- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Hey everyone, welcome back to the Beyond Limits podcast.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Today we are diving into the nervous system trick to let go instantly.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Because what if the real reason you cannot let go is because your nervous system doesn't know you are safe without it?
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: So in this episode, we are going to be breaking down what true detachment actually feels like in the nervous system, the reason why most people think they're detached, but they aren't, and how you can create instant freedom without bypassing, without performing, or trying to pretend you are detached.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: So most people do not have an attachment problem.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: They have a nervous system safety problem because they aren't trying to detach, they're trying to avoid pain.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Because you can say, I'm letting go all day long.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: But if your body isn't holding, you know, onto that knowing, right?
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: That safety.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: And instead it's gripping for a control or it's bracing for loss, then you're not detached, you're pretending, right?
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: You're trying not to care so that it doesn't hurt if it doesn't happen.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: But that's not detachment, that's fear masquerading as control, right?
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Letting go isn't so much of a mindset as it is nervous system safety that allows you to release, right?
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: The reason you're still rereading or tweaking or wondering if the person's gonna sign or circle back or checking your stories or checking your social media or checking your stripe or whatever it is, is because your body is seeking safety from that response.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: That is the only reason.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: You can say I'm over it, but you still flinch when that person is mentioned.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: You can say I'm open, but you secretly watch the door, hoping money's gonna walk through it.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: You can say I'm not attached, but then your body tenses every time the outcome seems like it's delayed.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: I'm letting go is only real if your nervous system isn't clenching while saying it.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: So detachment, and I want you like ears up for this, detachment is not needing the thing to happen for you to feel safe.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And so the fastest way to truly detach is to go straight to the root of what you are assigning to the outcome.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: You're gonna ask, what am I making this mean about me?
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: And what was I hoping this would give me?
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: This is truly the only thing.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: This is what you're attached to.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: It's not the person, it's not the lunch, it's not the money, it's not the house, the car, the thing.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: It is the meaning, right?
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: What are you assigning to the outcome?
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: So when you ask yourself, what am I making this mean and what am I hoping this is gonna give me, it's going to reveal to you what you're actually attached to.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: And if you can give your body the feeling it's been outsourcing, right?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: The safety, the significance, the security, then you can release that external friction instantly.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Because the only reason you're attached is because you're hoping it's gonna give you the thing, because you think you don't already have that thing, because you think that thing would make you whole and complete.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: You think that amount of money or that status or that thing would then give you that security, that significance, that stamp of approval.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: But when you already have that, there's no reason to be attached to that.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: The only reason you are attached is because you've placed that meaning in that.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: So, for example, you're attached to someone texting you back, is you attached to feeling desired.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: You're attached to, you know, you're launching 100K is you're attached to feeling powerful and on track and successful.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: You're not attached to the result, you are attached to the identity you think it would let you have, because you are saying, well, I need that thing to let me have that identity.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: I cannot have that identity until I have that thing.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: And when you regulate that layer, instant attachment, because you no longer need reality to cooperate for your nervous system to stay safe.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: So this, the nervous system, right?
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: The detachment trick in one sentence is I already have what I thought that thing would give me.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: I already have what I thought that thing would give me.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: And when you live to that place, you are not attached because you don't need anything else outside of you to complete you.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, the paradox of life is you will actually get the thing so much faster when you don't need that thing to complete you.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: So I want to uncover some of the signs that you're not actually detached, even if you say you are, like these subtle little micro braces that are happening in your system that shows us that you're still gripping.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: So, number one is the I'm just curious energy.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: And sometimes clients will text me this on Telegram, just like, voila, I'm just curious.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, the I'm just curious energy is attachment.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Like, we're attached to the outcome.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Why this is this happening?
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: I'm just curious.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm just curious.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Or even you checking stories, right?
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Checking stripe, looking for signs.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: It's like you're running all these little mental simulations.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: I'm just curious.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: I'm just curious.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: No, what you are doing is you are looking for reality to verify you because you are attached to the outcome.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: The second sign I want to talk about is pretending not to care, but overperforming, which looks like making sure, you know, your next piece of content is perfect in case that's the thing.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Showing up on your stories, you know, pretending not to care, but overperforming, like you need this certain charisma, you need this outfit, you need this thing.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: And you can feel where you're doing it.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh, I'm I'm pretending not to care.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: It's almost that energy.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: You've ever done this where you've broken up with someone or you've been in a breakup and maybe you know they're watching your social media and your stories.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: So like you pretend not to care if they're watching, but you're trying to like look extra hot or you're trying to look happy, you're trying to make them jealous.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: It's that same type of energy, but maybe well, maybe you're doing that in relationships, but you're also doing that with business, with money, with you know, all of these things.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: The third sign is that you're making silence mean something, right?
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: The the person didn't email you back, something must be wrong, right?
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: They didn't do this, something is wrong.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Uh nothing's happening yet, something must be wrong.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: That's not detachment, that's assigning power.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: And every time you do that, you are attaching to the outcome.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: And when you attach to that thing, you can't receive it.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: The next sign is softening yourself around what you're saying, right?
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Emails, content, etc., to hope that will be the thing.
- 7:05unknown: Right.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: So maybe you're sending an email, but you soften it with like, hi, exclamation point, or you follow it with a smiley face, right, in order to soften, not because you know it's genuine, because you're attached to it.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: So you try to like seem clean, but instead you are trying to micromanage the outcome by operating and performing in a certain way.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: And when you do that, all you end up doing is again attaching to the outcome.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: And that detachment isn't silence, right?
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: It's it's what happens inside of you when nothing responds.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: So if your body is still waiting for a mirrored signal to feel complete, you haven't detached.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: And I, you can feel, if you're gonna be honest with yourself, you can see where you're actually detached, where you say you're letting go, but then maybe you're still looking for science, right?
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: That's another sign.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh yeah, I'm let I've let go, I'm cool, but you're you're still scanning.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Notice this.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: Now, what's key here is that detachment doesn't mean that you don't care.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: It means your care isn't conditional on control, right?
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: Because true detachment is the collapse of any perceived separization, as in you don't think you are separate from that thing.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: It's the moment you realize I don't need it because I am it, right?
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: You don't need money because you are money.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: You don't need their validation because you are validated.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: You don't need them to recognize you because you recognize yourself.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: The reason you can't let it go is because you're still feeling that separation.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: You still feel like you're not it.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: And when you ship this, right, you stop relating to reality through like this bargaining system, right?
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: You stop believing that you need anything outside of you or that anything outside of you has the authority to complete you.
- 8:49unknown: Right.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: Detachment is if it's for me, it returns.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: If it's not, I'm still whole and complete.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And that's magnetic, right?
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: That is we talk about like the energetic posture of a woman who's magnetic, it's that it's she doesn't need anything to complete it because she is it and she knows that.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: So I want to run through kind of like a nervous system habit that will allow you to really shift into this detachment.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: I want you to ask yourself, if this never happens, who am I and what is still true?
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: Like if the thing never comes or the thing never happens, who am I and what is still true?
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: If there's any kind of fear there, if there's any kind of anxiety there, that is your key that you're still attached.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: And when you truly detach from that question, right, and you'll see whatever it reveals, you'll be able to see where you're placing your power and when you're not whole and complete.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: That true detachment is like the deepest form of love because it says I love and trust myself enough to not need this to prove anything.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: And then you become magnetic, not because you don't need anything what you don't, but because you're fully anchored in yourself.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: And when your system stops chasing everything, then everything starts chasing you.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: So I hope you love this episode.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: This is the true like nervous system trick to detach from anything.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: And I cannot wait to hear how this lands in your reality.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: And I will see you guys in the next episode.
