New Circle Road Night Closures Ahead | Lexington News
New Circle Road is getting a major upgrade — and it’s causing some serious overnight headaches this Friday, July 17th. Starting at 8 PM, the far left lane in both directions will close for bridge work, then by midnight, the outer loop shuts down at Georgetown Road and the inner loop closes at Leestown Road. Detours are in place, but expect delays. This is part of a $200M widening project set to finish in 2027, adding three lanes each way, a median, and a barrier wall — plus a new interchange at Leestown Road to slash accidents.
