- 0:00Speaker 1: Peyton, Like, I mean, she already got married, you know,
- 0:02Speaker 1: with the big thing with the day in Vegas. But
- 0:04Speaker 1: the actual like kind of the the real part of
- 0:06Speaker 1: it is this weekend.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeah, we're happy. Saturday.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Yeah, on Saturday, we're having a like a party, a
- 0:11Speaker 3: reception kind of after party, and it's gonna be kind
- 0:15Speaker 3: of open house. People can come through, eat, hang out.
- 0:17Speaker 3: We have a lot of fun stuff that we're gonna
- 0:19Speaker 3: be doing. I'm gonna decorate the house. It's gonna be
- 0:21Speaker 3: really excited. But I am pretty nervous about it because
- 0:23Speaker 3: it's a pretty big party and it's really the first
- 0:25Speaker 3: big party that I'm throwing by myself without having like
- 0:28Speaker 3: I think, like the last big, big party I had
- 0:30Speaker 3: was my high school graduation party, and my mom handled
- 0:33Speaker 3: all that.
- 0:33Speaker 4: That's legendary though, the high school graduation exactly.
- 0:36Speaker 3: So you can only imagine how great I want this
- 0:38Speaker 3: to be, you know. And I don't know if it's
- 0:41Speaker 3: the stress that's breaking down, the breaking down my body,
- 0:45Speaker 3: or if I'm catching a little cold or something. Like
- 0:47Speaker 3: one of my besties she was a little under the weather,
- 0:49Speaker 3: So I'm like, I hope you didn't get me sick.
- 0:51Speaker 3: But I also feel like the stress is starting to.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Like could you have COVID?
- 0:56Speaker 3: No? She could?
- 0:57Speaker 2: I mean, I mean I could, but I don't.
- 0:59Speaker 5: I'm back.
- 1:00Speaker 2: What about.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Is it take all this negative sickness out of the
- 1:06Speaker 3: interview it up?
- 1:08Speaker 4: Stress does?
- 1:09Speaker 6: I think definitely make your immune system weaker. So if
- 1:12Speaker 6: you were if you're stressed out in your immune system's
- 1:14Speaker 6: weekend and you were around your bestie who was kind
- 1:16Speaker 6: of saying, well, you need to start like taking emergency
- 1:19Speaker 6: and extra vitamins.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And SODA's drinking a lot on Saturday and Sunday probably
- 1:24Speaker 1: lowers your immune system today too.
- 1:26Speaker 2: No, I mean Monday.
- 1:28Speaker 3: But I don't know. It's been really fun to kind
- 1:30Speaker 3: of set this whole up and you know, throw something
- 1:33Speaker 3: and do something for our friends and family. But I
- 1:35Speaker 3: the stress has gotten even more because my makeup artist
- 1:39Speaker 3: that I've had blocked in for the last couple of
- 1:41Speaker 3: months is out of town this weekend and she's not
- 1:45Speaker 3: able to do my makeup, and I'm kind of freaking
- 1:47Speaker 3: out because I'm half black and I'm half white, and
- 1:51Speaker 3: I always struggle when I get my makeup done because
- 1:53Speaker 3: I always come out super pale, like whatever makeup artists
- 1:56Speaker 3: I have just can't get down.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Is it the makeup artist, it's to make it for
- 2:00Speaker 2: your shower?
- 2:01Speaker 3: Yeah, she's not there. She.
- 2:03Speaker 6: I was like, your makeup looks amazing.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I know, I know, I know, and I'm so sad,
- 2:09Speaker 3: but I want to look good in real life too,
- 2:11Speaker 3: you know what i mean. So I'm kind of pressed
- 2:14Speaker 3: out about that because I'm like, it shouldn't be that
- 2:17Speaker 3: hard to find an MUA for black girls out here,
- 2:19Speaker 3: shouldn't be that dumb, but it is hard out here
- 2:22Speaker 3: in these streets, I promise you. So if anyone has
- 2:25Speaker 3: a good m u a that can work on you know,
- 2:27Speaker 3: darker complexion, please, So.
- 2:28Speaker 2: If you don't find one, you're gonna do your own makeup.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I'll probably have my sister do it or something, or
- 2:32Speaker 3: I'll have kadem sister do it. But I don't want
- 2:34Speaker 3: to have them do that. I don't want to be
- 2:35Speaker 3: all glammed up and look like a battie. And then
- 2:38Speaker 3: on top of it, I'm kind of stressed out because
- 2:40Speaker 3: there's no like all the tariffs and stuff.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I don't even know what a tariff iss.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Yeah, right, okay, tariffs and politics. Right. So I was
- 2:49Speaker 3: on Etsy like two weeks ago and I'm like, oh
- 2:51Speaker 3: my gosh, I have to get one of those cute
- 2:53Speaker 3: led light signs that say the stricklands, right, we can
- 2:56Speaker 3: put it over the bar, all that stuff. So I'm
- 2:59Speaker 3: so excited you spend two hundred dollars on this stupid
- 3:02Speaker 3: d Right then I get an email from UPS yesterday
- 3:07Speaker 3: saying that my package will not be delivered until I
- 3:11Speaker 3: pay a tariff fee, And I'm like, so you're telling
- 3:14Speaker 3: me I just spent two hundred bucks on this light
- 3:17Speaker 3: that apparently stuck in Dubai right now?
- 3:20Speaker 2: Oh that's easy.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Twenty dollars to UPS so I could get my thing
- 3:24Speaker 3: because of the tarring.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Here's what you do. You just call up My wife's
- 3:28Speaker 4: Stacy Bearret. She loves yelling at FedEx and UPS. She
- 3:30Speaker 4: does it like half her day.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Do you think she can get in touch with the UPS?
- 3:33Speaker 4: She has scared them. You're delivering more things than she's
- 3:36Speaker 4: ever ordered. How much is the teriffy?
- 3:38Speaker 3: It was twenty dollars for me to pay to release
- 3:42Speaker 3: my goods.
- 3:44Speaker 6: Because like you figure, you already paid for shipping when
- 3:46Speaker 6: you bought it on Etsy.
- 3:48Speaker 3: You're telling me, and I don't even think it's gonna
- 3:52Speaker 3: get here. In time. So what do I need the
- 3:54Speaker 3: Strickland life form?
- 3:55Speaker 5: Yes, I don't. I don't even need it.
- 3:57Speaker 2: It's not like you can't use it after.
- 4:01Speaker 6: That's cute because if you guys, like because you and
- 4:03Speaker 6: Kademar are planning on buying a house at some point
- 4:06Speaker 6: pretty soon down the road, if you had like a
- 4:08Speaker 6: little office or game room or something that's perfect to
- 4:11Speaker 6: put up on the wall.
- 4:12Speaker 1: It's almost like, if you're angry, you could throw the
- 4:15Speaker 1: Strickland sign like Morgan Wallen was throwing Stuck. Where you're going, Yeah, Megan,
- 4:22Speaker 1: Megan has a story to tell. I actually talked to
- 4:25Speaker 1: her a couple hours ago. Good morning, Megan, your morning. Okay,
- 4:28Speaker 1: So when Meghan tells the story, I want to Megan,
- 4:30Speaker 1: you don't know this part yet. I took Megan's call
- 4:33Speaker 1: several hours ago and she was telling the story about
- 4:36Speaker 1: when she was in middle school, right, and I actually thought,
- 4:40Speaker 1: listening to her voice that she was still in middle school.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I didn't know, and I was like, oh, this is
- 4:44Speaker 1: really cute. And then I go and then she tells
- 4:45Speaker 1: me how she's like, oh dang, So when you tell
- 4:47Speaker 1: the story, just know visually I thought, oh, she's a
- 4:49Speaker 1: little kid calling in, but she's not.
- 4:51Speaker 7: How old are you, Megan, No, I am thirty one
- 4:54Speaker 7: on the eleventh.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Okay, so tell us what did you throw when you
- 4:58Speaker 2: were a kid? Oh? And now I mean I would
- 5:00Speaker 2: just tell the story.
- 5:02Speaker 7: Okay.
- 5:03Speaker 5: So I actually found the paper and it was in
- 5:05Speaker 5: two thousand and seven. I found my write up papers
- 5:09Speaker 5: and I was standing in line with this girl and
- 5:11Speaker 5: we had had beef before, and well, I have an
- 5:14Speaker 5: older sister that's.
- 5:15Speaker 7: Found syndrome, and she was constantly like harassing us, like
- 5:18Speaker 7: she was teaching her bad words, and my sister kept
- 5:20Speaker 7: getting in trouble for it. And at the time, my
- 5:22Speaker 7: parents were like, you don't let that happen, like.
- 5:24Speaker 5: You do something about it.
- 5:25Speaker 7: So I took it to heart.
- 5:26Speaker 5: And I like sapped my trade down at the table,
- 5:29Speaker 5: and she kept.
- 5:29Speaker 7: On and was like, no, I can sit here. I
- 5:31Speaker 7: have just as much to write.
- 5:33Speaker 5: And so I picked up. We had baked beans that day.
- 5:35Speaker 7: I had them in my hand.
- 5:36Speaker 5: And I slapped her across the pace with him. But
- 5:38Speaker 5: that's not even the.
- 5:39Speaker 7: Best part, I don't.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Think, because she wasn't getting.
- 5:43Speaker 7: Like any type of repercussions because she just walked away.
- 5:45Speaker 5: She didn't fight me back. She just went straight to.
- 5:47Speaker 7: The principal's office and I was like, listen, this is
- 5:50Speaker 7: what was going on. You guys wouldn't do anything about it.
- 5:52Speaker 7: I had to take matters into my own hands, literally.
- 5:55Speaker 5: And yeah, and he was like, well, that's not any
- 5:58Speaker 5: of your business. All this and then, and at this point,
- 6:00Speaker 5: I hadn't even talked to my parents. I thought I
- 6:02Speaker 5: was all hopped up. I thought I was doing what
- 6:04Speaker 5: I was supposed to be doing.
- 6:05Speaker 7: I had a compass in my pocket that you like.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Draw a circle with, and I threw it at him,
- 6:10Speaker 5: and so they expelled me for twenty five days.
- 6:14Speaker 6: Well yeah, because those things actually have a super sharp point, right,
- 6:17Speaker 6: like throwing a night.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Here.
- 6:22Speaker 7: It didn't even hit you.
- 6:23Speaker 4: No, it was a vice people, vice principal, and it
- 6:29Speaker 4: didn't hit them.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But I could understand her anger A but B when
- 6:32Speaker 1: she was telling me this story, I thought this must
- 6:34Speaker 1: have happened last year.
- 6:36Speaker 5: I waked up about it because I have a couple
- 6:39Speaker 5: of times that I was suspended for things like that,
- 6:41Speaker 5: and it just was always in a situation where I
- 6:44Speaker 5: felt like I had to stick up for my sister
- 6:45Speaker 5: because nobody else would.
- 6:47Speaker 4: I would have backed you up. If I was your parent,
- 6:49Speaker 4: I said, good for you your.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Siblings, that's the way to do. I got suspended for
- 6:54Speaker 3: standing up for my brother in high school. I was
- 6:56Speaker 3: so mad that put me and iss. I was like,
- 6:58Speaker 3: get me out of here.
- 6:59Speaker 2: You mean like money?
- 7:00Speaker 7: Is that?
- 7:01Speaker 3: No one ever else for osis in school?
- 7:05Speaker 2: Suspension, breakfast club?
- 7:07Speaker 3: Yeah, actually it was not fun. Good for you, Megan
- 7:10Speaker 3: for standing up for your sister and your Megan.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Thanks for calling in.
- 7:14Speaker 7: Thank you so much for you guys, have a great day.
- 7:16Speaker 2: And she's listening to us in Oklahoma, like we're not
- 7:18Speaker 2: even on there?
- 7:18Speaker 7: Are you listening to an iHeart app Oh I've literally
- 7:21Speaker 7: listened to you guys since I was a kid.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Me and my sister would have you guys out, like
- 7:25Speaker 5: we would be.
- 7:25Speaker 7: Playing in our driveway just dancing, listening to music. We
- 7:28Speaker 7: would call in all the time, and you guys are like.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Oh, listen to these babies and you still sound like
- 7:33Speaker 2: a child. Thanks Magan.
- 7:35Speaker 5: No, everyone says that.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I have a great day. Thank you for listening, Thanks
- 7:39Speaker 2: for calling it
