you make that block? Why did you get that penalty?
- 19:14Jason Kelcey with his brother Travis Kelsey over the last couple of years. And
- 19:18remember both of those players were putting in work way before Taylor Swift showed up.
- 19:26Go back and look, they had already had two or three All Pros
- 19:30and been to some Super Bowl. This hobby, Taylor Swift only been around
- 19:34like fourteen months. Fourteen months, so Travis, I mean, Jason Kelsey
- 19:38had a thirteen year career. So he has decided to hang it up,
- 19:42very emotional doing his speech, his press conference, deciding to step away from
- 19:49the game. We will see you that emotional. Will you wake up in
- 19:56June? And because certain teams will keep a little eye on him, especially
- 20:02if next year you start having injury, they'll feel like they can bring him
- 20:04in, plug him, see if he can play. But on the football
- 20:08side, Jason Kelce retiring, Russell Wilson will be let go by the Broncos.
- 20:15This is in a move that we all kind of was saw. They
- 20:18tried to Shun Peyton experiment with him the new head coach, which brings a
- 20:23different mindset Russell being brought there in the first place, like Denver thought,
- 20:30they were going to be more of a play action team that played defense that
- 20:34fizzled out. Bring in Shun Peyton, Sean Peyton, his mindset is and
- 20:40his success was behind him and Drew Brees. That's the type of quarterback he's
- 20:45going to try to find and mold. Russell Wilson being a little long in
- 20:49the tooth at thirty five thirty six, we'll find his way most likely tier
- 20:55to Atlanta or somewhere like a Pittsburgh coming be here. But a lot of
- 21:03people over the last couple of days have been speculating that the shift of the
- 21:08Falcons might be going to a Kirk Cousins. So right now, Kirk Cousins
- 21:15rumors he's looking in the area for homes. The Bad producer says that he's
- 21:19contacted Pitts Kyle Pits the tight End about the number eight, which Kyle Pitts
- 21:29went on a show and said that that's just a rumor that hasn't happened.
- 21:33Mike Fourio Pro Football Talk. Why did you say his name again? Flori
- 21:37Florio, Yes, Football Talk said that Pitts heard the room. The Pitts
- 21:41and Cousins have talked about switching number eight. So okay, But cousins wife
- 21:48is I just found this out late last night. She's originally from Atlanta,
- 21:52so height might be on there. You're coming to the team, I already
- 21:57have the number. You will want the number. I don't want to give
- 22:00it up. U asked, I'll pay you for it. I say no.
- 22:03Does the team have a final deciding vote in that or is it just
- 22:10you got to change your number because you're coming to a new team. The
- 22:14team would have anything to do with it, Okay, it would be you
- 22:17and that player, especially if you are a starter like al Kyle Pitts,
- 22:22who was also the first round pick. That's his number until he decides to
- 22:26okay, relinquish shit. And it's based on how much kirk Cousin wants the
- 22:30number, how much have paid for it? And well, guys, some
- 22:36guys fifty eighty one hundred thousand dollars. Wow, the switch numbers. I
- 22:41don't know how much kirk Cousin is the voted to number eight. Maybe he
- 22:48wants a fresh start. I sell my number. Wouldn't tell my wife they
- 22:52just changed again. But we've seen different superstars go to teams and have to
- 22:59relinquish number that people already had, or sometimes even when the number's already been
- 23:03retired. Oh, you can't get into that number. That was my case
- 23:07when I got drafted to the Rams. Merlin Olsen's number seventy four was already
- 23:14retired, so I had to pick another number. So I wanted to stay
- 23:18even, so I picked number seventy. We'll be back more to the Sports
- 23:22Jock Show right after this. Joone Boy, Wayne Board of the Sports John
- 23:42Show with Wayne Dambidius coming up next. Attention homeowners, Now is the time

- 27:07Tell you right there and listening Lan. We've talked a little bit about
- 27:11Caitlyn Clark. We've talked about Russell Wilson moving on from the Broncosh. We
- 27:15talked about Chasing Kelsey, the center for future Hall of Famer for the Eagles
- 27:22retiring. As we went to break a bit, Kenny was on Facebook Live.
- 27:27Saw Phil cook Is on there and asking the question even though we were
- 27:32not discussing who's the best all time in college basketball for women, but he
- 27:38did have the question of asking us who we felt that person was. And
- 27:45remember in these lists, especially as I always say when it comes to team
- 27:49sports, it's really more of a lot of preference than it is that you
- 27:56can see meant because it's based on In individual sports, it's about the championships.
- 28:06Is easier to define because because you like a player and they only have
- 28:11one Grand Slam and some one other player has forty Grand slams, then because
- 28:19you like them does not make them better than the person with the forty.
- 28:23Now you still like they be your son, your daughter, they can be
- 28:26your wife, but you only go you got one Grand Slam. Remember the
- 28:30Williams girls, she got like forty. I don't know if that make her
- 28:33better. But what I'm saying, but mine was a it was a good
- 28:37grandam. I don't want to diminish one that the Williams girl missed. Remember
- 28:42she got what I'm saying, but it was a good grand stay. I
- 28:45wanted to diminish mine. But college basketball and keep your answer to one person.
- 28:52Okay, I don't need a this, but that just one person?
- 29:00Can we can I get that because I gotta make this quick so we can
- 29:04move on to other people. We need to talk about, like people looking
- 29:11peanut butter off of toes. We got to get around to a lot of
- 29:12stuff here. Hey, hey, this is that I didn't want to get
- 29:15pressure. Yeah, I didn't want to get personal about my own stuff.
- 29:19Break down, that's calm down. You know, I think my mama might
- 29:26be Mama. We got to talk about it. It's out there. We
- 29:30only talk about it when it comes across the board. So we'll start off
- 29:33and get it because it was on his get his blood pressure down, bad
- 29:37producer. Who is the best women's basketball player of all time? And I
- 29:41just need one name. I'm gonna go because I watched she was my era
- 29:45and she made me start watching. I'm gonna say Shamika Hole's Claw. Okay,
- 29:48sek a holes Claw, but uh, Brianna Stewart, Brianna Stewart,
- 30:00Big Kenny. I like kandas Parker Candace Shot watched her all the way up
- 30:04through high school through the and some people call I'm gonna go with the best
- 30:11player I've saw with Shamika host Claw from Tennessee. So there you go,
- 30:18There you go, Now, there you go, and fil let us know
- 30:22what you think. Go ahead, it doesn't let us know what you think
- 30:26about that answer. Anyone else out there is listening. You know, just
- 30:29hit us real quick on who you think, and it's about your preference and
- 30:33when you played and when you time. You know a lot of us know
- 30:36historically everyone says Cheryl Miller, the great Cheryl Miller out of the USC And
- 30:41that's what I'm saying. None of these answers are right or wrong their preference,
- 30:48you know, because era time Sheryl Miller. There's nothing she didn't accomplish.
- 30:52She brought the sport to us in a way in those early eighties.
- 30:57Brionna Stewart, Stewart, all these were champions. They're players of the year.
- 31:03It's about how you and what you saw and what you grade as being
- 31:08the player of the year. Now, the young lady out of Iowa,
- 31:12I will give her due, Caitlyn Clive. I've never seen an offensive player
- 31:18like that. I've never seen that. That's why I say she's Steph Curry.
- 31:22I've never seen in the gym in rain. And she says that I
- 31:26have no fear, I have no nervousness. I just this is fun for
- 31:30me. You give me the rock fight up wherever we at. Yeah,
- 31:36most of these anyone is above her. Most likely you're rating them above her
- 31:40because they were more two way players. They had something on the defensive end.
- 31:45And remember most lists when you start talking about best all time, has
- 31:51something. That's why people when they don't bring up Steph Curry's name because they
- 31:55only know him really on one half of the court. You can give me
- 31:59the thirty five, but I don't have any memorable blocks on the other side
- 32:04of the court. Steph strips the ball. It's like plays down here and
- 32:08Draymond plays down here. That's how it really is for them. But when
- 32:13you think about the legends from Wilt to Kareem to Kobe to Lebron to Michael
- 32:20those guys, Tim Duncan, you know, Charles Barkley always said that he
- 32:24would put Tim Duncan above him and Carl Malone solely because Tim was so impactful
- 32:31on the defensive end him and Carl wasn't as good on the defensive end of
- 32:37the court. But Charles was actually kind of terrible. He was terrible.
- 32:40Even blocked some shots every night. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and he
- 32:44was a little short for his position too. Yeah, the round mound of
- 32:50rebound. Nick saban uh Is have some choice words and and I even made
- 32:59sure and I said this and it was just a feeling I had when he
- 33:04retired. Big Kenny command you. I think you were here. I don't
- 33:07know if the bad producer was here that David I was talking about. Most
- 33:10likely Nick got a call from someone he had already kind of settled a deal
- 33:17with, and then you called me back because you called the University of Georgia
- 33:22and they upped the ANNIE. And then Nick just walked out of office.
- 33:28And what he said basically kind of reinforced that when he was speaking that it
- 33:37really and I'm paraphrasing that it really wasn't that he was going to retire,
- 33:43but he didn't like how his team reacted after the Michigan game. They were
- 33:46not professional. That was kind of the match. They got everything going.
- 33:52And then by the time he gets back and started doing exit interviews, it
- 34:00all became about players wanting guarantees they were going to start and guarantees of payment.
- 34:10Yes, and those are kind of the three things that sent Nick Saban,
- 34:15at the age of seventy two, to deciding, you know what,
- 34:20I'll just take my show on the road and leave the most powerful job in
- 34:25college sports period right now. Yes, in today's sports, the head coach
- 34:30of Alabama, the amount of attention, the amount of pressure, the amount
- 34:36of money that went along with that job under Nick Saban, the championships a
- 34:39team that over the last decade, it's all about whatever Alabama was going to
- 34:45do. They were winning or losing the championship away from that game, but
- 34:51the championship and those are the things. And I discussed I know for someone
- 34:58who has coached the way he coach to have that kind of success, and
- 35:01even saying that same interview, he was not against the nil but the Alabama
- 35:08model of players were to get you in, try to help you actually improve
- 35:15your stock to make money. It's kind of what he alluded to. But
- 35:20no surprise, guys that Nick basically realized he could not play the nil game.
- 35:27How it's set up now Basically, I can't play this game. I
- 35:31tried, though, I was trying, but I ain't gonna be able to
- 35:35do this because you know, the backup center now wants a guarantee. And
- 35:38we used to joke how Alabama was kind of like NFL South or something like
- 35:46that, like you knew if you went to Alabama you were going to go
- 35:50nine out of ten times in the first round. And that sense of pride,
- 35:53that sense of potential changing of your life was exciting enough for you to
- 36:00go to that program. Now I can change my life next semester, like
- 36:04they said, I could get this much and they're guarantee me this much playing
- 36:08time, and we got till five o'clock. Closed the deal because you know,
- 36:15I want to do something different tomorrow, and I just can't imagine uh
- 36:20a program or just sports going from one extreme to the next that was zero
- 36:24to now just UH speed restrictor plates off and as much gas as you can
- 36:31give it and go ahead. No. I wanted to ask you, well,
- 36:37or maybe one of you guys, I wonder what he meant by the
- 36:38team was not professional after the Michigan game, what what was in details?
- 36:44Are there any details what he meant or what you think possibly what he mean
- 36:47by they wouldn't professionally. He was come out class. They got back to
- 36:52the locker room, and I guess they just at like some berserkers in there.
- 36:58They were throwing things and unruly. I guess he just couldn't get them.
- 37:02And he spoke about in that interview that you're supposed to win and lose
- 37:07with class. So whatever level in which he felt like you should be acting
- 37:14after a loss. They went beyond that. I was cool with the first
- 37:20two helmets. You know, there's a limp it turned in the well,
- 37:29and then there may have been one or two guys like, woll, I'm
- 37:30gonna be there unless you next week. So you know, I don't care
- 37:34that we lost here because I'm finna go somewhere else and play for them anyway.
- 37:37So he didn't go into deep, deep detail. Did you didn't see
- 37:39any deep details? I think he kind of left like maybe I really,
- 37:45I really would like to hear what he's There's a level in which I allow
- 37:49and see, and then there's going a little too far. And I guess
- 37:53they in that instance went a little further than he even he wanted to show
- 37:59a little. He said. That's kind of just how it started. Then
- 38:01it started going into the next phase. Uh, we'll be back with more
- 38:07the Sports Jock Show right after this style me. So you given no choice?

- 41:00the sports job. Wayne Gandy. Between between a log one say you can
- 41:24see a sports jaint I'll shing even Big Jenny. Welcome back to this one
- 41:31shock show up this one shock, Wayne Gandy, Commantion, Greg McKinny,
- 41:36the Bad Producer, all in the building this morning. Good morning, guys,
- 41:39eye contact. I appreciated, appreciate. There we go, There we
- 41:43go, and uh we left. Talking about Nick Saban and just giving his
- 41:45assessment of why he left and decided to give up his job. There has
- 41:52been a lot of speculation that Omaha Production, which is part of that Manning
- 41:58Peyton Manning and his family's production company and trying to unite Bill Belichick and Nick
- 42:06say been maybe for a little segment or a show. I say, bring
- 42:09them, call them the Sports Reporter. Remember the old show called the Sports
- 42:13Reporters. Yeah, well they had a little four or five panels. It
- 42:15was all reporters. But hey, put Nick and Bill up there, and
- 42:20it's going to be a short show. I already know the old school,
- 42:23their old school. They as much money as they have always made. Both
- 42:30of these guys always showed me that coaching they had it had fallen into addiction.
- 42:39Really like. They never gave me this feel that they was coaching for
- 42:44money. They gave me more. They was coaching for accolades and winning that
- 42:51kind of stuff than it was on the money side of the game. So
- 42:57a lot of their answers are going to be more on what they you and
- 43:00most people now call old school. Bill Belichick seemed like some of his tiring
- 43:07was that the modern day athlete don't even try to run off the injury.
- 43:12They just run to the tent. What happened to play the next play?
- 43:16I think it's broke, but give me one more play, call that run,
- 43:21and then I get out there. It's broke, Coach, I tried,
- 43:24though. Nowadays they just run. They run right to the locker room.
- 43:29How many times you turn on the film or the game now and the
- 43:32guy he doesn't even pause at the bench, go right to the tent.
- 43:37He goes to the tent or to the locker room. He don't even stop
- 43:39by. Let the coach know. Coach be like, what's going on,
- 43:43Oh he's not available? What happened? And it's the same thing. It's
- 43:47just that these two guys cut from a different cloth. Some guys they always
- 43:52played the game. So even though Pete Carroll is their age, Pete Carroll
- 43:57has always given you the feel that that was his style, right he's always
- 44:01going to come all the way down to meet the guy. Right, I'm
- 44:07gonna come out. I'm gonna come from A all the way down to C
- 44:09to meet the guy where he's at where Bill and Nick always gave you.
- 44:15I'll meet you at level B. But you're gonna have to show me something.
- 44:20And I think that's where even you were talking about guaranteed playtime. That's
- 44:24not how Nick built his empire. Where you go into the that's pro ball.
- 44:30That's why I left pro ball. Pro ball is more. You gotta
- 44:34play this guy because you ain't. You only got three tackles, so you
- 44:37gotta play two of them. R College, I can just be pulling.
- 44:43I can rotate play to play. I can just keep it. So Nickson,
- 44:49there you were sending this office coach, I need to guarantee I'm gonna
- 44:51play next year. I'm gonna leave. That'll make someone like a Nick Saban
- 44:55leave the game. But Nick Saban stepping away, and at their age,
- 45:00they might start having fun jetting around like demanding brothers and just do their own
- 45:06show. We have a Nicking bill from a Facebook live go ahead from Donnie
- 45:10Brown. He says, yesterday, calling the Paul Finbaum Show said that it
- 45:15was the hunter or a defensive player who went ballistic and slammed his helmet,
- 45:20started cussing, dropping f bobs and saying he was out of there. Should
- 45:22be noted he was all in likelihood coming out for the draft anyway, but
- 45:28in fact he let his emotions spill over in that fashion didn't sit well with
- 45:30Sabing. Yeah, nothing, I said to him with what it might have
- 45:36been Dallas Turner as well, who has entered the draft okay and easily.
- 45:40At this point. I keep saying this much success, this much, This
- 45:46age very sensitive as far as coaching, to be able to walk away if
- 45:53things aren't on the right page for you. You can find yourself walking away
- 45:58at this time for both of these guys. Belichick, but he's interesting to
- 46:01see if Bill, we know I've seen Nick, he changes when he gets
- 46:07on TV. Bill Belichick still kind of is Bill Bellich just Bill And so
- 46:14I don't know. Dick have to do a lot of the talk. And
- 46:16I was going to say, do you think that there's an ear for that
- 46:21era of voice? You said they're old school guys, and when they do
- 46:24the talking about college football in this era of talking about college football. They're
- 46:31basic nuts and bolts approach. Do you think that'll have to be relegated to
- 46:36some sort of classic college football talk or do you think he can stand side
- 46:42by side with the college game days because now even with the reporting going on,
- 46:46there's so much happening in the background. What's the guy name with the
- 46:52used to be the kicker, McFee McAfee. He can be broadcasting from a
- 46:58game and he's got a kicking comp petition going on for fifty thousand dollars while
- 47:01we're talking about the game of the week coming up saving Belichick. They don't
- 47:07seem like they they're much of all right, let's get the crowd hype.
- 47:10God, I don't kind of people you don't have to have that. You
- 47:14don't think they don't. They'll be able to stay in they'll be able to
- 47:16talk because the McAfee's the Desmond Howards, all these guys, it's on these
- 47:22shows now, they're they're right in that wheelhouse. They could be able to
- 47:24talk with them and give a little bit more knowledge. It's not like you're
- 47:28gonna have these younger guys in their twenties and thirties who are probably possibly who's
- 47:31causing some of these feelings and anxiety that Nick and Belichick maybe having. But
- 47:37they're they're gonna fall right in and be able to communicate with the people who's
- 47:40on the stage because they're they're they're just gonna put a little bit more what
- 47:45can I say, makes solidify a lot of more things that they're saying now
- 47:49because of their knowledge and their hardware and and like you say, I'm with
- 47:52you saving on TV man, he's funny, he turns into a character.
- 47:58So yeah, I think there's a definitely a great amount of people that would
- 48:02instantly log on to see them play. I mean talk right because the two
- 48:08the both of them, and the ability of who they could get to just
- 48:14come in on a show where they don't even need a producer. Come on
- 48:21now twenty years both places they've been their rich tradition championships. I think people
- 48:27want to hear what they have to say. We'll be back more to Sports
- 48:29Jock Show right after this oconal the mono waiting here. I'm saying, God,
- 48:37the money getting class too. Three minutes web macing North again, it's

- 51:17I'm tired of arguing, welcome back to the show. I'm the sports
- 51:22shock, Wayne Candy, I love it. Syon Williams in the twenty three
- 51:25year old. Just going on the record, Big Kenny Commanchi grab bad producer,
- 51:30putting it out there, letting you know. If I'm voted into the
- 51:34All Star Game at any point, I'll do the dunk contest. If I'm
- 51:42not an All Star, I'm not doing the dunk contest, plain and simple,
- 51:51very reasonable could go. If I'm in the All Star Game, basically
- 52:00I'll do it. If I'm not, I might not even attend the All
- 52:04Star Game. I'm going to I'm going to Bora Bora until I need to
- 52:09come back and play. I can very I ain't mad at you on that
- 52:13one's and I feel what you're saying. If I'm there, I'm there.
- 52:16But if I'm not, I'm going somewhere else. I don't even need to
- 52:20be in attendance. If I'm not an All Star, if my game hasn't
- 52:24reached the level to be voted an All Star, I'm not. I don't
- 52:30just want to just want to work. I don't just want to be some
- 52:34of these other guys that that's all they known for standing around at the All
- 52:38Dunk In being in the Dunk Contest. Bad Dosie, you had your thumbs
- 52:44down. I didn't like how why I look at it like he's saying,
- 52:47either vote me in. I feel like like what you said right in,
- 52:51I mean, let's work on what you need to work on and then get
- 52:53voted in. Instead of say if I'm there, say when I get there,
- 52:58I mean when you look at at it backwards. He's been an All
- 53:00Star twice already, but people want him to be in the Dunk Contest.
- 53:07So he wasn't voted an All Star this year even though he's been playing.
- 53:13But he's looking at as if I'm in the All Star Game, then I'll
- 53:19do it. He's been in All Stars, Okay, this is this is
- 53:22I want him to do. This year has been contest. This year has
- 53:24been the probably the healthiest he's been prior to the two times that he's been
- 53:30voted in or put in on the team. So to me, it sounds
- 53:35like he's in like, hey, I played this year, I'm here,
- 53:38but then all of a sudden, I didn't get voted in. But the
- 53:42years I'm not, I wasn't playing. Well, I was hurt, I
- 53:44got put on it. That wasn't what but what? But what? I'm
- 53:47just asking you, This is what I'm saying to you. When you're saying
- 53:50that he got put in two times before, I'm just saying that he's played
- 53:53this year, he didn't get voted in. Then he makes that statement as
- 53:57if, hey, if you vote me in, I'll go because he's not.
- 54:01He's not asking you to vote him in. Well, he's explaining to
- 54:06you who want him to be in the Dunk Contest that if he gets voted
- 54:12into the All Star Game, he'll do it All Star before. But then
- 54:21I was going to ask was he in the Dunk Contest before when he was
- 54:24voted Okay, because because of injuries trying to probably the team didn't want him
- 54:31to do it or protect him against himself. I understand, But since he's
- 54:36been healthier this year, he could people want him to do it. So
- 54:40he put it out there that if he's voted in or name the reserve or
- 54:45whatever, he'll do it. And it seems like it seems a little like
- 54:50both things could be true. It seems like a little bit of duress,
- 54:53Like look y'all been waiting on this, so you might as well get it
- 54:58now while while while both my legs are working right, So yes, you
- 55:02know, and it I hate sometimes the what I perceive as the amount of
- 55:12leverage the players have over the NBA. I don't have. But how do
- 55:15I have leverage over you on something that is voluntary? Well, I mean
- 55:22who votes on the All Star Game and who put it? You know,
- 55:24I'm saying all of it is voluntary me doing anything outside of the contract.
- 55:31There's no contract for the dunk contest or a three point yeah, so if
- 55:36it doesn't benefit me as a player, why do I join it? We
- 55:39keep forgetting that the greats the legend of Michael Jordan. I know it drives
- 55:44y'all to think that Michael Jordan was doing the dunk contest because he wanted to
- 55:47prove that he was the best dunker. No, he was doing what he
- 55:52did taking his shoe to an unworldlygue, another universe. These guys don't have
- 56:00a reason, and we keep trying to tap into the old adages to make
- 56:07them the man saying, if he's healthy and he's in the All Star Game,
- 56:12I'll do it. But why do y'all want people to be in the
- 56:15dunk contest so bad that y'all start tearing down. Why they're not. Nobody's
- 56:25tearing him down. He had some great dunks in the game the other night,
- 56:29and it was asked from a reporter and then he just put that out
- 56:32there. It's like, and the dunk contest used to be the lynch pin
- 56:36of All Star Weekend. The game itself was something that wasn't add on,
- 56:40but the dunk contest is what everybody bought their tickets for. It's what we
- 56:45rushed home to watch from wherever location we were at. It was what was
- 56:49the premiere display of NBA talent. These are the best players, and it
- 56:54used to be will none of them? Then you're talking about the used to
- 56:59and the used to. It used to be twenty five thousand dollars if you
- 57:04wont Now these guys get twenty million dollars shoe deals without a dunk. The
- 57:14dunk contest doesn't help you do anything. Now. I'm not saying that the
- 57:20dunk contest will elevate him any farther than what he's already elevated. I'm saying
- 57:24that whomever votes on the dunk contest if they already don't have his name as
- 57:30ay, yes, put him in ballot. Maybe he feels like this will
- 57:34encourage them, will spur them to want to see him bad enough. Y'all.
- 57:40Those are two different things. You don't have to be voted in for
- 57:45the Dunk contest. You basically have the volunteer. Yeah, but I'm saying
- 57:47he's saying, only way I'm gonna do it unless I'm on the All Star
- 57:51team. So he's basically got to put me on All Stars. It's a
- 57:53convenience thing. Like, Okay, if I'm not in the All Star Game,
- 57:58I'm not gonna go to wherever the All Star Game is. I'm going
- 58:00to take a vacation and come back for the ret for the regular season.
- 58:07But if I'm in the All Star Game, then I'm gonna participate because that
- 58:10and that's because he knows that's what people want to see. People want to
- 58:15see him do it. But he needs right just to be a little just
- 58:21to be a little convenient for him, Like, Okay, I'm in the
- 58:22All Star Game. I'm already gonna be there, so I'll participate. I'm
- 58:27not gonna do it just to do it, and We'll be back more to
- 58:29the Sports Jock Show right after this, don't go Away bore of the Sports
- 58:36Jock Show with Wayne Gandidias coming up next about something exciting life insurance. Three
- 58:44quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet
- 58:49only forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five,
- 58:52me and my wife were just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 58:55forever. Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What about you?
- 59:00Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty, with
- 59:02a kid in college and bills piling up, I was worried how my family

- 1:01:02Wayne you comes I'm doing. Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way,
- 1:01:24Welcome back to this one shock show. I'm this Hoe Shock Wayne King to
- 1:01:28good morning. Tell you out there in this thing land. Nick saban Uh
- 1:01:30is uh letting people know why he is out. Hopefully him and Bill Belichick
- 1:01:37will get a show. Love to see those two go add it. See
- 1:01:39if they have any difference in opinion. Uh, they seem to be cut
- 1:01:44from the same kind of cloth. We We talked about Zion Williamson saying that
- 1:01:49if I'm in the All Star Game, not if you put me in the
- 1:01:54All Star Game, but if I am in the All Star Game, I
- 1:01:59will d do the dunk con test. So I guess next time we'll see
- 1:02:05him in a dunk contest, which I don't know why you need to see
- 1:02:07him in a dunk contest. All you have to do is look for the
- 1:02:10schedule of the Pelicans and watch the game that's all. He literally is a
- 1:02:20guy who to do the same dunks. He doesn't need a clear runway to
- 1:02:23dunk on people. That's his thing. But I'm just glad for finally this
- 1:02:30has been the healthiest year of his career where he's been out here to be
- 1:02:35able to participate. He will be here in Atlanta on Sunday. Hopefully he
- 1:02:38won't get hurt here between now and Sunday. He will be here to play
- 1:02:43against the Hawks who won last night against the Calves without Trey Young for the
- 1:02:49Hawks, without Donovan Mitchell for the Cavaliers, but still was a great game
- 1:02:54to watch. Deon Sanders's new book came out Theaate and Dominate. Twenty one
- 1:03:00Ways to Win On and Off the Field is what Prime Time is bringing to
- 1:03:07you, trying to make you a winner. Make sure you get you a
- 1:03:12copy of that out there, bad producer. I know he's one of your
- 1:03:16heroes that you will inspire to live up to Twenty one Ways to Win On
- 1:03:24and Off the Field with Dion Sanders. Now, was this something that they
- 1:03:31had planned to drop around now, maybe expecting that he would have done better
- 1:03:36at Colorado or what he's done up to this point qualifies him to feel like
- 1:03:42he can advise you on twenty one ways to be successful. Eluded alluded to
- 1:03:49this book during the season that he had a book that he was writing,
- 1:03:52I think, you ran, I Think, and it dropped yesterday and wasn't
- 1:03:55no pushing back to release date, No till we get a better recruiting class
- 1:04:01or something like that. Now we're gonna go and release it. When we
- 1:04:03release it. There's an instant antidote from the from the book. He says,
- 1:04:10I don't use cologne. Somebody might pick up on my scent and ask
- 1:04:14what is that you're wearing? I just say confidence, And he has filed
- 1:04:18an application to trademark the word confidence as a potential brand for after shave cologne,
- 1:04:25the orderan and so on. Hmm, wow, wow, Okay,
- 1:04:32that makes me furtherther not want to read the book. And you're making statements
- 1:04:39like that, and a related story, now I don't even want you to
- 1:04:41give me the book. And then a related story, I'm going to trademark
- 1:04:45the word gas for for clothes and body spraysed and just reasons to explain why
- 1:04:54you smell like that. That definitely made me not won't you don't even give
- 1:04:58me like like he could have. I wasn't gonna buy it. He could
- 1:05:01have and maybe somebody thought they was gonna give it to me. Don't even
- 1:05:04do that. He could have held that little piece until maybe after the first
- 1:05:08week sales numbers. Did not need to hear that prime. We gotta get
- 1:05:14better on those kinds of things. We talked about Kirk Cousins and his possible
- 1:05:17landing zone here in Atlanta for the Falcons, Justin Fields had some competition as
- 1:05:25the season wind down, Justin Fields of the Bears looked like he might have
- 1:05:29a clear runway to have all the power. But with Kirk Cousins being in
- 1:05:32play, possibility, Russell Wilson being in play now it is, and you
- 1:05:39got five six quarterbacks in the draft. So now there's a lot of people
- 1:05:45here, Caleb Williams, Michael Pennix, Bot Niggs, Drake May, all
- 1:05:51these guys, Jayden Daniels. So you're at that end with Kirk Cousins,
- 1:05:56Justin Fields, and Russell Willison. You have a real interesting next couple of
- 1:06:02weeks here leading into the draft, and who will your team get to try
- 1:06:10to succeed next year. The NFL trying to bring back the excitement to the
- 1:06:15kickoffs. Oh really, how many times did I tell you all that when
- 1:06:20you removed it, you listen to the babbleheads like the bad producer about how
- 1:06:29to make the game for people who never played the game. You removed the
- 1:06:33kickoff. What did you think was gonna happen? Excitement went down? Oh,
- 1:06:40we're trying to protect the players. Okay, everything you remove is excitement.
- 1:06:47You remove hitting, hitting you It was exciting, man, was It
- 1:06:54was an aspect that was literally legends were made. Mike Singletary running lot.
- 1:07:02Just as much as were looking for Tyreek Hill to catch some seventy yard touchdown,
- 1:07:09we were also looking for tryp Troy Polamalo to catch Big Kenny on that
- 1:07:15slint route. And it was all day. I've been sitting there all night.
- 1:07:18The kick off. Okay, you got you got away with it twice.
- 1:07:20Not Big Kenny, I'm telling you. And then you went in there
- 1:07:23one more time. Hey, somebody call the ambulance. Hey, I'm sorry
- 1:07:27that you're in the ambulance, but I've been waiting all day. Yeah,
- 1:07:30that kickoff is for Derwin James to hit you cover a ground. That's really
- 1:07:34It's almost like watching that wildlife show where the gazelle is in front of the
- 1:07:39cheetah and like you you kind of hoping the gazelle get away, But if
- 1:07:44he don't, you know, it's still gonna be exciting that to kick off
- 1:07:46there and break away. You will think he gone, And then is that
- 1:07:49pala malo? Yeah, that's the hair that's gonna be hurt. How bound
- 1:07:55And it was like, whoa that not just as exciting. Yeah, some
- 1:08:00times more excited than some of the others. You heard a lot of strategy
- 1:08:05about like guys don't go over the middle, or this guy he actually will
- 1:08:10go over the middle, so that would like, oh, is he going
- 1:08:13to do it today? Well, now they're bringing trying to figure out how
- 1:08:15to bring the kickoff back. Remember they made the ball up. They got
- 1:08:19rid of where they can make a wall. A wall was where two three
- 1:08:24players would run back on the returns, and they removed that. So now
- 1:08:30those guys can run back, but they have to be a certain distance so
- 1:08:33that they can get back there, but they can't come together where you see
- 1:08:38it as a wall. Most times on kickoffs, as you can see,
- 1:08:42unless it's bad weather, the kicker kicks the ball in the end zone,
- 1:08:45so there is no return, and they're going even further of trying to and
- 1:08:49see when you start doing these things, then it truly lets me know that
- 1:08:56the casinos are in the mix. Now you're trying to on side kicks,
- 1:09:01like the number of on side well, they're trying to regulate on side kicks
- 1:09:08until the fourth quarter. You can only on side kick in the fourth quarter,
- 1:09:13and you have to tell the team that you're about to on side kick
- 1:09:16the ball. So that sounds like Vegas. What do you mean you're gonna
- 1:09:29tell the other team that you're gonna on side Well, I might want the
- 1:09:35game and start the game off with them, you know why, because you
- 1:09:41want the bets. You want them to place. How many yards he will
- 1:09:45get on the kickoff return. These are all the little and this is why
- 1:09:49for those who want it, Oh dad, let's gamble. Let's now you're
- 1:09:55gonna see the effect of Vegas on the game sports. One of our listeners
- 1:10:01named Fat Louis that says, uh, maybe, per se, you should
- 1:10:08not attach Vegas to this so much. Per se, sir, Well,
- 1:10:14Vegas. When I say Vegas, I mean any gambling house in the country
- 1:10:19from Atlantic City to what's the place in North Carolina the Harrock Cherokee. A.
- 1:10:29Louis says, Atlantic City sounds specific person when you add that in.
- 1:10:35Now I need more things to go back? How many yards? Who will
- 1:10:41return the kick? Remember all these things? What you putting in? How
- 1:10:45moving them? How many minutes into the fourth quarter will you use these?
- 1:10:49So these are prop bet prop bets legislation. Yeah okay, yeah that sound.
- 1:10:57And now you want to limit the on side kick. As the bad
- 1:11:00said, you know, maybe I wanted to start the game that way because
- 1:11:03everybody's going to build a wall. Maybe I've been watching film and your front
- 1:11:09wall does run back blindly. The two guys that for some reason, I've
- 1:11:14watched three games and they just open and start running. They never check the
- 1:11:19ball. That's how they look for those little tidbits. I'm watching film to
- 1:11:26see Big Kenny and command Shee Greg on the return. I've watched three straight
- 1:11:30games. They never checked the ball. They just go running. They just
- 1:11:34go running back. Okay, we got something for that. We got to
- 1:11:39test it. Hey man. But now, but now, not only do
- 1:11:42I have to wait till the fourth quarter, but I gotta go we've got
- 1:11:45some tricker recoming. Hey guys, We've got some tricker recoming. And that's
- 1:11:49the rule. It's just like the magician what was his name, Fat Fat
- 1:11:53Louis, Fat Louis, who probably ain't but one hundred and sixty pounds.
- 1:11:57He just he big in the streets in this neighborhood. That's what I mean
- 1:12:01by the gambling ass Right, you're starting to create ways that gambling can be
- 1:12:09placed and to ensure certain things happen. Yeah. Yeah, the musician influx
- 1:12:15of money in the fourth quarter, we know that because of the on side.
- 1:12:18And basically, like you said, they're basically letting everybody be a magician.
- 1:12:23You know, you're showing how to do the magic treat and I don't.
- 1:12:26I don't like it all. And me telling you anything I'm about to
- 1:12:29do sounds crazy. Has it done? Strategy? I might have to bring
- 1:12:34this back to the ocean because that could be the craziest thing, like like
- 1:12:39you turned my wife twenty twenty four. Hey, baby, I met an
- 1:12:42understudy today. It was craziest thing. She's just a nice looking girl.
- 1:12:49Of remind you of Serena. Put me back more to Sports Jock Show.
- 1:12:53Right after this She's Blood and at you Love Me, John bow Away or

- 1:13:15bad behavior has become normalized at interscholastic athletic events. Some fan seem angry,
- 1:13:20they lack civility toward one another. Some even get aggressive and unruly. Time
- 1:13:27out. What is going on? This has to stop. Let's not forget
- 1:13:33school sports aren't just about winning, and they're definitely not an excuse to take
- 1:13:38your frustrations out on the official or the opponent. They're about teaching lessons like
- 1:13:43perseverance, respect and empathy so students can learn and grow as people, not
- 1:13:48just as players. We all have a role to play in setting a good
- 1:13:53example for our students and teaching them these important values. So fans, it's
- 1:13:58time to step up your game and behave positively at interscholastic athletic events in Georgia.

- 1:19:56the law it ain't. What you know is what you can prove. He
- 1:19:59must have had awesome, awesome legal representation. But I've proved that you hired
- 1:20:03a man to kill the woman that was pregnant with your child, and they
- 1:20:09killed her while she was pregnant, and the child suffered from lack of oxygen,
- 1:20:14which caused the child to have different ailments through its life, and it's
- 1:20:18living a lower quality life than it would have because of that. And you
- 1:20:24only spent seventeen years in prison after you put it that way. Out to
- 1:20:29get another dub, you know what I'm saying, They out of hit him
- 1:20:30with at least another twenty years. That that was, But when that happened,
- 1:20:35we were all like, what twenty years? Like that seemed like like
- 1:20:40you get that for weed. Whenever you tried to even escape, you jumped
- 1:20:44in a car and somebody drove you over to Tennessee and the trunk they found
- 1:20:48you at a motel six or something like that. But we didn't all hit
- 1:20:51out at the motil six am I right of my right? We hadn't all
- 1:20:56been on the run and ended up at the motor. I've never been on
- 1:20:59the run at all, so I don't definitely okay, so so not you.
- 1:21:02But the rest I haven't been in a trunk of a car since my
- 1:21:04mom was sneaking me into the drive through back in seventy seven. So at
- 1:21:09least you've been experienced, So at least you you have. It might have
- 1:21:13been different periods of our life, but you know what I'm talking about.
- 1:21:15She wasn't kiddingapping me, but I wasn't kidding still and I hadn't committed premeditated
- 1:21:23murder. That's not put the nuances on it. Sorry. Joey Chestnut down
- 1:21:27thirty nine perogis in two minutes. You ever had a parogi? No?
- 1:21:32No, sir? Have you ever had parogi? Think? So it's like
- 1:21:39a like a one time, like a yeah, did you go doppling?
- 1:21:45Yes? Yes? Up in the Northeast area Pittsburgh, they love them up
- 1:21:48there. Now. When I played for the Stillers, you can get them
- 1:21:50in all kinds of flavor. Yeah, yeah, most famous. Do you
- 1:21:54ever think Joey Chestnut's gonna like go to his doctor, and his doctor be
- 1:21:58like, joe look, come on, man, you're gotta do something different.
- 1:22:02I'm quite sure the doctor's already told him that he decided and that he
- 1:22:06gonna go going this way the fortune and fame. His idea is to Okay,
- 1:22:13we're not gonna do the hot dogs. We're just going to eat something
- 1:22:15else A lot. Well, I'm saying, I used to think it was
- 1:22:17just hot dogs. But he eats throughout the year. He doesn't just have
- 1:22:21like his his one fourth of July event. No, no, his profession.
- 1:22:27Right, we may have ten or twelve events in a year, if
- 1:22:30not more. Remember we had a show maybe a handful of years ago.
- 1:22:34Gentlemen came on said he had beaten Joey Chestnut kale and kille eating eating kale,
- 1:22:41and we was all shocked that there even was a eating count, and
- 1:22:45we thought he kind of him. On the show. Yeah, we talked
- 1:22:47that k beat Joey Chestnut and he admitted that in other other areas he couldn't
- 1:22:55beat him, but in kale, for some reason, he could eat kale
- 1:23:00faster than Joey. Right, it was his double Stumpy Joey impressed me because
- 1:23:04they beat to my thirty nine parogis in two minutes. I can't even eat
- 1:23:09thirty nine parogis in a setting, in a setting called life. You know
- 1:23:14what I'm saying, pokis, I've seen them and they are very feeling.

- 1:27:39don't know. I don't know how far that is got you. Well,
- 1:27:42I've got to say they didn't tell you when they Well, they're making the
- 1:27:45news after a fundraiser was uploaded and showing that they were in the basketball gym
- 1:27:55trying to raise money and some kind of way. The high school fundraiser was
- 1:28:01of students licking toes. Yes, they were licking peanut butter. I guess
- 1:28:10they were having a competition who could lick the peanut butter offer other students toes
- 1:28:17the fastest to raise money. It doesn't say what particular calls Big Kenny comancher
- 1:28:26Greg bat producer that they were raising the money. I guess it could have
- 1:28:30just been for the general school fund. The principal made sure that everyone knew
- 1:28:35that they had nothing to do with it. Is an Edmund Oklahoma? You
- 1:28:40ever heard Edmund? I have Okay, Oklahoma? Is Dial Creek High School.
- 1:28:45The school says that they did not condemn it themselves, even though they
- 1:28:53didn't particularly know what was going on. But the kids raised one hundred and
- 1:28:56fifty thousand dollars. Wow. In the fundraiser. There's a lot of money.
- 1:29:01And now it's an only fans, Paige. There's a lot of money.
- 1:29:05Now we have kids, and then you know when I was in high
- 1:29:10school, you had fundraisers one hundred and fifty grand. There's a lot of
- 1:29:13money for one event fundraiser, but high school nothing like a little pervosity.
- 1:29:18Yeah, And one of our listeners, mister Eric Badger, says, good
- 1:29:27morning, brother retired and got my popcorn. No golf today, watching you
- 1:29:31guys, so thank you very much with your badge as mister Badger has ever
- 1:29:35does he like peanut butter? Though, Okay, I'm sure he's listening.
- 1:29:40Watch do you like peanut butter? Now, let's go ahead and get straight
- 1:29:44to the meeting matter. Do you like peanut butter on toe? But particularly?
- 1:29:48The superintendent from the state of Oklahoma says that it is disgusting. We
- 1:29:55are cleaning up this filth in Oklahoma schools. Our agency is in investigating.
- 1:30:00Uh, definitely some of the parents parents is unbelievable. I still aren't really
- 1:30:05sure how this all got organized. Return to money, they said, they
- 1:30:11said, That's what I'm saying it. It's disgusting to get back to cheese.
- 1:30:14They said, what it was, what it was for uh, they
- 1:30:16do. It was for they do fundraising events for a whole week. And
- 1:30:21this was for a place called a nonprofit called Not Your Average Joe Coffee.
- 1:30:26It's a nonprofit that employs students and adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities
- 1:30:32in coffee shops in the Oklahoma City area. Okay, so here's the here's
- 1:30:38the deal. Let's put it out there. And he says, hell no,
- 1:30:44let's put it up well, not on toes. And I want to
- 1:30:46say, Kenny, bad Producer commands Craig, I give you ten thousand dollars.
- 1:31:05Would you lick some jiff off some toe? Do you get to choose
- 1:31:12the toes? Yeah? Yeah, I'm saying I choose the female toes.
- 1:31:17You command? She gregg toes. No, no, ten thousand right now
- 1:31:23on the tape. No, no, you gotta no, no no,
- 1:31:27Big Kenny says, no. Baduce No, bad Producer says, no command.
- 1:31:33She gragged ten grands of lock licks some peanut butter off of Big Kenny's
- 1:31:38toes. That would be a no no. So okay, y'all ain't trying
- 1:31:43to make no money. I'm saying one hundred and fifty thousand dollars no,
- 1:31:50not off command you gregs toes now bad, not off commands she toes No,
- 1:31:57not even my own toes now, my own to I'm going to true.
- 1:32:01I'm going to gona go ahead, and I'm gonna get the one fifty.
- 1:32:05I ain't gonna get the one fifty. Yeah, I'm gonna do I'm
- 1:32:08gonna get the one. I can't do it. Yeah, well you'll see
- 1:32:10what you'll need to spend that uh some of that on therapy. No,
- 1:32:15I won't get that funcus off you. No, I won't. No,
- 1:32:18I won't. I'm just you know, we used to play this game all
- 1:32:24the time in the locker room. How much and everybody's nine percent time on
- 1:32:32nine to nine percent of the subject, everybody had No, No, that's
- 1:32:36that macho. Come in here over one hundred fifty thousand dollars. I'm gonna
- 1:32:42get the money. Y'all have done worse things in your life. I know
- 1:32:45the three of the two of you. I know. No, No,
- 1:32:48I ain't because because you're estimating based on who told, which means it's in
- 1:32:57rain. Y'll just limits it ain't the toe licking as much as it is.
- 1:33:04I'm saying, tell them out to toe so somebody got a story.
- 1:33:11I tell it's somebody with a toe licking story for free, So it ain't
- 1:33:15the toe licking I'm opposed to. Well, it's just to command you great,
- 1:33:19okay, okay, now you're free told over here for her, but
- 1:33:26not one hundred and fifty gees that could okay, I get you free to
- 1:33:30free toes damit Smith being upset. Guys, can we as you keep an
- 1:33:38eye on that story since it's from your home state. Of how this turns
- 1:33:41out, I'm quite sure some people got fired. I just hadn't seen it
- 1:33:44online yet because superintendents looked like he was about to go and fire a bunch
- 1:33:50of people for having that fundraiser. But the teacher and there was no teachers.
- 1:33:56There was no faculty or any of this involved. I wonder if they're
- 1:34:00gonna get the money back though yeah, I'm saying no, they ain't gonna
- 1:34:03get no money. But the nonprofit has been getting bad reviews. Oh yeah,
- 1:34:09that's if you really want to make But they' saying they're taking it too
- 1:34:12far. But the nonprofit didn't tell them to come up with that way to
- 1:34:15raise the money. The nonprofit has benefiting from the resources they didn't say,
- 1:34:19go lick toes to get us some resource. Emmitt Smith is being upset with
- 1:34:26the University of Florida with their decision to basically fire the diversity Equity Inclusion Office.
- 1:34:33Thirteen people were let go at the University of Florida. EMMITTT. Smith.
- 1:34:39The University of Florida running back legend also won three Super Bowls with Dallas
- 1:34:45with the Cowboys. But as far as and its rightfully so that anyone else
- 1:34:53could be upset about this disappearing at the school. But in the University of
- 1:35:00Florida's case, this fits up with the state law. Right then the Governor
- 1:35:06of Florida pass some bill that basically removes from state funded companies or institutions and
- 1:35:15institutioning for public university. Right, so this wouldn't necessarily be something that the
- 1:35:21University of Florida enacted as much as they did in an effort to stay in
- 1:35:28compliant. Correct, well, not not necessarily compliant. You can still have
- 1:35:31those programs, they just won't be funded by the state. Okay, now
- 1:35:35you have to find the money some kind of other way, and that lets
- 1:35:39you know by the by letting them go. Hey, no funds, no,
- 1:35:43no need to have this. Well, yeah, that means that they
- 1:35:45possibly could bring it back, but they gotta we got right now. We
- 1:35:49gotta find the money, the money for it right to have this department,
- 1:35:53or we might not be able. We can have this department, but we
- 1:35:58can't have thirteen people right. So it could be a function of that.
- 1:36:02So no knock against Emmett having this stance against his the rule. Just hope
- 1:36:11maybe he takes it to the State of Florida. Don't just leave it at
- 1:36:15your college, because I do remember this being more of something that the state
- 1:36:19passed. And I know, you know he's in Gainesville University of Florida.
- 1:36:25I know he doesn't like particularly to go to Tallahassee, but that's where he
- 1:36:29needs to go, which is the capital with his grievance, and use his
- 1:36:32power up there. He's from that Pensacola area where he grew up, so
- 1:36:38I would go up there to drive you mini van up there. Emmit,
- 1:36:43you're a great voice for the state for this kind of cause, So you
- 1:36:46know, I'm not upset to stand by you if that's what you think.
- 1:36:51I think people like that should get involved. But it could be and find
- 1:36:56out more so we'll all be more informed. Is this something that college agreed
- 1:37:00or they just having to go with the mandate right right? Because some things
- 1:37:06you get blamed for it. I had no but but now do you think
- 1:37:11that sometimes that there are mandates in place that necessarily the institution itself aren't really
- 1:37:18on board with. And this is just a good way to explain it away.
- 1:37:23Hey, we didn't really need we didn't feel like we needed it anyway,
- 1:37:26thirteen people that we're paying for some diversity stuff, but they said we
- 1:37:30had to have it. But when they said some stuff's has gotta go,
- 1:37:33this is the first one we put on a chopping block. But it ain't
- 1:37:36us man, That's what I'm saying. It could be either or it could
- 1:37:41land on their feet, or it could be they just having to follow the
- 1:37:45process at the moment. But good to see they got rid of And I
- 1:37:50guess the other state funded schools would have the same problem. You're just not
- 1:37:56hearing of it. The diversity Equity Inclusion office being shut down at University of
- 1:38:00Florida. We'll be back with more to Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 1:44:12They celebrated in Saint Augustine. It was a competition where things that I don't
- 1:44:19particularly know how to do. First and foremost. They competed in challenges like
- 1:44:25weaponized pooh noodle? What is that? The little noodles that you see the

- 1:45:20I guess they put oh yeah, out money. I've seen that where they
- 1:45:25blow the money around. You have to try to grab it. Uh.
- 1:45:29And beer belly Florida sumo wrestling. So sumo wrestling, I guess you gotta
- 1:45:35have a beer belly. You gotta have a beer belly first, which you
- 1:45:39know, and then and then find somebody willing to slam that belly into yours
- 1:45:45and wrestle, which is kind of just like sumo wrestling, which is kind
- 1:45:48of like drinking beer. Anyway, Friday night, you and the boys,
- 1:45:53you end up taking it to the grass. What you say, are you
- 1:45:58well, come get some like some kind of college activity. They have to
- 1:46:06trash talk. Ain't enough no more. You have said the wrong thing in
- 1:46:11the wrong way, And now we got to go outside. Some events that
- 1:46:15they felt they should add from this particular article. Events they should add reptile
- 1:46:19catching public's speed shopping, finding a parking spot at the beach in march,
- 1:46:29a shark tooth finding contest, and identifying if it's going to rain or about
- 1:46:33to rain based on the smell outside. Wait, now, so you're saying
- 1:46:36go to the public's food chain and buy speed. No speed, no shop,
- 1:46:43just grocery shopping. That's a weird place to buy speed. Now,
- 1:46:47why are they coming under scrutiny because I see a lot of the articles are
- 1:46:51trying to call them different names. You know, they call it low brow,
- 1:46:59rednecker, but it sounds just like that region having some fun. Low
- 1:47:05That's gonna be my rock band. Because of the different news articles you would
- 1:47:12see that start with Florida Man, and it'll be like some very odd thing
- 1:47:18or an odd crime that happened based and you see the internet memes about it.
- 1:47:26The TV show Atlanta had a couple of scenes about what the concept of
- 1:47:30Florida Man so I think it's all just like having fun with an internet shoke.
- 1:47:35And I also think that when we live in a world of overcorrection,
- 1:47:40you start making jokes about Florida the men running from the police, and then
- 1:47:45someone might want to start making jokes about the inner city Atlanta Games, and
- 1:47:49now young black men are running from police, and people don't think that's as
- 1:47:54funny. So now they want to try and get out in front of it
- 1:47:59and make racist before it becomes racist. So it just sounded like that region
- 1:48:03of Florida, those guys if you went to if you went to Louisiana to
- 1:48:09the to the swamp area, those people would have some kind of games that
- 1:48:14they that they might get together and get across the swamp on the floor where
- 1:48:16you live without drawing well. Twenty twenty four Florida Man Games winner number one
- 1:48:23was Hanky Spanky from Saint John's County. He won with fifty eight points.
- 1:48:29Good old mister Spanky. Yeah. He second was Vero Man, third was
- 1:48:34Running Space Cadets, Number four were Screaming Eagle, and number five from Duvald
- 1:48:41County was Storm Surge. Very creative names that came up with for the Florida
- 1:48:47Man games. I'm quite sure to be on TV y'all watching coin hole,
- 1:48:51so you might will watch the Florida Man game. See that's like that licking
- 1:48:55peanut butter. We'll be back in Florida Shore right after this Don't Go Away
- 1:49:12board of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dambidio's coming up next. And now
- 1:49:17let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that
- 1:49:23coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:49:28have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:49:30just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever. Life insurance.
- 1:49:33What's the last thing on my mind? What about you? Will you be

- 1:51:28on life and sports and how they intermingled. On the Sports Jack Show with
- 1:51:34Wayne Gandy. Out of Dope Memes, Step to Step, Step Means Step
- 1:51:58Back, Sports Up Show on the Suck Winn Ken t the Great Russell Westbrook,
- 1:52:02one of only about four or five guys that are in the top twenty
- 1:52:05five of scoring all time. Russell Westbrook of the Clippers had hands surgery a
- 1:52:11couple of days ago. Should be back, they're expecting before the playoffs.
- 1:52:15That's gonna be a tough out for anybody the Clippers in the playoffs. The
- 1:52:20Clippers Arena, the new two billion dollar arena they are supposed to open up
- 1:52:28next year. Some teenagers decided and I hope they're of age where maybe LA
- 1:52:34can prosecute, can prosecute as adults. And for you that like to do
- 1:52:39these kind of things, really really think about this and the climate of our
- 1:52:44society. I know it seems like fun and games, but these things now
- 1:52:51for you out there, you kids, these things are held against you longer.
- 1:52:56And two gentlemen, two young men. You uploaded this on TikTok.
- 1:53:00You went into this arena of the La Clippers new arena, you vandalized it.
- 1:53:04And if you find your footing. These are the things that haunt you
- 1:53:14people sports y'at. Do you believe in ghosts? Yes, not the ghost
- 1:53:17like Casper. But ghosts are real because ghosts are usually things that good or
- 1:53:26bad that you reflect back to. Those are ghosts. Yes. I just
- 1:53:32want to make sure you know people are always Yeah, ghosts is because you
- 1:53:35won't forget it. You ever had good and that's what I'm saying. Even
- 1:53:42the good I'm telling you, the bad moments that benefited you, you will
- 1:53:46still come back to haunt you. Yeah. I'm home sometimes once or twice
- 1:53:50a year. And the first time I dunked on a guy in high school,
- 1:53:57I found my hand up in the air like this going through that.
- 1:54:02That was thirty years ago, but I remember it's still there. That was
- 1:54:06a good ghost. The bad ghost is whatever you had. That is ghosts,
- 1:54:12the memories, our ghosts, whatever. Those ghosts, some of them
- 1:54:16terrify you. Yeah, but that person, you don't that stuff don't go
- 1:54:21like that. You might stop thinking of it infrequently, but it reflects and
- 1:54:28sometimes out of your control. As that's facts sports job when it happens,
- 1:54:32just you living proof, living proof, there's a whole bunch of things you
- 1:54:38wish you'd have done different, but you didn't. And now you just go.
- 1:54:41I'm saying that from these young men that you think these little moments,
- 1:54:45right, and then you try to go get a job at twenty five and
- 1:54:47aren't you that kid that was? Yeah? You know, and that's how
- 1:54:51the society want to be director of a sports facility. And how many people
- 1:54:57are suffering today for things that they did eighty seven me p Diddy Russell,
- 1:55:03you know, things that they almost can't remember, they don't know whether you're
- 1:55:09telling the truth, and almost can't remember what you mean. I ain't never
- 1:55:14seen you before in my life, but you got pictures, you know.
- 1:55:18It was that time in talking to the young kids in general. Hey,
- 1:55:21the society especially y'all uploading it, which is you uploaded the crime, so
- 1:55:27y'all making it easy. Literally, I ain't talking about their face wasn't covered
- 1:55:30or nothing and uploaded. And this is the thing that I think is anytime
- 1:55:35you watch a crime show, they say when it comes to witnesses, eyewitnesses,
- 1:55:41their memories sometime get fuzzy and they forget facts That ain't never been my
- 1:55:45experience in court. My witnesses always and it was four forty two on a
- 1:55:50Wednesday. They know all the details, the rafiel and the dolls withdraws from
- 1:55:55Indian Wales. You remember he has been battling the last two years just injuries.
- 1:56:01He says that he can't lie to himself or to his fans. Uh,
- 1:56:05he's just not there. And Raphael, I know you just got to
- 1:56:11hang it up, man. I know it's hard, but your style And
- 1:56:15that's the only reason when I say Raphael is a is a worker, right,
- 1:56:18He's a worker, meaning that he's not just trying to beat you with
- 1:56:23one thing where he his people are just right serve or one hand. He's
- 1:56:29one of those guys that he's a rally or him moving. He's so injury.
- 1:56:36It's like the difference between a quarterback injury having an injury right like a
- 1:56:43Aaron Rodgers. Only the quarterback can tell you that maybe I'll come back in
- 1:56:47six months from Achilles. Ain't no receiver gonna tell you that because you can't
- 1:56:55and even if people be like you lie, you can't do that because you
- 1:56:59might after jump and if you gotta jump, then you or you gotta hold
- 1:57:02somebody, then your achilles won't be able to take that pressure. But Rafael
- 1:57:06and the doll out of Indian Wales, hopefully you'll find it himself by the
- 1:57:13June or French Opening, which is always a delight. That's his show.
- 1:57:15They should just name the court Raphael and the Dollar and then he has anyone
- 1:57:20like eight nine yeah, yeah, like a third of his majors, or
- 1:57:30or the French Open. They just named the court after him. Charles Barkley,
- 1:57:33it's threatening any of you out there with the Donald Trump mug shot T
- 1:57:39shirt. I'm gonna take it a step further, Charles, And you just
- 1:57:42tell you that you shouldn't be wearing nobody mug shot? How about that?
- 1:57:46When did the mug shot t shirt become a thing. I don't know.
- 1:57:50I see people in like the al capone, right, but he is saying
- 1:57:56that the Donald Trump mug shot. Have y'all seen anybody in one? No,
- 1:58:00no, no, I've I've seen them, but I haven't seen the
- 1:58:02one physically in one Oh you've never seen Yeah, I've never seen anybody in
- 1:58:06a Donald Trump. And if you want mugshot t shirts, you can get
- 1:58:11mine. It's like a time lapse for over the years, not just the
- 1:58:15one shot, different different hairstyle. Who would be somebody you would like to
- 1:58:20wear though? If you if you had to be forced to wear a mugshot,
- 1:58:26who would it be? Ah? My little brother? Okay brother,
- 1:58:34bad producer, mm hmm. They got to be infamous, No, they
- 1:58:45could I win my own you know what I'm saying, because it could be
- 1:58:47like a little collage. I can put them. My little just has to
- 1:58:53be something that you would connect with. Probably either Maurice Clarette or Kobe's shot,
- 1:59:00one of my siblings. They all got one, Okay, so which
- 1:59:03one is the two? Probably Kobe Kobe's muks. I've never seen Kobe's mugs.
- 1:59:08What about your Greg? Uh? Because I've seen it before. Rosa
- 1:59:16parks some historical can I can I use? Like, you know the reason
- 1:59:25why people will Trump people have Michael, I will hear this excuse. He
- 1:59:30said, the reason why? What now you said? The reason why?
- 1:59:34The reason why people are would get a Trump mugs because it's for like you
- 1:59:39know, if his civil rights are being violated or free Trump, how people
- 1:59:43do what they want people to? Uh, free Rose aparts. Okay,
- 1:59:47I'm with that. So that's why I'm saying, that's why, that's why
- 1:59:50it would be made me and all my siblings mug shots on one T shirt.
- 1:59:55What I'm saying, because the five and we can all do age progression
- 2:00:01because everybody got them through the stages. That's what I'm saying. It's the
- 2:00:04family business and we are you know. The truth is he will throw yours
- 2:00:12in the ocean. It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Junk Show

- 2:01:29the ocean, because I don't want to see it and I'm tired of it.
- 2:01:31And one of the reasons I don't even get boxing matches anymore because they
- 2:01:38just be hustling. Jake Paul on July the twenties has the sided at at
- 2:01:46and T Stadium. He's gonna fight Mike Tyson. Yes, that Mike Tyson's
- 2:01:55not Mike Tyson Jr. Mike Tyson the fifty seven year year old and Jake
- 2:02:00Paul, the twenty seven year old have decided that they are going to do
- 2:02:03battle. And what they are claiming one of the biggest fights in history?
- 2:02:09Is it really? Come on, iron, Mike fifty seven, you twenty
- 2:02:14seven. I've never even seen a Jake Paul fight, So how is it
- 2:02:17gonna be the biggest in history? And Mike, it's okay, man,
- 2:02:24I know you've spoken that strong weed just relaxed withdraw It's all right, taking
- 2:02:30these kind of fights damaging your image. I just tied of it, and
- 2:02:35this is what has ruined boxing to me. So this whole sham July twentieth
- 2:02:42at and T Stadium, And for any of you that called me telling me,
- 2:02:45hey, man, you're gonna get the fight. No, I'm not
- 2:02:47getting the fight. I wouldn't pay a dollar to see this Jake Paul Mike
- 2:02:55Tyson sounds like a circus. And for that walk up plank, don't let
