- 0:01Speaker 1: Big ninety eight Big ninety eight point seven Morning show
- 0:05Speaker 1: will maybe have a different feel forever forever.
- 0:10Speaker 2: In case you missed it, we made a huge announcement
- 0:14Speaker 2: that affects everyone on the show, all of the listeners.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Gabe, it's time.
- 0:22Speaker 1: So here we have someone who we very seldom aka
- 0:26Speaker 1: never hear from on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Here is actually my wife Corey with something to tell you.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Hi, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:35Speaker 2: This is Corey and Gabe and I are excited to
- 0:38Speaker 2: say that we are having a baby big name.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I am going to be a dad. My wife Corey
- 0:50Speaker 1: is pregnant.
- 0:52Speaker 3: This is so exciting.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I remember when I got to see the when we
- 0:58Speaker 1: found out this was the most Gabe glitten thing of
- 1:03Speaker 1: all time. The day Corey was like, oh, I think
- 1:06Speaker 1: I need to take like a pregnancy test. Yeah, you know,
- 1:09Speaker 1: she does the test, leaves it in the bathroom, and
- 1:10Speaker 1: then we're in the kitchen. I don't know what we
- 1:12Speaker 1: were doing, you know, making food or something, and I
- 1:15Speaker 1: was like, oh, it's been.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Like five ten minutes. Let me go look at this thing.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I'm nosy.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to find out and I walk in there,
- 1:21Speaker 1: I pick up this pregnancy test, and I look at
- 1:23Speaker 1: it and I'm well, I really don't know what this means.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I set it back. I set it back down, and
- 1:30Speaker 1: Corey comes around and looks at me, and I gave
- 1:32Speaker 1: her no, I mean no reaction, and she instantly knew, oh,
- 1:35Speaker 1: you're an idiot. You don't know how to read this
- 1:38Speaker 1: pregnancy test. So she walks over to it and she
- 1:40Speaker 1: was like, oh God, I think this like we're pregnant,
- 1:44Speaker 1: and I really and so she took a couple more,
- 1:47Speaker 1: you know, just to be safe. Yes, And I'll tell
- 1:50Speaker 1: you what. We knocked off a positive, positive, positive. And
- 1:54Speaker 1: we've gone to a couple of doctor's appointments together and
- 1:57Speaker 1: she is doing great. The the baby right now is
- 2:02Speaker 1: the length or size right length of an asparagus?
- 2:04Speaker 4: Does that say?
- 2:05Speaker 1: Right?
- 2:05Speaker 3: Yes?
- 2:06Speaker 4: She has this app that helps her keep track of just.
- 2:09Speaker 1: You know, size and what what's going on in the
- 2:12Speaker 1: pregnancy exactly. Yeah, and so on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:17Speaker 1: It's kind of interesting. For the longest time, I guess
- 2:19Speaker 1: a little over a year, I've just kind of been
- 2:21Speaker 1: the married, childless Dade me as the cat dad or
- 2:26Speaker 1: dog dad.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Not now you're gonna be a human dad dad exactly.
- 2:30Speaker 1: So I'm just excited for you to go on this
- 2:34Speaker 1: journey with me and get me every parenting tip in
- 2:37Speaker 1: the history of life. Okay, your boy is set up
- 2:40Speaker 1: for an online class coming up on January twentieth, Are
- 2:44Speaker 1: you really? Oh god, Yeah, I don't know anything about
- 2:47Speaker 1: baby babe.
- 2:48Speaker 3: This is so sweet.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I know nothing. I don't know how to change
- 2:51Speaker 1: a diaper. Uh, there's all these terms that I've had
- 2:54Speaker 1: to learn, and kind I will say. I have read
- 2:56Speaker 1: the books, I've read the pamphlets. I am trying to
- 2:59Speaker 1: get myself.
- 2:59Speaker 2: When you go to the doctor's appointment, you are reading
- 3:02Speaker 2: the pamplin.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I try to get as prepared as possible, but frankly,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I'm probably just gonna wing it, you know, and.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Hope that's what parenting is exactly.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So Corey was very, very excited for us to finally
- 3:13Speaker 1: be able to tell you. You know, we wanted to
- 3:15Speaker 1: be smart and make sure we went to a couple
- 3:17Speaker 1: of appointments first and just made sure all was.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Have you heard that you've heard the heartbeat?
- 3:21Speaker 1: We I'm glad you asked that question, because this baby
- 3:25Speaker 1: g's heart here. Oh my gosh, isn't that kind of crazy.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I love this, isn't it wild?
- 3:34Speaker 2: Like do you look at your wife and you know
- 3:37Speaker 2: she's just existing, but on the inside, she's creating a
- 3:41Speaker 2: whole human like your part being.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Done and now I'm just the water getter for now.
- 3:48Speaker 3: You've been catering to her left and right.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Yes, I sure am trying my best.
- 3:52Speaker 3: That's your job, right now.
- 3:53Speaker 4: That's right.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So from now on here on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 3:56Speaker 1: I'm very very happy. This is a song that will
- 4:02Speaker 1: be playing in my head in perpetuity here on Big
- 4:05Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven. But we we did post this
- 4:08Speaker 1: on Facebook, so if you saw this already, I just
- 4:10Speaker 1: want to say thank you for all the kind messages
- 4:12Speaker 1: and and everything we're seeing. We're very happy, very excited.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It happened very fast, Yeah, there was. I talked to Angiel,
- 4:20Speaker 1: which part happened very fast? Oh No, I had told
- 4:25Speaker 1: angs like, I think we're gonna try to have a kid,
- 4:27Speaker 1: and then I feel like a handful of weeks maybe
- 4:30Speaker 1: a month.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Yeah, we shared the news with you at Franks.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it was so sweet because this was
- 4:35Speaker 2: around Christmas time.
- 4:36Speaker 3: That you told me.
- 4:37Speaker 4: I think Thanksgiving and was it?
- 4:39Speaker 2: Oh, but you guys were already decorating for Christmas, because
- 4:42Speaker 2: you're talking about Christmas decorations and you said to me, yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 2: I think we got to get an extra stocking. And
- 4:48Speaker 2: it took me like two point five seconds to put
- 4:51Speaker 2: that together, and.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It was like, wait, wait, yeah, Angie literally just was
- 4:55Speaker 1: like and then she's crovious. Yeah, I'm watching the bikes
- 5:01Speaker 1: beat the Detroit Lions.
- 5:03Speaker 3: A whole day was had. How fun.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Well, congratulations, Gabe. I'm really excited to be with you
- 5:08Speaker 2: on this journey. Yes, as you go into fatherhood.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yes, and we're very excited to have you on this
- 5:13Speaker 1: journey with us here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Now, Angie, you are an aunt already.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I like that, But now you get to
- 5:20Speaker 1: be the aunt of a baby. Oh.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I wasn't even thinking of those other kids. I was thinking, Yes,
- 5:25Speaker 2: now I'm an ant. I'm an anti to baby g.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Yep, So any parenting tip I'm welcome for him. I'm
- 5:32Speaker 1: excited for us to go on this journey together. I
- 5:35Speaker 1: would love to hear do you have a prediction. I've
- 5:37Speaker 1: asked a lot of people in the building, Hey, what
- 5:38Speaker 1: do you guess? What's your thought? And I'm getting a
- 5:40Speaker 1: lot of a lot of girl dad. They people think
- 5:44Speaker 1: I'd be a good girl dad.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Oh, you'd be an excellent girl dad. I mean top
- 5:48Speaker 3: to your girl dad. That's the vibe that I get.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah, so you guys don't know yet if you're having
- 5:53Speaker 2: a boyer.
- 5:53Speaker 4: G I do not know. We'll share it with you
- 5:55Speaker 4: in the end of February.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Oh excited.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So but I've got old boy. Uh, I just want
- 6:02Speaker 1: ten fingers, ten tols. I couldn't care less. I don't
- 6:04Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if it's high, happy, healthy baby. Yes,
- 6:07Speaker 1: but we have names as well, all picked out. So
- 6:10Speaker 1: very very exciting to kind of go on this journey
- 6:11Speaker 1: with you for the foreseeable seven ish months left with
- 6:15Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 6:16Speaker 4: So thank you for all the nice messages.
- 6:17Speaker 5: And texts celebrating life's little victories. Victory every morning we
- 6:25Speaker 5: practice gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 6:28Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 6:30Speaker 4: basket joke busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I just really needed to win, you know, sure, your
- 6:36Speaker 5: little victories with us at seven oh one two, eight
- 6:38Speaker 5: oh one ninety eight seven.
- 6:40Speaker 1: All right, first and foremost, we have to share Emily.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Kudos to Emily, she did it smart here. She said
- 6:45Speaker 1: she had been wanting these shoes forever, but around the
- 6:47Speaker 1: holidays they were kind of expensive. Yeah, of course she
- 6:50Speaker 1: let us know. She found them on sale for way, way,
- 6:54Speaker 1: way cheaper than.
- 6:55Speaker 4: When Leane's gonna.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I mean, there is there anything better than when there's
- 6:59Speaker 1: something you're you really really really want and you're like,
- 7:03Speaker 1: I can't justify spending that much, and then you know,
- 7:05Speaker 1: a couple of weeks later you find out it's way cheaper.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Magical.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Yeah, that happened to me with a tie for my wedding.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Have I ever told you that story?
- 7:13Speaker 3: No?
- 7:13Speaker 1: I wanted this bow tie and I go to this
- 7:15Speaker 1: store and I find one that is perfect, you know.
- 7:17Speaker 4: It's kind of a.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Blue dark blue, silver kind of vibe, and I'm like,
- 7:21Speaker 1: this is exactly what I need. And I look at
- 7:23Speaker 1: it and it was like a seventy dollars bow tie.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I was like, oh no, I'm both ties can be
- 7:28Speaker 3: seventy one.
- 7:30Speaker 1: It was so expensive, So I keep kind of putting
- 7:32Speaker 1: off getting this bow tie for my wedding.
- 7:34Speaker 4: I'm not even kidding you.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Three weeks before the wedding, I'm like all right, I
- 7:37Speaker 1: just got to go buy something. I'll go back to
- 7:39Speaker 1: the store. They had it in there for six dollars.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Stop.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I went from seventy to sixty. I guess that could
- 7:46Speaker 1: be a little victory today. But do you have one, Angie,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I do.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I started.
- 7:51Speaker 2: It's such a small victory, and it's not even a
- 7:54Speaker 2: complete victory. But I started unpacking from my trip that
- 7:59Speaker 2: it took last week.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Well, there you go. Hey, there's nothing wrong with getting
- 8:02Speaker 4: a little reset for a couple of times.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I usually don't unpack for a couple of weeks, right,
- 8:08Speaker 2: and I started unpacking. What helped does that? Before I left?
- 8:12Speaker 2: My mom did all of my vacation laundry for me
- 8:15Speaker 2: and packed it nicely.
- 8:16Speaker 4: There you go.
- 8:16Speaker 2: So all I have to do is really just take
- 8:18Speaker 2: it from the suitcase and put it in drawers.
- 8:21Speaker 3: And I'm halfway there.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I'd say, that's awesome. Least you got the process started.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm trying to be better in twenty twenty.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it's about the It's about the the adventure, not
- 8:30Speaker 1: the destiny.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why excited to say it's the climb.
- 8:34Speaker 4: That's right.
- 8:35Speaker 1: My little victory is very very simple and very easy.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Today we get to have Flannel Friday together, our first
- 8:40Speaker 1: one of twenty twenty six. Oh yeah, I've done the
- 8:43Speaker 1: last couple Fridays without you.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I know, I was gone. I'm sorry, I know.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So it's just nice to have you in the building
- 8:48Speaker 1: with a flannel on. Thankfully, our buddy Dave who works
- 8:52Speaker 1: over on the Fox, he uh was kind of the
- 8:54Speaker 1: backup last week, and oh yeah, I stop in my heart.
- 8:57Speaker 1: But he did wear a flannel last Friday, so I
- 8:59Speaker 1: have someone with me. So but I'm glad you're back,
- 9:02Speaker 1: our first Flannel Friday of twenty twenty six. Ninety eight points.
- 9:09Speaker 3: You know what's that out here for everyone? It's hard
- 9:13Speaker 3: out here for everyone these days. I saw this survey or.
- 9:16Speaker 2: This research study whatever that two thirds of Americans.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Have hot a side hustle to help make ends meet.
- 9:25Speaker 3: And I hate that.
- 9:25Speaker 2: That's not surprising to me, right because I feel like
- 9:28Speaker 2: these days you kind of have to have a side hustle.
- 9:31Speaker 2: So I asked him the big ninety eight point seven
- 9:33Speaker 2: Facebook page, but also give us a call, text us
- 9:36Speaker 2: seven oh one to two, eight oh one to nine
- 9:37Speaker 2: eighty seven. What is the side hustle you have to
- 9:41Speaker 2: help make ends?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Me.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I feel like I want to do a side hustle,
- 9:45Speaker 2: but I don't want to join OnlyFans. So this is
- 9:49Speaker 2: why I was asking.
- 9:51Speaker 3: We got some good responses.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Randy said that he started his own horse training business.
- 9:57Speaker 4: That sounds kind of fun.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah, what is fun? Side?
- 10:00Speaker 2: So Stephanie said that she's a special event bartender on
- 10:03Speaker 2: the side, and I feel like that's the move gig.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a cool gig.
- 10:07Speaker 4: I wonder if it's one of those hard to get though.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I just it's one of those where I don't even
- 10:11Speaker 2: know how to get it, Like where do you for
- 10:13Speaker 2: a special event?
- 10:14Speaker 3: Where do you apply?
- 10:15Speaker 4: How do you get from step A to b?
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yes?
- 10:17Speaker 4: Yeah, let us know, Stephanie.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 10:21Speaker 2: And then Jim said dishwasher, perfect second job, no stress,
- 10:26Speaker 2: just hustle.
- 10:27Speaker 3: I like that.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I will say that was my first ever. I think,
- 10:31Speaker 1: like real big boy government taking taxes out of my
- 10:34Speaker 1: check job. I was a dishwasher at a restaurant. You were, Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I was sick fifteen sixteen or something like that. There
- 10:41Speaker 1: was something so wonderful about walking in and going I
- 10:45Speaker 1: don't have to think at all. Yeah, okay, I'm about
- 10:49Speaker 1: to just knock out these dishes, and that's it. That
- 10:52Speaker 1: is a good side It was kind of nice to
- 10:54Speaker 1: go in there and literally you could shut your brain off.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Oh gosh, I watched dishes all the time at home
- 10:59Speaker 3: and nobody paying me.
- 11:00Speaker 4: That's a bummer.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a bummer. What's a good side hustle? Let
- 11:06Speaker 3: us know seven oh one two eight oho one to
- 11:08Speaker 3: nine eight seven.
- 11:09Speaker 4: If you could do one, what would you do?
- 11:11Speaker 1: I think I know what I would do, but I
- 11:12Speaker 1: got the idea from one we just heard at the top.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Here you tell me.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I still I'm going through this list on the big
- 11:18Speaker 2: ninety eight points ive on.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Facebook page because they have some great ideas. Yeah, what
- 11:22Speaker 3: would you do?
- 11:23Speaker 4: Who was the horse trainer? That was Brandy? Randy?
- 11:26Speaker 1: If I had to do some kind of side hustle, yeah,
- 11:30Speaker 1: there is part of me on a very individual by
- 11:33Speaker 1: individual basis on my train dogs.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Oh, I think you'd be good at that.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I have done a pretty good job with three dogs
- 11:41Speaker 1: in my life, and I've like kind of helped buddies
- 11:43Speaker 1: out who are like just with tips or ideas or
- 11:46Speaker 1: things I've done. Now, I don't know, Jack squat, Okay,
- 11:50Speaker 1: let me put that out first and foremost, I don't
- 11:53Speaker 1: know what I'm doing. I just try and fail, and
- 11:55Speaker 1: try and fail a lot until I get it right.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Gabe, you might be the dog whisper.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Maybe I think it'd be kind, that'd just be fun.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I think seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 12:04Speaker 1: eight seven. Do you have an idea or a good
- 12:07Speaker 1: side hustle? Maybe you don't want to share it, though,
- 12:09Speaker 1: because everyone else will do it.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I've reached my stalker era, Gabe.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Oh wow, I.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Am officially now a stalker because my ex has a
- 12:26Speaker 2: new girlfriend. Now, I want to be clear. I want
- 12:31Speaker 2: my ex to be happy. He's the father of my children.
- 12:35Speaker 2: The happier he is, the happier our children are. I'm
- 12:38Speaker 2: being moved on with someone else. I'm with Mikey. I
- 12:41Speaker 2: mean literally moved, like I moved away from the state
- 12:43Speaker 2: that we used to live in and I'm in Bargo now.
- 12:45Speaker 3: So I want him to be happy.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I'm glad he has a new girl, but naturally, and
- 12:50Speaker 2: I know I can't be alone in this. I want
- 12:54Speaker 2: to know everything about her and I want to see
- 12:56Speaker 2: what she looks like. So I went into my stock
- 13:00Speaker 2: mode and I found her on Instagram.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I only know her first name. So what I did.
- 13:08Speaker 3: What I did is I know where she works.
- 13:11Speaker 2: So I went to the work the place of businesses Instagram,
- 13:16Speaker 2: went to their followers and looked up her first name
- 13:19Speaker 2: to see if she was there, and then based on
- 13:21Speaker 2: context clues, yes, the I.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Connected the dots.
- 13:24Speaker 2: But her page is private, so all I have is
- 13:28Speaker 2: this little profile picture, and I feel like that's unfair
- 13:31Speaker 2: because my page, by virtue of what I do for
- 13:34Speaker 2: a living, is public. So I know if she's anything
- 13:38Speaker 2: like any other woman I've met in the land. She's
- 13:40Speaker 2: looked me up for sure, sure, and I don't think
- 13:43Speaker 2: it's fair that I haven't. I can't like see and
- 13:45Speaker 2: I can't request her yet because I haven't met her yet.
- 13:48Speaker 2: And so then I had my girlfriends get on the
- 13:51Speaker 2: case and they found her Facebook page. So then I
- 13:54Speaker 2: went to her Facebook page, but all of her I
- 13:57Speaker 2: think she doesn't really use it because all of the
- 13:59Speaker 2: photo that I found on there are from twenty nineteen
- 14:05Speaker 2: or earlier.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Okay, I really am such a stoker.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Okay, So now looking through those photos, she's hot. She's hot,
- 14:15Speaker 2: and I don't know what could have happened between like
- 14:17Speaker 2: twenty nineteen and right now because I think the Instagram photo,
- 14:21Speaker 2: the profile photo, I think is more recent and still hot,
- 14:25Speaker 2: and so.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I'm happy for him that is with a hot girl. However,
- 14:34Speaker 3: can't stop laughing at me. She is hot.
- 14:36Speaker 2: She's hotter than me, for sure, and so I don't
- 14:39Speaker 2: love that, but it is what it is. I don't
- 14:41Speaker 2: think I'm not hot. I just think she's really hot.
- 14:43Speaker 2: And the thing is, I'm going to have to meet
- 14:46Speaker 2: her because my kids are going to go They live
- 14:49Speaker 2: together now, and my kids are going back to stay
- 14:53Speaker 2: with their dad for spring break. So between now and
- 14:56Speaker 2: spring break, I am going to meet her. Either on
- 15:00Speaker 2: a facetimer, I'm gonna fly out there for the weekend.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I'll know, yabe, but I have to look impossibly beautiful.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I have heard a little bit of this story already,
- 15:09Speaker 1: and I love this for you. You what do I
- 15:12Speaker 1: always say? I always say it here on Big ninety
- 15:14Speaker 1: eight point seven two. But it's good to go through
- 15:17Speaker 1: some adversity. I think this is gonna make you a tougher, stronger,
- 15:22Speaker 1: better human. No that's saying, but it's good to go
- 15:29Speaker 1: through some adversity. Whenever you know, someone maybe has a
- 15:34Speaker 1: little bump in the road and it seems like an
- 15:37Speaker 1: absolute tragedy in your life. All this does is makes
- 15:42Speaker 1: you tougher two three, four, five months down the road, Angie,
- 15:46Speaker 1: I think you should look at this as an opportunity,
- 15:49Speaker 1: as the great Socrates once said.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Okay, oh god, I know you don't know what Socrates
- 15:54Speaker 2: has ever said, but go ahead, Gabe.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Okay.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Things in your life, they don't happen to you, Okay,
- 16:00Speaker 1: they happen for you.
- 16:01Speaker 4: This is a benefit.
- 16:02Speaker 1: You need to pull a one point eighty here and
- 16:05Speaker 1: think of all the positive that will come from this.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I can't say a positive that will come from me
- 16:11Speaker 2: meeting someone hotter than me and then me.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Feeling better seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 16:17Speaker 1: eight seven. Don't lie, Angie is not alone in this
- 16:20Speaker 1: in her stocker era. Have you ever had to go
- 16:23Speaker 1: down the old social media rabbit hole to track down
- 16:26Speaker 1: maybe an ex's new partner, or maybe just someone who
- 16:30Speaker 1: you thought was cute at Target and you heard his
- 16:33Speaker 1: or her name and you were trying your best to
- 16:36Speaker 1: track him down. What was your most interesting stalker era?
- 16:40Speaker 1: Let us know here this morning on Big ninety eight
- 16:42Speaker 1: point seven, and you can be happy knowing Angie's gonna
- 16:45Speaker 1: go through some adversity and be a tougher human at
- 16:47Speaker 1: the end of the day.
- 16:51Speaker 4: This is am I the problem. It's me, hill On
- 16:56Speaker 4: the problem.
- 16:57Speaker 3: It's me.
- 16:58Speaker 5: We'll hear one side of the story and with your
- 17:00Speaker 5: help probably decide if it's right or if maybe you're
- 17:06Speaker 5: the problem.
- 17:06Speaker 3: That's right, I am the problem.
- 17:09Speaker 4: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 17:12Speaker 2: We had Gabriella rite into us and don't let her name.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Just have you be on her side.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Gaze instantly. Right.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Oh, okay, good morning, Gabe and Angie.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Hope you are well. We are.
- 17:26Speaker 2: My husband is upset with me because I've stopped wearing
- 17:28Speaker 2: my wedding ring to the gym. A few months ago,
- 17:31Speaker 2: I injured my finger when my ring got caught on
- 17:34Speaker 2: a weight, and my trainer warned me rings can be
- 17:36Speaker 2: really dangerous during lifting. Since then, I leave my ring
- 17:40Speaker 2: at home while I'm at the gym. The other day,
- 17:43Speaker 2: my husband accused me of never wearing it because I'm
- 17:45Speaker 2: trying to look single at the gym. I reminded him
- 17:49Speaker 2: we've been married thirteen years and I literally only don't
- 17:52Speaker 2: wear it at the gym because dangerous. He said, if
- 17:55Speaker 2: it was really important to me, I would just be
- 17:58Speaker 2: more careful at the gym. Maybe he has a point.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I wouldn't love it for him to not wear his ring.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Am I the problem here? Gabriella? I hate to side
- 18:09Speaker 2: with Gabe on him just saying you're right because your
- 18:12Speaker 2: name is like his.
- 18:13Speaker 3: But you are correct and you are not the problem.
- 18:17Speaker 2: It is dangerous you shouldn't wear the ring, and I
- 18:21Speaker 2: think your husband is just noticing that you are getting
- 18:25Speaker 2: more and more in shape and he's feeling insecure.
- 18:29Speaker 4: That's right.
- 18:29Speaker 2: He is feeling insecure that if you're at the gym
- 18:33Speaker 2: pumping iron and there's no ring on your finger, that
- 18:36Speaker 2: all the jim batties are gonna flock to you. What
- 18:40Speaker 2: I don't like is that even if you're not wearing
- 18:42Speaker 2: your ring, he should trust that you would say, oh no, sorry,
- 18:46Speaker 2: I'm married. You've been married for thirteen years. I think
- 18:49Speaker 2: it's he's the problem. You're not the problem, girl.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you and I aren't always on the same page here.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I think we're on the same page here completely. Hey dude, relax, Okay,
- 18:58Speaker 1: have you ever seen those you know, those reels where
- 19:02Speaker 1: it'll be like what my husband or what my wife
- 19:04Speaker 1: thinks when I walk out the door without my ring,
- 19:06Speaker 1: and it's just a bunch of chicks like yelling at
- 19:08Speaker 1: this Yes, yes, yes, there is not a flock of
- 19:12Speaker 1: dudes going to this girl at the gym. Maybe one
- 19:16Speaker 1: or two guys here and there. Yeah, you know, And
- 19:19Speaker 1: then that's when you say, Hey, I'm married. I appreciate it.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Can I just do my workout or wear headphones or whatever. Yeah,
- 19:24Speaker 1: there's plenty of alternatives. I will say, they do if
- 19:27Speaker 1: it really was that important to either of you, If
- 19:30Speaker 1: you want him to wear his ring at this thing,
- 19:32Speaker 1: if he wants to whatever, I think that's stupid. But
- 19:35Speaker 1: they do make silicone rings that are a little bit
- 19:39Speaker 1: safer for doing things like this, so if your finger
- 19:42Speaker 1: would get like stuck or caught on something, they're designed
- 19:45Speaker 1: to like tear and they cost like six dollars on Amazon. Rup.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Well, that's right. You wear a silicone ring a lot
- 19:51Speaker 3: of time, Yeah.
- 19:52Speaker 4: A lot.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I have my my my good you know, I don't
- 19:56Speaker 1: know what it is to yeah, I call it my
- 19:58Speaker 1: good one. I have my good ring that I will
- 20:01Speaker 1: wear to other weddings or to dinners or birthdays. Yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 1: celebrations really, But on a day to day basis, I
- 20:07Speaker 1: normally just kind of wear one of those silicone rubber things. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 1: mostly because I just can never get used to the
- 20:14Speaker 1: weight of a steel ring.
- 20:16Speaker 4: I hated it. It drove me nuts.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Symbolic and so I'm kidding.
- 20:19Speaker 4: All right, this weight holding me down.
- 20:22Speaker 1: No, so I normally just kind of wear a silicone
- 20:25Speaker 1: one because it's just more comfortable. Or like I hated
- 20:27Speaker 1: driving with the steel ring on it. I just it
- 20:31Speaker 1: drove me nuts.
- 20:32Speaker 2: You know what, I want you to tell that to
- 20:34Speaker 2: your husband, Gabriella, Say you just hate wearing the ring
- 20:37Speaker 2: because of the weight of mirror.
- 20:39Speaker 1: That's right, Say that thing has been dragging you down
- 20:42Speaker 1: like an anchor.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Okay, seven on one two, eight on one nine eight seven.
- 20:46Speaker 2: What do you think is Gabriella the problem here? Should
- 20:49Speaker 2: she be wearing a ring when she's at the gym
- 20:52Speaker 2: and just.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Be more careful?
- 20:53Speaker 2: Or is her husband being an overreactive little jerk.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Do we know her husband's name?
- 20:59Speaker 1: No, Okay, I'm talking to Gabrielle's Gabrielle's husband right here. Okay, bro,
- 21:03Speaker 1: you need you need to tighten up, all right. Her
- 21:05Speaker 1: hanging on to her finger is a lot more important
- 21:08Speaker 1: than wearing some ring at the gym, alright seven eight
- 21:12Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Gabriella wanted to know if she was the problem because
- 21:22Speaker 2: she doesn't wear her wedding ring at the gym, and
- 21:26Speaker 2: it's because it's dangerous for her to wear it while
- 21:28Speaker 2: she's lifting weights.
- 21:30Speaker 3: She got it caught before and injured her finger.
- 21:33Speaker 2: But now her husband is mad, saying that she never
- 21:35Speaker 2: wears her ring and it's because she's.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Trying to look single at the gym.
- 21:39Speaker 2: She wants to know she's the problem, and y'all had
- 21:42Speaker 2: some thoughts.
- 21:43Speaker 3: We got a text in from a married man who
- 21:47Speaker 3: remained anonymous. Okay, as a married man, I don't wear
- 21:50Speaker 3: my ring at the gym.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I tell my wife I'm leaving it at home and
- 21:54Speaker 2: I will put it on when I get back.
- 21:55Speaker 3: There's no issues. It's called communication. Okay. See I like that.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what this reminds me of So Gabriella,
- 22:03Speaker 1: who was just by default was going to be right
- 22:04Speaker 1: in my book.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Do you remember when Jimmy Fallon had to wear that
- 22:09Speaker 1: bandage on his finger for months and months? He almost
- 22:13Speaker 1: lost his finger because his ring got caught on something. Right, Yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 1: I think if you look up a bunch of those photos. Right,
- 22:20Speaker 1: if people almost losing fingers with rings and show them
- 22:22Speaker 1: to old hubby, understand the I'd rather not go my
- 22:27Speaker 1: life with a new name of Lucky and having nine fingers.
- 22:33Speaker 4: To let that one all right.
- 22:36Speaker 1: There are some other people who have texted in This
- 22:40Speaker 1: person said rings and weights don't mix, Jim. Safety comes first,
- 22:44Speaker 1: marriage status isn't defined by jewelry.
- 22:47Speaker 4: That's very true. Safety comes first at the.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Gym, and then you know, other than the actual potential
- 22:52Speaker 1: accident that could come with losing a finger, you got
- 22:55Speaker 1: to cancel your gym membership and go to a gym
- 22:57Speaker 1: in a different state. You don't want to be known
- 22:59Speaker 1: as the person at the gym almost lost their fingers
- 23:01Speaker 1: for me, Yeah, that's embarrassing. Do you know when I
- 23:04Speaker 1: get home, I don't wear a ring?
- 23:06Speaker 6: Well, yeah, because your wife is there, right, Well, if
- 23:09Speaker 6: you're married, Well it's just like if I'm doing house
- 23:12Speaker 6: chores or I guess something in the garage or whatever,
- 23:15Speaker 6: I don't want to deal with having a ring on
- 23:17Speaker 6: when I get home, I put my ring just kind
- 23:19Speaker 6: of buy my wallet, you know, so when I leave
- 23:20Speaker 6: the house, it's kind of phone, wallet, keys ring And
- 23:24Speaker 6: if I forget it, you know whatever.
- 23:25Speaker 2: But my first marriage, I always feels weird to say
- 23:29Speaker 2: my first one.
- 23:30Speaker 3: I just assume there will be a second one.
- 23:32Speaker 2: But my ring, I was sorting donations at a toy
- 23:35Speaker 2: drive and it was just a little bit too loose
- 23:38Speaker 2: and it came off and I never found it again.
- 23:40Speaker 2: So somebody, yeah, in a toy drive got a ring
- 23:43Speaker 2: like it's not I shouldn't have been wearing it right now.
- 23:47Speaker 1: There are some people, though, who did understand the hobby's side.
- 23:52Speaker 1: This person said, I get why he's hurt. It probably
- 23:54Speaker 1: feels symbolic, even if that's not her intent. So his
- 23:58Speaker 1: feelings is what she's saying. You know, they can't be justified.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Maybe it's important to him, and you know, there's a communication.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Is the biggest thing here.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Okay, I guess.
- 24:08Speaker 2: No, it's nice when we see the other person's perspective too.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yeah, And then another person said, if something bothers your
- 24:16Speaker 1: spouse spouse that much, it's worth finding a compromise.
- 24:20Speaker 4: So wow, we all think it is silly.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You know, maybe for him it's a big deal and
- 24:26Speaker 1: it really shouldn't be.
- 24:27Speaker 4: I don't think would you agree with that?
- 24:29Speaker 2: I don't think it's a big deal at all, but
- 24:31Speaker 2: there is something to if it's really important to your spouse,
- 24:33Speaker 2: find a compromise.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Our poor Angie had a worst case scenario where she
- 24:41Speaker 1: went to go to her mailbox and she has one
- 24:43Speaker 1: of those shared mailboxes. I also have one of those
- 24:45Speaker 1: as well, where there's a great sadly a sewer great
- 24:49Speaker 1: right below it, and a key fell down the sewer, Like.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Who planned that?
- 24:53Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 24:54Speaker 1: Who planned That's we couldn't have moved the mailbox too feet.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I have no idea, and I can't have been
- 25:01Speaker 2: the first person that this has happened to in that neighborhood, right,
- 25:05Speaker 2: But I have to go My mail is piling up.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I had this happened right before the New year, and
- 25:10Speaker 2: then I went out of town, so I got to
- 25:11Speaker 2: go to the post office today to get a new key.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Have you ever dropped something that sadly feels like it
- 25:19Speaker 1: fell into the abyss and it's never to be seen again, Rachel,
- 25:25Speaker 1: And this is pretty common, I think, But she dropped
- 25:27Speaker 1: her wedding ring straight down the bathroom sink while washing
- 25:31Speaker 1: her hands, and she sadly just stood there staring into
- 25:35Speaker 1: the drain in silence. Now, I have heard of people
- 25:38Speaker 1: dropping rings down the sink and they get caught in
- 25:40Speaker 1: a little trap and they are able to get them back. Rachel,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I hope you were able to get that back. This
- 25:46Speaker 1: one was from Ryan. He said, had my sunglasses on
- 25:50Speaker 1: my head, leaned over the boat and watched them slide
- 25:53Speaker 1: right into the water two hundred dollars gone.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I've witnessed that, and so I never get expended of
- 26:00Speaker 2: sunglasses because I always think, oh, yeah, that would be me.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Well, you know what's really funny, the second you have
- 26:06Speaker 1: expensive sunglasses, instantly the odds of your you losing them
- 26:10Speaker 1: shoot up to like ninety five percent.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 1: If Ryan's sunglasses would have cost four five twenty bucks
- 26:16Speaker 1: something like that, they would have.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Fallen into the water.
- 26:20Speaker 1: A trout would have grabbed those and jumped them back
- 26:23Speaker 1: into the boat. For Ryan, I am a one hundred
- 26:26Speaker 1: percent convinced that's how it works. You only lose expensive sunglass.
- 26:30Speaker 2: You know what that's true. If it's expensive, then it's
- 26:33Speaker 2: a problem. Because my mail key not expensive, but it
- 26:36Speaker 2: was attached to my carfob.
- 26:38Speaker 3: And that thing's like three hundred dollars.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Those are expensive.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I have one more for you have to share with
- 26:43Speaker 1: you because I've never heard of anything like this, and
- 26:44Speaker 1: I can only imagine the crunching sound from this garbage disposal.
- 26:50Speaker 4: What's your name? Sorry, I can't find your name. It
- 26:52Speaker 4: is Matt.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Matt said, knocked my keys into the sink while doing
- 26:57Speaker 1: the dishes. Garbage disposal eight them before I could react.
- 27:02Speaker 4: I can hear the crunching sound. Oh my god, that's.
- 27:07Speaker 2: And you can't reach in. Because what's more important, your
- 27:09Speaker 2: father or your hand?
- 27:14Speaker 6: I need some.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Good starting off the day with something good. This is
- 27:20Speaker 5: Gabe's good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Gabe's good News of the day today is very exciting
- 27:27Speaker 1: because Angie and I know this lady personally. She actually
- 27:31Speaker 1: works with my wife. Her name is Abby Teelan and
- 27:34Speaker 1: she wrote a children's book. This book is called The
- 27:39Speaker 1: Good Treat Gang. Small Pause and Big Hearts. When the
- 27:44Speaker 1: Annual Good Snack Festival is in jeopardy, it's up to Winnie, Murph,
- 27:49Speaker 1: Gooby and Marbles and Jack excuse me to save the
- 27:52Speaker 1: day with teamwork, creativity, and plenty of heart. The Good
- 27:56Speaker 1: Treat Gang proves that even the smallest pause can make
- 27:59Speaker 1: the I guess differences. So Abby once again, she works
- 28:04Speaker 1: with my wife. It's Corey's friend. That's kind of how
- 28:05Speaker 1: I know her. She brought us this book yesterday that
- 28:09Speaker 1: she wrote and with a big announcement of me being
- 28:13Speaker 1: a dad coming up here, my wife being pregnant. These books,
- 28:17Speaker 1: they kind of just hit me a little bit different.
- 28:18Speaker 1: So it's so cool to see this and read through it,
- 28:20Speaker 1: and read through it from the eyes of a parent
- 28:24Speaker 1: as opposed to some crabby thirty five year old.
- 28:26Speaker 2: This is so cute because now you have your first
- 28:29Speaker 2: book to read it to your child, to the Gaby baby.
- 28:34Speaker 1: If you happen to have young kids and you're looking
- 28:37Speaker 1: for a book, this is a very very cool book,
- 28:39Speaker 1: very very easy obviously for kids to read and digest,
- 28:42Speaker 1: filled with tons of pictures in it. And it is
- 28:45Speaker 1: available wherever you get your books, all right. It is
- 28:47Speaker 1: called The Good Treat Gang. Small pause, big hearts. Once again,
- 28:52Speaker 1: that's Abby Teelan. And if you want, you know, you
- 28:55Speaker 1: can support someone right here in the FM area who
- 28:58Speaker 1: wrote her own kids book. And we I don't know
- 29:00Speaker 1: why I can share this or not? Can we share
- 29:02Speaker 1: that it might be a series.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Oh well, you just shared it.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Well, sorry, it might be a series, as she had
- 29:09Speaker 1: talked about potentially doing some more. I think I could
- 29:12Speaker 1: say that, which is just really cool. So check that
- 29:15Speaker 1: out if you have kids, and I have my very
- 29:17Speaker 1: first kid's book.
- 29:18Speaker 4: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 29:20Speaker 4: find one, you gotta be one.
