- 1:24Speaker 7: Here on a Friday. How are we doing? Are we living?
- 1:27Speaker 7: I'm very good strong. That was a lie. I'm pretty tired.
- 1:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I gotta be honest with you, gotta be honest
- 1:37Speaker 6: with the wolf Pack here.
- 1:39Speaker 7: Our listeners are loyal listeners, and I'm.
- 1:42Speaker 6: A little sleepy. Hadn't slept the best this week? Do
- 1:45Speaker 6: you know what doesn't really matter? Because they too late, Bud, Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 6: staying up a little late, but like just a little
- 1:52Speaker 6: bit of like tossing and turning this week. I don't
- 1:54Speaker 6: know what's going on, but no excuses play like a champion.
- 1:57Speaker 6: I'm gonna overcome it with an old.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Toughness and, as Harball says, an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.
- 2:07Speaker 7: Yeah. Yeah, that's a pretty good one. I guess.
- 2:10Speaker 6: I got it written down in our house, little motivation
- 2:15Speaker 6: for our children. But I'm gonna use it today. It's
- 2:17Speaker 6: your mind strong enough to override the pain. So we're
- 2:20Speaker 6: gonna do that.
- 2:21Speaker 7: It's your mind strong enough to override the pain. I
- 2:27Speaker 7: don't hate it.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I got written down on a piece of paper. Probably
- 2:32Speaker 6: gonna get a printed on a shirt. Maybe try to
- 2:36Speaker 6: sell it to a T shirt company, so we'll see that.
- 2:40Speaker 7: Which coach said that? No, I said that. I don't know.
- 2:44Speaker 5: I don't know that sayings like that really sell anymore.
- 2:48Speaker 5: This isn't the no fear error. Oh that's a good point. Yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 5: that's a good point. Everybody's a winner.
- 2:57Speaker 7: No, Oh, you don't know it's gonna sell.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Okay, that's fine, Like my dad's all saying, would have
- 3:07Speaker 5: been great for the no fear area. If you're scared
- 3:09Speaker 5: of competition, changed your last name, that'd have been great,
- 3:13Speaker 5: okay for competition, Like yeah, because you know, because I
- 3:17Speaker 5: don't want you.
- 3:18Speaker 7: Know exactly exactly what he meant.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Sure, but it have to be like if you put
- 3:25Speaker 6: it on a T shirt like in that era, it's
- 3:27Speaker 6: gotta be a little bit blurry, a sight for sore
- 3:30Speaker 6: eyes like.
- 3:34Speaker 7: Age. You don't know what we're talking about. You you're
- 3:36Speaker 7: too young, too young for us?
- 3:40Speaker 5: Uh ta, Paulie. Do y'all remember no Fear shirts? Actually
- 3:44Speaker 5: you're from LP you absolutely yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 8: They had the uh the truck like backglass stickers as
- 3:50Speaker 8: well of the no fear Yeah familiar Paul's Paul's LP adjacent. Okay, central,
- 3:57Speaker 8: he's central that we we count it. He didn't count it.
- 4:00Speaker 8: We do give me.
- 4:01Speaker 7: One more, you know, claim us, we claim give me.
- 4:04Speaker 6: One more shirt brand That was like right there, neck
- 4:07Speaker 6: and neck side by side with no Fear.
- 4:11Speaker 9: Same time. I don't know now, so growing up.
- 4:14Speaker 7: I think I know where you're going.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Okay, there's only one thing. I think there's only one
- 4:19Speaker 6: other one and one Massimo mm hmm.
- 4:25Speaker 7: Yeah. Think about it, like, what a dumb name they're
- 4:29Speaker 7: gonna go and one because they kind of had a
- 4:31Speaker 7: little bit of a one was a little bit after that.
- 4:33Speaker 6: I believe it's what a dumb name but awesome at
- 4:37Speaker 6: the same time.
- 4:39Speaker 7: A tide for civil eyes. That's good, good clean fun. Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 6: And one was a little bit after that because I
- 4:50Speaker 6: want to say that for us Jake, not for a tail,
- 4:54Speaker 6: because you were like, you know, maybe not even born.
- 4:59Speaker 7: No fear awesome OD.
- 5:00Speaker 6: That was like fourth fifth grade and one was starting
- 5:03Speaker 6: to get into like seventh seventh, eighth grade a little bit.
- 5:10Speaker 7: Both elite, Yeah, absolutely elite.
- 5:12Speaker 9: So somebody, somebody in the chad put a good LP
- 5:15Speaker 9: one in. They're they're right.
- 5:16Speaker 8: When UFC became really popular, tap Out tap tap Out
- 5:20Speaker 8: shirts were elite LP shirt.
- 5:22Speaker 7: Yeah, shut out, shut Out.
- 5:23Speaker 8: Piercely, I forgot about tap out.
- 5:25Speaker 6: I tap out, My god, great call. That was such
- 5:29Speaker 6: an aggressive shirt brand. Yeah, perfect for the LP. That's
- 5:34Speaker 6: kind of the point. Made you want a fat Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Then like Energy Drinks kind of had their their hat
- 5:44Speaker 5: run during that same time.
- 5:47Speaker 7: At East time I tap.
- 5:47Speaker 8: Out, we had a Fox hats Fox and Hurley Fox
- 5:51Speaker 8: and those were big.
- 5:54Speaker 9: Famous. Famous was another one that was not quite as
- 5:57Speaker 9: big as Fun. That was a little bit later.
- 5:59Speaker 6: I don't remember Famous. You always kind of knew it
- 6:03Speaker 6: kind of night it was gonna be when you went out.
- 6:04Speaker 7: And you saw a bunch of tap out shirts. At
- 6:08Speaker 7: the bar or they come.
- 6:11Speaker 9: Any other color. I always just remember black shirt, white lego.
- 6:14Speaker 6: Either either the TapouT shirts or the black wife beaters. Yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 6: that was like, oh man, they wore their nice clothes out.
- 6:23Speaker 10: Jeez.
- 6:25Speaker 7: I can tell you this.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Having a friend that was like a actual real UFC
- 6:31Speaker 5: fighter and Sean Jordan. If I saw a group of
- 6:36Speaker 5: bros wearing tap out, I knew Sean was going to
- 6:40Speaker 5: go ask them about their tap out shirts and he
- 6:42Speaker 5: could actually tap them out. And I was like, oh, no,
- 6:46Speaker 5: sick shirt, bro, Sean's gonna end up beating up all
- 6:49Speaker 5: four you.
- 6:50Speaker 7: About that business. He was hoping they say yes.
- 6:54Speaker 6: Like you know, most people when they get in like
- 6:56Speaker 6: a bar fight situation, they see cauliflower air.
- 6:58Speaker 7: And they're like, oh oh man. John would see him
- 7:02Speaker 7: be like, yes, competition, I need some practice, don't fight guys.
- 7:12Speaker 9: Did he have the did he have the calif ear
- 7:15Speaker 9: like while still playing?
- 7:16Speaker 7: Uh yeah, I didn't have a little bit.
- 7:19Speaker 8: I mean I know, probably more so after he was
- 7:21Speaker 8: done and put into fighting full time.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember he had. I remember him talking about
- 7:26Speaker 5: getting a drained sounds fun.
- 7:28Speaker 7: Yeah, it's like that needle in my ear.
- 7:34Speaker 11: Hmm.
- 7:35Speaker 7: It's kind of weird, right, why does it do that?
- 7:36Speaker 7: Why's that you do that? It's almost like.
- 7:41Speaker 5: If you're like a wrestler or fighter list it's almost
- 7:44Speaker 5: kind of I mean, like a mage of honor feels
- 7:45Speaker 5: like yeah, yeah, I guess it still doesn't look good.
- 7:49Speaker 7: It look good.
- 7:50Speaker 8: It's pretty much all cart right. Yeah, it's getting your
- 7:53Speaker 8: knee drained. I guess, yeah, I guess so.
- 7:55Speaker 9: I mean there's a bone.
- 7:57Speaker 5: So that's not fun when you say, like, I have
- 8:00Speaker 5: my knee drain. Plenty of times, it's not.
- 8:03Speaker 7: The worst thing, Like, yeah, you weren't celebrated.
- 8:08Speaker 8: There's also a lot more sensitive of an area too,
- 8:10Speaker 8: like he was probably worse.
- 8:13Speaker 7: But if you beat your ear up a lot, is
- 8:14Speaker 7: it is it as sensitive? Probably not.
- 8:17Speaker 6: We don't know what we're talking about. We're lovers, we're
- 8:20Speaker 6: not fighters over here.
- 8:20Speaker 7: How where's Doc when you need him? Seriously? Write that down?
- 8:25Speaker 5: And when I say write that down, I mean Taylor,
- 8:27Speaker 5: remember because Flynn and I will not sure, we'll ask
- 8:30Speaker 5: them about a cauliflower.
- 8:33Speaker 7: Perfect. I love that, and he'll be ready to go.
- 8:35Speaker 7: I love an answer for us. I just don't understand
- 8:38Speaker 7: why does fluid get in there?
- 8:39Speaker 6: Like if you if you told me that it gets
- 8:41Speaker 6: beat up so much that there's like scar tissue and
- 8:43Speaker 6: it's like hardened and whatever. But if you get a drain,
- 8:47Speaker 6: it's fluid. Where's it coming from? Bodies, buddy, body is
- 8:54Speaker 6: a crazy thing. My brother's a doctor, so I pretty
- 8:56Speaker 6: much know.
- 8:56Speaker 5: I was about to say, you're the closest thing we
- 8:59Speaker 5: got to a doctor here, Amy.
- 9:01Speaker 7: That's right.
- 9:02Speaker 6: I'm pretty much our in house attorney and doctor. My
- 9:06Speaker 6: father's an attorney.
- 9:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 5: My my mom was a nurse, so doctor A Jason. Obviously,
- 9:16Speaker 5: my dad's a policeman. So if there's any law questions,
- 9:19Speaker 5: got you guy. Taylor also has a father in law enforcement,
- 9:24Speaker 5: So we've got you covered.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Come around here, tap you out, and then citizen arrests you.
- 9:35Speaker 7: Heyday, how we do it on Baby Watch? Brother? I
- 9:38Speaker 7: mean we So when's the actual dude?
- 9:41Speaker 9: So the the due date is July fifteenth.
- 9:44Speaker 7: Oh my, but.
- 9:48Speaker 8: I don't know if you're in the room we were
- 9:49Speaker 8: talking about it was it was before the show. A
- 9:50Speaker 8: couple of days ago. We had our like last official
- 9:53Speaker 8: appointment on Tuesday.
- 9:56Speaker 9: They were like, hey, little God, I don't want to
- 9:58Speaker 9: come out.
- 9:59Speaker 8: Yeah, maybe possibly prepare for an induction on the twenty second,
- 10:03Speaker 8: So if she hasn't had him by the twenty second,
- 10:05Speaker 8: she will be induced two am on the twenty second.
- 10:10Speaker 9: So that that's just that's where we're at, all right.
- 10:13Speaker 11: It's just.
- 10:15Speaker 7: You know, they.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Seconds that's a week after. I know, yeah, let's move
- 10:19Speaker 6: that thing up a week.
- 10:21Speaker 9: That's just that's the furthest they let her go, they
- 10:23Speaker 9: were like, we're scheduled a week after.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Do not say you free Friday, That's what I told.
- 10:28Speaker 9: I told her last night.
- 10:28Speaker 7: I was like, yeah, like the fifteenth in five days,
- 10:32Speaker 7: not in twelve.
- 10:33Speaker 8: So it told her last week. I mean last night,
- 10:35Speaker 8: I'm like, like, tomorrow's Friday, Like I'm coming ready now,
- 10:39Speaker 8: Like we just just could do this thing. Like I
- 10:42Speaker 8: think we're good at this point. I think you should selfishly,
- 10:46Speaker 8: I think you should see get back. Well Jack's gone. Yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 8: I mean that would put me back right after media
- 10:54Speaker 8: days if we hit it today.
- 10:56Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm happy for you, but yeah, also and needs
- 11:00Speaker 7: you back. And also you know.
- 11:01Speaker 9: I took I'm not gonna be held a home.
- 11:04Speaker 5: I took half a show before I came back after Harlow.
- 11:07Speaker 5: So I mean, tell me why I hit a walk
- 11:10Speaker 5: off home run the College World Series.
- 11:12Speaker 6: So that's true, but it wasn't your first though. First
- 11:16Speaker 6: I had a couple.
- 11:17Speaker 7: We dabbled.
- 11:18Speaker 9: Were It's different for y'all because you were playing.
- 11:21Speaker 6: Like yea, when I was playing with Jackson, we had
- 11:25Speaker 6: him on a Thursday, Thursday before a Sunday night game.
- 11:29Speaker 7: Right, there's really no such thing her paternity leave and.
- 11:34Speaker 6: Oh god, no, there's how you can miss this period
- 11:37Speaker 6: of this practice leave.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Yeah, there's nothing like two thousand, twenty eleven.
- 11:45Speaker 6: I think we played on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and
- 11:48Speaker 6: New Year's Day.
- 11:49Speaker 7: Cool. Yeah, it wasn't.
- 11:51Speaker 5: I hated playing on Christmas. We did it twice too,
- 11:55Speaker 5: and it was both. It was away bow times one
- 11:56Speaker 5: in Cincinnati, one in uh Nashville.
- 12:01Speaker 6: I remember when we got done playing, we had to
- 12:03Speaker 6: get like and then our kids started to getting into school.
- 12:06Speaker 7: You know.
- 12:07Speaker 6: Lacey's like, hey, what do you want to do this weekend?
- 12:09Speaker 6: And like, what are you talking about? Well, it's holiday?
- 12:11Speaker 6: Like what's holiday? It's Labor Day? Like what what does
- 12:16Speaker 6: that mean?
- 12:17Speaker 7: Like day?
- 12:19Speaker 6: People take this day off I know for what reason?
- 12:22Speaker 6: We just got done with summer. Yeah, then it's like, oh,
- 12:26Speaker 6: there's like people really take off for all these days,
- 12:29Speaker 6: I've never had them from like my entire life, I
- 12:31Speaker 6: know anything in the fall.
- 12:33Speaker 5: Wow, I mean honestly, like even day. I'm going back
- 12:37Speaker 5: to my eighth grade year.
- 12:39Speaker 6: If you weren't practicing football and Thanksgiving, something was wrong
- 12:43Speaker 6: because you're supposed to be in the playoffs. You're supposed
- 12:46Speaker 6: to be practicing. So we always practice on Thanksgiving. And
- 12:49Speaker 6: then when I got here, we played Arkansas the day
- 12:51Speaker 6: after Thanksgiving, so we had to walk through on that Thursday,
- 12:55Speaker 6: unless or Nick whoever was a coach, would make us
- 12:58Speaker 6: eat team meal on Thursday right for Thanksgiving. Yep, we
- 13:01Speaker 6: go to that little place, one spot on campus. Couldn't
- 13:05Speaker 6: get there. I couldn't. Well, I could get there, I
- 13:08Speaker 6: can go, I can find it. This random little cafeteria. Yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 6: I had some nice, nice little sun light in it,
- 13:16Speaker 6: though nice windows.
- 13:19Speaker 7: I couldn't get you there. Been there many times for
- 13:22Speaker 7: Thanksgiving Meal. I could not get you there.
- 13:26Speaker 5: How you doing, buddy? The Christmas it was bull time?
- 13:28Speaker 5: So yeah, Oh do you remember the one time we
- 13:31Speaker 5: spent Christmas Day in the Batani's airport for seven hours?
- 13:36Speaker 6: No, I don't because I wasn't there. I traveled from
- 13:38Speaker 6: home that was to the Peach Bowl. Oh you didn't
- 13:41Speaker 6: go with us all? Did you go from Tyler because
- 13:45Speaker 6: we got like the week off and they paid for it.
- 13:47Speaker 7: Yeah, they paid for you. They would pay for your
- 13:48Speaker 7: travel if you for wherever you're going. I don't know. Oh,
- 13:51Speaker 7: so you didn't get to spend seven hours in the
- 13:52Speaker 7: batteries air No, it wasn't. It didn't. The plane like
- 13:55Speaker 7: run up run off.
- 13:57Speaker 6: They ran off of the run way into the grass
- 14:01Speaker 6: and got the plane stuck.
- 14:02Speaker 7: Hey cut the little.
- 14:03Speaker 6: Too, Yeah, and so we had to wait for another
- 14:06Speaker 6: It was Christmas, So you didn't tell them the rocket
- 14:09Speaker 6: wasn't rock that, Like, hey, we not have somebodey with
- 14:12Speaker 6: a four by four. Yeah, seriously, we can get this
- 14:15Speaker 6: would have gotten that sun gun out? Yeah, we got
- 14:18Speaker 6: half rednecks in this plane, Like, we can get this
- 14:20Speaker 6: thing out.
- 14:21Speaker 7: Give us some two by fours.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Yes, they didn't let us weird. Yeah that was fun Christmas.
- 14:28Speaker 7: Yeah, No, I've heard about that.
- 14:29Speaker 6: I was just chilling in Atlanta, White word, where do
- 14:31Speaker 6: you guys at? I was in the bowl game room,
- 14:35Speaker 6: just by myself in the hospitality hospitality, ready to play
- 14:39Speaker 6: ping pong.
- 14:39Speaker 7: Didn't have you like play against I put the other
- 14:43Speaker 7: the side. I put it up that was the worst
- 14:47Speaker 7: Christmas of all time. That was on Christmas Day, Christmas Day, Bass, Yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 6: That was that is right, because most Christmas Day was
- 14:55Speaker 6: usually travel day because we played on the first thirty
- 14:58Speaker 6: first or first. Yeah, and you have to be there
- 15:00Speaker 6: all week, so that's fun.
- 15:04Speaker 7: Anyway, too many holidays out there, too many.
- 15:10Speaker 6: You can take one major holloway away holiday away. I
- 15:15Speaker 6: think one major, one major one away. You gotta take
- 15:17Speaker 6: one away. I don't know what we're considering major. I
- 15:23Speaker 6: guess if you get off work for it. We're keeping
- 15:30Speaker 6: keeping Christmas, We're keeping Eastern Yeah, thanksgivings good. Okay, what's
- 15:40Speaker 6: another major one outside of those?
- 15:42Speaker 7: Fourth of July? For sure? Sure not me not taking
- 15:46Speaker 7: that away. Listen to Taylor.
- 15:48Speaker 9: I think the answer is Labor day because we never
- 15:50Speaker 9: get off anyways.
- 15:51Speaker 7: Well, yeah, that's what I was wanting.
- 15:52Speaker 6: I definitely Labor Day also, like banks get off. You know,
- 16:00Speaker 6: I don't want to say a bank holiday, bank out
- 16:03Speaker 6: bankers hours here that.
- 16:04Speaker 8: I don't want to take away Easter and Christmas for
- 16:06Speaker 8: religious pervises. You don't want to take away Memorial Day
- 16:09Speaker 8: and fourth of July. Like what does Labor Day actually
- 16:12Speaker 8: celebrate labor?
- 16:13Speaker 7: It's for labor.
- 16:16Speaker 8: Right, like everybody everybody works, that one. That one seems
- 16:18Speaker 8: like the least important. I guess celebration.
- 16:21Speaker 6: Wise, Well, you know, everybody in the workforce is very important.
- 16:28Speaker 6: I feel about Valentine's Day. I don't really cares that
- 16:31Speaker 6: fall I mean is that you don't get off work
- 16:33Speaker 6: for enough work.
- 16:34Speaker 7: But it's major. No, I don't like it.
- 16:37Speaker 9: Victoria loves that. I don't care for it. Really, your
- 16:40Speaker 9: Tory loves Valentine's.
- 16:42Speaker 6: See Kay's birthdays the week after, so I don't have to.
- 16:45Speaker 6: We don't really do anything.
- 16:47Speaker 7: We don't.
- 16:47Speaker 6: We don't. That's either we don't do anything. We think
- 16:50Speaker 6: it's time.
- 16:51Speaker 7: We think it's a maized bros. Just a money grab. See,
- 16:59Speaker 7: I'll love Halloween. You know a lot people don't. Halloween's
- 17:01Speaker 7: my thing.
- 17:01Speaker 9: Like I love Halloween.
- 17:02Speaker 7: I love I love Halloween.
- 17:05Speaker 9: Not getting rid of them, like gettingrid of Halloween.
- 17:07Speaker 6: It's during the best month of the year, So yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 6: we love Halloween. October is the best month of the year.
- 17:11Speaker 9: Yeah, do too.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Well. The weather is turning, the leaves are turning. There's
- 17:19Speaker 7: just a crispness to the air. You go.
- 17:21Speaker 6: You walk outside, and there's an energy that that's not
- 17:23Speaker 6: around for like four or five months in the summer.
- 17:26Speaker 6: There's no energy outside, there's no juice outside right now.
- 17:28Speaker 7: That was so awful.
- 17:29Speaker 6: You're just looking forward to getting to your next place
- 17:32Speaker 6: that's that's heat and cooled. So October you're like, man,
- 17:36Speaker 6: this is we're feeling good. We're feeling a little frisky
- 17:39Speaker 6: out here.
- 17:39Speaker 7: Come on.
- 17:40Speaker 6: Then football seasons and full throttle. Everybody's still every like
- 17:45Speaker 6: all these storylines and football are still alive. There's no
- 17:48Speaker 6: one really out of it except for usually like the Cowboys.
- 17:52Speaker 6: So other than that, I mean, what's not to love.
- 17:56Speaker 6: It's a good point.
- 17:57Speaker 5: You can go outside in a on Saturday morning in
- 18:00Speaker 5: October and you could oh yeah, and you smell.
- 18:03Speaker 9: It not cold yet not hot, you know what it is.
- 18:06Speaker 6: Yeah, you smell it, you feel it charges you up
- 18:09Speaker 6: a little bit.
- 18:09Speaker 7: I love it. I love it.
- 18:10Speaker 6: And then then then thanks Thanksgiving time, like November seems
- 18:17Speaker 6: like also great for weather, but it starts to get
- 18:20Speaker 6: a little dreary. Yeah, I think. Then December pops off.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Obviously simmer shows out. Yeah, December does. December things does,
- 18:32Speaker 6: except where the property tax bills come.
- 18:35Speaker 7: Is that when they come? As long as kicking the nuts.
- 18:39Speaker 10: Yeah, what a great way they remember to cash the
- 18:45Speaker 10: check you send them.
- 18:49Speaker 7: Sure that never happened. Oh yeah, it happens. Shout out. Mhm.
- 18:55Speaker 5: It wouldn't received this ship. Oh you sent it? Oh
- 19:01Speaker 5: five months? Oh we're thinking about arresting you. Well no
- 19:05Speaker 5: I did.
- 19:06Speaker 7: You didn't cauldn't sit there in fester. Oh my gosh.
- 19:15Speaker 6: All right, we'll take a break. It's Friday. Nobody was
- 19:19Speaker 6: on the roads this morning. You're probably off of work.
- 19:22Speaker 6: I don't know why. It feels like that's what happens
- 19:24Speaker 6: in the summertime.
- 19:28Speaker 12: Oh man, goot, goot, goot, go show. It's shumar We're
- 19:37Speaker 12: gonna it's shumard.
- 19:39Speaker 7: We're gonna sit the can. He's like, it's shumard. And
- 19:43Speaker 7: you know, we don't get up because.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Tires. This is off the bench.
- 19:50Speaker 12: Come get me out.
- 19:55Speaker 7: Getting you up. I don't fill the book.
- 19:58Speaker 12: My mind got what you need.
- 20:03Speaker 7: Come get me. I mean you found the most edited version.
- 20:11Speaker 6: Sheesh, this one was all right, edited for preschool.
- 20:15Speaker 7: That's what I said.
- 20:15Speaker 8: He he goes from sex all the way to love.
- 20:17Speaker 8: I'm like, those aren't bad words? Yeah, no, no, none of
- 20:20Speaker 8: those are explicit words.
- 20:21Speaker 7: It edited out into making love.
- 20:24Speaker 9: Yeah, like that's not I just clicked clean version. This
- 20:27Speaker 9: was like toddler version.
- 20:32Speaker 7: They played that at the pre school, pe.
- 20:36Speaker 9: Class, middle school dances popping off.
- 20:38Speaker 7: Maybe don't burst the balloon they ever do that?
- 20:49Speaker 5: No, but I mean I've I went to in between
- 20:53Speaker 5: you only dances. I went to like a middle school, right,
- 20:56Speaker 5: the most public public school.
- 20:59Speaker 7: There was no balloon.
- 21:01Speaker 6: If tap out shirt was a thing there, it would
- 21:03Speaker 6: have been there. Yeah, with no fear of shirts in
- 21:07Speaker 6: that crowd, probably on your back.
- 21:09Speaker 7: I know I had them, had what no fear shirts?
- 21:17Speaker 7: H The Grand Slam one was always to go to.
- 21:25Speaker 7: All Right, did you watch the game yesterday? M mmmm
- 21:33Speaker 7: uh yes I did. I did. He's it's gonna turning
- 21:41Speaker 7: himself into a little bit of a villain, Yeah, a
- 21:43Speaker 7: little bit. Huh. Yeah, he's got a villain face.
- 21:45Speaker 6: He does one of these, I'm it's not like I
- 21:51Speaker 6: wouldn't consider like punishable, like oh Harry for England, that's.
- 21:56Speaker 7: Me, that's you.
- 21:57Speaker 6: Yeah, the first time that's ever happened. I would say
- 22:00Speaker 6: he's got a punchable face. But he's got a villain face.
- 22:02Speaker 6: He's a villain face.
- 22:03Speaker 7: Yeah he does like a bad guy. Yeah. They feel
- 22:08Speaker 7: inevitable though at this point, I mean.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Who played them? Well, not this, not yesterday, but the
- 22:14Speaker 6: round before that, somebody played the most. That's right, they
- 22:18Speaker 6: we destroyed. Yeah one, I don't know, man, Irylin's gonna
- 22:24Speaker 6: get them.
- 22:25Speaker 7: That's who. That's who I hope.
- 22:28Speaker 5: Now is it gonna happen, I don't know, but that's
- 22:31Speaker 5: who I hope gets it done.
- 22:33Speaker 7: Like I would love to see Norway go win a
- 22:35Speaker 7: World Cup.
- 22:36Speaker 5: That'd be incredible. I mean there's certainly an underdog. They're
- 22:39Speaker 5: thirty first in FIFA rankings. Everybody else is like, you know,
- 22:43Speaker 5: I think five of the top eight are still in
- 22:47Speaker 5: the tournament.
- 22:49Speaker 7: Mhm, So you got some heavy hitters. Uh.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Switzerland probably the the other underdog. They're nineteenth I think
- 22:54Speaker 5: in FIFA ranking.
- 22:56Speaker 6: I just don't want to see the French one because
- 22:58Speaker 6: like we know from French or a holes. Yeah, absolutely,
- 23:03Speaker 6: And they don't know if they'll win it. Nobody's there
- 23:05Speaker 6: development And I gotta tell you, like what if you're
- 23:07Speaker 6: on the fence about it. I've been in France a
- 23:10Speaker 6: couple of times. They don't really like Americans very much.
- 23:13Speaker 7: They are, they gave, They gave you the side.
- 23:16Speaker 8: They looked down on you, which is weird because U
- 23:20Speaker 8: has to save their ass multiple times, but you know whatever.
- 23:22Speaker 6: And we tipped our caps to them because they helped
- 23:24Speaker 6: us out defeat the Red Coats. They helped us out.
- 23:28Speaker 6: We had your back more recently, and we do. You
- 23:32Speaker 6: walk around there and they kind of like lift their
- 23:34Speaker 6: nose up at Americans. Not all of them. I'm casting
- 23:38Speaker 6: a wide net here. Yea, certainly right.
- 23:40Speaker 7: But quite a few of them do not like them.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Yeah, well, let me ask you how many SEC championships
- 23:46Speaker 5: as France won.
- 23:49Speaker 7: None, so don't worry about it. Zero. They didn't like
- 23:53Speaker 7: me one time, so ordered mimosa. They don't like when
- 23:58Speaker 7: you who stuff in their champagne.
- 24:04Speaker 6: Stupid American's been this orange juice and champagne, well classless.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Really like why they because they're snooty about it.
- 24:12Speaker 7: But is it on the menu.
- 24:15Speaker 6: No, But I'm like, you got orange juice, you got champagne.
- 24:20Speaker 6: You see where I'm going with this. Yeah, it was
- 24:23Speaker 6: this Morning's Delicious to its freshly squeeze orange juice.
- 24:29Speaker 7: Real nice.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Yes, Greg, they did give us a statue of liberty.
- 24:33Speaker 5: They tried to take it back.
- 24:34Speaker 7: Yeah they did. Wouldn't let them. Yeah. Hey, but again.
- 24:40Speaker 6: We are thankful for their help when we needed it
- 24:44Speaker 6: two hundred and fifty years ago. We get nothing to
- 24:48Speaker 6: return except statue liberty. Can't even get a mimosa.
- 24:53Speaker 7: Don't even get a mimosa. Why you ordered mimosa? I
- 24:56Speaker 7: don't know. I just felt right for Lazier, for yourself.
- 25:01Speaker 7: I got that for me. The more we get down
- 25:06Speaker 7: this road, I think they were right.
- 25:09Speaker 6: What's wrong with the mimosa? Come on, mimosas are not good,
- 25:14Speaker 6: said nobody ever. It was brunch situation. We were at
- 25:21Speaker 6: an outdoor market. I didn't want to be walking around shopping,
- 25:25Speaker 6: so I posted up.
- 25:29Speaker 7: Taylor Sharp, have you ever ordered a mimosa?
- 25:32Speaker 2: Ordered one?
- 25:33Speaker 7: No? No, okay, drank one.
- 25:36Speaker 8: Victoria made like a brunch for her mom on Mother's
- 25:39Speaker 8: Day or whatever, and she made like a ton of
- 25:41Speaker 8: mimosas a couple of years ago. I drank one. But no,
- 25:44Speaker 8: I've never ordered one in public. No, I mean I
- 25:46Speaker 8: was on vacation time. It was it was brunch.
- 25:49Speaker 7: You're getting depends on just asking the question to the crowd.
- 25:52Speaker 6: Paul O'Neill, have you ever had a mimosa ordered amos.
- 26:00Speaker 7: I don't believe so I have had them. I don't
- 26:04Speaker 7: think I've ever ordered one, all right, I'm just curious.
- 26:09Speaker 7: So just taking a poll of the room.
- 26:11Speaker 6: You know what, I wasn't you know it was? It
- 26:13Speaker 6: was like eleven am wasn't gonna order whiskey on the
- 26:16Speaker 6: rocks or anything.
- 26:19Speaker 9: I think matts like, give me a dark beer.
- 26:22Speaker 6: I got called out for that warm shot one time
- 26:25Speaker 6: we went to we were we were in New Orleans
- 26:29Speaker 6: and we had we had a huge group and so
- 26:32Speaker 6: we went to Moonlight. So they're always so great to us,
- 26:34Speaker 6: and like if I call them, hey, we got thirty
- 26:36Speaker 6: seven people, they'll find a way to get us in there.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Doring called me out of all people because I got
- 26:44Speaker 5: jameson on the rocks at lunchtime. Everybody you know, was
- 26:48Speaker 5: getting drinks or whatever. And I was like, I don't know,
- 26:49Speaker 5: I'm feeling pretty spicy. I know, well she's gonna kick
- 26:52Speaker 5: the you know what out of Clemson celebrate early here.
- 26:55Speaker 7: Sure I got judged by Doring.
- 26:57Speaker 5: I felt like if you get judged by Dooring in
- 26:59Speaker 5: that on a setting, you're going to step too far.
- 27:02Speaker 7: And maybe it's me maybe it's me. If it's him
- 27:06Speaker 7: the one that's passing judgment. Maybe he's right. Maybe is
- 27:09Speaker 7: that what you're saying. I don't know. I think you're
- 27:13Speaker 7: I think you're on the right right there. Thank you.
- 27:16Speaker 6: Dorian seems like a one of those guys party judger. Well,
- 27:20Speaker 6: I mean, we saw what he does at Manti girl
- 27:23Speaker 6: do yeah, reb we played the video.
- 27:27Speaker 7: Hm listening to Kevin.
- 27:28Speaker 6: Gates dos Kevy thinking with something.
- 27:40Speaker 5: All right, we'll take a break and when we come back,
- 27:43Speaker 5: we'll lock in. We'll have a sports segment. It's Friday,
- 27:48Speaker 5: I know it's Friday.
- 27:49Speaker 6: We're going off vibes and apparently mimosas and uh, we'll
- 27:54Speaker 6: lock in. We'll have a little bit of a sports
- 27:56Speaker 6: Maybe you actually tried to start one there with him, babe,
- 27:58Speaker 6: and then it just kind of turned yeahs on you
- 28:01Speaker 6: the French.
- 28:02Speaker 7: Yeah a holes, yes, more O t B. When we
- 28:05Speaker 7: come back here live from the Raising King Street.
- 28:13Speaker 11: A long time, you just say, my life came coming
- 28:17Speaker 11: down long time.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven Champs Purple and Gold to the Core.
- 28:33Speaker 3: This is off the bench with Hester and Flynn probably
- 28:36Speaker 3: Baton Rouges go to for all things Louisiana.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Sports.
- 28:40Speaker 7: Ain't nothing looking better than when up coming.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Ain't another feeling better than when I'm knowing money.
- 28:45Speaker 7: You can tell it. I'm I'm going to get the money.
- 28:48Speaker 7: I'm gonna get the.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Weekend.
- 28:56Speaker 11: We won't even know what.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Because all right, welcome back in oh TV. Here live
- 29:06Speaker 6: from the Raising Kine Studio. Jake Flynn, Tats and Paul
- 29:13Speaker 6: O'Neill here with you on this Friday.
- 29:19Speaker 7: Thety.
- 29:20Speaker 5: What's this thing we've got in here? And I've heard
- 29:22Speaker 5: everybody every show talk about it.
- 29:24Speaker 6: This top forty LSU donors in this uh, this I
- 29:27Speaker 6: guess dinner reception that they're having.
- 29:30Speaker 9: Yeah, they were.
- 29:31Speaker 8: Wade Reuse invited the top forty donors to the Governor's
- 29:34Speaker 8: mansion coming up to hear the financial plan for LSU athletics.
- 29:39Speaker 8: And you know there are some throwing around, oh, this
- 29:41Speaker 8: will change the landscape of college athletics. So, you know,
- 29:45Speaker 8: not a ton of info on it. Ross Dellinger did
- 29:48Speaker 8: put out that I do have in the dock. He
- 29:50Speaker 8: did put out a letter detail them a little bit
- 29:53Speaker 8: more of of what it is. But yeah, I mean,
- 29:55Speaker 8: it's basically just listening to the new financial plan for
- 29:59Speaker 8: LSU out athletics. You know, I did not get an
- 30:01Speaker 8: invite to that dinner, so a little upset about that
- 30:04Speaker 8: my invitation must have got lost in the mail. But
- 30:07Speaker 8: rosso Dellinger puts out that Governor Landry supported the presidency
- 30:11Speaker 8: of doctor Wade Ruse because he believes Wade is an innovator,
- 30:14Speaker 8: especially as it relates to economics, financing, and revenue. The
- 30:18Speaker 8: Governor and the President are inviting you to a private
- 30:21Speaker 8: event at the Governor's mansion on Monday, August third or Wednesday,
- 30:25Speaker 8: August fifth, beginning at six pm to get a first
- 30:27Speaker 8: look at alternative revenue generating opportunity to LSU athletics that
- 30:31Speaker 8: is a first of its kind nationally. And then it
- 30:34Speaker 8: kind of goes on and on like this is not
- 30:35Speaker 8: an ask for money. It's it's not a fundraising it says.
- 30:39Speaker 5: The invitation stresses, these are not fundraising events, but discussions
- 30:43Speaker 5: about the future financial model for college athletics LSU. In
- 30:49Speaker 5: the article on Louisianasports dot Net, you can find that
- 30:52Speaker 5: it was posted yesterday. So the ELSHO was facing significant
- 30:56Speaker 5: financial pressure, including more than seventy million dollars in current
- 31:00Speaker 5: contract buyouts. That's Brian Kelly Matt McMahon, Scott Wioward, and
- 31:04Speaker 5: Lane Kiffin twenty and a half million dollars annually in
- 31:08Speaker 5: new athlete revenue sharing expenses.
- 31:10Speaker 7: As we know.
- 31:13Speaker 5: We also know that they got you know, a Jersey
- 31:15Speaker 5: Patch sponsor and Woodside Energy, so all of that's going
- 31:19Speaker 5: to have to be figured out. And this feels like
- 31:21Speaker 5: maybe just hey, we're gonna get a plan together. We've
- 31:23Speaker 5: got to make sure that the old teaser crossed and
- 31:26Speaker 5: the eyes are dotted here to make sure.
- 31:28Speaker 7: That like what we think we have, we actually do have.
- 31:32Speaker 6: So I don't know was my high thirty eight, thirty
- 31:34Speaker 6: nine or forty on that list. That's a great question.
- 31:37Speaker 6: We haven't yet paid a college kid anything, so we
- 31:42Speaker 6: hadn't gotten too the nil space just yet.
- 31:45Speaker 7: I don't know if we will.
- 31:46Speaker 6: But I heard this news yesterday I was like, Okay,
- 31:50Speaker 6: this sounds like this sounds like kind of like a
- 31:53Speaker 6: player's only meeting when like things aren't going great. Hey,
- 31:56Speaker 6: you get together and try to okay something. And of
- 32:00Speaker 6: course we don't know what was said or heard in
- 32:03Speaker 6: this meeting, but is this a meeting because they want
- 32:07Speaker 6: to re reassess things because it's not working or reassess
- 32:11Speaker 6: things that make more efficient. But we know that this
- 32:15Speaker 6: is an unprecedented time. We've never seen this before in
- 32:21Speaker 6: the college athletic world. It's the professional sports. It's the
- 32:26Speaker 6: payment of players, the buying out of these huge coaches contracts.
- 32:31Speaker 6: And you know, I've been sitting here, we all have
- 32:34Speaker 6: been watching these astronomical numbers, all this payment, all these
- 32:39Speaker 6: donors having to front the bill for all this stuff.
- 32:41Speaker 6: Because certainly there's a revshare portion to college athletics, but
- 32:46Speaker 6: that's not enough to do what all these colleges are doing.
- 32:51Speaker 6: And you have to keep up with the Jones on
- 32:53Speaker 6: this thing. You can't like, let your competitors spend go
- 32:57Speaker 6: raise twenty thirty forty fifty million dollars from donors and
- 33:01Speaker 6: you not do it. The question is is how much?
- 33:07Speaker 6: How long do people have an appetite for that? Because
- 33:11Speaker 6: what is return on investment? What is like it did?
- 33:15Speaker 6: I don't care how much money you got. Eventually you
- 33:20Speaker 6: get tired of writing checks, but especially if there's not
- 33:24Speaker 6: success that comes along with it.
- 33:27Speaker 7: So I don't know. It's a one of these things.
- 33:29Speaker 7: It's like, is the college is college athletics the way
- 33:33Speaker 7: it is now?
- 33:34Speaker 6: Is it sustainable over a long period of time, we
- 33:36Speaker 6: will see. Nobody really knows the answer to that question.
- 33:39Speaker 6: I find it hard to believe that it is, but
- 33:43Speaker 6: I know nothing. So like, I'm not a part of
- 33:46Speaker 6: that meeting. I hadn't been like a big donor or
- 33:49Speaker 6: anything like that. So it's like, I don't know that
- 33:52Speaker 6: all the ins and outs and details. But I can
- 33:54Speaker 6: just look at it from a surface level and be like,
- 33:57Speaker 6: where are we finding all this money?
- 33:59Speaker 7: And how long? How long? How big of an appetite
- 34:01Speaker 7: do these donors have over you know, what if lane
- 34:04Speaker 7: didn't work out? What if this and that doesn't happen?
- 34:06Speaker 6: What if things do not work out the way you're
- 34:09Speaker 6: not promised but you were sold that they could. So
- 34:13Speaker 6: I don't know, I don't know what the answer is.
- 34:14Speaker 6: I mean, do you how do you go and get
- 34:16Speaker 6: twenty million dollars every single year to be on top
- 34:18Speaker 6: of the twenty millions that's what they're they're looking at.
- 34:21Speaker 6: You get twenty million for REV share? Yeah, and then
- 34:24Speaker 6: is the standard has to be go find twenty million more?
- 34:27Speaker 6: And I don't want to hear any complaints about the
- 34:29Speaker 6: biots on coaches. Everybody knew what they were getting into Yeah,
- 34:32Speaker 6: when they fired and hired, so like we all had
- 34:36Speaker 6: heard and thought that there's people that have stepped up
- 34:39Speaker 6: to pay that dollar, so there shouldn't be any Like
- 34:42Speaker 6: we got to figure this out now, Like I don't
- 34:44Speaker 6: want to hear about it eight months later.
- 34:47Speaker 7: You did it. You said you had the resources, so
- 34:52Speaker 7: no complaints.
- 34:53Speaker 5: Yeah, Well, parts of an ON three article kind of
- 34:57Speaker 5: breaks down some of the the language here in the invitation,
- 35:01Speaker 5: the Governor and the President are inviting you to a
- 35:03Speaker 5: private event at the Governor's mansion on Monday August third
- 35:06Speaker 5: or Wednesday, August the fifth, beginning at six pm, to
- 35:09Speaker 5: get a first look at an alternative revenue generating opportunity
- 35:14Speaker 5: for LSU athletics that is the first of its kind
- 35:17Speaker 5: of nationally and could quite possibly change the future of
- 35:21Speaker 5: college sports in America.
- 35:26Speaker 7: See is that, like.
- 35:30Speaker 5: We're gonna get the forty best people in the room
- 35:34Speaker 5: and we're gonna come up with those ideas.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Is that those ideas are already in place, We've come
- 35:39Speaker 6: up with those ideas. We want to bounce this idea
- 35:42Speaker 6: off of you, Like if you're putting in there that
- 35:47Speaker 6: it could quite possibly change the future of college sports
- 35:49Speaker 6: in America. That tells me you've already got the model
- 35:53Speaker 6: and the plan and you want to present it to
- 35:54Speaker 6: these forty people. Is it kind of like a unity
- 35:58Speaker 6: council meeting? Which is like the team leaders when we
- 36:02Speaker 6: were playing with Les Miles and brought us all together
- 36:06Speaker 6: to make us feel like we were doing something and
- 36:09Speaker 6: how to say so, And he's like, this is what
- 36:10Speaker 6: we're gonna do. I'm like, you've got a suggestion. He's like,
- 36:12Speaker 6: we're not gonna do it that way, but we're gonna
- 36:14Speaker 6: do it.
- 36:14Speaker 7: Hey, should this guy be on the team or off
- 36:17Speaker 7: the team? Coach?
- 36:18Speaker 5: This guy doesn't need to be on the team anymore.
- 36:19Speaker 5: He's more headache than anything. All Right, he'll be there,
- 36:23Speaker 5: but i'll talk to.
- 36:24Speaker 7: Him than all right, coach, why din'd you ask us?
- 36:29Speaker 7: Here's some pizza to distract you?
- 36:32Speaker 6: And I don't know if y'all ever been in a
- 36:34Speaker 6: room with someone wealthy and powerful. And I don't know
- 36:42Speaker 6: if they like put forty of them together. I don't
- 36:45Speaker 6: know if they all play nicely together and have the
- 36:46Speaker 6: same opinions and can be constructive in one meeting. So
- 36:50Speaker 6: they were getting told what was the plan? They weren't
