- 1:24Keri Croft: Hey there, you beautiful badass.
- 1:26Keri Croft: Badass.
- 1:29Keri Croft: Welcome to the Carrie Croft Show.
- 1:31Keri Croft: Morning to you, my friend.
- 1:34Keri Croft: Welcome to a solo cast with yours truly.
- 1:39Keri Croft: I am doing, I think it's it's uh clear that I'm doing a terrible job keeping up with solo casting.
- 1:46Keri Croft: It's uh definitely something I feel like I should probably do more of so that I can get everything that's going on out of my head and like my ripple and into your ear holes.
- 1:59Keri Croft: Get so caught up and so busy.
- 2:01Keri Croft: There is so much happening.
- 2:05Keri Croft: And I know that's not just me.
- 2:09Keri Croft: I know that you're probably, you know, racing to get to work or drop the kids off or get the groceries, or I'm sure you're doing something right now that um, you know, is part of your daily grind or schedule.
- 2:24Keri Croft: So thank you so much for taking the time to listen to me ramble on for a moment.
- 2:29Keri Croft: So I do just wanna, I just wanna update you.
- 2:32Keri Croft: And, you know, nothing I really ever do on this for good, bad, or indifferent.
- 2:39Keri Croft: I don't usually like have a script.
- 2:42Keri Croft: I think about what I'm gonna say or whatever, but like this is just gonna come straight from the hip, straight from the heart, and straight from my head.
- 2:48Keri Croft: If you're paying attention at all, then you know that our second build IRL took place last Thursday night.
- 2:57Keri Croft: And, you know, there's so much to say about what happened on Thursday.
- 3:05Keri Croft: And it's similar to what happened at the first IRL, which was called In Her Badass Era.
- 3:12Keri Croft: Um, but now that we have the actual um brand name Build, we are transitioning the IRLs to Build.
- 3:20Keri Croft: More on that in a moment.
- 3:24Keri Croft: But I'm basically, I don't want to say I'm a one-man show because I have a really incredible team of people around me, part-time.
- 3:33Keri Croft: So people, you know, from Sylvia to Kate to Kelsey to Nick, I have a team, but a lion's share of this event and the production and everything that goes into it for these past two events, I basically have manhandled it.
- 3:54Keri Croft: And just a little bit of conversation around, you know, the IRL and how the IRL has been such a it's been a labor of love, but I think more than anything for me, it's I wanted to prove something.
- 4:14Keri Croft: So I wanted to prove to myself, you know, what's the what's I didn't have anything necessarily on the horizon where I'm like, this is really gonna scare me right now.
- 4:23Keri Croft: It's really gonna challenge me.
- 4:24Keri Croft: I'll be out of my depth.
- 4:25Keri Croft: And so the IRL was this logical next thing that was like, okay, we can continue to build community here, bring people together and really cultivate this, whatever this thing is, this collision of mental athleticism, badassery, and business strategy.
- 4:42Keri Croft: And, you know, how the hell are you gonna pull that off?
- 4:45Keri Croft: And so the second one, the, you know, it was so much fun.
- 4:50Keri Croft: It was, it was a lot, a lot of effort and energy.
- 4:53Keri Croft: And I just want to say right now, if there's anyone that's listening to this that is in the event planning space arena, my God, I gotta give you like, I mean, just slow clap kudos to you because what a wild, unpredictable, fluid, crazy thing it is to plan an event.
- 5:19Keri Croft: Um, I mean, for it's it's it's just it's there's so much to consider um when you're planning an event.
- 5:29Keri Croft: And it's, you know, to do it well and and to put a bow on it and really have it be meaningful and valuable for people.
- 5:39Keri Croft: Um, my hat is just off to you because wow, it's just really like I don't even know.
- 5:46Keri Croft: I I've got a lot of lessons learned from these first two IRLs.
- 5:53Keri Croft: And I will say, um, the first thing is like give myself grace, right?
- 5:59Keri Croft: You have to give yourself grace, pat yourself on the back, and say, you did that.
- 6:03Keri Croft: And you did that basically single-handedly.
- 6:07Keri Croft: And so let's, you know, what would I say to someone else that just pulled off something like that twice in a row?
- 6:13Keri Croft: I'd be like, okay, you're that's a pretty badass thing you just did.
- 6:16Keri Croft: Since it's me, I have a tendency to analyze and overanalyze and try to figure out, you know, poke the holes and you know what went wrong.
- 6:29Keri Croft: And I mean, part of that's good.
- 6:30Keri Croft: Part of that's, you know, continuing to want to refine the process.
- 6:35Keri Croft: But the big takeaway from this last IRL is I need, I need help.
- 6:42Keri Croft: I need more help.
- 6:43Keri Croft: Um, I really don't love that it kind of feels like I'm at my own like wedding or something.
- 6:52Keri Croft: You know, when you, when you get married or if there was like an event that that you've had that was kind of like centered around you, you don't get a chance to to really talk to people and have a full conversation.
- 7:03Keri Croft: And for me, it defeats the whole purpose because that's really what I'm doing.
- 7:08Keri Croft: You know, once you buy a ticket to this thing, I'm talking to you.
- 7:12Keri Croft: I'm I'm dripping out emails that, you know, kind of come from my heart teeing things up and really wanting this to be a special experience for you.
- 7:23Keri Croft: And then I felt like I wasn't able to do that, which part of it is, you know, again, um just the way that it works when it's a situation like that.
- 7:32Keri Croft: Plus, you have the live show and you have a lot of things going on.
- 7:35Keri Croft: But make no mistake, we will have an IRL three, and that will be in April, more than likely.
- 7:43Keri Croft: I'm also questioning if we need a bigger space.
- 7:46Keri Croft: You know, there's there's a lot of things for a different, for a different day and things that you don't even really need to know about.
- 7:51Keri Croft: But if you were at the IRL, you will be getting an email that has it like a little questionnaire where we're gonna ask questions like what went well, what do you want changed, what would be the ideal situation?
- 8:04Keri Croft: Because really it's about you.
- 8:06Keri Croft: It's about the female builder who is looking for a room, an exceptional room, that actually addresses the whole human.
- 8:19Keri Croft: Um, and I guess this is a good time to just start talking about build, you know.
- 8:23Keri Croft: So build B-Y-L-D is the go forward name of this brand, this brain child.
- 8:30Keri Croft: And it was the B Lab for those of you who have been following.
- 8:34Keri Croft: And the B Lab ended up, there were some trademark issues, and then I kind of was like, meh, I like the name, but I'm not gonna fight for the name.
- 8:41Keri Croft: And it was just kind of not the name.
- 8:45Keri Croft: So then I was like, all right, let's sit on this.
- 8:47Keri Croft: And then, you know, I love a good acronym, and I love the fact that it's an obvious play on build, but the why pulls in the mental athleticism system that I have built.
- 8:59Keri Croft: And it's because it's it's all about you, it's about how you operate in between your two ears, it's how you operate, create your environmental design, et cetera, et cetera.
- 9:08Keri Croft: So having the word build be this strong acronym and having why right there that that sort of symbolizes you and the control you have over your destiny, I like it.
- 9:22Keri Croft: I like it a lot.
- 9:24Keri Croft: So let's talk about build a little bit because I really feel like I, you know, I talk about it, but not enough on here on the microphone.
- 9:34Keri Croft: I think that's where you can really um kind of get deeper into um a topic.
- 9:40Keri Croft: And so that's what we're gonna do.
- 9:42Keri Croft: So build is a community for female builders, it's not for someone who thinks they want to build, who maybe has tried to build and backed away, or is trying to figure themselves out to get more mentally athletic.
- 9:58Keri Croft: Build is for the woman who has has been able to actually build something.
- 10:05Keri Croft: Now, that being said, you don't have to be this multi-million dollar builder with multiple locations.
- 10:14Keri Croft: In fact, my goal for the build group is to have sort of both.
- 10:20Keri Croft: So you have maybe a baby builder or someone who is new on the scene, who has created something, and who is astute enough and smart enough to surround themselves with a group of women who are in different phases of their own build process.
- 10:37Keri Croft: You can also improve the atmosphere with being new and fresh and having new, fresh ideas.
- 10:43Keri Croft: And then, of course, the seasoned builder who has already scaled or exited.
- 10:48Keri Croft: And then we have builders anywhere in between there.
- 10:51Keri Croft: So, yes, that is a prerequisite.
- 10:53Keri Croft: You have to be building something in terms of a business.
- 10:57Keri Croft: What makes this group really unique is that it's injected with kind of my personality and the things that have made me successful as I have gone on my journey to building.
- 11:11Keri Croft: And so, one of the things that's really important to me with this group, I don't believe that when you walk into a room of ambitious women that you need to dilute yourself or that you should have to just show one facet of who you are to try to fit in or to try to be the most polished Instagram-worthy resume, you know, version of yourself.
- 11:36Keri Croft: Yeah, of course, there's an element of that.
- 11:38Keri Croft: Like you want to put your best foot forward and you want to make a good impression and all these things.
- 11:43Keri Croft: And I feel like you need a group of women who see the entire person because when you're building, life is happening.
- 11:52Keri Croft: And so we have builders who, you know, are are getting married.
- 11:57Keri Croft: We have builders who are going through a divorce, people who have issues with their kids, people who are taking their, you know, kids to college.
- 12:04Keri Croft: So life is happening while you're building.
- 12:09Keri Croft: And so I don't want the conversations in this group to just be about like, okay, well, how can I help you?
- 12:15Keri Croft: Here's my business code, and you know, let me connect you with this person.
- 12:18Keri Croft: Yeah, there's there's definitely a lot of that going on, but it's also like about the actual person and life that you're living while you're building.
- 12:29Keri Croft: When you look at build high-level, how would I describe it?
- 12:32Keri Croft: Build is a community for female builders powered by badassery, mental athleticism, and business strategy.
- 12:44Keri Croft: It's it's a collision of those things.
- 12:47Keri Croft: That is that is what build is.
- 12:50Keri Croft: And when you look at, like, let's take badassery off the rip, you'd be like, oh, it's the toughest, you know, strongest person in the room.
- 12:57Keri Croft: But if you've been paying attention and listening to my definition of badassery, it isn't that.
- 13:03Keri Croft: So, in terms of build, badassery is very much the ability to see yourself and to own what it is that makes you a very unique, special, weird person in the world.
- 13:19Keri Croft: And so once you can see that in yourself and own it and actually really enjoy and love that part of you or the parts of you that are that, you can shine that out to other women and they can see that in you and then go, oh, wait, I really love that about this person.
- 13:34Keri Croft: Now, how do I take that and kind of like, you know, meld what I have going on?
- 13:40Keri Croft: It's like this, you know, it's like it all works together in this harmonious way when we all show up our true authentic self and we receive and give in that way.
- 13:50Keri Croft: And so that that is badassery to me in terms of the build community.
- 13:57Keri Croft: Mental athleticism is a system that I created.
- 14:00Keri Croft: You know, I basically, after I sold my interest in my last business, I sat and thought to myself, how is it that I have been able to continue to drive forward, to be successful through life's inevitable shit that it's thrown?
- 14:18Keri Croft: You know, from climbing the corporate ladder to starting a fitness brand and, you know, getting it to seven figures in five years, exiting there during infertility and child loss, and then eventually becoming my own surrogate agency to have my last child.
- 14:35Keri Croft: I mean, when you when you look at these consistent patterns of being able to push through and build in spite of the obstacles, I was like, okay, there's something here with me.
- 14:46Keri Croft: It's not just ambition, it's not just confidence.
- 14:49Keri Croft: What's the system that I use that gets me to from point A to point B?
- 14:55Keri Croft: And so I started to write and think and use post-its and I'm like, what, you know, so it's I and I named it mental athleticism.
- 15:04Keri Croft: The definition of mental athleticism is being able to anchor to your audacious really big visions, you know, like I dream in color for my life and in and for my visions, and it's in it's 3D.
- 15:16Keri Croft: It's like I don't, I'm not afraid to like think and architect big picture things for myself.
- 15:23Keri Croft: I mean, if you're not gonna do that, who's going to?
- 15:25Keri Croft: No one.
- 15:26Keri Croft: So being able to do that, but at the same time, quietly, relentlessly executing the small little things every single day.
- 15:34Keri Croft: They're reps.
- 15:35Keri Croft: You're always doing reps.
- 15:37Keri Croft: And make no mistake, hear me.
- 15:39Keri Croft: You're doing positive and negative reps.
- 15:42Keri Croft: So they I always think about it with two buckets.
- 15:44Keri Croft: I've got a positive, I've got a negative.
- 15:46Keri Croft: What, where am I putting what I'm doing every single day?
- 15:49Keri Croft: What buckets it going in?
- 15:51Keri Croft: You know, you can't unsee that once you see it.
- 15:54Keri Croft: And then all of a sudden you're like, well, no wonder my negative bucket is is basically overfloweth.
- 15:59Keri Croft: The reps I'm doing are not the reps that are going to get me toward where I need to go.
- 16:04Keri Croft: So being able to do the daily, mundane, boring stuff that is going to get you closer to reaching big, said, audacious vision.
- 16:16Keri Croft: And then taking it a step further, constantly trying to master internal command of what's going on in between your two ears.
- 16:22Keri Croft: That's a constant thing that you're driving towards as a mental athlete.
- 16:26Keri Croft: You know, what stories am I telling?
- 16:28Keri Croft: Are they valid?
- 16:29Keri Croft: Are they outdated?
- 16:30Keri Croft: Do they need to change?
- 16:32Keri Croft: Do I need to own something?
- 16:33Keri Croft: Do I need to evolve?
- 16:34Keri Croft: All the stuff that is is in here.
- 16:38Keri Croft: I mean, constantly trying to figure out how to master that.
- 16:42Keri Croft: It's always a work in progress.
- 16:43Keri Croft: And then fourth and finally is your environmental design.
- 16:48Keri Croft: Who am I around?
- 16:49Keri Croft: What am I around?
- 16:50Keri Croft: What am I doing out there in the streets?
- 16:52Keri Croft: So that is mental athleticism, and that is how we operate always.
- 16:57Keri Croft: You know, you're you're never on some summit, like, oh, I'm I'm mentally athletic and I don't need to do anything else now.
- 17:04Keri Croft: It's all good.
- 17:04Keri Croft: No, you're always striving, you're always trying to go forward, but that is a very specific philosophy and system that we use in build.
- 17:12Keri Croft: And then last but not least, business strategy.
- 17:14Keri Croft: So there is a lot of that happening in build.
- 17:19Keri Croft: Another differentiator I feel like build has is just this media component, the amplification where it makes sense.
- 17:26Keri Croft: You know, just from the Maneater Media platform that we've built and the Carrie Croft show, I've got builders in here who are starting podcasts.
- 17:34Keri Croft: I've got one builder in particular who has started a podcast and it's just blowing up Lisa Suarez.
- 17:41Keri Croft: It's called Basecoat.
- 17:42Keri Croft: So look it up if you haven't heard of it yet.
- 17:45Keri Croft: Build is not like I'm gonna give you all the information on how to build a business and I'm the smart one and you need to sit and listen.
- 17:54Keri Croft: It's not, it's not that.
- 17:55Keri Croft: This is a dynamic community of really, really ambitious builders who all are willing to learn from one another and to give, to give of themselves, to give of their experience, to give of their connections.
- 18:11Keri Croft: We just had another builder who found out about becoming a women certified uh business and she was able to get a really nice loan through the state of Ohio that she learned about through build.
- 18:24Keri Croft: And it's like free money.
- 18:26Keri Croft: You know, when you when you get yourself around a group of people like this, you have nowhere to go but up.
- 18:33Keri Croft: You have nowhere to go but up.
- 18:35Keri Croft: But I will tell you, for me, it is.
- 18:38Keri Croft: It's it's you have there's an application.
- 18:41Keri Croft: It's not just like, hey, can I join?
- 18:44Keri Croft: It has to be the right fit, the right industry.
- 18:48Keri Croft: It has to feel really good because right now we have about 15 builders.
- 18:54Keri Croft: And I would rather have 15 that I thoroughly believe work together and gel together than have a hundred that don't make sense because that's my time, energy, and that's your time and energy.
- 19:06Keri Croft: And it just doesn't work.
- 19:08Keri Croft: So all that to say, build wave two application is open.
- 19:14Keri Croft: It's simple.
- 19:14Keri Croft: You fill out an application, give me all the the relevant information that's in there.
- 19:19Keri Croft: We set up a 15-minute call and we just figure out like, are you in the right phase?
- 19:24Keri Croft: Are you the right fit?
- 19:25Keri Croft: Are we the right fit for you?
- 19:26Keri Croft: The last thing about build, I am so, so excited about it.
- 19:31Keri Croft: And the women who are in build right now are just incredible.
- 19:35Keri Croft: They're all so different in in so many different ways, but the common thread and the common theme of badassery, mental athleticism, and business strategy, it's just there's something very special about it.
- 19:48Keri Croft: I'm thoroughly enjoying it and I just can't say enough about it.
- 19:53Keri Croft: Now, that leads me to my next thought.
- 19:56Keri Croft: If you're out there and you're thinking to yourself, well, shit, you know, I want to learn about mental athleticism.
- 20:01Keri Croft: I might want to build something.
- 20:03Keri Croft: I have an idea in my notebook and I just can't get it off the page and into the world.
- 20:07Keri Croft: How could I work with you?
- 20:08Keri Croft: How can I get into this vortex where like eventually maybe I could be a builder?
- 20:13Keri Croft: It's a great question.
- 20:14Keri Croft: And I have an answer for that.
- 20:15Keri Croft: Starting in January, we are going to have a group and it's called Mental, M-N-T-L.
- 20:22Keri Croft: And mental will be led by yours truly, and it's going to be eight weeks long.
- 20:27Keri Croft: Now, don't fret when you hear eight weeks long.
- 20:29Keri Croft: This is not your typical, this is not a course.
- 20:33Keri Croft: This is not a situation where I'm giving you a ton of like stuff that you're never gonna read, like this asynchronous dump.
- 20:42Keri Croft: It is not anything like that.
- 20:45Keri Croft: You are truly going to get the baseline of mental athleticism.
- 20:50Keri Croft: So I already told you the definition, and then we're gonna do one rep every single week.
- 20:55Keri Croft: And so you're gonna have to take action.
- 20:57Keri Croft: But it's very doable, it's very interactive, and it's not gonna take up a ton of your time.
- 21:06Keri Croft: It is going to call you, though, to task on like if you want to be mentally athletic, like here, here's the rep and here are the execution points, then we meet the locker room.
- 21:17Keri Croft: You know, that's what we call it.
- 21:19Keri Croft: But it's, you know, you'll have a live um component with me.
- 21:25Keri Croft: You'll have things during the week, but very much like here's your rep of the week.
- 21:30Keri Croft: Let's get through this.
- 21:31Keri Croft: So it's all about results.
- 21:33Keri Croft: You know, this world where we're like doing the really uh laborious courses and libraries and et cetera, I just that's not the vibe for this.
- 21:45Keri Croft: So it's called mental.
- 21:46Keri Croft: It starts in January.
- 21:48Keri Croft: The actual date is to be determined.
- 21:51Keri Croft: If you're someone who's out there and you're like, you know what, I feel like I am gonna be perfect for that, shoot me a DM, send me an email.
- 22:00Keri Croft: Carrie at the carycroft show.com or set up a 15-minute call and you can do that by clicking on the link in my bio.
- 22:06Keri Croft: We will have probably no more than I would say 25 people in mental because again, you're the first group.
- 22:13Keri Croft: And what it's really cool about the first group is you're eternally an OG to me.
- 22:17Keri Croft: So when you're an eternal OG to me, like the builders right now, like you're always going to get the first access to stuff.
- 22:24Keri Croft: I take the OGs, people who believe in something that I'm doing before there's proof, I take it very serious.
- 22:30Keri Croft: So if you're someone that feels like, you know what, maybe mental could be this next like lily pad for me in my possible jump into being a builder, then I think this could be a really uh transformative thing for you.
- 22:43Keri Croft: Now, all that being said, you absolutely do not have to have starting a business in your in your uh dreams to do this.
- 22:52Keri Croft: You can just be, if you want it like you could be working corporate America, you could be a stay-at-home parent.
- 22:56Keri Croft: This does not mean you have to be like that building a business is your next step.
- 23:00Keri Croft: I mean, everybody wants to be more mentally athletic.
- 23:03Keri Croft: So, regardless of what your career is or your aspirations are, mental could be 100% a fit for you.
- 23:09Keri Croft: So, again, a lot of stuff happening there.
- 23:12Keri Croft: And if you want to shoot me a note and express interest, I would absolutely love to talk to you about it.
- 23:17Keri Croft: Okay, aside from this, I think the the next thing and final thing that I want to talk to you about in terms of this business that is being built is Maneater Media.
- 23:28Keri Croft: Because there's a lot of questions about Maneater Media, and I just want to kind of lay that out for people who care and who are interested.
- 23:37Keri Croft: So, Maneater Media is sort of the media umbrella that I created.
- 23:42Keri Croft: This is I created this like a couple years ago, and it was it started out as like an LLC just because you needed to have one and all the things.
- 23:48Keri Croft: And I'm like, okay, Maneater Media will be a funny name.
- 23:51Keri Croft: Just to play with being called a man eater in corporate America.
- 23:54Keri Croft: I thought that'd be funny.
- 23:56Keri Croft: So now Maneater Media is taking on a life of its own, and we have a couple of things happening.
- 24:03Keri Croft: So we have a lane that is strictly like production, branding, consulting.
- 24:10Keri Croft: We don't, we don't advertise it.
- 24:12Keri Croft: My goal is not to build um a marketing agency.
- 24:17Keri Croft: However, we do have clients who we do podcast production, branding, et cetera.
- 24:23Keri Croft: What's interesting to me about Maneater even more than that is I want Maneater to be like this backdoor that you can get into through build.
- 24:34Keri Croft: So, for example, we have some builders who, let's say they again wanted to start a podcast.
- 24:40Keri Croft: So Maneater Media will make it um advantageous for you to prop up your podcast.
- 24:46Keri Croft: Uh, we've had a couple builders who are looking to rebrand.
- 24:49Keri Croft: So instead of going out on the street and getting proposals, we can do it and we can do it for less than what you would get in the market because you're a builder.
- 24:59Keri Croft: So basically, you know, we have this man-eater media that's sort of like a backdoor value ad for people who are in build.
- 25:08Keri Croft: And then in the meantime, we've been just playing around with this man-eater media incubator, which is basically taking a couple personalities, female founders, one male, and just seeing, like testing out to see like what would a podcast look like and what would the engagement be if they, if their face were in in front of the microphone.
- 25:30Keri Croft: So there is a really electric, unique, cutting-edge world being built here.
- 25:38Keri Croft: And for the right person, it absolutely no doubt will be a game changer.
- 25:44Keri Croft: So whether you have questions for me on IRL, the build group, mental, anything that I just talked about, just set up a 15-minute call with me.
- 25:56Keri Croft: I know that's like some people are so like, wait, a 15-minute call, you'll actually, yeah, I love a 15-minute call with a stranger.
- 26:02Keri Croft: There's nothing I love more than when I see my Cowley and there's a name that I don't recognize.
- 26:08Keri Croft: Okay.
- 26:09Keri Croft: I love that more than anything.
- 26:11Keri Croft: I don't know why.
- 26:11Keri Croft: Well, I do know why, actually, because I get the opportunity to meet someone new and to enter into your world for 15 minutes and kind of figure out can I add value?
- 26:21Keri Croft: Like, how can I help, you know, propel this person forward?
- 26:24Keri Croft: So go into the link in my bio, set up a 15-minute call, and we can talk in more detail like what it, you know, what are the connection points of build?
- 26:34Keri Croft: What is the monthly um commitment?
- 26:37Keri Croft: What are you guys doing when you meet?
- 26:39Keri Croft: There's all kinds of questions I'm sure you have behind the scenes.
- 26:41Keri Croft: And I just don't have the time um today to answer all of that.
- 26:45Keri Croft: But there's a lot of really great connection points that are happening with these women throughout the month in build.
- 26:50Keri Croft: And again, like the curiosity of mental too.
- 26:52Keri Croft: So, whatever questions you have, just set up a call, shoot me a note.
- 26:58Keri Croft: And then one final thing I am gonna say, because this was very relevant this week, and I'm sure somebody could use this.
- 27:04Keri Croft: There's something I say to myself, whenever I feel like I'm getting angsty, whenever I feel like I'm overwhelmed, and like I don't know about you, but like tell me, like, shoot me a note if you feel me.
- 27:16Keri Croft: The like 3 a.m.
- 27:18Keri Croft: wake up and stare at the ceiling and think about all the things in your life that scare you and like the anxiety that happens.
- 27:26Keri Croft: Like, I don't even know, like there are some times, and it doesn't happen all the time, but like let's say, like, you know, the week before the IRL, you know, or I'll wake up and I'll be panicked.
- 27:34Keri Croft: I think I already shared the story about the first one.
- 27:36Keri Croft: I would say, you have to, you have to cancel this.
- 27:38Keri Croft: You cannot, who are you to do to do this?
- 27:42Keri Croft: The more you're pushing yourself, the more you're you're out of your depth and and really building your mental athleticism and getting yourself in situations where you're uncomfortable, those are really great places to be.
- 27:53Keri Croft: But then also your anxiety and your limiting beliefs and the overwhelm can also kind of come out to play.
- 27:59Keri Croft: There are three words that I say to myself, and I said it to two different people this week, and it really resonated.
- 28:06Keri Croft: So I want to say it to you too.
- 28:08Keri Croft: Action cures anxiety.
- 28:11Keri Croft: And I told myself this multiple times in the last couple of weeks.
- 28:17Keri Croft: And I literally, once I say it, I look at, I look around and I'm like, what is one thing I can do right now just to take action?
- 28:26Keri Croft: It doesn't have to be some grandiose thing.
- 28:28Keri Croft: It can be as small as like, go clean out the pantry and just don't think about this for a minute, or go for a walk, or finish the X, Y, and Z that you don't want to do right now.
- 28:38Keri Croft: Get that, it could be anything to get yourself out of that anxious spin cycle and into action.
- 28:47Keri Croft: And then next thing you know, you're like, go time.
- 28:50Keri Croft: And then the more you're doing that, the more time you're spending in action and the less time you're spending in your own head.
- 28:57Keri Croft: Because it doesn't matter how many to-do lists you do, how many times you journal, how many times you say you're gonna do something, if you don't take action toward it, it means nothing.
- 29:08Keri Croft: Don't shoot the messenger.
- 29:10Keri Croft: It just is what it is.
- 29:11Keri Croft: Hopefully, somebody out there needed to hear that today.
- 29:14Keri Croft: Action cures anxiety.
- 29:16Keri Croft: Okay.
- 29:17Keri Croft: So I just took about a half hour of your time.
- 29:20Keri Croft: Very appreciative.
- 29:21Keri Croft: Again, I'm here.
- 29:22Keri Croft: I'm so excited about what's being built here and um would love to know you, what you're doing, and what your wild dreams are for yourself.
- 29:31Keri Croft: All right.
- 29:32Keri Croft: So if you're still out there following your girl, follow me on YouTube, Spotify, Apple, or wherever you get your podcasts.
- 29:36Keri Croft: And until next time, keep moving, baby.
