- 0:00Hey, I'll welcome today's show. There's an awful lot going on in the
- 0:04world right now, and I am very tivity to get distracted and do a
- 0:09more topical podcast, but I want to continue on the sacraments right now,
- 0:15because you know, this is this is the heart of our faith. You
- 0:18know, Let's get the important things first and then we'll deal with what is
- 0:24Jesus said, wars and rumors of wars. I mean, they'll they'll always
- 0:28be problems, will always be things going on. I guess the only thing
- 0:33I could say is boycott the Dodgers. I'm sure you know by now that
- 0:37the Dodgers are have invited an anti Catholic hate group of transgendered blasphemers to parade
- 0:49around and support at their baseball games. So you know, what can I
- 0:55say? Vince Scully would not approve, Okay, one of my great heroes
- 1:00as a baseball announcer, and we need more men like him still around.
- 1:06Gosh, I can't even imagine what Skip Carrey would have said. I mean,
- 1:10I'm talking about announcers now, because they gave the commentary in the game.
- 1:12There were so many great ones. Harry Carey, I mean, Skip
- 1:18was so great. He had such a great sense of humor. But Vince
- 1:22Scali was such a patriot and a Christian and a good man. And wow,
- 1:27have our American pastime. You know, maybe it does reflect the culture.
- 1:33America's culture has gotten really bad, really bad. It's sad. I
- 1:37love baseball. I absolutely love baseball, and one of my favorite things was
- 1:42seeing the Braves play the Dodgers. Wonderful rivalry, two fantastic franchises with great
- 1:48history. You know, we're a Braves fan, you know, obviously,
- 1:51But no, I love the Dodgers too, always did and I won't watch
- 1:53no never again they play, not watching it. And if major LYE Baseball
- 2:00is going to continue to celebrate Pridemont, I guess I may just have to
- 2:04give up on baseball entirely. That's a shame, what I mean, what
- 2:07a wonderful history the sport has. You can sit there and you can talk
- 2:10about the great players, the pitchers, the batters, the stats. I
- 2:15mean, there's nothing like a baseball game. It's only sporting. I enjoyed
- 2:19playing as a kid, well, baseball on rugby, but rugby would just
- 2:22kind of beat each other up. You know, we didn't even know what
- 2:24we were doing. But no, that was good at baseball. I just
- 2:28my vision had not been diagnosed at the time. I wear glasses, and
- 2:32I didn't know. I couldn't see the ball. I was playing just by
- 2:37instinct, and I was actually fairly good. Had I had glasses and a
- 2:43coach that could have guided me, you know, I might have become a
- 2:46professional baseball player. I was actually pretty good. And you know, last
- 2:51year, when MLB decided to celebrate Pridemont, I just canceled my MLB TV
- 2:57subscription, stop watching. And I guess I'm going to have to do the
- 3:00same thing this year. And it makes me sad. I mean, honestly,
- 3:05it makes me so sad that our great American institution has come to this.
- 3:15It's not right. And you're talking about around two percent of the population.
- 3:21That's traditionally what the homosexual population has been. It's about two percent.
- 3:24Some people would estimate five percent, but no, it's usually around two percent
- 3:30plus what was considered a mental illness until just about a decade ago, this
- 3:35whole transgender crap, and it's been so shoved narrow throats and so promoted that
- 3:42in recent surveys, about a quarter of high school students consider themselves non buyinary.
- 3:49Okay, if you can get through kindergarten or first grade without being taught
- 3:53look down between your legs and figure out what gender you are so you know
- 3:57which bathroom to go to, and anything else is a mental disorder, then
- 4:02you have been poorly educated. In fact, you've been indoctrinated. It's bad.
- 4:09I mean, honestly, it's it's satanic. We're seeing satanic things happen
- 4:15right in front of us on baseball games. And as much as I love
- 4:18baseball, I'm just gonna turn it off. I would not buy a ticket.
- 4:24I certainly wouldn't pay for parking and expensive food and everything else that it
- 4:30takes to go to a ballgame these days, just to see my church and
- 4:34my faith and everything denigrated right in front of my eyes. And until people
- 4:40stand up and say no more, they're going to keep doing it because hey,
- 4:46maybe you know two to five percent of the population, but they're in
- 4:49charge now, they got the megaphone, they're the ones running the media,
- 4:54So it's up to you. Bud Light Budweiser the largest, most wealthy,
- 5:00most prosperous beer brewing company in the world. I think my loss last counted
- 5:05lost around thirty billion dollars after putting a transgendered lunatic on their beer cans and
- 5:15promoting that Target is looking at serious losses. There may they're saying now that
- 5:23Target shareholders shareholders may sue the company for the losses through their whole transgender homosexual
- 5:32campaign. Let Walmart be next. Walmart said they don't care what their customers
- 5:39think. They're going to do it anyway. Let the Dodgers, Let major
- 5:43League Baseball be next. Get more of us. We're you know, ninety
- 5:50five percent of the population. Let's assume ten percent of us care. That's
- 5:58still expan inchally more than all the homosexuals and transgenders in America. Let's use
- 6:05our dollars. Let's use our television viewership. You know, when Fox News
- 6:11helped Joe Biden still the election last a couple of years ago, I turned
- 6:15them off. You know, you sold us out. They don't have my
- 6:19viewership anymore. Now they fired Tucker Carlson. A lot of people have turned
- 6:24them off. I can go down the list. We can absolutely make things
- 6:30right. But the big part of it is pension funds not well on us.
- 6:33So much pensions before one case your retirement funds. The companies that are
- 6:38managing them, they're the ones that are calling the shots. You gotta get
- 6:43your money into investment firms that share your values, and barring that, why
- 6:53risk it at all. I mean, they're they're taking your money to promote
- 6:56an agenda that is satanic and opposed to your beliefs and endangering and threatening your
- 7:02family, hoping to give you maybe a ten percent yield over a ten year
- 7:08average. Now you're not going to get much put in a savings account,
- 7:13and you know banks aren't much better. You know where you can actually get
- 7:17old big return for your money. Land? Yeah, farmland. That's why
- 7:24Bill Gates is buying up all the farmland. It's a safer investment. You
- 7:28can buy an acre of land if it's cleared. Wow. You can rent
- 7:33it out to somebody to farm. If you don't want to grow something on
- 7:35it yourself, you can develop it and build a house on it. You
- 7:39can so many things. You can rent it out as parking spaces if you
- 7:45wanted to, and it's going to hold its value. In fact, it's
- 7:46going to be worth more year over year than your dollar. I'm not saying
- 7:51buy gold. I'm not saying, you know, buy anything but land.
- 7:56That's I think the safest investment. You buy some land with timber on it.
- 8:01You let the timber be cut once, grow back, and cut again,
- 8:03and that timber on the land is paid for the cost of the land.
- 8:07True wealth is actually not in paper dollars, which actually have no value.
- 8:13Any kind of currency, whether it's paper, gold, or digital is
- 8:18nearly is merely a store of value. Real value is land, food,
- 8:26timber, shelter. That's actual value. It's the things you actually use dollars
- 8:31to buy that last that aren't just you know, used up, like the
- 8:35burger you bought from some fast food joint. The burger is not a store
- 8:39of value. The dollars a store of value. Land is both a store
- 8:43of value and an investment that is absolutely secure, because even if the totally
- 8:50economy totally collapsed, you'd have land on which on which to live and grow
- 8:56food. So it's us a lot more sense to me, and I think
- 9:01if we start thinking along those lines, we could really bring these woke companies
- 9:07to their knees. Now let's get it back into the sacraments today. Let's
- 9:13talk about reconciliation. What does the Bible say about confession and forgiveness of sins.
- 9:22You have to remember when Jesus forgave sins, the Jews said he was
- 9:26blaspheming. He was blaspheming when Jesus said to his apostles he gave them the
- 9:31power to absolve sins that changed all of human history in an instant. And
- 9:39Protestants to this day say that Catholics are blaspheming when we do what the Bible
- 9:45tells us to do, which does have our sins forgiven by a priest.
- 9:48So let's start with John twenty one through twenty three. It was very early
- 9:54on the first day of the week and still dark when Mary of Magnala came
- 9:56to the tomb. She saw that the stone had been moved away. Jesus
- 10:00said Mary. She turned around then, and he said and said to him
- 10:05in Hebrew, rabooni, which means master. In the evening that same day,
- 10:09the first day of the week, the doors were closed in in the
- 10:11room where the disciples were for fear of the Jews. Jesus stood, came
- 10:16and stood among them. He said to them, peace be with you.
- 10:20And after saying this, he showed them his hands in his side The disciples
- 10:24were filled with joy at seeing the Lord, and he said to them again,
- 10:26peace be with you, as the Father sent me, so I am
- 10:30sending you. After saying this, he breathed on them and said, received
- 10:33the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven. If
- 10:37you retain anyone's sins, they are retained. So much in that passage,
- 10:43and just think about these words, as the Father sent me, so I
- 10:46am sending you. The apostles of whom they were eleven at this point,
- 10:52there would soon be a twelfth, and then they would add Saint Paul to
- 10:54their ranks. He sent them as the Father sent him. He sent them
- 11:03to be Him in this world. They went out and stood in persona Christie,
- 11:09in persona ex christie at in the person of Christ. And what powers
- 11:15did he give them? Well, first and foremost anyone. If you forgive
- 11:18anyone's sins, they are forgiven. If you retain anyone's sins, they are
- 11:24retained. This one passage alone should be the undoing of all Protestant denominations.
- 11:33Only the Catholic Church authorized by Jesus Christ, founded by Jesus Christ, with
- 11:39priests who are in the Apostolic succession through the power to bind and loose.
- 11:45The Apostles ordained those who came after them, who ordained those who came after
- 11:50them, who ordained those who came after them, with the power given to
- 11:54them by Jesus Christ, which is how he can be with his church until
- 11:58the end of the world. That's what he said, I will be with
- 12:01you until the end of the world. That's how it works. And he
- 12:07says, as the Father sent me, so I am sending you. And
- 12:11he gave to men the power to forgive sins. That alone, I mean,
- 12:18that is the one thing I think the Protestants get worked up about more
- 12:22than eath thing else. How can you go to a priests forgive sins?
- 12:26Only God can forgive sins. That's the same charge the Jews raised. She
- 12:28gets Christ, They said, how can this man forgive sins? Only God
- 12:33can forgive sins. Jesus was God, Jesus is God, and as God,
- 12:37he transferred that power to the Apostles. Don't trust me. Just read
- 12:41what he said, and you can go online and just look at this passage
- 12:46and you will find Protestants just turning themselves inside out, coming with every kind
- 12:50up with every convoluted way of trying to explain this passage other than what it
- 12:56actually says, other than what actually says, And what did Jesus say,
- 13:07receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone sins, they are forgiven.
- 13:11If you're retain anyone sins, they are retained. He also said to sin
- 13:16against the Holy Spirit was the unforgivable sin. What does it mean to sin
- 13:22against the Holy Spirit? Well, in the time of Christ, it was
- 13:24when the Jews accused Jesus a blasphemy of being possessed by a devil. The
- 13:31very God himself was in front of him of them, and they refuse to
- 13:35believe it, even though the evidence was before their own eyes. What does
- 13:41it mean for a Catholic? Well, if a Catholic refuses to go to
- 13:45a priest and confess their sins, they're refusing to forgiveness given to them by
- 13:52the Holy Spirit through the priest. What does it mean for a Protestant?
- 13:56It's to deny the power of the Holy Spirit given to the apostles by Jesus
- 14:01Christ to forgive sins. Fortunately, people are only held account before what they
- 14:07understand and more. If Protestants understood this passage of scripture, they would have
- 14:13to become Catholic. If they understand it and refuse it, then that's a
- 14:20setting against the Holy Spirit, and it won't be forgiven. Very very dangerous
- 14:28piece of scripture right here. This is you know, when Jesus said I
- 14:31came to bring the sword, this is literally what he was talking about.
- 14:35This sword was. I mean, he's the Prince of peace, right,
- 14:41everything about him he brings peace. Blessed are the peacemakers. Right. But
- 14:46he said he also brought the sword. The sword is actually saying the power
- 14:54that makes one have to accept that they have to repent of their former life,
- 14:58and they have to change the way of thinking. They have to admit
- 15:03they were wrong. This passage of scripture is in many ways the sword of
- 15:11Jesus Corinthians, Second Corinthians five seventeen through twenty. For at the judgment seat
- 15:20of Christ, we are all to be seen for what we are, so
- 15:24that each of us may receive what he has deserved in the body, matched
- 15:28to whatever he has done, good or bad. So for anyone who is
- 15:31in Christ there is a new creation. The old order has gone, and
- 15:33a new being is there to see. It is all God's work. He
- 15:37reconciled himself through Christ, and he gave us the ministry of reconciliation. I
- 15:43mean God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not holding anyone's faults
- 15:50against him, but entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. So if we
- 15:54are ambassadors of Christ, it is as though God were urging youth through us.
- 16:00And in the name of Christ, we appeal to you to be reconciled
- 16:03to God. The sacrament of confession is the sacrament of reconciliation. Here in
- 16:10corinthesesus said very clear, Christ came to reconcile the world to himself, and
- 16:15he gave us the ministry of reconciliation. To the apostles and to their successors,
- 16:23you have to be reconciled to God and the vehicle he set up.
- 16:30The means through which he set up is expressly clear. When He gave the
- 16:36apostles the power to forgive sins or to retain sins. See, it would
- 16:41be one thing if it was just to forgive. Well, you could say,
- 16:45if they have to forgive, they have to forgive anything I do.
- 16:48That's fine. It's like many prisents will say once saved, always saved.
- 16:52They reject the whole idea of confessions. So they say, once I believe
- 16:56in God, you know I can sin. I can whatever, no matter
- 16:59what I do, to go into heaven. No, absolutely not. The
- 17:03Bible doesn't say that. Saint Paul talked about working out of salvation and fear
- 17:07and trembling. Jesus said, if if one you should leave one of these
- 17:12little ones astray, it would be better if a millstone had been thrown tight
- 17:15around his neck and thrown in the ocean. The very apostle who betrayed him
- 17:22Judas certainly, when he regretted betraying, he realized the wrongness of what he
- 17:29had done. But there was he knew Jesus was Christ, but he was
- 17:34not saved. Jesus said, it would be better for that man had he
- 17:38never lived. And by some accounts he hanged himselves. In some accounts he
- 17:42threw himself off a tree or a cliff or something and split open. I
- 17:48mean the sign of perdition. He was called. There is no guarantee of
- 17:56salvation without repentance. For sins continue tenuously from the time you're baptized to the
- 18:02time you die, and there's one vehicle for that, which is going to
- 18:06a priest and asking forgive us through the sins. Priests will give you penance.
- 18:08The priest will stand in person of Christie. His words are Jesus' words,
- 18:14his hands are Jesus's words, because Jesus said, as the Father sent
- 18:18me, I send you. He guaranteed them against all powers of evil and
- 18:22error. And when the priest absolves you of your sins, Jesus Christ is
- 18:26standing before you absolving you of your sins. And if you don't do that
- 18:32before you die, you will have, Hopefully, if you believe in God
- 18:37and you're a good Christian, you don't die immortal sin, murder, adults,
- 18:41etc. You'll have the opportunity of purgatory where Jesus said you would stay
- 18:47in there and you till you had paid every last penny, because nothing impure
- 18:51can enter the Kingdom of heaven. He compared it to a debtor's prison.
- 18:56In other words, I think we can do marriage real quick. What the
- 19:03Bible says about marriage Matthew nineteen four through twelve. Some pharisees approached him and
- 19:10put him the test and said, is it against the law for a man
- 19:12to divorce his wife on any pretext whatsoever. He answered, have you not
- 19:17read that the Creator from the beginning made them male and female, and that
- 19:21he said, this is why a man leaves his father and mother and becomes
- 19:23attached to his wife, and the two become one flesh. They are no
- 19:26longer two, therefore, but one flesh. And then what God has united
- 19:30human beings must not divide. They said to him, why then did Moses
- 19:34command that a writ of dismissal should be given in case of divorce? He
- 19:38said to them, it was because you were so hardhearted that Moses allowed you
- 19:42to divorce your wives. But it was not like this from the beginning.
- 19:45Now I say to you, anyone who divorces his wife, I am not
- 19:48speaking of an illicit marriage. An illicit marriage is two people who aren't validly
- 19:53married. It's grounds for annoyment, by the way, and Mary's another is
- 19:59guilty of adultery. The disciple said to him, if this is how things
- 20:03are between husband and wife, is advisable not to marry. But he replied,
- 20:07it is not everyone who could accept what I have said, but only
- 20:10those to whom it is granted. There are eunuchs born. So for their
- 20:12mother's womb. There are eunuchs made so by human agency, and there are
- 20:15eunuchs who have made themselves so for the sake of heaven. Let anyone who
- 20:19accept Let anyone accept this who can. Jesus explicitly says, no divorce.
- 20:26If you divorce and remarry, you're committing adultery. And then he mentions that
- 20:32some people take a vow of chastity and for the kingdom of heaven, priests,
- 20:37monks, nuns, and he says it's a good thing, Mark ten
- 20:42two through twelve. Some pharisees approached him and ask us it lawful for a
- 20:47man to divorce his wife. They were putting him to the test. He
- 20:49answered them, what did Moses command you? They replied, Moses allowed us
- 20:53to draw up a writ of dismissal in cases of divorce. Then Jesus said
- 20:57to them, it was because you were so hardhearted that he wrote this commandment
- 21:02for you. But from the beginning of creation he made them male and female.
- 21:04This is why a man leaves his father and the two become one flesh.
- 21:08They are no longer two therefore, but one flesh. So then what
- 21:12God has united human beings must not divide back in the house disciples, question
- 21:18began about this, and he said to them, whoever divorces his wife and
- 21:22marries another is guilty of adultery against her. And if a woman divorces her
- 21:26husband and marries another, she is guilty of adultery too. No human institution
- 21:33can give a moral divorce, not a judge, not a Protestant minister,
- 21:38nobody. Jesus said. The two are now one, and no human may
- 21:45divide them. It's pretty darn clear. Every Protestant church allows divorce, and
- 21:52every Protestant church does the exact opposite of what Jesus said. Jesus said it,
- 21:56just do it, okay, Luke sixteen eighteen. Everyone who divorces his
- 22:00wife and marries another is guilty of adultery. And the man who marries a
- 22:04divorced woman by her husband commits adultery. How many times I mean, I've
- 22:11known ministers who have been divorced and remarried several times, Protestant ministers. How
- 22:15can you be a Christian and not do what Jesus said? Again, you
- 22:19can go online and find people just turning themselves inside out. Try and explain
- 22:23how Jesus didn't really mean that, but he's saying it as plainly as can
- 22:26be Hebrews eleven four. Marriage must be honored by all, and marriages must
- 22:33be kept undefiled because the sexually immoral and adulterers will come under God's judgment.
- 22:41As I explained a couple of days ago when we were talking about the sacraments,
- 22:44of valid marriage can only be evaluated by the church. If you go
- 22:51to a Catholic church, they will look at your marriage. They will tell
- 22:55you if you have been married validly in the first point part, and if
- 23:00not, you can receive an annoyment. But divorce is absolutely, specifically outlawed
- 23:08by the words of Jesus Christ. Is not allowed. It is prohibited if
- 23:18there's a bad situation. Catholic Church says absolutely separation, but you can't remarry.
- 23:22If you remarry, you're committing adultery. The prises and Church, especially
- 23:26the Anglican Church, is founded upon divorce. That's the whole reason King Henry
- 23:32broke away from the Catholic Church. Every Priestant church says divorce is okay.
- 23:38That makes every Protestant church in opposition to the very words of God. Only
- 23:45one church has the fullness of the truth, and only one church respects the
- 23:52sacrament of marriage, where the two actually become one. What God has joined
- 23:59together. Let no man part or tearis sunder, it says, and other
- 24:03translations. So y'all, that's it. We live in a troubling world,
- 24:08a troubling time where the majority of children do not have two parents, the
- 24:17majority of marriage is end in divorce, and almost as many unions that produce
- 24:22a child are out of wedlock. Very few people have any respect for marriage
- 24:32anymore. And we are heading in a bad direction. And I think we
- 24:37can look at what's going on with the transgender and the Pride Month and all
- 24:41that and see exactly where this is ending. But it's up to us,
- 24:45where the church militant, we can turn this around. And if we live
- 24:49our own lives the way God tells us to, we can be a huge
- 24:56influence in the world and we can do us right for our emily. So,
- 25:00in the words of Saint Padre Pio, pray, hope and don't worry,
- 25:03and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
