- 0:07Speaker 1: This week we turn off the podcast and on the radio.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Morning DJs have been part of the entertainment landscape since
- 0:17Speaker 2: the beginning of radio, being with you in your car,
- 0:20Speaker 2: as you get ready, as you eat breakfast. They are
- 0:23Speaker 2: the driving force of people that give away free tickets
- 0:27Speaker 2: to things.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Without DJs on the radio, what would America even be.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So today we collaborate with our favorite radio DJ station
- 0:38Speaker 3: and get an inside look at what makes the cookie
- 0:41Speaker 3: crumble and what makes that red light that means record
- 0:45Speaker 3: click caller number. AOAOA. Let's listen in good morning America.
- 0:55Speaker 2: You are up here in the morning with me and
- 0:58Speaker 2: my buddies here on the radio station, having a really
- 1:00Speaker 2: good time this morning. As you guys know, my name
- 1:03Speaker 2: is Crazy Cody, and I'm having a good time here
- 1:06Speaker 2: with my buddies on Artists and Artists on Artists and
- 1:08Speaker 2: Artists on a podcast. Hey guys, what's up?
- 1:12Speaker 3: My name is the Beef here on k W ninety
- 1:16Speaker 3: five The Sploosh. I am kind of the guy who
- 1:20Speaker 3: does the silly voices and stuff, and I don't know,
- 1:23Speaker 3: maybe I'm a little bit of the butt of the joke.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Sometimes that's other than that. We have a lot of fun. Totally, yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 3: that's right.
- 1:30Speaker 2: It's Crazy Cody and the Beef here on ninety nine
- 1:33Speaker 2: to five the sploosh ha yeah yeah, hot, totally and listen,
- 1:39Speaker 2: you just are two girls EO girls girl alert oint
- 1:43Speaker 2: oint oint oint Yeah totally.
- 1:47Speaker 3: You guys can go ahead and say your names.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay. I am Ellie k ha Hey, and
- 1:56Speaker 1: I'm Basily.
- 1:58Speaker 3: That's right. Lak and Besily are two girls.
- 2:02Speaker 4: We're two girls.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And I will say we normally only have one girl,
- 2:07Speaker 1: but there was a scheduling issue on the slack and so.
- 2:10Speaker 3: We both showed up.
- 2:12Speaker 5: This is so funny because there's not even enough chairs
- 2:15Speaker 5: for us today.
- 2:16Speaker 3: We're both on the same stool. Yeah, totally, yeah, Yeah,
- 2:20Speaker 3: it's pretty crazy.
- 2:21Speaker 2: A lot of feminine energy coming into the man Cave tonight.
- 2:24Speaker 3: We're worried a little bit about it.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I opened the walk out wanting some sort of Apple
- 2:29Speaker 2: teen here or something like that.
- 2:32Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 2:33Speaker 4: I'm a skateboarder, that's awesome. I'm a rollerblader.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Great. We actually weren't asking Nobody asked that, but very
- 2:43Speaker 3: interesting information. Crazy Cony and the Beef.
- 2:46Speaker 2: We have been the mainstay of the Los Angeles Southern
- 2:48Speaker 2: California radio landscape since the early early nineties.
- 2:53Speaker 3: The world has changed a lot, but we have been
- 2:56Speaker 3: there together. We chuck it out the same. You know,
- 2:59Speaker 3: the Sploosh has gone through a lot of different changes
- 3:03Speaker 3: are our I mean, the channel is Splooshed. Our radio
- 3:06Speaker 3: show is called Crazy Cody and the Beef, and we've
- 3:10Speaker 3: had to really change some things. But it's been great.
- 3:13Speaker 3: It's been great. I'm glad we've stuck it out the
- 3:15Speaker 3: whole time. We've really done it and we got two
- 3:18Speaker 3: awesome girls. Totally.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yeah, the station really has changed.
- 3:24Speaker 1: For example, we used to give away iPods and now
- 3:28Speaker 1: we give away.
- 3:31Speaker 3: iPhone that's right. Good.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Also, we've we've been super into giving back. We get
- 3:39Speaker 5: back back to school packaging.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Sorry, it's crazy there's two of us here.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Sorry, that's usually my line.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Totally, Well, let's jump into it. I mean, you guys
- 3:53Speaker 3: are kind of seeing behind the scenes of what happens,
- 3:55Speaker 3: like when we play songs, then we get on the
- 3:58Speaker 3: radio and we just dish it out. I mean we're
- 4:00Speaker 3: talking about whatever we can. Doing a radio show every
- 4:04Speaker 3: day brand new is pretty tiring. You you have to
- 4:07Speaker 3: keep on brainstorming idea after idea after idea. Sometimes you
- 4:11Speaker 3: said it the beef.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And it's difficult too because we have to, you know,
- 4:15Speaker 2: usually use sound effects. But our sound effects guy is
- 4:20Speaker 2: taking a break. He recently got a voseectomy and it
- 4:23Speaker 2: is turning on him, so.
- 4:24Speaker 3: He's taken some time.
- 4:27Speaker 2: That's when I say never get him snipped, Yes, sniff,
- 4:32Speaker 2: get stitch.
- 4:33Speaker 3: That's right. It's actually quite sad. His penis has turned
- 4:36Speaker 3: on him. It's turned into a situation that none of
- 4:39Speaker 3: us foresaw. Not even the doctors could see this.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Yeah, his penis is evil.
- 4:44Speaker 3: That's so funny. A penis turning on him.
- 4:46Speaker 5: That sounds like a badge.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I'm not sure what that means.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So anyways, our sound effects guy he's not here, so
- 4:53Speaker 2: we actually have to do our own sound effects. And
- 4:55Speaker 2: we'll give you guys a reminder that there's not gonna
- 4:57Speaker 2: be doing anyone doing the sound effects. So if you
- 4:58Speaker 2: guys want to throw some in there, oh there we go.
- 5:01Speaker 2: We got a fart. Yeah, yeah, we got a wacky noise.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Generic wacky noise, one of my favorite things that he
- 5:09Speaker 2: likes to play.
- 5:09Speaker 4: That's for when we say something off the wall.
- 5:13Speaker 5: What's also awesome about this is that we're doing this
- 5:17Speaker 5: in studio today.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I'd say that three out of our seven days.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Of the week we're on location, sometimes in front of
- 5:23Speaker 5: a water park or.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Uh yeah, three out of the seven days a week
- 5:28Speaker 3: we go on location in front of a water park.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Sometimes it's a wild and crazy radio show.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Ninety five the spoosh for yeah, you never know where
- 5:36Speaker 1: you're gonna be. We're catching you're on the slide. Sometimes
- 5:39Speaker 1: you're catching waves no matter what. You better call in
- 5:42Speaker 1: the ninety three five for those tickets to the shopping mall.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Real soon we're.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Catching the spoosh, the splash and the wash.
- 5:50Speaker 3: So the thing about the girls is they do a
- 5:52Speaker 3: lot of the promotional stuff totally. They're so good at it,
- 5:55Speaker 3: they're rock and roll at it, but they kind of
- 5:57Speaker 3: fall into it a lot of the time. Yeah, it's
- 5:59Speaker 3: we want to give them segments, we want to let
- 6:01Speaker 3: them grow in their total voices. But a lot of
- 6:03Speaker 3: the time, so what happens is when when our radio show,
- 6:06Speaker 3: Crazy Coding and the Beef is not on, we'll do
- 6:08Speaker 3: a lot of promotional stuff and it's just so nice
- 6:10Speaker 3: to hear those beautiful feminine voices do the promotions. It's
- 6:14Speaker 3: such a beautiful, beautiful thing. Women sell things better. I
- 6:17Speaker 3: always say that this special.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Is sponsored by Kmart, km Art. You better come in
- 6:23Speaker 1: here now. We've got stuff for you to buy.
- 6:25Speaker 5: We're outside six Flags water World, Magic Mountain and we're
- 6:29Speaker 5: giving away Kmart bags. Fill the k's and the marks Camart.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Kmart, Kmart. You're gonna be saying all that when you
- 6:37Speaker 4: step into our news store on burd Bank Boulevard.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah, totally, those beautiful feminine voices, it's just it's it's
- 6:45Speaker 3: music to my ears.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Well, we gotta have feminine touch on this here podcast
- 6:49Speaker 1: because the radio, because the way that you guys go
- 6:53Speaker 1: on and on about your guys stuff, it's so important
- 6:56Speaker 1: to have the girl's perspective food people. Girls can't be
- 6:59Speaker 1: trusted and they shouldn't be and you should always look
- 7:02Speaker 1: at their phones.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Well that's the thing that we constantly talk about on
- 7:05Speaker 3: the radio.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I actually disagree with her on that, Yeah, which is
- 7:09Speaker 2: shocking for me.
- 7:10Speaker 3: This is crazy because when we sit we always talk
- 7:12Speaker 3: about this, can girls be trusted? We're constantly pushing it
- 7:14Speaker 3: that they can. By the way, call in.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Now one eight hundred kN ninety five tell us if
- 7:19Speaker 1: women can be trusted.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Well, this is an interesting thing. Aoaoao has let us
- 7:24Speaker 3: add caller in just to you know, stimulate and simulate
- 7:29Speaker 3: a radio show totally actually feel.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Like, Oh I wish you, I bet you wish you
- 7:33Speaker 4: was stimulated.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Yeah, it's kN ninety five, this blush with the beef
- 7:37Speaker 5: and goaty cimulate, stimulate and bimulate.
- 7:40Speaker 1: By the way, it's not kN ninety five the mask.
- 7:43Speaker 1: We were hard against that when that was happening. We
- 7:46Speaker 1: were So this is basically what it's like every morning.
- 7:49Speaker 3: And I want to reiterate.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We are on the air from four am to noon
- 7:53Speaker 2: every single day, eight hours of content coming straight to
- 7:56Speaker 2: those ear holes, giving you guys tickets to go see
- 7:59Speaker 2: Cheap Trail and Wango Tango.
- 8:01Speaker 3: So let's talk man.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And that's and I want to specify it because Kiss
- 8:05Speaker 1: of M owns Wango Tango.
- 8:06Speaker 4: We own o Wango Tango.
- 8:09Speaker 3: It's got some of the best cover bands you've ever
- 8:12Speaker 3: heard of. They've got the cures, they've got white stipes,
- 8:16Speaker 3: they've got.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Somebody who only covers POMPEII by By Steele.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Wait, wait, so good, but it's not Bastille and don't
- 8:26Speaker 2: get them confused.
- 8:27Speaker 3: It's a man who sounds a lot like the lead
- 8:29Speaker 3: singer and plays one of those instruments that's all the instruments,
- 8:33Speaker 3: a drum, a guitar as a guardian.
- 8:35Speaker 2: He's amazed, but his hands are a lot longer, and
- 8:38Speaker 2: he'll make sure you know that.
- 8:39Speaker 3: He bas steeles, if you know what I mean. Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Anyway, O Wango Tango can be found in Reno, California.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's not.
- 8:51Speaker 4: A city in California.
- 8:53Speaker 1: So what we mean by that is there's a casino
- 8:56Speaker 1: in Nevada called California. That's what we mean when we
- 8:59Speaker 1: say Reno, California, the only casino where you can buy dogs.
- 9:05Speaker 2: So let's talk about how we structure our show, Crazy Cody.
- 9:09Speaker 3: You go ahead, Crazy Cody. Yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 2: So you know, it's a lot of really fun segments.
- 9:14Speaker 2: You know, it's been a really good time. I do
- 9:16Speaker 2: miss the nineties. I missed the contest we got to
- 9:20Speaker 2: do in the nineties. Those were super super fun. Oh
- 9:23Speaker 2: my god, it was really really fun. We were the
- 9:25Speaker 2: first radio station to do a competition where if you
- 9:29Speaker 2: kept your hands on a vehicle, you could win the vehicle.
- 9:32Speaker 2: If you kept it on for the hands on a
- 9:33Speaker 2: hard body contest, but our car was in motion and
- 9:36Speaker 2: it was going really slow down a hill.
- 9:38Speaker 3: It was two miles an hour down a hill, pick
- 9:40Speaker 3: up speed every little bit, and people had to keep
- 9:43Speaker 3: their hands on. The last person to hold on the
- 9:45Speaker 3: trick was though. We let you bring one item of
- 9:48Speaker 3: tape so you could tape your hand if you wanted to.
- 9:51Speaker 3: It was crazy, It was awesome. But then not to
- 9:53Speaker 3: eleven happened and just things changed after, just changed in
- 9:57Speaker 3: the air.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I miss the audio wet t shirt contest, You.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Guys are, Yeah, that was fun. It would be describe
- 10:04Speaker 3: how wet your T shirt is? Yeah, And we when
- 10:06Speaker 3: we had to take that word on it because they'd
- 10:08Speaker 3: call in. Yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 1: So it was whoever could use the soppiest wettest adjective.
- 10:13Speaker 2: It was in a way of poetry contest. And I
- 10:15Speaker 2: actually think that rocked.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 10:20Speaker 2: This one girl called in and said she was completely ensconced,
- 10:23Speaker 2: and why oh that was good.
- 10:28Speaker 4: And I believed her.
- 10:29Speaker 5: I believe And depending on which woman was in that day,
- 10:33Speaker 5: we would never trust her, That's right, you never you
- 10:37Speaker 5: never trust her, You never trust her. But nowadays, you
- 10:41Speaker 5: guys you guys's interviews are really good.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we like to have a lot of fun with interviews.
- 10:48Speaker 2: We do something a little different with the interviews where
- 10:50Speaker 2: the Beef will interview them and then I'll come in
- 10:52Speaker 2: and I'll say, hey, uh is is that all good?
- 10:56Speaker 2: I think we're about to start, so we'll make it
- 10:58Speaker 2: sound like the Beef doesn't work there.
- 10:59Speaker 3: It's it's really funny. They seem to really really respond
- 11:03Speaker 3: kind of kind of it kind of it's always interesting.
- 11:06Speaker 3: You know, I'm kind of the front man. The guy
- 11:08Speaker 3: gets a lot of shit on this.
- 11:10Speaker 2: You know.
- 11:10Speaker 3: The Beef is always getting called out.
- 11:12Speaker 2: You're always weird, you always wear the worst smelling deodorant.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I mean, there's all sorts of stuff that we bring
- 11:17Speaker 2: up in granular detail every single.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Davie got me every single day for that stuff.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I tell you something that we may Okay, we may
- 11:25Speaker 1: be getting you, but something you're not getting is laid
- 11:29Speaker 1: that's right.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, No, that's another thing they constantly bring up.
- 11:32Speaker 3: My divorce. It was extremely messy. Natasha took the kids,
- 11:37Speaker 3: and it's something that they keep on bringing up. But
- 11:39Speaker 3: the Beef loves it. I love being This is usually
- 11:43Speaker 3: where we put.
- 11:44Speaker 5: This is usually where we play the Natasha sound by
- 11:46Speaker 5: You're never gotten that kids again?
- 11:49Speaker 3: Yeah, so hey, they asked Natasha to come and to
- 11:53Speaker 3: sound effect. Yeah that's my my ex wife saying you'll
- 11:57Speaker 3: never get the kids again. And then they added an
- 11:59Speaker 3: air hoard the foghorn after it. That's right, Hilaire.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I love the segments where we show you school pictures
- 12:07Speaker 1: and just show what.
- 12:08Speaker 4: They're up to, and we die.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I have to guess what the kids are up to.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I love that. My favorite segment is when we do
- 12:16Speaker 3: act outs where I get to do all the funny voices.
- 12:19Speaker 3: You guys say, you say, oh, here's the situation, and
- 12:22Speaker 3: I I fake call in, will you do? Will you do?
- 12:26Speaker 1: Paris Hilton? Uh calling into the sex party?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, do we call this Beefer's Theater on the
- 12:33Speaker 2: on the on the on the show, I'll do.
- 12:36Speaker 3: I'll do the intro of the sound doctor, doctor three
- 12:40Speaker 3: seats for Beefers Theater, ring ring ring, ring, ring ring ring. Hello,
- 12:48Speaker 3: it's Paris Hilton. That's what she sounds like. Totally. I'm
- 12:52Speaker 3: just wondering if I can do the thing. Hello, Okay, goodbye.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I kind of forgot the problem it's a classic thing
- 13:08Speaker 3: that happens up Beavers Theater. I don't know why these
- 13:11Speaker 3: problems just slipped through me like glass. We used to.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Write him for you, Well we didn't do but somebody,
- 13:16Speaker 1: not somebody, our assistant used to write you little comedy skit.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yeah it was so and they were so funny. But
- 13:24Speaker 1: then people started complaining.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Yeah, we really went after.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Victoria's secret models.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Well, we had this guy that was writing for us
- 13:32Speaker 3: for a long time called Ben Shapiro. He loved writing
- 13:35Speaker 3: the comedy skits for our splush. Loved that kid. Weird
- 13:40Speaker 3: little TP smelled like a mix between roses and macaroni
- 13:44Speaker 3: and cheese.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Remember that one day we surprised him by covering him
- 13:49Speaker 2: in a black light and seeing what kind of stains
- 13:51Speaker 2: he had on his body.
- 13:52Speaker 5: He was covered in. Let me tell you what a
- 13:55Speaker 5: weird show for a radio station.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I know it was a weird show for us to
- 14:00Speaker 2: but we did it.
- 14:00Speaker 3: But we had to get poetic and we went on
- 14:02Speaker 3: True TV. Remember that was the thing. Well, this is
- 14:05Speaker 3: the thing. You know a lot of things about radio
- 14:06Speaker 3: is that you don't have the video aspect. You have
- 14:11Speaker 3: to get really creative, don't have to get it's awesome.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I miss all our prank calls we used to do.
- 14:17Speaker 3: I missed the days of pranks. Can I just say that?
- 14:21Speaker 1: Oh my god, when we would prank call and these
- 14:24Speaker 1: were real calls, when we would call, uh, we would call.
- 14:28Speaker 1: We would call the the owner of Embassy Suites and
- 14:31Speaker 1: we would pretend to be Queen Elizabeth.
- 14:33Speaker 3: That and he believed us. And the way the way.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Cody would would stare into the Embassy Suites, eyes through
- 14:43Speaker 5: the phone and just and just just sizzle them into
- 14:47Speaker 5: a thousand pieces again for your Queen Elizabeth, for us,
- 14:51Speaker 5: would you please let's hear it.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Oh hello, I'm the Queen Elizabeth, come to England.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And then I would say, you're gonna tell the Queen
- 15:03Speaker 2: she can't stay at your hotel.
- 15:06Speaker 3: I need a place to stay. Tell her to her
- 15:08Speaker 3: face on the phone, tell her she can't stay in
- 15:11Speaker 3: your hotel. Why can't I stay in your hotel? And
- 15:16Speaker 3: just like Butter, we'd go.
- 15:17Speaker 5: We're giving away Good Diva bags hot chocolate.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Oh my god, the days that Good Diva used to miss.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Those So call one eight hundred Sploosh for your chance
- 15:29Speaker 1: to win eleven year old Good Diva Chocolate.
- 15:32Speaker 3: That's right, you're never getting my kids. Man, We've had
- 15:35Speaker 3: a lot of fun on this show.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I guess it's a good time to mention that we
- 15:39Speaker 2: are actually recording our last show after this.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Ever, we're going off the air. It turns out radio
- 15:46Speaker 3: is not working anymore. People. You listen to Spotify podcast,
- 15:50Speaker 3: But maybe there's a podcast coming down the line for
- 15:54Speaker 3: us too. It would be awesome. Yeah, it'd be really
- 15:56Speaker 3: awesome for.
- 15:57Speaker 4: You too, or four?
- 16:00Speaker 3: Four or two? You said you too?
- 16:02Speaker 1: Is it as in too or as in two?
- 16:06Speaker 4: Like the two of you guys?
- 16:07Speaker 3: In what way? What are you asking? What's going on?
- 16:11Speaker 3: We're asking?
- 16:12Speaker 5: It sounded like you were you were talking about the
- 16:15Speaker 5: future of you two. Oh yeah, Uh, could you elaborate,
- 16:20Speaker 5: because we were wondering about us two.
- 16:23Speaker 4: We were wondering because we're two girls.
- 16:25Speaker 1: We're two people, right, we're two people, and we've been
- 16:28Speaker 1: doing this for fifteen years now. When we go home,
- 16:34Speaker 1: we don't have thoughts or anything else.
- 16:38Speaker 4: So we were just wondering.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys live together, don't you.
- 16:41Speaker 4: We live together, separate rooms.
- 16:43Speaker 1: We see each other in the kitchen sometimes and yeah,
- 16:47Speaker 1: and we sleep standing up.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, without a bed. You probably have tons of room.
- 16:52Speaker 4: It's actually a pretty sweet deal.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you go to the exact center of our room,
- 16:58Speaker 1: we facely to north, can we stand and we sleep
- 17:01Speaker 1: for exactly eight hours.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Then five am we're back in the studio exactly.
- 17:06Speaker 5: And I know you said we sleep standing up for space,
- 17:09Speaker 5: but it's actually not a spatial thing.
- 17:11Speaker 3: It's just for the sun.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Explain that to synthesize like plants, the energy from the
- 17:16Speaker 1: sun allows us to.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Get deep into Gotta say, due north is not the
- 17:19Speaker 2: answer for sunlight to our future.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Well, let's talk about it.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I mean, I you know, I didn't really think we
- 17:26Speaker 2: were gonna mention it here on on Artists on Artists,
- 17:28Speaker 2: on Urist on.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Artists, our radio show. So I feel like we can
- 17:32Speaker 3: discuss it. So we definitely talk. We've been trying to
- 17:35Speaker 3: bring you guys over on the podcast.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Uh you know, we're setting it up right now, but
- 17:39Speaker 2: we're getting some uh user feedback. We're getting some some
- 17:43Speaker 2: some some observations, get a lot of commons that you
- 17:47Speaker 2: guys maybe aren't really with the times of the modern woman.
- 17:50Speaker 4: We aren't with the times of the modern woman.
- 17:53Speaker 3: And it might be.
- 17:57Speaker 5: It's every woman, where is she.
- 18:01Speaker 3: You guys just say she'd be trusted.
- 18:03Speaker 4: So this is to tell us if we could trust
- 18:05Speaker 4: the modern way, I would.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Hide her phone.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Listen, I want to accop to this. I think that
- 18:10Speaker 2: we are a little responsible. It's like when you look
- 18:11Speaker 2: back you homeschooled your child and he doesn't know the alphabet.
- 18:14Speaker 2: That's how it feels to me. That's how it feels
- 18:17Speaker 2: like what we did to you guys. And it does
- 18:18Speaker 2: keep me up at night in my bed lying down,
- 18:20Speaker 2: of course, but it keeps me up at night because
- 18:23Speaker 2: I wonder if we send you guys off in a
- 18:25Speaker 2: little bit of a wrong direction.
- 18:27Speaker 3: We chose to sleep standing up. I know I'm not.
- 18:29Speaker 3: I'm not. I'm not. We're not holding on to that.
- 18:34Speaker 4: We're not come for our sleeping style.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Us.
- 18:42Speaker 3: We're not independently of you. We're not just that before
- 18:46Speaker 3: being employed by it.
- 18:48Speaker 2: It's more about your views rather than how you sleep.
- 18:50Speaker 2: You know, it might be what we.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Do to ourselves when we walk in here. What what
- 18:55Speaker 3: do you guys do to yourselves when you walk in here?
- 18:57Speaker 1: Okay, I'll be real, and I don't know if you
- 19:00Speaker 1: remember this, but I've been having some strange dreams to
- 19:03Speaker 1: they give us a clue.
- 19:04Speaker 4: To what's going on with us?
- 19:06Speaker 3: All right, tell us about your dreams. What's going on?
- 19:08Speaker 3: This is their dream section. Sweet dreams are made of
- 19:13Speaker 3: these you're never getting the kids. Okay about her dreams?
- 19:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 19:19Speaker 1: So I had a dream that I was in the
- 19:21Speaker 1: office at Apple TV Studios and I was pitching a
- 19:25Speaker 1: show too the guy from Parks and Recreation, Adam Scott,
- 19:30Speaker 1: And I said, what if there's a show called Severance
- 19:33Speaker 1: where when you walk into your work life you are
- 19:36Speaker 1: completely divorced from your home life and you can't remember who.
- 19:40Speaker 4: You are when you go into either one. And I remember.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Pitching it as though it had happened to me, as
- 19:46Speaker 1: though in nineteen ninety eight. I went into Bill Gates's
- 19:50Speaker 1: office and I asked if this was possible, because I
- 19:53Speaker 1: was worried about the fucked up shit you guys were
- 19:56Speaker 1: saying on air, and I wanted to continue making a
- 19:59Speaker 1: moderate hosts salary.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Okay, can I ask you a question? Yeah, was this
- 20:03Speaker 3: before or after you watch the show Severance?
- 20:09Speaker 4: I believe the time is not linear.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I believe everything happened because for me, it sounds like
- 20:14Speaker 3: you watch Severance and then had a dream about what
- 20:16Speaker 3: would be like to be severanced.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Now, when you.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Say watch Severance, are you talking about the show that
- 20:21Speaker 1: I pitched.
- 20:22Speaker 4: In my brain?
- 20:23Speaker 3: Or is that real? It's a real show.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Okay, I really think this happened to me.
- 20:28Speaker 3: You think okay, So just to make sure I understand,
- 20:32Speaker 3: you think when you walk through our studio doors, you've changed,
- 20:35Speaker 3: You've changed, and it's completely studio doors.
- 20:37Speaker 4: I don't remember what I do outside.
- 20:39Speaker 1: All I know is that we go to the exact
- 20:41Speaker 1: position in the center of our rooms, we sleep standing up,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and then we go somewhere, and then we wake up
- 20:47Speaker 1: and we're back at home.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Wow, this is really interesting. Is this still a dream
- 20:52Speaker 3: or is this is reality? This is real?
- 20:55Speaker 5: And I think what's different about today is that I've
- 20:58Speaker 5: never been here with you. That's what it is, because
- 21:02Speaker 5: we're never here together again.
- 21:05Speaker 3: But you guys know that you sleep standing up because
- 21:08Speaker 3: you guys are really we chose that, because we chose
- 21:12Speaker 3: that before. I believe it. This ship, you guys are.
- 21:15Speaker 3: You guys are problematic and try to blame it on Deceever, guys,
- 21:19Speaker 3: I tried to own it. Did you not hear me
- 21:21Speaker 3: trying to own it? I heard you. I tried to
- 21:23Speaker 3: come to it, try to come to it in this
- 21:27Speaker 3: completely different direction.
- 21:28Speaker 1: In our defense, in our defense, hey, we chose that,
- 21:34Speaker 1: we chose to sleep.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Sleep standing up. Okay, I know, we get that. I
- 21:39Speaker 3: understand my God and b.
- 21:42Speaker 1: When we were hired, you guys were in your late
- 21:45Speaker 1: thirties and we were twenty two year old women.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Twenty two and that's the perfect age.
- 21:54Speaker 4: And that's when we got.
- 21:56Speaker 2: You're never say never stuff like when you guys say that,
- 22:00Speaker 2: I'm prompted.
- 22:01Speaker 3: We didn't say the perfect age.
- 22:03Speaker 5: We would have, so can I say when we sleep
- 22:06Speaker 5: standing up? We don't have a brow.
- 22:09Speaker 3: The perfect age light my eyes. These girls were never
- 22:14Speaker 3: touched and beautiful.
- 22:16Speaker 4: It's spring break.
- 22:18Speaker 3: I've lost the ball.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I've completely I've completely lost track. They're talking about is
- 22:27Speaker 2: true for them, and we gotta let them believe whatever
- 22:29Speaker 2: they don't.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You gaslight us into thinking that what we're doing isn't real.
- 22:34Speaker 4: This is the most real.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Listen, we've gotten really on Crazy Cody the Beef, We've
- 22:38Speaker 2: gotten real a bunch of times. As you guys remember
- 22:41Speaker 2: one of my favorite segments, Cody's Cookies. We send cookies
- 22:43Speaker 2: to someone who thinks that their partner is cheating on them, right,
- 22:49Speaker 2: And we've done that pretty frequently. So we've gotten really
- 22:51Speaker 2: real here, and I'm not afraid to get real.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Send cookies we're getting, we're having we're.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Having a manic break.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Sure, Yeah, same thing, a break where I also kind
- 23:03Speaker 1: of remember the cook being awesome because it's a great test. Yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 1: definitely didn't hire actors to do this. We would send
- 23:12Speaker 1: real cookies to real people.
- 23:14Speaker 3: We send real cookies to real people that thought they
- 23:16Speaker 3: were being cheated on, and it's more of just what
- 23:19Speaker 3: what are they going to do with those?
- 23:20Speaker 4: Because when you're cheated on, you want.
- 23:23Speaker 3: To eat a lot of cookies. Yeah, that's right.
- 23:25Speaker 4: So perfect this was to send people.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Thought they were so they would say, hey, I think
- 23:33Speaker 2: they knew. I think I think my wife knows that
- 23:36Speaker 2: I'm cheating on.
- 23:39Speaker 3: You set her sad ass cookies.
- 23:42Speaker 4: She eats the cookies, you know, going time, and you.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Know that she knows she's on me, and I will say, look,
- 23:50Speaker 2: so here's where we went wrong. When we found out
- 23:52Speaker 2: that if the wife does eat the cookies, we would
- 23:54Speaker 2: call her and tell her nothing is wrong.
- 23:56Speaker 3: And that I think was gaslighting.
- 23:59Speaker 5: That was bad, and I think that's the beginning of
- 24:01Speaker 5: when I realized this was a toxic workplace.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Sure, sure, yeah, sure, yeah, Well it was tough. I
- 24:07Speaker 3: mean there was that one woman we sent her cookies
- 24:10Speaker 3: and she said, oh my gosh, is this the cookie thing?
- 24:12Speaker 3: Is my husband cheating on me? Is my husband cheating
- 24:14Speaker 3: on me? Is my And we just didn't hang up.
- 24:15Speaker 3: We just had to hang up.
- 24:17Speaker 4: Yeah, sometimes it gets sad when they realized that they're.
- 24:20Speaker 3: That they're part of the radio show.
- 24:22Speaker 4: The husband would have gotten away with it those things.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Right, And that's what we do in the morning. You know,
- 24:27Speaker 3: it's six am. We can't be sad, he'd six.
- 24:30Speaker 4: Am, We can't be sad. Are we peaking?
- 24:32Speaker 2: By the way, I don't think we're peaking actually at
- 24:34Speaker 2: all that much?
- 24:35Speaker 3: And that's great, awesome.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Well what about that one time that we had to
- 24:39Speaker 5: pivot from all the cheating stuff and we started sending
- 24:42Speaker 5: bunnies to teachers of the week that we're touching kids lives.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that became a huge problem. A bunny loose in
- 24:49Speaker 3: a classroom just would not work for them.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they they Repetera was mad at us for that
- 24:54Speaker 2: because we just send them bunnies without a cage.
- 24:56Speaker 3: And it was. We had a lot of repeat teachers
- 24:59Speaker 3: that so Miss Stewart got I think three or four
- 25:03Speaker 3: untamed wild buddies without a.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Can reliant on user submissions, and a few people wanted
- 25:10Speaker 1: to do the bunny thing.
- 25:11Speaker 2: And I think there were a couple of prankster kids
- 25:15Speaker 2: who took advantage of us.
- 25:17Speaker 3: And I do think that.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I think morning DJs are very frequently taken advantage of
- 25:21Speaker 2: because we're available, we're open, and we've gotten a lot
- 25:24Speaker 2: of prank calls in our day.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Yeah, on the front lines.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember that one guy called and asked for
- 25:29Speaker 2: a little lion Man twenty five times in a row,
- 25:32Speaker 2: and we had to play it.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a rule. If you call in, you make
- 25:35Speaker 3: it to air. We play whatever you suggest. Yeah, and
- 25:38Speaker 3: people think.
- 25:39Speaker 5: We get up and we move, or we turn it
- 25:41Speaker 5: down our studio. We don't have the ability to turn
- 25:44Speaker 5: it down.
- 25:45Speaker 2: No, let's break it down. We can't turn it off.
- 25:49Speaker 2: We can't turn it down. We show up and talk
- 25:51Speaker 2: the text, do everything else. Yeah, they've outsourced all the
- 25:54Speaker 2: engineering to another country and we are just basically in
- 25:58Speaker 2: a room and we throw things out and we hope
- 26:00Speaker 2: that they get translated in a proper way.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Yeah, we're being broadcast simultaneously at five am America time
- 26:08Speaker 1: and uh nineteen hundred.
- 26:10Speaker 4: At Russia Moscow.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And believe me, the Russian actors who do what we do,
- 26:16Speaker 1: they've pretty.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Much nailed it.
- 26:18Speaker 3: They get it down. They crushed the competition. They are
- 26:22Speaker 3: really we are very friendly. We've gone to see them
- 26:24Speaker 3: a couple times. They are so nice. Totally, they're so crazy.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Their name is Crazy Crunk and and the Borshed, the Borshed.
- 26:34Speaker 4: We gotta have them on.
- 26:35Speaker 3: We gotta have them on.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Speaking of on, I'm on right now on with a question.
- 26:41Speaker 1: What did you guys do before this show?
- 26:44Speaker 3: Ella k asks a question, never getting the kids. Yes,
- 26:50Speaker 3: son of a bitch, you are the weekstling.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Goodbye, Nag, nag, nag, it's question time.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Okay, what's your question?
- 26:59Speaker 4: What did you guys do before Crazy Carl and the Beef?
- 27:04Speaker 3: I think it's short circuiting. What did you Yeah? Uh? Oh?
- 27:08Speaker 3: Is it time to take a nap and stand outside?
- 27:10Speaker 3: Okay the beef? Will you?
- 27:14Speaker 5: Will you respond to the allegations that your nickname is
- 27:17Speaker 5: because they found you drunk outside with a bunch of
- 27:20Speaker 5: pieces of beef on your face.
- 27:21Speaker 3: I will not be responding to the allegation.
- 27:24Speaker 2: So I started in this little wacky industry we called
- 27:28Speaker 2: morning radio when I was in college, and I actually
- 27:32Speaker 2: became the sole head of the college radio station. We
- 27:37Speaker 2: were this little tiny radio station in Florida at this
- 27:40Speaker 2: university called the University of South Central Florida Number two.
- 27:45Speaker 5: Play the clip I'm coloney, that's University of Central Florida Radio.
- 27:53Speaker 3: You're never getting the kids? Wow, early, you got it in.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, So you're never getting the kids was actually something
- 28:00Speaker 2: that my mother used to say to my father. So
- 28:02Speaker 2: when your wife started saying it to you, it was
- 28:04Speaker 2: a really kind of crazy, cool, full circle moment that
- 28:07Speaker 2: made me realize that was exactly where I needed to be.
- 28:11Speaker 2: It was actually kind of beautiful. It was actually kind
- 28:13Speaker 2: of serendipitous. So I started doing that, and back in
- 28:17Speaker 2: the day in the early eighties, late nineties, for some reason,
- 28:21Speaker 2: a lot of mourning, a lot of radio station managers
- 28:24Speaker 2: would listen to college radio. They were obsessed with that.
- 28:26Speaker 2: I think it was a glory days thing. I think
- 28:28Speaker 2: college radio was alive and well, but morning DJs we're
- 28:31Speaker 2: kind of in a weird zone. So they found me.
- 28:34Speaker 2: They said, we're gonna put you on, start you out
- 28:36Speaker 2: something early. We're only gonna give you four hours, and
- 28:39Speaker 2: we're gonna see how you handle it. So I did
- 28:41Speaker 2: four hours every day at this little dinky podunk station
- 28:45Speaker 2: right outside of Charlotte, South Carolina, and it was that's
- 28:49Speaker 2: where we met, Yeah, and that's where we met.
- 28:51Speaker 3: So it was a great little radio station. It's kind
- 28:54Speaker 3: of where Crazy Cody and the Beef got started. And
- 28:57Speaker 3: we were able to jump from radio to radio. So
- 29:00Speaker 3: for a long time I started kind of on a
- 29:02Speaker 3: local Ham radio. I would just kind of record things,
- 29:05Speaker 3: talk to people very close to I grew up close
- 29:08Speaker 3: to a very big prison, so a lot of my
- 29:11Speaker 3: conversations were prisoners listening to the Ham radio and messaging
- 29:14Speaker 3: me and emailing me when they could. And I remember
- 29:17Speaker 3: this was a big deal.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I read a newspaper article about this, and that's how
- 29:20Speaker 2: I actually started hearing about the Beef because they had
- 29:23Speaker 2: to take away a Ham radio because there was a
- 29:26Speaker 2: line around the block. People said, you want to use
- 29:27Speaker 2: your one phone call and they said, no, I want
- 29:29Speaker 2: to talk to the Beef on the Ham radio. And
- 29:32Speaker 2: from I think what had happened was you were taking
- 29:36Speaker 2: gossip from prisoners and you were telling it to other prisoners,
- 29:39Speaker 2: and that's why they started calling you the beef. So
- 29:41Speaker 2: prisoners started using you to media. They will not be
- 29:44Speaker 2: responding to the allegations. We will not be you incited
- 29:48Speaker 2: a prison riot. It's the allegation.
- 29:49Speaker 3: I will say, there was a big prison riot kind
- 29:53Speaker 3: of incited by me, and that's why we had to
- 29:55Speaker 3: move to I moved to Charlotte, and then we jumped
- 29:57Speaker 3: to Los Angeles, the bigger play infield. But we've known
- 30:02Speaker 3: each other for years and we got we met you guys,
- 30:04Speaker 3: I think day one. Once we got to Los Angeles, right.
- 30:08Speaker 1: We responded to the open casting call for a woman.
- 30:11Speaker 1: The breakdown just said a.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Woman, Well tell the whole breakdown.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Well woman, parentheses not ugly sounding. You could be ugly
- 30:22Speaker 1: in real life. After all, this is radio. Anyway, Broad's
- 30:26Speaker 1: come to two hundred South on nineteen ninety eight, April seventeenth,
- 30:31Speaker 1: to be exact.
- 30:32Speaker 5: Oh, it's five pm. I believe it said, I believe
- 30:37Speaker 5: I wrote it.
- 30:37Speaker 3: I wrote that. I believe at the bottom it said
- 30:39Speaker 3: come fed. Yeah it did.
- 30:42Speaker 2: We weren't providing any meals and we wanted to make
- 30:44Speaker 2: sure people do this year. It was only it was
- 30:46Speaker 2: only a ten minute audition, so we wanted to know people,
- 30:48Speaker 2: make sure people.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Nineteen ninety eight, after all, they did have food and
- 30:54Speaker 1: auditions back then, and.
- 30:56Speaker 2: We broke some old We were one of the first
- 30:58Speaker 2: auditions in Los Angeles.
- 30:59Speaker 3: No snacks, no nothing.
- 31:04Speaker 5: It's a gum fed So I knew what I was.
- 31:06Speaker 5: I knew what y'all were going into.
- 31:09Speaker 1: But we do remember our auditions, or at least I do.
- 31:12Speaker 1: That's one of the things that.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Recurs in my standing up dreams quite frequently.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Me too.
- 31:16Speaker 5: Sometimes when I wonder how this all began. I see
- 31:19Speaker 5: the beginnings and the endings of the audition.
- 31:22Speaker 4: I remember stepping into the room.
- 31:24Speaker 1: A casting director said spin around, and then I did,
- 31:28Speaker 1: and then they said sit down on the mic. That
- 31:30Speaker 1: part actually didn't matter. We meant spin around towards the
- 31:33Speaker 1: mic because you're talking.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Away from it. But nice ass though.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Anyway, I sat down and they told me to laugh
- 31:41Speaker 1: for ten minutes straight, and I did.
- 31:43Speaker 5: I remember picking up a piece of paper that had
- 31:46Speaker 5: a bunch of words that said sick, cool, totally, what gross?
- 31:50Speaker 3: No boys, and I did that over and over again.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I wrote, boys, Yeah, well came your guy's catchphrase until
- 32:05Speaker 2: you moved on to sick and totally.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:07Speaker 1: No, it was awesome to be able to and a
- 32:09Speaker 1: lot of I loved coming in to record just extra
- 32:13Speaker 1: extraneous sounds because it was just a a hypnotic sort
- 32:18Speaker 1: of trance state where you enter into a flow, a
- 32:21Speaker 1: meditative state of ha awesome, no.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Way, oh sick awesome boys.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Yeah, it's so easy to get there now. I remember
- 32:30Speaker 5: before it took me a while and now like sometimes
- 32:33Speaker 5: I could just literally close my eyes and I go, whoa, no.
- 32:37Speaker 3: No, boys, stop it, No she did what? Don't trust her?
- 32:42Speaker 3: Can't wut them be trusted?
- 32:43Speaker 4: No?
- 32:44Speaker 1: Ha oh boys, okay, awesome sick, no way, boner alert boys.
- 32:51Speaker 3: So this is actually a two hour segment we usually
- 32:57Speaker 3: do in the morning. We just love We just let him.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Go on girl we call it or two girls on Mike.
- 33:07Speaker 3: It changes depending on how Mike is.
- 33:09Speaker 1: When we are given thirty seconds to express our appealing opinions,
- 33:13Speaker 1: do we do it really really fast?
- 33:14Speaker 5: Yeah, it's usually just red car, blue car, red car,
- 33:18Speaker 5: blue red cart, blue car, red car, blue car.
- 33:20Speaker 1: It's like a nice usually collective power within your workforce
- 33:23Speaker 1: to bargain.
- 33:24Speaker 3: I see, I get the last thing I never understood
- 33:26Speaker 3: Red car, Blue car, though, I don't know where that
- 33:28Speaker 3: came from.
- 33:29Speaker 2: You gals are so good to have in the studio
- 33:31Speaker 2: because me and the Beef we get into some crazy,
- 33:34Speaker 2: crazy arguments that we always need just settle you guys.
- 33:38Speaker 3: It's it's a trademark.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Crazy classic arguments, your classic arguments that you then point
- 33:43Speaker 1: to us for a third opinion.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Yeah, like middle seat versus window seat, huge debate.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I'm a big middle seat guy. Crazy. It's not crazy.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I love the middle seat.
- 33:59Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Sometimes when you're representing two types of culture like that,
- 34:03Speaker 5: it's really hard, and.
- 34:05Speaker 3: You guys break the tie every time.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Well, I said middle C was bad. That was my fight?
- 34:15Speaker 3: What was it?
- 34:15Speaker 4: What was one of your classic fights? They played it
- 34:18Speaker 4: for me.
- 34:18Speaker 5: It was I think it was when we were deciding
- 34:21Speaker 5: between salted almonds and uh nonsalted almonds?
- 34:25Speaker 3: Right, yeah, I said nonsalted.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you have the worst takes, my man, you have
- 34:31Speaker 2: the worstick.
- 34:32Speaker 3: I don't know what you're.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Talking, insulted middle C. Did somebody called doctor beage?
- 34:39Speaker 3: That's what you said?
- 34:40Speaker 4: Like dag.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Every once in a while, they pop out of this
- 34:48Speaker 2: robotic thing and really roast my ass.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Hey, tell doctor Beage, I'm due for a check out.
- 34:52Speaker 5: My name's mister Beef. You guys are killing it together.
- 34:56Speaker 5: Actually we should bring you in more.
- 34:58Speaker 3: That's really fun. If I could, if I could own
- 35:01Speaker 3: up to something else.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I do think that the healthcare plan we have picked
- 35:06Speaker 2: for the office, uh unfairly uh supports women. I think
- 35:12Speaker 2: I think it. It doesn't help you guys. I think
- 35:15Speaker 2: your resources uh.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Oh, not unfairly supports women. No, no, no, no. I I
- 35:20Speaker 3: think that it supports women in an unfair way. I think.
- 35:23Speaker 3: I'm so sorry about the debate that we had to say. Yeah,
- 35:26Speaker 3: so that was the one budget we made the last
- 35:28Speaker 3: ten yearsaulted or unsaulted. Huh.
- 35:30Speaker 2: So I think that the healthcare you're being provided is
- 35:33Speaker 2: a little unsaulted.
- 35:35Speaker 3: And I think you basically, we.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Get dental for half, yes, bottom half.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you get the bottom half because that's where the
- 35:45Speaker 2: sound bounces from.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Beef, and you have pearly whites top.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Well, we get both halves covered. Yeah, and and we
- 35:54Speaker 2: get entire pills. I think there was a thing that
- 35:56Speaker 2: you guys got halves of pills.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Okay, so I thought that was I thought my pharmacist
- 36:01Speaker 5: was an asshole.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought my doctor was giving me little puzzles,
- 36:06Speaker 1: little puzzles to solve.
- 36:08Speaker 2: I guess on this last day, I'm sitting around thinking
- 36:10Speaker 2: about how the empire we left is one that might
- 36:14Speaker 2: have consisted of gender inequality.
- 36:17Speaker 1: It's cool that you did it in prank format, though,
- 36:19Speaker 1: because it's not like you told us we couldn't get
- 36:21Speaker 1: birth control or anything like that. Right, A lot of
- 36:24Speaker 1: that stuff was covered. You just sort of made it,
- 36:27Speaker 1: uh kooky hijinks for us to get bills.
- 36:29Speaker 3: And you asked it.
- 36:30Speaker 2: You had to go to us before we provided mental
- 36:32Speaker 2: health care for you.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and it.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Landed in your lap in a funny way, like finding
- 36:40Speaker 5: out we sleep standing up.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well you know I made that.
- 36:43Speaker 2: I made that, uh the cuckoo bananas line where I
- 36:46Speaker 2: had you guys write down what you thought you were
- 36:49Speaker 2: going through mentally, put it in one of those little
- 36:51Speaker 2: bank tubes, shoot it up through the whole sky and
- 36:53Speaker 2: come out into my lap. Well, well, we had the
- 37:01Speaker 2: guys for MythBusters come in. Adam Sabbath came in and
- 37:05Speaker 2: he built it for us and it was well, let's
- 37:07Speaker 2: talk about our favorite guess, favorite guests Oh my god,
- 37:12Speaker 2: Carson Presley from Queer Eye the Original.
- 37:15Speaker 3: And four Sons. Absolutely. I loved when Carson Day brought
- 37:21Speaker 3: in his four sons and they all sounded the exact same.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And I love that they have a little boys choir,
- 37:27Speaker 2: but they all sing hi alto.
- 37:29Speaker 3: What about Saint Jaya? Sanjaia was the best sanjiais His
- 37:35Speaker 3: career took off. San Gia I still crossed fingers.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Remember when we sent Sanji to the Casey Anthony trial.
- 37:43Speaker 3: To sing.
- 37:47Speaker 4: That I forgot about all the court stuff we did.
- 37:51Speaker 5: Oh yeah, really gorgeous sketch where Paris Hill was being
- 37:59Speaker 5: interview by O. J.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Simpson, Yes, being interviewed by O. J. Simpson, Classic court
- 38:05Speaker 3: case stuff. Hello, who is this OJ? Why are you
- 38:13Speaker 3: interviewing me? You did it? So big debate was if
- 38:18Speaker 3: he did it or not? Was debated whether you were
- 38:21Speaker 3: gonna do OJ's voice. By that time, I got too
- 38:25Speaker 3: much shovel.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Last time you did's voice?
- 38:28Speaker 5: Remember that time you dressed what you did lkay? Remember
- 38:31Speaker 5: that time you took me in LK. You put us
- 38:33Speaker 5: in two drench coats on top of each other. You
- 38:35Speaker 5: sent us in the John Bename Beene Ramsey case.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny. That was funny oyer to call an
- 38:44Speaker 2: all star witness and you guys did the mashed potato
- 38:46Speaker 2: on the stand. And again we are in a radio format,
- 38:52Speaker 2: so we hear the judge going order, order, What are
- 38:55Speaker 2: you doing?
- 38:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I said, to be real poetic. That was awesome.
- 38:59Speaker 3: We've had so much fun, so many good debates. Remember
- 39:02Speaker 3: when we debated assisted suicide. Yeah, we did. I remember that.
- 39:06Speaker 4: That was way out of our death.
- 39:07Speaker 3: That was a lot. We kept saying, pink car.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Blue car, pink car, blue car explode.
- 39:15Speaker 2: We didn't quite know. I mean, we've seen so many
- 39:18Speaker 2: things come and go in this era. You know, a transmember.
- 39:21Speaker 2: When we used to make fun of the Kardashians and
- 39:23Speaker 2: now I'm calling them every day asking for a job.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I do.
- 39:28Speaker 4: What job do you want?
- 39:29Speaker 3: I'm doing undercover ass.
- 39:31Speaker 2: It's a prank show where I pretend to be Kim
- 39:34Speaker 2: Kardashian's big ass.
- 39:37Speaker 4: That doesn't sound like their brand ass.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Yeah are you? Yeah? I thought they were over these
- 39:43Speaker 3: and I'm confused.
- 39:45Speaker 2: You walk around pretending to be Kim Kardashians big ass.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I hug her like a koala, and I walk around
- 39:52Speaker 2: being her ass. It's I pitched it to her as
- 39:55Speaker 2: a prank that I'm pitching it, but also if they
- 39:58Speaker 2: take it, I'll do it.
- 39:59Speaker 1: I think you I'd be pranked by a different radio host.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Really, I don't know if they're interesting.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Well, let's not bring up our rival show, Cody and
- 40:12Speaker 2: the Splash.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Cody broken the Splash. It's like kind of an
- 40:16Speaker 3: amalgamation of all the things we are.
- 40:18Speaker 1: And they started a year later, I think to make
- 40:21Speaker 1: fun of you guys.
- 40:21Speaker 3: And of course they are on one hundred the cool,
- 40:25Speaker 3: which plays the best music. We are kind of limited
- 40:28Speaker 3: with our music. They got to play a lot of
- 40:31Speaker 3: alt rock stuff. They gotta play a lot of cooler stuff.
- 40:34Speaker 3: You know, it's just tough.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Well, they were always a little bit more PC.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Yeah, they were lamer. They wouldn't know.
- 40:41Speaker 5: They weren't talking about court cases.
- 40:44Speaker 3: But bistiny, I think your song is playing on that
- 40:47Speaker 3: station right now, right.
- 40:49Speaker 6: I did have a I had a brief moment in
- 40:53Speaker 6: my music career when I woke up in the middle
- 40:55Speaker 6: of the night and had a personality and I wrote
- 40:59Speaker 6: a song.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Man, wish we were there for that. I wish we
- 41:02Speaker 2: got that, But I'm glad you got it for yourself.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it was wild.
- 41:06Speaker 5: But my song, yeah, and my song does play on
- 41:09Speaker 5: their radio station and.
- 41:10Speaker 3: I hate that. I hate that, boys, I hate that,
- 41:13Speaker 3: but I can't get it back.
- 41:14Speaker 5: But it's so catchy though, sing yeah, yeah, it's a
- 41:21Speaker 5: uh what's the.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Title of it again? I don't really remember. So what
- 41:25Speaker 3: do I dream of? Yeah?
- 41:27Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, what do I dream?
- 41:33Speaker 3: Dreaming?
- 41:34Speaker 5: Seems cove my notebook school.
- 41:41Speaker 6: Dream and the dream of my memes, memes of my
- 41:46Speaker 6: mom in the pool.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Yeah. So it was really just like that.
