- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to another episode of the Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Today's a girl talk podcast. I have Stephanie and Jackie
- 0:13Speaker 2: from the She's All Batch podcast. They're the two hosts
- 0:17Speaker 2: who I feel like do the juicy scoop when it
- 0:21Speaker 2: comes to the Bachelor. You guys always get me with
- 0:24Speaker 2: your teases. Your your social media teases are so good
- 0:27Speaker 2: and I love this. I love this. You guys are
- 0:31Speaker 2: not afraid to say certain things because you have no
- 0:34Speaker 2: ties to the Bachelor franchise. You don't have to be
- 0:37Speaker 2: on your best behavior. You don't have to meet people
- 0:40Speaker 2: if you don't want to ever meet them, You can
- 0:43Speaker 2: literally talk all the shit you want. Yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 3: True, we're very unfiltered in that way. It's such an
- 0:50Speaker 3: honor to hear that. You think we get like such
- 0:52Speaker 3: juicy clips and interviews and stuff. That's what we have
- 0:55Speaker 3: been trying to do over the years. But yeah, we agreed.
- 1:00Speaker 3: We sometimes can say whatever we want because we don't
- 1:02Speaker 3: have to meet these people. The problem comes in sometimes
- 1:04Speaker 3: when then we do and they're like you said about
- 1:07Speaker 3: me on this podcast, this is this that I'm like, Oh,
- 1:09Speaker 3: my god, I'm sorry, I forgot that sometimes Bachelor people
- 1:12Speaker 3: also then listen.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Now, I will say we do like to obviously be
- 1:17Speaker 4: fair and like we try to obviously keep that in mind,
- 1:19Speaker 4: and we always tell our listeners too, like, this is
- 1:23Speaker 4: about an edit on a TV show.
- 1:24Speaker 5: It is a tiaving show.
- 1:25Speaker 4: At the end of the day, we almost talk about
- 1:27Speaker 4: it like characters, because it is characters. They're not, you know,
- 1:32Speaker 4: we're watching a scripted not a scripted TV show, but
- 1:35Speaker 4: an edited TV show obviously, so we we like to
- 1:38Speaker 4: keep that in mind.
- 1:40Speaker 2: All right, So we want to talk about Bachelor on
- 1:42Speaker 2: a macro level on this podcast, basically talk about all
- 1:46Speaker 2: the things that Ben and I pepper into episodes throughout
- 1:50Speaker 2: the year. Right, I think the number one question is
- 1:55Speaker 2: when did the show go awry? Why did it get
- 1:59Speaker 2: off the hinge after it seemed to be recovering after
- 2:03Speaker 2: Joey's season. After Joey's season was like, we are back
- 2:06Speaker 2: on track, we are a great show. There are tiktoks
- 2:09Speaker 2: and memes being made about the Bachelor, how hot and
- 2:12Speaker 2: charming he is, and now all of a sudden, we
- 2:15Speaker 2: cancel Bachelorette for the season because you don't have enough
- 2:20Speaker 2: spark in the franchise. What's going on in your opinions?
- 2:24Speaker 3: What is going on? Maybe you know more than us, No.
- 2:26Speaker 2: No, no, no, I talk about this all the time.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I need to know from the outsider perspective.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Well, but wasn't there some deadline article that, Yeah, the
- 2:34Speaker 3: reason why Bachelot actually isn't coming back is because there
- 2:37Speaker 3: was drama with producers and stuff and that they weren't
- 2:40Speaker 3: able to kind of agree on like a vision.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yes, there seems to be that. Yeah, it seems to
- 2:46Speaker 2: be more about casting than it was about ratings.
- 2:50Speaker 4: We heard your tea about the Rachel, Rekia and Maria.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Well, what's interesting about the Rachel thing is Rachel texted
- 3:00Speaker 2: after that podcast and she goes, I didn't hear from
- 3:02Speaker 2: them whatsoever, So that may have been behind the scenes rumblings,
- 3:06Speaker 2: like as in the producers were considering her, but she
- 3:11Speaker 2: didn't get the word yet because like they weren't agreeing.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Interesting, my take is that, like, I'm really excited that
- 3:18Speaker 4: they're shaking up Bachelor in Paradise, with Jesse saying that
- 3:21Speaker 4: in two weeks they're going to let us know like
- 3:24Speaker 4: what they're really doing with Bachelor in paradise and how
- 3:26Speaker 4: it's going to be different. I do think it's time
- 3:28Speaker 4: for them to shake up this model. And I think
- 3:31Speaker 4: the only reason why they didn't say it about the
- 3:33Speaker 4: Bachelor two is because The Bachelor's currently airing and we're
- 3:36Speaker 4: not going to get another Bachelor season until next year,
- 3:39Speaker 4: and I think by that point maybe they will have
- 3:41Speaker 4: made some changes.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I think that could be they want to make some
- 3:46Speaker 4: changes behind the scenes, and in order to do so,
- 3:49Speaker 4: they maybe need to take a season off to like,
- 3:51Speaker 4: I don't know, higher different people.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Yeah, get in a boardroom and figure out what the
- 3:56Speaker 5: hell they're going to do. But we'll see.
- 3:59Speaker 4: I'm excited for I do think after all this time,
- 4:02Speaker 4: we may need to shake things up a little bit.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And what does that mean to you? Do you have
- 4:06Speaker 2: suggestions to me?
- 4:08Speaker 3: At least I feel like and I feel like we
- 4:10Speaker 3: talk about this a lot too, like the audience has.
- 4:13Speaker 2: We've all been.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Watching reality TV now for years and years and years.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I think the audience gets a lot smarter about some
- 4:19Speaker 3: of the classic tropes of like some frank and biting
- 4:22Speaker 3: or some editing, and we're we always talk on our
- 4:24Speaker 3: podcast and we try to make sure we're like, Okay,
- 4:26Speaker 3: this person said this to this person, but did you
- 4:28Speaker 3: really see them in a two shot? Like what's actually
- 4:30Speaker 3: going on? And I feel like the past few seasons
- 4:33Speaker 3: they lean in a lot to this very forced, manipulated drama,
- 4:38Speaker 3: and I think it would actually be a better experience
- 4:40Speaker 3: if we acknowledge, like, hey, the audience is smart, they
- 4:43Speaker 3: know what's going on, like break the fourth wall a
- 4:44Speaker 3: little bit and kind of let actual genuine drama unfold. Sorry, Stephanie,
- 4:49Speaker 3: I interrupted you there. What were you gonna say? Now?
- 4:51Speaker 4: That honestly a lot of that, But like it is
- 4:53Speaker 4: twenty twenty five, and I feel like they're not really
- 4:56Speaker 4: adapting to the current times.
- 4:57Speaker 5: I do think breaking the fourth wall would hell.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Love to break the fourth wall. Those are the most
- 5:02Speaker 2: exciting moments best.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Yeah, even in the Women Tell All recap that we
- 5:06Speaker 4: just recorded the girls yelling at Carolina and saying like
- 5:09Speaker 4: you shouldn't have pulled Grant at this point.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Because you already had a rose, like all this stuff.
- 5:15Speaker 4: If you are actually taking this seriously, why does it
- 5:18Speaker 4: matter who has a rose?
- 5:19Speaker 5: Like she's just trying to pull the guy and talk
- 5:20Speaker 5: to him.
- 5:21Speaker 4: So I hate, like the rules like, let's actually, if
- 5:24Speaker 4: you're actually going to convince us that these are girls
- 5:26Speaker 4: really trying to date a guy and find a fiance,
- 5:29Speaker 4: then actually do it, but in order to have to
- 5:31Speaker 4: like follow certain rules.
- 5:33Speaker 5: And I don't know, roses are just flowers.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Outside of the bachelor world, So why are we like
- 5:38Speaker 4: treating it any otherwise? Like it's so crazy in this bubble,
- 5:41Speaker 4: and I think we should pop the bubble a little bit.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, and I think that they should. As I've
- 5:47Speaker 2: said so many times before, the audience always thinks are
- 5:50Speaker 2: a broken record, but it's like, we need more funny,
- 5:54Speaker 2: lighthearted moments. We need to show how the date actually
- 5:57Speaker 2: was not just the serious conversations happened for like twenty
- 6:02Speaker 2: percent of it, because I find that you see the
- 6:05Speaker 2: real connection in those moments where Carolina says, will you
- 6:09Speaker 2: make out with me intensely? And then can I smell
- 6:11Speaker 2: your armpits? Which is the weirdest thing, but that's a
- 6:15Speaker 2: freak you get any and obviously like they had a
- 6:18Speaker 2: comfortability in which she can say that, and then it
- 6:22Speaker 2: shows that she's funny, yeah, and then it.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Leads us to then want to be more invested in
- 6:28Speaker 3: these people down the line too. I think sometimes what
- 6:30Speaker 3: I've been struggling with as a fan of the show
- 6:33Speaker 3: is because they're only showing us those very, very small, oh,
- 6:37Speaker 3: let me tell you my trauma moments, and we're not
- 6:40Speaker 3: seeing as much of people's true personalities then as the show.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Once the show ends and the season raps, I'm not
- 6:45Speaker 3: as inclined to like, want to follow, want to keep
- 6:48Speaker 3: up with what they're doing. If they are brought onto
- 6:49Speaker 3: Bachelor in Paradise or if they pull someone from another
- 6:52Speaker 3: season to be a lead, I want to be more
- 6:54Speaker 3: invested in their story, and I think we need to
- 6:56Speaker 3: see more of those authentic, funny moments so that we
- 7:00Speaker 3: are invested, Like I think you're actually a perfect example
- 7:02Speaker 3: of this, actually, because we have seen so many like
- 7:03Speaker 3: authentic moments from you over the years, so people continue
- 7:07Speaker 3: to keep up with you, they listen to your podcast,
- 7:09Speaker 3: they follow you like the contestants. Now we're not getting
- 7:12Speaker 3: the same types of followings in the same it's of
- 7:14Speaker 3: engagement as they were back in your era, and I
- 7:17Speaker 3: think that's part of it.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Like huge differences And yeah, I know, social media and
- 7:22Speaker 2: just following in general is a little less of a
- 7:24Speaker 2: thing these days. You know, like our algorithms aren't designed
- 7:27Speaker 2: as as much for follows. Yeah, but like the difference
- 7:32Speaker 2: is a mens and the difference well chows the decline
- 7:35Speaker 2: in ratings of course, because there's like one fourth of
- 7:38Speaker 2: the audience that we had during my season, so obviously
- 7:41Speaker 2: that's reflected in it. And then I do think there's
- 7:44Speaker 2: just like a general like disinterest in following them beyond
- 7:47Speaker 2: the show, and I think that we need to bring
- 7:50Speaker 2: stuff back, like talking to parrots, Like I think it
- 7:52Speaker 2: was hilarious when they had me talk to a parrot
- 7:54Speaker 2: and that was the parrot was the producer, Like those
- 7:57Speaker 2: are ridiculous in the Red and yeah, yeah, no, Claire
- 8:00Speaker 2: had a raccoon.
- 8:01Speaker 5: I know, but like the same same kind of.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Exactly exactly because so much more fun. Also, like you
- 8:07Speaker 2: know that that's a producer and that makes these conversations
- 8:11Speaker 2: funny too. I know that's just like a paradise thing.
- 8:13Speaker 4: But do some there's like definitely an audience of people
- 8:16Speaker 4: that don't know.
- 8:17Speaker 5: I feel like it's still two days.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very very alarming.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Yeah, no, it's weird because like on our show, we
- 8:25Speaker 4: are Our show is all about like exposing what's really
- 8:28Speaker 4: happening and trying to see the edit behind. That's what
- 8:31Speaker 4: I like to do when I watch the show, like
- 8:33Speaker 4: how did this really unfold? Like even Carolina not to
- 8:36Speaker 4: keep bringing up woman tell All but her walking off stage. Sure,
- 8:38Speaker 4: she may have walked off on her own, but I
- 8:40Speaker 4: can also see a producer on like the Outskirts being like,
- 8:43Speaker 4: come here, you're upset, Come here, let me get you
- 8:46Speaker 4: to get her off, and then they get.
- 8:47Speaker 5: The scene they want.
- 8:48Speaker 4: And I feel like there's still people that see the
- 8:51Speaker 4: show at face value, like when someone gets a bad edit,
- 8:54Speaker 4: they're a bad person. And yeah, there's we like opening
- 8:58Speaker 4: people's eyes to the fact that. But like I think
- 9:00Speaker 4: the real villains sorry every season are producers, not the
- 9:05Speaker 4: people on the show.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Sorry, I don't know if I could say that her
- 9:08Speaker 2: touch has really changed since I've been there. I don't
- 9:09Speaker 2: have a lot of close ties there. It depends. It
- 9:12Speaker 2: depends on who you are talking about. And two and
- 9:16Speaker 2: I have a few there that I do love so
- 9:19Speaker 2: much and I do genuinely think that they care about me,
- 9:22Speaker 2: and nobody can convince me otherwise. Sure, jam yes, really
- 9:29Speaker 2: it's so crazy because last season I saw it again
- 9:33Speaker 2: through like the eyes of being a contestant when I
- 9:37Speaker 2: you know, I signed my friend up Sidney for the show,
- 9:41Speaker 2: and I would have people come at me in my
- 9:45Speaker 2: DMS being like she's like she's a bad person, like
- 9:49Speaker 2: she's this, she's that, like she's evil, she whatever, And
- 9:53Speaker 2: I was like, this is so you guys, I just
- 9:55Speaker 2: need you to like take this a moment to really
- 9:58Speaker 2: think about this. You are DM ing me about my
- 10:01Speaker 2: friend who I've known in real life for two years now,
- 10:04Speaker 2: and you're telling me that what you have seen on
- 10:07Speaker 2: TV and only the clips that you've seen on TV,
- 10:11Speaker 2: means that you know her more than I know her.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Right person, Yeah, you're a bad person for being her friend?
- 10:19Speaker 5: Why don't you know that?
- 10:20Speaker 2: I Luckily I didn't get any of that, which was,
- 10:22Speaker 2: oh really that was surprising actually that I didn't get
- 10:25Speaker 2: more backlash for just being friends with her. But like,
- 10:28Speaker 2: it was crazy how people were like, no, no, like
- 10:31Speaker 2: she's bad, Like you you really think that what you're
- 10:34Speaker 2: seeing on TV is more than what I know of her?
- 10:37Speaker 3: It was.
- 10:37Speaker 2: It was really fun. It was funny honestly for you know,
- 10:40Speaker 2: it was fun for me, and it was not fun
- 10:44Speaker 2: for me to have to her obviously be so sad,
- 10:47Speaker 2: but it was so interesting to see it when they're
- 10:51Speaker 2: not talking about you.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Yeah, those crack me up too, because it's like, Okay,
- 10:57Speaker 3: if she's such a bad person, you are bullying a
- 11:01Speaker 3: stranger on the internet, so like, what does that make you?
- 11:04Speaker 2: Like?
- 11:04Speaker 3: The people who actually go to message these things are like, oh,
- 11:06Speaker 3: that person is a bad person. That person's a bad person.
- 11:09Speaker 3: It's like, okay, but isn't it also kind of bad
- 11:11Speaker 3: to just be sending strangers messages that these people are
- 11:15Speaker 3: bad people. It's just so funny to me.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Yeah, we literally tell people that if you're the type
- 11:19Speaker 4: of person that goes in the comment section and harasses
- 11:22Speaker 4: people from the show because of their edit, like please
- 11:24Speaker 4: don't listen to our podcasts, Like, I just don't support
- 11:27Speaker 4: people that act that way. And they are like the
- 11:30Speaker 4: prime example of the people that don't get it.
- 11:33Speaker 5: They literally think.
- 11:34Speaker 4: The show is what it is and it's not an
- 11:37Speaker 4: edited show.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So what do you guys think about Grant?
- 11:51Speaker 5: He's hot.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I like him.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been pleasantly surprised by Grant. I think for
- 11:58Speaker 3: a lot of the past few seasons, I've felt frustrated
- 12:01Speaker 3: when they announced the lead because I feel like they
- 12:03Speaker 3: haven't done a great job of showing us like contestant's
- 12:07Speaker 3: true personalities when they're on their season. So then they
- 12:09Speaker 3: announced them as the lead, and like, wait, who what
- 12:12Speaker 3: was their situation? So I felt a little bit that
- 12:15Speaker 3: way about Grant. But I feel like I've come to
- 12:17Speaker 3: get to know him. He's so great. All the girls
- 12:19Speaker 3: seem to genuinely really like him, which I think makes
- 12:22Speaker 3: for a much like juicier season because I feel like
- 12:24Speaker 3: people's feelings are real and so yeah, I've been so
- 12:27Speaker 3: pleasantly surprised by him and his season. I've been really
- 12:30Speaker 3: enjoying it.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Okay, So I think he's so good looking, and I
- 12:34Speaker 2: obviously think he's so sweet, and I do really think
- 12:36Speaker 2: that he is there for the right reasons. He really
- 12:39Speaker 2: wants a wife. But I also I don't know that
- 12:43Speaker 2: the girls have been that drawn to him. I don't.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I think they've been very attulity to him, but I
- 12:47Speaker 2: don't know that anyone feels that they've had like really
- 12:50Speaker 2: deep connections that they really lost to great love.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Well, that I think is true, though, because I don't
- 12:55Speaker 3: think Grant is having really deep connections with any of
- 12:58Speaker 3: the girls. I think whoever he ends up with, he
- 13:01Speaker 3: is going to be as in love as he can
- 13:03Speaker 3: be at this phase in his life. But we kind
- 13:05Speaker 3: of were talking about this, like when we're thinking about who.
- 13:08Speaker 3: In my opinion on the two frontrunners, Juliana and Latia,
- 13:11Speaker 3: I feel like he's leaning more towards Juliana, but a
- 13:13Speaker 3: lot of their conversations do seem a little bit more
- 13:17Speaker 3: surface level. Maybe we're not ready for full engagement. We're
- 13:19Speaker 3: going to be like boyfriend girlfriend vibes. But that's where
- 13:21Speaker 3: I feel like Grant is at, Like I believe he
- 13:23Speaker 3: wants a long term girlfriend, but someone like Latia is
- 13:26Speaker 3: kind of more ready to like settle down, have kids,
- 13:28Speaker 3: And I don't know if like Grant is ready to
- 13:30Speaker 3: like have those conversations really not on the show, Okay, Stephanie.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I think he wants a serious girlfriend for sure.
- 13:39Speaker 5: I'm not so buying that.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Like there was a lot of focus this season on like, oh,
- 13:44Speaker 4: we're going to bring all these random kids on the
- 13:46Speaker 4: basketball date because Grant wants kids, so therefore kids have
- 13:49Speaker 4: to be around. But like I'm I don't think a
- 13:52Speaker 4: guy releasing a single called party Girl is looking to
- 13:56Speaker 4: have kids in the.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Near future, Like maybe in a couple of years. I'm
- 13:58Speaker 5: sure he is, I just.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Don't think today, and I'm just not getting serious father
- 14:04Speaker 4: figure vibes today. I'm sure he's going to be a
- 14:07Speaker 4: phenomenal father in a few years, but I just I'm
- 14:11Speaker 4: I'm not buying that too much. And I agree, like
- 14:13Speaker 4: when they announced Grant one, I think ABC did him
- 14:15Speaker 4: dirty with the announcement because like they didn't even did
- 14:18Speaker 4: they didn'tven announce it on TV when they could have,
- 14:21Speaker 4: like they had a show airing, they could have just
- 14:23Speaker 4: like put the promo up and let us all get
- 14:25Speaker 4: excited and did it. Wasn't it that like someone tweeted
- 14:28Speaker 4: it from the show Instagram poster, by the way, and
- 14:31Speaker 4: then their reason was, oh, we did that because we
- 14:34Speaker 4: want all the girls to sign up. But I'm like,
- 14:37Speaker 4: if you wanted more girls to sign up, why wouldn't
- 14:39Speaker 4: you air it on TV where everyone's watching.
- 14:42Speaker 5: It's just nothing makes sense.
- 14:44Speaker 4: I think they kind of did him dirty in the beginning,
- 14:46Speaker 4: but I think he's really held his own and I
- 14:48Speaker 4: think the season's been pretty good.
- 14:51Speaker 5: It's better than past seasons.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Joey aside, No, obviously, no, I mean, honestly, I mean Zach.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I was about to say, I say or not, but like,
- 15:01Speaker 3: for example, I think in Zach's season, I didn't get
- 15:04Speaker 3: the sense that a lot of the girls were that
- 15:07Speaker 3: into him or attracted to him, and that leads to
- 15:11Speaker 3: just more of like a dry season drama wise, whereas
- 15:15Speaker 3: I feel I do feel like all these girls really
- 15:17Speaker 3: like him. What do you think about his potential music career?
- 15:20Speaker 3: Going back to Grid, I.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Was going to ask you guys that because you just
- 15:23Speaker 2: talked about a single. Yeah, it hasn't really crossed my
- 15:27Speaker 2: mind lately. I did think it was very swoony when
- 15:29Speaker 2: he when he played the piano to Alex, And apparently
- 15:32Speaker 2: Alex didn't think it was spoony. She said it was icky.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I know on File five? What wait you thought swoony?
- 15:41Speaker 5: Like smoothing? I was like, wait, is that a cool
- 15:42Speaker 5: word means.
- 15:44Speaker 2: This isn't Ashley word means good? I think because you're like,
- 15:47Speaker 2: it made me, it would make it would have made
- 15:49Speaker 2: me swoon. I would like I wouldn't have really known
- 15:52Speaker 2: how to deal with it, Like I would have been
- 15:54Speaker 2: like probably like beat red, but also like I thought
- 15:57Speaker 2: I was a romantic But apparently you think icky.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Yes, Alex thought it was icky.
- 16:02Speaker 4: She said on The Vile Files that she got the
- 16:04Speaker 4: ick and like that's where it started, and apparently continued
- 16:08Speaker 4: we continued, really, oh.
- 16:10Speaker 5: I don't Maybe I'm misinterpreting.
- 16:11Speaker 2: What I don't know. No, you know more than I do.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Probably not, but I don't know.
- 16:17Speaker 4: I think if a guy honestly in previous seasons, remember
- 16:21Speaker 4: Casey from like Ali Fedotowski's season, and he's like when
- 16:25Speaker 4: I was flying in the helicopter and she's like awkward,
- 16:30Speaker 4: that's kind of what it was like, I think, randomly
- 16:33Speaker 4: singing yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 5: No oh.
- 16:34Speaker 2: She said that if it was a guitar she would
- 16:36Speaker 2: have felt differently. And I guess maybe like that's the
- 16:38Speaker 2: piano girl in me that I'm like, give me some
- 16:41Speaker 2: Taylor Hanson on the piano, and well, yeah.
- 16:44Speaker 3: You know, I would have loved it. I feel like
- 16:46Speaker 3: when men can like play the piano and stuff, it's
- 16:48Speaker 3: like the most attractive. Yeah, I think I would be spooning.
- 16:51Speaker 5: But it wasn't a song.
- 16:52Speaker 2: It was a song. I thought it was a great
- 16:55Speaker 2: song that spot du do dude, yeah, do dude. They
- 16:59Speaker 2: put in all the pre and it got stuck in
- 17:01Speaker 2: my head. Well, it was no party girl.
- 17:03Speaker 3: But party girls just want to live the lyric of
- 17:07Speaker 3: a lifetime.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys, I didn't listen to party girl.
- 17:10Speaker 5: You don't go to my instagram?
- 17:13Speaker 2: Is it good?
- 17:13Speaker 4: It's a nights like this don't come around too often.
- 17:17Speaker 4: She want to party and a key get in, locked
- 17:20Speaker 4: in and.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Then party girls. They all want to live.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Which do you think that he really wants to pursue
- 17:25Speaker 2: a music career?
- 17:26Speaker 4: Well, why else would he release it in January twenty
- 17:29Speaker 4: twenty five.
- 17:29Speaker 2: I know, I'm surprised I let him do that. I'm
- 17:32Speaker 2: really surprised. Same.
- 17:34Speaker 4: And to answer your question, I mean, like what happened
- 17:36Speaker 4: to the days of when someone was aspiring musician? They
- 17:40Speaker 4: were there for the wrong reasons. Now our own bachelor
- 17:42Speaker 4: is allowed to release a single the month that your
- 17:45Speaker 4: own season comes out, Like Jed Wyatt is like cringing somewhere.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 17:50Speaker 4: I don't think it's like really fair and granted, like
- 17:53Speaker 4: you could, granted you could be a guy that like
- 17:56Speaker 4: wants to pursue music. I think the timing is weird.
- 17:59Speaker 4: It's not like your Spotify list was all these past
- 18:02Speaker 4: singles that you've tried in the past. You've always been
- 18:04Speaker 4: into music, you've been trying to make it big, and
- 18:06Speaker 4: it just so happens you're the Bachelor. It was January
- 18:09Speaker 4: twenty five, twenty twenty five, that your first single comes out.
- 18:13Speaker 2: No One is Suspicious. Yeah, it's weird. It's hilarious to
- 18:16Speaker 2: see the difference with Jed and him. Well, Jed had
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah problem wasn't the music?
- 18:21Speaker 3: Okay, going back to the Jed thing. That was kind
- 18:23Speaker 3: of my point is like, did we like Jed's music? No,
- 18:28Speaker 3: not really, but we all knew it was something he
- 18:29Speaker 3: wanted to pursue. And the real reason why people were
- 18:32Speaker 3: so unhappy with Jed was because of the going on
- 18:34Speaker 3: the show with a girlfriend kind of cheating thing. Less
- 18:37Speaker 3: so about the music.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but that got the music got cringy at a
- 18:40Speaker 2: certain point.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Oh for sure. I mean it was like, what was
- 18:42Speaker 3: he played dog jingles? Food jingles? Yeah? Yeah, dog food jingles?
- 18:46Speaker 4: Okay, Ashley on your season though, Britt got harassed because
- 18:51Speaker 4: she had an acting background and everyone's like, oh, you're
- 18:54Speaker 4: just here to be an actress and look at her.
- 18:55Speaker 5: She couldn't be further from the limeline. It's the least
- 19:00Speaker 5: like she wants nothing to do with.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Fame, and everyone was like you you were an actress,
- 19:04Speaker 4: obviously that you're here for the wrong reasons. So I
- 19:07Speaker 4: just feel like we're changing the way we view things here.
- 19:11Speaker 3: But the musicians not also want love. My opinion is
- 19:15Speaker 3: both these can be true. He can be pursuing his
- 19:18Speaker 3: music career because it's a great opportunities on national television,
- 19:20Speaker 3: but also won a long term girlfriend.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Yes, I agree, Yeah, you're totally the timing of it.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Musicians can have love. I think the timing is a
- 19:30Speaker 4: little weird. I also think ABC had to have been
- 19:33Speaker 4: either behind it or approved of it.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Because they well, they definitely approved of it. I think
- 19:38Speaker 2: that they were just I just think that they're making
- 19:40Speaker 2: the strangest decisions and that that's all I have.
- 19:45Speaker 4: And then he's sang multiple times though too, not just
- 19:48Speaker 4: with Alex.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Then the other date, the date it was like two
- 19:51Speaker 5: dates in a row, he was singing, and that's when
- 19:53Speaker 5: all paired together kind and then he.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Wrapped on the plane with Carolina. I think there was
- 19:59Speaker 3: a lot of performance. I don't mind. Yeah, I'm like,
- 20:02Speaker 3: the whole wrong reasons police thing.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I'm not down for that because, like, I think you
- 20:05Speaker 2: could be there for multiple reasons, and I would consider
- 20:08Speaker 2: myself there for multiple reasons. But I think as long
- 20:11Speaker 2: as you actually want to fall in love and get
- 20:13Speaker 2: married one day and one day in the near future,
- 20:16Speaker 2: you're all good to be there. Anyway, what do we
- 20:20Speaker 2: think about fantasy suits next week? Did you hear that
- 20:22Speaker 2: he's celibate? What?
- 20:25Speaker 3: No, I did not hear.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Reality told me that he's been celibate since his last girlfriend,
- 20:29Speaker 2: so he's going on a year, so he's going to
- 20:31Speaker 2: the fantasy suites like this, So maybe Latia is not
- 20:34Speaker 2: going to have to have some awkward moment where she's like, hey,
- 20:37Speaker 2: by the way, like obviously a Mormon. I know that is.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Grant, also DM ing him telling him about his personal.
- 20:44Speaker 2: List, said it somewhere. I hope it's brought up next
- 20:47Speaker 2: week and may and may not. I don't know.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Yeah, why wouldn't they bring it up in the show?
- 20:51Speaker 2: Oh?
- 20:51Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 20:52Speaker 2: It seems like the perfect tease. Oh look, we're getting
- 20:54Speaker 2: a People article. Oh yeah, People dot come is saying
- 20:57Speaker 2: the fantasy suite's a year after being celibate.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Wait, so that that would mean he's a born again virgin, right.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. It's importing.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Does he celeb it by choice or by just a
- 21:07Speaker 3: circumbidance that he hasn't happened to be with someone serious
- 21:11Speaker 3: enough to hook up with them.
- 21:12Speaker 2: He could just walk it anywhere. He could be in
- 21:14Speaker 2: the grocery store and be like, hey, you know, definitely
- 21:20Speaker 2: definitely got to be by choice.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Isn't that also like a dry spell? Like so he's
- 21:24Speaker 4: not trying to not have sex?
- 21:26Speaker 2: No, no, okay, So fantasy suites is really tricky, but
- 21:33Speaker 2: I think I handled myself very well. There was a
- 21:35Speaker 2: lot of kisses, but I do feel like in fantasy
- 21:37Speaker 2: suits I really reserve myself because when you get physically
- 21:42Speaker 2: physical intimacy involved, that changes things you're connection with somebody.
- 21:46Speaker 2: There could be some red flags there and then then
- 21:50Speaker 2: you guys have sex and then everything's wonderful. So I
- 21:53Speaker 2: try to handle myself really well, and I tried to
- 21:55Speaker 2: be really responsible. But he said on the viol Files
- 21:59Speaker 2: that files, yeah, I know. I don'tly know why, I
- 22:02Speaker 2: said one of my best friends saying that word. He
- 22:06Speaker 2: did say on the viol Files that yeah, he's been
- 22:09Speaker 2: celibate for a year, went in with real intentions. He
- 22:15Speaker 2: said he got out of a seven year relationship and
- 22:17Speaker 2: he was hurting, and that he just just seems like
- 22:19Speaker 2: he didn't want to he didn't want to get into
- 22:21Speaker 2: the bed.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Okay, So this wasn't like a lifestyle change.
- 22:26Speaker 2: And no, it wasn't like he was going to be
- 22:28Speaker 2: like a Sean Lowe and like, yeah, it would be
- 22:30Speaker 2: a born again virgin where you're like, yeah, okay, I'm
- 22:32Speaker 2: not going to have sex until like marriage. No, this
- 22:36Speaker 2: is more of like I'm waiting for the responsible and
- 22:39Speaker 2: right moment. M hmm.
- 22:41Speaker 5: Okay, is that in the fantasy Suite?
- 22:44Speaker 2: Is that in the fantasy Suite? It sounds as if no,
- 22:47Speaker 2: just listening to his quotes here, right.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Well, bummer, I was looking for I was kind of
- 22:54Speaker 4: looking forward to like a Maddie Prue Peter Webber situation
- 22:58Speaker 4: where she gives.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Him the ultimatum and he doesn't know what to do.
- 23:01Speaker 5: I feel like that. I mean, he says in.
- 23:03Speaker 4: The preview, look forward to my demise or stay tuned
- 23:05Speaker 4: for my demise.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think I know what that is. Oh what,
- 23:10Speaker 2: let's just say we have intel where you cannot release
- 23:12Speaker 2: any sources. It may not be true. There might be
- 23:16Speaker 2: a coin, there might not be a coin. There might
- 23:18Speaker 2: be a coin that's never aired or whatever. If there
- 23:25Speaker 2: was a coin flip, let's just say.
- 23:27Speaker 4: There's a coin flip. That's what I'm taking from this,
- 23:30Speaker 4: I know, but I don't know.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Okay, sure, but if there was, is this even something
- 23:35Speaker 2: that they would air because it would villainize him like
- 23:37Speaker 2: no other I believe No.
- 23:39Speaker 5: They would not air that. But that's crazy. If that actually.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Happened, I wouldn't they air it? It would villainize him,
- 23:45Speaker 3: but would make for great television. Well, since when do
- 23:48Speaker 3: they care about protecting their leads and not villainizing them.
- 23:51Speaker 3: I feel like, true, they've had some Bachelor like the
- 23:53Speaker 3: way they treated Clayton. I'm like, I don't know. They
- 23:58Speaker 3: like to make a villain out of a lead.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I feel could you imagine being a woman and realizing
- 24:12Speaker 2: that you got proposed to because of a flip of
- 24:14Speaker 2: a coin?
- 24:15Speaker 5: No, And which is why I think there's a chance
- 24:18Speaker 5: that granted single.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Okay, because after the fact she would find out that
- 24:22Speaker 2: she was chosen with the flip of a coin.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Yeah, or realizing that it was so like frivolous one
- 24:28Speaker 3: or the other. Yeah, that he wasn't as sure as
- 24:30Speaker 3: maybe he was saying.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Do you think if you're that torn, that perhaps neither
- 24:36Speaker 2: person is your person.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Yes, correct, I do think so. Maybe it's a crazy
- 24:43Speaker 3: concept to go on a reality TV show and in
- 24:45Speaker 3: six weeks get engaged to someone you barely know.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like Tenley said not to be so
- 24:51Speaker 4: oj But like Tenley said that to Jake because he's like, oh,
- 24:53Speaker 4: it was a really close call between you and Vienna,
- 24:56Speaker 4: and she's like, well, I'm glad that I'm not Vienna then,
- 24:58Speaker 4: because if it was that close, I don't want to
- 25:00Speaker 4: be the girl that you chose.
- 25:01Speaker 5: And it's like accurate.
- 25:03Speaker 4: Yeah, And just to know, the whole poll this whole
- 25:05Speaker 4: season was he doesn't know which one he's going to
- 25:08Speaker 4: pick between the two girls, Like there is one girl
- 25:11Speaker 4: he does pick, though, and how do you think she.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Feels exactly, which is why we have to predict that
- 25:17Speaker 2: if he's with the girl, it's not a solid relationship
- 25:20Speaker 2: right now. And even if there's no dramatic way in
- 25:24Speaker 2: which she chooses the girl, it definitely seemed as if
- 25:28Speaker 2: there's some reason that the audience isn't going to love
- 25:31Speaker 2: him at the end.
- 25:34Speaker 5: There's like no way they will show him flipping a coin.
- 25:38Speaker 5: That is maybe a mockery.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Maybe I know, I know. Maybe I'm just coming up
- 25:43Speaker 2: with that at the top of my head.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Boy, that it's like classic. The promo is trying to
- 25:48Speaker 3: trick us and make us think something is more dramatic,
- 25:51Speaker 3: Like how many times has Jesse Palmer said to me,
- 25:53Speaker 3: this is the most dramatic ending ever and guess what
- 25:56Speaker 3: it wasn't Like. I sometimes get really skeptical about what
- 25:59Speaker 3: they show us in the promo, what they tease. Maybe
- 26:01Speaker 3: it's nothing, is that possible?
- 26:03Speaker 4: Or this is behind the scenes te He's not flipping
- 26:06Speaker 4: a coin in the promo.
- 26:08Speaker 2: You would think if it was a coin thing, that
- 26:09Speaker 2: they would like have this dramatic moment in which like
- 26:13Speaker 2: a coin hits a hand or like a coin hits
- 26:15Speaker 2: the floor.
- 26:17Speaker 5: And they're like, why is he flipping the coin?
- 26:21Speaker 2: And then like in real and normal bachelor seasons, it
- 26:25Speaker 2: would be like part of a group date and then
- 26:26Speaker 2: you'd be like, oh my yeah, that coin flip is
- 26:29Speaker 2: part of a group date. They had to decide who
- 26:30Speaker 2: went first.
- 26:32Speaker 3: I know exactly that like trickery that I'm always looking
- 26:36Speaker 3: out for.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Who knows, we'll see I guess I want to end
- 26:41Speaker 2: this by asking you guys, who your prediction is that, Well, okay,
- 26:46Speaker 2: let's pretend it's not a coin flip. Who do you
- 26:48Speaker 2: think that he actually has a stronger connection with And
- 26:51Speaker 2: will Letia's Mormon faith play a role in his selection,
- 26:55Speaker 2: because to me, she's the front runner, She's the greatest
- 26:58Speaker 2: connection he has. But perhaps it's all too intense for
- 27:03Speaker 2: him when it comes down to it.
- 27:06Speaker 3: That's actually kind of exactly how I feel. I think
- 27:08Speaker 3: he's going to pick Juliana. I agree that Lytia is
- 27:13Speaker 3: an incredibly strong connection as well, but I do think
- 27:16Speaker 3: like the back ground of Lytia and going into her
- 27:19Speaker 3: Mormon faith and just the fact that she seems so
- 27:21Speaker 3: ready to want to like have a family immediately, and
- 27:24Speaker 3: I think Juliana is maybe a little bit more in
- 27:26Speaker 3: the phase of life that grantson where she would like
- 27:28Speaker 3: to have a really long engagement or date long term,
- 27:31Speaker 3: Like Juliana just seems like the better fit for right now.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Yeah, the age difference between Juliana and Lytia makes a
- 27:39Speaker 2: difference too, because you know, Lytia is thirty one, she's Mormon,
- 27:42Speaker 2: she's ready to do this, and Juliana will give him
- 27:45Speaker 2: a little bit more.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Eas But maybe that's the right choice for him because
- 27:50Speaker 4: he has a new song out called party Girl, and
- 27:53Speaker 4: maybe that's he wants a long term girlfriend that he
- 27:55Speaker 4: can go to the club with.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Right, so he would pick Julia's not go into the
- 27:59Speaker 2: club with Latia. Latti is not going to go to
- 28:01Speaker 2: the clo.
- 28:01Speaker 5: No, no, I'm saying Juliana. I'm saying, like I do.
- 28:05Speaker 4: I agree Latia is probably that I would choose Lytia
- 28:08Speaker 4: and I want to date Lya, But like I think
- 28:11Speaker 4: he'll choose Juliana and maybe that will be the better
- 28:14Speaker 4: fit long term because of what he really is looking
- 28:18Speaker 4: for right now, and then he can then pursue Latia
- 28:21Speaker 4: later when he wants marriage.
- 28:24Speaker 3: What's the coin? And he's like, all right, Juliana for now,
- 28:29Speaker 3: I'll get serious with Latina in three years.
- 28:31Speaker 2: It's perfect. All right. Well, ladies, this was really fun.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Please come back again and we can have some more
- 28:37Speaker 2: fun speculating about coin tosses in the future of the franchise.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Until then, though, I've been Ashley, I've been Stephanie, I've
- 28:47Speaker 2: been Jackie. Thanks forgetting it, guys, We'll see you next time.
