- 1:13Speaker 1: I have a lot to say about this episode, and

- 1:55Speaker 1: your things, think about them, and then we'll get in.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I sincerely hope that you're doing well and I'm excited
- 2:02Speaker 1: to talk about these crazy as people. Okay, so and
- 2:06Speaker 1: all my love to Hannah, Armando and Kenny. So I
- 2:10Speaker 1: there's kind of from where I record this. From what
- 2:14Speaker 1: we know, there's like been daily updates and supposedly, right,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I mean hopefully right now she's out of the hospital
- 2:18Speaker 1: and everything is good, not everything, you know. I'm sorry.
- 2:21Speaker 1: My heart is with them, is what I'm trying to say. Okay,
- 2:24Speaker 1: let's get someone just like out of the way, you
- 2:26Speaker 1: know what I'm saying just like get them, let them
- 2:28Speaker 1: get them done. That's Paala and Thomas. Okay, so let
- 2:33Speaker 1: me just say this. I love Pala a lot, like
- 2:35Speaker 1: I think she has a very great personality, and she's
- 2:38Speaker 1: sort of like someone had asked her if she was
- 2:41Speaker 1: like trans on her social media and she answered in
- 2:44Speaker 1: a way that was like really classy. It's almost like
- 2:48Speaker 1: she I think she almost said she is, and or
- 2:50Speaker 1: she doesn't even or she didn't even answer in a
- 2:52Speaker 1: way that is clear, in a way that like lets
- 2:56Speaker 1: people think that she doesn't want to be late trans.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Does that make sense? So I think it's like weird
- 3:05Speaker 1: to ask someone, you know that, So she doesn't have
- 3:08Speaker 1: to owe anyone an answer or not. But the way
- 3:11Speaker 1: she did answer was I thought, great, So we think
- 3:16Speaker 1: she's great. Do we do we love? Do we think
- 3:18Speaker 1: this storyline is just so interesting? No? No, I mean
- 3:22Speaker 1: maybe you know God bless so because it's like do
- 3:26Speaker 1: we care about his weird smell allergy? And for some reason,
- 3:31Speaker 1: they had really set up the fact that she was
- 3:33Speaker 1: vegan and that he only eat meat. He only eats meat,
- 3:37Speaker 1: and it's like come up not that much. You would
- 3:40Speaker 1: think it would come up more, but like suddenly there
- 3:43Speaker 1: was this monkey wrench of like his family's situation, his
- 3:47Speaker 1: family dynamic, and then there was also like a turn
- 3:50Speaker 1: that happens in this episode. First of all, let's start
- 3:53Speaker 1: Paula gets you know, Thomas's stepmom, Reeni, re re could
- 3:59Speaker 1: you if she was like Rihanna Renie to invite her
- 4:06Speaker 1: to a beautiful day of planting seeds, plant the seeds
- 4:10Speaker 1: of the friendship and listen. I paid attention because I
- 4:14Speaker 1: feel like Renee probably knows how to keep a plant
- 4:17Speaker 1: alive because she kept Thomas alive and Thomas had a
- 4:20Speaker 1: bad mom. And you know, I kill plants. I desperately
- 4:26Speaker 1: need just like a normal houseplant to exist in my
- 4:30Speaker 1: apartment because A it's like good functui, but also b
- 4:33Speaker 1: because I have corners that could really use, you know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: just a beautiful, high level, you know, piece of decor
- 4:45Speaker 1: that takes up space vertically. That's why I said high
- 4:48Speaker 1: level that it makes sense, but like you know, sitting
- 4:50Speaker 1: in a corner that's like vertical. So I would love
- 4:53Speaker 1: a plant, but I will kill it, like I there's
- 4:56Speaker 1: like every basil plant that comes home with me like shivers,
- 4:59Speaker 1: Like it's like the opposite of taking a child home
- 5:02Speaker 1: from an orphanage, like they know what's coming, you know,
- 5:04Speaker 1: I feel bad. So anyway, having said that, we can
- 5:07Speaker 1: learn from Renie. Renie. Also, I spent the first like
- 5:11Speaker 1: episode just staring at her face, being like, who do
- 5:15Speaker 1: you look like? To me? Like what is your face?
- 5:17Speaker 1: To me? And to me, Renie looks like Amelda Staunton.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Now you're like, who's Amelda Stonton? Now some people are like, oh,
- 5:27Speaker 1: I definitely know who she is, Chris, and I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 1: she's a British actress. Who you know who you absolutely know,
- 5:33Speaker 1: like you've seen her a billion times. In fact, it's
- 5:36Speaker 1: kind of hard to pick pictures of her from the
- 5:38Speaker 1: internet because she looks so wildly different in all of
- 5:41Speaker 1: her characters. She is a brilliant actress. She's a brilliant actress,
- 5:45Speaker 1: English actress. Uh you know, just look her up. They'll
- 5:50Speaker 1: be like, oh my god, it's Rene's face. It's so
- 5:51Speaker 1: interesting because like, you know, one person is from the
- 5:54Speaker 1: UK and is a dame. She's a dame, and one
- 6:00Speaker 1: person is Reenie. Okay, so anyway, this is weird. So
- 6:04Speaker 1: here we are. Now we know the crux of what
- 6:07Speaker 1: happened in the past, which is that Paula had met
- 6:11Speaker 1: Reenie met Thomas's dad, they had informed Paula or Paula
- 6:17Speaker 1: maybe got informed from Thomas. How shitt he Thomas's mom
- 6:21Speaker 1: was in the fact that they were abandoned by her
- 6:24Speaker 1: or whatnot. Reenie raised Thomas and is like sibling. So
- 6:29Speaker 1: then after they meet Greenie Thomas's dad, then Paula and
- 6:35Speaker 1: Thomas go and meet with Thomas's mom and for whatever reason,
- 6:41Speaker 1: Thomas's relationship and vibe with his mom isn't so awkward
- 6:46Speaker 1: or cold that Paula just didn't take some pictures and
- 6:51Speaker 1: then just decide to post them and then Thomas's stepmom
- 6:55Speaker 1: saw it and then got mad at her, like social
- 6:59Speaker 1: media drama and this kind of way is so dumb. Okay,
- 7:02Speaker 1: So this is That's one thing. Also, it's like, well, Thomas,
- 7:05Speaker 1: if why isn't Thomas at all talked about in this situation,
- 7:10Speaker 1: because I guess my question is and this is why
- 7:12Speaker 1: I was confusing until this episode. Was Thomas also having
- 7:17Speaker 1: fun with his mom at that time, like the time
- 7:21Speaker 1: of all three of them hanging out. Was Thomas having
- 7:24Speaker 1: a good time with his mom? Was he upset that
- 7:27Speaker 1: Paula was taking pictures or was he okay with it?
- 7:31Speaker 1: Was he upset that she was posting the pictures or
- 7:33Speaker 1: was he okay with it? If he was okay with it,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I would like to know, so okay. So there are
- 7:39Speaker 1: dual conversations, Like I said, there's going to be a
- 7:42Speaker 1: Pala Amelda just kidding Reeny conversation, and there's gonna be
- 7:46Speaker 1: a Thomas and Thomas's dad conversation. Now when Thomas is
- 7:50Speaker 1: talking to Thomas's dad and I don't know why, I
- 7:53Speaker 1: don't know his name, obviously I don't. There are two
- 7:56Speaker 1: parts of that conversation. One is like, so sorry about
- 8:02Speaker 1: the drama with my mom coming to the wedding. It's
- 8:05Speaker 1: palace choice. Pala did that. Pala just doesn't understand that
- 8:10Speaker 1: other families are different from hers and not everyone's super
- 8:14Speaker 1: happy and wants to be around each other, and you know,
- 8:16Speaker 1: can tolerate that. You know, her family is super close.
- 8:19Speaker 1: There's all these people and they dance every weekend. We're like, oh,
- 8:23Speaker 1: is that how you feel? Because up until this point, Thomas,
- 8:27Speaker 1: I thought you were feeling you know what my mom,
- 8:30Speaker 1: you know, was going through it during my childhood. But
- 8:33Speaker 1: now we're trying to reconnect. I thought like that was
- 8:35Speaker 1: what you were coming with energetic wise, Arge was so
- 8:41Speaker 1: to put this all on her now, being like I
- 8:42Speaker 1: don't really want this, but she's pushing it is quite
- 8:46Speaker 1: a change. And then Thomas is like, but you know what, Dad,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I'll never forget who really took care of me. It
- 8:53Speaker 1: was you. Whenever I had a problem, I knew I
- 8:56Speaker 1: could call you and you would fix it. You're very secure, man,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and you know what, I felt that from my own
- 9:03Speaker 1: life as well, so I resonated with that. My dad
- 9:06Speaker 1: also is someone who I know I could count on
- 9:08Speaker 1: and not you know, and it really made a big
- 9:10Speaker 1: difference in me feeling secure as a child. Okay, He's like, yeah,
- 9:14Speaker 1: my dad is always my first call. I always felt safe.
- 9:16Speaker 1: And then you know Thomas's Dad's like, that's what being
- 9:20Speaker 1: a dad is. The highest calling is being able to
- 9:24Speaker 1: know that you're gonna be trusted. You're like, oh, that's sweet,
- 9:29Speaker 1: that's lovely. That's a lovely thing. That's like positive masculinity,
- 9:36Speaker 1: non toxic, organic masculinity. It's natural masculine. You know, I'm
- 9:44Speaker 1: trying to make a joke based upon like or you know, toxic. Okay,
- 9:47Speaker 1: we got us. I'm gonna move on, and you know
- 9:49Speaker 1: what we are from them, not a lot to say
- 9:52Speaker 1: because you know, this is a Shay Annabelle free episode,
- 9:59Speaker 1: no shame, no Hanna about So we'll do with that
- 10:03Speaker 1: what you will, which is, you know, maybe take some
- 10:05Speaker 1: time off and enjoy it, because I think that as
- 10:09Speaker 1: this season moves on, surely they have given us a
- 10:12Speaker 1: lot of crazy, fun couples, but for some reason, as
- 10:20Speaker 1: it marches forward, I can see some of the strings
- 10:25Speaker 1: or some of the producer pushed storylines that makes it
- 10:31Speaker 1: not as fun. And that's going to come up in
- 10:35Speaker 1: a couple of ways, but you know, not necessarily with
- 10:38Speaker 1: our next couple, Marissa and Edward or maybe so I'm
- 10:41Speaker 1: not quite sure, but I'm going to talk about it
- 10:42Speaker 1: a little bit with Mallory and Rashet. So but let's
- 10:45Speaker 1: talk about Marissa and Edward. Okay, So, as we know,
- 10:50Speaker 1: they've been having some problems, and mostly it's based upon
- 10:54Speaker 1: the following things. Marissa has always been preoccupied with the
- 11:00Speaker 1: fact that there is cultural differences and lifestyle differences between
- 11:08Speaker 1: her and Edward, and she was also somewhat fixated on
- 11:17Speaker 1: the financial aspect of that, and like even to the
- 11:20Speaker 1: point where her kids were kind of cognizant of it
- 11:23Speaker 1: in a way till you know, till now, once he
- 11:33Speaker 1: came she's been trying to almost in her mind, fill
- 11:39Speaker 1: the gap of how she perceives their relationship to be
- 11:45Speaker 1: with ways in which he can make her feel like
- 11:52Speaker 1: they're equal. Like in her mind, she's like, well, he
- 11:56Speaker 1: doesn't have a lot of experience. I'm going to be
- 11:59Speaker 1: paying for everything, so when he gets here, he better
- 12:02Speaker 1: do the He better do the following things really well.
- 12:05Speaker 1: A anything I ask of him, manual labor, taking care
- 12:10Speaker 1: of the boys, like jumping in like a pseudo parent
- 12:14Speaker 1: that knows the entire schedule and are specific and I
- 12:18Speaker 1: mean very particular ways of doing things, the absolute methodology
- 12:22Speaker 1: without any sort of handbook given to him, and to
- 12:30Speaker 1: like never embarrass me, but instead further my mental agenda
- 12:36Speaker 1: at all times. Like if he can do all that,
- 12:43Speaker 1: he can make up for the perceived, my perceived lack
- 12:45Speaker 1: of what he has. Like it feels like he came in.
- 12:48Speaker 1: This is what I guess I'm trying to say in
- 12:50Speaker 1: a lot of words. In her mind, he came in
- 12:53Speaker 1: with a debt that he had to repay in all
- 12:58Speaker 1: of these weird micro ways better obviously not just like
- 13:02Speaker 1: giving someone money, and obviously does not like other stuff
- 13:05Speaker 1: like sex. Like she's like, I want you to be
- 13:07Speaker 1: able to fix things around my house, and I want
- 13:10Speaker 1: you to make my life just easy, and I want
- 13:13Speaker 1: to feel good around you at all times. And I
- 13:17Speaker 1: haven't seen a way in which Edward hasn't done that.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Besides like something very obviously did he fix the gate? Right?
- 13:24Speaker 1: No he didn't, did she though, like give him the
- 13:29Speaker 1: materials to do so, or tell him what she wanted
- 13:34Speaker 1: or and also I guess in my mind, like if
- 13:38Speaker 1: you want him to do handiwork around your home, I
- 13:41Speaker 1: would assume that you would hire a professional handyman at
- 13:46Speaker 1: first and be like, hey, Edward, watch how he does things,
- 13:50Speaker 1: or get to know him so that like, if you
- 13:52Speaker 1: know we need something, I can just ask you to
- 13:54Speaker 1: do it. But like she had great expectations in certain
- 13:59Speaker 1: situation suations like her expectations of him knowing their morning
- 14:06Speaker 1: routine with her sons, or that she would want him
- 14:12Speaker 1: to wear matching outfits to her, or that he would
- 14:17Speaker 1: be expected to powerwalk at a middle aged suburban mom
- 14:27Speaker 1: power walk pace that wears the weights around her ankles,
- 14:31Speaker 1: all that stuff. You know what I'm saying, Like, I
- 14:34Speaker 1: wouldn't expect someone to know those things she does, and
- 14:39Speaker 1: she wants him to not just know it, perform it
- 14:42Speaker 1: perfectly because he should understand. He's at a debt and
- 14:48Speaker 1: he just thought that he was going to come be
- 14:52Speaker 1: with someone who he's like, enjoyed, who makes him feel like,
- 14:56Speaker 1: you know, probably very sexual and very successful sexual, and
- 15:02Speaker 1: she doesn't. And she's mad at herself and like mad
- 15:08Speaker 1: at him, but also like mostly mad at herself. But
- 15:13Speaker 1: instead of wanting to change anything about herself, she wants
- 15:17Speaker 1: him to change or for him to understand her better,
- 15:20Speaker 1: or for him to leave one of those things truly.
- 15:25Speaker 1: But until then, here we are. This is the episode
- 15:28Speaker 1: of people trying on dresses. Maybe we'll get more episodes
- 15:31Speaker 1: of that, Like, yeah, I'm assuming that at some point
- 15:33Speaker 1: Annabelle's gonna have to try on a dress in you know,
- 15:35Speaker 1: Paducah with her best friends Angie and Alison and Nicole.
- 15:42Speaker 1: But you know, here we are, So Marissa is trying
- 15:44Speaker 1: on her dress at guess what place, Kleinfeldt where she
- 15:48Speaker 1: no longer works. So I'm like, is that awkward. Anyway,
- 15:52Speaker 1: we have to get Dorothy on the tell, all right,
- 15:55Speaker 1: because Dorothy makes an appearance. Dorothy's obviously her work wife.
- 15:58Speaker 1: You know, we know her, we know what she looks like,
- 16:00Speaker 1: you know, we know her defining feature. I'm not going
- 16:02Speaker 1: to say it. She has her final fitting for her dress,
- 16:08Speaker 1: and besides Dorothy, she has her other friend there. And
- 16:11Speaker 1: both friends aren't like super calm and super you know,
- 16:15Speaker 1: secure in this, and you know neither is Marissa. Marissa
- 16:17Speaker 1: Shirley is and Marissa just is hot on the heels.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I'm telling all of her Pennsylvania friends how she's over
- 16:23Speaker 1: it and she's made a mistake, and she's embarrassed that
- 16:25Speaker 1: she made a mistake. And now she has to tell
- 16:27Speaker 1: her New York friends that she guess what is seventy
- 16:33Speaker 1: five percent sure, twenty five percenture, She's made a mistake.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I'm say I'm a quitcher, mathis Hart. They're like, we
- 16:42Speaker 1: don't know if she's gonna want to do it. Now.
- 16:47Speaker 1: When we see her dress, she says it's sexy and sophisticated.
- 16:52Speaker 1: It's surely very Panina Tourney looking unlined body con kind
- 16:59Speaker 1: of like pillar. I mean, yeah, like you know it
- 17:03Speaker 1: does look unlined. It's just the kind of unlined, kind
- 17:06Speaker 1: of lacey dress that looks like lingerie, but specifically like
- 17:14Speaker 1: two thousand and ten, twenty eleven. It's so funny. There's
- 17:19Speaker 1: a couple of dress styles right that like have taken
- 17:22Speaker 1: us over in the past, like twenty five years, and
- 17:24Speaker 1: we'll talk about Malory's dress style too, and why that
- 17:27Speaker 1: had a resurgence. You know, don't worry, but it's interesting. So,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I mean, her dress wasn't bad Marissa's, but you know,
- 17:33Speaker 1: she just really is like a big fan. She's like,
- 17:35Speaker 1: it's just like me, sexy and sophisticated or like, okay, yeah,
- 17:38Speaker 1: she really has an idea of herself and so when
- 17:41Speaker 1: things don't further that idea in that image in her mind,
- 17:45Speaker 1: she's upset about it. And she liked the idea of
- 17:48Speaker 1: just having someone who fucks her really well, who makes
- 17:50Speaker 1: her feel super sexy and it's hot and you know,
- 17:53Speaker 1: hot younger than her like be around. But at the
- 17:56Speaker 1: same time, she can't manage what feels like herringsnxiety day
- 18:01Speaker 1: by day in his presence, nor does she like appreciate
- 18:05Speaker 1: whatever he's doing in his life, nor is he you know,
- 18:09Speaker 1: like given the space to do something I guess productive enough.
- 18:16Speaker 1: She doesn't find him a productive and I need to
- 18:19Speaker 1: know what his idea of productive or productivity is or
- 18:24Speaker 1: what they had talked about. It feels like she wishes
- 18:29Speaker 1: she could just give him a list of chores around
- 18:32Speaker 1: the house. I wonder if she has. I wonder if
- 18:36Speaker 1: it's on a whiteboard. Anyway, So back to her friends
- 18:41Speaker 1: at clin Fel's, They're like, listen, we know why you're
- 18:44Speaker 1: in him. It's for the sex. And she's like, yep,
- 18:49Speaker 1: you're like I know, we get it. So basically she
- 18:55Speaker 1: starts to have a conversation where she wants them to
- 18:58Speaker 1: validate something, which is this, she's working in New York
- 19:02Speaker 1: for a long time. She decided not to bring him,
- 19:04Speaker 1: so there is obviously some space between them, and she's
- 19:06Speaker 1: happy about it. She's happy about a little bak. Meanwhile,
- 19:08Speaker 1: we're like, he's just stuck in Pennsylvania with her kids?
- 19:12Speaker 1: Are the kids with her ex? Is he just in
- 19:15Speaker 1: that big ass holm by himself? Also, can we see
- 19:19Speaker 1: what that looks like? Is he having the time of
- 19:21Speaker 1: his life? Is he power walking? Anyway? So, but in
- 19:27Speaker 1: you know, New York, where we are with her she's like, yeah,
- 19:30Speaker 1: he's just so demanding, so needy. It's like, he knows
- 19:34Speaker 1: I'm working, so I've been busy, so I haven't been
- 19:36Speaker 1: like texting him a thousand times a day. We're like, okay,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but have you texted him at all? And she's like,
- 19:43Speaker 1: and he's mad that I haven't called him at night. So,
- 19:45Speaker 1: you know, like I just was about to go to
- 19:46Speaker 1: bed and then I get this text being like, well,
- 19:49Speaker 1: hope you had a good day, And I know what
- 19:52Speaker 1: it means with the tone. I'm like, but the way
- 19:55Speaker 1: you're sounding, it makes it seem like you straight up
- 19:58Speaker 1: just didn't come unicate at all with your fiance all
- 20:02Speaker 1: day or that if you did, it was like once
- 20:05Speaker 1: in the very beginning and it was very short and
- 20:07Speaker 1: you didn't ask any questions about them. It was just like, yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm going to work, and then you just didn't text
- 20:13Speaker 1: them later. So yeah, at the end of the day,
- 20:17Speaker 1: they're like, oh, I hope you had it, because that
- 20:20Speaker 1: person knows you're laying in bed, like we're you know,
- 20:23Speaker 1: at some points you're laying in bed or you're just chilling,
- 20:26Speaker 1: you're just you know, waiting for something, you're just putting
- 20:28Speaker 1: on teeth, like you do have some downtime. You can't
- 20:32Speaker 1: just be always like working out. You're not just in
- 20:35Speaker 1: your one bedroom Upper West Side doing keegels maniacally into
- 20:40Speaker 1: the night until you pass out, like without any moment
- 20:44Speaker 1: to just text this man back. I don't know. I'm
- 20:45Speaker 1: just like not on her side obviously, and not about
- 20:49Speaker 1: you know completely. I just think that you didn't use
- 20:52Speaker 1: she was digmatized. I think she wanted her cake to
- 20:56Speaker 1: and eat it too. Okay, So basically next scene is
- 21:03Speaker 1: that she's dressed up super fancy and she is by
- 21:07Speaker 1: the bay. You know, I'm not quite side of the
- 21:10Speaker 1: She's on one of the sides of Manhattan. I'm not
- 21:14Speaker 1: quite sure. And he is coming to that place to
- 21:19Speaker 1: meet her, and we're like, wait, that's goa say, like
- 21:21Speaker 1: it sounds like she sent for him and he's just
- 21:23Speaker 1: going to come by himself. But then we realized that
- 21:25Speaker 1: he had asked her if they could meet up and
- 21:29Speaker 1: he got himself to New York. That part was interesting
- 21:33Speaker 1: because remember how like last time, he didn't know anything,
- 21:35Speaker 1: he even have his walle and she drove him there.
- 21:37Speaker 1: So what he just took the train and by himself,
- 21:40Speaker 1: and now he knows how to use like the turnstiles
- 21:41Speaker 1: and all that stuff. Or did the producers drive him.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I mean he came from the metro, so at some point,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I don't know if the producers like, we'll drive you there.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Just run to that metro, come back out, come up
- 21:51Speaker 1: the steps like you did it yourself, buddy. I don't know,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I need to know. But he comes out, he comes
- 21:58Speaker 1: with coffee. She's like, you get this for me. He's
- 22:01Speaker 1: like yeah, because he you know, his like defining feature
- 22:05Speaker 1: so far is that he thinks of her and loves
- 22:07Speaker 1: her constantly, just not to the exact way she wants
- 22:10Speaker 1: it all the time. So then it's like, yeah, he
- 22:15Speaker 1: wanted to meet with her, and you know, she obviously
- 22:19Speaker 1: had let it be known that she was second guessing
- 22:21Speaker 1: this situation, and she obviously has let it known, let
- 22:25Speaker 1: it be known to two sets of friends and two
- 22:27Speaker 1: separate states that she's kind of over it. And he
- 22:30Speaker 1: probably has heard that come back to him in some
- 22:32Speaker 1: way or something, or by the producers. To imagine to
- 22:36Speaker 1: having the conversation with all those women at a party
- 22:38Speaker 1: that you are at, how you have made a mistake
- 22:41Speaker 1: on stuff, and like now it's like weeks. A week later,
- 22:44Speaker 1: she's gone. So anyway, He's like, yeah, you know, how
- 22:47Speaker 1: do I don't feel good with you? Not at all,
- 22:52Speaker 1: not at all. You certainly haven't helped. She's like yeah, yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 1: He's like, you're really cold all the time, and you've
- 23:07Speaker 1: changed so much. You know me, I love love, I
- 23:12Speaker 1: love affection, and I can't be begging for love and affection,
- 23:16Speaker 1: especially because I know you and you've been in a
- 23:22Speaker 1: place where you've freely given it to me. There's been
- 23:26Speaker 1: parts of our relationship where you've been very touchy feely.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Now she likes sort of a is like, and that's
- 23:32Speaker 1: just you, that's not me, which is interesting because he
- 23:35Speaker 1: just got done saying that he knew that she had
- 23:37Speaker 1: that in her. Now, relationships go with the you know,
- 23:42Speaker 1: have a flow to them, surely, but it is hard
- 23:46Speaker 1: when you have like one person who loves physical attention,
- 23:50Speaker 1: physical touch, affection, intimacy and a person who doesn't. But
- 24:00Speaker 1: I I can see a world in which she really
- 24:04Speaker 1: like turns off. At the same time, you can't be
- 24:10Speaker 1: into someone and be attracted to someone if you aren't
- 24:13Speaker 1: feeling those vibes, you know, and it's like hard to fake.
- 24:19Speaker 1: And I think that's basically what he's feeling. I think
- 24:21Speaker 1: that he's I think that she has unfortunately slowly gotten
- 24:27Speaker 1: the ick if you you know, let me use that phrase,
- 24:32Speaker 1: and he feels it, and so she can't do all
- 24:36Speaker 1: the things she used to do when she didn't have
- 24:38Speaker 1: the ick, like fuck him, like touch him, like kiss him,
- 24:41Speaker 1: like hug him, like play with his penie, you know,
- 24:44Speaker 1: like all the things. You know what they are, but
- 24:48Speaker 1: you do, like me smelling them out for you. Okay.
- 24:51Speaker 1: So he's like, I fell in love with you because
- 24:59Speaker 1: you were loving So how about this Now I'm getting
- 25:03Speaker 1: the eke ick from you for having the inch from me,
- 25:06Speaker 1: I guess, and not giving me you know what I love,
- 25:10Speaker 1: which is love. And she really can't say anything because
- 25:14Speaker 1: she's right. He's right, like you know, he's right. And
- 25:17Speaker 1: at the same time she can be like, well, I
- 25:19Speaker 1: wanted to be more productive, and it's like, well, okay,
- 25:22Speaker 1: but what was like You would have to really show
- 25:24Speaker 1: us what that looked like. The producers haven't showed us
- 25:28Speaker 1: like him just laying around on the couch all day
- 25:31Speaker 1: playing video games like I would. I would like to
- 25:40Speaker 1: think that he does some stuff around the house like
- 25:42Speaker 1: you know, maybe not fix the gait perfectly, but I'm
- 25:46Speaker 1: assuming that he changes the laundry and like you know,
- 25:48Speaker 1: loads the dishwasher and unloads it, and like he says
- 25:52Speaker 1: that she cooks. I'm actually surprised that he doesn't cook
- 25:55Speaker 1: more because I don't think. I don't believe that she's
- 25:57Speaker 1: a great cook. I've seen them hardboiled eggs. Maybe he's
- 26:01Speaker 1: just I don't know, I don't know what. Maybe he
- 26:02Speaker 1: is just doing nothing then when I would need to
- 26:06Speaker 1: know why we haven't seen more of that. Also, I
- 26:09Speaker 1: totally blacked out when he did say that he had
- 26:12Speaker 1: been married before to an American woman for some reason.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I don't know why perimenopause really comes for you. So
- 26:17Speaker 1: just you know, just what, That's what life is like,
- 26:20Speaker 1: really crazy. Okay, my babes, let's move on. Okay, let's
- 26:26Speaker 1: get Meto and Debbie done. Meto and Debbie, this is
- 26:32Speaker 1: I mean, this is like a horror film. This is
- 26:35Speaker 1: a horror film like back Doors or Obsession has nothing
- 26:42Speaker 1: on this Meto Debbie situation. For me, I also feel
- 26:46Speaker 1: like I don't know top from bottom and it's giving
- 26:50Speaker 1: me unco like it's giving me peril. Okay, So Obviously,
- 26:59Speaker 1: she's outside losing her mind because she has brought the
- 27:05Speaker 1: love of her life, Meto shakespeare An actor old Globe
- 27:10Speaker 1: touring actor Meadow Keneth Bronna could only direct someone as
- 27:17Speaker 1: talented as Medo in a production of any Shakespeare play,
- 27:22Speaker 1: any play, to a chapel that she's found on Google
- 27:26Speaker 1: for them to get married, because they have to get
- 27:28Speaker 1: married for him to stay. And the one thing that
- 27:30Speaker 1: she has wanted besides you know, I guess she's wanted
- 27:32Speaker 1: him to say I love you and for him to
- 27:35Speaker 1: propose slash to get married to her. And the entire
- 27:38Speaker 1: thing that's happened instead is we've seen him disrespect her
- 27:42Speaker 1: entirely and for her to keep groveling and crawling back
- 27:46Speaker 1: to him, much to the dismay of us. And we
- 27:50Speaker 1: would love and can't wait to hear what her friends think.
- 27:55Speaker 1: The comments of her fun friends that know this world
- 28:01Speaker 1: but Noah Beignet when they see one, they know how
- 28:03Speaker 1: yummy Beignet works, and there's lots so we like them. Okay,
- 28:11Speaker 1: She's obviously very upset because after she brought him to
- 28:14Speaker 1: this chapel where she thought that he would be like, Wow,
- 28:16Speaker 1: what a great green mom I can't wait to get
- 28:18Speaker 1: married here. You know, we get the way. Thank you
- 28:20Speaker 1: for bringing me here. You know. He was like, I
- 28:22Speaker 1: think it's time for me to go back to Egypt.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And then she ran outside, and what I can only
- 28:28Speaker 1: describe now is gave us like a Tennessee Williams style
- 28:33Speaker 1: Southern mellow drama performance of like the kind of crying
- 28:38Speaker 1: where it turns into coughing. Like it's like so like
- 28:47Speaker 1: she is performing in a way where I'm like, mito,
- 28:50Speaker 1: are you taking notes? Are you taking this? No? What
- 28:54Speaker 1: I think Debbie is an amazing actor. If this is real,
- 29:00Speaker 1: and if like, if this is okay, if okay, sorry,
- 29:04Speaker 1: if this isn't real, if this is real, this is
- 29:06Speaker 1: like emotional abuse in the craziest way, watching like this
- 29:10Speaker 1: is crazy okay. So basically having said that, let me
- 29:13Speaker 1: get to the point. I'm sorry, I'm like talking around it.
- 29:16Speaker 1: She's upset, she's crying, she's really going outside, She's screaming.
- 29:20Speaker 1: She can't believe this is happening. She's like, I thought
- 29:23Speaker 1: his tone changed quick, and we're like his tone he
- 29:29Speaker 1: barely talked the whole time. She's like, I have to
- 29:34Speaker 1: get out. I can't breathe. He's coming out and he's like,
- 29:37Speaker 1: de dy dd baby looked at me, and we're like, nedy, baby,
- 29:42Speaker 1: look at you. And then he like tries to get
- 29:45Speaker 1: her to look at him. She won't. She's like stop it. No.
- 29:48Speaker 1: He then gets on one fucking knee one knee, takes
- 29:52Speaker 1: out a box. There's a ring in it, and we're like,
- 29:54Speaker 1: oh my god, this and then he won't. She still
- 29:56Speaker 1: won't look at him because she's so so upset. So
- 29:59Speaker 1: then he has to put the ring down on the
- 30:01Speaker 1: ground and then walk over to her, and then we
- 30:06Speaker 1: see affection between him and her, the kind of affection
- 30:12Speaker 1: that Edward could only dream of. Anyway, Mito like goes
- 30:18Speaker 1: behind her starts kissing her neck. We're like, what are
- 30:20Speaker 1: you doing? She's so confused. She's like, no, is stumba
- 30:27Speaker 1: or not? You know, You're just like, oh my god.
- 30:33Speaker 1: She says, don't do this. She cries. Then he gets
- 30:41Speaker 1: back on his knee. He says, I got you. She collapses.
- 30:48Speaker 1: She cough cries again. She can't believe that he has
- 30:51Speaker 1: done one of his classic Egyptian pranks again, the old
- 30:57Speaker 1: It's over JK, will you be my life? That thing?
- 31:03Speaker 1: How unsecure? How unstable could you? I can I cannot
- 31:07Speaker 1: imagine a world in which I've been waiting for a
- 31:11Speaker 1: man to propose to me. A that world Pete alone,
- 31:15Speaker 1: b this man is like, it's over, I gotta leave you,
- 31:22Speaker 1: and I like, obviously didn't see it coming for some reason,
- 31:25Speaker 1: this is not in the same situation because Debbie should
- 31:27Speaker 1: have seen this coming. But anyway, God bless Then I'm like, okay,
- 31:31Speaker 1: trying to get over that, and then he's like just kidding.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I want to be an asshole and I want to
- 31:35Speaker 1: marry you. I can't imagine being like good, Oh, I
- 31:39Speaker 1: can't wait for you to be my husband, my emotionally
- 31:42Speaker 1: abusive will turn on a dime don like sorry dime
- 31:47Speaker 1: psycho abusive, crazy husband who doesn't care about me or
- 31:51Speaker 1: my feelings at all? What a life? What a future
- 31:54Speaker 1: that is like for us? I can't wait for this
- 31:56Speaker 1: to be it? I mean I cannot what is why?
- 32:00Speaker 1: What world would you say yes to this? But she does?
- 32:03Speaker 1: So that is like why. I'm like, is this real?
- 32:05Speaker 1: And if this isn't real, then is she not? I
- 32:09Speaker 1: think a very good actress. I think a good actress.
- 32:19Speaker 1: How could I mean? Is what please? Just find me whatever,
- 32:24Speaker 1: shoot me an email where you're like, I also don't
- 32:26Speaker 1: think this is an email, or like a comment where
- 32:28Speaker 1: you're like, I can't believe this is real. This is
- 32:30Speaker 1: so hard to fathom. I just I know people make
- 32:34Speaker 1: decisions like this is what I think. This is hard
- 32:36Speaker 1: for me to decipher. Okay, I understand that I overly
- 32:42Speaker 1: protect myself from the world, from relationships, from my heart
- 32:46Speaker 1: getting broken. All of that I know I do. So
- 32:50Speaker 1: is the opposite so wildly confusing to me that I
- 32:55Speaker 1: can't think it to be real, Like that someone would
- 32:59Speaker 1: put themselves in this kind of peril, that someone would
- 33:03Speaker 1: ignore such grave red flags to experience what could be
- 33:12Speaker 1: astronomical pain from someone who seemingly doesn't care about your
- 33:17Speaker 1: emotional wellbeing. Are you just going to throw up throw
- 33:22Speaker 1: caution into the wind and like give all that up
- 33:25Speaker 1: for that? Like I just it's that's what I know
- 33:29Speaker 1: that I do well too much, but and I know
- 33:32Speaker 1: sometin people don't do enough. But like, what is it?
- 33:34Speaker 1: Is it just somewhere in the middle that the balance lies.
- 33:39Speaker 1: I do need you to tell me or do you
- 33:40Speaker 1: think this is fake? Okay? So when he gets the ring,
- 33:49Speaker 1: he tries to put it on her, and he's like, oh,
- 33:51Speaker 1: I didn't know what size, but it's okay because well, yeah,
- 33:55Speaker 1: because she can, you know, get whatever resize. He's like,
- 33:57Speaker 1: because you lose weight. His reaction and solution to this
- 34:04Speaker 1: is for her to change herself to fit into whatever
- 34:07Speaker 1: fucking ring size he bought. You know who probably knows
- 34:14Speaker 1: her ring size, her daughter. I wonder if he's ever
- 34:17Speaker 1: had a conversation, like a good conversation with Devin, Devin
- 34:22Speaker 1: would have been. It would have been really easy for
- 34:23Speaker 1: Devin to give him her mom's ring size. Just get
- 34:27Speaker 1: one of her many rings. She's been on God's greener
- 34:29Speaker 1: for a long enough time. She has rings on her size.
- 34:31Speaker 1: She has like a you know, some sort of like
- 34:34Speaker 1: jewelry plate slash holder she keeps in her top drawer.
- 34:39Speaker 1: You could have just gone in there and get it,
- 34:44Speaker 1: but it goes back to something else interesting. So yeah,
- 34:46Speaker 1: obviously this is you know, wildly egotistical for him, like, oh,
- 34:50Speaker 1: she lose weight. Everyone knows when you lose weight, usually
- 34:55Speaker 1: you lose enough weight to lose weight in your fingers.
- 34:57Speaker 1: You know how much weight you have to lose to
- 34:58Speaker 1: lose weight in your fingers? I mean she'd have to
- 35:01Speaker 1: lose like twenty five pounds and she doesn't have twenty
- 35:05Speaker 1: five pounds to lose. She's like, you know, a slender lady.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I don't know how weight actually works. I mean I actually, yeah,
- 35:12Speaker 1: I really don't know how weight works. I know that
- 35:14Speaker 1: when I gain weight, it's a lot in my stomach
- 35:20Speaker 1: and my arms and face, and then when I lose weight,
- 35:25Speaker 1: I get arms and face first, and then I takes
- 35:28Speaker 1: a long time for me to lose weight in my stomach.
- 35:30Speaker 1: But yeah, but like fingers, no, okay. He then says
- 35:36Speaker 1: something nice. He's like I complete her, and we're like, well, yeah,
- 35:43Speaker 1: we know that you would feel that way. And then
- 35:45Speaker 1: he says, and she completes me. And for a moment
- 35:51Speaker 1: where like that's probably the most humble and the most
- 35:54Speaker 1: vulnerable you've ever been to ever even consider that you
- 36:00Speaker 1: might not be whole, although you might not need something,
- 36:03Speaker 1: or that she might do something profound or divine for you,
- 36:09Speaker 1: Like I just it felt like a different person, or
- 36:12Speaker 1: like who's this? It would be annoying. It's annoying for
- 36:20Speaker 1: me to not get the full spectrum of human behavior
- 36:24Speaker 1: when there's like a docu series, so I don't want
- 36:27Speaker 1: to have like an archetype of a villain if there's
- 36:29Speaker 1: like cutting room floor footage of someone being a normal,
- 36:33Speaker 1: nice person. I also don't want contrived moments of drama
- 36:37Speaker 1: when you know, specifically there could just have been more
- 36:41Speaker 1: money in the production to have more hours of them
- 36:44Speaker 1: filming and then just catch which is like natural that
- 36:49Speaker 1: happens because often on the show we get while the
- 36:52Speaker 1: cameras were not filming, or the other night or last
- 36:55Speaker 1: night kind of situations where then we get drama that
- 36:58Speaker 1: unfolded that we weren't privy to, and it's like, well,
- 37:00Speaker 1: then why are we watching the show or whatever. It's like,
- 37:02Speaker 1: just this show is doing well enough, is successful enough
- 37:06Speaker 1: that I would rather have less seasons and just enough
- 37:09Speaker 1: production to get real drama and real people doing real shit.
- 37:15Speaker 1: So that's why I'm like for him. If he's not
- 37:18Speaker 1: a villainous villain that is wildly self serving, and if
- 37:24Speaker 1: there's been moments of him being nice or kind or
- 37:28Speaker 1: gracious or in love with her or affectionate towards her,
- 37:33Speaker 1: it feels like we would be stupid to continue to
- 37:39Speaker 1: watch if we found out that existed the whole time
- 37:45Speaker 1: and was kept from us, because it does feel like
- 37:50Speaker 1: we deserve the full picture, and by we, I mean
- 37:54Speaker 1: the audience. I'm just like, what is the plan? It
- 38:10Speaker 1: feels like there are two options to this. We now
- 38:15Speaker 1: take at face value that this man has a loving
- 38:17Speaker 1: heart that has loved her, that feels like very thankful
- 38:21Speaker 1: and appreciative that Debbie is in his life and you know,
- 38:24Speaker 1: like cares about her and wants to get married, that
- 38:30Speaker 1: life began with her kind of coming into his life,
- 38:34Speaker 1: which is what that whole completes me kind of means.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Or he decides in a fraction of a second what
- 38:45Speaker 1: his next move's going to be, or he does yeah,
- 38:52Speaker 1: it just it's so interesting, or he yeah, it's like
- 38:55Speaker 1: what is his end goal? When they're kissing, she's like,
- 39:03Speaker 1: oh my god, baby, say it to me, say what
- 39:07Speaker 1: I want to hear he's And then we thought it's
- 39:10Speaker 1: like the I love you thing because he was like,
- 39:15Speaker 1: will you marry me? But he never really was like
- 39:17Speaker 1: I love you. He's like, will you marry me? She's
- 39:21Speaker 1: like in Arabic and he's like, whatever had I on
- 39:23Speaker 1: how to say will you marry me? In Arabic? But
- 39:26Speaker 1: he didn't say on a Behebic, which is how you
- 39:29Speaker 1: say I love you, and Arabid is such a flowery language.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I think I've said this before. I feel like it's
- 39:40Speaker 1: crazy to not have someone like be constantly saying on
- 39:45Speaker 1: a behebic and or a bibie to someone that is
- 39:51Speaker 1: your fiance, and you feel like, I don't say that.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Everyone says it. You don't say no, one says it.
- 40:03Speaker 1: That's like being like, yeah, I don't like this is
- 40:08Speaker 1: to be someone who speaks Arabic and not say those
- 40:11Speaker 1: words to me feels like an American or English person
- 40:15Speaker 1: English speaking person being like I don't I don't use
- 40:18Speaker 1: that word, the word the that's how much you hear it.
- 40:23Speaker 1: You're like, you don't use the word the. I don't
- 40:26Speaker 1: use it. I step around it. I need a apple
- 40:32Speaker 1: and apple please pass a remote that's around you. To me,
- 40:37Speaker 1: you're like, what you side step the word the in
- 40:41Speaker 1: the English language. That's how much you avoid that word
- 40:45Speaker 1: everyone else says all the time. Makes no sense, Like
- 40:49Speaker 1: that's why like mitosole, like, I don't think that Egyptian
- 40:52Speaker 1: people play that many pranks. You would have to tell
- 40:54Speaker 1: me I'm not Egyptian. Tell me if you are Egyptian.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Besides the fact that you know, a lot of Egyptian
- 41:01Speaker 1: people have been on my social media, it's being like,
- 41:04Speaker 1: we don't know him. We go to the movies a lot.
- 41:09Speaker 1: You know what we're doing. We're seeing Odyssey and Imax
- 41:12Speaker 1: this weekend. You know what, we didn't see Meto in imax, Honey,
- 41:16Speaker 1: not Meto and thirty five millimeter not Meto in any millimeter.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I gotta know film more. Isn't it interesting that like
- 41:29Speaker 1: seventy millimeter is twice thirty five? So does that you know? Okay,
- 41:38Speaker 1: you're okay, you know what I mean? Thirty five millimeter
- 41:41Speaker 1: and then seventy millimeter. Okay, so IMAX means seventy millimeter?
- 41:45Speaker 1: Is that what it means? Or just no? Two different things.
- 41:49Speaker 1: But Odyssey's both both captured in Imax format and also
- 41:55Speaker 1: a big screen format. Alison, I'm not quite your but
- 42:00Speaker 1: I'm going to find out before when you're hearing this.
- 42:02Speaker 1: I've already already found out at least what looks like
- 42:04Speaker 1: in that format. But still, God bless Okay, Anyway, that's
- 42:11Speaker 1: really what happens for them in this episode, and we
- 42:14Speaker 1: know again because we've seen it, that they get married,
- 42:19Speaker 1: but they have a marriage license in these streets. So
- 42:22Speaker 1: this is how this went down. And I wonder why
- 42:28Speaker 1: Meto allowed himself to be the villain. I think it
- 42:33Speaker 1: would have been much better for Meadow's career if he
- 42:36Speaker 1: had cast himself as the victim. If Debbie had been
- 42:40Speaker 1: like a very controlling and she could have been wildly
- 42:46Speaker 1: crazy white lady that like you know, is just passport
- 42:51Speaker 1: brawing her way I don't know, around and got like
- 42:53Speaker 1: a young tour guy to come to America. Like, if
- 42:57Speaker 1: he had painted himself as the victim, surely I would
- 43:01Speaker 1: think would have a better chance at parlaying that into superstardom.
- 43:07Speaker 1: We like to be on someone's side. I just don't
- 43:12Speaker 1: really see that like anyone, you know, this is Peace
- 43:15Speaker 1: really turned people off. It's funny because him and Katie
- 43:20Speaker 1: are the absolute villains of the season, which is much
- 43:25Speaker 1: to Allison's dismay. Alison of Shane Annabel but no, but
- 43:31Speaker 1: she's really up there though. Okay, So that ends part
- 43:35Speaker 1: one of this mega recap, and part two will be
- 43:39Speaker 1: coming your way at the same time. It doesn't have
- 43:42Speaker 1: to end here, it never does. Make sure that you
