- 0:13SPEAKER_02: I hope you're in good spirits.
- 0:16SPEAKER_02: I hope you have had a wonderful week this week.
- 0:23SPEAKER_02: I have.
- 0:55SPEAKER_02: I was sleeping in the car.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: You know how it is.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: Had a little special project to do yesterday and today in LA.
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: Can't talk about it.
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: I'm under a non-disclosure agreement.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: God bless.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: Non-disclosure.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: Non-disclosure.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: First learned about non-disclosure agreements at my church.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: Yep, God knows to use a lot of those.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: Man.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: You know, people tell me, I don't like it when you say stuff about church.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: You're gonna make people hate God and never wanna go to church.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: I was like, I ain't trying to make people hate God.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: God doesn't have a non-disclosure agreement.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: Okay?
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: If God wants you to be quiet, he'll just kill you.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: He'll just you'll just die.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: You'll just fall over dead.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: He'll flood, he'll flood your house.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: You're just dead.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: You're gone.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: God doesn't need a non-disclosure agreement to shut you up.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: That's a that's a person thing.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: That is a man thing.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: That is not enough God thing.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: Crazy.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Look, here's the deal.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: I don't want you guys to think that I hate church.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: I don't hate church.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: I still go to church.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: I don't hate it.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: I don't.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: What I hate is mega churches, or even smaller churches, just churches in general, that use the Bible to financially gain a dominance over other people.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: You know?
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: The pastor's a millionaire, but everybody in the congregation isn't doing well.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: That's not, that's not a no, that's not cool.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: Because if you're called, let's just say, right?
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: Let's just say you're called by the Lord Himself to pastor, to preach at a church, you should, you should have what you need, and the church needs to get what they need.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: And if there's poor in the church, or if there's widows or orphans or whatever, if the all those things are set in the mouth, you help take care of them.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: You take care of them.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: You make sure nobody's wanting.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: Nobody's going to bed hungry at the church.
- 3:26SPEAKER_02: If y'all got money, put it together, make sure everybody's got what they need.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: Does that mean everybody's going to Disneyland?
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: Of course not.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: But make sure everybody's got what they need.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: They got a place to sleep, nutrition, school books, paper.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Sorry, I'm thinking about back to school.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: You know, just that's that's it, you know.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: But what are you gonna do?
- 3:53SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: So after I had that stuff yesterday, I went to the lab, the Hollywood Improv lab, and I've I've thrown my name in the hat there a couple times.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: Never got picked.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Never.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: Yesterday was my lucky day, though.
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: I got picked at a pretty good number.
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: It was towards the second half, but right at the beginning of the second half.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: The set went really well.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: It went really well.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: It's a three-minute set.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: The first minute I got six laughs, the second minute I got seven laughs, and the third minute I got five laughs.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: So, altogether, that's an average of six laughs per minute in a room where there's mostly comics and my peers.
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: So I am very proud of that.
- 4:37SPEAKER_02: I was very happy about that.
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: It went well, it's really cool, and I'm excited about that.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: Then I went over to the comedy store.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: The comedy store, the comedy store.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: I went over to the comedy store, and I saw uh that they were having set of the night, which is every Wednesday, if you guys don't know.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: Uh, and I was like, you know what?
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: I'll throw my name in the bucket.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: Am I gonna get pulled?
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: There's freaking 300 comics here.
- 5:08SPEAKER_02: Am I gonna get pulled?
- 5:09SPEAKER_02: No, I'm not gonna get pulled.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: Yep, sure enough, got pulled about five minutes into the show.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: Got pulled.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: I was literally on the second list of names.
- 5:18SPEAKER_02: Got pulled, went up there, and I had just it was okay.
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: I'll give it like a four out of ten.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: It was okay.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: I wish I would have changed up the jokes a little bit because it was mostly comics in the room, but less audience members than there was at, say, the Hollywood improv earlier.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: So when I tried to do my jokes, like they just they weren't giving me anything, you know what I mean?
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: And and people were getting real nasty.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: They were getting real nasty.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: They were saying a lot of nasty things, you know, a lot of nasty things.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: Talking about butt stuff and stuff, a lot of butt stuff.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: And I was like, ew, I don't want to talk about butt stuff.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: I don't really, you know, that's not that's not my thing, you know.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: Butt stuff, that's not no.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: I'm just I'm just not no, that's just not me.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: And so I I felt like my set could have gone better if I would have changed up some of the material that I was choosing to do instead of doing what I did.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: And you know, they were like, yeah, it was fine.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: Wasn't a bomb, but I wasn't like great, it was just, it was just meh, it was just fine.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: You know?
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: It's the the worrying part is when you go up there and they're like, you need to stop doing this, you know, because you see that happen to some people sometimes.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: They're like, please don't come back, you are not good at this, don't don't do this again, you know what I'm saying?
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: And uh well, that's never happened to me, so I'm I'm thankful to God.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: I'm thankful to God uh that that's never happened, because that would be sad if somebody told me, like, hey, you really should not pursue this anymore.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: You are not good at this, you're not made for this, built for this.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: This is not for you.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: I would be very sad.
- 7:08SPEAKER_02: So luckily that's never happened.
- 7:09SPEAKER_02: They've always either said it was a good set, put me in the finals, or just you know, whatever.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: If they don't say anything, I feel like it's kind of just like, eh, it's whatever, it's a set.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: You did a set.
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst.
- 7:23SPEAKER_02: It's just a set.
- 7:25SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: And then afterward, I was talking with someone, excuse me, by the way.
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: It's burped a couple times.
- 7:32SPEAKER_02: I had some Cajun fries from five guys.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: Five guys' Cajun fries, you know what I'm saying?
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: Uh I was talking with somebody outside of the store as I was walking to my car.
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: And they were telling me, like, oh, why'd you why'd you like not like your set?
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: And and I was like talking.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: And he goes, he goes, I want you to be thankful because you you did the battle.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: The first part of the battle was you showing up today, the second part of the battle was you going up there and like doing your thing.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: And he's like, and you got up at both clubs today.
- 8:17SPEAKER_02: He said, There are so many people in that room that did not get up at either one, and you got up at both, so you should be happy because you got up at both, and I was like, You're freaking right.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: Like, I I was blessed to have that opportunity to go on those stages with some hilarious funny people, and I love being in a room with people that are much funnier than me, and I love seeing how they do things and how they do act outs and what their timing looks like and stuff, and I feel like there's a lot I can learn from my own jokes and my own style from people that are more experienced than me.
- 9:05SPEAKER_02: Because I've only been in this for just two years now, you know, and so I'm seeing somebody go up there that there is a vet, you know, and they go up there and they're doing these act outs and they're and they're commanding the room, and it's the it's the it's their stage presence, their swagger, it's the aura, dare I say, the aura when you step on stage.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: You just connect with the room.
- 9:28SPEAKER_02: That's really what it is.
- 9:29SPEAKER_02: When you connect with the room, it just you know, you get in that pocket and you just you just start ripping.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: That's just what it is.
- 9:36SPEAKER_02: You just start absolutely freaking ripping.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: Ripping.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: So yeah, uh, it was I was blessed to be able to go up uh at both clubs.
- 9:49SPEAKER_02: Um that was really fun.
- 9:51SPEAKER_02: And uh had a good experience.
- 9:53SPEAKER_02: Had a good experience, it was cool.
- 9:55SPEAKER_02: Uh today I did a tour guy spot at above the iron, where I was helping out in the audio booth, helping out a little bit behind the scenes, got to do a little cold open, a little cold open.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: And uh yeah, I'm very appreciative for the audio people out there that do the sound that bring us up to the hype music, and they and they have us all focused up on what we're doing, and they they keep the order properly and all that stuff.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: I'm very appreciative for those people.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: I just did it tonight.
- 10:30SPEAKER_02: That could be hard work.
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: You gotta sit there just in case the mic goes out, and you can switch the mic out or the cord out or whatever.
- 10:37SPEAKER_02: Gotta be on your toes, ready to go, you know what I'm saying?
- 10:42SPEAKER_02: Sorry if you guys can hear that.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: I really don't mean that.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: I just I'm drinking a sprite.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: That's appreciative.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: Uh okay, so other things we're gonna talk about.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: Um, so I seen this news article.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: Okay, I seen this news article about this new movie called The Odyssey.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you guys have seen this movie, The Odyssey, but it's like this huge film by Christopher Nolan, which by the way, can we talk about Christopher Nolan for a second?
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: I I I am not going to take any Christopher Nolan slander from anybody and any messages or comments.
- 11:24SPEAKER_02: Christopher Nolan is an absolute G when it comes to movies, and I will not have my voice not heard right now on my pod.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: The Dark Knight is his best film.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: I don't care what you say.
- 11:37SPEAKER_02: You want to go say that one of those movies that starts with an eye is the best movie?
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: No.
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: No.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: The Dark Knight is the best movie he's ever made.
- 11:53SPEAKER_02: The best one.
- 11:54SPEAKER_02: It is also the best comic book movie ever made.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: You have all these Marvel movies coming out, most of them freaking suck.
- 12:01SPEAKER_02: They're freaking boo-boo poo-poo falofoo.
- 12:05SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: They suck.
- 12:08SPEAKER_02: The Dark Knight was amazing.
- 12:12SPEAKER_02: So imagine that first scene where you see him.
- 12:15SPEAKER_02: He's in the bank, he puts that grenade in that guy's mouth, and he goes, Stranger.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: You know, that was probably terrible.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: But you see him and you're like, wow, that?
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: That's my hero.
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: Watch him as he goes out of that bank in that bus.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: And then you see him again with the mob bosses.
- 12:38SPEAKER_02: He goes, how about a magic trick?
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: And then he pokes the pencil through that guy's eye.
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: Are you kidding me?
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: It's just, it's, it's, it's a masterpiece.
- 12:58SPEAKER_02: There's just no other way to describe it other than an absolute masterpiece.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: I I'm I'm breathless.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: I have lost the breath in my lungs.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: I am breathless.
- 13:05SPEAKER_02: I don't know what else to say.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: It's a masterpiece.
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: It's an absolute masterclass, a masterpiece.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: Thank you, Mr.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: Nolan, for the dark night.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: That's your best movie.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: Now, here's the thing: getting back to the article, I I have heard that this movie would be the greatest movie without with the least amount of special effects.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: With the least amount of special effects.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: So he likes to use like practical props and and characters and costumes and outfits and stuff, the least amount of CGI, the least amount of AI, the least amount used possible.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: Cause frick computers, am I right?
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: That's my point.
- 13:51SPEAKER_02: This whole article is like, wow, isn't this amazing?
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: We don't need technology like this.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: We can choose to do it ourselves.
- 13:59SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm talking about.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: Let's keep it within the race.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: The race of humanity, I say.
- 14:06SPEAKER_02: Not the race of robots.
- 14:08SPEAKER_02: Let's keep it to ourselves.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: Don't be giving them these robots jobs.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: You know what everybody's posting right now?
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: Everybody's posting! You know why it's so hot outside?
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Because you guys are posting all these AI flyers and these AI videos.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: That's probably freaking true too.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: It's probably global warming and it's probably your fault.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: AI's fault.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: Okay?
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: Stop using AI, you freaking nerdy.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: I'm sick of it, man.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: Every single place, every single time I look, there's freaking AI on this and AI on that.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: AI flyers, AI videos.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: I only use AI for medical advice, okay?
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: That's the way you should use it.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: For medical advice only.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: You should not be using Chat GPT for anything other than medical advice.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: And you take that advice and you take it to the bank because the cause because the machine knows your humanity.
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: And knows you.
- 15:10SPEAKER_02: It knows how much your body can take.
- 15:13SPEAKER_02: It knows how to heal you, and you better listen to AI.
- 15:18SPEAKER_02: Because AI stands for actually insane.
- 15:22SPEAKER_02: And by actually insane, I mean talented and gifted as a doctor.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: So you better be using chat GPT.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: Chat GPT.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: G as in gastrointestinal, P as in pancreas, and and T as in pterodactyl.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: Which by the way, pee, pee, pisses me off that that has a P in it.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: Anybody else pieced off that has a P?
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: I'm freaking pissed off.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: For sure.
- 16:09SPEAKER_02: Uh, but yeah, uh freaking moving on.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: Um I I have something exciting going on.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: I can't talk about it right now.
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: I can't talk about it yet.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: I don't want everybody to get overly hyped up.
- 16:21SPEAKER_02: And by everybody, I mean the people that still listen to this pod.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: The the I I I had taken a little bit of time off because I needed to get the bills right, you know, and I had to get some stuff taken care of.
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: So I lost a little bit.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: I lost a little bit of the of the audience.
- 16:38SPEAKER_02: I hope to come back.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: Whoever my Hong Kong friend was, I hope you come back.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: I miss you, Hong Kong.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: I miss you, Hong Kong.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: But yeah, you know, I s I only got like 40 40 40 downloads on my last one and about 40 for the other one.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: So normally it's about 80 apiece-ish, give or take, a little bit in either direction, but this one was like 80 total for these last two, so I feel like I feel like y'all were upset.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: I wasn't I wasn't taking care of my business, and and you guys like, hey, I'll freaking stop listening then.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: That's what I'll do.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: You don't want to be consistent?
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna stop listening, you freaking fatty, you little fatso.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: Don't you ever stop recording the pod while we're here supporting the pod?
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: Don't you ever stop recording that pod?
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: If you're if we're first if we're standing here and we're supporting your podcast, you better freaking do the freaking podcast, you bum.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: Loud and clear, I hear you.
- 17:38SPEAKER_02: Loud and clear.
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: Speaking of bums, you bali! You guys know Rocky?
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: There's a movie coming out called I Play Rocky, and it's about Sylvester Stallone.
- 17:48SPEAKER_02: Sylvester, it's about Sylvester Stallone pitching the movie Rocky to the movie company for them to make and produce and pay.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: Uh, as as him being the lead, he says, I'm Rocky, I'm Rocky.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: If you don't want me, I'm gonna take it somewhere.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: I'm Rocky, I'm gonna take it somewhere else.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: I'm Rocky, I play Rocky.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: Um, and yeah, the movie actually looks nuts.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: We should definitely check it out.
- 18:20SPEAKER_02: The movie looks great.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, a lot of stuff going on at the movie.
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: Spider-Man comes out next week.
- 18:26SPEAKER_02: You have Spider-Man.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: You guys like Spider-Man?
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: Freaking Spider-Man, Spider-Man does whatever.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Spider-Man's kind of lit.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: Um, I hope the movie's good.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Honestly, the last couple of them have been good, the Spider-Man movies.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: Uh, especially the last one where we had all the other Spideys.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: Spoiler alert! Um, if you haven't seen it by now, then that's your freaking absolute fault that you haven't seen the most recent Spider-Man.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, excited about Spider-Man coming out.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: It's always good when a when a new uh Marvel movie comes out because there's a lot of hype around it.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: A lot of seats getting sold, theaters selling out, and and and just being happy that there's a new Marvel movie in town.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: You see the managers so happy that their building is full and that there's families buying$30 popcorns to keep them in business.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: You know, that's what I'm saying.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: Goodness gracious.
- 19:30SPEAKER_02: But yeah, so that's exciting.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: Uh Spider-Man's Spider-Man's cool.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: Um, let's talk about gaming for a middle, a little bit.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: Freaking gaming.
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: You guys used to game as kids?
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: Man, we used to play all kinds of games as kids.
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: We started off having the original NES, the Nintendo Entertainment System.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: That's what we had at home.
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: And we uh got some more games for it, and we had like a bunch of controllers, we had like the joystick controllers that you could switch between the players, but it was a joystick.
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: We had regular controllers, we had mini controllers.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: I mean, the Nintendo was fantastic.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: Think about Excite Bike, think about Mario.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: My personal favorite, Duck Hunt, ladies and gentlemen.
- 20:33SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 20:36SPEAKER_02: That was a really good rendition of the music.
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm talking about?
- 20:39SPEAKER_02: I don't know why it shows my audio is spiking.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: If you guys have had to turn this down, I apologize.
- 20:44SPEAKER_02: It's showing like my microphone is literally spiking the sound, and I I don't know what that is.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: Maybe I need to get new headphones.
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: I d I don't know what the reason is for that.
- 20:55SPEAKER_02: That's that's pretty wild, pretty, pretty, pretty crazy.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, long story short, um freaking the movies are fun, it's just very expensive.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: Very expensive to take a whole family.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, we try and do we try and do our best and get out to the movies that we really, really, really want to see and and that the kids want to see too.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: Um you know, because when we go out, if if you guys get a movie, let me ask you guys this.
- 21:22SPEAKER_02: If you're watching a movie with some kids, like say, I don't know, your kids, maybe, maybe somebody else's kids, but hopefully not.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: Um when you guys all see a movie together and the movie's good, and it's like family friendly, it's literally such a great time.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: Sitting in the movie theater, and you get all comfy, and and and and my kids are like, Oh, let me get some Reese's pieces to put in my popcorn or MMs to put in the popcorn and and a little soda, a little icy, a little pizza, a little nacho.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: It's just you can just get to be a little piggy for a little bit and sit down and watch.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: A big movie in a comfy chair.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: There's just not a lot of things going on like that anymore, you know.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: Everybody's all uptight and putting things up their butts and stuff and doing all this butt stuff, this nasty butt, you know.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: And I'm just trying to sit in a movie theater with my family for a little bit and just enjoy myself, you know, just enjoy myself.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: And it's kind of hard to enjoy yourself when you spend$120 on food and tickets.
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: You know, the ticket, the kids' tickets are always$15.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: It's like$14 for a dang kids' ticket.
- 22:33SPEAKER_02: And then the adult tickets are$16.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: So then we have to get four of them in total.
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: So two two kids, two adults, because Chloe doesn't count yet.
- 22:41SPEAKER_02: And we gotta spend freaking$60 or$70 or whatever it is you gotta spend to get into the movies.
- 22:50SPEAKER_02: Then you gotta spend another 60 at kid sessions.
- 22:53SPEAKER_02: So it's like$130.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: That's like that's like almost a whole day's pay for me to get to go see a movie.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: And so, yeah, do I love doing it?
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: I absolutely love doing it.
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: But next time we're just gonna have to sneak in.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: We're just gonna have to sneak in, and they're just gonna make sure that they don't see us, and we'll we'll have our our soda cups ready because we shoot we we get the the yearly seasonal soda cups, you know what I'm saying?
- 23:18SPEAKER_02: And then you you get soda throughout the year just at refill price.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: It's actually quite an incredible deal if you guys go to the movies frequently.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Shout out Arkans movie theater with their with your passes and stuff.
- 23:29SPEAKER_02: That's pretty cool.
- 23:30SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, I used to love going to the movie as kids, as a kid too.
- 23:34SPEAKER_02: I used to go to the movie with my grandma.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: We saw The Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King, five times in the movie theater.
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: Isn't that insane?
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: Five whole times.
- 23:45SPEAKER_02: I think that's crazy to see the same movie more than once, but to see it five times, I saw Frodo and Sam Wise Gamji defeat the one ring five times in a movie theater, and I'm freaking hyped up.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: I'm freaking hyped up.
- 24:07SPEAKER_02: I freaking love that movie.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: By the way, in just a minute, I'm gonna have to go on pause because I gotta do a little meeting right now.
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: I gotta do a little meeting, a little something, something, a little something, something over here.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: But yeah, um, freaking what are we gonna talk about before I get on this little this little break, this little hiatus is the episode's almost over.

- 25:35SPEAKER_02: Can I get a can I get get get can I get an applause?
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: Just book two more spots.
- 25:43SPEAKER_02: Uh, we're gonna try it out.
- 25:44SPEAKER_02: Owner is interested to see uh what comedy looks like at his venue if he wants to have comedy a part of his uh regular routine, uh like bi-weekly or monthly.
- 25:57SPEAKER_02: So gonna check it out.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: He owns two spots over here in Redlands, and so let's freak and go.
- 26:02SPEAKER_02: Let's do it.
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: I'm freaking excited, it's gonna be great.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: Uh uh uh uh I also did an open mic out here in downtown Redlands, and there was a guy that was uh, you know, kind of like he wasn't like heckling, but he's like, you know, kind of like saying stuff about my jokes.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: Like he was laughing and he was clearly intoxicated.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: And yeah, excuse me, there's the yawn.
- 26:24SPEAKER_02: There it is.
- 26:25SPEAKER_02: And so I asked him, like, oh, what's your name?
- 26:28SPEAKER_02: And he's like, Francisco, and I'm like, Oh, Francisco, but he was like super white, so I was like, Okay, that's interesting.
- 26:33SPEAKER_02: He goes, huh, huh?
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: I said, Is your name Francisco?
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: He goes, uh, no, and I was like, Okay, I said, What do you do, Francisco?
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: And he goes, I'm a male prostitute, uh huh.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, Oh yeah, yeah, that's what you are.
- 26:50SPEAKER_02: A little male prostitute, alright, for sure.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: And then afterward, he came up to me and he was like, Huh, by the way, I'm not actually a male prostitute, and I was like, Yeah, no, I I I figured, you know, you had a girlfriend sitting next to you.
- 27:08SPEAKER_02: You know?
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: She's paying for you.
- 27:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I figured you probably weren't a prostitute.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: So, but yeah, thanks for clarifying, bud.
- 27:19SPEAKER_02: Appreciate you.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: He goes, Yeah, I just uh I didn't want you thinking I was actually a prostitute.
- 27:25SPEAKER_02: It's like alright, for sure.
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: And I was like, you know, do you normally do that?
- 27:30SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, during comedy shows, do you like because you know you gotta try and straighten him out before you leave, you know what I'm saying?
- 27:35SPEAKER_02: I know he's drunk, but like maybe, maybe in his brain there'll be some little nugget stored in there so next time he doesn't pipe up, you know.
- 27:43SPEAKER_02: I said, you know, do you normally do that at comedy shows?
- 27:45SPEAKER_02: Like, like try and talk to the comedian?
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: And he goes, huh, uh, yeah, I I I I like to.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: And I was like, oh yeah, and he goes, Yeah, I really like to lie.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: I really like to lie to the comics to make the crowd laugh.
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: So yeah, that was fun.
- 28:08SPEAKER_02: I was like, wait a second, so you're not a male prostitute?
- 28:13SPEAKER_02: What the frick, you bamboozled me, you bamboozler.
- 28:17SPEAKER_02: You bamboozler.
- 28:20SPEAKER_02: That was nuts.
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, so that happened, and uh I was lied to.
- 28:28SPEAKER_02: I like to lie.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: I think that's gonna be the name of the episode.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: I like to lie.
- 28:33SPEAKER_02: I like to lie to make people laugh.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: That's the name of the episode.
