- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome in, Clay Travis Show.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I hope all of you are having fantastic Thursdays, wherever
- 0:06Speaker 2: you may be across the country or around the world.
- 0:10Speaker 2: I was up in New York City yesterday, had a
- 0:12Speaker 2: great time speaking at the NAB and a big event
- 0:18Speaker 2: in the Javits Center there. We posted the entire conversation,
- 0:23Speaker 2: which really was focused on why do sports keep getting more.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Expensive and.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Less beneficial for the average American sports fan.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Why are we paying way more and getting way less?
- 0:38Speaker 2: If that is intriguing to you at all, It is
- 0:40Speaker 2: posted the entire conversation I had with the president of
- 0:44Speaker 2: the NAB.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It is up on our Clay Travis YouTube page.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I link to it also from my Twitter page at
- 0:53Speaker 2: Clay Travis. You can make sure that you can check
- 0:55Speaker 2: that out. Maybe you're going to be on the road.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Maybe you just want to hear that conversation. I think
- 0:59Speaker 2: you will likely enjoy it. We have got a lot
- 1:02Speaker 2: to dive into here. NFL Week 7, College Football Week 8,
- 1:07Speaker 2: moving closer and closer as we have games kicking off tonight.
- 1:12Speaker 1: So many different.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Topics that I could jump into, but I want to
- 1:17Speaker 2: start right here because President Trump has weighed in on
- 1:20Speaker 2: this as well. The NBA season has begun, and the
- 1:24Speaker 2: game actually took place on Tuesday night for LeBron James'
- 1:29Speaker 2: new Philadelphia 76ers team, going head-to-head with the Knicks as
- 1:33Speaker 2: the Knicks celebrated their first title in 53 years. There
- 1:37Speaker 2: was a Grammy Award winner who was doing a Broadway
- 1:41Speaker 2: singer who was doing the national anthem, and this has
- 1:44Speaker 2: now gone viral. LeBron James can't show the most basic
- 1:49Speaker 2: level of self-respect for the opening night of the NBA.
- 1:54Speaker 2: He is required under his contract to be on the
- 1:58Speaker 2: floor and stand for the national anthem. This is what
- 2:02Speaker 2: the king was doing on opening night in New York City.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Singing through the.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Night that the land was given.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I won't say just a star. Okay, President Trump has
- 2:32Speaker 2: called this out. It appears to me that LeBron was
- 2:35Speaker 2: doing some sort of golf swing and then later attempting
- 2:38Speaker 2: free throws. Let me say this clearly so that all
- 2:42Speaker 2: of you can hear it, no matter where you may
- 2:44Speaker 2: see this around the world. LeBron James would not behave
- 2:48Speaker 2: like this if the Chinese national anthem was playing and
- 2:52Speaker 2: he was in Beijing.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Let me repeat that.
- 2:55Speaker 2: LeBron James would not have been practicing his golf swing.
- 2:58Speaker 2: He would not have been stretching and practicing his free throw.
- 3:02Speaker 2: He would have stood at attention and shown respect in China,
- 3:07Speaker 2: which he will not do in the United States.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Now, I'm not claiming the United States is perfect.
- 3:14Speaker 2: But if I were one of the most uniquely gifted
- 3:17Speaker 2: athletes in the history of the world, and I had
- 3:21Speaker 2: made over a billion dollars, that is a billion with
- 3:25Speaker 2: a B, in this country simply because I'm good at basketball,
- 3:30Speaker 2: I think I would have the self-respect to stand at
- 3:34Speaker 2: attention during the national anthem. LeBron James flat out won't
- 3:38Speaker 2: do it. He doesn't respect this country. There are many
- 3:42Speaker 2: foreign countries with far less freedoms that he would respect
- 3:46Speaker 2: far more. I can't wait until LeBron James retires. I
- 3:52Speaker 2: think he has actually been a net negative for the
- 3:54Speaker 2: NBA in terms of its brand. If he had never
- 3:58Speaker 2: played in the NBA, I think the NBA brand would
- 4:01Speaker 2: be stronger than it is today. Because LeBron's disrespect consistently
- 4:08Speaker 2: for the United States, turning his back on the entire
- 4:12Speaker 2: Michael Jordan era of the NBA, which is Republicans Buy
- 4:16Speaker 2: Sneakers Too, trying to appeal to the entirety of the
- 4:21Speaker 2: American sporting public and just showing the bare minimum of
- 4:25Speaker 2: gratitude for the good fortune he has to live in
- 4:28Speaker 2: the greatest country in the history of the world and
- 4:31Speaker 2: become one of the wealthiest athletes in the history.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Of the world.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Few people have been more blessed than LeBron James. The
- 4:41Speaker 2: amount of resentment, the amount of ingratitude, The amount of
- 4:46Speaker 2: contempt that he appears to have for the country that
- 4:49Speaker 2: has made he and his family incredibly wealthy is frankly
- 4:53Speaker 2: contemptible to me and why I am not a LeBron
- 4:57Speaker 2: James fan and never will be a LeBron James fan.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It's not just about the NBA, though. Evidently, the WNBA
- 5:05Speaker 2: finals are going on. I give credit to our buddy
- 5:09Speaker 2: Dan Zakrzewski. He worked with me at OutKick. He still
- 5:13Speaker 2: works at OutKick. He is covering the WNBA Finals. WNBA
- 5:18Speaker 2: players are required to be on the court for the
- 5:23Speaker 2: National Anthem. That is a contractual obligation that they have.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Three straight WNBA Finals games now The players on both
- 5:34Speaker 2: teams have refused to be on the court in violation
- 5:37Speaker 2: of their contractual requirements in the WNBA.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I believe this is Dan Zakrzewski's video. Watch.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Here's the question.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Dan was at that game.
- 6:12Speaker 2: He also, I believe, has said that he has been
- 6:15Speaker 2: to 13 straight press conferences without being allowed to ask
- 6:20Speaker 2: a question about, for instance, why are the WNBA.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Players not there for the national anthem. Now, uh, sport
- 6:29Speaker 2: and state is also covering this. And we have requested
- 6:33Speaker 2: a comment from the WNBA and the NBA about why
- 6:37Speaker 2: players in the WNBA are being allowed to violate their
- 6:41Speaker 2: contracts in this manner. Maybe partly Dan Zakrzewski is not
- 6:46Speaker 2: getting called on for questions because the WNBA PR team
- 6:51Speaker 2: also is refuses to stand for the anthem. I believe
- 6:54Speaker 2: we have either a video or a picture of them.
- 6:57Speaker 1: This is posted from Dan Zakrzewski.
- 6:59Speaker 2: By the way, the guy on the left looks like
- 7:03Speaker 2: exactly what I would expect the WNBA PR person to
- 7:06Speaker 2: look like.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So, by the way, it is the chick on the right.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Let me just point this out.
- 7:11Speaker 2: The WNBA, if they cared about having the biggest possible
- 7:14Speaker 2: audience and making the most possible money, would fire everyone
- 7:18Speaker 2: in their home office. Everyone who is a behind-the-scenes WNBA
- 7:23Speaker 2: employee should be fired because they have all failed at
- 7:27Speaker 2: their goal, which should be.
- 7:28Speaker 1: To appeal to the entirety of the nation.
- 7:32Speaker 2: The WNBA, unlike the PGA when Tiger Woods came to golf,
- 7:38Speaker 2: unlike the UFC when Ronda Rousey rose to prominence, Unlike
- 7:43Speaker 2: the WTA, the Women's Tennis Association, when Venus and Serena
- 7:47Speaker 2: Williams arrived, has utterly failed to make more money off
- 7:51Speaker 2: of a transcendent talent that has come to their sport.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Why do I use the PGA, the WTA, and the
- 7:58Speaker 2: UFC as an example? Ronda Rousey didn't look like the
- 8:01Speaker 2: average UFC fighter. Tiger Woods didn't look like the average
- 8:04Speaker 2: PGA golfer. Venus and Serena Williams did not look like
- 8:08Speaker 2: the average WTA tennis player. All of those sports, though,
- 8:12Speaker 2: when they got new talent that brought a brand new
- 8:16Speaker 2: audience to expand the horizons of the business of the league,
- 8:20Speaker 2: all of them, the PGA, the UFC, and the WTA,
- 8:24Speaker 2: all of them welcomed that new talent.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Tiger Woods, Ronda Rousey.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Venus and Serena Williams, because they recognized, all the other
- 8:32Speaker 2: athletes did, that a rising tide lifted all boats.
- 8:36Speaker 1: The WNBA has been unwilling to do that. with Caitlin Clark. Why?
- 8:41Speaker 1: Because it's not actually a sports league.
- 8:44Speaker 2: It's a political identity politics fueled coalition. And unfortunately, in
- 8:52Speaker 2: identity politics, you would rather fail than have someone who
- 8:57Speaker 2: looks different than you help to create more success for everyone.
- 9:02Speaker 2: And that, my friends, is why I think everyone in
- 9:04Speaker 2: the WNBA should be fired. to say nothing of the
- 9:08Speaker 2: tremendous disrespect that the WNBA players are showing by not
- 9:12Speaker 2: coming out for the anthem. They should have to answer
- 9:16Speaker 2: why both teams are refusing to come out. I would
- 9:20Speaker 2: have more respect for them if they explained why the
- 9:24Speaker 2: league is not enforcing its contractual requirement that players be
- 9:28Speaker 2: present for the national anthem. I would submit to you
- 9:31Speaker 2: that the answer is pretty clear because they hate America
- 9:34Speaker 2: and they refuse to honor America. the country by standing
- 9:37Speaker 2: for the national anthem.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Uh, all right. That is what is going on in
- 9:42Speaker 1: the WNBA and the NBA.
- 9:44Speaker 2: We got a bunch of picks college football bout to
- 9:47Speaker 2: kick off later today. Uh, I have got a ton
- 9:50Speaker 2: of winners for all of you. Hard rock bet. You
- 9:53Speaker 2: can go check them out at sport and state. They
- 9:55Speaker 2: go up every Tuesday night or every Wednesday. And you
- 10:00Speaker 2: can see there, you get 500 bucks if you go
- 10:04Speaker 2: play $ 5 in bets as a new user. You can
- 10:07Speaker 2: play in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee,
- 10:12Speaker 2: and Virginia. Not just if you're present in those states,
- 10:16Speaker 2: but also if you are planning to be present in
- 10:18Speaker 2: those states. As I am speaking to all of you,
- 10:21Speaker 2: we have a Thursday night football double special that is up.
- 10:25Speaker 2: You get a bonus bet boost when you go and
- 10:30Speaker 2: wager on the New England Patriots plus three tonight. You
- 10:34Speaker 2: also have a parlay from me tonight in the game
- 10:38Speaker 2: that A.J. Brown is going to score a touchdown. that
- 10:42Speaker 2: the Patriots are going to cover the three, and that
- 10:45Speaker 2: the over is going to hit, you can look for
- 10:48Speaker 2: me in the Hard Rock Bet app. I've got a
- 10:50Speaker 2: nice white button-down shirt. I'm leaning up against the wall.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I look, frankly, quite dashing. And you can join me
- 10:59Speaker 2: and be able to get hooked up by going to hardrock.bet.com,
- 11:06Speaker 2: bet $ 5, get $ 500 in bonus bets for new users,
- 11:10Speaker 2: and everyone can play along. I'm going to look up
- 11:13Speaker 2: and make sure that I get the exact bonus bet
- 11:16Speaker 2: offer that is available right now. If you go into
- 11:20Speaker 2: the Hard Rock Bet app, and if you go into
- 11:23Speaker 2: Fan Favorites, you will see Clay's Thursday Night Football Pick app.
- 11:27Speaker 2: And you are getting a great, incredible offer of a
- 11:32Speaker 2: three bet parlay that has been boosted to nearly five
- 11:35Speaker 2: to one. You're also getting better odds on the Patriots
- 11:39Speaker 2: plus three. There you see all of my NFL picks
- 11:43Speaker 2: beginning tonight with the Patriots at six.
- 11:46Speaker 1: The Bears.
- 11:48Speaker 2: And here's the Hard Rock Bet college football parlay. Kentucky
- 11:53Speaker 2: and the over. And there are a bunch of these
- 11:56Speaker 2: different picks that are out there. Again, you can go
- 11:59Speaker 2: check all this out if you go into the Hard
- 12:02Speaker 2: Rock Bet app. And we also have there, that you
- 12:05Speaker 2: saw flashed up for a moment, a bunch of different
- 12:09Speaker 2: spreads in a parlay of long shots. That also is
- 12:14Speaker 2: out there in the popular bets section. And there you
- 12:16Speaker 2: see me. That's my face right there in a white
- 12:19Speaker 2: button down that all of you can check out. OK,
- 12:24Speaker 2: I was mentioned a minute ago. I saw this clip
- 12:27Speaker 2: and I couldn't believe it was real. I mentioned that
- 12:30Speaker 2: OutKick cannot get a question asked of anyone at the
- 12:35Speaker 2: WNBA press conferences because they will not allow OutKick to
- 12:38Speaker 2: be called on as a media organization. But meanwhile, we
- 12:42Speaker 2: have questions like this. Somebody asked Angel Reese, what's it
- 12:47Speaker 2: like to become an Atlanta area sports icon like Hank Aaron,
- 12:54Speaker 2: like Dominique Wilkins? Like Deion Sanders. I can't believe this
- 12:59Speaker 2: is real, but it happened. It ain't spectacular, but it
- 13:03Speaker 2: is real.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Watch.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Atlanta has a history of prominent sports legends like Hank Aaron,
- 13:10Speaker 4: Dominique Wilkins, Deion Sanders. Some people on social media are
- 13:14Speaker 4: mentioning you amongst the greats of Atlanta's sports leaders. What
- 13:18Speaker 4: does that mean to you to be mentioned amongst the
- 13:21Speaker 4: greats of Atlanta's legends in sports?
- 13:24Speaker 5: Yeah, it definitely means a lot. I've only been here
- 13:26Speaker 5: for six months, so I don't know how y'all can
- 13:28Speaker 5: give me that yet, but all right. My goal was
- 13:31Speaker 5: to come to Atlanta and win a championship, and I
- 13:34Speaker 5: think you become one of the greatest, and you become
- 13:36Speaker 5: one of the best when you can win and impact winning,
- 13:39Speaker 5: and that's all I wanted to do coming here. Everything
- 13:42Speaker 5: else really doesn't matter to me, but when we win
- 13:44Speaker 5: this championship for the city of Atlanta that has done
- 13:47Speaker 5: so much and poured so much into the sports here,
- 13:50Speaker 5: that's what's going to feel amazing and more than anything.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I can't believe that's real.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Angel Reese has nothing in common with Hank Aaron, nothing
- 14:08Speaker 2: in common with Deion Sanders, nothing in common with Dominique Wilkins.
- 14:13Speaker 2: All of those people admittedly are Atlanta sports icons.
- 14:17Speaker 1: She is none of those.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I can't believe that that is a real question that
- 14:23Speaker 2: was truly asked.
- 14:24Speaker 1: That's who they're letting ask questions. Just utterly absurd. Okay.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Another story that is out there. It's just validation, really,
- 14:34Speaker 2: for your boy. I was told a while back, some
- 14:39Speaker 2: of you will remember this, last year, that Paul Feinbaum
- 14:44Speaker 2: had been sidelined over an interview that he did with
- 14:47Speaker 2: me that had to do with whether or not he
- 14:51Speaker 2: was allowed to go on shows.
- 14:54Speaker 1: And here you can see it.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Paul Feinbaum did an interview with Awful Announcing where he
- 15:00Speaker 2: admitted that everything that I said last year was true.
- 15:05Speaker 2: So this is directly addressed to ESPN PR. They said
- 15:11Speaker 2: that I made that story up. They accused me of lying.
- 15:16Speaker 2: They said that everything I reported last year was untrue.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Paul Feinbaum now has gone on the record and said,
- 15:23Speaker 2: everything that I said last year was true. When is
- 15:28Speaker 2: ESPN going to apologize to me? And where are all
- 15:31Speaker 2: of the people in sports media who should be embarrassed
- 15:35Speaker 2: by this that just repeat whatever ESPN says to them?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Where are they correcting the record now?
- 15:43Speaker 2: Because there were a bunch of these guys that work
- 15:45Speaker 2: in sports media that just pull their pen out and
- 15:49Speaker 2: write down whatever they are told to say.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Where are they now? Because now they have been embarrassed.
- 15:57Speaker 2: They were all wrong. I was 100% right. Paul Feinbaum
- 16:01Speaker 2: has now said it. Where are all of those stories? Oh,
- 16:06Speaker 2: turns out Clay Travis was 100% correct. I would just
- 16:10Speaker 2: point out everything that I told you, everything that I
- 16:14Speaker 2: said is 100% true.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Enos Cantor. Got a letter from the WNBA.
- 16:22Speaker 2: They said Enos Cantor Freedom, who was just in the
- 16:25Speaker 2: studio here with me recently, they said that he is
- 16:27Speaker 2: not eligible for the WNBA draft because he's a man. Now,
- 16:32Speaker 2: this is a letter from Kathy Engelbert that was sent
- 16:34Speaker 2: to several congresspeople. Enos Cantor Freedom posted it. What I
- 16:39Speaker 2: would ask is this. Why can the WNBA say that
- 16:44Speaker 2: Enos Cantor and Royce White are men and but they
- 16:47Speaker 2: can't say what a woman is. Why can't they just
- 16:52Speaker 2: come out and do what the WTA did, what the
- 16:55Speaker 2: NCAA did, what the International Olympic Committee did, which is
- 17:00Speaker 2: directly define what a woman is.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Say we're going to do a cheek swab in.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Your mouth, far less intrusive than every COVID test that
- 17:09Speaker 2: everybody had to do for years. One cheek swab determines
- 17:14Speaker 2: whether or not you are XX or XY.
- 17:17Speaker 1: XX is female, XY is male.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Why can the WNBA not put in place the same
- 17:24Speaker 2: policy as the WTA, same policy as the IOC, same
- 17:29Speaker 2: policy as the NCAA?
- 17:31Speaker 1: I think it's because they have.
- 17:33Speaker 2: non-XX chromosomal players playing in the league. That is, women
- 17:40Speaker 2: that cannot pass an XX test. Potentially, women that might
- 17:46Speaker 2: even be X, Y, like we saw in the Olympics
- 17:51Speaker 2: when that dude was beating the crap out of the
- 17:54Speaker 2: women and won the gold medal, like we have seen
- 17:56Speaker 2: with track where women like Castor Semenya, it turns out
- 18:01Speaker 2: are actually men from a biological perspective. I think that
- 18:06Speaker 2: some of those people are likely playing in the WNBA.
- 18:09Speaker 2: It's the only thing that makes sense to me because
- 18:12Speaker 2: otherwise they wouldn't be focused on Enos Cantor and Royce
- 18:15Speaker 2: White and saying they are men. they would say they
- 18:18Speaker 2: are not women. They didn't say that. They said they're men.
- 18:23Speaker 2: They still can't tell us what a woman is, what
- 18:27Speaker 2: is going on there.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I don't think it's coincidental.
- 18:30Speaker 2: By the way, I mentioned LeBron refusing to stand for
- 18:32Speaker 2: the national anthem a bit earlier. I don't think we
- 18:34Speaker 2: showed you the official tweet from Donald Trump here. That
- 18:38Speaker 2: is just FYI. And then later, the Team Trump team
- 18:45Speaker 2: also tweeted that LeBron James was an embarrassment for what
- 18:51Speaker 2: he was doing.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Okay, a couple of.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Other videos that are out there that I want to
- 18:56Speaker 2: make sure that I am on top of. I don't
- 19:01Speaker 2: think we've shown, did we show the week eight picks
- 19:03Speaker 2: on college football? I don't know if we showed that graphic.
- 19:05Speaker 2: It's actually, there we go. There are all the college
- 19:09Speaker 2: football picks. I don't think we popped this up. Blood
- 19:13Speaker 2: Bank guarantee this week. You can see it starred. I
- 19:16Speaker 2: think Kentucky is going to blow out Vanderbilt. And so
- 19:21Speaker 2: that is the Blood Bank guarantee. We are now five
- 19:25Speaker 2: and two on Blood Bank guarantees on the year. College
- 19:28Speaker 2: football picks admittedly started off very slow. We were not
- 19:32Speaker 2: winning very much. We now have started to win at
- 19:35Speaker 2: a very high level. So Vandy, Kentucky, we're about to
- 19:39Speaker 2: go over 500. We've nearly caught up. Those are all
- 19:43Speaker 2: of the picks taking place. By the way, I will be,
- 19:46Speaker 2: and there you can see the blood bank, I will
- 19:49Speaker 2: be sad.
- 19:51Speaker 1: On big noon.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Fox's big noon kickoff show with country music superstar luke
- 19:56Speaker 2: bryan uh saturday morning so if you are thinking to
- 20:02Speaker 2: yourself you know what i need i need way more
- 20:05Speaker 2: clay travis well you're in luck You can watch and
- 20:07Speaker 2: hang out with me on Saturday morning.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'll be with country music superstar, Luke Bryan. Okay.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I want to have some fun here. I'm going to
- 20:18Speaker 2: get to a couple more of these clips in a moment.
- 20:21Speaker 2: But all of you know that I am a newspaper junkie.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I still read newspapers. And I have a crazy article
- 20:32Speaker 2: here that I was reading this morning from the New
- 20:35Speaker 2: York Times. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has returned, aired,
- 20:42Speaker 2: I believe, this past weekend. And this woman at the
- 20:46Speaker 2: New York Times is upset that the Victoria's Secret Fashion
- 20:52Speaker 2: Show was as sexy as it was. And I read
- 20:56Speaker 2: this and I said, you know what? I got to
- 20:57Speaker 2: talk about this on the Clay Travis show. I need
- 21:00Speaker 2: to talk about this. The return of the fantasy bra.
- 21:04Speaker 2: This is the headline. and a stereotype of sexy. Stereotype
- 21:11Speaker 2: of sexy. I don't think you can stereotype sexy. It
- 21:16Speaker 2: either is or is not sexy. And before I read this,
- 21:22Speaker 2: I'm a big believer in evolutionary biology.
- 21:26Speaker 1: You know what that is? You should study it. You
- 21:28Speaker 1: should look into it.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Much of humanity makes sense if you consider it through
- 21:34Speaker 2: the prism of evolutionary biology. For instance, why do women
- 21:39Speaker 2: prefer tall men? Why do women prefer strong men? Why
- 21:44Speaker 2: do women prefer smart men? Because if you were bigger, stronger, faster,
- 21:50Speaker 2: and smarter than the average man, in caveman times, your
- 21:55Speaker 2: family was more likely to survive.
- 21:57Speaker 1: You had more food to eat. You were better protected.
- 22:01Speaker 2: And you had intelligent decision-making that was leading to your
- 22:06Speaker 2: family's chances of survival increasing.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Women.
- 22:10Speaker 2: prefer bigger, stronger, faster, taller, smarter men, not because they
- 22:16Speaker 2: are discriminating, but because from a biological imperative, all of
- 22:22Speaker 2: those male traits made female offspring and male offspring families
- 22:29Speaker 2: more likely to survive.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Okay. That explains women.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Why do men find sexy hourglass figures, voluptuous bodies attractive?
- 22:42Speaker 2: It's not a sign of the lingerie companies polluting our
- 22:48Speaker 2: minds and convincing us of things that we otherwise would
- 22:51Speaker 2: not be attracted to. It's because women with hourglass body
- 22:55Speaker 2: shapes are healthier when it comes to delivering babies. The
- 23:01Speaker 2: most dangerous thing, a young woman could do for most
- 23:05Speaker 2: of recorded human history was childbirth. The degree to which
- 23:10Speaker 2: a woman could birth children without dying herself and without
- 23:15Speaker 2: the babies dying themselves was a huge predominant factor on
- 23:21Speaker 2: whether or not babies would survive. Hence, men prefer women
- 23:27Speaker 2: with Victoria's Secret hourglass figures. Okay, biological reality. You can
- 23:31Speaker 2: go read about it. Just study evolutionary biology. Almost everything
- 23:36Speaker 2: that men like, almost everything that women like is connected
- 23:39Speaker 2: to our caveman and cavewoman days. It's all about making
- 23:44Speaker 2: it more likely that we will have more children and
- 23:47Speaker 2: that those children will survive. As would make sense, we
- 23:51Speaker 2: as humans should make decisions that prolong our lives and
- 23:55Speaker 2: make the lives of our children more likely to be successful. Okay,
- 24:01Speaker 2: here is an article from the New York Times upset
- 24:04Speaker 2: about Sexy being back. There's no getting away from the
- 24:11Speaker 2: reality that the Victoria's Secret show is perpetrating a very
- 24:17Speaker 2: specific girl playboy tradition of Sexy. One that is all
- 24:23Speaker 2: about the legs and the boobs and the bottom. It's
- 24:29Speaker 2: cloaking the promise of transgression and the trappings of the sheriff,
- 24:33Speaker 2: then putting it on display for everyone to see. Note
- 24:37Speaker 2: for Vanessa Friedman, the legs, the boobs, the bottom, they
- 24:43Speaker 2: have always been popular for men and they will always
- 24:46Speaker 2: be popular with men.
- 24:48Speaker 1: She continues.
- 24:51Speaker 2: According to the Victoria's Secret leaders, this is, quote, what
- 24:56Speaker 2: the Victoria's Secret customer wants. Victoria's Secret decided to bring
- 25:01Speaker 2: back the fantasy bra because fans were asking for it.
- 25:07Speaker 2: He said that the company's share price has surged as
- 25:11Speaker 2: they have returned to sexy, as they have brought sexy back,
- 25:17Speaker 2: as one popular singer might say.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Have one day suggested.
- 25:21Speaker 2: So maybe the whole bustier and knickers babe look is
- 25:25Speaker 2: most women's dream as it clearly was most men's. By
- 25:30Speaker 2: reverting to these old gender stereotypes, Victoria's Secret is reverting
- 25:36Speaker 2: to a time when sexy was defined by the male
- 25:40Speaker 2: gaze and catering to it. Let me pause here for
- 25:44Speaker 2: a moment. Women don't want to look at fat androgynous
- 25:48Speaker 2: chicks any more than men do. I'm not an underwear model.
- 25:54Speaker 2: If I were, the underwear company would go bankrupt. That's
- 25:58Speaker 2: because most men don't want to look like me. And
- 26:03Speaker 2: most women don't want to look like fat, unattractive women either.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Which is why the whole androgynous, everybody shape advertising campaign failed.
- 26:16Speaker 2: People aspire to be better versions of themselves, not themselves.
- 26:23Speaker 2: People aspire to achieve things that are more pleasing to
- 26:28Speaker 2: the eye, not less pleasing. This is not a stereotype.
- 26:32Speaker 2: This is basic human biology. The company may have changed
- 26:36Speaker 2: its stock market ticker listing to very sexy and in
- 26:40Speaker 2: June to reflect its new mention, but there's nothing particularly
- 26:44Speaker 2: new about this idea.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yeah, sexy always works. Sex always sells.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Maybe this is about a nostalgia for a time when
- 26:55Speaker 2: we could pretend this way of presenting women was just
- 26:59Speaker 2: lighthearted fun and didn't contribute directly to a culture that
- 27:03Speaker 2: enabled their objectification and depersonalization to even though we know
- 27:09Speaker 2: such a time is as much a fantasy as the
- 27:12Speaker 2: fantasy bra. Watching the Victoria's Secret fashion show after the
- 27:17Speaker 2: national conversation prompted by the crisis at Cornell is a
- 27:23Speaker 2: bit like entering the Twilight Zone.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I mean, what in the world?
- 27:29Speaker 2: Though it does go with another national conversation, one in
- 27:33Speaker 2: which men are men and women are women, and you
- 27:36Speaker 2: can tell by how they dress. Yes, that is in
- 27:39Speaker 2: fact how the world exists. Trying to tie it into Cornell,
- 27:46Speaker 2: this is absolutely insane. But again, welcome to the New
- 27:50Speaker 2: York Times. I take it as a strong cultural signifier
- 27:53Speaker 2: that we are now moving back in the direction of
- 27:56Speaker 2: women can be good looking, and it's okay to admit
- 28:02Speaker 2: that people want to look like better versions of themselves
- 28:06Speaker 2: not like worse versions of themselves.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Okay, this is a fun story.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Neyland Stadium on Saturday, when Tennessee obliterated Alabama, was, according
- 28:19Speaker 2: to some measures, the loudest that any stadium has ever
- 28:22Speaker 2: been in the history of sports. And as part of
- 28:27Speaker 2: that loudest stadium that any have been in the history
- 28:30Speaker 2: of sports, there is a report that a lawyer has
- 28:35Speaker 2: requested government involvement because people's hearing may be impacted by
- 28:41Speaker 2: how loud the stadium was at Neyland.
- 28:45Speaker 1: This is, by the way, a great advertisement.
- 28:49Speaker 2: University of Tennessee warning, your hearing may be impacted by
- 28:54Speaker 2: how awesome our football team is. Doesn't seem like a
- 28:58Speaker 2: bad sales pitch. I think that lawyer is going to
- 29:01Speaker 2: have a difficult time in paneling a jury that is
- 29:04Speaker 2: going to vote in his favor anywhere in East Tennessee
- 29:07Speaker 2: or the SEC for that matter. Maybe that argument works
- 29:12Speaker 2: in Boston. Maybe it works in New York City. That
- 29:15Speaker 2: dog ain't hunting in SEC land. A couple of other
- 29:20Speaker 2: things that are out there. We were just talking about
- 29:22Speaker 2: Victoria's Secret. Perfect 10 mortgage. Perfect10mortgage. com. You give them five,
- 29:29Speaker 2: you give them, sorry, 10 minutes. And in 10 days

- 29:40Speaker 1: Mortgage. Thank you.
- 29:41Speaker 2: This is a mortgage company that shares your values. Customers
- 29:45Speaker 2: are giving phenomenal feedback. I'm going to read a couple
- 29:48Speaker 2: of customers here in the weeks and months ahead that
- 29:51Speaker 2: ask that their testimonials be shared with all of you.
- 29:55Speaker 2: But perfect10mortgage. com, Perfect 10, like many of the women that
- 30:00Speaker 2: are walking the runway at Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, perfect10mortgage. com.
- 30:07Speaker 2: That is perfect10mortgage. com. Give them 10 minutes, and in 10
- 30:12Speaker 2: days or less, they can have a brand new mortgage
- 30:15Speaker 2: for all of you.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Positive story out there.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Oil is now coming out of the Persian Gulf, according
- 30:22Speaker 2: to the Wall Street Journal front page today, at a
- 30:25Speaker 2: higher rate than it did before the war in Iran started.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Our blockade is now so successful in the Middle East
- 30:34Speaker 2: that Iran has no more oil to sell than Their
- 30:37Speaker 2: economy is collapsing. And we now are bringing more oil
- 30:41Speaker 2: and gas out of the Middle East than we did even.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Before this war actually started.
- 30:48Speaker 2: That seems like kind of a significant aspect, if nothing
- 30:53Speaker 2: else out there.
- 30:56Speaker 1: I saw this.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Story and I thought it was very funny. You should
- 30:59Speaker 2: not do this. But I do wonder what the state
- 31:03Speaker 2: of the game when it happened was. Maybe this guy
- 31:05Speaker 2: is the male version of Lindsey Clancy. A man in
- 31:08Speaker 2: Virginia has been arrested after he allegedly duct taped his
- 31:14Speaker 2: wife to a chair so that he could watch the
- 31:17Speaker 2: rest of a football game.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Now, here is this guy who did this.
- 31:23Speaker 2: And again, do not duct tape your wife to a chair.
- 31:29Speaker 2: so that you can watch a football game without being bothered.
- 31:34Speaker 2: But I'm not sure this guy's going to get convicted
- 31:38Speaker 2: because while I don't know his particular situation, I will
- 31:43Speaker 2: say it seems to me to be a trait of women.
- 31:47Speaker 2: that they manage to ask for you to do something
- 31:50Speaker 2: at the exact most important moment of whichever game you
- 31:54Speaker 2: are watching. I don't know if they instruct women in
- 31:57Speaker 2: this at birth and they refine the skill throughout life.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I do know that every time there is a fourth
- 32:04Speaker 2: and one in a game that will be decided by
- 32:06Speaker 2: that play, that is the exact moment that your wife
- 32:09Speaker 2: decides that she needs you to take out the garbage
- 32:12Speaker 2: or needs you to help carry something in a house
- 32:16Speaker 2: to relocate a piece of furniture that looks no different
- 32:20Speaker 2: in the new location than it did in the location before,
- 32:23Speaker 2: but that your wife has decided needs to be moved.
- 32:27Speaker 2: I don't know how they teach it. I don't know
- 32:29Speaker 2: how they know it. It must be feminine intuition. Every
- 32:33Speaker 2: moment when the biggest game at the biggest moment is
- 32:36Speaker 2: taking place is when your wife must have you immediately
- 32:40Speaker 2: post-haste act to do something that is not that important,
- 32:44Speaker 2: but she has decided must be done at this instant.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Maybe that was the event that precipitated this action in Virginia.
- 32:53Speaker 2: And it is one that I do think a jury
- 32:56Speaker 2: might be willing to pass on.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Let me see.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Can you text me that story so I can make sure?
- 33:04Speaker 2: I know it's up on the screen right now, but
- 33:07Speaker 2: I saw this here.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I found it.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Here is, if you can't read that, a man in
- 33:11Speaker 2: Virginia has been charged with duct taping his wife to
- 33:14Speaker 2: a chair in the basement so he could watch football upstairs, quote,
- 33:19Speaker 2: in peace. The 64-year-old now faces felony abduction and misdemeanor
- 33:23Speaker 2: assault charges. And again, depending on the jury, I think
- 33:29Speaker 2: he may have a chance with the men. This may
- 33:31Speaker 2: be our Lindsey Clancy of men.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Also, look, the Titans are an utter disgrace to football.
- 33:44Speaker 2: It's so bad that they won a game, finally. And
- 33:48Speaker 2: when they won the game, the team they were playing against,
- 33:51Speaker 2: the Indianapolis Colts.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Immediately fired the GM. for giving up a 13-point lead
- 33:57Speaker 1: or whatever the hell it was.
- 33:59Speaker 2: The Colts lost to the Titans at home, and they said,
- 34:02Speaker 2: this is so unacceptable, we have to immediately fire the
- 34:06Speaker 2: GM of our franchise who has been there for like
- 34:09Speaker 2: a decade.
- 34:10Speaker 1: That's how bad things are.
- 34:12Speaker 2: It is also not good that a player for the
- 34:17Speaker 2: Tennessee Titans who had.
- 34:19Speaker 1: A two-year, $ 8.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Million contract, here he is, his name is Jordan Elliott,
- 34:26Speaker 2: He got into a dispute with one of the offensive
- 34:30Speaker 2: linemen at a practice, was so angry about that dispute.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Chance, was it Chance Womack?
- 34:39Speaker 2: I can't remember who the guy, all the players' names
- 34:42Speaker 2: kind of run together for me. I'm not sure which
- 34:45Speaker 2: Titans player it was, but he was angry. with one
- 34:49Speaker 2: of the Titans' offensive linemen. I'm not even sure Chance
- 34:52Speaker 2: Womack's still on the team. Chance Womack was another guy
- 34:55Speaker 2: from Alabama, I think, who was on the team.
- 34:57Speaker 1: J.C.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Latham.
- 34:58Speaker 2: I think Chance Womack and J.C. Latham are both offensive
- 35:01Speaker 2: linemen the Titans have had.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I'm getting old. They all run together.
- 35:04Speaker 5: J.C.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Latham.
- 35:05Speaker 4: All right.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Gets into a dispute with J.C. Latham.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Goes out to his car to get a gun so
- 35:14Speaker 2: that he can shoot J.C.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Latham.
- 35:17Speaker 2: This is how bad the Titans are now, okay? First
- 35:21Speaker 2: of all, you're not supposed to bring guns to the
- 35:24Speaker 2: football complexes. His gun was in his car. This reminds
- 35:29Speaker 2: me of the scene in White Men Can't Jump. For
- 35:31Speaker 2: those of you who remember that movie, when one of
- 35:34Speaker 2: the basketball players gets angry with what happened, and says
- 35:38Speaker 2: he's going to go get his gun, and everybody starts
- 35:41Speaker 2: running from the basketball court. If you remember that scene
- 35:44Speaker 2: in White Men Can't Jump, I can only presume that
- 35:47Speaker 2: was the situation for the Titans as well. Now, Robert
- 35:51Speaker 2: Sala came out and said, we all have bad moments.
- 35:55Speaker 2: He's got some mental health issues, and somebody else should
- 35:59Speaker 2: sign him.
- 36:00Speaker 1: He had a two-year, $ 8 million deal, all right?
- 36:04Speaker 2: I appreciate the fact that his coach tried to defend him,
- 36:08Speaker 2: If you go to get a gun because you're unhappy
- 36:12Speaker 2: about what might have happened in practice, then you shouldn't
- 36:17Speaker 2: be playing anywhere in the NFL. You should not be
- 36:21Speaker 2: in the NFL. Surely the NFL is going to reach out.
- 36:24Speaker 2: I don't even know how this was not a criminal investigation.
- 36:28Speaker 2: If he tried to go get a gun to potentially
- 36:31Speaker 2: shoot a teammate, Thank the Lord it didn't happen. But
- 36:35Speaker 2: how is this not a crime? And how in the
- 36:37Speaker 2: world would this guy be eligible to play anywhere? That
- 36:42Speaker 2: feels to me absolutely insane. But here is Robert Sala
- 36:47Speaker 2: talking exactly about that incident.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Escalating for him?
- 36:52Speaker 2: No.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Here's what I'll say, guys. I'm going to go off
- 36:57Speaker 3: on a tangent. Or not on a tangent, but first
- 37:00Speaker 3: I want to say, like, I think the organization and
- 37:04Speaker 3: the NFL did an outstanding job with regards to pausing,
- 37:08Speaker 3: which I think everyone needs to do in this situation,
- 37:10Speaker 3: is pause with regards to the news that Jordan had
- 37:14Speaker 3: a gun. And the reason why I think the NFL
- 37:18Speaker 3: and the organization did an outstanding job is because this
- 37:21Speaker 3: is a man who is a father. A great husband.
- 37:25Speaker 3: He's never committed a crime in his entire life. And
- 37:28Speaker 3: he pulled a gun in the parking lot. And the
- 37:32Speaker 3: first question that I think everyone forgets to ask is
- 37:35Speaker 3: why would a great man, a great father, a man
- 37:39Speaker 3: who shows up on time every day, works his ass
- 37:42Speaker 3: off every day, contributes the way he's supposed to contribute,
- 37:46Speaker 3: is well-liked in the locker room, why did he go
- 37:49Speaker 3: off the rails and grab a gun? And to me,
- 37:54Speaker 3: those are small signs of a cry of help in
- 37:58Speaker 3: terms of obviously there's something greater happening. And I thought
- 38:02Speaker 3: the team in the NFL did an outstanding job with
- 38:04Speaker 3: regards to pausing and asking those questions and checking every
- 38:07Speaker 3: single box with regards to giving him the help that
- 38:09Speaker 3: he needs. In the last year, the NFL has lost
- 38:13Speaker 3: two outstanding young men to taking their own lives because
- 38:16Speaker 3: they may have had help. They may have been crying
- 38:18Speaker 3: for help, and everyone ignored it. And I'm not saying
- 38:23Speaker 3: that's where he was. I'm not going to speak on that.
- 38:25Speaker 3: But these kids go through a lot, a lot. And
- 38:30Speaker 3: like I said, I thought I will stand on the
- 38:34Speaker 3: table for Jordan's character. Unfortunately, rules are rules with regards
- 38:39Speaker 3: to guns on property. And sometimes it's far greater than
- 38:44Speaker 3: the knee-jerk reaction of kicking somebody and kicking somebody when
- 38:47Speaker 3: they're down. My message to 31 other teams would be
- 38:50Speaker 3: if you need a hell of a run-stopping D-tackle that
- 38:52Speaker 3: can help you on a playoff run, give me a call.
- 38:55Speaker 3: I'll tell you everything you need to know about him.
- 38:57Speaker 3: He's a good man. Had a terrible lapse in judgment
- 39:03Speaker 3: that I recognize as a call for help more than
- 39:05Speaker 3: a criminal act. And it's unfortunate the way it went down.
- 39:09Speaker 3: But But as far as Jordan's concerned and the locker
- 39:16Speaker 3: room and all that, I think the locker room and Jordan,
- 39:20Speaker 3: I think people see it differently here than the knee-jerk
- 39:23Speaker 3: reaction of the world.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Okay, look, I don't know how that guy ever plays
- 39:31Speaker 2: in the NFL again. I wouldn't be comfortable with him
- 39:33Speaker 2: in my locker room. A couple of final things here
- 39:36Speaker 2: on the Thursday edition of the program. The ratings came
- 39:40Speaker 2: out for how many people watched all of the college football.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Games, and I was right, as I'm almost always right.
- 39:48Speaker 2: If they had not put three SEC games head-to-head.
- 39:52Speaker 1: At 3.30 Eastern and.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Two SEC games head-to-head at noon Eastern, the most watched
- 39:58Speaker 2: game of the weekend on ABC ESPN would have been
- 40:03Speaker 2: the Alabama-Tennessee game. Instead, they made all the SEC games
- 40:07Speaker 2: compete against each other. And BYU-Notre Dame out in Provo,
- 40:11Speaker 2: congratulations to BYU, ended up a bit more popular than
- 40:15Speaker 2: the Alabama-Tennessee game. But as I said, would be the
- 40:19Speaker 2: case when you clear the deck so there is no
- 40:22Speaker 2: major SEC competition on any of the major broadcast networks
- 40:26Speaker 2: and you make them all compete with each other, you
- 40:29Speaker 2: drive down the number of SEC viewers and you drive
- 40:33Speaker 2: up the viewers for much less competitive games in the
- 40:37Speaker 2: evening in terms of not having to worry about other
- 40:41Speaker 2: games competing with the ones in primetime. Yet again, your
- 40:46Speaker 2: boy was right. And I want to close with this
- 40:51Speaker 2: little bit of new. Two things that I think are positive.
- 40:54Speaker 2: You guys know that I have a Tesla. It's really cool.
- 40:57Speaker 2: They have a Halloween version of the Tesla that is
- 41:00Speaker 2: going on right now.
- 41:01Speaker 1: It will growl.
- 41:03Speaker 2: It will make your car look like a ghost. I'm
- 41:07Speaker 2: just saying, trust me on this. My youngest son thinks
- 41:11Speaker 2: this is awesome, and so does his dad. Finally, we
- 41:15Speaker 2: had Byron Donalds on today on Clay and Buck. We'll
- 41:18Speaker 2: play that clip for you tomorrow. He was at the
- 41:21Speaker 2: FSU-Miami game, and he says Florida State got screwed on
- 41:24Speaker 2: that holding call.
- 41:26Speaker 1: But I want all of you to know this. Go vote.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Go vote. Go vote.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I have already voted in the midterm elections. Over 18
- 41:36Speaker 2: million of you.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Have also voted.
- 41:39Speaker 2: The data right now on early voting is that the
- 41:42Speaker 2: Democrat-Republican share of early voting is nearly identical. Right now,
- 41:49Speaker 2: 2026 to 2022, I think there's going to be a
- 41:51Speaker 2: lot of super competitive races out there. Make sure that
- 41:55Speaker 2: your voice is heard. Join me and go vote yourself,
- 42:00Speaker 2: no matter where you may live across the country. DBAP,
- 42:03Speaker 2: unless you need to SBAP, Animal Thunderdome tomorrow. If you
- 42:06Speaker 2: haven't already, please go click like and subscribe. To me,
- 42:09Speaker 2: across every possible social media channel you can imagine, we're
- 42:13Speaker 2: on TikTok, we're on YouTube, and I'm going to dive in,
- 42:16Speaker 2: I promise, and start to respond to some of the
- 42:19Speaker 2: comments that we are getting on YouTube as hundreds of
