- 1:51Speaker 4: Guy all ready, Welcome back to the Son of a
- 1:56Speaker 4: Boy Dad podcast. Today. It is timon Pride Month. It
- 2:03Speaker 4: is one or twelve pm. It is just afternoon, Fellas,
- 2:09Speaker 4: how are we doing? Welcome back, Welcome back, Francis.
- 2:11Speaker 5: Yeah, good to see you guys. Get a long sometime
- 2:14Speaker 5: I've been.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been like fucking gang buster.
- 2:17Speaker 5: I'm sorry that I was away for so long. It
- 2:19Speaker 5: feels like a bit. It's been like a month. I know,
- 2:22Speaker 5: when did you get back? I got back on Friday
- 2:27Speaker 5: night for like one evening and then left Saturday morning
- 2:32Speaker 5: for a wedding and then got back yesterday. That's afternoon.
- 2:35Speaker 1: France, Ireland, Martha's Vineyard. That's fucking that's a lot.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a big white guy week.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Two weeks.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Yeah, this is two weeks.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Yeah, like tying the vineyard into that at the end.
- 2:49Speaker 1: That's a white guy's bucket list. It's like before I die,
- 2:52Speaker 1: I got a hit.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Get act, just get out to act for a little bit.
- 2:57Speaker 5: No, No, I didn't. I didn't.
- 3:00Speaker 1: How was it? What was the if you had to
- 3:02Speaker 1: sum up those all your travels into like one big highlight,
- 3:06Speaker 1: or what was the what was your shining moment? Your
- 3:08Speaker 1: shining moment?
- 3:09Speaker 5: Rank those three? Good question? Oh, I mean they were
- 3:13Speaker 5: so different. I really didn't spend much time in Martha's Vineyard.
- 3:16Speaker 5: I was only there for less than twenty four hours.
- 3:18Speaker 5: But based on my overall experience, I would say Ireland
- 3:23Speaker 5: was number one. I had a great time in Paris,
- 3:26Speaker 5: and then Mark's Vineyard was great, but I just didn't
- 3:28Speaker 5: experience it to the degree that I had the others.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it makes sense.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Rank your top eighteen R and DS months.
- 3:36Speaker 5: I really liked the eleventh. I spent a lot of
- 3:38Speaker 5: time in the eleventh cool Best Guinness. Best Guinness I
- 3:42Speaker 5: had was at the halfway House at golf Course Part Glass.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Yeah, we were talking about that crazy how good it was.
- 3:48Speaker 1: The plastic point glass.
- 3:50Speaker 4: We're having lots of debates about if it actually is
- 3:52Speaker 4: different not. I was on the side of it's very different.
- 3:55Speaker 4: I've never had it though, but everyone says it's like
- 3:57Speaker 4: a completely different drink.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:59Speaker 5: I mean I would equate it to like having a
- 4:03Speaker 5: bud light of like ten degree temperature changes.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Oh really, yeah, Wait, what do you mean by that?
- 4:11Speaker 5: Like if you had one that was like ice cold,
- 4:14Speaker 5: and then you had one that was like room temp,
- 4:16Speaker 5: and then you had one that was like that was
- 4:18Speaker 5: the level of taste difference. And I'm not I'm not
- 4:21Speaker 5: a Guinness guy. I don't really drink much Guinness, so
- 4:24Speaker 5: going in I didn't have this like a tuned palette
- 4:27Speaker 5: for it. Yeah, and very quickly you could tell, well
- 4:31Speaker 5: we had I had a lot of them. Yeah, as
- 4:33Speaker 5: so many different places.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Just everywhere you go, they're like, you got it all
- 4:37Speaker 4: you drink? Yeah, it's all you drink. It sounds great?
- 4:40Speaker 4: Was your shit black?
- 4:43Speaker 5: Every bar we went to, I mean not everywhere, but
- 4:45Speaker 5: we would ask like what percentage of your overall sales
- 4:48Speaker 5: are Guinness? Yeah, and they'd be like seventy five percent,
- 4:53Speaker 5: and then and they have like thirty beers on tap. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:56Speaker 5: of course. And then you'd say like okay, and then
- 4:58Speaker 5: what and then they'd be like twenty percent is cores light?
- 5:02Speaker 5: Really is the nineteen other beers that.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Were Guinness Extra Stout is enormous over there. That's that's great.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I love the Only America Hills or.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Whatever that anyone drinks.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Really, Yeah, that's that's that's that's that's a great choice. Yeah,
- 5:19Speaker 4: mountains are blue.
- 5:21Speaker 1: What about a nice killie and Irish red?
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 5:24Speaker 5: I had one of those that was pretty good.
- 5:25Speaker 4: I did.
- 5:26Speaker 5: I didn't mind that red.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Is That's like a nice change of pace. It's like
- 5:30Speaker 1: when you're in Europe drinking red wine all day and
- 5:32Speaker 1: then you're like, I'm gonna have a white wine. Yeah,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I have something a little bit different. Yeah, that's beautiful.
- 5:38Speaker 1: How so you were going for what sixteen days?
- 5:42Speaker 4: I don't know if you were well asked?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Can I put it over under on the amount of
- 5:46Speaker 1: drinks that you had at one hundred and one point.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Five Yeah, I would go over on that.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Wow, one hundred over one hundred.
- 5:56Speaker 5: Let's think about it, like sixteen days you're talking.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Us to be dead.
- 6:01Speaker 5: No, then it would be ye, not well, you must be.
- 6:04Speaker 4: A shell of a man.
- 6:06Speaker 5: The last night, the last night that I was in Ireland,
- 6:08Speaker 5: I woke up at one in the morning.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I woke up at.
- 6:10Speaker 5: One in the morning and ran to the toilet and
- 6:14Speaker 5: threw up all over the back of the seat. Oh,
- 6:17Speaker 5: I know, you're back at the front of the lid.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. Your throw up looked like venom. I know.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It was like crawling out of itself.
- 6:23Speaker 5: It just sprayed into words stopped during.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That's insane.
- 6:28Speaker 4: So were you getting like banged up or was it
- 6:30Speaker 4: just the consistency.
- 6:32Speaker 5: I didn't get banged up.
- 6:33Speaker 4: I mean it's just the drinking all day.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Yeah, not all day, not all day every like every
- 6:40Speaker 5: night we finished around can you wake up?
- 6:43Speaker 4: No, dude.
- 6:45Speaker 5: The other part was like we would have our tea times.
- 6:47Speaker 5: They would put us off late because we were slow. Yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 5: because you're filming and we're yeah, so we go out
- 6:54Speaker 5: at like three thirty. By the way, it stays light
- 6:56Speaker 5: there till ten pm.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Oh.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I didn't even think about.
- 6:59Speaker 5: That especially and then in the that was in Ireland proper,
- 7:02Speaker 5: and then in Northern Ireland at the top we would
- 7:04Speaker 5: be like till ten thirty, damn, And so we'd come
- 7:07Speaker 5: off the course at like nine. All the restaurants would
- 7:11Speaker 5: be closed. We'd have to eat at the clubhouse a lot.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Of the time, and which is probably great. E. Really,
- 7:18Speaker 1: I don't know how's the food.
- 7:19Speaker 4: I don't even know how how is the food out there?
- 7:21Speaker 5: I went in expecting it to be horrid because I
- 7:23Speaker 5: was there nine years ago with my dad and the
- 7:25Speaker 5: food was inedible. Yeah, it's come a long way. To
- 7:29Speaker 5: their credit. Love that it really has, Love that they've
- 7:32Speaker 5: made major improvements. I attribute that to a degree to
- 7:35Speaker 5: the influx of wealthy American golf tourists. Yeah, who are like,
- 7:39Speaker 5: why isn't there a single salad on them? Bro? They
- 7:44Speaker 5: at one point I tried to order a side of
- 7:46Speaker 5: seasonal vegetables and they're like, we don't have any vegetables.
- 7:49Speaker 1: We have smaller potatoes, we we've run out of vegetables.
- 7:54Speaker 5: I'm like, I've never heard that from a restaurant.
- 7:56Speaker 1: And especially like the greenest country ever, Like you look
- 7:59Speaker 1: out the window and it's all green.
- 8:01Speaker 5: But I don't think they can grow vegetables that easily
- 8:03Speaker 5: because it rains too much.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Oh does it really?
- 8:06Speaker 5: Tomatoes need a ton of sunlight?
- 8:08Speaker 1: Right, And isn't it all like bogs and like like rocks,
- 8:12Speaker 1: Like all the fences that are built around each one
- 8:14Speaker 1: of the properties is just like rocks that they found
- 8:17Speaker 1: in the ground there.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, And it's just I mean, it's just wet
- 8:21Speaker 5: all the time, so you can't you know, a lot
- 8:24Speaker 5: of crops wouldn't survive. That's why the only thing you
- 8:27Speaker 5: can consistently eat by way of a vegetable is cabbage.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Oh wow, I never thought about that. Is always eating
- 8:34Speaker 4: cabbage out there?
- 8:35Speaker 5: Cabbage is hard, Cabbage is the worst. Yeah, it's really.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Bad unless you pickle it. But they haven't even got
- 8:40Speaker 1: to they haven't even got to the kim chiese stage.
- 8:42Speaker 4: And oh it's to be honest, it's not really great
- 8:45Speaker 4: if you pickle it either, but at least it's good.
- 8:46Speaker 1: For your gut. But then I heard that over consumption
- 8:50Speaker 1: of kimchi is causing colon cancer.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Have you heard this?
- 8:52Speaker 1: I've seen this?
- 8:53Speaker 4: Have you heard about now? But I don't really know
- 8:54Speaker 4: how someone could possibly be over consuming kimchi, Like it's
- 8:58Speaker 4: so bad? How are you overdoing?
- 9:03Speaker 1: I can't believe that kimchi goes bad. I had to
- 9:05Speaker 1: throw out some kimchi because it was past the expiration date.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Isn't the point of it that it's bad? It's like
- 9:10Speaker 1: already bad, Like that's the that's why we're consuming it.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So it's an MGK.
- 9:15Speaker 4: That was like, Yeah, I just smoked cigarettes and have
- 9:17Speaker 4: kim chie. It's like that's not good. That's not good
- 9:20Speaker 4: for you.
- 9:21Speaker 1: That's why black. It's not tattoos. So you had no
- 9:25Speaker 1: good meals? What about?
- 9:26Speaker 5: Like we had some good meals. We did steaks Hamburg. Yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 5: their beef is good because the cows eat all the
- 9:32Speaker 5: grass and the grass is really plentiful.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah, it makes sense they.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Have high caliber beef. We had a couple of decent
- 9:38Speaker 5: meals in Dublin. The Dublin seems to be a pretty
- 9:42Speaker 5: good food center, and I think there's a very prominent
- 9:45Speaker 5: like cooking school there.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Oh really yeah?
- 9:48Speaker 4: Is it? Like what do they eat? Do they eat
- 9:49Speaker 4: a lot like fish, like fish and chips.
- 9:51Speaker 5: A lot of beef, beef, there's beef everywhere on the menu. Yeah,
- 9:55Speaker 5: do you respect that?
- 9:57Speaker 1: Did you run into any racist cab drivers, best gracious guy.
- 10:03Speaker 5: We were driven everywhere by our lovely driver, this guy Martin,
- 10:06Speaker 5: who was the nicest guy ever. Also, I don't I
- 10:10Speaker 5: didn't see a single person of I didn't see a
- 10:13Speaker 5: single minority the whole time I was in Ireland.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And that's the way we like it.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a it's a very white white country.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I think minorities were like, oh, they're still fighting
- 10:26Speaker 5: with themselves. Yeah, as recently as like ninety three. We'll
- 10:30Speaker 5: stay away.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that is true. And you said you went to
- 10:34Speaker 1: Northern Ireland. Racial breakdown of Ireland White Irish seventy seven percent,
- 10:39Speaker 1: Other Irish ten percent.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Any other white background ten one point five black.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Well interesting, did so did you get into the troubles
- 10:48Speaker 1: at all? Did you? Did you chop it up with
- 10:51Speaker 1: anybody about the.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Raw a little bit? A little bit, our driver talked
- 10:57Speaker 5: to us, I mean we drove, we sort of circumnavigated Belfast,
- 11:00Speaker 5: and he pointed out a hotel that apparently was the
- 11:03Speaker 5: most bombed out hotel in Europe, damn, which is hard
- 11:08Speaker 5: to believe because that Europe includes like, yeah, a lot
- 11:11Speaker 5: of places, fucking yeah, former Soviet you know, Bosi places.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Or like World War two, like full City's got.
- 11:21Speaker 5: He meant, maybe he meant during the troubles, but I
- 11:25Speaker 5: don't know. I preferred Ireland to Northern Ireland. I thought
- 11:29Speaker 5: that Ireland had a stronger identity and sort of sense
- 11:32Speaker 5: of self. And we went out in this great town
- 11:35Speaker 5: Killarney and there were all these Irish musicians, folk musicians
- 11:38Speaker 5: singing this is our country blah blah blah, like all
- 11:43Speaker 5: these you know, nationalistic songs. Yeah, and then I will
- 11:48Speaker 5: say that the men of Ireland when they you, I
- 11:51Speaker 5: saw this clip of you saying that they don't drink
- 11:53Speaker 5: that much. Wrong.
- 11:55Speaker 4: I got it from everybody already there.
- 11:58Speaker 5: They earned their stereotype, they got they got real problems.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:03Speaker 5: I started to fall into it. Yeah yeah. I was
- 12:06Speaker 5: like I can't be here anymore.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Like so I was completely wrong. Yeah, man, yeah, all right,
- 12:11Speaker 4: I can take that. I was. I had a feeling.
- 12:14Speaker 5: We went to this pub in Killarney and there were
- 12:18Speaker 5: guys so drunk that like, I was like, why isn't
- 12:22Speaker 5: someone kicking them out? So yeah, it's like these people
- 12:25Speaker 5: are ill. There was a guy who was like you
- 12:29Speaker 5: thought it was anyone's guess. He was just gonna topple over.
- 12:33Speaker 4: And he's standing at the bar.
- 12:34Speaker 5: Like trying to get their attention to get another drink,
- 12:37Speaker 5: and they're just ignoring him. But they weren't being like,
- 12:40Speaker 5: hey man, you got to go home. Yeah, And he's
- 12:42Speaker 5: like knocking shit. Oh, he's walking by the tables knocking
- 12:44Speaker 5: people's drinks over.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Was this in This was in Dublin or this was
- 12:49Speaker 4: in Northern Ireland.
- 12:50Speaker 5: In Ireland but on the west coast, got south of Galway,
- 12:54Speaker 5: got Killarney's a pretty big town and they were doing
- 12:59Speaker 5: like a hurling match, a big hurling match there on Saturday.
- 13:02Speaker 5: So I think a lot of people had come in
- 13:04Speaker 5: for that. And then and everyone was out and the
- 13:08Speaker 5: pubs were packed. Ye and uh, we were sitting at
- 13:11Speaker 5: a table and kind of trying to just keep a
- 13:14Speaker 5: little bit of a low profile. But like every once
- 13:16Speaker 5: in a while some guy would sit down just like
- 13:19Speaker 5: shove us into the booth.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Yeah, and make space for himself.
- 13:23Speaker 5: You're like, you're a fucking couple of yanks, aren't you.
- 13:26Speaker 1: How did he tell you know?
- 13:28Speaker 5: And then and then they do this thing where like
- 13:30Speaker 5: the men they put they put an arm around you.
- 13:34Speaker 4: And then they they they're talking so.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Close to your ear, and they're like hot breath is
- 13:41Speaker 5: wet on your cheek, and it's it's really gay and intimate,
- 13:47Speaker 5: and uh, they're so touchy with each other and they're
- 13:49Speaker 5: all doing it. There isn't a single woman in the
- 13:52Speaker 5: entire pub, not one, not a single woman.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Girls.
- 13:59Speaker 5: You feel you're in the hold of a ship and
- 14:03Speaker 5: it's like, you know.
- 14:04Speaker 1: These pirates.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Yeah, and at one point, oh my god, So this
- 14:11Speaker 5: one guy who was really really drunk and really obnoxious.
- 14:16Speaker 5: He bought he was trying to talk to Booze. Booze
- 14:21Speaker 5: was with us. Yeah, yeah, and I don't think Booze
- 14:25Speaker 5: was giving him a whole lot because he was being
- 14:27Speaker 5: so annoying.
- 14:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:28Speaker 5: So after a while he got up and left, and
- 14:30Speaker 5: then like twenty minutes went by, and he came over
- 14:33Speaker 5: with a pint of of not Guinness, but of like
- 14:37Speaker 5: Heineken or something, and he slammed it onto the table,
- 14:42Speaker 5: almost spiked it onto the table with such force that
- 14:46Speaker 5: all the beer came out of the top of it
- 14:48Speaker 5: and got all over Booze and Brendan Jones and I
- 14:54Speaker 5: watched Booze kind of like turtle a little bit, you know,
- 14:58Speaker 5: he shrunk into himself. Yeah, because this was an aggressive
- 15:01Speaker 5: affront of thing that this guy had done. And you
- 15:03Speaker 5: could tell he was pissed and kind of looking for
- 15:06Speaker 5: conflict or whatever.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Irish guy was pissed, OK, I got it.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yeah, he was annoyed that, like we weren't nicer to
- 15:13Speaker 5: him or something, and it was, but he was like
- 15:15Speaker 5: annoying everybody. It felt like we were being hit on
- 15:19Speaker 5: by an extremely drunk, aggressive man and all of us
- 15:22Speaker 5: were dating other people. It's kind of that type of event. Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 5: and he slammed the drink down and started saying some
- 15:31Speaker 5: like shit or whatever. And I watched Booze do this,
- 15:33Speaker 5: and I'm like, ah, fuck, here we go, like this
- 15:37Speaker 5: is gonna be bad. But I saw him shrink and
- 15:40Speaker 5: I felt so bad for Booze. And next thing, you know,
- 15:43Speaker 5: the guy stops talking and all I heard Booze go was.
- 15:48Speaker 4: He goes, we.
- 15:49Speaker 5: Don't find that funny in America.
- 15:55Speaker 4: I was gonna say. I was like, I feel like
- 15:56Speaker 4: Booze would say something.
- 15:57Speaker 5: He said that, and I was like, oh my, why
- 16:03Speaker 5: would you do that?
- 16:04Speaker 4: Man? What a thing to say we don't find that
- 16:10Speaker 4: funny in America? And what did the guys say, I mean,
- 16:15Speaker 4: he he's surprised this didn't erupt into me too, me too.
- 16:19Speaker 4: That's those are fighting words. I think.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Very quickly after that, one of the big bartenders had
- 16:25Speaker 5: seen and heard him slam the drink down and that
- 16:28Speaker 5: was a bridge too far, and he came over and
- 16:32Speaker 5: grabbed him and like gently escorted him out of the
- 16:34Speaker 5: out of the bar. So that that did it, because
- 16:36Speaker 5: this guy was getting violent. He's on the verge of violence. Yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 5: you can't have a guy in the bar like that,
- 16:42Speaker 5: But for a booze to say that, because I thought
- 16:45Speaker 5: he had been was just cowering and was gonna take it,
- 16:48Speaker 5: and then he fucking yeah.
- 16:50Speaker 4: He doesn't seem like the kind of guy.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Wherever you're from, maybe that's cool, but not in America.
- 16:56Speaker 1: This table America.
- 16:59Speaker 5: I'm like, bro, we are not America. Here fucking burn
- 17:03Speaker 5: your passport right now. Let's keep it down, let's keep
- 17:07Speaker 5: a low profile.
- 17:08Speaker 1: This guy wasn't like like ironic or like sarcastic about it, like,
- 17:13Speaker 1: oh America.
- 17:15Speaker 5: No, I think he well, he knew we were Americans
- 17:17Speaker 5: and had decided he didn't like us. Yeah, the beer
- 17:22Speaker 5: thing was more. It sounds ridiculous because it sounds like
- 17:26Speaker 5: a peace offering, but it was he might as well
- 17:28Speaker 5: have dumped it on our heads.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean if you slam it down that hard, Yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 4: that's quite the scene.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Who was the mouthpiece for your group in a situation
- 17:38Speaker 1: like that?
- 17:39Speaker 4: To be honest with you.
- 17:40Speaker 5: When I saw Booze like kind of getting nervous like that,
- 17:44Speaker 5: I felt really bad. And there was a guy that
- 17:47Speaker 5: this dude was with and I yelled across to that guy,
- 17:51Speaker 5: straight into the path of the mean guy, and I went.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Are you with this guy?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 17:56Speaker 4: I went are you? Are you with him?
- 17:58Speaker 5: And the guy was like what?
- 18:00Speaker 4: And I was like are you with him?
- 18:02Speaker 5: Being like, man, yeah, this is a fucking problem developing.
- 18:09Speaker 5: And uh it turned out that guy was his brother.
- 18:12Speaker 4: He didn't give a fuck.
- 18:13Speaker 5: No. Not only that, but I probably insulted him.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Or it was like like you fucking deal with him?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, oh my god, that's hilarious. How are the
- 18:23Speaker 1: other four playboys at the at the pubs? Like I
- 18:26Speaker 1: know that, Like I've I've had a drink or too
- 18:29Speaker 1: with Frankie, but last time I was out with with Trent,
- 18:32Speaker 1: like he wasn't really much of a drinker.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Does he drink on this evening. I mean we all,
- 18:37Speaker 5: we all, you know, drank the kool aid, so to speak.
- 18:40Speaker 5: We all got into the spirit of of Guinness. And
- 18:44Speaker 5: and you know, this was the one weekend that we
- 18:46Speaker 5: had there. Yeah, so it was a Friday, it was
- 18:50Speaker 5: early in the trip. None of us were so shattered yet, uh.
- 18:55Speaker 5: And we we knew like, that's the tourist that's sight
- 18:59Speaker 5: seeing in Ireland is going drinking at a pub and
- 19:02Speaker 5: listening to live Irish focus. Yeah, definitely, And so we
- 19:07Speaker 5: did that and everyone was on board. It was really fun.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I want to hear more about when when people started breaking,
- 19:12Speaker 4: when people started getting shattered. Yeah, I want to get
- 19:16Speaker 4: more into this.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean the thing.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Was definitely got a little bit of a little bit
- 19:21Speaker 4: of a shattered vibe right now. Yeah, just a hint.
- 19:24Speaker 1: You've been to war.
- 19:26Speaker 5: I just like you know, I'm I'm My sleep is
- 19:30Speaker 5: a disaster and I don't love eating that way and
- 19:36Speaker 5: drinking that way for as long as.
- 19:37Speaker 4: I Yeah, weeks a long time, yeah, two weeks, two
- 19:40Speaker 4: weeks is it was a sentence.
- 19:43Speaker 5: It wasn't as if I was like taking it easy
- 19:46Speaker 5: in Paris. I went from like croissants and cheese and
- 19:51Speaker 5: red wine to black guinness and like potatoes and meat.
- 19:58Speaker 1: That's like putting your having your body run on on
- 20:00Speaker 1: like premium fuel down to like just regular gasoline. Yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 1: like just sputtering on the road.
- 20:08Speaker 4: And then you had a wedding in the in Martha's vineyard.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Yeah mm hm back to the cocktails for that, Yeah,
- 20:14Speaker 4: I was.
- 20:14Speaker 5: I just went straight to Keiela at that point. Yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 5: because with ice, they're so the thing. It's impossible to
- 20:21Speaker 5: find ice in Europe period.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Oh yeah, they don't like it. They don't like it.
- 20:24Speaker 5: They look at you like you're asking for some sort
- 20:27Speaker 5: of rare antidoe.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Yeah, they got to they got to get rid of
- 20:30Speaker 4: their like stubborn ways with that shit. They're just doing
- 20:34Speaker 4: everything wrong.
- 20:35Speaker 5: I had so many conversations with people about the ice issue.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Did you guys talk about like do they have the
- 20:40Speaker 4: same ac issue that yeah, they're aces that England has
- 20:45Speaker 4: or is it like not as bad. Well, I don't
- 20:46Speaker 4: know what the issue is over there in England. They
- 20:49Speaker 4: just they don't have air conditioning, so it's like but
- 20:51Speaker 4: they were also like they refuse to get it. Yeah,
- 20:55Speaker 4: like it'll be like seventy and they're like England's facing
- 20:57Speaker 4: the worst heat wave they've faced in sixty years.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Yeah, you know in Ireland it's it's warm for five
- 21:04Speaker 5: days of the year.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:06Speaker 4: True.
- 21:06Speaker 5: And by the way, one of those days we we
- 21:08Speaker 5: caught a record day in Ireland while we were there.
- 21:13Speaker 4: How long was it?
- 21:14Speaker 5: I don't know, It's probably eighty in northern IAIMI the
- 21:18Speaker 5: day we played Royal County down.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Which is the number one. Does it feel like different,
- 21:23Speaker 4: like hotter than because they make it sound like it
- 21:25Speaker 4: when it's eighty there, it's actually two hundred, I know.
- 21:29Speaker 5: I mean it was beautiful and there was a little
- 21:31Speaker 5: bit of a sea breeze and it was amazing. But
- 21:34Speaker 5: to your point, being in the hotel room, was you
- 21:38Speaker 5: know the ac it's like it doesn't go below nineteen.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Have to wear sweater every day, full wool.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Throw on some shorts, buddy.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Yeah damn.
- 21:49Speaker 1: What did you pick up any good lingo while you
- 21:51Speaker 1: were over there? Any good? Yeah?
- 21:53Speaker 5: There were a number of things that I heard.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Put us onto some what the Irish brothers, well.
- 21:57Speaker 5: They end a lot of sentences with like mean example, okay,
- 22:02Speaker 5: so Harry's had a sip like you know interesting, you know,
- 22:07Speaker 5: or I don't. I don't know exactly how to. It's
- 22:11Speaker 5: just this weird, little cute word that they throw on
- 22:14Speaker 5: to the end of everything. They also refer to everything.
- 22:17Speaker 5: They use the word we for everything.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 5: They'll no like w ee oh like a lad. Yeah,
- 22:26Speaker 5: and they'll just be like, I just need a WE signature.
- 22:30Speaker 5: It's like, well, I'm not going to write it small.
- 22:32Speaker 5: We're going to tell me the size of my signature.
- 22:36Speaker 1: John Hancock.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Yeah, right. But I will say that they were incredibly friendly.
- 22:43Speaker 5: The Irish were super super friendly, and going from France
- 22:49Speaker 5: to Ireland, I said this on the fore play pod
- 22:52Speaker 5: I did, but I went Paris was like unusually annoying.
- 22:59Speaker 5: How how fucking dickish they were?
- 23:01Speaker 4: Oh yeah, the French.
- 23:02Speaker 5: I don't know what's going on over there. There's like
- 23:05Speaker 5: a labor shortage or a work shortage or something where
- 23:09Speaker 5: they're just pissed off about their leadership or what the
- 23:13Speaker 5: fuck is happening. But everyone over there was in a
- 23:16Speaker 5: dickish mood.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Was it like, do you think people just aren't don't
- 23:19Speaker 4: like Americans right now or was it not at you?
- 23:22Speaker 5: No, man, I saw them be mean. I saw them
- 23:24Speaker 5: be mean to everyone, including the French. I'll give you
- 23:26Speaker 5: an example. Charle de gall Airport is a disaster. Yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 5: it's a fucking disaster.
- 23:35Speaker 4: I've only been there once, and I built like a
- 23:37Speaker 4: video game.
- 23:38Speaker 5: It looks like an ant farm.
- 23:39Speaker 1: They like built it inside out, where like all the
- 23:42Speaker 1: conveyor belts where like the bags should go the people
- 23:44Speaker 1: have to ride.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Yes, yes they have those slanted, slanted uh conveyors and
- 23:51Speaker 5: then they all kind of they look like ant farm tunnels.
- 23:53Speaker 5: And it's old and it's out of date and it's
- 23:56Speaker 5: gross and uh, the customs situation was a mess, and
- 24:02Speaker 5: I got there plenty in early.
- 24:04Speaker 4: First of all, do they have the people walking around
- 24:06Speaker 4: with like the biggest guns you've ever seen in your
- 24:10Speaker 4: entire life? Like shit, that looks like it's out of
- 24:12Speaker 4: like Halo. Correct?
- 24:14Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 24:16Speaker 4: That was the one thing I remember from being there
- 24:18Speaker 4: was like, yeah, they got we have the cops here
- 24:20Speaker 4: have guns. But it's not like just to pick your
- 24:22Speaker 4: own like pick your own adventure to fucking.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Guys. Just talk about shady rays, all right? Quick question?
- 24:32Speaker 1: How are my shady rays basically the same quality as
- 24:35Speaker 1: the two hundred dollars glasses I used to buy? And
- 24:38Speaker 1: I'm not exaggerating. They feel every bit as premium as
- 24:41Speaker 1: the expensive brands that I've ever owned. Meanwhile, I'm wearing
- 24:44Speaker 1: Shady Race to the Lake, Shady Rays on the boat,
- 24:46Speaker 1: Shady Race of the game, Shady Rays even when I'm
- 24:49Speaker 1: at the job site doing my blue collar side job.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Because if I drop them in the ocean, they replace them.
- 24:54Speaker 1: If I knock them off the dock, they replace them.
- 24:57Speaker 1: If I run them over with my back hot that
- 24:59Speaker 1: I'm when work in the fields with, they'll replace them.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And here's the crazy part. They are actually premium polarized lenses,
- 25:07Speaker 1: cut glare, super clear optics, durable frames, solid hinges. They
- 25:11Speaker 1: got it all over there at Shady Rays. And if
- 25:13Speaker 1: you're outside on the water in the sun, driving every day,
- 25:16Speaker 1: you actually need shades that are going to perform. We've
- 25:19Speaker 1: teamed up with Shady Rays to bring you an exclusive offer.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Head to Shady rays dot com and use code Dad
- 25:25Speaker 1: for fifty percent off two or more polarized sunglasses. Great
- 25:30Speaker 1: Father's Day gifts, so you might as well use code
- 25:32Speaker 1: Dad for fifty percent off two or more polarized sunglasses.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Try for yourself. The shades are rated five stars by
- 25:39Speaker 1: over three hundred thousand people, So you got there early.
- 25:44Speaker 5: I got there early. I had bought some things in Paris,
- 25:47Speaker 5: so I had the VAT return thing.
- 25:50Speaker 1: It's a little like you get your little tax money back.
- 25:53Speaker 5: Yeahah, but it's twelve percent thanks, so it's significant and
- 25:56Speaker 5: I wanted.
- 25:57Speaker 1: To you spent twenty thousand dollars.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I didn't spend that much, but I spent a good amount.
- 26:02Speaker 5: And I went to the thing and you know, put
- 26:07Speaker 5: my receipts under. The machine wasn't working. Went to the
- 26:11Speaker 5: window and the woman was like, none of these and
- 26:14Speaker 5: we're speaking in French, and my French is good.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Yeah, so.
- 26:21Speaker 5: I'm like, you know, explaining, I'm like, the machine wasn't working.
- 26:24Speaker 5: She was looking it takes the forms and she's like,
- 26:26Speaker 5: none of these forms have been designated to have credit
- 26:29Speaker 5: card returns. You needed to have that done at the store.
- 26:32Speaker 5: And I was like, well, the people at the store
- 26:33Speaker 5: said everything was fine and that this was all I
- 26:35Speaker 5: needed for the forms. And she was like she was
- 26:38Speaker 5: acting as if I was a fucking morone, right, And
- 26:42Speaker 5: I'm like, I don't know what to tell you. She
- 26:44Speaker 5: was like, well, now that you haven't designated that, at
- 26:46Speaker 5: best you'll get cash returns in euros, so you need
- 26:49Speaker 5: to go to the cash window. And I was like fine.
- 26:51Speaker 5: So then I went to the cash window and the
- 26:53Speaker 5: guy was like, no, you're all set. You've scanned the forms.
- 26:55Speaker 5: You'll get it back on your credit card statement within
- 26:57Speaker 5: two weeks. And I was like, that woman, that other
- 27:00Speaker 5: thing said that, and he was like, she doesn't know
- 27:02Speaker 5: what she's talking about. So then I walked out and
- 27:05Speaker 5: I couldn't resist. I got in line. I got back
- 27:11Speaker 5: in line to tell her.
- 27:12Speaker 4: She was wrong.
- 27:16Speaker 5: I waited for the moment to be like, by the way,
- 27:20Speaker 5: I spoke to that guy and he was like, you
- 27:22Speaker 5: don't know what the.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Fuck you're talking about.
- 27:24Speaker 1: In French she.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Said, and she goes. I remember she was like, well,
- 27:29Speaker 5: I'll agree to disagree with him. She said it in French,
- 27:32Speaker 5: and I was like, you work together, you are colleagues.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Also, it doesn't seem like it's something that you could
- 27:39Speaker 4: disagree with, Like it seems like there's just a right
- 27:42Speaker 4: answer and a wrong answer.
- 27:43Speaker 5: Okay, but here's what's happened. So she was right, hold on,
- 27:46Speaker 5: oh no, I had four receipts. I've gotten the VAT
- 27:51Speaker 5: back for one of them so far.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Oh god, that's such fun having to airport.
- 27:58Speaker 5: It was annoying and in the airport was a mess.
- 28:01Speaker 4: And then and then then they don't got clear sky
- 28:04Speaker 4: priority over there, do they? They probably have Scott priority,
- 28:09Speaker 4: they had something.
- 28:10Speaker 1: But find Ryan Air the worst airline I.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Flew air lingis because I just couldn't bear to I
- 28:18Speaker 5: had golf club, I had all kinds of ship to
- 28:20Speaker 5: bring I didn't actually have.
- 28:22Speaker 1: They'll give you your golf club back and.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Not melted down lock. Yeah. Ryan Air like they like
- 28:33Speaker 4: like they yeah, they take pride in That's the problem
- 28:36Speaker 4: is like even if something bad happens, like they make
- 28:39Speaker 4: like jokes about it online, get in like a plane
- 28:42Speaker 4: crash and they're like what did you think you were
- 28:44Speaker 4: flying with Ryan?
- 28:48Speaker 5: It's like, all right, well there's a coin slot to
- 28:51Speaker 5: unlock the lavatory. I remember one time you had to
- 28:55Speaker 5: pay to use the bathroom.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Oh that's that's seriously, I'm joking.
- 28:58Speaker 1: No, I was not saying, but I think weirdly they
- 29:01Speaker 1: have like one of the highest profit margins or like
- 29:04Speaker 1: they make like.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Surprise to the bathroom.
- 29:07Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 29:07Speaker 4: I mean you got to pay to go to the
- 29:08Speaker 4: bathroom in Europe though, right at a lot of those bathrooms.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Uh, I didn't see that.
- 29:13Speaker 4: I feel like when I went there there was like
- 29:15Speaker 4: nothing was public, like you got to buy something.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Oh maybe in cafes.
- 29:18Speaker 4: True, And also they have the bathrooms or co ed
- 29:21Speaker 4: right at a lot of places are like taking a
- 29:24Speaker 4: ship next to a girl taking a ship. Oh yeah.
- 29:28Speaker 5: Well, what I did see is that every like large
- 29:32Speaker 5: men's bathroom that I went into, every single one, there
- 29:36Speaker 5: was a woman from Thailand like mopping yeah.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Yeah, not like hello, yeah, just in there?
- 29:43Speaker 5: Is there anyone in here? Like she's just in there
- 29:45Speaker 5: while you're just like pissing on the floor.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that's crazy. What do you pay for no ice though?
- 29:52Speaker 4: Or ace?
- 29:53Speaker 1: That's so insane.
- 29:54Speaker 5: When I in the in the security line, the there
- 29:59Speaker 5: was a guy, an older man. There was a man
- 30:02Speaker 5: in a suit, a full suit suit and tie, designating
- 30:06Speaker 5: that there were two security lines to go to, and
- 30:10Speaker 5: he was just pointing like, go to that one, go
- 30:12Speaker 5: to this one, go to that one, go to this one,
- 30:15Speaker 5: and in front of me an older couple, old woman
- 30:18Speaker 5: and an old man's seventies woman goes to the far
- 30:21Speaker 5: line and then he points for the man to go
- 30:23Speaker 5: to the near line, but he ignored it and went
- 30:25Speaker 5: to the far line and they're French, and the guy
- 30:30Speaker 5: in the suit went like this. He was like who,
- 30:34Speaker 5: and then he goes over and puts his hand on
- 30:37Speaker 5: the man's shoulder. Yeah, and he's like, I told you
- 30:39Speaker 5: to get in that line. And the old man was like, well,
- 30:42Speaker 5: that's my wife. I want to travel with her. Yeah,
- 30:44Speaker 5: And the guy goes you full du monde, which means
- 30:49Speaker 5: you need to ask. And I was like, are you
- 30:54Speaker 5: fucking kidding me? You're treating like a French passenger like
- 30:59Speaker 5: he's a kindergartener over line allocation and he wants to
- 31:03Speaker 5: just travel with his wife. I thought that was really patronizing.
- 31:07Speaker 1: And just telling about how their their culture is.
- 31:10Speaker 5: Yeah, they were just dicks. So when I got on
- 31:13Speaker 5: the flight to Ireland and then got off in Ireland,
- 31:16Speaker 5: I felt like I had gone from North Korea to South.
- 31:20Speaker 4: You were like in like Argo when he's uh he
- 31:23Speaker 4: enters Turkey, yeah, and they're like they're they're serving booze now, yeah, exactly.
- 31:29Speaker 5: It was so nice in Ireland, so blind, so welcoming
- 31:33Speaker 5: speaking English now, you know.
- 31:35Speaker 4: So it was cool.
- 31:37Speaker 1: So last two times ago I went to France, I
- 31:40Speaker 1: was like I would try to use a little bit
- 31:41Speaker 1: of French and people where I felt were dicks to me.
- 31:45Speaker 1: And then the most recent time, I didn't speak a
- 31:48Speaker 1: fucking word of French and I thought I got way
- 31:50Speaker 1: more respect. Yeah, that just like expecting them to speak
- 31:54Speaker 1: English and just being like, yeah, I don't know, Like
- 31:56Speaker 1: I'm visiting, I don't know why that worse at me,
- 31:59Speaker 1: Like I'm I'm here to have a good time and
- 32:01Speaker 1: spend money.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know why that would be something that
- 32:03Speaker 4: they would care about, Like they say that like in
- 32:05Speaker 4: some countries, like people like if you try to use
- 32:07Speaker 4: their language, they got to know it. But it's like
- 32:09Speaker 4: wouldn't you be Like I was walking down the street
- 32:11Speaker 4: and someone came up to me speaking Spanish. I would
- 32:13Speaker 4: just keep walking like I.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Don't know, Well, I just know that like I live
- 32:17Speaker 1: in a touristy area and if somebody is trying their
- 32:20Speaker 1: best to speak with me, I'm going to be very
- 32:22Speaker 1: nice to them. Yeah, And so I just like can't
- 32:24Speaker 1: like let it abide. That's just like yeah, like that's
- 32:27Speaker 1: just how they are, Like you just have to be
- 32:29Speaker 1: rude to someone who tries to speak your language.
- 32:31Speaker 4: Yeah. I just feel like they're going this step to
- 32:34Speaker 4: try to make it easier for you. Like if you're
- 32:37Speaker 4: going up to someone trying to speak their native language. Yes,
- 32:41Speaker 4: it's like more of like them trying to help you out. Yeah,
- 32:43Speaker 4: while asking a question, going up and being like, yo,
- 32:48Speaker 4: where is the lou vat and.
- 32:51Speaker 1: You're like, oh, you fucking idiot, you have to ask.
- 32:57Speaker 5: But conversely, imagine and if someone from like Mexico came
- 33:03Speaker 5: up to you in the streets of Brooklyn. Yeah, it
- 33:05Speaker 5: was like speaking to you in Spanish asking for directions.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I would be like I don't know, Yeah, I know.
- 33:12Speaker 5: But if you did that, if someone that's we're more
- 33:15Speaker 5: likely to be annoyed in America if someone spoke to
- 33:17Speaker 5: us in another language, we yeah, get mad about that. Yeah,
- 33:20Speaker 5: I guess that is true. It's like we don't speak that.
- 33:24Speaker 1: At Geno's Cheese Steaks in Philly, it used to be
- 33:27Speaker 1: like order in English, only sign on the But I
- 33:31Speaker 1: think the French, especially in like touristy areas, like pride
- 33:35Speaker 1: themselves on being able to speak English.
- 33:38Speaker 5: That's my point though, it's the opposite. Yes, yes, yes,
- 33:41Speaker 5: it's like don't speak the native language, right that.
- 33:46Speaker 1: We're too dumb to understand what your dumbass is saying. Yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 1: Wrenich is sacred.
- 33:52Speaker 5: I really that's how they that's how they feel.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Like you probably speak beautiful French and they hear like
- 33:58Speaker 1: the lightest American accent and they're like.
- 34:01Speaker 5: Dude, I'm telling you, it's not even the it's just
- 34:06Speaker 5: the fact that I have read here and I'm clearly
- 34:08Speaker 5: not French that makes them annoyed that I'm around.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Yeah, it's cigarette a sunken chest.
- 34:19Speaker 5: Like it's such a big city, like the most touristy
- 34:21Speaker 5: city I've ever been to. So maybe that's part of
- 34:24Speaker 5: the problem. I don't know.
- 34:26Speaker 4: I just can't imagine. That's like moving to New York
- 34:28Speaker 4: and going to Times Square and being like, what the
- 34:31Speaker 4: fuck happened to this city? There's a fucking Elmo, Yeah,
- 34:36Speaker 4: transplants everywhere.
- 34:38Speaker 1: It's like yeah, but also like from eight years ago
- 34:42Speaker 1: when France won the World Cup, we were over there
- 34:45Speaker 1: and like as they're winning, they're like driving through the
- 34:48Speaker 1: fucking streets like the wild Boys and everybody hanging out
- 34:51Speaker 1: of the cars. None of them are like white native
- 34:57Speaker 1: like French people. No, France is like especially right now,
- 35:01Speaker 1: like there's an influx of all different types of like
- 35:04Speaker 1: cultures in France, but.
- 35:05Speaker 5: They don't like that there's there. They're the most races
- 35:08Speaker 5: towards like Algerian immigrants of any country. I believe they're
- 35:13Speaker 5: pretty up there. They have like full blown race wars.
- 35:16Speaker 4: In the streets.
- 35:16Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's all you know, Yeah, it's all like
- 35:19Speaker 5: their former colonies.
- 35:21Speaker 4: Yeah, makes sense.
- 35:22Speaker 1: We taught you how to speak France and now you're
- 35:24Speaker 1: coming to speak France here. Yeah, what did what did
- 35:27Speaker 1: you eat? And what did you buy over there? Did
- 35:29Speaker 1: you cop a suit for the Martha's Vineyard wedding? I
- 35:31Speaker 1: know you were thinking about getting something custom.
- 35:33Speaker 5: No, I couldn't. I couldn't. I went into a custom
- 35:36Speaker 5: shirt shop called well, I can't remember. Yeah, it's like
- 35:43Speaker 5: very famous, but I can't remember exactly what it was called.
- 35:47Speaker 5: But the guy was like, yeah, you know, if we
- 35:49Speaker 5: were to do a custom shirt, you have to come
- 35:51Speaker 5: in four times through the process of building it in
- 35:53Speaker 5: order for us to make sure it's too many molding
- 35:56Speaker 5: correctly over and this would take like eight weeks.
- 35:58Speaker 1: My body would look different, I'm telling.
- 36:01Speaker 5: You, I I am. That's the other thing. I was like,
- 36:05Speaker 5: I can't get fit for a fucking suit right now. Yeah,
- 36:09Speaker 5: I'm not gonna look this way in a year or two.
- 36:13Speaker 5: Right now, my shoulders and my I'm just bigger than
- 36:16Speaker 5: i've ever been. So you think you're gonna lose weight,
- 36:19Speaker 5: I'll lose muscle. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna fall apart.
- 36:22Speaker 5: I'll get injured, and then I'll be.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Like, get you're gonna get injured.
- 36:27Speaker 5: You start riding a peloton and then I'm gonna just shrink.
- 36:29Speaker 5: It's gonna happen.
- 36:31Speaker 4: That's what always happened. That is really what happens to people.
- 36:33Speaker 5: It's what always happens. Yeah, I have to resort to
- 36:35Speaker 5: cardio to get my exercise, and.
- 36:38Speaker 4: I feel like that happens to every Like so many people.
- 36:40Speaker 4: They get big and then they get hurt, and then
- 36:41Speaker 4: they just start running and then they get so the skin.
- 36:43Speaker 5: I've been through this many times. This is what's going
- 36:45Speaker 5: to happen.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Top, Well, what do you think the injury is gonna
- 36:48Speaker 4: be shoulders? We'll just take it easy on the shoulders.
- 36:51Speaker 4: Then you can't, like, the shoulders are pretty big in
- 36:54Speaker 4: like a fat injury.
- 36:56Speaker 5: Every day is bolder shoulder day.
- 36:58Speaker 4: And you're definitely gonna get injured.
- 37:00Speaker 5: Can't ignore bolder shoulders.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I know you're bailing hay out in fucking France.
- 37:04Speaker 5: Yeah, that's it.
- 37:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:05Speaker 5: What were the workouts like out there?
- 37:07Speaker 1: Uh?
- 37:07Speaker 5: Well, in Paris, I got a couple of my hotel done.
- 37:11Speaker 5: They didn't have hea kettlebells. Yeah, so I was just
- 37:14Speaker 5: throwing dumbells around, like cleaning dumbbells and stuff.
- 37:17Speaker 4: But I did.
- 37:19Speaker 5: I did manage to complete the Rogan kettlebell workout Saturday
- 37:24Speaker 5: morning before I went to Martha's vineyard. Uh, with fifty three's,
- 37:27Speaker 5: which I was pretty excited about.
- 37:29Speaker 1: That's insane.
- 37:30Speaker 5: That's two that I did it with two Rogans, one
- 37:32Speaker 5: in each hand. Damn, the whole workout crazy. Wait, no
- 37:36Speaker 5: it's not. It's not simultaneous. I'm sorry. I just had
- 37:38Speaker 5: one fifty three. But you're doing well. You do the
- 37:41Speaker 5: Renegade rose with him?
- 37:42Speaker 4: Anyway? The Renegade rows.
- 37:44Speaker 1: That's fucking insane.
- 37:45Speaker 4: The Rogan's heavy. I can't imagine doing too. What did
- 37:48Speaker 4: you can't imagine doing one? To be honest, let's shift.
- 37:51Speaker 1: What'd you eat and where'd you stay?
- 37:52Speaker 4: No?
- 37:52Speaker 1: I'm not done.
- 37:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I need to live up.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Have you guys get to travel?
- 37:57Speaker 5: I saw so many things literally, not about saying.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Thing in my life has changed the last time, Shirt, I.
- 38:04Speaker 5: Haven't seen you since you won, since fucking Bush won.
- 38:08Speaker 4: Yeah, we're on to Paris now, unfortunately.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Yeah, he's about to be in Paris.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Are you gonna go?
- 38:12Speaker 3: No?
- 38:13Speaker 4: No, why not? Too expensive for you, for everybody.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Not for you.
- 38:19Speaker 4: The team can't go. No, the team will go, but
- 38:21Speaker 4: they'll go by themselves. We'll send them there and put
- 38:24Speaker 4: them in like a hotel. Somebody needs to be there.
- 38:26Speaker 4: We're gonna they're thinking about sending one of our guys
- 38:29Speaker 4: to go and just like cover everything and make sure
- 38:31Speaker 4: that the boys are behaving.
- 38:32Speaker 5: Why don't I go? It's a great because I can
- 38:34Speaker 5: translate for them. It's a great idea. I mean, we
- 38:38Speaker 5: we'd be thrilled. I saw some of them the way
- 38:41Speaker 5: they speak. They weren't as sort of monosyllabic as I thought, Well,
- 38:45Speaker 5: they were better spoken. Then you let led me to believe.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Where did you see them speak again? Like it was
- 38:52Speaker 5: in the clip the video you put out.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Like yes, like the interviews of them and stuff. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:57Speaker 4: you got to hear them talk, just like in a
- 38:59Speaker 4: casual comment versation because you want you would you would
- 39:02Speaker 4: not be able to understand a word they were saying. Really, Yeah,
- 39:05Speaker 4: like the way they talk you.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Wanted to translate to you.
- 39:09Speaker 4: That's a good idea. Yeah, the way they talk, the
- 39:12Speaker 4: things that they like, the words they use, it's like
- 39:16Speaker 4: a foreign language.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Well where did you pick up? Similar to him talking
- 39:19Speaker 1: about like and we, I.
- 39:22Speaker 4: Mean the biggest thing is like they just say that
- 39:23Speaker 4: they're checked. That's the biggest one.
- 39:25Speaker 5: Checked, checked, checked. I mean it's tired.
- 39:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it just means they give up. Oh, like they're done,
- 39:31Speaker 4: I'm checked, checked check check. To me, they're very sensitive.
- 39:36Speaker 4: They are. You got to treat them like you got
- 39:40Speaker 4: to make sure they don't get checked. But they get
- 39:44Speaker 4: checked at the littlest things. You could ask them the
- 39:47Speaker 4: wrong question and they're like that just checked me out
- 39:49Speaker 4: for the whole day, and you're like, oh my god,
- 39:50Speaker 4: I don't know what I did. Damn.
- 39:54Speaker 5: That sucks.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, so it's gotta walk on eggshells.
- 39:58Speaker 5: But then again, I think they're something to be said
- 40:01Speaker 5: that if you are, if you have found a way
- 40:03Speaker 5: to make a living playing video games, yeah, there's no
- 40:06Speaker 5: reason to think that the world is ever gonna be hard.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, I mean I think they like they all
- 40:13Speaker 4: like they have made a living playing video games, but
- 40:15Speaker 4: they all want to get to the Pro league so
- 40:16Speaker 4: they can actually make like a real living playing video.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Fine, make check I get that, But they're not gonna
- 40:21Speaker 5: be willing. Like they're on the track, yeah, to the
- 40:25Speaker 5: point where like if someone was like, hey man, you
- 40:28Speaker 5: need to take out the trash, they'd be like, I'm
- 40:30Speaker 5: too checked for that.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Yeah, now that doesn't get done.
- 40:32Speaker 1: There's like a six to sixth dude who like is
- 40:35Speaker 1: like on a track to make the NBA, who's like
- 40:37Speaker 1: a top prospect or something. It's like, yeah, you're gonna
- 40:39Speaker 1: probably make the NBA and you can have people do
- 40:41Speaker 1: stuff for you.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Yeah. They also just don't know anything, Like they only
- 40:45Speaker 4: know cod they only know the game. Yeah, but I
- 40:49Speaker 4: mean it makes sense like they've the whole entire life
- 40:51Speaker 4: they've been like they to write today, they're probably playing
- 40:54Speaker 4: the game for like twelve hours today, So it's like
- 40:57Speaker 4: there's not really much other opportunity to know other stuff exactly.
- 41:00Speaker 5: Yeah, the world has forced them into a chair. Yeah,
- 41:04Speaker 5: and to face the screen devoid of human interaction.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean they're interacting. I mean they talk to
- 41:10Speaker 4: each other non stop. But it's not very about God.
- 41:13Speaker 4: Now they talk about it. I mean they're in their
- 41:15Speaker 4: discord the entire day. Oh, just chopping it up. Okay,
- 41:19Speaker 4: but you know then something will happen and they'll get
- 41:22Speaker 4: checked and then yeah, trying to reset.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Okay. Let's talk about Tempo meals. This time of year,

- 43:17Speaker 5: I want the Knicks to win. But I think that
- 43:19Speaker 5: given how much hype and glamour there is around the Knicks,

- 44:53Speaker 1: since they said that that prive Pool's four million.
- 44:56Speaker 4: Four million.
- 45:00Speaker 5: No, yeah, are you fucking with me that you didn't
- 45:03Speaker 5: see that?
- 45:03Speaker 3: No?
- 45:04Speaker 4: Four million, four million bucks? Oh my god, Yeah.
- 45:09Speaker 5: I did the math already. I presume it's gonna be
- 45:12Speaker 5: similar format and split. You would walk away with what
- 45:14Speaker 5: like after taxes? Yeah, I think'd be eight sixty six.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Oh my god, you got to just stop quit the podcast, bro,
- 45:24Speaker 4: This is your last episode on what we're putting all
- 45:26Speaker 4: of your funds into I know, I know.
- 45:29Speaker 1: We will like go to the course and like yeah,
- 45:32Speaker 1: whatever you need, coach you.
- 45:33Speaker 4: We don't want you to be checked.
- 45:34Speaker 1: We just want to make sure that you're like dialed.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you're on the Bush schedule.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Now.
- 45:38Speaker 5: The thing is is that I think we're gonna have
- 45:41Speaker 5: unreally unrealistic expectations given that I won it last year.
- 45:45Speaker 5: I think it's it's even less likely that I went
- 45:48Speaker 5: at this time because there's a bigger field.
- 45:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that's I mean, is how did they get four million?
- 45:54Speaker 4: Is a day of putting it in? Or is it
- 45:56Speaker 4: like do they have a bigger sponsor attached to it
- 45:57Speaker 4: or what? You like? I guess the views last year?
- 46:02Speaker 1: What you got?
- 46:03Speaker 4: This?
- 46:03Speaker 5: What a brand should pay to sponsor this thing? I
- 46:08Speaker 5: don't know that there's a high enough number. I mean
- 46:10Speaker 5: it's like a real imagine. Imagine if you put like
- 46:14Speaker 5: fifty of the biggest influencers in a field in one
- 46:18Speaker 5: room and then filmed the main product, and then every
- 46:22Speaker 5: single one of them individually posted in this sort of
- 46:27Speaker 5: creating this spider web of yeah, like viral, never ending
- 46:32Speaker 5: fucking promotion, all of which has images and stamps of
- 46:37Speaker 5: brands on it fol might be light, it's it's truly
- 46:42Speaker 5: like the best thing you could sponsor, at least in
- 46:45Speaker 5: that space of anything. Ever.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely, I mean that's like that, Like we looked
- 46:51Speaker 4: up how what was the Master's payout? Well, the whole pool.
- 46:56Speaker 5: For the Masters is like I think seventeen or something. Yeah,
- 47:00Speaker 5: Goes gets like three point seven or four ish, I
- 47:03Speaker 5: don't know, something like that.
- 47:04Speaker 4: I mean that's like your winner gets four and a
- 47:06Speaker 4: half but not too far off, or.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Like it's like come in, come in six in the Masters,
- 47:12Speaker 1: or like win the Internet animation. Yeah, and aren't there.
- 47:17Speaker 1: It's like more. It pays more than like every Asian
- 47:21Speaker 1: tour stop or something like that, or like there's like
- 47:24Speaker 1: there's several pro things that it eclipses fully, which is amazing. Yeah,
- 47:31Speaker 1: So you wish like like you have a good golf swing,
- 47:34Speaker 1: you used to play golf and like all you did
- 47:37Speaker 1: was stop.
- 47:38Speaker 4: Yeah. But the upping the prize to four million, like
- 47:41Speaker 4: the competition is going to go up.
- 47:43Speaker 1: They don't have enough better blockers.
- 47:47Speaker 5: There are there will still be people of your caliber
- 47:51Speaker 5: in the tournament though towards the end.
- 47:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:54Speaker 5: Yeah, the semi finals last year had, you know, Josh Richards,
- 47:59Speaker 5: who actual played quite well but was very new to golf. Yeah,
- 48:03Speaker 5: as well as a couple of other people who you know,
- 48:06Speaker 5: it was. It's not the way it works in the
- 48:09Speaker 5: team building and stuff like that. There's necessarily going to
- 48:12Speaker 5: be lower players that are making it to the end.
- 48:17Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, I'm mine. I'm mind blown by that. Yeah,
- 48:21Speaker 4: I know it's pretty insane. Was I haven't really been
- 48:24Speaker 4: online much this weekend, but that that is insane?
- 48:28Speaker 1: How much of the field? Did you guys talk a
- 48:30Speaker 1: lot about what the field is while you were over there,
- 48:32Speaker 1: Like who's going to be in it? Because I would
- 48:34Speaker 1: like you to guess about it, but if you know,
- 48:35Speaker 1: I don't want to spoil it.
- 48:37Speaker 4: What who's going to be in the invitation? Doesn't that
- 48:39Speaker 4: come out today?
- 48:41Speaker 1: Well? Jason Williams got his invite last week?
- 48:43Speaker 4: Yeah, but doesn't like has it been released? Who's like playing?
- 48:47Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 48:48Speaker 4: I want to say it comes out today, right, got
- 48:54Speaker 4: it so we can talk about it?
- 48:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean people have been showing their their invitations,
- 48:59Speaker 5: so I presume Sasians are sick.
- 49:03Speaker 4: I mean it's not far off.
- 49:06Speaker 1: So is there anybody that's like whoa like he's doing it.
- 49:12Speaker 5: I mean, in truth, I don't actually know a lot
- 49:15Speaker 5: of the people that they.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Added Lebron doing it. That's the big question.
- 49:19Speaker 5: Questionn Lebron's not doing it.
- 49:22Speaker 4: Not enough money for him, or he's just not good enough.
- 49:25Speaker 1: He probably just didn't make the cover.
- 49:27Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, I bet Lebron makes eight hundred and sixty
- 49:29Speaker 5: six thousand dollars a day.
- 49:33Speaker 4: You don't want another They want to double that in
- 49:34Speaker 4: a day.
- 49:35Speaker 5: If it took him a full week to make that,
- 49:38Speaker 5: he'd be like, I'm losing money.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but.
- 49:43Speaker 5: I'm costing my enterprise.
- 49:46Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, this will be the closest that anyone
- 49:49Speaker 4: in this I mean obviously outside of people that are
- 49:52Speaker 4: actually pros. Well, this is the closest you'll get to
- 49:54Speaker 4: playing in like a real like PGA tournament. I mean,
- 49:59Speaker 4: there's a know other tournament on the planet that is
- 50:02Speaker 4: paying this much for the people that are in it. Correct,
- 50:05Speaker 4: it's crazy.
- 50:06Speaker 1: And well the same people, Like what do you think
- 50:07Speaker 1: that Gruden and wit like and all all of them
- 50:11Speaker 1: will be back.
- 50:12Speaker 5: I think so.
- 50:13Speaker 1: So no one's gonna get really like classed out of it.
- 50:16Speaker 1: From the barstool side, I don't think. So do you
- 50:19Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 50:20Speaker 4: I mean, this is gonna like this has like you
- 50:22Speaker 4: you must be thinking about like training already.
- 50:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like this is gonna up the state.
- 50:27Speaker 5: I'm not good right now. I'm way worse right now
- 50:31Speaker 5: than I was when I played in it last year.
- 50:33Speaker 4: Yeah, it takes me.
- 50:35Speaker 5: It takes me the summer to like fucking work on
- 50:38Speaker 5: my short game and ship.
- 50:40Speaker 4: And men to move upstate for the summer so we
- 50:43Speaker 4: can all just like get you in the right space.
- 50:45Speaker 1: I'll bring my family.
- 50:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm fully I'm up, totally fine, just packing it
- 50:49Speaker 4: up and moving up there.
- 50:50Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, do you think any anything gets.
- 50:52Speaker 4: You close to the core?
- 50:53Speaker 5: I know, I know I'm going to be working on it.
- 50:55Speaker 5: I'm going to be down when if.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Your neighbors could we maybe like sub let their place
- 51:00Speaker 1: and like a home base training facility, you know, like
- 51:06Speaker 1: diet dietitian, stretching, appliability, mobility, all the stuff.
- 51:10Speaker 5: That I should probably lay off, the shoulder stuff, because
- 51:15Speaker 5: I think that's actually affecting my flexibility and my swing.
- 51:18Speaker 5: We're putting it ends to that immediately, my shoulders are
- 51:20Speaker 5: getting in the way of my golf.
- 51:22Speaker 4: We're going to have.
- 51:22Speaker 1: You podcasting from a peloton.
- 51:25Speaker 4: With like the fucking wires all attached to you, sticky.
- 51:30Speaker 5: Boxygen deprivation as that's.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Great, And what course is it out? Where is it again?
- 51:36Speaker 5: It's a big seater again, same place?
- 51:38Speaker 1: Which was what state?
- 51:39Speaker 4: It's in?
- 51:40Speaker 5: Missouri?
- 51:41Speaker 1: Yeah, they got it's going to be salivating. What kind
- 51:44Speaker 1: of sponsors are we talking to? Maybe we could grease
- 51:46Speaker 1: the wheels, like how can we cheat?
- 51:48Speaker 4: There's got to be a way to cheat or at
- 51:49Speaker 4: least get like a better team rangefinders.
- 51:53Speaker 5: Or you know what I'm interested in is this? So
- 51:57Speaker 5: last year Dave had all those sort of side bet
- 52:00Speaker 5: propositions that everyone turned down. But the truth is that
- 52:06Speaker 5: as you're playing, there should be moments where the like
- 52:11Speaker 5: value proposition of that outweighs not taking it and buying
- 52:16Speaker 5: for the ultimate prize. Yeah, like, let's put it this way.
- 52:20Speaker 5: If there's a scenario put another way mathematically. I'm not
- 52:27Speaker 5: good at math, but I know for the that it
- 52:30Speaker 5: should be the case that if if there's like whatever,
- 52:32Speaker 5: say sixteen players left, and you win a match and
- 52:36Speaker 5: you knock I don't know, two players out of it
- 52:40Speaker 5: or like four players out of it, or something like that,
- 52:43Speaker 5: and then Dave says, okay, like you can go on
- 52:46Speaker 5: to the final twelve, or you can replay a whole
- 52:51Speaker 5: winner gets two hundred and fifty grand. There's a scenario
- 52:55Speaker 5: where you're supposed to take that. Oh, I see what
- 52:58Speaker 5: you mean, because you have a fifty to fifty shot
- 53:00Speaker 5: winning two hundred and fifty grand, or you have like
- 53:02Speaker 5: a one in six of making eight hundred and sixty six.
- 53:06Speaker 5: I don't know exactly where you know. Hopefully someone can
- 53:09Speaker 5: elucidate the proper way of looking at that, but there
- 53:13Speaker 5: is a number where you're supposed to accept that early bid.
- 53:17Speaker 4: Yeah. So it's so what you're saying is like, is
- 53:20Speaker 4: that they didn't do that last year, and people should
- 53:22Speaker 4: do that this year.
- 53:24Speaker 5: We should consider it more. I think that the way
- 53:26Speaker 5: he offered it last year, I don't know that any
- 53:30Speaker 5: of those offers actually were like worth it, worth it,
- 53:35Speaker 5: but but I suspect that this year they will be.
- 53:38Speaker 4: I'm sure I want to know that.
- 53:40Speaker 5: I want to know the calculus so that I can
- 53:42Speaker 5: convince my teammates like we are supposed to take this
- 53:45Speaker 5: and then watch us lose and have them be furious
- 53:48Speaker 5: with me.
- 53:48Speaker 4: Let's make that clear right now, you're not taking anything.
- 53:52Speaker 5: If you if you have if it's you and like
- 53:55Speaker 5: a teammate, right and you've won your match and you
- 54:01Speaker 5: are going on to the final thirty two players. Yeah,
- 54:05Speaker 5: and Dave's like, okay, you can do that, or you
- 54:07Speaker 5: can replay this hole against that team for one hundred
- 54:10Speaker 5: thousand dollars. You're supposed to take that. I'm pretty sure
- 54:15Speaker 5: you have a fifty to fifty at fifty grand one
- 54:19Speaker 5: hundred grand, if it's two, I don't know. You're supposed
- 54:22Speaker 5: to take that? Yeah, I guess as supposed to what
- 54:24Speaker 5: a one, A three and thirty two of eight hundred
- 54:28Speaker 5: and sixty six of one point seven.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Well, people also have the diluted self confidence. Yeah, they're
- 54:35Speaker 1: gonna or you want to play for the big prize,
- 54:38Speaker 1: you know nobody wants to take. It's like deal or
- 54:39Speaker 1: no deal. Like you don't want to take the consolation prize.
- 54:43Speaker 1: You're like, I want to get the big money, big money, but.
- 54:45Speaker 5: You're forgetting that. You could still win that two hundred
- 54:47Speaker 5: thousand dollars and keep going on.
- 54:50Speaker 4: Yes, Oh so if you win, you keep you keep
- 54:52Speaker 4: going and you get the money. Yeah, definitely take that.
- 54:57Speaker 5: Yeah, but nobody did because everyone thought we've worked hard
- 55:00Speaker 5: to put ourselves through. Yeah, we're not going to put
- 55:03Speaker 5: that at risk now, but it's just another hole, just
- 55:06Speaker 5: another hole.
- 55:07Speaker 4: Was it like, was it like a somewhat of like
- 55:11Speaker 4: a miracle last year that someone from that you won
- 55:14Speaker 4: that like a barstool person won.
- 55:15Speaker 1: It was him Beef and Frankie in the final, So
- 55:17Speaker 1: it was like.
- 55:18Speaker 4: But like it was there a chance that this year,
- 55:20Speaker 4: like would there is there a chance that like some
- 55:22Speaker 4: random fucking for sure because none of the Bob Does
- 55:25Speaker 4: cold cuts might be walking away with fucking four mil
- 55:28Speaker 4: and THEO.
- 55:28Speaker 5: Be honest with you, I hope that he does. I
- 55:32Speaker 5: want there to be more like Bob Does guys. One
- 55:36Speaker 5: of the big problems last year was that all of
- 55:39Speaker 5: the Bob Does guys were on one side and all
- 55:41Speaker 5: of the Barstool guys were on the other side. So
- 55:43Speaker 5: on the first day all the Bob Does guys were eliminated. Yeah,
- 55:47Speaker 5: and you want to hold their audience, yeah, in the
- 55:50Speaker 5: tournament as long as you can. Yeah, they should split
- 55:53Speaker 5: that up. But dude, there's I mean, there's gigantic stars
- 55:56Speaker 5: even since last year, like Grant Horvat has grown hugely,
- 55:59Speaker 5: Like all these people have become bigger and bigger and bigger.
- 56:03Speaker 4: So is there like who would you say is like
- 56:05Speaker 4: the biggest addition or you don't know.
- 56:08Speaker 5: That's the problem. There's there's like a couple guys from
- 56:11Speaker 5: like South Africa, Korea that are huge stars. There's some
- 56:16Speaker 5: guy named Ruffles I think, who made the cut at
- 56:19Speaker 5: a PGA Tour event recently. Like he's a legitimate fucking pro. Yeah,
- 56:26Speaker 5: and you're like, well, okay, well then why are you.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Named after a bag of chips? If you're a pro,
- 56:31Speaker 1: why are you Joey Cole cuts Ruffles.
- 56:33Speaker 5: I think he'll be better than Brad Dalky.
- 56:36Speaker 4: Yeah, that's kind of weird. I don't know how I
- 56:38Speaker 4: feel about that.
- 56:39Speaker 5: Well, he's a YouTuber and went into one of the
- 56:41Speaker 5: tournaments and then did well, so he's not technically a
- 56:45Speaker 5: tour pro.
- 56:45Speaker 4: Brad he was like just like just like on the
- 56:47Speaker 4: tour and he's like, I'm going to go just win
- 56:49Speaker 4: this four mil real quick.
- 56:50Speaker 5: And I think he got a sponsor's exemption. But Brad's
- 56:52Speaker 5: also gotten one of those for a tournament coming up.
- 56:55Speaker 4: Damn. That's crazy.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's going to be so awesome.
- 56:59Speaker 4: Yeah, that's gonna be real really good.
- 57:00Speaker 5: Do we want to plug neighbors? What's going on here? Awesome?
- 57:05Speaker 5: Shoutout neighbors.
- 57:05Speaker 1: That's what Harry's new favorite hat teams? What's their shirt?
- 57:10Speaker 4: Team? Spirit?
- 57:11Speaker 1: Holy shit?
- 57:11Speaker 4: Counter Strike? Oh nice, shout out Dunk Cool the Goat.
- 57:16Speaker 1: Trent just showed up at the office, Barcel, Trent? Did
- 57:21Speaker 1: he he's here?
- 57:22Speaker 4: I don't know. Did you get like an email?
- 57:23Speaker 1: Guy just got a text like breaking news? I thought
- 57:26Speaker 1: someone got shot or something like that.
- 57:29Speaker 4: Is that a big deal? I feel like Trent's here
- 57:31Speaker 4: a decent amount. I never never see him once in
- 57:34Speaker 4: a while.
- 57:35Speaker 1: You don't.
- 57:36Speaker 5: I had an awesome time with Trent. Oh, of course.
- 57:39Speaker 5: I love hanging out with Trent the man. He's so positive,
- 57:43Speaker 5: he's so fun, and he also just is a man
- 57:46Speaker 5: who will not suffer any sort of disruption of what
- 57:50Speaker 5: he wants to do. But he's now annoying about it.
- 57:53Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 57:54Speaker 5: It's like, Hey, we're all going out to dinner, He's like.
- 57:56Speaker 4: Go no, yeah, and he just orders room dominos a
- 58:03Speaker 4: couple of times.
- 58:04Speaker 5: That's probably great, and it's like nobody's going to give
- 58:06Speaker 5: him a hard time about it because we all know
- 58:08Speaker 5: he's an immovable object.
- 58:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I found it inspiring. Yeah, he's told me about it.
- 58:13Speaker 4: He told us about that when we were in Florida,
- 58:15Speaker 4: that he does that. Yeah, he like doesn't like they'll
- 58:17Speaker 4: be like, we're going out. He's like, I'm not going.
- 58:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not period, I'm not. I mean no, it's
- 58:24Speaker 5: just not going to come. And it's like, yeah, nobody's
- 58:26Speaker 5: even mad about it. I suffer so much from the
- 58:31Speaker 5: guilt of saying no to people about things, and I
- 58:35Speaker 5: think that you have to just push through a few
- 58:38Speaker 5: layers of making people upset until you reach that cruising
- 58:43Speaker 5: altitude of not being reliable. That's me. Yes, yeah, well
- 58:47Speaker 5: I still get frustrated with you.
- 58:49Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's because I have to be reliable. Now.
- 58:51Speaker 1: You wish you were Trent. You don't have that.
- 58:53Speaker 4: I don't think I've reached that level of that aura.
- 58:57Speaker 5: It's almost charming.
- 58:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:00Speaker 5: No, don't don't bother him. Yeah, he needs to go
- 59:02Speaker 5: eat dominos.
- 59:03Speaker 4: And so did he go out at all with you guys?
- 59:05Speaker 5: Like, yeah, I did a few times. But here's an example.
- 59:08Speaker 5: That night we went out in Killarney where we had
- 59:10Speaker 5: all those fucking crazy experiences. I was so tired that
- 59:15Speaker 5: I went back to my uh hotel room and napped
- 59:19Speaker 5: and all of them went out, and I texted them.
- 59:21Speaker 5: I was like, I'm gonna take a power now. This
- 59:23Speaker 5: was at like eight forty five pm that I went
- 59:25Speaker 5: to sleep and I set an alarm for twenty five minutes,
- 59:29Speaker 5: and they all took bets. They were like, there's no
- 59:31Speaker 5: chance Francis makes it up. Yeah, and Rigs, to his credit,
- 59:35Speaker 5: was like, he's gonna be here. And I set my alarm,
- 59:38Speaker 5: it went off.
- 59:39Speaker 4: I woke up.
- 59:39Speaker 5: I was delirious, but I was like, I think all
- 59:43Speaker 5: of them made it out. I have to go. Yeah, showered,
- 59:47Speaker 5: showed up. They were all so pumped way and then
- 59:51Speaker 5: we had a great night.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Trent was there, well, he thought through, Yeah, what an
- 59:57Speaker 1: absolute beast.
- 59:58Speaker 5: We ate a lot of ice cream. We went out here.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I was going to ask what the desserts were over there,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: because I know that he is a dessert fiend.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: Yeah, he found cheesecake. He went on a cheesecake tear.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Found cheesecake like it's a precious stone. Yeah.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: He started finding like that that they made cheesecake a
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: lot of places, and that was what he was going for.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: Is he good. I didn't end up.
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: I had a bite of one of his that was
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: very good. Yeah, the ice cream left a lot to
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: be desired.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I thought, Yeah, it's interesting because they have all those cows.
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: They have the cows, they just don't make it as
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: well as we do.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: We're geniuses with it.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: They don't got that secret sauce corn syrup.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: They don't have the milk fat. Yeah. Yeah, they don't
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: have percent milk fat like the creamery up at Penn State.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: The milk fat is so high there that it can't
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: even be FDA approved, not even a food. It's not
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: even classified as a food because it's so fatty, nice
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: milk fat, nothing like some nice milk fat. We got
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: to bang out another episode later on, So should we
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: call this one?
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: What are we at?
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Never mind? No, sir, the shot that we were over
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: an hour?
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: You thought wrong?
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Dave hit me back.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: What did pred say?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: He said that? Uh, he said he's still trying to
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: get braun.
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: Oh really, yeah, he's working on it.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: He's still working.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: He's fine out to La today. You're going to meet up. Yeah,
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: he's going to pitch him get to the bottom of it.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I think he's about to sign sign with the Clippers.
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: Is there any uh That was my other question I
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: was gonna ask. I asked, if there's anyone big adding
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: it being added? Is there anyone that's not going to
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: be there that was there last year? That's like kind
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: of like a big.
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: Yeah, there are people that last.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: Year second place cruise got to be what do you
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: mean acted from the first day of the age and Frankie,
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: oh maybe yeah.
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: Oh the team in the final, they're all back.
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: They're all back.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: Love that, love that. I think that too. I presume
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: that I will be knocked out early. From a karmic perspective,
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: I've won the first year. There's no chance that I'm
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: going deep this year. Back drunk style. I'm excited to
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: ride around in a cart with Daltouche and just provide
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: commentary on what's happening with him, because you know that
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: that was how he made a big name for himself.
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: In addition to playing Apex Apex as much as he did,
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: he would live stream and comment as he drank heavily
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: on tournaments.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: On Apex or just anything.
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: I'm not sure which game it was, but that was
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: a big thing, Like yeah, yeah, he would get super
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: drunk and just talk shit about whatever was happening.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Well, can we do that from the boy Dad Channel?
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: If you get smoked? Can we just like have a
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: boy dad have somebody to follow you around and put it?
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Sounds like this is kind of Daltutie's thing though, No.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Yeah, with video games, daltuche doesn't own commenting on things.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: We can't just like crack some jokes and like follow
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: you around and that would quick fun, a quick million
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: US for the boy Dad Channel.
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not against it.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Francis does it, and we just have like a crate
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: a wacky supercut, you know.
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: You know, we can't put it out until the whole
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: thing comes out.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Yeah, of cour, I'm not saying live just like a
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: wacky supercut. I'm supposed to shoot it last year.
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: I am totally down.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: We're shooting it this year.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: You're coming back?
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: Oh hell yeah? Oh he has his own guy, of course.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: Well maybe all maybe I'll be in a car with Jaywell,
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: I'd like to play with him. I invited him to
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: come play bayone with me both this week and next week,
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: and he turned me bound down for both.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Because his daughter's in there.
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: A lot going on with softball right now.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Yeah, turndown is a turndown. I mean, like, you don't
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: get unlimited bites at the Apple. Bayone is the one.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: He was cooling about bayone, though he was saying how
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: fucking amazing and beautiful it is. He was actually pocket
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: watching you. He was like, how much do you think
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: it costs for Francis to be at bayone?
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: I just like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: I joined nine years ago, just like literally uitimately one
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: third of the price of what it is now.
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: Really, damn, it's an investment. Can you sell your spot?
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: It used to be that way. You paid a bond
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: like a taxi medallion.
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: Yeah, and then when you left the club you would
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: get your bond back if another member joined.
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: Oh that's nice. Security deposit, yeah exactly. I got my
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: full security deposit back. Really, yep, pretty huge.
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: How's your place?
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: It's nice?
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: Are you feeling happy about it?
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: I like it. It's nice.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: You don't feel removed, No, not at all. Do you
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: feel unmotivated to come into the city to do spots
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: given how far away you live?
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: Now? No, the train's so easy.
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: Because I was I went and looked at an apartment
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: in the West Village. Oh really yesterday?
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: Oh was it mine? That would be hilarious, wouldn't that
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: be funny?
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: Yeah, just to fill it with sand.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: Devastating?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Oh my god, you.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: So are you gonna move to the West Village.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Oh my god, you have to fill it with sand.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I'll go halves on you if we can.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: Fill it with sand.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I know you're saying, guy, the ceilings are too tall.
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: You guys won't know.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: You gotta you have to win the invitational just so
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: you can fill it with sand.
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: It would probably cost the whole thing signa. I mean,
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: it's a lot of sand.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: You're about to be back in the West Village, You're
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: leaving Brooklyn behind, no correct.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: On work Island like that.
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: I thought about it because I thought to myself that
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: being in this city would make would remove this barrier
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: that I currently have of going to do spots that
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: this has been so fatiguing. I can't get home after
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: work and then going back in it's just a nightmare.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: Yeah, it's awful.
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: So I end up staying in the city and like
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: working out a fucking yeah, just burning money.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: And yeah, I'll be honest, I've kind of been on
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: a little bit of a sabbatical since I phone the tape.
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: I taped the special and then we won the champs
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: or we won the tournament. Yeah, I didn't do a
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: single thing for like two weeks straight.
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: I love it.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: Yeah, so I'm kind of I've done a couple spots
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: since I moved out there, and it's not bad. Also,
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: like the stand is not far. It's like twenty minutes away.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Oh fair enough.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like not even that much further than my
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: old apartment was.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: What are you talking about on the train.

- 1:07:26Speaker 4: Whether you don't understand that you don't know how the
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: tram works, well, I just know, like fashion cars.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I just know where your old apartment was, and like
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: if it was a map, like why you're right here
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: and now you live up here and you're saying that
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: this is the same distance as this.
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: I mean it's probably like yeah, I mean, obviously it's
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: not the same distance. It's much further. But in terms
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: of getting there, there was not There was no way
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: to get from my apartment to their city bike yeah,
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: I know, but no, like there was no train or anything.
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: So it was either Uber, which was like, wait, that's
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: not true. True, Yes, you could have walked to fourteenth
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: and taken the l across to Union Square.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but you will know that that is instead would
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: be an insane thing to do. It's like a twenty
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: minute walk from my apartment to fourteenth.
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: Okay, I'm just changing the narrative that there is no
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: way for you to get across the city.
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: Well, or a bus.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: What about a bus?
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: I'm not taking the bus to the fucking stand.
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: How many things do we need to say for you
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: to actually I.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: Know the route. The route was not a realistic route,
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: which is why I would always bike or uber.
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: Or walk uber a lot. Now, every time I walk
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: out of the office at the same time as you,
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: you're getting into an Uber. I used to uber, and
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: I'm like, Wow, this guy's got it. Yeah, I used
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: to uber.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: You would be able to fly to Paris if you
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: didn't uber so much.
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: I used to huber when I lived in the West
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: Village because it was very inexpensive. It's like a ten
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: dollars Uber to go home, and I'd be also a
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: fourteen minute walk.
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: The whole point of living in the West Village is
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: so you can walk everywhere a minute walk.
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: Try thirty brother from here to my old apartment. Thirdy,
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: you did live in the south part of Westville. Yes, yeah,
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: that's true, But I was I was looking at an
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: apartment very close to your old place. Yeah, on Barrow Street.
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's like the next straight over.
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: Yeah, but honestly, it would be twenty percent more for
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: me to move there for a smaller apartment. It's not
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: worth it all current apartment.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Think about the breakfast by salts Cure that you could
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: get every day.
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: Yeah, you want to wait in that line like you're
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: fucking getting Coachella tickets.
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: All the lines right now. I went to one of
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: those froyo No you did it, but I went on
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: on like a fucking I don't know, Monday at noon.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: That's a psycho move.
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: But there were only six people in front.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: But also just like out of principle, how good can
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: frozen yogurt be?
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: I'll tell you what, No, that's all. I've had some
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: really good frozen y that good. It was that good.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: It's the one that has the fucking pistachio kind of
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: crunch on top that that. Now, I will say, if
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: the there's an amount of people where it's.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Not worth it, what is that amount?
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: Seven twenty So you're you're waiting in.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: The eighteen person line for that fro yo? That's how
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: good it was? Yeah, yeah, I would I by pass
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: that one every day And I'm like, yeah, I.
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: Know, I go. I used to live next to the
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: what's it called one, the one that you just said
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: salt scared. I used to live on that street. It's
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: a breakfast.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: There's one on uh is it Atlantic? No, it's not Atlantic.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: It's like deeper into Brooklyn, but there's but it's like
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: there's one pancakes, like tiny Pank Street, my old street. Yeah,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: it's like a la cart breakfast and you get like
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: a bunch of different things and it's fucking fantastic. But
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: also there is a herd of sheep.
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: Yeah, time I used to walk.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: The line is literally like no joke. It's like fifty
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: people long. And it's not like you're not waiting for
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: one person to get fro yo, waiting for the people
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: in front of Like you're seeing the table in front
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: of you, like they're gonna eat a full meal on
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: a server. Yeah, Like and then we'll move.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Get line, dudes for it. You can pay fifty five
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: dollars to have someone stand in line for you.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: To Yeah, it can't be that good. Nothing is.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: It is really good, but it's just like it's breakfast food.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: It's breakfast.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: Go to Waverley Diner, make block makes.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: The breakfast yourself. Yeah, like half of its eggs are
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: like an avocado with a drizzle of olive oil. But
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: the pancakes are fantastic. You never went.
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: No, not a sheep.
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: You kind of are not at all, he said, as
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: he went to where'd you go every morning to get
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: your food?
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: You went to? You go to CBS. Yeah, it's off
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: the beaten path.
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: It's exactly a Mom and pop fucking bonaga. You're not
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: exactly like you know.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: At least Breakfast by Salts Cure only has three locations.
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: That's true, that's true. I used to hit Rays. I
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: never went to Ray and I never told him that
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: I was moving. But I couldn't. I couldn't do it.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: He's gonna be work sick. He's gonna be like I thought,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: you died, my friend.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: No jewel, dude, I quit the Jewel. It was a
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: tough day for him.
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: How's that going?
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: What? You're still off the jewel? I've been off the
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: Jewel for a while. I dabble back into the vapes
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: here and there.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: But how crazy were the night sweats when you got
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: off of it?
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: Non existent? Because I didn't. I didn't quit nicotine.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Oh got it.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm on the lucies now.
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: Yeah, really quick in Paris. One thing that I noticed
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: was that they are losers. They adopt things from America
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: that have fallen out of style, like two trends ago.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: Like I walked by this group of I don't know
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: French young people and they saw me and they heard
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: me speaking English and they heard me and they went
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: six seven sixty seven. Oh that's tough. And I was like,
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: you guys are fucking lame. Yeah, that's done, is it?
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: Yeah? I don't know any I don't know much about it,
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: but that's that would like, that's tired. Yeah, that would
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: check me out. That's that's a good year we use
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: of check. Let's check right, Yeah, that would check me
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: out for the full day.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Yeah I need a nap.
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: Yeah yeah.
- 1:13:18Speaker 5: There was another thing too that happened. Oh there was
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: this store that was selling those ap Swatch watches that
- 1:13:25Speaker 5: were so popular.
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: I don't know what that was, the ones people were
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: lining up for correct for days.
- 1:13:31Speaker 5: Dude, These guys were sleeping in soccer mom sideline chairs
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: against a brick wall for days.
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: How much of the washes I mean the aps?
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: No, but there that's the whole point. It's like I
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: think they retailed for like three hundred bucks.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: But the resale is probably sixteen hundred.
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: I don't know what they were reselling for aps it's
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: a collab with Swatch that made it affordable, damn. But
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: also how even saw what those looked like?
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Also curious how many they sold at every location, because like,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: if they're only selling eight per location and then there's
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: like eighty people outside.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: Tell me people weren't sleeping outside for this.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: For this fucking pocket watch.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: Yeah it looks like a fucking roulette table.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Yeah this looks like pretty something out of the Wiggles.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: But yeah, I mean you know they were. They were
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: all lining. It was a huge line for that cheap
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: on a sheep. One other thing that really annoyed me,
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: I went, I walked really far to go to this
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: cool coffee shop and I got my coffee from them.
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: I talked to them for a while. It was cool,
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: and then I'm like kind of bonded with them. I
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: showed them my coffee coffee mak cose.
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: It was fun. Also I do all this, You're definitely like, yeah,
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: I can imagine you walking on down the road like
- 1:14:48Speaker 4: getting the photos ready.
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: No once I had I had sought this place out
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: because it was like a highly reviewed elite Recto Recto Verso.
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: I think it's in the Murray. Anyway, it was good.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: But I went out and then there was a cafe
- 1:15:13Speaker 5: right next door that had you know, bakery, shit croissants
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: and all that, and I bought like three or four
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: different things to have a sampling, and then I took
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: those in a bag and I went and sat back
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: down at the one of the tables outside of the
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: coffee shop, and I took a byte and within one bite,
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: the same guy who had been so nice to me
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: and talk to me about coffee came out and he
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: was like, I'm sorry, you can't sit here and eat
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: outside food. And I was like, but I'm drinking the
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: coffee that I bought from you. And he was like,
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: yet you didn't buy that croissant here, and I was like,
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: I understand your position, but surely I would have. I
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: didn't fight him on it. I'm joking, but like they
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: wouldn't even though I would understand if I had bought
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: something only from another place.
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: But I had frequented their establishment, and you've had.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: A nice conversation. You built the social cachet.
- 1:16:08Speaker 5: And they didn't sell croissants at the coffee shop, so
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: it's bringing something over that they didn't have.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: Yeah, that's insane, that's crazy.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Anyway, I saw some nasty propaganda about croissants this past
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: weekend that they have the lowest sataiety. How do you
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: say that, like satiation sataiety rate of any food? That
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: like you get the least full from croissants of any food.
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: Well, that's crazy because I had three of them and
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: I felt sick all fucking day.
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: I had one of those.
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: I had a pan and I had a Swiss one
- 1:16:41Speaker 5: that had the raisins in it, and I was planning
- 1:16:44Speaker 5: to just zat a couple bites of each and throw
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: it all away or give it to the pigeons. That's
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: a big thing there, to the pigeons. But I ended
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: up eating them all because they were all so good. Yeah,
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: and then I felt truly ill.
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like I've I used to eat croissants
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: like every single morning, and you'd feel full. I wouldn't
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: feel full, but I wouldn't feel hungry.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Like they said that it's one hundred calories of a
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: potato versus one hundred calories of a croissant. Gives you
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: four times satiety, it'll be four times more full. And
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: this is just statistics that I'm regurgitating. This isn't my research.
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: I don't. I think you're lying.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: They also just put a fucking stick of butter and.
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: It's all butter. Yeah, it's all butter.
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: Yeah. While we're on the food topic, I guess I'll
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: bang this one out. But the I went yesterday, I
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: went out, like went out, I went to get up.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: We went.
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: I went and got a panini and quickly I really
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: I realized this is not a real restaurant. This is
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: definitely like a front for something in Queens and Queens.
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: They uh the I like, get the food. You know,
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: no no cash or credit cash or zell.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Zelle is like that is the number one page with it.
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: I paid with zell Zelle is like there, yeah, for
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: a panini that's straight from my bank account. Guy comes
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: over with a phone number written on a napkin. I
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: was like, what is this.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: What what was the store front looking like?
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: Did it look like it's had a massive sign that
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: said like Panninis going. We weren't paninis. It was a
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: sandwich that they use a pennini press.
- 1:18:27Speaker 5: On paninis and oriental message.
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: Whatever you were looking for.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: But you said it's not panini's. You said, it's a
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: sandwich that they use a panini press on. It was
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: like it was like a hogi. But isn't that what
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: a panini is any any type of press sandwich?
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no. Panini is the panini that you
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: walk in. It's flat.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: But if you use a panini press on anything, you
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: can make a panini.
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: But you wouldn't use like a like a a roll
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: or like a hero for a panini.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: I feel like I've seen hero paninis. I want to
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: be on your side in this, So I'm gonna I'm
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: gonna drop my.
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: I mean it's panini, Like, it's definitely not panini.
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: But yeah, the way one week and it's YouTube.
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, the moral of the story was that I
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: had to pay for a sandwich with zel, which I've
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: never done. I've never even heard of that being a thing.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: You could check your bank they might have stolen, could
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: be empty. Yeah, they might have gotten to the fucking
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: bottom of it.
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: Have you guys heard about this this like meta security
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: thing that happened that it's happening so meta changed all
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: of their customer service to AI. So people found out
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: I'm assuming they probably have fixed it. It happened like today,
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: but they found out that you can go. You can
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: just message any like Meta support and be like, I
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: got locked out of my account and then just send
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: a photo of the person that I could send a
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: phot I could message Meta send a photo of you,
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: say I got locked out of my account, and they
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: let you change the password because they use like facial recognition.
- 1:19:52Speaker 4: Pretty big like lapse in judgment.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, clown clown operation over there.
- 1:19:57Speaker 4: So I think as of right now, like anyone's Instagram
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: is kind of just free for the taking.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, I gotta get into that was there? You
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: wanted to talk about that documentary.

- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Because I wasn't that that girl, like, I don't know,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: if it's too much.
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: Did she want her mom to change her I don't know,
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: I don't know. We'll save that one for the Thursday episode. Whoa, whoa,
