- 0:02Speaker 1: What's up and welcome. This is the Rogue Recap and
- 0:06Speaker 1: you are here with your host, Linda McLaughlin. She is pissed, off, outraged,
- 0:11Speaker 1: and has zero patients with what seems to be an
- 0:14Speaker 1: epidemic of entitlement and stupidity. Here we talk about all
- 0:19Speaker 1: the things the other shows just don't or won't touch.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Make sure to like and subscribe to our podcast so
- 0:25Speaker 1: you never miss an episode.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Well, hello and welcome to the Rogue Recap. I am
- 0:29Speaker 2: Linda McLaughlin, your host. Please follow us at Linda mick
- 0:33Speaker 2: at Rogue Recap on X We're going to do a
- 0:36Speaker 2: quick one tonight on something fun and it's called how
- 0:41Speaker 2: dumb are the Democrats and the Rhinos and the people
- 0:46Speaker 2: who just have you know, trumped arrangement syndrome, which sadly
- 0:50Speaker 2: is a very real thing. I used to say it
- 0:52Speaker 2: like as a joke, like, oh, you have TDS, and
- 0:54Speaker 2: now I'm like, no, you actually have TDS. Like this
- 0:58Speaker 2: should be categorized as real thing. So this week, in
- 1:02Speaker 2: addition to the left being upset that the president is
- 1:06Speaker 2: trying to clean up the streets in Portland from the
- 1:09Speaker 2: violent Antifa groups while he's trying to keep Washington, DC
- 1:14Speaker 2: clean as he continues to work on Memphis, as he
- 1:17Speaker 2: is now looking forward to the streets of California and
- 1:21Speaker 2: San Francisco in particular, because they have such a ridiculous
- 1:25Speaker 2: drug problem and it just seems to be a heroin
- 1:29Speaker 2: and fentanyl takeover on those streets, with tons and tons
- 1:32Speaker 2: of homeless and people just using needles and drugs openly
- 1:37Speaker 2: all day long in broad daylight. They just don't care.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And in the midst of all this, you know, the
- 1:42Speaker 2: President is meeting with world leaders and dealing with these
- 1:46Speaker 2: really really dumb left wing party advocates for things that
- 1:51Speaker 2: have nothing to do with helping America during this Schumer shutdown,
- 1:57Speaker 2: and one of the things that people are freaking looking
- 2:00Speaker 2: out about is the fact that the president is doing
- 2:03Speaker 2: construction on the White House. And one of the people
- 2:07Speaker 2: that spoke out against the president was Hillary Clinton, which
- 2:10Speaker 2: I find kind of rich because for those of you
- 2:12Speaker 2: who don't remember, she stole like almost one hundred thousand
- 2:15Speaker 2: dollars worth of furniture from the White House when her
- 2:18Speaker 2: and Bill left and had to return it all. I
- 2:21Speaker 2: don't know why you would want furniture that's been used
- 2:23Speaker 2: a thousand times anyway, but we'll put it to the
- 2:25Speaker 2: side for a hot second. So she's saying, it's the
- 2:28Speaker 2: people's house, you can't do this, and blah blah blah.
- 2:31Speaker 2: It's just utter and complete nonsense. And so, you know,
- 2:36Speaker 2: the White House put out a ton of information about
- 2:41Speaker 2: what is happening to the ballroom as well as you know,
- 2:46Speaker 2: the East Wing and what they're doing. And part of
- 2:51Speaker 2: what he did was he listed, you know, over the
- 2:54Speaker 2: last hundred years, how many presidents have done various things
- 2:59Speaker 2: to the White House, And he goes back to nineteen
- 3:04Speaker 2: oh two, and I'll just lift off some of the
- 3:08Speaker 2: things that have been done to the White House. And
- 3:10Speaker 2: I want you to note the following items that I'm
- 3:13Speaker 2: listening to you, unless I stayed otherwise, are paid for
- 3:19Speaker 2: by American taxpayer dollars. So in nineteen oh two, Theodore
- 3:25Speaker 2: Roosevelt built the West Wing. Okay, in nineteen oh nine,
- 3:30Speaker 2: President Taft added the first Oval office during the West
- 3:35Speaker 2: Wing expansion. In nineteen thirty three, Franklin Eleanor Roosevelt added
- 3:40Speaker 2: a second floor to the West Wing, and in nineteen
- 3:44Speaker 2: thirty four he relocated the Oval Office to where it
- 3:48Speaker 2: sits currently. Completed the east wing and built an indoor
- 3:52Speaker 2: swimming pool. In nineteen forty eight, President Truman began completely
- 3:57Speaker 2: gutting and rebuilding the White House interior, and he only
- 4:01Speaker 2: kept the exterior walls during that construction. In nineteen seventy
- 4:06Speaker 2: Nixon converted FDR's pool into a press briefing room. In
- 4:12Speaker 2: nineteen seventy three, he added a bowling alley into the basement.
- 4:16Speaker 2: In two thousand and nine, President Obama upgraded the tennis
- 4:20Speaker 2: court into a full basketball court. Now, in twenty twenty five,
- 4:25Speaker 2: here's where the exception comes. President Trump, on his own dime,
- 4:30Speaker 2: with his own money, has broken ground. He is building
- 4:35Speaker 2: a new grand ballroom, he's modernizing the wing, and he's
- 4:39Speaker 2: privately funding the entire project. So while all of these
- 4:44Speaker 2: other presidents have made far more extensive changes to the
- 4:48Speaker 2: White House and far more expansive construction projects, all on
- 4:53Speaker 2: your dime, this president is working on two areas. He
- 4:58Speaker 2: just finished the Rose Garden as well, just modernizing, cleaning
- 5:01Speaker 2: it up, putting a new pavement, et ce gutter, so
- 5:04Speaker 2: on and so forth. But all of it done on
- 5:07Speaker 2: his own dime, and people are losing their minds. What
- 5:14Speaker 2: are you so upset about? Why are you so angry?
- 5:18Speaker 2: You know, when Jackie Kennedy was redoing the White House
- 5:22Speaker 2: back in the day, they did a whole documentary on
- 5:26Speaker 2: JFK and what he was doing and why he was
- 5:30Speaker 2: doing it, and how exciting it all was and why
- 5:33Speaker 2: they were making these changes and so on and so forth.
- 5:36Speaker 2: But what's interesting about that is they did not they
- 5:41Speaker 2: did not end up airing and going through the changes
- 5:46Speaker 2: because of the assassination of JFK. But my point in
- 5:49Speaker 2: pointing this out was they thought it was so great,
- 5:52Speaker 2: they made an entire documentary about it, and then you
- 5:57Speaker 2: look at these people and they're freaking I was looking
- 6:00Speaker 2: at a report from CNN in twenty ten, and there's
- 6:06Speaker 2: these two reporters that are talking on CNN. One of
- 6:10Speaker 2: them actually goes to the White House. She's got the construction,
- 6:14Speaker 2: you know, hard hat on. They were doing a three
- 6:18Speaker 2: hundred and seventy six million dollar White House renovation during
- 6:22Speaker 2: Obama's administration. Not only were they not outraged, they were
- 6:27Speaker 2: so happy. They're smiling and they're laughing during the segment,
- 6:32Speaker 2: and they're they're doing first hand footage to show you
- 6:36Speaker 2: them breaking ground. I'm like, what is different? There's only
- 6:40Speaker 2: one thing different, and it's who's sitting in the White
- 6:45Speaker 2: House now. While they're very, very upset about this president
- 6:51Speaker 2: using his own money to fund changes to the White
- 6:57Speaker 2: House that will make the White House much better, structurally sound,
- 7:01Speaker 2: much cleaner, updated, all the things, they have no problem
- 7:05Speaker 2: spending your money. So while the government is shut down
- 7:10Speaker 2: and the Democrats continue to do stupid things like filibuster
- 7:13Speaker 2: on the floor, stay up all night reading poetry on
- 7:16Speaker 2: the Senate floor, it's absurd. There are hundreds of thousands
- 7:21Speaker 2: of government employees that aren't getting paid and the left
- 7:26Speaker 2: seems to think that's fine, that's not upsetting. And the
- 7:29Speaker 2: reason that they won't come to the table to find
- 7:34Speaker 2: mutual ground is because of a few items. Let's just
- 7:39Speaker 2: list them off for fun. Number one. They want free
- 7:42Speaker 2: health care for illegals. They want the funding restored for
- 7:46Speaker 2: NPR and PBS. Why why should we be funding MPR
- 7:50Speaker 2: and PBS. They want to revoke the monies that we
- 7:55Speaker 2: have allocated for rural hospitals, which we desperately need. They
- 8:00Speaker 2: want to put money back into climate and DEI funding,
- 8:04Speaker 2: but not for us, for foreign nations. And they want
- 8:08Speaker 2: to continue the Biden Obamacare subsidies. Why why would we
- 8:14Speaker 2: want any of them? What does that do for the
- 8:18Speaker 2: American people? You want to allocate funds for DEI because
- 8:25Speaker 2: of what? Why are we doing this? And then here's
- 8:29Speaker 2: some more things if we want to get into like specifics.
- 8:32Speaker 2: And I wish that I was kidding, like I wish
- 8:35Speaker 2: that I was being exaggerative or ridiculous about what I'm
- 8:39Speaker 2: talking about. But these are actual demands from the left
- 8:44Speaker 2: that they want in the CR the Continued resolution. Okay,
- 8:49Speaker 2: three million dollars allocate it for circumcisions and vasectomies in Zambia.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Eight hundred and thirty three thousand dollars for training gender
- 9:00Speaker 2: people in Nepal, four point two million dollars for LGBTQ
- 9:06Speaker 2: people in the Western Balkans and Uganda. Three point six
- 9:12Speaker 2: million dollars for pastry cooking classes and dance focus groups
- 9:18Speaker 2: for mail prostitutes in Haiti. Did you hear what I
- 9:23Speaker 2: just said? Let me say it again. Three point six
- 9:29Speaker 2: million dollars for pastry cooking classes and dance focused groups
- 9:37Speaker 2: for mail prostitutes in Haiti. What the hell are we
- 9:44Speaker 2: talking about? You're telling me that male prostitutes in Haiti
- 9:50Speaker 2: are interested in pastry cooking classes. These are the issues
- 9:54Speaker 2: that they feel so deeply connected to and want to
- 9:57Speaker 2: devote their time to. In Haiti, a third world nation,
- 10:01Speaker 2: five hundred thousand dollars for electric buses in Rwanda, six
- 10:07Speaker 2: million dollars for media organizations for the Palestinians, three hundred
- 10:14Speaker 2: thousand dollars for a pride parade in lesothough eight hundred
- 10:20Speaker 2: and eighty two thousand dollars for social media and mentorship
- 10:25Speaker 2: in Serbia. So that's just a few items from their
- 10:30Speaker 2: list of demands. Can you explain to me why anybody
- 10:36Speaker 2: would think any of what I just said is a
- 10:38Speaker 2: good idea. Why on earth do you think it's people?
- 10:44Speaker 2: I mean, people are freaking. They're apoplectic over President Trump
- 10:49Speaker 2: working on the White House. It is so ridiculous. And
- 10:52Speaker 2: the problem is they know that the average person is
- 10:56Speaker 2: not aware of the fact that most presidents make changes
- 10:59Speaker 2: to the White House, drastic changes. Most presidents go in
- 11:04Speaker 2: and it's not just like they're changing pictures, they're changing
- 11:07Speaker 2: the flow of the home. I mean, think about that,
- 11:11Speaker 2: every single president before President Trump was doing this. But
- 11:14Speaker 2: because it's President Trump, it becomes a national story. And
- 11:19Speaker 2: not only is it a national story. But they neglect
- 11:23Speaker 2: to specify that he is not taking taxpayer funding to
- 11:26Speaker 2: do this. He's doing it on his own dime. He's
- 11:30Speaker 2: got private funding to make this happen. Why, I mean,
- 11:36Speaker 2: that doesn't even make sense. So these are the types
- 11:40Speaker 2: of things that we're really trying to get people to understand.
- 11:45Speaker 2: When you hear the left freaking out that changes are
- 11:49Speaker 2: being made to the White House, that this is the
- 11:51Speaker 2: people's house, that we don't have a right. What are
- 11:54Speaker 2: you talking about? He has every right. But what they're
- 11:58Speaker 2: not telling you is how they want to spend close
- 12:01Speaker 2: to four million dollars to teach a male prostitute in
- 12:05Speaker 2: Haiti how to make pastries. Don't we have enough problems here.
- 12:11Speaker 2: We're about to lose funding to our snap and food
- 12:14Speaker 2: programs for hundreds of thousands of children all over the country,
- 12:20Speaker 2: Which one of these asshole Democrats wants to tell one
- 12:23Speaker 2: of these little kiddos that they're not going to eat
- 12:25Speaker 2: tonight because they want their money to give to a
- 12:29Speaker 2: male prostitute in Haiti, or because they want Obamacare subsidies,
- 12:35Speaker 2: or because they want to make sure that they have
- 12:37Speaker 2: funding for a program that's been discontinued by President Trump.
- 12:42Speaker 2: There is such a dichotomy, there's such a divide where
- 12:49Speaker 2: it's good for thee and not me. Right, they're not
- 12:52Speaker 2: feeling what everybody else is feeling. They're not going through
- 12:55Speaker 2: what everybody else is going through. But I am so
- 12:58Speaker 2: sick and tired of this incredibly fake outrage about things
- 13:04Speaker 2: that are not true. How about you be upset because
- 13:09Speaker 2: you are asking the American taxpayer to give a million
- 13:12Speaker 2: dollars to transgender people in a poll. We got veterans
- 13:17Speaker 2: homeless on the street. We got thousands of kids waiting
- 13:21Speaker 2: in foster care trying to get adopted. We got people
- 13:24Speaker 2: who can't pay their mortgage and can't put food on
- 13:26Speaker 2: the table for their families. And this is what they're
- 13:30Speaker 2: doing with your money. And the issue is they've gotten
- 13:33Speaker 2: away with it for so dang long and they just
- 13:37Speaker 2: don't know what it is to hear no. So now
- 13:40Speaker 2: they're hearing no. Now the Republicans are standing strong. They're
- 13:44Speaker 2: saying to these idiots, come and pass the clean cr
- 13:47Speaker 2: that you've passed thirteen times previously, some of which under Biden,
- 13:52Speaker 2: Just come and do this. Enough they won't do it.
- 13:55Speaker 2: They want to stand outside on the Capitol steps and
- 13:58Speaker 2: feign outrage and act like they're being so wronged. They
- 14:03Speaker 2: are wrong. They are the problem. If you can look
- 14:07Speaker 2: at a list of Democrat demands of what they want
- 14:10Speaker 2: included in this bill, you would look at your family
- 14:14Speaker 2: member and you would say, this is ridiculous. I had
- 14:17Speaker 2: no idea. That's what I'm trying to tell you. They
- 14:22Speaker 2: want to take your money and literally put it into
- 14:26Speaker 2: other countries to help them achieve things that have nothing
- 14:30Speaker 2: to do with the well being of the average American person,
- 14:34Speaker 2: absolutely nothing. And why do they want to do that?
- 14:38Speaker 2: What are they getting out of it? There's the golden question.
- 14:41Speaker 2: You answer that and you can make it stop. I
- 14:44Speaker 2: know I'd love to hear it. So if you think
- 14:46Speaker 2: of it, please let us know. This is the Rogue Recap.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I am Lynna MacLaughlin. Thank you for joining us tonight.
- 14:51Speaker 2: We'll see you here tomorrow. Please be safe out there.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Have good night.
