- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Oh, look at him like right on cue today there.
- 0:33Jeez, that cracks me up when he does that.
- 0:36So I have a question for you today because a lot of people
- 0:39recently have said they're endeavouring in new projects and
- 0:43people have given them feedback about how this project said
- 0:47project may not work. And I, I, I'm curious about who
- 0:54you're taking your feedback from.
- 0:55Now, I'm not suggesting that all of you have had this recently,
- 0:58but it seems to be when, whenever our economy starts to
- 1:01get weird and funky, people will start to look for alternatives.
- 1:06And a lot of them go into entrepreneurship, which is
- 1:09something that my family has been in absolutely forever.
- 1:12My dad's mom, my grandmother had opened her own remnant shop
- 1:18during the Depression, which is so impressive because she could
- 1:22do something. And my grand, my grandfather who
- 1:24owned a cabinet making business, obviously was not making
- 1:28cabinets in the middle of the Depression.
- 1:30So she figured out a business and she did it on her own.
- 1:34She was like, she's like my hero and my I was just brought up in
- 1:38the fact of listen, you always, you always go and have your own
- 1:42thing going, whether you do it full time or part time, you
- 1:44always have your own gig going. But hence back to feedback.
- 1:50So lots of people love to give feedback, don't they?
- 1:52Whether it's asked for it or not, people love to give you
- 1:56their opinion and, and feedback. And I always have to ask the
- 2:01question, what great achievement has been performed by this
- 2:06person that qualifies them to set up any limitations for you?
- 2:11What I mean honestly, what great, what great thing did they
- 2:15do? Unless they have done something
- 2:18that you admire so much and they have been the person that has
- 2:22run multiple businesses, they are qualified to sit there and
- 2:25give you the things that could potentially be a downfall.
- 2:29They have no business telling you anything that you should
- 2:32take in as a permanent opinion. So think of it this way, You can
- 2:38have somebody give you their opinion and their limitations
- 2:42and their reasons. However you want to look at it
- 2:45that you might maybe shouldn't do something.
- 2:48Sure, listen, because you never know what you're going to learn.
- 2:51And my opinion is there's always something to learn in every
- 2:54situation. There's always something to
- 2:55learn. That being said, what we do is
- 2:59not pay attention to it and take it in long term.
- 3:03We do not need to take something in long term.
- 3:06We just hear it and we let it go.
- 3:08We don't make it something that puts us in a position where it
- 3:12stops us from our dreams. I mean, hell, if I had let
- 3:15people stop me from my dreams or I would have never ever years
- 3:19ago gone to work for Tony Robbins.
- 3:21My mother thought it was the craziest thing in the whole
- 3:24world. She's like, well, you, you have
- 3:26your own business. Why would you do this?
- 3:29Because at the time I owned an advertising agency in a
- 3:31photography studio. And why would I go?
- 3:34Why would I do that? Well, there was just a part of
- 3:37me that always wanted as as great as I am at in my creative
- 3:42zone, there was a part of me from the time I was little that
- 3:46wanted to be a teacher, that wanted to be a writer, that
- 3:49wanted to do the things that I'm doing right this moment.
- 3:53And I just didn't do it because I was, you know, and believe me,
- 3:58my father was the one that told me I couldn't be a teacher
- 4:01because at the time in the world that when that was taking place,
- 4:04there was no technology to do what we did.
- 4:07There was no coaching. There was this this thing that I
- 4:10do didn't exist. So while his opinion was valid
- 4:15and I listened to him because he had achieved all the stuff that
- 4:19I wanted to. And I went down the road that
- 4:21opened up my world and created a business for me and everything
- 4:25else. The moment that I could do
- 4:27something else, the moment that I went down this road and had
- 4:30that exposure to self development, it changed
- 4:33everything. Now, that was after my father
- 4:36had passed away, I had other things open up, but I always
- 4:40kept it in the back of my head that I would look for that
- 4:42opportunity. Because when my father gave me
- 4:45the advice, he said something very important.
- 4:48He said if you can find a way to teach and you can find a way to
- 4:51teach and make really good money doing it, then then you should
- 4:57go into it. But you've got to always look at
- 4:59how much your time is worth. Ever since that man said that to
- 5:03me, I always look at how much my time is worth worth, and I value
- 5:07my time greatly. So I took in the advice, I held
- 5:11on to the information because I knew at some point something
- 5:15would have to come up. Something would have to come up.
- 5:18And once self-publishing got in the world and you didn't have to
- 5:21spend an inordinate amount of time and effort to get a
- 5:25publisher to pay attention to you because now you could have
- 5:28you commanded your own value, which is so important.
- 5:33So think about this, whatever you have going on, whatever you
- 5:38want to do, whatever you're thinking, you want to have
- 5:40happen in your world and you go out and you share it with
- 5:43people. Be careful who you share it
- 5:45with, because if you're looking for people to just be your
- 5:48cheerleaders, they don't. So, so choose carefully if
- 5:52you're looking for people to say, wow, you know, I'm so
- 5:56impressed by you. They don't because it's not
- 5:59about you when you're doing this.
- 6:00It's about them and where they are in their head.
- 6:02And if they're looking and they're comparing you to them,
- 6:05oh boy, that's even worse because by comparison, holy cow,
- 6:09they don't want to look at this and say you are where you are
- 6:13and I am where I am and I'm far lower than you and therefore I'm
- 6:17I suck. They don't want to be honest
- 6:19with what's happening in their world.
- 6:20They just want to put other people in their place.
- 6:23And I'm air quoting that as I say it so that they don't feel
- 6:26out of place. So be careful with who you share
- 6:29it with and be careful before you even ask the question and be
- 6:33careful about what you believe about it because you have to
- 6:37believe in your dreams more than anybody, otherwise they won't
- 6:40come true. I believed in this dream that I
- 6:42had of creating this magical world that I could share with
- 6:45everybody and use to show you how you can have anything.
- 6:49I have an amazing life I've created out here and I do.
- 6:52I do all that I do from a farm, I mean, think about that.
- 6:56I get to run this farm, create constant non-stop beautiful
- 7:01things out here and I get to do what I want to do.
- 7:04It's not an accident, it's a choice.
- 7:06So I hope you guys have a very blessed day and whatever you are
- 7:11doing and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 7:13Bye.
