- 0:28Speaker 1: dot com. Steve Moore, how you doing, hey.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Mark, I'm doing very well. Did you get your taxes
- 0:33Speaker 2: done on time?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yes? And looks a lot better this year. Everybody's going
- 0:37Speaker 1: to be very happy, right this year?
- 0:39Speaker 2: Well they should be. I mean, well, nobody's happy about
- 0:41Speaker 2: paying their tax office.
- 0:43Speaker 1: But it is.
- 0:45Speaker 2: There was relief for people, and the media has really
- 0:48Speaker 2: downplayed that. But especially by the way, for working class people.
- 0:52Speaker 2: If you're a tipped worker, you did really well.
- 0:55Speaker 1: If you have.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Overtime, you do really well. And so it's uh, it's
- 1:00Speaker 2: surprising how many people have come up to me said, oh,
- 1:02Speaker 2: I got a nice refund this year. So this was
- 1:06Speaker 2: something that would not have happened without without Trump. You know,
- 1:09Speaker 2: I was on believe it or not Cenn the other
- 1:11Speaker 2: night and debating this congress woman from the Seattle area,
- 1:16Speaker 2: and she kept referring to the Trump tax cut mark
- 1:19Speaker 2: as the big ugly bill. That's their l you know,
- 1:21Speaker 2: the big ugly bill. And I said, well, this is
- 1:23Speaker 2: so ugly. You know, why is it the average family
- 1:26Speaker 2: saving two hundred dollars on their taxes this year? And if
- 1:29Speaker 2: we had your way, congress Woman, they would have paid it,
- 1:32Speaker 2: paid a two two hundred dollars tax increase. And of
- 1:35Speaker 2: course she didn't respond to that.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Well, hey, but for them, it is ugly. It cuts taxes. Oh,
- 1:40Speaker 1: they don't like.
- 1:40Speaker 2: To see that, exactly. They hate that. Uh. And then
- 1:44Speaker 2: of course, you know, you know, Seattle has some of
- 1:46Speaker 2: the highest taxes in the country. And and so we're
- 1:49Speaker 2: seeing a reel, by the way, a real implosion of
- 1:52Speaker 2: these blue states because they just keep raising taxes over
- 1:55Speaker 2: and over again. And I just saw something on Fox
- 1:58Speaker 2: News that Katy Oakles, well, maybe we will do you know,
- 2:01Speaker 2: a tax on, an extra five percent tax on people
- 2:04Speaker 2: make over fifty five million dollars, like they're going to
- 2:07Speaker 2: be they're going to be paying you know, sixteen percent
- 2:10Speaker 2: income tax in New York and they can move to
- 2:14Speaker 2: Florida or Texas base zero. They can reduce their tax
- 2:18Speaker 2: liability by millions and millions of dollars by just getting
- 2:21Speaker 2: out of New York. And the same thing in New Jersey.
- 2:23Speaker 2: And I know you maybe people in Connecticut. I mean,
- 2:25Speaker 2: the tax are so high there that why would people say,
- 2:29Speaker 2: and a lot of them are leaving.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Hey, let me ask you something else. This is crazy,
- 2:33Speaker 1: Kathy Hokles. She's now proposing a pieta tear tax if
- 2:37Speaker 1: you happen to keep an apartment in New York. She
- 2:39Speaker 1: wants like a super tax on that. Is that the
- 2:42Speaker 1: most ridiculous thing you've ever heard?
- 2:44Speaker 2: Wait say this again. She's going to do what.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It's called a pieta tear tax. In other words, if
- 2:48Speaker 1: you live somewhere else, but you have an apartment in York,
- 2:51Speaker 1: an extra apartment that you keep in New York, she
- 2:53Speaker 1: wants to tax the hell out of it.
- 2:56Speaker 2: It's oh, well, that's just going to mean that instead
- 2:58Speaker 2: of paying, you know, spending one hundred and eighty three
- 3:00Speaker 2: days a year, and you know, stay Florida in one
- 3:03Speaker 2: hundred and eighty days and New York. Now these people
- 3:06Speaker 2: will pay play, you know, spend zero days in New York.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I mean they're chasing people out of the state and
- 3:11Speaker 2: in the city. I don't, I really don't understand the
- 3:14Speaker 2: logic of this. You know, Mark, you and I know
- 3:17Speaker 2: out Laugher very well. And the economic principle is so simple.
- 3:21Speaker 2: It's just if you tax something, you get less of it,
- 3:24Speaker 2: and if you tax something less, you get more of it.
- 3:26Speaker 2: So if you want people to come back to New York,
- 3:29Speaker 2: do you think the way to do that is apply
- 3:30Speaker 2: more taxes?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think they understand. She was yelling about
- 3:34Speaker 1: it's Russian oligarchs, the well, what does she think they
- 3:37Speaker 1: do when they get here? They go to a restaurants,
- 3:39Speaker 1: they go to stores, they spend you ever watch them,
- 3:41Speaker 1: They spend a fortune everywhere.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's it's the it's the it's the grease that makes
- 3:48Speaker 2: the city work.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Is that.
- 3:50Speaker 2: You know, you get tourists all over the place, you
- 3:52Speaker 2: get people spend a few months there, and you know,
- 3:54Speaker 2: the nice time of the year, and look, I like
- 3:56Speaker 2: New York City. I lived there for several years when
- 3:59Speaker 2: I was working at the Wells Street Torontal. It's one
- 4:01Speaker 2: of the greatest cities in the world. But it's just
- 4:03Speaker 2: being ruined by these crazy things. But I'm very pleased
- 4:06Speaker 2: to say that at least now you can go to
- 4:08Speaker 2: a government owned grocery store.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Now, let me ask you something. This guy, this Mamdanie's
- 4:14Speaker 1: supposed to be a brilliant educated every grocery store that opens,
- 4:18Speaker 1: the top chains come in. When they open a grocery store,
- 4:21Speaker 1: they tell us it's one million to three million to open.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And this is a high end grocery store. His thing
- 4:26Speaker 1: is going to be a dump in the middle of nowhere,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and he says it's going to cost thirty million. How
- 4:31Speaker 1: could he be dumb enough? Now, I mean, every other
- 4:34Speaker 1: grocery store is three million. How's his thirty?
- 4:37Speaker 2: Yeah? And you know you and I are friends with
- 4:40Speaker 2: John Katzimatitis, who owns grocery stores. Why did you just
- 4:43Speaker 2: contract out with John katz and Matiti. You can do
- 4:46Speaker 2: it in the faction of the cost that the government
- 4:48Speaker 2: bureaucrats can't. And I guarantee you I give these grocery
- 4:52Speaker 2: stores maybe eighteen months and then that this didn't work
- 4:55Speaker 2: so well. Maybe the government isn't too good at running
- 4:57Speaker 2: retail stores. They don't do anything else very well. By
- 5:00Speaker 2: the way are the checkout lines that those grocery stores
- 5:03Speaker 2: can be long as they don't.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Getting your.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Department of Over Vehicles license renewed.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, didn't we have this problem solved a million
- 5:12Speaker 1: years ago? If you wanted people can't afford food, how
- 5:14Speaker 1: do you get them free food? You give them food stamps.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Why don't we just go back to that then then
- 5:19Speaker 1: go to any grocery store. Wouldn't that well accomplished the same.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah, because you don't understand. It's these terrible immigrants who
- 5:26Speaker 2: come in and they start these little grocery stores and
- 5:29Speaker 2: they're just ripping people off. You know, that's that's why
- 5:31Speaker 2: we need the government to do it. Yeah.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Hey, the California governor's race with swallwell out, Tom tom
- 5:38Speaker 1: Steier rises up the billionaire climate tell us about Tom Steyer?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Would he be a disaster?
- 5:45Speaker 2: The mid news is that, you know, we had an
- 5:47Speaker 2: item in our outline on this today because the fact
- 5:50Speaker 2: that Swallow and by the way, I love these Fox
- 5:52Speaker 2: News you know they're doing these explosis on on Swallow
- 5:57Speaker 2: and how all these Democrats over the years. Ah, he's
- 6:00Speaker 2: the most wonderful person. I mean, he's a great, great
- 6:03Speaker 2: American and he's the face of our party. Now they're
- 6:06Speaker 2: running for the for the high Grass. But it's amazing
- 6:11Speaker 2: how he duped so many people in the Democratic Party
- 6:15Speaker 2: saying how wonderful he was. But now it's thrown out.
- 6:18Speaker 2: The California governor's race way wide open. And you can
- 6:21Speaker 2: make the case that other than the presidential race, that
- 6:23Speaker 2: you know, the second most important, you know, political race
- 6:26Speaker 2: in the country is probably governor of California. And now
- 6:29Speaker 2: the Democrats are left without a candidate except Tom Steyer,
- 6:32Speaker 2: who's a lunatic climate change billionaire, and so but I
- 6:37Speaker 2: think what's gonna By the way, let me say something
- 6:40Speaker 2: else that Steve Hilton, you know who people know from
- 6:43Speaker 2: Fox News smart. I was out there in La a
- 6:47Speaker 2: few weeks ago. He gave a speech in front of
- 6:50Speaker 2: four hundred people, and I spoke there and some others
- 6:52Speaker 2: said he as an outstanding agenda. I mean, if they
- 6:55Speaker 2: were to elect somebody with like Steve Hilton, California could
- 7:00Speaker 2: turn around over overnight.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's you know, you look at state's Texas, Florida.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You just get rid of the income tax, you get
- 7:07Speaker 1: rid of this, and all of a sudden, the place
- 7:09Speaker 1: is booming. The only problem you have is everybody wants
- 7:12Speaker 1: to move in. How come Democrats.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Can't figure that out? Well, that would be a yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I mean Florida. You know, we had a cartoon in
- 7:18Speaker 2: our hotline a few weeks ago. He said, you know
- 7:21Speaker 2: when you get on ninety five and you go through
- 7:23Speaker 2: Georgia into Florida, where you see the big sign that
- 7:25Speaker 2: says welcome to Florida, then it says working in Florida,
- 7:28Speaker 2: and that says no vacancy. I like that. So, by
- 7:34Speaker 2: the way, the income tax, just to remind people, I
- 7:37Speaker 2: think most people know this, the income tax. Do you
- 7:39Speaker 2: know what the income tax rate in Florida is?
- 7:42Speaker 1: State tax?
- 7:44Speaker 2: The state income tax zero, I think zero exactly. So
- 7:49Speaker 2: you can save a lot of money. You can either
- 7:52Speaker 2: pay sixteen percent in New York or zero in Florida.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Well, you got Bruce Blakeman running for governor. He would
- 7:59Speaker 1: be a great governor, very very common the guy.
- 8:01Speaker 2: I've been watching him in Fox. I really I think
- 8:04Speaker 2: he's an adult in the room, and I think he
- 8:07Speaker 2: would be so fantastic. I go back to you know,
- 8:10Speaker 2: when George Pataki was governor in New York. George is
- 8:14Speaker 2: a good friend of mine. I'm a big fan of his,
- 8:16Speaker 2: and boy did he help turn around the state, just
- 8:18Speaker 2: like Rudy Giuliani turned around the city. It doesn't take much,
- 8:22Speaker 2: it's not that hard, you know, just be common sensical
- 8:27Speaker 2: and do the things that are smart. But these people
- 8:30Speaker 2: like Mondamin and Jko, they just won't do it. They're
- 8:32Speaker 2: so ideological. I don't get it. They're not common sense Democrats.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And Democrats were very upset yesterday the S and P
- 8:40Speaker 1: five hundred hit the all time high record high. Amazing.
- 8:44Speaker 1: How did that happen so fast? That's pretty Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 2: And you know why that's a great story is because
- 8:48Speaker 2: the S and P five hundred none like the Dow,
- 8:50Speaker 2: which is just like the thirty biggest companies. The sm
- 8:52Speaker 2: P five hundred is five hundred mostly small medium sized businesses,
- 8:56Speaker 2: and their value keeps going up because Trump is pro growth,
- 9:00Speaker 2: pro America's pro business, and you've got to be if
- 9:03Speaker 2: you want to be pro worker, you got to be
- 9:04Speaker 2: pro business.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah, amazing story. Of course, I noticed on the Network
- 9:09Speaker 1: News it was like the twenty seventh story into the newscast.
- 9:12Speaker 1: They didn't want to open with that. Essenbly Well, I was.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Even shocked by it because you know, I just learned
- 9:16Speaker 2: that this morning. I said, geeh, I didn't see that
- 9:18Speaker 2: on the news story.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Well, Steve Moore, great stuff, and everybody should get your book.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I love the book, the Trump Economic Miracle. He gave
- 9:27Speaker 1: you the title, right, that was his title.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah, Donald Trump had the title. And we're going to
- 9:31Speaker 2: get back to that. I know these this has been
- 9:32Speaker 2: a tough patch for the economy. But when we get
- 9:34Speaker 2: the straight open and we get a victorious settlement there
- 9:38Speaker 2: in Iran, I think we're going to be right back
- 9:40Speaker 2: on the on the Trump Economic Miracle path.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Well, everybody gets the book. And the most important thing,
- 9:46Speaker 1: you got to sign up for the Daily Hotline. It's
